"In the consensus calls for a year over year increase of average hourly earnings of about 4.7%. That's down from the 5% we saw last month. Are you surprised that that number never really ticked that much higher than where we've seen in the last 6 months or so? Well, again, the hourly earnings number that we're talking about in here. Is for a very, very small microcosm of people that are employed. What I do worry about in the upcoming payroll employment numbers is to potential impact of E and on the data. It's something that was brought to my attention the other day by a colleague of mine. And it is a significant significant risk. I'm often these kinds of disruptions even though they're localized. Do you have an impact on the macroeconomic data? This time through it could wind up with a spurious increase in the hourly earnings number because hours may have been held back while compensation wasn't. What's your recession call, Steve? I mean, a lot of folks are kind of banding about. Good question. How long will it be? A, well, we have one, B, how long will it be kind of how deep? Well, again, it's not a credit cycle. So it's not going to be the depth of the recessions that we've experienced. Either from COVID or from the financial crisis. It's also not going to have any additional fiscal stimulus coming down the pipeline. So it is going to be a recession of several quarters. And it is going to be deep enough in terms of labor market against the backdrop of a very, very low start to the unemployment rate. So we could get into that 5 and a half 6 category, which is significant move up. You could say it's almost doubling the unemployment rate. Doubling would actually get 7%. But it's a very significant upward movement in the unemployment rate from how low it started. You know, it's great. Steve shut up for Halloween when his neighbor went. The natural. Sure. Yeah, of course. You are a gay reject. He had on the closet for the 70s. It worked out. Saver shudo, thank you so much. Economics jokes on November 1, they really work. "Karen Moscow, along with Tom Keenan Paul Sweeney and the S&P 500 is lower this morning down about two tenths of a percent of the open down 9 points at 42 88. The Dow Jones Industrial Average down a tenth of a percent or 33 points at 33,877, and the NASDAQ down three tenths percent or 40 points at 13,086, ten year treasury down 9 30 seconds yields 2.82%, the yield on the two year 3.21%. Nymex screwed oil is down 6 tenths percent or 56 cents at $88 85 cents a barrel. Comex school done about half a percent or $8 ten cents at 1790 20 announced. The Euro 1.0157 against the dollar, the N one 34.54, and Bitcoin, it's down about half percent at $23,960. Tom and Paul. Thanks so much, Karen. Greatly appreciate it. Steve shoot us a Missouri and he knows that I know that inflation was volatile and came down quickly not once but twice after World War II. We had sky high inflation. Almost up to 20% on a Bloomberg on a monthly basis year over year got up to 19.7% boom. Came down, did it again during Eisenhower boom. It came down. Steve has shudo can inflation, boom, come down again with that rapidity. Well, I mean, it can, and it really is a function of what happens with the global economy. And that, I think, is the key consideration here. We have been looking at a currency that has been appreciating since January and is continues to be a very, very strong currency. And last month was the first month where we began to see import prices reverse. And if import prices begin to go lower on the backdrop of the stronger currency, the competitive pressures that get affected in terms of the retail component of the U.S. economy can be very, very powerful at dampening overall inflation going forward. How do you, in folks, brigida is the most grizzled guy I know at Y equals C plus I plus G plus nx. How do you respond to Steve to Young Turks who say OMG inflation's going to be persistent going to go on forever? How do you respond to that? Well, I mean, there is this perception that it is a price wage spiral. And this comes out of the academic literature that everybody learns in graduate school as an explanation for how you go from an aggregate supply curve, how you go from a labor market curve to an aggregate supply curve. And therefore, there must be some markup above wages that goes into prices. The problem is productivity can come in in the middle of that and really SAP things. Now all these people who are looking at the inflation story are saying, gee, when you look at non farm productivity right now, it's collapsing. Well, that's happened because we have two consecutive quarters of negative GDP. So the output side of the equation has come down. But the reality is there's a component called multifactor productivity. And multi factor productivity sometimes becomes an environment where you add up the input from labor, you add up the input from capital and instead of getting two output, you get three times the output. And that multi factor productivity is really the important consideration here. And I think that's going to surprise people to the upside in the next couple of months. I'm amazed that you bring that up because I was talking multifactor productivity with my youngest in her summer reading list and it didn't go well. It wasn't going well. Steve, if that's the case, if multifactor productivity is that important, how is it this time around given the technology oomph that America has? Well, again, I think that's part of the issue. I mean, we're dealing with people are saying we don't have a new technology, but we actually do the AI revolution could be very, very important in terms of the logistics abilities of the economy of the ability of manufacturing to produce more output given the unit of employment by controlling the flow of product in and out of and distribution chains into the final retail marketplace. You can wind up with more output coming out of a system with reduced numbers of workers and that's really the key factor behind multi factor productivity. Steve Tom and the Bloomberg surveillance team are heading out to Jackson hole Wyoming later this month. What question should he and Lisa and John ask some of these central bankers out there in the cowboy? I'm taking notes. Well, that's a really, really good question. And I think the problem that they themselves face is in terms of interpreting the labor market against the backdrop of what's going on in the rest of the macroeconomic environment. And getting a sense from them, how much of the demographic issues are they paying attention to, what are they looking at in terms of the uniqueness of this particular labor market and where are they going to respond to weakness in the labor market? We've had a labor market given two consecutive quarters of negative GDP that hasn't shown any signs of cracking at the aggregate levels in the monthly numbers or in the weekly numbers on claims and continuing claims in the insured unemployment rate. And therefore, if they are looking at the labor market is really the key driver behind the inflation story, then the real question is going to have to be for them is to what are they going to be looking at for a crack in the labor market. Right now, Waller is getting what he wanted. He's getting job openings coming down. Bullard is getting what he's wanted. He wanted an economy where inflation expectations are coming down. But we see that in the yield curve, but by the same token, the labor market is moving up. So clearly both of these people are heavily focused on the labor market environment and therefore the getting a sense for what's going to cause them to change their view on that because that's going to drive their decisions on short term interest rates will be. Steve, the big take story on Bloomberg news today is penned by Tom orlick and David Wilcox Bloomberg economics. And basically, their thesis is, you know, the fed lost control of inflation. They kind of missed that. And now in order to fight inflation, they're going to really run the risk of pushing us into recession. And suggesting that the fed's credibility is really in question here. Is that something you think is pervasive in the marketplace? Do you share that concern? Is that an issue for market participants? Well, I think there's two pieces of credibility that you have to keep in mind. And we published the piece yesterday about this, which is basically the markets are convinced the fed is going to do what they need to do to bring down inflation. And that's really the fed's primary credibility issue. So I don't think there's credibility in that. People believe that the curve is showing you that we're inverted between twos and tens we're likely to get more inverted between twos and tens as we get through the F one C minus and we realize this fed may not stop at three and a half. They may want to go to 4% by the end of the year pushing a two year note. The key issue then that comes back for them is, well, where is the credibility missing? Well, the credibility that's missing for the fed is not in terms of controlling inflation doing what's necessary to control inflation. The markets are saying the fed doesn't know what's going to happen with rates next year. And the market is making the assumption the fed will have to cut rates, but everything you're hearing from the fed these days is that they're not going to cut rates and maybe they pause, which fits more with my scenario. So that's where there's a credibility issue. People are saying this is a fed that told you in July of 2021 that they were never going to never going to raise rates and never going to cut the balance sheet by March, they were raising rates and talking about cutting the balance sheet. And now they've ratcheted up. So they don't know how to forecast. Right. But they're certainly going to do what's necessary to bring down inflation. It's very quickly here. What is your level of inflation you perceive at the end

"Again by 9 cents of 1% on the S&P on the NASDAQ 100 down by 1.5 yields are lower by 9 basis points to two 83 35 with your economic data is Mike McKee Good morning John Well on the inflation front it looks like we're coming in a little better than anticipated on the course side PPI for final demand on a month over month basis up half a percent that is down from 1.4% in March and it matches the survey The core rate comes in up four tenths during the month down from 1% in March and less than the 7 tenths forecast for the month A year over year basis PPI is at 11% It's down from 11.2% and the core comes in at 8.8% down from 9.2% That's a little less than the 8 9 that was anticipated The rise the increase in the month primarily attributable to a 1.3% advancing prices for final demand goods So services are down it appears a little bit I haven't quite got to that number yet Final demand construction up 4% So maybe a last gasp by builders trying to get things done Initial jobless claims come in stronger than anticipated They are up by 203,000 that's 1000 more than the 202,000 last month but the forecast had been for one 93 Now we're at levels that really none of that matters It's a rounding errors It could be some sort of unique situations in any one particular state It does tell you basically that the overall job market is still very strong Michael just whip through the price action and I'll come back to you in just a moment as you get a few more seconds to go over this We're still down In fact we're lower on the S&P about one 4% call it 9 tenths of 1% and that's that 100 down by 1.6 and a major moves off the back of this in a bond market We were already lower by 8 9 ten basis points about their level now two 82 63 crude lower by 1.4% We've seen commodities get rattled a little bit more recently Earlier on this morning you wrote a dollar with a one O three handle right now one of four 24 negative 8 9 tenths of 1% on that currency pair We're gripped by growth scare off the back of some of these inflation numbers and how the fed set to respond to it and what all this means for growth further down the road Mike can you help us understand the relationship between the PPI numbers the prices that the factory gate that you just went through And the end consumer prices just the relationship for you and what this could mean in the next few months Well there's not a direct relationship because what ends up happening The PPI measures what companies are charging for their goods Their prices and it's divided into those who sell directly to people and those who sell to other businesses And the problem is is that a lot of the price increases can get absorbed by other intermediate users in their margins So it doesn't translate directly into CPI but the fact that we're seeing a bit of a slowdown in the increases is good news It is sort of what we expected to happen on a year over year basis probably has to do with the base effects we've talked about but the fact that the core comes in a little bit lower on a month over month basis is a hopeful side Maybe too much into one month I'm glad that you talked about core does core matter as much with producer price inflation as it does with consumer price inflation considering the fact that energy and materials are a lot of the bases of a lot of the factory products that are made Yeah I mean you put your finger on it there Lisa the fact that companies are charging less for some of the raw materials or raising prices less shall we say not charging less Is going to be take a little pressure off of final demand And final demand goods So in that sense it is a little bit of an improvement And again I want to stress one month does not make a trend but it is what has been expected So that is some good news this morning Thank you buddy Awesome as always joining us now Steve for shudo Chief U.S. economist at mazur America Steve is there light at the end of this dark tunnel Well there is light at the end of the tunnel Unfortunately I think we're in the final stage of what is going to be a significant bear market especially in equities As we've started to disengage stocks and bonds yesterday and it looks like again this morning I think that's recognition of the fact that what's taking place in terms of the equity market now is a wrench on the station or a recognition of the fact that the Federal Reserve is not going to be executing the Greenspan put any time And as a result of not doing that the equity market has to be intaking down earnings expectations So far the decline in equities has been concentrated in the multiple as long-term interest rates go up the multiple comes down stock indices come down Now we're at the phase I believe we're starting to see bonds go down and equity still go down at the same time Bonds go down and yield in equities go down in price I think that's telling us that we're starting to get to the point where people need to start to downgrade their earnings numbers And that's the final shoe that needed to fall on the equity market We still could get down to that 3500 on the S&P 500 and we could still wind up with slightly wider spreads But if this trend continues with the two markets disengaged IE barn yields can go down while equity prices go down We've really reached the top in the yield on the ten year note maybe three 33 24 was would have been the absolute top three O 5 eyes where we had I believe at the top on the last couple of weeks I think we could very well be at the point where we have to top in the interest rate environment Yes Okay so there's a lot to unpack there I want to just start with what you first started on The idea of we're at the final stages of a significant bear market I'm curious what kind of recession you see getting priced into markets and frankly as the most plausible in the next 12 to 24 months Yeah you guys did a great question there I mean I think when you look at what's taking place in the economy I find the hard landing which is growth recession I think the economy is going to be running well below trend that can't discount or ignore the fact that we can have another quarter of negative GDP in here unlikely to be back to back negative quarters of GDP But we're going to have an economy running in that 1% or slightly lower growth environment over the next four quarters The reason why we don't get a classical recession is there's no major inventory overhang There's no overbuilding in any major hard asset category There are no significant financial dislocations that we know about And therefore I think in that environment the hard landing is a more realistic scenario than the outright recession but an economy running at sub 1% means Q four of a Q four growth for this year is about 0.4% in contrast to 5% last year and that takes down should take down operating earnings to about 5% growth as opposed to ten to 11% growth as has been recently discounted by the marketplace Steve we don't get the sense that the Federal Reserve is particularly concerned at this point about growth There are laser focused on inflation Where do you think inflation will be able to get down to by the end of this year and where is that going to leave the fed Well again when you think about what's happening the base rate effects are going to come off So I think we're going to lose about 3% there It's everything else beyond the 3% decline in the year over year numbers from the peak that are going to matter for the fed And I think you know I think in the reality of the situation is we're going to come down more quickly I think we can lose about half of the gains that we've seen in the operating numbers year over year So I believe somewhere between July and let's say September will see sort of a pivot by the Federal Reserve away from aggressively hiking rates to developing a more shallow rate hike scenario that will probably continue over the balance of the expansion When do you expect us to see the actual tightening matter to the economy Start filtering out to whether it's the slowdown in housing the people are expecting or companies borrowing less money Well I think you're already seeing it to be honest with him and you look at the headlines of the conversation by meta you look at what's happened to Uber you look at what's happened to lift you look at the conversation from Amazon that perhaps they may have overbuilt issues You look at the inventory of some of the retailers that we see in inventory as accumulating And then you look.

"The disconnect between what are often overly rosy are optimistic statements from senior pentagon leadership about say the training of afghan security forces. I the reality experienced by people on the ground or the reality in state. Department cables essence. I think there's an interesting discussion. Is the washington post. Did a big series on this. They called the afghanistan papers was clearly an effort to compare it to the pentagon papers. I think mullins point here gets added distinction. That's we're talking about in which there is. There is a difference between the pentagon papers disclosing secret bombing of laos never reported on or or whatever in. Us generals offering overly positive statements. Both are bad. Both are damaging both needed and fix. Yeah but the mullins point like sometimes those overly optimistic statements come from this military culture that views every job is achievable and their job is to salute and say yes and get it done and and be optimistic. But that can mean. I guess refusing to acknowledge the reality that there are limits to what they can achieve or the us military can achieve. I just thought it was an interesting I think it was the first of all like that's an astonishingly. Welcome statement by mike mullen. I mean i. It's so rare that you have a former four-star. Go out and say you know what that was wrong like that. Compare that the yeah. That's hugely to his credit And he always was an honorable guy but he was dead set backing up the surge. Forty thousand troops guy but even at that time he was backing up the trace and mcchrystal were originally mall and he saw his job as chairman. Backing them up so this leads to the second part where he said because i here's what i think i think he meant and i think he's exactly right. It's not that they're 'cause this is the problem outside with like jim. Shudo tweeted something though. Cnn there was like you know. I've seen the us military begin. New forced to do far too many missions that you know civilians inflicted on them and again the the awkward reality of the obama years on the afghanistan policies. We didn't you know the military came to obama into nine. Was like you have to give us. Forty thousand troops That was an obama Seeking an escalation in that way. But i understand the mindset and this leads me to like i think what mom was getting at first thing is if the military has any responsibility. They've responsibility if you're stan mcchrystal and your sent afganistan is the new commanding general to his nine. And you're like i've been given this mission to stabilize afghanistan and and defeat kaieda. Well shit. I want more resources. And who wouldn't like what what military i was on mehdi hassan's show recently. He kinda tossed me softball. Like isn't the military to blame for some this as well of course they want more resources yet. So it's hard to hold that against them. Because if i'm a general and i have an enemy i'm gonna say send more troops so i can do more to defeat that enemy and so i think that the mindset of the military is just like they they they want to believe they can achieve the mission in front of them and part of what. Mom's getting his mcchrystal. Could've come back and said you know. What actually i don't think we can defeat this enemy with a reasonable amount of resources Instead of the mindset kicking and of no i can get this done. Just give me enough to try to get it done right then. I think the second thing that happened in afghanistan ula to is that 'cause i've read afghan papers and and i i said this to you and i've gone back and forth on this i we we did relay rosy assessments of the afghan national security forces. I had no reason to not believe that those were true. You know that when when you get the dod you know guidance it suggests that there's three hundred thousand eight hundred thousand troops now. Why does the military of the they want to. They're deeply invested in in in what they're doing and i so i do remember the only way in which we might have known that wasn't true. Read deserves usually descent and often. The descent was by the way from the intelligence community right without getting into it. But like this is why. I don't think the intelligence failure arguments are true. Because the biggest skeptic of the war in afghanistan least. When i was there was always the intelligence community. Saying it's not as good as the military says it is and they have these kind of fights about how well things were going or how badly things were going. And i think that you know some of this is just human nature if you are if you're fighting and your friends are dying and and you're doing tour after tour of duty and places like afghanstan you want it to be succeeding you know and and and you want to believe the best version of what you're working on right that's of human nature right and and to me that suggests it. I don't think the problem here is with us. Military it's with tremors of giving our military or any military regime change nation building efforts right. What does that ever work. The military you ask them to go boost up you ask them to go into pakistan kill osama bin laden. They can do that because that's what military does but like you ask them to build a government in afghanistan. Why would they be able to. Great stan mcchrystal Admiral mollen brock. Obama could not solve the problem of the corruption that has created when the united states spends eighty billion dollars in a country or the problem of these safe haven in pakistan or release. The military could not be asked to solve the problem of a afghan government that was perceived as corrupt and the entire government was never able to solve the problem that everyone identified but could address of the taliban having a safe haven in pakistan. Yeah and and you know there was an interesting moment between portrays an obama on this where it was a height of the surge and portrays his explaining hide brought in these kind of anthropologists to think about canada har- and power dynamics there and tribal relations and is about as smart as a person could try to be in the challenge of governance kantar. But and i think portrays thought that obama would kind of connect with that cower them yet but obama kind of had the opposite reaction of like. Why what are we doing. You know like we can't sit in washington and diagnose the block by block politics of can hardly know like it's this is not what we're supposed to be doing this is not you know you could have the smartest generals in the world and in the idea of the united states being able to design a local government and cantu har- it would make any. We can't figure a block by block politics in miami. We can't we've got we've got. How can a country that has january six run afghanistan like we just we not like so so to me like that's where we have to get back to. This debate always has to return all the way back to like. Should we be engage in these kinds of military efforts in the first place or not pasi. The world's brought you by the new york times. The new york times is committed to seeking the truth.

But it's sounds like you have a history Missing birds perfect. Play over your young little dog. yes i heard. Yeah yeah i did that. I did that on a sharp tail in kota. And i did this and this is what i'm hearing. I'm not gonna lie to you. This this i like awesome point by juniper and i'm gonna miss that birth the biggest well juniper's rose she will She won't get too worked up about it and showed us keep on keeping on point the next one a nice segue we definitely i definitely want to talk about juniper and you've got a little bit of a transition here with dogs kind of adding to the mix and different styles and flavors wanna talk. Yeah all that stuff we think we should. I think we should talk about shooter a little bit. Cause a lot of people know what what's going on shoot all the time so shudo's my first dog. Yep am she was five years old. When i got her about two and a half years ago and she came from a breeder she is. She's a golden retriever and very real brett. good good pedigree. great dog and She's a hot hunter. Just perfect made for me the point in time that i was at. She's very easy doc. She's a very beginner. Friendly dog i would say right. So i can take her out and throw into a field and we walk and she finds birds like not all not a lot of other. Docs met so far but again. She's a flashing dog and she's a hell of a retriever and that's kind of what i handed over the last two years and one hundred. We're quite spread of upland. Birds was her doing seasons. People told me. I shouldn't even go out hunting. For example brad chickens december over flushing dog and things like that but she does a great job. She's wonderful she's seven years old now and so. I made the decision cautiously. I listened to a lot of podcasts and talk a lot of people that need a second dog but mainly do what. I just mentioned earlier to seeing her kind of being really tired at the end of a season and that took a lot oliver for that one hundred much and walked her that much. We walked a lot of miles. So i know i needed some power and just just live minnesota but also we have a cabin up another misconduct as you know. I do a lot of cross. And i really enjoyed hunting over point dogs the last so i decided get appointing and we got on the list waiting lists and eventually we gotta gotta young ponding dog out of painter of lavelle cow warn and really so far just blown away. She was born on january sixteenth. We picked up was nine weeks old and since then it's been a rollercoaster the beginning of walls. I'm still worrying too much. If you spare liam always to worry but but do you know she really does well and this. This idea of ninety percent of the successes. Genetics is really plays a big role in that dog. It's and it shows me because we have a rescue dog offer. Stock stock haggard. And he's just so hot to train and he's so hard to keep under control tuna kind of herself. You do you kind of describe what you wanna do doesn't matter which village strategy gopher which is a toll total another can of worms. You can open rang. How you want to train your bird talk once you decided what you to do and you go that way. It kind of seems to really wear a garden is all repetitiveness and eventually you can see delight. Just turn on whatever you want to figure it out and then to just keep doing it. And and i was focusing a lot on obedience because you know. Shoot up being sold obedient. I really enjoy that. I like a doctor listens to me. I don't like to yell too much. Even though yeah i did at the beginning quite a bit but yeah so so she's she's coming along nearly seven months old now and she's seen a lot of birds well over one hundred pigeons thanks jerry. And she's pointing. She's obviously had some big news. Here's shooting the first birds over her. There was quite exciting and and does was quite the event. I was too nervous to do it myself. But maybe you wanna talk about that. Yeah now we. We will definitely get that but i don't wanna i don't wanna leave that we're gonna leave shooter behind but i wanna i wanna talk a little bit more about that and again. I know you've been on travis you've been on travis. Franks podcast right. Yeah travis nice flush until like some of your stories has been told was shooter and south. But i'm i'm curious as far as like you know you are really a new hunter. You what you were looking at that connection to food and your you had the passion for cooking and stuff but when it came to getting on the ground and hunting was shooter you got the dog what how prepared or because i know you research but like how were you feeling about just taking your dog out into the uplands and just going for you know like those first couple hunts. Did you go with somebody. The first time did you go off completely. Went by myself horrible. By the way described feeling because i was so unexperienced and seoul scared at the beginning that i thought to myself and this might sound funny to you or anybody that listened to that thought is going to be so hard when a bird flush televisa han pheasant or rooster. I because i just didn't know right. All you do is watching videos and you hear those horror stories of people like last hands all day so long story short. It was a little scared and but intimidated by all of it. Yeah just just a lot and and it's not like it's not like a you know a scene where you can just ask somebody to take you understand that you know. It's a complete stranger with an accent. Asking you to share the field for for morning was a couple of guns and walking somewhere as i get that point but but after all i'm kind of a diy anyways and you know just try to learn ball and stuff and try to prove to a sudden pointed at can do it and then farm open to other people coming in. If that makes any sense. I just wanted to prove the point that i can do it myself. I so i went out and it was pretty straightforward. I didn't see many birds at the beginning. And minnesota makes it at the beginning of made it easier because you have those forty two eighty acre plots of. Wma's we just know you can go to. You know rather parking lot is it's very. It's very easy as kind of the and hunter museum park and hopefully bird right now. Where i'm at now in my life. It's totally depressing to me to hunt forty acres. But that's a different topic. At the beginning. This was perfect for me right. it's a good beginner's things like oh this is a spot you can go. You totally legal right. If somebody else you'd be nice you ask or you. Just leave you know. So things like that and edited a couple of times around the city. Isn't that eventually. I think the first bird The first wild bird shot over shooter was actually my neighbor and he came along with me that one evening and actually talked him into like. Hey you should come as a great place. I have never seen anything else but a great place and we walk in and it was all done to. He's actually a hunter. He grew up in morristown minnesota so he knows quite a bit and he helped me from then on just to understand a coupla things. A little better. He's not a dedicated peasant. Hunter bernie means but you know he has some ideas and so yeah. We walked out and and rent around and couple hands. Flush right in front of us throughout the war was really exciting. We've got a yellow. Tennis lousy could was awesome and eventually we were just about to turn back insists on with us to and we were just on the way to turn back and maybe one hundred fifty yards downhill dumb. Roosters just cackling like his brains out like six forty five minutes on our to sundown. Segui still have that much time and just cackling and keeps instead. Go right this is go down there. And by the time. And i was like what was that the roost of really..

"Obviously we're gonna get a run through the of the sports world That will get to We'll also talk about the cdc. I am so ready to never hear from the cdc again. Like i don't ever want to hear them talk again. I'm just tired of it like dry wrong or indifferent. I'm just tired of judah. Shudo's cdc goes. Okay stop came. I appreciate your work. I do tired of hearing from you. let's see here one of the things that we got here. Let's see are excessive with flair poll question. Of course tell me you're from northern colorado without telling me your northern colorado the takes in ear the opposite of hawaii is not that bad because honestly say reminds me of growing up in abilene texas I see okay okay. We'll talk about it. We we talked more about the the level and police when they're mocking the dementia patients get a text. I just don't understand how these guys made a conscious decision a choice to behave this way especially with body cameras. It seems to be stretched a bit far like bad acting. Stop get your conspiracy theories out of here. Get your conspiracy theories out here. It's not bad acting. It's it's there's bad people out there. Sorry it there are bad people out there. This just happens to be one of them. They just happened to be a cop. We'll talk more about that coming up as well. Let's take a look around sports the colorado rockies about this team nine and fourteen right now fifth you know west but last lied they get their first win on the road and took them extra innings. This team they kept pulling ahead giving up a run pulling ahead giving up. And i was not even i was nervous in the top of the In the top of the tenth inning. it was A couple of back to back home runs from ryan with man and cj crow so they they was forty. Four heading into extra innings. Remember baseball now with their new rule has started a runner on second base so Ryan mcmahon hit a two run. Home run goes up sixty four. Cj crow up goes up seven. Four thing it's all said and done well. It wasn't The san francisco giants Buster posey with a single start. The sort the bottom of the tenth off but then The carlos estevez settled it. Strikes out gets a strike out and then a double play ball the iraqis hold on to win nine to four Excuse me seventy-five moving their aggregates to nine and fourteen one and seven on the road It was it was an interesting nine the office for a lotta rockies hitters trevor story over four with a walker to strike outs mcmahon. We just talked about his home run. I was his only hid. Cj krone two. For three with two walks. Charlie blackmon finding it a little bit here as well. He ends a five game hitless streak with a couple of hits including two. Rbi devil he also found a way to walk. Josh point has looked awful last night over five geared hamson two for two in a pinch eating role moving into center field with with a solo shot as well. Same hillary and look bad so what there's spots in this offense that still really paddling but gonzales goes five innings only allows three hundred runs. You'll take that from gonzales and the rockies do end up getting the seven five win one and seven now on the road. It's not great but it's something The rockies back in action looking for a series win against the san francisco giants at seven forty five Tonight that will be first pitch time for the colorado rockies and the san francisco giants her mom marquez on the mound. Herman loves pitching in san francisco to remember his one hit Classic complete game that he threw not too long ago there. It's her mom marquez. Alex would taking them out tonight for the car at iraqis. Also ryan mcmahon now for the league lead in home runs with eight Let's take a look. At what else is going on. In the in the sports world that was the only local game that we had in action last night and the and the rockies at least made it made it a good one tonight. You've got the vegas golden knights at seven thirty taking the colorado avalanche that one is a big game The the vegas golden knights thirty four and eleven the avs thirty one and eleven ads coming off a four to one loss to the blues Availability is going to be key. Who can they have Who who's going to be available four the colorado avalanche tonight. His rantanen bag is grew our back. that's what We'll be a big thing. Renton is out tonight. Philip room our is out as well So it's a tall task for the colorado avalanche side. Let's see if they can get it done but he just right now. They already got the playoffs. While locked up now you just gotta worry about getting healthy. Getting guys off that cova. Nineteen list giving them back into the lineup. that's what the main focus is for the colorado avalanche four. The denver nuggets. It's to win as many games as possible right now and they They take on the pelicans tonight at seven o'clock in that one the the nuggets are forty and twenty one. One a couple in a row remember. They're they're just. They are beaten up right now with injuries but they are only four games out of the first. Two games back at the clippers. Three games back of the phoenix suns. Can they find a way to scrape in one of those three two or one spot. I just for some. It just feels like they're not going to be able to do that. But they're going to pick up a game on either the clippers or the phoenix suns tonight as the clippers and suns do battle at eight o'clock on. Espn if you're looking to watch that game The clippers and the sons That's huge so who i mean. Who do you root for do you want. Who do you want the clippers to fall back or do you want the sons to fall back. I think right now. Nuggets fans need to be cheering. Four sons tonight Just because if they do pick up and the nuggets win hall of a sudden. You're only a game back at the clippers. You can close that in and khoza a close in on a on a one game discrepancy. I think even to you're starting to look a little tough but let's look at the reminder of of the way here for the nuggets. They play the clippers again. So that's another reason that you want your bay were. We're all phoenix suns fan site. If we're paying attention to the standings for the denver nuggets that will do it.

Ryan mcmahon Charlie blackmon Alex ryan mcmahon forty three Two games Three games cj crow five game eight o'clock Herman ryan northern colorado Renton three hundred runs seven o'clock two walks Philip tonight

It's a just like a huge commitment of time but they said it was absolutely phenomenal. And then just brining doing beaver hams I guess the the fat content in beavers just the way that they said love is is like superb that it lends well to a lot of the the curing and preservation methods. So it's a little more less susceptible to drying out so it's more friendly to curing stuff because it's got some fat in the meat will even talked about a beaver. Two long and i had run out of chicken for the dog. So i just see vs some while was probably not acceptable for human consumption but okay for the dog taco bell meet. You know that taylor. We got the outer tail to that. Was that wasn't even like a julie role that wasn't even a tenderloin of the tail. Just a piece of which part of the. I mean. I don't know what section on the table does this outer tail me. It was a tender. Yeah very tender super super good flavor. Yeah definitely making that one again. I mean besides the filming that took obviously longtime to dukes always does. But that's really a fairly quick recipe once once you get allowed. The traffic is literally the longest part because once you throw the alligator in the suv e an three hours but not that long for slow cooking something and then just in. You came up with the recipe on the way up here to see us as i'm deb breasts. So the the famed three ingredient miniature dove wellington's and people are gonna like blow gasket at that but yeah so Basically some good old comfort food when it boils down to you. And i mean if you've had beef. Wellington venison wellington. or all. These other things it's very classic Very good description for a very classic yet. It's all comfort food really. Yeah has just bread in company Around beat yeah this year. So it with a wellington you you can get very fancy she. Can you like rap. The meat in shudo and mix and truffles and mushrooms. All this other stuff we we took all that and we just tossed it out and we need you. Yeah so Dove are amazing and most commonly people make doth poppers but we wanted to do something different. Which kind of spawned this. And i was like what if we take the little dove breasts and we caught them in Like a stone ground mustard or you could even use like a german mustard or anything in then we take crisanto because who doesn't croissants and we form a little Layer of crisanto Yeah yeah a little neat dove breast package out of out of crisanto and then throw it on a smoker and let it cook or the oven. Whichever one you have handy but I was super.

Canada Finance Minister Quits Post Amid Charity Scandal

"Look at a chapter of political tunnels. Now here in Canada where yesterday the country's finance. Minister Bill More No. Long one of the prime minister's closest political allies resigned it follows lingering ethics scandal that has surrounded Trudeau's government for some time by this stage well, today a little earlier prime to treat. That Christie Freeland Canada's deputy prime minister would replace bill more now at the finance ministry becoming the first woman to hold that post Donyell. The murmurings around bill more knows future had been simmering hearing the Canadian Press for several days. By the time, his resignation announcement came last night. What's your reaction to? What is yet another high profile resignation from Shudo's cabinets in the five years of says since he took office. Yeah, quite a quite another big controversy four Trudeau in the middle of summer I think you know off the bat whatever reason the liberals are given. Four giving for more knows exit here is a messy one that. It was said that he wouldn't be seeking election. Again, we'll be looking for other opportunities. We know that he'll be looking to helm the AC, which is a great post for him perhaps in a good career move. But at the end of the day, this comes down to. Another sticky situation for the prime minister that really threatens to derail the progress that they've made in. The coronavirus crisis namely their popularity with Canadians. But once again, another distraction for the prime, which raises questions about the ship he sailing and him as the captain let's say. This begs the question of whether Mr Trudeau is simply impossible to work with. Now this is just another controversy that comes only a week Tomasz after we spoke about the last controversy involving. The Governor General Julie Pie itch and the toxic workplace she's been accused of creating butts. The liberals the government to appoint a successor in Canada's first governor of the Bank of Canada and Christina Freelance who held the interesting post of Deputy Prime Minister and not a lot of Canadians were used to to that role before Justin Trudeau but she is his most senior cabinet minister and and now most trusted ally. But that group of People Tomasz as you know is is getting shorter as the months go on. It's seeming time and again, like Trudeau is is just a very tough guy to work with and when he doesn't get his way, well, you get run out of town we should also point out that. Bill, more know. Perhaps. Put. His foot in it and didn't help the situation on on the fact that he wasn't agreeing with the prime minister but we can set that aside they didn't handle that well but also a big controversy besides this is this we charity, of course where. He and his family and the Finance Minister and Bill Maher. Now both have personal and family ties to this charity and should have recused themselves. I don't think that. The, the picture, four Canadians by I think that picture. is becoming more and more for. Canadians. Like. An elite privilege class squabbling over not being able to work together and I think that really does not play well, obviously trudeau lost. His majority after the last election and who knows where it's it's going from here because it doesn't seem like he's going to be able to keep some of his top ministers around for very long?

"Between of being lockdown. I've had all of the emotions like every kind of emotion I've had from the week before the business had to close to decide what what we were going to do before the government do told was and then the first week I was kind of lazy and then the second week I was just enjoying the moment of quiet now having to do and then like this week. Now I've been busy busy busy organizing dance almost so we'd have emotions. I'd say about you you adopted into this okay and you find implanted to go out and slowly think and this is what. I've been talking to a lot of people in the industry where I think like because we've been so busy. There's nearly as like dealing of guilt. Almost you know what I mean because like everything's cancelled We can't really plan too far ahead so we've gone from having like the whole year plan to sudenly sitting down and thinking what to do next so for me. Easy that Wisconsin everything. Kinda start counseling down and then you know the shutdown of the Ceylon was. It would lay Again how the safety is most important and but now I'm kind of if I'm honest John. I'm enjoying having time with my family. And they're not annoying me to think he's been. We've all got a heads around. We're all in this or the same. We're all in it together. So initially was a shock. Wasn't it because again? You had some bookings going on different things we would do in it but now. I'm Kinda waking up each morning. She in kin and I feel a bit guilty for Sinus. Almost umbrella over enjoy myself. Not exactly a name isn't it? You're like you're like you're not entitled to that because you don't have all this works to actually it's a whole world is on pause. You do guilty about it because you know there's so many people suffering obviously the medical profession epidemic of wonderful thing but from a selfish industry. Point of view is quite nice to have a little bit of time down and I think the thing about it is creative. Energy is to really let that go. Wouldn't you agree? Trina yeah like in the sense as well. I think that as hairdressers we do tend to dot to you know new things that are happening. I think as a creative especially when the night stops. That's when your brain starts to walk more so I think it's good to it's nearly its forces into this space that we stop and think in a different way put lives or instagram lives. Connor Katrina deserve. What's your take on this? I've just kind of doing one of them at the minute. An quite well because they came more from like not being able to stop so he's a great. Yeah we'll be watching what you do in. Yeah sounds great Wednesday night but we want to learn a little bit more of the guys and I know you are massive. I mean you both huge in Ireland. I know that and certainly across European giving listeners. A little bit of a heads up less work at how you came together. I in you know as a bit of a collaborative force would not be. Right in saying the purview. You you definitely got so. Let's start off with yourself. Khanna gives a bit a heads upon who you are the hairdresser and where you are right now so I suppose I'm Harris in eight years at this stage and I. I was inclined of a really big company for a long time. And they're quite good. I got quite actually started to feel like the same thing over and over again. I started to feel like I didn't actually like hair anymore. It's actually like I didn't like industry. I DOT COM to panic. Decided why didn't realize actually that I was just talking to roll and I think sometimes you don't realize until you're on the outside of it and so what happened was I think I think Katrina. Just start shot and over instagram. And WHO's just like? Who says MoD one? Who'S IN WAY MASSACHU- requests headier? Then we got gotten on. Education is always something that. Kinda I wanted to get into a bit more Fulltime Amway's doing a bit of a time never under my own name was always under the company's name or through a brand or something like that on my stock trainer kind of thing and I think Katrina just Matt The exact point where we both kind of a bit of a real realized that we could actually Jewish collaborate and fuel each other's trae tippety android without overpower each other and that was about maybe two years ago. We did some projects together from them. Brunch did our own things again but we always bounce back to each other and to check in and see. How can we build your auto home? We create something together. You know advised that way on so since then. I've left and bigger company. I now work with wildflower crate. Shudo which is kind of crazy flow bespoke kind of area in Dublin on Bhai Danica Garner Ideal Cooper. Dare I have my own Education Connor James Education and I still. I know what a couple of bronze on my own terms and Katrina now are starting to poke. That's kind of where I'm at the independent iconic. Oh you lucky. The indecent of freelance work with lots of different various brands educational. You kind of in a free place to as you want when you want. Yeah exactly am I think that's a really? I don't think you can actually put a value on that radio and I think that's you know I think that's the way businesses need to be if they want to retain stuff. I think that's like more business. Owners are seeing that those that aren't are probably finding harder to retain staff Co. I kind what about you Katrina and so I guess is well like that a stage where are my education. I had my own education for three or four years on against was educate brand online education. was like going radio. I was trailed with it. Got to a stage where I was ready to kind of you know. Whistleblower complaint stems from Trump's call with Ukraine's president

"Breaking news CNN reporting the president trump press Ukraine's president to investigate Joe Biden's son and this is part of the whistle blower complaint to the Intelligence Communities Inspector General House House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says this about the allegations and team trump's efforts to keep the complaint hidden quote if the President has done what has been alleged that he is stepping into a dangerous minefield with serious S. repercussions for his administration and our democracy out right now our chief national security correspondent Jim Shudo former assistant secretary for the Department of Homeland Security under President Obama uh-huh Juliet and the former assistant us attorney for the Southern District of New York Harry Sandik so Jim let me just start here with some basic one of the things that goes to the heart of this. We're learning there was no explicit quid pro quo on this particular phone call right it was on July twenty fifth but we know the president president trump asked for an investigation and into Joe Biden's family eight times on that call and then he delayed the aid to Ukraine. He didn't release the aid until three congressional committees started investigating that call his and Rudy Giuliani's ties to Ukraine. Could there be a quid pro quo that we don't yet know about him well. The timing is indicative here. We don't know what we what we do know. Though is substantive enough right. I mean remember during the during the two thousand sixteen campaign as a candidate president trump welcomed welcomed from a foreign government dirt on his political opponent so here we have in two thousand nine thousand nine hundred as president with all the powers that that brings. He pressured a foreign government to dig up dirt on his political opponents son. That's a qualitative step forward to use of the office this for political gain and listen. There's a lot more to learn about this into your question Erin. We don't know there was an explicit connection between that demand eight eight times in one phone call and a few days later the delay of that aid I mean the timing is suspicious but even if you don't get to that point using the pressure of the office with the intent of going after a political opponents. It's something that at a minimum should cause pause and that listen listen folks at home after the side of that something that they're comfortable with their president doing Harry could what trump did be illegal. Yes it could be. There are a number of different in legal theories bribery extortion campaign finance violations. They all do require a quid pro quo but the quid pro quo doesn't have to be expressed a a signed contract or a handshake it can be implicit taken as an understanding from what is going on as as Jim just said the common common thread of the Criminal Law theories is you may not use a public office for private gain and by a number of different theories that is against the law and that seems to be what's happening here and Juliette when when it's interesting when Harry says it it doesn't have to be an explicit claim signed contract of a quid pro quo Alex Marquardt or just reported on Ukraine's readout of that call
