He agrees some men you know. wanna take. He's a football coach without having to do with hear people saying what could go into shall shelby steele shelby harrison. I mean sherry. I'm having a give all up in your essay. There has to be a motivator for anybody to do anything anything that you do okay so you wanna ratio demand for ten years. Yeah fifteen twenty. Thirty todd has finished tell me he built a relationship with what your keys and he dumped they call him dad they know him as that they would never know another man and they might call him down and then you can do about it because that's going to go ahead y'all break up. They can't see him no done you. I said no. I'm not listen. "And get run-stoppers who they can teach to pass rush instead of pass-rushers so they can teach to stop the run which it kind of the crossroads. We're at with Chase winovich as a perfect example of when they do that. So Shelby Harris to me jumps out as that guy who could get Lawrence guys a free agent and he's somebody I think who you know can can play against the wrong can play against the rat pass can play tackle play and you can kind of wherever you need him. You can put him and he'll get the job done and we're in Sky played well last year, but he was pretty banged up and he started to kind of see the physical effects in Thirty-One isn't young for a guy that aged for for an NFL player and maybe he comes back and he in Friendly deal guy. He said he wants to come back, but if the pages want to upgrade to Fenway Park Be up front, right? She'll be almost said Shelby Miller probably has right Shelby Harris over Lawrence guy. Like that's a great spot where you pump some money in your upgrade to get a younger player. You don't you know, you don't lose any versatility or anything like that. That's a guy and you mentioned that he played super well against the Patriots last year. I mean, he's just checking every single box. I think he's absolutely gotta keep an eye on. Yeah, and another thing when she'll be here is to is that just to wrap it up on him? They really miss guys that could be could keep on the field in any situation than last year, right? They had Lawrence guy as a really good first and second down defensive line and had Adam Butler has a really good pass-rushing specialist. They had Dietrich wise really good pass-rushing dispatches Byron Cowart good run-stuffing special effects, right but didn't have guys that could play all three Downs consistently. This is an issue on the edge to with guys like Chase winovich and Joshua J. Really good pass-rush passing Downs players, but when they had to set the edge, it was a little bit more prob. At it Shelby Harrison the guy that you can put on the field at anytime anywhere and have him play at all. Three three Downs it all situations and they just didn't have enough of those guys on the line of scrimmage last year that they could actually play in any type of situation. So a guy like Harrison another one that I'll mention quickly is Matthew you Don from Baltimore who was franchise tag last year his probably gonna hit the open market this year just another guy that can do a bunch of different things and you can use them in a dump a bunch of different ways to keep them on the field and all situations you..

Byron Cowart Shelby Miller Joshua J. Adam Butler Chase winovich Harrison Shelby Harrison Shelby Harris Patriots last year Matthew this year Fenway Park Baltimore three first Lawrence Three second every single box

"Is still the most confusing player i've ever seen. Yeah no. I completely agree and maybe jamal murray is starting to string things together. Hopefully that is the case. He's starting to look up a little bit as well whole host of the whole show joining me. Your poll question today You saw reporting specific. Yes it's very specific Walk me through what. Your poll question is most shown watson most insiders you talked to our insiders zak. Stevens of dnv are broncos but several others. Cody rhodes to They've also the same thing. If you want to show watson the markets looking like it's gonna cost you three first round picks Two second round picks and a third round pick and player assed young stud defensive player while who is that for denver. It's not just if they work out a deal for justice. That's the guy bradley chubb. That's the only other name on that side of the ball. That's appealing as far as a young up and coming player. So the question is would you trade all that first rounders second to third round and bradley chubb for deshaun watson. Yes it's insane. I it's worth it because i'm all about the mindset of saying give me the proof commodity and now this is where i think we disagree you i if if they aaron rodgers or something like that you still that you think that whole is too much. He has way too much much for anybody. I mean patrick. Mahomes is the only guy maybe but you say proven commodity. What's prove commodity. Nfl superbowl winner to hasn't done that. But look at it. I mean that organization you could put. That's the one organization that. I think you throw tom brady. And he can't turn it around around denver what they have absolutely what absolutely with young offensive talent that he's young offense of talent that is on the denver broncos roster right now you get proven quarterback who can play the position. That knows how to win. But who's proven to. Sean is no who's proven on this offense for the broncos. No i the well you've got courtland sutton coming back off of an injury and all that but you know these guys come back they these. Some deathly are reminded gary harris. The guy hasn't been the same since her. Jerry jeudy i. You're the one that the you think that you're almost already ready to label him jolla. He's catching balls from the worst quarterback lionel but the placement of it and stuff like the on always. Fan noah fant absolutely and caja hammer. Tim patrick i mean tobacco tim. Patrick probably gone green bay. Probably take off. Good for tim patrick But then this defense is good enough to win you games right. They are good enough to be there. You just need a of your best defensive player other than justin seven just needed a signal-caller that can take care of it so now okay. So the biggest hole for the denver broncos right now is cornerback maybe inside linebacker. Von miller is not coming back. I mean that's not a fact yet but that's not happening. So now you trade bradley chubb now your whole your biggest hole is cornerback inside. Linebacker edge rusher. Because you don't have any of them so now you said your defense. Keeping games are they. Now i think vic fangio scheme is good enough i really. I really do believe that. I think the legally in and of itself i mean you know you looked at shelby harrison. What he nobody nobody shelby. Here's was not a household name in colorado before last year and he he shined in that role. And i think you just find those players and vache has proven that he can find the the people that aren't swearing but it will plug them in their denver's get the seventh most cap available in the league. You've got some money spent and if you do cut vons out you add more onto that and now obviously shows what shawn's contract we'll take a hit on that but you've got availability in free agency. Go after the guys that fit your role. Schematically will take that every day of the week over running the chances on on unproven commodities in the nfl draft. The tough part with free agency is. There's not a lot of inside linebackers available. Unless levante david or an edge rusher shaq barrett think. He's coming back to denver. So the thing is is when you look the free agent market. There's not a lot as far as standout defensive players. there's a few Lavar did great in denver. But do you see the broncos. Go now out. He's in his thirties. i think that you go for the plug and play people in those different roles. Assemble it that way and know that you've got a twenty four year old and shawn watson that will be there for ten years. That can too well but he thought he was going to be there for you. But you can't honestly say i mean the broncos are mess. They are say that they are as bad as what houston bad. But if i'm sean. And i'm going. I want to get away from a terrible organization. Why would i want to go to one. That's just a little less terrible. I don't think they're just a little is years get mad. Brady the history of the bra. You can take history. You could you could. That's all neat. And gooding put pictures on the wall for that but the last five years. The broncos have been joked one of the biggest joe. What's been holding them back last. Five years consistently. They don't have a quarterback their quarterback play. They're not to find a quarterback. All right he well. he's hail mary. Kay general manager. Coaching carousel right. Because you this all stems from one thing in the nfl. It stems from not having your quarterback you might have had it with who i mean you might brock. Osweiler might have might have been better if he would have stayed in denver but john elway screwed. That up was hannity the twilight films. He was good. He wanna playoff. Game didn't he. I'll just say yes. It's quarterback but it's a lot of other things more talk of the whole show twelve the to i say trade whatever it takes given the given the kiss kiss key to the city. That's trying to give him a kiss if you need to ever you're giving them illitch illitch garden and you're giving them everything. What else is valuable into any of the mountains. The he can have the mouse. Own the mouth shawn watson and denver..

deshaun watson tim patrick Tim patrick Jerry jeudy Patrick patrick aaron rodgers bradley chubb Von miller ten years john elway today justin seven Sean Kay gary harris second Stevens colorado Five years

"Option and say, Go ahead and go look. And then come back to us with your best offer and we'll see if we want to match it. Von Miller might not come back. Because for a lot of defense is he could be that missing piece. I'll just tell you that I'll just Tell you with the insight that I have into a particular organization look really good in red and yellow. So don't think that von Miller is going to come crawling back to the Broncos. So they got to make these decisions on Justine Simons and von Miller and even Shelby Harrison now And they already gambled with Shelby Harris once they weigh him. Go on the market didn't get anything. He came back. I can't imagine that's gonna happen back to back years. With Phillip Lindsay. He's a restricted free agent. He goes out there. He gets offers. He comes back, Bronco say whether they will or they won't matter. And I believe they also have to put some kind of draft compensation on him, too, and now will tell us a lot about how the Broncos feel about him. But I just think he's down on the list. I like Gordon and Lindsay far more than I like Gordon by himself. Or Gordon and Freeman. Even What? You got to have parties. George Payton. If you're John Elway, you gotta prioritize. Prioritize. And to me. Phillip Lindsay is fourth on the list. Potential Broncos free agents. Now, from a money perspective, it might be easier to bring back Phillip Lindsay. If I'm just doing it merit based on who I want back the most. Me. It's Simmons, then Miller than Harris. Then Lindsay and the only swap I would be open to hearing is if some of you think that shall be Harris. Is of more value than von Miller. I'm willing to let listen to that. Justine Simons is number one in Phillip Lindsay is Number four. And that does not change. 5 to 2987 to take your thoughts on that. I'm curious if faced with that. From a salary cap perspective that you would rather Just have drew walk back if you're somewhere that's the non in love with drew lock. And you would like an upgrade. Given what all of that will make cost the Denver Broncos. Would you just say that I would just go with walk another yet? Never mind. I didn't really want walked back. I'm curious. If the price tag now hearing it laid out, like like that is too high. 5 to 298721 more drive.

"It's sure great to hook up with you. Thanks for the time today. Likewise, Mike, it's great to hear from you and cross our fingers and hope and pray that next year when we're doing this, it'll be back in studio. Absolutely no doubt about it. Speaking of Christmas and traditions You have been well traveled throughout your life, But as you think back to your childhood, is there a Christmas memory that stands out more than others? Oh, wow. That's a That's a wonderful question. Mike and it's Z. There's there's not a specific memory, but I think back to the traditions I grew up in a Richmond Virginians. Love was 11 years old. And, Ah, you know, this is back when it's going to the downtown department store to see Santa Claus was still a still a big thing and the department store the time it's long since gone out of business was named a Miller and roads and it was in downtown Richmond, and they had An entire floor of their building that was devoted to all things. Santa Claus and kids Christmas and They used to kind of market it as the had the real Santa Claus. I'm everyone kind of said that, but they went so all out with it with it with, for example, there'd be a lot. You wait if you like. Two or three hours was like waiting it in and out. And if you stand in line, but sometimes the Santa Claus would go take a break. And, uh and he'd come back and you hear they set up to where you could hear a sound that sounded like reindeer on the roof. Get away. It's he said, And then a little trip to make sure that Santa always knew your name. They had like a snow queen who would greet you and that you'd say your name, And then you'd walk over and sand would call your name like Oh, my gosh, had standing know my name, of course, and had a little radio receiver in his ear that you could be couldn't see. So they had this huge, elaborate set up. You have lunch down there and they serve a They called it like a t withstand this sort of thing, And there's even a little up they had, where there are all these items that were like $5 or less, and your parents will give you money and you go in and buy something for your parents. They wrap it up for you. Parents had no clue what it was. It was just it was so elaborate. It was always a big deal to go downtown. At some point December and taking all this, and it's why I find myself now trying to do as much as I can. For my daughter who's eight years old. It kind of brings stuff like this to her Christmas, so it just It was an annual tradition. And it was so wonderful. I have so many memories of going year after year. Yeah, no doubt about that, Andrew Well, said. Andrew Mason of D N. V are with us. On hometown holiday, a Colorado Christmas. We always like talking some Broncos with you, Mace. And obviously it's all about drew lock when thinking about the Broncos going to 2021, much as it was at the end of last year, going into 2020 season. Granted, they're still a little bit of of game action, assuming through is and stays healthy. So as you look at where he's at what do you think the Broncos think about his development this year? And what do you think the strategy will be for the off season? I think they would have preferred that he do a better job of getting the fundamentals right because you can point it plenty of times in the season. When it seemed like kids, But work reading of defense's etcetera looked your aggressive little bit and the interesting thing enforcement Trulock is having watched virtually his entire Entire college career at the University of Missouri. Since that was one of the schools that when I went to The thing that kind of come back to when I watch him is that everything that he has done wrong? This year is something that was evident at the zoo and was part and parcel of him dropping. To the second round. Despite having a lot of attributes in his favor us far is what you're looking for then quarterback So you were hoping he'd break out of some of those bad habits and certainly that that has been a struggle. At times. I think part of it is you know when we're all under duress when we're all In situate one and in in life were in situations where we're kind of having to deal with the chaos of the moment. We do tend to revert back to habits that Aaron Grain to things that we know what I think That's something that drew walk has has struggled to get to get past and the question is Can he develop their I think as the Broncos head to the off season here after these couple of games, what they end up doing, it's going to be once again. Kind of the fascinating thing of the off season. The quarterback position. Um do they believe that true that drew a lot could still be the guy? And I think there are glimpses. There are flashes of brilliance, but I think they would be unwise to not go into next season with it least a hatch. And there are various kinds of hedges. You can You can look at the Tennessee Titans back in 2019. They had Marcus Mariota coming back for fifth year and they trade for Ryan Tannehill. You have a hedge like that They're going to be guys. Sixes. Jamis Winston, currently backing up in New Orleans, Sam Donaldson, with the currently with the Jets, for of course of spent season struggling and are in the sweepstakes for a quarterback of the top of the draft right now. Mitchell True Boesky, who played for the victims, your team in Chicago. There are young guys like that. That's similar to Tannehill in terms of resume at the Broncos could look too. Or they could say, how do we get the best kind of veteran in there to be a venture? And then if you lock doesn't take the next steps, then we move to that guy. Mace. The injuries to impact players have been a story line this year. I don't see how you talk about the 2020 season without at least a reference to not only the number of injuries but the number of injuries to frontline players. How do you see it? You can't talk about it without that now. Is it an excuse for everything? Not necessarily. I mean, you have some teams that have dealt with danger that injuries that I never in the same category as the Broncos in terms of volume, I certainly the 40. Niners, for example, are dealing with his many significant injuries. The Broncos have Philadelphia Eagles also dealing with plenty of injuries. I think we are certainly talking about the injuries being the difference for this team between being at minimum on the fringes of the playoff race and sitting where they are right now, which is unfortunately playing out the string largely here, so you can't tell the story of this Broncos team without injuries, and you also can't really make a good plan for next year without accounting for the fact that you're going to get people back When you're looking at this team. It's outlook for 2021. You're plugging Courtney suddenly What does that do for the wide receiver corps? You're you're getting you want change back it right tackle. And even though tomorrow Dotson provide some stability. How would the early part of the season have looked if if James had been playing In September or tomorrow, Dotson had started and you are figuring out what to do with von Miller. He's under contract. There could be a restructure their but clearly you missed them. And you like this like to see him back. And that's no. The other thing about the injuries is, you know things some of the decisions that come into play because the Bronco's closing the season about your O'Casey injured since a week three, closing this season without a jape way serving a suspension, So what do they do there? Because Those guys are on contracts that don't have guaranteed money left and in secondary, not cornerback, But in the secondary of justice. Simmons is contract coming up to the Broncos tag him again or try to get a long term deal done on the defensive line. You may have liked to go with Shelby Harrison give him him the money instead of General Casey up front because of the way Shelby has played this year, so the injuries that they lead to some decisions here going for that. Take the next 2.5 months. Very, very critical. Once again for the Denver Broncos should be interesting as they always seem to be always seems to be interesting in the offseason, Mace, you are absolutely the best wish you and the family the marry, ist of Christmases and all the best in the new year. "I said, break on the story there of Muti getting his first play in the National Football League, which you know, you know, the big fellow was way fired up about seeing Seeing him play yesterday. Well and then and then he backed it up, and I haven't gone to see if Profootballfocus gave out their grades, but just listening to the game or certainly watching it, and he's early in the game. He's out, pulling on runs to the left to the right and making his presence felt for a guy that was going against a top 10 pick and Derek Brown. Movie Muti more than held his own and you heard Drew lock praise him. After the game today, when he was on with with Logan and Louis. He talked about the old line play mentioned Calvin Anderson, who had to step in last minute for Garrett Bolles, But you have three new starters I get. Elijah used to be a starter, but three new starters working together to go with the other two young guys in the second year guy riser in a rookie and cushion Barry to give up one sack and the play as well as they did against a good defense. Get the Carolina may not be going to the Super Bowl. Brian Burns was number number 16 overall pick and as good a edge rushers there is and I just mentioned Brown Shack, Thompson and they've got ballers over there on that defense. So yeah, I think The Broncos are gonna have a good problem on their hands, trying to figure out how to get three linemen for Lyman in the three spots, But Muti certainly deserves more playing time after what we saw the other day. Okay, There's been a little bit of pushback. I've been getting a little bit of push back online about what's happening with Phillip Lindsay and his carries. And why hasn't there been more love for him? Well, I'll start off by saying the way that you show people that you love them in the NFL is by paying them any word on whether or not the Broncos have offered a contract to Phillip Lindsay. Have not heard that the only the only name that I heard and our NFL insider from Broncos 100 mentioned all right in our insider segment yesterday that you know I do on the pregame mentioned that the Broncos have already begun discussions with Shelby Harrison would like to get a deal done. We know Justine Simons is a priority. Again for everybody listening. They cannot negotiate with Justine Simons until after the season because he's on the franchise tag. He was actually their priority ahead of bowls, but they can't negotiate with just until the until the year is over. So Shelby Harris is there. Next target if you will to try to get him the sign a deal before the year's over. And maybe sooner than that. Maybe it happens quickly. Is bowls. Did s O to be something to monitor, But I have not heard about anything for Lindsay. As for the way the usage gets broken down, you know, I look at the snap count ever every Monday morning, and obviously I'm up early. I tweeted it out a little later in the day to day. But He was on the field for 29 snaps. Melvin Gordon for 28. You can't be more 50 50 than that. And by my quick math, we know I'm not great at Mass. That's one more play that he was on the field, and Gordon Gordon might be a little banged up Phillips a little banged up But you feel yourself with the operation. By the way, That was that was one is correct. He was on the field for 29 plays, and Gordon, who was 28. It wasn't 29 to 45. So I understand the frustration and I think Phil's as dynamic of guys, They have a lot of like seeing K. J Hammer. Touch the ball a lot. Um, so I don't know what the long term plan is there. But it certainly doesn't seem like to this point. They're ready. Tow tow offer him a deal even similar to the one that Gordon has right now. I don't know what a what a multiyear deal would look like for Philip right now, By the way, a Justine Simons going to join us have 505. Today he is again the NFL Man of the year, a nominee from the Denver Broncos for the second year in a row, and we'll talk about that game yesterday became self. Some comments from true like today, where he talked about the The relationship he has got with his backup, which obviously is a little bit different than the relationship that drew like head with Joe Flacco. But this relationship that he has a Brett rip in, he says, is We're truly helping him mature in this game. Yeah, And it's pretty interesting because they're basically the same age on do they came in together. They became really close in the off season leading in the last year, And then Drew goes, goes down early in the preseason or middle of preseason and Mrs Obviously, those 1st 10 weeks he and ripping became even closer. They came in every morning and every afternoon they were watching practice and going through it on the virtual reality simulator. I think I told you this on air, but I was told by High place Broncos source last year that they could envision Brett rip in being Gary Kubiak to Drew's John Elway. No, that's saying a lot about Drew. Did it really be the guy like John Elway or even close to that, but where you're not even thinking about another quarterback for for a decade? Plus, but they're that close at the same age like I mentioned that They work really well together and rip. It has to be able to play well enough like he did against the Jets. I know the Jets aren't great. Obviously, they're the worst team in football, but he went in to do what you're supposed to do and threw the ball over the yards and picked he wants back. But could they be that? 12 punch that grows together and punch maybe isn't the right word, but just the the complimentary piece that Brett can say anything to drew. And it's going to be the right thing to say to do it the right time and clearly, that's the relationship they have. It was nice to hear, Drew kind of lettuce behind the curtain a little bit on that yesterday. Okay, uh, has to lock down enough from the, uh, from this past football season so far, TOC a cure that the Broncos won't be looking for a new Quarterback next year..

"Game because I'm kind of throwing out that Saints game that that was just as an aberration or blizzard game last year. You just just laugh it off. Burn the tape Move on, but the other two games It looked like a team heading in the right direction. The dog if you would take the dolphins in case anything back to back, old son, you look like a team of the right trajectory. One more text here from Cuban Benny Lock is that outfielder who can't hit back stop from warning track, not second base or catcher. Just the backstop. We could all see the arm strength. Oh, yeah, He's got tools. He's got tools for days. That's it. You know what I've said this about Drew lock from day one. From the moment they drafted him. I said the same thing. And that is, I hope that the player that drew lock is and the player that drew lock can be meat. Said that there's an exact quote I do because I think it's time to get to that point. I hope the fan base has the patience to let him get there. And the reason that I keep invoking Derek cars. That's that's the closest comparison is a player. In the same trajectory. Air Corps sucked. His first season is the story shocked. I got better when he was given time to grow and be consistent. Threw interceptions. He threw bad balls. He was making the same mistakes Trulock was making. There is precedent. For a quarterback getting over this? I don't know. The Drew will. But I want to lay all the facts out in front of you that there is precedent for that. Our poll question at K Away Colorado. Do you take solace in the fact that Broncos lost in a close game with the Chiefs? When everyone expected a block something like we're talking about earlier you went into that game. With sort of an expectation of on national TV or team might get embarrassed, and that's what the Chiefs have done to a lot of teams embarrassed him. Broncos were certainly not embarrassed. They kept it a game all the way into late in the fourth quarter. If they go for it on fourth and three and midfield who knows? Who knows? Maybe these go down score touchdown. Maybe the defense gets an interception. I mean, who knows at that point, but Unfortunately, the Broncos came up a little bit short. What do you think the results are on this right now? You have. Yes, yes, a good stepping stone. I'm kind of disappointed or no, There's no moral victories like one in three. Probably one of the most votes. That's true. I hope the number one guarded the most votes. But my cynical me says three did. One has garnered the most votes. 46% just pretty good. Actually, If you think about the three options, it's got 46%. The No moral victories has got 30 so pretty substantial. Okay. And then the people they're kind of in the middle that I'm kind of disappointed in 24, But you know what you care. The last thing you want to see our any fans of a team and different being ambivalence or lethargic or apathetic because that's when you really have lost the fan base, But we we talked to Broncos fans every single day. I don't get that sense from any single one. They all seem very dialed in wanting to know how to get this team back to the prominence that it was, and that's why we keep coming back to the process like that. You can't change the result. The result is what it is. The Broncos wanted change result They're gonna have to figure that out. But in the meantime, we get to analyze the process and hopefully find solutions there. The other part of this is you can't just magically speed it up, and that's that's I think what we're trying to convey on this show. The reason for patients. You can't just throw a turkey in the oven. Crank the oven up to 500. Say you're gonna cut down the cut down the cooking time. You're gonna have a dry gross bird at the end of it, And I don't want to hear your jokes about what did you expect those birds anyway? Thank you, And I set myself up. Shel Shelby Harrison here we can. He's easily do that. We could do that. Look, you can't do. Okay, fine. We'll do it with steak..

"Oh, God, guys, just hungry for opportunity, So it's fun to see those guys get the chance and zeal. I d start with the Pacers game you to test it. Together picking and stuff like that, So we go see what we see what those guys do this weekend. I've decided to go out there and big Dreamland Jones fan I like. I like this game a lot. I think he's going to be really good players for this team. This could be a coming out game for him, too. I mean, that. That has not been good so far. But this could be one that he puts a signature stamp on and says, Hey, I'm your starter next to you don't need to pay one of these vets, so This could be a big game for him. And don't forget the Broncos just around this time last year. We're having to shift things around in the defensive line, and they ended up stumbling into what was a really, really strong starting defensive line. Now, of course with Derek Wolf, But you had Shelby Harrison the end and then you had Mike Purcell. It knows There's no there's no saying that you can't still work things out with Keyshawn Williams and Sly Williams there at the nose tackle and get as we said great production from Draymond Jones, the Marcus Walker. Maybe in a little bit. Ah, bigger role. Maybe we see something more from him. I mean, I think that it does look somewhat bleak, knowing that without drill Casey without Mike Purcell, probably without Shelby Harris. And you're going against the alleged Falcons in a game that you know they're going to try to establish Todd Gurley and Hill. You know that that's what they're going to Dio. So I can understand some of the the worry there, but they've got some players and I we've been saying for a while now. Week we heard from so many offensive lineman about Mick tell Vinny Game during training camp. There are so many guys that really were impressed by that guy kept they kept named him over and over again. Even the vets Guy's been around a while. You know the first thing they did we start asking because that's that's what we do. We start asking corners who's the toughest receiver? He's gonna get back in this game, right? We started asking that kind of stuff. Make Calvin and the knock on him is anchoring in the run game, you know, functional strength, NFL strengthened and function running, which is odd for a guy his size, But you know true. And but he has an incredible first step explosiveness for a guy his size. You just don't think he's going to be as fast as he is, and he may be the guy who does get a sack or two in this game. Against on Atlanta offensive line. It's not all that great now No, Ledbetter said that they're better pass pro, then run block and I agree with that. But, you know, I think that they have a Broncos have a good shot at getting maybe 56 action his game off his line. It's not very good. Yeah, they will see you're given up Sex. Yeah, their 18th and league like they have given of 17 sacks on the season. I'm kind of in in Broncos territory here. The Broncos have 20 sacks on the air, but you get to keep in mind. Some of that was A quarterback that held the ball in a long time, Jeff Driskel. Like some of that sum Total ended up being Jeff Driskel. Hold the ball, So I mean, some of the numbers get reflected that way. But, yeah, I think that there is going to absolutely be an opportunity,.

"There is some kind of understanding about Ultimately, the Denver Broncos will one day have to go through the Kansas City Chiefs if they're going to get back to where they want to be, But this is not the time. Or at least they shouldn't be acting like this is the time. You allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised with the results on Sunday. I actually kind of like the Broncos plus 9.5. Snow in the forecast for Sunday. We know that wasn't drew locks, friend. Late last year in that game, where Patrick Mahomes had hardly any troubles, But generally, if you have snow, it's going, Tio winds going to come with it and things were going to get slowed down just a little bit. I do think Sunday Could be potentially closer than people think. It will be. And some of that has to do with the way that the Broncos defense has been playing. No, I don't put a ton of faith in Dreux lock. And the broncosoffense. I'm you know, to be able to necessarily match Mahomes. And the chief's point for point in these kind of conditions. But I think what the Broncos have done over the last couple of games is at least show. And they've really been showing this all season. They're very team that has been closer in these games. Then maybe you would have expected especially game like Pittsburgh Once Drew Locke went down. You thought that was gonna be a wrap in the Steelers were going to run away with it, and they didn't. And then the Broncos beat the Jets. They beat the Patriots. This is a team that has tended to be close. Even in the Tennessee game. It was close. And I know close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades and nuclear wars and all that kind of stuff. But To be able to Stay with Kansas City for at least a half. Maybe even three quarters, I think would be a huge sign. Of the development in the improvement of this this Denver Broncos team. So I guess in that way it is a measuring stick. Game. It is a chance to show If you've gotten Any closer. I don't think anyone realistically expects the Denver Broncos to pull this football game out. But they lost 23 to 3. Last time it was Lakhvi Mahomes. There's a lot of room for improvement in that result and even going back when Drew lock wasn't playing in the first meeting. That was a blowout as well. So I do think and and it sounds like such a defeatist attitude and I don't mean to You know. Come off that way. But you guys, you guys get it. Right. T sit here and talk about You know if the Broncos do this, and that and the other they might pull this. I mean, what's the Like. Yes, There are scenarios in which the Denver Broncos win. There are things that the Broncos Khun Dio in orderto win this football game, but Will they be able to do it? Again. I You know I'm going. I'm going to end up You know, eating crow or having High on my face on Monday if the Denver Broncos win either way. Whether I lay out five ways that the Denver Broncos can beat the Kansas City Chiefs or whether I say the Chiefs won by 30. If the Broncos beat the Chiefs. You know you guys will come at me on Monday, and that's fine and I I get it. That's Part of the deal here. I just want to see the Denver Broncos be closer, and I think that's what you should want to See And to Shelby Harrison's point to see, eh? Now three weeks of a consistent effort. Three weeks in a row. Of playing. Pretty darn good football on the defense of side. You know the next two games that the Denver Broncos have after this are winnable Football games. The Chargers and the Falcons. These are potential wins for the Denver Broncos. So It will behoove them, it would behoove them. To string together three good games, even in Defeat even in double digit defeat. Just building that consistency. It's so important when a team is rebuilding to be consistent even if You're losing close. Or on Lee beating bad teams. If you're consistent. In your effort and consistent in your execution each and every week. Then it will start to pay dividends. Just this is not the week where it's going to pay huge ones. 5 to 2987 to take your thoughts on Chiefs and the Denver Broncos. We got fantasy football talk coming up at the bottom of the hour with Matt Wiley of the Gazette first, Let's take a little look at traffic.

"The show. We have Malik Reed in the next segment. Also Michael Muthiah right out to that. So one hour from now, I won't stick around for that. Both those guys that fantastic games bleak. Reed had too late sacks, and it was funny on Vic Fangio today was asked about Malik Reed. And he kind of gave this like, Well, yeah, I mean, we sent extra people and he took advantage of the opportunity. It's like, okay, well, It looks like I think I understand how in your mind Well, that's exactly what should happen. And you are a defensive grew ruin such. But in this case, he still had to make the play like I don't know, I would say always, like defensive from will agree. But there was in that moment when he was like, Well, we said all these extra people somebody had to make the play. It was like, Yeah. And that person was bleak. Read it in a game of give a little bit love. But it comes back to the thing that a lot of players world kind of was a complaining. Grousing about is probably a better way Last year during training camp is because, ah little bit tough on the compliments. So, yeah, it is a tough love situation, although he did give Shelby Harrison loved today, so you'll have the best he's ever been around, if not the best he's ever been around in terms of being able to shot block right there at the line, not passes down. He's very good at and they they usually anecdote on the On the broadcast when we've known for a while shall be. Harris was the leading shot Walker in his high school back in the day, so there's a record setting shot blocker back then he just got a knack for it. And you know, here's the thing about Blocking a ball at the line of scrimmage. People go better passes. Whatever is against this basically, as good as a sack of fact for no yard loss, you know, I mean, it's the same thing. It's a pass rides the past disruption. Any completion stops the plane from happening. League leading 11 passes batted down with Linus cribbage in the last two seasons thinking next closest has like seven. Nobody else has more than seven right since the start of the 2019. In addition to Saxe gets, those things is one. That's an impactful pass rush. That's a win, you know, And I think those kind of like numbers was well hidden. Things like that often times go unnoticed or under reported, But they're huge impact differential in what you're doing. I mean, e think Broncos fans noticed, knows Thie impact because of what happened with the Raiders game last year and how you want it? You know, and you could kind of you can kind of conceptualize it through that. But the reality is that you know, fans leaguewide tend to kind of gloss over things like that, and they go for sex. Your stats like like sacks. The reality is a pass deflection like there's just as good as Ah, no yard lost sack. If you want to get on and react to the game, 303713 85 85 or 56 16 0 on our text line. Rajiv from New York City says When will Elway extend shall be a great question at this point. I mean, what are what other argument Can be made about his impact on this team. Yeah, I don't think the Broncos like to extend guys in November usually get the Purcell deal done just because they got that one down, and they're trying to figure some of these other deals out in November. They gotta figure out where polls Phil wins. He's going to get the tag. They gotta figure Justine Simmons. They've got to figure out. Shall we harass witnesses an offseason thinking the right But they still need to have a plan going for basically bowls and Shelby or the next two. And then Simmons just, you know, figured that out. It's a yes no. Or you keeping Shelby you keepin garret? If not, then you know, that's that money that you ve allocated for Simmons. And what's the plan Beyond that? So it's a It's a several faceted plan here. Plus, you want to roll over as much as you can next year. And have the cap money available next year because it's going to be a light cap here. So you want to have the tactical advantage next year where you could able to stuff is much money into that into that, as you can. S so that's you know, there are other considerations here is that you know, people are always wondering why the immediacy of a situation Why not get it done right now? That kind of stuff, but There are reasons for that. You want to go on just a little bit further and kind of see something's what do about drill. Casey. I think you asked him to take a haircut. Yeah, I think you offer him some guaranteed money in exchange for taking a haircut. You get me extension. I mean, right now, I think he's out of guaranteed money is not a guarantee has to be. Yeah. So I'm just looking at it right now. He is out of guaranteed money. So I think I think you're in a little bit of a numbers this year. You know, 11.6. Yeah. I think you asked him to come down about eight or nine. And I think you want to do is you extend that is on a three year deal. And you guarantee the money that he would get next year over the course of three seasons, So he has the chance to you know that way he gets that money has a chance to make more. And you go from there. I think that's that's the way you offer that that gets you that frees up money for you. You know that brings your total money. And you're gonna do it because you four for four million more to work with, and at four million more private difference in keeping Shelby or not, because Shelby's probably gonna cost you about a million her. And you probably going to a three year deal there, too. Garrett's probably gonna be in the double digits. I love that. And I really love it, too, because it allows you some time because I don't think you know, we don't know the full picture.

"At Broncos lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 28 to 10. In a game B k that I actually said to Ah, Alfred, it didn't even feel like it was that close. It was an 18 point difference, but I mean, it felt like it was a way more lopsided. Win for Tampa Bay. It just never felt like the Broncos were in this game. Well, and I think it started early with that walk and you give me the best quarterback of all time, Certain. Certainly a guy that people call the goat plenty and ah bunch of pro bowl receivers and probable type tight ends. 10 yards to go score a touchdown right off the bat. It feels like you're already behind the eight ball, and that's kind of how I felt all day. So even though they kind of kept the Bucks offense in check, and in some respects, certainly in the run game when you think about what Leonard Fournette that a year ago and that's even give the ball as Muchas as Jacksonville did when he came in. The Bucks are able to do enough and the Broncos, I think, obviously helped that but it just It felt uninspired. Kind of from the get go and judges. You are in the building as a fan, And so even though it's only 5700 instead of 76,000, you could still get the sense that everyone there that wasn't wearing. Bucks here that had to be all the Bucks fans west of the Mississippi. There can't be any left. There were a crab time there were a ton of bucks fans at that game yesterday had had, like Williams jerseys and Mike Alstott. You're song of those people grabbed it right. They like our old pal James Gomez, or at least riel bucks fans. But come on, There were definitely some Brady bucks fans to I don't know it just it felt it felt deflating. Really, from the get go. And that was the offenses. Inability really do anything. Okay. Are there any other injuries that that that that maybe we haven't talked about in great detail that could end up being a issue on Thursday night. Well, Austin Collie TRO is now on I R with his hamstring. So you brought in two veteran linebackers, and I know clearly was not. The veteran Mark Barron is and they're not. It'll help you one on special teams on each team's bear going to play or in the passing game. And I think that was a sort of the hope with most Pelletreau and barren ah, that they would be able to cover a little bit because we saw Josie Julen coverage yesterday. And even when he's right there, he does get flagged in a perfect catch by O. J. Howard Ah laser throw from radio. He still feels overmatched, And that was the main reason they brought Gordon. It wasn't helping in the run game. They like Julie and I are Alexander Johnson running down downfield to tackle in the run game. It was in coverage. And so the collector injury while it's not a major, one that now brings gosh Watson up, and he's probably limited coverage as well. I think we've seen that maybe their going to throttle Joe Jones out there a little bit more. He obviously continues shows athleticism jumping over Long snappers. But the collector injury was a major one is just add one more to the list. But the KC one really hurts because you're already down Draymond Jones of the Marcus Walker. So does Sean Williams, who hadn't played a game since 2016 has been cut eight or nine times, including three times by the Broncos. He's got to play a whole lot more alongside Shelby Harrison might Purcell next week. Okay, Phil blends. He's one of those players that can actually spark an offense in a big way in when you see that Broncos only carried the ball, I mean, the only brand 10 run place. In the whole game yesterday eight carries by Melvin Gordon for 26 yards, this screams where the hell is Philip Lindsay? And when's he going to be ready to play well, and he's certainly trending in the right direction. Vic said that he was going to be on a snap count if he does play practiced Friday, and they think that he's getting a little closer. But The snap count hold the idea whose, I guess in theory already on snap count, cause you're splitting time with Melvin Gordon. So it shouldn't be that hard to manage us that count. But do you have someplace in there? Can you get the screen game going with them or get him out on the edge? Also, you have to take into consideration the that life turf and is it is, that is the Niners described it. Obviously, they didn't have the injury. The rash of injuries like that had the week before against the Jets yesterday against Giants. But they were down nine starters and still went in there and won a game at that life, I guess two weeks in a row as they lost a lot of those starters last week, so if the Broncos I get they weren't in the Super Bowl last year like the Niners, what they think they're a good team. They have to go in there and win this week, and hopefully Philip Lindsay's at least a small part, if not, Ah, big partying at the ball in his hand and make some plays down, because if he was on the field on that, Royce Freeman catch That's Philip lives instead of Royce Freeman. Odds are that's a house call, but it was a nice big catch for 28 yards, but that's all right. It should have been a touchdown and it was drawing. I was talking to Joe Joe about it. This is the one with the linebacker fell down. I mean, got up and then still caught him. I mean, he got up and walked him down. I mean, come on. I mean, ridiculous. I mean that that that just shows you how much speed they have. In Tampa at the linebacker position and the lack of speed that we have without Philip Lindsay in the lineup. Piquet windows this team head out to New York for this game. There had not Wednesday afternoon, just like a normal road game, And so they'll get there. They'll be sequestered in their very likely New Jersey hotel. I feel like the teams normally stay in Jersey, not in the big apple and look these road games. I mean, you are locked down..

"Not just teaching the teaching the coaches, right? They they've they've already established a bit of that system in place where it's about sort of filtering from the individual to the group to the team to to the organization they've gone back to those kinds of details. And that's something that again, we've been around enough teams. It's not always like that. And that doesn't as it goes back to the original question. How can they be a contender division? We don't really know those. Yes, they can be. But but those are all things that were being applied before. And so you say just by the argument of it's different. And therefore, we hope it's a little bit better. Sure. It can't they can't be a good team this year. It could also take a couple of years. And I don't think it's a bad thing either. But but the thing about it is that what decisions do you have to make after this year for this doesn't work if this integration doesn't work you made a lot of changes a lot of changes if this. Interational work. How long do you run with that? You can't keep changing coaches every two years. Well, right because then you the Cleveland Browns of five years ago, and nobody wants to come work for you. And I think that's I think that's you know, one of the reasons they went the direction that they win the steady hand experience zig zagged every else was looking for the next McVay. And they're saying now, we're looking for, you know, Vic Fangio we're looking for defensive primacy. And I I think it's interesting because the identity of this team the next year or two is going to be an offense of identity. You look at all the talent the youth on this team. The the the young superstar towns really offense inside of the ball, you gone out and got court and Sutton patient health and Philip linzie, Royce Freeman Sheldon riser Connor McGovern starting to come into his own you paid for a second contract offense attack. John james. Yeah. You got Joe flacco. But you also draft drew lock Noah fan. I mean, the the identity this team is going to be explosive offense. It's the pendulum swinging back the other way that's not saying you don't have young talented defense Yatom show flashes. He needs to learn how to close that place, Bradley, Chubb. Obviously, look very good in his first year, you kind of gifted that. One Josie Joel instinctive rotational linebacker the athleticism to cover with the ball. But in terms a run funnel guys been pretty good. You go look along the defensive line and Shelby played. Really? Well, I don't think he's an anchor knows. But he's he played really well had had a great season last year. Now, you can come back to that. There's a point there that is a slight concern about the run stopping ability of the D line that that I think, you know, we don't really know. But that's something that that can be monitored a little bit that they had a couple of moments last year where they they really had some really rough games. But they short some things up in the run defense later on in the season. We I think we think of the jets game and the Rams game. They struggled against power on teams. And they they did they did. And so sure that's something. But the the size and the bulk of the D line. Well, the guys don't talk Petco even sign with anybody yet. No, yeah. He'll say available. So what might be concerns was getting a better push up front. Yeah. No. If the one thing he does he's consistent reliable, and he gets push. So bring him back Doma. A when you're veteran. Yeah. Maybe I don't know what they're gonna do that. I think they feel like the pieces that they got in the draft and dream on Jones. Shelby. Harrison Zach Kirby, the guys I think they were legitimately think. Well, and they they had Walker put on a bunch of weight. He's going back. But I think he's still going to be that three or five taking. I don't think he's moving to zero not no not at all. But it's also Vic Fangio's philosophy about the D lie moving guys round. And I I wanna see what Walker looks like with a little bit more weight on him. I feel I don't feel bad for Walker. But I do the whole yoyo thing that they've been doing with him, and he had been good enough at any of those positions sticky would have the other side of that is that he's got to put it. It's like the old dick for meal quote about Larry Johnson. He's take diapers off and become the guy like if you. You can't sit here and cry about they asked me to do this. They asked me to do that will be good enough at one of them where they're not asking you do anything. But that how about that. We have a conversation. The other day on the show again, Ryan Edwards Benjamin Albright with you here on KOA NewsRadio three three seven one three eighty five. Eighty five text line five six six nine zero. We're having a question about how bad that 2017 draft class for the Broncos could ended up looking if gear polls doesn't end up really taking a huge leap forward. Because you just mentioned what Walker? It's one of the two worst draft classes in Broncos history. Well, and not free in two thousand seventeen of the two worst Broncos draft class guy. Eric at home with yahu sports did his list of the worst draft classes since two thousand now it's too early to say that about twenty seventeen but boy is getting close we talking about all the guys that are not even on this roster right now. And that's just a couple of years for move. Right. We're talking I mean again light years removed and you'll have half your draft class. That's weird. That's that's that's weird. But yeah. I'm trying to think of radio safe way to say this poor evaluation. That's the best way to put it. That's just a poor job evaluating. And so you can take a look that class. Now when we look at that class. It's not so much to pile on its to say, that's why you were eleven wins in the last two years because you had too many drafts not that bad, but bad enough that now you are you're force the last two drafts have been have been good. And there's definitely some intimation excitement about what some of these prospects can bring. But again, that's all it is until proven otherwise. Right. But the thing is is is Ben this is the deal, man. You can't miss on drafts consecutive years because the teams that were on that list. The raiders the Jags the Browns were just again trying to clean this up dog crap. Right. They were a great portion of the early two thousands of mid-2000s. Well. That's the thing is is that's how you replenish your roster. That's how you keep your suffering getting in trouble and having to desperately go to free agency. And overpay somebody at a position if you continually draft well, and you draft guys that are going to be good enough to be next man up. Well, then you've replenish Gerard naturally. And you've got to be able to do that. But you know, teams like Jacksonville teams like Cleveland who traditionally run the raiders way overspent and free agency. We're always bad because they were draft poorly. The Portland trailblazers lead the Denver Nuggets eighty to eighty seven or eight seven to eighty sorry about that. My computer's freaked out as seven to eight Portland trailblazers lead the different nuggets eighty seven eighty after three Portland wins another quarter here. Twenty nine twenty six the fourth quarter coming up. We'll bring you live reaction. Right. Everett's Benjamin Albright live on KOA NewsRadio eight fifty AM and ninety four one FM. Glimpse. They. You've got all kinds of hustle, like get the job done hustle and get the kids out the door hostile..

"And Vic Fangio is if there are several players here. Derek Wolfe dome? Atop Petco, Emmanuel Sanders von Miller. So Dave over here. Shelby Harrison, and even others and a chance for all of those guys and all of us to get our I listen to Vic Fangio, and he is as advertised pretty no nonsense. Yeah. No, no doubt about that. I you know, I I thought he did a nice job. You can tell that. He's he's thoughtful in his answers. And you know, I I would surmise that maybe over the course of his career. He's experienced moments where he's not exactly all that comfortable standing up addressing members of the media. And I'm sure he's this as most coaches, I'm sure he's gotten better as he's gone on. But yeah, I mean, I, you know, the kitchen to detail. The little things, you know. I like the story about how he would deal with players that walked in thirty seconds late. You know, people that don't completely understand it, and he alluded to this. He said you might look at that. And say does that ended up itself being that you got an issue with the team or you know, they're not gonna play while that week? No. But if you don't address that and basically put an end to it, then as he said the next day it's a couple of minutes late then the next dates two or three players. So I think that's that's what he's talking about. In terms of the the little things, you know, he said discipline is sort of a broad term and somewhat overused. But he's talking about just making sure that he and his staff coach the little thing. This is the NFL but still inefficient players require coaching the little things I think the best teams get that from their head coach from their assistant coach. Interesting too that it is his first head coaching opportunity. But did he doesn't it doesn't seem like the moments too big for me? He seems perfectly comfortable, and and obviously ready to put a staff together. And I found it interesting. There was no real defined role. At this point for Gary kubiak that the team was ready to announce yet a, you know, the media tried to basically say trap nor trick but entice him into a comment or two about Gary. And I thought he deftly sidesteps that and said, you know, what will will formulate the staff, and when we were we're happy to talk about it. So not exactly sure what that means. But it was pretty clear that he was not prepared to talk about Gary as the offense coordinator at least not yet. Coach we're we're joined by the the new head coach of the Denver Broncos Vic Fangio Vic. I'm Dave Logan. How are you? Welcome. Welcome to Denver. Thank you. Thank you very much. You. I think this is true. I'm not I'm not exactly sure. But I I you with the saints coached one of my favorite guys he has passed who's a team teammate of mine in Cleveland by the name of Sam. So Sam on the on the linebacking crew when you were the coach there. More than that Sam mills, and I were together for fifteen straight years and. You know, you're talking about one of the most special people that I've ever come across. Wake life and. I was with him in the USFL for two years with the stars the stars right house with him for nine years in New Orleans. And then three years in Carolina, and then the fourth year in Carolina's when he started his coaching career with me. So fifteen straight seasons we were together, and salmon, I were very very very close. Yeah. He I tell the story. He I was I think in my I don't know if seven three year he was rookie trying to make the team and had such a tremendous training camp. Sam mills for people that don't remember was an inside linebacker. That was probably I don't know five nine maybe five ten, but would literally figuratively knocked the taste out of your mouth. He played well enough in that camp to make the team and wound up getting cut. Then I think at that point. I'm not sure if he went to the US a fellow where he went, well, I can expand on that for you. I have a little time to trivia question who did the Cleveland Browns? Keep and cut Sam mill Tom coups. No. One other one that's inside guy. Yeah. So we're talking we're talking about eighty two maybe Bill cower. My roommate. Bad mistake. Well, and then yeah, he went from there and got cut in Canada. Oh, I didn't realize that. And then if a one for the USFL Sam never would have had his pro football career, but I will tell you another funny story. And I know this is maybe not interesting the Bronco fans. But when the USFL full that we are already in New Orleans Jim Moore and his staff coaching the saints. And then the US L officially folded and all those players were free agents. And Jim calls me and says, do you really think we should bring Sam here? I literally jumped on the table that say jumped on the table. And then when we go out to the first practice and Sam five nine he's nowhere near five house been polite and disease shorter to me, I always used to tease him and. And we walk out on the practice field. And I'm like, oh my God. Look at him out. What did I do Iraq? But it wasn't until about. I five plays into our first running dro- where he found some offensive linemen and the back, and I just looked over at Jim Warren, I smiled. Yeah. That's that's the greatness of Sam mills. He'll let me ask you this. You you you've addressed members of the media here. But but it now your first opportunity to be a head coach the leak you've been a really successful assistant and defensive coordinator for a long long time looking back, and you you address this to the media, but not to are specific audience. Why do you think it took so long for you to get an opportunity as you have today? I think it's mainly. Well, there's a there's a lot of reasons, but some of them are. One. I came second in nineteen after the nineteen ninety six season. I interviewed with San Diego and Bobby Beth third and. Then get it came in second. And because we were having success that time at Carolina, and then you know, our success. They're kind of fell off a little bit. Was that Bobby Ross who who that? No they hired Kevin Gilbride. Kevin gilbride. Okay. And. Our success there fell off a little bit. I went to the colts we had success there. I was supposed to interview with the saints after my first or second year with the colts. I can't remember. But they changed GM's and the GM had a guy in mind. So that ended that and then from Indianapolis, I went to Houston, and we didn't have much we were making progress, but not enough success to be considered anywhere. And then I went to Baltimore. I wasn't the coordinator in Baltimore was four years as an assistant. You know? So I wasn't going to be looked at for. Sure. And then when I went to San Francisco, we started having success. I was back in the coordinator. And you know, it was considered there. But you know, that was a. Dysfunctional situation there at the end as everybody knows and. Besides most everybody and outside the organization thinking, they should have hired me. They didn't. I was too loyal and a trust assistant to Jim Harbaugh. And they went the other avenue with so. Not not a trusted assistant a loyal system. Yeah. Let me ask you keep you for a couple of more. And we're talking with the new head coach the Denver Broncos Vic Fangio as best you can for Broncos fans listening to you now. And again, you haven't even a chance to get in here and get acclimated and get your staff together and review.

Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers

"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.
