The turn and lawn darted into the roof of somebody's house and land landed like the bedroom star and then they interviewed the sheriff or the cops. Or whatever. Out there like yeah. This is the first time this happened. We've seen this for a few of the houses the neighborhood and he points up in the road. Because i guess a lot of people just miss that turn. I'm like okay. Maybe we should get some guardrails reflectors or our speed bumps or some flashing lights or something to catch your attention. Even if you're drinking a little bit like because cars are flying off landing and houses like maybe something should be done but anyway back empire covers because they did say that luckily nobody in the house which injured injured and people in the car were okay. "You know as we'd expected that seems to be these days range of about three hundred miles. There is a single motor rear wheel drive version and dual motor all wheel drive version. And i believe there's more than one battery but in the us. I think we're just going to get the the larger capacity battery. It's a seventy seven point four kilowatt capacity battery. And it's kind of interesting this is fitting into more of the economical. Ev solution so if you're expecting a race car this is this is not going to fit the bill so i think the single motor version. Is i know zero to sixty seven and a half seconds but the dual mode version is somewhere in the five and a half rain show. That will definitely feel feel quick. You know it's about the size of a honda. Crv maybe toyota raft for. You know it'll be interesting to see. I haven't had a chance to try to drive the volkswagen. Id for which is there more economical e. i think. We've got one slated for sometime in june or july at some point when we when we get back from checks. I'll take a look at that but anyway this is kind of interesting. People seem to really love the design. If you're looking for a more economical commuter. ev. The hyundai ionic five could fit the bill. I believe it's gonna start at about forty thousand bucks. Is it for me for you bill. I'm going to say probably probably not but it's it's for other people.

"Is in the books 80 laughs Scott Dixon Boy, What a day, let twice for 26 laps and Davey he's racked up 104 points in the first couple of races and Simon Pagenaud, a spirited drive today. From the 20th starting position. He made a big jump points wise. He's only 29 back. Yeah, which we know when the guy in the lead is one, both of the two races that's hard to hard to. Ah, I argue with how good he really is. How good that team really isn't Simon Padua there the guys behind are not going to give up. But what a great start, But I mean, we're two for two. You know, you can't take anything better than you know. And as we've said, you know, we look at some of the young guns. You know the part of award. Oliver ask you Arenas v K. And then we look at you know Cotter daily and their influence of late and now Santy, No Ferrucci and even Josef Newgarden. Guys like that changing of the guard a bit. I mean, Montoya is no longer in the Siri's. We heard Dave talk about T K in his string, getting broken in one night. This guy is so put those young guys on notice. He's he's not ready to slow down. A topsail is not ready to slow down and and he just continues to to pick off those winds Pick off the poles and No, nothing. How many championships in this guy win? And yeah, Another. Another great thing to Marcus Wells is the new victory Lane, which is pretty cool. There's elevator, taking the cars up to victory. Like Scott Dixon be the first guy Tio experience that as well and they're trying out for the first time right now. Where you go all actually all the way to the top of the podium up there. I think initially this is the way that they had hoped that this would end up But you know, we just recently During the off season. Among the many improvements that we've noticed already, this is one that is certainly noticeable on the other end of things. A tough day for willpower, so dominant qualifying so dominant throughout the course of the weekend at a really fast racecar and When you start talking multiple pit strategies, let's face it. The timing of caution Flags could absolutely ruin your day. Yes, so it definitely helped Scott Dixon's day and it didn't ruin program rails by any stretch. He still got second, so he's going to be happy that but, man, I think it would have been a whole different layout. Potentially if that one caution did not come out. Grant was in the catbird seat at that time. But obviously, Dixon had speed grand great hole, lead twice for 18 laps and finishing runner up, Brad. Telegram. Ray Holling tell you great run today, but I kind of laughed because you said This is this is what we've been dealing with. You have had a lot of races came on the radio and said, I gotta be honest guys. My neck wasn't ready for this for sure. Yeah. Physical. I felt.

I cut you off rudely you were talking about you know like Kristin airy mark Boyle Quinn Buckner we're with those guys be I'm just I'm this way I'm assuming they'll do it remotely I wouldn't I wouldn't think that they're going to bring anybody down there it's not and I know this is an over used term now but not essential to what they're doing yeah that's my expectation certainly you have to be somebody who just almost passed UP there the GM probably can go yeah ratings go down the coaches and so forth but you know they're in the playoffs usually have a lot of hangers on the people who are you know he's going right and I don't think that would be the case you know I think it'll be a minimal group if you do have announcers and they're going to be you know not court side right well removed from the action you know a course lot of announcers are these days anyway removed from the action if you were if you were called by the usually the national TV you guys are right there and right now I'm doing right the case number either so they're going to they're going to keep people as separated as possible not to put on these games right to review they're going to be in Orlando would you say July seventh and then start on the first three something like that were available yeah which you know you that's quite a gap there but that gives them a few weeks there would likely be a couple of exhibition games the B. of many preseason schedule just to kind of get guys back in the groove of playing games again yeah you don't have any serious injury issues during that time but yeah there is you know going to be a training camp there's going to be preseason so it's kind of like when you have a lockout year you're starting the season in January or whatever you're kind of compressed everything and they get it going so yeah teams are to report your land on July seven and start playing on the thirty first one advantages and I think the Pacers benefit from this is that guys can get healthy guys to have like a Malcolm Brogdon get people healthy be ready to go heal some injuries and when you get down there you in in effect unless something happens you would have a team that is at full force once you get ready to go yeah lawyers for Gary will benefit the most from this you know he was the one who was applying when the season ended on there for the patient in on March tenth he had been out a while you know all of the people while he was playing in a one hundred percent yes other guys you know the fed you know the usual Caroline's braced bridges and so forth but of course that applies to every team in the league you know every team will be getting some guys back I think weren't playing when the season was cut off so but certainly for the patient to get brought in back of the huge terrible people healthy will be huge if you can keep them healthy through the training camp and preseason and go with it with the healthy roster than the Pacers I think you have a chance to make some noise you know they're going to be a four five three and you know there's obviously there are teams in that conference better than them they had mail starting with Milwaukee but if another team isn't as healthy as you or they aren't as good a condition as you or arket jesting to this weird situation as well as you do it helps the door for another team this weekend it's an interesting point because you know what it did it's I think it's a situation where a veteran team a group that's been together a core group that's been together for a while benefits from more so maybe than some teams that may have a little more talent because you have a very compressed situation as we all know is you explained and you don't have time to find a rhythm you don't have time to get into into place if you don't have time to understand and know each other even though you played with one of their back then he had a short amount of time you need to get in there and and get off to a great start because if you don't you're in real trouble yeah no question and the Pacers you know there are I will I would consider them to be a relatively new team you know man braucht in right here it's a bonus starting for the first time depot and missed a lot of games last year and this year we're getting used to him so they don't have the natural chemistry that you know say that Pacers team in the nineteen ninety nine lockout year you know the routine that you could just bring back you know this team is on like that but you know other teams have made changes to and they might have more staff risking mistreated the Pacers do but I don't see it being the least maybe anywhere that has unit that's been together right three four years that kind of thing so we'll see but certainly the better the more established chemistry you have that's going to be a plus the spring resumed because even though you do have a mini training camp and preseason your do not have time to really to build on your chemistry at whatever it is at this point mark my teeth with this from Pacers dot com mark you brought up how this impacts not only obviously this season but next season if they're talking about a December or Christmas storage then you know think of the economic repercussions for not having a full season now plus you won't have a good full season next year some pretty serious situation to say the least yeah it is imminent I thank the players obviously less salary no one's going to feel sorry for them the owners have less income whoever owns the facilities the stadiums arenas not as many dates filled construction workers not as many nights to work the bars and restaurants around town the other will be a big crowd downtown as many nights so yeah it'll have a major economic impact no question but still to be better than nothing by a long shot and there will be some things going on at work we're going to have to all get back into what we consider normal society very gradually and this will be part of that but it certainly is not going to be a normal circumstance I mean there's going to be a lot of economic impact felt by a lot of people and everybody just kind of have to suck it up and everybody has to sacrifice he's mark Monteith you want to know what's happening with the Pacers go to Pacers dot com read his great work hall of fame sports writer for a reason also hall of "On hold pending in Indy car they are on hold as well in the real life foot tomorrow they'll be doing a virtual race all online it's called iRacing you might have seen NASCAR do it last weekend Indy car taking a stab at it this weekend tomorrow afternoon four o'clock they'll be at virtual Walken's Glen international all the famous drivers Simon Pagenaud Josef Newgarden will power Alexander Rossi along with guys like James Hinchcliffe and Conor Daly going to be a part of this virtual race along with Robert Wickens who has been out of racing since his crash at Pocono in twenty eighteen AM check this out NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson will also be a part of the Indy car race tomorrow four on indycar's website YouTube and Facebook page the network India sports I'm rob coming welcome back everyone a Bob Lobel looses Indiana four star we've been talking about a lot of different things total produce football and basketball rob Blackburn joins us Robert you with us hello rob hi Bob how you doing rob good to hear yeah large shareholders are you missed you I've me you know what right this is a time of year we would have been talking about spring football and how good the Boilermakers are going to be and how they're going to bounce back after the disappointing year they had and who's taken over the quarterback spot all these you know what and I've missed our conversations well a miniscule to those preparing practices those yeah course last couple of years I haven't been able to get to a lot of because three basketballs making deep runs in the tournament but yeah it's crazy to think that next next Saturday a week from a week from this Saturday would have been a pretty spring game I was on the schedule for for next Saturday so yeah it does seem pretty crazy to think that that's not gonna happen now yeah you know what everybody is in a different situation obviously than usual no one you know no one's in the weight room no one is practicing no one's doing this no one's doing that and I would think inferior team like Purdue EA it's especially critical for you to get more time more reps and things because you have a whole lot to prove coming up in this next season yeah and you also a portion of the problem with trying to find a starting quarterback which we don't yeah pretty big deal in eight no Connell and and Jack Palmer worked with you guys at least in the handful practices that precluded out before the before was all shut down those repairs were taken out of the reps with the first team and they were splitting reps and and coach Jeff Bauman and very very open and honest about the fact that we were going to have both of those guys equal opportunities with the first team or some kind of shake itself out here work itself out not only through spring ball but certainly through the summer the summer training camp as well so look at every team certainly has a master's degree from a football standpoint it has some different areas of concern that you have to say they don't get the spring practices are are gonna be this will make life a little tougher on them welcome to making those type of decisions the pretty obvious use got a huge decision to make a quarterback in the missing these last six practices are thrown in not in the spring game but that certainly doesn't help help them find the answer didn't you like though how o'connell and equity themself at various times when he had the opportunity last year yeah like two doubles in the bottom number one the sector even as a walk on he was he was ready to go when his name right so so often those guys just trying to get buried as the scout team quarterback in and everything much about ever getting into a real game of making a difference for but obviously when his number was called he was ready to go and he did help the team win a couple games in there and look at a multi use long term answer maybe he is maybe he isn't but the fact that he was able to respond the way you create even again the crew lost and he was really kind of hard to put laid at the feet of the quarterback play because he was really good in the games but they did not win so hello the airlock needed at any party was desperate yeah what is your because of the injuries so the fact that you do have a walk on and was prepared and ready and certainly look more than capable I mean that that ended up being a real blessing for blue I think you did as I think there's no question that it did you notice that classic baptism under fire they could just never you know it's one of those years they were optimistic that gone of the bowls pretty well chronicled in that that that team just never found rhythm never you know losing only losing that heartbreaker to Minnesota they could just never find their footing my misstating this no room in the Minnesota game is where it starts and stops I mean at the unit you think about not only did you lose a game that you lost your two most important players on offense on the same play I mean maybe they mean now where how where is that you lose your quarterback and you lose Rondale Moore on the same play for yeah for one guy separates our shoulders down for the year round bale injures the same strain and he's done for the year that's when you know you know what that's as a coach that's when you just walk in and without telling your staff for your players you go home and tell your wife the the football gods are mad at me they just they just took my season from me this year yes this is about our year and you look back at that and you think all my gosh well what could have been a look I'm not I'm not trying to sit here and then convince anyone the party was going to be in detention at them they were not but they certainly will be able to release them in the postseason their way to a ball game so yeah that's the game the Minnesota game mentally there's any question that the game there all the everything turned south on through and course union also lost your most recent employer director of all things during practice to an ACL as well three games into the season so yeah that's just what you said earlier that will solve all god just had it in the reason so okay the years overlooks now we want to move on to the next season and unfortunately we're kind of on hold there so I don't know what's going right the number one question is how's run deal white yeah he's okay and I think we we we have something to be optimistic about that Rundell are really good spring the limited opportunities we had he was injured but it was a finger injury of all things the play okay ball Ford sales spring ball for practices but he played all spring ball with it with a broken finger so that that's not all bad either so if we catch the ball just fine and and still able to outrun everyone else on the field just far I think if you're if you're small you're least amount the release concerned injury wise the phone bills appropriate changes in pretty good shape but yes use back healed and ready to go we're talking with rob Blackman from the Purdue athletic and radio network do football obviously so going into it what you were able to gather in those four practices the question mark obviously at quarterback you there are a price break we think there are questions on both sides of the football with what they did last year yeah and keep in mind Purdue now has a new teachers in coordinating switching to a three forty cents as opposed to the four three which Purdue had been playing since Jeff Bauman down there so that there's certainly been some some changes there with coach jako losers from a with Dick Cheney was the defensive coordinator Nebraska you during the Jim crow era so you know he's not that far removed from being a big check guy also coached UConn is it coach was a defensive coordinator the coordinator Notre Dame so he certainly has an impressive resume but it is a brand new look in the sense because you're bringing up three four supposed to afford three Silverado things that you know it's a big learning curve and quite frankly we kept a lot of coaches on the defensive side of the football you know normally bring in a new coordinator you you change your position is to the one that's out there that's not what happened will produce we basically kept outside of one guy the entire staff on defense so now you're decent some cultures are also learning this new surroundings well so it's brand new to everyone players and coaches on the defensive side so yeah there's a lot of questions to be answered there yep that's that's obvious in again you know you're looking at you know some again just from a football standpoint and we'll do it falls on a what's happened here with our with our situation no Bruce got a brand new defense attorney implement and it's kind of hard to implement right now when you don't have to stay there so yeah that's the most important problems well rob Blackman with this rob can you hang on here through this scoreboard update your your absolute come back and and talk more Purdue football and basketball reminder Twitter at I. N. D. sports talk hashtag I S. "You're putting yourself at risk of injury or death and twenty seventeen more than ten thousand unbuckled people killed in crashes and fifty one percent of the people killed in crashes were not wearing seat belt hoof no matter what kind of vehicle you drive, your seatbelt is the best defense, even in the backseat cluding taxis, ridesharing services, whatever, just where the. Yeah. Right. When you're out of control. You're not the one driving, you know, who knows I told you like, I, I was in the car with the with the driver or lift or whichever one. It was and that guys like the safest driver out there, boom hit the car hit the car. Them. But also check it out. It cops on a lookout as well and the writing tickets. So why risk it click it or ticket do that? All right. Aren't running out of time. Then we got the guys coming into the studio. So we're going to wrap things up. But Bill, congratulations on the new truck, I'm sure we're gonna be talking about it for a long time and all the cool things doing with it. You get these projects, you like all right? I'm ready to go. I wanna get it done. I wanna bring event and you're like, yeah, but does the engine fit, and what do we need to take some time to do? Oh, Oh, yeah. yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We, we haven't mentioned that this doesn't run and. The thing weighs like six times as much as normal vehicle. And yeah, it's it's gonna be a pain in the ass. You know, look at the bright side of the bills, right when we had paint them, and then it just takes a little bit of time for that to wear off and the reality set it. Yeah. Well, that's why you gotta have multiple projects going on at once. You have to start a project to get your mind off of the other. Guess that's all I've done right on. All right, guys. "And, and it when you open it up it sounds good. And the when we drove was orange, and it had a navy blue and black interior, and I'd sounds weird on when you say it out loud, but you get a new see it works the orange and the blue works. It's so good. Anyway, it was such a fun car to drive and that will be going back today after I record this. Unfortunately, I have to give that car back. But I tell you, they, they didn't sell that many SX is. And I don't have all the, the numbers on it. But it was something like, I don't know a hundred or something hundred seven last year, the year before was like five hundred and something so it's a good car. It seems to be pretty good quality. And I would say Acuras ready the deal. So if you wanna make. And again, like we, we say this all the time and on all of these shows is like. Does a guy like you Bill fit into a car like this? I don't know the only way you can do is just get in there and try it. So it's, it's I understand the difficulties of, of Porsche's more room. I bet the Porsche does have more room. But that's that's kind of the thing you have to. I think I think the door on the, the couple of things that were bugging me as one there's no lane departure warning the little lights in the mirrors and stuff. And I just feel like on a car this new in this expensive. Why doesn't it half that and half the time that I was driving? I couldn't really see the infotainment screen with my polarized sunglasses on now which is interesting as I switched to a different pair of sunglasses which, I believe, also polarize at did work. So I think it's kinda hit or miss depending on what you're what kind of sunglasses you're wearing, but against like, why where are we getting the technology from that the polarized lenses are not working in brand new cars? If this was a fifteen year old BMW, and we all know that half the radio or whatever you can't see it with Polaroid's lenses like it's completely black in the Bellevue, like you can't see anything at all. This was kind of, like. Like I could see part of the screen. But the angle, I was on it. You know, if the screen was facing me and I was head on. I can see it. But if I'm sitting in the driver's seat, and I'm listening for the navigation or change in the radio station was weird. Couldn't see it, but. A little gripes all it had to do is change sunglasses and the problem solve, but I did end up driving for, like four days going. I can't see anything I keep taking my sunglasses off all the directions on, on the apple carplay itself. But. Polarized sunglasses. Man, I remember when we had to adapt around cars, and it was good enough. Yeah. Now, the current, we had to buy a car that adapts around. While you shit. I'm going to the next car. Which sunglasses wearing. Pick the car based on which pair of sunglasses wearing so you get they should sell, you an NSF with NSF sunglasses and problems off. But. Kind of like the. What is it the? Things that you put on virtual reality. Oh, yeah. Like the goggles Oculus or something like those there you go. Yeah. All right. Before we guys before we wrap up, we'll tell you about safety. Tell you a little bit more about the click it or ticket. You might be thinking to yourself. Hey, I'm in a rush. Or maybe it's just to comparable the where. Sometimes you just forget. We'll listen. There's no excuse for not buckling up..

"He's taking on more of the daily roles of creative director of Acuras been there forever front of the show and, and, and our other podcasts shifting steer and stuff like that. So he's, he's such a good guy. And we at an event we were in Monterey last year at the event, Chris was with us. We went to the accurate eventual played that event. Yeah. She was they had a jewel play. And it was great and they unveiled this car, and I remember standing there next Dave Merican the crowd and going. Hey, this is great. I, I love the orange. I know you're fan of it. And, and. I was like, what do you call it? Dave, Merrick orange. Okay. After a few cocktails, we were having to that, just stock for basically the next year and like, like it's Dave miracle Orage of which is a, which is great. So I've been out there driving this car. I absolutely love it. And the way this car is meant to sit in the segment. They accurate even sent me a comparison of the versus an Audi r eight v ten a Porsche nine eleven turbo and McLaren five seventy s and the, the NSS is interesting, it the base price is a hundred and fifty seven thousand five hundred so one fifty seven five, the Audi's, one, sixty four nine the turbos one, sixty one eight the McLarens one eight. So this is the least expensive of these, I don't know entry level mid priced. I guess supercars the zero to sixty on the. Is two point nine seconds, the Audi's three point five nine eleven turbos two point nine and the McLarens three point one. So it's it ties is the fastest with the nine eleven turbo. And with a suspension upgrades. The, the cornering jeez, which I thought were interesting are one point zero eight for the NSF ex it's point nine eight. For the Acura, one point zero five for both the nine eleven turbo in the McLaren and so on a sex edges it out. Now, here's the kicker, and I posted some of this stuff up there. And somebody commented and said. Who would buy an NSF over a nine eleven turbo? There's two thoughts on that one. I'm a huge nine eleven turbofan. One of the coolest cars I drove excuse me was a nine eleven turbo s and as much as I love the nine eleven turbo. And there's probably plenty of them out there used that you can buy with very low mile. So let's take that off the table. If you're just going new Thanou the nine eleven's, Porsche has a very Alicarte style of selling you car. So in the base price of that cars, one, sixty one eight good luck. Good luck getting it with a stereo and floor. Mats for one sixty one eight. I like I said, I'm a huge fan but realistically, it's more expensive. And now, the as the NS X comes in at one fifty seven, there is sort of an, an anad, ver- ties d- manufacturer discount that is from now until I believe March of next year..

"If you want some extra money in your pocket, this is the most rewarding to do you can do today to check out geiko dot com. All right. So we told you a little about the racing stuff the truck stuff and I wanna tell you guys a little bit about the, the accurate and a sex. I've been driving the new accurate and a sex, and I say, new because there was some revisions done for twenty nineteen which. I like this car. This car is so good. I just think it's a good every day, kind of drive it supercar granted, if you can fit it. And you, you know, you're looking for a sports car, and they made some they made some revisions to this to this car for, for this year, which are interesting. So the power plants all the same. It's five hundred seventy three horsepower between between the five seventy three horsepower between the gas engine and the electric Motors. It's got a nine speed dual clutch transmission in it. And the performance on this thing is fantastic. So what they did was is the in the in the rear the, the rear hubs or a little bit stronger roughly six percent, stronger stabiliser bar, basic sway bar back, there is, is nineteen percent stiffer, the totaling bushings are stiffer by about twenty percent and the front stabiliser bars. Twenty six percent stiffer, working with continental for their sport. Contact six tires a much grippier tire..

"What some of the obstacles are like we were talking to. We were talking to you, and you were talking to warm in about, you know, footing fitting that other engine in the truck, and it wasn't fit in. They gotta move it forward move back or not your frame, and, and those obstacles like that's the kind of stuff we're gonna have to figure out of the here about with this project because I want to say it's like a small six cylinder Cummings engine. Maybe it's not even Cummings engine because I think it's gas or anything diesel in, in, in, in this thing original. And it was a terrible engine that was in there. And, and you're putting in the big crate engine. So it's going to be, it's going to be interesting to see how that how that plays out. But man, that's an exciting projects going to be fun. Being different man, and I'm all about different. I'm all about standing out. I mean, I don't do it to get attention. I do it just to be. Dude. I like being different. I mean these cool. Big bad ass cars. That's the cool thing about the businesses that you can grab a pallet and you can turn it into whatever kind of work of art that you deem pretty in your own eyes. And I'm wanted functional is gotta be bad ass. It's obviously gotta fit a certain amount of criteria. But I think with the hey it was Memorial Day weekend. And i'm. Throughout to another another military vehicle. My stable right now, the end result isn't meant to look like a military vehicle. Right. It's, it's gonna look more like no. The result will be a blend of all of the above. It's gonna be a military military. It's going to be a middle. It will definitely stand out as a military vehicle, but it'll be refined. It'll be streamlined. And it's gonna be purely bad ass to be the same as that as that concept vehicle, but my interpretation of it. Right. Right. Yeah. It's going to be bad ass guy. Right on. Well, congratulations, on your purchase, and I'm gonna tell you what you need to go with that. You're gonna eat some gyco, some canco insurance. And if you think about this guy's everybody's got a to do list drop off your dry, cleaning pick-up, some milk. And now you can add save hundreds of dollars on car insurance to that list. And you don't have to drop off pickup anything. Just.

And you said got a new truck. Like, all right. Then I saw it on your. I saw it on your Instagram this morning, guy should go check that out Goldberg Goldberg nine five Goldberg's garage on Instagram and it's new to you, but it's not exactly new. Is it before we get into it? When you think of video, they're fantastic. And. Your car looks great. And then they brought out another car. So the hooligan guides they, they said they teamed up with. Speed color. Vol make very long story short. Yeah. Feed core. Dave and the guys brought up brought my car out there. They also delivered another customers car. It was a twelve hundred horsepower, all carbon fiber, demon that they had done. They caged it. They put another. I think they upgraded the super charger, put a Whipple super charger on this. It was pumping out twelve on horsepower, son. Some music producers it was bought under his record label. I think and some big car guy really nice guy, quite obviously, because he might have been unbeknownst to him that I was going to do what I did. But, but let's just say that, you know, I didn't wanna destroy my car because just got it and they gave me a quote unquote, surrogate to go out and have a little bit of fun of and man, it was a blast. And it went live yesterday on who against video channel, and I hadn't seen until that. It's pretty cool man. It was pretty cool. I can't wait to take one of my one of mine out there that I'm willing to flog, but it was fun. Man. I mean that thing is. So Dr I took it around the block twelve hundred horsepower with upgraded Whipple super charger on it and, and runs like a hundred and eighty degrees. Things. Just dot file is can be until you hit the hit the throttle. But it was it was it was a great time but twelve hundred horsepower. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's so. Yeah. I mean, I do you and I got so much stuff to talk about every, every little subject, broaches another conversation. But we're on this car, and we stayed is that we weren't going to be, or none of our cars. We're going to be at the H I reopen houses coming weekend. Right. I have to retract that because Dave from speed core has requested my car being there while I'm out of town this weekend because from HR as open house on Saturday and Sunday. It's being put back on a truck, and it's going back to his constant to get a full cage. Put in it, and an upgraded Whipple speaker charger on it. So when I get it back,.

"Who was the, the driver years ago that, unfortunately Justin Wilson twenty fifteen just Wilson draw died because of a piece of debris, flew and hit him in the helmet. And when you're driving two hundred miles an hour, anything hitting you in the helmet is disastrous. And this is the next level of protecting the driver, so kudos to them for, for getting that done and tested. I think it was the red bowl team that was. I think it was red bowls like advanced technologies group that was doing a lot of development on this, and it looks cool. It looks interesting. I, I think. I think there's going to be more testing. Because once you put something like that, like a windscreen on there. You know, you saw these guys at the Indy race every little thing they do they come in. Like at a couple of turns, or move a couple of terms to the wing. I'm feeling a little bit here a little bit in the tire like there's so much feedback from the drivers. Now that once you add a windscreen, it's going to potentially change the airline Emmys completely. And what the drivers sensations are what they see. And what they hear what they feel. So there's going to be a little bit of a learning curve for all of that. But if it keeps them keeps them safer. I'm all for it, and it seems like all the drivers are in there like, yeah, let's do it. Pretty neat stuff. And it looks kind of bad assets. They look like fighter jets out there. Now. Hey, man. You know I if it's about safety, then I'm all for it. It's doesn't hinder. Ability to do what they do. And even if it does a tiny bit if it provides safety and. I'm getting old for me to make. On. All right. So, yeah. You, you did a little shopping this weekend. "Names blanket me, but they were commenting about, like, oh, I know him. He was a spotter from me the best in the business and the two guys, they're great. And these guys are calm the whole time and they're like go go, go low, accelerate your your through your through your throat because they can't see just smoke. Right at the spotters com- comedians. Like you're good. You're good. You're good. Just go low go low, you're going to go around and it's just like what? At that point watching something. And I know it's just a split second, where you basically can't see you just have to go by what these guys are saying, but they're also two hundred miles an hour going through this thing. I mean you. That's like the guys responsibility, the Packers shoot, you know. Pretty much get their life your life. Right. What an exciting race of so glad for Simon it's his first five hundred win. He gets a nice little two point six six something million dollar bonus. Check. He's just seems like he's having the best time. And why wouldn't he said, three hundred thousand people there the first time? I think it's a hundred years since the Frenchman even qualified on the pole and I don't know. It's like we know a few of the drivers out there had a chance to have them on the show over the years and talk to them, like we said, Sebastian board day Graham Ray hall, Simon passionate a couple of the other guys. And. I've only had the best experiences with all those guys. But, but Simon came into the studio years ago, and we sort of be chatted a bed and became friends, and oil and really get to see each other kind of like a Long Beach. But we always connect there, and, and he's, and he's always fantastic. So I'm hoping we can get some time in the schedule to have him. Call into one of the car cast shows here recorded in an interview with him at some point in edited in. It'd be great, but I think also we're gonna have some of the drivers in town. I wanna say the SP awards are like June or July, maybe July, and they're going to be in town that we already reached out to Indy and said, well, we're going to have some people there Espy's, and that's in California, so why not have some people come by the studio. So we'll we'll figure that out as well. But it was great. And then you know you start seeing that Indy race and. And you see some of these accidents and then you flip over to afla and you see what's going on over there. And you see how these cars are getting so complex and so sophisticated and what you do for safety, and it's been a long time in development development few years now and IndyCar as I guess, basically Greenland or approve the aero screen, it's a cockpit cockpit protection. So they're going to have it's, it's going to be an open cockpit up the top. But it's going to have more of a screen. I say screen, but it's like a windshield pay polycarbonate load. My questions is it going to be like a speed racer kinda of wins you I mean I don't know what really the likening, too, but. It is kind of that. So it's, it's a, it's a polycarbonate, it's curved around, like almost like an aerospace cockpit like like a fighter jet. It's very much a fighter jet feel to it and I believe, the mounting points are going to be, like, like a three point titanium structure, so it'll, it'll be very rigid. Very strong very lightweight. And it sort of the next step into into keeping these drivers keeping these drivers safe. Who was the, the driver years ago that, unfortunately Justin Wilson twenty fifteen just Wilson draw died because of a piece.
