Eric Describes the Funniest Story From His New Book 'Is Atheism Dead?'
"There are a lot of funny stories in the book. And usually when I do interviews, I don't get to tell these stories. I've got a glance over the top. But you just asked me about one of my favorites. I mean, I can't tell you how much joy I just laugh every time I think about it. But this was the discovery in 1979 of what's called the silver ketef scrolls. And what that means is these are incredibly tiny silver scrolls that were so tiny they were worn as amulets. And they had the priestly blessing the ironic blessing where the priests would say the lord bless you and keep you the lord make his countenance to shine upon you and give you peace. I mean, this holy thing from the scripture of written in silver in really Proto hebraic because this is from 6 50 BC. Anyway, but how was it found? Yes. I, if you read books and archeology, it'll sort of tell you, oh, this was discovered here here by so and so and so and so I was okay. But somehow, in my research, because I have fun doing the research, I discovered this weird backstory. And the more I dug the funnier it became. Yeah. Okay, here's the story. The guy whose last name, oh gosh, what is it? It's Barack. I can never say his name. It's the book here. But anyway, it's not Jacobs. No, it's a 28 year old. It's a 28 year old guy studying archeology in a Tel Aviv, or Jerusalem. So he's a nobody. He's 6 years from his PhD, but he gets this idea in his head that below Saint Andrew's church outside just right at the outset skirts of Jerusalem. There are some old caves and burial caves, whatever. They've all, they looked like they've been excavated. There's nothing there, but he has a hunch that there's more to be found there. But he doesn't have any credibility or anything to get real archeological students to help him. So he has to be really humble and say, you know, I'll take anybody who can help me. Gabriel barques Gabriel bark, I think it's barkai, barkey. He has to go and this is like a joke. So archeology club, 12 and 13 year olds. They volunteer the kids, the kids can help you. So how'd you like 12 and 13 year olds annoying 12 and 13 year olds to help you on this big dig? So they do the dig, they find nothing. He's disappointed, and he says, well, you know what? At least to we've got a photograph, all these chambers, even though we found nothing, there was one kid that was so annoying to this barkai that barkey was like ripping his hair out and he says, I can't take another minute of this annoying 12 year old named Nathan. So here's what I'm going to do. All of these caves need to be photographed. The most distant one or one of the distant ones and over cave 25, he sends Nathan there, and he's really stern with him, like angry, like, hey, I've had enough out of you. I want you to clean that chamber. It's gonna be photographed. I want it to be so clean that your mother could use it as a kitchen. Like you really threatens the kid because this kid was very annoying. So Nathan trundles off to this distant place. And the joy, of course, is that it's far away, and we're not going to hear from this kid for two or three hours while he's doing what we do. But he takes a hammer with them, which is a weird thing, nobody knows. But the kid is so annoying that to go clean the cave, he just happens to hide a hammer on his person. And when he's bored in this sacred chamber, okay? There's nothing there. It's got a stone floor, whatever. He takes the hammer out. Nobody knows this, okay? He's all alone and starts smashing the floor with the hammer. Now this alone, I find it funny. The only reason he's there is because he was so annoying, they sent him as far away as possible. But if he wasn't annoying enough, he had a hammer with him and decides to use the hammer to smash the floor. The board Nathan smashes the floor with the hammer so hard that it cracks. It wasn't supposed to crack. And he finds a hidden chamber. He sticks his hand in the hidden chamber and is dragged into the bowels of hell itself. Just kidding. He puts his hand into hidden chamber and he pulls out some stuff, some like little ceramics. He now is like, hey, this is what I'm here for. I'm not here to clean. I found treasure. So he runs to barkai and tugs on his shirt. He's like, hey hey, look what I found. You could see bark. I could picture his hair standing on end, like what is going on? The annoying kid is back with some ancient treasure. So they run back to the place, barkai sees that, what do you assumed was an empty place was in fact hiding this stuff and the annoying kid was so annoying that he smashed the floor open or whatever. So he sends the kid home and they spend days now excavating the secret whole and they pull out treasure after treasure and the greatest treasure is what we described. And unbelievably tiny silver scroll so delicate that they couldn't unwrap it for three years. They didn't know how to have the technology without destroying it. But they could read the words inscribed in silver. Now if it's inscribed on anything but silver, it doesn't last. So the Dead Sea scrolls, which are amazingly old, they're not this old. This is even older. So this is the first extant writing from the Hebrew scriptures ever discovered thanks to the annoying 12 year old Nathan. He's probably in his mid 50s right now and he doesn't know. And when he's
'Woke' Media Fails to Ask NBA Coach About China
"Com. Josh cross how are you and NBA fan? Somewhat. I mean, I kind of lost interest in the NBA when wizards don't make the playoffs at all. But yeah, I follow the NBA. I like basketball. Say you know, Popovich is allegedly this brilliant guy. He's very good basketball coach, but yesterday, Gruden gets fired from misogynistic homophobic emails and Popovich compares Columbus to Hitler and doesn't get asked a question about the genocide in China and the Uyghurs in his complicity in that. What's wrong with the NBA sports media? Well, not just the sports media, it's the leadership of the NBA, which I think they've suffered the most of all the four sports leagues because they got the most political, all the leaks of some extent have gotten more political than they once were, but the NBA really just like, I remember during the bubble season they put Black Lives Matter on the court. They let players offer their political takes on things left and right. And that's not a great place to be. We want one of the top roles of building a good team and effective team is that you're not divided by politics. You're one team and you don't talk about these issues that have nothing to do with the MBA. Popovich has a long history of offering his political takes. This becomes a no surprise to me that he says something like that. Well, I don't mind is giving his hot political takes, but if he's gonna give it take on Hitler, genocide, slavery in Columbus, somebody ought to ask him about the Uighurs and the ongoing genocide in China from which he profits yes and so much of sorry, someone should ask the silver and someone should ask a lot of the players who play in China, you know, what they think about that. Not so much more relevant, timely issue for the NBA, at least, but you're right, that there's sort of a double standard and you don't get the type of scrutiny. You're going to open everything up to politics. You might as well should be talking about issues that directly affect the NBA and the bottom line. And if you're going to hijack if you're going to hijack a basketball press conference to rant about Hitler in Columbus, you're going to get asked to China question if you have a real
Will We Be Able to Trust Trump's Personnel in 2024?
"Had traitorous literally traitorous seditionists in the building at ranks above. My rank was a deputy to the president. We had chiefs of staff like john kelly. It's it's disgusting that he was a marine. But we have people like john. Kelly vincent and others who are actively sabotaging president trump. It is my contention and we're not going to mention names. Hits a little bit too early for that that president trump is already surrounded or still surrounded by some of the wrong people who gave him bad advice and are just there for the money and selfish reasons during the last four years talk to our millions of listeners. Liz what can we do about that in. A how confident are you that we will have a trust worthy america first bench if we can stop the fraud and he wins again and he gets a second term so i think he openly admits the when he's asked you know what's the best thing you did was the worst and he says personnel some not very. Yeah and i think in i think he he knows that and There were some good ones too though. We gotta remember that. But for the record the fact that he achieved what he adjacent with members of his cabinet working against him. Truly i mean you know you you you thank the good lord every night but we can't do that again this right and honestly so some of these people though you at least they had me fooled some of these people swamp i mean it you had no idea and the one good thing. There's not many the silver lining about what happened in. November is kind of a dividing and people came out of the woodwork. Yeah really exposed people's true colors and what they actually believe and if they don't actually believe in it so i think that's benefit shaw. And now we can. Just ask be point late. Like joe biden get eighty one million votes. Yeah
Why Women Are Not Oppressed
"Okay. All i'm talking about this notion is really important. Transcends the issue of just instagram or just body image or just the issue of raising girl it transcends goes to the issue of the you. prepare your child for life. what we have is a for since world war. Two life has been for most americans. So good that they they sort of invent issues to obsess over the oppression of women. Oh my god. I mean women who thinks she's oppressed in the united states. It is a spoiled brat. Oppressed girls come up to the microphone at speeches that i give at universities and tell me their oppressed they told the wrong guy repressed parents suspending forty fifty sixty thousand dollars a year. They're in this luxurious dorm room. They're not working. They're they're being coddled in every possible way. And they're repressed. They're the majority of students at their college. 'cause boys are fading away from college. That's a thing we meet the. That's a very big deal. I'm not saying it's even bad. Colleges such wastelands maybe mental be better. There there might be a silver lining to it. The feminization of the universities in any event makes makes it It makes it a place guys. Don't want to go to you wanna learn that you're in a hole because you go to college get a degree in self-laceration
Why Democrats Love Inflation
"Have made the argument here on this program that many democrats want inflation. Inflation helps the corporate class and allows them to pay off their debts. Did you know that. Us corporations expanded their balance sheets. By barring six hundred billion dollars in the last year they knew that interest rates will never get the slow again and so every day companies and especially the fortune one hundred companies. They went on a borrowing spree. They borrowed more money. Then they have in recent memory because they knew that all of a sudden if inflation is going to kick in if inflation is going to occur. You want to have as much debt as you possibly can manage or almost more than you can manage. Because then the eight percent inflation radio or the six percent inflation rate a year will actually minimize the debt burden. You have you might as well live it up while you can. Rich people do very well when inflation comes if you own physical assets land gold silver or you're able to move money quickly especially liquid. You'll do fine in the midst of inflation. The people that inflation hurts the most our young people students and middle class workers
U.S. Gymnasts Say FBI Failed to Protect Them From Sexual Abuse
"Four american gymnast. Simone biles michaela maroney aly rice. Men and maggie nichols sat in front of the senate yesterday. Engaged emotional testimony about the abuse. They suffered at the hands of former usa gymnastics doctor. Larry nassar and their feelings of betrayal by investigators particularly the fbi the fbi. Let them down big time. This is simone biles. I don't want another young gymnast. Olympic athlete or any individual to experience the horror that i and hundreds of others have endured before during and continuing to this day in the week of the larry nassar abuse. She said the scars of this horrific abuse continue and the impact will never be over michaela. Maroni told a story about sitting on her bedroom floor back in twenty fifteen and talking to the fbi over the phone and telling them all of the details of everything that had happened to her and then told the f. b. i. About tokyo the day he gave me a sleeping pill for the plane. Ride to then work on me. Later that night that evening i was naked completely alone with him on top of me molesting me for hours. I began crying at the memory over the phone. And there was just dead silence. I was so shocked at the agents silence and disregard for my trauma. After that minute of silence he asked is that all advocates for the young women. Say as many as one hundred twenty athletes may have been abused by nasser. they says l. erased men nassir found more than one hundred new victims to molest serving innocent children up to a pedophile on a silver platter. All we needed was one adult to do the right thing. I don't know if you guys saw this part of her testimony but she told a story about sitting with an fbi agent and him trying to convince her that everything that had happened. Wasn't that bad.
Paris' Arc De Triomphe Is Being Wrapped in Fabric
"Paris is unveiling a monumental work built around an actual monument the arc de Triomphe completely wrapped in silver and blue fabric the nineteen sixty one installation by late artist couple Crisco and junk clothes will open on Saturday with this is taking place for almost three weeks visitors will not only be able to see the cleaning fabric when they go to touch it to ask the artist had intended that's assuming they climb the one hundred sixty four feet to the top they'll step on it as they reach the roof terrace after the press conference on the project France's culture minister for the name but you know called it a formidable gift offered to prisons the French I'm beyond to all levels I'm Charles that's my
Larry Elder's Name Mysteriously Missing From Some California Ballots
"Election was not without fraud. There were several instances of people calling me and telling me that they tried to vote for larry elder and his name wasn't on the ballot in places like elk grove which is by sacramento down. It wasn't on the ballot. He was not on the ballot. In fact the woman that called me from riverside to report. This said that she had to write him in as a candidate and the most visible the literally the most visible challenger to nancy's nephew how is he not on the ballot. Exactly how is he not on the ballot and And what was going on to prevent him from being there. That sounds more than just a coincidence to me. There were lots of people that called and this was documented. Not just on conservative. Talk radio but in the mainstream news media that showed up to vote and they were told that they had already voted. So look this male couple of lessons to learn from this. There are silver linings. Take that is that california. Has its fightback we have recalls still percolating against people like george gascoyne are very liberal district attorney. I think california is more motivated than ever. Because we've seen how this is done. So i do think that there is some positive here. I think it is our job in talk radio to hold the gop accountable at three people on the gop yesterday against better judgment. Look i know a lot of republicans are angry with gop but you have to ask them and we have to have them on our programs holding them accountable to out what they are doing to secure our elections and every single one of them. And i had confirmation of this said that there were a lawyers deployed on the on the tab of the gop the national office of the gop throughout the state watching the vote counts. That's a good step in the right door. They were they were they. Watching the the the votes were they. Counting the votes from november. Is that why they were there. That's right there still there. You have back on november. But certainly the i think at the end of this we're gonna see that republicans were able to turn out more voters than they did when president trump was on the ballot against president biden. And so i think we can make some positive steps. We've sent a message to the rest of the country that there's pushback in california but we have to get a handle on the mail in ballots
Ernest Shackleton: Surviving Antarctica
"It's midnight on may fifth nineteen sixteen. Ernest shackleton squats at the helm of james cared trying to balance himself on the rocking boat. They've been at sea for eleven days. He knew the eight hundred mile. Crossing to south georgia. Island would be dangerous. But he's never seen anything as fierce as the drake passage. The winds have been coming at them at one hundred miles an hour. The waves are almost twenty feet tall each swell grabs the boat lifting at higher and higher for the boiling surf into the air. One moment they're surrounded by hills of water the next there on top of the world overlooking an endless seascape of dark grey rollers and white horses. And then they're hurtling back down. Below water crashes over the sides and sends a small crew into a frenzy to bail before the next one hits one way was so violent it ripped the boats anchor. Clear away shackleton marches wars lee struggling with the rudder trying to control the boat through the gusts and the snowfall is only. Compasses dead. Reckoning and the occasional glimpse of a star they both know if they boat off. Course they could miss south georgia entirely. And never be heard of again skipper. Altaic take the rudder. You get some sleep ex-boss maybe i'll lay down for an hour. Shackleton is left alone at the front of the boat. He watches the angry black clouds. Churn across the horizon and suddenly sees a silver light in the sky. Weather's clearing boys. And then he. Here's the familiar hiss. It's not a break in the clouds. It's the foaming crest of a wave. The biggest wave. He's seen in his life and it's heading straightforward.
What Got Mark Schrad Interested in Liquor Prohibitions?
"Talk about the question that you begin with Obviously you well. You've been studying this. The question of prohibition liquor policy around the world for a while What led you into this. Why did you get involved. Why did you start thinking about that. I think there's a couple of different tangents. One on the american side one on the international side on the american side just as a kid growing up i was kind of venerated. The constitution as like the sort of the the collective wisdom of the leaders of the united states. Going all the way back. You know it started with a pretty good document that we amend it and things get better you know you look at going through all the amendments. And you're like oh you know slavery okay. That sounds good. You know equal rights that makes sense you know women can vote great know and eventually gets the eighteenth amendment and it just as no liquor and you're like wait what it just didn't make any sense to me all right well whatever and then just kind of move down to the twenty-first and you're like okay. Okay okay forget. That whole thing is just kinda erase it from and so that was like wait a minute. How how did we get so wrong. You know on this that you had to put that into your constitution and then have to erase it out so that was one thing that was always just kind of in the back of my mind since i was first learning about politics But beyond that. I guess you know i'm i'm not an american historian by any stretch My focus is always been on on silver comparative politics. and in russia in particular have always been fascinated with russia And you know so. That's the has been a long standing question you know because you have all these stereotypes drunken russian. We all know these things. I've got plenty of anecdotes a my own of drinking in russia. And and and you know that something more than just a a stereotype but i wanted to get to the bottom of that and say okay. Well what's what's going on with alcoholism in you know in russia and so he start looking to the history of it And you know it didn't take long before he of looking at the history and you find that actually. The first prohibition country in the entire world was imperial russia and that just kind of blew my mind. When i first learned about twenty some odd years ago because i thought prohibition was american exceptionalism meshes something. That's weird about the united states and apparently it's weird about a lot of
The History of Neighborhood Witches in America
"Superstition was common in the late. Sixteen hundreds if something odd or unexplainable happened the automatic response from most people was to blame the supernatural but most scholars agree that these beliefs were merely excuses to help people deal with neighbors and family members that they didn't care for if you didn't like somebody. It was common to accuse them of witchcraft. In the most famous historical example of this the witch trials of salem massachusetts. We can see a clear pattern in the events. Many of those accused of being witches were wealthy and held religious beliefs. That were different from their accusers. Wants a subject was convicted. Their estate would be confiscated by the court and in a community that was known for property disputes grazing rights and religious arguments. That became a recipe for disaster. And what happened in salem happened. Elsewhere around new england just on a smaller scale neighbors accused neighbors constantly. Stories were told. Lives were ruined. It was the way of things. I suppose not ideal but also not uncommon in one story from exeter rhode island. A farmer was said to have been carting his lumber to market when a cat ran across the road for some unknown reason. This farmer immediately jumped to the conclusion. The cat was actually a neighbor of his. A woman who he insisted was a witch she had of course transformed herself into the cats in order to meddle in his business. This farmer though was fast on his feet not only did he see the cat running and then make the connection to his witchy neighbor but he then managed to pull out his gun. He was said to a fired. A silver bullet at the katz. Something well known at the time to be effective against witches and struck his target at that very moment according to the story be suspected which fell in her own. Home breaking her hip. In the town of salem new hampshire a man decided that his cow looked strangely different from how he remembered and he made the most logical conclusion he was. capable of. His neighbor was a sorcerer and the man had bewitched his cow folklore dictated the solution to he cut off the cows ears and tail and then burned them soon. After the farmers neighbor was found dead victim of a house
What Is a Breakthrough COVID-19 Infection?
"Dr Deborah and Mulligan, professor at Nova Southeastern University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board certified in pediatrics and emergency medicine as welcome our dear doctor. Good morning, Jimmy. Let's talk about little bit about breakthrough infections. I think I saw that about 83 85% of the people hospitalized in the state of Florida. Were not vaccinated, but there are some And that's the breakthrough infection. Right? That's what we call it. Tell us about this. Yeah, sure. So, you know, we had a really good vaccine driven strategy for the vaccinated. It was supposed to be a worry free, hot back summer of socializing and fun. That was before Delta. You know, this tough, formidable folks spoil their plans and rising covid breakthrough infections. Among fully vaccinated is a reminder that these vaccines are not a silver bullet. Nor is the mask a full proof invisibility cloak. So let's define what is the definition of vaccine breakthrough infection for our listeners. It's the detection of SARS Kobe to RNA or antigens. Collected from a person more than 14 days after they completed recommended doses of covid 19. So I have had patients who were diagnosed with Covid Illness, but they hadn't been fully vaccinated. So, for example, maybe you got the first shot. It was a week later, they hadn't got their second shot. So Jimmy, these vaccines are intended to prevent severe illness. That was the end point, and they're doing that. They were not intended to prevent spread 100%, although they were pretty marvelous until you know Delta came along. These vaccines are working as expected there, bolstering memory B cells, protective D cells and antibodies to protect us from severe disease. They're doing that.
Retired Navy Officer Jocko Willink Explains the Code 'Never Leave People Behind'
"Night. Uh, because People in America. They look to you, Jack. Oh, you got a big public profile. You're a humble guy, but you're a Navy seal. You've been there. You've been in theater, and I think one of the things that has my listeners. A lot of Americans really furious right now is what we discussed on Saturdays. This idea to the whole American code. We live by a code here. That's what America is not just a flag. That's just a piece of fabric. It's what the flag represents. And one of the codes are. We don't leave our people behind Jacko. And we're evac ng in Afghanistan right now, giving him artificial 3 29 PM tomorrow deadline. And yet they have no way to get out. I mean, this is unforgivable. Yes. You know, Dan, I was going to bring this up the other nights. I heard you before I came on. I heard you talking and you were talking about the fact that we're leaving people behind it, and I wanted to mention this story when I was in Iraq was in the battle of Ramadi. And there was a situation where there was a gunfight and there was some Iraqi soldiers. Some friendly Iraqi soldiers got wounded, and we're laying in the street and two of my guys to American seals. Put down cover fire ran out into the middle of the street during a gunfight to grab these two guys, bring him back to safety. Uh, totally put their lives at risk. Both those guys ended up receiving the Silver star for that action, but This is what we did, and this was for Iraqi soldiers. Guys that been speak English guys that were just out there to help us and and that code that you talked about. It's a real thing. It applies to anyone that helps us. We will be there for you. And so it's very sad to see the situation unfolding the way it is. Folks. Chako has a

Olympic Silver Medalist Courtney Frerichs On Dealing With The Pressure Put on Athletes
"Talked before about the topic of pressure. And i know that came up a lot with all kinds of athletes at the olympics. A lot of conversation around pressure is a privilege in well. What is pressure actually mean. And where is it coming from. And just this idea of athletes who are at the top of their game and expected to stay there so for you coming off such a high. Do you feel that there is pressure going into this race of like well. She's a silver medallist so she's obviously the one to watch or is it like. Oh this is my victory lap. I can have fun with it. Where do you fall with that You know i definitely do feel like there is some pressure and i think a lot of is you know kind of driven by from myself like keno perform again but i keep reminding myself that these are separate events and so no matter what happens this weekend. It doesn't take away from what happened at the olympics. And i think that that's kind of the mindset. I'm meeting to have to to handle. Yeah like the perceived pressure going into this because you always want to form your best but just because you have an off day. It doesn't mean that it takes like anything else you do so i don't wanna feel like it's hard though i mean i feel like a lot of us. Athletes are so hard on ourselves and hold ourselves to a really high standard so the regardless of what performance. You're coming off of their. Can you feel that pressure in. It definitely feels a bit present. But the i keep focusing on china carry the same attitude. I kind of had going into the olympic games. And i think that that was you know kind of that quiet competence and knowing what i needed to do to be successful in kind of tuning out the rest of
Israel Demonstrates That the Vaccines Fail To Stop the COVID-19 Pandemic
"I don't want to frighten you. But this is the data. Unfortunately the numbers do not lie. What happened the complex and sobering. Truth is that no single policy. Event brought israel the crisis. They say that we're still in the midst of a pandemic. there is no silver bullet. We were told that the vaccines were single. Bullet are the vaccines playing in to the rising rates. That's an interesting question. Daily beast continues by saying all of this week. All israelis over thirty will be able to receive booster shots. We don't know what the booster shots are doing. It's a combination of waning immunity. So the inoculated people get reinfected at the same time. The very transmits. Transmissible delta variant. So now they're forcing a vaccine on our military and our children were israel saying like. Yeah it's really not making much of a difference where the most vaccinated country on the planet. When are the leaders that are in charge can start actually talking with reason and logic and push back against all of this force you to take a vaccine and destroy your life despite all the evidence showing the exact opposite.
Greg Sankey on Alliance Turbulence, Scheduling, CFP, Collaboration
"Obviously they're usually pretty focused on draft competition on your academics on compliance fundraising. Everything else. That goes into an athletic department but now obviously name image likeness kobe. Obviously there's been litigation that we've been dealing with in there just seems like every day. There's just a another new item to put on your list and try to manage and You know so. There's i can tell you there's never boring day right now paul but You know but what takes place in college. Athletics is so valuable. And and so good for so many people involved in and Silver very exciting to be a part of it every single day. There's so much to get you. And i wanna get obviously to your campus in a minute. We talked to greg sankey earlier and you know so much conversation around the country today in relation to what happened yesterday. And i ask you because you spent a lot of time in the pac twelve early in your career and obviously as the athletic director at arizona. Could you give us your view of what we all watched yesterday with. the three commissioners form forming the alliance. Yeah listen i understand that. Collaboration is important. Part of anything that you do to have the healthiest environment that you can have and you know so. I understand where the conference is to try to work together Sec's always been good about that. And and so. When when i was watching that i understand the purpose of it and the thought of it at the same time to You know schools moving from one conference to another has happened in the. Sec's happening the acc. Big twelve the pac twelve and the big ten and so this is not i think i mentioned a pat forty yesterday when he called me about it. I said it's not a new phenomenon. That's taking place. This is something that is reality. Schools are going to look after their their own interests and because of making sure that they can do the right thing for their student athletes and their program and their university for the law all and their fans as well And you know i did. I did think that. Hey it's it's probably okay to talk a little bit about what we're doing
Chief Global and Innovation Officer Sanjeev Shetty Tells Us What Connected Living Is All About
"I wanted to quickly take a minute just to talk about connected living who we are and what we've been doing for the past decade or so. So we're based on Quincy masks. We've been around for over ten years, really leading with technology and programs to help communities connect protect and engage residents, families and employees. Regardless of where they live, they could be in a home setting. This would be in any level of living within a senior living lifeline community. Or in a memory care setting, we actually help them connect with families friends, residents and employees. And obviously we've seen this past year, you know, it's been a marathon, but one of the silver linings coming out of it has been just the pace of innovation bread. And we've heard that both some pets and the folks from constant companion mark that innovation has really been in the forefront, whether it's voice for other technologies that have really reshaped the healthcare landscape. And what I wanted to do on this slide is just take a minute to talk about our ecosystem. We at the very core we have a HIPAA compliant cloud based platform what we call as the CMS system. It's a web based admin panel. And what that does is it helps push content out to any of these endpoints that you see around the circle, whether it's the native mobile apps that were created on Android and iOS, whether it's that interim television channel that we bring in through your cable provider or the Apple TV app that we created during the pandemic, making that experience very interactive. Obviously, voice is front and center and is a key part of our strategy on all of our platforms. We were very fortunate to be tapped on the shoulder by Amazon Alexa very early in the days of voice and we have created our own Alexa senior skill with over 200 prompts. And obviously that translates to other platforms as well, such as the robotics that you're going to be able to witness your in the short while. "Know team paraphernalia. There's a make that makes you a super fan. That's great. That doesn't make you a member of the organization. Exactly. I. So you don't have a right to say this guy needs to be. For instance. Here's some breaking news as we're recording this Gerald McCoy from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is going to be released not gonna pay thirteen million dollars. This oh come season. He would be an excellent edition for the raiders, and I guaranteed. Same way today. It was tweeted at me and Cuba from somebody that should we go sign or try to trade for Leonard Williams from the Jetsons. He may be available. You know what I love Leonard Williams? I've covered Leonard Williams while he was at USC. The big cat is as grit of a football player is he's a better human being. I mean this guy has sixteen at USC dominating people sixteen, you know, this, this is a man's man, and all pro this guy's got hall of fame talent. And it's unfortunate. He's been with the jets for so long would our trade for him as much as I would love to see Leonard Williams silver, and black. No, I wouldn't article get him as a free agent because you're gonna have to spend that money. Anyway, now Gerald McCoy for a year, the after he gets released. Hell. Yeah. Bring him on. There's a guy that that has all the tools and has been very good. At what he does and Fitz Gunther wants to do now. That makes a lot of sense be. But I know I'm gonna get tweets and on when to get text or no, I'm gonna get emails that we need to do this. Or we need to do that. Unless your name is might may Jon Gruden method team. Do. Let the team make demise vizino with us for the team. They know what they want on the team. Exactly. They have information and they get information that quite honestly, nobody else will have or get, you know, like NFL draft is we need to drop this guy. Well, we should have drafted him. Why did he fall? Well, maybe there is some there some information why this guy slip so far. Maybe there's information of Mr. polite, who end up being a fourth round pick who had a horrible combine. That's not the reason why he dropped the reason why he dropped his not to mention the meetings at the combine where he looked. He acted like a complete as and was completely unprofessional. But if came out that he likes to smoke a lot of weed, the dudes a weed head. So because you smoke a lot of weed things aren't gonna want a chance because now they're dealing with a tavis bright. They're dealing with. Josh? They don't want the headache because they have using this, why teams did Thurn players and heaves known bam are different than they don't understand with. He has to go through on daily basis. What goes into making decisions in that all are what could be on hard knocks? That's why shouldn't the NRA not? I agree in, in in all if any team is prepared for there's only one team. I think that can do hard knocks and be prepared and entertaining, more so than anybody, it's the raiders because you have guys has been on TV for, for over may ask case. You know, vote over a decade fifteen twenty years in may. Ox case you got you got guys there that are. Used to being in front of a camera. But do you think Mark Davis really wants to get in front of a camera? Mark is not that type of Dan, Mark..

"Exactly. I mean the things that get talked about in a locker room or any clubhouse for baseball in his completely inappropriate. And there is there won't be like a someone that comes out with a that's how it is sad to save. This is how it is. And I can say the same thing in media rooms. I've been in bullpens in media rooms that I am working for various large corporations in smaller, mom and pops ones from a media side, that it was the most inappropriate workplace environment. Someone could ever working with the amount of conversations that happened. I mean, people have an affairs with people in his very on the open, and people don't say like that. It's, it's what it is. And, and you kind of just do your business and stay in your lane. Sometimes you partake in jokes, or whatnot and is other times that, you know, you kind of shake. I can't believe someone said the same thing. Should stay private are private and other things to just, you know, like the normal day thing, the public know what a person's doing. They know about the private absolutely in take that with me when I cover sports me covering UNLV or the raiders, or any other sports team that I've covered in the past Lakers clippers dodgers. Angels. USC UCLA. High school sports college force whatever. I don't care what such such player or said coach is doing in private life. That is none of my business. And quite frankly, nobody else's business does the same way. We'll goes on my private life is nobody else's business, but mine the people share it with my close few people. I allow into my world and I don't think it's any fans business. If, if, if said player, if rinses Lou Williams, who quite openly had a relationship had both his girlfriend's living in the same house, both mothers of his children to in relationship of both of them. They both knew obviously both were okay with their relationship for people to get into an uproar over that it's not your business. Who cares? It has. It doesn't concern you. If those people are happy with, it lets them live their life, I could care less. If Jerry Jones is banging forty thirty twenty year olds. He can do it his age good for him. You know, that's what his wife allows him to happen. Allows him to do it allows. Relation to be good for her. But makes them happy. They like it. I love it. Who cares? It's nobody else's business. But they're so that's where I think fans tend to think that they have a right to say what they will he they need to cut him or they need to do this, or we need to or not the one, we need to do this. We need to do that. Okay. Unless you're getting the check cut by the team there's no week unless you bought into the Green Bay Packers stock program like some of us have that put seats in the stadium whatever else use for you can say, we then because you put money into you. You're considering investor the ownership of exactly I'm invited to an owner's meeting every year like a private owners meeting with the Green Bay Packers of LA along with other people. But that doesn't mean you know, the next guy is because he likes said, team, that's not Green Bay alleger gain, a check signed by that NFL owner or or franchise. There's no we at all. There's not as you buy jersey, my names, you know. Is because you by jersey in, we're face paint. And, and where you.

"He's not gonna restructure deal because of that they need to make a decision, and that's gonna come real soon. So I like to see the tiny situation addressed a little bit. Again, besides besides offensive line on to see another interior defensive tackle, I would love just because I think it would be so raiders on my God, I would love for them to signing Dhamma consumers and create my unholy union with him in vaunted victim. And. And is I think that would be phenomenal. Oh my Lord. And I say that because I said, on Cuna I I'll love I said almost two months ago that I will ever seen perfect in and ensued together. Because I think that yeah, there'd be some penalties. But I think that would it would be one of those were it would make everybody around them better. Especially sue, and I called my unholy union. It'd be so raiders if they did that I would love for them to do that idea. Interior interior line of I think secondary their deep. I like the secondary right now, maybe get maybe bring in another safety. John Cebrian be good one now that he's cleared in. He's going to be in in. I'm pretty sure I don't think he's gonna use with the Jags. I don't know if he's going to remain there. Cebrian would be a good one. Just let him come in and compete with cujo. And in Harris of the be a real good one. Like maybe a third receiver another one. You know, you have Williams, you have Brown, you have rent for this the slot guy. I'm not a big JJ Nelson guy. I don't think that he's getting make the team. You know, but dos is gonna be there. So I think he's going to be I think he's gonna be a stud. So, you know, those are probably some of the maybe get another backup running back. I mean Doug Martin is fine as a backup, let him in rushing last year. But put the ball on the ground three times. You know, but there again is running back in today's NFL. You know it's not like you can just, you know, you can't you can't find one Megan find Amore ever. But I mean, there really isn't anybody. I'll make you go. Ooh. Yeah, let's go get this guy. So. You know, at the end of the day, I mean take a look, I think you know, and really just get deeper overall like this is the same thing Kaelin when you when you want us UNLV you could tell good at team is by their special teams. If your special you have gunners and you guys are going down lane. Dudes out your deep team because you have talent on special teams. Most of the good teams NFL have really good special teams because the rosters are deep teams are ready to high special teams because they don't have deep rosters. So look special teams and gain the deeper, you get you're gonna have more guys that could potentially be starters for you or on other teams playing special teams. So I think that would be a good good thing. Get deeper across the board. Mounting anyone other than tied any one specific. Position that I say they have to get better. I think tidiness is the weakest position right now. And I gained Colorado. You know, he'll even be willing to trade like a fifth router. Form. You know, you guys are gonna cut them get something form..

"Ben Watson, retires from the NFL because. He's done Bocek needs to tighten. He calls drain watching. He's been gone for a would like these seven years. Ben Watson's back with the patriots. Like gone through Beller. Well, however long has begun in New Orleans. And I thought he was somewhere else before that. But I may be wrong. I'm just saying the ravens, okay. So, however, long been gone. I think as least three years in Worley, at least three two or three in New England or excuse me, in with the ravens, but I may be wrong, but. That doesn't change my point. He's going and getting bringing guys back in the he's gotten rid of. And. He's not the. Bella check is smartest guy in the room in. He knows it you know, he don't have to say he Sean, Josh mcdaniels was talking to the Super Bowl about. They're talking about a prep. And they're talking about when he was any ruin with with various teams for the head coaching position. They asked him, you know, well, how can you. Conceivably. Game plan and then interview for eight hours, you know, like that's only so many hours today. He goes, no. We have this machine at our facility where we can take now for forty five minutes in taken a five s I go to see for five hours. Almost like a hyper chamber, and we'll take a forty five minute nap. Waco completely refreshing ready to go. How many other teams have that what is the lingering just have that? If nobody else does. See, like they're ahead of the curve, because they're going out in doing militate is researching things outside of just football to give him the best opportunity to continue to win. That's why he's a greatest coach ever. And I've never felt that way until maybe the last two or three years. I think I actually truly believe that he is king, graders Costa coach pro football in the history of the game. I know there's MS Lombardi who excellent motivator means Vince Lombardi, you have wall shoot changed the game in terms of the west coast offense. You know, years Bella check that belly. Every he's one in every different way one teams go off into juggernauts with teams with great defenses..

"So you don't have any more off the field talk. You wanna have it on the field. You already have too many distractions like that with player and owner misconduct going on in the NFL as it is. Yeah. And you definitely don't want everything because a lot of the number one ally, the hydrographic of, oh, not necessarily first-round pick. But high. Top three overall picks worked out in the NFL nine time and. You, you don't want stack mood withheld where he can take every season in just a quarter of the pieces of the need than. Doesn't need that. They already have something's wing all the time the patriots. But that that's what the will does does not need, and they'll need any more of it. Make it. A low on Vallon Warren balanced than. It. Our shakes out. Seattle. I don't agree with that. I can't you can't blame the patriots. For being headed the curve. I'm not talking about just you. I'm talking about about fans like like realistically Bellon stays ahead of the curve. What's what is almost every team going to right now? Offense only. Spread offense. Right. Was Belcher gone back to two receivers of fullback and running back. That's how they beat the Rams plain old power football. You know, everybody like they literally. Will want when the trends are going one way they go the opposite way. What's Gruden going back to? Yeah. He's going to spread them out, but he wants to run the football. They wanna be a run first team. Gonna air it out. Good loves the pass it, but they wanna be able to run the ball when they impose their will on you. That's what that's what that's what good football teams do when the Rams were humming last year. Todd Gurley wasn't injured. Todd was the engine that made that that, that beautiful Porsche go. But wants to once Todd went down that engine had a kink in it. They got you know they brought in. Do that with Denver and valium with the raiders he bounced around catches on they when it rented they use him running the ball. They're DRAMs offenses picking back up, but when the Rams can run the ball. Guess why they became one dimensional? That's why village is going okay. Stop are run. Stop Sony, Michelle. Oh, okay. And then we'll pass it on you stop grunk stop Edelman. Oh now you're gonna play pass go back to Ryan the ball. Like it's real. It's real simple. Because everybody is going one direction Valentine's when they win. They zig zags. That's what makes women so great. Think about this two three years ago, he traded Jamie Collins for a second round pick to Cleveland. Cleveland Cutsem Collins goes back there for three million dollars..

"So there's a few guys out there. But I don't think it's going to be the norm. Okay. And let's go with another thing that won't happen and vote grandfather is around as her out the other picture. This week after the NBA laundry and you know, Dax were would have no one take at the dawn with a graph artery, like the NBA, but and then Oakland drop all the way down to seven having wrath. There was a draft lottery. I mean. Why in your in would not work in that? A major to easy to take like right now you with with the way the NFL is right now. Just fine, and it should be like that with all sports like baseball, does it too. There's already so much. Talk about is our games rig. Art team tanking are, you know, does the NFL want certain teams to win more than others. Wasser teams lose more than others. You know, there's so much that already in the NBA thrives off that okay, go back to the days of Patrick Ewing, being the guy that was number one overall picking the frozen card that they know it was the Knicks card, and that way, the Knicks get the number one pick in related revitalize the Knicks or even this year, New Orleans guessing number one pig knowing they're gonna have their trade Athens Davis. So they're trying to find a way to bring attendance in New Orleans before they are forced to move to Las Vegas. With the NFL is not like that. Because if you're a crappy teams. Your people know, your crappy team people in and you deserve that number one pick you earned it. I mean that the your Dallas when one in fifteen earned that Jimmy Johnson earned that number one pick that was not God bless Tom Landry and, and everybody involved with the with without organization. But they earned it televised. They weren't there even after the Herschel Walker trade it weren't there is reality of it. The raiders earned the number four pick the cardinals earned the number one, pick by having a bad offense of line guys, getting hurt Rooney people's fantasy season stinky, David Johnson. So, so I mean, they earned that you look it, it's just like life. You get what you earn if you're if you're not out there, you know, putting in the work, and you're in you're in if you're a business of we're a business Kaelin. And I'm out there working my azoff. I mean, I'm bringing investors and come we'll marketing plans in coming with, and you're my sales person and you're not out there. Sally. How am I how is this bid as opposed to thrive and it's no different? If you're the general manager of team, and you're not putting the right pieces together the fit with your head coach wants your team is going to be successful. And you can't put square pegs around holes in a lot of times, people don't realize how it works coaches aren't asked what players they want. We'll go draft these guys Reggie McKinsey did that for each coach. We'll couple guys you do you want for your system. We'll try to get those guys for you coaches are going to GM's and scouts are going to target the best possible players, and say here, they are make them coach make them fit in what you want to do now with the cardinals, for instance. And I'm still on topic, and I'm gonna go about in a long way. But with the cardinals. You hire a first year head coach you give them a first year quarterback rookie quarterback that you trade up for. And you don't give him an offensive line. You also to Larry FitzGerald. You don't have a lot of weapons. Ofensive -ly other than you're running back who gets hurt defensively. You're, you're really good defensively, for the most part. But you can't put up points. And then you fire the coach because he can't get the quarterback to a certain level. But yet you hire a coach who doesn't fit the quarterback that you just traded up for. So now you gotta trade that guy to get the quarterback that does fit what your head coach wants to do. That's on the GM as my guy..

"Was drafted high four overall probably, but he's their guy like if he was drafted at if if that was New England take him out four it'd be an excellent pick. It's because it's the raiders in his unknown. If that was. You know, we Josh Jacobs was the question with him while the question him is real simple. He didn't get a lot of carries. You know, he wasn't the starter in okay? But when he was on the field who's the most dynamic vaca on that office. That's why Nick Sabin went to him more times than not. So therefore. Yes, that was a good pick, right there. He fits Gruden wants. They wanted to be an every down that Abram is, is an alpha male. I to me was the best safety in the class. And I had every mock except the last one go into the raiders at that for the most part. I thought he was the right guy for them. And those are guys that in, in a meeting room are going to hold people accountable because they hold themselves again. And that's what they want. They don't want guys, they're going to fall asleep in meetings, they don't want guys that are going to pass the book the other people blame somebody else. They don't want guys are going to run to the media. We're under they. Guys are gonna come in. And say look, this is how we're doing things. They want guys that, that can be coached up that they feel that, okay? You know what? This. They want guys that are talented, but that are going to outworked talent to bust through that ceiling. And I think there's so many guys, not just in the NFL, but in sports, that are so talented, but they've been able to skirt by because they've always been the, the biggest strongest, fastest guy throughout use force throughout high school throughout collars. They never really had to work like that's the knock on Leonard net. He's always was the biggest guy as a running back, so he never really had to work. Even in college. You really didn't have to work. That's why when we started really getting hit he was getting dinged up because he doesn't know how to react to being being hurt. Those the big deal with Cam Newton mechanically. He is a mess as a quarterback. He is not a great passer. But he's always the biggest strongest fastest and had a big arm. So of course, he's going to play quarterback, he's going to run around, and he can an athlete you and you can't do that in the NFL and not have any long term sustained success. So that, that's the difference. They want a guy like feral for keep going back to him. That his had success in highschool goes to college works works works grinds in explodes, and becomes this dominant alpha male de leader of that defense for two years. And then go always in the NFL, and that's all he knows is to work. The put one hundred percent effort aimed to study his playbook to hit the weights to, to lead by example, in by being vocal. They want that type of those are the guys that bust BUSTER seem..

"You know there's a lot is Lindsay going to be that type of running back again. You know who your receivers you have you have? Inanity. Saunders in the key drafted last year at Oklahoma state that, that is just a big tall. Got he can't run the route tree, but he can go up and get it. So, okay. You drafted Noah, fine or fan. But let's see if he's going to do what he didn't college, the NFL lable. So there is a lot of questions with Denver defensively. You know, are they going to be the same as they've always? They, they put out a great defense every year, but I think there's questions in the secondary. And then when you then you turn around and you look at. Sandy are. The chargers almost San Diego were they should still should be. I think that's a travesty. The charters. They're the one of the most well put together teams overall. In the NFL, but you lose Tyrell wounds. And that means there's going to be some coverage rolled Akina nelin, who's a lot of talking off season. And, you know, the really feel themselves are still a big question. Mark tied in. They got the guy coming back off of injury. Blessing? He does anything. Will Melvin Gordon ever stay healthy? You know, I love Melvin Gordon, I think is fantastic. Is a great running back, Wisconsin. And when he's been held, he's been a very good running back for the chargers. Philip rivers is what he's had had. He's been very good. And then last year, all of a sudden he was like using his prime again was every every every quarterback. And every player goes to a season right before they get that down. Downfall withers that blip. You look at Brett farve the year. That you before he was trading to the jets. He has a mediocre seasons. All of a sudden that, that year he was maybe caliber Brett farve again, and then he when he got traded jets was mediocre with the Vikings. He was average. And then he was hurting retired. So there's always that blip on the radar year. Right before that almost like a sewn has dementia a right before they pass. They have one day where they this completely lucid, and they have they have all their faculties together. And then that horrible debilitating disease takes over well. That was last year that lucid year for Philip rivers, who's the guy that's going to back him up. Who's the guy he goes down? That's going to take overs. Not Gino Smith. He's gone. So, you know, there are a lot of question marks the chargers, who are still the class of that division in my opinion. So. The raiders have a ways to go in order for them to. Compete against those teams in a couple years with the raiders need to do is build a young team that Gruden in may. Oke. Put together and they put together a team that. They're teaching how to win a certain way. So some of these guys come from other organizations or guys that have been with the raiders in the past and have been problem guys, they're starting to be exited out and it started last year. And changing the culture there changing the vibe, and they want specific types of football players. You see guys they want they want guys that one love football. They don't care about the guy is six foot four two hundred and thirty pounds of one point nine percent, body, fat and ran a four three. But Kenny when the route tree Kenny catch and does he help us win right now. No, he doesn't is going to take him a few years. We want guys can help us win right now. And as we get better, they get better. So in two or three years, when we reach our pigs, they're starting to come into their prime and we get them for all their prime years. And we're have sustained success like you seen in a wing Lind, like you seeing in Pittsburgh like you've seen in Green Bay like you seen in San Francisco in the eighties..

"And he came to practice and he had a brace on Gunther cutting ham who just passed away his itchy coordinated time former raiders defensive coordinator under art shell. Gunther. Cousin goes. Hey. Put your hand right here. And he puts it is, like, re tween his shoulder in his his peg muscle. And he goes, you feel that you feel that the whole right there. He goes. Yeah. He goes tour my pecking like nineteen sixty something. They never had surgery. That's what it feels like. So I BRAC I say bossy winner. Did you know that you are making this team, then he goes, honestly, Joe? It was during a practice and Herm Edwards came to me was, like, what are you doing? Like I got a practice I gotta play this week. I gotta make the team. He's like, no, no, no, no. You're not. You're not playing this week. You're out. Don't worry about it. He goes, I knew then that I made the team they offered that because he impressed enough in practices. He impressed them enough in offseason workouts in the meeting rooms the way he can Doug it themselves away. He handled his business. He that's just exactly what the raiders are looking for, in terms of these undrafted, guys how impressive are they? How do they interact with one another? How do they go about their business on an everyday basis? Do they go in and conduct themselves in a manner that is professional and is one that puts them in a position to not only help the team, but also be a good Representative of the and that is exactly what they're looking for not? Itching on the field performance mean some of these guys go undrafted, because. There's a there's a hiccup in their life in, in a team is leery of of them being. Of Dragic, because they don't want to catch the backlash but their job as breakfast would tell me, he goes, he will say, bro. My job is to take the next man's job. So his job is to. So these rookies jobs so keeps on Nixon's job is to take Nick Nelson's job. His job is to take Werleigh's job. His job is to try to take Gary are Conley's job. So that's the that's the that's the mentality they have to have. And it's the same thing for these drafty. Guys, the guys that are their, their job is to take the next man's job is nothing personal. It's just business. So until you have that mentality or unless you have that mentality is going to it's, it's extremely you're not going to be successful in the NFL or trying to make team. Yeah. I mean and then I'll I know they picked the for offense lineman like players are schools UCLA, Alabama. Louisville and then one from San Diego..

"I mean there was there were more famous. Guys on the team guys. They have more, you know, have more press more run running more pub, but he was a guy that they ended up going to Nicholls state. Is great. You know, matures graves were in order, and he just he'd would grinded in. He became the darling of the show in this office personality, you always seen him smiling but he was making plays. So he's a guy like to see get a legitimate magenta chance as well. I know they all signed. So there. Ali, alley actually had a tryout believe and he got a camp invite off to try out from the the first rookie minicamp. So let's hope they all stick in, in in, you know, but at the same time, you know what people tend to forget, I know this first hand because. I call him on my brother. Tyron Bracken Richie. He played with the chiefs in the Jaguars. And he Toronto scotch wanted last three years. He's been Toronto. Argonauts defensive back coach. We Bossie Bossie got when undrafted on Washington state in, in had a lot of different teams looking at them coming out, and we were there in phone's ringing, nears teams like Green Bay in Minnesota. The jets the Jaguars the Rams L were call him but he ended up signing with cheese because for him it was the best opportunity to play. He looked. He looked at their defensive backs of the room in say they don't have a lot of DVD's. I can go in there and I'm better than this guy. And this guy he made his decision off that he knows what a few the team. So his signing with cheese and he's a first year of hard knocks on their forget. Cou I'm gonna bring that up to Q, and we do QNA, while I'm gonna tell them we can't take eagle that Kaelin stood is the claim to him. And, and that he that he said, if you make the team is going to he's going to break open his miser wallet at. Eagle raiders jersey. For those that don't know. I am Kaelin. I'm also Kayla's boss inside the rebels so Kaelin isn't a Torius leak, cheap when I mean, he makes crews MC Doug look like he's, he's making a rain, every single second of the day. So they get to know Kaelin the man versus Kaelin the, the guy spitting silver, and black. Yeah. But, I mean all the undrafted free agents who you. You know there's a there's a couple like I made it very known in very, very open about it. Keyshawn Nixon is a friend of mine actually, he trains, with he was when, when my son peanut was living in Vegas. He was he was training with Keyshawn Keyshawn and Pino retraining with a good friend of mine. Charles E Lee for former UNLV defensive back of antastic defensive back. I think he's the best defensive back coach in the state of Nevada from being one hundred percent honest. He's also a high school football coach did it for very long time. Great person, look, Sean, has was there training with Charles, who was John's high school coach in Los Angeles at a high school when high school, I went to, so that's how I got to note. He Sean, I like the receiver out of UC Davis. I think he's got a chance to only make the team. But play significant minutes, potentially be. I can see him starting opposite of tyrel what they will or getting when they go four wide him play now side in tyrod Williams, you get a v in Renfro in the slot, which I think would be deadly. Deadly group of four guys for the raiders, and then a the. The linebacker from Notre Dame is named slips my mind right now on others. Dos. Nixon and Coney, I think Kony's going got a chance to, to truly be a guy that can eventually I think you'll start a couple of games this year off, which you like that. I think at birth that goes down Kony's the guy that goes into the middle. I'm not real sure why he dropped him lack of athleticism. You know, there's been some I think some the questions on whether or not he can cover. But I think he's a guy that's gonna make an impact. And he's gonna be you know have a lot of raiders fans really, really liking them, but those are the three that really stand out like angled making the team as well. In part because I, I know they, they have they have the, the tide in on the roster already. But I think this guy's, he's a different type. And. Between between all of those guys really had. No, daas angled and Coney had about fifteen twenty teams vying for them. After the after the draft and during the drive when they kind of knew they were going to go on drafted. And I know Keyshawn had options as well. So. So I guess for me. Those are the guys that really stand out. I would like to see. Ali get a really good. Good good run. The practice squad type guy though is the kid from last chance. You the first season. Coach buddy eastern eastern, Mississippi community college big events, tackle, kind of became the star of the show..

"It's I've heard people say that the goal nights is like more of a show, more of an entertainment factors, and it win teams gravitates Fords. They used a whole different type of. Fanbase. They're not all there for the game. A lot of them are there for them to team in everything. It's, it's, it's different. I know of using that, but I will I have because with the knights bringing circle Soleil, during intermissions and stuff, among other performers like they had a last year. We had a band in during the Western Conference finals. Perform longs, as an imagine dragons are bad luck floor. No, no. I think I think what it does Kaelin is for less. You're the the husband of the house. I don't mean to make a stereotypical family or said Saudis in every house. So please don't take it that way, folks. But the husband comes in here him in him in his son are big time hockey fans, man, they, they all of a sudden got into the Golden Knights and they all of a sudden hockey experts so they go for the game in the fights in, but then let's say your wife and your daughter go, you know, 'cause it's a family night out. And they wanna make it to where this the casual fan or the non fan can have a good time at that event to, and you see that more with other sports as well. I mean, I'll go back to LA foreigners. Since if you're a big time, you know, baseball fan, for instance, in southern California, there's really on the west coast. There's no better place to watch again the Dodger Stadium. There's there's not a. One the field the what that stadium me has done met for baseball hall old, it is. But how Christine it is. It's, it's a van testing venues, not a bad seat there to watch the watch the game. I mean the only thing that sucks on a top level your high, you're looking right over it. But other than that, I mean it's event tastic stadium to watch a game at so someone like me, who loves baseball and played it and watches all the little intricacies in chess matches throughout the game. I prefer to watch a game there. But if I'm bringing my girlfriend, or I'm bringing the kids if I'm bringing if I'm just going to hang out in, if I don't, if I'm just a casual fan that I'm gonna take them to angel stadium because there's more stuff to do. They have a kid area where kids can throw a ball in calm almost like an amusement park where you can throw a ball fast. They have a batting cage where you can hit in there. There's there's specific area. As more family orientated than it is a Dodger Stadium. So the, the Golden Knights have done is to both in put him into one venue, at T mobile and said, okay, we're gonna make this entertaining his possible on the ice with our with our team. And how good we are, you know, the two straight clamp appearances our first two years of existence Stanley Cup finals appearance, their first year this year kinda get robbed with a back haul buddy by the by the wrath in NHL saying, sorry, which they've been doing a lot when it came to San Jose, and the sharks, this, this postseason. So you have that side of it. And then you have the other side where you have a group. Like imagine dragons, there, you have various celebrities. Wayne Newton for the older crowd, or you name a celebrity, inner little John or whomever's run. Twirling the siren in the intro is the best in the NHL..

"He has been a billion studios when you have ESPN in Caesar's linking up to, to give numbers when you have foxsports putting together gambling specific shows in podcast when you have all the major networks run in lines on the on their bottom line. And talking about, you know, odds, and whatnot, it's the leagues are starting to accept it. In realize now is not as taboo of once was, and that's why you have the NBA, which will be in Las Vegas in the next three to five years. They've done doing surveys, all over the place. Vegas has long been a destination spot for the NBA the New Orleans pelicans is I put out there about a year and a half ago. Two years ago is the team to really watch to come to Vegas. Because of ownership issues because of a tendency issues in New Orleans. When you look at major league baseball running surveys, and, and rumors that the Rio was going to be blown up toward down. And that's really gonna put a major league baseball stadium within the next ten years. That is another. That's another good sign. That is probably going to happen. An a little known fact in lasting. I'll say regarding gambling less. Yeah. Something else question wise. Is there? The, the, the perception of all the pro sports in their commissioners in there. You know, the leaves in what not has always said the I league that went into Las Vegas will be very successful there. And obviously that's day. NHL. Mcphee in the Golden Knights. And as you can see they're very successful in terms of the fan base, how how the community is rallied around the Golden Knights. They've turned the tragic events of one October into a positive. They really use that to, to spin it, and in ingratiate themselves, in the Vegas community were now that is that's home team forever like the fans in the people Las Vegas. Love the Golden Knights even people that aren't from there that were there like myself that was there for one October in the city you really have a different connection with them. And I wasn't I wasn't I was just going to cover them. Sell case a good team. You know, is the local team, you know, let's hopefully, they do well, in the next few years, hopefully, a works out that, that's you know, that, that's your thinking. But then, when that happens, you know, and you grew up a king fan like myself in Los Angeles, southern California is almost as if like. Dr Malek they gotta win. They gotta win for these for the for the people that were victims and for the people that survive they have to win for, for the city and then it's like it becomes addictive becomes like a drug and he gets in your veins, and you're just you're like you become crazed in, in, in, in saturated with a that's what pro sports, and that's what the Golden Knights have done to the city of Las Vegas and now with the raiders coming which already, which was almost like the gateway team. And then you get the Golden Knights which is kind of like a harder drug once the raiders come in, they're going to be like the alternate these other sports teams win, if they start to come in the cities is going to gravitate towards him. I mean look at the the aviators as AAA team in Las Vegas all their outdrawing on a nightly basis, the Miami Marlins, like ninety eight hundred people on the Marlins have like ninety one hundred. So when you look at that it just goes to show you. Exactly. What type town Las Vegas when it comes to sports. Yeah. And do pick up on that. Evil are gravitating towards the nights and everything because they're also winning. But the winning because of the city is trying them because everyone, you know is behind them because that energy that the fans bring in Vegas, it's a different type of energy that computer other places..

"I got into a fight with one. And I thought I was going to beat the mess out of them. He got me out there. And man, he hit me a couple of times. And I was like oh dang this could really go hard to paint. Okay. I'm in trouble. And so, you know, I thought back, but still I overestimated are underestimated that dude and almost ended up big time trouble. But so I don't know if they're car could be that guy. I don't look at him as a fighter. I just I just don't I'm sorry. They're not trying to you know, what I mean. I I just don't see him as that. Did this is where I disagree with you. I got car for variety reasons. K one break this down. From from from just tell the tape. Okay. He's younger first of all he weighs more than me. And he's he's working out more. So you know, he's got power behind. His punches Stephen has reached even as I six three six four tall, brother. So he's got he's got long got that reach. He could probably keep them way with jet. See here's where and seems as from is from New Yorkers from Brooklyn. Yes. So he's from BT decay, but see their cards from Bakersfield, and if you're a California p person or Bakersfield Bakersfield and barstool mixed up, but he's from Bakersfield do. What's in Bakersfield, not a damn thing? There's nothing bagels. Look Bakersfield is is the spot that you meet somebody halfway like, oh, I'm coming from. Yeah. I'm coming for Vegas. Just meet me in Bakersfield, I'll drop this off to your kid off to your with it. That's the media plays. I know for experience. So so so you look at that as like, okay, you're into armpit of California Bakersfield, the the most famous people to come out of Bakersfield beside the cars, I believe Matt Barnes Barnes's from Bakersfield. And then you got Nick D as in his brother, the you have fighters. So so yeah. So you figure during nothing doing Bakersfield book thrown if you got an opportunity, so if you're not playing football, there's only a couple of things you probably gonna be doing. We're going to keep this this initial class clean because I'm not gonna say smoke met and have sex. But hey, I'm the saying there's not that much to do Bakersville. Now. Maybe I don't know true. But the end of the day I like car because of that because he is that Bakersfield he's got that little edge to them. And I think you see a little bit more than grooving bringing that out of car wants to be coached hard. And I think that at this point. This is a good thing for Derek Carr. I think he's going to get in a position to where that that. This is going to bring something out of him almost like when farve win the rehab, and he came out just so laser focused then putting a Super Bowl that year. I don't think there's anywhere close to when the Super Bowl right now. As of today, not even close, but the have your quarterback get in. And and being that, I think they can they owe max inste- and Stephen a Smith. Thank you to have the quarterback come out and show this publicly. Yeah, I agree. I think that you know, this is good to get Derek Carr fired up. I will say again, then I think Stephen April has that. Oh school. I'm at the YMCA that old man strength that we know, you know, I mean seriously like I mean because I play hoops right now at the CIA, and I don't have the athletes where I could jump out the gym anymore..

"There was distractions from before the time they season even began with the trade of Khalil Mack. And then to trade of Cooper midseason, and then is Gruden worth one hundred million. The problem wasn't Derek card. It was everything else. But Derek card. Yeah. I agree with that. I mean, there's a lot of things that their car did that raider fans in general were not happy about. But he was not the biggest issue, you know. And I'm the guy that feels like there's a lot of problems that the raiders need to address this off season draft is the biggest raiders history. I'll be on record saying that. I don't think there's a big draft ever. I'm serious. I mean, go back to the raiders drafts. I don't think there's another draft that was bigger than this coming up because if they fail on this one having three first round draft picks gets two years. It's going to set the raiders back is going to send them back song. Exactly. So that's gonna be detrimental. It's going to be death. If they don't get it. Right. So that's why I think the the biggest and the most important draft ever in the history of the raiders, I'll go ahead and double down on that. But you know, there's there's there's problems outside of Derek Carr. And yes, he needs to get weapons. And I think halfway through the season. I think he or when Amari Cooper still there. I think he lost confidence and Cooper. You know, I think there. Has a lot of things going on you mentioned Khalil Mack. That was obviously one of those things that was devastating and nobody ever believed that that was going to happen. I sure did. And I was like no way they're going to trade him it ended up happening. But guess what? Even if you add what Khalil Mack did with the Scotto bears in two thousand eighteen he twelve and a half sacks the raiders thirteen that's twenty five and a half. They was still be thirty first in the league and sacks. So obviously, they have they need more than just Khalil Mack. They need a lot more. So they've they've got plenty of holes that they need to feel. They've have they got a lot of ammunition to Phil's. But they've gotta get it. And they gotta get it. Right. Well, let's and we didn't even have this rundown. Let's talk about the clue accentuation. Okay. I was told in tweeted this out. I talk to you about publicly, and privately that of never trying to get a deal done up until that Friday night right with him. They made him at offer where it was ninety million in twenty got up to twenty one million guaranteed and match people were stuck on that twenty three thousand. Adding to people I know in the building that told me such they got the twenty one million guaranteed in that ninety and they were stuck in that twenty three. Cuisine. Aaron Donald was the most important thing. Then he had a number. He wasn't going to budge and doubt point more. Davis said enough is enough. If you're not willing to work with us utilize wanna be here enough. We're going to go ahead and trade you, and I'm gonna say something right now that's gonna piss off a ton of people Khalil Mack is overpaid. Look at look at where was he at in eagles game. The last drive was he affective at all the bears are knocked out the playoff this go back to week one. His biggest plays in that game came against the Sean Kaiser of the Packers not Aaron Rodgers and then that lasts series when you're getting paid that money. I remember him chasing down Rambo and feeling to do. So and falling out. He's playing he played a good half of football in almost every game. And then he missed some games for whatever reason would've injury, or whatever it may have been first time in his career this ever happened. So yes, you're paying this dude all this money, and he got flow and a half sacks. Aaron Donald have what twenty. That's worth the money. And he's playing the cover position playing inside as a tackle. Not just got us going to rush past any as the play the run will. That's Aaron Donald is worth the money include Machias overpaid. So I don't think Rudge the raiders..

You know, I really enjoy it. Obviously, I'm a guy from the bay originally and been all over now missile, Texas. I got family there in in Vegas in.
