Breitbart: Martha’s Vineyard Could House Six Million Refugees

"No, I'm not making this up. This was on breitbart, Breitbart News. They say, according to their numbers, Martha's Vineyard could house 6 million refugees. I wonder how they came up with the numbers. Did they do the math? It could depend on how large each illegal is. I don't know if they just, if they rounded off the numbers to a certain size, illegal alien. I mean, there might be some larger, some smaller, we don't know. So anyway, here's how they did it. Since his data reports around 17,000 yearlong residents, their MRS vineyard, there are 14,600 homes. So they estimate that each home has four bedrooms, each bedroom can sleep three people comfortably, that would bring the island sleep capacity up to a 175,200 beds. A 158,200 would be unoccupied. So if anything, they're saying this actually underestimates the sleeping capacity on the island. They say if you're really packed people in, you've let people sleep in the living rooms and libraries, and dining rooms and studies, you could easily house about 400,000 illegals at Martha's Vineyard. Maybe just maybe this is the solution it is an island, and we could just move all the illegals here. What four point 4.2 million? And then you would still have room for more illegals coming across. I think this may be a brilliant solution here, is to turn Martha's Vineyard into a sanctuary island for the legals and then you can just give it to them to say, you know what? We're going to give you your own little island nation. Might even give you like an ambassador's office or something. I like this idea. So there you go. Thank you to the good people of the mathematicians at breitbart for setting the record straight there. Wow.

Understanding a Journalist's Sixth Sense

"So stories like Ricky Morton and Justin Bieber, and you've heard enough about me talking about Britney Spears, but all those stories, they don't come to a journalist in a nice, pretty box with a bow on top. We don't get the answer to these stories like that. And these are the kind of stories we won't find out about. Well, we won't find out what was really wrong until many years from now when these people sit down with whoever the next Oprah Obama Walt dish is, right? So in the meantime, in the meantime, that leaves people like me and other journalists, journalists who've hauled their skills after many years of chasing stories to figure out what's going on. I like to say that I have a Spidey sense when it comes to these sorts of stories and my Spidey sense has been right way more than it's been wrong. It's probably operating at 85%. You develop when you work as a journalist, this ability to use this 6th sense, not because you're some mystic. But because you've covered so many stories in 20 some odd years, you tend to know where they're going to go. It's like a cop tracking down a criminal or an animal or a predator chasing down prey. You know where the animal's going to go. So you don't have to make all the calls right away to the publicist and the sources you know. You know, you can probably start out with saying, oh, I know this is going. I think I have an idea.

The Deleted Secret Service Texts Don't Sit Well With Glenn Kirschner

"Let's talk specifically a couple things. Obviously, Secret Service, you, I think you were quoting someone else, but you just said, so now they can't retrieve their own deleted information. I'm not buying it. You said the USS S is the premier law enforcement organization when it comes to investigating cybercrimes so they're missing deleted texts from January 6th. Seems inconceivable. Also the fact that they've lawyered up with outside lawyers, that's really fishy, isn't it? Yeah, first of all, I embrace everybody's Sixth Amendment right to counsel. I really do, even if you're a member of a law enforcement organization. But there is an incongruity when you're a member of a law enforcement organization and you're afraid of the questions to come about your conduct. So you lawyer up. That is not a good look. But here's the thing, Steph, I worked cases with the Secret Service as a prosecutor. I worked the case where a senator had his cell phone stolen, and we had to track him using technology. Him being the thief through the city until we found him arrested him. I tried him, convicted him, and he went to prison. And the U.S. Secret Service is the premier law enforcement agency that conducts forensic searches of computers and cell phones to retrieve deleted data. I didn't go to the FBI lab at Quantico for those kind of forensic services, even though I went to the FBI lab for lots of my forensic work. We went to the Secret Service forensic sciences division when we had cell phones and information had been deleted and we needed to have it forensically retrieved. You're telling me that agency just mistakenly got rid of all of their text messages after there was a request that they preserve and produced them. I don't buy it. The FBI should open a criminal probe. And if the U.S. Secret Service did nothing wrong, they should welcome that criminal probe.

"Is a former aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows is sharing some of the conversations she had with a guy I know well, former congressman and former director of national intelligence, John ratcliffe, of Texas, and that it was mister ratcliffe's studied view. As it was many, by the way, that the degree to which the president was banging this drum was just not going to be helpful to his legacy, that it wasn't going to prevail. And if people were of that mind, I mean, okay, isn't it? I mean, from Laura Ingraham, deshaun Hannity, to the Fox host, weren't they all like texting people saying, this is not good. He's not helping himself on like January 6th itself. Which I believe is true. That was not a good day for anybody. However, what this committee and what the culture, I think, seeks to shoehorn into your brain, is that if you have any skepticism about the 2020 result, that's the big lie. That if you

"Five four six two six we're talking with guy Snodgress he is a former director of communications and chief speechwriter to secretary of defense at the time James Mattis the former naval aviator currently the founder and CEO of defense analytics and the author of a new book holding the line published by several books and subtitle inside Krups Pentagon with secretary Mattis and Mister Snodgrass the thank you for joining us tonight and the thank you for your service you bet thank you have me on absolutely will just start with with an overview before we get in some of the details in the your book I would dare say you had some interested that many Americans today in the first day of the impeachment hearings your take on what you heard you know I think I I was pleasantly surprised by the way it was conducted by both the you know majority with Adam Schiff and then of course with them and you Nunez representing the minority the Republicans but I thought it was handled overall very professional and so I I appreciate the fact there's a lot of information that was presented them as they said to be more common in the in the next few days I can guarantee yes there will be a lot more to come this will be like taking a sip of water from a fire hose I'm sure before rolled on you'll need a you'll need a a a diagram to keep track of all the of the personalities and the the names as such you were a fighter pilot how did you wind up being chief speech writer in communications director for secretary of defense James Mattis you know like you said that sometimes there are things in life are just come down the street and having I've been a twenty year fighter pilot had been a top instructor had a blast the route and back in the run the two thousand thirteen fourteen time frame of when a navy works is you you spend time great what we call at we have T. two words that's when a guy like me and others I work alongside would be out on the aircraft carrier flying missions in the in the Pacific or into the Middle East and then we every few years you also get a little of down time if you will that's called a short tour and that's where you go to the Pentagon are you go someplace else to do basically quiet desk for your kid and the first time I got to the Pentagon I've been asked to be a speech writer for the the head of the U. S. navy and I think because I had that experience whenever I left my job from Japan is the commanding officer of a fighter squadron security matters that's due to come join him and his staff at the Pentagon what kind of a guy is we've we've we've all heard the term Mad Dog Madison to we we've heard some of the quotes of from him which are to say the least colorful and and pungent and I'm just curious you your take because of course all we know about it our our sound bites and and and video clips you know I think that was one of things I really enjoy the most about the book project and and put in this book out there is it it's a two year look not only the relationship between secretary Mattis president trump the accomplishments that have happened during that two year period for the US military and some of the things I think we can get better but it's also really deep dive into secretary Mattis his background how you came up in the marine corps where he grew up in Washington state and some of the you know his worldview and so to get to your specific question he is just a very focused guy he to laser focused on the task at hand he works tirelessly which I think Americans can appreciate when he was in office just the fact that this is not a guy who slacked off by any stretch of the imagination he would be at his desk before six AM every single day and usually around six to seven PM is when you take off to go home and so he just he cares very deeply about America and American national security anyone to do the best job because doesn't trump administration how did he react to governance by Twitter I don't think anybody responds well that you know it's one of those things where if you take people who have been used to having a strategy for decades other career where you realize that if you have something you know you want to accomplish what complicates strategy looks a lot and as we say the resources to achieve that whether people equipment money and developing cut up and and you're now you're working on a plan and it's something you coordinate everybody's on the same step in many cases this is the love of the discomfort you're offered the book which is you know we would have an agreed upon plan with the White House if we were to your three months down that road and suddenly it tweet comes out that that under cut everything and it was challenging because everyone wanted to do the best job for the administration but suddenly when the the essential to beneath your feet it was tough to keep up in particular what were the views of secretary Mattis as regards our dealing with our allies and we might as well start on one particular one one that I felt was was extremely justified you can argue about the way it was done or not but the fact is that as far as I know our allies have been pretty much parasites when it comes to funding defense that they had agreed to not not that that we had demanded of the but they have agreed to a certain level of defense spending and I think Poland in the United States were just about the only two that were meeting that level of funding and frankly the the sound and fury the came out of the White House if I'm not mistaken did increase the level of participation in terms of money that some of our alliance partners put forward so I think lighting a fire under some of them was a frankly long overdue your thoughts what well I think about the millions of Americans would agree with you when you think about that I think the alliance or specifically referring to is the north Atlantic hello this is accurate NATO that's right you got twenty nine nations the United States was one of those nations and if you if you look back just a few years ago two thousand fourteen they came up with something called the whales pleasure that's where all the nations agreed they would spend at least two percent of their GDP for military spending to hold contribute more to the alliance and and contribute more to their own defense that to your point that would threaten a mainstay of the trump administration is asking those allies to to contribute their fair share to the alliance because by far it contributes the most to its military out of the alliance membership so we have seen an increase there were five nations they were meeting that wells pledge about a year and a half two years ago and was increasing the eight and then you're seeing more formations start to to beat that challenged him and let's face it we contribute not only more Bucks but also more blood just to keep the things in contact one eight six six five oh Jimbo is our number one eight six six five oh five four six two six am guy Snodgrass a former instructor at Top Gun navy fighter pilot and then the chief speech
