Yeah, and plus, you know, you have to give credit to the last two opponents certainly the colts and the bills. They know the Patriots. They know how they have to limit them. And I think anybody who watched the Patriots large portion of the season said, you know, if you take care of Matthew Matthew judon in the pass rush, the pages don't have a whole lot else. But June and barmore had more than half the team's pressures for a long time this season. And if you're going to try to beat the Patriots and play well in offense, you're going to need to limit him. And I think the colts and the bills certainly have and the Patriots have paid for it. And I think Jim, you're right to talk about 2019. It is starting to get that feel where later on in the season, the Patriots get a little bit tired. They're a little bit older, teams understand how you need to beat them and you're just worried about the bad omen that that season ended with an end, but it didn't help that they lost the terrible game against Miami and Ryan Fitzpatrick, and they got to finish the season against Miami this year. It's starting to have instead of a lot of people we're talking about 2001. It's starting now to feel more like 2019. Yeah, you mentioned Mac Jones, the team went one for ten on third down, but they were aggressive on fourth down today. But anyways, Patrick Mahomes made some nice plays down the stretch. There's no question. In a tight spot, there are a few quarterbacks that I'd rather have. But there's something not right with him. I thought that maybe he was beyond it, but that game to me only reinforced that he is not the Patrick Mahomes pre turf toe from last year where, you know, he is, there's something off of those mechanics that haven't gotten ironed out yet. To me, he looks like a quarterback who doesn't really practice that much during the week and maybe he isn't health wise. His lower bodies detached from his upper body. And then the bigger thing for me is he's just not seeing the game right. He's missing a lot of open receivers. This is not like him. And he is just off. So when he's off, the chiefs are very mortal. And more teams down the stretch, especially the ones in the division that know how to play them. They'll do a little bit better job, not the Raiders. They stink. And the Chargers, I don't understand what they're doing coverage wise. But I think that the chiefs are mortal. We'll see. I think the Titans are a handful depending on how healthy they are, but I still think if the Patriots win out here, I think they have a decent chance that the number one seed, but so far this weekend because I did sort of a prediction, how is this going to all come out for the Patriots so far? I've been right barely with the chief's winning the other night, but I have the Patriots finishing as the number two seed in the AFC to the Kansas City Chiefs. But I do not feel great about that after the other night and what I saw from the chiefs. I agree with you completely with mahomes. I think I wonder if it's like a mental thing or something, but with what you say that he's not seeing the game the same way. It feels like it's like a chuck Knoll blog Simone Biles twisties thing like he's just some of the throws he makes and that he's not seeing guys that are wide open. It's like, is this the same guy? The other thing too Greg and like, you know, you mentioned he'll be an in and out of the game. Double Kelsey. They don't have the third option like they have in the past. None of those guys, Robinson, Miko Hardman, they don't really scare you. No, they don't. And, you know, that's what's amazing to me that these teams, especially in their own division, that should know them the best, and normally, you know, division teams play you the toughest. And you'll say like the Broncos give them a handful. The Chargers give them a handful. Yeah, they do because they know I'm the best. They seem twice a year, so that's not that's not any sort of indictment on the chiefs, but I just think that I don't understand how you don't just take Travis Kelce away and say, go ahead, you want to beat me with me Cole Hardman and Pringle and those guys go nuts because Patrick Mahomes has no confidence in them. It's tyreek hill or Travis Kelce or bust. And, you know, I would not be scared of them in the postseason, but you're also hoping that Patrick Mahomes all of a sudden it doesn't start clicking for him and he starts killing you down the field. So I think in games like this and the Patriots have sort of had a few of them in a role in a row, you're trying to, with some of your reps trying to just build a little confidence for some of the guys who need a little bit of love. And I think Nikhil Harry's in that. He's done a good job. You know, blocking at times this season. And so I think they're trying to give them a little cookie. A little bit of encouragement. Offensive line talk, which we all love. Ted Keras. Yeah. Gets the start. Ted garrison there. And we knew we became the unbalanced tackle. Is that going to be the look and I think Trent Brown played the whole game today, right? Yeah, that's it, it seemed like. I think the Patriots will reassess where they are on the line this layoff gives them a chance. I don't think, you know, you're not gonna go from playing a game, Trump Brown just getting healthy, making decisions you made and then barely practicing Thursday night game as a rush. You sort of just want continuity and I think the Patriots will take a look at that. I mean, I would think that they are going to keep the tackles where they are. I think the big question is, do they do they sneak a winning in there for Keras? You hate to mess with a winning streak and what they're doing. And I wouldn't say that the line was outstanding tonight or anything. Those big fellas kind of have it worse with these short turnarounds. I mean, they exert a lot of energy as Joe and I know on these short weeks. And so, you know, I'm overly concerned about it, but I think you stay with the status quo because it's you're starting to click on things and you just you don't want to disturb the rhythm that you have. And that goes for the running backs who have been running great. And all of a sudden you put a new guy in there and it changes the rhythm of things..

Your next year on the Sean's patriots post game show. Yeah. Hey guys, you know, it was a good win today. You really liked what we saw. I did have a concern I went out to grego because I know, you know, I listen to Greg on Tuesday when he's always talking about, and he's a big offensive line guy. And that's obviously one of the concerns this year. I know early on in the season. It was a big concern. It didn't seem like they moved some pieces around and it was less of an issue over the last several weeks, but then today you did see Mac Jones getting a lot of pressure guys getting through and coming up the middle and obviously you want math to stay healthy, but at the same time, if your offensive line is not good, you're not going to get particularly far in this league. So I was just curious, you know, is it a matter of some teams having better pass versus than others? Is it a matter of doing things that have worked in some games and perhaps not other games or what was going on today because this seemed like there would bring more pressure than in past weeks and that's something that's important to have an offensive line that was a one guy through and being a turnstile like we've seen sometimes this year. I'm just curious about that. Thanks. Yes. I think we sort of touched on it earlier, but you know, this Panthers defense with their team speed, especially with the two guys on the edges, burns and Reddick, plus they have a couple of really good interior guys, let alone Shaq Thompson at the second level. They caused everybody problems. I would not judge the Patriots line off of what happened this week. You know, I thought they did a nice job against Bosa last week. You know, they basically own Bosa and give him a lot of attention. The offensive line you definitely have concerns about. And whenever Trent Brown gets healthy and I would not hold my breath, I mean, I think and I've said this before and Felder mass, as far as I know, they are just trying to get him fully healthy. They're not worried about rushing him back and having another setback. They just want him to get healthy. They know he's a good player when he gets back. I don't think they have a plan. I think they're just waiting for him to get healthy. But I think once he does get back, they either go back to the original alignment or they think about either moving win or sitting him down moving him inside the guard. I don't know. We're gonna have to see what happens, but the first thing is getting Trent Brown healthy and no one knows when that's gonna be. Yeah, I mean, I'm always in favor of, you know, I don't know if they were very afraid of the Texans returner and that would have been Andre Roberts. Yeah. Andre Roberts is really good. And so they were probably afraid they were probably afraid of a trick play, but normally Joe in that situation with that amount of time, you want the clock to run. So you kick the ball in bounds and you have them do something. You should have some sort of safe kick-off and kick-off coverage there. I think that was an indication of how afraid they were of Andre Roberts, just making a play. And as far as I lost track of his various other points, but he had a lot of good ones. On the line, you know, if they could. Oh, the guys aren't catching the ball. I brought this up the gym earlier. Is there a guy on the team that can make a catch and not fall right down? Like I know Bourne had one earlier, but like it feels like I mentioned Brandon Lloyd. Catch the ball and fall right down. They don't have a guy that can catch and run. Yeah, I would agree with you. I think if the Patriots hang around and it looks like they have a chance, I think if I was GM of the team, I would be on the lookout for a slot receiver that can help this team. I just think, look, I like Jacoby Myers, I want him out there, but and I don't know how the pieces would fit, but they need a guy who can get open very quickly against any type of coverage in that Mac Jones knows he can go to. I mean, I think today was obvious that he has a lot of comfort in hunter Henry and that's great, but against faster teams on defense, they're going to need quicker answers, and I just don't think they have enough right now. Have you noticed anything and watching film of prior games that maybe Nelson algorithm getting doubled? Is he not getting nope? Because I do feel like when he does get it, like he's pretty sure hand it looks like the Nelson Aguilar of well good Nelson agro and agile of last year with Vegas. I just feel like they're not utilizing them enough. I just think he's a byproduct of not everything's working in the passing game from the protections to the backs picking up blitzes and, you know, and even Mac Jones, I think, look, I think that I think it's very obvious that the Patriots have a plan to bring Mac Jones along very slowly. And I think that not everybody's going to agree with that, but that's the direction they've gone with. And I think that agile is a deeper threat. I don't think he's been doubled. I don't see why he would be doubled. I just think he's a bribe product of the passing offense isn't that great isn't executing great at this point. And so he's not getting as much action as I think he will in the second half of the season. What did you make of the play of Mac Jones overall today to make some steps outside of the coaching stuff, not trusting him seemingly in the red zone? I thought he played pretty solid. I mean, you know, look, the interception was terrible. You know, his stats would probably look better if Jacoby Myers didn't have that just God awful drop before halftime. I mean, that's just. That was almost as bad as a turnover. There, I mean, he was wide open, I know. The incredible James Lofton thought that Jacoby Myers was then going to leap the defender and score a touchdown from 30 yards out. But, you know, I'll give him maybe another ten yards or so. But that was brutal. You know, I thought he did, I thought he did a good job. He managed. It was a managed game. I still, I'm hopeful that the Patriots offense with the protection and execution and things like that gets to the point where, you know, when they do take a deep shot, it's more than just play action and max protection and things like that. You know, I just think the issues have limited Mac Jones. I think he's capable of a lot more, but, you know, he's got to cut down a little bit on some of the mistakes, the interception was tough, you know, he threw the ball into a couple of places where you didn't really like it he could have had another like three interceptions. But it's hard enough being a rookie quarterback in this league gym without having to deal with all the changes around you. So he's getting sort of a baptism by fire. This season and hopefully he's better for it over the course of the season. And just sticking with The Rookie quarterback, what'd you think of Davis mills today? I really liked him. I mean, I really liked him coming out too and I know the Patriots did. And the only thing I think the thing that knocked him down a peg basically in because he was more of a day to quarterback. I'm not exactly sure where he was drafted. You probably know third round pretty much. Yeah, and that's the thing. I mean, he was a guy that most NFL teams were like, dude, what are you doing coming out? Like stay in school for another year, he could have a specially considering what the QB class next year looks like since like Spencer Rattler looks terrible and you know, I think you're now talking about maybe some mid major quarterbacks being like the top of the class. I mean, if he would have stayed in school and had a nice season, he'd be a top. He really, he certainly a first rounder, if not the first quarterback taken, and a lot of people questioned that. And then also he had a lot of injury problems. I think or he has to this point. So those things combined in these he did show some I thought he was more of an athlete today than I recall watching his college film. But I thought he was really good and you could see why the Patriots really liked him that he was sort of, you know, plan B if somebody took Mac Jones or there was some player there in the middle of the first round that they couldn't pass up at 15. And maybe they passed on Mac Jones and couldn't get them again. And later on in the first round, but yeah, I was impressed. I thought he did a really nice job and you could tell that they used him to do a lot of things that the line of scrimmage and really smart guy good player rabe was good. Well, especially on that first drive, too, where it's 18 plays 79 yards, they take ten and change off the game clock. They're picking up third down if it third down. They're picking up a fourth down. So I thought mills was good, but outside of Matt judon, Craig, where's the pass rush on this team? Do you see someone up front? Nonexistent. Yeah, and why? Was that game plan, though? Today it was obvious they did not rush the passer. Yeah, they did not rush to pass. I think, you know, they knew they had a pocket quarterback on their hands. I think, you know, going into the game, you probably think, well, we're not getting by Laramie tunsil, and then he goes out of the game, so then if you do want to start to apply some pressure, all of a sudden you need to change things. I think that they went into this game saying like we're going to rush the minimum. We're going to drop back into coverage and hopefully he makes some mistakes and they thought maybe they might get home against the interior with less and sort of zone bliss as things like that. It looks like the bucks had finally figured out the Patriots to a certain extent. They just went to the power running game, they said, forget it. If they're going to keep going light boxes, let's just run them over. And that's what they did. But then the Patriots answered with a 7 play 77 yard scoring drive, all 7 plays were Mac Jones passes. They did not face the third down on the drive. That's good efficient football. And look, does this team need to find bigger chunk plays and big plays? Yeah, but it's not Mac Jones's fault. I mean, you know, these guys, they're not exactly an explosive group. Any of them. From the tight ends to the wide receivers. I mean, they're operating with a slot receiver who, you know, as good as he is, and I love Jacoby Myers, but he's limited as an athlete. He's not that fast. And so look, I think it's mostly I don't think their personnel is great to be a quick strike scoring team. I think they'll get better as the season goes along, especially if Mac Jones and Josh McDaniels know from down to down that they can trust the protection, but I just think right now the faith isn't there and they're just trying to do the best that they can. And I thought, I thought tonight was really, you know, efficient. And I thought they did a nice job. Yeah, just speaking of the protection, Brandon Bolden at times, I know he missed one bad block. I think he improved as the game went on, but they're going to have to make a move there, right? And I thought Belichick owed it to the team to say, you know what? You guys have executed for the most part to this point. You've put us in this position. What's freaking go for it and let's come up with a play. And the game right here and that didn't happen and I thought it was a missed opportunity. And yeah, I would have gone for it there. There was something similar that happened actually at the end of the first half. They went for that double pass on a third down. It was fourth in one, they called the time out with the offense on the field and sub like the punt team back out they tried to get the bucks off guard. It just didn't work. It gave Brady, a chance to run the two minute drill. And they scored a field goal on that. But were there any things that you questioned tonight besides? That and what do you think happened at the end of the half there? I didn't mind the end of the half Joe for this reason. They were in danger area there. And look, how it went, it didn't work out splendidly for them. But look, you know, whether it's the end of the half or the end of the game, you know, your defense has to make place. You know, they didn't do the job at the end of the first half. They didn't do the job at the end of the game again. And look, you go for it there, and the Patriots have not been able to run the ball. Not exactly an opposing passing offense to pick up that maybe on a short throw. It's not easy and you're going to give Tom Brady the ball at midfield. With a chance for two touchdowns to wrap around the half, the Patriots had done, they had the game where they wanted it..
