"The sizes may focus a lot. More to so i have a him out real and it's always interesting to know how guys approach goals as von miller the other day if you had any goals. He said he wasn't putting any numbers out there at all that have everybody plays well. The numbers will take care of themselves. Jerry judy told us though that he certainly has goals that he set and that he that he sets each year and and even how he references them on a regular basis. Of course our all my goes down on. Put it on there so i can look at it every day when i use the bathroom. Science faculties read it to myself You know you want to manifest that so I believe in lagos in china accomplishment. Just you know personal. Go to just re read by myself so i wanna talk too much about the one question that i should've followed up with was if you hit those. We let us know. Those are the goals that you wrote down and Maybe i'll ask them that next time or goals. Come up again but jerry. Judy is off to a good start to camp. And he in portland sutton together you mix and noah fan albert working his way back and if the running back room stays the same. I think that you've got a lot of fantasy. "For ford on where they could be picking safety. I mean it wouldn't be crazy to say the broncos pick a safety in the first round now because they have no depth there and remember will parks guy that i really like a guy that i believe can fill in very well for for kareem jackson. He's not even signed yet. He's not a denver bronco right now so they need to get him or someone else locked in on that safety side. Does it look like. I mean from what you're hearing. What do you think about. We'll parks will will the broncos back or do you think that he's probably on the way out you know they really should try to bring him back and i believe that there will certainly be interest there because what you're not going to do or what would make sense really to move on from cream jackson who absolutely. We lived up to the first two years of his three year. Thirty three million dollar deal wouldn't make sense to move on from him and bring in someone else for a similar price As kareem jackson about ten million dollars that wouldn't make any sense but with will you can get him one year three million dollars one year two million dollars even because remember and i know people in denver. Love will just as much as i do but last year he signed a one point. Five million dollar deal with the eagles to leave and then he was cut midway through the season. So it's not like you're going to have to pay him ten million dollars. So what one thing that i really like about will if he can start next to justice in is and you feel good about that. He does make sense because he saves you a lot of money. Once you move on from cream jackson and then also you can still go in the draft. And if you wanna go round one you can do that if you want to wait till around three you can do that as well. Zak stevens joining us. Dvr broncos so much to get to. I wanna get to fill up. I want to get to von miller. That's the big news but let's cover a few things first ronald darby picking up a corner there. We knew that would that would probably still is a need but you talk to us about darby where he fits in this in the depth chart with the corners in does that change things drastically as far the chances of the broncos taking a corner in the first round. Yes so ronald darby is the broncos number. One outside cornerback right now and and it just move is a little head-scratching but it also makes sense it and let me tell it talk to you what i'm talking about ten million dollars good price for a number one outside cornerback so the value is certainly there. The contract also makes sense. It's essentially two years. Nineteen and a half million dollars. So i liked the contract. They're ronald darby isn't necessarily a scheme. Fit with vic fangio. Ronald darby really excels in band and he can be beast in man coverage on the outside. So i like that but vic likes to do a lot of zone so i hope that they don't change him to to be truly zone. Cornerback i hope they let him stick with man on the outside and just leave them there. Another thing that i like about this. He is not a slot cornerback. And why i like. That is because the broncos already have one of the best slot cornerbacks in bryce callahan. I didn't want to sign another slot. Cornerback and then have you..

kareem jackson Zak stevens ten million dollars ronald darby two years three year last year von miller Five million dollar Nineteen and a half million do cream jackson two million dollars darby bryce callahan one year three million dollars first round first two years One vic

"Would suggest that the champ is probably like a said, gonna bring foals. Yeah, that would be your competition. And then if it doesn't work, you could walk away from both the end of the year. If Adam Peters were to come in That would probably be the worst case for lock. That would probably be depending on how Adam feels about this quarterback class. But that's really Adam Specialty. Where is with Peter with Kelly? It's really not Um with spy tech. Oh, I don't know. I honestly don't know the answer to that One eaters would probably the end of Lago. I would, I would. I would honestly suggest that Zach Wilson would probably be the preferred Just based on knowing what I know about Peter's. That would probably be the preferred guy. Okay, So Peter's Who's more of a college guy, their college scouting background? Of course, he'd be more interested potentially to reset their with a young quarterback. That would be his guy, right? Where is your talking about? Maura of a pro scouts there in Kelly. He might opt to run it back for a year and see how things go and get a get a little bit of a lay of the land more so than to do that, too, because he's got the relationship falls is there with the Bears right now is all that kind of stuff. Pulls has a previous relationship with Pat Shurmur dating back their time. Philadelphia s O Fools just makes the most sense out of all that for for that scenario, Okay. Next question here. Speaking of Justine Simons is we were talking about him. What are the chances? He re signs with this new GM. What about von Miller? What about Shelby Harris? So kind of asking about all three guys. Humans in the are a phase earlier, and that's obviously one of the big decisions they have to make right off the bat with Phillip Lindsay and Alexander Johnson and Tim Patrick. But yes, Justine Simons. That's probably the number one thing that has to be decided. Shelby Harris is in the mix there. And then yeah, von Miller some pretty massive decisions, and it comes back to something we were discussing before right. It's beginning to show just like there's Ah lot of people worried right off the bat on. Oh, my gosh, This new GM is gonna come in a completely different philosophy with the draft and sort of so forth. It's like Hey, listen. They've got some major decisions to make about their own roster before they even get there. Yeah, On gets the thing like you. You do need to go and check if like we talked about the R face, right, you gotta make who How And who are you gonna tender there? Because Who can you afford to lose? Who can you afford to keep it? Those prices? You know, who are you willing to let test the market and they go if they need to. Tim Patrick, unfortunately, probably falls in that original round tender. Category. Just based on the death that wide receivers chap, eh? So you probably tender Lindsay and Alexander Johnson a second round tenders. On. Then you start to look around at the other options that you got here. You know you do You need to figure out Shelby Harris. You're gonna be okay. Justine Simons. He's gonna get paid by somebody is gonna be here. I mean, it's homegrown. So there's a lot of pieces and a lot of parts that you need to look at before you even get to the draft function of this. And to be honest with you. A new general manager coming in probably isn't going to clean house on scouts and and down roster guys until after the draft because you've already started the momentum on this and this is a covert. You're on top of this, so you're probably going to trust in what you've already seen from internally from your guys over there. Let's say, Let's say it's Chambliss just hypothetically. Your guys in Chicago? You're gonna marry that up with the data that you know. From here in Denver and go from there, then you clean house after the draft. That's when the season starts for front office guys after draft and certainly you also have to believe the vic Fangio's voice in this matters Absolutely often times it isn't necessarily up to the head coach. But in this case, you're giving some power to the head coach to help select The next GM of this team, So I have to imagine that Vic Fangio was a guy pounding the table to keep justice. Seven. Justine Simons to stay in. Yeah, and and he will be well say he will be. Vic Fangio will be back pounding the table at the Justin definitely staying. I think as the new general manager, you have to come in and way. How you going to do this? Do you tag Justine Simmons again? Knowing that he may not play on it. He was really just it was willing and vocal about playing on the tag the first time, right? But second time might not necessarily be that case and officially maybe burned some bridges. That would suggest that if they tag him and don't reach a deal that just will never come back to Denver. I would suggest that that would be The way you need to think about this. Yeah, and the tag is Listen, Players have different feelings on the tag. Some players like a good pay me the gig because it was like watching. Yeah, I'll take two of those Thank you. And everybody else is like I hate this. You know, whatever, but you stand to make more money on it. If you get tagged twice and then get the big deal afterwards. You stand to make more money, but it could be stressful. I mean, you think about this, we're thinking about it in different terms. You're talking about a guy who's gonna feed his family for life. This is not the money that he's gonna make over the next six years. The term limit for these Opportunities for these players is not very long as we know. So, yeah, Another couple questions coming in about Justine Simons because it did seem a the end of his press conference today with the media is about 17 minutes long, and he got there A T and sort of thanking the media and, you know, seemingly as though he was headed out the door. I wouldn't read too much into that. Honestly read too much into that yet that I've been there for those conversations. I've been in the locker room with those conversations when they're thinking the media. Sometimes it does end up where they do leave, like, Remember when Chris Harris was thanks The media. We all knew we knew what was going on. So that was that was a genuine like that. This one is genuine, for sure, but understanding that there's still There's still things in motion that you know, Justin. They want him back like they really do want him back. Sure, changing things up with the GM like change a little bit there, But I think the overall direction and I keep wanting to emphasize that the overall direction with the organization is trying to do. That's why they're maintaining with Vic Fangio. That's why they're keeping things the patch. Shermer because there was a direction results haven't got there yet. But there's a culture thing that's happening that they do like the direction of and that's why they don't want to reset everything. If they're resetting everything, I throw it all up in the air. I say I don't I don't really know what's gonna happen here with Justine Simons. If it was John Elway stepping away completely and not being a part of this thing. It's tough to know they may you know, the next team comes in, says I don't view you as a top three safety in the league. At least I'm not gonna pay you like one and we're gonna move on. But I don't think that's gonna be the case because I think with John Elway and Vic Fangio staying here. That is going to Make the Broncos want to make that work out. The theme of running it back. Seems a bit defeated. If you're going to let your best player walk. Yeah, exactly right. I mean, in the end that that's just what it boils down to you to me, and I'll say, you know, we know a limited you know, a little bit from each side of the house on this from the Broncos, and from from Justin, I I think that they weren't that far apart last year. I know. I think the I think the team was a little over half a million per year light. Real close. Yeah..

"Kaufman. Fitting, given how this season is gone, that the Broncos might be without a few more guys in their final game of the season due to injury. Bradley Chub KJ Handler are both among the players who did not practice today for the Broncos. KJ handler is in concussion protocol, while Bradley Chubb has an ankle injury. The status of both guys here on a Wednesday is up in the air. The surprise addition to the injury report was Shelby Harris. Who, unbeknownst in anyone. I've suffered any injury. Against the Chargers. The extent of the injury and the severity of it is not yet known. Perhaps shall be Harris will be missing. Of course last year in week 17 when the Broncos played the Raiders, Shelby Harris Had a very important role banning down that final pass, so I'm sure the Broncos would like him to be in the lineup again on Sunday. Speaking of players that may be in or not in the lineup for their respective teams on Sunday, Cuyler Murray he's in despite his leg injury. Cardinals need him because if they lose to the Rams, they will not go the playoffs. Taylor. Hi. Nikki is taking first team red for Washington. They play the Eagles. If they win, they are NFC East champions. Ah, on and Today. We had some mountain.

"I said, break on the story there of Muti getting his first play in the National Football League, which you know, you know, the big fellow was way fired up about seeing Seeing him play yesterday. Well and then and then he backed it up, and I haven't gone to see if Profootballfocus gave out their grades, but just listening to the game or certainly watching it, and he's early in the game. He's out, pulling on runs to the left to the right and making his presence felt for a guy that was going against a top 10 pick and Derek Brown. Movie Muti more than held his own and you heard Drew lock praise him. After the game today, when he was on with with Logan and Louis. He talked about the old line play mentioned Calvin Anderson, who had to step in last minute for Garrett Bolles, But you have three new starters I get. Elijah used to be a starter, but three new starters working together to go with the other two young guys in the second year guy riser in a rookie and cushion Barry to give up one sack and the play as well as they did against a good defense. Get the Carolina may not be going to the Super Bowl. Brian Burns was number number 16 overall pick and as good a edge rushers there is and I just mentioned Brown Shack, Thompson and they've got ballers over there on that defense. So yeah, I think The Broncos are gonna have a good problem on their hands, trying to figure out how to get three linemen for Lyman in the three spots, But Muti certainly deserves more playing time after what we saw the other day. Okay, There's been a little bit of pushback. I've been getting a little bit of push back online about what's happening with Phillip Lindsay and his carries. And why hasn't there been more love for him? Well, I'll start off by saying the way that you show people that you love them in the NFL is by paying them any word on whether or not the Broncos have offered a contract to Phillip Lindsay. Have not heard that the only the only name that I heard and our NFL insider from Broncos 100 mentioned all right in our insider segment yesterday that you know I do on the pregame mentioned that the Broncos have already begun discussions with Shelby Harrison would like to get a deal done. We know Justine Simons is a priority. Again for everybody listening. They cannot negotiate with Justine Simons until after the season because he's on the franchise tag. He was actually their priority ahead of bowls, but they can't negotiate with just until the until the year is over. So Shelby Harris is there. Next target if you will to try to get him the sign a deal before the year's over. And maybe sooner than that. Maybe it happens quickly. Is bowls. Did s O to be something to monitor, But I have not heard about anything for Lindsay. As for the way the usage gets broken down, you know, I look at the snap count ever every Monday morning, and obviously I'm up early. I tweeted it out a little later in the day to day. But He was on the field for 29 snaps. Melvin Gordon for 28. You can't be more 50 50 than that. And by my quick math, we know I'm not great at Mass. That's one more play that he was on the field, and Gordon Gordon might be a little banged up Phillips a little banged up But you feel yourself with the operation. By the way, That was that was one is correct. He was on the field for 29 plays, and Gordon, who was 28. It wasn't 29 to 45. So I understand the frustration and I think Phil's as dynamic of guys, They have a lot of like seeing K. J Hammer. Touch the ball a lot. Um, so I don't know what the long term plan is there. But it certainly doesn't seem like to this point. They're ready. Tow tow offer him a deal even similar to the one that Gordon has right now. I don't know what a what a multiyear deal would look like for Philip right now, By the way, a Justine Simons going to join us have 505. Today he is again the NFL Man of the year, a nominee from the Denver Broncos for the second year in a row, and we'll talk about that game yesterday became self. Some comments from true like today, where he talked about the The relationship he has got with his backup, which obviously is a little bit different than the relationship that drew like head with Joe Flacco. But this relationship that he has a Brett rip in, he says, is We're truly helping him mature in this game. Yeah, And it's pretty interesting because they're basically the same age on do they came in together. They became really close in the off season leading in the last year, And then Drew goes, goes down early in the preseason or middle of preseason and Mrs Obviously, those 1st 10 weeks he and ripping became even closer. They came in every morning and every afternoon they were watching practice and going through it on the virtual reality simulator. I think I told you this on air, but I was told by High place Broncos source last year that they could envision Brett rip in being Gary Kubiak to Drew's John Elway. No, that's saying a lot about Drew. Did it really be the guy like John Elway or even close to that, but where you're not even thinking about another quarterback for for a decade? Plus, but they're that close at the same age like I mentioned that They work really well together and rip. It has to be able to play well enough like he did against the Jets. I know the Jets aren't great. Obviously, they're the worst team in football, but he went in to do what you're supposed to do and threw the ball over the yards and picked he wants back. But could they be that? 12 punch that grows together and punch maybe isn't the right word, but just the the complimentary piece that Brett can say anything to drew. And it's going to be the right thing to say to do it the right time and clearly, that's the relationship they have. It was nice to hear, Drew kind of lettuce behind the curtain a little bit on that yesterday. Okay, uh, has to lock down enough from the, uh, from this past football season so far, TOC a cure that the Broncos won't be looking for a new Quarterback next year..

"Protocols don't work. It's because they were lackadaisical like, Drew said. So, but that's a long answer Your question Darius Kilgo on the Reserve covert 19 list. Um, BK did last thing I have for you is when, when? When we consider, um what's gonna happen this next week? Well, shall say Sunday night for I guess it is technically next week against the Kansas City Chiefs. How many players are we looking at from? Um Shelby Harris and and his return and I know he's been out. What not? Did he have Cove? It He did. He got it from his wife and orchids. Fine. Okay, so we he was not before weeks, man. That game was because close contact. Then after he was back, thinking he was clear. He tested positive on that Tuesday or Wednesday and Islamist three more games. Wow. So he's out. He's been out four weeks. Do you know whether or not he feels good enough to go out and play the whole game? Yeah, I heard that that he feels fine. And he is, as Vic said, getting a sea legs under him today for the second yesterday, and then he was out there today. I know this a little that we saw and we don't see much. He was certainly working with the first team. I think I'm allowed to report that. I know exactly what I'm allowed to report or not, but it was during the open viewing period. So Shelby was out there. I'd expect that we see him close 35 40 Sam's, which is probably about The Maxine eating away. What's that? I said, We need him. Yeah, absolutely. And what's interesting, too, if he does go out and make some plays like he has all year I've been under the notion. I think I'll unite and talk about this. He may have made more money by not playing for a month. If he comes back and makes plays, if you know about the markets, Walker's limitation.

"The Broncos Shelby Harris on the current Broncos season covert 19 and more. Shelby, I imagine this is a stranger past few weeks than you've ever had. Not just in your football career, but in your life. Won't you tell us a little bit about it? Going back to when you we now find out that it was your wife and kid does that got sick with Corona virus and all we knew was you had close contact. Take us through all of it to you Testing positive to where we're at now. Well, you know my odds. Remember it was after the charges game and No. My wife started feeling a little sick and and my youngest daughter started feeling. You know, just a little, Please, like she just wasn't herself. And so you know, I just decided the minus. Well, just call the trainers and see if we get him a test and So then my wife and my youngest tested positive first and then everyone else tested positive, but Um, plus from you, So I didn't test positive for until week after. And so That's kind of where the frustration kind of lies in this because, you know, obviously the incubation period is different for everyone. So I was sitting in the hotel for a week. We cannot be able to come back. You know the other next week? I'm against Raiders and then, um You know, I just kind of just fell apart. Americans and I ended up getting it right. Impossible to come back and Now I've missed my economics and these next two games, and so it's just it's been. It's been a long long process. Is this the longest I've been out of football? I didn't season than four years. You know, it's just It's just differences of different experience going around this time, Angela Miller told the city lost his sense of taste and smell when he had grown a virus, So I'm curious. Shelby did you have Any negative effects. Um, you know for me, I didn't lose my taste or slow or anything like that. So I just kind of had the chills for like a day or two. Um, you know, just kind of like, really common, soothe symptoms and and that's kind of all I had. And so I, You know, it's not really in Jack. I feel fine. Like I feel like I'd like today, you know? Like I still feel like find, even though you know I had thrown a virus and so I don't know everyone's experience is different, and I can't believe it. And I understand that, but You know, I just I'm lucky, but it didn't get to a point where I like I could. I lost my taste. I lost my last my smell could and it really affected my lungs, So I got lucky. Raining Krystle with Broncos defensive lineman Shelby Harris, who's back after missing three games because of coronavirus looking forward to the Saints game Sunday and Shelby. It's good that you didn't have any negative effects. But if somebody who's barely missed any time in your four years with the Broncos because of injury as grand Glascow similar question when he came back yet, miss hardly any games in his career to miss games. Not for something truly physical like a sprained ankle or hurt shoulder, But for something viral to take you out of Ultimately, three games. How tough was that? It's frustrating because you know you feel like message. You feel fine. You feel like you want to go out there and help the team and you're physically you know, It's not like you've broken ankle, you explained, like robot feel like you actually, like, really feel injured. And so this is it's tough. Because you just like, you know, you're sitting on the sitting around at home just watching the games and it's not like you're even like hurt and then really the hardest part. I think really about it is that you're not allowed around the team. And I think that is that the interesting aspect of it because even when you do get hurt, you do rehab around the team. You You're all yours. You're still in meetings around the team. But like with this, No. Everything like I'm on June I could get on the meetings resume were like I haven't been in the facility and I have, like, three weeks and so Like this to lose that contact and that and that, and I feel with the team is really the worst part about it well and then the other part of that, too. Whether your player hurt or in this case, one that just away from the team to know that you can't Help the team in some tough games. How hard was that to sit there on game days? And just the best you could do is tweet. If you chose to engage or turn the TV off and watch it later, like you would have gave him how was it watching your team from afar? You know, it's it's just tough because Then obviously you want to be out there helping the guys and you know you could be out there helping, But you know, it's just interesting. Just watching it. From just a fan's perspective, Like just once in a while actually being invested in the team. It's just You know, this thing is just crazy because I've never been in this position before watching like this, and it just kills me because I know it's you know, the play called Sometimes you know what's going on. And you know, like what should happen and it's not happening. Just it's really frustrating just to be a part of that. And just, you know, I was watching this all unfold, especially it's not fun, Obviously, when you're watching losses And so it's just you makes you really feel guilty for not even being out there even more. Well, then I'm curious to you having one of your best years. Vic Fangio talked about it last weeks, and when he's asked about Pro Bowl selections, who should be pro bowler, you were one of the first names he mentioned..

"Shelby. It is such a pleasure to have you back on untangle. All thank you so much for being here. Thank you for having me patricia. I love talking with you. Yeah you were one of our first. Meditation teachers asleep experts and you did our sleep. Basics course on meditation studio and now just come out with your first book called. The women's guide overcoming insomnia for storm. So proud of you. Thank you so much for writing this book we needed. That's for sure and let's start with this question. Why did you decide to write this book. There are books out there for just general insomnia treatment overall but i work with so many women of all ages from teenagers to older adults. And it's like women oftentimes either suffering silence or they don't appreciate what is treatable and what isn't treatable a lot of times think. Oh this is all just hormones. And there's nothing i can do about it and sometimes there are things that can't be done but a lot of times. There are things that can be done and they wanted a book that really addressed that women in particular. And how has it been received so far. Is that a silly question. Because you know this book so desperately. It's been fantastic. I am so excited with the reception. Overall it's funny. I have colleagues and patients who will be reading the book in like a coffee shop or something and then they'll tell me that other women will come over to them. Where did you get that book. I need so it's really just venus. The most surprising to the honestly about the whole thing is that men have come up to me and said things like is this only for women can help me to so men thinking that there were secrets in there that rank being kept from them but yes other than the hormonal chapters and all the women who is a lot in there that's applicable to. Yeah i think so too uae. Are we such a sleepless bunch of peak ball. I think there's a few things. So the biggest thing i think is that we're just distressed society. We just don't know how to put an end to the day anymore and there are some days that were going going going. We have our phones on us nonstop. We think that we can just put things down and crash and sometimes we can crash and go right to sleep. Oftentimes we wake up a few hours later opening up early. Whatever was on our brain right when we crash right there other times. We just can't turn off because we're going going going right until bedtime. And i think that's the biggest factor the other big factor for women especially or torments. That's a big thing that happens throughout the lifespan. So whether it's just performance -tuation women tend to have really poor sleep right beforehand or when they're pregnant or just after having a baby. There's a lot of anxiety and depression. Because you know this book so desperately. It's been fantastic. I am so excited with the reception. Overall it's funny. "He's he's the guy who has been the disruption upfront and allowed for Bradley, Chub and Molly agreed to really do what they've been doing on the outside on the edge and without him. I am worried about what this defensive line is gonna be able to do. I'm still very confident in the defense. I think the biggest angio has proved just throughout his career and and in Denver, especially That he can work with less right. He can take what he has and make it work. The problem is going to be that lack of Shelby Harris because he's the guy that that sort of holds everything down, and he he he's going to be gone if he's gone. You know you're going. You're gonna have to be worried about what a guy like Todd Gurley is going to do, for example, and who's gonna knock down passes at the line when Matt Ryan drops back to pass Because the stockings offense isn't terrible. They've got talent. They have the ability to put points on the board and so missing Shelby Harris is it is going to be an advantage for them, especially playing on the road. You know, it's going to be an advantage for the foul and have the Broncos come in and Not be a full strength now that they've been at full strength at all this season, but indeed, last one here for you, Adam really appreciate the time. Ah, win against Atlanta means what to you. Lost means what Ah wind means they're step closer to the play offs. The loss means that their step further away and that's really probably about it. All right, so you don't have in this kind of moment of well if they lose to Atlanta, who there? There are certain matchups. You certainly like in this game between six team, you think? Okay, Well, this is a game that they could or maybe even should win. I think Atlanta's probably taking a look at the Broncos and thinking the same thing. But, yes, I think very plainly. It's about the play offs. But you don't have any kind of like. Oh, well, I think way less of this team are way more of this team either way. No. One. I think that part of the reason I don't is because I'm really trying hard not to get too high and too low with his team. Because way have you have to again? You got to step back and look at him. As realistically as possible, and this is a team that is still growing. It is a team that is still learning. It is a team that's ravaged by injuries. So do I want them to go to the playoffs? Yes to expect them to win on Sunday. Yes. Would I be upset if they lost? Of course I would. But would it change my view of what this team is moving forward? Absolutely not. Because I think that this Denver Broncos team Is really a team that's playing for 2021 more than 2020. And so a win or a loss here doesn't necessarily change what they're going to be able to do in 2021. Other than it would impact draft status or whatever which I'm not. I'm not one of those people. That really worries about that. That's for that's for other people to analyze. So for me, it's more about building on the team. Getting better at specific aspect may be having a good showing on, you know, in all phases, and if you get the win, great, and if you don't you know it's too bad, but I don't think it changes with the future is Moving forward. Yeah, I think with you, especially if you see some progress, I think that's kind of what we're looking about. As the big picture Adam. Good takes is always me appreciate the time. Absolutely guys love it. All right. Adam Malnati with Mile I report we check in with them every Friday final Once we're.

"I think in that locker room right now, Now that Wolf he's gone, that will do that. Yeah, Absolutely. I have great respect for Shelby Harris honestly this season last year, and I wasn't the most impressive. I think he's having are his best career year and hopefully he gets paid. He's definitely earned it based on his play this year, and if I'm the Broncos, looking to trade shall be Harris. I probably let him know about it and also You know, let him kind of have a choice of like, Do I want to go here? Is there something I'm interested in? So that way, you're not really giving him any negative feelings out the door because I think he he learned that he's a guy who's been a big impact player for this defense for For many years Now. You ran a poll earlier today that I thought was kind of interesting. You said, Let's say due to financial constraints, the Broncos could only retain one of the following players, bowls Simmons and Harris. Which one are you keeping and why you got a lot of responses on that gear bowls? I mean, talk about the difference of a year can make their Poles just dominated this pole. Almost 71%. You got Justine Simmons coming into 20%. If we don't run the same pole a year ago, would have been flipped the other way. Justine Simmons would have dominated maybe Shelby Harris. Would have been in the mix there. He's only got 10%. I think a lot of people just sort of assume the Broncos on a one year deal here knowing that got a lot of youth. They're probably end up moving on. But what did you think about the results of that? And which one would you pick? I would probably pick Garrett Bolles right now, just because of traditional value and fear City it takes typically in the NFL. After guys drafted. It takes 3 to 4 years for that tackle, specifically to kind of level out to become who they are going to be for their career. And I think we're finally seeing the parables. And now I know he's the number one rated offense tackles pro football focus. I'm not ready to crown him that quite yet, But I think he's definitely got a chance to be a top 10 15 tackle in football and often environment have really won. Careers. They can play well into their late thirties. Good looking Andrew Whitworth, For example, He's playing extremely good football right now. I think it's 39. So I think terrible. The guy goes as well. I brought was finally put in all this time on Garret gold, finally paying off, and then we'll just let him walk. I don't think I could do that. Do you think that John Elway needs a win? Do you think that he needs to get a first round draft pick to a second contract? The validate the drafting? I feel like that's definitely something for the narrative. But I would be concerned if John Elway had that mentality because that would just lead to bias in his decision making and you want him to come in. Come at something like that. Without having that kind of pressure on him. Now that obviously, in an ideal world, you'd have a situation where you're obviously retaining the guy, but it definitely I think I'm going to talk about, But I hope that Elway isn't letting that Be any basis for his decision or any factor. One of the things that I think is coming out of this game is ah wonder a little bit about is the often set up Withdrew. Lock to be t basically work with his strengths. The best, and it's amazing how you know things can change in one game you have. We have just the last game where it's like, okay, I'm starting to see things come together. They beat the papers on the road while what a great win in the very next week. It's okay. Drew lock isn't the guy and all of a sudden, you know you don't have right scheme and we go on and so forth. But there might be something to what Pat Shurmur is doing right now with Drew lock that that isn't quite meshing. What are you seeing out there? What would you like to see? Well, honestly, this is the type of offense that If I had my exactly the perfect quarterback like man might be running it. They're on the ball down the field a lot. But right now, you got a guy like Judy, who's separating quickly have a Gallic fans who's getting open underneath and could do things like this offense instead of its court, Sutton was still healthy and you could play 10 Patrick or suddenly outside going deepened and Jerry duty in the slot. I think this would work pretty well. But The way it's going right now. How do you block struggling? I want to get understand more. I want to see more play action and I want him to take Just to the oldest winemakers. I mean, he's got explosive guys, you got jury duty. You got no offence. You've got Albert Lebanon, You got gauge a handler. It doesn't need to be the bombs away offense, and you could get to the vault and quickly and let those athletes make pleasant face. Do you think that the fans are upset that the Broncos went with those two receivers like that? And everybody wanted to tackle? Everyone Think, looking back on height with with the hindsight the benefit of hindsight. Now, do you think the fans are okay with those transfixed, even though we haven't seen that much? A handler and Judy hasn't van is highly productive is maybe people had envisioned right off the get off the bat. I think it's something with especially that contains the NFL draft fans. Probably there's gonna be a good chunk of fans are gonna still be screaming. They should have taken a tackle. Even though we haven't you know as Red Cleveland, the backup in Minnesota And with the Josh Josh on then, you know, Okay, so I think it's something that people in the moment or upset about because they have this ideal position. But that's not really how you need to attack the draft to take individual talents and hopefully 34 years from now, those guys will be really high end starters. So Maybe in the moment of said, But I think a couple of seasons from now given how long it takes for wide receivers to really come out. I think people are going to be quite happy about Cage, a handler and Jerry Judy. I mean, again, coming back. Terrible, though people were ready to bury the guy his rookie season and there's just there's a learning curve for players out of the draft. Wide receivers typically 2 to 3 years. So if you're not getting them to three years before judging them, then you're not coming at it with the best approach is from the analytics. Don't completely agree. Okay, So then just because we're setting up down this road, I want to have a conversation about Millie Creed. And I want it because you and I kinda had a little back and forth on Twitter. We ended amicably. But I want to kind of get your your perspective on Malik re because you don't seem very high on him. And you're not looking at him is a developmental guy so much as you think The Broncos don't really have What they could potentially be a starting outside linebacker. There's definitely a little bit of you want to be having this conversation. I think really creative, playing very admirably. Now. Granted, I do think that some of his facts have been schematic or coverage based and packed off to the back five. They've been playing really good football the last two weeks. But I think Reid, he could be a starter. He's just not the ideal started for me. I want him to be that third guy that third ed rusher he could do you could drop into space is pretty good on those third downs, but I really would like a more I want another Alfa. I mean, it's just plans, but we're definitely spoiled with the DaMarcus where von Miller years with Shane Gray and check their behind them. I think that Ed rusher and quarterback of the two positions where you just continuously throw high end resources. And ideally, on my perfect squad. Millie. Greed is that first day on the bench where you have another Hyeon picked opposite gravity Chub for the post von Miller era. You should that graphic he made this year. I mean, do you replace von now with the intent of trying to restructure him and keep him long term? I have such a long season left that it's hard to say exactly what's gonna happen..

"Up, swing the ball out that both deflected it and helping Harris deflected the football and then it is picked off by day Sean Williams, Shawn Williams with the interception and Shelby Harris again with a huge deflection and the Broncos defense. With their second interception on the season. Big guy out. You know, it's interesting is that you and I talked to shall be Harrison Super Bowl this year while we were in Miami, and at that time, he wasn't sure he was coming back to Denver. You know he wasn't and but he did end up coming back and the difference between Shelby Harris this year compared to Shelby Harris last year. Last year, Vic Fangio took Shelby here Sound on third down. He was a 1st and 2nd down guy. Yeah, but the only reason he's playing them now on third down is because of injuries. Two guys he thought were better pass rushers. But the one thing that Shelby Harris is really good at He's great at secondary moves, So the first move goes the way it's supposed to go when you and that's an automatic win. But in football, especially on the defensive line when that first move isn't there, you don't want to be dead in the water. Shotgun formation on third and five throwing situation here for Donald steps up, avoids the rush and get sacked again. Back at the 22 yard line. Darnold could not break free of Bradley Chub. It has been a sack drought for Chub 12 sacks in his 1st 13 games as a pro, just one in his last 10 and Chuck wraps up, Donald And Shelby Harris is the guy that actually made the play, beating one of the guards cleanly at the line of scrimmage. Getting in the backfield. Darnold justice first playback out there has to make a big D tackle. Miss shrugs them off. But then he wasn't able to avoid. Bradley jump, but an injured Bronco on the play and it is Paris. So Harris put the initial pressure. He got banged down from behind by Beckton and then was slow to get up. "One of the team and I think it's gonna be back Derek Wilson Shelby Harris are high on the list and so is Chris Harris the Chris Harris wants to test the market and wants to play in the flight and I don't think they were paying top dollar he would whatever his top dollar looks like it thirty one he would play in the fly you'd still be outside which is where he played all year he wants to go get paid implants fathers in the gonna Pam as much but there might be a situation out there that's the right fit for him but I think Boshell beers and there will have to be an economy government for what we thought would be less money man up if you get paid is a top ten center and he played like it this year you know I nine million dollars are gonna recover if you want to bring him back they have the room to do it and just and some of that saying he's not going anywhere the put the franchise tag on them if they have to and play on that but you are bring a lot of you guys back and that's kind of luxury of having the room that they have but it's it's going to be some tough decisions for John Elway and it's gonna hurt some rockets fans ceiling Brandon fifteen seconds left number one priority going into the draft and next year Broncos need what I think it's more cornerback up especially like Chris Harris walked this twenty people including a login who would put wide receiver slightly ahead of that and then off and the wind help across the board you just need more depth there and better quality but so you can put the coin it's kind of one a one be in one see what's your preference they need all three of those branding great work as always thank you thank you okay we Broncos insider branding Castrol the seven o'clock right now take a look at your driver's we check it against the more so it's been a rough drive south of I. twenty five a got a crash near Hampden it's actually jamming up that right lane right too late stop and I twenty five is a slow go as you make your way down from downing now and that's a real back up to try to get down into the tech center on the day would you expect no backups at all really overall your traffic is what he is really good little bit of slowing eastbound I. seventy right around Washington are your east bound to seventy drivers will but heavy between your kid Vasquez but really a good drive on the highway this morning traffic start to pick up a little bit of Parker road to get the usual glacier at Quincy at Bellevue and chambers of the course at the orchard are your driver's warding off highway that we've had a really tragic accident that is close to about federal approaching the boulder turnpike so you stay close instead northbound federal at seventy fourth will remain closed for several hours this morning will open the drive we.

"With four levels of defense against gunk where corrosion and friction like pocket five has got leads into the shock and snap froze the slant the cats he has been a ledger got through with three nineteen a pair scores rams thirty one twenty four over the cards and they secure their third consecutive winning season their defense and four takeaways in the final NFL game at the ninety six year old Coliseum twenty four first downs and like last year here in Minnesota they own the clock with over thirty seven minutes a position and this time from twenty two three six three three three the kick is in the kick is yeah ten seconds to go the bears pectin fruit leading twenty one nineteen ninety game winner WBBM newsradio seven eighty eighty Pinheiros field goal with ten takes to gold there twenty one nineteen of the Vikings Minnesota will be playing in the wildcard round they rested most of their store away for the season Renfro's back over the what she did as a running back say Jones is the right is the quarterback back at a gun takes this now for the win in complete out of the way the Broncos survive Shelby Harris comes up with a big play and it's sixteen of fifty rug goes are going to close out the season with a win but what a dramatic way for the season to end and it's.

"Then you're gonna have a lot of work to do and what they need to do is separate exaggerate yours because I think that's a problem like Shelby Harris was pointing out he didn't have much of a chance of the Pro Bowl why because he's listed as a defensive end for three four defensive ends are the equivalent of defensive tackle yeah four three so he's competing against all those addresses there in four three alignments the NFL needs to have kind of a redefinition of how they classify players on the front seven needs to get down to hear defensive tackles in the four three slash the engine three four that's one group edge rushers which can be ends in the four three outside backer in three four and then inside linebacker all pro team just started to figure that out right and so pro football focus to their credit was a little bit ahead of this in terms it's classifications can't wait Wade Phillips old friend of the Broncos things are not going well the rams right now of course appears to be not only on the hot seat put down on the outside looking in when Monday comes around according to a lot of reports and speculation about it but way Phelps says press conference there today said quote I enjoy coaching I want to continue now the rams of course other defenses struggled at times the Buccaneers and Jameis Winston let them up for fifty burger earlier this year will mark Jackson absolutely torched the rams on mine I football back during thanksgiving week I don't think wait till twelve trouble getting another job just because of his track record of success but what is interesting PK.

"Down and that will be a sack as well and that is Shelby Harris again that's his third sack of the game incredible day for Shelby Harris and really when you can five sacks on Kerr because that was the second half by the way so it's not like the defense stopped playing right what I what I feel like happened for the defense of it and I said this little bit last night post game with you I feel like this was kind of what we expected to see when you have your fourth and fifth cornerbacks out there on the field what happens when you really see your death tested by a an offense to the quarterback that is playing a really high level when you have do Dawson and you have to find a Harris who have been playing really really well for you but understandably are not your starters this is what happens good quarterbacks are going to find those guys all over the field and by the way we talked about this I was wrong on something last night it was dark Chris Harris is fall completely on that touchdown breaks it was Kareem Jackson group they're out of position and cream Jackson by the way admitted it was much bickering Jackson I watch that again a couple times in dream Jackson's floated all the way over to the sideline he need to stay in center field and be available to either side because he cheated over too much he wasn't available to help out prisoners that shouldn't have been a touchdown if cream Jackson was in place correct and it was a it we're we're going back to look at the tape you can clearly see it yeah well it pro football focus they give that one to scream at cream Jackson that they gave that touchdown they didn't give it to court Chris well Chris was clearly beat noise as blind on it should have had safety Alicia had safety help over the top so again I said that last I think we're all talking about Chris Harris get beat on that one and this is a guy that comes out every single week saying I guard number ones that's my thing I shut down number ones in here is a badge of honor for that well that was a tough one but at the same time it should be gone all the way for a touchdown are your last one here hi my last one is something I just want to make note of so we'll let the men I let them Dave rector the calls and then I'll explain why so the Russians three in the pocket is Alan throws across here at the Paul is inside the twenty five with my cues on the coverage contested down and make it forty down and fix all of seven gotta love that I talked about this before ten Patrick.

Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers

"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.
