She didn't she knew how kiss by those like so much. It's my friend with her. Her brain was all here Her she she was. She's one of the people that would come to school thinking that they're pregnant at thing that they're pregnant and yeah he's she. Was that crazy and one day. I came home from school. I called her her answer a phone and he threatened me on the phone. He's a talk to my daughter again. Coa there's gonna be consequences. Panned he said i can be in the same classroom. Azer he be on the same bus. He can't be anywhere by her house. Like okay. So i thought i crying. I told my mom to my dad. I told the school had security on escort. Mate to my classrooms had to that on that day and yeah that was crazy so my second girlfriend so i'm going to rate her. I'm going to rape my first girlfriend. Five out ten. "Much to unpack here. I guess i i. I will say when it comes to the food. I i grow really. I think having an issue with asian food. I my dad's white. My mom wanted to assimilate really well. I didn't eat asian food. I was like. We'll give you my hamburgers mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. That's what i want. And so i actually think looking back. My mom was probably a little disappointed that her like. She's an immigrant who moved to this foreign country in a place where asians aren't exactly valued by any means and her child doesn't care about her culture doesn't care about her cuisine. But i do remember watching survivor thailand with my mom and i must have been no more than ten years old at the time and you know during those scenes you turn to me and told me just so you know. Even though you're half white half asian you'll always be perceived as asia. Yeah you know and like her having a very much frustration with how they were reacting to her talk about eating food and like the etiquette around that. I won't tell you how many times in my life people have been surprised that i don't know how to use chopsticks and further record. I do know how to use chopsticks. i just don't like them. And i should not be expected to them. Because even though i am asian filipinos do not use chopsticks so The idea of like eating with your hands also comments parts of the world and we associate that with light with class and like savagery. Sometimes and you know it's important to unpack. Why do we think that. Why do we go in that direction. But yeah the sheyanne. And the food thing i think really hit close to home to me and that's why it was surprising when so many people are like. Why is she on the all star. I'm she like the huge character. That was so significant to me in particular you know and yeah i agree special shadow to my asian celebration chat on twitter but because i asked them as well about topics you and i should be covering but they also spoke a lot about seeing sheehan for the first time in relief. Feeling like that person looks like me. And i'm so grateful to be on there and like a few folks actually wrote that in the chat even to this day they hold that feeling with her and that connection rather maybe to her so again. It's so beautiful. And so frustrating at the same time if that makes sense to see to see her but then she was treated from that jerem and i think a lot of just drew from that. I mean i always joke that identify with them in asian american with highly inflated sense of self just like her so we have a lot in common but yeah i think she an struggled free. There's lots of reasons why reasons why people struggle on these shows but you know that she's different than all these other people especially on a season that was very southern. Very middle america and so. That's even harder to do that and earlier. I mentioned daniel. Liu and bruce who also struggled with group cohesion being included. And you know there was a choice to cast more introverted. People are people who do not fit in in a way and so in a game that is based on social dynamics that choice to cast more introverted as individuals is pretty much setting them up to fail for the most part. I mean you. I while i think there's a case. Perhaps that asians are more likely to be introverted. And i think very specific to the region in like japanese korean. Some chinese groups are more introverted in sense in the american sense. British people are also known to be introverted. There's a lot of i remember. When i went to london. There was a whole thing about. Americans are super friendly..

"Is smart sunday morning things i mentioned here but he's not like the nerdy asian the introverted asian. And someone who is also who'd never be described as bookish in my opinion it's nice to see someone who is who is not quite that as well you know. I think you'll and yamen from cook. Islands and fiji respectively. We're really praised for their nerdiness. And i think they were rightfully deserving of that. There are really fun characters to watch. But i think it's really important to remember that like asian americans don't need to be brainy or intelligent to be valued right. I think the same critique happens a lot when there has been the black youth have been killed by police. you know they don't have to be a rising star. They don't have a star athlete or highly intelligent or nearly perfect to feel like their life matter and so i don't think it's important to remember that while you know agents are capable of being intelligent and most people see us as such not. Everyone is worth should not be based in your perception of our intelligence right. I mean how often have you heard or at least i've heard of course we're going to math. You're asian a little diminishing people's experiences and our hard work in their efforts nerdy intelligent. That's a really big one. I think the other one is like introversion that comes with that. it's the shyness. I was thinking back about the three. I like asian american contestants. And i wrote down as sheyanne daniel. Liu and bruce. And they're all kind of introverts Who deal with like social inclusion. Sorry social cohesion differently. Yeah yeah thoughts about those those individuals. Yeah i think in for those of you. Don't know but i covered survivor thailand for r. j. p. i can't even remember as what top or were season. And if that makes it was like i had a visceral reaction to how they were treating she and because again it feels so just. I don't look like she sheyanne right like at all. But i look. I've been there. I've been there with the person that's eating something gross disgusting as The other rob right a lot of the times and especially with chicken I don't know about you. Kevin and how your you know. Maybe mom would like prepare food but definitely for me. Something like i learned from the matriarchs in my family. Was you ate chicken. And then you maybe chew the bones because it has good mero and if you do that let me know. Because i know that my family's not alone and you know it was just. I don't know that it's an asian thing but i know that's something i did and it was refreshing watching someone on tv. Do that. because i know that when i'm in public i won't do that and it's more that i don't want people to think that i'm weird. Or whatever right etc all of these reasons. Why but i remember. When i was dating my husband and i was like okay. I feel comfortable enough. Don't want this. You know really good drumstick that i made like to go to waste so. Let's just do it. Sasha you can do it. And i remember that moment and he was like what the heck and my husband's indian but he's never even seen it so it was interesting to see she and you know like these showing up in this way. I'm and like unfortunately being ostracised for and that was one of the many reasons of course she was also given again the like he sneaky to me. She doesn't get along she's different and it's like maybe she doesn't look like you and that's that's what's different and just like call it out my guy we just do that. Yeah yeah i mean. I actually think the thing is is really pivotal to me. So so.

"Up. And i think that they would have probably tried to sell it to rob like. Hey come with us like like. I don't think that they would've voted out amber and then had it be open. War with with rob rob might like might not have played that game but i think they i think they would have been like. Hey rob come with us. And let's vote out. Janet and rupert and definitely in very different game. I don't know if you'll find many more pivotal voice and that jerry. But we'll take out and you know and jerry like i like like wonder if there would have been some sort of like You know just like alliance like felt like yeah. Yeah so all right. That's how happen. All right terry alley. Cathy loved one being she. And you're gonna give it a try here. Is there anything you want. How i loved ones. I mean video. I like this episode. I think as well. I guess there are a lot more than you do. It's not my favorite of the season by any means but again you get some emotion out of them with with all the videos rob making this strategic move at this point after he already you know hurt to people so bad with betraying kathy and lex with the last vote and he's trying to just kind of bring some levity back into the group better with with everybody gets their letters and trying to kind of make make amends with them even though obviously you know sheyanne clocks in heave and admits like yeah. There's there's definitely a strategic element obvious. You know my brother's going to kill me. But is there a delay.

"Off. Yeah yeah so then. That vote is actually pretty wild at kathy tells says in the next episode of the basically They could call there. They had the votes of that. I think it would have been. What hatch jerry sheyanne kathy. They could've voted out. Coby without telling lex would any rich thought. That's what they were doing right. That's it well. Yeah then bamboozled. He really thought it was going to happen. I think that really changes the whole season at called because there yeah yes so it does because kobe is is still playing the game with lex with ethan at what he was planning to do until he ends up getting taken out in the next episode or whatever hatch is way more of an active player than kobe. Ever could be. I think So when he gets back if here is sniffs out whatsoever that you know there was a talk on getting him out. I don't know what he does or if he's able to make anything happen there with maybe with kathy and and jerry to maybe even take a shot at not gonna happen there. Nothing shot likes. But i don't know it definitely is is a different look there. I mean they loose. Sony challenges pre-marriage that like so many people go home like my thought process. Is these big guys going premed. Anyway you can decide the order and also obviously. That really complicates things with sue which is about to happen in the next at least at that point which has been voted out so that would be kind of complicated but i think from a perspective of me. Is he kind of taking along. People can control more getting rid of these guys in some sort of order. I think that lex can never forgive kathy if she makes that. Move without going to him and lex. If she doesn't do it she doesn't do it. 'cause cannot forgive anybody who has gone against him in any way. Trust you implicitly to be able to work with you in the game and then kathy's ours is able to realize that as far as richard goes in terms of His performance overall. I've always been disappointed. By how rich. Approach the all-star shannon that could that could mean so many things like that wasn't really trying and i felt like that he wasn't really trying to. I always felt like that he wanted to look like. Hey i didn't even care. Like i wasn't even trying like even when he gets voted out. Like you see my pain like how much i wanted to be there. When i get dollars right but but i just feel like richard when he gets like been bamboozle anyways like food food food. He's dancing on the way out like it just always irked me that i felt like that i feel like he like he did care but he wants us to feel like he didn't care. Isn't that annoying. Yeah yeah. I think he definitely did a good job in telling us how much he didn't care throughout the whole season of Of him obviously just saying. I don't care about this or anything like that. I think he was just you know i got this. I know what i'm doing. You know this is. This game is easy. They were gonna go one by one. You go bye by now And that was how he just controlled his own narrative and then when it was time for him to get bamboozled he was like. Oh like i think he genuinely did you know for sure. He definitely didn't think it was in that night. It seemed like he was Feeling the plan was uncle And then at that point. I think that's just kind of who. He is as a person or at least a mayor of like not really looking to admit full defeat their fault that sucked. But you know they were gonna get me eventually. Probably i guess. Anyway they didn't want the winners in. So whatever Low expectations if.

"Other. And i made me realize. I'm compelled by both of these things like i probably rather it was fun but i'm compelled by. I wouldn't want it every time. But like i'm compelled by like raw human emotion like what the psychological game can do to people and studying that and i think maybe the best example of that in the us because the game is still in its infancy just a couple of years earlier. Alliances are immoral and then turning is moral is immoral and then let's add in some real friends like there are some dynamics thing here that colleges should study on. That was fascinating about the game to me. So while it is doc and at times i to get through i was never bought and i was always really interested in that dynamic big moments like even when she does go out there you have a kind of like the downfall of alicia alicia has that conversation. She was she and being like shan wants to come talk to her and unleashes. Like i'm good. I'm good. I don't really wanna talk. We know our plans all set in stone cut ahead. What ten minutes in leash is gone so The people at that point who like you said like we're kind of rooting for the big alliance to have some kind ahead be taken out them Alicia is pretty indignant about you. All things Sheyanne and ultimately Who ends up going out there. It's frustrating. I feel like to watch because i feel like that. You'd have a lot of people just playing for okay. I think that rob is going to struggle to win in the end. And it just feels like there's a lot of people fighting for okay somehow like rob is dominating the season but he's also a goat with the jury and that that is a very unusual dynamic in survivor. But maybe. I shouldn't say that. Because i feel like that It's not dissimilar to what we talked about last week with survivor. Samoa i also think it. At the time i would ask you. Did people see boston. Rovers were bitty juries as understood by the audience know and expect that he would win as a child. I thought robb would win. I don't think i kind of could recognize only lost three to four. But i don't know they were there. Were forty coulda got. That might have been like you ceiling. But i was thinking about this today and like i just. I don't necessarily like that. There's an under no circumstances. Lex vote for rob under no circumstances. Tom vote for rob does a leash. O- vote for rab. Just it's just because she end when they go to the reunion and they have Well if if you took jenna instead she and says i would have voted for jenna. I would've voted for rob. There is a world where he gets the four votes. it's just not next to amber. And that's why people. I think people were recommending. Would that have that are we. Are we sure about that. Let's just through unlikable people at that point. Yeah people say swap because she added the only one that wasn't anti rob she was really pro-am mba. So abbas what they had to wait for the next thing. Just humor me for one second. Okay so geno versus rob lex votes for jenna. I think should probably votes general then big tom. Votes for jenna and rupert votes. For general ripper rob than i don't know i mean bruce has a lot i don't know that ruben agenda i think he i think he would. He voted for sandra both times. I think like we never talk about rob as someone who gave up the game. We'll even colby style and that's because that would be ridiculous. 'cause he married amber like imagine he cuts ambling. They probably don't get married right and then possibly neither of them have a million dollars. It's a terroristic things over million dollars for a mad. Could tell you about john and neta together after brother candidate to after john did the same thing i i think that they would have passed a come on you know it just. It wasn't going to happen. Yeah yeah birds in the in the recent. Podcast jacobs taking weinstein on mathematical game theory principles. We talked a lot about survivor. Being a zero sum game where you can winner-takes-all and then how can be a variable some game if you put in other utilities. So what else madison. You and i think we've talked about this being maybe the biggest example where it changes the game. You changes the fabric of the game. Because boston rob conscious to try to win. Ended up marrying her like he wins to get a million dollars in shed out system. They really really did like this is i. Think the biggest example we see and there's a lot of examples of additional utilities. But like who's gonna vote out. Obviously what was true. Love someone you're going to marry at the trump getting million dollars when if you go together. Petty a million dollars together. It was the wildest thing that was possible. And that i can tell you at the time nobody there was. There thought that this was going to last that it is a beautiful story that robin amber that they're together. What like eighteen years now afford off beautiful family so this is like the all time greatest reality tv loves to are better than i. Don't think that there's a bachelor story. Even if there is a bachelor a couple of eighteen years you. You don't see it as like people always talk about you know survivor or even big brother like when couples meet on those shows. The bond is just so much stronger. Because you're going through tough experience together on a dating show So when the bond forms there and robert amber become robin amber over the course of nine thousand nine hundred episodes. And then you get to the finale and there's a proposal and then it's it's amber wins but they both win and the families are there and everybody's happy for them. Never see this moment again survivor. And if you do. I don't wanna watch it because i don't wanna see them copying robin amber story. It's just the final two and it's real. It's just like you said if it had dissipated if it didn't pan out maybe all these years we don't look back at it the same but this was real it israel and it's again it's never going to happen again Yeah i'm a hopeless romantic. And i just love the rumba story. I am a sucker for it. I cheer up at all. The beautiful moments like. I do feel really privileged to watch this really genuine love story. That's going to be a lifelong love story. Unfold in front of us. I think that if robin amber on that couple as they blow up never make it to. The alter the season is borderline on watchable on the rewards. I think that they carry so much. But i'm really privileged to see what is going to be a lossing levin this story. I remember watching the proposal in real time when i was a kid and it was especially someone who didn't know kind of the legends that have been taken out at the cost of that love story. It was all about roger and to see kind of culminate in that. I mean i cried watching it yesterday to omega had thirty two seasons and look at the four kids running onto the island. It's just it's survivor. The whole arc of survivor and the way that they brought the two back for the winter season the fact that amber came back. I don't know if we want to get.

Us fish and wildlife service and the us agency for international development and the department of defense and there is dod thirty eight million dollars. The department of defense is giving to what was once a wildlife foundation that then changes its name to echo. Health alliance talks about being partnered to make global healthier and safer place environmentally friendly and yet our own department of defense is filtering money that we have to assume is getting into h. chinese laboratory where they're developing what i think you have to describe is potentially a bio weapon. That's where i'm at right now again. All of this. I know we're sort of just putting pieces together. And i've told you on this show. I'm not here to tell you that this is a true. I'm showing you is what we're looking at. And what really has my interest and the questions. I'm asking right now. Here are my honest questions. What in the hell is. The united states of america. Doing funding bio weapon research in china. Now maybe i'm old school. Maybe i have not been to a history class in some time. But when i grew up there was two nations. We were told we should always really keep you know our eyes on russia. The soviet union and china yes. I'm giving away my age. A little bit sherry ten penny already. Did that for me. The point be. Why is our government developing ways that virus gated function to become totally deadly and spread easier amongst human beings. Why is that research being done. And then when we have what is described as or looks like an obvious even sanjay gupta and everybody. That's not talking. I had the whole time. Why are we not looking at wonder appears to be a lab release. Why are we not asking ourselves. Is this really accidental. I mean would we back in the day. And the john wayne day the united states of america had said you know what we've just been attacked by china no and did that i mean i find this astounding. We didn't start there so we you know the lighter side would be well. It may be a bio weapon but it was an escape by a weapon. What's the difference. How do you determine whether you've been bob with something or just escaped when it's just an infections weeping the entire world we don't know and we certainly aren't going to know if our languaging in the united states of america doesn't even include. You're not even allowed to say on any social media platform there is. You're not even allowed to say it's escape in the lab. No you have to say. It's a natural virus that came naturally a wet market seven hundred miles away from the nearest living bat. That's what we were allowed to say. That's all robert redfield was allowed to say. Why did the us government decide that. That was all that was allowed to be said. And then as though. I'm not there bowls. Administrations are wrapped up in this by the way but because it deals with health. I'm going to jump this. So then we finally have an investigation where we're gonna fine only be allowed to send in a team to try and figure out origin and really question this narrative coming out of china and the only american or the only american representative is someone that has been funding. The studies of this potential bioweapon in wuhan filtering money from the nih and the department of defense boy. Oh boy does this stink. And it's shocking to me. That as far as i know we are the only media source visual television. Like that is actually starting to investigate this. And why does this matter. I mean again am. I really isn't that old fashioned. To think of china as an enemy instead of as a friend. We've talked about the great reset. Well i want to sort of underpin this with an article that came out many many years ago that popped in as we started asking questions about china. Here's an amazing article. This is apparently a speech that was leaked. The speech was in two thousand and three the secret speech of general chee. How sheyanne now. This is a very long again. If you want it in your hands. I think you should read the whole thing. But i'll give you the gist of it. Here is what he said to the communist party of china in a private meeting. The center of world civilization is shifting. It's shifted from the east to western europe and later to the united states. Now is shifting back to the east therefore we referred to the nineteenth century as the british century and the twentieth century. The american century the twenty first century will be the chinese century. He makes a lot of comparisons of their china to hitler and nazi germany. But this is the most important part for what i wanna say. Conventional weapons such as fighters cannons missiles and battleships won't do neither will highly destructive weapons such as nuclear weapons. We not as foolish just to want to perish together with america by using nuclear weapons despite the fact that we have been exclaiming that we will have the taiwan issue resolved at whatever cost only by using non destructive weapons. That can kill many people. Will we be able to preserve america for ourselves. There has been rapid development of modern biological technology and new bio weapons have been invented one another of course. We have not been idle in the past years. We have seized the opportunity to master weapons of this kind. We are capable of achieving our purpose of cleaning up america all of a sudden when comrades. Alpine was still with us the party. Central committee had purse. Bit cassatt perspicacity to make the right decision not to develop aircraft carrier groups and focus instead on developing lethal weapons that can eliminate mass populations of the enemy country. There he is the man the myth the legend. Apparently our friend house sion really. This is a country that we should be sharing our nih investigations into gain of function. This is a country we should be sharing with and when there is.

People had drawers full of our respondents and notes about that well. Let's get out of the creepy and talk a little glamour here. My old friend my darling. What was glamorous. what was fabulous as ing too. You get something that comes to mind. Oh well The vanity fair oscar parties By couldn't believe i was actually there. I had read about it. You know i grew up in new york and And do you. I mean. I was just listening to the radio. Because there's some kind new biography about truman capote and there's always talk about truman capote black and white ball and i guess it was in college when that happened and looking at into reading the stories and thinking oh would i ever be invited to something like that and then there was maybe not ten years later i was at the vanity fair oscar party. And who did you see. That blew your mind. Oh everybody Everybody laughed when i saw the taylor. I almost fainted face to face with. Oh tom hanks. I got in line for a drink once. And i looked behind me. And there was Clive owen and Just everybody cate blanchett and and you You Grant I mean it was amazing. Of course of course a challenge to jan weather you've experiences to You know how early on in a conversation. I liked to always always early on identify myself as a member of the press. So that whatever someone said to me. I wasn't sandbagging them to repeat it so i was a you know a delicate dance you learn to. Do i think about the way things were were you at the beginning type article on like carbon paper and then you know thirty at the bottom half coning pictures and now you can just write an article from home in an email it in. You've really changed adapted with the times. I should say how they started. It's still manual typewriters. And my my tale of what it was at the Not always generous. Clinical was that the first day. I asked the office manager for an eraser for that manual typewriter. And he gave me one of those round discs with the green brush attached to it. If you're of any remember those but it was a used one and then we went to about the time. I got promoted to a full time writing job. We were converting to computers. Set would be nineteen seventy eight and And i remember asking my boss. Oh i'm going to type. I on typewriter and then i'll write it and then i'll type it into the computer. Wow san francisco has had some incredible Famous people you know you mentioned who have cain. We also have a lot of you know attorneys and and Classic ladies like jo schuman silver and. Yeah you know. Charlotte my yard and all these crazies What a great place to cover. Yes well at first. So in my work i was really not covering san francisco so much as i was covering the larger scene because herb still was at the top of his game and The first instructions. I had about this column. That was going to be creative of items was don't Irritate hurricane don't make him by john his territory. Because you know one bit of annoyance and you'll get the back of his hand and you won't have a column anymore right now. They're very very careful. Whenever i came across a local item i would present it to him like a dog ringing slippers to the master. Ask league arctic of the san francisco chronicle. I think about correspondences with fans and like my mom used to write a letter now and then to hurricane and she was always shocked that he would write back. How did that did people send you gift sir. Weird things in the mail That's so much Not so much gift. Herb was notoriously a more of a gift collector. I had my favorites people that i really felt like. I knew as so. I knew them. 'cause they read me every day they knew my thoughts especially as time went on. And i got more freer a a free myself to write. What i thought and there was one lady her name is molly griffin and I was struck. She was an older lady and we corresponded and she was so sweet and she had grown up in the neighborhood where i live. My mother's first name had been molly and she didn't grow up there. She she lived there but she i think she came from brooklyn to where i'm from anyway. I was just making the bed and a guest room the other day and on it is an afghan that molly griffin aid and sent to me. Oh yeah when My grandchildren i oh. I told her at one point. My mom who is quite elderly at that time had a stroke and molly griffin crocheted slippers. Incent them to be to give to my. I mean it was very touching to me those relationships extremely You know what you know. What a movie. Buff i am. So what's a movie that. Got it right when it comes to an you know a newsroom. "Thing is about. You only have thirty three items in dots. How you structure your wardrobe. So i'm not really about that. I think that's great. And if you're interested in that than some i'm really about organizing your closed. it's about curated set of clothes and accessories. That all work together. Okay i like that. Definition that pressure. That i've seen before of a certain number of items of clothing always sort of stopped me in my tracks and i thought i don't know that i that i wanna conform that much to just stopping at a certain number but i love what you said about organizing and know that for me and for many listeners of the show that is a constant struggle as we. Have you know multiple people in our home. Living kids who are constantly bringing new things in and just staying organized as a family is difficult enough and then it's overwhelming when you feel like your wardrobe is unorganized and not curated in the way that it needs to be okay so then Talk to us about the benefits of using a capsule wardrobe. So there's tons but go over you know my top few issue time when you're choosing from a group of close that you know all work together a simple buys things and you don't stand in front of your closet for a team twenty minutes trying to figure out what you're gonna wear you know and it's easy to pick saves you money so no more frivolous shopping. You know we all do it or didn't where you buy those random items here there everywhere and then you buy another random items match that random item that you were initially bought nothing goes off and you just have this closet full of random things and sheyanne. You've spent all the money so you know what you have what you need. And then you know the color parameters that you're working within and so it eliminates a whole whole bunch of clothing options for you so it simplifies it. Saves you money no more caused over. Well it's a way of organizing being so you don't feel inundated when you look in your closet which is a horrible feeling in a horrible way to start your morning And then this is my favorite confidence so a lot of my clients. Come to me. And they're not company in their style. They they wanna address better. They don't really know how you know they're middle aged and they put themselves on the back burner finally decided it's time for them know. The kids are a little bit older. They're ready to put at the time. Money and energy into them But they just don't know how to pull together. There were jokes so a capsule wardrobe gives you confidence because you know it all works together. You plan it out ahead of time and to each. Is it easy to go in there and competent. Choose something that you're going to look good and you'll get in to head out your day. But then of course the question becomes. How do we do it like. How do we build a capsule wardrobe. Because i always have known the benefits but then i stopped short of actually doing one. Because i'm not really sure how to how to put one together where it's easier than you think So what i have my client do is start with a essential pieces so these are the pieces that at you can move from castle to castle so you can have multiple capsule wardrobes. I just want to put it out to okay. So what kind of go through the steps. And i'll talk on that but you have your eight essential pieces so those are a little black dress okay. Black pants black pencil skirt. Why blazer white blouse like an oxford blouse white t shirt and a trench coat. So those are the kind of classic the classic capsule so now what i have my clients do is make that their own. If you're not in a corporate setting or you work from home you probably don't need a black pencil skirt. So make back. Lasker a black maxine links kirk kinda lowey and more comfortable. Gotcha black blazer. If that's maybe a little too structured you get a knit blazer or use a cardigan in just these are just kind of the basic pieces that you need. You can also choose the color that she wants your base. You choose your base color. So black is the most common because.

"So yeah i think the problem with robin hood and valleys that ride. Now you cannot crohn's or out your cryptic coins from from those phone to some areas so for any reason if you wanna kinda completely melodic theft phone. You're left with one option at one option. The as you got cash out equipped crypto. Get the cash and go to some coin. Base by crypto. The problem here is that the new cash on you gotta pay taxes. So that's pretty unfortunate because people should have the ability to move to another affluent without having to pay taxes but these phone That if you wanna move to cash out In that's a downside. I mean but don't get me so much good things that offered by these bombs Actually robbing brought like retail millennial investors to finance and expose him decryption. So there's good stuff but there's bad stuff ashville for years. The crypto industry has been advocating for certain changes to the way crypto tax in particular they would like to see what's called a diminished miss exemption for crypto transactions which means side under a certain dollar amount of credit transactions would not be taxed so that would enable you to buy a cup of coffee with with bitcoin without triggering a taxable event. What do you think the prospects are now for something like that to go through. Get so this. Bill was introduced I think twenty nine hundred or something like that in ever states. You know it was a cohen happened. And there's a change in new administration. So i don't even know that this bill is right now but by those we don't know like pretty much said that if you're if you're transacting on the six hundred bucks oh last Taxable event so so. That's the deal. I mean it's it's good for the adoption but at the same time. The way that they've gone has been soaring over the past few years. I will need burks. Small like a investment tool or capitalist. Ed i would. I don't see people spending it to to buy you know a cup of coffee or stuff like that. Because i don't think is designed to work as a currency Be just about to say. I think the nice thing about the diminished was just the sense that and i may be wrong but i don't think it was specifically just around bickering. I'm one hundred percent on boris. Sheyanne like i used my own bitcoin personally to purchase starbucks or dunkin donuts. Or anything like that. But i think you know if you have another asset that is currently used more medium exchange. I mean i personally that as we continue to see a price increase in stabilized and bitcoin will eventually get to kind of different aspects of money. That is used for kinda still in that store. Evalu- rain right now. But yes. I think that's the nice thing is that it's not just four. Bitcoin's if you have other assets you prefer to use like tron or something like that where you know that there may be a a higher supply where you can easily purchase more at roughly the same cost than it kind of makes sense but Yeah i don't think there's been much like new news. I think under the new biden administration. It's kind of a wait and see with what biden yellen and some of the new appointments where they go where they started in how that kind of place out. There was one other potential. Change that fincen flagged which is The agency released noticing. It intended to amend regulations so that so-called f bar or foreign bank and financial account requirements are applied to crypto held overseas. So what what does that mean. What does that mean trip to holders a right. Now if you're holding crypto in a foreign exchange or location it's not subject to buy voting Fdr as like a like a form that you follow a defense said whenever you have any type of assets exceeding ten thousand dollars in any in any time during the period so to be like super clear here. It's not applicable right now. Far is not to right now but in january the vincent released like a very brief note. I think twenty twenty days. Oh two or something like that saying at they intend to change that Again that's that's all they said. So if if if they released past at low if you're holding crypto l. let's s something like finance dot com and at any time during the year eight exceeded ten thousand box. You'd have disclosed does not mean that you got to pay taxes on eating that you just had to disclose under the bank secrecy. Act all right. So why don't we end on tips for twenty twenty one. Because i think we can all feel in our bones that twenty twenty one is going to be a big year for crypto tips for people to establish habits that would help them now so not to establish now so that a year from now they can breathe through their taxes. Okay so just know that. Ira's pretty much of the going from this educational mode to more like enforcement top. Starting twenty twenty one. Just i would say this stone playing you know games and just just reported gains for crypto And then just make sure you answer questions just just be a barrel out griffin taxes wearing just know like little things like selling your long-term grip toys over his official do tax harvesting makes you don't in crypto you have gained big a motto unrealized gains And then last but not leasing to make sure you use some crypt attacks. So fair it. That's the only way you can know you arrive amount of gains losses any. You don't use those things you're gonna be old paying taxes or you're going to be standing income and you can expose yourself to the irs. Oh it was online points dan. What about you know about best. I think he gave a great summary. I mean we've seen personally with with our new twenty twenty one Customers that are coming in for likely twenty twenty one taxis in their purchasing on average three point eight years worth of tax forms the racing a ton of increase adoption from a compliance perspective. Where they're coming back neither amending seventeen eighteen nineteen twenty. They may have never filed for those years in there now filing for the first time. They're seeing a lot of increase adoption. Not only from the movement of the ten forty question but we've also seen the irs civil and criminal divisions now with investments in decrypt though tax software and and oblong alex services to now be able to go out and use this officer enforcement the racing not only like the Increase compliance on the front end but increased enforcement on the back end. John mentioned you know. The tax starving is huge ability to really offset your gains and the cool thing is that it can be used for crypto and non crypto as well so if you have w. income if you have stocks bonds those things donations to big one and then as we mentioned earlier just keeping track of what you're using i think is the biggest one you know. She on mentioned using their tax provider. You know i. I strongly believe in in both of our companies. You know we've raised venture capital. We have built solid teams solid product. Been around for quite some time so using a tax software is definitely a great tool and then just making sure you're keeping track of what you're using as we started the conversation worth you don't have to track every transaction or anything like that gas vs him be included in those Wallet address this as we mentioned. So it's really making sure you're tracking what you're using using a tax software is really kind of like the the bow on the end. I guess all right great. Well thank you for helping me give listeners. A very comprehensive show. Where can people learn more about each of you and then let your in coin tracker and crypto taxes in general. Yeah i mean. I'm pretty active on twitter. Yeah mama before. They voted rob with one be. It was just a mess i have. I have a co worker. Who spells his name that way and sasha. That's what that's what we call him. We call them raba. Maybe maybe not to his face. But i know he's not listening to this podcast so we're good okay. Back big name in on the cast lists made you pause and think to yourself wait. Who's that pick wine. There was a runaway. Fda was a runaway. Oh aaron stephanie. Tanya for sure on her yes. Okay quite alright. Then who is the most underrated player of the season. This was another run away. She and i think they said helen. And i'm saying jan in la thirty percents. James was the second. I hand shake. Was jake good. that's all. Jake showed his strategic prowess that one round where they look like. They weren't going to get rid of him. And then they said like jake is telling stories trying to make us think that. He's a man of jacob his roy rogers stories. Jake confessional was literally like. I'm telling these stories hoping to get me somewhere. Gig madame teller telling some story about shooting an animal with a bow and arrow and you. What was this. Okay kirk recipes. Oh when i get home. I'm going to try this odd right here. Folks you heard it here. I did like big story though where he's like. Okay listen so our parachuted into the airport past hank past like a traffic skewed boom. I hit the ground break. Both my ankles break. Both my knees. And i was like take. Meanwhile the rest of the cast is not. And i'm at home like okay. Go back to the point where you broke both knees or exactly stretching the earth a little bit i also like jaquith sheyanne rate. You built all right. Yeah and if they're talking about you think wow they really wanna talk about me yes. That's exactly the type of confidence if they're talking about you boy. They must really like you. You hear that comment section. But in j. Also when nobody else was right like like i pose her to even says in his confessional. Listen i don't know why they don't like she and it's probably something personal that they got going on within themselves and like i. I can't but i'm not going to treat this person any differently. So so jake underrated. It was another a runaway. For the kelly wentworth award for best pre merge. Boot robert sheyanne day was almost emerge with almost verge..

"Jessica lease asked us in addition to personally screwing sheyanne did production blow their only opportunity for there to be any interesting game twiss where they merged the tribes and was she and asked back in part because they felt bad about this To address the second. Part of this i i. I don't think that They invited sheyanne on survivor. All stars as an apology or what happened with fake merge. I think they did it because they loved what they got out of her for. They're like oh maybe like like who knows like What she could do in another season they loved. What how it's orient. What is it orientals them anyway. I can't pronounce it right like. Oh maybe she'll eat another chicken neck or hoping for that worrying to make a big big move. Yeah yeah yeah. So i should point they look at she and somebody who's like almost like radic or something right like we don't know she's going to eat a chicken necks. He might see my jumped emerge who knows right and i think that's i. I was horrible but never mind. I was gonna ask another question. But i'll leave that alone as later but you know i think i think for an apology note. There's a better way that you can apologize. Somebody but yeah. If you'd up the cast and people that actually mattered in the cast. That you like. They're like did you want to come back and you need a person. Maybe a person of color. Maybe you want to be inclusive. This time then yes she ends number one with a bullet in that realm maybe rob with two bs. But if they're looking for a woman. Maybe maybe helen right options. It's not like jan sure was electric. You know like what are you going to do. So don't i don't think it was an apology. I think it's also the moment rate like it was who got out because of this fake merge like and then i think that also occur. Stock a lot there. They put so much into that. Twist into work in quotation marks. And so of course because it worked. They're like oh. This is the person with the twice because aside from the twist and the gandhi think what is memorable from this season that you just think of off the top right you say. Brian was robotic and sociopath. But that's not a moment. I mean she had a moment. Like sasha say should a moment okay. We got a lot of different versions. Of what if. Helen went on survivor all stars instead of she. But i like this better from zack. from dallas. how different fiber history of helen gets amber spot on survivor. All stars what have we leave sheyanne. And then helen comes in. I don't wanna say necessarily amber boy. You know i feel like And i always felt like amber and gentle lewis. I felt like it was basically the same casting type of person that you brought back. And general louis ended up playing a lot more like mean-spirited and cutthroat a second time around. What if you brought hell and back and helen played survivor. All stars you in no. I don't think so..

So all right so boston rob voting for alicia and that was a bit of a blindside because back to that episode. I believe this is the final seven and there is like the basically the alliance of six the shapira six and sheyanne is the personnel back to back or sorry a sheyanne talk or two out of three in a row where she and was in the mix and she wins immunity and so now somebody from that group has to has to go home so really was sort of like the last one in first one out thing. We're boston rob had made so many deals with people that he's like i just got to. I'll cast that alicia here. She's the last person. I made a deal away at then. So that crafts his confessional here where he says goodbye to her and essentially five different languages. Okay all right so a alternate universe. Though where i make it through that tribal council. This is where. I get voted out in that season. Okay kind of good to give you the same language. I don't know but she never. They never vote again. They never vote. Vote anybody off again. Until so if i made it through one more night like i'm probably around for a while just because unless they just get on everybody's nerves so much that they've like i'm like the merge vote or something like that but i mean.
