Don't Ban Crypto! The Case for Pro-Innovation Regulation
"Regular listeners will have heard me reference a number of times a recent essay in foreign affairs by professor Hilary Allen called the case for banning crypto. Hillary Allen is a Professor of law at American university and she has appeared numerous times in front of Congress as a congressional witness about the crypto industry. The point being that she's not some fly by night critic. She is a respected and legitimate voice in Washington, D.C.. Her argument is quite clear in this piece. It's that as the subtitle says, blockchain's risks far outweigh its rewards. I don't need to go through piece by piece or line by line. A few weeks ago, I read a couple of rebuttals. It is notable that she threw many of the arguments that crypto advocates have right back in their face, including the idea that America could lose leadership and push crypto companies overseas. Alan basically says we shouldn't want them here because this isn't an industry we should want to be a leader in. I don't think that the point of this piece was actually Hillary Allen thinking that she could get people to ban crypto. I think the point of this piece was to shift the overton window to include banning crypto as an option. If that's the case, it's obviously very important to have voices who are also respected in Washington. Bring the conversation back to a more middle ground. And for that, we turn to the blockchain association's Kristen Smith. Kristen is extremely sharp. You can go see her in my holiday interviews from last year, and she has just published a piece on coindesk called the case for regulating not banning crypto. Kristen writes, American university professor Hilary Allen, who recently wrote an article titled the case for banning crypto in the influential publication foreign affairs, is part of a very small cohort of, quote, crypto banners, working toward that end. In addition to engaging the media, Alan and her peers are pushing the argument that crypto does more harm than good while speaking with federal agencies. She is testifying before the congressional hearing on the future of digital assets on Thursday afternoon. The case for banning crypto is a pipe dream. It won't happen by Allen's own admission, blockchain is a general purpose database technology that supports a $1 trillion industry, employing thousands globally, nonetheless, the efforts to ban rather than regulate crypto have only backfired and harmed Americans.

Always very smart charismatic, sharp in his commentary. And I remember when he was brought on to the prime time menu or the prime time roster, people weren't really sure what to make of it, but almost out of the gate immediately Tucker started to drive ratings and change the conversation. It's like a Carlson was best known for his first couple of years of broadcast. People forget this for having wacky socialist liberals and having back and forth Ryan, you should pull some clips there. It was actually what he did for you. And he changed his show. People forget this. For the first couple of years, Tucker's show was a lot of back and forth with liberals and all this. Tucker's first program was after Donald Trump won the presidency in November 2016. It was very combative that was Tucker like debating with left wingers. It drove ratings people liked it, but it wasn't as good as what his new show would be. Around 2018 and 2019, Tucker totally redid his format. No more combative back and forth with liberals and Tucker decided to become basically the beginning point. The thought leader of the conservative movement. The incubator of the populist right. Tucker Carlson decided to become a challenger on a mainstream network and a mainstream time with millions of viewers against neoliberalism. The legacy of Tucker Carlson as it is written and it will be written of his time at Fox News will be the most effective poignant, critique criticizer of neoliberalism in modern American history.

Randall Terry on "The Shedding of Innocent Blood"
"To talking to Randall Terry Randall Terry com. Okay, Randall, so you're giving us the timeline, the story of how you become the head of this monumental civil disobedience civil rights organization to end abortion and you're giving us this moment. This is so beautiful. You're in a church. You have a vision. We'll talk about that in a minute. But you then search the scriptures and you find this phrase, the shedding of innocent blood. So go ahead. So in the scripture, it says, for example, no psalms that says they shed innocent blood. The blood of their sons and daughters who they offered to the idols of Canaan and the land was polluted with blood, and the lord hated his inheritance and handed them over to foreigners to oppress them. So I studied the books of Moses, the law of Moses, and I saw how that the pagan nations, the 7 canaanite nations, they were displaced because they were sacrificing their children. They were shedding innocent blood. And it all came into sharp focus for me. That true religion, James wrote, true religion, and undefiled before God the father is that you help the fatherless in their distress. And a fatherless child is a child about to be killed. So the prophet Isaiah said, though you multiply prayers, he God is talking to his own people. He says, when you lift up your hands in prayer, I will not hear you because your hands are covered with blood. And I thought, what is going on? And so the more I dug in the scriptures, the more I saw that the guilt of innocent blood is twofold. It's upon those who kill children. But it's also on the hands of people who know that children are being killed, but don't do anything to stop it. So the Greek word and the Bible for a baby is breath os, the Hebrew word in the Bible for unborn baby is Ben. It's the word for a baby for a born baby or an unborn baby in the Bible the same word. So I came to these intense conclusions that God wanted me to say babies from death. That

Bitcoin's Price Is Fragile Right Now...
"For today's conversation, we're going to dive in into what the market structure of Bitcoin looks like right now because Bitcoin price is going up. It's like 80% year to date or something like that. At the same time, the market structure just looks weird for it. There's not a lot of liquidity out there. And as we get into the depth is weird on these exchanges, which some people are positing as could be a problem for Bitcoin a little bit here. But I'll hand it over to you just to set the table for the conversation. Tell me a little bit what you guys are seeing from the market structure, be posting it back to FTX. Yeah, so pico research, so pico is a data company. So we have access to essentially this gold line of highly granular tick level, liquidity data. And so by liquidity data, I mean many things, it can be trade volume. It can be market depth. It can be the bid ask spread, metrics for price slippage, but essentially what we want to look at when we look at liquidity is price stability and essentially how easy it is to push up or down the price of an asset. So Kiko research, we use all of this data that we're just sitting on. That's actually the product that we sell. And we analyze market trends. So one of the biggest metrics that we've been studying ever since the FTX collapse is market depth. When market depth essentially says is, what is the quantity of bids or asks on Bitcoin order books? So we have this Bitcoin market depth chart that has gone a little bit viral on Twitter and I'm sure many of the listeners have probably seen it floating around. But it is essentially shows a sharp downwards trend ever since the FTX collapse. This means that the quantity of bits and asks, which are typically supplied by professional market makers on Bitcoin order books across all exchanges, has plummeted ever since the FTX exchange went under.

What are the immediate tactical and operational effects, what is the likelihood of this happening? What are the timelines? Those are the kind of things that I'm particularly well positioned to talk about. I do not, as a general proposition, talk about the kind of business choices that you are articulating. So that the business leaders, the people like Glenn youngkin, when he was the CEO of the Carlyle group, would be in a position to make those kind of business decisions. And by the way, I think you're absolutely correct. It's not just Apple. Many firms are very reliant on China for manufacturing. Less so for services than for goods. And many of those businesses could find themselves in a very difficult position if a sudden sharp conflict broke out. Again, I don't think that's likely. I know some believe it could happen in the immediate future. I'd say it's three to 5 years away at a minimum.

Israel strikes Lebanon, Gaza, as Al-Aqsa crisis escalates
"Israel has launched rare air strikes in Lebanon, a sharp escalation that sparks fears of a broader conflict after militants fight dozens of rockets from Lebanon into Israeli territory. The Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon was analysts describe as the most serious border violence since Israel's 2006 war with Lebanon's Hezbollah militant group threatened to push the confrontation into a dangerous new phase following violence at one of Jerusalem's holiest sites in addition the Israeli military reports a Palestinian carried out a shooting attack against Israelis in the northern West Bank Israeli medics say some people were critically wounded and remain unconscious. "I think he. Eagles approved more than anything that they have when healthy great offensive line and a great defensive line and that can dominate games. Not just win them. And that's how they beat. The falcons shore jalen hurts. Look good onto smith. With the early touchdown. The first round. Pick the falcons played in their hand by running the ball probably too much. But in the end they won the game in the trenches in the eagles had a lot of injuries on the on the offensive line particularly over the last few years when they're healthy they're a strong bench. And that defensive line absolutely dominated the falcons so they continue to dominate in the trenches. It'll be illegitimate tender in the nfc would probably won't have a team that wins more than nine or maybe ten games most all right so let's look forward to week two and week. Two is overreaction. Week what we saw in week one was that who the team was or was it as aaron rodgers. Would you say just one game so to help you out. What i to say is we wanna teach you how to fish. So what i wanna do is list the overreaction candidates good and bad that we have sort of a menu of teams that you can identify and say all right. When i'm making my bets this weekend. What do i think about each of them. So let's start with the good. We've got the cardinals who smoked titans. Thirty eight thirteen for me. They very much have shiny objects syndrome. B- care for them because you can fall in love with the narrative of collar. Murray and scott. I'll get your thoughts on each of the good and the bad. After i go through these number two the saints. They smoked the packers. Thirty eight to three into displaced environment. Everyone thought wait a second. What's going to happen for the saints with everything in disorder. They were the opposite of that number. Three the raiders. They beat the ravens in prime time in overtime as four point dogs. The raiders always have shiny objects syndrome because of jon gruden and the media narrative that is attached to the now las vegas raters and the last ones the texans. They smoke the jags. Seven twenty one. Are they not the worst team in football so scott starting with those teams. Do you have any thoughts on overreaction one way or another on any of those four. Well the cardinals. I think you have to be careful. There's it's very doubtful that a guy like chandler jones is gonna get the Turnstile of tyler the line to lead the five sacks again. I do think they have improved. Defense based on the defensive front but their secondary which wasn't tested by the titans has a lot of holding it. I'm not overly excited. Still about what i saw from cliff kingsbury who was supposed to be an offensive sharp guy coming into the league hasn't been i'm neutral on the cardinals. I wouldn't get overly excited. They're probably a borderline playoff in the raiders. I ran into a ravens team. That was banged up. Made a lot of mistakes. Dropped in the raiders. Dropped back to pass a lot net game if they continue to do so. I don't know if that'll be a winning recipe. With derek carr but the ravens failed to get any sort of pressure on him. Which was a little bit surprising. I think the raiders are still under five hundred team and the texans. I think they just ran into a jaguars team. Might be the only team in the league. That is worse than them with a head coach..

"The jags versus the texans and i looked in the jaguars were laying three on the road and i was like wait. A second you're telling me a rookie quarterback with a first-time nfl head. Coach is laying three by principle. I do not care who they're playing against the next game me my pickle losers the jags minus three from a foundation standpoint in elliott. I've actually got a question for you. Because i didn't know this before i looked it up. Can you tell me who in the world. The texans head coaches colleague. Right from the ravens. Well yeah i had no idea. I did look and see that. He came from andy reached tree in was from baltimore. So kudos to you for actually known that. What actually makes me feel good about this. Bet is tyrod taylor. Tyrod taylor is a veteran that if we remember last year he was supposed to be the starter in san diego. Guess for the chargers before their medical team headed mishap. Boom here goes justin herbert's trajectory. So i feel better. Getting three points with tyrod taylor and while the texans don't have sexy players on them they've got a bunch of mark ingram's in philip lindsay's and david johnson's. I'm not writing home to tell anybody about that. But when look at what's on the other side of the jags not only had one victory last year. There is no way. I am laying three points with the jags so the jags pick a loser of the week. What about you. I like that a lot. I've written up the texans as one of the better like Pool spread. Because i think everyone's going to pick the jaguars forgetting yes therefore accolades much improve. They did go on fifteen last year. The texans are the worst team football but laying three on the road. That just feels grossly. I think the texans are there right. So i won't game but i think your your pick a loser. I i like where you're going with it for me. I'm gonna go with the jets i. They are much improved team. There's there's no more roberts. I'll against fading a rookie quarterback. I think the panthers are going to surprise people to give the jet secondary a ton of problems. The jets just lost carl austin. Who is there marquee. Offseason edition on the defense who finally was supposed to replace a basically be their first real ed rusher since john abraham his backup vinny curry is also outfit season. They traded for shack lawson because they have no ability to get pressure on the edge. So you can't get pressure on the edge and you can't cover anybody. Their number one corner was just cut. Blessing awesome they. Don't have a single guy on the roster who is greater than a fifth round pick and they're covering dj. more robbie..

"Seventeen fourteen one. Ats as a favourite including seven and four. Ats has road shock. They've been pretty good on the road when when giving the points However only laying the points in two games this season there minus six and a half of houston in week. Thirteen in minus wanna jacksonville in the week. Eighteen finale which is one of those ainsworth. Yeah you don't know if they're gonna be resting everyone or or what. The situation is this team. But i mean just look at their local headlines and you can tell where is make your stand in the colts. They have no idea yet in with the colts. I'm looking for them to get off to a slow start in the first four games in maybe starting in week five jumped back when everybody gets off of them. The team that now looks like air the favorites to win the division is what has been the titans and they have all the opportunity in the world of. What are your thoughts on tennessee. Yeah there's a couple of questions with them as what's life after arthur smith because he just made the most of this offense made brought ryan tannehill back from the dead and the defense has been really bad and hasn't been a dangerous defense. They need them to do something. Because the team's gonna score a lot of points in the derrick. Henry is essentially an automatic first down every few runs so The titans find themselves giving the points. Nine hundred seventeen games in two thousand twenty. one Had strength schedules t thirteen kind of middle of the road But only three times to spread stray more than half. A point passed a field goal. So some not giant piles of chalk here for a team that's really capable of putting up points however unavailable they have struggled as a favourite eleven fifteen one. Ats when giving the point since two thousand eighteen. And then when you tighten those lines too short kind of games that could maybe swing either way these minus three and a half or shorter. The titans shrink as well two four eight one. Ats versus breads of minus three and a half shorter and they went on three against those types spreads last season. I'm going to be a little bit cautious on the titans. There's just something about my spider sense that says it seems so obvious they get julio. It seems so sexy. But i just don't know if i'm ready to believe that they are this rock of stability in and think your stat about them as favorites really speaks to it. let's move on. Yeah minus one ten to win the division which is not bad. Not bad all right..

"You know three's and seven's and things like that. I don't wanna start my college football season by betting on yukon sitting there with now i don't know twenty eight points in your hand and boom. It's thirty four nothing to have gulp. I know we're talking about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. But that is not something that i am interested in doing. So there's two other games on the slate. i'm curious if you have thoughts neither one. Ucla laying eighteen at home taking on hawaii. Which is usually the get out game but it is not today not this weekend and you tap laying ten on the road taken on new mexico state. Seeing that jumped from seven up to ten. Yeah i think. I'm kind of surprised that ucla line actually isn't a little higher. Not so much. Because i think they're gonna they're gonna blow twi. But just because i think they probably the books probably could still get plenty of action on ucla Without line north of twenty Just with hawaii playing on the radio. We've got ucla with the in their third or fourth year under chip kelly here Lots of returning talent on both sides. you know other than the starting running back there pretty much loaded coming back from from last year This is the game actually the side and this will But looking at the total. I think there's kind of there's kind of a couple of ways you could go at this. At and i think it might be kind of counter. Intuitive to what people are kind of expecting to do in this situation because if people are looking to play the over here they're probably thinking okay. Hawaii's gonna hawaii is gonna come out and be slinging it all over the field. We're gonna need hawaii to contribute a bunch to get this to get this game over the total. I actually think if you if you expect ucla's defense to kind of dominate. This game Get a lot three notes so two out of the hawaii offense. I think you argue to see it ended up going over. Because you're gonna that hawaii defense is good. They've got a lot of speed a lot of talent..

"Now he's he's done like one out of four seasons so that's a challenge to but with fantasy. I'm a big fancy player. Always been played for years love it. I love listening and allen analysts because they're section is that fancy good fantasy analysts. They talk about football. They're not fancy full trauma football and you can get lessons from them and even if you don't play fantasy football you're getting a lot of lessons from them on how good these players are why things turn out the way they do their route. There's some exceptional guys out there. Talking fantasy football right now but you can take that. Josh jacobs is a great example. Just shake his falling in drafts. I mean he's. I just did a like late third round and you look at it and you say why and everybody knows kenyan drake and people worried about his plane on. That goes right into You love your props. I'm looking. I'm saying aaron. Jones is basically i mid first round pick now. Josh jacobs is late third round pick but yet they're over under the rushing totals only about fifty yards apart. I think are jones is ten fifty jacobs thousands. I use a semi. I play fantasy. And i know this just stats. We're talking about this point. Not a lot of intangibles. Just talking mckinney. Hit the statistical threshold. And i think it makes it easier that way you have a you have a better baseline you know. We're starting as a foundation here. That i know josh jacobs i know is falling and drafts for the listener. These guys talk about it. And i agree with them. Probably go over. Go under on him. Go over on a guy like aaron jones and all the reasons that that he's been you know flying updraft. So i think there's a big intersection..

"I think it probably would get over four but it's not locked. They they won. I mean it was. It was a struggle for them last year. It's gonna be a struggle for them again this year. Their best player. Other than shawn. Watson probably laremy tunsil just read like. This is not a good football team in any way. I just don't see it and you know it's funny. Lives are bad like we know lines are at and we know the probably the jets are going to be probably bad away. Maybe the i'm not sure about the jaguars might be okay. But even the line. Let's say lines thirty first festival. Which i think we'd all agree with leap years ahead of the texans. I don't see scenario. Mr texans aren't the worst team football. And if you're you're giving me plus two hundred on it. I gotta take that because i just. I don't see a path for the texans can't talk. We talk ourselves into is being over five at a pretty good case on the line or running. I can't come up with any scenario. In which the houston. Texans are over four unless trump wants to play seventeen games. I just like it like you said. I think a much better chance he plays zero. What about the jets. So as we are talking about this in real time. I'm like all right. Am i exactly in love with zach wilson rookie quarterback with first time head coach there with the jets and culture that consistently finds a way to screw things up when looking at those five teams that we mentioned the jets would be the other team that i would consider their divisions. Not gonna do them. Any favors with miami pushing for the playoffs. New england pushing for the playoffs bills coming off their best season ever. What are your thoughts on the potential for the jets to have the worst record overall. Certainly could i mean we're talking about them. Midseason last year may even about thanksgiving..

"See these season rentals but also like week one wines. Those are the teams. I might be looking at betting against week. One like fading. The browns may just because every other browns me good. Everyone thinks that so. I think that that might be a pointer to highlight to go. I like to find places where people aren't really looking at people aren't really thinking and i mean that's just how my brain works in nfl. I tried you looking to not feed the packers right now. But i do agree with that sentiment. He's not happy by everyone knows that. And that's why. I don't think i'd be looking monetary with cash on that right now in. I'm with you on looking to fade teams. People are on and looking to be on teams. People are off the challenge being the narratives for why we would be off one team in on another team when the prevailing market is telling us otherwise. You really have to do some digging. So what i wanna do is get a little bit into what we're actually doing. Prep standpoint in one thing. That was new to my prep this year. Is i just purchased warren. Sharps book. His nfl preview in. Why did i do this. Because success leaves breadcrumbs in sometimes in life or oftentimes in life. You'd have to be told something numerous times before you actually listen. Maybe there's something here within the last week and actually from the last time i did this. Podcast in two separate instances people whose sports betting or football opinion i. I subscribe to both mentioned that they have worn sharps book as the bible and i was like listen. I'm all like you. I'm consuming information and perspectives. So if there's something out there that can help me be more informed. Better be better as a host for everyone else. That's out there boom. That's something that i'm doing in. This thing is like uber. Comprehensive super analytical. It doesn't mean that. I'm going to use it as my all beal but i think that one of the things that i do. A good job of is auditing the opinions that are out there and i matched them up to mine. So who does he like. who does he not like. What does other markets saying out. There what am i is saying based on what we just said trying to get on some teams and off some other teams. I'm curious your perspective. On what other things are sources you use to prep. So i'm right there with ya. I always i wore chirp. I got it. it's a digital version. But it is. it's a little more numbers driven. It's very analytical which is not always my style but it's a. It's a great piece of information. I mean for college. Football phil steele. Everyone people dog. They'll steal sometimes. "That went down yesterday in the world of sports and we are recording this on friday at noon eastern and holy smokes batman was there a bevy of trades and draft in nfl and nba mlb and everything in between. So we're going to do today is we're going to talk about hey. Nba russ goes to the lakers. What impact does that have nba draft. We learned anything from betting that we've also got. Mlb trade deadline some major names moved and also we're going to get to nfl. What are we doing to prepare for this upcoming season. And let's start with the biggest news. I believe if the day russell westbrook to the lakers. Some books had the lakers at five one going into this moved them to four two one. I'm curious from your perspective. Does this do anything for you. And or does this move your eyes to other teams so i think i am in the minority. That was a big fan of his tray. I know there's a lot of voices out there that are anti westbrook and i get that in the they needed to. Shooter is not definitely a shooter. But as the broad gets older he needs someone to handlebar. He need someone to get. Rebounds needs another beater off that can score. I think westbrook is the perfect perfect fit there. You went to ucla. That's his whole. He wanted to go there. I know he's bounced around multiple teams. But he's always been you know not poisonous situations with the wizards. Weren't the right fit for him now. He's going to veteran team. If they can stay healthy. I can see it and there's gonna be role players that are gonna go to the lakers. Because they want to chase a title. I think it was a perfect move. And i think i am in the minority on that also. I've heard his negative opinions about it. And i like to trade a lot i do. I think the west is wide open. I think the lakers took a major step forward and i agree with you in in all the negative backlash that i'm hearing my first thought right or wrong. Wise russ is great because anthony street closed. Davis isn't always in there. Lebron is no longer carrying the load all the time. And what the lakers would have when fully healthy would be three turbos in what i mean by. Turbo is like you can't stop any of those three players individually. You can't solve lebron. You can't stop ad and you can't stop russell westbrook so if one of them goes down there's room for them to pick up the other slack and if nothing else russes just he's a one of one. He's extremely difficult to guard izzy flawed. Of course he is. But i think from a what. I'm looking for from a big three sam points. They're unique in that they have players that are unlike any other players in the leak. I completely agree and west. It's.

"There's a lot that can happen so immediately. I'm like i'm not interested in the outright. Because that is such a crapshoot there in i'm curious your mindset on how we can be more positive better on such a raynham tournaments. I'm not used to have to give you a little bit of a big head here. I'm not used to an interviewer being so savvy and being so street smart. And i'd like to say maybe i added that a little bit but You know helping you but seriously you're really really informed on well school than well versed on this. You know you're mentioning two guys clark. One that i seen him two hundred one. That year was two thousand eleven. And you mentioned ben. Curtis ben curtis won this in two thousand and three and he was like three hundred to one. So it's a really long long shots ear in the past and you have to remember even Even the last time we were across the pond two years ago. My buddy casey. Casey kerr has been a caddy for many of the top players in the world. I mean he caddied for almost everyone you could possibly think of big names in the game From from payne stewart to arnold palmer. Vj singh Just just ridiculous names. These bs caddy for. I was honest. Show with him and he gave out a hundred to one the previous winter which was two years two years ago. The name just skips me for now but yes also i mean this has been some giant longshots here over the years and you know for someone to be. Jon rahm this. I've seen him seven and a half the one eight to one Ridiculous ridiculous no one should be. I wanna be. I wanna bet the no we we do have a sportsbook here in vegas that we actually could bet the no by the way Which is which is really a rare things most places. Just put the odds on a golfer to win and by betting into that field alone. Think about the variables. We have to get over here. You have to beat. You know all these other golfers professional golfers in a very very random tournament that ball shots come out. There's so many different things that are happening. And now you have to bet into something. A futures market with thirty forty fifty percent holes. I mean if you bet matchup head to head at the four and a half percent house edge compared to a hold of fifty percent. It's ridiculous now. I do bet some futures once in a while. Because i have many different places to scout out the lines and see the line so if i have ten different places where i can find someone like this week. For example i like a guy named webb simpson. I think web is even though he hasn't done the recently so great. I think it's maybe sets up for him at the odds that they are seen at seventy seventy five to one out of here. So i know that. I see certain sports books. I'll look at. He's fifty to one forty forty one. Now i found a sportsbook seventy five to one. I know i'm not part of that. Fifty percent old. I could bring it down to single digits so Very important for me. If i do a future is that. I'm gonna have a lot of places to look at futures. I'm going to have a lot of different places to shop futures which is which is very very important. you definitely want to shop Lines all the time..

"And i don't think his offense is going to be where it was either so this is a good time for paul to come in jake paul to come in beat a guy like Linley pick off a huge win. Which would be much better than aspirin fighting my pitch So but i do think this far more competitive and this is a more of a real type boxing match in my opinion last question. What is the current state of boxing. So we see all of this excitement around mma in the celebrity fighting circuit. But now we've got boxing which is very much a it almost seems like a regional or a niche sport. Similar to hockey the local markets love their hockey teams. But if you're not in one of the local markets. You're probably not watching hockey and i feel similarly for boxing. The people who love boxing man. We love boxing. But for the casual fan. I'm not sure if it's there because we want have any star power at least from a casual stamp or it's not as consistent like right now if someone said name me. The top three boxers in the world well pound for guys are going to name it but the casual fan is not so. I'm curious your thoughts on the current state of boxing. Yeah we just need more of the marquee matchups spence impact coming up and that's going to be an amazing fire obviously We have the wildfire coming up right against tyson fury. That's going to be probably a pretty good fight. To so those those bigger fights cannella fights ta fema lopez triple. Jeez i think what we see those fights when those guys are fighting boxing still alive. And we're seeing that drawn and we're seeing people care about boxing right but outside of that. You're right i mean if it's not a marquee fighter and that type of level or that category don't care as much you know. So that's a shame i think boxy has definitely take it a step down with especially with the growth of ufc but now with some of these like circus fights that we're talking about. Boxing is coming back to life a little bit again if we see some more consistency as some of these guys. The app bigger names continue to fight. I think box is going to be okay. I mean we do have some up-and-coming future you know prospects of force that are going to great one day so there's a lot to like i think potentially about boxing and it's going to be. I think it has a chance to kind of be back and respected and and really be a beloved again right. I mean. I think a lot of fans have backed away throughout you know the last few years or whatnot but i think with the combination of combat sports growing in all different aspects. I think the boxing will be okay. Especially like i said we keep on getting these fights. That's a good thing. Nick really enjoyed this conversation. I think he's only for like one or two thousand is entire. You have secret and that was in his debut so he's gonna have more problems i think. Firstly what guys are looking to take him down. that's how he lost his last fight. But this kind of favors them stylistically. So i think he's legit. And i think it's a dog or past situation for heart here i like. I said it's a shame that some of that other stuff brings them down but as far as competing this guy if he keeps on improving and keeps on elevating his game he could find himself in a potential title match as crazy as that sounds one day a ufc but he just has to keep on approving and keeping his focus. I but that's specialist guy is. Let's not forget the. Ufc heavyweight division is overall general. Little bit weaker so a guy like him could come in there and make some waves and make some noise and make a run quicker than in most divisions is there any sort of public bump or lack thereof because of name recognition for him from betty. Sam points like a casual fan you go in to circuit right. Haven't even better than mcgregor fighting. "The cleveland browns this year. So what happens in this football game here. Kansas city hosts cleveland cleveland. This playoff revenge chip on their shoulder. Kansas got dust themselves back off and they also have to react themselves. The whole new offensive line here. That's what told them in the super bowl game their offensive woes and injuries. They add their another singing. It back together again here. I think there's a nice situation for the cleveland. Browns plus the points in that particular super bowl loser. Fadi in game one margaret. I'm curious how we could fade the kansas city chiefs if we were to believe in the super bowl hangover narrative similar to what you mentioned around taking the under on the baltimore ravens. There is nothing comfortable for people being like. You believe what i'm doing. I'm betting against lamar jackson. And i'm fading the kansas city chiefs in patrick mahomes. But there's a reason why some of these narrative narratives exists. So if we wanted to say. Hey i wanna fade. Kansas city which certainly is not going to be comfortable. But guess you gotta get comfortable being uncomfortable. How would you approach something like that if we wanted to be off of the chiefs this year. It's a tough job. They have to sell that. Rob because patrick mahomes being cool he is any football fan. That really doesn't dive in the handicapping. Sees patrick mahomes as being the premier quarterback in kansas city still the premier team in the national football and they probably got a really good argument in that case share. But patrick mahomes not invincible. We st before in the past from him and we are playing the percentages here. We're getting a lot of value invading kansas city. This football season here remember last year. How close call armony close. Call football games. This team played last year. They were blowing people out like they did the year before when they won the super bowl on the other partner to this equation. Here is this. It's very very difficult for teams detected super bowl three years in a row which are asking kansas city to do. If you want to believe that we're going to not fall. Prey to the super bowl loser. Jinx this football season here so i'm gonna play. The percentage of up and coming football team in the cleveland browns and until kansas city proves to me that they can put teams away in solving the way and win deems by double digit margins. They'll be famous star football season. And what i love about what you just said is sort of a principal playing the percentages so often in sports. Betting were very emotional. And that's okay. i'm someone who's an entertainment better. So i wanna have fun. When i'm betting of course. I want to win but some people go completely emotional other people say you know what i'm gonna take emotion out of this and i'm gonna play the percentages and see where the value is because over the long term when i continue to play this..

"Now. Let's go to your overplay my over or play. I'm going to use a team that i liked last year and failed miserably with You know we don't win all the time and we lose we lose bad will admit we lost bad. I was on the dallas cowboys last football season. I i look for big things from their last year. They had done everything terrifically in the off season. Prior to last year other draft again a major homerun in doing just that and then everything. Hit the fan for this. Football team is to europe. Not only the cove situation. Dak prescott means everything. This football team losing him. They end up. Having a place for quarterbacks throughout the course of the season last year they stood. And now you've got a healthy debt prescott mac and happy and if you take a look at what day did last year. Break them down there. I mean games of the season. Those of the nine games they played before they went into their bye week. Nine consecutive games in a row. They were minus thirteen in turnovers in those football games. What happens the teams that turn the ball over at that rate. You just don't win football games now. They've got a new defensive coordinator in here. Dan quinn formerly of of defensive coordinator with former atlanta hawks. Head coach. But dan quinn fit. What i call the peter principle to the max he is a deep accorded or i would try to be head. Coaching was all. This is a master when it comes to defending football teams being defensive cord altogether. I think you've got a mighty mighty angry dallas cowboy football team. It's chomping at the bit and you know the other side of this equation here is this is if you look at that aunt. Nfc east sixteen years in a row. The team has won. The division has failed the comeback win again. That will last year was washington so we can safely eliminate washington on a winning this. Nfc east division. That leaves it up to three other teams. I think dallas would be the leading. Contender amongst those three moose. Mike mccarthy failed terribly. It'd be go back. And you look at mark mccarthy in his days at green bay When he had his first losing season he bounced back with eleven wins the next year. I see that written all over the dallas cowboys this year. This football team to go over nine and a half ways the thing. That's challenging for me on the cowboys is one shiny object syndrome. It's very easy narrative to say dacca's back in why the cowboys should be good. I'm curious from your standpoint. So you'd mentioned dacca's healthy. But i would also say. He's coming back from injury. So how much does that affects things. Because we'll look at joe borough and dak prescott guys who had season ending injuries. Who are both high profile..

"You're going to see that offering come. I think in other places. It may take a little bit longer. The retail sports book. I think is going to be a little bit longer. Hopefully by labor day in some jurisdictions where the casino sports folks can begin to open. But it's the one of the provinces. There's no more legislation required to be done the provinces all through regulation. It's at their control. A lot of them have been working on it already for for the sports betting regulations. So it's gonna be. There's not there's no more legislative processes wait for government we just have to get the regulators putting the regulatory regimes in place. Which they know they've been working on. We've been talking to many of them about it as they've gone forward and but the big one is going to be ontario because as you know that moving to a regulated online marketplace. It's gonna be the only open licensing system. I think in north america when it's all said and done so anybody wants to come and be licensed can come to interior. Oh and open online gaming sites sportsbook and that will happen later this year. So we're going to see. I think gradual increase in product available for people starting probably within weeks and And as the year comes to a close a lot more hopefully so let's look on the operator side of things because looking in the state she just see everyone doing a land grab for the user acquisition draft kings fan. Duels william hill boom. We want to get into all of these markets. So what's the operators in plaguing and look like in canada..

"Want to open championship in europe Back in two thousand and ten but he is subsequently finished runner up at every major. Louis does nothing but show up at these tough tracks in major events in competes. This is going to be a grinder. I don't know that we're gonna see like we could see minus two minus one. Winning like tiger was mine is one in eight when they won't one here. This just fits louis. He did it the other day. A couple of weeks ago kiawah. He just kind of is a grinder. he's great on poa he putts really well. He doesn't have the distance the tee but he's really good with his long irons which elp since he's going to be going back a little bit further in the fairway again. That's thirty three to one on fan duel fifty. I'm sorry out. Fifty to one. I think on points about but thirty three on fan tool so again. That's a massive discrepancy. Just by shopping. A little bit of number. So louis you can get at it. I think fifty or five to one for top ten speaking of rory thoughts on him this week. Back to back top ten's us open's seeing plus one eight plus one eight for a top ten roy this week so rory is being way off the team that is his massive advantage similar. Bryson right in a little bit of a less way. When roy was rolling. It's off the team. And he is basically lost or been flotsam field in stroke. Seen off the tee in five of his last six events. Obviously the outlier. There was the win that he had. I'm a little off. Rory i have no problem cutting him with a live. Bet if i see. He's driving it really well on thursday. He has historically played pretty poorly on thursdays in majors So i definitely would wait and see rory's guy to track and that's other cool thing about golf that's like we don't all have you know what to make them. All on tuesday. Wednesday we can bet live matchups in game..

"And i'm like i like this guy. I like his moxie the pedigree of the way that they're talking about this guy. I don't know a ton about him. But i know that i wanna root for the guy so we did not do this ahead of time. I did not tell you that. I'm betting on twenty feet now. I did not tell you that. My second outright play is wills l. Taurus you can get forty six to one on draftkings. I think there are smarter ways to get positional bats to your points. You can find his alatorre at plus three fifty on draftkings for a top ten. That's an outstanding number. Look all this does is go to the toughest tracks against the strongest fields. And he contends top six last year in his debut as you mentioned that the us open solo second at the masters. He was topped six last month at the pga. He's terrific. He was seventh year at torrey in january for the farmers texas kid but obviously showed a comfort level in the poa greens. Which you love to see. Seventeen in field and strokes gain t- degree over his past fifty rounds when he's wayward. It's a little bit with the potter. But you like to see that. He's been a little familiar with it when he was here in january. I'm forty six to one. This guy should be closer into the mid thirties. I think we're getting a really nice number. I think historically ever look back. We're not going to be able to get wilsie over forty majors moving forward. I think you just wanna make a play blindly on the price. I am in on that. Another thing that i'm in on is an entertainment prop hole in one. Yes minus one. Thirty seven no plus one of five. I have absolutely nothing to go on for this. I saw an article. That jason logan road for covers briefly talking about this. But i haven't seen any empirical data being like this is why you should or shouldn't and of course i'm not exactly waking up in the morning being like. Oh i believe he will just gonna hit holes in one of the us open which is extremely hard to play to begin with. But guess what i like to root for. I loved root for a hole in one in me as an average at best golfer. I zero hole in wants to my name yet. Every time i step up to a par three. I call my shot because i am do therefore i am team hole in one. I'm really betting. Yes minus one thirty seven..
