"Issue in terms of Sort of your rice craft in your experience full those younger drivers in making that step up into one so by the top you know. They're on the grid. They've already had a couple of days. A mock rice had a crack at they. Kind of know what what they giving themselves info and. I don't think that's a bad thing. This i and just is the sort of pull around. And and so. It's not just the you the same simul time old the whole time. If if there's if we're kind of emitting the sprint rice doesn't matter it's just the for entertainment. Why don't we just add a little bit more purpose to it and play a young kid. Some of the forty teams Sai what have we used to have. Dropped points rules which were annoying. And i didn't understand him but why not have a system whereby we've talked about this before having way way you've got especially now that we've got twenty three rice. We're talking about the counter and the second twenty three races a year. Why can't your drive is only do eighteen races let site and you've got to choose the minute vaunts. So you're gonna you're gonna put lewis. Hamilton silverton maxine netherlands and nina. Oh you're you be grace's it can be drivers probably yup. But that way you can sorta strategically plan where you want your best drivers and then the other essentially have to have a team of three drivers than in the other races. You've got probably you're young driver reserve driver whoever needs and not also because that also feels the gap idea. Some motor g may for example. Have a wild card rider. Back kind of feels that gap a little bit dozen. Why not institute away without having third cars. Which i think is more difficult more expensive certainly and without bringing new teams. Because it just doesn't seem to be any the only want to buy tames these. These are good wide wide. Not drive pool adds spice doesn't interest driving market as well because instead of trying to find seats for twenty drivers you've got to find them for essentially thirty drivers that could be the despise. Yes sir point but immediately you could think of like grown praise. Imagine being hungarian pray for example and Imagine if ob- mercedes. I've dropped lewis hamilton for this random and then bringing nick differ a little bit al d. e. v. Feel little bit gpd that bringing like okay. So you bringing. Everyone's just bringing the drivers for for this break. And we're paying an absolutely premium for the privilege the hosted so there's probably commercial reasons there. That's why the rices is a good way to sort of experiments with 'cause if it doesn't matter if it's really there for entertainment then that's fine just embrace it. I'm very pleased to interrupt this podcast for just a moment to tell you that today's episode has they have painful months now brought to you by our friends. At.

But i'm excited to go back outside of any colorado highlights to share with the family. My god so many so a little injured right. what's going on. I have a have a heel. Spur that i just got an x ray for if it's not one thing it's another but you know that's you know anyone who is an athlete or in sports. That's just kind of a reality so some working on that but So i did a little bit of trail running out in colorado. I was supposed to lead out the early starters for the trans rockies. Six day stage race. So i didn't get to do that but i get that to announce for the race and selling kind of b. m. c. So that was really really fun. I got to crack jokes about people and then I did get to do a little bit of running and boulder and golden out in silverton. It's a lot of ravel writing. It was actually really fantastic. I also crude my own running coach at hard rock so it was amazing to be in a community of trail runners. Who were they just wanted to do. Hard things and tester bodies and not have all the hullabaloo and stuff about them and it was. It was an incredible experience. I wanna do over and over again. But just crewing and to seeing the grit of people and seeing them like work through really really low points and and feed them and massage their fee and so they go. That was like really cool and that that was a part of of running that i hadn't hadn't yet done and so anyway i can go on and on and i love the i feel like i feel like i some you just described perhaps their own version of personal hell with the massaging and the feet..

"If they work at all if it works mine has worked forever and now all of a sudden they're like no none of us so anyway Doing that It could be session in the closet with the door shut and using like concentrates or something. That isn't like smoke. Sometimes it is smoke. And i'm easing bluefin air filter and then we have this air filter in our actual room and then we have a ceiling fan. You know doing whatever you gotta do to make sure you get your can of joints in your system if that is what you need. Which definitely is for me. Always thinking about like when is the most efficient when it makes sense for your schedule but also like when does your body benefit the most from session so for me. It's absolutely late morning Sometimes to early morning And not too much and then a bigger one like in the after noon and then my evening one sometimes. I don't even care do that. It's really the afternoon. That's the big one that it's like the most beneficial because that's what i'm really dragging and i start to kind of feel depressed and tired just like naturally and so. It's like a nice app lifter before dinner. Braille that's my favorite time. I like that All right next tip. Megan out up. Sorry make an outdoor or summertime. Stash that holds. Everything safely discreetly. Literally do this. I keep a full-size stash. Logics silverton case on my desk. It's my daily. We'd full grinder portable ashtray with a cover lighter. Small glass piece one hitter any low dose edibles. I might have don't have any right now. Because i ate them all a the other day on our date charged dry or vape. So it's just easy right there A card or a wax pen a spoof e it all fits in that thing and it can go from my office right outside to the back yard. Everything is in one spot including that ashtray including the glass. Peace and kids can't see what's inside it is small it locks. It is a one hundred percent. What every parent needs in the summertime we sell the mid sized ones on fire company dot com and those are perfect actually one of our listeners. A dm to me and let me know that. She uses the grabs milk carton in errors and it fits perfectly in her happy flour company. One i use like the same. A similar grabs piece in mine. And i use it specifically because it fits in there when you find a little glass piece that fits in your keys. Your oh my god. It's summertime he's It's a game changer. Just having it in there because then it's like you don't even have like a log on the table like enjoy on the table. It's like it's all in your case all of the cases like just naturally shot so there you go. I like that. I have one news on my desk right now. See see i keep it on my desk. Because that's like when everybody's upstairs doing their own thing for hours. Like i can sit there and vape on a close it. How many knows what else you got. How are they gonna now While it's kind of related but have that glass pace. That isn't showy that's easy to stash And that's your summer piece. I have a few. I have that one that fits in my stash objects and then. I have a small bong that fits in my desk cabinet. Basically and sow i. It's very easy for me to get. It's very discreet. I sat it on a table. It's not super showy That cutting and think it's about like discreet uses about different things do not. Lots of parents aren't really hiding their us. They're just like trying to not have it like super showy or glorified so much just like this is my thing is really of no concern of yours and it's over here and you're over there go that don't let me Of like i had a lot of a lot of your colorful playful empire glassworks pieces. And i don't keep any of them owl like i don't ever use that as like my daily piece of kids because that's something that anybody would look at me like so beautiful or like cool again and it looks like a drink filled with fruit so cool and it's made out of glass like what that's my mom. Actually look don't use is to preserve that for when it's like i'm uncomfortable using it But yeah finding that one glass peace very important. Keep your glass clean. Because i swear. A dirty box was worse when it's hot and it looks horrible. When it's bright and sunny and beautiful outside reservoir now every time store it clean keep it clean regularly at ice and cold water On the web at ice cold water and then it's time to smoke mice rates us. I mean i really. Sometimes it's like ritualistic and you. Just forget to like clinton things in is pleasurable xueqian. But when you have the opportunity especially if you'd like made the schedule to like this is what i'm going to get high in. Can't wait take the time to make sure your sash is the best clean up clean piece. it's healthier for you. You know all right anyway When it feels to smoke try a smokeless method at ables. Tinctures dry or vaping. They are also much healthier than smoking. They allow you to experience a broader range after being cannabinoid 's from your plant medicine am not knocking smoking but having a diverse diversified approach tear consumption is always advice to help your tolerance. It's good on her lungs. There's nothing wrong with switching to different types and sometimes especially in the summer kids are home all the time. You guys are like doing stuff like some. You just can't be smoking on stuff sometimes. So it's nice to have options like commercial edibles when they're available to you or like low dose edibles that you made for yourself for whatever joe they are the g. made for yourself They can really be a lifesaver in the summertime. Are you okay over there. And my doing our and you're doing great. I'm watching you. Do you want to add anything at all. We have interject. If you have any thoughts. The group is only able to uncover one skier who escaped with minor injuries. This is the state's deadliest avalanche since 2013 when the slide killed five snowboarders. "Counting on the Great American Day before Reds baseball commences tomorrow first pitch at 6 10 Is that Greg Jimmy 6 10 on Friday night, Big pre game show elements of the Holy Grail. The rest of us will be here getting you ready for Reds baseball last year old game in baseball land was around October 1st of last year is really gonna happen. And we're going to cover it all day long first pitch about 6 10 but until then, there's even bigger things happening in Columbus. There was a report this morning out of Cleveland Plain dealer that Larry Householder, a good friend of Scott's. Sloane is not going to resign and he's going to go down with the ship. Columbus Dispatch. I've spoken to. Ah, a few Republican lawmakers. Have refused to come on with me. I don't know why. But state representative Bridget Kelly is a great representative in the State House in Columbus, representing parts of Cincinnati. And nor would the gem of the Highlands Amberleigh Village. The home of Chuck came mind. Fairfax, Silverton, ST Bernard and more. And Bridget Kelly. I think for the first time, Welcome to the Bill Cunningham showed. Bridget, How are you? Unwell. Thanks again for having me representative Kelly. Is it fair to say that these air difficulty in interesting times? But for those millions of fans listening, let's go back in time a little bit, get a little bit of history. Because, as I understand it, Larry Householder was elected speaker a couple of years ago, mainly with Democratic votes, which is extremely unusual. The Republicans and Columbia's My math might be a little bit off. Ah, Republicans have about 60 61 seats. You Democrats have about 39 seats. Whoever the Republicans want, they And elect the speaker on DH. He was elected mainly with Democratic votes. Can you explain how that happened? Well. There was a lot of turmoil in the house over the past two general assemblies to speakers ago that speaker actually resigned under investigation by the FBI. Then there was an interim speaker. But a lot of infighting over that. Then, in January 2019 the House did elect Larry Householder speaker, um with the help of the Democrats. Is it true that about 26 Democrats voter with a minority of Republicans to make him speaker? Why did that happen? Why did I understand you did not vote for him. But 26 Democrats of the Silk of the 39 the majority of Democrats voted for a Republican. Why I was not among the Democrats voted for Larry Householder, but in my understanding ah lot of those people perceived him as a cz abetter choice of the two for a myriad of reasons. Including his commitment to not come after the organized labor community in the state of Ohio, which I mean is something that is incredibly important to me. I've been again you member for over a decade. I work for a union but in the end did not cast my vote for a householder speaker on deep on deep background. I won't mention names. Certain Republican representatives told me That the majority of the Republicans in the House did not want Larry because they thought he was dirty. They thought he was corrupt and the Republicans didn't do it. So Larry, being in a great politician went to Democrats and said This is on deep background from the Republicans. I spoke with it. This is them saying this not me. But the Republicans told me that he went to the Democrats to become speaker because he promised not to bring up right to work, which is a union busting tactic used. In order to break up labor unions. Is that your understanding? That is my understanding? And you know, I mean, right work is something that's that's bad for everybody has bad for unions of the middle class families, you know, doesn't do anything to help people to have a better life. I mean, prior to him becoming the speaker. I mean, we had to do 10 rounds of voting in the last General assembly for an intern speaker And then that kind of chaos just continued on to this General Assembly's in 2019 is in is anyone that had a conversation with him on the telephone or in person? Striking deals. You're not one of them. A little concern right now is to what they said on tape. I couldn't tell you that. I couldn't tell you if you know this is just that It's a sad situation for state on birth. I started being really sad. But then I just got really angry because you know, it really is a violation of the public trust. People should be able to believe that her in public service are working hard for them every single day and again. It's The rate payers and the tax payers who are really getting squeezed because nonsense and conduct like this. Let's go in a little deeper because first energy is kind of the beginning of all of this, in first energy had to nuclear power plants in northern Ohio, one near Toledo, where I went to law school and Cleveland that were in some level of disrepair. And so allegedly, they struck a deal with Larry Householder on House Bill six in order for the rate payers to start paying about 85 cents a month starting in January, which you generate literally tens of millions of dollars in order to fix those nuclear power plants, but also to get rid of clean energy, which would be a job killer for some in exchange for first energy, providing literally Tens of millions of dollars into a C four, which is a dark entity to run against opponents that Larry Householder didn't like. So kind of explained the deal. If you can on first energy and why that's corrupt and likely First energy officials are going to get indicted. At some point, I would think, but explain the first Energy House Bill six deal and a capsule if you can Well. The idea of how still six was there was a rescue for those two power plants in northern Ohio and then went on to include a coal plant. In South East Indiana. It rolled back to renewable energy standards. And folks always said, You know, this is all about jobs..

Palestinians trapped in coercive environment, says UN rights official

"This is loose. Graffiti of UN news, many Palestinians, living under his rarely occupation suffer from a course of environment were settlements expansion has made people's lives. So unbearable that they feel pressured to move according to a top u n official there James Heenan, head of the UN human rights office in the occupied Palestinian territory said that permits for building in the West Bank were almost non-existent now for Palestinians, speaking to Reema Bauza of UN news in Jerusalem. Mr. Heenan explains the challenges Palestinians routinely face today in the West Bank and east Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip was buying and then he's truce Lamon Gaza will have their own different types of human rights challenges. But some of the challenges of calling across the whole area. One is use of force another is freedom of movement. Another is the way in which space society and human rights defenders dramatically, and if we talked specifically about Gaza, what are the issues that were you the most widely the buzz is really hope for the population Gazans feel and are under pressure from old photos at the moment, they are suffering from an eleven year blockade and closures imposed by Israel. They suffering essentially also under the split between the West Bank and Gaza, the political split and the the factor thirties in Gaza, Mike loss, very hard for a number of people, including human rights defenders for us. The concern for Gaza is all about. Allowing people to have an adequate standard of living, which is a human rod under the ICCPR international could covenant uncivil political rights and towards that end. The UN is working tool to humanitarian response to what's going on in Gaza. Ultimately, of course, it's a political problem humanitarian, what are the other human rights challenges specific to the West Bank and east Jerusalem at the moment, the biggest human rods challenges are generated by settlements the expansion of settlements. And we produced two reports a year on this. In and of itself creates a number of human rights violations. So for example, severance themselves are violations of international, we know that. But when you establish a settlement in areas c in the West Bank, he generally brings populations into proximity brings a settlers into proximity with the local Palestinians, and we know that that proximity generates things like settle of items the take over of land blocking the freedom of movement. The Palestinians nearby things like the blocking of access to services for Palestinians nearby. So the settlement enterprises people call it doesn't just have a problem with the Silverton themselves, but the impact on human rights. The biggest thing that's happening. Most recently is what we call the environment where you have a desire to move, Tulsa and communities for the purposes of settlement expansion or creation. What's happened at the long pass? I communities would have just been forcibly moved. Now. What's happening is those communities are put on the enormous pressure. So feel I have no choice but to move, and that's what we call. The course environment. This comes from the jury's prudence of you hate Trump troubles on the former Yugoslavia this idea that you can make lifestyle bearable for people through combination factors. They feel they have to. So for example, if you have a community near settlement sky to expand they can be subject to settle labontes. They can be subject to demolitions. So they cannot build in the West Bank term ability in the West Bank. But I'll sit ins are almost nonexistent. So any expansion they come undertake the young people get married. They can't start the village because there's no it to live. They can't expect access to services are blocked a firing zone can be declared by military nearby, which will mean that they can't access they land. And it can also mean that there is actual live far near the village which is dangerous last year. We had a sixteen year old boy killed by unexploded ordinance of this in the field. A combination of all of these factors all of which are human rights violations as well. Jen at their base makes life extremely difficult for people, and you see that people are leaving because of this. We know type in the West Bank of people on the huge amount of pressure to leave, and we know cases in Hebron where families of decided to move. Now each case has to be looked at all it's merits businesses, very serious mental. And the thing is Palestinians have a very very strong resilience. So they don't move easily. But it doesn't mean that the pressure is not there for them to move. And we're concerned I'm concerned that saw these communities will feel they have to move at some point. We'll talk about the courts environment. What does your office do on that issue? We have not see role an illegal role. Yeah. I think the office has been instrumental in bringing together this idea and making sure that there's a common understanding about what environments based on the jurisprudence of into. National tribunals, we track the quiz environment that patents to see what's happening through the violence. Not just the instances of settler violence. But also, the trends, and we analyze trends, and we publish them. We are mandated by the UN to be public about these things. What is the final message would like to express? I think the involvement globally. Is not supportive of human rights to seem to be. Since some places ideology, the pasta or system in the past. And you hear a lot said about that these days, but as Kofi man once said, it's not it's not people who so human rights is relevant. It's usually governments he said even real and for us. It's more relevant than ever that not just our office. But everyone stands up for human rights because the car is very very worrying.
