Pendergast. On Twitter is where you can get me there A lot of people sharing their thoughts on Twitter today. It was a good call from Todd to close out the last hour. Todd from Cleveland always has interesting thoughts and He talked about the impact of Aaron Rodgers. Of him, possibly The damage that he could be doing if he were to demand a trade. Or maybe even some, just some of the ways acted already sort of demanding the overall ecosystem up there in Green Bay. You know, there's a lot of people whose livelihood they're tied to Aaron Rodgers being a Green Bay Packer. And that's that's a tricky one. You know what's AH, what's a player's responsibility? To, uh what's a player's responsibility? If there is one, when it comes to withstanding Their own unhappiness for the sake of the greater good, not just of your team. But of the city and what you mean economically to the city like to Shawn Watson, demanding a trade from the Texans. Clearly is gonna have a negative impact on a whole lot of people other than just his 52 teammates. The people in that building over there. You know, texting games don't become must watch TV in all likelihood, anytime soon, Like they were went to Shawn Watson was The starting quarterback for the Texans. I mean, I guess technically, he still is, but he's I don't think he's showing up in the building anytime soon. So I mean, did you see if if if he sits there through what he feels is a year and a half or two years of mismanagement of the team, and he looks around and says, I'm 25 years old. Now put the lawsuits aside for a second, obviously. Talking about back in January, and he demanded the trade. Is there part of him? That's supposed to look around and go? Yeah, I'm demanding a trade I need I need to go somewhere. I feel I can win where I could be happy because I want to be happy, as is my right as a human being. I apologize to all 3000 bar owners in the Houston area who are gonna have be it probably half the capacity they were because I'm not on the team anymore. Like what degree of responsibility should he feel for that like that? That's a tricky one man like that is that is a tricky one. There's nothing in your NFL contract or there's nothing about leverage or negotiation that says You're responsible for the overall economic climate in the city. I would say. Maybe the team should have thought about that before they Made whatever moves got got them sideways with their quarterback, whether it's the Packers or the Texans. Very different situations, and it's not just cause of the lawsuits and they're just different situations because the teams are so drastically different. You know, the Packers are Without Aaron Rodgers. They've got a I think an above average roster. With Aaron Rodgers there Super Bowl contender maybe an average roster. The bottom line is a much better roster than the Texans who wither without to Shawn Watson are probably not a playoff team and without the Shawn Watson, they're probably in the suck for Spencer sweepstakes or whatever we're naming the Quarterback sweepstakes for this year. Don't you think we know who that quarterback's gonna be yet, but Spencer Rattlers and AM I saw this week the one consistency of the mock drafts for 2022 that I have seen. They all have the Texans picking first overall so far, I'm three for three. I saw the one on the athletic. I saw one on CBS Sports, and I saw Todd McShay is All of them. Have the Texans picking number one. Overall, only one of them has been taking a quarterback. Just what we need in Houston, another number one overall pick where the best player coming out as a defensive end. Thanks a lot. Thanks sports gods. 855 to 1 to four. CBS. Yeah. Don't you talk about Peyton and Aaron Rodgers? Yes, I agree with you. They would definitely take over Tampa Bay. Yeah, I think I think so, too. Are you Are you excited about Jamis this year, though? Like what? Your optimism level on the Saints this year, Pat. Oh, I think he has a good arm. I think that Hill Could really The event ations doing the same thing he did last year with breeze. Absolutely a perfect combo combo play with he and the quarterback on the field at the same time. And He has scored many hill that is scored many touchdowns. He is Tank. Quite, you know, with the goal line. Yeah. Pat, I appreciate the phone call. I appreciate you calling very much your pat. So sweet. Um Taysom Hill. Now that I preface saying, Patty so sweet because I'm not a big Taysom Hill fan. Model. Yeah, I think he's just kind of over using overrated entity. I agree with pat the part I agree with you. If they use him is sort of that gadget kind of thing you like they did with breeze, then that's cool. You don't want to act like it's something that's revolutionary. But that's fine. Like Sean Payton knows how to use it. He knows how to get the most out of it. It's when they start talking about tasting Hill. Being a starting quarterback for an NFL team is where I Get a little odd, you know, but it sounds like you're on board with Jamis Winston right now. "Dave Dave Europe on CBS Sports Reading. Hey, Johnny. Thanks for taking my call, man. I just want to jump in with some thoughts on Aaron Rodgers here, you know, I think to me the Packers have to do whatever it takes to hang onto. This guy in the Packers are so unique because We're not a team that's run like any other team because they don't have an owner on guy obviously thinks that you know, are really wacky because the cove it and they drafted, you know, love at the worst possible time. I feel like because there was no preseason, get any kind of game film on him. And I feel like they need to hang on to him because his window you know, it's still it is prime. I mean, he could still win a championship there. Um, he still can make all the throws. On, but I feel like to be. They haven't done enough to help him in some positions, and I feel like the other side of this too is you know you get rid of him, and he goes somewhere else. We saw what Peyton Manning did at the end of his career with Denver. You got that Got a franchise quarterback doesn't grow on trees. I mean, I'm a bills. I know this kind of stuff. So once you have one, you gotta hang on to that guy as long as you can hang on to him, so I'll take your thoughts, man. And you have a nice afternoon. All right, thanks. They appreciate the phone call. Always. Yeah, This is why, While the packages that are getting kicked around for Aaron Rodgers are very similar to the packages we saw get kicked around for this, Shawn Watson. The two situations for the teams that have each of these quarterbacks are very, very different. You know the Texans moving on from Watson. It's obviously much more complicated now, with all the legal stuff going on. But even before all the lawsuits with Shawn Watson, you could've made a case even before all the lawsuits. That trading to Shawn Watson. Made some sense. I don't know that I'm not to be clear. I cover the Texans. I do the pregame and postgame for the Texans. I do a morning show on their flagship station four hours a day, five days a week. So I'm his plugged in, at least from covering it. And giving my opinion on it is is anybody would be on the dish on Watson situation? I did not want the Texans to trade to Shawn Watson. Before all the lawsuits and everything else I did not. I was firmly and under Sean side when it came to his disappointment in in upper management. I probably changed a little on that now, like you know the position that to Sean at the very least by handling his business in a sloppy manner. Has MP and I mean that by he's admitted to some things that are just you know that they're not necessarily illegal, but not indicative of somebody who who would who would be handling their business the best way possible, So there is some feeling there like that. He's prevented the Texans from getting the rebuild started. So I'm less inclined to say Oh, please keep him if they move on, they move on. That's where I am now. But I think you could have made a case for moving on from the Shawn Watson before all the lawsuits that would've made sense if the Texans are getting four first round picks from the Jets and a player in a second round pick in this and that like that triggers your rebuild very, very quickly. It's not ideal, but Bill O'Brien left you in and not so ideal situation. But even with two Shawn Watson, the Texans are rebuilding Either way, So if you're moving on from two Shawn Watson, that's just a different way to do a rebuild. And that's a that's that is a that's a defendable point of view. I don't know that I'd agree, but you could defend it. I don't know that there's any defense from just capitulating to Aaron Rodgers. Really? I mean, you're you're in a yurt. In a short window where you are a Super Bowl contender. You were one game away from the Super Bowl. That's why I expect the Packers to be perfectly fine getting into a staring contest with Aaron Rodgers. If they trade him. What's their option? Their trade him? They start Jordan Love. If they keep him and he holds out Then they start Jordan Love. You know what I mean? Like it's so. They're very different situations. Eight by 5 to 1 to four. "Yeah, I'd like to start off by saying this wasn't first reason I called Gary Bettman's a tool. Just this is this hockey thing is a joke right now, the way he's running it. And not handing out fines of $5000 Fine, He prayed, laughed and painted in pennies is what he did was play what he did, and then the reason I called is I locked. It talked about how a couple years ago it was about how the relievers air starting games and you know they're most pitchers only pitching five innings. We already have four complete games this year. And no hitters. I mean, this is amazing this what's going on with the pictures? I'm not your what you think about it, and it's great and happy Mother's Day again. I Thanks, Truman yet it's cool. I like I I don't know how I feel about the no hitter thing. I was it a near no hitter earlier this season. And purely from a selfish standpoint, I like the proliferation of no hitters because it means I might be at one. That's one of my goals before I die is to be added no hitter in person, and I don't even care about the team. I root for getting no hit. I was in an Astros game. Uh, I don't know, Probably a week and a half ago, the day game against the Seattle Mariners. And, uh, the mayor, I forget who the Mariners starter was that day I apologized any you Seattle fans. Um, confusion. I think it was. But He had a no hitter into the seventh and I reached a point that game, I said, You know what? It's a long season. It's 162 games. I want to be at a no hitter. I am going to silently quietly route for this opposing pitcher to throw a no hitter so I can cross it off the list. So from that standpoint, I like the proliferation of no hitters because there's a better chance, albeit one. Do. I think it's good for the game, though. I don't know. I mean, I think I think it's symptomatic of The statistics that we saw throughout the month of April in early May and baseball, where there's just so many more strikeouts than hits. I think I saw the number of strikeouts was greater than the number of hits by like over 1000 in the month of April. And to give you some context, the next closest month in the history of baseball is like 700. 700 more strikeouts than hits. I think I'm quoting that correctly. But it was some ridiculous. It was some ridiculous number. We're really all you need to know is it guys are striking out way too much pitching is is probably Alright, Dominant to the degree that it might detract from the popularity of the sport. I hate shifts. I hate them. Hate them. Hate them hate them. Um, So yeah, I mean, it's cool and like it's it's awesome. Seeing pictures accomplished things. Okay? Yeah. No. Okay. Thanks Half. I appreciate the phone call. Appreciate you tuning in. I think Here's what I think in general about the Watson situation. I think that Shawn Watson is going to get traded eventually, but I think it's gonna happen before next year's draft. And I think the Texans will deal with whatever the drama is..

I think that Shawn Watson is going to get traded eventually, but I think it's gonna happen before next year's draft. And I think the Texans will deal with whatever the drama is. During the season this year, unless someone just comes in with a blow away offer in, you know, June July or whenever his issues get cleared up, you know, keep in mind to Sean is battling this thing right now from three different angles from The 22 civil plaintiffs. That's one angle really a 22 pronged angle. And then there's the criminal element of this, which is has not been dropped to my knowledge unless something's happened the last couple days and Pipala I've been in a couple college graduations last couple days or two of my kids. So I don't think I've seen anything happened with Shawn Watson on the criminal front, either positively or negatively for dish on And then there's the NFL, which could and may likely suspend to Shawn for some period of time. I don't know. We'll see. So there's a lot that still needs to be hashed out. So I my God is that the Texans are going to realize the value for two Shawn Watson. He's gonna be probably nowhere near what it was going into this draft before all the legalities got involved before all the build. The civil plaintiffs got involved, but There's going to be enough of a period of time. We're depending on how this thing shakes out. There could be at least some degree of cleansing for dish on where he's not toxic to trade for anymore. You'll know what his suspension is going to be. And maybe it happens after the season once he served whatever his suspension. Maybe. But I think it happens. Then. As far as Pittsburgh goes, I do think Pittsburgh should be a team that's calling the Texans about to Sean. Um, I don't know. You know, some of it may depend on when when he gets traded and where Pittsburgh is in the draft next year. You know that That's the Texans gonna be more likely to listen to a team that's got higher draft capital. Then what Maybe Pittsburgh is expected to be, although I expect Pittsburgh to be third in their division this year. You know if they if they become a six and 10 or a 17 19 something like that. They were not a good team down. The stretch is here. They started at 11 and Oh, and they finished. They think 12 and four And they they got knocked out. In the first round of the playoffs by the Browns. So I think the Steeler should call. I don't know that the Steelers necessarily have a package to put together that would entice the Texans more than some other teams. It would be just his thirsty for a quarterback. I think Pittsburgh would be a team that to Sean would approve a trade, too. That's something else you need to keep in mind. So Pittsburgh is pits work the best fit, probably for both sides, you know for the Texans to do a deal. I don't think they're the best fit. But I think they're off it. If that answers your question, Huff got a tweet here from Freddie Houston native in Denver, Usually a weekday listener picked up a second job on the weekends. Thankful that I'm doing what I do today gets the listen today. Happy to be in here. Freddie question Any news on why it's been so eerily quiet on the dish on Watson allegations? I don't know. It's been over two weeks now, since we've heard anything from anybody. So it could be that they're negotiating settlements. There are 22 plaintiffs, by the way. I mean, there's a lot of it's a lot of negotiating. Um or maybe the two sides are just in a staring contest right now. I don't know why it's so silent. But e. Eerily silent is the right way to put it over two weeks for something for a story where there was something seemingly every day for a month. Now to two weeks go by. It's been two weeks ago this past Thursday that we've heard anything from either side. Mean, Tony Busby must have his arms duct taped to a side to not be Ah! Tweeting or putting things on instagram. Last week's podcast which it was already an issue back then boy. Has it blown up. I mean it is absolutely crazy. Shawn watson now has sixteen lawsuits by various women against him. That was as of yesterday. Which was tuesday announced. Quarterbacks lawyer said in a statement that his law firm has strong evidence showing one of the lawsuits alleging sexual assault is false that it quote calls into question the legitimacy of the other cases as well in his lawyer also added that he believes quote any allegation that just shawn Force a woman to commit a sexual act is completely false.

"Gonna move on briefly to addition watson because you know what we promised. We'll give you the shawn watson update every day and we will do that because it changes every day. What number we now here. A colonic sixteen. Yeah it is. What's fourteen lawsuits. Isn't it to. Because the time this thing drops people listen numbers rate in this situation. I think at this point where We're past the point of needing to get the data on the information now at true affords like we're at. Are you a predator or not zone. Like that's i don't know. I haven't read a the guy in the houston. Chronicle his name wilson yet. Yup does he still think sixteen are lining up to make a deal. How silly was that premise. That people still want to trade from no one would trade anything form. They wouldn't take him for nothing. The miami dolphins new york jets new england patriots niners broncos. None of them would take to shawn watson for nothing. They didn't win. Give you a thing for the shawn watson because this guy has a problem. He's not who we thought he was. I'm ready to jump to conclusions and say he was inappropriate with many many women and he had a fetish couldn't just be one or two. He wanted to do this to a number women because he probably enjoyed the challenge. Enjoyed the danger of it. All and today mike florio from pro football taco used to be a lawyer. He's got a piece saying what he would do if he you know because a lot of people ask them. What would you do if he hired you. He didn't hire florio. Had tony busby. Who's either a A lawyer or a the most incredible conman the most credible Shakedown artist of all time. Because he's the one who's updating every day with the number of masseuses who are charging accusing deshaun watson of inappropriate behavior. But but but two things two things here. He gives all this advice florio and it's reasonable. He said he'd sit down and try to get all the women or their representative in a room to make one big settlement trying to make it all. Go away with one big paycheck that they could and they clearly are looking for that because they're not having gone to the cops which brings me to point number two and end to the point where they try to basically extort him out of thirty one of them tried to extort him out of thirty grand in january. I believe i'm not sure that's extortion. If you're saying will agree not to charge you and these are hard working people at working class girls. Maybe who and by way are people like julia to cairo in on people like Niece smelly they waiting to see what race these women are. Because they haven't had much to say about this yet. But i assume they are. They going to wait and see what race they are and then they decide how they feel about it. Which is madness.
Houston's Deshaun Watson assault suits followed blackmail attempt

Lawsuit calls Deshaun Watson a 'serial predator' with 16 lawsuits against him now alleging sexual assault
"Another day. More allegations, lawsuits and things being said involving Houston Texans quarterback to Shawn Watson. We're up to 16 lawsuits. Now. One of those lawsuits called the Shawn Watson, a serial predator. His lawyer, Rusty Hard, said in the statement that his law firm has strong evidence showing that one of the lawsuits alleging sexual assault against his client is false and that it calls into question the legitimacy of the other cases as well. NBC Houston sports reporter Vanessa Bridges and put on Twitter at Sports Vanessa. She reported details under Sean watching allegations and that multiple sources close to the situation told her the shot watching did have sexual counters with some of the accusers. But those sources insist those encounters were completely consensual. Ryan Smith, ESPN legal analysts in Angola Junior What is the timeline for when this becomes a legal process involving the Shawn Watson? All civil right now? For civil cases, it can take months or longer. We're talking about first, their service of process which I assume and some of these cases might have already happened. We don't know for sure, then typically to sort of watch inside will answer these claims. Then you go to the point where Norman. In many cases, you might see this. In this case, Shawn Watson's lawyers will ask to have the case dismissed. We'll see how judges view that then you go in the process of different like discovery. Proceed to trying to establish the jury or or otherwise. So these things take a long time. And typically, what you might say is well, maybe it settles. Maybe it goes away pretty quickly. It was pretty clear that John Watson said he wasn't Least initially was not interested in settling this. And now that you have such a large volume, it does seem like settlement is much more unlikely than it was in the beginning of this process. So this is the kind of thing that can take a very long time, months, if not longer. And now the NFL's also doing their own investigation here, Freddie I mean 16 civil suits now filed against the Shawn Watson from different 16 different miss uses. I reserve judgment until everything you know until everything it plays out. I guess that's the one the most responsible thing to do. Now, in the court of public opinion, that never happens. I mean to Shawn Watson is already you know it is brand. His name has been Just absolute tarnished by by most people across this country and in college, folk, college and pro football fans. Personally, I reserve judgment until I judgment has been rendered. One way or another. But pretty not talked about this briefly last night. Something just doesn't smell right. Don't know. I don't know what it is said that when they heard it, 12 and a very rapid escalation to 16, and no criminal charges have been brought against the Shawn Watson yet, right? Something isn't passing the smell test, but we'll figure out what that is. Why, Once a judgment in order 16 judgements have been rendered one way or
Will the Lawsuits Against Watson Stall 1st-Round Picks?
"At this point. There have been thirteen civil lawsuits. I think got it is literally not trying to make light of its changing by the hour. Sarah barshop covers. The texans for us is constantly reporting these new lawsuits alleging sexual harassment. Or in some cases. Assault against the shawn watson I have just been sitting back waiting for the news to come in reading the suits. Watson's lawyers have not responded in full yet. I think there's going to be much more like a. We're going to get not just more information. But also kind of someone kind of synthesizing all of this and explaining what it means for watson and i'm not talking about football just like what it means for his future in and what it means for these women forward i like. I'm not i haven't been doing this. Just been kind of going with the news and waiting for it. All of this. As like. I find i have found the discourse on it already to be incredibly toxic and dispiriting and the whole story. It's very sad in. It is definitely it also coming at this crazy moment. Where if this like literally a week ago. You and i probably on shows talking about. Will this team's going to do this. And this team that we just don't know now. So i just like i have no idea how this is going to play out. Not just for the accusers for him. But all any of the teams involved in this including houston. It is a black box at the moment for me john. Yeah and and. I think that you handled the non-football element of this extremely well. And i echo ditto everything that you said from. And so i'll have to say that. That exact thing that you just said way better than i could but i will take it to a football to a trade element side because it was what we were all talking about with the dak prescott contract for so long now because we both sorta gone silent as we all were sitting back watching not having take about it as we're trying to figure out and and synthesize everything It makes it extremely difficult based on volume and the details in the allegations for any team to trade what would be equivalent to four first picks Because i if you do that right now you're saying to your fans because there's no way that you can properly investigate a dozen claims If you if you go to shawn watson this week and so you're saying well we we investigated and we all know that that's why Or you're also saying what we didn't investigate and we don't care and you can't do that and And so there's it's a holding pattern right now And obviously role in the real world realized stuff is what's most important here but it had. It was such a gigantic. nfl story. Whereas the shawn watson gonna land one with the jay leno panthers give up and now it sort of disappeared. And i do think that we do have to sort of touch on it and say no one can do anything right
Did Washington Do Enough to Push Dallas in the NFC?
"Did washington football teams teamers and the giants do enough to push dallas in the nfc. So i left philly out. I don't yeah. I just don't i am found anyone who really thinks they're going to be competitive. I mean let's wait and see got jalen whatever. But that's a team that they're not really fun to talk about. Because their free agency considered like stripping you know but i mean they did sign at harris for like nothing which is probably better sightings but what you have in jalen also you serianni. Yes hundred percent but washington in york both very active and did interesting. Things i think are worth discussing because dallas after the dak prescott deal was finally done. They've kind of made a few moves around the margins adding kia neil. Getting tied as kind of swing. Tackle still have question marks at adra sure and coroner but washington like i think they might have had my favorite free agency or at least the one that i'm most excited to see. I don't know payoff on the field. So just to recap. They signed the aforementioned ryan fitzpatrick one year. Ten million dollars. They tag branch eff. Who's there Pro bowler guard. They signed william jackson from the bengals. Cornerback three years. Forty two million dollars and then added panthers wide receiver. Curtis samuel for three years thirty four point five million dollars so just starting like let's start here. Do you agree with me like do you. Do you like what they did. And do you think it makes them an actual competitor in the division. A really like what. Washington did You know. I think among the guys among the quarterback that they could get because not only were they never in it for russell wilson or or wherever really going to be competitive for shawn watson You had to start looking okay. We'll what's realistic. And it's the ryan fitzpatrick coming off his best his career. It's an andy dalton and whereas that really gonna lead you I think that there was a lot of interest in marcus. Mariota he still is not able to sign with another team because the raiders are still holding him hostage But so. I like the quarterback. Move because you're essentially saying let's build up the team the and let's have the strongest team possible around the quarterback position where we don't sell out just because we have to for that position free agency. Maybe they make a move at the draft for a guy that they have their eye on. Or maybe they just say let's. Let's keep the boat floating this year and let's make our move Next free agency. So i thought that they probably overpaid by million or two on curtis samuel. But they wanted him And and ron rivera really likes them. Obviously william jackson an incredible deal You look around and you need another pass rusher and they can they can probably keep ryan kerrigan as a third down specialist if he comes down off his number end so you know he's he's still doing that. He's gonna get paid a whole lot of money. I'm not sure that that money is really out there especially at this point in free agency so they didn't want to mortgage their future for for quarterback right. Now they wanted to keep the boat afloat. I that and so. I like what they have done. Specially on evens. Then when you consider the the sort of offense and the pre-snap that they can have with all those offensive playmakers. Now that curtis annuals there with terry corn. I really like with done.

N.F.L. Begins Investigating Accusations Against Deshaun Watson
"Texans quarterback deshaun watson now faces multiple civil accusations of sexual misconduct and their sports angles. But this is a story. That's a little bit different. These are serious allegations and we don't have any answers yet. I said last hour. We're not court. tv. I'm not gonna litigated this. I do wanna look at this from the football perspective. Nfl fans are probably anxious to find out. What's going on. Because watson has been the story of the off season he's made it quite clear doesn't wanna play for the texans although we don't know for sure there are inside or reports that the team is now considering making a move. I don't know how you can do that. It's got to be put on. Hold your team interested in him. Or even the texans interested in moving him. But i don't want to rush to judgement one way or another right now. Teams including the texans are gathering facts. The nfl says that it's going to investigate this. And that could take weeks could take months. And therefore it's probably of very very slight chance to shawn watson would be traded prior to the draft. But we'll be patient because it's an impactful story and to impact will the story to take lightly but the lawyer for those who are filing. These charges has come out to say his name. Is tony busby. He claims that he has nine clients. Who have assault claims against shawn. Watson

"A part of a good defense, see what they might be able to do in free agency. This this wild cavalcade of stars that are moving around with quarterbacks. I think this is a very interesting time. Maybe you land on one of those quarterbacks and end up doing well, Maybe you see of Mitch can try to get it lighted, lit up yet again. Who the hell knows? But if you wanted to do that, if you want to do that for your wife, buddy, I'm not going to stand in the middle of it. That's between you and her and she's a good soccer player and you go ahead and you enjoy the rest of your career there. I have no problem with that whatsoever. So these are the decisions that JJ Watt has Don't know about the Shawn Watson in all this. I have my own theory about JJ Watt. So many people started to try toe make comparisons with Shawn Watson. I don't think it's a total disrespect. No matter what or how big of a deal Mike Florio wants to make it out to be. I don't think it's a disrespected to Shawn Watson to Shawn Watson is going into his prime. He's a young, elite level quarterback. Yes, they have to hold out. They just can't cut the Shawn Watson. Let's not be stupid about this. It's almost insulting to the fan base to toe and I'm talking football fans in general, and because of how much weight we have with our words, I think it's almost insulting to society in general. To say those type of things. Shaun signed his contract. Regardless of what I want to say. I know he still has the power, but he still signed that contract. He still remember the Houston Texans and the Texans have every single right in the world to try to get as much as they possibly can. For two Shawn Watson. And they could do that. Or they could hold on woman to Shawn Watson has all the right in the world because he has not filed retirement papers. He can sit there and say, OK, go and play your season. I'm never playing for you again and you could take him to court and try to take him to court. But I don't know I could take you gotta court who doesn't want to show up to work and you already guaranteed him that money. Go right on ahead. It's just gonna make situations worse. So I'm not going to try to turn it into a fairness issue about the Shawn Watson when it's JJ watt out there, but I want to know from you. Where's the best landing spot for JJ Watt? And if you want him on your team Give it to me straight 855 to 1 to four CBS 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. We'll get to you guys and why waiting could be great for JJ. "Burns is unable to join us today. Peter is without a voice, which just so happens to be pretty important in this line of work. He's currently battling some laryngitis. So we wish him well and hope him a speedy recovery. In the meantime, I am lucky enough to be joined by the one of a kind talent who's been so gracious and accommodating with his time. Byron Metcalf. Thank you for joining me. Good morning. How the heck are you? I'm good at Super Bowl Sunday. Okay, thank you from having you excited for the show. I am, too. I appreciate it very much. And it's so funny because it's only right that the NFL on Super Bowl Sunday would give US news. Other To talk about than the game itself. There's been some chatter just update everyone right now that multiple teams have called the New York Jets to inquire about Sam Donald Carson winds could very well have a new home in the coming days. While the latest Adam Schefter report tells us that the Houston Texans continue to tell teams who call that they're not trading to Shawn Watson, meaning the standoff between the team and Watson continues. Myron. I just cannot foresee a situation where these two parties can work it out and come out of this on the other side in a good place. Is that fair? 100% fair. And to me, this feels like gamesmanship on both sides. You Shawn Watson put out his message through his people on now. Here we are a few weeks later, and the Texans are trying to send a message. I don't know if they're sending a message to do, Shawn. As much as they're sending a message to the teams around the league. Dad, it's going to take a lot more to get him. I just don't know how to Sean watching walks into training camp and says Okay, everybody, let's work together. Katie, like it feels like that relationship is over one way or the other. Unless to Shawn Watson is having conversations behind the scenes with some of the key players. The movers and shakers in the locker room of saying, Hey, this is the bigger picture. I don't like the way that things are done right now. I don't like the moves that they've made. You know, we were supposed to be a part of those conversations and we have not been, you know, unless he has the pulse of the locker room, and those guys are on board of what he's trying to do. And what kind of message he's trying to send to the front office and Easterby, Incas, Aereo. Maybe that's happening. And so they're behind him. I thought it was Pretty eye opening that JJ Watt a week ago came out in support of what to Shawn Watson had said, and said, the other some decisions that No, I don't support mean JJ. What is the perfect company line man and for him to come out and vocally say something against what's going on with the Texans? I thought. Well, maybe this is, you know. Bigger situation behind the scenes where Watson is viewed by his teammates. It's kind of like a champion of fighting for what they believe in and what they want. Yeah, and I think any time you have guys like him and Andre Johnson coming out and saying they support that, Shawn Watson clearly there's something going on and destroying Watson has made this trade official this request official, So I don't know how you unravel that in the coming months, but it seems like the Texas at least for now. Saying they're not going to budge. And guess what? This isn't the MBA. Katie. They have his contractual rights. This isn't the league where you just go because you make a fuss publicly, and I think to start watching that every right to do that. But they own this contract and then you have to do a thing with it. It's interesting. You bring that up because we've seen this happen in the N B. A. I think time and time again. James Harden kind of the latest right, who said I want out made a fuss about it. Didn't go about his business. Maybe The way people thought that he should, but he ultimately got what he wanted. And he's now in Brooklyn and playing with the Big Three. Do you feel like this is the first big time player At the quarterback position We've seen try this tactic in the NFL. And could this be maybe? Path for others. If it does work out for you, Shawn Watson, and he's playing in a different uniforms in the coming year. I think what you just said, is what scares every NFL Only because this is the first time a guy in his prime has made this push. Yes. Joe Montana got traded. Peyton Manning got traded guys like that. But it wasn't during the process of their careers. So if the shop wants and gets his way, and they make that move, you have to wonder if the other the next generation of quarterbacks makes the same moves whenever they're unhappy with this situation. Well, we'll certainly keep you up to date on Donald wins, of course to Shawn Watson. If there's any movement during this show, never say never, I wouldn't expect it to be. But now it's time for the biggest story of the week to the biggest story.

"You pay that Robben Ford, Shawn Watson. Depends on you Know what team I am, Andre. How far away I am. And how desperate you are for the quarterback position. You don't wanna wind up. Just like the Texans are where your bereft of talent around the Shawn Watson is good is watching is he was the quarterback on a foreign 12 team this year. I don't say that is a dis as that's a matter of fact, right? Um Those asking prices get put out there. That's the beginning of a negotiation that could be for leverage. I don't know if that will exactly be what it is. I think the reason you've heard Seems like the Jets and the Dolphins involved is their draft capital. I mean, they have the ready, made high pick to offer and then another pick to throw in. You know if The Jets. Would you give up to first two seconds and a defense of starter? Yeah, I think you do. If you were, you know. A team that's on the cost of contending for a Super Bowl. I don't know if you have the draft positioning, so ultimately, I think it probably is gonna revert. If it deal does get done to a team that has the high draft capital because you hear all the time what these teams actually want in in a deal. That doesn't mean it's going to be what they actually get. You know, And I know the Matt Stafford deal happened and everybody compare that with the potential to Shawn Watson deal. They also ate the Jared Goff contract in that deal. So there was an aspect of that e mean. Shawn Watson is worth a couple of first round picks in a couple of second round picks. I guess it's This is the only thing that's changing people's minds about that. The young defensive starters that get thrown in there because I could always see that sort of thing moving. Of course, they're gonna ask for a lot for the Shawn Watson. So it doesn't really surprise me to see that. With sex. Another one so still no official.

It happens, but I know there's been a There's been a lot of talk about that this past week, not to mention the fact that he was seen in the back of a pickup truck holding a case of Miller Lite, which I thought was absolutely hilarious. Um But do you happen to get ESPN plus No, I don't have ESPN plus I saw a very interesting article. Written by Bill Barnwell, and that's what I want to start off today. I want to talk a little sports today, and we may get to the Hall of Fame, the Baseball Hall of Fame here before the show was out, but I wanted to start with this because, as you know, and as most people know that followed the NFL, the Shawn Watson has requested a trade. Shawn Watson, the quarterback for the Houston Texans, and widely considered to be one of the top five quarterbacks in NFL. Well, he had management Don't exactly see eye to eye has been a lot of things that have gone on within the organization over the past couple years and to Shawn Watson has proposed a trade. Well, Bill Barnwell wrote. This article entitled 17 to Shawn Watson Trade Propose proposals rank from least likely to most likely to happen and the 2021 NFL off season. And he goes from 17 Toe one. Now he eliminated some teams because some that wouldn't be interested like pecan City chiefs in Seattle Seahawks teams within the division Indianapolis Colts Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans. Then teams with Capt..

"And then he became a problem, and they immediately traded him What it was, like four days from the start of everything that was happening to his pouty session in the media, the walking off the media zoom and then players coming out and saying, Yeah, we can't be around this guy because he's causing. This isn't helping us try and come together as a team, and if I'm Watson Walk in there and I go trade me. I'm not coming to camp. I'm not playing for this team again. Here's my list. It includes the Jets. It includes the Jags. It includes Miami. And you just ranks him and then maybe another team in there, and I think that to Shawn Watson and Patrick Mahomes. Probably the on Lee two players based on their age and what they've done to this point the career that could Cola franchise. I'm never playing here again. You have to move me. Right, like the NFL is such a cut throat business that most players in the league. It's all right. Well, let's move along, right for most guys, but like to Shawn Watson, Patrick Mahomes are so good at such a young age and we all know this. I think he could dictate policy and get a trade. Freddie Norge, You're on ESPN 1000. What's up, Fred? Hey, guys. Hi guys doing today? Good. What's up? Good. I'm calling about pace, man here in all these talks about us trying to trade for Watson and We're really gonna let this guy trade three more. Three more draft picks for a guy that he could have originally had. Yeah, Who's your quarterback next year? Who's our quarterback next year? Who's Who's going Who's gonna be our future? Sean wants. What's in the hypothetical trade show? Watson? That's your future Is 25. Yeah, okay, He's gonna have no offensive line. He should have the same problems. He had a Houston Yeah, but you'll have him for 10 plus years. We'll have him pretend put here. She's already had two surgeries on one needs You healthy this year. You see him play this year. He He didn't play too well this year. What are you talking about? Didn't play well this year. Watson. Yeah, to show Watson. Did you see a stance is here. Are you serious? Are you serious? Are you for real sees right now we for reals is Here is what I'm trying to say, God, you're gonna trade your whole future for the Bears for one position That doesn't make sense, guys. It's a position that's crippled your franchise for the history of the league and yards this year, Right guys, we are weak and offense of line, so they're there goes his. There's just productive. Nobody right there. He was productive with weak offense in line to begin with. We have an aging defense. We have Ah, defense with so many guys getting paid too much money, and we're gonna Grift our whole future on Watson. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely Thank you for the phone call. I'd say he's arguably top five player in the league. Shawn Watson, healthy this season, led the league in yards and he was second in yards per game. He led the league in yards with a bad offensive line to begin with. In a defense that was terrible, which was always putting the Texans in a bad spot. And I know the offensive line was bad. They're not as bad as the Texans offensive line. They're just not know They're not like Part of Fred's point. I understand the concern at the star what he was talking about and you bring him in. Like, how much time you like. Here. Here's the he's 25. Look at the quarterbacks who are retiring now. Philip Rivers. How old is he? And wrought this burger still playing. Aaron Rodgers has like five more good seasons left. At least Tom Brady. Tom Brady's still playing. So if you had to Shawn Watson at 25, you could make an argument. That the show Watson could be a bear for the next 15 years. You're telling me you can't figure out an offensive line 15 years. They'll figure out the offensive line next year that they played better towards the end of the year. I just no good. It was good this year..

"And trade value. Are we talking? Ah, 12131 like what would you be given up to get him? Sure, Frank appreciate the phone. Call him and for what it's worth and Brian. I'm sure you've seen and we talked about it a little bit. When Jesse was on for the first two hours of the show, Mike Sando of the athletic wrote up a handful. Five. In fact, kind of Perspective trades. He's aren't necessarily things. He's reporting that teams would give up for this Shawn Watson, but to make sense, then his right eye ball in some stuff as it were. He's got one where Watson goes to the Jets. The Jets get dish on Watson and Randall Cobb. The Texans get Sam Donald To first and a handful of other picks a 3rd and 1/4 in 2022 2023. 3 firsts, in fact, from the Jets in that 12 firsts in a mock trade with the Dolphins, plus two attack of Iowa. Two firsts in a trade with the Falcons and no players going back there to first from the Lions on Ben something that Stanford right and Matt Stafford absolutely true. And then this one to the Niners is a really interesting one for me, because I I love that coaching staff over there. I wouldn't adore what they what they're capable of doing, and the innovation they like to play with. Look was where he did it with two and they had to do it on the road, even their home games. I'm looking You wanna talk about adversity and getting through a pandemic and Overcoming obstacles and boy Kyle Shanahan and that staff Oh, my, what a job they did. There's so much fun, and that defense played pretty well. Even without Nick Bosa and half and having Given forest DeForest Buckner to the Colts. I mean, they still played fairly well, Despite all of the injuries and all of the covert problems, they had this trade from Sando of the athletic The Niners get to Shawn Watson. The Texans get Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Bosa, who I assume would want to be healthy 2021 1st and a 2022 seconds that could go up given. You know escalators in Watson's play, I assume The money attached to Watson. It's you know, it's a hefty dollars, right? It's 2021 price tag of 10. It's a 2022 of 35. 2 23 of 20. I mean, he's a big big dollars. And you know Brown. We see quarterbacks with big price tags Advance and Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes, who will have a very large price tag. But We see roster building work in the NFL wher that quarterback on his rookie deal. Allows a GM to go all sorts of crazy guys like Khalil Mack or Robert Quinn or other things, even Alan Robinson to a certain point. And I can't help but think that if if I had my just riffle Ricana word if I had my druthers Try and build a team that way with the rookie quarterback that I really like and can and can supplement the roster around. Shoot if you got the Shawn Watson out there yet Franchise definer, but you have well and here's the problem. You didn't have the rookie quarterback contract you have the quarterback. You could have made hay with Mr Biscuit, And we can argue all day whether you know the midst Robiskie Fan Club will say that that Maggie did him no favors and actually Hindered his development. Be that as it may he looks like he is tail lights from here. He's out of here and probably happy to be so. So you don't have a quarterback to give back to the Texans. You're drafting 20th overall this year, so you finally paid off the debt on the cool Mac draft picks. And you have limited resource is with which to engineer deal Now it was saying well. Texans don't want to trade doing a C team. So maybe the Bears can hopscotch a few teams. They're gonna take the best deal. I mean, I know what they're they their wish would be not to see him in the FC. What if the best deal or deals that are on the table are from the Jets or whomever. Miami. They're going, They're going to take that. That's a franchise changing. Deal so you can't sit there and say, Well, I just wanted my conference. You have to take the best deal. It's on the table. No matter Yeah. And if your if your necklace area was just coming over there to be the GM for the Texans after, you know, apprenticeship under Bill Belichick, right? You. I kind of of the belief, Brian. I don't know where you sit on this. That Sincerity will probably goes into that Texan situation. Understanding that things aren't great between two Shawn Watson and management if he doesn't know that, you know, he's right. If I knew it, you know, a year ago, and you knew it then. Then I would imagine that Nick probably had a heads up on his way into the facility's on Unterberg you morning, right? So you can't let yourself be handcuffed by well, We got to see the Jets next year. We just can't have not to hell with that. You take the draft picks, you take their offsetting cap. You know, hit whatever Whatever contract it is that you want. I don't know if I'm Don't know if I'm really interested in Sam. Donald. If I'm the Texans, and I'm trying to build, I guess if I just need a warm body for whomever I'm taking in the first year, So yeah, I guess I suppose you could do that..

"Shawn Watson likes like that's the my criteria for a head coach of this team, Johnny and you guys are going through this in Philly right now. So you I know you're doing the same thing. Here is what the Eagles need for the head coach and you, you list three or four things and its leadership and it's offensive system and it's Had the ability to work with others. Whatever the case may be out of the same things. You guys are looking for their. Yeah, no doubt. No doubt. So, so I just had this list. My list has changed. Now. My list is I don't want anybody off the Patriot Street and I want whoever did Shawn Watson once. That's it, That's it. Can last one here, son and I know you've been ready for show coming up in about 30 minutes. I mean, you need an adult, and it seems like you need an adult in the room, right? Like you need. Somebody is going to come in and be like you used to be. Get out of my face. I'm running football stuff. You've been involved too much. Go do what you're gonna do. I don't know if you can do that with it with the owner. But can Nick a stereo? Can he be the guy to do that? You think he's gonna be the guy to do that? I think he's capable of doing it. Look, a stereo is a guy who look, if you just if you if you forget about his ties to Easterby, and I think that's the other thing people need to understand if they don't these two are very good friends. It feels like used to be handpicked This guy and Easterby wasn't even supposed to be part of the GM decision making process. So, so they're very, very tight. You know, Chris Area was asked more questions about Easterby during his intro press conference a week or so ago that he was about to Shawn Watson and JJ Watt combined. That's that's not hyperbole. That's fact, he was asked five questions about Jack Easterby. He answered them in glowing terms. So that's the concern. Is it? Okay? Excuse area too close to Easterby. Can he tell Easterby to go sit in the corner and just go do his little you know, Nutrition Cove ID little departments. And keep his greasy palms off the football side of things I think here here is where the rubber meets the road with the whole thing. John is that what Nick this area is going to find out is that if the Texans don't enact some sort of change here, whether it's with Easterby, or whether it's smoothing things over with the Shawn Watson or both. Necessary was going to find it very hard to do his job. He's got a very hard time finding free agents and want to come to Houston. Houston is going to turn into what the Browns had been for the last 20 years or with the Bangles have been for the last 50 years, or what the Raiders were for a while where they're just toxic organizations where you just look at the very top of the York trying to go. I just don't want to go play there. It's going to get very difficult for kiss Sirio. To do his show, especially if he has to do his job without the Shawn Watson on this team, So I think that's where the rubber meets the road cause kiss Serios waited a long time for an opportunity. He was in that building up a Gillette Stadium. 20 years. I don't think he waited for this opportunity for it to be just just, you know, just frittered away because you got some former chaplain in the building who's got his. He's got his fingerprints all over the operation. Unbelievable. Shawn Pendergast. He's coming up here in like 25 minutes. Go get a drink. Go on to the bathroom. Well, here's your soon not alcoholic variety, but that that would be a departure from the remainder of my weekend for sure. Thanks. Selections. Thanks, John. Appreciate you. There is Sean Pendergast. He's coming up here and a little bit like what a coincidence that I was looking All right, Connor, who could we get?.

"We know that Mahomes into Sean are very friendly, and we know that they have probably talked about the enemy before, but it's not a so to Shawn Watson has been campaigning for the enemy. I mean to Sean gets asked about him, and he says nice things about him. I think he would like to play for Eric, the enemy. Don't get me wrong. I think the difficult thing right now Johnny's is how damaged is the relationship between two Sean and the Texans who is to Shawn at a point now where he's even wanting to give input on the head coaching search, or is he just so checked out? That that he's he's just backed away from the whole thing because he's just he didn't want to be here anymore. You know, that's kind of what that s I article indicated is that you know, quote he just wants out if he just wants out, and he's not giving input on the next head coach. Of America the enemy. I'm not choosing to go to the coach for the Houston Texans have to Shawn Watson isn't on board and I think that's the chicken in the egg with this thing right now, With all these head coaching candidates if I'm any of the head coaching candidates, other than maybe some of the re treads that are out there that are just looking for a job. But if I'm a be enemy or a Brandon Staley or a Joe Brady or even a neighbor flu's guys who haven't been a head coach before, but who are hot candidates this year and presumably are going to be hot candidates in the next cycle as well. Do I want to take the Texans job? No. One that the Shawn Watson might not be on board and he might not be part of this thing. Hell, no. So it's it's gonna be It's going to be a really interesting and again. I'll use that work delicate time here over the next couple of weeks. Yeah, it's a great point because they take the job and it and the Sean John Watson doesn't care that he took the job. He still unhappy. So now he's going after next year, and now you're sitting here with this bad organization without a quarterback, and that's right. And now you've taken the job, Jack Easterby. Yeah, that team chaplain character coach now the vice president of football ops. How much of a problem is this guy with everything that's going on right now with the Texas He's a huge problem. I don't think You know, I e think people need to understand this about Andre Johnson. And I don't think Andre Johnson's tweet is going toe force change. Otherwise, something might have changed already. But I think I think your list there's no Andre Johnson sent out a tweet last week that basically said that you know it encouraged to Shawn Watson to stand his ground. It's said that the Texans have made a habit of wasting great players careers, which is true. Andre Johnson, JJ Watt. They're in the process of doing that with this John Watson, and then he went on to say that nothing good has happened in or for the organization since Jack Easterby got here. That's also I think, not even an opinion. I think that's a fact. So so hungry, made a lot of good points. I think what people need to understand. And I'm just using Andre is as sort of a way to illustrate my answer to your question that this guy is a huge problem. The last time Andre Johnson tweeted about anything other than a sponsorship for Crown Royal video. I guess he has on Twitter. Is April of 2019. The dude had gone almost two years without expressing an opinion on social media. And then he just hits the piece, slamming his fist on the red button for the nukes on Jack Easterby. This is not an Andre Johnson over action. People he'd understand. 200 was in the building last year. He was on the coaching staff last year with Bill O'Brien. He was, you know, kind of Ah, you know, almost like an intern on the coaching staff. Um, you know, helping out with wide receivers kind of things. He did not come back for 2020 once they traded DeAndre Hopkins. I think Andre Johnson saw the writing on the wall tonight. I need to be here for this this thing..

"As well late in the holiday season as all the lights in the trees are down. But we'll do that later on this hour. Well, we did not have many shows together Taza myself due to vacation a through the month of December. But the Saturday games, you know, let's start with the game. That was kind of a snooze our first, and I get to the damore intriguing one which was the the Cowboys in the Seahawks game, which went Dallas's way as they marched on. But. L the Houston Texans. And to Shawn Watson got outplayed. And and really got their butts handed to Indianapolis Colts and late Saturday afternoon down in Houston. And that is a disappointing loss for that. Texans. Franchise who started the aero three one nine straight in the regular season Watson got healthier better as the season went along. And I thought I a couple of headlines for me when I come out of that game. As the reason why number one is luck is is just right now, he's playing back in the national. He really is. Draw when that game was being decided in the first half. Luck was brilliant through you know, he had twenty twenty one nothing before at six minutes and forty eight Mark of the second of the second quarter enroll purposes that game was over the colts came out like a team on fire. They took advantage of mental and bad penalties mental mistakes and bad penalties by the Houston. Texans on their opening drive to punch it in seven nothing. So I look at it. The texans. I thought were sloppy the colts were Kris Burley the game was decided early to Shawn Watson even with that game being barging game ties. There were throws for schol Watson make that he just missed. He was downright terrible. And I thought it was a big game player and on Sunday on on Saturday afternoon. He came up quite small play. Sean did not play good awful. And you're right. The the colts. You know, what I saw Matt you know, they win the game. Twenty one seven. Right. So so they set a tone from from the first series and had the ball. Just like we discussed on Friday. And that's exactly what happened is the offensive line for the Indianapolis Colts. They set a tone. They set the table that we're going to push you, Texan de linemen and linebackers off the ball. And what this is all a lot of scrimmage. We're going to own it, and we're going to own it every series, and that's exactly what that old line. Did they they were spectacular as advertise? They kept JJ quiet JJ watt. They kept cloudy, quiet. They kept the Texans. Defense quiet. And and we had a feeling that was going to happen. That's shores. How what happened MAC? Also ran the ball. Great for the colts here close a hundred fifty yards rushing. So he played really well. I mean, so TY Hilton's just been clutches. Heck, I mean, so you know, what you're right. Andrew luck is just really he looked spectacular. I mean, I still can't believe that he's back play into this level at the super high level after the layoff. He had and how long he was out. Very impressive. It is the touch slows the t y Hilton just off the charts and a gift Frank Reich and his staff credit the offensive line, set a tone. No question, it's been a huge issue. It's been a strong point to that team all season. They got Ryan Kelly backed the former Alabama crimson tide star center back at Senator dealt with a neck injury this year, which caused him to miss some games. And the colts are a better football team right now, I thought Bill O'Brien in Romeo. Cornell got out coached. I didn't exactly know what cornell's defense was trying to do where you saw colts colts receivers run free..

"You know, I think he's right around that nineteen or twenty range. But I know again, we're, we're in the fantasy era where everything's about stats and quarterback rating, and that's all that people look at. I think that at least half the league have thrown twenty eight interceptions twenty eight touchdowns and seven interceptions playing quarterback for that Rams team was Sean McVeigh's offense. So I don't always look at stats and go, oh yeah, that's a great year. No, it's the context of that stats. I'm not gonna give Jared Goff a whole lot of credit when he throws a ball behind the line of scrimmage, the Todd Gurley and he runs for an eighty yard touchdown and go, oh, what a play. By Jared Goff. That was unbelievable. Oh, it's third and fifty. One hundred two screen to the house by Robert woods. What up play by Jared, don't say what to play by Jared Goff they might, I know, but that's where it gets lost in context because after the game people go look, Jared Goff played pretty awesome, and I'm not saying he didn't play. Awesome. I'm saying he played good. Yeah, but he played a full season though. Chris Garoppolo is played seven games. I, I get that. I just, I, you know, again, I'm just going off of, I think pure talent. And of course what I think that potential can be Goth is going in the right direction. I just I've always thought Garoppolo was a little more talented than a Jared Goff. I wasn't incredibly high on Jared Goff coming out in the draft, and I think you're going to see an explosion like we saw what Jared Goff. I'm Jimmy Garoppolo this year in that Kyle Shanahan offense. That system fits the skill set. So well, people are going to rank Jimmy Garoppolo higher than he should be at the end of this year too. Because his stats are going to be like thirty touchdown passes and eight interceptions and everybody go, wow. One of the best quarterbacks in football, and I don't care if he throws for forty touchdowns and five interceptions. He's not one of the five best no matter what happens at the end of the year, but he is going to inject himself into that conversation because people are going to look at stats and people don't always pay attention to context at this time, Jared Goff or does Shawn Watson, I go to Shawn Watson. Yeah, you're talking about? Well, I am telling you Watson, has a chance to be like I if we, if we went to two three years down the road, I wouldn't be shocked if you and me are on on the radio. Having a conversation about this Shawn Watson being the best quarterback in football. I think he has that type of potential. And I think what he did his little four and five game run last year, man, that was some Aaron, Roger issue type stuff. I saw out there with him making magic happen with his legs as arms, his leadership. You know, all of that. So where I thought, ooh, that is very, very special. And I think he's only scratching the surface of what he can be. I don't leave you with this Todd Gurley got paid. Is he the anomaly or running backs now going to get? Are they gonna move up now, the pay scale here, I do think they're gonna move up in the pay scale? I do. I think with the two running back committees that were in the running back by committee, we're seeing throughout the NFL. We're going to start seeing some of these top tier running backs. You know, be able to play a little bit longer because they're not going to be ground grinded into the ground like they were in the eighties and the nineties and early two thousands where they had such a short shelf life in the NFL girlies the best running back in the sport to me. So this is what I find it interesting is where it becomes we're Levy on bell..
