"No So and and again these are criticisms of. You know what I mean I. Just I just noticed the way that people receive something like idiosyncrasy and they live versus. Way The people flat out rejected. They sure did man. You know one thing before we move onto another piece, you're bringing up the sole fullness of the movie and one thing that I think would be maybe my biggest criticism of the movie, and maybe we'll see what you have to say about this I. Feel like Richard Kelly believes in what he's making here a hundred percent, and maybe it's because of the weird casting choices getting a lot of Saturday night live people and a lot of action movie people but I feel like the actors don't know what the fuck. They're doing now surly. Totally saying that they're doing a bad job. Necessarily I just I don't know that they believe they're in an particularly interesting political satire or whatever I think that they're just like along for the ride in a way I think that it's actually. The exact opposite, but it's said Saturday night live, because it feeds into my next thing, which was Saturday night live. Okay, I'll go because so much of this cast is pulled from not just one era of many eras of Saturday night live. you got like Jon Lovitz and you've got Shero. Terry you've got a. what's her name? Nora Nora Dunn. You've got You know you have all these different and then you also have like the mad TV people you have will. Sasso is in this movie. Oh yeah, that's right what Richard Kelly I think kind of brilliantly did was most of these people a are television celebrities. And Be. They are people who starred in things that were Kinda tongue-in-cheek satire that were taken a sincere. People like Christopher Lambert. You know from highlander. He took these people. And he made a very sincere project. You know what I mean like and I think that these actors like share. Terry I think share. Your Terry's brilliant in the movie or Sean, William Scott who at that point was literally just known as stiffler. You know what I mean and the Rock who was? A wrestler at the time. This is before he was Dwayne. The Rock Johnson. Yeah, it's weird seeing them in this like you forget. Because now he's just like the biggest movie star in the world, basically and like he is still the wrestler of the Rock. In this right, we'll see what's beautiful to Richard Kelly, I actually got to so like one time I was in a video store. They still exist. Exist here in La and somebody was asking for recommendation, and I was just so happened to be standing next to southland tales and I just started going off on. Southland tells like get this movie blah, blah, like for like five minutes, then after like five minutes of me, just like on a soapbox about it. This other dude POPs his head from around the corner. You Timeout southland tales and I said. He's like I edited that movie. And I was like why you know so I. Immediately befriended him. He edited all three of Richard Kelly's films, and he said that originally the idea for southland tales which The original idea was it was like rollerbladers. Skateboarders who who were filming escape video and Accidentally witnessed assassination, a political assassination or something like that and we're gonNA. Use them blackmail the government or something, and that he watched the whole thing unfold and become what it was, and he's like I don't even know it is Richard Kelly. As a filmmaker, all three of his films are kind of linked I. don't really care for Donnie Darko. but I love Southland Tales and I love the box because I think it would. He so focused on is like the soul. You know what I mean the soul and how technology? Grants, access to the soul, and also pulls us away from the soul, and that that push and pull as what attracts him to stories And I think that when you're a comedian when you're Sharyo terrier when you're Dwayne, the Rock Johnson is known for. I mean these people are living their life in what they consider to be satire. You know what I mean, and it must be difficult for people to not see the meaning in what you do. like wrestling is another one of my favorite things in the world like I wrestling is like. Right behind jazz. The greatest art form that that America has given the world wrestling entertainment in I. Mean it's so wonderfully theatrical and in this era. Where like you know you've got like you know what everyone you know. Class sizes like Redneck outright white trash standing in a crowd of thousands, cheering on thin ballard, as he wiggled his package in front of you in his leather jacket. With as you know, it makes you stand up and push your hands in the air. You know what I mean like like Rupaul. Style and you've got thousands of white trash rednecks doing that with you I mean. How do you not see the artistry there? How do you not? You know what I mean like bringing it back to the accuracy right well, but. But but I mean to say that like these people people like what the Rock was doing I mean these are these are artists, sure and Southland Tales? I think what Richard Kelly was trying to do as he was trying to offer them. A platform where they could. Do what they do best, which is satire, which is the Atra Calorie? But he allowed them to inject it with sincerity and I think if any of them falls short. I think it's because they haven't been given that opportunity before, and so there's still a little green at it. You know what I mean at I actually think that Sean. William Scott to gives a an award worthy performance in this movie I think he he, he is so. Beautifully realized as both of his characters Donald and Ronald. Of Like. So I think that like. and Saturday night live in. You know it now. More than ever is known for how satirical it can be. You know what I mean it it it. It fancies itself as an intellectual property anymore but this was like before all of them I. Think the Richard. Kelly saw that namen. He wanted to do something new with them, and I think that he got it, you know..

The pro-jo says Representative Deborah sharia who as the houses small business committee chair is a member of Mattielo state house leadership team. Let me underscore that. Again. She's a member of his leadership team declared publicly that she will not vote to reinstate him as speaker in January should he win reelection in his home district in Cranston Sharyo said it's time for change. "I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna give you the name yet. I'm just gonna give you the right up that sold me on this. I put his my number one, and I started saying argh is January to March. I've never been there. Is that a good time to go? And I looked up best time to visit plank? Uh-huh. They say January to March a fantastic time to travel across the whole country. Blank is generally basking in sunshine in relatively dry all over throughout these months. Temperatures will be lovely and warm, although a touch cooler up in the hill country beaches on the south and west coaster, dry hot and sunny. So basically they said, go to this country that country one yard, you mentioned Sri Lanka. Okay. So to me, I'm like, I've always wanted to go there. It's cool that it's close to India. We've been to India the northwest part of India before it was crazy. It was crazy adventure. I don't want anything as crazy, but I have always, like you mentioned wanted to see southern India. Yeah, we're relaxed beaches and obviously Sri Lanka different country, but a same, a similar type of vibe, not even saying we'd even have to go up to India. We could say, let's go to Sri Lanka. Let's get that cool relaxed vibe of southern India inequality in a really neat country. And of course, then I read that right up of January to March, and I think, okay, this is the best time to go. Why do we not go here? It's cheap. Yeah, it's got amazing food, beautiful scenery again, not that people don't go to Shonka. Certainly a bunch of people do, but it's still very much under the radar. When you talk about the masses, general mass tourism. Him and I don't know. I had it at number five. I think mostly because I don't know that much about it. So it wasn't sure how it would be spend multiple weeks there who'd be amazing. So I would say that from all the things that we had on our list, my top two picks would be Urguay or Sri Lanka. So what are you? What is everyone out there? What are all of you think we should do? Have you been to Sri Lanka? Have you been to Urguay? Can you give us recommendations? Where would you go? "The united states in are you at toys r us kids it's a sad day it is a sad day today because i have to grow up i must now be an adult i must now be an adult because russia's gone so i i can't have that excuse anymore there if i have i wouldn't be toys r us kid anymore i mean i like those memories of going to the toy store and running to the back to get my preferred action figure so there is a part of me that's a little bit sad of course it's going out of business for a myriad of reasons one being like stuff like amazon where you can just order whatever you wanted to come to your house to being that target and walmart now toy stores my kids are like can we go to target or they are toy stores ended up themselves but i'm porn a little bit out for your brackets today and i'm a little bit at out for geoffrey the giraffe here on this day brady from windsor on sharyo you're on cbs sports radio what's going on brady excuse me good morning robin i think it's cool lebron you know posted his dongguan on instagram and these other social media sites i mean he's thirty three how many thirty three year olds can poster is people i mean i'm a pistons fan and and blake griffin turned twenty nine yesterday and he can't do that anymore so great betrayed baker for trading not looking so great is it well not looking so great but it's not his fault he's over he's averaging over twenty points a game although always not shooting three very well of all and he's not rebounding while at all but i i think the pistons just very might well have quit on on stan van gundy and unfortunately if that's the that's the case then the blake griffin's gonna take the brunt of all the criticism because he was supposed to be the one to be the star to lead the pistons the playoffs this year not that they would have done anything of course but the the whole thing in detroit is pretty messed up it appears they they'll the post season for the ninth time in the last ten seasons yeah i mean they're in a bad situation but i i understand your point on the brian.

"And he is glued the nation tour tv sets or computer screens i think the best way of understanding this is that he's a reality show on sharyo rather than a responsible president and his major goal in life is attentionseeking has been for i've been following him for almost fifty years he's always been like this he will take any kind of press even bad press he would feed newspaper reporters stories impersonating someone else just to get into the newspaper he's running the white house is if it were a reality show with your fired their off with his head being the theme of the show and so we should expect a daily drama from trump and that's completely predictable and it's not mental illness it each his way of capturing the attention of the american public and we mustn't be distracted by it so that we don't do the things we need to do to protect us from his behaviors we should worry less about his motivations and much more about the impact of his behaviors owner democracy in on the future of our children so well everyone else is focusing on diagnosing trump your book actually turns that mirror in another direction and looks asks us to look at our own sanity and so i wanted to get you to tell us a little bit about how you came to this understanding or this idea that trump's rise to power was inevitable and that there were signs within the american culture that this was down the road trump is a kind of mirror on our show and the reflection a pretty.
