terrible odor and my van and I'm looking around to see if like if there's a if that matters on fire what's going on in those horrible and then I get this warm feeling come out of my body that I always get when I know the guys around me and I'm and every time that happens I knew something paranormal big is going to happen you know and that so I try to tell my dad I said look I said there's just one thing we want you to do and I'm not able to tell you what that is but I said that's all we want you to do it's your responsibility and your words he was looking out the windshield and he turned around looked at me and had real lightly live and his eyes was in black liquid you could see him I could see a turn right around looked at me I'd I'd rather spotted me and his eyes rolling like black liquid in his eyes Jeez why didn't have god in that man out at our track mounted on yet with the most so weird where do you think dad ended up down in tell you what I don't know but he died he we had here in the in restaurants so much about the when we had no idea how many siblings we had but there was a lot of kids that grew up and not step kids and things like that I guess yeah I have here is that I am not alone one night to go to the hospital he went to the hospital he was like I think eight years old at this time and it would have been four years since my mother died he still kept organising after she died he never mellowed out duty now and not from the till they died man he just never changed but he died in the US the hospital called and said they needed permission to cut his leg off the apparently had diabetes and that that and we're like you know if you wake up my brother my brother studies in his right mind you make is I decision you know because like Albany died during surgery and law died right there with nobody but himself that alone is the worst thing that could happen to him the not have his loved ones around him but I don't know if you know he must've been abused as a kid or beaten as a kid for him to continue to carry on and do what he was doing texts and tweets Tom what do you have forces segment how bout a question from dharma in Columbus Ohio do you have a favorite movie action character and has here she affected your life in any way that's an interesting question is movie action could be a human being or does it have to be like a cartoon features says here do you have a favorite movie action character movie action character right you know what I've never thought about that I'd like good acting I'd like to put but you know I'd like Jimmy Stewart I think she's referring to like a like an Indiana Jones or like a walkie or I can you know James Bond how about that okay you see like a recurring care James then they've been so many James Bond split did the other James Bond movie that they just did come out they were I think they were holding it because of the covert dying teen I don't know but I'm probably like one in ten trillion people but I really am Soviet Union and what might that be alive in the ground it was very intense time like that so there is value were can happen one of my name shows up on my van I'm sure everybody is basically gonna what's going to happen so I go to on the retreat back in nine back in ninety one I spent three weeks with my uncle down under and it was a recall what wondering the winds come from the south west of that they're close friends come to the south of the northeast and a certain presence silence about the Baltics was deafening at the time and man have flat band that was very offensive demand my uncle was definitely had fired on Subutex role in that regard so he felt the same way while I'm going down this road that was written my mom's friend the Dow's born again was later raped and murdered in this valley I found out one of my classmates was raped or murdered and have my fifty five miles into a southwest wind there's normally a point were driving in to capitalize off the gas going south on maybe three because it's downhill all the stuff you know I hit this one I can finally make it and I'm over forty low middleweight craziness is fifty five this is about fifty miles of the trip some pretty much across the the only way the whole memory lane the good memories with Ross on the bed and the realizing how forty in looking at things from an adult perspective well last weekend that that president had passed away and so it's like this throughout my life this aspect of the Cold War which I try to keep from the valley is now right there and so yeah I bite into the prophetic when not realizing that why go about I expect certain things to happen and it was just like well this is par for the course but this is different so that's kind of my paranormal stories a bike chain busted "Get it then that's going to be hated I think they will gonna be hated most quarters Joe on June thirtieth you may not come around to that right but I think most people look at Kyra Irving and Kevin Durant and said Blanco I hope they never went and they may never win I'm certainly not going to sit here and tell you I'm confident to pressure the V. is ratcheted up now even more all that they got a win I mean now you know now it's OK everything's wonderful in light and beautiful and you know no matter what happens is you're gonna make the playoffs but no matter what happens this year we all know it's all about next year but now you have you have ratcheted up the pressure a hundred times over and you better win it was funny man the pressure was always there now it's what you signed Kevin do you see and you abandon what you were building I don't have a problem with because I say this I've said this for months if you don't want Kevin Durant because he's coming off Achilles you don't want career because you think he's bad in the locker room my only question to you would be okay show me the other path that was get me a championship run show it to me right wasn't resigning deangelo Russell getting Tobias Harris really wasn't within its winning a championship that way now okay no I understand so he did what they had to do of course but they have a I look like I said I had no issue with them until now now I got an issue that's fine Joe did he also bring your guy you know whoever it is whoever that guy used it you know I actually heard mark Jackson's name mentioned what actually you know what's the story with that what's the story this story is we'll see based on who is hired as the next head coach of this team who is really calling the shots if more Jackson is the next head coach of his team we know where that's coming from that's coming from Kevin Durant courses led by rich Klein no question if hi Lou as the next head coach of this team got that chi res calling the shots but Sean marks will look at a guy who got the most out of Kyra Irving they won an NBA championship with him coaching at Cleveland Cavaliers team it was a notable Brian was there of course well of course Hey look who's probably really coaching team no data we're going to be fair about it big calorie Irving didn't get David Blackfire lebron James well of course okay right exactly exactly if we look at it and by the way he worked because they fired Blatt they hired tai lu and they won the NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors fired mark Jackson hired Steve Kerr it worked because they won the NBA championship I don't know if it's gonna work yet the Bucks fire Jason Kidd and then Prunty who is the interim coach and hired my Gounod's so far it looks like it's going to work that's the hope that you have the whole day you have is that Kenny Atkinson is gonna be looked at like doing Casey he looked out like mark Jackson could be looked at like G. sync it to a degree where he was the guy that helped elevate you but it was someone else that took it to the next level now who is that guy is it mark Jackson is it hi Lou is it Mike Brownlee you know what I'm dreaming of one nine I don't know what what what you want in there somewhere okay well what I would do that we've you guys one of the great Popovich boy do I dislike the nets dislike us no I'm just telling you what I think I would want to lose you one more chance for growth Bob I guess Popovici but we did know what Steve Kerr was anyone appointed three titled really fair road you know who we don't know to me mark Jackson was a damn good coach until they decide I don't want a war I don't know was it Steph curry and Klay Thompson a gun fired at all what was it what you know to the front office that just didn't want him anymore because he didn't get along with a well that's what that's the that's the that's the pervading for the flooding the market actually sees interactions with the front office that that's what caused him to lose the job right away right mark Jackson deserves credit for bin lorries the Golden State Warriors of course he does Steve Kerr like you said right I got it right over the top so you're right if it's a first time head coach of it's Phil handy the long time assistant for Cleveland I was an assistant now like if he's the guy of course at first I'm gonna say really of course but if he wins he wins right of course Titlu same thing but I I've learned that anything is possible I learned that when Kevin Durant signed here even though the fruits of that is not paid off yet because he hasn't played a damn game yet here no one thought Kevin Durant was signing with the net you didn't think Kevin Durant was signing with an outside didn't know so when I hear the connection or see the connection that Sean marks as to Gregg Popovich I no longer just rule everything out and assume it can't happen why would I anymore look I'm not saying it can't happen ninety I didn't say that and whether you would hate the nets more anyone else would hate them that's more quite frankly I don't really want to win I want to win and what gives the nets the best chance to win probably one of the greatest coaches of all time he's top five top ten obviously of course I want to and why do I think it could happen to the spurs are going nowhere in a creek Popovich wants to elevate Becky Hammon or elevate Tim Duncan the best way to have that happen is to leave right one of them take over and you go chase a title shot or else now do I think it's likely Gregg Popovich coaches the naturally it's likely but you know what after June thirtieth I think anything is possible that's my hope obviously my would be my hope to get a hold to be the next head coach I understand you Gregg Popovich I understand after that I don't know I don't know I'd like to see mark Jackson get the job just because it on the internet fan but just because I'd like to see mark Jackson finally get a break again because I think he's been totally blackballed but you know are you getting it this way kind of would bother me a little bit but I would want to see mark Jackson get the job getting it this way we member that Daddy you got it you know because of Kenny Jackett's in being always look it up but then again mark Jackson got so you get a job back by you know the guy get here's the bottom line is the bottom line of Kenny Atkinson okay he did a very good job developing Joe Harris he did a very good job developing Spencer Dinwiddie he did an incredible job developing d'angelo Russell I cannot tell you that he would have been successful coaching this team next year I don't know I don't know what type of coach he would have been with star players I had plenty of issues with Kenny Atkinson and Kenny I guess over the years but the positives outweigh okay I would we deserve the chance to be there for also yeah it deserves we deserve a chance to win okay that's the priority to ensure marks who so far has been overall a pretty good job building this team I hope for his sake for my own sake but my heart's sake that he knows what the heck he's doing and realize Hey I don't think any coach this team he's lost the players I'm not sure if I'm not sure if his style mmhm the lack of adjustments he never had a film called the big time out I don't want that to be me picking on Kenny I've said these things about Kenny for years new I don't think you deserve to lose a job Saturday morning I said that to you then I feel that way now but the whole deserve this deserve that I want to win end of Shaun marsh realizes he cannot coach this basketball team for whatever reason because Kevin Durant doesn't love them or anyone else then you've got to make the move because this is a business about who deserves it or not it's a business about winning that's all I do is a fan that's all you care about is the fans to know you like the heat is on he told Sean marks you made a decision fire Kenny Atkinson go ahead find the replacement and next year you better win because the clock is not going to last very long Kevin Durant he's a guy he's how many years ago his deal Kevin yeah after this season he's got two years and that often so he could opt out after two years same thing with carrier right now we'll see how the next two years ago it Kevin Durant can stay healthy he'll probably opt in to get paid to file your juror but I look at this as a two year window that they have two years not about wasting time and a short March look at Canion said look does he deserve the chair jury deserves a chance but I'm probably in the firing in December anyway then make the move get the right guy for the job that's the bottom line make this whole thing is very weird you're right he's never coach Kevin Durant but this was also a weird year in which they signed Kevin Durant knowing he was never going to play yeah Kevin Durant had the opportunity on like Magic Johnson who played for Paul Westhead bright we basically got him fired right we're chasing kid wide success Byron Scott before you got him fired up he had a chance to watch it a chance to look he had a chance to see so while we never played form he was certainly around and that's why I just based on the evidence Kevin Durant was more involved in this thing it was his career he's nowhere to be found well he's also do you know he's the second fiddle to Durant so of course sure this was Kevin Durant's decision maybe are being out a little say in it maybe maybe just went along with Kevin you know I mean I could be but I I didn't know I don't disagree the rats the main culprit here if you will we'll get your calls a lot of baseball and football to get to as well but I'm going Roberts on the fan hiring can be challenging but ziprecruiter makes it fast and easy we talked to see Dylan miss what's needed to hire director of coffee for his company cafe culture we would look through lots of applications for people who are not qualified it definitely felt like we were looking for a.

"To the program Lori Rubinson here with you the nets they're building a special culture they're in playoff position they were the big winners in free agency this past summer and so they fired their head coach to talk about the S. and what's going on we bring in Brian Lewis from the near post Hey Brian how are you all right are you doing I'm doing well so I remember us talking in last season about the nets and all and they're all these feel good things happening with this team and they were building a special culture and all this and now we have this weekend they quote unquote they say they did they mutually decided to part ways as a mutual decision with head coach Kenny Atkinson is this a firing or is there more to this story usually right usually that's just sports speak for you fire your coach I would say this I clearly had come to the realization that they were certain guys in the locker room it just he wasn't getting through to you can call it to worry about whatever you want to say and the situation wasn't getting any better if anything was just getting worse and then when you look in the fact that you understand the ten is going to be in a position where he would be in demand with some teams that are in rebuild mode yeah you know maybe even the team in the garden yeah if it's gonna go down it was gonna happen yeah it's probably better that it happened now then it happened on April twenty eighth or may first or even mayor yeah whenever to so I was deleting and saying that if he was under the impression or told that look you're not going to be able to coach Kevin Durant in this team next year if he knew that then he may have that might that's the only thing I can understand that would explain on some level the timing which otherwise does seem odd to me you mentioned there are certain players certain guys that he felt like he wasn't getting through to it's just getting worse at I understand it's obviously all speculation but your around the team all the time who are some of those certain guys I mean I have been led to believe the hives there are reports out there that Tyree actively wanted him fired I don't know that that's true I haven't been told that I have been told that their relationship wasn't quite where they hoped it would be at that point now there's a big listen there's a big jump between actively wanting somebody fired and you're not getting through to them yeah they're not the same thing there are also reports out there that when Kevin Durant's name in there I have not been told at a toll okay apple I'm not doing their own true I'm just saying that's not my information I know Kevin Durant did have a lengthy conversation with Sean before Friday's game I can't say what the tenor of that conversation was or how substantive it was all I can say is he had a lengthy conversation with John before that game the coach of the game and the next morning ten is gone that's our timeline that that's all about yeah and like I said I'm not privy at what was said in that conversation and Kevin Durant had said when he signed here but didn't say when he signed here he said in September yeah I came here partly because I want to play for Kenya yes so what was your opinion of you know Kenny may feel like she wasn't getting through a certain guys given the no Kevin Durant Kyrie Irving the Irving injury situation played twenty games you know in N. out couldn't count on him what is your opinion of the job coaching then the coaching job that can the act and said did this season I mean I thought he did a good job now you have to understand Tenny is him I think Kenny has steadily improved as a bench coach since he got here we can we got here he was a developmental coach that's what he was he was a developmental coach who had to learn how to be a bench coach I think he improved in that now you could argue with some rotation decisions that he made you could criticize some in game work that he did overall though when you look at the injuries that they had it not only injuries are created equal when your best player doesn't play second second best player plays twenty games in your third best player missed two dozen games in a row I think he did a fine job perfect no flawless no but good yeah Brian Lewis from the New York Post and Shaun marsh talks so much about culture does it go against the culture they are creating to fire a coach mid season or if what you're saying is that can you knew he was going to be gone at some point and asked to say Hey do it now does that say something for the culture that they honor those wishes knowing there when it crashed well when you say culture I mean here's the thing this is this is the new NBA and it's not even that new we're twenty twenty but in the NBA it's really straightforward this is a player's leaves and more accurately this is the stars Lee yeah so we shop all in gets elevated to be the head coach the interim coach and in his first press conference he's flat saying I am a vessel yeah he's hoping to get that job right at school I am here this is the service industry and I am here to serve these guys that's very self aware good for him because even the job pays well and there aren't very many of them right you want to position knows what time it is right exactly that's what I'm saying so when you say this is the culture change the culture changed on June thirty that's when it change sign Kevin Durant the culture changes that's right I mean and in if anybody that doesn't they didn't think it was going to change on you thirty two they really haven't been paying attention to the way the NBA's gone I talked to Brian Lewis from the post talking about the nets and this decision end so how much input is soon because of this we can assume however that nets coach is going to be based on knowing that it's going to be Kevin Durant is probably not the most important career being de Andre Jordan all of that any idea given those players and their relationships some names that we should be on the lookout some other vessels besides Donavan well I mean if you're looking in house obviously yeah I mean John has a good relationship with Tyree he was basically tasked to work with Tyree I mean he worked with him pregame he worked within after practices they developed a good relationship so I mean immediately I mean he called Tyree bright early that morning had a conversation and so I mean they have a good relationship on Katie's angle you have Adam Harrington who is located in OKC they have a good relationship have you looking outside the organization then you're looking at guys like you know mark Jackson hi Lou anti Lou as history obviously retiree specific a positive history we have a number which is now I have a history with very a positive history with Tyree so that would be that would be two more names I mean we're early in the process so I mean those are just guys that off the cuff you're looking at and saying you're asking me relationships or guys that those stars might be interested in those are some names and in terms of the type of coach that you think would do well here you mentioned developmental coach obviously there's bench coach there's this there's that is the job descriptions simply get along well with your superstars or what's the type of coach that you think would do well here I mean I think that cement that's mandatory there are certain other things yes but if you're not going to get along with the stars it's not going to work get flat out and you mentioned that Kenny Atkinson obviously is a good developmental coach and hypothetically if you throughout there is another team of the coaching vent vacancy and he would not even have to move his home in there is a New York Knicks in terms of where the Knicks are do you think knowing what you do covering Kenny Atkinson would he be a good fit for the next and what they need to it will get accomplished I mean that might be a question that my coworker mark Berman answer because he would know the palace intrigue at the garden better than I would but from Kenny's perspective I think Kenny would be a perfect fit for what I think the next need I mean when you look at their roster and you look at the H. and you look at the raw talent of some players and then you look at where they are now and where they need to get to to be and players in the NBA yes I think he would be a perfect fit to go to the next I should say a perfect fit to go back to the next yeah I mean he always held them in high regard in his four years there yes so I think he would be a perfect fit to go back as their coach and certainly he showed he could develop young players whether that was the Angelo Russell caris levert Spencer did many Jarrett Allen all of them end is there a player now as we move forward with shop on somebody that you think all right yeah put aside obviously Tyree KD they're not playing but of the current nets and has a look to move forward with a playoff push is there a player you think will be helped buy a buy it now being shocked one see more somebody thank you that would be hurt in terms of whether that's playing time or their develop overall development with this coaching change I would say he is in terms of minutes and starts and opportunities it wouldn't be the worst thing for deandre Jordan now then by the same token if you're going to say Deondre is picking up spare minutes those have to come from somewhere and there share it Allen yeah now where would you stand if we look at the season and say that it just seems to me given where the nets are whether they end up holding on to the seventh spot or falling to the eighth is a sort of a a major falling apart yeah job it feels to me like they should make the playoffs and yet this team without calorie without KD I don't see them making any particular deep run wouldn't you think it makes more sense than for a player like Jarrett Allen and the upside he has there to get more minutes in a season like this then put more minutes on io and having that toll on de Andre Jordan well all right let's take the first half of that one I would agree and the way their way they're sitting right now what you're talking about a six game lead so yes yeah should it be able to hold on to that because I don't have all that much faith in the wizards right secondly it would make no sense to Mary Jarrett Allen he's what twenty one I mean he's still improving I don't think that they would bury him I don't think they would not play him he's still going to get minutes and he may eventually go back into the starting lineup and he's still going to play you know significant time for them so I would agree if you're telling me I'm going to take a guy and I'm gonna reduced his minutes from whatever thirty five to fifteen played nineteen sent it yesterday Alan I mean I yeah yeah and yeah deandre Jordan plan twenty nine I would imagine again it's hard for me to predict but I would imagine Jared probably would be somewhere in the nineteen to twenty two range you know I mean my.

"Sixty six sixty six producing tonight it is Mister Pete Hoffman on the board is Antonio Carrillo I just found out tonight his final voyage here often thought and we wish Antonio well in his future endeavors I don't know we may have to say I think it actually is it safe to say Antonio that we have mutually decided to part ways yeah I don't know I'm just putting it out there we've mutually decided to part ways us here on the program on WFAN and Antonio and by that we mean that Antonio has another job I think in the case of Kenny Atkinson and the Brooklyn nets they have mutually decided to part ways and by that they mean you're fired now I think they mutually decided to part ways in the same way that the Los Angeles Lakers last year mutually decided to part ways with Luke Walton as their head coach now I wouldn't curious and and Brian Lewis of the near post who covers the nets is gonna be my G. gas coming up after you the ten forty update so here's how it's gonna go I'm gonna do a monologue you're gonna they're gonna take your calls that's coming up in the next segment and then Brian lose to come on and he's going to help us out here because I want to know the way Sean marks the general manager of the Brooklyn nets was talking about this whole mutually decided to part ways things and there's a bunch of aspects of this that I want to break down and discuss so the first is at you know is there any shred of something else that was going on in that can you hear the timing where Kenny Atkinson got the impression or was told that Hey you're not going to be the coach of this team next year you're not going to be the one that's going to have the opportunity to take this team potentially to the promised land to the op that you know in NBA finals to contention what is gonna level with yes Sean marks and he maybe had a an upfront relationship and he says I gotta be honest with you buddy and look at I don't know you don't know I'm just speculating here some of put this right out there in speculate here but is it possible that the superstar players why is a superstar player and Kevin Durant I felt like he wanted a different head coach different type of head coach maybe there's someone specifically in mind or just someone else that can yeah I can send strange is developing younger players but not so much the one of the state's coddling but relationship nurturing ego stroking getting the most out of the superstar all star veteran type of players maybe just maybe that's the case that those players especially the big three free agents Kevin Durant Tyree Irving de Andre Jordan after hanging around watching this for a while this season just not their particular Cup of tea so they may have mentioned this to whether they mention it to ownership they mention it to the general manager or they mention to their agents who mentioned it to ownership or the general manager and Sean marks felt like he and Kenny Atkinson this is all hypothetical but Ian Kenny Atkinson had the kind of relationship where he told them that and I can send said you know what if we are going to if you ditch me at some point then why not give Jacques Vaughn a chance right now if you're telling me that some of these players feel like my voice in the locker room is not getting through give my number two guy who I like a lot Jakoban give him his chance to see if his voice is more helpful for the rest of the season and if your Kenny Atkinson you're thinking well for your own self interest that this gives you an opportunity to be available for and considered and as soon as their openings after the season so I get it if perhaps it will be say mutually parted ways the Atkinson from a timing standpoint may have said if you're going to fire me at some point and not give me the opportunity to coach Kevin Durant next season then just fire me that that might be a timing thing the other aspect of this that I want to talk to Brian Lewis and understand is how much have we been sold the bag of goods with the nets and Sean marks everything was about this fantastic culture that they were building a great culture and this great culture is part of Kevin Durant even cited at this great culture that they were building in the neck at with the nets but the great culture frequently was tied back to you this combination of Shaun marsh general manager Kenny Atkinson head coach and what they were building together the staff the coaching staff that that they had put together that was Kenny Atkinson had put together the approach the the direction of the franchise all that Kenny Atkinson willing that team last year coaching them up developing young players developing caris Lavert developing deangelo hall last year develop deangelo also and he'd be a defensive backs away not not not him but developing you know in the the S. Spencer Dinwiddie Gary over developing Jared Allen developing all of these players see until Russell all of them so that we were seeing these improvements of the young players they took a step forward they made the playoffs they showed the nets to beat a team that could get to the playoffs that could take a team like the Sixers to him give them a run for their money in a playoff series all that we saw last year that was what Kenny Atkinson was building and this year's theme their expectations but a lot of those expectations were also supposed to be with a healthy hi Kyree Irving as a superstar player in the lineup we saw twenty games he was in and out of the lineup he was hurt and didn't really play much at all this year and obviously Kevin Durant didn't play and next year is really the year than with with Durant there and on the court and you hope but healthy Kevin Durant that we get to see what the nets can be and if you're talking about this great culture then you you turn around and fire the head coach in the middle of the season it just doesn't look good for your culture now there been things out there about the next should consider Kenny Atkinson and you know Pete how often are we talking about this before the show I think Atkinson would actually be a good head coach for the Knicks I really do but where where they are right now not for the team that at some point maybe Leon rose can bring in some star players upgrade talent but with where the Knicks are right now they get a bunch of young players who need to be developed and Kenya concerned does that well now if the Knicks after the season wanna hire a big name coach a Jeff van Gundy type of coach there is the rumors are that Leon roses is close to Tom Thibodeau easy am friends with van Gundy you want to hire a coach with the name I think Kenny Atkinson is at least somebody to consider I would love him on the bench with a Jeff van Gundy at the next and get him back but as an assistant but I think he's going to have opportunities out there based on what he did with the nets to be a head coach and if you're the next but I'm under no illusion that the Knicks have some sort of superb culture that they have built so if you want to eat it bring in Kenny Atkinson for a couple years have them develop the young talent and then turn around and pull a next move on him and determine a few years the net in the next it's never it's never about some sort of special culture the net folders that and I was buying it Hey now Hey Phil little duped by that I get the goal is to win and win big but I don't understand you weren't if you're the nets you weren't going to win a championship with this roster this year Kenny Atkinson has them in playoff position so the only thing that makes any sense of fire in the middle of season makes no sense to me it just doesn't I don't understand that anyway so there has to be more going on here I wanna understand it keep it tuned after the ten forty update Brian Lewis from post gonna join me we'll try and figure that out in the nets and Knicks on this the it was all the Knicks craziness or whatever the nets turning around and firing a coach in season when you're in playoff position on many ever really got an opportunity to close this the your superstar in in Kevin Durant it made me think about that we're having right now kind of it's it's it's like role reversal time and things are happening at the moment that you scratch your head and say you know that doesn't seem like them and I'll tell you another example of that doesn't seem like them but I guess we're living it is Mets and Yankees style that doesn't seem like them already for years years we cry for the maps for their injuries right they're a bunch of buffoons they can't handle injuries everybody always gets hurt half the roster is on the injured list it was the disabled list out the injured list back then it was but everybody's always hurt injuries injuries injuries and there were a few features of a classics this is so Mets injury one was then it it seems like no matter what they told you the player was out longer than whatever they said and the second is that it always seem like there was a misdiagnosis or something and maybe somebody was rushed back into playing you know all that kind of stuff and those those were the classic certain signs any issues that we typically would have with like Mets injuries well now Mets fans find some find a piece of wood near you and knock on it knock on wood because I don't think you were never but the Mets are relatively healthy they were relatively healthy last season and they're going into this season relatively healthy now the exceptions are Jed Lowrie who has a just mysterious leg injury and a leg brace all up and down his leg and by the way coming up in the twelve o'clock hour around twelve forty I will be joined by Tim Seeley from Newsday and I will try and get to the bottom of that check out at least ask about the Jed Lowrie injury and but the injuries Jed Lowrie and you wanna says business and look at them in maybe the most Mets thing ever of course says but it's had a run in with a wild boar yeah that is it is hard to top from most Mets thing but.

"At home yeah because you need to make a couple for the week before it should already be nice you want to make Ricky Fowler right you know if you have that right the players he won the place to make sure that it's still done a major job today that is good is a big if you're not gonna win any major so you won the player that is host of the preachers he's not but he still needs to give me one of the big four it does so now what we're all set you know I'm sorry seven I'm wild up but when you have money I don't know why wouldn't we wouldn't donde no loading I know it looks nice Rickie Fowler yeah when one of it you want to hear when you restrict the greatest remember vision across the site back in the day he got out I had my Jaan I don't money I mean that's what I mean so but a topic we don't talk about right but yeah no pressure yeah so so what what I please dial on a crystal first we can't win it correct that right we never get that break I never watching Kristoff become the superstar now in the making he's here he's here so you got the right team let me seems to be what let me see you stay healthy brawl well you don't look at the size of a now it's evident might wanna be touched his father look like he's going to block the narrow it to this player is that it's just gonna want to skip this but this team forever afterwards I mean it's the sort of stuff I think he's weighing in at a very very high level right now but the concern I have about Kristaps porzingis is the same concern that Joe has anatomy seems they don't stay on the floor yeah but has he been playing he is playing out of his mind since late January since coming back from his injury yes there's no denying that and we know this is the risk the risk is by raising his puts it all together let's see you put it together for more than just a year he's as well not even a year ago asked Friday fifteen games via that also makes a good point in the gospel with Rickie Fowler and and Fleetwood they they really have a win either of his I know flat file as one plays but need you know he has won a major it's a big deal Eric in Bridgewater Harry how are you guy how are you good good Hey so Joe I wanted so yeah I'm thirty years old I'm a long suffering Mets and jets fan like you I feel like I'm sixty watching these two teams so you must feel like you're ninety seven well I mean that there absolutely are a lot of days I feel ninety smart what the what a couple calls ago talking about Brian Cashman and correct me if I'm wrong he he took over the Yankees in nineteen ninety eight it is not what was it no I think ninety seven what's a what's in what year was Bob watches last year I think it is good to go over nineteen ninety eight I'm working on right nineteen okay yes okay so Yankee fans are so spoiled they're gonna complain about when the World Series under this guy at ninety eight ninety nine two thousand appearing in all one appearing in three winning it all now yes and having having a winning season every year let's be let's be fall we yet last first of all this is a flawed argument thanks to this all the time is so easy for us is met fans to say compare yourself to the Mets even wanna compare themselves to the Mets the for your arguing against Bryant or for Brian Cashman I'm sorry and it's done all the time even the room the riser is wrong as I care about that the Mets are so that goes out the window no I agree with the premise that broadcasters early TM but I'm not bringing up the Mets stinking Johnson's as a reason again you just have to play in the same city I understand he has a one championship since two thousand and nine but I mean to me when he sees it every year he said when it all he said years were you in the expectation couple years ago when the level was way down and he comes out of nowhere with a teenager comes the one game of getting to the World Series they won a hundred games the last couple years you know I mean they're right there I mean I it's hard for me to kill Cashman it's hard well that's no no I agree with that part I'm just attack in our last call fighting anything can happen to me the beats audio give me cash me I'll take a minute to relevant yeah I don't really care about no expectations what they want in the year when I think about what has made him the lasting thing was with the Mets expects a life has been a yeah yeah I like as well okay you're right about casually he's the Yankees now he is simple for you think of yeah exactly as you think of Steinbrenner died now it's cash in the hallway cassman is the Yankees yeah and I'm fine with that I mean yeah the guys rebuilt the team without losing it and spend a lot of money on yeah when he did it and yeah I mean I it's fair to criticize things guys was done is made a million mistakes that may never have talked about a lot over the years but I still think is the best guy for the job it's an I wanted for a long time it's just it goes back and we talked about this last week if somebody was defending a jet executive by ripping the giants you table what the hell does that have to do with this I'm looking about Joe Douglas I'm talking about him I'm not talking about how it relates to the giants it's the same thing I think Brian Cashman's a tremendous general manager but I think he's also been to general managers he's got the first tenure which started in nineteen ninety eight in which I don't think we really have a map much credit for the ninety eighteen of ninety nineteen inherited that you know you've worked in the IT organization but he certainly wasn't the architect of those championship teams in a lawsuit they did summer got credit for absolutely and the bed to signing trade whatever no doubt I was alone Stamberg absolutely I kinda look at Cashman as the guy from the restructuring on and that's the one I view is one of the best GM's because what he was able to pull off we forget how lousy talent wise the Yankees were in twelve and thirteen and forty one and a good look at the roster if you need to remind yourself look at it and he managed to remain competitive while finding the future New York Yankees Gary Sanchez Ouran judge obviously making the keen trade for Gleyber Torres signing internationally a kid like Miguel Andujar who should've won the rookie there a couple years ago they were able to restructure the team is the thing I'm most impressed about with Brian if you restructure the team while they're waiting for him to talk about winning over five hundred and there was a split with the eggs for a while between New York and Tampa and eventually he won that power struggle he had no heat to me I evaluate him from then because yeah we know that it's all on him it's not a split between cab came in the gene Michael's of that of that time now every decision goes to bring cash right and you know what I like about him I think this is a sign of a good leader you know what makes a good leader that a great leader can't wait to give credit to somebody underneath any day that's a great leader he was doing that and when we interviewed him thought about all the guys under him that found you know you write a lemay you he's a guy and I kind of admire this is so confident himself he's basically reminding you yeah I decided to eliminate I took advice now as the leader he makes the final call but he was kind of the guy against it said yeah I said let's go and we know what that's turned into I mean can you imagine if the egg isn't signed yet Lowry over DJ will make you because those are two similar free agents last year when they were both out there so look Cashman is a tough guy to break down because he's been around for so long and so you want me to make a list of bad Brian Kasper moos we could do it all that is a lot of we can make a list of it can you talk about the U. if we talk about this to the fact that the eggs are really not done a great job developing pitches absolutely they have not in the first round pick some pictures right into Brackman right there guys right so they're used to crush casting about it we have but overall you have to look at the job at hand and the job at hand overall has been pretty good now I get Bernie for JJ for really hanky fan they got one championship we know that that's the bar the achy sad given this year despite all these injuries in February and March they better win the World Series right right and there could also be years like last year where the team is in place and they don't when it's not the Jim's fault it's the players for the players and perform molesters team was good enough to win a World Series they didn't that's on Brian Cashman that's on the roster I don't performing at the right time which had happened guys didn't hit in big moments during that ALCS against the Houston Astros but I just warn you know it's easy to do in this town we have multiple teams no fan base once the healthier now about the other team for a reason you're doing a good job I don't want to hear about the Knicks have someone's talking about the goodness or badness of Shaun marsh and no Yankee fan wants the judge Brian Castro against the Mets with all due respect I lost the match it's not the Yankees that's not the way to describe it as being a great shift well it's better than us well Gee Gee golly that's a surprise really that's not the bar AT Yankee fan is setting but in gonna Roberts were coming back this is tiki barber with a radio dot com sports minute sponsored by napa auto parts with quality parts and know how of napa auto parts and auto care centers help keep your car on the road the term tweener used to have a negative connotation in NFL draft circles it was used mostly to refer.

"Well the hive invade Philadelphia think about it you might have we don't know how many games you have to say goodbye could be all for this is a mild high ankle sprain could it be you know just the Philadelphia game and then at least two weeks the the home game against the dolphins and what do you do against Washington and then obviously you finish up the season against the eagles even I can get out of his washing what if he loses the eagles in wins goals to definitely take you either take John's race all I deserve a speed you get right to the red skins laptop that's nice let's go to the phones one this is a tough a tough one they should they should be a very good day yeah we're conflicted here eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six but anything bad free life he deserves his fare well but if it's going to cost you Tracy hung well that's no good Alex a Manhattan is up first on this room Wednesday Hey Alex how you doing guys thank you for taking my call hopefully with this great news that I got a family is leaving the station with the call back to regular programming got to get more hours because you guys bring a breath of fresh air and what you gave me that they were all through with delight await nothing they're not even in the back of my mind payday he gonna perform you don't have the pieces around but we're going to lose the traffic if your I'm really upset that the kids sitting down it's fake news that he had IDC and living in the game big news they hold on Alex they they mention that on the broadcast you saw it was whoa whoa who who fell on his ankle but but but to Alex's point though if this was a meaningful game a game where they had opportunity he would fight through it so and in that regard your I believe that they just want to kind of give the kid a break okay well think about how the giants have handled some injuries this year they don't really seem like they've been all that in se Kwan Barkley I think we can all agree came back a little bit too early I mean should sterling Shepard even the playing football after getting two concussions in a short amount of time I mean that's that's the question we should all be asking ourselves Golden takes okay so that's no that Alex and he doesn't have the pieces around them so you know how is he like it in these games he is going to have everything back it looks like editing room is going to be back so you're gonna have shepherd here and have anger se Kwan Barkley lived very good last week and they will play golden Tate looks like he's going to they will play for E. lie Manny but the play for John no no no no is different is that right is right wing Dion was finally gonna retire for the second time he's with us you make a rally cry because at some point every guy and a lack role is going to be a veteran on his way out and it is tradition for when you have a somebody is going to leave that meant a lot to you the mentor last organization you laid on a lie that's what you rally around the fact that he lied deserve to go out a winner and if you are going to play he's going to give you some Jews because guys are gonna be Dappy lie up and everybody appreciates that he wasn't a distraction during this time he had really like only eat I could handle it because anybody else with the same give me out of here if you still believe that you can play he wasn't distracting he blended itself into the background and they will play meaningful football and they will play their **** off the lot dangerous because chase on his right there kneels in Rockland Neil what do you think well I think that most of the fans so that yeah I particularly I'm obsessed with them they they don't really care I mean they want chase young I think they'd rather see you you live rip off like four straight wins right off of the sunset well I think it's because of them and they're on healthy obsession of not wanting to let him go after he got bench is what put this team in this situation I think but the vision for you guys and said for years that we've made basically because we want your there and rebuild the same time and that stock now you those same then going after John Vereker doing basically what they wanted him to do that if you live there and build around a rebuilt at the same time so if you I starting I mean I don't mind it but then again doesn't talk to dock also did get any gonna stand up whatsoever so I mean you I mean any dental Jones in a row the flag we need to put it back in forget about starting your man for the rest of our games if he's healthy yeah you know until you make some good points there and I do think they will go back to Jones when he's healthy and I think maybe you can feel both ways right you can feel good about Eli maybe getting on a farewell as long as doesn't cost you any drafted pull anything in in your draft order but he's very right about just yes Barton Eli manning handled this benching very well yeah he also did a lot of options yeah so it was either take the high road or take your ball and go home it could diminish radio or just be alot all right Lisa yeah about check is allowed to walk well and also I don't know if he had how many people were knocking down the door seeing if you lie manning was available but it is true that the decisions that the organization has made miscalculating how much you I have left in the tank have no doubt him strong this organization to where you are now it's one of the biggest criticisms of Dave government it's a fair one how could you go into the season saying you I had a lot left it at the same time decide to bench him after two games you know it's it's right up there with the how could you sign delta the biggest contract ever said in sun to trade up and then go ahead and trade him less than a year later it's all those things we can point to what they'd get all men were we wonder what the hell's the plan but today is about Eli manning and whether or not he is this is a good thing that he's going to be coming back Joe's in Middletown New Jersey Joseph Hey good afternoon tea above you thank you so I just want to say you know look I'm hopeful ball fan I'm not a Die Hard giant semi dye her just and I just love the game of football I gotta tell you everybody should enjoy this you got absolutely nothing this year now all of a sudden you get in a little a little something to maybe get your eyes on the TV but as far as giants and jets and the concern you my should be on spring training I'm sorry Joe you're not going anywhere I'm laughing because well as you're saying that there's nothing to watch and that this is the best thing our producer Shaun marsh it is it did some kind of a bad smell just come through then you're afraid we have nothing to watch you have a first round franchise quarterback getting better every week that is what you're watching you I mean it doesn't give you anything extra watch Monday other than more aggravation of him sucking in Philadelphia that's what he gives you the idea that it all now you've seen the watches no point from the TV don't be there during the good times with Jones if you can't be there now he's a disgrace is a fan that got money like I I guess I'm a fraud because I agree with you you are excited to hear about it listen I'm I've I would watch the game anyway and I would have looked forward to seeing what the engines can do finally now from when the football moving on playing his rival I completely I completely agree but to me this season is been so long and dead and Jones has if you'd have told me the beginning of the year Jones played ten games and we got a good look at him I'm fine with ten games that's enough for me right I've seen I've we we feel positive about I'm I'm ready to start next year with them I don't think there's a single question on who the quarterback is next year if we think we found something so for me the story of you lies redemption coming off an injury thought switching him for no reason yeah kids got a high ankle sprain it's legit reason to play on the bench for me the the intrigue of watching you I go at it one more time can you come off the bench and play well it doesn't make for a better you know moving forward but I'm sorry I think most generic you know football fans in giant fans who have lived and died at the scene seen them lose week in and week out this story is more intriguing now to watch Monday night then if your dinner jobs going out just what I feel but and I get that but it could end up having to hire rats occasion that's a different conversation I'm just talking about the actual injury to watch Monday night what is more of an interesting story Eli's return or the eleven start of Daniel Jones I don't think it's even close with more intriguing well I think I'd be curious because I want to see like I was very intrigued by Daniel Jones and the fact that he really you know was able to hang on to the football last week bad conditions in the snow we whether it's crappy out and he played very well X. for those interceptions which were really bad so I'm wondering how can he will come next week because that here's the other thing guys and this is another one this has ramifications on the coach you will have heard Tatian mera walls tish really say they haven't made any decisions when we think it's a foregone conclusion that Pat Shurmur will be fired maybe Pat think so but we don't know if that's necessarily true they could end up if Daniel Jones have look better and better and better through the last four weeks of the season then maybe Schirmer hangs on to the job if you lie now plays for four weeks how the hell do you evaluate Schirmer at this point I think that's very let me ask you a question I walked into the office to the meeting you look to me would you say we have our lead I do think that the beat reporters a more excited that you I manning is what do you think that the world although longing for the story of another Daniel Jones stock I'm just saying the actual intrigue what makes what makes now everyone's going to turn in Monday night lets you know if he was any if the broadcasting was any good you might hear what they had to say but I just I don't I think that you like coming back is a bigger story and it makes the game a little bit more interesting I I put on Twitter week three was all finally Daniel Jones something to watch and we fourteen it's like oh wow you I many something to watch yeah I think that even though it's a fun story for us for giants fans.

Up For this intro. So I'm going to be doing a solo however I'm GonNa keep it short and sweet and the the reason I'm going to do that is because we don't have a guest this episode We had a lot of people reach out to us on instagram twitter. Whatever saying you know we love the interviews we love? I guess you know you guys have amazing guests but we do. We want to know more about you so you know we decided we would do one episode where we just pretty much interview. One another I think this is actually our longest episode yet. But we really just talk for about an hour and a half about our lives and our upbringings at our careers career and you know I think that that kind of speaks for itself so you know no sense and doing a super long intro But you know here for a couple of life life updates dates first things first. My birthday was yesterday Actually by the time this episode comes out in two days ago so December. Second thank you. Yes yes you guys can say if you want turn twenty six bittersweet feeling definitely feel like I'm getting old but at the same time You know excited about how the first twenty-six God and you know hopefully the the next go go better or just as good if not better But you know that's that's been good A Miami Right now actually for Art Basel which for those of you don't know it's a It's a week long sort like art festival. That happens in Miami every year But it's like if they take over the entire city so it's not just like one festival. It's like a bunch of different little ones and galleries as an artists come from all over the world. And they're a bunch of parties and brand activation and She's a really really cool. Time to be in Miami One of our clients is doing a really cool activation. So that's what brings me and my team down here so I'm down here for the week working from here and then I'm GONNA be back to La On Saturday so I've been traveling quite a bit. I was in. A little bit but But now all is well Turning what other life updates. We have I had a there was a forbes article article that came out about Cutting so my my company Thing is about two weeks ago but That was incredible for us. We we work. You know we've worked tirelessly asleep bill this this company and It's it's it's a funny thing being marketing agency because you your job is to market other people and other companies and often times when you do that so much it can be hard to forget. It's hard to remember to market yourself because we spent so much time helping other people build their brands. So so for that reason you know article talking about us and what we do was was huge and Shout out to Chris Chris Dodd's and who Who wrote that piece incredible you made us? You may sound way cooler than we actually are and for that'll be forever grateful But that was. That was a big moment. I as a kid I like Mike will not maybe not as a kid but as a young adult who is very interested in the business world being in Forbes always a huge goal of mine And so so to see you know our company there Was Pretty Special. I Remember Myself Shaun. Marsh on a Devon started in Shawn's apartment it you know damn near two years ago and to so to see our picture and our name on Forbes met Mental Lot But anyway enough about about that when we talk about all this In that episode. So I'M NOT GONNA. I'm not even going to really do a heart to heart this episode because the whole episodes just just full of Josh nine asking each other.

"And welcome to its cricket show my name name is hamid and i'm here with very latest episode of this podcast of very special episode indeed a very special week in the cricketing tournament and we are at a juncture bahati with mortar today <hes> gives semifinals hamad sarah and i am here with leaguers who are in very special of the one of a couple of them we have had during the previews and one is a regular guest so i welcome mike and great to be back on your show. <hes> it's looking forward to this one haggling take-back and especially given that in the last provincial for the i._p._o. Itself you're talking of the cup so we'll be back. Yes and welcome to our radio and mr shake so i first of all. How are you looking at this world. Cup right dominating of we have four teams in the world cup. That's just what are your views right now. As a star before the starting of the work of this at this four games raucously <hes> in our list of making the semi-finals afoot of jesus news it's surprise for me may not be does the race for me. Give endured in start off south africa so yeah. It's been a good mental competition for the foot position aziz looking for all right great so <hes> let's start with this episode of of it's sort of previews so listeners curry's what we are planning on today's episode first of all jewelry proving the four teams. It's a kind of a dive heart kind of preview and we'll be talking about eastern individually and then we'll be moving on to first time ever to some listener questions. Yes you heard it right. You all have sent me a list of questions in which are pretty interesting and some of the interesting ones we have chosen to answer <hes> on this episode and were what what more can you ask for when we have special guests like take meyer who can answer the city of l. so now. Let's start with a preview of aditya and my first of first of all australia so australia australia. If <hes> <hes> today is <hes> seventh of july that we are recording this podcast and yesterday we saw on six july a match between australia and <hes> south africa richer kind of did not go australia's wait. So what do you think about australia as a team and what do you think is working and not working <hes>. Let's let's start off with the addictive high so australia began this tournament as a flawed side so none of us expected them to do as well as they've been so kudos to them for that so when they began they had a lot of things they could very well have lost games to pakistan and the indies and they obviously obviously they were comprehensively beaten by india's today at bowling heads chinks in nathan coulter nile and marcus aurelius and adams empires and event and towards the lighter after tournament actually extent so they are land back and bettendorf was doing well but now it seems like they're hit another roadblock with <hes> kreiger distant and him being replaced by material who do not highly and then also have <hes> strenuous who seems seems to be dodgy for the next game so australia going into the semi's is asked strong as we thought there last week when they beat england so so i thinking lynnwood licking their lips is baton hand school to come had come in for some someone's backup yet. Pita hence come is in for <hes> shaun marsh and i think he's straight away for quite geno but guess blindness as an agency material being a a huge threat to any side will be ready on. So what do you think will be in there for the fever in this. I think that's i think stark or bisley veasley and the even the kind of <hes> vika taking threat that is posed a stark is a huge threat and and again lake very much like india they have heavy batting lineup so if they click warner has been i would say not ordinary of oil but still still fared reasonably okay so smith is due for the big ones. I think these are the threats apart from that australia. Still we'll have a lot of things yeah. What about you. What do you think is working and not working for australia going into this. I think one thing that makes australia. Really dangerous is unlike many other teams. They have actually been able to kind of cover. Their eh negatives for example like eddie mentioned <hes> marcus china's main really should not have been playing this world cup. I mean in spite of inspite of some <hes> negatives surrounding around the lower middle order only all-rounder position. They have still managed to finish second on the table. <hes> i think i think that makes them dangerous site itself because you have a team pitches probably not playing to their full potential and still managing to go up dead. I mean england should be <hes> very cautious embiid approach <hes> they're not going to. They're not going to get rolled over so so <hes> in fact i've been quadra getting out could be a blessing in disguise <hes> in in a certain way because peter hands come has a hide some really great run before coming into the world cup. I mean honestly. I was surprised why he was not in the scored in the first place. What did you think your hands will have not notice moments of the big stage. That's possible yes. I mean that's anyone new coming in. That's possible but then again you know <hes> that will say a lot about his character for example you saw in india's case scale rahul being sent up as opener and he did really well. <hes> did not let us miss she the one that much and also from going back to australia. I would have liked to see michelle march march <hes> <hes> he he can bat right and bowl and i think he's been starring it so <hes> i mean once the engineers were coming out. I was thinking that you know someone we get michelle. March back in he's not yet but <hes> i would say that ustralia highly and <hes> england was inward is going to be very combative game. If i may add for just anybody fuhrman i think i i agree with you on this. They still have that aura of saieed which can go through and win but doc compared to the sides of the past where comp- history they are much weaker at in that sense that but they still have the aura that they can go in the wake up because they have have done it so many times in the past two two two so side. I would like to ask you one question. Which is what do you how important the part booting dos will play into this match because we have seen <hes> i i sort of am under prediction that warner oven. He's batting second inventors of pressure uh of cheese on him and then australia and also the pitches are running slow <hes> along with aaron finch to dan to crumble sometimes under that that pressure so how important do you think dawson will play a part in this plan for a partner very good in all those images immigrants. It says that was all those gates are used digits and a job green grass also under makes each after thirty overs. It's been install it starts to up <hes> it's very slow so where what it starts bending <unk> inventing foot us oh i if as we saw a study in the south affi grass for dementia you get a brisk stuff you have to make full use off executive position as which part of the star of the <hes> event if if if you vindicates you will have a if you like the chase because they will be some seem and movement and balancing the age at the start of mcdonald's company different issues which has been a bad vices so yeah dawson girls will make a huge impact in this matching eighteen specially this metro bombing very soy india <hes> struggle a lot at the at the end. I could just do launch after thirty overs when they hit us has no start to through through so one last thing about <hes> australia michael. I'll come back to you. Do you have any any predictions which you can think of or is it like the way it looks like well. I mean <hes> at the expense of <hes> taking some excitement away. I i mean i think <hes> the team that wins ause going to bat and win the match <hes> i think <hes> the thing is going to as hell correctly pointed out. You know it's going to happen happened in edgbaston. <hes> you have a sharp boundary when one side <hes> and you'll have been nervousness of the world cup chasing so team but you bet i can you know even if the school ended in twenty to be very hard for the other input as a down and we have seen we have seen <hes> ward australia and in england falter at changes in this particular world cup so it won't be surprising for me that an all women's dos batch. I it's up. Let's say three. He ended up in three hundred twenty and wins. The game <unk> fans all right. Yes i in fact. I totally agreed this conundrum and <hes> especially specifically <hes> just a aside from this <hes> reviews <hes>. What do you think that a lot of things. A lot of stress has been put upon toss wherein <hes> lots of things thinks things depend upon which teams in the dos and that shouldn't be the case for me. But what do you say i did do i. I agree like <hes> in the fullest. I at least in the league stages that was because lost a lot of the victims are used to it's like it's like <hes> if you have a five day third day for dacre and attachments that is what happens if you have the same could being used over a period of weeks but i think for the same semifinals i think you'll have rush weeks in all these venues so who says you have these startling covered on the right in all of the last few games in or referenda in birmingham and lords when you left advocates for the knockouts so things might be slightly better for batting than they were in the league stages but then again there is more pressure of bet off chasing in the knockouts so that will be a huge emphasis on the toss as all of you think yeah so now <hes> so now let's move onto the next team in our <hes> today's lineup which is england fee note that england can be quite dangerous. Venoy in order to england have had a good run for last four years under the leadership of <hes> are on margaret but today have <hes> the caliber to reach the semi's and reached the finals. Go all the way in the absence of roy that will be the major factor that what i yeah i think of blame to this because we have seen in the past that whenever there is no roy and that they do not do not get that good start on they tend to falter alter and then a couple of kids here and they're a big d- betting line of debt stitcher tends to look look like some ordinary batting now. Let me me a go straight to sahel and ask him. What do you think about <hes> england..

"Aid scripted show. My name is hamid an i'm here with the leaders of this podcast after getting a couple of days. I am back with another of this show. Oh so what's going on with the world cup was going on is pakistan odd. The latest victim of they woke up. They are out of the top four the which means we have the final four decided now owned order is not yet decided before the daca about well first of all if you are hearing any background noise then it's my daughter who is sort of making noise and who is not allowing me to do this this but anyway. Let's continue with this. First of all about the match between pakistan was bangaladeshi. Now coming into this man pakistan had lots of mathematical possibilities civilities in actuality it was sort of next to impossible because they had scored some errant three fifty and then get out today for thirty nine runs scored four hundred hundred gabonese hard for eighty nine dollars scored four hundred and fifty and get bangladesh four hundred and dan ordonez. I was looking difficult occurred and the way pakistan started made it all the way more difficult looking all the way more difficult because ballot in pakistan. Excuse me started with someone. I was completely out of touch and scored thirteen of twenty one deliveries for god's sake that is the way you score when you when you want to go four hundred come on soccer then imam mahmoud hook managed run a ball which was quite quite a mile actually because we are known he's known to school less than that so he's scored essentially judy off hundred balls and gortat wicket in vide- bizarre mena you just damned on his stumps so bob azzam was looking promising but he <hes> banished at ninety six of ninety deliveries mohammad hafeez scored twenty seven or twenty five duly batsman who looked with the eagerness and who who had something in his mind who looked to attack the bowlers was imad was seen who scored forty require for the off brand six and thanks to him pakistan managed to school about three three hundred fifteen runs on with respect to before going to bangladesh innings with respect to bangladesh bowling five-wicket haul was managed by mostofi zoo camman. This was a very rare occasion of wherein too five wickets whole were taken in a single match one by mr visa and the other by shine shafi ability. We will get to that in a bit about most of his stuff is managed to <hes> initially he was all heavier and he was his line and length were not accurate but then he managed to get out get the batsman out because the batsman managing to hit him pretty well and <hes> he manages in that process to get his name on that allied to list you mohawk one and was stuff is raymond is the other indian as i said pakistan managed to get three hundred and fifteen runs news after which pakistan had to if they had to qualify for semi finals they had to get mileage <unk> out for just eight runs which is ludicrous bondage. She's not some molly women's team to get out for eight runs so oh <hes> bangladesh came out to bat and with all guns blazing of course apart from tommy meatball who was another opener who is out of form who sort of out of form tom he scored eight runs or twenty one deliveries shueisha god scored twenty two runs. The man inform scored sixty four years. I'm talking about shock. You bill hudson listen. He's scored good sixty four and yet another half century for him. Now talking about the other batsman it was <hes> lytton does us and the most frequently he managed here and there but then they were bundled out for twenty one thanks to six-wicket sticking by shine shah afridi in nine point ores giving away just thirty five rinse this was by far his best figures and he looks to be a promising prospect for pakistan. One might wonder why he was not deacon in the first couple of i two to three matches wherein he was not deacon then <hes> edibles preferred hassanali especially was preferred over would him which means that pakistan wins this match by ninety four well short of that about three hundred <hes> than's that pakistan needed needed to qualify for the semi finals now this is this is a trend which is going on within the team bedding. I are winning in this world cup because is off bitches deteriorating so much that during the second innings that it gets very difficult for batsmen too bad on such bitches so <hes> bangaladeshi pakistan took advantage of this after winning the toss mind you before the start of this man if pakistan would have lost does maladies would have decided to bat first they were out before even played out of semi's now a moving aside from the fact about pakistan semi's and all the discussion around it mood for the world cup table and let's see how it is looking pakistan now on fifth position with the net-run-rate minus zero point four three on eleven points new zealand clinches on that position and the us secure on that foot position with eleven points england odd secured undeterred position so forth and third position have been decided what is left to decide is the first and second position d'amato australia. Please south africa while india please sri lanka you obviously australia and india we are expecting that they will rest some players while shooter and south africa might give <hes> a drive to other players as well so we might get to see some unseen players allow especially <hes> especially you know australia might give it right to peterhansel who who has come in for the injured shaun. Marsh and also india might give a try to <hes> monger while who has come in <hes> in place off. If <hes> i think injured you're injured jay shankar so it will be interesting to see how to model india as well as australia. Please teams estrellas south africa. Angela karlovi have seen most of their players play until now so yeah. It's looking quite interesting. <hes> see also we have one episode planned with the fourth the seat podcast guys on quite amazing though episode will should be out most probably by monday and it will be basically view of how so we are expecting to see the four semi-finalists. What will be this trends. What will be the weaknesses. Some predictions may be hidden there lots to watch out for do check out for that episode it as well so building this week before i see my final lines. "It'd be this year. But you have to like what they've done with their offensive line. They make the trade for Kevin Zeiler. And then the other day they signed Mike remers the former Viking the former panther presumably to be their starting right tackle as opposed to chat Wheeler who how good a shadow Wheeler. So now, you've got to veterans in Zeitler and remers on the right side. You've got solar at left tackle. He was certainly a lot better for the year. And you've got wilderness as it left guard who now in after his first full year, you think he's going to get better. And we'll see about Hala peel if he's healthy. So the giant offensive line which has been awful for what feels like forever. Basically feels as if this offense of line has been hot garbage since twenty eleven since their last Super Bowl that is one area of optimism. You probably should have jiving the year. Look, they should have a pretty decent offense. I mean, really I I don't know what the defense is going to be we'll see. But I think they should have a pretty decent offensive team. Because even without Beckham at the end of the year last year, there was still scoring points. And I said there's less at the end of last season. They scored more points than any team in the vision. They say today they did. Absolutely. I think every Ingram taken a big step is going to be a question. Sterling shepard. More number one receiver. Golden Tate was obvious. Good. Love the rest of their receivers. Call. Receivers. He's right. He will he'll be part of the mix. Sure. It'll be football a lot, right? But it all starts with good play from your offensive line down. It certainly feels with the veteran editions at another year for wilderness under his belt that the giants should have a good offense in line should be pretty good. They should have their best offensive line time. Maybe since these super Super Bowl they won. Well, it's been terrible sense. Yeah. So it should be remembers a good acquisition a million and a half. They moved them to guard last year, but the giants at right tackle. And it's certainly an upgrading over Chad Wheeler so good move by the giants. Let's go to Richard in port. Jefferson, richard. Our you. Thanks for taking my girl. I'm the one that play for sudden. Oh, yeah. Okay. I basically think that everything is going to come down to the draft. What the next door with free agent 'cause I want the rant. But I don't want her at all. I don't like them. I would get and we should still wanted to come with him. I tried to get a guy like Klay. I think they needed to God more number one. Number two. My biggest disappointment. And the Knicks is the right? They gave to Mitchell odyssey. Mitchell Robinson is something that they didn't develop they restricted him. Okay. Two years ago. He shot hundred thirty seven threes in thirty five games. Percentage twenty eight percent. But with the Knicks he took no outside chats. He never got the ball down low. They never gave him. His first year two kids who just rookie. Let's relax kid. I wouldn't get nuts with that. I mean, the fact that he played as many minutes as he did. And he showed the incredible versatility. He has to basically defend anybody. Whether it's on the the pain. I think that's a great first step. He's still very young. He didn't play in college. So I think everything that Richards describing is excited, and it's great. Let's not very happy with his rookie year. Let's let's relax with us. And here's the bottom line with Kyrie Irving. Okay. And it's the same boat. I'm in the same boat. You're in it doesn't matter if you want them or not it's all about Kevin Durant. That's what it's about worse. If Kevin Durant is gonna pull the LeBron where he says, look, I don't really care. I'm coming to the next because I wanna be a New York, whatever that's my number one priority in greed, you can build your own team around. Kevin garnett. Kevin Durant, right? If Kevin Durant is dictating to you. I will sign with you. If then I hate to tell you. But you're gonna do it. That's what they're gonna do. No, you're right. And I hate to tell you this. But you know, it's true deep down if Kevin Durant tells you I am coming to you. But I don't wanna play with a teenager. And you're going to take the number one over traded. Fortunately, you do. I guess I guess you're right. I'm not saying you're wrong. I, you know, I don't want that to happen. But I do understand the ask you that. You think I want to get rid of the Angela? But I will if Durant. Home that if the rant does they get Williamson at the ranch doesn't say, okay, let's trade them. Now. I don't know. Maybe he likes them. I don't know. It's not about liking disliking. It's about what gives you better chance to win. Well, and knows how much better Williamson my turn out to be. He's playing with them turn out is different than what you are now and don't be happy. If they do that. I'll tell you. I won't be someone called me. They won't do it. But just I won't be happy about it. Someone asked me. What would I do? And I'm with you, bro. I don't want to raise train for Anthony Davis. A problem is if Kevin Durant says this is what I need to come here. What are you gonna do? You gonna tell them to take a? What do you do the same thing with Mirant if they wind up with the second pick? I don't know. Maybe maybe. Yeah. Probably what do you do? You're gonna tell. Kevin durant? No, thanks. So all you're gonna talk believable. How these guys dictate what you're going to free agent. Understand. What would you tell him? Take a walk. Have. Would you tell them that you could say, yes? I'm not thrilled about it. I'm not thrilled about what would you? Do you play basketball? This is what we're going to do. Okay. So you take a walk. I probably wouldn't. Okay. That for you. I probably would. I look if you want to call me, we're running the team, okay? With paying you max max contract to come here. We want this kid on the team. He's going to be on the team. You can't play with him. Then you know, maybe you should go somewhere else. I got an air. We'll do that. They're going to they're going to bow down to him. Of course. Of course. They are. I get that. But you know, listen, I I feel the same way. Now. I don't know what the ngelo Russell is going to be. I don't want to get rid of them. But the I think about it if Kevin Durant was in a room with me, I'm Shaun Marsh. And he says, I'll come the Brooklyn. But Kyrie's coming with me. That means Russell's got it would suck. That'd be sweet. But I'd probably have to pull the trigger. And I think that's why a lot of knick fans, I want to say all of them. But I think that's what they would do. It would be risky where I'll tell you. It would hurt. It would just to me just would for me. Anyway, just compounds the pressure on Durant that you'd better win and you'd better win soon. No question you better win, and you better win it soon. Well, let me championship. I'm not talking about the third round even conference finals. You bet a win. And you better win soon dictate who's on the team who's not know the pressure will only build you built what gives you a better chance to. Win an NBA championship in the three year window. Kevin durant? Durant Durant and Zion or Durant? Anthony Davis in a three year window of now. The only thing I will say that. Okay. Obviously on paper. It's davis. Yes. It is Davis it. But I don't know. I don't know how good this kid you what if this kid comes into the league and he's phenomenal. We've seen Kobe Bryant and we've seen LeBron. And I'm not saying he's suggesting easy to wanted these guys. But we have seen them come into the NBA and be terrific immediately. Right. Kobe. Bryant wasn't Kobe Bryant. I I understand. He was coming out of high time. I get I get it. I understand we Kobe Bryant his rookie. Fifteen minutes night wasn't Kobe Bryant until year four five. So I think that just backs up the point even more than even if you become a superstar. I'm not telling you, you should do it by on just presenting the well, I again, I will go back to my original thought process. Okay. They're going to get the fifth tickets not going to matter. Right. Wind up not getting one or two, and he's and it won't matter. Durant won't have to make that decision. We're engaging in what could be offensive today right out. If they not mean, anything, right. But I'll tell you if you win the lottery, get ready for a month and a half that. No, no, no, no. I I understand. And I repeat this because I I am very similar to you. Even though we root for different teams. I would be scared Bank. Lists of trade that absolutely absolutely. I have no idea what this guy is going to be. But again, it would be for a quick fix, but that quick fix now. It's a little different than the old days. That's a quick fix that. You bet and win the title, man. The one positive though is the quick fixes twenty-five. Yeah. He's that. He's not Davis is not thirty tutti. No. He's on trade for LeBron. No, no, no, no, not not doing that. Even no, I don't watch it. No. Let's go to Mike and Plainfield, Mike. Our you what's up? Hey, guys got high Mike. Hey quick way. I've never been to either building. What's what's worse? Call him for hockey or field for baseball. Team is tremendous. It's great place. How seems awesome. It's an awesome party. Not a need cool, quote, unquote, a NHL building right that that's what I met as far as the atmosphere in the atmosphere is fabulous. Look. Here's the thing that the Coliseum doesn't have over Tropicana field that this is really a factor. If I'm hungry, and I wanna go get food. It's easier to go to the concession stand at Tropicana than it is at Nassau Coliseum. But you know, what concessions are overrated? I'm not going there to eat. I'm going there to watch. It has. No, there's no antiseptic field whatsoever to Nassau call for and I don't think no not at all John Middletown. John. How are you? Joe evan. So man. Thank you taking the call anytime. They Joe, yes. I just wanted to know what you thought of them letting John Daly use the car. Yeah. You know, first of all let me say a couple of things number one. You're not United supposed to have caught on page period for anybody on the public can't even use. Right. So why why should daily be allowed to use a caught? I mean, I think it's going to help him. He's not gonna win..

"Number three Mervyn. Fred. Juror with us. Let's get a check in in a little while. Soon as he can break away from all those interviews and press conferences. The NBA all star weekend from for now in Chicago. Me and you Fred at a dog named boo. And the Blackhawks game tonight. Timeline than the blue jackets are FOX of one what eight of nine seven of eight or whatever it was if nine dieted the play very very well. So they are at home against Columbus later on tonight. So see at least there's that entered the alliance of American football afternoon game evening game to war games tomorrow. So there's always something to watch and the fire are playing what are their spring training games down in Charlotte? And that's going to be streamed at four o'clock. I'm watching that one to go and cover it. He should he should over Blackhawks. Patrick Kane has now scarred. Scored in sixteen straight games is pretty good. Patrick Kane goal or assist, right? Correct. Yeah. Point scrape points, right? Listen is Patrick Kane is according to sometimes Blackhawks guy, John Liser, L I E S A R hope I pronounce it correctly. John. Okay. Patrick kane. Extended the NFL's longest active point streak to sixteen games. Thursday sniping goal. What are the great phrases in sports? Sniping a goal with two minutes left in the first period. There's a great shot during this run. Kane Kanner has twelve goals twenty three assists, eighty-five points. Second in the league to lightning the Keita cruiser off. But here listening to this Cain, also broke stand. Nikitas franchise record the other day of fourteen games in a row, fourteen straight games with an assist. Setback in nineteen sixty seven on the tapes goal. Yep. Let me you something. We're diverting. We had him on last week. Yeah. Love you, Bob. And you're probably lists. I meant we ran out of time. I wanted to ask Bob verdict because I was at the Hawk's game when they started the eight hundred nine wind street three Sundays ago. I believe was the matinee game and thirty on a Sunday afternoon. They beat the caps. Eight to five everybody was scoring. And I was there with two great buddies of mine. Big Blackhawk fans, Dave focus from a lion's township high school LaGrange and Mike Hellstrom also from the same Lyons township LaGrange and Dave's Ben watching hockey like me since we were kids, and I said that Dave. Patrick Dave knows more about Blackhawks hockey, then I know in my little finger. So I looked at my said, Dave. Patrick kane. I think he's gonna I think he's as good as STAN Makita. I was going to punch me crazy. And now here he he broke STAN mikita Sanchis record streak of fourteen games now with sixteen. I know that's apples and oranges. But. I watched STAN. Yup. And you watch Stander he played twenty years nineteen twenty twenty one. But that was number. But whatever, and I didn't say better, right? Dave is better. But as good I thought he was gonna launch me over the balcony. But I'm so sorry Bob Verdy last week. Makita compare. Yeah. You know, who's better than? Yeah. I wouldn't do that. Maybe well Boban during the during the playoffs. We'll come. He'll come back. Right. Yup. The guy they got they fell a point back. I think last night because of Minnesota. Yeah. Let's refresh. Our a Twitter poll questions here and. White Sox fans we'll bring Eric in in a moment. Here wanna hear the results were to sign both Manny Machado and starting pitcher Dallas kaikal they would win AL central or they're still a year away that ails central's not too hot. Number next. Also White Sox fans. Baseball fans in general has Manny Machado or many macho has his anti hustle past. You know in the past. I'm no. Right. Is it affecting offers from teams maybe some teams have not even we don't want anybody ever. And that's a simple. Yes. Or no. And final is cubs fans and voted is in one thousand everybody come vans. No money for heartburn. It appears right. Tom Ricketts is multiple choice by saying no money for Harper. Tom Reagan's is a smart all, but he's smart. Be his punishing THEO for the past free agent mistakes are see he's really punishing fans. All right. Okay. The reason I include that third one Fred just to remind and then I wanna talk with you. Just to remind everybody the first five years. Tom Ricketts owned the team twenty ten eleven twelve thirteen and two thousand fourteen at five years he finished fifth fifth fifth fifth fifth. All right. I went through a lot some fan. Stop watching. Sure. Some fans died Fairweather fans. You can be any kind of. Didn't make it through the fifth fifth place finish. Yes, they're gone. Yes. So five consecutive years. Tom rick. It's a finishing fifth. And now, there's no money your Jesse. You're just gesture the other day talking about that the cubs Jesse. What did you say you have the money? Don't forget that they all have the money. So if you're wasting a few dollars late in the contracts, so what get the next guy. That's you have to change your perspective because these owners having let's call it a lie yell at America's drastically disagree with him. Is you don't have to change your perspective? No, no. You say this is it. But it doesn't mean that. I can't be upset. Sure. There's not a Cup fans aren't bad. There's not many cub fans men out there. That's okay. I know I don't how I answered this question. I don't think I I don't think the majority right? You want to go on the Tom Ricketts one their number six is that the one you, okay? Cubs fans. There's no money for Harper. ABC's? Tom Ricketts is smart just frugal. B? He's punishing KO close. A salvage fear is going to be without the checkbook, no farm system. Right. I heard what's his name Jason McLeod earlier this week. The cubs director of scouting and player development about how their top prospects are all pitchers. Is. Well, you know, what we've done real well in the first round he's bad four. Good picks. Yeah. Yeah. I'm telling you this guy if you if someone ever asking how come to cubs only one one time like bears. It's very simple Phil brought in when he was signed to be general manager president. He brought in two guys jed Hoyer and Jason McLeod, director of scouting and development both for his bought from Boston days and jed was over at San Diego with. Hey, who do you Jason McLeod? If they don't win a second time, you can blame it exactly on Theo's keeping not hiring. But keeping McLeod in charge. People say Jerry Reinsdorf and Mike Ryan's Michael Reinsdorf there too loyal to gather Farman and Jan beds. Okay. Say the same thing here. Punishing the fans is he punishing hours, just smart and frugal, Fred you're voting. A no no owning be sponging video. He's punishing THEO for last year bringing in chat would Dr vision moral where at the end of the year ninety five wins, none of these three or helping you. So he said, you know, what the you spent your money last year? We're going to go down with what you run in last year. And we're going to go with that you're not getting any more money. If Jason McLeod in seven years six years had found one starting pitcher in the draft or international signing and developed them. They wouldn't have had. Because. Has was a great find, you know. Twenty two twenty twelve they drafted two pitchers in the later rounds are actually I route sandwich picture wherever you want to call them Pierce Johnson and Paul Blackburn Pierce Johnson actually pitching in the league reliever for the dodgers for the giants or somebody like that tapioca Blackbird. I haven't seen anywhere because you look at it. You know, more Brian Schwab Rahat, no pick in two thousand sixteen Brendan little left handed pitcher in seventeen Nico hoarder who is making a, you know, a lot of the top one hundred list at one hundred was picked last year. So well here was Jason McCoy Fred cubs director scouting player development. We appreciate them. I he came on with a camper earlier this week. We've got to do better outside of the first route. And and certainly some of our pitching that we did take after the first round of those first few years. Yeah. Haven't done as well as we had hoped. But when I look back at like later in the draft, especially from sixteen seventeen we're real excited about last year's draft. And some of the high school kids that were able to take after Nico horror and deeper war certainly more bullish than than probably the industry is right now. He's got guys more than everybody else. Does the worst in baseball. And if they don't get to the World Series again, much less win another world right there in blame that guy. Landslide for you know, you couldn't make this stuff up guys more than everybody else. Does if we had someone here that could do a fate voice of McLeod. And we went up to production there and said, here's a script invited they go or he would never say that we've got to do better outside of the first round. And and certainly some of our pitching that we did take after the first round in those first few years. Yeah. Haven't done as well as we had hoped. But when I look back at like later in the draft, especially from sixteen seventeen we're real excited about last year's draft. And some of the high school kids, we're able to take after Nico harder and deeper war, certainly more bullish than that. Probably the industry is right. Twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen or just like I love their last night. We're more bullish on her fixed. The industry is we had four good picks. The I it's only four picks. He's head in seven years that have made the big leagues the high first round picks from tanking. Yeah. Then after you're done tanking and you win the World Series. You realize it's tough to pick out further in the draft. Remember, you know, how THEO got all the players. He traded the treated Jim Hendry starting rotation. Remember Beverly Barron when he got a good traits. Don't get me wrong. He traded dumpster. He traded Garza. He traded Schwartzberg. Samardzija. Garza? He traded Dempster. He traded some Marga, and he traded Andrew cash ner for Rizzo trades, but don't say we don't have anything what we got here. And and the farm system had Harvey buyers and Willson Contreras who they often talk about how we develop them. But they make it sound in my opinion, little through omission. They never mentioned they weren't there. Guys. They they traded and Castro Shaun Marsh. I mean, everyone traded the pitcher to get area. Bring Arrietta in flip. Right. That was Feldman. Right. Picked up all the area, but Strope so move. Yeah. Strope who actually smart move stack? Strobe who is actually an infielder. When he first got into baseball realize, you know, what you can't hit. We like your arms so become a pitcher. So so let's bring a Neo eleven cubs fans. There's no money for Harper. Tom Ricketts after finishing fifth the first five years now punishing someone or is he just being frugal punishing punishing the fans are smart, smart, not to spend that money. Eric. Buddy on the bottom was seventeen percent saying that he's punishing THEO. Of course, thirty percent saying he's punishing the fans and fifty three percents, eight smart, but just frugal luxury tax. Son by fellas from Jeff passed in about three weeks ago and Jerko Zana's all the time too and everybody, but that luxury tax at the players agreed to in the last collective bargaining agreements. CBA if you will was is really legal collusion. In other words, the rules in. There you go all their luxury tax. You're gonna lose this. You're gonna lose that. So the owners can say. Hey, we're not collusion. We just want to avoid the luxury tax. Okay. Maybe for here. Here's Jeff passan and longtime baseball guy, and you break down a little bit a little bit of a misnomer..

Tom Ricketts Patrick Kane cubs Jason McLeod Jason McCoy Fred Blackhawks baseball Patrick Dave Harper Bob Verdy STAN Makita THEO Nico Eric director of scouting Manny Machado Columbus Charlotte John Liser
