A highlight from Mindful Gifting for Caregivers and Dementia Navigators

"Remember the joy of unwrapping a thoughtful gift that was just the right fit for you? Well, being a caregiver doesn't diminish that need, it just changes it. Today, I have the pleasure of welcoming Elizabeth Miller from the Happy Healthy Caregiver podcast, who brings with her an array of gift giving ideas for caregivers and those living with dementia. Our conversation zigzags through a spectrum of unique gifts, focusing on both physical items and shared experiences. Welcome to Fading Memories, a podcast for caregivers of loved ones with dementia. I'm your host, Jennifer Fink. My mom had Alzheimer's for 20 years, and when I went looking for answers, I had to start a podcast to find them. Join me as we navigate the challenges of dementia caregiving together. This podcast is your beacon of support and empowerment. Let's share our experiences, find solace, and discover the strength within us. Get ready to embark on a transformative caregiving journey with Fading Memories. If you're looking for additional advice, be sure to sign up for our weekly email newsletter. It's brief, gives you great advice, you can read it in less than five minutes, and you know where to find the link. It's in the website, on the show notes. We're working on subscriber -only information and specials, so you're not going to want to miss out. When I learned that despite eating as healthy as possible, we can still have undernourished brains, I was frustrated. Learning about neuro reserves, Relev8, and how it's formulated to fix this problem convinced me to give them a try. Now I know many of you are skeptical, as was I. However, I know it's working because of one simple change. My sweet tooth is gone. I didn't expect that, and it's not something other users have commented on, but here's some truth. My brain always wanted something sweet. Now fruit usually did the trick, but not always. One bad night's sleep would fire up my sugar cravings so much they were almost impossible to ignore. You ever have your brain screaming for a donut? Well, for me, those days are gone. I believe in my results so much that I'm passing on my 15 % discount to you. Try it for two or three months and see if you have a miraculous sweet tooth cure, or maybe just better focus and clarity. It's definitely worth a try. Now on with our show. Hello, hello, you guys are gonna love today because we're talking about gifts and gift giving for people with dementia. And it's a perfect day to discuss that because today is my daughter's birthday. So I would wish her a happy birthday, but she's not a listener. So what I will do is thank Elizabeth Miller from the Happy Healthy Caregiver podcast for coming on and sharing her gift guide and her knowledge. So thanks for joining us today, Elizabeth. Thank you for having me, I'm excited to be here. Awesome, I know we haven't done one together. I was on your show a while ago, but you haven't been online. Yes, vice versa. Yes, I love Fading Memories and I love that it's part of the whole care network. Definitely, so. We're all part of the same family. So you've been podcasting for six years as well, right? Yep, I'm in my sixth season. I launched in November's National Family Caregivers Month. So happy National Family Caregivers Month, everybody. And that was a launch. I try to do some kind of special every year, but I think I don't really have a launch this year. Just keep on keeping on. I've been really focusing on the speaking part of my business and really trying to get out there as far as reaching different companies and organizations to scale the caregiving support. Yes, it's definitely something we need. So where should we start? Do you wanna start with gifts for caregivers or gifts for people living with dementia? Let's, I mean, I'm always one to put the caregivers first. So like - Sounds like a plan. Yeah, so I think when it comes to buying gifts for caregivers, anything is probably going to be appreciated, right? We're just so grateful that somebody has been thinking about us and has us top of mind. But there's a lot of different things you can do, I think, for a family caregiver. And of course I also like self -care focused ones because not only are you giving them a gift, but you're giving them a tool of something that can help them mitigate burnout. So anything from like stuff that they would use like every day, we just had this in the fall, we have a sister's weekend and we do this favorite things party. Have you ever heard of that? Where we decided we were gonna each bring three things. We were gonna be $25 or less. This might be a great idea for someone to do as a swap exchange for their book club or their caregiver support group or whatnot. But I brought three of the same things. We kind of presented them, they're not wraps. But I got a lot of good ideas there this year for things like we had the things to clean our glasses, which would be a good thing for, they're called peeps. They're good for caregivers and for care recipients. Anybody who's wearing sunglasses even because they get grody, right? Very practical gift constantly. And then we had things like I'm wearing it now, actually. I love this Maybelline Lifter Gloss. It's affordable, it tastes good. Not that you're eating it, but you're gonna get some in your mouth on something. Smells good, it stays on decent. So I had brought that as part of mine. And then there was some cool body scrubs and lotions from, I think it was called La La Licious. So I think anything that can help us, oh, a boom stick was another one. It was like stuff that, this would be a very handy little makeup tool for a caregiver because you can put some quick color on your face, you can use it on your lips. Like it's one of those try it anywhere type of things. That's something you could like throw in your purse or your bag and when you look in the mirror and go, oh, it kind of looks so painful. Emergency, emergency. Yeah, put it, throw it in your self care tote. So I think little things like that, everybody's got different budgets these days as far as stuff that you can use. We did this, I do a Happy Healthy Caregiver virtual cafe is kind of every other month I do different kind of support where I wanna do some kind of a unique event for caregivers and introduce them to something. We had a Zentangle consultant come and teach us how to Zentangle. And it's basically like you're creating patterns. It's an abstract art, but it's very meditative. And she had given away as part of a prize this Sakura Zentangle artist tool set, it's like $20. But the thing with Zentangle is you use these little paper and you use like a micro tip pen. And so it's the little kit for that. And I like it because it's portable. You could throw it again in a self -care tote bag and pull it out just to kind of like, I need a mindful moment quick. Cause I'm a journaler, I love my journal of course, but I got that here too, the Just For You daily self -care journal, it's a prompted journal. And this is one form of meditation and doing that, but the Zentangle and an art journaling is another type of where it just gives you calm and peace. I can tell you, I felt very differently at the beginning of that session than I did at the end of the session. So something creative there. But I think too, when you're given a gift for anybody, whether it's a caregiver or care recipient, like just thinking about that person and what they naturally like and what they care about or what they maybe have mentioned to you in conversation could be something that would spark something. I was thinking, unless you know for sure they have a green thumb, don't give people a plant. They don't need something else to take care of. Yeah, I think as caregivers, right, we crave less things to take care of. The only exception I have to that would be the, I did get an AeroGarden one year, it's like for herbs. Right now I have basil, my basil is like taken off. And even if I can't use it in what I'm cooking, cause I'm not like this huge culinary chef, I learned this tip from another caregiver, Lisa Negro, where she said, she rubs it in her hands and smells the basil on her hands. I've been using it to freshen up my garbage disposal. Like I literally take some leaves off of it and put it in there to make it smell better. That's a really good idea. And I have a good idea cause I have the same issue. I have two pots with basil in it. I mentioned the other day, we needed to do a pasta dish with pesto. My husband was like, why? And he's like, oh, nevermind, I know why. Cause the plants are like big. It's pesto time. Yeah, it's like, and that's not something we normally eat a lot of anyway, cause you know, a lot of olive oil, it's not the healthiest sauce, but it is tasty. But I have been making basil mayonnaise and you basically just grind up, I think it's like half a cup of mayo and a third a cup of basil. I just do it to taste cause when I did it per the instructions, it needed a little more basil and I had a little more basil, so I threw it in there. And I am telling you, that is, that makes lunch just - Oh yeah, it's just like a little extra special and all you need is, you know, food processor or you know, maybe a blender, I don't have a blender. So I just use the food processor, grind it up and - Sounds yummy. It is really good and it's, you know, I throw just a touch of lemon juice in it just to kind of give it, you know, a little extra, what do they call it? Brightness, which that's a very strange culinary term, but yeah, it's delicious and it's, you know, you just plop in however much mayonnaise you need and then keep adding basil until it tastes the way you want it to taste, super easy. Never thought to use that. I think like little things like that, where you take something that people are doing all the time and you can maybe elevate it a little bit. So think about like, if someone's a tea drinker, you know, how could you make that special? Like, you know, tea, splurging on teas that they might not buy for themselves or the presentation of it and packaging it all together, maybe with some biscotti or something like that. Like it just like treat them, treat them to something spectacular. I also think anything pampering, like a massage gun or a silk pillowcase or a obviously nail appointment for their, you know, find out from their person where they go for those types of things and a gift certificate to that. I'm a big reader. So like reading is really fun for me, but sometimes, you know, there's lights now that you can get. I don't wanna hold a flashlight at night. I don't necessarily like reading a Kindle book all the time. So, but there's lights that you can light up and I can think of caregivers using that cause sometimes we're doing those things in very precocious types of places. What else would be good? I mean, any kind of activity that you can help encourage. I'm into pickleball recently. Have you tried to explore pickleball, Jennifer? No, there is a big pickleball teams in our community. I have very wacky vision. So I don't have depth perception. I have blazey eye and it wasn't corrected until I was four. So I could very, very much understand my mom's visual processing problems because I have similar ones myself. I don't realize, I know I don't have depth perception, but it's been this way my entire life. So, it's not abnormal for me, but I don't like balls getting hurled at me cause I'm ducking and I'm not trying to hit it back. I could probably play with the hubby, but you'd have to hit the ball gently towards me or else it's not gonna be very fun. Yeah, yeah. Well, I love it cause it's an accessible sport. It's definitely geared, it's for all ages, frankly, but something like that could be fun. Like, hey, let's, I think experiences are amazing. Let's take a pickleball lesson together. Let me take you on a hike. I got you this fun little hat and I looked up a hiking trail, something where you can really be someone's self -care cheerleader and have some kind of an experience together, a cooking class, a lesson of some sort where it's kind of a twofer, right? They're learning something and they're getting away from the caregiving world for a moment. And if you're looking for cooking classes, I did one through King Arthur Baking. It was called Pizza Perfected and it was on Zoom cause they're in freaking Vermont. So I'm not getting there anytime soon. Totally want to go, I use tons of their recipes, but yeah, it's like, I don't know how we got into just really, we really like to make our own pizza at home. We haven't done it for a while cause life, but it's not that hard, especially when somebody walks you through it and they sent you the video after, you know, like the next day. So you got to do it live and I think it was like 40 bucks. It wasn't expensive and it was at least two hours. And I have the video, it's saved in my Dropbox files and I can access it if, you know, cause there's some techniques that you don't necessarily know, you know, and I mean, just learning that technique was worth the 40 bucks, but it was a nice experience. So if you can't get out or, you know, I don't, I live in the Sierra foothills, so I don't live near things, even though I'm only an hour north of the state Capitol. It's like, there's some pros and cons to smaller air, quieter areas, depending on the day, sometimes the cons outweigh the pros, but yeah, there's, and I'm sure there's other places that do online cooking. I bet there are. And even, you know, maybe your person, your caregiver is not a person who enjoys cooking at all. And then, you know, I know for me, I used to dread the question as a sandwich generation working caregiver, like what's for dinner? And I'm like, oh, why do these people have to eat all the time? So something like that could be, you know, a subscription to like the green chef or some kind of prepared meals, or even like a Uber Eats or a DoorDash gift card for those, what are we gonna eat emergencies? I think all of that, I mean, just putting yourself in the mind of all the things, if you're a caregiver listening, like what you wish you had and what would have been helpful for you, having someone mow the lawn, like, or I'm gonna do your laundry this week. Like there's a lot of things too that even if you don't have a budget, like just showing up for someone else and doing something, taking something off of their plate would be amazing. Yeah, you could offer to help put up decorations for the holidays or you could offer to help do some deep spring cleaning, which the only reason that's coming to mind today is my golden retriever goes to the dog park regularly and the dog park has its own lake.

"Brought to you by the loan experts I trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandtodd.com. Joining us now is the legendary Raheem Kassam who lands more Trump interviews than anybody else. Congratulations, Raheem. It's like if I want to see what Trump has to think, he just calls Raheem on the plane or in the office. So you're doing a great job. Raheem, there's a lot going on in the Western world right now. We have Ireland that is bubbling up and we have a lot happening domestic politically as well. So I want to ask here, just have you walk us through, how do you see the Republican race, Republican primary race, Koch brothers behind Nikki Haley? What are we supposed to make of that? Well, and thank you for having me, Charlie, and thank you for the kind words. The first thing that comes to mind when you look at Koch world, Koch network, choosing to endorse Nikki Haley is obviously the megabucks, right? That's a war chest that any candidate would love to get their hands on, on any side. Historically, you know, the Kochs have poured hundreds of millions into races over the last couple of years alone. Probably runs into much more than that over the last 20 odd years. And the second part of it that people need to understand is that so many people that are in the DeSantis camp actually have worked for or with Koch-aligned and affiliated organizations over their political histories. So for instance, if you take, you know, Ken Cuccinelli had received, when he was AG, large amounts of money from Koch networks. You have DeSantis spokesman, Carly Acheson, who was defending her former boss, Governor Kevin Stitt, taking money from Koch networks previously. And Christina Pushaw as well, the spokesman for Ron DeSantis, the rapid response spokesman for Ron DeSantis, has also worked closely with Koch networks. So you've got to look at it from that perspective as to why they find it so much of a humiliation, so much of a snub that that organization, America's Prosperity, and probably the broader Koch network as well, is now going to be supporting somebody else. Somebody else who has been eating Team DeSantis' lunch for a couple of weeks now, who is fundraising just as much as them, who is going up in the polls, not down or flatlining. And, you know, I'm not a huge Nikki Haley fan by any stretch of the imagination. But her campaign is clearly more disciplined. She's clearly impressing donors much more. And yes, they are, you know, I've never been a fan of the Koch networks. They are more open borders, more globalist types, more corporate types. But at the same time, like I said at the very beginning, these candidates would kill to get their hands on that kind of money.

Brought to you by the loan experts I trust Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandtodd .com. Joining us now is Sean Davis CEO and co -founder of The Federalist. Sean I'm tired of losing. I'm sick of losing. I'm a big football fan. It's my weakness. I know I get a lot of hate mail for it. Oh it's woke. I don't care and one of the things about football is if you lose you get fired. At the RNC though if you lose you remain. Explain this to me Sean. I don't know it seems like that's almost a fact of politics anymore. Is it the watching these debates for example. Why on earth are people who hate us and hate people who read us and follow us and hate what we believe. Why are we letting them run these debates and attack our people. It would almost be like giving the Yankees front office the ability to interview anyone who's going to go and play for the Red Sox or like letting the Redskins and I still call them the Redskins and I always will. Letting the Redskins coach like pick who's going to play for the Cowboys. It's so dumb and yet we seem to do it debate after debate and year after year and I simply don't understand it at all. Yeah and so I want to play a piece of tape here. So Ronna McRomney was asked about her involvement in Virginia and it's always deflection. It's blaming other side and Larry O 'Connor who's a total superstar. I really like Larry. He's been in the movement for quite some time. He's so calmly and beautifully asked this question was like hey why wasn't the RNC more involved. His reaction afterwards is just epic. So let's play this piece of tape here. It's always somebody else's fault. It's never the national party's fault. Play cut 155. You don't let people lie about you and let it not let it go unanswered. Let it go unanswered and our candidates have got to do this. You can walk and chew gum at the same time. You can go and say this is where I stand. The Democrats are lying and now let's talk about crime, schools, border, fentanyl, and national security. I just want to clarify one quick thing though. The RNC had no involvement in these elections in Virginia per Governor Youngkin's request. We not well we were told in the summer they didn't need us that they had all the money and they were good. So now we've learned that the Virginia GOP chair Rich Anderson says that he asked the RNC to match the Democrats with one million dollars of a late cash infusion into the state. The RNC the only excuse they have is they can't raise money but that was supposed to be an thing. honest She said well we have no money but you're not raising any money because donors don't trust you the grassroots don't trust you. Sean help me understand. Yeah you've got two jobs as a as a party leader. You raise money and you set up state -by -state infrastructure so that the party can succeed which means by the way getting out to vote and setting up get out to vote infrastructure. So your your job is to supposed to raise a truckload of money and you're supposed to set up everything so that we can match the other side match the Democrats and how they get out the vote how they do ballot chase and all that. I've seen like I don't pay attention all that much to the fundraising so I won't I won't comment on that but it's been almost four years since a completely absurd election in 2020 when the Democrats just ran circles around us in in their absentee ballot chase their mail -in chase. I haven't seen a whole lot of evidence and that in states where we really need to win like Arizona and Georgia that either the state party or the national party is doing much of anything to make sure the Dems don't run in 2024 the exact same playbook they ran against us in 2020. So I'm I'm honestly kind of befuddled I feel like I'm watching office space watching the Bob's interview the employees and thinking what would you say you do here because I can't figure it out. So moving forward here Sean let's emphasize on the NBC news thing so we're after a very disappointing night and then Lester Holt and Welker are cross -examining our candidates just I want just the most objective way you could look at it what candidate do you think separated themselves from the other and who do you think missed an opportunity at that debate? Oh I thought Hveke was awesome I love how he came right out of the gate and trashed the moderators and basically said you're a whole bunch of Russian collusion hoaxers like who do you think you are that's how you handle these moderators and and I think Newt Gingrich was the one who who provided a perfect model for this he did it in during the 2012 primary where every time he got a question in one of these debates from a total left -wing hack masquerading as a journalist he just took him to town so you know your premise is garbage you're full of crap I think you're liars and here's what I'm going to talk about instead of the uh was fantastic um it's hard for me to say who the loser was in these because they kind of feel like loser debates to me and in the first place it's like watching the kids table so um I think the whole debate thing in it in and of itself we need to have a discussion about um but but I thought Hveke and the way he handled the moderators was great and I wish every single Republican from now until forever would treat these hack propagandists the exact same way. So I totally agree and I'll just say this you know Ron DeSantis received the first question and he gave his kind of typical and by the way he's the best governor in America I want everyone to be very clear I get hate mail when I say that Ron DeSantis remains the best governor in America he's not a good presidential candidate he's running a poor campaign it's the brutal honest truth and it's hard to watch he gives this fine answer you know I'm Ron DeSantis and people can't pay for gas and bah bah bye feel your pain yeah whatever Ron how awesome you were just you it was like a t -ball you could have went right after NBC news you could have just used them as the villain and the vague kind of picked up you know the trillion dollar bill that was laying right there and he called for Rana's resignation on top of it it was Rana's resignation the RNC is a bunch of losers we have a culture of losing and NBC news you guys are the complete worst and he got the headlines honestly he got the headlines across the head you know across the board and people really appreciate it because they want a fighter so let me ask you uh kind of shifting gears here Sean Joe Manchin not running for the senate the significance of this and how should we think about a potential no labels candidacy that is bubbling up with Millard Willard Mitt Romney and Mr. Manchin yeah so I got a kick out of Manchin's press release that he put out and said you know I've accomplished what I want to do in my career and I'm very proud of what I've done and and I have hopes of doing other things buddy you're retiring and not running again because you were going to get your butt kicked because you were Joe Biden's little laugh dog when you were supposed to be representing uh West Virginia voters so I think we need to be honest about why he's not going to be a senator again and it's because no one in his own state likes him the people who know him best don't want him as their senator anymore and and that's why he's not going to be running again so you bring up Mitt Romney uh man they are they are birds of a feather in that thing Mitt Romney's only the only consistent thing he has done his entire career in politics is run he gets in once and then he does such a poor job that everyone in the state hates him so he can't run again so he just finds like a new state to run you know he was a one -term governor in Massachusetts he got smoked in the presidential so he decided to move to Utah and run for senate there and no one likes him there anymore because he's a jerk uh and so what does he have left to do the only thing that Joe Manchin has left to do which is avoid any actual real job and just stay in politics and find a bunch of left -leaning voters who pretend they're independent but you can bilk and make a living off of so that's what's happening with Joe Manchin and I can't take this no label stuff seriously at all it's just a grift for a bunch of idiots who are hated by the left and hated by the right don't want to get a real job and have no home to go to go back to by the way Federalist you guys do great work it's really amazing just 30 seconds rip on the Federalist how are things going there you guys are one of the most important outlets in the conservative movement well you're very kind to say that thank you um the Federalist is uh it's an online media publication we do a lot of fantastic commentary original reporting our editor -in -chief is Molly Hemingway who literally wrote the book on on the rigged election of 2020 we unmasked the Russia collusion hoax we unmasked the Kavanaugh rape hoax and unlike a lot of many other publications that pretend to be on the right we actually love conservatives and we we love our readers and we love our voters and we want to be their voice and make them as loud as possible so people in Washington can hear them and not vice versa Sean uh stay right there we'll get right back and everyone check out federalist .com for you and we have a video to accompany it in a second will John Fetterman cost Joe Biden the election divisions among democrats over Israeli -Palestinian conflict have highlighted the fault with lines in the party John Fetterman's actions are unlikely to sway the presidential election Pennsylvania however it does show that there are fault lines in the democrat party first of all I'm not a fan of John Fetterman but the guy is a master class troll every republican could take a class in how to troll like John Fetterman is basically if reddit became a U .S. senator I don't know if you saw this video but it's just you know you have this guy that looks like cyclops walking you know in a hoodie with the Israeli flag walking did you see this video on the funniest thing I've ever seen and all these people are getting arrested honestly I respect that level of game and this his base he's trolling so Sean you know let's broaden this a little bit outside of just Fetterman doing the trolling is this which is um the fault lines the democrat party over Israel the Palestine issue I don't want to overplay this I think this is the most divided I've seen the democrats in recent memory am I right on saying that Sean I think you are and I think it explains why the institutional left why Joe Biden and the party leadership uh walk on eggshells on this issue which really shouldn't be a difficult issue um you know people shouldn't be rolling into Israel and murdering babies and raping people and filming it and bragging about it that's bad I feel like anyone who has a soul understands that's bad but unfortunately there's a significant segment of the left the far left um it hates Israel hates Jews and when they see party leadership uh like Joe Biden and anyone else uh say common sense things uh about Israel they lose their minds and that that explains everything about why the democrats are handling this as poorly as they are is it Joe Biden is terrified that he's going to lose the presidential election because he's going to lose Michigan because he's going to lose Dearborn Michigan that's that big thing explained everything it's everything that's going on it has nothing to do with principle they're just scared about what their loony left is going to do to them if they don't kowtow to Hamas yeah and it's just but also beyond that Sean there are radicalized white liberals that care about the Gaza issue as well it's not just the Muslim vote right this could impact on their college campus enthusiasm and you play that in with some Jill Stein Cornell West I mean there are serious fault lines in this forced democrat coalition oh absolutely the the hardcore uh white left uh is is every bit as anti -semitic as the uh the bread by the way in in left wing run universities who view the entire world through this oppressor oppressed colonialist victim uh perspective and so yeah your your most rabid anti -semites often on college campuses are these hardcore left -wing white radicals it's totally bizarre but if you watch the media you watch the media the only anti -semites on earth are on the right which is absurd if you have eyes and ears and a brain because it's clearly concentrated on the left final question Sean your just gut reaction Tucker Carlson vice president for Donald Trump I love it I love Tucker uh I think it'd be great it'd be great for America um he's one of the only people who who says all the things that we all think but aren't allowed to say he actually comes out and says it and uh I love him I think it'd be awesome I think we would win especially in a multi -candidate race we're gonna keep on building it out Sean thanks so much appreciate it thank you sir nobody Tucker is better in front of the camera than Tucker you're not gonna outwit him could you just imagine Tucker in a debate Tucker versus Cami Kamala Harris versus Tucker Tucker is ridiculously alert he's been harassed constantly and in an internet age as Joe Rogan famously said Tucker Carlson was built for the internet no personal scandals his laugh alone we know this at Turning Point USA you can you could fill up a room if you just announced Tucker so let's pretend Trump has to go to Fulton County and Jack Smith and he's tied up in all this court stuff wouldn't it make sense to have a vice president who could draw big crowds and draw media attention especially in a multi -candidate race everybody you want to win younger voters especially younger men Tucker Carlson you would win early 30 -somethings you would win the Rogan bros you would win the Andrew Tate people and honestly I think you'd win a lot of suburban women a lot of moms like Tucker they really do Tucker's smart he's well before I'll use it again the more he's attacked the stronger he gets they've tried to take Tucker out every possible way the government spied on him illegally Tucker doesn't care he's in a political moment that we're in doesn't that make sense I want to tell you about the Herzog Foundation we are partnering with them on some exciting stuff for years I've been talking about our nation's public schools and how they've been captured by progressive ideologues .com that's HerzogFoundation .com Joining us now is the legend Benny Johnson Benny is best known by hosting a legend you are a legend no no no I don't just I just don't throw praise unless it's earned okay I got to tell the whole story here and we'll get through it and Benny of course hosts the Benny show he's amazing we've done some really fun stuff at Turning Point USA and continue to and so but he's best he will be best when known the history books are written for being a debate coach so here I am about to take the stage at Freedom Night our Turning Point USA event and my phone is lighting up Vivek goes after the RNC Vivek goes I say what is going on because here I kind of put in the back of my mind I was like whatever you know you and Vivek were like doing somersaults off of jet skis or something you're like we're debate prepping running through the woods or I was like all right okay whatever and then as soon as I saw Vivek go after NBC News I said Benny it's Benny tell us the story Benny okay so what do I do professionally well like this has been something that I've had a tough time a question I've had a tough time answering my entire life I do pattern recognition and energy energy right like where is the base what is our energy what are the what are the patterns of the things that we hate the very most well we we hate an RNC that doesn't listen to us we hate a Republican party that won't build the wall that won't deliver for the base that delivers election wins for the RNC it is not the RNC that wins elections it is us who gets out and votes but we also hate the corporate press and so why don't we bundle both those two things into criticism of an RNC that is siding with NBC News to host a debate and ask the questions why are these debate hosts allowed to one rig another debate against Republicans why is the RNC celebrating NBC News as a debate partner when they went with Hunter Biden's laptop disinformation Russia disinformation against President Trump kneecap President Trump's why would we allow that like how like how cucked are we and how embarrassing is it for all of us that that we have to say this is our Republican party and why doesn't Rana just resign do us all a favor and simply resign and so I all I did all I did was bring those concerns to the person who I was making a documentary with that day the vague and um you know compliments to the vague he sort of so let's absorb them and and let's show the clip here so what with it because because it really was the shot heard around the world it was one of the most viral debate moments in the history of debates because Vivek said what we were all thinking Rana has a 99 disapproval rating every base every every base member all the donors I talked to they want her gone it is it transcends economic lines state lines nobody likes her unless they're on the payroll right and yet Vivek is the only one that and then NBC News on top of it this is behind the cut one fifty four because these snooty the snooty like uh persnippity moderators to be compared to Greg Gutfeld and then it'll throw off it'll throw them off their game so bad because you'll be like you you you people are clowns to us right like our base doesn't like you and it's nothing personal it's just you've earned it right you've lied to them that's right yeah yes so why are we yep be such a broken system now I want to brag on the vague because we're going to play some more here how many times Benny how many times have you and I texted or you know said good ideas to congressmen and senators they said yeah yeah they don't listen to us credit to Vivek for also being open -minded right that's a big deal that's exactly right and also Vivek who's certainly not short of podcast bookings said why isn't Elon Musk and Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson hosting debate why isn't Charlie Kirk hosting a debate Charlie why aren't you have you been asked by the RNC to host a debate no I have been attacked by the RNC in the last couple weeks definitely not asked to host the debate but I I'm I'm thankful to even be included in that list that's that's very sweet but no what but what would like why not I mean that's in the little that's in the documentary that we put up we put up a 30 -minute documentary about that debate preparation which really was just us having a conversation right like energy absorption like like where's the base right now what do they want to hear because as much as we want to talk about the number of naval ships and Hugh Hewitt know how many ships do we got like people are really concerned about other issues and specifically inside of the party like you shouldn't get rewarded for lying to us and that's what the Republican party just said they rewarded Kristen Welker and NBC News who lied to us for three years and kneecapped President Trump who we put in office in spite of them trying to rig the 2016 election we put President Trump in office and they destroyed arguably his first term based on a lie and they have never apologized they have never said they were wrong they they then get rewarded by our own RNC and it allows me to ask the question again and again how cucked are we if we can't say you get no debates until you apologize to our base for lying to us about the Russian collusion hoax then we really don't have a party and so it was refreshing to see somebody actually say that from the stage and then to call for Rana to resign which by the way you want to talk about moving the Overton window because I you know you know me Benny I I pick fights all the time and I've been kind of like beating the drum you know why is Rana Mcromany still in there you know in our little corner here and you know we're having fun and next thing you know boom Vivek goes on stage it's like yeah why are you in charge exactly and who are you and it was I mean now it's mainstream completely mainstream here's cut 166 Benny did a documentary with Vivek before the debate here is the conversation behind the scenes of Vivek deciding he will call for Rana to resign play cut 166.

"I want to thank Charlie. He's an incredible guy. His spirit, his love of this country. He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created. Turning Point USA. We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives. And we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. That's why we are here. Brought to you by the lone experts I trust. Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandtodd.com. When I first met Candace Owens at an event in Palm Beach, hosted by the David Horitz Freedom Center, she had a vision. She was so focused on this. And I was skeptical, but I said, man, if anyone has this most passion for making America a better place, I can I can get behind that. And she said, Charlie. The black community has been lied to for years, and they are in need of an exodus, an exit from the victim mentality to a victor mentality. I said, Candace, tell me more. She said, you don't understand. They're not on board for this trans thing. They are involved in the muscular class more than the laptop, Zoom and Skype class. They don't want mass migration. Many of them do not want the crime that they're seeing in their neighborhoods. And she painted this picture that if we do the work, we can start to see the fruit of black America starting to realize that they've been held captive on a Democrat plantation. Candace Owens, of course, started with us at Turning Point USA Communications Director, started Blexit, became this amazing thing. Now Blexit is part of Turning Point USA. And obviously Candace Owens is doing an amazing job with the Candace Owens show and Brandon Tatum. And there is this growing group. And it is incredible to witness for the last couple of years. We had the Young Black Leadership Summit at the White House. We did multiple of those at Turning Point USA. Candace Owens, the first person that I saw, used the term Democrat plantation. Now we're hearing it all across the board. And it kind of became a fixation going into 2020. Will black America define the 2020 election? And then we had Floyd-a-palooza and a lot of BLM narratives. And it didn't materialize politically and electorally like some of us hoped. But in recent years, we're seeing more and more evidence that the vision of Candace Owens, of Brandon Tatum, of so many other amazing black patriotic conservatives that get called the worst names on the planet, that get smeared and slandered, that there is real momentum. Candace would tell me time and time, Charlie you don't understand, this BLM thing is nothing more than a white liberal synthetic glaze.

Brought to you by the loan experts I trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandtodd .com. Do we want to win? That's such an obvious question. The great rush Limbaugh taught us that establishment Republicans deep down don't want to win. They want to be controlled opposition, have the media to cover fire for them, be invited to cocktail parties, go on codels, do debates with NBC News. Winning requires responsibility and deep down Republicans would rather be attachés, they would rather be puppets and controlled by the Democrats. This is why Donald Trump was such a threat to them. When Donald Trump actually won it was shock and awe throughout of Washington D .C. Wait, we actually won something? Donald Trump's insistence on winning is not something the Republican establishment wants. They would rather lose all throughout. The RNC leadership does not want to win. They have a track record of losing. Do I get any sort of, did you guys see Ronna or any of those cabal members get upset today? No, they're too busy doing a debate with NBC News because they hate you. Joining us now is Harmeet Dillon. Harmeet, welcome to the program. Harmeet, you sent out a tweet of you just with your hands up. What do you think? Yeah, I mean, I'm, look, I'm trying to be diplomatic here, I'm a member of the RNC, but in reality what I and all the other 156, 168 members of the RNC expect is that we are going to be going strong and doing the blocking and tackling for our candidates and creating the best situation for our candidates to win. And what happened yesterday was not that. Now, the RNC is not the only body whose job it is to elect a publicist. In fact, our main focus is supposed to be electing a president. I'll get to that in a minute. But we ought to be providing guidance and sort of a playbook for state parties to be able to get it right. For a while, to be frank, state parties have also not necessarily done their jobs in raising the money necessarily, but you know, you look at Kentucky, the Republican Governors Association's job is to raise the money and spend it so that our candidate does not outspend three or four to one. We need help with messaging. We need to update our playbook to make sure that we're gathering the ballots and getting those local density ballots in early, like the Democrats are doing, and that's not a volunteer activity anymore. Democrats are spending billions of dollars doing that over the last few election cycles, and we're just not even doing a drop in the bucket compared to that. So, you know, RNC's competence is necessary but not sufficient to win these elections. And I hope yesterday was a wake up call to all Republicans that we have less than one year to really get our act together and immediately engage and get this right. Otherwise, we are going to be looking at years of war and misery like we're suffering right now. So, Harmeet, just there's a debate tonight. It's kind of perplexing to do a debate with NBC News. Are other members of the RNC equally as confused? People are pretty puzzled by some of these choices to be frank, but most of us have no input in it. I used to be on the executive committee of the RNC. I'm not right now. We have a debate committee. I have a couple of friends on the debate committee and, you know, frankly even some of them are surprised by some of these choices, not just the venues that we're doing them for the platforms but also the specific moderators have been selected. It seems almost pointless or like fiddling while Rome is burning to be engaging with the far left here and letting them dictate the terms of our candidate selection. I'm not paying attention to that, to be honest with you. I'm really worried about what's happening in our country, what happened yesterday and figuring out how we can work around our national effort and make sure this gets done in the states or we're doing them. So, I'm going to ask a hypothetical that isn't so hypothetical. Hypothetical for you, not hypothetical for me. Is there a way to recall or remove an RNC chair this far into the game? You know, in the past, hypothetically, where there have been chairs who have failed completely, the executive committee of the Republican National Committee can certainly step in and, let's say, tighten the purse strings, set some boundaries, and make it very difficult. But, you know, Ronna got a mandate in January. She won pretty decisively. People ask me, are you going to confess that? No, I'm not going to confess. She definitely won the election with a significant percentage of the votes and there were major political operatives in our country on the Republican side whipping votes for her and there are many, many political consultants who really run the party who are very invested in the way it is. So, I don't really see that happening. So, you know, while it's convenient to pick a scapegoat we RNC for what happened yesterday, we got to get it together and not just complain on Twitter. We actually have to just understand this is the situation that we have and work around it. There are state parties. It is the job of state parties to get money and get it together and get a game play. Election laws vary by state. Some states have voter ID. Some states have 45 days of early voting. Whatever the situation is in your state, if you can't change it by election day, figure it out and learn how to master it. We've done that in California, for example. You know, we hate the system, but we've learned to figure out where we can win elections, ballot harvest, ballot cure, and get it done. And we do win those targeted elections. Yeah, Harmeet, I have a serious concern that we don't have the infrastructure necessary to win coming into next November. We are running out of time. You sent a tweet, you sent a tweet out some of this and you said this, which is the infrastructure is just not there. You know, we're not seeing the sort of consolidation of resources. And Harmeet, I know you have to be diplomatic because you're colleagues, all these people. But I'm going to say something I'm sure you're hearing. This is not just a grassroots concern. High level donors, the richest people, are actually saying very similar things as the grassroots as far as why do why are we not placing these investments? This is an unprecedented chapter where the rank and file precinct committeeman, the plumber, the electrician, the welder, the teacher, the mom is saying the same thing as the person worth a couple hundred million dollars. Are you hearing that too, Harmeet? I am hearing it. I spoke to some donor representatives just earlier this week of billionaire donors, reliable conservative donors. Quite a few of those folks supported change with the RNC. They didn't see it. And they're sitting on their hands right now. And that's unfortunate because these investments can't happen in October next year. They can't happen and they can't there can't be like, OK, let's call up some volunteer lawyers in September and hopefully they'll put down their laptops and go into the field and stuff. That's not how the Democrats do it. And since 2004, Democrat billionaires and big donors have been systematically and in a disciplined way, investing in legal warfare, investing in ballot harvesting, investing in smart tactical development of ballot measures and other bait, if you will, to get their voters to the polls, the high propensity voters. They have the money to pay the mules, gather these ballots and get them in. We are 20 years behind now. And, you know, I feel like watching a debate tonight is like fiddling while home is burning. It is not relevant to winning the election next year. Now, it has to be done. We can't skip this process. But, you know, I wonder why we're doing it with unfriendly moderators and platforms. It seems like a lost opportunity. Bottom line, if we have been investing in lawfare and in the army of ballot gatherers that we need, like, by the way, Turn Point Action is doing. Tyler's been out there doing that work. It's inspiring and it's important. There need to be a hundred Tyler's and a hundred Turn Point Actions out there doing this work in different states. There's, you know, some party patriots and other groups are doing it, but we just aren't doing enough of it. We have to have more. And yesterday needs to be a five alarm fire wake up call. Do not expect largesse from D .C. to save our butts. OK. Organize at the state and local level and find the local lawyers. And I can help with that. Find the people necessary and prepare the ground. Because if we don't, I mean, literally as we speak, my partners are flying around the country defending the right of President Trump to be on the ballot. This is extraordinary that the banana republics, that the regime tries to prevent the most popular opposition candidate from being free or from being on the ballot. That's what's happening in America right now. So, you know, that's that's what's at stake. And if you get, you know, let's not just use Twitter as a sport and get on there. Oh, you know, it's X person's fault. It's Y person's fault. That doesn't move the needle. What moves the needle is putting on your big girl in boy pants, getting out there, helping raise the money and helping be the person who organizes the precincts, finds out which neighbors aren't voting and why and persuade them. And if they're not even going to do that, then find a way to persuade them to turn their ballot over and you get it in for them. That's what it's going to take. Harmeet Dillon, wish you were RNC chair. We'd be in a much better spot. Thank you so much. See you soon. My pleasure. Thanks for having me.

Joining us now is Ambassador Sam Brownback, former U .S. ambassador at large for international religious freedom. Ambassador, thank you for taking the time. The oldest Christian country in the world, Armenia, is under attack. Walk us through what's happening in Armenia right now. Well, it's basically a continuation of what Turkey tried to do to him 100 years ago. Turkey had a genocide of Armenia. It was a million Christians killed 100 years ago. Hitler famously said, who remembers the Armenians before his own genocide that he did on the Jewish people? And you see in Erdogan, the head of Turkey, pushing, prodding, allowing, enabling Azerbaijan to take over and kick out 120 ,000 Christians in Nagorno -Karabakh, which had been a Armenian settlement within Azerbaijan, and now threatening Armenia, I mean Azerbaijan is, with the backing of Turkey, to attack Armenia proper. That's what's taking place and nobody's talking about it. That's what's really discouraging about this. Yeah, so I don't understand, I mean, here we have 125 ,000 Christians that are being forcibly moved, is that right? Yes. Yeah, first of all, where's the faith community on this? I haven't heard a lot of the major Christian leaders, and God bless you for speaking out about it. What's going on? I think people get confused or they get back and forth saying, well, it's Armenia's side, it's Azerbaijan's side, it just kind of goes back and forth. Azerbaijan has played this very well on top of it. They have built a good relationship with Israel of sorts. Now, recently they didn't vote to condemn Hamas, so hopefully that's going to break that alliance some, but Azerbaijan has gotten weaponry from the United States. It's been helpful for us against Iran, but now with Turkey's backing, they're really going at these Armenian Christians and we're just not doing anything. I think most people just get kind of befuddled, well, it's a he said, she said, I'm not sure which way this is going. What has happened is 120 ,000 Armenian Christians who have lived in the same place their ancestors have for 2 ,000 years have been run out of Nagorno -Karabakh, and now they're concerned about Armenia proper being attacked by Azerbaijan. Well, yeah, talk more just about the focus of our, so we're super concerned as a country, I guess about Russia and Ukraine, for good reason Israel and the Gaza thing gets a lot of attention, but this has just been so de -emphasized and just talk more to our audience about Armenia, a Christian country, the oldest Christian country in the world, and there was a genocide of the Armenian people, but Turkey, a member of NATO, did the genocide and then it gets covered up in the western world. Talk about that. Well, this is at the end of World War I, about 1915, there's the Armenian genocide, as I mentioned earlier, about a million, could be a million and a half, Armenian Christians were just killed by the Ottoman, the falling of the Ottoman Empire, and it was just kind of, not anybody paid much attention to it. Armenia is a small Christian country that's kind of right there in the Middle East, it's an ancient Christian population, and it just gets overlooked, and then for a long period of time, Charlie, here was an issue, was their defender was Russia. Russia has defended Armenia for a long period of time, and so I think the West kind of looked at it and said, well okay, that's what the Russians are doing there, and the Armenians were fine with it, it was really a marriage of necessity that they were in that region, but recently Armenia has started to go more democratic as an open society and wanting to embrace the West. Well, as soon as you do anything like that, the Russians shoot you. They don't want anything to do with democracy, they don't want anything to do with an open society, even if it's another Christian nation, and that's really put Armenia in this situation where they're kind of swimming between two boats. They've left Russia, but the West hasn't picked them up yet, and I think that's part of the reason why you haven't seen a lot of Christian communities talking about it. Yeah, that's a good explanation, but for example, on social media there's massive uproar about the plight of the Muslims and this nonsense about Israeli genocide on Gaza, all a bunch of trash, that none of that stuff is true, and there's no sympathy at all for Christians, like nobody cares at all whatsoever. Why do you think there's so much Christian hatred? I wish I knew the answer to that one, and you see there's more persecution of Christians today in the world than any time in the history of Christendom, never been more, and it's as if the world says, you know, the Christians are the largest faith community out there, you guys are big enough to take care of yourselves, or you did this to other people in the past, you're getting it now. I don't know which, or if it's both, or what the case of it is, but you've just got large -scale Christian persecution taking place. I just saw another report today of Christians being killed in Nigeria. You're seeing the Catholic community being thrown out of Nicaragua, some of their institutions by Ortega. The Chinese are at war with all faiths, Christians included, and I don't know why, but it's up to us to stand up for it, and not to be embarrassed about standing up for Christians around the world that are being persecuted. It seems like a lot of times people are kind of, well, I don't want to speak out about it, and we have to. These are key brothers and sisters that have been persecuted, locked up, killed in various places around the world. Ambassador, any other aspects to this issue you want to make sure our audience is aware of, or anything you'd like to plug, that are action items for our audience? Yeah, they can go on a website, 120 ,000reasons .org, 120 ,000, that's the number of Christians that got run out of Nagorakarabagh, 120 ,000reasons .org for more information, and one thing they really can do is push their members of Congress not to sell weaponry to Azerbaijan, push the Biden administration not to sell weaponry to Azerbaijan, that we've been supplying weapons to them, and that's got to cease, and we need to be supplying help to Armenia. So I'm just logistically curious, it just came to me, so how and what period of time did they move these Christians out of this region, and how far did they travel? They went down this place called the Lachin Corridor, and it's about 22 miles, and this happened in a period of about 10 days. So I'm just really curious, so in 10 days 120 ,000 people moved. Why is it that people can't leave northern Gaza for an Israeli invasion, and the UN calls that a humanitarian crisis? Egypt won't let them move.

A couple months ago, a very good pastor friend of mine, Pastor David Engelhardt, who comes on our program and is also a board member at Turning Point USA, he came up to me and he handed me a book very forcefully. He looked at me in the eyes and he said, Charlie, you must read this. And when he does that, I take it very seriously. He's a very learned man. David Engelhardt really understands the scriptures. He said, Charlie, this book is one of the most powerful books I've ever read when it comes to describing the permanent poor. And he says it debunks all of the Marxist materialist nonsense that has infected our universities. I said, OK, David, I trust you. And it was, of course, the book was endorsed by Thomas Sowell. So I started reading the book and I was blown away. Within a couple chapters, I texted our team. I said, we have to have this author on the program. And the book is Life at the Bottom, and it is by Dr. Theodore Dalrymple. It's one of many books that he has published. This one in particular I found to be very moving and powerful. And we'll talk about why. Dr. Dalrymple, thank you for taking the time. Well, thank you for asking me. So, Dr. Dalrymple, why don't you introduce to our audience your life's work? What I found most powerful about your book is this was decades of work with the poor and just noticing, analyzing and seeing patterns that what was driving people to remain poor was not necessarily a material issue. Please tell us about it and we'll dive, we'll go from there. Well, first of all, I should say that I travel very widely for a number of years and worked in Africa and I traveled across Africa by public transport, seeing it from the bottom up. And I also traveled widely in Latin America and other places. So I began to see my own country in a rather different light from how I'd seen it before. And then I worked for a number of years in what is called an inner city hospital and there was a prison next door and I started working in the prison next door as well.

"I want to thank Charlie. He's an incredible guy. His spirit, his love of this country. He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created. Turning Point USA. We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. That's why we are here. Brought to you by the loan experts I trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandtodd .com. Thank you, everybody. Thank you. Okay, please take a seat. I'm going to close this. Okay, so I want to get to question and answer because I think that's actually the most fun, and I have a feeling there's a lot of questions. There's a lot I could talk about. First, I just want to say there's something really exciting happening in the country where I'm getting invited to speak at schools like this all across the country that didn't exist a decade ago, where parents are starting to rise up and start new communities and start new schools. This is exactly what is necessary in the country right now. Because there if is a woke private school and a failed public school, just start a new school. And we are really good at starting new things. We're really bad at preserving our things from getting captured and infiltrated. That's a separate issue. They're experts at infiltration, experts at destabilization. But I just want to compliment and commend the whole team here. Think really big because the demand is greater than you could ever imagine. I Colorado. love I hate what these people have done to it. And you have to think multigenerationally. You really do. And that's why this effort is so incredibly important. And you have no idea the child that you might be helping educate at Colorado Christian, the impact that they might make. You have no idea if they might be a changemaker, an entrepreneur, a senator, a congressman, something beyond your wildest imagination. Or the most important thing, a loyal husband and wife and someone who loves the Lord, honestly, even beyond a massive changemaker. So I'm going to actually talk about my favorite book of the Bible. I don't think you'll really guess it. It's funny. I love the word and I love what it does to you through different walks of life. And because I'm a glutton for punishment, I've decided to go through the first five books of the Bible in original Hebrew and go verse by verse. If you want a really big challenge, do that. Just finished Leviticus. That's no fun at all. It's unbelievably awesome as a Christian to read Leviticus for many different reasons. And it's amazing. But my favorite book of the Bible is the book of Exodus. And it's not quoted enough or understood enough. And I really think that there's more parallels for what we're living through right now in the book of Exodus than almost any other part of the word. I And so was studying and studying Exodus and so much pops out. So I'm going to go three lessons that I think we as believers, we as patriots, can derive from the book of Exodus. And some you say, OK, I've heard that one before. But I guarantee you I'm going to isolate a verse that you've probably never heard any pastor ever isolate. It's just kind of what I call a flyover verse. You know what I'm talking about? Where you just kind of skim. You're like, OK, let's go. You know, it's like the verse before John 3 16, John 3 15 and John 3 17. Does anyone know those? Probably not. Well, maybe in this room. But very few people do, right? It's a flyover verse. So it's first important to remember Exodus in Greek means the way out. Ex hodos, right? And the actual labeling of the verse is Israelites oppressed or the captivity in Egypt. The whole Old Testament, the first five books of the Bible of the word of God is centered around Egypt. Egypt is actually the villain of the Torah. Egypt is tyranny. Egypt is authoritarianism. Egypt is paganism. Egypt is godlessness. Egypt is one size fits all rule. Said differently, Egypt is the Biden administration. And so now if I offended you, you're in the wrong dinner. I'm sorry. Like so and the whole Bible is written even in Genesis. It's written as a refutation of Egypt. And if you know anything, devout Jews will tell you that the Exodus is the most important thing. Creation and Exodus are the two most important parts of Jewish life, right? Whether it be the Passover Seder, whether it be the Shema, whatever it is, Egypt is the whole ballgame, right? And like remember how we were delivered from Egypt and I'll dive into that. So there's this amazing thing and you remember the end of Genesis, right? Joseph does this remarkable stuff. He doesn't do it. God doesn't through Joseph and he's just a messenger. And he basically saves Egypt from famine and from starvation and saves the whole civilization, right? And the first chapter of Exodus sets up the whole, it's what I call the turning point chapter and we're living through this right now in America. And this is why Christian education is so important and why supporting this academy is so important. And it's a verse that you would just kind of read over and like, okay, yeah, whatever. Then rose a king over Egypt who did not know Joseph. Okay, Charlie, what's the big deal? That's exactly what's happening on university campuses across the country. Then rose a generation that did not know George Washington. Then rose a generation who did not know Abraham Lincoln. You get tyranny when you forget the sacrifices that were made before you. You get tyranny when you don't know your history. Right there, the entire book of Exodus gets set up. So here's Joseph that through God saves them from famine, saves them from starvation. The Egyptians should have statues made to Joseph. They should have songs made to Joseph. But all it took was one king who didn't have the memory of what Joseph did before. And then what happens? That king rises and everything changes. He says, who are these Israelites? They multiply like insects. Let's get rid of these guys. If you fail to pass down your values from one generation to the other, you can quickly all of a sudden get authoritarianism, tyranny, murder, genocide very, very quickly. It can happen in one generation. And I don't think we as Christians isolate this teaching enough because we act as if it happens automatically sometimes. Like, oh, I can send my kid to government school and they'll still share my values. You know, we go to church once a quarter and, you know, we listen to Christian music, you know, every so often and, you know, like through osmosis. And even in the cocktail reception, people come up to me and they say, Charlie, how am I supposed to deal with kids that don't share my values? How did this happen? And my question is always the same. You know, what college did they go to? Always. And in this case, it was Northwestern in Michigan, right? So nice selections. But again, I'm not picking on you guys. It's a very sweet couple. But it was just stood out, right? And you're here tonight because you want your children to share your values, that you want your children to live in liberty. And so that verse right there should be our mission statement. We never want to have a king or a sovereign, the people, ever not know the sacrifices that were made before. When I visit college campuses, and I visit college campuses so you don't have to, I am told, Charlie, the founders were a bunch of racist old dead white guys. We're a colonistic, colonialistic, misogynistic, homophobic, terrible country. That's a generation that did not know Joseph. So then all of a sudden they have a willingness and openness for tyranny, for totalitarianism, authoritarianism, because that is actually how we are naturally programmed. I actually didn't plan to talk about this, but it's just a little bit of a side note. The human being wants to be taken care of far more than they want to be free. Freedom is a value. You naturally do not want to be free. And if you disagree, you are not paying attention during COVID. People that were otherwise some of the most rational people that I knew lost their bloody mind masks wearing in a car alone because they wanted to be told what to do. Freedom requires risk. You cannot be free without chance. You can't have both. If you want to have everything taken care of, go commit a federal crime, or just become a conservative, because inevitably you'll end up in federal prison, and then you'll go to jail. There's no freedom, but there is assuredness at prison. Three meals a day, bunk you don't have to pay for, you don't have to work for what you get. Prison is the opposite of freedom. And so here's the Israelites that are living in total totalitarianism because a king came who did not know what the previous generation did. The next verse, Exodus 1 17, one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible, and I screamed this at pastors, and I yelled it at pastors, and I was unsuccessful. And I'll tell you why. But the midwives to the Hebrews, as in the original Hebrew it says this, feared God. Now the verse before it, Exodus 1 16, the king who forgot Joseph was like, hey, murder all the firstborn, murder them all, kill the babies. Now we would know nothing about killing babies in our civilization. We're way more advanced than that, obviously. We would never do such a thing ever, obviously. Look how advanced we are. We have Twitter and air conditioning, right? So this is, I always laugh when people say the Bible is such a medieval text, we've advanced so far. Yeah, right. No, we just do the evil things quicker and better and quieter and more secretly. So of course, we're more advanced than that. But the king or the pharaoh says, kill the firstborn. And I love this. The midwives disobeyed Pharaoh because they feared God. And it goes on to say that the Hebrew is not a great translation. God dealt well with them or God found favor in them. God loves when you defy tyranny for liberty. That is the heart of God. God wants you to reject tyranny if it engages in somebody's life or interferes with their liberty. A regular woke skinny jean -wearing pastor will tell you, no, no, no, Romans 13, man, submit to the rulers and authority because God put them there for your good. And then I say, OK, rocket scientist, constitutional scholar, man, your TED Talk rock concert, a thing you call a church with organized parking and a coffee bar. Let ask me you, since you're super smart, who are the leaders in America exactly? In Romans 13, God put the leaders in authority because they're there for your good. Who are the leaders? And they say the mayors, the congressmen, the senators. No, no, the people are the authority. So when the people's rights are infringed, the mayors and the state senators and Governor Polis should be submitting to us. We don't submit to them. So I love this verse. And God dealt well with the midwives. Let me ask you, is the American church, are we as Christians fighting tyranny the way the midwives fought tyranny in Egypt? I don't think we're doing a good job. I don't. I think you guys are. I mean, there's an exception. But the large part of the American church, American Christianity is submit to the government authority, submit to the cultural tyranny, submit to the pressure of the day. Submit to what other people are saying. That is not what God wants. And by the way, it's not just in Exodus. In Daniel, Daniel disobeyed the king and still prayed his prayers, ended up in the lion's den, right? In Acts, it says we obey God, not man, time and time again. Psalm 97 10 is my favorite, one of my favorite verses of the Bible. I have a lot of favorite verses. If you love God, you must hate evil. I don't think that we as Christians are doing a good job fulfilling that verse. I hear all the time, but Charlie, we must be nice. And I say, great. Right by the other point. Where in the 66 books of the Bible does the word nice appear in Aramaic or Greek or Hebrew? Waiting. Ready, set, go. And they say, well, we have to be loving. I said, yeah, but what does loving mean? Tell me in the original Greek. You know, is it agape, storge, phileo? You know, they say, well, oh my goodness. We kind of had this discourse earlier. But we're not called to be nice. We're called to tell the truth. And honestly, we've done a pretty crummy job of telling the truth the last 30 years here in America. We have allowed the worst of all evil, institutionalize itself, go after our children. And I finally am starting to see a response. This school is evidence of a response to all this institutionalized evil. And the midwives feared God and God dealt well with them. If we want God to deal well with us, maybe we should start fighting for liberty against tyranny. So God delivers his chosen people out of Egypt. And every time you hear Egypt, just think tyranny. Every time, right? And so he delivers them out of Egypt, one of my favorite parts. They're in the desert, you know, God, 10 miracles, the sea is parted. And this is why I always laugh when atheists say, all I need to do is see a miracle and I'll believe in God. Like, no, you don't. Like next Tuesday, you'll forget about God, right? Because you have a heart problem. You are your own God, right? That's not true. The Hebrews saw God move in an amazing way. They get into the desert. Within days, they're complaining. That's all the Jews do the entire Old Testament. They complain and they complain and they complain. It's why God had to let them all die off and, you know, have Joshua generation going. He's like, these people are not ready for Israel. They complained way too much. We want melons, we want meat, we want all the cucumbers. Literally, translation. So they get into the desert and they say, we want to go back to Egypt, because at least we had meat. At least we had melons, at least we had leeks, at least we had cucumbers. They wanted slavery over freedom because they ate better. And God's like, what am I going to do with these people? And I honestly think that's, I agree with Dennis Prager on this. It's one of the reasons why God chose the Jews. If you could do it with this group of people, you could do it with any group of people, right? If you could get this group of misfits to be successful in finance and business and education, there's something to this book, right? There's something there that we can all learn from. Anyway, so God then, God is a God of order. We as Christians don't do a good enough job. It drives me nuts when Christians only say God is love. Yeah, but he's also other things, okay? He's like judging God. Oh, you can't say that. Well, it's true. Jesus will judge the sinners at the end of the age. One of the main reasons why the church has gone woke is you'll never hear the three -letter word that every person needs to hear, sin. How do you know what redemption is if you don't know what sin is? Unknown concept. We just tell people, oh, you're perfect the way you are. Actually, you're not. Like you're pretty crummy in Jesus, like really bad, like really bad. All of us do, all the time. And we're going to keep sinning and we keep on eating Jesus. And so God established order for us. Of course, the Decalogue being the Ten Commandments or the Ten Statements. And of course, it begins, I am the Lord your God who delivered you from Egypt. He reminds them before he gives him the Decalogue. Moses, the Decalogue. Just in case you forgot, I delivered you from tyranny. God's heart is not for people to live in tyranny. That's when it drives me nuts when people say, Charlie, you're too political as a Christian. Look, God calls us to fight authoritarianism all the time. So then, my favorite one of the commandments that comes tonight, that pertains to tonight, is the one that every one of you are vigilant and why you're here tonight. Honor your mother and father so that you may live long in the land of which God is giving you. And I'm going to spend the remainder of my remarks on this and then he'll do some questions. Everything that the culture is doing when it comes to anybody under 18 is about trying to is this commandment the most proven commandment to have a free society. If you were to say, Charlie, out of all the Ten Commandments, what is the one that if you stop doing, you get tyranny the fastest? You actually more so than murder, more so than stealing, more so than not even having any gods before God. If you do not honor your mother and father, and I'll tell you exactly what that means, you 100 % will lose a free society. You cannot have a group of young people that dishonor or curse, which is the opposite of honor, their parents, and also live in liberty. It has never happened in the history of the species. Now, I'm a student of history. I love history. If anyone can tell me an example of a superpower that went out of their way to teach their children to hate the country that they're in, I'm all ears. I think it's the first time it's ever happened in the history of the species, and I've asked many different historians. When a wealthy, powerful, benevolent superpower has decided to teach their young, we actually hate the place that is pretty awesome. It is civilizational suicide. There will be historians 50 to 100 years from now writing books and teaching college classes, trying to try to answer the America question. How could a country that did so much good in World War II be so wealthy, be the beacon of light and liberty, have so much opportunity for so many people, go out of its way? And my answer is very simple. When you are secular and you do not believe in God, you must fill it with fake religions. Don't believe me? Go drive in one of these neighborhoods like I just did. BLM, gay pride, those are the pagan religions of the day. You always have to fill it with some source of meaning, whether it be the false god of BLM or the false god of trans surgeries for kids, whatever it is. They have to feel an attachment to something, and it's out of guilt. If you don't know how to deal with your guilt, because everyone feels guilt at some point, you're going to do some pretty wacky stuff. And boy, are we living in a society that is just ridden with pity and guilt. Pity for ourselves and our own state of affairs, it's rather remarkable. But if you have a strong attachment to the generation that came before you, you can inoculate yourself against that virus. So let's go through it. It's the only one of the Ten Commandments that involves a direct promise and also your nation. So we talk about politics, we talk about our country, we should probably isolate the one of the Ten Commandments that deals with the country. So honor, what does that word mean in Hebrew? It means heavily or to treat with seriousness or intentionality. What does curse mean in Hebrew? Lightly, it's the same root. So if you were to treat your parents lightly, you were to curse them. Now what does that mean to honor your mother and father? It means that when you're at college, you enter college believing that your parents are more correct than your professors. That does not happen. Professors at almost every single university across the country go out of their way to invalidate everything a parent has taught them up until age 18. Your parents are outdated, they're probably racist, they're terrible. Oh by the way, thanks for paying to the tuition to bring you here, but we're going to turn you into little revolutionaries basically. Finally, honor your mother and father so that you may live long in the land of which you are in. Marxism depends on three things. The obliteration of religion, property, and family. Private property, they're doing a great job and they're going to continue to do it. Religion, church rates are going down dramatically and they've infiltrated the American church. But the family was always the one that was able to say no. And you are going to have to, someone's going to have to explain this to me, how so many suburban house moms here in Colorado want their kids to suffer. It is unbelievable to me. This is one of the most radical like trans sanctuaries in the entire country. It's not ISIL, I'm sure you all know families or kids where you have parents that are excited to go get their 15 -year -old's breasts removed. It's amazing to me. And so the family's totally getting obliterated and deteriorated. That's why this school matters so much though, and why what you're doing matters so much, is that a strong nuclear family is a bulwark to any form of tyranny or any sort of despotism that we live through. And is Marxism really the kind of diabolical, and I use that word intentionally, enemy to the American republic and the American project. As it aims to do these things, as it continues to try to put these ideas into the zeitgeist, we ask ourselves the question, how does one fight back against it? And that's why the rise of homeschool and this alternative schooling is so exciting. They want you to just release your kid to the public government school and never ask a question after that. If you actually read their literature, they don't believe that it's your child. It's the state's child. That's not an exaggeration. You might say, Charlie, how did Colorado get so wacky? You know Colorado is the second most educated state in the country? College -educated state? There is your answer. Is that if you are non -stop producing people with college diplomas that believe men can give birth and have degrees in North African lesbian poetry, don't be surprised when your politics go insane. I trust welders, plumbers and construction workers far more than any given professor at, no offense, CU Boulder. I'm sorry, I just have to say it. I'm sorry. And so we must build new things. And I mentioned this earlier, we do not do a good enough job of defending our institutions from infiltration because we let our guard down and they take advantage of our good intentions. How many times do you feel like, well, what's the big deal? I want to be accepting to all people. So here's the playbook. It's so simple. Get a seat at the table. Complain relentlessly till I'm able to debase the leader on fake accusations and then I control the institution. How many times have you seen that? FBI, military, university campuses, major corporations, and they're relentless. You know what they operate? They operate like a bacterial infection that will not go away, that will just gnaw and gnaw and grow and grow and multiply. And we're like, well, my goodness, the CRT, DEI people, they used to have two seats at the table. Now they have 10 seats at the table and I don't want to be called a racist because that's the worst thing that you could be called. And so let's just let them control everything. So how do you summarize CRT? Call everything racist until you control it. That's it. That's what CRT is. Queer theory, call everything transphobic until you control it. It's a means to power. It's not about liberation. It's not about teaching history. It's a means to institutional takeover. And so the alternative is once they take over everything, build new stuff. And that's what you're doing. And so my one piece of advice to you guys, build, be bold, but please be vigilant about them trying to capture your institution. Because they don't build new stuff. That's what's crazy. They don't ever build anything beautiful or bold. They just take over stuff that we have built with our value system. And then we're like, well, we used to have that great thing. We used to have that church and used to have that school and used to have that place and used to have that company. And so they're experts at takeover. And so building new things is quite honestly the only and the best option. So I'll say this in closing. I get asked all the time, Charlie, this is a Christian audience, Charlie, do you think that we're in the end times? And I'm not a pastor, I'm not a theologian. So I'm not equipped to answer that, but I can say this. I'm very concerned that people are being taken advantage of by some pastors out there where they say, Charlie, Jesus is coming next Thursday. I don't have to do anything. I don't have to fight. Look, people ask, are you pre -trib or are you post -trib? I'm pan -trib. It's all going to pan out in the end. So I'm on the welcoming committee, not the planning committee. Okay. So this whole thing is a bunch of, you know, it's somewhat of a distraction. And, but, you know, people say, Charlie, you know, we must look, yes, we must look at the signs at the time. It's important to know what it means in the days of Noah. All that stuff is great and really important. I understand that. However, here's where it drives me nuts and I see it happen. And I want to make sure this might, if this touches one of you tonight, I will have done my job. Okay. Because you might be listening to some of those overly emphasized end times pastors, and you might feel disempowered and you might feel like you don't have to do anything. If I could just reach one of you, I feel I've done my job, which is the right response is if you feel that the world is ending and Jesus is coming soon, is not run to the Hill with the kids, is to occupy till Jesus comes. Is to hold as much turf and must terrain for his imminent return. And that must be our attitude because I'm afraid it has become an excuse. And I mean that very carefully. I've seen it where people say, Charlie, I don't need to donate. I don't need to start schools. I got asked by a Christian the other day, why even have kids? Because Jesus is coming again so quickly. I was like, wow. Jesus said the time or the day and the hour is unknown. It could be five minutes. It could be 50 years or 500 years. I get in trouble for even saying that because people say, Charlie, it's no more than five years. I said, listen, we don't know. It's what you do that matters. The enemy would love nothing more than to have us remain complacent, remain neutral if we are off by 200 years. God wants us to fight for what is good and what is righteous, regardless of what the signs of the times are telling us around us. And the most important thing that we as Christians have done a bad job and we as Protestants have done a bad job of is this. And I have to brag on the Catholics for a second. They have done a much better job than we as Protestants have done, a much better job at building colleges. And they're all woke now, but at building. But that's what happens. We don't defend anything. We build these beautiful things and the bacteria takes over. And so then at K through 12 schools, and I'll prove it to you, how many Bible believing spirit -filled Christians are on the US Supreme Court? There are far more Catholics. It's because they are experts at multi -generational type building and passing down values. I think we can learn something from that. And I think that one of the reasons we haven't done that is that since 1950 there's been a strain of Christianity that has told us we're getting zapped up in the next five minutes. And that might be true, but you have to act like it's not. And you have to act like you could have a lot more time left on the clock. And so if we change that attitude, by the way, the whole ball game changes. I hope you understand. You will ignite one of the most powerful silent majorities if you get Christians that have been waiting for the imminent return the last 60 years and done very little, and you get them into an action phase and realize that they have to try to act, watch out. All of a sudden the enemy is going to be on the run in a very, very big way. Okay, let's do some questions and I'll stay as long as you'll have me. So, okay. Okay, so I have one question and I'm going to turn it out to all you guys. So get your questions ready. The college thing is a big deal. I feel like we've been even asked, do you send your kids to college? My husband's out of the room so I can say this. They're not going to Boulder. For those of you who don't know where my husband went and where he's very involved with right now, but it's a tough call. What do you think the chances are if let's say our kids go through a school like this, make it, get into a college percentage wise, where are we at with dropping off the bandwagon? You'll lose one out of four. Across where that's what you see in universities. Even the strongest K through 12 that I've seen, homeschool, one out of four will be lost. If they have a public school, you'll lose closer to 50, 60 percent. Wow. Okay guys, we've got a lot of work to do. We're going to try to break that statistic. Or just not send them to college. Yeah. Okay. Well, yes. Well, right. Well, that'll be an open thing. Unless they go to Hillsdale or CCU, but yes. But those are the exceptions. Let me be very clear. Yes. That is not how most schools are. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Good. Very good. That was very enthusiastic.

We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. That's why we are here. Brought to you by the loan experts I trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandtodd .com. Joining us now is Matt Boyle from Breitbart .com. Matt, thank you for taking time here. Matt, you covered this congressional stuff very closely and you've been tracking it. Walk us through the last couple of weeks from Motion to Vacate to where we are now, Matt Boyle. Yeah look, we just had the third ballot earlier this morning and earlier today and Jordan fell short again. 25 intransigent republicans refused to vote for him. We have a list of those up on Breitbart .com so people can go see if their member of Congress is one of the intransigent republicans who are doing this. This was the third speaker vote for Jordan. Where this all started was now almost three weeks ago. Eight republicans led by Matt Gaetz of Florida did what's called a motion to vacate the chair. They voted with all of the democrats in Congress to remove McCarthy from the speaker's chair. After that happened, then the house republicans had first rallied around Steve Scalise, the house majority leader, but Steve Scalise only got 110 voting members of the house of representatives to back him in conference, which is less than a majority. You'll see the votes that he got in conference were from members from the delegates from the territories, so they don't get to vote on the floor. Scalise's path was pretty much over the second he won the conference nomination. Once Scalise withdrew from the race, the race shifted back to Jim Jordan. Jim Jordan is now and has been for a week now the speaker designate of the republican conference. He's the official nominee of the republican conference for speaker, and he's gotten close. His first vote on the floor earlier this week, he got 200 votes. After that, one member flipped back his way, and another member who was absent is back in voting for him again. But he hasn't been able to break these remaining holdouts. The thing that is abundantly clear about these people that are holding out against Jim Jordan is many of them are on the appropriations committee. So many of them, seven of them actually, including the chairwoman of the appropriations committee, Kay Granger from Texas. Now, Kay Granger from Texas, I'm told by House Republican aides, is like the republican Joe Biden. She's so far gone mentally. She's not with it. And so she's the one leading the charge here. You also have John Rutherford on the appropriations committee. He represents the district here in Northeast Florida. You have Tony Gonzalez from Texas on the appropriations committee, Jake Elsie from Texas on the appropriations committee, Steve Womack from Arkansas on the appropriations committee. So one thing that's clear is that it's the big government, big spending republicans who are doing this because there's a government funding deadline coming up on November 17th. The deal that led the original eight to go after McCarthy and remove him from the speaker's chair funded the government for 45 days. And they motioned to vacate the chair just a couple of days after that. That funded the government until November 17th. And now with the government funding deadline looming, these appropriator, big government, big spending republicans, establishment rhinos are in the way of Jordan on continuing their intransigence. Yeah. So what is the path forward then, Matt? Let's just talk strategically, right? We want Jim Jordan to become speaker. What, if anything, can make these 24, as you call them, and that's not a word I use every day, intransigence, right? That's which means unwilling to move for all of you vocab majors out there. What, if anything, can be done? It does not look like the pressure campaign is working. Matt Boyle. Well, look, I think that they're very willing to wheel and deal. I know they say they aren't. But the fact of the matter is, is that there's there's two ways out of this. I don't think there's any other member of the Republican conference at this point who could be able to get 217 votes and they'll go over in Utah next month, right? So there's a special election coming up there. The fact is, is that I don't think that anyone else could get there. So there's two ways out. Either they figure out a way to get there and vote for Jordan, or, or we're going to end up with a deal with the Democrats and the big government republicans are going to finally go be the swamp monsters that they always say they are. And I think that it's a great clarifying moment. I think either outcome is great for Americans. Americans are learning. We're, we're seeing the hood lifted here. We're seeing how these awful people actually work. Look, Charlie, you know this because you have the good ones come to the turning point conferences, right? Like the fact is, is that there's, you know, people out there generally know maybe 15, 20 members of Congress, the ones who are on TV all the time, the ones who go to your conferences, the right, the ones who come on Breitbart all the time, right? Like, but there's a lot of these really, really bad establishment politicians in the Republican conference in both the house and the Senate. The house is a little better than the Senate because the elections are every two years. So we've been getting rid of the bad ones and bring in the good ones. But the fact is, is that I think this is exposing them all, right? Like, so I think the this is a great moment for the country in that we're getting to see a look underneath the hood and into the, uh, you know, what their guts are showing, right? The intestine, the gastrointestinal tract of the awful place that Congress, but, but do you think the moderates are feeling the heat? I'm not seeing evidence of that yet that they're starting to, okay, so walk us through that because maybe they're just playing a game. They're complaining about, you see this constantly happening now, like where they're all complaining about, they're getting quote unquote, death threats. Look, they're, they're not getting that. I haven't seen actual evidence of an actual death threat. And obviously that would be bad if they are. I think what's happening is people are calling their members of Congress and they're freaking out, right? Like, so like, look, here's the deal. If this was conservatives voting against an establishment person that was the conference nominee, you would see people calling for their committee chairs, right? Like in calling for their committee assignments and calling to strip them off of committees. They did this. John Boehner did it to conservatives. He did it to Mark Meadows, et cetera. I I'm seeing calls Congressman Jim banks, for instance, from Indiana, who's fantastic and is the likely Senate can Senator next Senator from Indiana is calling for Kate Granger, the leader of this. She's the chair of the appropriations committee to lose her gavel as the appropriations committee chair. And people are beginning to pressure whoever the next speaker will be. And I think that it will be Jim Jordan. I think he's going to figure out a way through this and power through it. Look, here's the deal. Kevin McCarthy went through 15 ballots, we've only been through three right now. We got plenty of time here. In the fact is, is that I think the pressure is on those other people because their predictions of a mass exodus against Jordan haven't come to fruition. And the fact is, is that the vast majority of members have been sticking with Jordan since his original first speakership vote ballot, where he got 99 votes, he's moved more than double his way, right? Like, so I, on the first speakership ballot, he had 200 votes, and he had 202 on the second one. The fact is, is that we're in the end game here, right? Like, so that, you know, I think these people can be dealt with. And I think that they can be willed and deal with and if they don't, then I think there needs to be serious consequences. That includes primary challenges. And I'm hearing that there are people announcing and running against many of these intransigents already. And then also, I cut off of the NRCC funding to these people, the party should not be funding people who vote against the party. And then also, and then in addition to that, I'm also hearing, again, the losing of committee assignments, including chairmanships. Let's play cut 143. Matt Gaetz is offering himself up on a platter. Play cut 143. Have no goals, have no asks, have no objectives other than to see the eight of us suffer some consequence for having removed McCarthy. So we've made them an offer. The eight of us have said that we are willing to accept censure, sanction, suspension, removal from the Republican conference. We, of course, will remain Republicans. We will continue to vote with Republicans on Republican principles. But if what these holdouts need is a pound of our flesh, we're willing to give it to them in order to see them elect Jim Jordan for speaker. I want you guys to pause right there. This is Strategically Smart by Matt Gaetz. He's basically saying, what else do you guys want? We're willing to have censure and removal from the conference. Here you go, guys. You want revenge? I'm giving it to you. They have no asks. This is sophomore and we're going to keep on naming the names.

The House of Representatives does not have a speaker and says very clearly in the United States Constitution, the House of Representatives shall choose their speaker and other officers and shall have the sole power of impeachment. But right now there is no speaker of the House. Jim Jordan has effectively withdrawn from the speaker's race. We warned you on this program, the moderates were going to dig in. The moderates were going to try to hold the line and they have. The moderates want nothing to do with a conservative speaker. This is them executing their revenge from what happened with Motion to Vacate. It is a tit for tat back and forth. And I could tell you talking to the grassroots, talking to donors. I've had a lot of donor meetings this last week. Really amazing grassroots donors, really amazing people. There's some great donors out there that really love the country. They are so upset with the Republican Party. They are so over this clown show, this circus. The fact that you vacate the chair and then you have no plan to replace it. You can't have Jim. You cannot even get Jim Jordan to become speaker. It is widespread dysfunction. And the grassroots agrees. Talking everyday grassroots warriors. Let me read this one email and I understand. I understand that these emails can be more passion than actual reality. But I mean, I'll just read this one. Frank says, Charlie, the Republican Party is dead to me. We'll never vote for any of them again. OK, I hope you're wrong, but I understand the passion, the sentiment. I hope you change your mind. But what am I supposed to say? Yeah. Vote for Republicans, because if you give them power, what are they going to do? It's not exactly making the best sales pitch. So now there's new headlines that Jim Jordan has basically backed out. Jim Jordan will not pursue a third vote for speaker. That's too bad. And I'd like to see him continue to push this fight forward, but you can't blame him. I mean, only he knows the intensity and the things being thrown at him. So Jim Jordan is a great American. Jim Jordan is a true conservative. We've been pushing him this entire time. But 20 moderates want to try to get in the way to prevent Jim Jordan from becoming speaker. Now, there's bipartisan support, NBC News says. For McHenry Patrick to become temporary House speaker. Hold on a second, bipartisan support. That's a bad, bad headline, everybody. Wait, did we win the House or did we not win the House? We are effectively destroying our House majority because we cannot select a speaker. We warned about this back in January. We've warned about this last week. And I'm sad to say that if Patrick McHenry becomes temporary House speaker, it empowers the Democrats. This is worse than business as usual. The Democrats did not have any power this this last summer. You could say what you want about how you didn't like Kevin McCarthy and you didn't like the C .R. and the debt ceiling. I can resonate with that. But we had real committees on weaponization of government. We had real stuff going on Biden. So we asked, what was the plan? What was the plan? What was the plan? What was the plan? What was the plan? People said, well, just trust the process. Here we are trusting the process. And if Patrick McHenry is getting bipartisan support, that makes me not want to support him. We want a Republican speaker of the House, not a bipartisan speaker of the House. Big difference. We voted for a Republican majority. Notice that impeachment of Biden is gone. By the way, Biden's numbers are going to probably go up five to 10 points in the next week or two, not because he deserves it, but because you do a foreign visit and there's war and all that. It's it's one of the iron laws of politics is when a foreign leader goes abroad in a time of crisis, numbers go up. So we rolled the dice. We did motion to vacate. And some of you are going to say, you know, McKevin McCarthy totally deserved it. Hard to disagree on the C .R. and the debt ceiling stuff. When you spend two trillion dollars that you do not have in the border remains wide open. Jack Smith is unchecked. We're spending money Ukraine. I'm not going to defend that. Bipartisan means concessions. Because we cannot get our act together, because the Republican Party cannot get behind a single speaker, Jim Jordan or otherwise, if it ends up happening that Patrick McHenry becomes speaker of the House and bipartisan support unites behind it, you will have effectively neutered the Republican Congress. Pramila Jalapal, Jayapal, who is left of Joseph Stalin, has come out and said, quote, I'm waiting to see what the assurances are about power sharing. The chairman of the Progressive Caucus, your Republican Congress is going to have to now do power sharing with progressive Democrats. If this ends up happening and if I'm not going to say it is a guarantee, it is as if another election happened, breaking news, CNN Republicans lose House majority. Quote, what do we have to ensure? What happens here reflects the fact that the Democrats are essentially governing this body. You might have won the House of Representatives at the ballot box. But then you lose it because you can't select the speaker. So this is happening in real time. And Jim Jordan has backed out and some of you are very angry that, you know, Jim Jordan is, you know, this one here. Why is Jim Jordan turning into a fluff? Thought he was a fighter. What is going on? Look, you can't blame him. I understand you're angry and all this, but the 20 moderates are not moving. They're not budging, guys. This is the same problem that we illustrated when we said maybe Kevin McCarthy is not as bad as you think he is. And I will say this. The complaints against Kevin McCarthy, totally legit. Fine. C .R. debt ceiling. I don't like that stuff. But Kevin McCarthy would be and still to this day would be a better speaker. Then a bipartisan coalition government, that is a fact, that's a fact, power sharing coalition government, which is now not something that is being remotely entertained. By the way, we've been attacked on this program by people. Charlie, you're fear mongering. Not going to happen. I'm not going to say it's a guarantee, but it's about a 50 50 shot that there's a power sharing agreement at this point to share power with Pramila Jayapal. By the way, the Democrats, they're so smart. Nancy Pelosi told Kevin McCarthy, I'll always have your back. She's a liar, obviously. Kevin McCarthy gets the motion to vacate all the Democrats. The order came down from the Democrats. Do not bail out Kevin McCarthy. And Democrats said, huh? The Republicans don't have a plan. We might be able to take over the House. The Democrats said, hey, what do we have to lose? We just we just have to sit in our chair through another round of voting and yell. Jeffries, Jeffries for another hour. OK, so the Democrats, like good Stalinists, listen to the Politburo, got the order from on high and they said, OK, let's get rid McCarthy. Let's roll the dice. And now they might actually have won. The Democrats might have taken over the House majority without an election. The American people gave the Republicans a majority and the Democrats very well might take it over because of our dysfunction. Now, it's important to note, if something happened to Biden and Kamala, presidency could only be a person with the true title of speaker, not speaker pro tem or acting speaker. So if McEnany or anyone else is sitting in the speaker's chair as anything other than the true speaker elected by a roll call vote of the House, then after Biden, Harris, the president pro tem of the Senate, and then it would go to Anthony Blinken. Anthony Blinken, Lord help us all. And there's a lot of frustration coming in here. Freedom at Charlie Kirk dot com. And people say, well, Charlie, what is the plan? Honestly, that's not for me to answer. I'm not the one that has been calling for this stuff. I'm in the one that's actually been and I've received a fair amount of hostility from people, a fair amount of hostility to people. And that's fine. I appreciate it. I appreciate it. You guys were blooding me up and send tell me to go to bad places, Gehenna, which is Hebrew for help, because I was a little bit cautious, which is against some of my wiring, which is like, guys, hold on. Let's be careful. Some of you are saying, Charlie, give the Democrats the majority. We never had a majority. Pull the mask off and let's move on. Yeah, I think that's very irresponsible. That's not a good idea. A source familiar told The Daily Caller that, quote, Jordan will continue to run and try to shore up votes until then remain speaker designee, not dropping out McHenry temporary till January. Republicans are not exactly making the best case to give us more political power. What do you think about the Jim Jordan, Kevin McCarthy motion to vacate all of this together? Are you pleased with how the last two and a half weeks have gone? Do you think this is the best use of a precious majority? The only thing in government we control. Have you been thrilled post motion to vacate? Email me. Freedom at Charlie Kirk. Dot com. Hey, everybody, Charlie Kirk here every Halloween, you hear about the dangers in the candy your kids will get. But this year, the real tricks are in the meat aisle. Good ranchers wants to take the trick out of your meat, and they're throwing in a treat for my listeners. Lab grown meat is growing more and more popular. Foreign meat dresses up in a product of USA label and M .R .N .A. vaccine development is on the rise for agriculture. What's in your meat and food is more in question than ever before. Admit these haunting truths. The real hero arises. Good ranchers as the number one place to get America's best beef, pork, chicken and seafood delivered. Good ranchers products are transparently sourced, all American delicious. When you shop at good ranchers dot com, you don't have to question what's in your meat or where your meat is coming from. With one hundred percent American guarantee and a transparent vaccination policy, you'll always know where your meat comes from and what's in it. I trust good ranchers and you should to use promo code Kirk to get thirty dollars off free express shipping on your box of America's best meat and seafood today. That's code Kirk for thirty dollars off your box today at good ranchers dot com. That's good ranchers dot com promo code Kirk. American meat delivered. OK, I think I have to do a better job of explaining this because we're receiving a lot of emails of people confused, saying, Charlie, what do you mean? We could lose the majority. OK, so let me do a better job of kind of articulating this. So you have four hundred and thirty five, right, like 435, 435 members of the United States House of Representatives voting members. You have some people from Guam or the Virgin Islands that aren't voting members that can sit on committees. OK, there are four hundred and thirty five people in the United States Congress and they come together and obviously divided by party. And so one party has more members than the other Republicans. I think right now of two twenty one to twenty to twenty one, right, depending on who's sick or who's in the hospital. Not a joke. You know, when you have to twenty one, it's tough to organize right to twenty to twenty one. So your margin gets to twenty one. Thank you. And Democrats have to twelve and then there's two vacant seats. And so it goes up and down and up and down. It's tough. And they don't allow remote voting. Thankfully, they shouldn't for voting for speaker. So you have to be there in person. So when you have a majority to twenty one and the bad guys have a minority, you should be able to say, hey, that the magic number, whoever can get two hundred and seventeen votes, then you become speaker of the House. You have a majority. You control committees, legislative agenda, all that stuff. So but if part of your party, part of the two twenty one decide to go in a line with the two twelve of the Democrats, which only takes five to five, Republicans could hand the majority over to Democrats and they might.

Brought to you by the loan experts I trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandtodd .com. This weekend, there was actually a flip. There's so much negative news out there. Negative, negative, negative, negative, negative, negative, negative, negative, negative. What if I told you that we flipped a governor's seat from Democrat to Republican? That's good news, everybody. It's a good sign ahead of 2024. It's in a state that should be reliably Republican but has a tricky tradition of electing Democrats in statewide offices. And it's a great governor. He's rock solid. He does a lot with Turning Point USA. He's a firm believer, Jeff Landry. And we're talking about Louisiana. Louisiana had a Democrat governor, Bel Edwards, I think was his name. Boom! We flipped that out from Democrat to Republican. And someone who is largely responsible for that is someone that we are partnering on a lot of different stuff is Scott Pressler from Early Vote Action. Scott, congratulations. You were working it very hard. Tell us about the story about what happened in Louisiana over the weekend. People have been understandably focused on Israel and the speaker's race. Yet here's a great canary in the coal mine. We flipped a Democrat mansion to a Republican mansion. Scott, tell us about it. Well, you know, Charlie, this was especially huge because a couple of things were at play. We had 15 different candidates running. This was on a Saturday. This was during football, LSU versus Auburn. This was when we had other Republican candidates that were still running and taking votes. And yet on the day of the primary, Jeff Landry received over 51 percent of the votes. So he was elected outright. There is no runoff. And this was so important because we have elections this November on Tuesday, November 7th. So now we have momentum going into November. People know that we can win. And furthermore, I think one of the coolest takeaways from Louisiana is Caddo Parish Shreveport is majority black. And that parish voted for Jeff Landry for governor. So people are seeing the disastrous Joe Biden Democratic agenda and people are seeing what Republicans are bringing to the table for fighting for working class America. And that was evident in the Saturday, October 14th election. Yeah. So let's talk more about that. Louisiana is a tricky state, right? You would think that it's deep red, but it has a tradition of voting for Democrats in state. What office is Blue Dog? We're moderate Democrats. Tell us about the dynamics of this race. And what can we learn about it specifically? Outreach, organizing, grassroots activity so that we could defeat the communists in November of 2024. So Louisiana, like California, has a jungle primary system. That means that a whole bunch of candidates can run. But at the end of the day, if you don't receive 50 percent plus one of the vote, it goes to a runoff. So the reason why this election was so monumental is, as I stated, 15 candidates were running. Several of those people were elected politicians in the Louisiana government. And despite that, Jeff Landry won outright. That shows you the caliber of the man that we just elected as governor of Louisiana. But in terms of grassroots, I really want to give a shout out to the hundreds of volunteers that through early vote action, we wrote thousands of letters to new movers in Louisiana. A new mover is somebody that has moved to the states, probably fleeing, you know, New York or California or one of the failed Democratic states. And so our volunteers wrote a letter welcoming them to Louisiana, explaining that we have a closed presidential primary, encouraging them to register as Republican and furthermore, asking for their vote on Saturday, October 14th. And in part, this letter writing campaign did help to not only register new voters, but get them out to vote and delivered a victory for Jeff Landry on October 14th. So let's let's keep the momentum going. Right. So let's let's get this into Arizona and Georgia and Wisconsin. Talk about where you're going to be dedicating resources in your time. Louisiana was a sleeper, right? I mean, we didn't even cover it in the lead up. It's a comfortably red state. Jeff Landry is great, but I hope everybody understands for Jeff Landry to avoid a runoff. That's a great structural sign. And also, if you look at things regionally, you're talking about the black community there. Scott, if that is any sort of an indicator, even by two percent, even by three percent, Georgia is going to look pretty sweet for us, for Donald J. Trump, if he's the nominee, which it looks like it will. So Louisiana very well could have been almost a little bit of a litmus test, a little bit of a real poll of will blacks in the South be more willing to vote Republican? Tell us more about that, Scott.

"Sierra Pacific Mortgage High everybody. I'm Dennis Prager because I can't speak for Larry Elder. I won't take the cold. But I will just address the subject Willing and Fairfield, California wants to know. Why does Larry think slave owners should get reparations? That is the way in which the media reported it. They didn't report the last part of the sentence. I mean, he said it in the virtually the either the next sentence or the end of the sentence. The bridge did that, And that is the way they avoided a civil war. Sometimes you do things that are are, uh, are wrong on a moral level, but they are right on a larger scale because you have averted more evil. So whether or not it would have averted a civil war in the United States. I am capable of addressing, perhaps literally, only God knows, but that is the reason He's not a fan of slave owners. But the you know what truly, uh, to use The old phrase cracks me up. Is when the left say we Deal in nuances. The right They don't The idea that left the left deals in nuances is just another enormous lie of the left. That's the one thing that they truly don't do. Aside from tell the truth, deal and nuances America is systemically racist is not nuanced, Just to say the least. Anyway, I did want to address that, Uh, I was talking about 9 11 and this generation in light of the fact that Saturday was the anniversary of 9 11 L Segundo, California and Mike. Hello. Hi Dance of two points to make one night 11 1 on something you said about the Korean War 11. I believe I appreciate corrected The last 19 years in media has Oh, show the video clip. Of the jet passenger liner flying into the World Trade Center building, even though the iconic historic which shone materially throughout the day, every anniversary day for the 9 11 Jihad terrorist attack, So that's clearly fake news again. I'm sorry, it's not, there was like a part there was not clear. The media have shown the plane going into the okay. Let me let me just say just Yeah. Just say that specific thing the media has shown luck. Over the last 19 years, the news media has failed to show the video clip of the jetliner flying into crashing. Okay, That's very interesting. Are you aware of that is that it's a very interesting allegation. I don't know it, uh, Uh, I'm sure that for about 15 years they have not said who did it. It's just, you know. It's so interesting. I mean, it's so interesting is such a terrible word. It is. It is truly vile. That's that's the world to be used. That if you say Islamists Conducted that terror operation. You are bordering or have crossed the line into Islamophobia. But you can say anything about Christians, and there's no such thing as Christophe Obeah. Have you ever noticed that? Why is there no word for hatred of Christians? Which is probably by far the greatest religious hatred in the world today. Christians are being slaughtered by Muslims in Africa and the Middle East. Uh, And in the West, you can say anything You want about Christianity anything and they do it is this It is just the source of our rotten Western civilization. But there's no such thing. As as Krista phobia, the word doesn't exist. How could that be? There's a word for the hatred of Jews is a word for the hatred of Muslims. There's no word for the hatred of Christians. There's no word for the hatred of whites is their hatred of whites. There's more hatred of whites permissible in the United States and then hatred of any other group. There is no comparison. No comparison. If you say what I just said on your Twitter account, or your Facebook page. You you went may well be fired. Just ask the questions that you can even ask questions. "We think about the intersection of tech innovation and music, it's not difficult to think about men who fit the bill. But what about all the female digital visionaries in their impact on music? Enter Melissa Arnette Elliott, also known as Missy Elliott. Okay, so some of you might be thinking that maybe this whole episode is just an excuse for me to take a little break from the depressing news cycle and talk about my love of Missy Elliott. And you know what? You're not totally wrong. But girl has not always gotten credit for the visionary that she is her work as a producer changed the landscape of music in ways that we can still here today. And her innovative music videos blend science fiction and afrofuturism to throw off outdated, patriarchal chains of what it means to be a black woman. We talk a lot about girl squads and feminism and music. But for Missy Elliott that looks like working with other women in the music industry, amplifying their voices and acting as a creative collaborator with them. No, Missy is known for her technical production prowess alongside her longtime creative collaborator, Timberland. She's written and produced scores of songs for other artists, many of whom are women whose work she helped find mainstream success. Here's just a little taste of the music she's helped produced Your Olea one in a million. Sierra 12 step. I love 702 where my girls.

"Alliance. And the Colorado chapter of the Sierra Club doesn't like oil and gas, apparently. So they decided that they were going to protest against the Western energy alliance that was having Golf outing earlier this week. And the way they did it. Was to fly an airplane. Over. The Western Energy Alliance is golf outing. And then they sent out a tweet about their protest. But but then, But then they deleted the tweet after a bunch of people pointed out to them. That they were pro testing fossil fuels by using an airplane that requires fossil fuels to fly around and so Oh, my gosh. And so, uh, now, actually when, when you go to the Sierra Club, Colorado Sierra Club's Twitter feed where they used to have that tweet of their their protests over the oil and gas groups event that tweet has been deleted. You know, this is the thing. When you're just so mindless and moronic that your goal in life is to end the production of the substances that made modern, convenient, comfortable life possible. Well, your brain dead enough that you won't realize your own hypocrisy. Right? You're you're Fighting against The things that let people drive to work and cook their food and heat their homes or cool their homes. Do this this time of year. And you know all these things, get on an airplane and take a vacation. You hate all of those things. And so when you're When your cult is as disconnected from reality as you must be to be part of a group like, you know, Sierra Club or or their worst groups in Sierra Club. There are parts of Sierra Club that, you know, care about the environment and, you know, making sure that the mountains are lakes and rivers are clean and stuff like that, but the real cultish part of these groups where there's against fossil fuels. There. There's so moron IQ and anybody anybody who is part of a group whose goal is to eliminate the use of fossil fuels. They should really They should really be ashamed of themselves right and they should be ridiculed at every turn, and I'm saying Even if it's your aunt, you know you should ridicule her about this until they stop and don't back down. And don't let them say Oh, you don't care about the planet like the bottom line. Is this these environmentalists? They don't really care about the planet. They just hate people. Pretty much. That's what it's about. They hate people because otherwise they wouldn't want to make it impossibly expensive for you to have a job or cook your food or heat your home. Um, but, uh, those people those lunatics are are in charge. Right now. In Washington, D C. You will recall that one of the first things That Grandpa Joe did was to cancel the federal permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. Now the Keystone XL pipeline would take oil from the Alberta oil sands. And route it via this pipeline to places mostly in the southern US where it would be refined into products that we would use gasoline for our cars in oil for other things in yada, yada yada now it's not like Without this pipeline. They're not going to produce the oil instead of what will happen is they will produce the oil and it will just be transported in ways that are more dangerous and also create more pollution. Through the forms of transportation. And then it will, uh, to some degree, especially to the degree that they end up sending in any of it overseas. It will be refined. In ways that also use more energy for the refining and create more pollution in the process of refining because America has very efficient Refiners. If they end up sending a bunch of this to China, China is going to refine. In a way it's going to put a lot more pollution into the air. By the way, I'm not talking about carbon as pollution. Carbon is not pollution. It's plant food. I'm talking about real pollution particulate matters and sulfates and all that stuff. And, of course, the transportation. When you kill the pipeline, you're going to have to transport that the oil by trucking by train. And those have quite high risks of accidents and big spills. And all that, anyway, the reason I mentioned all this after, uh Grandpa Joe, who does Seem like, you know, he might be a candidate for the new Alzheimer's drug. Not that the new Alzheimer's drug, not that we know that it works. But you know, he and his wife made like 16, or $17 million after leaving the White House from speaking fees, and I think she wrote a book and that sort of thing so You know they could They could try the new drug. See? See if it would help him anyway. The company That Is behind. Keystone Exhale used to be called Trans Canada and now they're called TC energy. They announced yesterday that they are giving up. On the Keystone XL pipeline. They've decided to terminate the project, according to CNN business terminate after a comprehensive review of its options and consulting with the government of Alberta, Canada. The company said it would coordinate with regulators, stakeholders and indigenous groups to ensure a safe exit from the project. The cancellation ends more than a decade of controversy over the pipeline and marks a big win for environmentalists who argued the project threaten the environment and would only worsen the climate crisis. God these people are dumb. Just I know. Listen in My dad may be listening right now. And, Dad, If you're listening, you can text me and tell me my, uh My dad doesn't like it when I call people, dumb or stupid or something on the air. And yet I'm just These days. I'm just so Loss to come up with other words, you just stupid is such a understandable direct word. Everybody knows what it means. Yet we can come up with all kinds of other euphemisms for it. And people know that dumb is pretty good, synonym for stupid most of the time, and I just I feel bad when I use that word sometimes because I know my my dad has cautioned me against using the word stupid too much on the air, but we're surrounded by so much stupidity. I just Don't know what else to do. Oh, my gosh. I mean, listen to these people. God, They just are here for a good time, and they can never really commit or even want to come in. Well, give me some examples were first of all where you're meeting these guys and secondly, what it was what's happening to you? Um, right. I guess mutual friends and dating up a little bit of everything, but I gave someone six months of my time, and I'm successful woman and I got two kids. I got everything that a man could want. I don't understand why up in six months you can't commit or you've been off the loyalty right? And I think sometimes we act like we're in relations. It's and give guys those relationship benefits and parks without actually being in one very true and so sometimes guys don't feel like they need to commit cause They're getting everything that they want need from you without that, And so, yes, there is a period of time that you're dating and you're China. See if this is gonna work out, But then, after a certain amount of time, if you feel like he wants to go this way, and I want to go that way You know it is what it is. But that's why I do believe that you can't give a guy everything that you would give him if you were in a relationship if you're not committed, which means that you can't focus on just one person for six months and act like that Shit, man. If he's not your man, Sometimes we put these man and we choose them over our friends and our family. We go all out. And he's not going all out. Yeah, understood. So I need to change my my vibe a little bit right? And I think it is important. Sometimes we don't want to say that.
