Officials urge evacuation near derailment, fearing explosion
"Officials are calling for additional evacuations near the wreckage of a train derailment in northeastern Ohio. The Ohio governor's office issued a statement and sheriff's deputies went door to door in east Palestine Sunday, warning hundreds of residents remaining within a one mile radius of a train that derailed and caught fire Friday to evacuate. Officials said that one of the railcars was at risk of a catastrophic failure with concerns about a potential explosion and shrapnel. Responders were monitoring by keeping their distance from the fire, but early on, residents like Elizabeth sherry captured the sound of thundering pops and the bellows of smoke lit orange by the fire below. Federal investigators say a mechanical issue with a railcar axle caused the crash about 50 cars were off the track and about ten of those that derailed were carrying hazardous materials, including vinyl chloride. Brant Hanson Discusses His New Book 'Unoffendable'
"I get to talk to someone that I know on a subject that I consider important. His name is Brant Hanson. The book is unoffending how just one change can make all of life better, Brandt, Hanson, welcome back. Thank you. Thank you, Eric metaxas. It's good to be back. Okay, just to cut to the chase. Now, look, you're a nationally syndicated radio host. And you do something called a podcast called the Brandt and sherry odd cast. Sherry is your wife? No, she's my producer. You produce. Your wife know about this. Does your wife know about this podcast? And you're also work with cure international, but okay, we've met and we like to joke around. But this is a really serious subject. Your book is called able. It has sold a zillion copies, this is the revised and updated version, asks the question, well, you tell me, 'cause I can read it. The crazy question. Look, well, the crazy, is it possible to live a life where you're putting off anger where you're not angry all the time. Okay, so on the back of the book it says, here's a crazy question. What if we decided not to be offended? So what do we mean? What do you mean by that? The book is titled an offender, so obviously that's what you deal with. But what does that mean not to be offended not to be angry all the time? I'm talking about giving up your right to offense, giving up your right to anger, anger is a fight or flight response. That's what it's supposed to be. So all these physiological things happen to us, we're not supposed to live there, though. It kills us. It's terrible for its physically spiritually everything, but we've made it into an art form where we think we're supposed to be angry all the time about everything. And there's no shortage of things to be angry about. Legitimate things. There's no short and there never will be a shortage. Actually, that's very important to say. There is no shortage of things to be angry about. The level of injustice in the world, the evil in the world, the question is, how do we deal with that? And the bigger question would be, I would ask, how does God want me to deal with it?

This North Carolina Senate Race Is Closer Than You Can Imagine
"Moving down the my app a little bit. North Carolina. This has become the one and I think I've said it here on the podcast. I've definitely said it in radio show and other news that North Carolina from me was and I said this back in July and August. I said, when the polling starts to come in and this Beasley bug rice down in North Carolina, it's going to be far closer than anybody imagines. It's going to be very close. And it's going to be definitely the margin of era and people are going to fly under the radar and people are going to say, oh my, what's happening? Well, that's exactly what's happening right now. This race in North Carolina is bud is up by one little over one, most of the Poland have had this thing trending three to one to a tie here over the last month. Basically, sherry Beasley actually, this is one thing I wanted to emphasize. She just announced her fundraising total of 13.3 million. That's number four in the country of these other Senate races that I've been talking about. That's a lot of money in North Carolina media markets. It's a lot of money to make up, bud, has raised money, but not to that level. Again, folks, this is a flippable seat for Democrats if they're wanting to flip this, but ran a solid campaign throughout this cycle. He's been a little quiet. He's not, it's not been a flashy race by any means. They have just had their, I think, one and only debate. This one is going to be a time which Republicans have got to come out. It is also another race in which Republicans struggled to hand to deal with a primary, which again, that's part of life, that's part of what should be an electoral politics, not upset that there was a primary, but you had folks who like Mark walker and others who, you know, now their people have to get behind Ted, bud or cherry Beasley, will hold our oil part of the possibility of flipping this seat.

Charlie Welcomes Congressman Ted Budd, Senate Candidate for NC
"I love North Carolina, it's one of the nicest states in the entire country. North Carolina, the tar heel state, has some phenomenal people, and we have with us right now, someone who is running to become the next senator from North Carolina and not allow a Democrat to win. Ted Budd is with us. Ted, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Charlie, it's great to be with you and I first met you in North Carolina. Back when Nancy Pelosi put me on her list of 33 members of Congress, Republicans to eliminate back in 2018, member of the top year for Republicans and Don Junior, U came into Davidson county, right there in the middle of North Carolina and campaigned for me and really appreciate that. I remember that very well. So tell us about your race and I mean, North Carolina is experiencing a lot of the same sort of issues, the country is experiencing rising crime, inflation, talk about some of the top issues that you're running in campaigning on that are affecting North Carolina voters. You know, historically, you've seen somebody have to change from the primary over to the general, but you don't really have to do that in this race because the issues are still the same. And it's two main issues. One of the things that I did among all the Democrats that were running really who just consolidated around sherry Beasley. And we had a big primary that we had to navigate through on the Republican side. But we went to all 100 counties far west in the mountains, the corners and the east of North Carolina and talked to folks all across the spectrum in the two issues, Charlie, that keep coming up. One is inflation. I mean, even today, we're seeing new inflation numbers and yet have increased again. It's now 9.1% over the prior 12 months. And we're coming into next month where parents are preparing for back to school. They're going to have to decide they're going to put groceries on their table or are they going to buy new clothes and new backpack for their kids going to school? So these are real decisions that are affecting folks. Construction businesses trying to keep the doors open with the rise of the material cost. And then the other issue we're seeing, it has to do with crime. And a lot of that crime Charlie starts at the border because what sheriffs in North Carolina are telling me is every single county is now a border county because of Joe Biden's open border

And then he said, that man has to go, we have to get rid of Putin. All of those had to be pulled back had to be deleted, had to be winding out by The White House. And then, as a man who served this nation in the uniforms of two different services, can you explain why it's so important that whether you're a second lieutenant or the president, you don't eat before the troops have eaten, and he did that. Tell us a little bit about your background. Are you guys getting paid right now? I went on unpaid leave a week ago on Friday. I'm a pilot for United Airlines. I was hired in continental airlines in 1998, so I've been here 23 and a half years. We've spent many years out in the island of Guam for Micronesia and three years ago, just before the pandemic, we moved from Guam to the great state of Arizona, and I'm on a fly 7 87 out of San Francisco. Pandemic came down the pipe and we pressed on. We are the front lines that we're willing to do whatever it took. What we are team of many, many people, and I'm just representing I'm a voice representing thousands who I wish also could have this opportunity to speak. But we work through this thing. And with a really can do cooperative spirit of let's get through this because I was also a pilot during 9 11. I remember that vividly. We worked through that. And then suddenly, on the back side of this, here comes this vaccine mandate. And those of us who pressed on and made the wheels turn airplanes fly, the people who were able to fly for point a to we were there to get them there. And all of a sudden, Scott Kirby says, we're not safe anymore. You're done. So as of last Friday, I've been placed on unpaid leave, and they've basically cut my cord. I have no insurance, no benefits. I can't retire. I have no access to anything. They have shut me down and to make it worse. I can't pass travel. I can't even jump seat on other airline jump seats. So I'm scrambling right now to see what I'm going to do with insurance. I have three boys, 12, 16 and
