"Is you know if police agencies across this country would take advantage of state or national police accreditation. Okay that gives you a pathway and best practices of how to run a police agency but guess what in the entire state of minnesota that has over four hundred over four hundred place agencies. How many of them have a national police accreditation. I'm gonna guess less than ten zero zero. How many guns erno yes. How guess of the twelve agencies. I'm sorry of the twelve states in the nation that don't have accreditation Let me think what. One of them's name is minnesota. They have zero state accreditation. So if you don't have the right. Pathway you don't have the right systems and processes people do things the way they want to and i can tell you. Independent accreditation will fix these agencies. That otherwise are not behaving. It's what you know while they don't do it. It's a lot of money. It's a lot of money and they how to guess what pay attention. And i was talking to a lawyer friend of mine. Who's who's been in minneapolis life. And he was saying that's been just a police up. There generally been a problem for a long period of time. I didn't know about the accreditation. It seems silly that you wouldn't take full advantage of any and all programs that might make you a better police force well. That's that's the way. I think we have ten accreditations at this agency. Ten the not all police accreditation detention and support. But we have to state and the national accreditation. You guys are like the people that have the camera and then like the three letters with dots and then the comma. Then the three legs with the dots like sti certifications esquire. And that's a good thing. I guess i guess we share your sentiments. We hope that the republicans and democrats can put their stuff aside and just do what's right figure out how to get it and we'll be following your press conferences and we have huge favorite ask. Obviously you came on the show for an hour which is a favor enough but if you remember to And if it's something you'd be willing to anytime like this press conference you have today anytime. You have a mugshot of what we would consider a sick puppy us and you. Do you ever want to say like this. Is what the hard factor boys and i would call in sick puppy we would you know if it comes up your mind when you're gonna guess clip that at least do that. Also would you if you don't mind before you take off today. Could you just call a sick puppies right. Now it's as if we had committed a crime. Okay as look at you guys. Not only do. I think you're all sick puppies. I think you're sick three legged puppies. Oh share judd. Would we do this. Motley crue marks on. Yeah if you would make a whole we would make a whole community. The harto hives Davie said man this is what hard factor because sick puppy just throwing out there and then sheriff jed we're gonna come down to florida The harto high which is our fan base. So now is not a good idea now turned out that was pretty tough on businesses and good results that ocean breeze in most parts to that helps but yeah. We're ready to join it. We're ready to get. It'd be that we'll be in florida multiple times the next year and will definitely meet up with you if you if you accept so. Thank you so much for coming on the show. I would love to do that. Think of saint petersburg polk county where he say you have to go inland into the center of florida from the coast. Which was where we'll be but Yeah i mean you got things i was. I was awesome. "Had never been in trouble. We didn't have his dna from at all. He lawyered up and we go. How the heck are we going to catch us do what we did is we surveilled him. In one night he went to a restaurant and he had this fabulous meal he hadn't day. It was a nice day. Kaus and you know. He ate him enjoyed his meal and ordering a drink and drank out of a straw when he laughed. We went seized the forts of the straws. And everything and we gotta presumptive dna which gave us enough to get a search warrant for his body and then we went and resting on the murder charge. I call it you know operation last supper. Read your deputies back and told you that they got that. Did you look at them and say without abuse last meals. A free man. That was one expensive steak. He won't eat a state that good ever again because serve stake in the county jail. You don't know what we serve in the county jail. What these new well we serve. We serve meat instead of peanut butter and jelly. You can't get any peanut butter jelly. It's expensive what kind of me recognize of eaten by our food in jail is nutritious not necessarily delicious worst meals i had was in jail. We will you know you know how to correct that. Stay out of jail. I thought him good. What do you think makes a florida. Man what i think makes florida man. I think i think florida and every state in the union is shorter real man. I think a florida man is one. That's that he. He says what he believes and he believes what he says. And that he's a real man that he reaches out his hand for those. That are less fortunate. Those that need a hand up. Not a handout. I think he's one that pays attention to those. That don't have a voice. I think he's one. That has a good time. Get really you know. You never trust somebody you can't live with. I think one that that people wanna run to and the time of need instead of run away from. I think that's a real man and a real florida man so the first person you want to be around in zombie apocalypse yes s. Now's probably handy with a firearm which allows a real man or run to you a real. Manna say yes. Ma'am and open the door for a lady. A real man still respects that women are special people in our lives and That's real man we said cover. We strive to cover some feel good florida. Man's dory's every week as well because you know there's obviously all wayne jr scored a man starts to be clear. We love florida at the only reason we do the show every friday. Obviously there's a lot of goofy criminals there but we could do that with any state and we choose florida bahamas. We have family and a lot of good times in florida and sheriff joe speaking of goofy criminals. I want if you don't mind we play a little game with you. We are selected a random mugshot. We're going to go around the table. And we wanna know if your spidey senses if you can identify the petty crime that this individual Committed the crime did just a crime. We're gonna we're gonna we're on the table. We'll start with will then we'll enter one with me. We'll go around there okay. Okay oh that goal public masturbation K next oh. I'm sorry i'm gonna. I'm gonna go with Petty larceny in my opinion. Okay domestic violence k. Must've violence okay. Yeah beat up his boyfriend this here you can tell. He's looking at the camera going. What the heck am i doing here. I think it's dui do you. I could guess. What do you think. I mean i think i think it's a misunderstanding. Personally i think he's probably gonna get off if you look at them real hard. He looks he looks like he. No idea sorry. Look he has no idea. Why is there. What was the actual charge. It's me it's me share. Just kidding me. I wanted to test test on the drunk. I used to be used to be almost a year. Sober shift waltz relations. Thank you yeah. Speaking of other feel good stuff like west is year of sobriety under his belt. Can you tell us a little bit about your community. Organization jeep with judd. That's massive so so anyway. I had one of my deputies. Come to me you said. Hey i got an idea by this. Gp event and i go. Yeah is he said yeah. I think we can do it as a fundraiser. For charity and i go look. We don't need to have anything sponsored by the sheriff. that's got a bunch of drunks and mud holes and stuff like that. The no good comes out of that. He said you don't understand. This is really a family oriented event. Gp candlelight people who ride harleys. You know they have these huge clubs and and it's family oriented dell and so so we checked it out and we go okay. Let's try it Clear spring minds with gave us the property for free with in order to do this the first year we had like almost five hundred gps and sheriff this. This is the event where they climb. It's like to see who's cheap is the best performer for people that are cheap ing exactly the the last year we capped at two thousand jeep. Awhile when it's it's eighteen thousand acres and we use the vast majority of it and it's different trail rides so you can have everything from a ride through the woods to little hill to bigger heels. Do actually climbing structure so it's every level of jeep bill. You know what's interesting about that. Okay it's a compliment but you can't get that many best friends together without problems. Almost seven thousand people that showed up. You know how many we had to put out what that's great. That's good well. You got four best friend. Best friends on this show and we have more problems than that. We're putting one out of four so the end of the day. I mean you could bring your kids there. They can't they. They come from all over the united states. We we had said we kept it at two thousand jeeps this year in about six or seven. Maybe eight thousand people but it is so much fun and it's cheap. I think it's like a hundred bucks jeep or something like on a cheap but it's got a new car and you throw a little sheriff star on your jeep juicy. People new though there was no confusion. When you're on your show that i never had a jeep. Although until this happened. I thought well i have to go out and buy a jeep and i did and then they should have given you a jeep right. You know what there. There's ethics problems with the my second my first g my wife said i. i'm not gonna shift gears. Because she's the real boss you know so ball be and it was automatic and i thought it was really cool. We put we put a big kind of military star on it and it was totally awesome and it was automatic. Tough at the station. Come showing up an automatic cheap. Are you gotta you gotta admit that. That's tough showing up and seeing the boys and saying and it's it's an automatic. Yeah and then. That one wasn't good enough because she didn't think she could get enough of the grandkids in it. So i'ma third jeep l. k. So if if if you don't want to be addicted don't ever start it because it is really cool and a lot of lot and with this this year we raised after we paid the bills. Almost two hundred fifty thousand for our charity. Wow yeah and what is what is. Gp with judd give to notice. It was a charitable organization to the pope sheriff charities which is our five. Oh one c. Three and then we disperse it right back into the community for those. That are less fortunate that need help. Nice nice that's fantastic and sheriff. Thank you for going to dc. And we're gonna police reform bill. That's one thing that's been really erkin us on this show that it's been over year coming through on it so it's where you went up there to to help move it along. We hope that we can move it along quite frankly..

"I was a sergeant with the mother. I'm sorry with the sister. The guy who was elderly. Because i was a young sergeant so elderly could have been anything over fifty at the time gray hair and the yes and and the guy pulled a handgun and told them to leave so the deputy call for me. The deputy retired out of the military so he been to war before he told me he was actually older than i was more experienced retired marine said. Look i think this person is just mad. Just mad with a sister. I think you. And i can talk him down us in wall okay. That sounds cool to me. You i write for. We walk around the edge of his house and he set in on the front porch. Will you know what he put that pistol away but he got him a dadgum rifle. Spotted shoot laddis. Well i could hear the bullets. Flying past me and through the trees grew bro. She pep at that so we ran and the good news was he. Missed flow parameter set. And why we're waiting for swat. Will he continued to shoot at us. So this same. Deputy that i was telling you about the other story about the negotiator. He's coming to help set of parameters. And i'm telling him do not approach from the south cleaner with us lives up from the south and the guy starts shooting at him and you hear him the thinking the same guy you here. Hey let me make this stuff up. So anyway we got him out of the way for he got shot full of holes and then the swat team came and finally the guy came out of the house and charged at the swat team with a gun shooting at us and of course that was the end we we bought him for much. You could read a newspaper through cheese in that in that kind of a situation maybe The other officer was correct. At the time he was so mad he was just good to go out. No matter what what he determined he had reached age in a judge in life he was He was a veteran of of world. War two or the korean war. I can't remember which one and he had you know after we find out later. He shot his gun. A lot shot at people was control and he was not going to the hospital. He wasn't getting help. He was done and do suicide by cop. Unfortunately he thought it of wedding I'm glad he missed demystify. Cloudy miss to glad You mentioned you're elected which you are just anyone run against you at this point because it seems like a foolish well today you know. I say my prayers. I think the people polk county as well. I was just elected for the fifth term. The i share in one hundred sixty year. History to get elected for five terms and i was elected wishing gold six shooter or something very which was political year so if anyone was gonna draw opposition you would've thought it was last year so i'm grateful but i i work. I work hard every day. Know but the excitement of this is after all these years. I still wake up most mornings before. The alarm goes off to come to work to a christian community. You don't campaigned us. We'd vote for sure. But i think that's interesting. I feel like you're you're branded justice Transcends partisan right or partisanship. I young people just know that you're gonna take justice very seriously and you're going to execute that justice In a way that's fair and that's a that's exciting to me as a guy that loves justice. Not as much as you. You're passionate but man. Well you know. I i i meet with the democrats. I meet with republicans. Sometimes democrats disagree with me sometimes. Republicans disagree with me but none of them can disagree. That i don't always operate in their best interest. Because you know what we're all americans you know. We're all good people we. We've let this republican democrat way out of control and that's unfortunate all's people have a right to be. What do they want to be. And people have a right to have opinions. And you know just because your opinion doesn't coincide with my opinion doesn't mean we're supposed to put a hate on each other and the reality of it is there. There is no difference in a republican sheriff or democrat sheriff or an independent reshare for a nonpartisan share. If they're doing the job the right way it's just how they get elected and that varies across the nation. But i can tell you. I love all the people. I'm not mad at the crops. You know they you know they do. The wrong thing is just business when lock them up you know so at the end of the day. That's that's what. I think my success historically when you get elected sheriff the first time that's the pinnacle of you popularity and it starts to dwindle over time because after all your deputies are writing tickets arresting people reply being property and putting people out of their homes up. That's not popular thing. But what i'll have found is it's the way you do it and the way you're sensitive and if you have to put somebody out of their home on a quarter try to help them find another place. Compassion has to help but also the press conferences can't hurt helped the media the press conferences and social media helped. Because they see me they see my heart the true me. I like to cut up and laugh and have a good time. I wanna send a message that i'm here to protect you. I'm here to protect everybody. But i'm not putting up with any foolishness. I'm thinking all those to enforce the law. I swore an oath on a bible to uphold the constitution and the laws of the united states and florida. And the most people that end in your community obey the law. And they're the ones we're supposed to pay attention to. They're the ones you know we're supposed to protect and the criminals the thugs you know. They don't wanna go by the law the not jail for rape taxicab to the jail. Scott red blue light. Sola what you said about a couple of minutes ago about like the democrats republicans and stuff. We might clip that down. Because that's the whole point. Hard factor too is. We're not we're not partisan but went instead of cleaning cleaning up the streets. It's with dick jokes insulting people some similar hard factor in the whole county. Sheriff tried not to take it too seriously right in the morning right. Sheriff do you ever give a like they do in the movies. Like when there's a bad guy out there that like the your deputies to collar the ever like slam like an eighteen year old bottle of scotch on the table and be like first person the collar this guy gets this eighteen year. Bounty bounty system for national bounty system thought of that That that may give me a new idea. Usually why wilson guys we need this guy. Jail real betis dangerous. So y'all go home to you find it and usually you know That works because sometimes about two or three days and when they get sleepy they get more determined. Jimmy knapp sheer avendano. What's what's west. Got me thinking about the fugitive. The movie the fugitive great movie. Great movie and i'm thinking about. Is there like any kind of sick detective work. That comes to mind or really interesting clues. That may have solved a crime. When's the last time you arrested a one armed man. Yeah it was. What's the coolest investigation you guys ever went through over there. you know. There's a lot of cool investigations and a lot of them are tied to dna. Now right. which is the last cool. Yeah well the thing about it is. We had a murder that was years old. We knew who did it at the time but we absolutely could not prove it. Because we didn't have dna so years later we were able to submit and this has happened on several occasions. Dna and the labs were able to say. Hey here's the guy who who committed your cry so.

"You can't hold the community accountable. If you're not hold yourself accountable. A one hundred percent. You're hundred percent rate. I have a question that looks so you have this reputation. You do things like you said you do you when you go to the state police meetings or conventions as they're like a do people like not invite you to the parties and they're like oh shit here comes paul county there. Assist your you know To buy the book so to speak right. That's like saying hillsborough. Saint pete police pasco is over there being like whatever west at best. Do they think that you're the tim tebow of the locker room. Not in fact. What i find. Is those folks think like either. They're just not as outspoken about it. Is i am the policy industry by enlarge our hardworking dedicated men and women that do a really good job every day. It's just a few of these people that an aberration. I mean think about it you know. There's there's a few bad doctors and lawyers and you a few bad of everything but who ferrets them out. We do so. But i do. Coach these meetings and tell them lock. Don't let your union protect these bad cops. Don't let your your supervisor's not hold them fully accountable. So i coach with them. But really i give a great deal of respect and camaraderie from him because they are great folks to man. I wish she were. She would have been running the wuhan lab when the upper responsible in early timely fashion done the right thing. Sheriff is is there a movie or a cop hero that you grew up loving that you Levinas sheriff is cool man. That's universally known. Hey i'm the sheriff. Lawn order is under me. You walk with the different bit of swagger once you get that Win that election becomes sheriff. Put that sheriff badge on. Is there a movie or a character that you looked up to that. Who was andy griffiths. Oh nice yeah. oh yeah. That's not talk about community to andy griffith headed all. He had the respect of the community. Enforce the law. He looked at things for what they were not. What people wanted them to be and he did what was right. And of course. You know beside andy griffith i love gunsmoke matt. Dillon you know he would take care of business right now and if you ever watch i love the old. The old westerns but you watch gunsmoke. You watch any griffith you know. Many people try to bribe or take advantage of delon and he was always the rules. The rules and So you know in and use that as a training video you know. I think we're was really. I think it was moral and ethical messages set through that about rights right and wrong draw and we don't see that a lot anymore now. Do you have a jaylo barney. Fife can we make fun on your force that you think is kind of goof. None of my guys are every air force has whipping boy. Sheriff and it can be honest with. You can put the camera if you want. Quick won't work here anymore. It was one of those guys are under the jail. Okay one store five story. I'm taking you way back in the day. This long before i was a share i was a captain or a major and we had a guy who held his daughter hostage. It was domestic situation y king after the the daughter was about five or six years old and guy was draw. Pulled out a gun. Let them have him and so anyway. So it's into the night. I got a we got swat team. They're trying to get the baby out so as we we move up to the house as we're looking through the windows we can see the little girl moving around and we can see him on the couch asleep. Okay so the hostage. Negotiator calls a little girl to the window which was up because it was summertime and said hey and the little girl said yes. You'll wake you daddy up so we can talk to me like what are you thinking so. Fortunately i was close enough to hear that. I said no tell willful in compton. Thous body five. Wow trouble with her out. Deputy ford off the hostage negotiation team call. Oh great management move. Are there any other stories that come to mind. That are some of your favorites or the more interesting of your time. Overseeing poll kenny. You know when. I have been blessed to to be with sheriff's office really a very long time and got thousands of stories literally thousands of story. Some of them are hilarious. Some of them break your heart. But i guess you know to capture late. I just like knowing when. I wake up every day that i'm going to help somebody today. That otherwise wouldn't have helped that. I can be the voice for the voiceless. That i i have to remind my college look at across the state and and and the people in the community look. I'm not an appointed police chief. I'm not the government's representative to enforce the law. I'm the elected share. I end the people's representative to enforce the law. So i look out for everyone. I look and that's how i coach and teach. My deputies is look at everyone is an individual in every event as an individual. And i've been in everything in involved in everything in my career from shootouts to where you know they had us pinned down and was shooting at us with semiautomatic rifles to you know delivering babies to the whole judge. Sheriff please towns shootout story. Yeah please tell. You said semi tell us the semi automatic story. What does not well. This all started with a strong to serve a mental health paper lumber for hours share and and the the deputy went there..

"It to share. I'm elected because i'm sheriff. I'm elected so there are therefore i have to do the political thing but that's a necessity in order to serve the people i believe i'm a servant leader for the community. I'm the servant. I work for you and my folks. Do i have the best deputies in the entire world the best support staff they go out and work really hard. Put life on the line. That's that's all i wanna do. I'm living a dream every day. I mean i go to bed at night. You have trouble sleeping. You count sheep. I have trouble sleeping account prisoners going into the hawk. Speaking of the deputies and stuff are you hard to work for or are you like you gotta be in before me and you gotta leave after me or you like. Oh your daughter has a recital get out of here. oh no no no. I love my deputies wax. You when they're out here doing this very difficult job. They got to know that the boss has got their back. Now i m. I make them work like a rented meal but but whenever they need to be off for the recital or the softball game you know. We work schedules around. Because family's important and if you don't take care of the men and women that work with you and care for and love the family that they need to be within it doesn't work out but but we hard charge it work but we believe in family time. How do you not like a special bar. He has to go. When you're on charging now you know. I tell folks if if they need uncharged they need to go to. Somebody's house right if they partake in adult beverages uber. Cheap good call. Yeah because i it gets real ugly if they get in a vehicle after they'd been drinking and they drive and other deputies arrest them because they will them you know they have to go live someplace else to so. I'm pretty tough. You know we have to set the right example for the community and we covered. We had recently where you head Relieved some people their duty potentially even put them in jail over de evidence tampering. Yeah what was that about. Well we had we have over a thousand deputies and we had three of them that were that had this lady And i say that kindly because she was dealing drugs and took seven hundred. Twenty three dollars will it never showed up in evidence. Now i can tell you. I've been here. My entire adult life and one of the three of them took the money and the other two covered it up. I was hopping mad. Now i don't mean just a little bit so we did a complete and thorough investigation and found out that yes. That's right one. Took one took the money and the other two got scared. And we're going to help him out. Well of course the lady pleads down to misdemeanors and then she walks in the front door and says hey light had my money back and this is how professional this organization is anybody that files a complaint. In any way we check into it but she really wasn't complaints. You just wanted her money back and we got to looking and found out her. Money was never put you sheriff. So that's an interesting point because You know i feel like When you deal with criminals lot everyone's innocent right and and when you deal with crazy people. Everyone's saying so i'm curious is did you get a special sense like six cents from this woman because she was just saying. Hey i want my money back. You knew she was telling the truth because it's written down right or do they not only her word against the actually. They wrote that. They seized money. That's that's and then they took it well. Plus there was seven hundred dollars three people. There's three people involved with a bigger score than seven hundred dollars. That's well at the end of the day. When you've got a thousand deputies doing the right thing and you got three of them you know that doesn't bother me. I'm so some agents was would have just given her seven hundred dollars back and dealt with it internally. Okay not me. That's not the way it works. We example here so we not only locked all three of up. But i held a press conference and stopped around on them. Because we don't do that stuff. We lead from the front. And i was not going to let the three of them. Taint the thousand great deputies work hard and but if all agencies did that across the country we wouldn't be in this mess we got right. That's a good point. You're you're setting the tone. You're trying to set the tone for the team and say like hey we're going to run things the right way. I believe you got so angry at them or it was a press conference right around than that. We covered that. You said you were gonna throw them under the jail. Not even in the you were just gonna put them under the jail and what that means. Well you know that that means you're jail right. But the but i was hot hot about that but hey look you you know. This is one of these things that there are many agencies in this country that would tried to hide that gave the money just gave the money lady your money back or either three or out of the and said she was crazy you know. They wouldn't have given her a voice but you know even drug dealers get voices when they're right and and we just do things the right way here and but it works for us. It works for this agency around this nation when people were throwing rocks and bottles and all kinds of craziness in this county. Our folks were bringing us food into the district stations and put signs up front that they love the sheriff's office. Deputy would go in a restaurant to eat four days out of five. And i love that but i feel like you may be have had to have developed a keener i to to identify a crook because in most states in the union if you see someone with their shirt off right Under the wrong circumstances your antenna immediately go up right but in florida. It's the state of not rocking. Your shirt that's part of the culture down there. So how do you identify crook from just a good time having tourist when you're you're on patrol but one thing that makes all that easy is croat's only have about five brain cells And all of them are never working at the same time you toss him a puzzle saying when you look and you see them you know you know they're morons on method i call them and they're easy to spot and they just do dumb stuff they just dumb stuff. I mean they'll do stuff like still guns and then new cell fees and posted on social media the run-up down here you know it's share of. I'd like to challenge you. What's what's the point of stealing a gun. Yeah world on social media. You know well. Of course i've got this gun. I just got out of new york. I'm in florida vacation. You lebron probation. What can i say and to your credit to. Isn't polk county one of the larger counties in florida it's between like tampa and orlando correct Geographically we're thousand square miles right while populations little over seven hundred thousand and bait and were spread out. You know most people you know they bill from the city centre out ourselves building from the county line in and as a result. We've got huge developments. Spread all over the four corners of this two thousand square miles right. Crime can't escape the i. I'll be driving through a pasco county multiple times fourth of july week. So they've got family and hillsborough a married into hillsborough and pasco county and brother and sister-in-law in orange county. So i'll be back and forth through polk county. Well you'll be safest one you're in polk county because we sure if what is your and that's it that's very interesting. We noticed that polk counties is account. And we don't honestly cover that often unless we're talking about you and how how your administering your special and unique brand of justice but we love your press conferences. We think they're fantastic is era. What's what's the secret sauce. What's your recipe for justice. Would you say and how does that differ from others. Well i think it's following the law. I think it's wanting to keep the community safe. you know. there's not a week goes by. Somebody doesn't tell me that. Hey i moved from new york. I moved from from I guess new jersey connecticut is the one this week. They said we didn't know where we wanted to move. But we looked at the crime rate and we looked at who the sheriff wise. And we'd look at where we thought we'd be safe. And that's why we came to polk county and i think the magic to this as i tell people the truth i say what most people are thinking all the time hand. The reality is if you wanna be a thug in a crook you wanna do stupid stuff and get away with to portland oregon. They seem to like it out there. Speaking your press conferences. I wonder if criminals like ever like are like. Oh shit i got arrested grady judd. Because they get they get really insulted in these press conferences and rightfully so. Do you remember this guy. He's he's a large man to remember this guy he's Here's part of one of the operations. Do for child pornography bust. I think you've done many of them. I forget what it's called but A lot of the child porn guys off the streets here. So here's what's going to. We're gonna. I'm gonna play what you said about. He weighs in at a slim five hundred twenty pounds and he didn't fit in the cars but he does fit in the county jail and we will feed him. Well is f freestyle or broza budget. Or how's he doing. That can eat himself to death. I don't know i don't know where he is. You know when he asks from four chickens for lunch with all that was a little much he he. He's one of the what we call. You're sick puppies series. Sheriff can you get a sound buddy. You think puppies place 'cause lobbies sick puppies grow up. Be sick dogs the end up to be dogs in prison. You know what i'm saying. We is the we'd go after sexual predators online that are trying to attack our children. We go after those that are trying to victimize young ladies and make them victims of human trafficking. We go after drug dealers. We go after gang bangers in trying to shoot up you know kids in neighborhoods at our folks in polk county to like that. They like to know that. In fact i was. I was at an event last night where we're gonna do a press conference about it later on and some of the gang bangers one of the selfie women were at a crime scene. But i think. I'll take pictures with him to the opposite. They wanna get arrested in polk county. It's amazing to me that that i will have people in jail. Tell me. I want my picture away. Now they're inmates in my county jail and i'll tell them it's no problem. You behave when you get out of jail. Come in the front door the office and make an appointment and i'll get my pichu you and they do and i do you know about you know out. I'll give him a pitcher with with whoever wants. My speaking of that sheriff judd plans to run for any type of office besides sheriff in the future Given all this we're talking about. Everybody likes getting their picture. Taken with the and all that Do you have your eyes on any other offices. Well i thought about emperor of the world. Okay you on moscow's that right. He's he's going for it. But i don't have enough money to compete with alon must so nah The truth is i have been offered the opportunity to run for house of representatives to run for the senate. You know what people don't understand is what i really am as a street cop.

"But we had to identifier. So we surveilled her to north florida and had the highway patrol stopper so would be attached to the undercover operation. At the time when they when the highway patrol ran her it hit her probation in atlanta where she was still on federal probation. And what supposed to out of the state. I don't guess she could tell probation officer. Will it was a short trip. I was just delivered math at any went that then faster on math Figured out the mastermind the put all this together was serving a forty year stretch in the federal penitentiary and atlanta. He right brands of it. All we call him the mind. I wouldn't call him the masterminds you know really master of anything so it was the one that ended up connecting sort of like the people with connections to the cartels the drug cartels and then the locals right exactly. Wow a i mean you got a four year stretch for that. And then why isn't president. He just continued on with what he's been doing. Because there's i guess you could keep doing it from there. Oh yeah because somebody's not paying attention or phone. Privileges are probably going away for him. You know you would hope that's true but this age. I'm not sure about anything. yeah true. Good well that was a legendary bus operation. Dirty water was was was a big hit at work great work. How many five gallon buckets was that. Sheriff you know yes we something. I don't know a whole dadgum lot of the a lot of ground. I'm trying to think you know off the top of my head. I do so many of these about twelve or fourteen. Five gallon buckets tana meth. So that's a whole. That's a flatbed pickup through. It was a lot of math lot of math. So you know anytime you can. You can rip a cartel for fifty million dollars worth of drugs and put some bad deeds in jail to go with that. That's a pretty good deal Sheriff when you do you guys ever take like let's say you do a bust on with and you find cash. Do you ever tell you that. Cash like give elementary school or like i'd pizza for an old folks home or something like that or how does that work you know. Unfortunately the laws got it a little more complicated than that now but we can see drugs cash and we have to obviously go through a process with the courts and then when it's awarded to us it goes into a special fund and that fund can be used for other drug investigations. It can be used for specialized equipment it can be used for crime prevention and we use it for all all of the above. I remember growing on the car. I remember growing up. Yeah the police. In in our town had They had a sick tricked out camaro that that had been seized. You you guys ever sees like a cool car like what's that. Yeah what's the car auction and then you'd use it as a taunting mechanism. What's the sickest car you've ever seized. Y- you know we. We see really nice cars. I can't remember. There's been so many of them over the years most of most of the ones we seize repeal. Pos's but but every now and then you see back in the day. When when i was a street supervisor and a drunk supervisor we seized airplanes. That's when they were flying cocaine him from south america. Wow like the eighties right. Like miami and stuff oh. We were seized airplanes. Now that's really cool. Nice twin engines around here for a long time. She ever so go ahead was. I was gonna ask going back to the cartel one Has the cartel ever reached out to you You know anonymously and been like a sheriff kind of messing with our business here a little bit. What if we put you on the take or they just not mess with that and also second question. Have you ever received threats directly from these cartels that you're messing with their business. Well you know they. They've never reached out with with an attempted bribe. You know they do that. That would give me another opportunity to arrest itself. I'm waiting for that periodically. We all get threatened geno but we you know we put them in jail and like i said you know the worst thing you can do is threaten me. An old polk county boy right. Give me a gun. Because when i'm scared with a gun in my hand i'm dangerous. Well that's come to florida gets you. So that's your territory you know every now and then you get a threat but you know that account goes with the territory. Catch him have you ever done like worked with the mexican police to to bust the cartel at all wait. We work with the ea a. d. h. We don't work with mexican police because you don't know who you could trust most of them. You can't trust the ones that are honest. End up losing their heads. I mean lean these two main cartels are killing thousands of people over what we call the border. Wars thousands of people i saw. They killed their eighty eighth person. That was running for office in just this year. Eighty eight yeah. Politicians are getting murdered left. And right down well it. It eliminates the competition you know. Then they get the people in office. They want an office. They don't want honest people in office. That will fight against them. There is a huge corruption problem. Going on down there. There's a i mean literally. They ca- they. We were doing an operation three four five years ago and we had undercovers there With bad guys on on a drug deal when they cut the head off the police chief in the town where we were buying the illegal drugs and ready to make a case slow. We decided that that chief police can help us much. No oh yeah. No no. He can't but the beaches are nice. Yeah florida's resorts in florida and mexican beaches. A trip though. That's right but but speaking of that The nice beaches sheriff judd. Cover florida man stories. every friday. lots of action in the sunshine state every week. Do you think that's an effective. Just the weather being so nice. That people have More opportunity to cook up something newsworthy. Or what what. What's going on down in florida. That keeps keeps it so active. Keeps you busy. Yeah well first off unlike many places in the union florida not only is it a tourist destination around. But it's one of it is with probably without a doubt the safest place in the union. 'cause we don't put up with no crap. Dan certainly polk county. I know i know i feeling safe. There we'd lock people up because we know when people want to come to florida to hang out on the beach to go to disney universal cr great theme parks. They want to be safe and they are safe. We're remarkably say but to do that. You've got the hammer down on crooks will crooks also the light the sunny south as well where it's where it's beautiful you know but i'll tell them right up front. Listen you come down here..

"The special greatest jet interview. They're taking care of the babies but you're about to hear what full hour will full our full. Our great john. He does not disappoint. He's a quote machine interesting fellow he basically was It was like a live press conference just for us. Great job press conference and it was awesome. Yeah so i guess without further do. Here's the grady judd interview. Welcome to the show legendary florida. Sheriff from polk. County grady judd. Thank you sheriff judd for joining us today. We really appreciate you taking the time. Well certainly my honor to be with you today. How are you all doing very great. Pretty get better now have share very very excited. We told you a little bit before we started rolling here but this show has been running for about three years. We've been covering a florida man news every single friday during that time. Needless to say our audience is seen and heard a lot of your work From that time period and for the folks at home Grady judd has worked his way up to this position of sheriff polk county after joining the sheriff's office in nineteen seventy two as their youngest employees of all time if wikipedia is telling the truth. Is that true. sheriff. Yes i was four years old at. That's when you got your first caller. Yes well that's i mean it's impressive talk about florida men and you know all all ranges of florida men on on every friday show and you have you were born in florida. Join the sheriff's office that long ago and the now work your way up to sheriff i mean you. You're you are like the florida man really on. I can't think of many others top that. What's next because we allowed to talk about what you were doing last weekend. Well i i you know i like it when people say nice things about me she on your head were you a dc last week Last week i was in dc. I am the past president of major county sheriff's of america. And we're working on this police reform package we sheriff bob gualtieri and i worked with house speaker sprouse and the to create a state system and now we were there last week meeting with three of our. Us senators. senator troy scott and senator booker. And also lindsey graham senator lindsey graham giving our input because the house version of this police reform was just some rid really crazy off the wall stuff. That's not acceptable Most people i would say ninety nine point nine percent of the cops and certainly not the senate so the is working on the versions because every one agrees that some police agencies in this nation the police before some police agencies are on the cutting edge but unfortunately the media has taken individual bad events or individual bad agencies that don't follow practices best practices and extrapolated that to lead people to believe that all police are bad. All police are violent and and and is just a false narrative also. They're not oh okay so the end of the day. We're trying to push back against that. Say look there's eight hundred thousand cops you know there someplace there. Some agency that recruited the wrong way higher. The wrong way didn't tried Retain their own people when they do something stupid. That's not decorative of all eight hundred thousand of us. Sure it's a big issue in. It's obviously going to take some time to negotiate all that because it's been going on let me ask you. How did you see how big the lifts were and lindsey graham shoes. Does he have like. Did you notice how many inches he was packing. The lifts guy. He was actually sitting down at the time. But stand up. Settle to leave and he won't ever be Nba star pokes that little guy. Well sheriff john one of the Most recent events we covered From your handiwork. Down in polk county was operation Dirty water and so wanted to give you a chance to see. You know your thoughts on that since that's a fresh one An international organized crime ring essentially So wanted to hear you know you you sort of break down how to how do what do you think about that. And are you seeing more crime of that of that style. We talked about it on the show a couple of weeks ago. What do you know the national media wants to ignore. The what i call the ten thousand pound red elephant in the room and that's drug trafficking and drug abuse and what is occurring the border right now contrary to what the politicians tell you is a crisis and let me underscore is a crisis and not only is it a crisis with the people flooding across the border but we know that the organiz drug smugglers are pushing through a group of people and why border patrols tangled up within their driving large amounts of methamphetamine and other drugs across the border. We see fifty million dollars worth of math. That came in liquid form in five gallon buckets across the border and this drug went to atlanta. We were working an undercover operation in central florida. This particular crime group wanted opened up a pipeline into central florida. We work with department of homeland security. Vhs and as a result of that we're able to bust up this operation but that was the mistake coming into paul county a we we were on them like a jcp. The landing spot was was their fatal flaw. Now what are the one of the women was a believe like a resin. Opole county right. They're using her. so what. what was the situation. What was she like living in a normal house but she had like a ten lamborghinis out front like was real. Flashy like you know. It wasn't near that impressive. This lady that delivered the drudge to us the first delivery right she came out of atlanta. She had been released from federal prison for doing a ten year stretch. For what dealing in math like mac at wasn't rehabilitated. I guess she was still on probation delivered. The drives you know. We didn't know who she was.

Nobody is telling us that nobody is telling you that. WHO's coordinating it? In. Obviously, ANTIFA is at least according to Dan These things are being. Organized we are. We are. I will tell you this. We have really good sources telling us that this is happening the pallets of bricks and everything else, but I'm not willing to go on record until I, have absolute proof on the coordination, but I will tell you really top level sources. Are are verifying this and I will. I will also tell you that it shouldn't shock anybody. This is what they've been talking about. Everything that's happening is being described by these people who have already done it in other cities, and they're describing it for years. They've been describing it online out into the open. This is what we want to happen. Why would you not think? It's like if I go into the bakery every day and I'm like I love these donuts so much, but if I ever run out of money, I'm GonNa I'm GonNa rob this place every day and I'll. Give me. Free donuts burnt down to the ground and then some guy. Walks in who doesn't have a job, and he says I want free donuts, but he's wearing a mask and he says look. I'll burn you down to the ground. Is it logical to at least question those that guy. Are you, can you take your mask off for a second? 'cause, it's probably the same guy and that's what you have with. You you have the same the same people showing up dressed the same causing all kinds of problems. They're not the ones looting the stores. They're the ones smashing the windows, spray painting and setting things on fire. And what is what is the end result in that? WHAT DOES THE END RESULT NEW YORK? If you don't get this under control. You're going to have businesses that say I'm not I can't operate New York. They won't control the crime. There is no freedom without security. and. When you think about the way cops were established. You have to realize that this is still the same thing. These are your local cops and how we established police departments. Logically. Was We were all farmers? We were a group of people and we got in, and we said okay. We're all kind of like minded. We don't WanNa steal from each other. There's no real bad guys here at least that I know of. And I'm I'm out tilling my field, and then I have to sell my goods, someplace and I'm not going to be home and I'm going to be out in the field, and then sometimes I have to take a journey for weeks and who's going to watch over my wife and kids. And if everybody is saying that pretty soon, they all got together and said. Let's hire somebody. You give a little bit. You give a little bit and I'll give a little bit and we'll hire somebody that we trust to watch our stuff. The minute. That guy goes bad. You Fire Him. But we don't because of unions and everything else will. That's the social contract that we have. We hired someone to watch our stuff. Then we hired somebody to to use the law. Read the Law and make sure that there weren't any vigilantes that there weren't any riots that there weren't any of these things and enforce the law. Well, the enforcers are not doing it. The judges are not doing it. Because of the city's The people that you put in charge of your city, so you could just work. And the police! When all three have failed you? Where do you go? What do you do? You just live with it because we can't do our jobs if we are constantly concerned about our security. Has To be some sort of law and order. And that doesn't mean it has to be draconian. It just means it has to be there and when it's enforced when that laws enforced, generally people go along with it generally people as long as it's fair injust they'll do it if they know that. Look you shoot a cop. You should get the death penalty. That's just that's just the way it used to be and I think it should be. If you kill a cop instant death penalty unless you can make the case that they were you know shooting at you for some reason, let's it was a dirty cop. As long as it's not a dirty cop, and they and you you shoot them. Instant death penalty. Long dragged out anything. Death. Penalty you go through one trial. That's it by by. That would change things in America. Now the same thing with the cops if you kill a citizen, I think you actually are worse. If you and every cop makes mistakes, and we know that in the heat of the battle I. Don't WanNa judge that, but when you are stepping on someone's neck or kneeling on someone's neck. You've lost a regard to that. That is a citizen that you have to protect as well. Police have to protect the good guys and the bad guys. They're only trying to separate them and take the bad guys and deliver them to a just justice system. That's their job. That's a citizen to. You may not like them. You may not like what they do, but that's your job. You kill a citizen like that. I think you should get the same penalty, so everybody knows? Don't kill each other. Though disregard each other. and. And what happens to our society? If it if it breaks down, remember we hired cops and judges and mayors and everything else to watch over the stuff, so we could go to work and do what we needed to do. We couldn't do both. So if you have lawlessness on the streets New York, you're not gonNA have any business because the the businesses will say I can't operate here. I'm always replacing front window. You see the footlocker they put the. They broke in the night before they put wood on the door. Then the looters last night went into the same place and finished the job. Well. You know what I'm if I'm Nike. I can't have a store here in New, York I can't. So, how many jobs are lost a what happens to that huge empty building? Now? You'RE GONNA. Have all kinds of problems, but here's the real problem. People like to Blasio people who are for the Democratic Socialist. They want that to happen. They want the economy to be affected. That's why when they say..

"sheriff grady" Discussed on The Glenn Beck Program

"I'm GONNA walk across the street in the middle of an of a riot in the middle decent. I'm going to show you. Who's streets these really are there hours the American people. They're not the streets of the riots. The. He's getting heat for that because they used. They're actually calling. Tear Gas Chemical Weapons. That he used chemical weapons on that the crowd of protesters without any warning which we know for a fact is not true. We know people that were there and they say that there were two warnings issued warning that evacuate the area. Evacuate the area. Or or you will be confronted with tear-gas, so they warned people. And the president, if he's got to go someplace, he's going someplace and I don't think there was a problem at all. I I, don't I? Don't give a rat's ass anymore with the media says they're actually putting the President United States and government figures endanger. Oh my gosh, Dan. That's up to say. Isn't it? Really Let me tell you if they did not report on this bunker incident, and it just kept the lid on it or reported on it responsibly, saying hey, the secret service made security call to remove the president of the bunker, instead of writing stupid articles like the president runs in shame to the bunker which is. Is totally false and made up Glen Ironically by writing like that. They incentivize the president to go out and say listen now. We have to do some kind enough and politics show we're GONNA lose the White House. They don't understand like because they're not smart. They're more on. These are imbeciles with double digit I choose were only in this to aggravate the already bad situation, and it's a shame because they're really incentivising this kind of stuff to happen. They don't even see their role in it. So Dan, you came to me when I was on Fox. Can I tell the story? Have we told the story before? My Gosh that was so long ago. That was great so long ago. Yeah, and you were you. Were there at the White House during Obama, and you came to me during the show and I remember coming over to shake your hand, and say hello, and you said in the break I'm leaving the White House because I'm watching you and I know I'm seeing you know everybody watching in the White House and I. Know What you're saying is true. You were there. Can you talk a little bit about Obama Gate? And you know what? We're probably not going to even care about the end of this summer that we should care about. I think I said on your show video I'm pretty sure because the thing. What nuclear like this is to be maybe eight nine ago I'm almost positive as your show where I warn that the problem with the Obama Administration was he was surrounded by thick offense. Who wouldn't tell him what he couldn't do, and and when you find that, you may say and listen to be fair here. Every administration that sycophants you may even even the administration now, everyone. Sir Problem with the Obama Administration I think the warning I give on your show is when you combine that with this toxic stew Glenn of media permissibility where the media in contrast with Obama everything he did was okay. You invite a Lord acton scenario where power corrupts. And what did they say? Oh, great men of you know bad men. You have a bad Guy Obama with a way. I think bad motivations. Who had no control mechanism? There was no choke points for. For his behavior, an Obama Gate at the end I had left the Secret Service by the time obamacare was happening, but for my sources and the books I wrote about it. who were feeding me information about what happened my FBI guys. It is the biggest scandal in American history, and it's the direct result of the media refusing to call out the president United States abusing and weaponising the powers at his discretion. It was a shame what he did is disgraceful. So. Is there a possibility that it is the same deep state that is supporting I mean I look at. George Soros and the State Department and the the roots going all the way back to the Arab spring. They helped produce. And topple different governments this is. The same kind of course is is there a chance that the deep state is involved in this at all? You know it's funny. We didn't plan this I. Didn't Talk To you before the show, but I've actually writing a different book and I. Don't even WanNa problem not even GonNa. Tell you I'm not interested. I just want to put this out there I'm done with it actually finished. And, the book is about following this deep state money trail, and it's interesting. You bring up syrups at all I. Gosh, you can't talk about sir. No, no I will I'll talk about whatever the hell I want. You could kiss my ass I'm not listening any media NARES. Here's I give exact. No I know you are. I'm like these media matters. Lunatics I, actually have the documents and money trail showing that the same people Glenn in the deep state that the left says doesn't exist involved in the spy gate, thing and the advancement of false narratives. From Ukraine and elsewhere, trump's despise colluding with the Russians. You know he's from the Gulf. Linger James Bond Movies. Oh my gosh, this same exact people were involved in the peach hoax. The same people it's on paper. Just look at the. It's on paper, but the media will never tell you that story because when you bring up sort of like George Soros Oh, this is you can't bring us I'll bring up whatever the hell I want, and that's in the exe-, so your assertion, there is entirely accurate. It is the exact same people they have their own. This with their fingerprints are on everything, and it's really gross to media won't get their heads out of their collective reruns and report on this. Well I. Think they're part of it I think they. I think they would rather have a world with Antifa than a World Donald Trump and people who go to church. That's the way it feels at least. Dan Bongino being there for them I. Mean It's Gross Oh? Trump to Deploy Military to Quell Riots

"Pain a lot of despair a lot of violence in America again last night in New York City the iconic Macy's department store was breached I saw a video of looting taking place in the streets of Manhattan the big fancy apple store the the glass doors shattered in Las Vegas a police officer was struggling with a suspect and somebody else came up behind officer shot him in the head that officers reportedly on life support as we speak four officers shot in St Louis police officers and first responders all over America are under siege sort of feels like one of those Hollywood movies like the purge and the president is of course trying to navigate this country in a way that very few presidents have ever been it's been challenged the president was mocked and taunted for supposedly hiding in the White House so yesterday he came out from the White House addressed the nation and talked about his responsibility to keep Americans safe the president from the rose garden talked about mobilizing all available federal resources civilian and military a lot of people are expecting that he is going to invoke the into the insurrection act which I I I cannot imagine why governors or mayors or anybody would object to the U. S. military assisting law enforcement attacked and keep people safe here's the president said yesterday from the rose garden I am mobilizing all available federal resources civilian and military to stop the rioting and looting to end the destruction and arson and to protect the rights of law abiding Americans including your second amendment rights you know speaking of the second amendment rights there was a video that went viral of a Florida sheriff that I had a pretty powerful message sheriff Grady judge of Polk County Florida reminded the looters anarchists and violent people to think twice before heading out to the suburbs of Polk County Florida but we have received information on social media but some of the criminals we're going to take your criminal conduct into the neighborhoods I would tell them if you value your life you probably shouldn't do that in Polk County because the people of Polk County like guns they have guns I encourage them to own guns and they're going to be in their homes tonight with the guns loaded and if you try to break into their homes to still the set fires I'm highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns that's a sheriff of Polk County Florida now all of course on social media full who are anti gun people who are against the second amendment are livid at that share of making that suggestion but that's just the reality for a lot of homeowners and a lot of residents I've seen all kinds of video of homeowners in their driveways fourteen and pushing back violent people from their property there there's there's nothing easy about any of this because the most important take away is that the message behind the anger and the hurt and the heartache of George Floyd's death is being obscured by all the violence and my big fear is that there are a lot of people who don't really see a difference they believe that burning down somebody's store maybe a a an immigrant or or I'm a minority owned business is somehow acceptable I'm afraid that there are peaceful protesters who really don't mind the threat that the White House was under and continues to be under over under frankly it seems to me that people were angrier about the president visiting St John's Episcopal Church last night than they were looters in violent people trying to burn it down and that's very that's a very bitter pill to swallow this is a historic church Abraham Lincoln worship there before he went to forge unity was assassinated every president has prayed there trump went over there and held up a Bible his Bible apparently and the left went crazy they were livid what would you say you're angry that he's hiding in the White House the language he leaves the White House of course they have to clear the protesters out of the park for him to get there they got a clear path for him to go anywhere what is going to do the guests in a motorcade drives to to the to the airport or whatever he does I mean for crying out loud if protesters are blocking a park and I and I get the optics of it I really do I can appreciate somebody saying well you know they're they're clearing out of park using tear gas to clear the way for the president to go visit the church the president decided to have a very symbolic act I'm supporting a house of worship but even the bishop whose diocese includes that church condemned president trump for what he did and that's that's hard for millions of Americans understand quite frankly that's hard for people to accept one would think that demonstrating a viable the need for a return to our faith and even prayer one would think a bishop would welcome that but that doesn't that doesn't really compute when you hate the president this much when you hate the president was such a burning passion you don't care what it what he does you're you're gonna complain if he's in the White House hiding in the bunker as people of like to put it you're gonna complain it becomes out delivers an address to the to the nation of of trying to keep America safe there's nothing he can do we know what trump haters expect they don't even want to be defeated on November third they wanted to just quit they wanted to resign right now and anything short of that is unacceptable and I challenge trump haters you're listening to the show to tell me that I'm wrong you don't want to wait for the election if you did why would you what I have this kind of reaction to the president supporting St John's Episcopal Church president could invoke the insurrection act it makes no sense to me quite frankly what the what the delay is and we're gonna break this down for you just a moment what the insurrection act means that was signed into law by president Thomas Jefferson all the way back in eighteen oh seven the president seems to suggest that he's doing just that short of him the the formality of invoking the insurrection act here's what the president said yesterday we have a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them do you know how many governors have already lined up to say thanks but no thanks start with New York governor Cuomo apparently one on CNN and said nope not here as if the NYPD can't use the help I don't know governor Cuomo has seen but they are they have their looting all throughout Manhattan they're they're they're breaking into stores stealing apple computers a Nike shoes and Louis Vuitton bag overtime bags they're breaking down order and law governor of Illinois said apparently the same thing these
