"So Good Morning Good Morning I'm good I'm good Other name another yeah another name that I mentioned not yesterday I didn't really get into much detail but flame away got himself a stallion deal and here's a Catholic boy lately last week and you know after some fits and starts to try to get him back to the races decision made to just get them ready for his stallion career what are you what do you think of his prospects and who would who would benefit from a visit the Catholic boy well you know gotTa Claiborne Farm and Right away you know you get a big stamp of approval right there I mean commercial beard GonNa have profitable yearlings always inevitably happens you know there's it's tough to get in they're a little more stringent had you know access to excellent mayor so yeah it's it's really promising thing to get a horse burn and at this price point twenty five love you know he's extremely attractive especially with what he did with the racetrack last year you know he's got he's one of the things certainly one of the most commercial prospects you look that you're more than ready who I I've identified daddy passed that I I thought that he had the the most similar profile a call them kind of a poor man's scat daddy uh his his career continues to sort of you know just sort of plug along a very solidly in any gets you know he gets different kinds of horses you know he's got that turf influence and the assumption Ashley off of the resume the Catholic boil offer that that same kind of template interestingly you know got daddy and more than ready Were owned by the Guy eighteen scatter Tino James Scattered Keno and scat daddy ah with actually the price lower than more than ready for a while wasn't ready real claim to fame we've got him on the map was was a premier standing at one point the best down in Australia we'd been shuttling every year you know at one point he was standing in the two hundred thousand dollars range in Australia each Sonam no then and slowly to pick up here now he was an anomaly and one instance because his own sire southern halo was stood at dad delayed and on saying they're not famed lucky brought us that somehow outta where he was the dominant stallion in Argentina and then coolmore decided to reverse shoveling here and he really wasn't that big here but he left one big son and that was more than ready and the so you know it's interesting how me part of that here will line Sunday silence line that so productive explosive in Japan and Australia likely and he's an interesting course he does preserve you know a certain line that is kind of gone here except for him You have another introduction one of Sunday silence come here with Cheetah Windstar but the morning more than ready line you know going to be given an opportunity here and you know hopefully it adds to you know we've we've flowers again notes some differences said the differentiate between more than ready and Catholic boy and by that female family and Catholic boy with the Bernardini Mayor Song of Bernadette Stamina influence in the second dam winter's edge by seeking the gold and there's the turf influence the Jetski the Third Damn lucky US and that that's got all kinds of versatility in it there's some brilliant they're staying power and there's there's turf so a little of everything and then more than readies family of courses a raise a native line with Whitman's girl the dam daughter Woodman and there's a there's a real diversity in the female families of these two of the son and father yeah but one thing is the turf for more than ready Morton ready with really he ran fourth in the Derby here now perform here on dirt what came to be with him what is ordinary perf ability and for a long time he was considered really turf type of sailing for lack of better phraseology was wasn't that popular here in the beginning because of that turf kind of the reputation he was getting especially in Australia where he was Chouinard the it's all turf there and sprints and he had this sprinting profile turf sprinting profile that he developed as a shuttle Stallion and with this Horse Catholic boy the Big Difference Steve is the introduction as pointed out of the ATM D. Line which is dirt and some Stamina Bernie turning into an incredible broodmares down and you know immediately you're able to get and don't forget this first started out turf wars too but Jonathan Thomas and his ownership group sided to try to dirt successful and stayed Ten furlongs which is added stamina of exactly that those stacking of the sires you pointed out from first second third damn off Stamina Bernardini seeking Golden Aginsky added some turf into obviously been aginsky part but but you know there was already turf there and what what they did here with the source is add more staying power dirk to it and it really showed in his racing performed Uh anything anything anything on a mayor top of your head just glancing at the this you know who should who should think about the Catholic boy The WHO would who would you be recommending well the close look you know a lot of times it's it's not just the it's not just the sire line cross but it's sort of like what we do with our boomer compatibility so now it's is is we take a look match us that a sire line cross but how the ancestors of say more than ready this is the Nissan would perform which different ancestors in that particular mayor and that gives sort of like we call it the lion scorebig radiographs which I find to be extremely helpful oh in using as an adjunct to other stuff so like when we do that we take that particular mayor and we see say go back five generations and CD in for more than ready just with the stallions with the mayors of the family too and that gives an added layer of information which we can use to who kind of you know obviously any new sire there's no production history so you've got to you've got to really analyze the family you've got Dan lies the ancestors and the family sire line across and Sorta come to conclusion but you know I think he's a really attractive horse the first one of the first burn more than ready to go I studied with the Horse at Winstar could name escapes me would you probably remember him the Champagne winner By morning what's his name apology to wins to her but it's I crap is two years this year champagne winner by more than ready was Oh my God you know Yeah Jeff Chad Chad right the chat horse now practical joke or practice how can I be practical joke intimacy ships commissions champagne when I'm sure Elie Ball he's listening is just grinding his teeth God guy can remember the champagne winter young course here that study which is really butchering thing but daredevil. Okay sure sure there's been a lot of there's been a lot of I got a text the dare Jason Crowley said Daredevil did that we got people listening on twitter me out thank you Jason appreciate that You Know Age and Marie Charlie Charlie Bodin Charlie votes also weighed in on on my end to Charlie I couldn't remember either I there's a there's a lot I know that they they put a lot behind him they they had a lot of confidence in him and he he hasn't really cropped up yet among among these worsening it got really good-looking fact in yearlings and two year old so you know it's still early but the you know you would've liked it I have seen him op early like what are we supposed to do but let's give them a little time but any rate it's way too are you know in the southern hemisphere the more than ready sons have been extremely well so I think I think that I for one love to see this line you know flourish here you know talking about diversity Yeah I mean it's a halo line and you know it adds ads opportunity for people and we're starting to see they pay some attention to this different lines during to you know come up like that so he had some other horse to you know ready Eh image I think get Kelly met has you know th there have been talking about some of the bigger profile names that are starting just show up so you know you get this line and some of the Sun coming up and it's you know Catholic boy is th- is is the Big Guy and hopefully daredevil picks it up and you've got some other sons to in the waning so you know it's it's it's a positive development and it's great that clever aren't you know back this worth a couple of other couple of other stallion uh pieces of news just in Philip is going to move to New Mexico and it's funny even before I read The the blurb about it I thought to myself you know given given his you know his style of runner New Mexico probably suits suits him and then I saw a quote from Jim Hernandez who owns the company he says I targeted Justin Phillip Because of the speed he throws and he's going to fit the mayors in New Mexico so Casselton lions made the the arrangement to move just that Philip and said you know we we talk about the international stallion last week we spent some time talking about the Marcia Gay Sir Prance a lot very interesting with a reverse shuttle how who's the last was last time we saw this a southern beer coming up we we've seen it here a few times you know we've seen it here with Vancouver coming to the just recently medallion euros and coming from Godolphin Australia to here we saw with the cool morals abroad that medallion your son Weaver shuttled in Kentucky We've seen it with the Darby Dan Eh red ransom son on and we were shut law American here we don't see happening as in the case of soprano the places outside of Kentucky and that's an interesting one this has been announced for a while and in fact I wrote about it the mentioned it the months ago too but this surpassed by has had such incredible success with the ball in the California don grazing and that group and racing in California that make a lot of symphonies really attractive wars you know gets speed in Europe and that kind of translates the miler speed here on the turf and you know I think for California breeders to Great happening and and he he does well with Nureyev Line Mares as well and of course in California the leading horses there was unusual he extending Noor am right so you know he's got that kind of near pool to work with so that's a really nice a reverse shuttle I can't really think of any outside of Kentucky like I said it's not it's not a common occurrence the reverse and it certainly there working away there well when you mentioned this and of course just just this weekend the win brands a lot and I've I've mentioned his name Soprano a lot a couple of different times Bo Bo recall is the other other big name I mean the ones that the ones that have turned up and it's funny because I brought this kind of referencing this this story line a little bit earlier with Jonathan Thomas because here's that AAC win that he authored on Sunday with xenophobia daughter of Falco son of pivotal a and we when these when these I don't want to call them obscurities but you know we talked about exceeded the exceed and Excel and You know this is a number of times and it's always it's always know worthy and interesting and somethin' tells me that you know I know things are are really Tenuous for the cow breeders but Rancho San Miguel is going to be standing Syrup rants a lot and I imagine he'll be he'll be well received it will he's he's he's a prospector line horse to Gulf of rare thing here Gulch then had a son who had Thomas US and comedy uses son France Lot he's one of those precocious horses but again ad take some diversity to the equation you know Falco the the sire of Nobile he's a he was actually a really good race whereas believe he won the French Guinea but east he stands very absolutely and I think he's I think he services National Hunt Horse in Europe as well as flat he's he he had another states winner in the United States one Laurel Dasher we've but yeah he you know he's a and it's interesting how this came because he was as an Obie award a private purchase by Strawbridge STRATEG- purchase her. Pinocchio let's Start and in from Ireland ran forth there and then came here and was offered over for over a year until until the win so interesting that you know she's normally a breeder that perhaps the potential broodmare that prospect P boggs academic yeah exactly and and it didn't take long for Jonathan to get you know North American black type and it sure.

"A graded stakes great ones on the dirt and and and create tools on the grass and and you Sony can kind of do it all and it's a good point because what he did with with Mongolian the groom sure you were watching at the end of the card I mean that was that was impressive and you know who he reminds me of right. Now is Louie. Sayas does has that same kind what what he did with Mongolian groom is what Lewis I is doing for a while now you know going out there on the front end and then sort of Y- in quickening and making everybody panic and it's a I love that style and this this is this a pretty exciting Eddie Development to see how see somebody break in like this and sort of just explode yeah I think he I think he definitely took the right course and in and honed his craft in Golden Gate and on the synthetic there you have to be really tactical because it really a lot of those races are one one more and I turned off the last quarter of a mile. So you kind of have to really know where to be so you don't get stuck in and then you know I think he's used that adopted it. Come here and you know where he needs to be all the time and and you know he's proven it with his success well had acclimate tackle nights acclimate and we'll oh yeah he he ran Iran. It's hard out I mean that's kind of a gut wrenching for a trainer to to see both of their horses Kinda doing it out but I mean you know Friday and have someone else would be doing the the same thing but I'm proud of him. Just as much as Cleopatra you know he said those fractions and still at the top of the lane he rallied and and try to come. I'm get him on but just couldn't do it and he's he definitely came out of his race in great shape and now we're gonNA take he wanted to win and you're in so we're going to take a shot in the turf. I I don't think you're GONNA have to set those kind of fractions in that race in you know and I I think it'll be much softer structure for them and and I think he can run a big race in there. Well you know I'm trying to think if he didn't do it on the front end but that year but didn't little Mike win his Breeders Cup turf out there. I believe so yeah I believe yeah here at Santa Anita kind of with a similar style exactly that that just popped in my head and Ramon you can't you can't reach for Ramon but it Victor Victor obviously with the you know with the map there but let me ask you to I referenced the but Golden Globes Win and you had isotherm in there. What what what did you think of the way the race turned out? Yeah I mean I I I think I think that trainer is is done a great job with that horse I mean he shipped them everywhere. He didn't run a bad race at Saratoga that horse he panicked got Kinda got in trouble. I remember watching the racing in midstretch and and but he hung in there and and I think you Kinda just I use that experience and race to to propel them. You know to to victory here. Tannin Nita and you know this track. DOC is it's demanding. It's a great surface great track. It's just kind of you need to be one hundred percent ready to go here. on the main and you know I think that the trainer had Mongolian groom or whatever his name was ready to it looked good went in for sure I took notice of him when he when he ran that a good race in the pack classic and I loved him when he came to New York I thought he would. I thought he would absolutely skip over over a a more tightly packed surface given how deep untiring del Mar was playing and particularly how the eastern horses who went out out there. They all basically drowned out there. They all came back saying how deep the the track was so I the surface it's just kind of these these surfaces that same anita they're just a little bit slower than they had been in the past but but I I think very safe and and you know I think you just need to adjust and and maybe your horse needs to Tabriz. You're the time or to to really be ready to go well. Your horses were certainly ready to go. Fill the total of five wins over the three days and there was also yesterday right you want something yesterday. Run an allowance with the with the Philly I think she's going to kind of be a nice little up and comer a little euro may mischief e and and she liked that little extra half half a furlong setup they had here at Santa Anita Ada that they debuted this weekend and I think she'll go up the ladder and hopefully develop a nice little stake really interesting and and I just looked at it just looking at her. She's a three year old. She's buy that. Sir Prance Allot Baltimore has got the Nice Lady Prance a lot right He's got that very useful. I've talked I've talked to sit Fernando citizen as giving some back some little background and this is a really interesting mix and match because she's out of a dam by the Australian trillion the Australian sire that exceed and Excel who who just passed away right the last sixty days but yeah no. I think he's even standing stud here in California for for a bit and then going back home. I believe the the kind of their shuttling them but yeah no he. He's a nice productive for sure and and I think philly's got a little future very cool. That's a cute name. Do we like that. What else Phil what and what do you got coming up for this weekend? For the next round. I've got Bowie heroes GONNA run keeneland. That's right and I have Prince Earl but who won the del Mar Mile. He's GonNa come try to win the city of hope mile at Santa Anita along with and Dash little red feather and so I've got some nice shots there amongst the mother you know allowance races so that's kind of what I'm looking forward to in this weekend. Can we love it and of course one of the Nice that was one of our pick contests we had fun with print searle and good luck in the city. I hope and we'll see you in just just a few weeks but obviously a tremendous special way to start the season. Three graded stakes wins the barn and a lot more to come Phil D'Amato always a pleasure thank you so much I appreciate it filled D'Amato everybody and Cleopatra's strike for Slam Lamp Dunk and Mike Net wig and then birth for Little Red Feather and pee wee reese for can't say no nick Alexander holy cow bottom of our state this this morning flew by we fit in we fit in a trip to Mongolia.
