"Of the tournament, I think. But it was clear that there was a bit of stress there. And I agree, I do think this kind of similar to the Wimbledon final where she didn't maybe let it out so much and maybe that was a sort of coping mechanism to let it out a bit. And it did end up sort of turning around for her getting getting her game together. But yeah, it has come a bit out of the blue for me this run. You know, we were talking about on sher head of Roland Garros and ahead of Wimbledon. We weren't here and she said that I think she felt similarly. She was fresh because she hadn't played that many matches, but she didn't really know what to expect. That's because she hadn't been winning. Exactly. That's why I view this as a massive net positive. I think it's a huge sign of mental progression on her part. Given that she's somebody that has freestyled her way into the affections of everybody who watches her and got people talking about what she's going to achieve and here is me saying I don't see her in a mix in my lifetime and the reason is because I didn't think she had this steal in her to grind out when it's not all flourishes and fancy shots and she's shown she has got that actually can combine the two. That's what she did at Wimbledon. She didn't quite get over the line, but she came in as one of the favorites of the tournament and she got to the Wimbledon final. Big achievement that, even if she didn't win it, to come here without form and I would the underdog in two of them at the two previous matches could have been over was a poor head to head for her. I also thought she would lose against Shelby Rogers. She saw both of those two off. And now she's won another one against an informed player. When she's not necessarily absolutely on top form and I don't even think it's the best surface for. I think that's a real, really achievement. I agree. Totally agree. I just think in terms of her progressing any further, just think, you know, that little gremlin at the back of her mind might be a factor. I think it could be for sure. Caroline go saving brilliant could also be a I think the issue could be that like she had against her back in her, you got somebody who's just hitting you off the court. The way Garcia is going about a business. She swooping in for the kill with every shot. The other thing, the other possibility is in what I think jaber has done here is she's given herself the chance to suddenly flourish. You know, she's got through these Gritty matches, these untidy matches at times, and what if she suddenly hits a purple patch now, she could win the whole thing. And also, you know, her the line she gave to real ream about having achieved her target for this slam. Maybe that'll totally loosen her up. Yeah. Everything from this point on is bonus. We know how much she was targeting the Wimbledon title. Anything less than that, she changed her screensaver to a picture of the trophy. Yeah, you know, I love that, you know, stating your intentions, that's another thing that Americans talk about, isn't it? Be intentional, I don't know what that means. So you're telling me that the record is about 5 zero effective if you count juniors in the favor of jaber. Yeah.

"Sometimes just have to knuckle down and get the job done. But I think he's aware of that. And yeah, I feel like we're seeing him maturing more. At least over the last few weeks, you know, I'm not going to say, oh, he's definitely going to go all the way and win the U.S. open or anything like bold like that, but yes, certainly, if he can combine his brilliance with some discipline and keep it up, keep that serve going strong. Why not? Definitely one of those players to look out for. And a danger man for any other players who may be getting him early on in that draw. And perhaps someone who would be a danger woman, Joel, is the other Washington D.C. winner. Lyudmila Samsung, she came through winning this title three sets in the final over kayak and epi, who we know is very dangerous on her day. And yeah, this was Samsung's first title since the Berlin title that she won on the grass last year. And I think one of those players that really came to prominence last year when she won that title, but since then, she's been there all there about, but have been looking for her to kind of take it up to the next level again. And yeah, I had a great week coming through against Emma radar Carney as well. In straight sets and having some decent wins. So I feel that, you know, she could be not a dark horse to go all the way, obviously, but you know, I don't think you'd be wanting to play her too early on at the U.S. open, especially if she's getting into form and she was able to deal very well with the conditions as well. She's very, very fit, a well conditioned player. We certainly saw that. She made the most of kanepi kind of losing energy as the match went on. Again, really, really punishing conditions. I mean, just generally the whole tournament in D.C. was very hot. It was very humid and it did test a lot of players, I think, in terms of their conditioning. And I certainly think in that final Knapp, although she took the first set and had great points, I think, for a four two lead in the second set. She wasn't able to close it out and the more and more it went on, it really did favor samsonov and one thing I didn't realize about her is that although she plays for Russia, she actually grew up representing Italy up until kind of 2018. So I imagine the climate of Italy playing out there in the heat really has kind of helped her, I think, make sure that whenever she does come into these sort of attritional battles where the climate is against her and not letting that be a factor. I mean, we saw, for example, with Simona Halep, unfortunately, again this week, another player who has had issues in the past with dealing with the heat, you know, she had that memorable loss against Elise corneille in Australian open and she retired to callan sky in the second round, so it's not necessarily something all players can deal with, but yeah, I think her conditioning certainly helped to get across the finish line, but I mean, both of these players came with just absolutely leather ing the ball. They're both sort of out and out aggressive attack. I don't feel like there was any sort of defensive shot being played at all really. Certainly the first set and it was a great entertaining battle. I think both of those players can certainly one of the more experienced players on the tour, loves knocking out a top ten player certainly at a Grand Slam level, both of them, both the finalists I think are going to be dangerous in the USA and Sam sonova, who I always remember from this season for how far she pushed eager field tech in Stuttgart on the clay when she on tech was going through her ridiculous ridiculous streak and we were wondering when it was going to end, but yeah, her match against Samsung Stuttgart was she was pushed really, really hard there and she plays some really, really good tennis and again another player to watch, I think, going forward and yeah, not maybe a player who, you know, she's still not, I don't think going to be seeded in the Grand Slam in the U.S. open coming up, but yeah, another player just do not want to face, I think, early on because she's got some big wins under a belt. And I think her win against rad Carney was a second win against a top tech current top ten player. So she's playing with full of confidence at the moment. Yeah, definitely. Able to deal with kanepi starting the stronger in this match as well. She just hung in there and eventually just outplayed and outperformed her absolutely. And yeah, very, very durable player on the court as well. And when it comes to final, she's yet to lose one. So I like a player who takes their chances and just gets it done. Yeah, I mean, other sort of, I guess, results from this week. We had, well, we had Azarenka losing to a lucky loser from China. More than 303, not a great result. No, and then some sort of obviously went and beat Wang like 6 one 6 one. So I didn't know if something was going on with Vika there, not too short, but yeah, Chris obviously she'd be looking for the hard courts to really get her. Her mojo back a bit, you know, bread and butter, really. These sorts of conditions. I mean, she'll be she'll be very disappointed. She's had Visa issues and is not going to be in Canada. So again, a bit of a stop start, even though yeah, she had a good win, very good win, I thought against your strengths go forward in love in the first round, and it gave me that sort of hope, Kim, but that hope then turned into false hope with that. Yeah, that lost to lucky loser Wang in the quarters, which was a very surprising and straightforward loss for her. Yeah, absolutely. And Sofia kenin, we also saw her back in action and, you know, she lost in strays to Camilla. I think, you know, 7.661, that's a reasonable enough score line for your first match back. So we'll look to see what she does going forwards. But we also had the women's event out in San Jose. Which was the 500 event. So this was sort of the more elite event if you want to call it that. And that was one by a certain Dario kazaki. Playing Shelby Rogers in the final 6 7 6 one 6 two. So after dropping that first set kazakhi was very, very on the ball and just really elevated her game took advantage of Shelby Rogers kind of having a bit of a dip as you do in the second set. And yeah, from one all in that second set kazaki went on a bit of a role. I thought it was going to be Casa Kira with the other way around, really? Yeah, that second set, yeah, because that first set was seriously punishing stuff. I think it was 80 minutes. Shall we Rogers saved a set point? I think she was 5 three down. And it was a real roller coaster. And for me, when cassock keener lost that set, I wondered, you know, how is she is she going to be able to regroup from being in a winning position and it was really impressive in terms of how she shifted the momentum so convincingly and really kind of ran away with it in the end and she's a player who's, again, arguably having a little bit of a renaissance or a resurgence this season.

"About things on the topic of young female athlete and anything like mental health or whatever it may be. Yeah, I sort of thought that he basically said, he just sort of said, it looks like she was talking to what the pressure basically. But she later said she was. She pretty much endorsed his comments. When she did finally color speak later the next afternoon. So Emma makes up the top one 50 at this point and she goes to New York. After she plays a couple of terms, she plays San Jose, she plays Landis. I've been to London this film, actually. She plays the Chicago one 25 there, and then she goes to New York. And I actually watched her last qualify match against Myers Sharif. I was there that day, and she looked pretty good. I was like, oh, she looks pretty good. It's not when someone on a draw. I thought she had a good shot against Brady when that was the job and the draw initially came out and then Brady pulled out. But I think you covered well in the book that the inflection point or people sort of really took notice is when she beats the best hormone in the third round of that tournament. Love and one or one 11 one. I guess for you just to sort of a tennis observer like how much did that match change your perception of Emma? Well, I think it was kind of one of those sharp intake of breath moment really. I mean, it was I remember it. Well, I remember I was sitting my freelance colleague Steve Brenner, who's based in Miami and he'd come up to cover he's working for the sun mainly. And we were, we were seated there, and we were just like, jaws dropping. Watching it, you think, well, she's tall as sort of a bit of a David Ferrer type sort of play really makes you work. She wants. I think she'd won 29 matches by that point in the season. Good winds beaten Barty at the Olympics. Yeah. Really tough player to break down. And they're just smashed her. And I remember walking back to the media and I walking past Tim henman actually and him just sort of blowing his cheeks looking at me and she like, what was that? And he really, he looked at it, then he thought, she could keep playing like that. Who's going to beat her? I mean, she should have double bagel. It was extraordinary performance and just driving winner after winner into the corners. And at that point he really thought, wow, this is quite serious and this could get very interesting. What was the sort of just from it's already starting to Wimbledon. But the sort of media interest in her as her march went on as she gets to sort of walk through a jaw she beats chubby Rodgers again pretty easily. I think it all runs all of the other ones are pretty easy. Rogers in the fourth round bench it in the quarterfinals and soccer in the semifinals. Just how were things ramping up just on your Ed in terms of well, I remember editorial interest in person. Yeah, in terms of the media. The office back at home and stuff like that. Well, I remember I remember the Saturday night after that series we were having dinner in a midtown Irish bar, so I don't know, but a few that we watched the tennis and seeing Rogers beat Barty, and then you kind of, when that happened, it was pretty close match as I Thursday tiebreak, I think. And then you suddenly kind of see a path of no disrespect to Shelby Rogers, but she's not ash party, you know? And you suddenly you're kind of seeing a path and it wasn't a sort of sudden oh, let's get interested in emirate a car. It just gradually built and really by the second week, then Virginia waited turns up and it's just starting now to get to get real momentum. And it just grew and grew and by obviously by.

"Getting the sunshine double. Make it easy work of Naomi Osaka. And showing the value of momentum. You see a lot of players having big win, take off instead of keeping going, right? In order to get them on in the world, I always say, it's not just being good winning a title. It's also building momentum. And we see right now the value of momentum and how that has propelled her so much that she's only getting four games when we lost four games in a cent. And in Miami on the men's side, we've seen it's funny when you think it asks all the players who they thought would be in the top ten by the end of the year, a lot of players named Carlos alcaraz. And what do we see this week? We saw the young gun really show he's physically fit, able to stand with anybody, didn't have to play any of the victory. But shows that just how wide open this field is after the victory are gone, you see Casper Rudolph merch to a final of a 1000 and now you see alcaraz really open. So these two are just two of the many men who are waiting for the next era to emerge when Djokovic Rafa and Nadal step away and the field opens up. This week I'm in one of my favorite destinations..

"You see them out there practicing someone hitting a slice back can to them. It's probably a bit late the day before to try to get that right. If you haven't practiced it enough now, you're probably not going to get that right. Heck of a quote that really interesting and where do we all stand on that? I mean, he surely is right. The logic, the logic holds there, doesn't it? That it is such a difficult shot to deal with. That you surely not going to nail dealing with it the night before, are you even if you're an excellent grammar, but equally if she's totally one of a kind and practice time is so limited in tennis, isn't it? You've got enough season of about three days. Is it an economic and efficient use of your time to be doing practice sessions devoted to the ash bharti slope backend? I think he's absolutely right. I think he has hit the nail on the head there, really, in terms of why nobody is able to cope with it. I think he said today she's played balti before and the slice is better than ever. She said it's deeper, it's lower and she didn't cope with it very well today, Madison keys the same way nobody has cope with it in this tournament. What surprised me a little bit, maybe it didn't surprise me, but what I think players need to do when they face Barty is try and take the slice out of the game. And I think that's way easier said than done. But I was watching this match and my mind went back to Shelby Rogers against Ashbaugh at the U.S. open last year. Shall we roaches, I don't think it's as good a player as Madison keys, but she's similar in that her plan a is hit the ball hard from the back of the core. And what she did, I had this memory of watching her come back against Barty in the U.S. open last year. And I felt like she moon bald to the party backhand and got it up really high, which is a much harder ball to slice. Forcing Barty to hit the two handed backhand, perhaps, which I don't think is as good as the slice. And I went back to have a look at Chevrolet's press conference after the match at the U.S. open. And Rogers came into that match, having lost four times in the season against Barty. So she said, what made she was asked what made the difference that you managed to get a win? And she said, tonight, going on the court, I told myself I didn't want to lose in the same way. I lost the last 5 times against her. I tried to do things differently. I mixed in some high balls. I was super patient with her slice because she's not going to miss one of them. In the second and third set, she raised her level. She's going to do that. She's world number one. But I was wanting to hit the ball harder and harder, fine winners because that's the tennis I like to play. But that's what she wants me to do, what just said. So I redirected. I used some finesse and I problem solved, and I started hitting more high balls. Like I'm in the under 12, she said, playing defense. And she said, it ended up working. And now, obviously, that is credit to party because she's making players adapt to her. She's making them go out of their comfort zone if they've got any chance of beating her. And it's not surprising that Madison keys playing a grand stand or didn't want to play a style of tennis that wasn't her comfort zone. But I think that's what bharti is making you do. I think she's making players have to adapt because otherwise she's picking them apart. They can't deal with the slice. And I guess I just thought maybe Madison keys. Maybe she tried to do that today and just couldn't and maybe it was just too good. But that does seem a blueprint there that Rogers sort of told everyone about. And I'm a bit I'm a bit surprised that no one is not tried it a little bit more because these matches are running away from them quickly. And bharti is just lulling them into play in the style of tennis. She wants them to play. That is absolutely fascinating. I wonder if ego is a factor and that's not directed at anyone in particular, but if you are playing a big match against ash bharti, if you're playing in the latter stage of a tournament, you are by definition playing good tennis because you've had to get to that big match. You've been winning with your game. So to then have to take the mental step of going, oh but the game that got me here won't be good enough today. It won't be enough won't work. I have to do something completely different. It's quite an ego hit, especially in a sport where the trend, the psychological trend is to say, I'm going to focus on my game. I'm going to bring my best tennis. I'm going to focus on me. And I totally understand that. You know, focus on what you can control, not what you can't, et cetera. You know I asked you guys about Danielle Collins, not sitting down, it changes events today. And she said, I didn't really notice. Because I'm focusing on me, and I get all that, but also, this is a tactical game, a tactical sport, and I feel the same as Matt. You know, surely stones are being left unturned here. I've heard a lot from former players coaches commentators about how difficult it is not to play the sort of tennis you want to play, because that's the thing that feels good. I want to hit the shots that feel good to me. Not the ones that don't. Even if those might be the ones that impact the opponent more effectively. And that is, I think, a really difficult mindset to get into. My mind goes back to the example of when Andy Murray first hurt Rafael Nadal by trying to hit the living daylights out of the ball, which was completely anti what he'd done all of his career that we'd witnessed to that point, which was I want to move him around and I want to play slice and I want to drop shot and do the things that I like to do. But the thing is, he was getting his clock cleaned by Rafa founded out every time he tried to do that. So he did something completely different and suddenly it was like this brainwave moment that he figured out that he could do it. And it must be such a risk in your mind though to do that in a big match like a Grand Slam semifinal. When you don't want to make a fool of yourself, do either you want to hit the ball well, I want to feel like I'm hitting the ball well. You don't actually lose all of it. That's it, isn't it? Yeah, 2016 against Djokovic. Yeah. Whereas the temple that's the template going wrong. That's an example of it going the other way. And look, I'm absolutely not saying that if someone starts moving balling to ashby, they're going to win because I think there was a sort of mix of factors at play that led to Rogers winning that match. But I'm just interested that nobody's seems to be trying it even. And because parties proving that the current style that players are going in with, she's finding it pretty straightforward to deal with she's raised her level so much that she's just picking these players apart. It is fascinating to watch the way that the slices also a great defensive shot. That was a couple of times today. Keys really did nail the forehand, and Barty just slice it back, short, broad keys in and then picked her off at the net and she can use it that way..

"Com. The promo code is c. r. Fifteen with that. Set the place we have to start is with twenty eight year old shelby rogers. Three-set victory over top seed. Ashleigh barty of course coming into this event. Bharti was the prohibitive favorite now. Naomi osaka may have been on that tier for some. But you look for barda your wimbledon champion. She ripped through the western southern open. Draw on her way to the cincy title. She won straight-set matches in both her. First and second rounds in while she struggled to close out both of their matches she had beaten shelby earlier this season when the two of them played at the australian open shelby made the round of sixteen there of before getting knocked off by bardy three and four. She also lost to bardy in australia in the warm up event. That was a third-set tiebreaker. Win for ashley barty. But that was this was actually their fourth match of years. They also played in charleston. Bardy a three-set win on that occasion. Why do i bring all that up. Shelby rogers had seen ashley bharti's game already this season. She the rhythm of okay. This is what. I have to do with my footwork. Because yes a backhand slice return but the depth bardy gets on her backhand slice return and you know again how low that ball stays. Rogers had the cadence down from the start of how she needed to match up and how she needed to play this match. Against ashley party in the i set ashley barty had very little rhythm. You look at the numbers from that set. She made only forty. Six percent of her first serves seven. Winners against seventeen unforced errors. Meanwhile for shelby. Rogers she goes sixteen of twenty wins. Eighty percent of her service points. She converts two of her three break point. Chances doesn't face a break. Point three winners. Against only three unforced there. She was covering ninety seven point. One feet per point to bharti's eighty nine point seven. And that's where i want to start with shelby. Because while the winner totals aren't gaudy in this match for her eighteen winners against only twenty unforced errors. Fardie thirty seven winners. Thirty nine unforced errors but shelby moved better in this match than i ever seen her move in her career. You look for shelby. Rogers who again has had success throughout the course of her career..

In the round of 16 for Djokovic as he came from behind to be kind Nishikori to 67636362 after the match was over Djokovic with Darren Kale on ESPN. Was, uh, really amazing. Managed to be part of great experience. Uh, big credit to K who played on a very, very high level today. Tough luck for him, but, uh, he deserves a round of applause. And, uh, I always knew that he possesses a lot of quality has been on the door for quite a few years. But, uh, I must say that he did surprise me. With his level today he was he was playing very quick. It was stuff, you know, even though I won 33 and two second, 3rd and 4th said, I felt like all the sets were quite close. A few points decided, really a winner today, So you know huge congratulations for the great fight to him. That's all said to all of us that were in here was a fantastic tennis. Matching the level you're playing at is amazing. As you said, you're playing against someone that you know really well and you're respecting Keynesian, Corey. How did you write your performance? I don't think I started off very well. I was quite passive was too far back in the court. He was dictating the play. I was still trying to find find the rhythm. Find a temple obviously played much quicker and more aggressive than than my opponents in the opening rounds did so it took me a little bit of time to adjust these game. I think beginning of the second set already, you know, felt like I'm getting the groove back. I'm getting that. Rhythm back and you know, I was very pleased with where to focus, you know, maybe at some point, I wasn't. I wasn't at my best, but overall, I was determined. I was concentrated and that's what matters in the end. No that Djokovic moving on at the US Open Djokovic with the ESPN's Darren Cahill. Djokovic has now won 24 straight matches in majors. "Controversial it. I didn't think so either people really were like. Oh my god player safety no cameras we as we watch every match didn't like it can be commissioner final or anyone else in this bottom half sit. See i mean froze roland garros but then novak novak on heart is different. Yeah and sits hardest different. I don't know. I'm when the story of the tournament from a sort of results level and we'll wait and see but there's also lots of stories on the women's side starting at the top with increasingly reliable dominant number one ash bharti. Who sounds a sarcastic. When you say. And i know that you don't mean to be you know okay okay. Sorry like ashburton. Who's been really good. It's really been great and banking titles into racking tells me we have not number ones do send serena Bharti opens in the straw against fares monterey but kind of a fun in other fund person. Sort of having a not unlike murray. If i'm person have a shot at a gr big court again and stuff guaranteed other. Murray probably would have a better shot than the generally bigger named former champion stuff future hall of famer all that stuff randy murray generally likable guy. Not that far it was not But any party opened his than the battle of the clara's bureau and toss and then shelby rogers bruegel cure stay and cooter mantova as the next round opponents Shelly rodgers beat bengal in the us up in last year. I remember that was a fun. Run for shelby. Rogers rate really point saves against kavita in that term had some great matches women women twenty one. The open was so good that tournament slapped is the same but Yeah like shelby. In that that stackable match was absolutely nuts and it still wasn't probably shortlist best five match of the tournament and it was so good and shot. I mean it was a great run for shelby. I mean like i felt. I felt really really happy for her table to get something like that. But yeah Still a for a little bit the eighth. Yeah so i mean. I think draws really nice that ashes got a very nice like first week for opening week draw if the seeds hold and if certain results go one way joe okay Ben is drinking water. The audio picks up on annoys opening period but But yeah no so. I think that on the whole this is a very good eight. It's good i you know. Three matches three four matches rash a second week. Things can get ramp up very very quickly but that's not an unlike terribly her Her draw at at wimbledon. Either you know in in terms of like the first week. It was pretty straightforward. She made it a little bit more around about the needed to be in that first week. And i think that that's something with acid is not a pattern because it's like we don't have enough of the data points quite yet by there has been this trend with her of of you. Know almost serena asks if you get her get her in the first couple rounds because after that when she hits quarters she's pretty she locked in they me too. Yeah exactly like. I mean all all the big all the great big match players like right like they get up when in cincinnati for example with Ashley did not look good against watson in her opening match like heather really could've won. That match ash played big points. Pretty well And then her next match. I think she played a viga and she text her team and said like we gotta go level up like there's no way like i. We have to figure out a way to like you know. And she lost two games to ryobi down. Yeah it was unreal. Yeah to the point of i. I think i was listening to the body. Serve the kings of the north and and they were saying the scoreline was going in such a way at such a paste. People started tuning in thinking. Something was wrong like wait. Hold on what the hell is going on here because you know. And and that's ashley like when she plays those players that she just knows. I gotta get out by god now so here when you look at her draw the first the first four should be pretty good. But you know what four thrashing could get rematch against. Yeah that's interesting. That's she could get a rematch street hormone who knocked her out at the olympics. That's really really interesting. That would be an unseeded opponent. You know Connors in there we can talk about. I'll talk for brady. Yeah so brady. Why brady is probably not dangerous upon it as people might think. Correct yes I think that for gen. bruce jenner. Brady's thirteen seat obviously. And what a ridiculous like you know. Four months that jim brady had five months really of winning lexington making the semifinals playing the best map challenging naomi well not saying more in custody of challenger as well but that's rank as well. Yeah it's interesting. I as we say this because shot checking myself on something in my head for some reason it is so in. My brain just thinks it as an absolute fact that naomi lost one set of tennis last year in new york. I don't know why. I don't know where this came from. But somehow my sense was always her like my initial thing is like her dominant run to the us open title. and then i went back and looked dominant run. She thinks she was like three. Or four cents. I mean we're talking about here But for some reason like that's still like my instinctual reaction when somebody asked me what that what happened anyways. So yes so amazing. Run for. Jim brady that happens. She makes obviously her first major final australian open since then pretty much has been struggling with a foot injury. That just won't won't go away and talk to her a bit and cincinnati ahead of the tournament and she basically said yeah. It's really frustrating injury. It's she's like i. It's not an injury that i can just put a boot on and rest and it's fixed and like kinda just kinda have to keep working on it but i can still kind of play but kind of not and so i think that in cincy. She won her opening match which was a big win for her. You could tell like this emotionally. How much man. Who was like one of those late night matches on on on record and then i want to say it was against caroline. Rca about it could be wrong on that. But her her next match she was it was almost a dead heat match or she may have even been leading the scoreline by just a little bit and she she pulled the ripcord so that was just a week ago. She opens against amerada kanu. Who we'll talk about in a second by yup. It's just it's just really. I just i'm just really really feel for jan. Because she was just so on the up and up and Really physically just a. Yeah the foot just been really hurting her lot so unfortunately thirteenth seed you know a big underdog to to to not. I mean to make make even a polluters eating. Yeah i mean tough. But also she's got ta and who played so well. I was out encore. I've watched neurotic. Kanu i was. I was qualified choosing qualify. She went out. Yes i watch her qualifying in her final match and it's assured which was pretty excited for it and found on equalities sri also guys lucky loser..

"She's top twenty now in break percents. She's number two in hold percentage. All her success speaks for itself. Shelby rogers one of those players jamie does feel like when she plays her best again. She's going to get you to a tiebreaker. She's going to hit her way through some product. Just hit her way into some into some leads. Quite frankly and again. When you're playing world number-one ashleigh barty. Who's got all the pressure in that match. That's an interesting one. I i do think shall be player. Who can make a sort of ron yet. Potentially i will say. I would expect if rogers gets through. The first round that could match over would still be favored in that second round matchup hypothetically but still yeah is where you're coming from and there are also a couple of young players already. You mentioned right. A and who has jennifer brady on up settler but that whole section haley baptiste talented. Young american As well claire lou has been one of the rising stars this season. She's into the top one hundred. She's got sulawesi. in her. first round match. She wins that she would play the winner of saribas tormo and mook of i think that's the section where things get funky jamie. I also think it's interesting. We've gone this far in this section. We haven't said one word about olympic gold medalist twenty nine thousand nine semi-finalist player who has so many points to defend here in these final few months of the twenty twenty one season. That's belinda benches. And i actually thought bench. Despite losing that was a quarterfinal semi i think it was quarterfinal match to teichmann in cincinnati. I she's plan confidently again. There's a freedom and just you know. Got her game. Predicated ball hit ball. Big fantastic ball-striker not the most fluid mover but when she strikes fire she can go on a run. And i know she's not a dark horse per se in this section but it does feel like fern olympic gold medalist and perhaps this is just a byproduct of how many names have made runs here. I mean we just had assure she title as you mentioned for god's sake a bench a little underrated coming into this event. I i mean. I don't know if necessarily underrated but shattered right over. Sharer sure yeah but again. It's just there's so many different things to talk about. I mean yeah. I think best case scenario here. She has a pretty good draw. First couple of rounds. I think the first real test for her should be that potential third round against beulah. But she's got to be happy with where she's sitting in the drawn yet bench illegitimate contender minutes. The thing is you can sit here and talk about pretty much Anyone in here and make a case for him. So that's just simply the way it is and we know that benches can play at the highest level Do i see her. Coming out of this quarter. Is the one left standing no But yeah one hundred percent deep rent could be made by belinda vintage. So with all of that said. Let's get the predictions ashley. Barty section of the draw. We haven't said anything about each veontech as well. Iga twenty eight and ten here in twenty twenty one..
