"Yeah. I was like Wilson end of season Wilson better than Goff. I do. Just a hint. Okay. Let's the hint though, but your office been killing guys the season. I think that people haven't really been paying attention. But the thing is about Jared Goff an Shaw McVeigh's that the very game plan specific. So I'm a little worried. About what they're going to do here. But at the same time, I mean, the best matchup really is for the wide receivers. So I guess it's probably gonna be Jared Goff game. So they're very even to me. I should say. Okay. Seattle allows the second fewest fantasy points the quarterbacks fifteen point staffer twenty points. Rivers twenty one points Trubisky eighteen they really haven't faced a lot of great quarterbacks girly start. And you can't get away from all three Rams wide receivers. Although Robert woods seventy or more yards in eight straight games. But five three games without a touchdown. So he's seems to be more specific. So let's see. Yeah. Might wanna stress to start all three. And if you have to you start both of them. Sure, just FYI. Yeah. 'cause people that all the time. Mike Davis is going to be like a stud, right? If Carson's out. Yeah. And again, if you look back at week five he was a stud that he was one of the touch on when they played the Rams last time. Even when Chris Carson wasn't and getting over one hundred rushing yards. So yeah, I don't I don't see any reason. Even Chris Carlin is playing that you wouldn't play Mike Davis to be entirely Frank. Because again Chris Carson played last week. And then he spent the second half of this leg wrapped. So I think as far as I'm concerned, Mike Davis is going to be involved, regardless. It's just whether or not you wanna take a dart thrown shod penny really workers Carson than easy teen percents own in one game. Without Chris Carson earlier this year he had twenty one Mike Davis at twenty one carries. One hundred one yards in two touchdowns at Zona and four catches. All right, which which Seattle wide receiver. Do you like best? That's so hard. I'm Tyler Lakha girl in terms of consistency knows for the end zone. If you play in non PR formats, he someone who has had a touchdown and all but two games all season. Unfortunately, one of those games last week against the chargers. But still the rest of the time. He's been deeper deeper deacons instant with about three catches probably average fifty ish yards and a touchdown. That's what you can expect from him. I like that I want to be healthier and involved and all of the wonderful beautiful things. And he looks like that's happening caught four passes last week for seventy seven yards, but a little concerned David more they love their and even though he did not have a good game last week, which was unfortunate seven targets to catches for sixteen yards. That's what Brennan Marshall because they loved what they saw from David Moore, Evan talks DJ more. But I think David Moore might have more fantasy points season. Do you think any of these hawks wide? Receivers are must starts. I wouldn't go with must start. But I think it's you're hard pressed to find someone who's more consistent than Tyler Lockett in the National Football League. Our guys really liked Tyler Lockett. He's top twenty four teeth is a little lower on him. But David Jamie, very high on Tyler Lockett he thousand twenty fifth and non PR, but like thirty four.

"It's it's silly to watch how effective he is in Carolina when they when they look to bring pressure. It's typically zone-blitz situation where they're not bringing more than five. Occasionally, rarely bring six late in the game when they needed one. They brought seven with Mike Adams, but that was very rare from what I saw from them on tape. You're right? Yeah, game is. I was against Washington believe it was third eight. If I'm not mistaken, they got that deflections with with Mike Adams. I, I haven't here somewhere, but starting start Saudi, third amongst let's let's I about third and longs because I think this is. Going to be a really interesting spot for Philadelphia, and you never want to gamble be like eagles are going to convert every third down in this game. But I think this is going to be a game of eagles can burn a lot of third downs. I'm gonna tell you why Carolina across pretty much every third and like six plus that I saw does one of two things. One. They want to be a middle of the field open team, which is irregular because they're cover three team and cover threes middle. The field close middle field open is basically saying there's no single high center fielding safety. It's not cover three or one. You're looking at cover two or quarters often because they want to pattern match when they are in third end decently long situations to pattern match. You kind of need to have split safety. So you have the numbers to accomplish the pattern match. So you're very often gonna see, split safety looks rushing four on third and long. Now they're gonna do that, or they're going to basically run a fire zone. They're gonna blitz. Five drop three deep, three hundred and it's pretty clear which one it's gonna be usually at the snap because. If it's gonna be a fire zone, they're gonna six guys peppering scrimmage. So the safeties in the corners have to be where they belong because they're kind of you're, you're putting confusion up in the front and if the split safety pattern match, look, you need to have your guys in place over the receivers so that they all know the reason who's getting the second who's gonna third zone. So it was pretty clear to see and as an offense, you can kind of choose a little bit. You can affect which one to get them. And if you go really tight split, you bring all your receivers, your linebacker, and your tight ends in. It's very difficult to pattern match out of that alignment, but it's really easy to run a fire zone because you have scrimmage anyway, and if you spread everybody out, well, it's very e- that's what you'd like to pattern matching the situation. You have three receives the side to the other side and you can choose, but then it'd be very clear where your blisters or potentially coming from, and it's harder to fake pressure to this side in bring pressure from that size, even kind of affect which one it is. Philadelphia loves to run four man route concepts where or even five men. Concept's where the pre snap read Defoe. LIPA when he was the office coordinator here loves to talk about this. The priest now re was a middle field open or middle field closed read, and with that means is that half of the route concept half of the play. Let's the frontside through c. reside is built to be middle of the field closed, right? Let's call it levels. They're trying to beat covered three running levels of playside. Three guys flooding the zone gorgeous. The backside is not built to be a middle field, closed defense Bill to be a middle of field open defense, right? The running smash cover to right as you got levels to the frontside smash the backside until the quarterback comes up at the snap, and all he has to do is read safety. And if he sees fueled close, he knows going frontside of Millfield opening knows on backside, right? Because that's, that's the pre snap read that idea is a very strong idea. It's very effective for young quarterbacks or something. You see in Shaw McVeigh's office on the UC heavily..

"What made him it what what what made him comfortable was playing on rhythm and so whether they do they created a lot of run action forum where saves concept these is the rpr those there's a run option there and if he's pulling the ball back the ball's coming out quickly takes advantage of his arm town allows him to play fast allows him to get into a rhythm and then with two shawn watson they certainly brought in some things the watson was good at it clumps in some of the option concepts and throw of through off of those bill o'brien and his staff did a great job with that the bottom line is i think what we're seeing is that coaches are acknowledging what's always been the truth which is you do not control where your talent comes from an football your you do not control the way your talent is developed in football the way it happens in baseball the way it happens in hockey these guys are given deal and at twenty two years old you've got to find a way to get them at the top level of the sport ready to play quickly and so now i think what we're seeing more often with is instead of coaches forcing players to adapt to them coaches are adapting to the systems the players are coming from and that's very very smart one thing that shaw mcveigh said to me this was actually probably back in the sprains that i thought says everything about the way that these guys are being coach now the quarterbacks job is the hardest in the fields was my job to make it as easy for him as possible there is a perfect way to put it and i that sort of adaptation coaches adapting to will quarterbacks do well is a big reason why we're seeing some of these quarterbacks able to get on the field not only be functional but be good at a young age question number three from anthony s at a too low eleven but the governor extension nine are still in the mix for alan robinson are and are they still the front runner for him fired a bet right now on where alan robinson is going if he leaves jacksonville if he leaves jacksonville i would say that the niners would be the front runner they've got capspace they've got a desire to get a little more explosive offensively and.

"Will it changed the way you view your organization i thank you always have to to to make sure that you're building your roster to compete with and your division but at the same time you know there's no doubt that everybody in america knows it there's an emphasis on the quarterback position moving forward and whether it's through free agency whether it's a trade option or to the draft will certainly address in address intentionally to to those different scenarios so once we address the quarterback situation we can obviously built around that player but it's an exciting time because for me as a competitor i would have no other way i mean to see the rams improve under shaw mcveigh's done a great job in to see uh you know garoppolo have some success in san francisco and to see them on the right track we know seattle is good football team uh i love that competitive side of it and to me it brings the best out in all of us you know this steve being in this league former executive of the year in 2014 that it is largely not that you're completely quarterback dependent but they touch the ball sixty five times you gotta get that position right i've said this i think donald in rosen our first round quarterback picks i think a josh eln lamar jackson or worthy of pick but probably not in my opinion first round i personally woods struggled a draft baker mayfield i can't get over the police video i can't get over the antics how does that land for you when you have multiple tapes of what i would call questionable judgment by a super talented quarterback.

"Jackson you can hand it to him you can run the option with him here's the thing if you put in a wildcat package what are you going to do with the march in there now that might mean taking your quarterback off the field and some organization might say hey listen at stolen good you know let's find a way to sprinkle him in here put him in the slot thrown some screens you you turn him into a guy who even when you're defending the back side of the field you've got to be worried about 'cause the one thing the kid can do sling the damn football so i think you've got to be open and honest with him and not crushes dream and say listen if you could pick it up and you can run what we do that's the key burt but you said they gotta taylor to him if i'm bringing them in i'm saying if you can prove to me you can do what we do then we'll leave you with that spot or will figure it out and you can work through it or get ready to contribute in other ways if you can't look and i think nfl teams have gotten one more flexible as far as accommodating young quarterbacks and we've seen i mean look you saw it last year i think shaw mcveigh did a great job of doing things to make jerry golf more comfortable and clearly struggle coming from a spread offense at cal going into the nfl in so instead of being heading the wall mcveigh said you know what i'm going to create some run action here i'm going to do some things to get the body your hands quicker i'm going to get you playing on rhythm and it really worked for him you know and so i think we've seen nfl teams get a little bit more creative in finding ways to make quarterbacks comfortable we see what carson wants to amend the rpr knows they put that stuff into make him comfortable light to get him playing faster and so i certainly think there is a way to do it i just you're going to have to do some different things to.

"Of the credit he celebrates his birthday wednesday the man will be thirty two so the rams finished eleven and five on top of the nfc west in his first year on the job and of course grabbed the rams first division title since two thousand three and also here's the new part all of that is kinda nerdy but here's the nerd alert for shaw mcveigh any los angeles rams first team in the super bowl era to go from laughed in the nfl in scoring two first in the league in scoring in consecutive years nerd a alert we're not just talking about going from worse to first in your division or even from worse to making the playoffs we're talking about first team in the super bowl era to ever be last in the league in scoring one year and then tops in the league in scoring the following year there's a lot to lover fans getting on board with the rams not as much the chargers but definitely the rams though the better they got the more it looked as though they be hosting a playoff game it was quite an atmosphere even though they lost to the atlanta falcons just a neat turnaround overall in one of the great stories from the nfl this year so congratulations to sean mcveigh three gonna be fun to see them in the future and and maybe even again next year will see what they can do as an encore but how about also in that division in the nfc west what the san francisco forty nine ers will do next season if they can get jimmy garoppolo under a longterm deal that will be their first order of business but already they've made progress and it's not just about the qb to have john lynch with kyle shanahan the two of them they've got a partnership already that has been productive and while they're starting from the bottom quarterback a big piece of that and now they've got to put weapons around him in addition to building up their defense putting some experience getting some cash a on that defense at the nfc west could have a decidedly different look next season it's after hours would they be lord's.
