"It just looks like someone had a green the greens there. I'm looking at it now. There's definitely a new specialization. And then did you guys notice the little hint of something weird that looks like a 2D scrolling game? Go back and look at about one O 8. They show him on a surfboard. And it's a 2D scrolling moment, and then it cuts to a cutscene, but it shows a controllable moment. So is that like a mini game or something? Yeah, one. After one O 5, whatever. Oh, yeah, he's going through. You have to look quick, but there's a shot where it shows him very small on a 2D screen going like side to side on a light board. So that's why I was asking if there's other stuff I have. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it looks like gameplay a little bit. It's like a small. I mean, unless it's just the cut and it's a bad camera, it could be a bad camera cut. But it looks like gameplay. Did you play all the new ones? 'cause you play more destiny than anybody here, don't you? Quite a bit. It feels like I watched you play like less than two years ago. Was that even longer? That is quite a bit. But is it even longer? You've balled in destiny, man, for a bit. I think he's been, yeah, I think he's done the most. That's all my dad plays is definitely. You did that. "I don't know what the fuck is happening. I don't know what's happening in the story. I love the combo. Yeah, that's what I was asking, Johnny, do you remember the story? Because I had some issues with calling the story. I do remember it. Oh, okay. The problem is I think the problem is they had a lot of exposition dumps. Because I remember segments when that hologram lady would start talking. I was there for 15 minutes. Bro, I wanted to see the dialog off. And your helper at the starting of the game, your friend, the not the normal friend, the other friend, and there's one cutscene where there's some, I remember moss on the ground. It's in a jungly area and I'm just like, could you shut the fuck up? Please. Play the game? 'cause it's like the dialog sometimes shouldn't be in a cutscene, but is, and then the dialog you don't want them saying is in the talking part. Is in the game part and you're like, so they talk too much. So I get your, yeah, it's bad. Isn't it definitely the game definitely taught me not to go through all the dialog options. You know, I just ask what I'm curious about and that's it. They talk a lot on horizon is horizon is a dense game. I still think it's just I remember, yeah, the desert area where the big battle has happened and there's like The Serpent, the steel serpents, the old ancient serpents are in this. And I remember walking down when I did the walk in the walk, but even in the game. I remember walking down that hill and just being like, are you fucking kidding me? This is hell happened here. Yeah. And I'm just like, this is the most beautiful, horrible place ever, because you start to actually get the idea that this was a terrible battle. But at the same time, you're like, this is the most gorgeous looking. Or when you see the flyers on a corner in the middle of the night and you can see their eyes and you're just like, but mine had a lot of issues. I had a lot of enemies under the water. Some enemies can be under the water, but I had like horses underwater, just like looking around. There was a lot of bad placement on enemies. Yeah, well, maybe that given birth. Moving on from horizon, Super Mario Brothers, okay, moving on from that, crime boss. Be level fucking GTA three. Dude, what am I what was I looking at?

"Well, not only that, but remember you're an autobot, which means from the very core, you're transforming. So now you have to have levels that allow for driving. So now you're changing up everything. So it's like, we have no clue what this is. It could be battle arenas for all unit. It reminds me of GI Joe did this, Transformers did this in the 80s. Most of the big cartoons in the 80s mask did this where their second or third seasons, they completely rejiggered the entire thought process. So like GI Joe completely changed, like usually the good leader died or went away. That's what happened with optimus. And then optimist came back because he was the only cool autobot. You can't kill the only good fucking autobot. The rest were so shitty. Like, I can transform into tablecloth and you're like, who the fuck cares, man? The autobots sucked. They were terrible. And Hasbro wanted to sell toys. So it's like you gotta make your guys good. And they did. I have to say I bought a few of myself. Me too. I have a lot of Transformers, masks. The big transfer. Oh yeah, I had the big guy that was the rocket ship. Oh yeah. Well, wait, not mega trunk. No, he starts with an M though, but he's the metropolis. He's like an even had like a little fucking track for the builder to drive around and then it was a rocket. It was so cool. Moving on from there, Company of Heroes, not out yet, the console version was announced, though. Okay. So once again, showed real life people running around, no footage, shittiest trailer ever. Well, it's so confused. So was I so was everybody. Is this a movie? What? Dude, I thought call of I thought this game has been out ten times. Company of Heroes feels like it's been out like it was Dunkirk, dude. I was like, wait, why are they showing Dunkirk? Yeah, it was so confusing.

"I was ready to buy that. Moving on from there. Surprise of the show was remnant, too. Surprise of the show. I saw it and I called it as remnant, but I couldn't believe what I was even saying. Yeah, I was like I didn't believe it. It's remnant, but I can't believe we're seeing a sequel to that. And it can't be where I'm going. They didn't show the ads that were yeah, yeah, we were like, nah, there's no, it can't be, but it is. And I dig the fucking art aesthetic. I think it looks fantastic. I love the World War II like gas masks. People got the weird guns, the chainsaw dude. Do you guys see the guy with the big like bicycle? And it's like a chainsaw in the end of a bike. I'm like, fuck, man. If they fix some of their stuff, that they had in the original game that pushed me away, that could be awesome. Ads, they can get rid of the ads for every boss. It'd be great. If I don't have to hear them. Running at you and exploding and shit. You're fighting a moth bosses. I think it looks like fight wise and it does have the offset three guys which sucks because everything I do with Friends is four player or two player. I don't like the three player offset where they're going to have only three people be able to play. In fact, I would say every game I play is four player and it looks like this one's three. That would be my only real complaint. But it looks awesome. Graphically, it looks good. Remnant had a DLC too, didn't it? Didn't remnant have an expansion. Never returned to that game. Never. I only played the yeah, I only played it in the beginning. I never really returned to it. And what sucks is they added the stuff they said was going to be their day one later, which was the ability to so when we first reviewed it and we played it, if you re rolled, if you wanted to reroll anything, you had reroll the entire campaign. Yeah, everything. All your levels everything. And I believe they've added it now to where you can go to a level and just say, I just want to play this level again, reroll this level. And that to me is awesome. Always confused me is what excited me about the trailer before it came out. Was that they were talking about how procedural generation works throughout the story. So your story is going to be different than everybody else's because there's procedural generation involved within the actual narrative. But I never actually got to experience that. I never played it twice, so I don't know. Well, it wasn't there when we played it for review when Reggie Johnny and I played it, you could even reroll, I think. At that time, I think that was even added later. There was a bunch of stuff missing. It just wasn't very, I mean, did we beat that together? Or did I beat the I had to fight the last game reg we just got to the mosque and quit, right? Yeah, the moth guy, I think, is when we quit, were we streaming that? I did beat it with someone else. Did you? With the last bus, the baby thing? Baby thing. No, last boss I thought was a dragon, wasn't it? Was it a kid? Oh man. Yeah, that game. That game's coming gone. But hey, I'm excited. What I was thinking, I was like, okay, this looks super cool, but we know you're gonna sponge, you're gonna start punching trees. Yeah, like I like the world. So I would rather fight and explore the world than chop it down. Like I just, there's something about it. I mean, it's funny you go to a place and you destroy all the land and you're like, you know, I'm the good guy. I'm gonna deforest half of this fucking ache or right here. I think it's maybe like valheim. I don't know if everybody here played it. Yeah, I think everybody's played, man. You could kind of choose if you didn't want to fight at all and just build, you could do that. If you wanted to just fight and not build anything, you could build a hut and everything. I get where I get what you're saying, but nightingale and I don't want nightingale, what I've seen of nightingale, I would not want any element whatsoever of valheim and nightingale. There is a lot of elements. I know. I just, because I'm such a greed fall fan, I'm such a bee RPG fan that to me, nightingale's world looks like a world I want to do those things in. I don't want to, you know what's weird because we never used to chop wood until CPUs and consoles got powerful enough to do it. And it's like, now that they are, it's like they've stepped down one level into the interaction away from like buying and selling it or stealing off somebody now to chopping it and at some point it's like, I don't know, it's like, hey, you're the hero. Okay, cool. Chop some wood, and you're like, I'm the fucking chosen one. Why am I, why am I chopping wood? I don't know. It's called a PC survival game, so I guess I'm wrong. You know? "God, I just saw that now, as you said it, oh, the kylo ren. That would just cut your own arm off the moment you swung it, but whatever. Yeah, I mean, it looks good. It's cool. Yeah. I'm watching that part right there. Man, that looks janky as fuck. Right? Yeah. That does. Animations. We noticed that in the chat. We were like, there's some parts of this that look, but you know what, whatever. And it's him, he seems really excited. It's always cool to see the person doing it. When he came out and he's like, you know, I love him, man. I love him. In the game. Yeah. I didn't know he's seen some more shit, you know, it's a bit. That's what the beard means. The beard is the more evil and terrible shit you've seen in life, the more beard comes out, man. Yeah, 'cause he's got the little scruff. He's got the little $5 scruff going on. And it's him, I've seen him in shameless so often he's such a cherub young looking guy into so to see him see him with a little bit of beard, you're like, yeah, this guy's seen some shit. He's definitely. It'll be cool to see where they tell the story though, because like I said, I don't know how much he fits in the canon. He's like, not in any of the stories. Also, I have to say there was a cool boss scene where he's fighting like a hairy, looks like the creature that Luke almost gets killed by an Empire Strikes Back.

Yeah, but when we saw that, I was convinced it was like a mobile game, low end graphics. It looked pretty bad. There were some sequences in there that didn't look too awful. But overall, it looks like from, I don't know, 5 years ago, or even more. Yeah. Yeah. I really don't know what was going on there, especially with the other fighting game. I know. Tekken. Yeah. Oh man, dude, we were in the chat. And they showed the temporary characters whatever they are. And I was like, okay, I get it. It's like side stuff they're showing or something. There's like chopping fruit or something even. There's like the side games that we used to see in old street fighters. But I think there was wasn't there something about the logo as well back then with Street Fighter that they took the logo and it was just some stock image. They took from someone. Yeah. Yes. Oh, no, no, no, sorry, that was Resident Evil where they copied. I'm pretty sure that. Did they do it with Street Fighter two? Because with Resident Evil, they copied that lady's textures for the 7th later on they redesigned that logo. Gotcha. Because of all the hubbub. But I think now seeing gameplay because it looks very low end. I mean, okay, sorry, we'll go back to what I thought. What were you going to say, Johnny, you go now? I was just going to say the character designs looked really ugly for me. Like, they were all so bulky, and I know this is already how the trend has been with Street Fighter games. But it just looks so over the top. That they all look bloated. Like they're about to pop. I just don't understand the color splatter shit. Dude, oh, yeah. Are you talking about like the special effects when you're punching people and stuff? Weird cartoonish. I mean, it could work in some games. It's just that not look good there, you know? Just did not. I mean, I'm looking at the trailer right now, and I gotta tell you guys, I mean, I don't hate Street Fighter. It looks bad. The background's in particular. Just look, there's nothing like even the lion walking is like a canned animation from unreal or something. It's like nobody, I don't know, man. And that's another thing I noticed tekken looked like the characters were a part of the world. Street Fighter absolutely does not right now. It looks like everything, what's this? The logo. "They didn't show anything new. But it looks like horizon and it's going to be in VR. So VR is hard to teleport to a flat screen. The other stuff I had seen. Yeah, I agree. I saw more going on with the different enemies. Before I thought it was like super on rails, all I saw was on a boat or something, like shooting stuff from a boat, I think. I think and then this one I look like there's more action. I think asa. That's right. I think asa destroyed it for me on the VR podcast because he had reminded me that all the battle when you get in the major battles are buttons, not movement. And I'm just like, it's true. It's like you can't run around the enemies. You actually are controlled by locks you into a circle around the enemies, which just seems so anti VR. We'll just have to see how it plays out plays out. But it looked good. Next up though is probably my favorite game. What did we call it? Fat Doug in the long hallway. We had all kinds of weird names for this. The chunky chunky chubby Charles and the scary game spooky place, post trauma with the best protagonist ever. This guy looks like a gamer, man. He's packing a good 40 50 extra pounds. Usually it's like a super fit guy and some no, I thought it was awesome. That was awesome, man. And when he's running, I was laughing, going, that guy just doesn't look like he wants to run at all. He's like, oh man, seriously. I love it. I think I saw you use a tape to save or whatever. And I'm like, oh yeah, this is Resident Evil one right there, dude. I mean, I'm looking at it right now, graphically, it looks awesome. I love chubby checkers, your main dude. And people think I'm joking. I actually am not. I mean, I'll joke about the way he looks, but I think it's awesome because it's just, it's funny. He looks like a security guard in a movie. Like, you know, he's just like bulletproof vest is above his navel so that if he ever got shot he'd most likely die and he is dirty pants. Work out for him. Yeah. Because it's just him. It looks like he's a concierge or something. And he just got unlucky that in his shift. Supernatural shit happened. What's going on? Well, I was saying he looks like a security guard like secure toss would be written on his shoulder. He'd have the Paul blart. He'd have the fucking segue. But he looks awesome. I just think this game. I mean, and what's weird is all jokes aside, the actual graphics of the world and the puzzles he was doing looked cool. Like they looked like stuff. I was interested in terrible name, by the way. Post trauma is just like post trauma. I still think chubby. I still think chubby chuck and the spooky places would be the best game name ever for this. I thought it was a nobody has the most. Because it's his pity. It's his location. He's work. Could be. I don't know. It could be him just having a nightmare after one too many sub sandwiches. So like he's got his feet up. He's watching his VCR tape of security. He has his Italian sub, it's got a little too much pepper. He falls asleep. This will be the dream and all the weird shit will happen and then I wake up and be like, it was all a dream. Or was it in like the creature will be at the window? "Guys because it was so subdued, so like, brought down to the minimum draw lines, right? Yeah. It was a very minimal. It was very minimal. I almost thought it was. It was like rock art. Yeah, I would agree. But when they started fighting, it worked. There's something about the art and the way it kind of came together in motion, and I think that that's cool. I just realized I've paint all over myself. I realize this is paint on my shirt. I was like, because I've painted my living room. Paint my living room. Yeah, dude, I would agree that that game, they showed it, and then people were like, oh, this is for sure, fucking wolf among us too. This is absolutely for sure that. And I was like, wow, this is rough. The presentation. Although it took me by surprise. When they revealed it was hellboy, it was like, what? Lance Reddick, though, is doing the voice. So like I'm bought in already. Let's go. He tweeted on his Twitter that he was doing the voice and he's my favorite part of Verizon. Yeah, I do wish it was the original actor who did hellboy, but if it's not him, lights ready because probably the only one Lance is probably the only one that I will buy a game. 'cause I was playing quantum break yesterday and I was like, you know what? I mean, I love the game. Better now because patch. But I was like, every time he shows up, it just elevates to a certain point. I don't know, he's just good. He's just awesome. He's one of the most recognizable voices. Well, here's what's weird. You hear him and it's like, it's him. Idris Elba's in another game to talk about. And I gotta tell you, I care nothing about him. Lance Riddick is my like Idris Elba. The moment Lance Riddick's in something. I'm like, yeah. Yeah. And I don't know what it is. So I was excited for hellboy more than anything else. Yeah, it's gonna be awesome, man to see. I think that looks, I think it took us halfway through the trailer, maybe in chat to figure out it was hellboy. Right? Like, it was really hard to tell what was going on. Kick off. It was at first he were looking at the werewolf and you're like, it's a werewolf game, what's going on? And the only way I knew is right before they finally showed him I saw the shadow on his head and there's something about his shaved horns that it's a silhouette that nothing looks like it. It's like iconic. That's everything was so gray. Being read, you're like, oh. That's why I was like, the art style is pretty cool, because the contrast is pretty cool. Yeah. I do think that they minimalize that as much as humanly possible without it just being two colors. It is right to the point. It is, it is. And it's so funny 'cause I like that normally, but this one reminded me of the black and white game made by monolith betrayer. Where it was just almost too much. We'll have to see how this hurts my eyes. Some games feel like they're rough and then you lose what's going on. There's a fidelity and losing what's going on. But the next game horizon call of the mountain VR. Probably the major VR exciting title for PSVR.

It was really, if I was an award winner, I would be beyond infuriated. If I had worked for three or four years and just because some random singer was popular, Diablo got to have her drop in some F bombs on YouTube. I would have been and by the way, I know that person's a good singer. That's awesome. It just doesn't have any place there. It doesn't have there's no entertainment. By the way, I don't know of any gamer who was like the best part of The Game Awards was a song for Diablo. Nobody ever said that. So but the best could be seen somebody thankful for winning an award. I don't know. And I don't give a shit what difficulty Jeff has. It has nothing to do with me. Deliver Game Awards if you're gonna call The Game Awards. Especially for people who didn't win other awards that did get the speech time, you know what I mean? Yeah, some games. Yeah, true. One other awards. The ones that get to go up to stage. But there's nothing that comes on. It makes your joints hurt. Like I still remember getting hit so hard that my elbows hurt. Like it feels, have you ever fallen down hard or been in a car wreck, and there's this, the bones hurt, like you, if you fall in really hard to bend in football and somebody tackles you really hard. There's like this feeling that's passed all of your armor. And it's like, oh, that hurts my body.

"So the universe is a science fiction based property. You can't think of it like a game. It's a large franchise. Part of what we're thinking about last year was myself is, you know, the frustrations we have, we worked with companies like Disney and built out Star Wars properties and things like that. I've done original content my whole career with few exceptions. And Wyatt is really focused on licensed property content. So he's gone to the frustrations. He signed a big license. They give you a logo on story. You can't use the actors. They don't provide any artwork or anything. We were like, what if actually these companies cooperate with you? What if they tried to promote you and tried to help you with your game? So we decided we'd build our own franchise. So we literally have 25 writers right now, building out the story. Just the story alone, 25 writers, which is amazing. We have people from Star Wars from dune from bird box from Clone Wars from right in the dialog to Call of Duty just a phenomenal group of writers. And they're building out a story that is so rich that allows multiple games to be hosted. So we'll do the first three games ourselves, and we'll release an SDK. What's beautiful about what we're doing is when you get an NFT hero, one of our characters, the SDK allows that character to be fully interoperable between all of her games. In fact, your hero is the admission ticket to the various games. So if you want to do the flying game or the 3D shooter game or the fantasy RPG version game, you drop in the heroes that you own. So you don't own those characters for a single game. You own them for the entire suite of uni over games. And so we're hoping by creating millions of dollars worth of heroes and assets in our works and given more free. Literally, everything that we make, whether it's code, art, character, rigging, animations, we give away to the development community.

Predictions vs Reality NFC West, Seattle Seahawks
"I predicted the Seattle Seahawks to go 11:00 and 5 last year. I pretty much nailed it. They went 12 and for the only game I missed was the San Francisco 49ers. I could not predict that the $59 would have a bunch of injuries. I thought that the Seattle Seahawks and the 49ers would split their series each win one game against each other instead Seattle beat the 49ers in both games. So that's literally the one game it's kind of crazy. I was horribly wrong about the Cardinals the Rams the 49ers. I nailed Seattle. My prediction was right there for I'm actually not that interested in Seattle. Like I like I said, I'm actually way more fascinated when I get stuff horribly wrong. I said before the year that Seattle relies too heavily on Russell Wilson, they're starting quarterback 2000sq them from their problems and kind of ended up being true now, they brought in the receiver Phillip Dorsett. They brought in Phillip Dorsett from New England. I was curious to Phillip Dorsett kind of a breakout year and Go from a guy who was infuriating to watch a New England to maybe having a great season playing with Russell Wilson. Unfortunately Phillip Dorsett did not play a single game the poor guy hurt his foot in training camp and by November Phillip told I was getting surgery to remove bone spurs from his foot. I encourage you look up a bone spur does not look like a comfortable thing but credits yet. I Seattle try to get Russell Wilson some Playmakers. I thought we were set to not work out. Josh. Gordon did not work out. They brought in. You know Speedy Josh Gordon. He had a setback in recovery. Seattle had to end up cutting him so long so brought in Greg Olsen. They they got a veteran tight end Greg Olsen and I look I got a lot of respect for Greg Olsen. He's awesome. Last year Greg Olsen. However was underwhelming had 24 catches for 239 yards one touchdown played an only 11 games missed a couple of games with an injury. So in the end Greg Olsen retired, so Phillip Dorsett, Josh Gordon, Greg Olsen, like the move Seattle made to try to support Russell Wilson just didn't work out and that's not bad. It just it didn't it didn't work. Unfortunately right now again, I love Greg Olsen. He's amazing. I cannot wait to hear the guy in the broadcast booth next year. But now the one thing that came out very very well for Seattle on offense was DK Metcalf. G came back up Seattle second-year receiver. Oh my gosh. This guy is a monster. He had 83 catches for 1303 yards 10 touchdowns. I love to see that DK Metcalf is a receiver that is just at the beginning of his eventual domination over the NFL. He already does dominate in some games. So he keeps getting better and better and he keep getting better and better the more we watch him. Now as I look back on Seattle season, one of the things that kind of sticks out to me that's very weird still is I just did not love their 2020 first-round picks Seattle is kind of known for having weird. First round draft picks. They drafted linebacker Jordan Brooks 27th overall. And he was her early on so Jordan books now, I will say I'm not going to trash on Jordan books by the end of the year. He made some plays with doing some good stuff like Jordan Brooks. Very good football player solid right desert looks like a first-round pick the end of the year. But here's what's weird to me is that when the Seattle Seahawks went to a nickel package meaning that you bring in an extra corner or defensive back onto the field to basically stop the past when they win to track a package which is happening more and more in the NFL because teams are throwing more and more than ever before. In a nickel package. Jordan Brooks is on the sidelines not playing maybe part of that is because they were he's a rookie. They're trying to light workload. I don't know but it's kind of weird to draft a first-round pick and then not have the guy on the field. All the time makes me wonder despite Jordan Brooks being a very solid football game. Could they not have got drafted somebody 27th overall last year that could have contributed even more to their team. Just a question. I'm asking cuz I looked at it. I still book how it's bit of an odd pick life.
