"The NFL Heino. Richie. One of these parties one time, I'll show you around. Shea shea. What he's saying what he got. He got. After that. I can't well. Mccoy being thirty one years old. I didn't realize he was that old. So there has been talk. You know, there was the pseudo recruitment of Gerald McCoy. I guess it was a couple of months ago by who wasn't it was Fletcher and a couple of our D lineman. I I love the guy as a player. That's for sure. The age thing is is starting to get a little bit scary. For me, though. Patch of Pearson being twenty eight that's a no brainer. It's talked to Mike is Mike. How you doing? I'm going with you on the it's well, I think it's all about the batting right now. They can't leave that. Right. It's the most amazing thing to see after the start. They literally can't hit anything those zero's just pile up and pile up, and I have no answer for it. Yeah. Didn't it feel though like the emotion that they were playing with? And they were showing there was an exuberance to their game as a team that it just felt like they could do no wrong that like that positively was translating to great play. And now they've lost that magic. And I don't know how you reclaim that other than do what I thought Jake Arrieta was doing. You know? After their previous game. Try to light a fire. Try to do something provide a spark, and they didn't even respond to that. And then last night watching them not respond to Reese Hoskins having to balls thrown directly at his head. I just what's this team made of I'm very worried right now. You know, I was the same thing he came over year when he came over. And he was the only one it almost looked like joke like where's everybody behind him? It's not good. And it makes me wonder where they just like like, all right? This game's going to be over ninety seconds, like mentality wise, they were out of it and talking all the guys on the bench, his very odd. Because here's the thing. The first commentators saying he needs to go guess at pitcher. I'm telling you, Mike the first pitch like they should be. They should be there. In tennis should be way the hell up after the first pitch for the second pitch to happen. And there's still nothing and by the way reasons ticked off with the way. He's. He hit the bat with the one hand and smashed together. Eat moved the bat by by wack in the bat. I can kind of understand that the team is pulling back a little bit because you just had Bryce getting tossed from the previous game because he was showing emotion. I think it had a real negative effect on the the there's a pallor that's fallen over this this team in terms of the way, they express themselves. I gained a lot of respect for JT real Mutoko. And I lost respect for everyone else. And I guess for me Bryce Harper gets a pass on this one because he's probably thinking don't do anything stupid and get tossed from another game. I'm mike. The most entertaining. Most entertaining, I'm going to say who can put the most seats butts in the seat. I'm gonna say Paul McCartney McCartney, all right? Dan, Paul McCartney James would you make the of the incident to outs? Thanks bizarre. I it's completely nothing. It's totally intention. Let's just be real twice twice. It's nine nothing. I've talked about this before that's one of the instances. Sometimes you'll see it. I mean, it's so late though. It's so absurdly obvious. I mean, the Phillies have got to do something. Right. I don't think they have a choice, and and it's going to be tough because you would think the empires would start the game out tonight by saying we're tossing anyone who does anything. So. They need to win. Look they made the point of saying we sent down we're ever matters all this stuff. So you have to walk a tight wire tonight. But to the whole thing, I think it was incredibly Bushley. Can they start reliever? Yeah. Not the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, actually. Yeah. Why that we did a fifteen suspension? It'd be something. If gave Kappler started a reliever and the first guy he faces he plunked Kappler gets a massive suspension. It'd be like five GATS. Yes. There's no question. But I think it was Bush league. And I mentioned it before. But first and foremost like you said, you don't wait until the ninth inning of a nine nothing game to do it. If you're going to retaliate from the night before you do it earlier in the game. That's just the way it works. But even more. So like, I said the biggest thing that hits me is the retaliating for something that wasn't on purpose. Like, even a bet flip would you know, I think is ridiculous to retaliate for at least. There was some sort of purposeful thing that team did you the I did retaliating because pictures lost control their pitches and hit guys is it's Bush leak. It didn't surprise we'll sit as it didn't surprise me though, given given that the Mets have been hit the previous series a couple of times. I mean, you know, their batters probably looking at their pitchers like yoga, this is going his we we weren't in tune with that. But there guys got hit the previous series. I heard about that prior to last night's game. I didn't know that doing our show yesterday. But they've been hit the previous series. They get hit twice two nights ago by the. Phillies. The one guy really dodged a bullet. Where it obviously, you know could have broken I think it was his rest his hand in there didn't break could've. So if you're them your, but it is it is like, I don't know how to put this. It is so absurd that it is with two outs in the ninth inning. I mean, he's like it is so over the top. But, you know, look, I do expect something tonight by the capitol. How that guy doesn't get tossed issue warning? And then he does it again. I mean, that's I've no idea. I didn't get tossed that game. I agree with you. There's also one other thing there's a story within the story, and this could be going on for a long time now. And I wondered if this is why they did it when they did it. Resort skins has become kind of like a targeted guy. He's the plunked ridiculous. I mean, it's like it's funny because I mean, I shouldn't say it's not the right word. He's a he's a great, dude. He's a helluva player. It strikes me. Like, maybe his public comments about how he doesn't like it is maybe part of why they do it to him. I don't know. I mean, he's obviously one of the three or four most prominent Phillies, but it almost feels like, you know, like, I wonder if the Mets pick it that with him. Jeez, public comments. What do you mean? Like last night. He was so. Going back to reserve going back to spring training. Like he was clearly annoyed. Trainings. He spoke out, and that also so I just wondered if it's one of those things like, you know, what if we're going to get anybody. Let's go after that guy. It seems the bother him extra. Let's go after he's one of the three or four best Phillies players that's part of it. Also, you're going to be more inclined to go after him. Then, you know, Phil Goslin just are 'cause it's more of a message. But it it did strike me. Like, I wonder if Hoskins the way he's presented the issue before leads to them say, let's let's choose him seems by it. Well, no one's gonna be comfortable going out there and having a ball thrown at their head. I do think I think there's something to everything in baseball is examined in crossings Aminuddin dug into and it's all, you know, there's it's Matthey and schematics and this is a young player who just came up two years ago. And he's but a lot of people's estimated a front runner to be baton in a heck of a lot of. You know runs this season. And maybe they think, you know, his relative lack of experience can hurt him, and they can get him off his game more easily than they could guy with more. All right. "And night, but shooting just shy of fifty percent from the three point line by as much as his game unraveled last year in the playoffs. He had a great regular season for Houston last year, and he's hurt. So when he comes back, the clippers we'll have another veteran they can play and mantras Herro like we talked about earlier just becoming an absolutely and dismiss. Player on this team in the fourth quarter. There's no egos. You can see Tobias Harris is the star on this team. He's the guy he's leading score putting up twenty one point Sogame even in a contract year, where if there's ever a time when a player is going to be a little greedier and a little more focused on me getting my shots Tobias playing the role that he's asked to play in the fourth quarter, the boggles shoes his hands like you said a lot I three quarters, but in the fourth quarter he's out there doing what he needs to do they run? Some we've action they run. A lot of action and they look at matchups and if Tobia says the best defender on him, they're working through and through mantras or they're going to Nilo or wherever they're going. So I appreciate when I watched his team how hard they play and how selfishly their play how they play without egos on the office, especially in the fourth quarter, close games. So I don't know how sustainable this is. I don't know if they can stay top four and the west all season long outta love to see them. Stay as a solid playoff team. This is the way basketball supposed to be played. They're not as talented. And just you know, the mix of players like Patrick Beverley playing but say you'll just Zander the rookie was playing off the bench and just a really wide variety players. But. You're like a serious turn while we need five minutes from. Yeah. He's ready. He's repaired he goes in. He makes an impact he doesn't hurt. You like what the thing about those that he might sit five straight games you need for four minutes of the game. He's prepared. He mows the gape plan. He knows what he's doing. And so that that to me no matter who they play if you'll bring max effort, you're gonna lose against us team. I don't know that. That's what happened with the wizards the fish eating a really opened that over the wizards felt like kind of a landslide sober could get their footing. But shea is already. He's like this team's best of permanent offender, and this has Patrick by really on it. I mean, he's he's a problem. He's doesn't always know what he's doing on offense. He's in the wrong spot. Sometimes I'll call that at the end the very first possession and the overtime. Memphis. Memphis time game, right? They. That was that was over time up. Yeah. So first clippers possession. You can hear dogs unmistakable. Always clearly shea supposed to be in the corner on the weakside these hanging out on the strong side with two other guys. Just like right in the middle. We're trying to operate doc is going. Shea shea here waiting to the corner, and shades is not even doesn't know what to do. Then you hear GED's? After he's in duck, Alzheimer's every Bradley plays the way, I think shaded comeback in. I. Dorothea? But like the very first play. It was an AT. Oh, and he was lined up in the wrong spot. So he has some figuring out sometime that offense. But defensively he knows how to use his length to get stripped to make just uncomfortable the dribble the hall right in front of him those sorts of things if they had like a defensive rookie of the year. He'd probably be right there. I need to get around to seeing Orlando play big on how you know. They're big rookie is doing defensively. Come up on our docket yet. But. Yeah. Mantras bitch amongst bits players league, six points and rebounds. Second Fogel percentage..

"Me home is back, and there's a pet waiting just for you. Welcome back crystals. We're gonna continue our conversation about volunteering at act Philadelphia. It looks ask about some of the other things. What's it like being a volunteer? Someone who is coming in. They're giving their time freely there to help what's it like working alongside people who are there to get paid. Do you feel like the staff is very welcoming to the volunteers not exactly now? And unfortunately act is very understaffed though. A lot of time us volunteers are doing the kennel attendance jobs because these poor dogs are sitting in there, you know, he season in south, and we don't like to see that. So we'll end up picking up the mash in cleaning the kennels out and making sure dogs are at comfort in. This environment as the best. We can. Yeah. I mean, it's not the first time. I've heard this. It seems to be a real theme in the world of animal welfare and the volunteering community that you know, it's you have you have two different segments of people people who are there as and they're working hard and they're doing the best. They can. But they're understaffed they're under resource, and then you have volunteers who are giving your time. Really what you're there for what you care most about. It's the care of the animals, right? So you will take it a little step further. Right. You're the ones doing laundry till eleven o'clock. And I mean, I've been there I've seen it all in tears working their butts off, it's pretty amazing. And again, I think it's so important to talk about what we can do like, we know there's these issues. What can we do to make it better? You know, when more volunteers help, you would actually Adelphia is it more money coming in from the city. What is it that? We can we can actually take action on if you had to answer that question. What would you say? I guess well, I know they get I think they could grants the more volunteers and stuff. There are for the more hours set out always definitely helps. Hangs out. Yep. Exactly. So and I know right now, especially at act Philadelphia. There's a lot there's a lot of change happening on the executive level. My understanding is that there is a new executive director coming in her name. Susan Russell, she was the previous executive director from Chicago animal care control. And what I've heard, you know, just anecdotally and early in the animal welfare community in the volunteers is that people are excited. She was a very big advocate for the volunteers in Chicago. And I think she's going to be a really positive change for the city of Philadelphia. How would you say you feel and your other volunteer? Other people in the volunteer corps feel about Susan coming in on their excited. I'm really hoping she's the miracle that this place needs a lot of volunteers are very excited as well as well as the staff to. Yeah. I'm really excited, and I've actually reached out to Susan, and we're going to be seeing each other at the beginning of November for a sit down to chat, and you know, mostly about what I'm doing with your pet and how we can be a resource to act Philadelphia. But also, I just wanna share with her because I've heard from so many people saying we can't wait for season to get here. So it's really cool to see that sort of energy and excitement about a change. That's happening in Philadelphia called. All right. Well, let's switch gears. Let's talk about what we got together to talk about today. Let's talk about these two dogs that you're trying to find homes for we've got let's start. Let's start by talking about shea shea. What does he look like how did he end up in animal control take it from there? Okay. Was originally owner surrender and she's been there for a couple of months now, she's white. She has a couple of spots. She's an absolute sweetheart, she's laid back. He's around or years old. She actually got adopted recently. Couple of weeks ago, and she was returned within two days due to no fault of her own the person who adopted her was getting addicted. So he brought it back to the shelter and back this square one on she just an absolutely an amazing God, I love her to death. She sounds incredible. And gosh. And so I heard you say owner surrender any idea why she was originally surrendered? I did not that paperwork wasn't in her sleeve. So that I do not know. Okay. So what do you think her ideal home is you know, there's going to be people listening to this podcast? We want to we want to tell people share is the dog for you. And this is the environment. She wants to live, and what was that environment? I would say shy shea on. He's a pretty laid back as I mentioned, she would do best with honestly, I would probably say she's not dog aggressive or anything. So she probably do good in a home with other pets. I'm not sure about cats. We don't do the fat evaluations. He's go with kids. I always say it's better to have like a probably six in up old just because you don't want the kids all over your dog. But yeah, I think she would do good with just about anyone honestly and someone who can give her the time in love that she deserves. What's your favorite thing about her? What is what does she loved to do when you guys get together in volunteer when you're volunteering? What does she like to do most? She loves the kiss kiss. He doesn't really like play too much outside. We try to get like throw the balls and south, but she's not kill ended at you know, she might be but in the shelter environment. There's so much, smells and so much going on. Sometimes they can't focus on the toys, but she's always focused on the volunteers giving them kisses and affection. So if you're looking for an affectionate dog shea is the one the pack, and I heard you say she's been at the shelter for a few months now. Yeah. I I hate to ask the question. But given our earlier conversation has she been timestamped does she at risk in the shelter. I mean, all dogs are at risk of the shelter. We know that. But if she at more arrests being a pit bull type dog economic now. She's not she's always happy. She doesn't show any signs of deteriorating as of now. So yeah, thankfully, thankfully. She sounds like a pretty resilient girl. Well, okay, great. So shea sounds like the perfect dog for someone who's fairly laid back wants to get kisses all the time. And I see you said that she's mostly white no issues with hearing is she hearing everything's fine with that. She. Yes, she hears good. Yeah. Good. Okay. The only reason I ask us. We know a lot of all white dogs mostly white dogs can be death. Somebody's always ask that question. So we think she would do well in a home with other dogs kids over the age of six hobbling, not cats. But it could always be a possibility if she found the right home with the right cats. I'm in a fairly active lifestyle. Would you say or mostly couch potato type person, it's hard to say, honestly? But like when she's out she's real killing sessions, not playful. So I would say she's more of a cat should be more of a couch potato. Okay. All right. So in another dog that you wanted to tell us about today was named Dakota. So can you tell me a little bit about Dakota's, physical appearance? And and also how he or she ended up at Adam control. Okay. So the coda is a female, and she is all gray. She as well has been at the shelter for a few months now. So we like to try to promote the term residents. I she's a great dog. She's house train. He's playful affectionate at the whole package. I have to look up. I forget her age. I think she's on the younger side what she she's house sharing as I said, I believe she was a stray that came in and was never claimed. Okay. I mean, it definitely changes things do you? I know there's a lot of. Of work being done to reunite pets that have been lost and that end up at the shelter, and you know, it's no different in Philadelphia or anywhere else. And there's great tools out there. How long remind me again the stray time hold is forty eight hours in the city of Philadelphia. Is that right? Yeah. Legally it has to be minimum forty eight hours. Okay. So she came into the shelter. She was held for forty eight hours to give her previous owners the opportunity to reclaim her. They did not. And now she's been there for a few months looking for her adoptive com. What would you say is her ideal home environment, her ideal home? I think she's good with other dogs. She's had good dog needs. And all so I think she would do well with other dogs against someone who has time on not sure how she is with children. Because as you know, we don't evaluate that either unless somebody comes in with their child than that happens during that time. But yes, she's a great girl. I'm looking at the picture you sent she's beautiful dog. Yeah. She's three years old approximately three years old. Okay. Yeah. I mean, we she could tell us what her her whole story is. But I know we're not going to be able to get that from her, unfortunately. So if anyone out there listening is interested in adopting shea or to you can find a link to their profiles on this episodes page on pet life radio. And you know, if you're interested opting pet, and maybe these dogs are not for you. I encourage you to visit us at get your pet dot com or to go to your local shelter. There is definitely a wonderful animal out there that needs you. And before we wrap up today show. I have one more story that I want to share with our listeners when I first started reaching out to volunteer groups in the area about finding a guess for today's show. One thing really stood out to me. I volunteer respond immediately to Facebook. It's pretty amazing especially pleased that involve getting exposure for pets in need or getting pets into adoptive homes. But more than that all the volunteers that responded, they responded by recommending a fellow volunteer. Not a single person raised their hand saying, yes, I want to be interviewed. And we really only convinced crystal to come on. On the show after a significant amount of public peer pressure. And I believe the reason for this is that following tears are perfectly content working hard behind the scenes. They don't ever look to be in the limelight. They simply do it because they want to help animals or people or whatever their chosen causes. And so I want to end the show with a quote of another unknown Arjun.

"May think that the great American sport of football is all about speed and muscle about the most valuable players, and the best coaches, but I'm here to tell you tonight that there is such a thing as the spirituality a football. It may very well be that the ability to win or lose a Super Bowl may be contained right here in this little red flannel charm bag, y'all may call it a Mojo bag, but we in the crescent city in New Orleans Carl yet a Gregory bag. Now, I began my meteoric rise to fame as a voodoo priestess in the world of NFL sports. On a cold December day in the year, two thousand I was called upon by the New Orleans Saints to perform a miracle. In the super dome. The saints often called aints. Had never won a playoff game in thirty four years. And to make matters worse. They were playing the Saint Louis Rams. So they decided that they would bring in the big guns. And that would be me. Europe REEs Jones. Now, the problem was compounded. By the fact that the super dome was built on an ancient cemetery. And you know, it's really not cool to go. Plop, a sports facility on top of somebody's ancestors. It's just not kosher. So many felt that that was the reason for the less than stellar record of the saints over the years. So somebody got the bright idea what Karl and a k she'll fix it. You know? And I love my city. I love the saints. You know, and I'll try anything once. So I came to the Superdome equipped with my dance troupe. Macoumba drummers and dancers. My pet boa constrictor spree. Fruits and flowers for the ancestors and a fifth of Gordon's dry gin. But the spirits, of course. Now, I in my dance troupe a marching towards the forty five yard line with all of the determination of Dr Peter vakman and the other Ghostbusters. You know, I have a job to do. I'm going to get the job done. So I'm on the forty five yard line. And it's a good omen because foreign five equal. What nine nine is the number of my patron goddess. Oh, yeah. And oh, yeah. Is the bodice up the wins the hurricanes? She's the Queen of the cemetery. The marketplace the ancestors, and she is also the goddess of change and God knows we needed a change. So right there on the forty five yard line. We began the drumming in the dancing. I take out a spree. You know, and I'm dancing this dance for them Bala the voter serpent God in honor of Maria. Vo pouring this gen right at the forty five yard line. You know, you know, the the the energy and the Superdome was so thick you could cut it. What a knife. I'm holding up the Greek re Bank. Okay. God, I'm I'm holding my Greek re back to sixty seven. One thousand fans, and we're cheering the a men. I shea shea shea and just imagine sixty seven thousand fans cheering back at me. I shea shea shea and I held the Gregory up. My snake the Votto doll, and I told the fans we got our Mojo working, and they all said, yes. Indeed. Yes. Indeed. And I was feeling pretty good at that point. You know, I said Lord, I know that the ancestors are appeased, you know, the fans are, you know, becoming loyal again to the saints. I've motivated them, and I know the ancestors under the dome are but being a good Catholic girl. Okay. I was not gonna take any chances. And Furthermore, when I entered the Superdome, I had run into father, John who was the former pastor of Saint Jude's now for those of you who don't know. Saint Jude is the Saint of difficult and impossible cases, you know, it's like say June. The saints were made for each other. Rush off to Saint Jude's. I stay in the church, you know, making my invocations in talking to Saint Jude until they put me out the church. That didn't get me. So I'm outside the church in the car before Saint Jude's in the freezing cold listening to the game on the radio on my knees. Screaming at anyone who would pass. You know, I'd give money to beggars drunks. Anybody who would pass because I didn't want to block my karma. Okay. I mean, I really gave out more money that day. Just anybody some of these people on you align, but I didn't wanna take any chances. So I'm listening, and you know, the saints are winning. They are just winning and winning. And I'd run out of the car. Get on my knees board little Jen right for the church. You don't have. Thank the ancestors. The same thr- ancestors to you know, they're just ancestors and the charts. I give them some Jen. But something happened. I think the saints started to get a little too cocky, okay? And you know, vanity is one of the seven deadly sense. So I got the after port another Quaker. Jan Jan bottle was getting kind of low. I save some because I had other work to do. So we drove all of our Congo square. And Congo square is a very spiritual place for African Americans. It's the only place where my ancestors could lawfully gather in great numbers and sold the the spirits of the African ancestors, a strong and powerful they're so Ellen over to Congo square in the dark got on my knees quarter, another swig Aegean and proceeded to talk to the ancestors in Congo square. So I'm carrying on this dialogue at my favorite tree. Where the ancestors conquer great. Tell them look. This is me y'all know me, I'm just asking your favorite. I'm just asking you to please go talk to the ancestors at the dome and just tell them, you know, y'all got a dialogue going out there on the spirit world. So you go talk to them for me. So I'm on my knees in Congo square. Pouring gin, praying and lo and behold, I hear it on the car radio for some unknown. Reason. But we know why. This. I mean this good player with the Rams fumbled the ball. And they heard it. These fumble. The saints have won the first playoff game in thirty four years. You know, it's like, I couldn't believe it. So I pour another swig Aegean. And I hate it toward the super dome. The on the way they are stopped at the cemetery by the grave of the great Marie lovo and poured out my this was truly my last swig of gin, and I headed to the super dome, and of course, people have recognized me from the earlier ritual, and they were shouting who. And I'm screaming like an idiot. God let the dogs out. Thank you. Shanking that rattled blessing the crowds. You know? I mean, it was glorious. It was just mad. Never sent. You know, it was it was a Saturday Night Live moment right there in the dome, and I tell you this was just the best. And this is how I became the voodoo priestess of the NFL. In fact, I ended up in time magazine, I was on HBO ESPN CNN, and I'll tell you what the mother low for me was I ended up in the New York Times..

"So I'm and here's the thing about Christa Flores. He's the guy that got the tattoo of Mason and Ireland. And then we changed the logo. Thank you. I was going to say that the city. We went to the shield. He's got the old school of. But you know, what it's like retro can you go? It's a throwback. Back to that. Well, again, no, it's not required. We're giving them a full hour without getting a tattoo car. He was fantastic. Any of these people that are coming in to fill in Monday. Like, I would bring Christian Florida's back to fill in for John. I'm sure you would I'm sure you would. Who's gonna come in? No, Dan, a little. Little don't think you can make that happen. You know? Certainly we're not gonna pay. But yeah. So that's going to be Monday. I'm I'm looking forward to that. We were looking for a way to suit or veterans last year. We did a show from the VA that she were bringing veterans into coast show and by the way and demonstrate how easy it is to do. It's very easy radio. Just get on the air and say things, and it doesn't the beauty of it is most of it has to be right. But if some of it's wrong, that's part of the deal. What is the percentage of things that have to be right? It's not fifty. No, no. I think it's fifty. I don't know about that. I if you I'm half right half the time. So if you're if you speak with great confidence and assurance authorities drive that point. Yes, you probably wanting to be right about fifteen percent of time. Fifteen percent shooting blind. What is your moving onto the next day aren't moving onto the next thing. Like, nobody's remember we mentioned Jake. What Mason does which is just totally disavow what you said twenty minutes ago. What did I disavow your you've done the thing before on purpose where you like, let's switch sides of the argument the classic. Me and Ireland argue fiercely about a subject, and then we go to a commercial break, and we switched sides and see if anybody knows so secret people, I mean, they listen, and they're they're tuning into the station. But they don't here. I had shows right sitting in for Dell for like, no. They don't listen. Listen, listen read, a book that could be your your fifth row new slogan here here or listen, people call it Trudell man what we've been doing last two and a half hours. "A science experiment gone terribly wrong. Here's what's coming up on the nice guys on business. I going to tell you when you said that like a hundred fucking comments fly through my mind is such a softball like I've so they're low. Andy walks. The bases loaded on twelve straight pitches. How can the nice guys Lael pitches that close? I, thou shall take out the holy pin, then thou shalt count to three, no, more. No less four, thou shalt not count, then count thou to expecting thou then proceed to three five is right out. Once the number three being the third number be reached. Then lavas thou the holy hand grenade of Antioch towards the nice guys on business need an education on how to grow your business. The nice guys are here to help learn about great customer service networking and how just being nice can help you prosper. Now hero, you're. Host, Doug Sandler and Strickland Bonner your fourteen percent or are we going to crap out? Do we need a quick episode. Oh, I see. They turned off the mega maze. So I've got a fourteen percent more WI fi before it dies and nuts. So it's ok, never. Okay. Joining to stop recording some reasons. Why that you need to tell me. Do we have anything private lives? Nothing. Right. Hey, look and fans. Welcome back. Welcome back by the way, whatever it is the beginning of this recording. I'm sure it's all going to be in the recording because you know what? There's nothing private between Doug and I, it's all about the fuck advanced love you guys in. We are completely transparent with you. I don't even. I can't even imagine what in my life would be so private that I cannot share it with the nice guys on business podcast. What would that be? Imagine anything so private that I couldn't share it with the three or four thousand people download every episode of this easy asked show. It's not like anybody ever held anything against me in really. I mean, never. I mean, I've, I've talked relationship stuff. I've talked health stuff. I've talked GMO things you and I have gotten in arguments. I've gotten in arguments with with ex wives. I've had my kids on the show. I mean, what? What else could possibly go wrong on this show? Well, having said that I'm going to spend the virtual meal. Yeah, I don't have the wheel because I'm not at home. Right? But I'm, I'm still in Connecticut. I know come for anybody that doesn't know anything about banking as listen to the Tuesday show. We talked about sensitively, so go back and listen. If you didn't listen, hang on. I'm looking through the topics because the tie what you just said about being transparent is one of your topics. And now I can't. I don't know on being transparent was one of the topics. I mean a happy to talk. About transparency but was topics. It was indirectly topic because it was something about your relationships. Where's that topic? Oh, yeah, yeah. Whitney. The topic was I wanted to my relationship, woes and successes. I wanted to share one men women, and that's exactly. Okay. Doug, go ahead please. It's actually actually so so JJ zan's. And created this other podcasts because struggle with tired of hearing, hearing me being the why. Why he knows bitch. Tired of it. So JJ and I while she had already had this show called, I spell the wrong actually put men, women and relationships as actually. But it is women men in relationships. Some. Sorry, I'm laughing because as you're saying that looking at the page in one note chain, you're making changes to Beijing. I wanna to make sure it's very clear what I did I corrected myself. So if you if you were curious exactly what has happened, speaking of total transparency, it's not that I don't wanna share exactly what has happened in my life, but Strickland is frankly, he's probably tired of hearing it for me and everybody that knows me because all they do is complain about how all I do is complain. So we're, we're talking about total transparency, right? Yeah, sure. Go ahead. I'm going to be totally transparent with. Okay, I am. I am far less tired of hearing about your relationship Bose. I don't want to say I find it interesting. Interesting makes them sound kind of trite and it's because your your relationship was more the trait. They're very important four before you share what you're about to share, though I wanna let you know that the next sentence that you say you're going to hurt my feelings. Well, maybe possible. Things more. What I'm totally fine hearing about your because I think any information about relationships, whether they're good better and different, I think is great information for people to hear and learn. I'm much. I'm not really tired of hearing about that. I am tired of hearing about how fucking corn is the worst on nude body in fucking GMO's in the chemicals and the all the fucking California should that you've adopted less two months. So hold up. Hold up. Hold up. It's interesting. You say that because when we had our production call just earlier tonight, I was explaining the trials and tribulations of trying to put my essential oils in my diffuser. Thank you. That's exactly piling on his exactly the kind of that. I am really fucking. That's the best that is the greatest thing. And then I held up a little a little jar of my Himalayan sea salt. I love this this entire experience here on the west coast. It's been so amazing. So. So. I'm sorry, did you owns now to calm myself? So I don't get upset to hear more about all of your California lifestyle, hey, strategy strikes. You'll you'll like this part though. I just made arrangements to have my Harley shipped out here so that my life will be will be coming slowly. The east coast will slowly be moving its way to the west coast. I will no longer just be able to transport myself from one spot to another in either my my beach cruiser bicycle mice, GameBoy or my skateboard I will actually have a motorized vehicle. So what you're saying is that when when you're cyncial oils are not quite there and win, your shock crews are not quite valid. I never said the words. Shocker I've is. You will be able to hop onto your fucking American-made Harley. Davidson. Motorcycle fucking crank it up to about one hundred twenty guests Ables of caffeine. Looking exhaust sound to drive around LA in piss off all the people in their silent Tesla's to get all those shock RAs back in light. Again, I approve of this one hundred percents oh my gosh, I love it. I love it. Well, I'm glad that you approve at least of one portion of my west coast lifestyle, but I have to tell you straight when you were here and you were hanging pull side and you were doing karaoke and singing who songs from inside the poll, and we would podcast inside the pool. You weren't fucking complaining then were you motherfucker. Shea shea? Yes, that is an excellent retort, Doug you. You'd make an excellent point. When I maybe I may have few words, but they are. They are wise words and their well-placed. My friend, well-placed, look, I really wanted to make that argument. I would make the same argument about that that I would have been about Vegas, right? I love going to Vegas. Vega since January. February? Yeah, long fucking time as a long time. For many months? Yeah, I would never alike visiting Vegas Vegas like escape. And on the trade shows, it's gambling relaxing? Yeah, I would never want live there personally. I kind of feel the same way away. I really like to visit. I'd love to see you again and I did. I loved have the pool hanging out with your friends and like recording podcasts at the pool and Chilin. I just don't think I could live there. You know what? I really like about it a lot. I think that I think that this was an unusual kind of extra bonus that it didn't realize that I was getting is then I love the fact that when it's nine o'clock my time, it's midnight your time, and I'm still feeling in that zone with you because like for me, twelve o'clock is was way too late to do anything, but you are always up for it for me, nine o'clock is like mice. Okay. Let's give a little backstory. Right? You love the details right old. Three Marquette, yes. So when I came out to visit the first time I've visit you and JJ. Right, and we're talking it was after San Diego, and we're just talking in very general terms, hey, turnkey needs some help, and we technical person. We may need some more MR and JJ says, hey, I noticed remarks, right? And she's great. And I, I really think she'd be right for you. And by the way, I think, let's let's reach outdoors you. She can come hang out with a site. You can be. Okay, cool. That was that was a good, hang out actually. So we call her and she's like, sure I can hang out today and you and me and Jane Martin, we all know hanging out drinking like tricky. Keep our red light long. Right? We had a great time. We Marjorie very well, we, we clicked. It was great. So not only was it that she had the right skill set, but she was the right personality type, right, great personality, great attitude, and I love her right, I do too. So we hired her on the teeth. She's now a permanent full time. Part of the turnkey team. You helping us out with all kinds of great stuff. So a couple of weeks. I think it was about a week ago. We were talking about how we can find a tax shelter or something like that for the twelve dollars in turn key. So when when I'm able to chat with her on as the as the as the temporary co host or maybe the part time could not temporary that Jesus, that'll be horrible and temporary Colo's to be the part time. Co host of women. Men in relationships was great about it is we take actually this entire fucked up thing that has happened to me in my relationships in my an and where I might look at it on nice guys as a completely like, oh my God, my life is going down this horrible. You know this horrible path and look what's happened. You know, when I come on her show and we actually ended up having a conversation about it. My life begins to make much more sense. Maybe every maybe an and we discovered this when we were in Baltimore, just just a week or so ago. And and you know, I'm I'm sitting there in the chair and we're having we're having Bret or is sitting there in the booth. And we're having a breakfast with a buddy of mine. And I said, I don't even know where this this, this, this, this thought came, but I'm like, hey, maybe everything that has happened in my life up to this point, the divorces and you know the the people that have been mad at me and all this, the the exile in the stress and the all of the shit that has happened in my life. Maybe all of that. If I'm looking at this from a different filter, if I'm looking from this at a different angle in perspective, maybe this all happened for a reason that is positive to teach me something that I'm going to be able to take the next part of my life. And I'm like, I would never have been able to think those thoughts. I would always been. I would always been thinking, why the fuck did this all happen to me rather than this happened to me for a specific reason and it was an intended reason and it's a part of this this just this this path that I'm on, that's this is. Contract that I have made with myself. And when you look at it that way, it's like nothing in life ever happens for a reason poorly. It all happens for to teach you a lesson. So that's what we cover in women. Men relationships if you want to a slightly still a funny part of me, but a much more serious funny part of me. Listen to that that show because we do get into kind of deep with with relationships here. Here's where we just bash everything going on in my life on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and that is that is okay with me or the beginning of the show were hash you for the whole California lifestyle? Yes. GMO's in the corn is not instable. Okay. The comment that you just made about in hate? Maybe everything that has happened to me is actually happened for he said, yes, if that is part of the California lifestyle that support I agree with. I'm going to tell you. Is my bell. Bell. That is my philosophy, our percent, they're no such thing as stakes. There's no such thing as bad things that happen to you. And by the way, this big overall picture big picture. Yeah, could almost maybe be considered business advice if you want to consider business vice. Although we haven't given business advice on the guys. In a long time. So I don't wanna break that streak ship, but we do. It's just only three fifths of the week is business advice, the two-fifths of the week, known as Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is also one hundred percent of your time, which means that the only common element in the dysfunction of our Tuesdays and Thursdays is used stricklin. Realize that right despair dot com. Won't you realize that the only comment denominator in all of your dysfunctional relationships. I love that anyway. So back to I am one hundred percent of the belief in the philosophy, and I am so down with this. I am so aligned with this. That. Bad things don't happen. Okay. Mistakes don't happen and horrible things. Don't happen there to things that happened there, either successes or there are less when something bad happens. It's not like over. Just fucking horrible. And why the fuck did this happen to me new? It's trying to teach you something who knows what it is. And sometimes at the time it happens, it just not seem obvious. It doesn't seem like this could be productive. It doesn't seem like this could be something positive because it's something so horrible. You know what? Sometimes you just got to be patient go, you know what? Positives and I am a hundred percents on our that. I'm feeling there is a little bit of business advice in there somewhere. And now you've gone and spoiled it for everybody. Dammit pay for those of you who only listen to the Tuesday and Thursday show and completely Shum the month. Monday was your Friday because you don't want MRs vice. I'm sorry. I apologize. I didn't mean to infuse just a tiny bit of what might be considered business advice into the to say, while I got you on while I got you on a little bit of Iran tear just just talking in general, just as your as your. River, your verbally vomiting here. Can you explain it? I'm not. I don't wanna get into the politics of this. I just want to get into the understanding of where we stand with this. Do you know what's going on? Because I have not followed it at all. Other than through my CNN alerts.

"Your opportunity, take, advantage of opportunities don't come that often and when you. Get a chance you grab, it and so I think coach win with the quarterback he felt comfortable with they feels good about and he's gonna You know it's the first time. That he's announced the starter it's, new but hey. It's new season it's a new year coming off. For eight and five. Season not too excited about that wasn't I. Mean he went back and he hey he looked. At himself in the mirror I mean that's. What he did he, took an overview. And he, didn't like what he saw so he changed things, players can, come, in, and give him. It vice he's willing to listen to his doors open it's. Always been open but more open Jamie and I'm sorry I was kinda I was. Answering the phones as you were talking I'm. Assuming you're talking about, coach Harbaugh sure And that was what I. Was going to bring up again I think that that's the biggest part of today not that shea shea Patterson is our starting quarterback but, what we're seeing, is the evolution, of of coach. Harbaugh were again, any good coach or, anybody, who's a great, pioneer in their. Business whether they're CEO you're constantly changing you're constantly. Adapting you're constantly learning you learn from. Mistakes You've had over the past not the, past? Two years and again not to say him being out there as much as he was in the media, and stuff like that that was a mistake but again he's he's taking a deep breath from last year he's taken what. Do we need to really really focused on and you. You're right this is just one thing that is one example. Of something that's different from. Last year right him being, a little bit more open again with. Players being, able to come and tell him because again who's. Gonna have the best criticism the guys that, he's he's, gone with coach in each and every day these his players these are the ones he recruited that he brought here. These. Are the guys that he went to their parents. House he slept the, night over he had dinner. With a he ate whatever food he ate there I mean these are these are the kids that he recruited and also as we see, with Jordan McNair, obviously Maryland he, is responsible for. Their health being, while they are here So he look you you gotta give him credit looked, at himself in the. Mirror evaluated, himself evaluated his program made changes made quite a few coaches, changes in the offense of staff, going with a collaborative Alfred? Aka he's. The offense coordinator going to get input from the coaches but we're okay with that don't, need? Offense coordinator if you know the head man wants to run the offense he's calling the place suggested plays, coming down from a on top the booth in the coats in the coaches perch I'll call it so you got the. Right guys giving you the place I got to do. Is call that's all who do you think's going to be. The one I initiating the. Play call well I think, you're gonna have you have Jim mcelwain. Up there, and you have pep Hamilton up there pep was. The one that made them gave the calls, down, there, last time I don't see a change I think pep and Jim mcelwain work together put it offense put, an a, game plan together figure it out work with Warner from a, running game perspective get it. Gathered talk more you. Talk to Jay Harbaugh boop everybody knows everybody's doing their job, everybody's got their specific assignment right dude do their job but again, so you you would imagine her your guess would, be that would. Be a one call on those plays wants game time rolls around I think mcelwain pep. Are both. Talking in see what defense is coming in I think they're both talking about? Running, or you know looking. At down in distance and then going going with the play and you know? I mean I got three place running place but it looks they all look. Different my moves different ways. Block different ways basic Just make it work. That's all, you do look and it's going to look different anyway because you're gonna put a little you go put a little you're gonna put. A little wrinkle in it as I said. The shotgun every now and then. Man go I mean she gets on the, center so, you got things going on I mean that's it seven three four. Nine and eight, hundred fifty, seven three four nine and eight, hundred fifty give. Us a call the. Phones are open do, you think coach, hardball Made the right call, are you happy with the. Phone with the call. Of shape Patterson is. It too early for you CDF have waited till. The Notre Dame game or, do you like this new hey he found his quarterback he let he let the. Team know I'm sure the Team New but he let the? Public? Know who is starting quarterback is You know Before we.

My kids don't even see the windows because they're looking at their screens all the way down to where we're going, but go ahead but otherwise they're pretty much in earth that may soon change as the augmented reality era starts to invade them. All right. Ford has developed something called the field of you that uses haptic feedback transmitted via the window to create a tactile representation of what's outside. Okay. A camera captures the exterior seen converts it to two hundred and fifty five levels of gray that are each assigned, a level of feedback imparted to the glass vion attached haptic motor could go wrong since the visually impaired person. Some impression. Oh, that's outside. Oh, that's neat. GM has a prototype. Windows mecca, either work like an interest skits, display, motion related avatar for the kids or offer an a, our information overload. What's outside? Touchscreen imagine a messed up. Your windows are going to get. They're going to get slammed up by the kids just as with Homebase day, are these Ford GM efforts seek to put augmentation on services? You already use Mather rather than make you wear something cumbersome, like those, like headsets? Yeah. So they're going to actually imagine driving down the road and you can look out the window and if you drive past an actual establishment of some kind, it could tell you if they've got hamburgers on sale or something like that, or Toyota has an approach that is an a. r. photography hybrid, including the ability to zoom in on something outside using the window. That's crazy, not unlike the way you use the electric viewfinder idea l. are to check critical focus. Wow. So be. Billboards are going to be gone because literally, the advertisement will come right to your car screen as you drive past the Leiria scenery going by and you'll get into one of those driverless cars, and you might think that you're going down to the mall when it's taking you somewhere else. That is interesting. Imagine having display like that if it worked so the Mercedes f zero one, five concept car points to a new vision of what constitutes our car window. In some models, the lower door panels become virtual windows by displaying an image of the outside from an exterior camera. Wow, that mode can be overlaid with a our graphics or the pale and can be switched back to an OPEC displayed for media communications or navigation. Wow. Can you actually, I would love to see the rear window. Allow us to display to the guy behind you to get off your butt ride, but. But. Well, I would go more for the JAMES BOND approach. Just imagine tailpipe wouldn't need a bumper stickers. Interesting. So that's the future, I guess. But again, just imagine how expensive all the maintenance. I mean, the high tech jobs are going to be there guys because you know, you're going to have to be able to be a computer technician to work on a car door. How expensive those car doors going to be. Oh God. That's why they're are Mercedes. Well, you know, we all know we all have more money than we know what to do with, and I guess so. Well, that's interesting. That's an interesting interesting perspective. Put up a view of like you're traveling somewhere and you could be just sitting in your garage, right? Are we got a call from shea and north wind before they ended the show here so we can do for shea shea, what can we do for you? Oh, I updated my apple products. Eleven point, four point one.
