"You mentioned judges and you had said that at the beginning just you know that i had some women from johnson their name we can start. We can start their one of. Yeah one of the gals. We did not know her name and so she did something. Incredibly powerful should would have been great if we knew her name. Yes could we go. Why didn't we know her name. Yes but regardless. It was well and it could be construed that way or who knows but what she did was. She saved an entire town. She saved a whole village and that was in there. That was in the bible. It didn't have to be in there. They could have completely left that out. But she pushed a huge here huge boulder out of a window and it went crashing down and killed the king and everybody else went running and all of his army that he had brought to destroy the city. Were they ran in fear because She killed him. So that's what you did you. You had to be killed. I mean they were all going to be kill. Did y'all we give her the strength to push this giant boulder. I don't know but that's because it's you're telling me it's huge. Yeah i just go to kind of door if i go to land before time when everybody's trying to push the bowl off and kill the giant t. Rex at the end. You know. yeah yeah yeah. Yeah for sure but there was a lot of people helping. This is just one moment. I i find the kind of oh. There's nobody else helping they all. Yeah just one woman push that and she was in the widow on purpose because that that they had in the window because that was a defense thing in case somebody was coming. Everybody was too scared to think about. It was all the townspeople truth and so she was up there and she pushed it. Yeah it was phony story. I love these things. It's random stories in the bible like that. There's so much fun. Deborah was a prophet who heard the lord and she also was a judge and that was basically somebody who's led all of israel so she was in charge and people could they would come to her direction and for leadership and guidance and and so she ended up the the man. The who was in charge of their army was too afraid to go into battle to fight these this wicked Barack was going to be coming to kill them all and he was terrified. He's like we're gonna lose..

"Some of them have Have made bad choices on. And there's lots of different things that happened with the different women in the bible but there's also a ton of women who did Just awesome awesome things awesome. We'll get into that two seconds. Let me just finish with the relationship partner. Yeah it's far. As i see if i'm going to have a relationship with somebody i'm gonna be able to communicate with them back and forth and know that it's them communicating with me. I can hear their voice. I know their name. I know their face. All of this stuff. I just don't understand how you can call to relationship when it's none of that. Yeah and i disagree. I mean i guess. I feel like i know that it's a relationship. It's the most personal relationship. How can it be the most personal relationship. If you've never seen them heard them met them physically. I mean how does that work so weird to me. I'm sorry no. I get why it would be strange to you but it is meant for everybody in. It isn't the only for some and so it you know. I believe that god could do that for you. And then you would understand what i'm saying because it's powerful. I was raised in the church and he never did it for me. I asked i called i cried. I beg dreams never showed up and so weird. Just ask them be sincere in asking the question. He'll tell you and guess what i'm sorry. He's ever said anything to me or you. So you're telling me he's never said anything to me physically. You told me he spoke to well. He speaks to my heart. I mean different seat. No so you wanted an audible thing you putting in a box. You were saying asked to speak where. I would like to hear him. No kid when you were a kid. All which like what okay. So i was raised. Holy roller lay on the hands..

"Yeah they asked father son and the holy spirit. That's three hundred. It's hard to explain or understand fully now. There are three separate persons but there three in one. It's it's hard. It's hard for sure. I've heard explaining a lotta different ways. None of out in another question having like this. I do not get this right. So we'll get all that and there's all these things you you mentioned the the the trinity there. There's unforgivable sins when it comes to the trinity you can make fun of jesus all you want but as soon as you make fun of you always ghost the holy ghost. It's unforgivable. you can't forgive you. You're going to hell regardless. I i don't so the sacrifice of jesus was pointless even if that there's so much to just doesn't make sense. Yeah i think the hard thing is to it's and and this is something that i ask you know. What do you struggle with. With the bible and i think it's hard because there are different translations. I think the general gist is the we. It's about the same. But when we kind of dissect it into specific statements it really is helpful to know what is the original language. That was used hebrew. Greek all of that depending on the older the new testament. How do we. How do we know fully the context in not just. The context like in terms of The environment in the circumstances bam but the words were much richness in every word. That one word in you know in in greek or in especially hebrew Can mean like five different things. six ten. You know different things in english and so it's hard to fully portray what something means show know but we do translate it and so the hardest. Yeah we try our hardest. And but i think that i think a lotta times will will work itself out when you read the original such as the virgin birth when we read that it just means young woman. They've changed it to mean virgin so at that point. It's not really that miraculous story so there's a lot of things in there. We definitely not. That's not something that any of my Either well first thing that i would have heard in my religion classes. Let me tell you that it would have been. Because they were doing everything they could to disprove every last thing and they would throw that out there like crazy and that was not here to tell you. They didn't do a good enough job. Let me let me get you. Sick lasts a matter of fact. Let me let me give me their number now. But i'm telling you is definitely the the word virgin is is young woman. It's definitely switched around in their check. It out it's a very interesting thing is synonymous with virgin. I mean at that that is synonymous the could mean version. Yeah but it doesn't but it says that she was and she did not have sex with a man. It says that she didn't have it. Catch it different. Look into it died for sure. So we're going to cut into the in here. I'm sorry blacks. I just want to get into why you believe what you believe. What is it exactly that you said you were born lutheran or grew up luther correct so you from birth. You were into your believing in y'all way himself so throughout your life because of him revealing himself to me. And i got to know him personally. That was a large part of it personally. Now as far as personally goes to communicate with him. Do you have conversations with him as as like for my wife. We have a personal relationship. I can talk to her. She can talk to me. She can throw things at me back and forth..

"Will i take this as a as a relationship right. You take it as a relationship with y'all you've got this relationship with mgm in person. Whoever you this relationship with them if i had a relationship with somebody who stated four different times that their name is jealous. They're punishing children out of jealousy and then we got the flawed at the passover. We've got all these different. Jose nine all these different. There's not just one or two. Oh loaded with your children. While there's a lot more loaded of hand sharing his love and saying i love you with an everlasting love. And he loves us like a mother wrapping her arms around us with their wings and protection. And there's a whole lot more of that than there in. What i see is an abusive relationship with the point. We're ignoring the bad. We're ignoring the horrible horrific things. Yes person has done. We're just focusing on the good stuff. If i knew somebody that drown children out of out of anger or regret or anything. I would not be telling you. That person is a good person. No one hundred percent. Yeah when he always does the differences that we we aren't it isn't i. Don't see him that way. And even if you're reading these specific things. I think there's other underlying things there that if you're not understanding the whole context of it then we can give the love. Show me the love. Which which part do you find the most loving of all. Oh my gosh through hobo bible. What is the most loving part of this book. Well okay if you have to choose the most loving. It is the fact that god sent his one and only son to die for us. That is the greatest love because he died for us. But if you wanna go back. I wanna tell you about person after person after person after person that experienced the lord's love incredible ways and that's not what we're talking about something that i think a lot of people haven't haven't necessarily heard of i you know. I have a religion degree from university. That did not do not believe that the bible was The infallible word of god. They did not and so. I'd being classes. That's what i learned. I mean i i. It's not what i believed. But it's what i learned. Because i to hear the other perspectives and i wanted to be challenged and i didn't like there are people that would be like raised their hand be like the bible says will nobody would listen to them and so i learned a lot about okay like how do we let me help me understand..

"Physically showing up and doing things Causing battles to go a certain way Nicely know what's crazy good. Can i just sorry. I didn't the thing that's interesting about that. As we know it was god stepping in and doing this miraculous things. Because it's what it's written in the bible but like in today in our world we don't have it written and then god you know did this for lauren. But that's what happened. You know like we don't have somebody telling us that's what it was. But that's exactly what happened. How do you know what's not. You always stepping in and punishing. I'm sorry again. I don't mean the offense by all of this But in in exodus twenty verse. Five x thirty four verse seven deuteronomy five verse nine an extra thirty four fourteen. I the lord your ghanem a jealous. God punishing children for the sins of their parents. Now what this tells me. Is you always going to punish you me. And my kids their kids and their kids for the sins of the parents so when he when you have bad things happen to you. How do you distinguish whether it's it's y'all whe or satan coming in and actually doing it. Yeah well because god is a loving. God he is in outdoor is what i have experienced in. That is what i know. So when i do know is in that scripture with that from what i have learned is is demonic -ly that the enemy has rights to come in through family lines who gave him the rights he got. I don't know how that works. Y'all we have to let him have. That's where we go. I don't understand but indiana enemy loses. Well he and the enemy god for that well to be defeated and under into the world leader on generations later. He's going to stop him but people want that people are wanting the the people are wanting that that is the sad part is a lot of the world. That's what they want you know..

"And i can tell you that and this is a sensitive thing to share. So i would say. Let's be a little bit cautious. How we go through it. But for me when i was when i was little i was. I was abused. Sorry and i was abused by satanic people that were involved in witchcraft and they would take myself and my twin sister and they would take us to these parties where there was horrible things happening amid things that we saw and things that we encountered were horrific so to me i the enemy they basically said call on god does he comes through no he doesn't Our god is greater so they were talking about satan. They were calling him into you. Know whatever okay so So to me from the time. I was little not as what i saw. A lot of people don't think that happens. While i can i tell you And so for me at the same time as that was happening i was also having dreams from jesus telling me that i his and it was never a Like a mean like you belong to me. No it was like a. I love you. You are mine. And i'm going to take with the enemy intended for evil too literally. Destroy me and potentially kill me. Because that's what they said. They were gonna do that. They would kill me. If i said anything or kill people that i loved and so i could either do that. I could either You know basically he was saying i have called you to be mine and i want you to know that so at at at the same time that i was encountering the other he was encountering me too and i you don't make that stuff up for at four and five years old. The dreams that i had were so real so powerful and i didn't watch crazy movies. I just never. I was raised lutheran weren't raised to talk about this stuff. You don't encounter. jesus. This was not normal. My parents didn't understand But i just knew knew that. I knew that it was that it was real and so not that did continue Where the ward Began to bring that stuff up for me in my life and helped heal my heart through that. And the only reason that.

"Incredibly empowering interesting interesting so it's definitely the speaking in church problems the first sip timothy two eleven in i corinthians there would be your would be your main right gotcha right. Yeah yeah over the years. That is absolutely been and then i would say the other ones that you brought up as well i mean the concubine being raped and cut up into pieces and i mean it's incredibly graphic and horrible. I mean this this poor woman in most of the time when you realize that You know concubines or And this isn't in the same category but like prostitutes and people in the bible. They are they the la times. This was another choice not their choice to do that. They were forced into that. And it's basically sex trafficking in many ways and so a lot of questions. I don't understand this. This doesn't make sense right in the all. Never steps in and says don't sell your daughter into this thing you always steps in and says how to sell your daughter exodus. Twenty one seven if a man sells his daughters and serve is not to go free as man servants. Do he gives rules about. How one's daughter. That mean there's my there's my i love it. Oh idea where that it's so like how can you take a loving god. Who wants the best for you. Who has this this plan. That knows the future. Tell people in a book that he says is good that you're supposed to be useful for preaching teaching correcting and training and righteousness says. Hey your daughter if you sell her if you decide to. She can't go free as manservant. Because you know that's my rule. Wow how horrible is that. I don't get it. But i will tell you you know for me. God is is you know. I learn about him in his heart through the bible but i also learn about him in his heart through my own personal experiences. And that's really what we have. That's what we have to live by like. You probably make choices in your life based on your own personal experiences. And i make em in my life based on mine and for me. I have watched him come through for me hyme and time and time again. I think a lot of times when people think. Oh you're a pastor or whatever like they may be thank you had it easy live And when people know my story they know this is absolutely the opposite And so i. I felt like i really truly did encounter god from the time that i was little and so i have gotten to know him and his love and it's absolutely life changing hundred percent. Thank you for that. I appreciate that but tons of questions that came with that. Oh sure here. In question asker. That's a good thing so when when it comes to your you said y'all came through for.

"These are all horrible horrible stories that are in this good book so terrible stories. Hard is this. I don't even have donner. Did you read these kinds of things to your daughter is supposed to be the good book. The word of god do we read these things to our kids. Well not yet filter the bible. Yes when they're young absolutely because it is graphic and not depends on. How your parenting style. But for me. I definitely Even on the normal. We don't watch things on television or things like that. That are going to be graphic stereo input in things in their mind even if you can kind of explain well. This is why this happened. And this e- even on a movie you can say. Oh this is why this is happening. But it's still scary. So yeah i mean my. My son is nine years old. We're not gonna sit and read those stories and when my daughter was seven. We absolutely wouldn't but she does have a bible in her room and she absolutely could read so she has access to this story percent hundred percent. Yeah but you wouldn't show where you're going to let her find out on her own. Oh that's something that things like that have come up that where we talk about it when it comes up but those are not the those are the primary Stories that that. Come to mind when i'm talking with my daughter about things so not the things that just come up in my mind right away to talk with her about but that absolutely not. Yeah right right. I mean so. Yeah i mean we. We have had to have hard conversations about things night. Where i i don't know i don't know why this you know and i think that's okay to say i don't know i love on favorite answer russia because i will. I will never understand some of those things. Until i get in front of jesus and i can say i don't get it. Why on earth what in. I know that he'll say something to help me understand that when it's the right time but now i have no idea so while we're on the subject what is there. Is there anything in the bible that you yourself have an issue with and what is it. That's a really good question. I have to think for a moment. sometimes i'm not the best on the spot. I know that. I have wrestled with The you know the issue of women speaking in church in preaching because that's something that Comes up in many denominations where you have women who don't feel empowered and then you have other churches that that do say. Hey it's it's okay. And so i've had to do a lot of the reading on into go. Okay god what. What are you saying about this what what is going on. Why doesn't say these things in here. And what's the context and help me understand it wor and so that is something. I have wrestled wish and when so my husband and i we planted a church And so we came out of Another church basically when we were in the process of doing that and going with a specific denomination. That's basically kind of not national all. But you know it's anyway. It's called converge. We one of the things that i loved about them was that they empower women and they didn't just wanna hear my husband. Give a sermon to decide whether or not they felt like we were you know would be a good fit for church planting they they heard me as well and they wanted to hear me and they empowered me and that's one of the things that was really important so so that's something that i have definitely wrestled over But i have come to the conclusion that it is.

"I just have questions on it. Just very strange to me. We can jump back to the old testament a little bit here and now we both know. The old testament carries a lot of weight. Is i don't know where to go with that disgraceful disgusting horrible egocentric sexist things that are in there. Were don't understand. that's for sure will lots lot's wife. Let's go to the story of live familiar with the paso or not. Passover sorry that saddam damore story. Yes yeah so we got to angels that come down especially supposedly angels that. Go down and visit this house. Lot offers up his daughters to be essentially raped by an entire yes. His wife sits there and does nothing. Yeah says nothing. She says she doesn't even stop and go. Wow dude touch your kids. I how do not offer them up to be rape was wrong with you. She doesn't doesn't be that heroin. She's not the hero story. What happens at all. She looks back at destruction and god gets so mad that she looked at the destruction that he was causing. He turned her into a pillar of salt Yeah i don't think it's fair judgement all number one number two like i didn't get a name. We don't even know lots wife's name just lot's wife to not even important enough to get a name daughters known important enough to good name but you know important enough to be raped you know. Send them off at the end at the end and the thing is god never says that he agrees with that either over says it. That's a good thing. Log is a is called a righteous man in the new testament. The et doesn't mean choices. Just like i would. I mean anybody. There's good people who make really bad choices in the world and so obviously real bad that was like not. That's not even worthy of san real bad. That's just evil. That's going to write something that that you know stains your entire life at that point with that horrible horrible thing you did out of righteous man even like extreme here hitler you know of at the end of it he decided. I'm going to be a good person. I wouldn't call him a righteous man right the things. He's done in his life but doesn't have a problem with that. He's a righteous man regardless of those things he's done in his life and then at the end of the story what happens to launch daughters that they died as well they get their father drunk and by him. Yes quite gross stories in the bible. Yeah for sure on your graphic and then we can jump to judges which which does the same story essentially but with a different man who's got a concubine in the city and everybody comes in there all let's rape the the men that your visitor and he says now don't you such horrible things. Almost identical really daughters. No don't give your daughters away. Wiser be trying to get their daughters away. Anyway so he sends out the concubine the concubine gets oh it's horrible raped and massacred all night long. Who dies at the doorstep of.

"I just wanted everybody to be able to see themselves in the stories so dots how i started. My journey was actually self publishing and is published. Yeah just the old testament. That's all i did it i So there were nine stories. And i ended up selling a bunch of copies of bad and speaking at lots of gatherings and learning how to do that. It was all very uncomfortable and public. Speaking is usually and an enduring kobe. I just really felt like it was time for me to write the new testament women and it just felt like a really good time to do that and And so i did. And i found editor who connected me with an actual real deal. Publisher publisher in new york. And so she introduced us and they wanted us to put both the old and the new testament together into one book. So there you have it. That's only have so so with all the diversity you don't ascribe to the the white jesus is what you're saying. He didn't have any lies. No absolutely not accurate right. Not in any way shape or form accurate. You know always fun. Yeah so let's get back to that question your daughter s. It's a very good question. does i call them. Y'all wakes that's the name he gave himself of amongst other names and that's just one kind of picked up so y'all where he thinks that boys are more important than girls well. There are a couple of bible verses that tend to point to that not just the overwhelming amount of men that are in the bible majority of men but the. Let's go with leviticus twenty seven in leviticus twenty-seven y'all lays out a set of guidelines if you will For for the sale of people. Which i think is horrible right off the bat. Let's let's let's just say hey. Don't sell people know you always like this. His is how much we wanted to go for it. in that he's he he puts women lower monetarily than men. I think that's a very interesting thing for a guy that seems to keep everybody equally doesn't sound very equal to me right understandably. Yeah and i don't have that scripture right in front of me to be able to see the context of it but is that you know if that is the lord speaking or if that is something that was more laws that that human beings put into place. These were you always loss Okay we can. We can debate that later on alert for servant but these innovative casey setting up a bunch of laws. And there's just happens to be one of them. There are other laws in there that i find very questionable twelve later so as far as boys being more important than women or girls the next i would be i timothy. Two eleven and in that one he says that women.

The memo said the league tends to play all of its games within the scheduled eighteen week period and a nineteen week will not be at it. Who cares but if a game is cancelled. Here's where they're going to get him. If a game has cancelled and cannot be rescheduled neither teams players will be paid for the game now vaccinated players who tests positive for kovin. Help which is did you invent that term shero yes. We published the definition of unhelpful support. We call it unhelpful workplace. Social support or unhelpful. Help awesome eat so anyway. we're going to talk about. What is unhelpful. Help and why does it matter. We're going to talk about the emerging research on unhelpful. Help lead by one cheryl gray here on the episode and implications for people leaders and organizations. That's right so i think maybe. Just start off that first piece and discuss what unhelpful help is and why it matters but first off. I think it'd be fun to discuss. A little bit cheryl. How did you get into this area. How did this all evolved for you as a researcher. Yes so it actually all started when i was behind on a master's thesis so in my doctoral program were required to do some sort of big research project which we call a thesis to earn her master's degree and the first step is to come up with a topic that you're really passionate about and it was taking me quite some time to find that topic. That really spoke to me. And one day i was sitting in my lab and a colleague lockton who was an awesome super supportive colleague. And she says hey cheryl how are you. And i was honest and i said you know. I'm feeling a little discouraged today. Feeling down on myself. Because i'm behind on my master's thesis and she says cheryl i know you. You are so bright so hard working. I'm sure you're just being hard on yourself. How much have you gotten done. How many pages of your proposal do have written. And i pause. And i said well none and the conversation she says i knew but we both knew that in moment she just made me feel a lot worse

"Vaccine Passports" Spark Debate and Division

"Over the merits of vaccine passports is gathering steam as countries around the world debate how to kick start travel and public. Gatherings denmark became the first european country to introduce a form of vaccine certificates today while in the uk. Prime minister boris. Johnson has said that proof of vaccines will be required for major public events. The opposition labor party has opposed the idea calling them discriminatory but the parties. One time standard-bearer. Tony blair disagrees. I spoke to the former labor prime minister for monocle. Magazine's april issue a little of what he had to say on. The subject seems to be obvious that countries it for example owed up tourist industry other the tourists walk out whilst the disease status or the vaccination status of the people of about sharon with about shero restaurant. Wait i think this is inevitable. My point is if it is inevitable. Put in place a proper system now let a patchwork of different systems. Different processes validation gras topsy. Turvy because you just find a lot of complexity in a lot of confusion and you would also probably facilitate role at so you need proper validated systems. The best cities for the developed countries of the well to agree such a system between themselves or for example. We're working on a programming africa to allow a common travel costs between african countries. These things have to happen so my point is get ahead of the curb eight sensitive.

CBS says 'The Talk' staying off air after racism talk

"Says it will continue to muzzle the talk. The network says the daytime gap fest will stay off the air another week while he decides what to do about a discussion about racism that went sideways last week it started when co host Sharon Osborne tried to defend her friend, British TV host Piers Morgan, who has been a frequent and harsh critic of Meghan Markle, the former American actress Mary to Prince Harry Coho Shero. Underwood, asked for support of Morgan amounted to agreeing with some of his comments viewed by many as racist, angry. Osborne, using profanity that was bleeped said she felt persecuted because of her defense of Morgan Underwood, who like Marchal is black, tried to continue the conversation after a commercial break. When underwear got emotional, Osborne told her not to cry, because if anyone should be crying, it should be her. CBS says the show will return next Tuesday.

Couples Therapy And the Coronavirus with Certified Relationship Therapist Mary Kay Cacharo

"Let's bring in our special guests. Mary Kay could Shero. She's the certified Imago relationship therapist. She's been working with couples and families for over twenty five years. She utilizes encounter centered couples therapy for communication conflict resolution anxiety and depression. Her expertise is needed. More than ever these days. Welcome Mary Kay are you doing? Okay thank you bill. Thank you for inviting me onto the show You know it's not a merry go round. It's a roller coaster. And just like all the people I'm working with their good days and there are days that are more challenging than others so it would seem that there are different types of couples that we've got listening today. We've got new couples where they're together all the time for the first time and it's all good and we've got old couples. They're together now more than there used to being together and we've got the loving sexually active but together now all day and all night and all day all night and all day and all night. We've got couples that were already stressed. Pre pandemic in pre safer at home. Then we've got couples with kids and we've got couples that were kind of getting ready for divorces but they're together all the time and then we've got couples that are running out of things to talk about. So let's let's address the different couples for just a minute so the couples that are running out of things to talk about. Let's start there Mary. Kay How do we manage that kind of situation? Well first of all. It's clear that when we talk about couples we're talking about two people. There are couples. Who are trying to homeschool their children and to to to them and clean the house and Cook and all of this without the help of secretaries nannies and housekeepers and teachers so there's an awful lot of stress there also people who are unemployed who really have too much time on their hands and they really are feeling bored and lethargic and they're beginning to ruminate and worry and and sink into a bit of depression some seeing high anxiety in the couples that I'm working with and I'm also seeing some- slipping into some lethargy and depression for mothers and you know so much of what is going to happen. Between two people is contingent upon. What's happening in each of those individuals so depending on how strong the couple is like what you were saying if a couple already has some cracks bill and seeing those cracks widen a one of the things we know is that the divorce rates in the Asian countries. That are a little bit ahead of us in this journey had higher divorce rates. When I think about that I think it's really to the point of what you said. Which is that. These are probably couples where there was already Some discontent couples. That weren't getting along who don't communicate well and certainly being locked down together. Intensifies all fat. This is also maybe a life death experience so people suddenly start reassessing. What's important is that that kind of motivator or is it just a stress reaction that you're seeing. I think that when we are under existential threat as we are now that it accelerates our decision making kind of like when I have a couple. I'm working within. Somebody's diagnosed with cancer. You know suddenly it's the stakes are higher. People start to think if this is all I've got left. Is this the way I wanNA spend it now? In my world we see in the intensive care unit. How families as well as practitioners that this kind of stress tends to bring out the best as well as the worst in various individuals. Have you seen the same? With respect to the couple's absolutely I've been getting a lot of requests to help people to let go of the marriage in a very conscious way a less stressful way and conversely I've seen a lot of couples really grow closer because they're depending on each other their reprioritising. What's actually important? They're spending time with their children. Maybe for the first time or maybe for the first time in a long time. They're really hyper focused on family and that improves the relationship. Have you seen challenged couples because of the situation get together? I absolutely have. I've seen couples really let go of some of their petty differences in the face of this more important life threatening situation. You know when you talk about the fact that suddenly we have this existential threat that we're facing when you think about our lives things that seem to be so important day in and day out and you're saying that people now are sort of redefining. What's really important? What can you do in your couples therapy that can help people continue to focus on? What's important once? This pandemic is over. My fear is we're going to just go right back to our same superficial lives focusing on those things that are really important and yet I somehow think has terrible as this is that it's an opportunity globally for us to start learning and focusing on really what's important as human beings. Initially I think we experience this is acute stress. This was new. It was different. It was frightening. It required a lot of transitioning and now people are starting to say things like well. This isn't a sprint anymore. It's a marathon. Yeah this is going to last longer than we initially anticipated. And it's going to require and new normal. Do you find that. The external stress that's placed on us in some couples is bringing them together and other couples has exactly the opposite effect. It ends up being kind of transference sort of thing where you end up putting stress into the relationship. Where the actual stresses outside. Absolutely because I find that a lot of people aren't very fluent in there are articulation of. What's actually going on emotionally for them? This is not created in pandemic. Our adaptation to stress happens in our childhood but then we carry it into our adulthood. And most of the time we can manage and have a mature cortex. That's called our adult brain. The toddler brain is the reactive part of the brain where all in toddler brain more or less right now because the threat is so unusual. It's so different than anything we've experienced before so we're having to adjust and the thing that I am hopeful about back to what you had asked Steve about you know. Is it possible that we're going to actually use this? As an opportunity to change is that I think if couples manage the stress right now together they can begin to heal some of the dysfunctional adapt patterns that they have and they can really get through this

Hockey News Releases Its '100 People of Power'... Only 4 Were Women

"Look at the foibles PERV Curva lease and mistakes that are made in the hockey media like for example forgetting about all of the influential women on your influential people at hockey. The hockey news put out. It's annual People Power Influence in the hockey industry list. It has a hundred people on it. Ninety six of them were men a There was also a top fifteen media the head. One woman on it. That was Cassie Campbell Pascal. Who's also on the top one hundred list? There was a list of fifteen fifteen non NHL executives somehow. Danny Ryland didn't make that list despite being the Commissioner of the National Women's Hockey League Jayna Hefford also do not make the list it is. It's stunning to me. Like the women that made the top one hundred list were Campbell. Pascal Hillary Night Kim Davis of the NHL and and Hayley wickenheiser maids list. And you think about all of the people that could have made that cut. Here's one that absolutely absolutely stuns me. They have Terry PA- Gula at like number thirty. Something and Kim Gula who if you ask literally anybody buddy within the orbit of the Buffalo Sabres who runs the team. Why it's Kim Pula doesn't make the list you know? Alexandra mandrake you. Who've who've the Seattle franchise hired basically straight away to be their analytics? Group does not make the list. PARV underhill skating. Grew credited by so many people people in this league for improving there game does not make the list you'll to Grad of the NHL. In charge of concussion. Stuff does not make the list like I understand that the immediate default a fall argument is well when you went to quota. I just want you to expand your view beyond every you know dude. WHO's a CEO dude who's the GM dude who's an owner and just default setting to those people being on these lists? Because you know what. Guess what I was on this list. It's a nonsense list. You could literally put uh-huh anybody on this list if you wanted to but you chose to put four women on it out of hundred. That's crazy. Yeah you said you were shocked by Eh. I'm not I think this is a reflection of the views of women and women's hockey particularly. Because you mentioned you know Yes yes Danny Ryland should be on this list. Yes Jayna Hefford should be on this list there. The two women who essentially are figureheads guiding this really tricky landscape of women's professional hockey. Not Right now but this is just how we view women's hockey this. This is how it is. The institutional bias that comes from media comes from other areas. And look were you and I are both guilty of it as well. I don't cover women's hockey as well. They should've I. I'm sure you feel the same way. But the fact that they can't even be recognized like this shows the uphill battle that we have to yeah and the biggest the biggest failing for me. And when we're talking I'm really admit those that I cover it more much more from the perspective and from maybe the the personality perspective that I do the actual casual gameplay perspective on the meaning or as guilty as anybody of knocking the indicate shell a certain level of credibility if I just kind of you know covering it from a what does this mean for women's Women's hockey and here's an interesting player story kind of aspect versus which team is actually leading in the standings. That's that's that's obvious But again like like hundred people on your list and four there were women like there is ample and it's not even it's not even like you know should we force somebody on there to know. Oh there's people that are evidently qualified. You put Don Cherry on the list as a person power influence. He lost all his power and influence this year ear. Congratulations on the hockey

Is that the capitals now will not enough money to sign Hopi to a long term extension. They haven't talked yet and it's now the earliest Samsonov era but look good on Niklas backstrom. He's making the other guys like drew doughty. Who didn't get the best deal when he did it himself? Look kinda dumb and the caps got this guy for another five years. Look I understand what you're saying about Hopi. I completely understand that I get it. I get the capital's goaltending situation that said if he fires is agent and hires Nick Backstrom. I'm sure he'll get the deal that he's looking for with the capitals officials. Nick Backstrom is now the new Pat Brisson. This is the second career

Taylor Hall Trade Rumors: Devils 'Have Started to Listen' to Offers for Forward

"New Jersey General Manager Ray Shero per appeal. Brunt is listening to office on Taylor Hall This shouldn't be much of a surprise. The devils I believe second second to last in the NHL standings right now. Of course. alsi is unrestricted free. Agent to some. You've got to imagine he's going to get dealt at some point. What would you take on this brother? Yeah it makes it makes total sense for them to Kinda start doing this earlier because when you're looking at a return The longer the team's GonNa get to have him throughout the regular season the more you're going to be able to get back so you always wonder When people do have big time your face that they're gonNA lose at the end of the season? It's the day. The trade deadline line is the part of the worst deal. You're GONNA get Ideally you do it. The entire season before the draft. I have no idea if that was discussed. I'm guessing it wasn't because of the changes New Jersey made the guys is they brought in to think that they could ever a way better season hasn't turned out that way. So now you're thinking art halls given US indication I'm not saying he has or hasn't but as we've asked him. Are you any interest in resigning. He's kind of said. No if that is the case well we can't trust is going to be resigning here because if he really wanted to be here he probably be willing to do this now out to save the headache but instead he has every right to go test that you have a market for the first time and if you hear about a trade that goes down it will include much bigger I'm not bigger They'll be they'll be Stuff in in deal that if he re-signed with the team that they train them to they'll get even more so there'll be some incentives for that team to try to resign them or maybe not because they'll lose more in the trade but listen why. Why would this kid stay there right now devils fans you can hate me but what? He's in the private career he's he's been on one good team basically in so far as NHL career he's had an MVP season he should deserve the right to not only play wants. Wants to get paid pretty much what he wants to so. I think you'll see him out in the sooner is more likely to me the especially if they continue to lose. I think it'd be a good move for both parties because then the New Jersey you'll get your turn is going to you know if they're able to draft well in use them to gain more guys. I mean they're core or group is fairly young using. He shared top players up front. Yeah so they got a they got a good solid team moving forward so I I like the move in in halls. You'll get to go play where he wants. I'm just curious to know what the the ask will be. My assumption would be a first rounder. Depending on how good of a prospect acting. I'm assuming for hall. They're gonNA want somebody who who might be ready to jump in now like a bubble guy who they're like. This guy takes another jump in his game. This guy's is gonna be a solid. Nhl Or and then maybe even a late around draft pet like a fourth-round. So if I'm a team no go get him now so you you get the you get majority of the season with this guy. He kept me on track, and I will tell you that within Cobley three months of taking better care of myself, not only into business starts increase, but the kinds of people that were drawn to me were higher quality clients with projects in ideas and goals that were really interesting and exciting. And so the proof is in the pudding as far as I was concerned in it worked. And so that really played a pivotal role in my decision to make self care. Of focus of my work over time. And so it is really important. Sometimes the harder we work harder we are in our selves, the more we push ourselves, the less attractive we've become and I know you know this, Susan, I'm not talking about physical attraction. Really. I'm talking about energetically. People can smell exhaustion, or desperation or distraction mile away. When we take care of selves where more present for people, we have a better book writing experience.
