And i didn't <Speech_Music_Male> think it was long. I thought <Speech_Male> i was amazed at how <Speech_Male> much <Speech_Male> you <Speech_Male> You make clear <Speech_Male> and concise <Speech_Male> amount of space. I thought <Speech_Male> it was <Speech_Male> excellent food for thought <Speech_Music_Male> about this name. <Speech_Male> You know that you hear <Speech_Male> it comes <Speech_Male> up here and there. And <Speech_Music_Male> then just to think of him in <Speech_Male> total after <Speech_Male> his passing was very <Speech_Male> interesting <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And you know <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> alad <Speech_Male> actually. Can you explain <Speech_Male> why you thought this was <Speech_Male> so important for <Speech_Male> for this episode. <Speech_Male> To to deal with <Speech_Male> his passing <Speech_Male> is a topic. <Speech_Male> I think <Speech_Male> i think that people don't <Speech_Male> think about <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Don't you think about so <Speech_Male> much people <Speech_Male> who you know <Speech_Male> Wield power <Speech_Male> lucky wield power. <Speech_Male> He wielded <Speech_Male> his power with money <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And it really has <Speech_Male> influenced and shaped <Speech_Music_Male> our world <Speech_Male> You know <Speech_Male> wherever you are <Speech_Male> on that spectrum <Speech_Male> you like it or you <Speech_Male> don't like it. You know what <Speech_Male> he what he <Speech_Male> was was for. <Speech_Male> I mean <Speech_Male> as just the the <Speech_Male> different areas that we <Speech_Male> were talking about have <Speech_Male> had really tremendous <Speech_Male> influence <Speech_Male> In the <Speech_Male> jewish world whether <Speech_Male> it be birthright project <Speech_Music_Male> for the last twenty <Speech_Male> years plus <Speech_Male> or or <Speech_Male> you know <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> The <Speech_Music_Male> seraglio <Speech_Male> paper that we've talked about <Speech_Male> all these other things <Speech_Male> he's really <Speech_Male> Had a major <Speech_Male> major influence <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And i don't think we talk <Speech_Male> about that enough <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> and bring that to the <Speech_Male> fore we kind of just <Speech_Male> you know <Speech_Male> we <Speech_Male> we owe then <Speech_Male> bassy happens but like <Speech_Male> how were those <Speech_Male> really the background <Speech_Male> of how those <Speech_Male> things <hes> <Speech_Male> Come to <Speech_Male> play <Speech_Male> And i think <Speech_Male> philanthropy is <Speech_Male> a really <Speech_Male> really important <Speech_Music_Male> issue. <Speech_Male> We often <Speech_Male> forget these when we <Speech_Male> study history. <Speech_Male> Aside from baron <Speech_Male> rothschild there are very <Speech_Music_Male> few figures <Speech_Music_Male> that come up <Speech_Male> in history class. That <Speech_Male> are you <Speech_Male> know. I don't know that one hundred years <Speech_Male> from now people will talk <Speech_Male> about him. But you're right <Speech_Male> he. He <Speech_Music_Male> really <Speech_Music_Male> had a major <SpeakerChange> impact <Speech_Male> on major events. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I think they will. <Speech_Male> I mean people are still talking <Speech_Male> about. Rothschild netspend like <Speech_Male> a lot of the <Speech_Male> very generous <Speech_Male> Alphabet <Speech_Male> miranda biden had <Speech_Male> called him the the <Speech_Male> more the modern day rothschild. <Speech_Male> I think <Speech_Male> what separated <Speech_Male> him really was just <Speech_Male> the scope <Speech_Male> The <Speech_Male> punters <Speech_Male> of assured <Speech_Male> in total billions of <Speech_Male> dollars that were given <Speech_Male> to <Speech_Male> causes in. Israel <Speech_Male> has just. It's just <Speech_Male> you. it's too hard <Speech_Male> work. I mean it's too large <Speech_Male> to ignore. <Speech_Male> Even try to put him <Speech_Male> in the same camp <Speech_Female> as other <Speech_Male> other major philanthropy <Speech_Male> philanthropy <Speech_Male> that he just simply <Speech_Male> dwarfs the <Speech_Male> amount of money. <Speech_Male> What surprised <Speech_Male> you covered <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I think it <Speech_Male> was the sheer amount of money. <Speech_Male> Acting it <Speech_Male> really. <Speech_Female> I think <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> I mean <Speech_Male> they're the interesting stories <Speech_Male> about the <Speech_Male> breakdown relationship <Speech_Male> with ten yao's <Speech_Male> in in the <Speech_Male> beginning of this ship with trump <Speech_Male> in that it's <Speech_Male> i <Speech_Male> mean i think he was also <Speech_Female> having said he had to work with <Speech_Female> some very difficult <Speech_Male> personalities. <Speech_Male> I think it's easier <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> But just the sheer <Speech_Male> money. I think <Speech_Male> is is <Speech_Male> quite a <Speech_Male> someone <Speech_Male> who's not making that <Speech_Male> took <Speech_Male> me a little bit <Speech_Male> but it <Speech_Male> wasn't just <Speech_Male> got <Speech_Male> like you know <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> percent of that <Speech_Male> the as <Speech_Female> larry thinking exactly <Speech_Male> i'll just <Speech_Male> take a point point <Speech_Male> to change my life. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Well he <Speech_Male> also. "Know that transition. I didn't realize also like it. Sounds the way you presented in the article was like this remarkable sudden transformation from a democrat to republican. Yeah i think it was. I mean the he talked. I think around nineteen eighty eight. He had some sort of conversation. I think he was. He was single focused. Before internal las vegas politics that do with xenos and and promoting his brand. I think so. He was very laser focused on that And then i think he had some sort of conversation with william bush. George h wishes brother around nineteen eighty eight. That quickly convinced him that. As a as a billionaire you need a you want lower taxes and then the republican Brand of politics and the agenda is much more suitable for someone who wants to want to has the amount of money that he has he understood. It quickly joined the republican party at that point became a member and and then but the allegiance to israel. I think he talks about it. Afterwards as had been like blips of of real connection at he there's one Interesting quote that he had said at the us army veteran and he lamented after the fact like more recently that the uniform i wore in the military unfortunate with not in israel uniform all all we care about is being good zionist being good citizens of israel. Because i even though. I'm not israeli born. Israel's in my heart i think he did have this connection israel. But it didn't really come into fruition until he visited for the first time in nineteen eighty-eight And then of course marriage Miriam adelson Knocker offshore and i think is her maiden name in nineteen ninety one That that was actually at the cassette and she's israeli and she's israeli and international helped. Organize that that the idea of being able to hold a wedding in the said. That's something that's usually acceptable. I'm looking into that too so it doesn't that doesn't really work but next but we'll find tuna but see i mean i'm marrying mandelson has rarely been not just in israel but very ardently right wing israeli. I think helps really format form his politics Even more so so like almost like a new believer sounds like kind of describing. You know yeah again. Yeah maybe aboard against item and maybe the. I think you're right. It came out in the article that ways that he really had this like a revelation and that is kinda put it at some points in terms of describing he. He came like the ground and came wearing his father's shoes saying that he wasn't he hadn't been able to. His father had been too poor to come visit israel but he wanted wanted some part of his father to be with him at when he visited very clearly emotional connection that felt that he felt very strongly about but i mean the the comments that he made about the. Us army That he also had a few comments that were kind of contradictory but some of his stories..

"I think trump in general took the the conservative jewish right In the us. And even more. So the evangelical Christian right very very serious. And he saw them as a base of supporters in. This is something that they desperately wanted. I think sheldon adelson bite of been saw a figure that helped convince him And he clearly played a role in in. I mean he paid. He paid for the ceremony And was sitting front row. I mean he was involved in the process. But i think to say that he was the reason why i think it might be a little bit of a stretch. I want to go back to the property right. Who's right by. yeah yeah. So he bought the the the am so that the ambassador had used to have a residents in herzliya. that costs. it's a. I don't know if you've ever been there but it's they have. They used to host like fourth of july parties. It's a gorgeous Residents along the water and he purchased it after the embassy was transferred to jerusalem to to prevent the possibility that the ambassador with kind of return the top the embassy Return the tel aviv. Or the ambassador with return to earth steinhardt hertzel on the he purchased this home in in along the water at a cost of sixty seven million We don't even know how much it should have been caught what it should have cost kind of with a little bit done under the table And didn't come. Until after. I mean i was to be fair. I was looking at buying that. Also it's a nice place. If you end up getting points those fourth of july august but yeah so then. There was a a very large involvement in the whole embassy transfer. Yeah so i do want to get back to the democracy. Show i just. I actually think his position is i mean he. He had a right to his opinion. Obviously but i. I don't think i would argue that. If there's a plurality of israelis say that the jewish identity of the state has more central to them to its democratic nature and went in points of conflict might even be willing to compromise on its democratic nature. That isn't exactly the same as saying so. Israel won't be a democracy and i would argue that that's really more of the extreme israeli. Right in a plurality that plurality that kind of talks about the jewish nature being very important to them would not say they're still rally. Maybe at this point i think it's below fifty percent. That still do support a few state solution. But that is the overwhelming or the prominent feeling among israelis that they still do wanna have some separation from the palestinians and create a state. Adelson went way farther than that and saying. Yes the jewish nature is important. And it's also because. I don't want to give the palestinians escape. I mean he was fringe it. His political opinion would be fringed politics. But but you also point out on the article that he moved away from apec that he was outside of apex stream. Can you clarify what right. In what ways he was. Yeah i think it was in two thousand seven that wasn't even over specifically palestinian state issue but there had been in the middle of the midst of the roadmap in peace effort the bush the george w bush would have been promoting with candy rice They're also been efforts to kind of provide increased aid to the palestinian authority and adelson and apec. Actually back this because they see it as the strength. Strengthening of the palestinian..

"So he said he was posted a couple of times as saying playing down the importance of As democratic state kind of hinting at the whole issue with the palestinians and whether or not israel is obliged to give the palestinians a state of their own onto to relief. Relief the demographic Problem of a jewish minority between the river the see so he was quoted a couple times as saying so i won't be democratic so what At a at a conference of the icy which is israel. America conference council which is another one of those organizations in the us that he was bankrolling at another time. He kind of He talked about how the purpose of the existence of the palestinians is to destroy israel. It was very much against a palestinian state of kind of. I think what he meant by very much. Not as much having concern too for the democratic nature of israel he was more very much more concerned with With his remaining jewish state he said i think god i think god didn't say anything about democracy. He he said that. Twenty fourteen speech to iraq He didn't talk about israel remaining as democratic state so that was his worldview. The priority was a jewish state or a democratic one and honestly today polls in israel show that that's also their view of a growing number. If that a plurality of israel jewish israelis that that place the jewish state above the democratic nature of the state. We're gonna veer. Because what you're talking a little bit about the way he's he's raised with an to the who's kind of reminded me a little bit of wrote about his relationship with the president trump in the fact that they were close right. You mentioned that they weren't so close but yet the agenda was a similar agenda right. I think it's also what separates adelson himself. Active Was that he was very honed in on what was important to him. I think there are a lot of other people with more money than him. That haven't had the same kind of influence because he zeroed in on the issues that were important to him..

It was also require them to charge money so they could be Balanced playing field a little bit. So everyone If everyone's has to charge maybe that will allow other the audio which is also very a Has its own each does well. That's kind of another issue with israeli on media and a lot of ways that there's not very rarely can you find that thank Newspaper which doesn't have a very clear genda that even at even there's a difference between During right versus being. I think oftentimes a lot of places sensationalized for just dramatic effected for also in an attempt to get yours. So that's a problem. Aditorial pages or and correct so every issue when they become more than just the fact that the prime minister of the state has communication with that particular oregon it lacks independence as a journalist up standout for all the other issues you know that journalists and faces there was even a strange. You mentioned in your piece. The strange interaction. That sarah netanyahu had with miriam adelson could count that and yeah I think sarah netanyahu was known She doesn't have the best image. A lot of israeli media she seen as someone is is paranoid and Very concerned with her image and I think there was a a moment around early. Twenty tens period Our they had regular contact with the adelson's Sarah another point accused claims that at that. Uh miriam adelson headed an affair with the editor of israel. Mark regev Which kind of ruined their relationship with them to be at that point but in this specific incident mentioned that sorry our toll according to the statements given to police by the adelson's there during the during the police investigation of corruption affairs tonio in his role in media. Now but also just general causes throughout the country. Or the reo medical school in in the west bank various causes all throughout the country That he's given hundreds of millions of dollars to over the years now. Do you think that you can separate his philanthropy from his political activism or are they always sort of joined at the hip I think it's hard for most people to do that. I think that what can what can be separated is that he did give to causes again. Like you advocate sham. And it wasn't just like the to have a hall named after him or his wife miriam It was also giving funds to the to the maintenance staff at things that weren't always getting like the the the most sexiest titles or or or on parts of the yad vashem brand He was giving lots of money to for example. He paid for his hotel in las vegas. He paid for all the staff to continue getting healthcare and and and their their salaries during the during the pandemic Was publicized but again this not the typical things you might have made from when you hear about sheldon adelson on the other hand. Though most of his money was very much the vast vast vast majority of it was very very political causes And very much influencing both us in israel politics so for people especially on the center or left. "Frightening warning from the FBI on hackers using malicious software to launch a cyber attack against us. It's based on the best selling book by New York Times National Security correspondent David He, Sanger. About a new form of conflict that is global, inexpensive, invisible and supremely available to small groups. Not just large powers. Jon Mateos, the director of the perfect weapon, and he joins us now from Brooklyn. Thank you so much for being with us. Thanks for having me, Scott. You know, I'm going to ask you plenty of questions about the dangers that cyber warfare poses to the US, But I have to ask you first. Did we fire the first shots across the bow? It appears as if we did Scott because when we attacked the Iranian nuclear program In 2007. The code that we put into the plant was released and everyone knew about it Now there were plenty of covert kind of operations that go on. Probably things will never know about. But that one was let out of the box. And because of that. It appears as if we fired the first shot, and we've been paying for it ever since. Let me ask you about a few attacks. We know about 2013 cyber attack. On Las Vegas that was done in response to something of casino owners. That's right. Well, he wasn't just any casino owner was Sheldon Adelson, a well connected casino that's correct on he had gone online. He was part of Ah symposium where he Talked about actually setting off a nuclear weapon against Iran as a way to stop their nuclear program, and that video went onto YouTube. It went viral and the Iranians found out about it, and they planned a very powerful destructive cyber attack on his sands casino operation. To demonstrate something to him or to the United States. Oh, that's the thing about these sorts of attacks. You know, they're short of war attacks. They're not necessarily attacking our our critical infrastructure all the time, but it sends a message that destructive attack. Is easy for a country like Iran. It's It's an asymmetrical attack, and it made a very strong point. Once it was let out. I mean, the Sands Corporation did everything I could to hide the fact that they had lost $40 million in their technology. But it was let out an incentive, frightening message. And, as David Sanger says in the film, What happened in Vegas didn't stay in Vegas. 2014 cyberattack essentially brought down a Seth Rogan James Franco film, the interview. Which, in fact does race areas questions about freedom of expression On also of you know, a major film corporation, Sony Yeah, that was that was the one that really got so much notice because it became suddenly an international incident. And I have to say it's one of the big issues in the film that I think people will recognizes that that the US is uniquely vulnerable to these kinds of attacks because of our openness because of our First Amendment because of the public square, our weapons against authoritarians regimes don't necessarily have the same effect Hack and dump attacks like what happened at Sony. Are not as effective to countries like Iran and Russia. As your documentary makes playing the Internet research agency in ST Petersburg. They're not just hackers, but in a way novelists and actors, too, aren't they? That's right. You know, it's It's very interesting. They studied All the sort of weak points in the divisions in our society, and they learned to exploit them, and that's right. That's the way they were able to sort of adopt our language and our habits over social media. It was just extraordinary to discover and you know, we're still discovering these sorts of things, and we're watching now, as the Russians change the playbook, and they're not just using their own bus, but they're using what they call useful idiots. They're finding people in the social media networks who they convinced to forward their disinformation. We just saw it on. We're starting to learn a lot more about what was going on with the New York Post story. With Rudy Giuliani in his work in Ukraine. Anytime anyone goes into Ukraine, they have to know that Ukraine, as we say in the film is Vladimir Putin's Petri dish. Is this war? As John McCain termed it a few years ago, it is war. David Singer likes to call short of war because have there been any kind of human casualties. Not yet. It's costs a lot of corporations, tremendous amount of money we saw that go from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in 2017 with the not Petra had wannacry attacks. But that may change Scott, which is the concern. When we look at the proliferation of five G networks, and we start thinking about things like driverless cars are air traffic control systems that we run on five G networks. There could be devastating attacks and I do wonder if the future of warfare is, it seems, is going to go from boots on the ground two fingers on the keyboard. Your documentary, I think does raise the question for anybody watching. Should we be so interconnected? You know, should we? Should we be on the road to having our refrigerators tell us when we're out of milk when we're you know, on the other side of the planet and can order it from a service, so it'll be delivered when we get back home. I mean, is Do we really want to live this way? Well, I think the cat's out of the bag. I mean, I think that we That's a foregone conclusion. But what I do think we have to think about a lot is conventions around the use of this kind of weaponry. We have it for nuclear weapons. There are Geneva Conventions about traditional conventional warfare. But there's nothing to constrain the use of cyber weapons. And I think as a a world we need to sort of maybe address that, Mr Mageau, should we be worried about voting in 2020? I think we should always be worried. We should have our guard up. As we see in the film. We have a lot of Officials warning a lot about ransomware attacks. You know what would happen if what has happened in the past two cities like Baltimore? Where you know they're held hostage, you know, should that happen in this election? We don't get an accurate count. It's only going to add to the chaos. John Maggio has directed the documentary The Perfect Weapon. It's based on David Sanger's book now on HBO. Thank you so much for being with us. Thank you, Scott..

HBO's New Documentary Warns Of The Dangers Of Cyberwarfare

"The perfect weapon now on HBO is a documentary about a danger. We've all heard a lot about, but don't really know new and frightening warning from the FBI on hackers using malicious software to launch a cyber attack against us. It's based on the best selling book by New York Times National Security correspondent David He, Sanger. About a new form of conflict that is global, inexpensive, invisible and supremely available to small groups, not just large powers. It appears as if we did Scott because when we attacked the Iranian nuclear program in 2007, the code that we put into the plant was released and everyone knew about it. Now there were plenty of covert kind of operations that go on, probably things we'll never know about. But that one was let out of the box. And because of that, it appears as if we fire the first shot, and we've been paying for it ever since. Let me ask you about a few attacks. We know about 2013 cyber attack. On Las Vegas that was done in response to something of casino owners. That's right. Well, he wasn't just any casino owner was Sheldon Adelson, a well connected casino that's correct on he had gone online. He was part of the symposium where he talked about actually setting off a nuclear weapon. Against Iran as a way to stop their nuclear program, and that video went onto YouTube. It went viral and the Iranians found out about it, and they planned, very powerful, destructive cyber attack of his sands casino operation to demonstrate something to him or to the United States. Oh, that's the thing about these sorts of attacks. You know, they're short of war attacks. They're not necessarily attacking our Our critical infrastructure all the time. But it sends a message. That destructive attack is easy for a country like Iran. It's it's an asymmetrical attack, and it made a very strong point. Once it was let out. I mean, the Sands Corporation did everything I could to hide the fact that they've lost $40 million in their technology, But it was let out and incentive, frightening message And, as David Sanger says in the film What happened in Vegas didn't stay in Vegas 2014 cyberattack essentially brought down a Seth Rogan James Franco film the interview, which in fact does raise serious questions about freedom of expression. On also of you know, a major film corporation Sony. Yeah, that was that was the one that really got so much notice because it became suddenly an international incident. And I have to say it's one of the big issues in the film that I think people will recognizes that that the US is uniquely vulnerable to these kinds of attacks because of our open this because of our First Amendment because of the public square. Our weapons against authoritarians regimes don't necessarily have the same effect happened. Dump attacks, like what happened at Sony are not as effective to countries like Iran and Russia.

Republican casino magnate Adelson cautioned Trump on trade war with China

"Welcome back to fast money. President Trump is rolling the dice on China well that's the big warning from Casino Titan Sheldon Adelson The Wall Street Journal reporting that the Las Vegas San. CEO called President Trump to discuss how escalating trade tensions could hit the US economy and hurt the president in his reelection race course casino stocks among the hardest hit in this trade war. He didn't didn't call President Trump specifically about the casino industry but still coming from casino magnate think. Michelle says one of his biggest backers so you have to. I wonder if there's a subtle pressure being put on so now you look at the casinos. Do they make sense here well. LVS has been as significant downtrend lower lows lower highs for quite some time win on the other hand. You know this one. Oh five to one zero eight level has been support a couple of times so a few of the belief which I am not by the way if you believe there's a deal. Jill round the corner. I think win is extraordinarily cheap. At current levels. I think first of all speaking to the broader element of what Mr Wilson could be talking about in terms of hey look from your political constituency perspective. You fought this battle and you've gained enough points more importantly. You're going to lose the election if the market is not on the sides of the investor so the wealth effect effect is clearly going to be where people are voting back to casinos. I still think Macau's a major part that is also somewhat of a regional dynamic big brother in China. It's Macau but it certainly Hong Kong and I do think as guy points out win has been a poster child here. I'll tell you what at one point eight. The valuation is very very supported as the chart you buy. I mean Hong Kong. Protests have been going on for four months now. Even leading into the seventieth anniversary of the People's Republic of China. It's ridiculous how you expect there to to be less less violet or the story to to gather less newsworthiness and it seems like it's just prevalent constantly but Las Vegas you get Singapore as well as Macau and Vegas I go there. If you want invest yeah I I mean. I think you have to prove to prove themselves to. You're right. There's just too many risks out there and then if there is is lifting of the trade war you're gonNA have all kinds of time to buy these things so for me. It's a no touch at this point. It's interesting that Sheldon Adelson actually called him to to warn about this since it seems like every both both sides of the political aisle are moving more towards being China hawks. If you take a look at all these debates that are going on. We're sorry he has a vested interest interest in making him back off it so you don't necessarily in agreement as much as just lack of aggressiveness on the trade. I just think that ultimately those sheldon probably thinks if he does not do enough in the economy falls pressure on the market pulse pressure that's going to be more important than getting on a limb on China

policy Trump says US will recognize Israel's sovereignty over Golan Heights

"Is the tweet about the United States, recognizing the annexation the annexation of the Golan Heights, which is occupied territory, but the but Israel nineteen Eighty-one effectively said, no, no, no. This is ours were never giving this up strategically makes all the sense in the world because Golan Heights is this plateau overlooking the valley right next to the gal Li I think I have it correctly and the missiles rockets used to rain down and Israel. So they took it. And now they have a decent military position. But the entire world looks at Israel as. As an illegal occupier. And for the president to do this. Let's talk about the political ramifications because there's really relates to the Democrats and the candidates who have said we want. No part of this Sanders. Elizabeth warren. Booker Booker, Kamala, Harris who are as far as the Israeli lobbyists. Concerned are pro Palestinian what does that mean in terms of the Jewish lobby money because APEC the largest Jewish organization which has been hundreds of millions of dollars. What does all that mean? So this is what I think prompted the tweet I think it was actually some real strategic Riyan on part of the president first of all the president likes to be seen as just the most pro Israel ever to walk the earth. He and he's encouraged by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who's that's what he's focusing on a lot. Close the President Trump's close allies with people like Sheldon Adelson who are. Sanely lives to that besides making money, they are pro Israel. So that's all of a win. But I think more importantly Trump and his team recognized an opportunity with this congresswoman Omar's perceived antisemitic remarks and Trump realized that if he is able to drive a wedge further out and four democratic primary contenders to be even more anti Israel, Than's already floating out that not only is it a win for Trump and his base because being in the Republican party. It's interesting. It's almost the opposite. Being pro Israel is almost a litmus test these days to be a good Republican. But for Trump if he can choke off another significant support of pocket of money for the democrat eventual democratic nominee that he's a massive win. And it's not as if these dollars now, we'll sit on the sidelines. They will go. Trump Trump will enjoy the benefit of those it was and I thought this to a smart smart move by the presbytery small. So this was not shooting from the hip. This was well fide he knew with one tweet that he could not only choke off the Democrats money. Hap- schizo votes in the process. I don't really that's what it's about it gets choking their money off an unlocking. Not Justice Sheldon Adelson the world. Remember, a pack is technically nonpartisan they do raise money for both sides of the aisle. They don't care if you're pro Israel, they're going to support you, but now boycotting and not attending a pack event. Which? You just never seen. Nobody does especially if it doesn't matter democrat Republican because it's a question of this powerful powerful organization that supports Israel. Well, it's it's the American Jewish organization is what it is. I mean, I think if I had to put a concrete dollar figure what Trump cost the Democrats and probably made himself. I would estimate just in this upcoming cycle anywhere from thirty to one hundred and fifty million dollars believable. What good does it do the book the bookers? And the Kamala Harris is and Elizabeth Warren Sanders to take a stand, which is perceived anti Israel. I think that they just felt that they had no choice because the they're running on the idea of everyone is good. They're the underdog collusion. Exactly. They don't want to alienate anybody don't remember much like Barack Obama didn't really want to take a position you want upset anybody. That's what. The Democrats are doing and what you see in these primaries. It's look it happens on both sides. The Democrats have a primary this go round is when one candidate leading candidates say Sanders anchors out on that position. The wrestling just go to because they don't want to be thought as the lesser of the progressives. Just one quick last one the move towards inclusion by alienating the Jewish lobby and by the way for those people say, oh, there's no Jewish lobby. It's a huge lobby the Cy kid ourselves there just strategically. Yes there. I would if they do here's the deal, they're lobby, but they're not a big enough voting block got difference and the block that these Democrats are chasing are largely minorities. And they don't want to be on the wrong side of that issue. They don't wanna give any other candidate in this race. The ability say I'm more progressive than he or she is and progressive. Means it's not pro Palestinian, certainly a more even-handed say less alienating of anyone. Right. They don't want to say that any there. Then what say that anybody's better than anybody else? They don't wanna do

Michael Cohen testifies before Congress

"Michael Cohen when everyone in this room to think about this the first announced witness for the hundred and sixteenth. Congress is a guy who is going to prison in two months for lying to congress. Mr Chairman, your chairmanship will always be identified with this hearing. What this is hearing for heavy-handedness. Straight up there about the business of the day. I think. Choreograph the whole. Cummings rose out all sorts of historic. These people are crazy than I am. No. He told her staff he told the committee staff, he said, the hearing was his idea he selected this committee. He had to talk Michael Cohen into comment, and most importantly, he had to persuade the chairman to actually have it. He told us took two months to get that job done. But here we this is what Americans like about politics. Yeah. I find the posturing someone convicted of lying to congress has appeared again so quickly in front of congress. Certainly it's the first time a convicted perjurer has Cota or no, he's shirtsleeved, sir. And there's a reason why subject really burning mechanical. Bernie sanders. Canadian we got lots of lawyers on this. No, it's actually sorta slick. I'm a witness to violate attorney client privilege. Mr Chairman, we legitimize dishonesty, we de-legitimize this institution. We're supposed to pursue the truth. But you have stacked the deck against the truth. We're only allowed to ask certain questions even with that amendment. You just told us about Russia's now on the table. You initially told us we can't ask questions about the special counsel can't ask questions about the southern district of New York. Can't ask questions about Russia realized that if he gets stuck in. I'm going to be harmful to the president of the United States and the answers to those questions. I'm gonna come from a guy who can't be trusted. Here's what the US attorney said about Mr. Cohen, Mr. Cohen enjoyed a privileged life, his desire, forever, greater wealth and influence precipitated. An extensive course of criminal conduct. Mr. Colin committed four four distinct federal crimes over a period of several years. He was motivated to do. So by personal greed and repeatedly repeatedly used his power and influence for deceptive in could hire a piece of shit like that. They don't care. They just wanna use you Mr. Cohen. You're their Patsy today. They gotta find somebody somewhere to say something. So they can try to remove the president from office. Tom Steiner told him to Tom. Seek organized a town hall guess where cut replaced. George Soros or Charles coke townhall, guess where Sheldon Adelson district in Baltimore. The best. They can find the best. They can find to start this process. Michael Cohen well in this complete waste of time in the circus. Federal inmates. Seems like there's real works. If the congress could be doing. I'll say one thing about the Democrats. Oh, wait, they stick to the playbook. Remember, I'd like myself. Rex the Clinton campaign hired Perkins. QE law firm who hired Glenn Simpson who foreigner Christopher Steele who put together the fake dossier air, we go that the FBI used to go get a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign, but when that whole scheme failed and the American people said we're gonna make Donald Trump president. They said we got to do something else. So now Clinton loyalists Clinton operative. Lanny Davis has persuaded the chairman of the oversight committee to give a convicted felon a forum just tell stories and lie about the president of the United States, whatever we can start their impeachment process. Mr Chairman, we are better than this. We are better than this. Are you back? Nicely done. He said everything he knows the chairman actually I want. I jesus. I don't give these back. So. Yeah. Motion motion under rule two K six of rule Baxter chairman. You took seven minutes. I took four. That's how you could operate. I don't follow the rules. That's how you're gonna say. You'll be back. Backward. From the rules. I just have a simple motion. Mr chairman.
