4 Questions To Ask Before Starting Any Goal
"What do you say just jump right in? Have you done your homework? Here's what works to piece of paper. And look around you at every single thing in your life the good. The bad. The ugly everything if you like something in your life figure out a way to keep more of it. Or get more of it. If you don't like something your life. It's time to say, how do I get rid of that? How do I do that? If you need some help, get my perfect planner at motivation move dot com it's free it help you manage your time and get yourself sorted out. Good stuff. So four questions. That you should ask before we start anything. So let me ask you a question of which means it's five questions. Well, why am I giving you one then we'll ask him on this. Okay. Do you have dreams. Something you want to do in your future everybody has dreams. Some people have nightmares I've had those. Dreams for the future. Now Dreams are what? Well I think the prelude to a goal right? Something POPs into your head maybe dreamed about night maybe just daydream about maybe watching movies say that someday. I don't know. I'm sure you have things you wanna do but then life gets in the way. Then you start living life, you get caught up essay the current of life and it's hard to think about doing anything different it. You really gotTa make an effort to do that. Have you ever wondered if that inner voice inside your head though which Kinda heading today? Is. That little voice inside your head have you ever wondered? Is it right? I. Mean, it is your inner voice right I. Mean you're the boss of you so you don't have to listen to yourself if you don't want to so. What if your mind keeps popping into something if you if you keep having this idea, this feeling that you just got to. Take, advantage of and go do something about I think you have to honor it right? It's popping up. My rules is if things pop into my head at least three times, I'm like, Okay Scott you better pay attention to it. But sometimes when that happens to you wonder if in the right spot, wait a second I don't really know if I'm ready to go and right now because of the current economy and the current pandemic and everything. But who knows where we are right now who knows we're faced three, hundred Florida so it's a little bit different these days kind of weird. The restaurants are all busy today. But but things are are awfully confusing a given things being confusing. Sometimes you don't know if you can trust yourself to you. So that's why have these questions for you and these questions are things that people use them presentations and other other things but I use them for this kind of work because I just noticed they work fairly well. So here they are the four questions will help you sort out just about anything and this came from the three minute rule book by the way Brad Pinnock. Is that the same I I read his book about a year ago and I said, man, I could use for goal setting and everything else and it really truly works me. So credit roll credit is due Brad, use it for presentations as all kinds of cool stuff but I think you can use it for well for even more cool stuff. So the first question is What is it? Civil question isn't it? You'd be surprised how many people can't answer that question. So if you have dream if you have a projects that you're gonna be doing some direction, you're heading it needed to find it very clearly. This number one we have to do just about anything. What is it? Do you understand exactly what you want. As my dental work kicking, do you understand exactly what you want? I think it might be surprised maybe not what you might be surprised how often I speak with people during the course of a week and I asked that simple question. So what is it? What do you want? What are you talking about here and they have no idea Can't verbalize it. They can't come up with the words to really explain what it is and usually what was a say well, this episode or can you draw Fisher I mean. But what if you drew a picture what would it be at? oftentimes they'll say, well, it'd be it certainly would have mountains a lake or something like that. Right little east of there right is changing modality a bit communication patterns. What is it? I question if you can't clearly answer exactly. What you want. It's not time to go forward. Number two. How does it work? How you go about reaching your goal. What will what will the likely outcome be when you get there? And again, you would be surprised. How often I asked that question how you GonNa do I mean how's it all going to come together? What's the process? You can quit your job you get the money in the bank what are you GonNa do here I mean what's the outcome? I mean when you get you the other side of this, what's IT GONNA BE? So the first question is, what is it? The second question is, how does it work? How are you GonNa, go about doing this stuff if you can't tell me what it is, and if you certainly don't even know where to begin. Well, we might have a little work to do, but if you can clearly say what it is and clearly understand what your process is going to be, and you clearly know what the outcome is. Once you get there a high time to go to step number three isn't it? Can you do it? Scott I told you how he's going to do it I know. I, just told you what the outcome is going to be on. Oh Can you do it? May. Really if you did it is your plan. reasonable. Do you have the time. Do you have the skill to have the money? Do you have to take some of the words? Can you resource it? So you can actually accomplish your goal. Folks can't do that and they're not realistic about it. So it's very rare good question. So what is it? How does it work in? Can you do it? A lot of folks leap before they're ready and I don't want you to do that. But if you are ready if you were to say to me happens a lot by the way if I get to the third question if he actually progress there because you saw stopped before I, get there. If you say no to one or two, there's something going on right. But if you know what it is and you know how it's GonNa work comes going to be then I'm GonNa say well, can you do it? That's a validation question for me. It gives me the chance to put it in your face and say all Ye Shur. But I haven't said. Are you sure yet have I? I'm seeing Kanye do it. I'm Scott I'm ready. I'm ready to go. And then that fourth question comes up. Are you sure. Are you sure? Would you be willing to put in the effort? If you, you're confident you can achieve your goal. So you know what it is. You know how it's GonNa work you know you can do it. Are you sure that if you really were to put your mind to it, you can get it to happen. Are you sure if you can answer all of those questions? You're going to get your goal. You'RE GONNA. Make it happen. If you can't answer all this questions. That's okay. It just means you need to just get more clarity on them or maybe a little bit more time to resource. It made me save a little bit more money or switch jobs or whatever you have to do is have to do a few things to to make a couple of changes to it. That's all you have to do.

"And then Murphy kind of in classic. Whodunit style punches the man pieman. As I pull they get Sarah from John Ostrander cost her from John Campos Tucanos. Sorry messing up. This guy's last name powers, like says who says the fax off the first repi person spider you Boomerang a nemesis punch wasn't in Dover the time and as as as Murphy is talking to Waller off or still has her big meaty hands around punches throat. He's just a great thinking it's abused. It's it's violence. May I guess it's not necessarily funny, but the way they're doing it here. I find it hilarious. I just love the way that wall or just choking and then he's actually just listen to Murph explain why punch can't be the man cave. And as well like would you care to Enlighten us then as to the pad pipe? I mean really is Simple Simon shur item one given the personal changes damn few people have been around Bell Rock by throwing began item two pies. Never got thrown when the missions team or a way that suggested the pieman was a member of missions. From there was a simple process of elimination. Some people weren't by rev Gary pie throws. I found the mail then also limited everyone got hit by a pie which left. Nobody was like may I use all upset? Like I read halo around her head showing the hell angry. She is she's like are you saying I got splattered by figments of my imagination murders like nope. I'm saying I had to rethink the only possible is that one of the victims pilot himself in order to throw off suspicion once I do that out as a matter of opportunity ability of motive, which gave me my Prime Suspect I use other smoking a cigarette as he stood telling all this song. I Can't maintain constant surveillance on my target. We watch the sunset at the pies and punches Locker setting up the frame and I got it all on video tape, it goes up to boomerangs taggie touches with the chest like tag, Boomer but your rent And boomerangs like Maggie mate. I get hit by that probably just heard the missions room the water. So solid all happening. And again continues to explain you make a boomerang pie flipped it down the quarter as you started it in. Then you pretend to hear someone call your name step Trek out into the pipes path right where you would go off. Let's hurt you a vote. Everyone will remember about through the pies raise your fists and we see think for fist raising the inheritance Boomerang this pay page bottom page twelve money. He's just wild looking this. I it's okay I did so what you going to do, but talk to me off the squad big harry deal. I quit switching I do now, huh baby girl. I just love the look on boomerangs phases. Just his eyes are wide. It just got nykole look on his face and and wohlers cuz he's getting a walrus face is just a great panel. I loved my page twenty and then page 21 we get a helicopter. And then should have been a wall or stolen Boomerang off. Apparently, he's on only about twenty miles from Australia We Got Tonight on so about twenty miles as a fish swims off the island got plenty of water and food. She like fruit clothing had got his people he likes hello to your new home slimeball come back and you're bloody count. You can't leave me here. hear me talk come back here. And so as the worrying flies bring helicopter flies away Boomerang stuff laying on the beach is yelling at him and our final page comes up with a bigger field a few changes of planes. Later. And while she's getting off the plane and I could John Economist. It's like you're looking more chipper. Should I call it for calling Petit called a Mean Streak but I do feel better. Somebody came on and the Mad pieman is history and all sudden she gets up with another pie and we see Murph off into the background me. I think there's something holding tradition when you agree with those expired like the camera at us the viewer the reader and ends with a what is a pike. It's it's us in the phase of where it says next the secrets of the Bronze Tiger again another great issue. I just love the suicide squad. That's the main reason. I started this podcast. Also enjoy Checkmate, but Suicide Squad fantastic. And in the letter column someone's asking you a little more about Boomerang maybe it was head and stuff and there's like well digger's it's in a way as of this issue. So it's not like who I have a chance to get in his head over the next several issues. And I guess the only person that was able to guess the eight people wrote in saying who they got the Mad Pythor was and the only person that guesses identity prior to this issue was comic shop owner Jim oil change so e h l looks like on Long Island. Good job Jim. I don't know how you figure it out. Unless you went by. Mercer easing and but great job, but I just looked through the letters page real quick. See there's anything else Dimension? I don't really see anything offhand. So again that's going to handle this episode. And again, so in the Coming Attractions, I will mention that damn the editor has been spending a lot of time talking to Jim in Jim John and Kim Bethel direction of the series. He's also been talking about management about Mark other important matters. So there is definitely a change in the wind. So I guess Bob greenberger writes the next issue 38 from a script to John Jacob cuz I guess Johnny is time to rethink this quadrant what.

"Who doesn't like traveling to a fantastic location for a full week or more of incredible diving? I no I do and I can't wait until my next adventure. We do a lot of research and planning and putting together an exciting travel program and our schedule is normally laid out a year or more in advance. Also we know that a lot of people WANNA plan out their trips scheduling wise with school work in their vacation a lot of times. You may need to make some investment to ensure you have your trip booked for example. I suspect we're like most other dive shops. who require a non refundable both deposit to lock in your trip and as we know things happen and you might not be able to go on that trip? So what do you do well. We highly recommend commended. You consider purchasing trip insurance or travel insurance. I suspect everyone is familiar with insurance. You pay a premium to accompany to protect something like a car. You're home and if something happens you can file a claim but let's dive a little deeper into tr travel insurance specifically for Scuba Industry. Because we're a little bit different now. There are a number of plans out there that you can purchase and you can go out there on the Internet and search for some but I'm going to talk about two of them specifically that are related for scuba diving travel and that's from divers alert network. They offer a product and then there's another company dive assure that also also offers a product very familiar with the divers alert network trip insurance. Because I've had it for a number of years they have three different. Our Ah for single trip coverage they have a basic a premium in elite in essentially the higher. You go the more coverage you get. They also have something called annual trip. Insurance for two more trips knows also have three plans. There's the traveler the explorer and the voyager. Now they all cover medical expense trip cancellation interruption delays baggage coverage They're all very much the same. Whether it's a single angle trip or multiple. You can go out to their website or search on Google. I personally have the annual trip insurance from Dan. Fortunately I haven't had to use it now. The premiums are all based on where you live so you have to put your stayed in there as well as your age because of the medical coverage in involved now. Dive assure is very similar to Dan. You also become a member of divers Shur and they offer dive accident insurance much like the Dan does and on their Travel Insurance they also have single trip insurance. They can get a standard deluxe or elite where you can and get a single package covers multiple trips so the very similar in in their coverage now to test this out I went in tried to look at Getting a quote for a trip that we have upcoming in October to bon air and put all the parameters in both sites. My where I live in my age and The quotes came back pretty close for example. Dan came back on their basic coverage to to be one hundred seventeen dollars while dive assure came back at one hundred twenty seven dollars. I think there's a little bit difference in in coverage but they're very very close interesting thing about dive. Assure though was I tried to. lookit putting in a trip to key Largo and wouldn't let me do anything I'm for Trips within the United States so that was a little bit different. But again if you're going on that special trip that once in a lifetime on trip or bucket list trip or just any trip that you're scheduling for your scuba diving. We highly recommend that you consider travel insurance because as we know things happen. Do you WANNA protect that. Investment.

"You remember week or so ago when I told you guys about Goofy Goofy who I cannot believe we didn't know about before this fifty goofy was a famous sideshow performer and he started out his career as the wild man of Borneo and then he just which I've heard he did all these wild crazy insane things then he just disappeared from history and no one knows the exact time when he died in southern California might is on the line and he's he's in New Brunswick Canada and he used to work from one of these traveling sideshows. Hey Mike I bike hi how you doing we're doing good. How are you doing hanging in there with all that snow? Thank you very much. God bless afoot today there another for today there that's right. I love that yeah so so <hes> you work for a traveling carnival and they had a Hoochie coochie show the way it happened that traveling show Chou was king read shows and they came all true <hes> the province and they beat in the state in Maine and everywhere and when they came to our town they would hire people from the town. We didn't trial. I didn't travel with them but I did work for them while they were in grand falls area. So what were what were you hired to do. I was hired to watch behind the bench so nobody no other people would go look underneath the and Oh girl show inside the tent. They don't want anybody looking underneath the tent so you were basically like the tent bouncer Scheuer shooed them away. I was fourteen years old also isn't much of a door. They hired a fourteen year old boy to keep people from peeping at the Hoochie coochie girls. I would have been so fired because I'd be peeping at the Hoochie coochie girls myself whole pay but what so let me ask you this one of the things we learned when we were telling goofy. Goofy story is that some of these hoochie girls shows were relatively tame and some of them were full on nudity. which kind were you hired for? They were they were full on nudity. Wow in in New Brunswick New Brunswick so would they hire. Did they have like women who traveled with the show they didn't hire local. Women are anything right travel with the show so it was like I'm GonNa. I'm GonNa Guess that was your first Eiffel wasn't it. You better believe it so so here's a question Mike Mike did that. Watch did that kind of shape your tastes in women for years to come for the rest of your life by <hes>. Could you repeat did that kind of seeing those Hoochie Coochie Gucci girls did that sort of shape your taste in women for the rest of you know. I didn't think so no that's not right so that real quick so so do they have a band playing. They played music on. Wrong with the way they did it. They had a stand in front of the ten that like a big Stan was maybe twenty feet wide ten feet and they would bring the girls <music> out on that stand which was outside. They were all dressed and they had a guy that I was presenting them to get the people to go and pay and go inside and watch them dance the local authorities in Canada the mounties or whoever they just let this go. They never voted with that at all. They didn't care maybe they had I mean everybody knew what it was but if they had the right permits to have the full hey mike. Did you ever see as the Shur. "And Bradley show. Mytalk one zero seven one streaming live at mytalk one zero seven one dot com. Everything entertainment, Colleen, Lindstrom, Bradley trainer and there's a really good and mild defensive reason we're asking depends on where you sit, but a decidedly definitive ranking of the cities in every straight by twenty four seven Wall Street says Saint Paul is the worst city in Minnesota. Saint Paul the capital of Minnesota is also Minnesota's worst city. It's the capital of crap. The credit. Saint Paul slogan, Saint Paul crap. It'll say twenty four seven Wall Street created an index calling I don't know what it's four seven Wall Street is. But they probably go sound official right? They created index of over two dozen things. They looked at two different measures. And look, we could go into this and just have the conversation. What are they saying? I mean go read it. It's kind of silly. If you ask me, because as I was going through this list, they take every state, they run some numbers, and they say, people people, this is the worst state or city in your state, so in Alabama, it's a place called Bessemer. Everybody's heard how terrible Bessemer Alabama is Florida. What did you wanna guess, Florida's worst sitting? No. It's Florida city. You don't say population twelve thousand. Oh, have you been to Maine? No, do you know what the worst city in. Maine is now or no population nine thousand. Okay. And then somehow somehow they come to Minnesota and pick. Three hundred thousand plus Saint Paul Paul and name it as the worst. Now again, I could bore you with the details, essentially boils down to crime things like crime per capita. Medium home values poverty rates at cetera. But to me, I could there are like fifty different reasons. Why don't think this is probably a good list, and anything that people in Saint Paul should waste their time, thinking beyond what they're already concerned about as a city? Right. So I don't know that we can, we really need to pick this particular story that much, but, but they are looking at what makes us city the worst city and I feel like there are things we all hate about cities that make us go out like that place. Right. So, I feel like that to me is the better conversation to have because we all have opinions about what we don't like whether it's saying. Paul, or frankly, for that matter, Minneapolis, six one, six four one one, oh, seven one. What would be the quality that you would assess to determine whether something is the worst city what qualities make up a terrible city, what don't you hate it up in the morning and goes I wanna make a list of the worst places in the whole world also worse to such a subjective thing, because active is first of all best, I would say, I don't think it's fair to compare the crime rate in Saint Paul to the crime rate in Bessemer Arkansas. Right. Like. Such that it would, you know, again, it just doesn't seem like apples to apples. I think you could look at major metropolitan areas and say, you know, here the states were here. The cities within a state over certain size that have some issues to deal with. But nobody likes that everybody wants like this is the worst just yesterday. We had, I think Minneapolis show up on the best list of cities in the country like the third number three. I think it was. And then we were also like the worst the least sexy accent sounding accent. Time. I mean, does do you need to say it? Yeah. Apparently apparently idea, but back to where cities. Yes. So things, I think about, and by the way, six five one six four one one seven one to join the conversation. But one thing to me if I've visiting city and I go out like this place if it's not walkable. Yeah. If everything is too far apart, and there aren't safe places to walk you. That to me would be like, that's the worst city. I don't like that. If I have to drive everywhere in order to like see the city. Yeah. For sure. Yes. I hate having to drive from place to place for everything you want us to get my car. Sometimes you just wanna walk down the street, right? And just see what there is to see. We've got a caller. We've got Kim on the line. Hi, kim. So Cam, what qualities would you say would identify the worst city? Congestion. Out and out. They route and apple you know, they don't prepare their roads really. Well, that makes a relief Fathy experience. Right. Right. Thank you makes him. And I don't know much about Saint Paula than I you know, I lived there for a number of years, a long time ago. So in the nineties. So when I was a college student, so I didn't really pay attention to very much the part that I lived in was very pretty and nice and seems like a fun place. But as an adult living in the city of Minneapolis, I frequently shaking, my fist out the window on our local roadways, because, you know, she mentioned traffic and congestion, but I would say something as simple as potholes like to me. If you can't fill potholes, then like, I don't know why we're doing anything else. Right. Like fo- bad. That just seems like priority. No. But this series in a manner of speaking, because like your job as a city is like, let people move around, and you have a day to day interaction with the car when of age roads, metropolitan area. I should not have to, you know, feel my kidneys. On my way we write that down, that might be my favorite quote of yours ever in a major metropolitan area. I should not have to feel my kidneys on the way to work at it. Thank you. Thank you for that. What Bradley trainer? You know, I think what's most important is for the city of Saint Paul to know. We don't think you're the worst. No. I mean compared to Minneapolis Shur but, but that's because we live, because no well, I think if I lived in Saint Paul, I would say that, but, you know, I think a lot of people in Saint Paul are wanting to be seen right now. I want to see them. See though we Slough drive past you drive away for enjoy. You know, I love the area might you know my favorite now. The Minneapolis one the air. Yeah. Literally, that's the part that butts right up to Minneapolis right along the river, right there that we share right by the that we share their distance from the bridge to Minneapolis. Oh my gosh. All right. We that Saint Paul. They got a good fish to look at it. I, I see you Saint Paul. We love I acknowledge you your man. You don't know how to plow a dam road to save. I keep trying to leave it on a good note. And you keep going. Seriously, though, these roads gear I love you, Saint, Paul stop talking when we come back on the Colleen and Bradley show, we are going to do another Oprah level. So the question here is how far back is it is it fair game to go. When you're wanting to outrage troll, and we're talking about Tucker Carlson, and I want you to know there's a guy who listens to the show named free range alien. He's like pre fact checking us on Tucker Carlson. Yes, he wrote and said, hey, Tucker Carlson was going after Joe Biden pretty hard for comments. He made twenty five years ago. So. So. Maybe twenty five years is the limit our people who Tucker Carlson is. So Tucker Carlson is a dancer with the San Francisco ballet, oh, no sorry. It's a different Tucker Carlson. He's on Fox News. He started the daily caller as the daily caller news foundation. He's a conservative cat. And he said this how many years ago was this that he said these things there may twenty and my main two thousand six in between then in two thousand eleven so there's different times when different quotes happen. Okay. So here he is using word. I'm not bringing to use the initial for us to where we run into her all the time. It seems like a cheesy. Yes. He is very seems extremely that. Word out of step over me. She seems what I'll go ahead. Was she just does seem a little bit. You said it. I'm just agreeing with you. I love for Tucker Carlson tonight on. The cross. It's this word. It's this one letter is an L. No D. No, oh, that's a c. So he said that. And of course, what's the purpose of this attack, by the way? I short. He had a terrible potty mouth Shur and the show that he was on specifically is known for that type of material. So maybe he was trying to fit in with the big boy is. Let me, but it was kinda like let on is like this ha combat. I am look back in the day when I was in radio in Salt Lake City. I said things to get attention because I thought that was how the game was played. And then I went and got into Caesar's. No never use that word on somebody. That is British and uses the seaward totally fine with it. If you're not British and use the word, I don't like it just so everyone is super clear that was candy Harper. Who said that we've all said things, I'm not that. We're not fond of or that. We're not proud of. He said something else. So the comment about women. I love women, but they're extremely primitive their basic. They're not that hard to understand. I feel sorry for unattractive women. I mean. You know, what's better than hockey? We even I mean, first of all there's no is this where I'm supposed to be outraged. Because sounds like he's trying to be funny. He's not funny. The seaward thing. Don't like that's not a word that I like to use this tried to be funny. This is the part where maybe maybe I can join the true outrage that just sounds like a guy trying to be funny and play with the other guy stupid. It's stupid. But I don't know about you. I was stupid. When I was you know, I wasn't. I was era that I was still smart. But I was arrogant I had no wisdom. I didn't understand restraint. I didn't understand the privilege of being on the radio. Now, we're going back for this case in particular for him, like eight years or more, okay? Age in there. "Ladies and gentlemen, in the world of pox masculinity. Dame? We now have a columnist for USA today. Sports Christine Brennan. Yesterday. She complained that young a young several young gentlemen refused. Rasoul girls. This is in high school. Visit a Colorado state high school wrestling tournament. And they need to accept the intrusion of girls into the meal sports and joined the twenty-first century. Now, we were just talking about women's sports just because we had a couple of trans. Well, I would say transvestites. Guys, claiming to be chicks. Who were winning all the races in Connecticut in some places like this and the state track meet, and they're blowing the doors off the girls in some folks complaining, but you can't complain about that because then you'd be a bigot. You see? And so these people are playing right into their hands are going. Yeah. I'll be girl made me a track star Shur. So what are they going to do to be a girl not much because they look like guys they just got longer haired a little bit longer. But I mean, they they don't have breasts. I'm sure they still got Winky's they just identify his girls, and they get to run in the girls track thing and blow everybody away and get the medals. So this woman. That rights for USA today. And this is from newsbusters. Wait, look, we have a link to all of this Phil Valentine dot com on the show prep. Two girls finished in the top five in their weight class. You know, how they did this? Because the boys forfeited they wouldn't wrestle women. And she says this is sexy is so they asked one of them. And this is Brendan Johnson. A senior of the classical academy who forfeited two matches rather than Rascic girls explained to the Denver post. I'm not really comfortable with a couple of things with wrestling a girl the physical contact. There's a lot of it in wrestling. And I guess the physical aggression to I don't want to treat a young lady like that on the mat or off the mat and not to disrespect the heart or the effort that she's put in. That's not what I wanna do either. So is he wrong? Absolutely is absolutely wrong. According to this woman. But the alternative would be that he would get real physical weather, and then he would just beat her. And that seems to be preferable to this columnist from USA today. Now, I'm gonna tell you in about ninety percent of the cases that's going to be the case. Probably it may be one hundred percent. When you've got women. That are wrestling even in the same weight class. It is going to be I I would venture to say it's going to be rainier. If a woman ever wins. But my question about this. Why don't have women's wrestling? I mean anybody ever thought about that? Well, maybe they don't have enough women who wanna wrestle. So yeah, throw him in there with him in again. I will tell you this. I know I may step on some toes you fill two legged minor bruised. We've always talked about women in combat. I have no problem if a woman wants to be in combat and she can do the job. In other words, if she can carry the eighty pound rucksack, if she can do all of the push all of the setups, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah anger from several years ago in Tennessee State guard, and I'd signed up for this. Special ops search and rescue type program they were doing they were looking for folks that they could be trained. When they have to go search and rescue. I'm is basically you're gonna learn how to find somebody in the middle of nowhere administer, you know, basic. Medical care in this kind of stuff, and then get them out of the woods and take them back to somewhere where somebody can take care of them. So I'm in this. They're probably fifty some of us. I guess from around the state they came to this central organic. Remember, it is now I'll tell you this. I did it over five weeks in an almost it almost turned me off to even being outside. It was a miserable. We started with fifty some ended up. I believe with seven or seven of us. I guess I. Yeah. I know I made it through the whole thing. And the last thing was a ten mile hike with a eighty pound rucksack, and then the last mile or to the Sergey game of this had to run the thing. I had blisters on all my gosh. It was it was anyway, long story short is I'll get to that. In a moment. We gotta take news break. I'll tell you about the women involved when we come back after this.

"And holding them to maturity, I'm Kerry. Yeah. It's it's baloney in the case of index funds, which is the only kind of fun we suggest in in an actively managed fund Shur. They're going to be trading in and out and we'd never suggest an actively managed fund in a billion years. Yeah. I mean, here's the other thing to remember about buying individual bonds that you really don't see and the person telling you the bond doesn't point out. And there's there is a cost to that that is far greater than hiring a coupling vanguard that's gonna own thousands of bonds, which reduces risk, right? Because you get different maturity's etcetera etcetera. Professional management, and the fact that if you own individual bonds, they could go default if it goes to fall to the bond portfolio lot of them. It doesn't really matter and the cost the cost. This is the part that it's the spray tell you that. Yes. So you're paying a price for that that you don't see. And I think the last time I read about this Don somebody pointed out to this probably three or four percent. It's like a typical commissions on the kind of bond government bonds have tiny spreads government. That's okay. Corporate bonds can have ridiculous. Breads municipal bonds some have reasonable spreads and summer outrageous spreads depending on the liquidity of the mini bonds. The only case where I think this makes sense is if you're talking about tens of millions of dollars. Yes there then you're gonna own individual bonds. There's a lot of reasons why. But for the rest of us mere mortals myself included because I drove here in my Honda pilot today. It's just going to be upon fund. I'm sorry. It's not much. It's not as much fun either by the white, but it's been better. I'll put it that way. Right. Individual did indicate to me that there would be no cost to me. Yeah. Right. There is no committee because there is no commission. It's the spread what they do is. They buy a bond from someone selling a buy at let's say nine hundred dollars, and then they sell it to you at nine hundred and forty dollars. You don't see that they keep the difference? They keep that forty dollars. But they don't have to report that to you as a cost they're far more.

She's gonna therapy for that. Think. Because you know it. I was like, oh, it feels kind of. No, the second might hose are wet and I'm sleeping. I'm saying. You might not be blamed for being like, oh, that's interesting. Wait a minute. The next day. It gets worse. Mr. parkers, then decided to peep into an apartment through the mail slot. Now, get this you're sitting on a couch with your girlfriend all of a sudden the letter. Slot opens. And you see two little beady eyes. Oh god. I'm a guy says your girlfriend's really hot. Gosh. That's scary. This whole thing is scary. That's nightmare worthy. Gets arrested and while in custody, a female jailguard caught him touching himself while looking at her. I gosh, this guy has too much time on his hands. Now when they tried to ask him why he was doing all of these things again. Remember, he exposed himself to a lady walking the dog suck delays toes. He stuck his beady eyes through a mail slot to tell a guy his girlfriend was attractive, and then he was touching his Schwantz and Gruber while looking at a prison guard there were like, so why are you doing this? According to this attorney, Mr. parkers had developed a delusion that he was as Zeus like God who was sent down from the stars to seduce women. It was quote his destiny to seduce women and willingly have his children, less less. We need to discuss the deuce. He's he's doing. None of that. Sounded like seduction dropping a seduce. Okay. But obviously, I mean, I think that's a general problem that we're having a nationally at this point is that apparently there are a lot of men who do not understand how seduce to do. Right. You know seduce? Well, how to seduce right less is more. Like, I'm thinking about you know, certain stories in the past of guys that have dropped their towel in. A hotel room and tried to get a gal to watch exactly. Not sexy here. What we talk about. Okay. Let's be clear though. This is not man. This is some creepers. Also, most men don't think this is the way to attract a lady, I hope. Well, I mean, what is your experience been well any well, mostly satisfactory? Okay. I would say my husband figured it out. But there were you know, they've always been kind of weird guys that thought certain things were enticing that really aren't. I'm just saying. Going back to the photographs that people sometimes sent. Oh, sure. Yeah. Nobody really wants us know ladies. Ever ever been anyone that wants those? I can say is a man that I don't look for those because I find generally speaking when you send like, for example, I think they're called in the vernacular de picks. Yes. I don't find anything particularly attractive about a part of a human bond disembodied. I agree. Everything goes, it's a puzzle. Yes. It looks nice. Parts like different puzzle pieces that will then fit together in a masterpiece. Shur? Right. I like that. Poetry. Thank you. But just that one part not I don't mind that to be. "Now a former rock, Ed because the New York Yankees have signed him. And that makes us all think, and I'm going to get to the phones in just a moment. So hold on. Let me just get this on the record and four a comment and response because of about to say something that is an ongoing to admit a little bit of a stretch. But as you know, the Yankees have signed a pretty good hitter. DJ LeMay Hugh play just about every position in the infield. A one time or another over his eight seasons with the rock cats his best season about three years ago. He's only thirty and is a contact hitter. Does not strike out a lot can work the count can draw a walk, but he is a header. And when you're not getting a three run home run. You can get a base it that drive in a runner in scoring physician. So he's not a bad ballplayer at most Yankee fans now think well, that's it. No, much auto and no Bryce Harper. But no Machado where would he play now two years twenty four million for DJ LeMay Hueys career to ninety hitter? And yes over eight seasons. He hit better outside, of course field as most do about three thirty bodies. Just about as we say in the trade a career three hundred hitter. And a good baseball player is a won a gold glove. Vecchi's wanna go glove three times in those eight years. So he's solid. He's a pro's pro here is my stretch. Here is my radical thinking until Manny Machado signs on the dotted line anything and everything that chicken thank of including Machado coming to the Yankees might still be in play. And the reason I say that is because most of us all of us me to my first thought, and I'm sure as a Yankee fan, you're thinking, you're I thought maybe your second thought, that's it. No, Manny Machado coming to the New York Yankees. My radical thought is that maybe that's what the Yankees want. Manny Machado to thank. That now that they have DJ LA Mayhew that there is no room at the end for poor Manny. So the bottom line is it could all be gamesmanship Vic and all be part of what negotiation might be the lower the and the money with Manny Machado now again, it may not be. That's why I say it's a pretty radical. We pretty much a stretch, but until Manny Machado signs on the dotted line with the team, whether it's Philadelphia whether it's the White Sox whether it's any other team, you can think of my two cents worth again. I'm saying it's a little bit of a stretch. But it's worth thinking at me too. If you're thinking as a Yankee fan of baseball fan in New York City, if you're thinking, and I'm thinking about the same thing. My first thoughts when you heard about. DJ LeMay Hugh signing with the Yankees. Okay. That's it. No Manny Machado, which is somewhat on Yankee alike to let both two stars off the hook as we say. Whether it's Bryce Harper and Manny Machado who does want to come to the Yankees and been saying now for quite some time bottom line is maybe that's what the Yankees want. Manny to be thinking that there's no room for him. Now. Maybe you know, they come to the Yankees say wait just a second his his people camp Machado. Maybe they go up, Brian Cashman and say, wait a minute. Is it vinyl is it for Shur that you're not look? Well, how about if we lower our years and lower money a little bit and start talking until Manny. I mean, I again, I can't say it enough. It's a stretch of my my thinking. But maybe that's what the eighties want camp. Manny team. Manny to be thinking that there's just no hope that day. The Yankees are going to walk for him any kind of a deal for twenty nineteen and beyond. Maybe that's what the Yankees want. Manny to think that man he comes back to the Yankees and says, wait just a second has it for sure is it certain that you don't want. Manny on the team that here is a player in his prime. Here is a player who's the three hundred hitter. And yes, maybe we can get him to hustle, and maybe he'll play third maybe he'll play a little bit of short. Maybe he'll do what you want and instead of ten years and three hundred million about six or seven for a little bit less money. So I'm just saying it's a thought it's a radical thought. But until Manny signs on the Donald line to me anything and everything especially with the ANC is is in play one eight seven seven three three seven six six six six number to call on the ban, New York City and BRUCE'S calling from New Haven and Bruce here on the fan. What's? Going on evening. How you doing? I'm a big fan. Also. Okay. I'd like to say that I really don't want. Manny machado. Okay. Well, I don't think you need them. But I've been you know, what? Until again, I know this is maybe again a stretch until he signed somewhere. I think everything is implying now. But I just I would like to I'd like to root for the team as as it is. I really enjoyed. We had sure. One thought also with the Manny. And I know you wanna talk about the jets, Bruce but wanted to just follow one of your comments here. It could be that the New York Yankees feel. They don't need Manny or a Bryce Harper because they're not that far away from the Boston Red Sox are the agencies might feel will not repeat what they did last year which was historic because they're not possible historic. Bruce who away have to let you go for two reasons. One the radio in the background. I thought I sounded better than that. If you're going to have the radio on in the background. Can you put on our station? All right. Listen, remember that when you come on the air because there was reverberation. There is coming from your radio it'll come from my headset. So both of his can be.
