And we've got the forecast with storm team four meteorologist chuck bell, not such a great patch of weather coming up. No, after today, it's all downhill from there, heavy duty rain coming up for tomorrow. Rain ending is perhaps a little quick hit of snow on Friday morning, and then the downward spiral of temperatures and wind chills, Friday afternoon, into the Christmas weekend. Take all advantage you can of the good weather outside today. Sunny skies, temperatures now in the upper 20s to low and mid 30s. We'll have highs in the mid 40s this afternoon, a clear sky the seeing will allow temperatures to drop once again down near or below freezing towards early tomorrow morning. As a result, as The Rain moves in, it could start as a little period of sleet or snow in the Shenandoah valley. There's a winter weather advisory along I 81 for tomorrow morning. Everything will change to rain by late morning to around lunchtime tomorrow, and The Rain will be coming down in buckets tomorrow afternoon, one to two inches of rain as possible, could be one of our all time rainiest December days. Temperatures will climb steadily from mid 30s tomorrow morning to the low 50s by late Thursday evening, stay near 50° overnight into the pre dawn hours of Friday morning. The cold front arrives mid to late Friday morning, along with the front, there should be just enough lift for a little rain, perhaps ending as snow between 9 a.m. and noon Friday morning. Behind that, the temperatures go down fast. We will be below freezing by sunset, if not before, and temperatures will fall into the mid teens in metro Washington, temperatures in the single numbers from dulles west to the Shenandoah valley, wind chills below zero Friday evening and Saturday morning. "Dot com that's registered to ring dot com. Jack Taylor TOP traffic, and we're bracing for some winter weather coming. Let's get the forecast with storm team four meteorologist chuck bell. That's right. We have winter sunshine today. Winter rain tomorrow and winter cold for Friday and Christmas weekend. Sun's out now, temperatures are still below freezing in most of the region, but we're headed for high temperatures in the low to mid 40s today. And again, it will be a sunny and easy day to get around and run your errands and finish up all your shopping and get yourself, your family, your pets, your pipes, everything ready for the bitter cold that is coming. Make sure that you are prepared for all that as well as your car. Make sure you have a little car kit to make sure that in case you run into car trouble, you'll be safe. Tomorrow, there's a winter weather advisory in the Shenandoah valley for tomorrow morning. Chance for a little snow or sleet at the onset, it'll be all rain in Washington and will it ever be a rainy day tomorrow. At least an inch to as much as two inches of rain coming Heavy rain arrives here late morning tomorrow and continues up into the evening hour, so your Thursday afternoon will be ugly. Temperatures arise from the 30s tomorrow morning to above 50° by tomorrow evening and stay near or above 50° Thursday night overnight into the early parts of Friday morning. It'll be dry over Thursday night and again with temperatures near 50°, there's no real problems then. The Arctic front arrives here mid to late morning on Friday, as it bumps into the relatively relatively moist air, it's going to ring out another chance for some rain, which could end with some snow. Our local forecast model is now hinting there could be an inch of snow in metro Washington. I'm not sold on that yet, but when you're only promising maybe an edge that's not really that much of an issue. The real issue is that it will stick. Behind The Rain snow change will be a rapid drop in temperatures. We'll be near 50 at sunrise and near 20° by sunset tomorrow, with wind chills headed down into the single numbers by Friday evening and staying in the single numbers Friday night into Saturday, Saturday night into Sunday. Weekend high temperatures will only reach the mid 20s. I'm storm team four, meteorologist chuck bell for WTO P. All right, check, thanks. Well, that won't be hard to do because it's kind of gloomy outside this morning. Plenty of clouds around here still some pockets of mist and drizzle in the Shenandoah valley a few more sprinkles working their way down towards Annapolis and the bay bridge. It's not going to add up to too much, but it certainly is a low deck of overcast over Washington for now. There will be some improvements as we get into the afternoon, which is certainly welcome news. We'll get more and more breaks of sunshine. It might be a little bit past noon time before we really start to notice the improvements, but by the time the kids are getting home from school and most of everybody else is getting home from work, sunshine will be more the rule than the exception, as opposed to the way it is this morning. Stealing a phrase from Campbell's soup, the weather today. Good. Not too humid just yet. Not much of a rain chance around Washington today either. Today's high 86. That's still 2° below average and a small range chances today really are confined west of the blue ridge into the Shenandoah valley. I don't see a big chance for rain reaching the metro Washington area today, or even tomorrow. So that's double bonus, a dry weather on a Friday, although tomorrow will be noticeably more humid than today. And a little bit warmer. Back up to 88°. So two pretty nice summer days in a row today and tomorrow. And then as we get into the weekend, that extra humidity will lead to higher rain chances returning for both Saturday and Sunday. Not a lot of confidence in the Sunday rain chance fish ship, but Saturday morning looks like the best giants for rain, at least on the first half of the weekend. And another storm bringing high rain chances and early parts of next week that could leave Sunday in a little bit of a lull between rain chances. So let's hope so. It'd be nice to have some usable outdoor weather time over the weekend. We can high temperatures will stay in the low to mid 80s. No real serious threat of being back above 90° any time too soon. The Dinesh D'Souza Podcast
The Enigmatic Genius of Robert E. Lee
"Our final question concerns the enigmatic genius of Robert E. Lee. Listen. A high dinesh, I just listened to your episode one 29 in which you stated that you thought that Robert E. Lee was one of the best journals of all time. I wanted to bring your attention to a book called lost victories the military genius of Stonewall Jackson by Bevin Alexander. He makes a compelling argument that Stonewall Jackson while he was in the Shenandoah campaign. He separately fought three different union armies and defeated all three of them, and then he joined Robert E. Lee's staff and Robert Lee hadn't doing too good before that. But he was really impressed with Stonewall Jackson and listened to his counsel and followed his advice, and that's where all the victories came from. So I really it's just a well researched excellent written book and I hope you have time to take a look at it. Take care. This is fascinating. And my answer is not really going to disagree so much is to try to fill out the argument that I think you're making. A couple of words about Stonewall Jackson. Stonewall Jackson, this is, by the way, general Joseph Jackson, a great military tactician, a strange man, apparently he was highly superstitious he believed that when he wrote a horse, he needed to keep his keep one of his arms outstretched to the side in order to sort of maintain his spiritual balance. He was unrelenting, he was merciless. He was once asked, what should we do with the Yankees and his answer was kill them all, kill them all. And he inspired unswerving military loyalty from his troops, he would send people to into grave danger and in some cases almost certain death, and they would, without questioning his orders, carry them out. So this was obviously a very charismatic man and, as you say, in the Shenandoah valley, he was able to move from point to point, take on different segments of the Union Army thrashed them and move to another spot and do exactly the same thing. And you also write that Robert E. Lee saw him as indispensable when stonewalling Jackson was eventually killed. I believe Robert E. Lee said literally something to the effect of I've lost my. I've lost my right arm. So all of this I think is true, and it raises the question of where then is the military genius of Robert E. Lee? Well, part of it is you actually pointed out yourself when you said that Lee recognized the tactical wisdom of Stonewall Jackson. Remember, that's part of what a general

PODSHIP EARTH
The Food Fix
"I must admit to being exhausted. The last four years has taken a massive psychological and emotional toll that i'm only now just beginning to appreciate truthfully the struggle to keep hope that this day would arrive of alluded me the good news that we now have the opportunity to reignite democracy civility truth and move towards healing both our country and the earth. We've gone so far backwards that we need to move forward with deliberate tangible and bold steps one of the voices calling for such a revolution in thinking and action is dr mark. Hyman mark is a systems thinker and for dr. Hyman health is about connecting the soil with the farmer with the groza without diet and only when we connect all those dots. Can we begin to achieve planetary regeneration. As we'll hear in today's podcast what is truly staggering is the cost of today's broken food system. In which sixty percent of our calories in the us come in the form of ultra processed food. Dr mark hyman is head of strategy and innovation of the cleveland clinic center for functional medicine. He's the founder and director of the ultra wellness center and the board president of clinical affairs for the institute of functional medicine. Mark hosts one of the leading health. Podcast the doctors pharmacies spelled f. a. a. c. y. Pham esi marcus. The thirteen time. New york best seller author. His most recent book is called food. Fix how to save our health our economy our communities and our planet one bite. At a time i sought by ascii mark. How he got into medicine in the first place. Ming doctor was a total afterthought for me buddhist student in college. I studied buddhism. Asian studies chinese. I studied ecology. The environment systems thinking ancient systems of healing. Very eclectic and i decided after i graduated. But what am. I going do with a degree in buddhism so i took a long hike by myself in the shenandoah valley through my backpack brought a copy of moby dick. Because it was a very thick books. I could carry and read house before kindle and I just walked and thought and just kind of thought about what i wanted to do in the buddhist framework is really about healing. It's a it's a healing system. It's not really a religion it's really a system of healing of the mind and it's about the relief of suffering it's about compassion and love and service and and those were things that really called to me as a young man and i thought well. What could i do. That kind of fits all that. I could be a monk. That didn't sound like a lot of fun. But i decided i could be a doctor and it was a total afterthought i just i didn't have any science courses. I had to go back. And take some pre med courses and ended up loving. And i decided i would just keep doing as long as i liked it. And if i didn't like it anymore. I would stop and so far so good thirty years later. I mean that's great advice for anyone thinking about people. Ask me career advice. I say that like if you enjoy it if it fills you keep doing it and if it doesn't maybe think about stopping it exactly exactly chain. I've changed so many things i've been you know a small town country doctrine idaho and a native american reservation. Emergency room doctor started clinics in china ex patriots. I was the medical director. Kanye ranch i developed my own. Practice started writing books and teaching About functional medicine became the faculty of functional medicine institute and direct and the chairman of it started big center for functional medicine at cleveland clinic. And now i'm sort of moving into a different phase of thinking about how do we deal with the intersecting issues of food and health and agriculture environment which all may seem separate but are actually all one problem and if we want to solve one we have to solve them all to before we end that. What is functional medicine. What does that mean. That joke is the opposite of dysfunctional medicine. Which is what we have now. As essentially a system of thinking it's not a methodology or treatment or attests supplement is is essentially a way of thinking about disease based on systems. It's it's base c ecosystem medicine. You understand that that the environment is an ecosystem and that everything has to be imbalanced in nature. For to thrive and in madison we really created a reductionist model that allows us to focus on diseases and symptoms in drugs to target those symptoms and not really understand what is health. We never took the course in medical school. Creating a healthy human wanna one. You know we we basically learn how to diagnose and diseases functional. Medicine is the science creating health. And when you do that does goes away. The side effect if you create a healthy ecosystem for example on a farm or a natural ecosystem it becomes. Resilient disease doesn't occur.
