"Those people who are interested in optimal health through search engine through organic search engine optimization. I just made it more challenging. Organic search engine optimization. Maybe you can start by defining what organic search engine optimization means. Absolutely. Organic search engine optimization is when people type these keywords or phrases in your case for life smiles, they type in 3000 different keywords and phrases and they find you for all those keywords and phrases out of that 529 new show up on page one, meaning in the top ten results of Google. So that's what organic search engine optimization is. The good news is it's free, meaning once you are ranking, you don't have to pay Google for every click or every time you are shown. So you are seeing a 100,000 times. So that's the power of organic search engine optimization. It's not overnight success. If you say an array and I want to do well in organic, if I tell you, oh, tomorrow, you're going to kill it. That's not going to be true. It's going to take time. Over time, we have to work on different things, like name address phone number consistency. For nap, name a respondent consistency. Quality backlinks, original content, Google lighthouse codes. Various things around 6 7 things we need to work on on an ongoing basis. And if we work on these things and make it better and better and better, the number of keywords you rank for goes up. So when it comes to what keywords do we go after? In the old days, we just typed in the usual suspects like dentist and emergency dentist and so forth. But today, let Google tell us, Google will tell us exactly what these 100,000 people are typing in, how many people are using each keyword. Just focus on all the things you need to do to dominate organic. 90% of the web pages get no traffic, only like 4% get 95% of the traffic. So if you end up being in the top 4% in Google's eyes, you're going to rank like life smiles for hundreds of keywords on page one. And I think that's one way you can definitely attract patients who are interested in health or who are interested in the specialized services you offer, whether it's implants or Invisalign or anything else that you're passionate about..

"Of that money working for you over a longer period of time. You know, there's a simple kind of litmus test to do here. We all know about IRAs. Even in Canada, you guys are familiar with IRAs. Is that correct? Yes, we have something similar. Something similar. So there was a rather prominent study done that said that if you funded your IRA from age 20 to 28. So you funded it for 8 years. And then you simply stop for whatever you stop funding it. And then you compare the dollars that you had at retirement say at age 65. To another individual that started funding it at age 40 to 65. So in following the two and let's say you're putting $2000 a year, the IRA. So from 20 to 28, you're doing that for 8 years, you put $16,000 into your IRA. And the other individual starts at age 40, and now funds it from 40 to 65. 25 years. How much did that person put in? 25 years worth of money versus the other person only 8 years. Yeah, and how much money did the guy at 25 years put in? How much are they 25 times two? 25 times to 50 grand. So the 16,000 that was put in the IRA starting at age 20, running to 65. Versus the 50,000 put in from age 40 to 65, which pot was worth more at the end. I think I know the answer. I think it's the first one. The way way more on the first one. So that's the answer to that question. You want to fund that stuff? Yes, you also want to get that debt down and get that debt paid off as soon as you can too. But I would encourage you also funding a savings or pension plan or whatever your financial planner advises for you. A fund that early because you had the time value of that money working for you over a longer period of time. And also, so you may look at you know, to be able to do both of those at the same time. Maybe a little bit of deferred gratification in terms of some of our consumer spending to be able to achieve both of those at the same time. Thank you, Gary. It's a great question and thank you Gary for that. Yeah, wonderful question. I appreciate that question. Getty, the question number three, one of your goals is to take care of patients you enjoy. How can I attract more patients who are genuinely interested in achieving optimal or health? Well, I'm going to start by answering that one. Then I'm going to flip it to you now and with your marketing expertise. I'm going to answer it from internal marketing. So every practice will have a few patients that are genuinely interested in optimal oral health. In other words, they're the ones that show up for their appointments. They follow your home care instructions. They respond to your treatment recommendations. They understand the oral systemic connection. And they're truly the joys the patients that are such a joy to be around. Every practice will have those. Well, narrative, have you ever heard of the saying birds of a feather flock together? Yes. Yeah. Those people likely know other people like that. So if you were one of those patients and I was the dentist, I might say something like this. I wish all of my patients were as interested in their health as you are. When I see you on my schedule, I literally know I'm going to have a great day. You probably know other people that are interested in their health. Would you be kind enough and tell them about our practice? I would love to be taken care of some of your friends. As well as yourself. So we're going to ask for a referral. Birds of a feather flock together. They probably know other people like that. But now let me flip it to you and I'm going to get specific with you Erin. Can you share with our listeners?.

"Number 6, treatment mix that gives you satisfaction. Now you have to self define that, because what one is loves to do, another dentist might not enjoy doing. You know, one dentist may love to do root canal therapy. And another dentist might find it tedious. You know, David, all of our listeners will know the name doctor David hornbrook, David's been a frequent guest on the podcast. He's contributed many great top clinical tips. David's a very dear friend and has been for many, many years. David once described to me, I love this nerd. Now David is a general dentist that does he really is passionate about cosmetic dentistry aesthetic dentistry. That's his world. And I don't like doing that. I don't do any of my practice. You know how I look at Endo? I think if it kind of like picking locks in the dark. Isn't that a good definition of, yes. Now, remember, this is an artist. Dave is an artist. He's visual. And root canal therapy just doesn't meet doesn't click, tick those boxes for him. So it's not good or bad, but David does or doesn't do end. It's just you got to find, you know, be true to yourself. Know yourself that that's one of the four things that doctor panky said that every successful dentist needs to know. You need to know yourself, you need to know your work. You need to know your patience and you need to apply the knowledge. Those are the four things, doctor banky said, every dentist needs to know if they're going to achieve full ultimate success. I got to know themself. Another work, got another patients. I got to apply the knowledge. And so David knows himself well enough to know, now Endo is doesn't tick the boxes for me. But this does, and I'm going to go do more of that. So he has to define what it is that you enjoy doing. And then set a very specific path to achieve that. So you do more of what it is that you enjoy. And they're analyzed the 6 goals. And I think every one of our listeners would agree that if they can achieve those 6 goals, they would indeed have a thriving practice. Now, near and there is nothing easy about those 6 goals. They are not. In fact, as evident by there's not really good data on this, but I have maybe the best set of data on this. My estimation on this is that fewer than 2% of the practicing dentists will achieve all 6 of those goals. And I'm not willing to sacrifice any of them. And I'm not willing to say, well, we almost got there. I want you to get every one of those. All 6 of those, you truly deserve those goals. Now, they're not going to be easy. But they're absolutely going to be worthwhile. One of the things let me ask you a question, these are lifetime goals, right? It's not like you can say, oh, it's not like I'm done, and then these guys don't apply anymore. You can strive to achieve these goals every year and get better at it. Well, it's sort of there's an element of. Accomplishment as you go. In other words, as you start to achieve these, you can move on to the next one. By the way, I'm often asked, are these even possible today? And I'm going to say very confidently the answer is yes. How can I say yes? Why can I say this with confidently? Because we have achieved those in my own practice. So if it's been done before, it must be possible. And we have clients all over the country that have systematically achieved those goals. We have one case that first one overhead no higher than 60%. A client that I started working with that had 90% overhead, 90% overhead when we started. Almost seems like, you know, hey, is it even possible here? And over time, he was able to get his overhead down to 56% well under the 60% goal. So these are possible. They're not easy. I would kind of equate it kind of like Olympic level performance, like world class level performance. And once you get there, you maintain it. They got to maintain it. Yeah, you can't. You can't fall off the mountain. You know what you're at the top, get it. You got to keep achieving it. But these can be done. They can be done with effort over a relatively short period of time. These can be achieved. And they are absolutely possible because I can point to practices all over the country in all kinds of different practice environments, locations, formats, and so on that have been able to achieve these. So yes, they are possible. But it begins with really an understanding, you know, you have to have begin with the end in mind. That's a Stephen covey habit, habit number two, begin with the end in mind. If you're talking about a successful practice, that's kind of abstract. But if we're talking success, meaning these 6 goals, then that's very precise. So instead of a shotgun approach to goals, it becomes a laser like approach because we're defining success on the achievement of those 6 goals. Erin, I know we have some great questions that were pre submitted by our listeners. Let's hit pause on the coaching and action segment, and we'll switch over to the.

"5 patients you enjoy taking care of. And goal number 6, treatment mix that gives you satisfaction. Those are the 6 goals. Now, I think any of our listeners would say that if I ask them, hey, imagine yourself having achieved all of those 6 goals. How would you feel? What do you think most Dennis would say if I asked him to, you know, maybe they have to think about it conceptually in their head because they're not there yet. But if they could achieve all 6 of those goals, how would they feel? What do you think most Dennis would say? I know, they would say I had a great life. I enjoy every day, you know? It's like get to do what I love to do. I get to go to work with people I enjoy. I get to take care of people I enjoy taking care of. I get to do the kind of dentistry that is my passion, but it's a high value services health center dentistry. And I don't have to work because I have to. But I work because I choose to, in other words, financially, okay, whether I go to my work or not. So this is like a passion project. I think they would say I indeed have a thriving practice if I could achieve all of those 6 goals. And a thriving life, I might add, you know, yeah. So let's kind of get a little bit more granular with each and every one of them. The first one, overhead, no higher than 60%, ideally 50%. Now, what is overhead? Overhead is all of the necessary expenses to run your practice with the exception of owner Dennis compensation. On a dentist's compensation. So now, 50% is achievable today, but I'm going to say it's very, very, very difficult. Yep, you can get it. You mean 50%. Okay. 50%, 50% is achievable. It is possible. But it's very much an outlier. I have clients in my client base have 50% overhead or less. General dental practice, I want to clarify that that's not especially brand, but general dental practice. But very difficult. Now I can confidently say that every one of our listeners can get their overhead to 60% or less. Again, it's not easy. The ADA, the American dental association reports that the average practice overhead is 74%. If your overhead is 74% means you're working too hard for too little. You deserve better than that. You deserve better than that. And I'm on a passion project to help as many dentists as possible get their overhead to appropriate levels. So they're not feeling like they're the proverbial hamster on the treadmill. The hamster on the wheel. Poll number two, the ability to achieve financial independence from your practice. And the reason I added from your practice, I mean, not from inheritance, not from the lottery. Not from your Bitcoin, you know, exploits. But from your practice. And financial independence to me near and means on a very simple concept. The day that you can go to work because you want to, not because you have to. The day that you can go to work, but you want to know because you have to. Now, technically, from a financial perspective, that would mean the day you had an asset that produced your annual income every year without ever touching the principle because if you end up touching the principle, then that asset won't be returning an ongoing return. But it would be whenever you have an asset that can produce your annual income. Without touching the principal on the asset, then you're technically financially independent. Because your income is coming from another place. So just hypothetically, if your income was $400,000 a year, I'm just making up a number in there. If someone's income was $400,000 a year, then their technically financially independent, when they have an asset that can return $400,000 a year without depleting the original asset. Does that make sense? And that applies in every level. If you're making $20,000 a year, then technically your financial independent when you have an asset that would return $20,000 a year without you touching the principle. You don't need to go to work anymore. You can go because you want to, because you have to. So really, that definition is elastic because it can apply at whatever level you define as your, as your annual income. Meaning your lifestyle, if you need 20,000 to live, that's all you need to be financially independent, but if you need 400,000 to live, then you need something that produces that amount of revenue every year. And sadly, the American I'll come back to the ADA, the American dental association says that in the year 2018, which is the most recent year we have information, only 3% of dentists at age 65 could retire without reducing their lifestyle. Only 3%. That means 97% can not do this. Well, they can, perhaps, but they'd be reduced to their lifestyle to do that. All right. So it's a little different definition. And I'm only using that because that was the actual data from the ADA. So they used it. They defined it a little bit differently. But I personally am on a mission on this one because I believe Dennis deserve better than that. They deserve to be able to retire with dignity. You know, it took a lot of effort to become a dentist at every level. 40 years with the work on top of that, right? And you took risk along the way because you became a practice owner and you risked your capital along the way. You deserve to be able to retire with dignity. You deserve that. And I'm on a mission to help as many Dennis as possible achieve that. And that's not easy.

"You know, personal satisfaction, to me, means that you're taking care of patients you genuinely enjoy surrounded by a team you love. So you're taking care of patients, you generally enjoy, and you're surrounded by team love. Professional satisfaction to me means you're doing more of the kind of dentistry that you like to do. Now, dentistry has all kinds of different variations. And what one Dennis likes to do another dentist doesn't enjoy doing. And so you kind of have to self define that, but ultimate success would be doing more of the things that you like to do. And clinically, more of the clinical treatment areas that you really like to do. And then you've got professional satisfaction. And financial satisfaction to me means that you're being compensated fairly and well. For your care skill and judgment, you're being compensated fairly and very well. You deserve to be compensated well for what you do. So that to me defines a thriving practice. It's a practice that provides personal professional and financial satisfaction. Now, the goals kind of become the details behind achieving that result. Let's talk about those 6 goals. I'm going to number them one through 6. Now, and they're not numbered in importance. They're numbered so I can simply remember to cover all 6. All 6 are important. We'll talk about maybe putting some order to it as we go. But I'm going to list these out all 6 of them. And then I'm going to go back and talk about each one in more detail. Does that sound like a good plan there? Absolutely. All right. 6 volts for a thriving practice. One that provides personal professional and financial satisfaction. Goal number one, I'd like you to have overhead no higher than 60%,.

"The rest of your day. Welcome back to the thriving dentist coaching in action segment. I want to take a moment to thank doctor Pavel for that amazing tip that three minute tip hope many of you found it useful. Coming back to our topic today, 6 goals to achieve personal professional and financial satisfaction. Gary, from the time I met you, you know, we have become dear friends over the years. One of the things that I like about you is you're very goal oriented, almost to a point, I could say you are OCD when it comes to goals. You can say that Aaron, I take no offense of that. I believe that if you look up the turbo CD on Wikipedia, I believe you'll see my picture next to it. And I am very, very OCD when it comes to goals. Guilty as charged. Yes, and now you have always been goal oriented and you have always helped your clients in your 42 year career helping dentists all across the U.S. Canada and the world build and grow their practices. You have focused on goals for them. And of course, they come with their own set of calls. And then you have studied the most successful people over the last 42 years. And found 6 goals that they all seem to chase in some form or other. So I think today's episode where you're going to kind of crystallize those 6 goals, talk about them in detail. I think it would be very powerful for all of our thriving dentist listeners getting. Yeah, you know, I'm really excited about sharing this information. Because you're exactly right, I've made it my life's work to study world class Dennis. And I've noticed some commonality among their goals. And then I've combined that with my own thinking about what it means to be successful today. And have come up with these 6 goals for a thriving practice. And you know, I'm often asked, what does it mean to have a thriving practice? And I have a way to explain that, what I mean by that is that it's a practice that provides personal professional and financial satisfaction..

"This is the thriving dentist show with Gary takis, where we help you develop your ideal dental practice. One that provides personal professional and financial satisfaction. Welcome to another episode of the thriving dentist show, I'm Gary takis, your podcast co host. We have a great episode for you today. It's titled 6 goals to achieve personal, professional and financial satisfaction. I think you're going to enjoy this one. By the way, every one of our listeners deserves to achieve personal professional and financial satisfaction. And before we get to that podcast episode, two quick announcements to make. Coming up at the end of this month, April 28th, we have our next masterclass. This masterclass is titled, grow your practice 10% or more in 2022 and beyond. A masterclass is a three hour course. It's done virtually. It's done in a live stream format. We do these live, so it's done a live stream format, but it's done virtually. So you can attend that course from the comfort of your home or office. And a three hour course allows me to take a deeper dive into a particular topic. And this topic tonight is April 28th is how to grow your practice at least 10% or more. My goal with every one of our clients is to grow by at least double digit growth every year. And double digit would imply that it's at least 10% or more every year. If you'd like to attend that, you can go to thriving dentist dot com forward slash masterclass. By the way, we do a limit the attendance to our masterclasses. Because I run a more like a workshop than a lecture. So they do sell out all of our masterclasses have sold out very inexpensive. You had three hours of CE very inexpensive and a great way to learn something at a deeper level that can normally be covered in a webinar..

Who’s the Preferred Match-up for Boston in the First Round of the Playoffs?

"What team is a better matchup for the Bruins. Maybe in terms of itself cuz I mean, let's be, let's be candid. You know, lead into this at either match is going to be tough, right? Either one of these ones, you're like, all right? Well, that's what it is, right. Is it thing though? Like, so I feel like the looming thing with capitals is that, you know, any team is going to play them is going to give the shit kicked out of them. But yes, you know, they're finishing their big team. They've got Tom Wilson, they've got Hathaway, they've got Dylan Char, all these, all these big guys, but I think you look at how you best exploit a team like that. It's easier than 14. Like the Bruins, what their strengths to land punches against a team like the capitals on the ice in terms of you know, the X's and O's and it is the Penguins. Now, Penguins may not be nearly as big but you look at just the way the Capitals defense is, you look at how Scholl they are on defense, how the Bruins right now especially up front, all of a sudden have all this speed in their line-up. I mean they've God Top six is the top six even though Richie Crowley coiler the physical track and wine, those guys can move, you know, really Sean Crowley is, you know, a very good skater and events or fourth line. Now. It might depend on the match of, you know, do you want to roll out debrusk and kacchan? The 4th Line? Or is that one we go with Lazar with Frederick and Wagner so that, that can change a little bit in terms of the max but you look at the, the, the defense of the capitals have. I mean, the Bruins average close to three, three point six goals per game, against the capitals. The only team that scored more goals against against Atlantic division. Foes our East Division, foes was the same Choice which makes sense, not surprising, but the fact that, yeah, the fact that, you know, Washington who has a slow defense who do not really have to lead goalies in that, which, I mean, I think the biggest equalizer for how much the cap wasn't given the Bruins trouble of these has been because of brain. Hopefully now you've got vanicek and samsonov two guys who don't really ski all that money. Trade. I just look at the matchups and what the Bruins are going to go up against. Yeah, you're going to get knocked around quite a bit but it's

Bandits, Not Boko Haram, Responsible for Latest Kidnappings in Nigeria

"And welcome to the foreign desk. I'm andrew miller on join first of all from a by the journalist chico oduor who has followed the story of nigeria's kidnappings since the boko haram raid on jabbar festival out into this program. Is this spate of attacks on schools. There has been in the last few days in wake some lodge some small some successful some not. In the general scheme of things how common have attacks on schools like this. Become in nigeria. They've become shockingly common to be honest. it's almost at the point. where were the nigerian. Public is feeling fatigue. And that's really scary. Because dis should be front burning stories but sometimes you get people not even wanting to even know the details because we've heard this before so the attack that happened. This past monday was actually the fourth that happened since december and then last year there are several attacks and what we're seeing of course is that these attackers are no longer really affiliated with the boko haram islamist movement. It's now just bandits. Criminals are looking for money and this has become a very very lucrative business. To be honest money is being funneled to rescue these hostages. And that's what's keeping this thing going. I mean from between june. Two thousand eleven march last year at least eighteen million dollars was paid to kidnappers as ransom. So for example in kara with three hundred. Schoolboys kidnapped this past december. We learned that some of the parents started to negotiate with the kidnappers. The boys when they were abducted and taken to the forest of northern nigeria. That's cat seen a state in the northeast. So the kidnapped boys. They started to make contact with their parents. You know with their cell phones and so they're talking to their parents and they're saying bring this amount of money in order for us to be freed so the parents started trying to find ways to do that dropping bags off here and there at designated points so in that case we did see parents collecting money fundraising amongst themselves. Also we're seeing professional gauche kind of coming to the fore and this especially we see with boko haram related kidnappings. So that's how we're saying that we're seeing this in the form of the parents themselves. So it was so desperate raising money for their children and also professional shooters because this is a huge market business. That has come forth win. Stories like this. Get reported beyond nigeria. Obviously the media tends to frame them in the context of boko haram because everybody thinks back to that huge kidnapping of two hundred and seventy six goals from sheberghan in bona state. Many of whom still haven't been found again but if this is now more just you're straight up and down ransom seeking banditry. Do we know if there is any overlap between the bandit gangs and boko haram. Is there any possibility that these bandit gangs are being used as fundraising proxies if you will you know again. I think the pentagon where the kidnapping takes place. Those possibilities do exist for example. The one that happened in december with three hundred. Schoolboys boko haram responsibility. But i'm of the belief that it was not boko haram and what's happening in that part of nigeria. There's been a lot of artistic gold mining and so some people feel that that industry which is a very murky industry extraction of gold is somehow contributing to the rise and kidnappings in northeastern nigeria. Sorry northwestern nigeria which is where it happened in december but casino which is where. We saw the kidnappings in the past. Few days is not part of that. So we haven't really seen much bokram activity in kaduna. In the past few years to be honest do a has been a hotbed of just bandits. Guys who literally take up residence in the forest and for the past five years. We've been seeing these kidnappers first of all attacking motorist going from the buddha kaduna expressway. That's been their operation for the past four years. So if you're trying to go up to do now which is a two hour journey. A journey from asia. You could get kidnapped. But now they've gone and started targeting children but it's the same group of people and they have no bocom affiliation at all to be honest so they went from kidnapping motorist and they target sometimes. The huge lorries of passengers coach buses. That take people back and forth. They could also target taxes that tend to be carrying more well to do nigerians. But now they've realized that kidnapping children it's more

"We'll stop in the bundesliga. We thought no leipzig get thrown away. The opportunity to keep pushing by munich. There were two knelt down halftime against borussia moenchengladbach but a brilliant second half performance and a late goal from soil with see them beat god back by three goals to to to continue to put the pressure on bind at the top of the table. Janocko fuel itself is with us yet. Thank goodness we still have a title race. Just thank goodness to halftime. There was so many analyzes marker also sorting out gladbach. There will be calm now before he takes over. And then livesey made the bundesliga excited for two minutes with the irony at halftime. But thank god. Thank god for everybody. Neutral love love the bundesliga. There was fantastic. Second half of our show and they slowly came back. Glad back more tired had some chances on contracts but policy and kuku and solo there so many attackers. It's lives. You haven't score enough goals after chicken and van left them after last season but they produce tonight and we haven't excitement we have. We have a tight race in germany. Dan could you imagine. Say those words. I know i don't know very much unlikely. After the to say bad in the first half. Yeah yeah their web bad but but say having said that. I mean they had a ball the lot. They didn't create a lot gluck. Unbelievable efficient mcconnell had one of those half where look like the most clumps defender being around after being the most attractive defender around and toronto and half on peres demanded to nil and everything look like well typical vion after their gala show earlier on the day and now we have this situation fribourg against lives on friday if they win that top of the league at least for twenty four hours then the big game between via munich endorsements says you mentioned yance still two point separates vine and live sick. Let's switch attention to that wind show for buying a day. They were certainly facts that the way this game ended you. They could just keep scoring. Every few minutes on the will keep on scoring. I mean live on dose keno. Getting closer to that magic gaffe miller torty goals in a season scoring two goals today but there was a whole wasn't ed when they played their home three three losing in frankfurt against eintracht. And then they're back to the norm. Winning high in champions league winning five one against cologne. it's not like five or six goals better than them on the page but they just so efficient gerrad sky. Think a ended up with three assists. Today nabu just scoring for fun. Uneven ship matang scoring so i mean by will be all the way of the understatement of the nights at just into content main if levin dusky reaches at forty gaumont. It's unbelievable because then you compare yourself with the best goal Of all time and yes you could say the by a munich was fantastic. But you can say the same about this team. I mean we are talking about whole on emba- pay silva or were all these goalscoring sensations around europe the moment but levin dose gays to complete striker but the the goal getter part of his game is unbelievable to he's hungry and passionate for goals is unbelievable and you saw the way to the goals. Today you had a you finally got. Thomas miller on to fourteen seconds to make an assist for him. I just turned around. He knows all the time where where he is on the full patriots and if he beats the record i still doubted but he's getting closer meanwhile bruce feldman turning on in the second half in proved to be a comfortable win in the end. I'll tell you what twenty twenty one jaden sanitary. It's very different than twenty. Two thousand nine hundred and sounds like christmas press the reset. Button is incredible. Twenty twenty cents show. At least the half of it was very influenced with all that happened around us some monsters united being on the phone all the time. Hundred and twenty million hundred million europe but now he's on fire and the way he's playing at the moment he's playing with all his strength all the passionate he's running all the time he's body. Language is turn like hundred and eighty degrees unbelievable. I also today. I a writer who scored that goal. And i think that that sums up the way dole put his playing at the moment ailing all on. I'm not sorry. Putting in northern region after solo scored for for leipzig later tonight. But but then allen all on one against one against goalkeeper typically get up. We'll try himself. Just give it the ball away. And i think that sums up that door at the moment. They won three games in a row. Intense being under pressure as being a lame duck after the appointment of mark but they are back on track another only three points behind eintracht frankfurt for that very very valuable champions league place for they make it. Yeah yes. I think they will. Because i don't think well eleven games eintracht frankfurt had and with no losses i winston role. Then losing it to to bremen and as long as they can keep on winning these kind of games which has been difficult for them. They're lower teams like being felt today. They will keep on doing it but mind you next game. It's frankfurt against got. That could be a frankford. Win on there and Munich and then we can have that six points again. Because volts berg are winning games just like behind everybody under the radar of everybody of body so they could end up taking place in the bundesliga

"I'm Brian Burns beat writer for the Tampa Bay Lightning and I'm joined by Lightning radio analyst Daily Chelios. Great to be with you on the show again. Kaley, How are you today? It's always great to be together on the show Burns E. I'm doing well hanging in here is we just talked about in the negative one degree weather in Chicago. But Looking forward to this third game. We were excited to see kind of these two teams and their initial matchup, but it seems like they've kind of split the Syriza. It was all Panthers Game one and all lightning game too, so it should be exciting to see who's going to take home. The best of three set tonight. Yeah, tonight for bragging rights. I guess the rubber match in the three games said So. What did you think of that response from the lightning? I thought that was a really I thought that was the most adversity that this team has faced so far this year. What do you think of the injuries and the fact they're coming off that five to loss and the response that they had to come out and play the way that they did two nights later? I thought was fantastic. I agree. I was expecting a much better response. I think as far as effort level goes, that was probably the worst effort we'd seen from the Lightning on top of probably the best. Team they'd face so far this season or the best game they'd seen. So that wasn't a great combination. But I guess I expected a much better effort in Game two, and I thought they'd be giving the Panthers a much harder game. But I didn't expect was the six goals. That came out of it In a lot of the performances from some of this Support players and the secondary scoring, I thought was excellent. The penalty kill was great. I know they have a really good penalty kill. I think their top five or their fifth with 84.8%, but just the timeliness. Some of the big saves Basil Levski made that first period with the double minor against Victor Hedman. It kind of slow down their momentum a little bit, but Unleashed four goals in the second period the way they did and I really liked, you know Tyler Johnson, Jamal Smith, both of their games. Come to mind when I think of that game and I certainly wasn't expecting a six goal five gold, you know, deficit. For the Panthers in Game two. So it was pretty impressive to see them flip the script like that Burns E. Yeah,.

it's a thrilling moment to be it's a sailing moment in the history of this Republic because today is the day Vance are a Colossus of the era has decided to jump into the democratic presidential nominating a right somebody jump in I mean I think he's failed filed his nomination papers with the secretary of state in Alabama is that correct is that the one he's going to find his papers that registering I don't know where these registering an actual presidential campaign or just an exploratory committee for a presidential campaign or maybe just an exploratory committee for an exploratory committee for a presidential campaign but Michael Bloomberg the great Sarah nanny all of New York the great former mayor of New York has decided to jump in on the Democrat side he's been a Republican mayor he's being an independent he's been a lifelong Democrat and he's now decided that as an opening in the presidential race because the identity politics millennials up just pining for another septuagenarian white guy who wants to confiscate that guns so Bloomberg is decided to jump in the race he's a moderate because that means he just wants to bands supersize cited as a surprise to all of them Bloomberg is jumping into the race today and it's bad news for all quid pro Joe Biden because quid pro job who is he supposed to be in the moderate line and he's it his his moderation is a bit flabby is moderation is out of shape so they decided they need someone else in the moderate line and it's it's gonna be blown back which basically means I would think that they will make certain to end up with a left wing candidate now the thing about it is judged the the central fact about Joe Biden is he John raise any money which you need unless your trump because from a spend you know thirty seven Bucks seventy nine cents getting elected president for anyone but trump you need to spend a gazillion dollars so you have to raise a gazillion dollars an econ raise anything Joe Biden and what he raises he just blows through and the the one thing so the one thing that Joe Biden has is no money the one thing Bloomberg has is money so right now he's just made Joe Biden's life incredibly difficult because to hang on to his command of the squishy soft bogey woozy semi Jedi geriatric told during about on the stage not quite sure what state he's in moderate line his command of that bogey modric ground has just got a whole load of more expensive I'm fine Mike Carroll Bloomberg an interesting figure he was made to before me to with school he had he had all these bit don't quite a hobby wine stain level of sexual harassment suits but he had as a president trump alluded to I think just an hour ago at one of his helicopter press conferences yeah he he certainly settled certain is more than one of those suits a few years back he had quite an old boys kind of culture and Bloomberg he used to pass women in the car and need say I do ha and then he would explain that use a few years later when he is us why you would be saying well these women I do have a that he thought it was a phrase meaning you'd be prepared to go after him Pabst's take them to dinner and a movie that's gonna have a chocolate malt at the soda fountain with them that's what the phrase I do I'll I do have means this is rather belied by the fact that among the many interesting features he had an open display in the Bloomberg offices will blow up six goals and a giant rubber breasts with squirting nipples so if he does get elected president these are gonna make very attractive additions to the rose garden I'm I don't know when you see anything going on in the rose garden it looks so dull I would love it if like president Bloomberg would be standing there in front of couple of giant rubber breasts with scratching nipples pipes for it on fourth of July they could squat red white and blue anyway we'll excited Bloomberg is in the race meanwhile impeachment goes on I should tell you by the way the difference this is America's number one radio show I like coming from from northern New England we have Mike and Greg in New York and we have missed snidely monitoring the show to make things and get a show things don't get out of hand from an undisclosed location but you know when you listen to most of these conservative talk show high so we say that doing the show from a bunker from a bunker and the you know I thought I'd take it to the next level so I'm doing the show from a stiff I do like the skiffs they're fantastic then named after Adam skiff who spends his whole life in one but they still they way cool I went down I've had one in shoulder when I bought a copy of Martha Stewart skiff living it's great she's got all the the tips that have to decorate your skiff and it's fantastic so wait wait don't bother with the show's from bunkers any guy can have a shot from a bunker where DO and then shot wait let's do that as a as Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney said let's do the show right here in the skate so wet in the shower hair from the skiff today and because it's the end of the week you know what station it is one eight hundred two eight two two eight eight two is the number to call the only the show and that's all you gotta do you just go to dial the telephone stick your finger in and rotary phones that's why I say dial it what what what have you tried pushing all fry touch and disproves screen display of any that you don't have a rotary phone because you're right we phone at one eight hundred two eight two two eight eight from Monday to Thursday this show is under the ruthless control of a highly trained board passed specialist are out but these seasonal head today he's not here today and as usual he is left is a conundrum because of this whole open line Friday on Thursday thing so whether we should do Sami known open line says that on Friday or whatever and I never know quite how to make the call on this but we will have a more expansive range of topics than we would normally entertain when rush is exercising his highly trying board because specialist ruthless control of the content of the program so you want to throw something at me from completely out of the blue go ahead and and do it and I always love to hear from liberals if you think you can justify this impeachment thing go on go on hi I have a go give me a show one eight hundred two eight two two rite aid to tell you what I'd also like to hear from we handle this thing about the mainstream media the responsible media then all state media like fox and propaganda alike rush I miss stone age that now how old free networks is supposed to be free old school networks ABC CBS NBC are as we know from run in families both NBC covered up full the winds stay in and fight for Matt Lauer they come but they knew about it they covered up for those guys because they will yes me Trumbo will have you felt that disgusting tape of his which some shopping all the ones who went on running that story a man well that's a great guy shore occasionally he'll well he'll take some producer off to cover the Olympics and sexually assaulted what's the big deal about that then we'd go what's going on at ABC ABC they knew about the abstain thing right and they wouldn't break that they would they refuse to cover that story they had the goods they have the goods on abstain and on Bill Clinton in twenty sixteen and they refused to run that story and they said it was because the stuff about prince Andrew they were concerned that they Buckingham Palace wouldn't give them an interview with William and Kate are you Americans want their A. B. C. stands for the American broadcasting company right and then running they're not gonna run a story on some mass Peter undead nymphs fed sure sure six labor six probably got because the minute pitch in interview with the second in line to the phone did did seventeen seventy six happen at all to that down at ABC then we have CBS whose record on this Hey I want exactly covered up for hobby wine CEO Jeffrey at staying up but they have they did fire the person who leaked the audio a revealing that ABC had covered up for hobby wind sings so we now have all free mainstream networks who considerate the priority to protect yeah by the way the the person at CBS the late fired was what they call a whistle blower that's right she blew she or he blew the whistle on what was going on at ABC covering up first sexual predators but I but that whistle blower that we supply gets no protection that whistle blows out the dole that whistle blower loses the job that whistle blower is gone it's the southern it's this for whistle blower this whistle blower who hasn't blown any whistle ever who gets gets all the protection but ABC CBS NBC it's fine but it's fascinating to me in the end it's oval me to feminism all we believe women but not when it comes to protecting the powerful man in our own industry are there will Ford's these guys there that basically the it's it's basically ABC CBS and NBC our PR outlets for the powerful elites for powerful mainstream elites and they protect them we'll talk about that we'll talk about impeachment it's Adam Adam Schiff is out of this if that's one of my favorite limericks if you know how it ends give me a coal Adam Schiff is out of the skip and he's gonna be holding open herring supposedly next week which are actually more like for any old Soviet's listening more like the old school Moscow show trials we'll talk about that talk about the shake up in the presidential race with the latest hot shot Democrat latest Democrat Savia to save the world from trump plants Mike Bloomberg and anything else that is all I tell you one thing I want to forget the fuddy if anniversary of the Berlin Wall comin down that's this weekend president Reagan said Ted down this wall in nineteen eighty seven all the liberals all the Democrats Hafer publicans thought he was a not a simpleton why would you say ten down the wall the rules had to stay two years later they tore it down that's thirty years ago this weekend we'll talk about that and all the other stuff that's on your mind open line Friday with mark Steyn on America's number one radio show you're listening to the EIB network radio six double again when you are shopping for bed sheets comfort is everything but buying a mattress why you need comfort and support wrong mattress can leave you.
