I'm in love just came across that article. You were talking about Wall Street Journal that the risk of death for kids is Quite a bit lower than they even thought And it was very low to start with. From the from the Chinese bad fever. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, from Covid, Um, which makes obviously the crime of keeping them out of school. All the worse and all the dumber. But We knew that the evil perpetrated by the teachers unions, it bothers me. The fact that the vast majority of Americans will never comprehended. They will not be given that information or they will be given distorted information that makes me insane that we didn't push back harder against it. I know it's just amazing. And probably never will. Unless I don't know, unless Joe Biden's grandkids are probably great. Grandkids can't go to school, though. I'm sure they're an expensive private schools that have been functioning perfectly. I mean, I'm trying to think what what's socially societally would happen. For the vast majority of Americans to finally get a clear picture of how ugly and unfair that all was. I don't know. I don't know. Coming up the utterly hilariously hapless rental aid programs run by the federal government. First, though, because I Joe will pass up no opportunity to humiliate CNN, which I still watch from time to time to punish myself for my sins. Uh, let's start with clip 41. "Meal single item at regular price. Yeah. Armstrong and getting this is the best of Armstrong and Getty members of Congress saw in both classified and unclassified session. Some pretty remarkable examples. One is that a few years ago, the United States was bringing in some very large electric transformers, the kind you use to power the electric grid and when they sent them off to one of the national labs for examination. They discovered some hardware inserted in the transformers that was not part of the design spec that would have essentially enabled somebody in China. To flip these on and off. Well, that seems like a big deal. So The New York Times has a daily podcasts, and today's version, David Sanger was on. He's one of their senior reporters that write about all kinds of things. Like he was just talking about and the fact that China was selling us, Uh, equipment that has a secret off switch on it that Beijing could use if they ever wanted to. And, well, glad we figured that out now. Well, I'd say, And that's just the beginning of the technological off. You know, tools that our adversaries can use. An off switch is awful, obviously, but he's going to be talking about some other options. And I had not realized this. I'm reading a piece heritage dot org about this very problem. And and it says it is widely understood that a major power grid collapse could become the single most deadly event in US history. Really what? What? What would kill people how I suppose all hospitals being offline, although they generally have generators? There would be, you know, for the old folks, people dying of boredom, left and right. Can't play video games. Don't have the Internet told me no Netflix people. They just kill me. Kill me Now People's heart just stopped out of boredom. Are they assuming some number of like traffic stuff? Because traffic lights don't work? Well, I think you'd have that you would have crime. You would have old people who have assistive machinery in their houses. Would croak. Hospitals would have terrible problems. Well, I'll tell you what. I'm not trying to sell guns, but that's when I'd be happy to have a gun. If if all the power went out for, like, days at a time. Oh, my God. Yeah, yeah, I'd like to read more about that. I must confess. Maybe it's a lack of imagination. I feel like I'm missing something but at any rate Well, I'm noodling that through. Why don't we play the next David Sanger clip and then in the telecommunications area, we saw something similar. We saw Internet traffic that was running through Chinese controlled elements of the network inside the United States. That was mysteriously being routed to Beijing before it came back to the United States and elsewhere in the world, and people started asking the question. Why is it that China could from a base in the United States route traffic at will. Back to Beijing. Mhm. And then there's the five G argument revved up and we were urging allies not to buy the Chinese networks. We had nothing to offer them because American companies have gone out of the business. To the ominous synthesizer. How did how did a staple of the New York Times Daily partner? Really? How did the five g the discussion with Huawei providing European allies with their their five G service? How did that ever Did that ever even start knowing what we know? Or knowing what you know The people like David Sanger. We're talking about their great great Britain was going to have Wall way provide their five G network until Trump got really tough on that. And they were going to was going to have an off switch and all the information is going to go through China and remember that ridiculous somebody from five G saying China has no, uh, has no control over us where an independent entity in all right whatever. Oh, yeah. Wild. Y sure? Yeah, right. Yeah, that seems like an utterly un controversial proposition that we should not by our critical infrastructure gear from our mortal enemies. Good Lord. So this piece and heritage points out the crash of the Texas electric grid during the during your giant ice storm that knocked out people's heat, which could be a serious problem and or air conditioning in the sweltering summer in the city's say. So that could be a source of death. Right there. They mention that the Trump Administration issued executive order 13 9 29, declaring a national emergency with respect to the nation's electric grid and prohibiting the acquisition or installation of quote any bulk power electric equipment designed, developed, manufactured or supplied by persons owned by controlled by are subject to the jurisdiction. Of such foreign adversaries, including China and Russia, North Korea, Iran, Cuba and Venezuela. We have another shortish clip on this topic. And the accumulation of these examples managed to wipe out 30 years.

You should know for sure that your deep struggle can if you're willing and open produce your greatest strength. Have you ever come across an old picture and been instantly transported back in time to the point where you can feel the clothes you're wearing. There is a photo of me. Twenty one years old. That gives me exactly this feeling. The skirt i was wearing cost forty dollars more than i'd ever spin on a single item of clothing. But i was willing to do it for my first major celebrity interview jesse jackson. He was speaking at a local high school. Telling students down with dope up with hope and i'd been assigned to cover him. My news director didn't think the event was worth our time. But i'd insisted okay. I pleaded assuring him. I could come back with a piece worthy of the six o'clock news and i did. I had a fondness for telling other people's stories extracting the truth of their experience and distilling it into wisdom that could inform inspire or benefits. Someone else still. I was uncertain about what to say to jesse jackson. Or how to say it. If i knew. Then what. I know now i would never have wasted even a single minute doubting my path because when it comes to matters of the heart emotion connection and speaking in front of large audiences i thrive. Something happens between me and whomever i'm engaged with. I can feel them. And since that are vibe and right back with me. The last item I mentioned to you from the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies that should be considered hate speech to say humans are superior to animals. Goes under the heading of what I have often commented on my program. Is the single most consistent theme of all of my broadcasting. Consequences of secularism. People never think about that. This is a generalization. Some people do overwhelmingly. It is not even raised as a topic. The most important topic of the last century is ignored. What are the consequences of the death of God? Nita Nita addressed Death of God mean God does not die. But the death of belief in God shorthand. People act like it's a not people treat it as if it is a non issue. The issue. When religion died in in Europe. We got Nazism, fascism and communism. Religion is dying in the United States. You've got the 2020 chaos, the moral chaos. The riots, an intellectual class of idiots. True idiots defund the police. Is there a stupider doctrine that you have ever heard in your adult life? Defund the police. If you defund the police, more people die. Do you understand? That's what happens. It is an announcement. I want more people killed. There was no difference between defund the police and I want more dead innocent people. You are a despicable idiot. If you believe in defunding the police, you idiots who do not who vote for these idiots. You don't give a damn about people dying at the hands of criminals. That is what it means. People were wrong in thinking that you needed police to stop criminals. What idiots? But we went to graduate school. We know better. Well, let's reimagine hate speech. Right as these guys right? It's all the consequences of secularism. I was in Colombia. You could see the article. I wrote it many years ago. It's on the Internet. If you write it, it stays there. How I found God at Columbia. You know, I went back to Columbia few years ago. I'm reminded of this because somebody in my speech in Utah Was a student at Columbia at the time and actually went to the speech. And I spoke about it again. How I found God here at Columbia. And Colombia banned it from being Podcast while I did it. They didn't even allow it to be recorded. Nothing. They could stop it, but they they could stop a video camera and I don't know if I still have the audio. Anyway. "Meal single item at regular price. Welcome back to the veterans perspective. So we've been talking with Jill Matthews retired U S Army G one Sergeant Major, and we were just talking about Juneteenth and and I think you know, as we we talk with this phenomenal woman who happens to also be, you know, African American. I think it's important. That we talk a little bit about your journey. We talk about the 32 years of service that you had and some of the things and and that that people maybe don't see on that other side. And so, please. I'd love for you to tell us a little bit about your service. Why did you join the military? And what was it like being a G one. Sergeant Major. Oh, great. Wonderful. I joined the military. Really just to travel. You know, sometimes you on that transition where college is not for everybody at a certain time, So I really had to find myself and I joined the military. I joined the army in September. 1984 and I grew up in the military and I retired after 32 years of faithful service. As a G once our major, so I'm very pleased with that. Some of my experiences is just every everyday life experience with people. Um, where I am an African American female because sometimes you wear the uniform and it's okay because the uniform protect us in certain ways, but it does not protect a person's true character in their core. How they feel about a race of people or generation of people. Prime example. Like sometimes I would go to meetings and as a G once our major, you know you should be sitting at the table, but you're sitting on the side. And then the G one star major prior to me. He sat at the table, So I just got up enough. The meeting and I said, when you are ready for me to sit at the table, then you know, call me back because that was my place to sit at the table. For some reason, someone changed it around. But As a star major, You sit at the table to make decisions, and that's that's where I'm at. And that's why I was that in the military. Well, I think what you said, is so important, not even just for those serving in the military, those women or those people of color that are serving in the military. But for For civilians as well is is that if you know that you're supposed to be at the table, and you're not at the table, then you you need to make some type of statement whether it be walking out and saying, You know what? You send me the meeting notes. You do all of these things, you know, Um, but you're not going to get my input unless I'm sitting at the table where I belong, And so I think that's an important message to share and it just reminds me. No, we're talking about history, right? We're talking about 18 63. And And I know this This play was about a time before that, but we're talking. You know, Hamilton, and it makes me think of that song. I want to be in the room. Where it happens is one of my favorite songs because I often think, Yeah, I don't want to be stand on the sidelines. I don't want to be standing outside the door. I want to be At the table. I want to know what's going on. I want to be a part of making the change. And so when you've earned that, right as as you have, I mean, you you were part of the the military folks who serve a part of the elite in general. You are part of an even smaller sect of people that were serving so what percentage were you in? Uh, it's the top 1% for the star majors in your career field, so I was blessed, you know, move up that ladder and I always thought to myself once I get there, I'll never forget where I came from, with leadership and guidance and reaching back by having a structure because you don't get to those position by default. And the positions that you've been selected to serve in is because of your confidence, your leadership in your fairness about everything. So you have to be mindful of the dynamics of the people around you because They just don't want you to be there in some cases because of who you are and what you look like. And that's just a small small portion of the military. So I don't want people to thank everybody. Militaries like this because the military is grand and everything that they do all branches of the service. But this is just my experience in different parts. Of my growth in the military before I retired. Well, you know you you served in this, uh, elite force, right? And you you, uh, made it up to the top level of enlisted branch? I mean, G one, Sergeant Major. You were over so many different things. I can only imagine because I know that women in General African Americans in general Can sometimes deal with, uh, insubordination and things just because of the mere color of their skin or the gender that they that they hold. In positions of authority. Did you see some of that? Oh, definitely because of who I am, because understand the armed forces is the melting pot. Everybody come into the armed forces for a specific reason. It doesn't make a difference, And we don't know your background of what your family did and what you go on and how you believe, But some people believe women shouldn't be in charge or you shouldn't take direction for women and I have that experience, but one good thing about the military when it comes to it. The subordination. We have counselor statements. We have article 15. We have court martials to keep everybody in guidance in good order and discipline with the armed forces. That's the protection that we have to keep everybody. Doing what they were supposed to do in building a cohesive unit in the cavities cohesive team, However, it's a little bit different when you get outside of the uniform. Yeah. You know, I can only imagine, you know, And I know I was talking about that story earlier about, you know, being in this predominantly white neighborhood and you know, being looked at differently until I had a uniform on but that's the same thing we You know when you serve and especially when you served 32 years, Uh, you know, there's something behind it you believe in your country you believe in what you're supporting You believe that you're supporting and defending and protecting the Constitution and so to take your uniform off. And not feel as though you're getting access to all the benefits and and and and opportunities that you're you've stood on the line and signed up and volunteered to protect.
