"George Thomas Seaver was the New York mets. He made excellence a standard in our clubhouse on our team. Tommy had a look ahead, focus and an ability. Fans fell in love with Tom. seaver personified the mets in ascendancy in Triumph Enfranchise Kiosk in rebirth in ceremony and in the hall of fame. Before him, they had been lovable losers franchise of Casey Stengel and marvelous marv thrown berry, but sieber. So Brash. So sarcastic. "Thirty two year on WGN radio in advance is here along with sergeant Peca conus good to see a surgeon Pete good afternoon well very formal I like that I like a very formal today we you we we heard a headline there and I wanted to let people know what you said about that crime because there's been a rise in some CTA you're in transportation related crimes Sieber Tran just said Hey there was a man an incident involving a man near you I see and you said what well the guy was trying to exit the train the guy grabbed him from behind tried to take his backpack and when the man resisted this guy shot him in the back and then fled so was he was resisting as the guy was trying to grab his backpack right deland pulled back to to get away and the offender shot him in the back that is so sad very sad but it's it's just that one detail you think about cash it's like you guys that you always say is cops just don't struggle somebody once your stuff get it to give it to a you know it's it's there are so many there is with the things I want to get to hear the crimes involving people in their cars there's a number of had the ride Cher crimes we have had some carjackings we've had some car thefts and then the CTA related crimes and I know you looked at a lot of these you took a look at the data and you took a look at the incidents that happened the last couple months to kind of see if there's some common themes some common threads and what you might be able to glean from that that potentially could help us you never know what happens when in a criminal's mind and why they're doing what they do it is beyond me beyond any of us to understand why that ever seems like the right answer but how we respond to it can be king there are some certain guidelines and there are some certain things you can tell us about let's talk about the carjackings in particular because eve said you take a look at the data and some people are doing several of the people who've been victims of this have done the exact same thing right making them a target right forty percent of the of the cars fast nowadays wrote recently have been people running in the stores leaving their cars running to get it you know coffee or pick up a salmon your pick up an order and they leave their cars running boom the car's gone leaving the car running seems like a bad idea you don't leave the keys in the car libra even seem like no one's around or everything's fine and you want to keep it warm because it's cold outside not a good idea other people and my wife is one of these they leave all their is it on this one yeah I have an hour a Utah but the stuff in the car yeah and as they walk by the sea this you don't they don't know all fits in gym bag or that it's got your smelly stuff in there whatever they're going to break the window and and and take it and the other thing that is there it's amazing what we just said a community meeting the other night people leave the second key to their car the fob in the glove box so when a guy breaks in the car he stepped center break it's the start button he's gone because you left your cut your key fob in the car so you've seen that they do try that the node try that yeah the thing in chaos and and you you just have to you know they'll do that little bump where they'll bump your car and you'll get out no jump in so that's it risks described described that because that is something we're in in some certain carjackings we seen in the C. recently that was what they chose to do right they they drive up behind should they bump your car and it's not a serious bomb but it's a bump and so you get out to see what the damages the somebody gets out of that car runs around jumps in your car and the two cars drive away so if you're a woman and you're alone and especially if it's night time and the end you get bumped you get the license to drive away go to a gas station Goettel police Asian gold anywhere works well let and report what happened we see it with men as well it is because they knew her share men and women get all that some some people even resort to they'll flatten your tech they'll watch you go in and out of the store and then they'll see that you're you know you're coming out with a lot of packages somebody'll come up and stand your tire so now you have a flat tire they most new you got a flat tire you walk around don't **** everything you have you know there there was a the reason is a series of incidents here to where people were carjacked while sitting in their cars while it was running as well at a light or something when if it's especially down here these kids they when they steal a car most of them that they're going to use it in another crime and they're going to use it in the series of crimes what they do is they pass the car from one member of a gang to another to another to another and their cars used for five times now if the police department as lucky as they were up up north recently they get a license plate number and they plug it in to the iPod's and I cameras that they use that around the the street polls and in real time it will identify this plate and say where this plate is so then the police can stop this car and take the people in but a lot of times it's the different people that used it for a different robbery two or three days ago I see yeah you know it's it's it's fascinating to see the threads involved because I think we can all learn from when you see kind of how the MO it when it's repeated over and over again it's it's good to know that stuff and that's the kind of stuff you look at your you're looking at if you're walking down the street new that you're right pattern or you're looking at your iPhone you don't notice that kind of goes around pass you up one or two times and then all of a sudden they'll pull a half a block ahead of you two guys will get out no walk towards you and eight you're like a sheep surrounded by walls they're gonna take whatever they want yeah it's some it's good stuff to know we had that situation too I want to if there's charges now today for a man he's heading off to court today he was robbing people he met through a dating app so we basically arrange a grinder yeah and he would arrange a date with them and met most of the men and they were all downtown here and sort of Streeterville river north area in it seemed like fairly public places places where you might feel safe to meet somebody you didn't seem to me any of these places were places where you might expect to be very private or kind of secluded or scary that kind of thing I guess he pays them when was in hotel relaxing but once you're in that hotel room and the and the the door shut there's no cameras that's right your and his mercy guns knives whatever he has ties you up takes what every once and leaves and regarding the CTA stuff the one thing that that has become prevalent now with the with these the bad guys and girls is if you're sitting in the L. N. as the train approaches the stop these people done all the walk up and they'll see your phone in your hand let's see your purse and as the doors open they **** their purser they snatched their phone and they're gone and it's before you can react so when you feel the train is starting to come to a to a to a halt or slow down that's when you should be the most vigilant because that's when they're going to try to to to take whatever they're going to take yeah and I mean besides this guy getting shot you had a get out of a guy playing the guitar he got stabbed in the case that I I'd like to bring up is that there was a man yeah yesterday he he went to jail for a a strong arm robbery beat a guy viciously and left them under the bell my nail station he gets he gets a five year sentence gets out to he then turns around gets paid for with selling cocaine he gets out and band he does another robbery in front of me and said there's a bell Matt beats this guy and they they gave him in a tight bind again and now he just got charged with stealin and beaten up a fifty one year old women woman any goes in front of a judge Arthur I'll tell you his first name and the judge releases a man is all reconnaissance this guy had fifteen years worth the sentences didn't do three and what this new system a a band system he's out of jail to do it again it's a common complaint we're hearing it more and more even with weapons people caught with illegal weapons firing them into crowds going to court coming back doing the same thing caught again and again it feels as if there is something wrong with that system that does not allow those people to face more serious consequence jails aren't that crowded no I get it again I understand the the issues of trying to allow people chances to improve their lives and then decide to turn things around but at some point there should be consequences for repeat offenders that's what we're looking at and it's a big as its front and center in the cook county state's attorney's race I know it's a central issue in that we don't have time to get to that next politics let's stick to crime we want to report that for a couple of months there we were seeing several straight months of consecutive good news in terms of our numbers in violent crime and great stuff to report in terms of improvements we weren't you know you're never happy until it gets down to nothing but we were getting it to a point where we really seeing several months of gains really strong gains and then January was not so good it really wasn't we saw the homicide rate jump by fifty percent from last year seventy percent I'm sorry it was even more than they already four to twenty seven Fleer was twenty unless you're with the polar vortex of any any people murdered this year to start for people homicide victims in January you got it police department that's in flux you have an interim chief at new chiefs going to be chosen at some point and then you know near distant near near future right we've got some that process is rolling we're moving in that direction that's something they're going to be looking at is this a trend is this a month it doesn't feel like it fits in well it what's happening there if you look with the reorganization that they've done is is is what they've done is they've opened up to areas that they never should have closed you know wonder McCarthy so they opened up to their staffing on and now the district commanders are now going to be assigned detectors to their districts that are going to be under their supervision the only detectives are gonna stay really unsupervised by the district commanders are homicide detectives they'll be dealt with by Denihan the new chief of decks or whatever the dentist and they'll they'll cook could help control him visual control them but the other decks will be assigned to the different districts so you're gonna have an inflow influx of game policemen narcotics policemen all assigned to these districts so you're going to be taken what used to be everybody at home in square and putting them out to the districts to put an influx of bodies in squad cars so it make it easier for the community to get involved.

People referred him that when they talk about him on other shows, the share the share going out there, trying to patent it. Okay. But we copy right? It does that mean he hated it because I believe Tom Brady hated it so much. Better wants to put it on the trading colony. Well, he wasn't put it in the most. When you file for the copyright, you have to give a reason. And the reason was somebody else wanted to put it on trading cards company wanted to call it Tom terrific. And he had to stop that company from doing it because he does. Not like it and he talked and other quotes that we didn't show. "A wholesale CDC could be used to improve payments in security settlement efficiency, as well as reduce counterparty credit and liquidity risk biz loose Cus said, adding a value wholesale CBD, C would replace compliments or is this guy trying to get a promotion because you just made. Shit up. Basal also see many would replace a problem reserves at the central Bank with a restricted as digital Togan a token will be a bearer asset, meaning that during the transaction, the sender would transfer value to the Sieber without packaging everything in crypto. In saying that we're gonna do digital bonds of central banks in crypto. Is saying that exact same thing. Yeah. Same shit different wrapping, this is the thing that I don't get about how no I get it. It's called greed and greed is powerful these almost anyone anyone who has -lica- since that have introduced crypto to one of the very first things they say after like you could see them digesting it like they run through the scenarios in their head like they just got plugged into the matrix, in there is twitching underneath the eyelids, and they immediately say. Why don't I just make my own bitcoin? In trip people on the using it. And I'm like. I mean nobody stopping you. Go right ahead. The bad thing is that greed is rewarded and is going to be continuously rewarded until either bitcoin know, until either bitcoin, or some token, just takes over so dominantly that notion is limited from people's brains. Because I know what we have is this. Repackaged in like reiterated cycles of people thinking to themselves. Why just make my own bitcoin? In the more, we do this the less. The more this happened, these cycles, keep happening, the more difficult. It is going to be for that notion to survive for long time. Right. Started with bitcoin in Charlie was like I'm just gonna make mile. I'm just gonna make it four times faster and I'm gonna call light coin because I'm a genius. And that worked in like six other things did it name coin. One coin. I believe would dash dashes now a fork of bitcoin. But then that didn't work in what it was, like you know what I need to make my own bitcoin, but it needs to be way different in these two have smart contracts. Right. Then that's ankle. I just feel like people are just trying to re are trying to copy bitcoin in change. Little secrecy is about the, you know, code. In trying to absorb value into their blockchain into their network. And longer ago in time the less. Effective that's going to be. I think as went on a rant I could put my soapbox down. I'm sorry. Because we didn't have a little thing over the lives. The light bulb in the in the bathroom of the college. And I held it up really close. And that was my when my vision was really good. And this. That and it looked like a clap. Yeah. Got baby minute. Just this infinitesimal crab. And I I said what do I do I've crabs and I went to the grocery store, and here's how bad it was. I'm so embarrassed I want to go to the doctor. So I I tried to St. I stole like crab medication lice medication from the grocery store. Yeah. It's just it's not like it goes inside your I will say venereal diseases, regardless. Our so embarrassing all you had more than one. No, no, just that one. But but that tweaked my brain and anytime I had like a one standard skinned it. I've only had probably two one night stands in my life. I've only had sex with six six six women. Yeah. How how far did you get where you like? Oh. Year. The Wade Boggs stories right guy would drink like a four hundred beers and a day. Would you would you say you can easily drink a case of beer? "Highest and most creative moments, you're really channeling this energy picture yourself as being a combination of mouse in video camera for something that runs your dreams, and you you sort of project out into this world, it it's like the allegory of the cave in Plato weird. There's a fire burning behind you. And you cast your your archetypes cash shadows on the surface of the cave that because you can't turn back and what directly at the light. All you get to see the shadows. And that's that's sort of how what psychology looks at. It George always known you to be an economic forecaster and things like that. How did you get interested in this started? I am a number of dreams that had had real almost frighteningly accurate. Predictions contained within the it. It started off. Gosh, I think I was well, however, long ago the Deepwater Horizon oil spill happened, right? I wrote that up and posted it on the urban survival website about eighteen hours before the event started happening at ten o'clock that night it was in April some years back, and I describe an event which was fire oil platform in. And there were a lot of details about that turned out to be accurate. And then some years later, my wife, and I were were visiting one of her sons lives up in pace in Arizona. And we were staying at the casino up there Matata. And so we were no relaxing. I got up in the. Morning published my column which deals with the economy, usually and I finished writing the column went to the casino had ham and eggs for breakfast and came back to the room. It was too early to take off and drive off for Texas again. So I took a nap. And in the nap I had this pressure dream I dreamed that when we got up to Sieber Arizona highway sixty coming out of Payson, but the road from Hebrew over to Holbrooke would be closed, and we'd have to take a detour. And on the detour we would see orange cones and roadwork and we'd be driving on a shoulder. Well, I didn't think much about it. And when we left the casino and headed for Albuquerque, guess what got to Hebrew the road was closed due to a fatal accident. We ended up having to drive all the way to shallow and then back through snowflake, which is where my wife's from. And and finally made it over to Holbrook. But you know, you you you start having those kinds of experiences, and it gets to be a what the hell is going on moment. You have hinted that this entire mapping to the human mind might give us insight into what happens when we die. Yeah, I'm not. So sure this gets kind of deep I'm not so sure that Shakespeare was an onto a lot more. Because in my my whole family on my dad's side and Scottish descent and so forth. The tradition in our family is that death can be well thought of as the big sleep. And it the it's the big sleep that goes on till a judgment day, or we wake up in another mouse with the video Cam reincarnation into another life that maybe that's not holding. So when you develop a comfort with living in a different environment and start mapping out. What that environment is all about, and you can return there on a recurring basis. It really it really shakes your life. You become I won't say immune to fear of gas. Nobody looks forward to that. All the accounts are that that's like jumping into a big swimming pool. But on the other hand if you have been actively working on cleaning up your dreams and your dream world. So that you actually have personal dreamworld that he returned to end where everything is. It's almost like Sesame Street. Cool right here. There's there's no really frightening stuff going on because you work through that. And she began writing down your dreams it gives you a great amount of comfort knowing that. When you go to sleep. You're not just clicking out. You're actually going somewhere. What is? What is the dream state and consciousness mean to you? Well, I used in the in the book, I I tried to explain it like a piece of. For radio. I think if I handed you a piece of cat five computer capable right? Okay. I wouldn't know what to do with it. Well, what we talk about it. I mean, you know, at at first, it's just pizza cable. We don't know what to do with it. And then over time we figure out that we can put DC voltages throat, we can measure those voltages, but we're not sure about anything else. Well, if you have the right instrumentation, you find out that the entire either debt could be available on that piece of cable and dreams are like, it's it's like waking up in deciding that you can access this huge mass consciousness that previously was hidden from you. Well, when you say hidden from you, how hidden a lot of people can't drink it. It's not a personal shortcoming. It's just they haven't made it a priority to be able to recall what they were grieving about and bring it back to the waking state and think about it. For example, if you drink a lot of alcohol, you don't dream as much or as well dreaming takes this kind of dreaming lucid dreaming generally takes place in the last two hours of a regular sleep cycle. So if you don't have regular sleep cycles, you're.

No score scarlet knights on the second series of the day hand off for black sheer up the middle to yards to the thirty four yard line at the thirty four. He is taken down by Davis the middle linebacker. There's definitely one thing about art. He is Tom. You know what I mean? And it's very difficult as a true freshman. I mean, I was a richer freshman and had a very difficult time, you know, grasping the speed of the game and all that stuff. But but again, a tough this is not his problem. Taking care of the football is in a shotgun. Said Caskey drops to throw on second and eight gonna air it out deep downfield for. Complete. He was double covered downfield at the twenty. But they took the shot Melton went up. And it was just over thrown a bit. You know, this team Jon McNulty, you know, like we talked about Kris. We were getting ready to do this broadcast in this offense has not taken a lot of shots down the field. But again for me, I like to see early in the first quarter because one reason and one reason only you're telling the is that you're not afraid to throw a deep. So when you look at this defense they have nine guys in a seven yard radius because they want to stop the run. They're going to eventually have to start bringing guys out to cover the pats. Eddie Lewis Everett warmly, ended receiver out of the shotgun on third and eight hundred to left hits to Sieber out at the forty short of the first down. Good open-field tackle Eddie Lewis made the catch. Mcelhinney by Jesse and a Bono was the best part about. I'm sorry. Chris. What's the best part about this? Rockers has changed field necessary. Over end kick Jacobs Field it Craig tackle Rutgers coverage unit getting it done Zahir Lacewell, the freshman from Totten Ville, high and skeleton island with a great open fields tackle with three forty remaining here in the opening quarter. So when the receiver takes a drop step and gives away that he's going to be the recipient of a screen pass Mattel instantly closes and has a great burst in play never had a chance. Three receivers split, right. They feel screen pass. It's caught what a quarterback after it was bad in the air. And he batted it down. That's an eight year old kid. You're right. That's an outstanding flood the key is we didn't catch it. He batted it away. Got a flag in the end zone. Aiden hutchinson. Was the man who got his hand on the football for the wolverines? Now, they can't call this grounding because he batted the ball on the already through a forward. He'd already thrown the pass it was bad. But they threw a flag in the end zone. They're discussing it. Now. I don't see how they can call this. Grounding. That was just a heads. I play by a quarterback all very smart way. Ball bat it up in the air. Right back to them. Here's the call. Rounding on the play quarterback with threw the ball was still in the air forward to legal play. Well, no kidding. You already through a forward path.
