Fresh update on "six million dollar" discussed on Black N' Gold Hockey Podcast

"He's a third-year thirty-year-old guy Senators last season. He had seven goals 11 assists 18 points and fifty three games. Another person to look at is probably TJ Brodie. He's a left shot right defenseman. But using that left shot you can possibly put him over the transition them to the home side little higher on the price though. He's a four point six million dollar defenseman. He's thirty years old to he's with Calgary last year. He had four goals 15 assists nineteen points and sixty four games played and then my last one that I would think about with the whole left shot thing, Dmitry kulakov. He's a little high too with the with cap hit at four point three million last season and all these numbers that I'm going out our cap hits a a Visage actual salaries. So he's twenty-nine years old with Winnipeg last year. He had two goals eight assists ten points and 51 games. So often those guys right there basically for me, I just addressing a certain need and that's toughness and being more defensive sound. You're not going to get a ton of freaking often from you might get a slapshot goal or off or anything like that, but you're not going to get an end-to-end rush like rube used to be a group can do on a regular but it's it's going to be interesting regardless. I mean, I'm just I'm I'm just throwing out some I'm not saying that these are players. I would love to have I would love to have a guy like Brenden Dillon that can be a bigger player, but be more offensive. You know, you're going to have to come in layers when you go against Tampa Bay. You need to come in layers. If you can't do it on the first line these defenseman that are coming through the neutral zone and coming into the offensive zone going to have be able to put the puck in net too. Yeah. That's why I mostly settled on Dylan as who I think would most fit into like rearranged the top four or whatever on our backend.

Whats the Easiest Way to Scale an Offer to Cold Traffic?

"Called Dream House Dream Hose powers the web with fast websites and superior customer service brought to you by team of web experts or super committed to your success online. We've worked with them to a special offer just remarking school listeners all you have to do is go to dream host dot com slash marking school to learn more and get your website online today. Welcome to another episode of Marketing School, on I'm Eric Su and I'm Neil. Patel and today we're GonNa talk about what's the easiest way to scale an offer to cold traffic? It's all. START I. Russia goes because you've been doing cold traffic really heavily right now with your agency as agency accelerator. Yeah. It's yeah. We'll just call it that. So cool. Once you break down. That, you found to scare offer to cold traffic I think by the way, this offer is more so of a Info, product or coaching program type of thing. So just keep in mind that's what I'm talking about. When I say offer in the scenario, what I've learned is that look there's a lot of people that share numbers we've had SAM. Evans speaking our mastermind does over thirty six, million dollars a year or so there's a lot of great people out there but the problem. With that is these people have established program. So I think the first thing you need to think about when you are trying to scale cold offer is you start baby steps first, right? There's a camp in affiliate were that's as much. Advertising can get as much learnings. I think you're starting out you don't want to lose your shirt what you're trying to do I is you WanNa make sure that your offer make sense okay. So I'M GONNA give a couple of things here so Your offer makes sense. Don't think about putting together the entire program initially think about what the bare minimum you can do. Maybe what you can do is you can push people from facebook or Youtube or whatever what I recommend is focusing on one channel I o let's just say facebook and and push them to a squeeze page or landing page right? You can use a software like unbalanced and you make page drive them they're collect the email. Address have a good bride there. So for example, I might say, Hey, you know for us, we're teaching you how to build a client acquisition system. Right? There's a couple of secrets we have for you. Okay. Just enter your email once they enter their email address then they'll get a video to get a value video for me an inside the valley video right after it says, you can book a phone call that's all you need to do. Right Now what you're trying to do here, this is a higher offer keep in mind this we're talking a couple thousand dollars plus and we're trying to get them to a phone call, right keep it very simple. Keep the funnel don't make it complex right and so what you WanNa do from that point is you just take a couple of phone calls you ask people hey, what are the problems that you're facing right now? What are you looking? For and that will help you continue to refine your off people in the very beginning they think they need to have everything set where you're looking to do. You're looking to continue to innovate and learn on your offer, and then once you know what people's objections are as you're talking to them on the phone, you can refine your messaging on the advertising side right so everything cut a place to each other. So what you WanNa do then is. Once. You know the objections your copy is going to speak to people. So I like thinking about one guy in our our mastermind his name is Kong and here is a company called jump cut and he does really good with advertising. So he says look if you're doing video ads of any type or if you're ready any, add it all you have to hook them in the very beginning so. Look people reading the time. There's if you're running offer especially for a coaching program, you're competing with really good people right you wanNA, Hook people. I. Look at what other people are doing look at what other types of ads hook you and save a bunch of those ads and you're just keeping trying to drive home here. Right now, announcing a lot of different things is you are trying to learn as much as you can. Then you're trying to iterating because a lot of people they'll just copy like for example, you will look at Sam copy funnel, but they don't know that he spent thousands and thousands of dollars, hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars iterating on his funnel iterating on his. Offer iterating on copy and continually creating new copy new front and offers to his landing page continue rate that way right. So what I'm saying is constantly a work in progress and if you WANNA, make it work, drive them to a simple funnel I, get him on phone calls ask questions to them. This applies for SAS as while you want to. Ask you know be to be asked a lot of questions that will guide higher advertising should look and then guess what it's easy because you're reading people's mind at that point. So know I gave a lot of stuff neil, the clarifying questions on that no I'm going to give you guys a simplest way to skill offer to cold traffic. Don't warm up. The cold traffic verse my methodology is you go educational based content. You send cold traffic to the educational base

Fyre Festival merchandise up for auction

"Merchandise from the infamous fire festival is being auctioned off the US marshals, listing hats, shirts, jackets, and other items in hopes of refunding some of the victims after festival organizers, Billy McFarland's twenty, six, million dollar fraud scheme. The one hundred, twenty, six items are up for auction. Now through thirteenth the Fire Festival was advertised and we've talked about it. Quite a bit on the show there are at least two documentaries. Is that right about this fire festival? was billed as a luxurious getaway in the Caribbean and was supposed to have performances by blink one, eighty two and a bunch of other big artists. But upon arrival people found out that it was like. I don't know it was like A. Work camp or something they were getting peanut butter sandwiches and. Yeah so not all it was cracked up to be McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison.

"All right. Everybody good news for Democracy Wisconsin. A court of Appeals. There has rejected a voter. Purge of two hundred nine thousand people eat a three judge panel unanimously rejected a lawsuit filed by a bunch of conservative assholes who argued the purge should go forward ahead of the two thousand twenty election for not confirming their addresses. Voters needed to confirm their addresses with the State Election Commission. Not surprisingly more than half of the voters lived in districts. The Clinton won in two thousand. Sixteen and a plurality of them are voters of color. Trump won the state with fewer than twenty three thousand votes. And this is two hundred and nine thousand voters the case will likely be appealed to the State Supreme Court but hopefully not in time to impact twenty twenty. There is however an April seventh election to replace a judge with a trump friendly judged that could cast the tiebreaking vote so everybody in Wisconsin vote in that April seventh election for the judge. That you know. That's the the house and from the Associated Press the Service Employees International Union known as the STI. You is unveiling a plan to invest one hundred fifty million dollars in a nationwide campaign to defeat trump with their efforts focused on eight battleground states. This is the largest voter engagement and turnout operation in the history of the Union which has about two million members. The effort will run through November and reflects the urgency of a make or break moment for the Working People in America under trump the states of focus or Colorado Florida Michigan Minnesota Nevada Pennsylvania Virginia and Wisconsin with a super focus on Detroit and Milwaukee. The outreach will be a few ads but mostly direct contact online. Advertising targeting minority men and women who typically don't vote the. Sei You is the most union in the United States and they represent healthcare food service workers janitorial service people and state and local government workers half of its members or people of color and more than half fewer than fifteen dollars an hour people that make the country run. Yep Yep the backbone of the country And according to The Washington Post for the first time there are fewer registered Republicans than independence in the United States Independence Account. Now for twenty nine point nine. Percent Republicans Twenty eight point nine percent there are still way more registered. Democrats at thirty nine point sixty six percent. It's important to note that not all the new independence of Republicans many Democrats that left after Obama and the two thousand sixteen election within just disillusionment from the DNC and also from Washington. Post a federal judge in Idaho has voided nearly one million acres of oil and gas leases in federal lands in the western United States saying that the trump policy that limited public input was arbitrary and capricious this is a huge win for environmentalist. Who fought the leasing policy as part of a much broader effort to block the they basically? This was problems for The habitats for the greater sage grouse so the contested area is sixty seven million acres across eleven states drew. Caputo the attorney for the group earthjustice said in an e mail that the administration officials almost treat the public like an inconvenience that might slow down or get in the way of them passing out special interest favors to their friends in the industry that is antidemocratic and it shows what they really think about the public. It's also illegal. Which is one of the reasons they keep losing in court Trump's bureau of land management issued a memo in January of two thousand eighteen speeding-up leasing streamlining environmental reviews and reducing the amount of time that the public comment publicly in protest arrangements to drill and nearly a year ago trump lifted Obama era protections. I saw a map that marks you know all the territories in who has claimed to everything and it's quite a mess and there's a lot of contested areas still too so there's the issue with that. Is there the potential issue that people bring up is when the troops leave their fears increasing that they'll take the absence of US troops as an opportunity to grow those sort of British like the vacuum that created Isis right? So that's definitely what a lot of Republicans are saying in response to this. They're not super happy about it. John Bolton naturally he's coming back good old Bolton. I don't want to hear from you yeah John he said. The deal brings an unacceptable risk to America's civilian population legitimising. Taliban sends the wrong signal. Isis and al Qaeda terrorists and to America's enemies generally Bolton wrote in a tweet and add that our director of national intelligence is Chad right soon to be Radcliffe. Right right and right. Now it's it's Grenell they're both morons definitely And I think one of the Problem Democrats are having with the steel as a Taliban is not denouncing al-Qaeda. Yeah and there there. Doesn't there's a bunch of concerns with this right it's link there's a lot of nuance to it but Other is that they have folks are saying that they have a history of essentially over promising and under delivering. Or you know saying that. They'll do something getting the benefits of that deal and then not delivering on what they said they were going to. So this is interesting because it's one of those moments where typically I think it's more liberal ideology to get out of wars. Get Out of wars. We've been in for a long time. But then on both sides there are people who think it's really concerning how it's happening and they're not confident that it's actually going to work. I personally don't know enough about the intricacies of being over in Afghanistan. And you know what we've done exactly to say. I think how I feel about this. I'm torn I guess. On one hand I agree that I think we need to get out of endless wars general. I also acknowledged that when you engage in endless wars you set up situations that then become very dangerous to exits. So I don't know yeah I don't know if it's a victory for trump either necessarily because is getting so much pushback and I wonder if you're getting variables right. Yeah and if you're getting so much pushback than what you really gain from this. Which is I think what we all should be looking at mostly. Yeah and and Ted Lieu even like this deal stupid because they don't denounce al Qaeda and Cetera however I a he said I commend Donald Trump for wanting to end this war. Yeah so and of course pences like well. We put together deal. We'll monitor it closely and we'll see what happens. Yeah exactly so. There's that parliament. Sorry go ahead. No no go ahead. I think part of it too could be a PR thing to show that. He's the candidate. In comparison someone like a Biden. Who voted for the Iraq War Just for putting it out there. Yeah I almost forgot about Ukraine gate there for a second back in like looking strong like all right looking back in investigating Biden three. I mean just putting that out there So yeah possibility. Yeah but we'll definitely be monitoring that to see if the terms of the deal are maintained and fulfilled and we'll see so Finally a federal appeals court ruled against trump into really big immigration cases. A federal appeals court on Friday ruled against program that forces migrants that are seeking asylum to wait in Mexico and they also voted against a rule that it severely limited number of migrants who are eligible for him. So that's good news however Then the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals paused its ruling after. Doj Lawyers said that it would imperil communities at the border As twenty twenty-five thousand asylum seekers were who were encouraged to stay in Mexico that would effectively be allowed to cross the border. So they're saying this is going to be dangerous for the communities and that's why it shouldn't happen been in that was granted until The IT works its way through the courts so kind of a win but then kind of step back there. Sixty thousand migrants have been placed under remain in Mexico by the way Since it began more than a year ago at Tijuana border in Tijuana and San Diego and to me. It's just with that policy specifically. It's it's it's confusing to me that that's allowed to exist because I think about when I think about migration. Let's say you're like going to an island like if if if our nation if we're sovereign nation state you can essentially imagine S.'s. Like an island. If someone comes to that island to to move there what are you gonNa make them like? Wait IN THE OCEAN. No like there at the place you know. They had the place. They're trying to go. That is where they stay while they're going through that process in a lot of these migrants. They're they're not just for Mexico right. They're coming up from like various countries. Three Mexican exactly exactly. That's a joke from yes. It is sorry. That's why we laughed at that was was something trump's at one time. Yes we continue alias. Shamelessly MALCOLM FOR IT. Yes we do yeah logically. I guess the idea of making folks remain in a country. A lot of are not from and all of them are not trying to be in any more just doesn't make sense empirically got it. Thank you for that reporting Jordan. Yes thank you and There was a decision handed down. I'll cover this briefly because we went over it in depth in the muller she wrote episode and I would I would steer you that episode from for more information on this but If you'll remember last summer the House Judiciary Subpoenaed Don mcgann White House counsel to President Trump. Who was there? When trump tried to fire Mueller So that they could interview him in the impeachment inquiry But this is under The obstruction of justice charges. They were looking into from the Mueller investigation. This is before the Ukraine impeachment stuff even started so they they Subpoenaed him and of course. The trump Camp was like take it to court. You know take it to court. We're not. We have blanket immunity and and so they did right. They took the they said all right. We'll go to court. It is now. What are your thoughts nine? Eight months later and the appeals court has made a decision to one to dismiss the case saying that the the the courts have no jurisdiction to decide these interbranch information disputes. Which is contrary to everything that we've ever heard in our lives although interestingly and we talked to Gwen Kirschner about this in the more she wrote up assode Two of the judges two of the three judges said that there's no such thing as blanket immunity. So at least there's that they you know. So if they had to hear it on the merits they would have been like. Yeah of course you have to follow the subpoena. There's no such thing as blanket immunity. But they won't even hear it. They say it's not even under addiction So likely what will happen now is that they will file To the House judiciary will file to have the case heard en banc which means in front of all eleven judges at the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. That will likely go the way of the house. There are only four. I think Republican Appointed judges on that court And then of course it will be appealed to the Supreme Court So that is what's going on in mcgann case. Did you have another bit that you wanted to go? Thank you for that update Yup and again we. We go way in depth on that with all the INS and outs what what Congress should do in could do next and might do and So it's an interesting story but I was actually like gobsmacked by the ruling. I thought it was ridiculous. Personally The judges by the way One was a Bush one was a GW Bush and one was a Clinton appointee at as Glenn Kirschner points out in the interview and the other show. We never used to talk about. Who appointed judges until trump showed up So that's the only reason I'm pointing it out in in this in this particular case because so many decisions mind-numbingly awful one hundred percent our country discs and corona virus update Trump said in his rally this weekend that Corona Virus Democratic hoax trump junior Said that the Democrats want millions to die from corona virus And then trump had a press conference. This is not the one where he named pence the czar but this is the one where he said everyone become. Don't panic he. He did acknowledge the first. Us death in Washington state. Got The gender wrong of the person who died On CNN this morning pence refused to denounce trump. Junior's assertion that Democrats want the corona virus to kill millions and he even called what trump junior said understandable from denver. Gano New York is now making. Its own corona virus tests after the CD's tests have repeatedly failed. The article opens saying Hong Kong is testing over a thousand people a day while the US at the time of this article on Friday has tested a total of four hundred forty five people partially because the CDC's tests don't work so this is from buzzfeed. Federal health officials met with state and city and public health labs on Wednesday to fix a crippling lack of lack of options to diagnose the no the novel Corona virus a shortfall driven by botch CDC testing kits as a result New York state in New York City or moving forward with developing their own tests to detect the virus. Can we not coordinate with China? The I don't know who knows The the were the World Health Organization would probably do that The lack of adequate testing capabilities says buzzfeed was spotlighted on Wednesday evening when the CDC announced delayed results from the first potential case of person contracting covert nineteen from community spread. That was our case here in California. I mean they got sick without travelling to China being exposed to someone known to have the infection according to propublica the CD sent tests to over one hundred cities each with enough to run a few hundred tests but most proved unreliable and left only about a dozen labs with verifiable results. Apparently unreliable tests played a role in the diagnosis of the first woman. To contract the virus without having any contact with known carriers again. That was the one in California. Uc Davis said. Her results were delayed. Because neither the county or state lab could run them and her symptoms did not meet the federal diagnostic criteria. So the test took four days to approve. Think about that for a second state and county labs couldn't test and this is the thing that scares me. Her symptoms didn't meet the federal diagnostic criteria. But she had it that means. The federal diagnostic criteria have been wrong and the early stages of the outbreak And Chris Brayden from the. Cdc spoke Thursday at Solano County. News conference saying the diagnostic criteria federal diagnostic criteria had changed between February nineteenth and the twenty third. That's awfully late in the game. He said what can I say There were multiple people involved in this decision over those four days it wasn't necessarily CDC. Yeah I wonder how expensive tests are so. I'm sorry to interrupt you but I want to start because when he said it wasn't a CD and there were multiple people involved that were putting out the diagnostic criteria the federal diagnostic criteria. That says to me. The trump administration was trying to game the diagnostic criteria to fraudulently suppressed. The number of cases. Those are beans but I mean come on and then what do you know right after the press conference trump decided that members of the CDC were no longer allowed to make public statements and all communications must go through pence's offices so that timing is very suspect Jesus come out and say well the symptoms. She had weren't rising to the level. That trump has decided meets the corona virus level or trump's administration has decided. So that's why we got. We got our first diagnosed case here in California from community. Spread late Something that's really worrying to me about living. In a country that doesn't have universal. Healthcare is the lack of preventative measures. Taken by the government because that would cut the money right. Yeah that's that's where my room is going when I was asking how much in tests are. Yeah Yeah I mean. Other countries are just like handing them out in the street to people. And it's also like can you not Accept Korea? There's literally hanging out on street corners citizens the testing. Can I have no idea how much that stuff costs? Or how much did like burden?.

"Yeah yeah but I so crazy but she could really she could really take delegates. Yeah and she's pulling in second or third in a number of states so it's but so you never know what's going to happen. They're totally. Yeah so if you if you treat it like a ranked choice situation. If she comes in second in a ton of states she could end up with as many or close to as many delegates as the winner just depends on it depends delegate count in the state of the state and it also depends on how the state hands out its delegates. Sex is all or nothing you get all to twenty-three or you get none While I believe I'm correct on the check fivethirtyeight though basically saying that from their perspective they're not sure whether or not it'll be Bernie or Biden who ended up Super Tuesday has the most delegates they see Bernie with a slight edge from some polling but ultimately it's anyone's game as delegates after by win Wednesday rolls around so well we will go fucking week. You guys will soon find out all right and Before we head to the break here Actually just go ahead and take our break right now. No because after that we have not. Let's take a break right now. We're GONNA come back with a peace deal with the Taliban trump losing two major immigration cases and a a brief Summary of what happened with the mcgann ruling Which you can get more details. In last night's muller she wrote episode. We talked to Glenn Kirschner thirty year veteran of the DC attorneys US Attorney's office He has a lot to say about that. So check out the molar. She read episode. That came out last night for a heavier story on them again decision. We'll be right back through these MRI. Jeez WILL BE BIG EVERYBODY..

"There are people who have a valid opinions about that and then there are people who have vowed opinions to say that that is not the case But if if I had to guess which Camp Bloomberg was in I would say it would be that camp near and I'm not saying it's right or wrong and I'm not trying to generalize saying that people who are as old as Bloomberg Bloomberg would think that way. I'm just betting that if if the if he had a feeling about it and he said you know he's he's called burning a communist on stage which Republican talking point. Yeah he has hats socialist literally republic until two thousand thirteen. Yeah Yeah Hey. Dan But neither direction. I feel the party wants to go and the party probably agrees and that might actually make the party. Vote who he wants to really win Which is again all speculation So we are on the precipice of Super Tuesday. Where over a third of all delegates will be awarded Biden is hoping his win in South Carolina were will propel him into better outcomes on Super Tuesday than he's been polling. I think it will And social media is awash with calls for Biden to announce a VP. Mostly calling for it to become a la- Harris or stacey. Abrams ahead of Super Tuesday. To bolster his chances. Wow No presidential challenger has ever announced their VP choice ahead of the convention and gone on to win and did a little research on this for you. So you don't have to in nineteen fifty two Republican candidate taft announced his VP head of the convention and he lost to Eisenhower. Reagan tried it in nineteen seventy six and lost Jimmy Carter Jerry. Brown tried it With To Pick Jesse Jackson as his VP in Nineteen ninety-two and lost the nomination. To Bill Clinton and of course Ted Cruz picked Carly Fiorina in two thousand sixteen and we know what happened to him so I I don't know the history of picking and early. Bp is not good. But I don't know what do you think if he picked a if he picked a strong. Vp candidate could energize the younger people that whose vote. He's not getting right now Well I've heard the Kamla hypothesis more so than any other. I think yeah in so I fucking love Carmela same and I think that would be a really strong ticket for voters at the same time. Though the beef between Kamla invite in that happened leading up to the point that she dropped out is kind of. Like if you look back on that Shit. It's almost a little girl. Yes exactly it would almost seem. I don't WANNA say disingenuous. On her part the situation itself would seem a bit disingenuous and less and less. Your idea is a unity ticket Right which is to be like. We can overcome our differences to defeat trump. Yes so can you. Yes and that would be a pretty powerful message considering the beef that they had in the in the earlier totally I agree. Yeah so I mean it could be could go either. Could go either way Some people are suggesting a Biden Warren ticket which I don't know I would think it would probably be a sanders Warren ticket. I've taken specific note that I don't think Warren went after Sanders when she should have and I think she didn't because she she could be. Vp is now. She's doing that now. I mean I could imagine I could see her. If she's peeling votes off anyone that would be. It would be Bernie into competition. You know she should. She should be drawing distinctions between them. I Like Elizabeth Warren. Very very much as I've said on twitter and as I've said on the show multiple times she's my very close second and she would be an amazing president and I think she's fucking rod yeah and And actually something I wanted to point out. Was She actually. In terms of certain specific policies. I like hers better than Sanders on certain things but particularly what comes to Lgbtq issues but then you think sanders could pick as a running mate. Yeah I don't think I thought Liz for a moment. But because she's starting to draw those harsher distinctions between them. I don't think so anymore. I'm not sure because some people are saying Tulsi and if that happens I'll be mad. I wouldn't people are just. I think people are just saying Matt. I don't think that I've never heard a single person. Say That positively or her Tony. React to it positively which makes me feel it's just created to chaos. It was positively and widely floated in two thousand sixteen. I hope it and he said he was considering it no. I don't think he said he was considering. But a lot of people really really wanted not only endorse him but to be his. Vp Do you think other than Warren? Yeah I think warrant is the only pick you think so. Honestly you could also do Stacey. Abrams but I don't know that she would run with him. I haven't heard her say she would or wouldn't and I also think in fairness to Liz. If you just got twenty nine million dollars in the month February you would stay in the race you know whether or not you saw path forward behind you end up in February so I I can see him picking someone like a younger Congress. Men are going to go into that. Like million like young senators. Afc Any of the squad and too young to be BP. I think she might have. That would be a huge upset. And or just someone along those lines thinking freshman Congressperson Huh. There's I don't really progressive. There's a ton of them. Yeah and I don't know if they're thinking about this at all but picking a more. Moderate candidate for P. P. Considering Phoebe doesn't really do so much about Roku exactly Yeah I wonder if he would do that because his base would also give him lot of. Shit though for picking someone. Well that may not be for Medicare for all or something and Ro Khanna because roquetas has appeared a lot on Bernie's behalf one of his top endorsers and That might be a real thing. I think he's old enough. I've seen Tammy Baldwin floated okay Because she's from Wisconsin so it hasn't mid West vote That makes sense. Yeah so yeah. I'm curious I I. I'm very excited for Super Tuesday. I WanNa see what shakes out. I WANNA see everybody is standing. Could warned pick as a VP. Because of him I don't know I feel like it would be amazing. Amazing to have Sandra's weren't ticket quite frankly fifty seven both saying mom and dad. I've always like early on my dream. Ticket was Warren Harris. I I wonder I don't think I in this is not like I don't WanNa see two women. I just feel like there's too much sexism this country for two women ticket to win. I just do and that's I don't mean to be a Naysayer. I JUST. I feel like that's the case. Yeah I think that's Unfortunately I mean we. We have to consider that especially as women you know. Just think I mean. Trump met yet not under one not in terms of who you support. I just mean X. Essentially just looking at the realities of how voters in America feel about women as was demonstrated in twenty sixteen. Yeah so you're not saying it's because two women can't do it. It's because you're afraid that there's so much misogyny and other people will say the exit two women can you please? I'm just clarifying for the masses about to email. The that's what I'm saying I'm saying of course. Would I vote for two women? Fuck yes I would absolutely I would. I would love to see that but my point is I think. There's so much misogyny and sexism that they wouldn't win I think Warren has would be more likely to pick someone that's more moderate as a VP. Sanders Emir Buddha judge. Yeah that'd be interesting. Warren Buddhist judge took. It would be great. Yeah very interesting but most likely to be sanders or Biden. I think I think yeah I think right now But here in all the other thing too though I I saw Sarah Kinsey or tweet out like if everyone who wanted to vote for. Warm voted for warrants. She she could do. She could take it you know but I think a lot of people are trying to strategize. Now there's tweets out there. People held back their mail in ballots in California to see how South Carolina went to see. If they were going to vote for Joe or Elizabeth you know or for the right they WANNA THEY WANNA throw their hope their vote behind the person who they think is GonNa win and not who particularly love and Sarah were saying. Look vote for who you love. This is the primary Vote for who you love. Vote for who support. You won't feel sorry about it. You feel better about it. I love that advice and and then everybody just backed the whoever wins like you know and I I really appreciate that because I think a lot of people are now second guessing. Maybe There Buddha Judge Closure Warren vote to vote for Biden because he's more viable. But if that's not your number one don't do it although Biden did He has come around. He's not just about shoring up the ACA anymore is now talking about a medicare option for all so we have to thank progressive candidates like Warren and bringing for pushing somebody like Joe Biden to before For a Medicare for all option. Yeah can I ask one more question before we move on What do you all think about the differences between dropping out before Super Tuesday or dropping out after if you were a candidate in this race as it stands now one of the you know not pulling high. Candidates are not doing as well. I should say what would you do? Like what do you think is the on one hand? I think you would want to wait until the other primaries. So you can see really you know. Get a better look of what the entire country feels on the other hand talking about viability of candidacies. And who they're GonNa who the votes legitimately are GonNa going to. Those people dropped out his estate in doing it from a more like strategy standpoint What do you think how no it's it's hard to say? I can see why style dropped out. Even though he invested so much in Super Tuesday but I can also see why others won't WanNa drop out having invested in Super Tuesday. There are again also. There are backroom deals and strategies like Biden getting closer to stay in to keep Minnesota from going to Bernie. None at you know all these like. It's not just about who wants who vote for your person. We don't have one national primary. You know everything has to do with what states have gone before and what states are coming up one their make up is how many are young voters are there? How many black voters are there? How many who should I watched it? I do and how should I play it? It's not just like it's not just like playing blackjack you're playing bridge You know there's just so much strategy in it in behind it that I think I would have to look at sixty different factors to decide if I was going to drop out and now Personally I if I were Tulsi I would drop out. She has no path to the nominee. I wasn't even thinking in my brain candy. Though about people to digitally Klobuchar I was just GONNA say judge closure. I don't see they have a path in upcoming states and I don't think they're going to take much on on Super Tuesday but they might be in the race to spoil it for somebody else I don't know and I don't have those like moneyball mathematicians around me right now telling me why who is staying in the race to do what and how it could benefit any other factors or number of candidates or why it's good for Biden or why it's good for Bernier why it's good for Warren and so it's just so hard for me to know without without getting all of the data. Yeah it's funny I I feel like Mrs. Just me speaking candidly. I'm not saying I don't like these candidates I feel like people to Jamie Club. Darsur drought. I see viable Pats Mission for them however Warren is coming in second or third in a number of very delegate rich states so she -fornia showed up to second place in the polls and like you said twenty nine million dollars in February. Had she had less than a million dollars in the bank going into. February twenty nine million two. I think she she has I if I were her. I'd stay in for Super Tuesday. If I were booted judge enclosure I'd dropout and throw my money behind somebody else. Endorse another candidate But I also don't want to downplay what what those two candidates could pull off one super Tuesday. I feel like it's just super Tuesday is just so huge that I feel that you just have to wait and see how you do. Yeah just Jefferson. Just it's a one o'clock on. Sundays is the current polling just so our listeners. Know in case you haven't been taking any super Tuesday pulling the two biggest most states California Texas Bernie is at thirty four percent in California. Warren is at seventeen percent. Everyone else is under fifteen percent. And if you don't crack fifteen percent California you don't get any delegates and then Then in Texas. It's a Bernie at twenty nine Biden at twenty and Bloomberg and third God Damn so interesting. How differ every state is?.

"Get too hot notes notes so it appears that operation chaos or whatever which is the push to get Republicans out to vote for Bernie Sanders didn't have the impact. The trump campaign thought it might which I think is important to note going forward in the upcoming races in States. That have open. Primaries Biden took South Carolina handling this weekend with forty eight point four percent of the vote sanders in a distant second with nineteen point. Nine Steinmeyer came in third with eleven point. Three Buddha judge with eight point two. Warren was seven point one enclosure with three point one and then Gabbard with one point three All delegates were awarded to Biden Sanders. Who GOT THIRTY? Three and eleven respectively which closed the gap in the total delegate. Count Putting Bernie ahead. He is in first place with fifty seven delegates. Joe Biden is in second place with fifty three and Buddha judge in third with fewer than half of the delegates. That Biden has at twenty six and everyone else is in single digits. It's crazy. How just in one state it jumped to a place where I think most people were predicting it would kind of be the whole time. You know. Just looking back at two thousand sixteen. South Carolina is a big state. Yes and forty percent of voters Democratic voters in South Carolina are white and Biden. Got Thirty three percent of those than Sanders got twenty three percent style with ten point. Five six and let's see here. Fifty six percent of the electorate is black and binder and sixty one percent of those votes with money getting seventeen so important here to note that older voters make up the largest part of the electorate. So here's how the age brackets breakdown voter. Seventeen to twenty nine went for Sanders. Forty-three to Biden's twenty-six voters aged thirty to forty four one to Biden thirty three to twenty nine for Sanders and voters forty five to sixty four which makes up forty two percent of the voters in South Carolina. Went for Biden. Fifty one percent to Bernie sixteen and finally those over sixty five which is twenty nine percent of the voters went to Biden sixty one percent to Bernie's eleven that means seventy one percent of voters are over forty five so it stands to reason by did so well in South Carolina totally also he. Did you watch his victory? Speech did it was the best I've seen in this whole race. Yeah and I think void. He was articulate. Way What we're did you bleed bleed of that. Yeah that's great. Were incredible speech to he did. Yeah Yeah Yeah he did and people I think both of them had great showings at night. I think Sanders. Obviously he didn't do as well as I'm sure he would have liked to. But he like the gap closed. You know as the numbers came in a little bit but I think both of them handle themselves incredibly well and Biden did have like a decent man of Jabs. Kind of at Bernie in the whole revolution talk but That's fine this competition. That's totally fine. But it was Subaru uplifting watching his speech because I had a moment where I was like you know you all know who what candidate I want. But if we end up with Biden in the White House with the amount of coalitions of support that he has across the country. You can't deny those people you know that are that are doing amazing things. The fact that everybody was so energized in that room and Biden was pod cat in the middle of Jordan's emotional ramble. Cat was like yes. I agree by regret. I mean I just I just like moderate is Bruce Willis one of my biggest fears. Sorry I keep trying to shifted away from the podcast just because they WANNA get stoned head forgets it but but part of my fear. Sometimes when I think about buying him being the nominee is I think he's not going to mobilize as many people to get out the vote and then down by the D. as much as someone like burning might that has a really strong grassroots thing but when I watched that my brain was like okay I see a lot of passion here you know and so that was good to see. Yeah Yeah and there's arguments opposing that to never know until it happened. Always you know that's true because I think one of the major points that people who don't want Bernie to be the nominee make our that he can't win the down ballot Yes I have heard that too. And so it's just it's an interesting you know sort of back and forth once again one of those things. We're just not going to know until it happens because polling South Carolina had Biden at twenty-seven burning twenty three so the the hell the large disparity there. I I guess what it came from. Was they just to suck at polling in South Carolina Clyburn. Endorsement made made of come may have made of him. After I made of Kim. We're all that's the US every time. Associate Birth. Joe Neil degrasse. Tyson says your star stuff and actually come. I might have. I forgot what the Fuck I was. GonNa say Obvious Library. Oh Yeah Yeah. I don't remember if his endorsement came before or after that pool after I think came after I think it. I think it did come. After and that was the endorsement and very mobilizing I imagine it was and I saw a pole somewhere on CNN. Or something I think where people I think something like. Twenty three percent of voters in South Carolina said the clyburn endorsement was very important to them. There you go. Yeah so it was a pretty big one. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah I actually expected. Bernice do a little better in the state But I did too. I think that they may be pulled younger. People who didn't show up and I this is the thing that makes me so angry. Show up well under might not just be that right because maybe younger people are easier to reach in in the polling stuff so they had a larger yeah sampling of younger sampling of young. I'd I'd be interested to see those pills. Yeah I was expecting him to get pummeled. I don't know just the history of civil rights in South Carolina and as it relates to Biden in the work that he's done legislatively compared to burn even though Bernie is one hundred percent of grassroots activist was was there during the civil rights movement on the ground. Doing a lot of things you know but I think Gay just didn't have eight years in the public spotlight right okay. All right and Biden being a right hand man to Obama who's obviously incredible. Yep and all. Those tire came in third meaning. Buddha Judge Warren and Tulsi. He dropped out now. Well realistically seasonal path to the nomination I guess. So but why spend all the money and then be like? I just wanted to see if I could do it. And then we kind of them for it. I love your work. Yeah yeah sure I feel like he did it to put Climate Change Front Center at all the debates. Yes Fair enough but I saw tweet which which was fascinating to me. It was like I wish that he had put all that money into Senate races and more well he can now. He can now or like by some newspapers in red states and higher teams of journalists to only write about fossil fuel. Well no he's not nearly as rich as Bloomberg knows what Bloomberg should be doing. Yeah I know we talked about this before but stars done a lot for environmental justice which always disproportionately affects people of color and so he always on specifically talks about that does and I think he has a very As a white person listening to another white person talk about issues of racial injustice. I feel like he's very effective and he seems to have the support a lot. More of black voters in South Carolina. Even though he's pretty much new on the scene right. Yeah assuming you bring up the fact that you're white and he's white to say that you don't have the lived experiences of people who are disproportionately impacted by environmental policies. Yes yes He did also spend. Was it. Twenty two million dollars. He spent a lot of money. Compared I think Biden was the next Second most spent in that state so I think he was betting on in South Carolina to yet but then yeah but then he dropped and then trump said oh bloomberg sucks or whatever. He wasn't even on the ballot now. Tolsey hasn't dropped out. I think she should and then I started wondering what about. There's gotta be meetings taking place. At least that night there has to be phone calls between the Biden Camp and Warren Buddha judge and closure to talk about when they're going to drop out and I think it was Jeff Zeleny who this was reported. But no one talked about it He said that he had talked. To somebody inside Bein. Camp who said they are? They don't want Warren or Klobuchar to drop out before Super Tuesday. They're urging worn cliche to stay in the race through supervisors through Super Tuesday. Because they're worried. That Bernie could run away with Massachusetts in Minnesota but if Warren Klobuchar are in the race Massachusetts worn home. Warren's home state Minnesota's clover sharks home state then they could probably Siphon votes away from Sanders in in those states now I report that is news only without nuance and comment. Because frankly I think it leaves a bad taste. That Biden would see them only as Bernie spoilers and not viable candidates in their own right especially them being women And so that that rubs me the wrong way Something else we learn as we go into Super Tuesday Bloomberg has said he will not drop out for Super Tuesday. I mean that makes sense because he spent all of his money but interestingly he's not made any advise after Super Tuesday Bernie has said he will not take Bloomberg money. If Bernie becomes the nominee or ever currently Bloomberg is running a six million dollar a day campaign. What would his angle? I can't figure it out at first. It seemed like you know. He said Biden doesn't seem viable or whatever but now after South Carolina and I think if you have really any commonsense Biden was gonNA start doing well at some point in time. So why why why is he what? Yeah I don't know maybe maybe attack to attack Bernie into attacked trump. I think is is got to be what it is. His strategy has to be to get biden the nomination. That's the only thing I can think of or at least not Bernie or trump. You know I can't think of any other reason that would be I mean. Isn't he going to Siphon votes away from Biden on Super Tuesday right? That's what I would think with moderates? I don't know and he's also making a lot of efforts to connect to black voters to right now. Seems like a direct marketing always knew he was going to suck it that. Yeah yeah that's true. Maybe him being like this totally like state. Hey maybe I could imagine him saying. Hey I'm the stop. And Frisk Guy. What if I enter the race? Make everybody over by you know what I mean interesting. I and I'm just. This is all speculation. Yeah right because then that becomes will then even though he has a ton of money no he must be getting some kind of kick back from that. He wouldn't just do that out of the kindness of his stone. Cold is he might just getting just getting strongly about him. Sorry not kindness. Maybe just whatever it takes to get trump office and he maybe honestly believes. That Bernie can't do it. I don't know I really don't know so interesting. Also fucking interest and how else would like an older billionaires? Think he older billionaire. And this isn't I shouldn't just generalize like this there are people who think that You know because of what Bernie has said in the past about you know Russia or Fidel Castro. Or whatever and that he's a democratic socialist and that has the word socialist it that he he would be worse to run against trump than another candidate and.

"Do you think that's a realistic thing that they would tag him third time and take that twenty five six million dollar hit that seems impossible? I don't think. So. But I think because because he never signed it never played. I don't know if that if that year coun- does that was a point of major confusion. So it does outsides it does it does not revert back to the second year since he didn't sign. Yeah. It would be the it'd be twenty nine running six million. So right. So that seems as though that that would preclude them from wanting to do something like that. Which would mean that he would then become a free agent. I think so, but the disappointing part, I think he he won't command the same type of number had it been a year earlier. So I think that's going to be the challenging part for him. But I don't think it's out of the ram possibility that he he can still be in Pittsburgh, not this is possible, but not probable while. You're more optimistic than I I I would be because I year ago, we talked and you said he was essential to what the Steelers wanna do offensively. They needed to have in. And ultimately that was proven, correct. But almost still sneak in there. But now everybody back there. I don't have to tell you is playing the blame game and pointing fingers whether it was levied vow. Whether it's Antonio Brown rothlisburger Tomlin. I know you've answered the question a bunch of times, but satiate me and do it for me right now who I mean who are you looking at. As sort of culpable in the last, you know, six months, everyone from ownership who who ultimately allow for the the culture, the head coach, the coaches and most importantly, the players because coach Tomlin kinda gave them some room to kind of self police themselves, and clearly they failed he failed in recognizing that sooner that they need it a little bit more structure, right? And from an ownership standpoint they fail because they weren't able to spot it as well. And so will you look at it? Everybody's at fault, and it's going to take everybody to to fix because it, you know. And I think you see from ownership perspective that what they're doing is kind of moves coaches out that they that that and. And they're now say, hey, we're going to add some coaches that we like from a structure standpoint that maybe coach Tomlin doesn't necessarily agree with. But that option is taken away from him. And I think he's going to tighten down. I think the players got understand they've got to tighten down. So I think everybody has come and understand that we were all complicit, and we all have to make it, right? Couple quick thoughts slash questions for you one. Where Tomlin is concerned, you know, as far as I gathered, you know, in my in my travels in talking to two guys like yourself. I feel like all of a sudden the notion that you know, will certain guys or held a different standard. Things are a little looser. That's existed and continues to exist on virtually every pro football team, including the patriots. Obviously the best point of reference is the Cowboys of the early nineties, isn't that pretty much status quo..

"It was a six million dollar movie that certainly wasn't going to work out because when we got back from the Philippines, top gun was kind of the big mechanical, Reagan error war movie. And that's not what we shot in the Philippines, and then the double down on the impossible. It turns out it was going to come out and Christmas and nothing says Christmas, like platoon. Nothing. I took my wife to see the movie and she was wearing all white. We snuck in wine and she somebody behind her hitter seat in spilled wine all over her. So when we came out of platoon, the next next group was coming in. So they see her like, oh my God, like it looked like she would. She just survived platoon and it was blood all over her sweater. And so people go hell was it? And like they're looking at her like, got, are they what? What happened in there? And it was just wine all over her. The next generation of sense around. Yeah, we don't want that. We don't want your favorite line from point break. Is. You know, nothing, you know, less than nothing. If you knew that you knew nothing. That'd be something, but you don't. Paul, your favorite Polly's. It's gotta swear word. Why don't you astonish me? Oh yeah, John could maybe get away with it. I don't think I could pretty darn good deal. This thing about point break is at Catherine directed it. So it's an of testosterone and adrenaline and Catherine directed it a little more interesting than it should have been. "Yours of sitcom reruns when we were kids and it was just suffered had been off the Air's in some cases for decades, our generation probably knows every single episode of the breed bunch. Even though that show went off the air before we were even born. Yeah. And to the same thing was true drama. I mean, you had and they, they would. They would put a lot of the action adventure. Science fiction shows on the air in the later afternoon pro after cartoons, maybe because some of the little kids would stick around four Charlie's angels, the six million dollar man wonder woman reruns of the Batman that sixty six Batman TV show the incredible hulk magnum PI you know, like a name seventies cop show. They also put on the air like I would. There would be. Columbo Kojak Brenna Quincy re like all these different shows and I don't remember watching. I remember going kind of through streaks of watching some of them and then not watching cinnamon. The sitcoms were more Maija, but did you did you remember a lot of the specific ones? Oh, I see. I had three older sisters, so little house was wasn't make thing, and we would watch that all the time. I, you know, I knew that was a network show. We never watched a single episode live. The closest we came. As I remember when the last episode which I think aired in nineteen eighty four river while I remember the advertisements for it. 'cause they blew up walnut grove, which I thought was Elec stream. But but now. Little house with was was on perpetually, leading me to know more about that show that I think most males my age would and and the weird episodes they would do I if the hulk was on, I was watching it even even going into the nineties and in the summer of ninety. One PAX channel seven started showing that in the like late morning early afternoon, and I would come home because I had summer school that summer and I would come home and watch the hulk. It was a block. I think they called it like the lunch bunch or something because they paired it with jump street. That little while, but you also had this is something that I say to certain people have no idea what I'm talking about bowling for dollars cats, which was this this like game show that was live, but to get you to watch it. They would like they had theme weeks like one week, they showed this Frankenstein mini series. That was really good. That was actually where I saw all the live action Spiderman shows for the first time. What was was one week. That's all they showed and it was the summer so I was home, but I remember watching the fall guy and we didn't get to six million dollar man too much or the biotic woman wonder, woman would pop up magnum p. I like you were saying the Brady bunch was on, but it seemed like at some point, the Brady bunch went to like TBS. It might have. I've in, we'd get TVS in the north, which was weird where we were at least we never had a TBS affiliate until much later. And then it was weird because for most of the eighties, TVS start of their shows at like ninety five, yes, that was so odd. In outside of showing the beast master constantly. But once you got an and what I liked watching was when they do reruns because my mother liked the show of things like sing elsewhere. I watched a lot of Saint elsewhere just because again, it was my mother's favourite show, and it's so funny to be that David Morse..

"The beginning of fucking six million dollar man. You know, when that little fuck. And kite that he's flying, why don't they ever show that fucking show in reruns? That's one of the greatest God damn shows average you guys ever see that you have any idea how fucking huge it was when the six million dollar man fought the seven million dollar man. Any punched his fucking face off his face came off. On television in like nineteen seventy four. You have any fucking idea. Think about that pre internet, pre cable, pre any sort of special look, how bad the graphics were in Star Wars adjustments between frames of all the tiny moving parts are miniscule, but projected at the proper speed twenty four frames per second. These individual movements will flow seamlessly together. Actually models which can be carried in the palm of your hand. This is like three or four years before that Lee majors punch this dude. Who was the fucking bad guy, everything. Man, do you remember the one, six million dollar man up in the snow. Yeah. An expert on the fringe of outside that mansion. They had everybody in slow motion that black do jumped like ten feet in the air was going to kick him. He's going. Flying through the fuck air. You going to stand how shelter I was as a kid. I didn't even know who Bruce Lee was. What come FU fighting was, and I didn't realize that TV shows were ripping off, you know, enter the dragon and all that shit that people were flipping out about because I was just a little kid. So I saw that shit I, it was the most unbelievable thing ever. He fought Bigfoot. He fought a black Bruce Lii and he fought the seven million dollar man. And he punched his fucking face off and they don't. They don't make it's impossible to compete. Now, just just done too many things. You know, it's kind of like when go write a movie script and like everything's been done and they act like all these guys back in the forties and fifties where brilliant. It's like, fuck you. There was only like five movies wherever made, how was it to be brilliant back then it's like inventing shitting, eighteen hundred. Look, it's a coat hanger. You can hang your coat on it. Holy shit. Let's put his name in the history books. Everyone can fucking remember this for the.
