"And not only is he here, they apparently sent him the playbook for him to look out on the plane so he could get up to speed well enough to have enough knowledge of the system to start against the Raiders, tomorrow night, and if you think well, that's just gonna be chumming the waters for the silver and black, may I present to you a team that lost to a, another team that was. Fresh off of hiring an interim head coach from his high school team and a guy who had never heard of Parks and Recreation, whatever. Call place. They lost that team. I know it's parks, Frasier, right? You said it right the first Parks and Recreation. Sure. It was that guy. Matt Ryan still running on a third down. The game on the line. Wow. And I know they've run three in a row, but crazier things have happened that Baker Mayfield could be cut on a Monday and win a football game for the defending Super Bowl champion rams, who by the way are about to be right front and center on the country in a big way. Certainly a three win team normally isn't they got this Thursday night game. Please start Baker Mayfield. I want to see it. And I'd love to see mcvay just dialed in on him, and he starts winging it around to receivers that you've never heard of and are absolutely available on your waiver wire right now for your fantasy team. With a Los Angeles Rams have got this Thursday night game against Vegas. There on Monday Night Football at Green Bay next week. And then the centerpiece of Christmas Day can Baker Mayfield come in to Los Angeles and show Russ, how it's done? As they're challenged to try and even put up a touchdown. The next three rams games are nationally televised. Only game in town. Just in time for Baker Mayfield a plan is flagged in Los Angeles. Oh baby. I heard that. I'm like, way to go you less need. And we talked about it, Jim. We mentioned it on Monday. Why wouldn't the rams put in a claim? Just to make sure, hey, San Francisco, you beat us on the McCaffrey trade? Our defending Super Bowl champion quarterback has the dreaded spinal cord contusion. I mean, that sounds way, way worse than a pelvic contusion. Right? I mean, this is serious. This sounds really serious here. And so baker becomes available in a rams like, we'll pick up his last million change. Croke could find out in his ashtray. We got it. We'll do it. And see what's going on. Against the Raiders at Green Bay, where by the way, he had an outstanding game for Cleveland last year. Remember that? Isn't that a Christmas? We went to Green Bay on a Christmas? Through an interception at the end of the game. There was a browns fans were screaming for pass interference on Donovan people's Jones, got picked off at the end, but baker was balling out there. I think it was a Christmas game last year if I'm not mistaken. Man, oh man. And then Baker Mayfield on Christmas Day, pull up a chair. Have your poppy on the couch looking for a belly scratch. Watching the defending Super Bowl champions go for their third straight win with Baker Mayfield in front of a national television audience. It was Christmas Day last year. Look at that. Number 17, look at him. Big red, four picks in that game. That was quick. Damn straight, he's smiling. Look at that. I'm not in Cleveland. I'm not in Carolina. I am in Los Angeles, California. SoFi Stadium. Rams quarterback for the rest of the year. Got to say that absolutely. He's your guy. The rest of the year. Sean mcvay, sprinkle some of the McVeigh. He dust on this thing. Let's go to work. I will be hammering the Raiders tomorrow. Just like you did against the colts a couple weeks ago. When I won, you know how I pounding the table for the Raiders, but if the Raiders don't win this game, it's a pretty big opportunity against Jeff Saturday and the colts who say the ship yet. Surprised everybody by starting Matt Ryan. Who's still running? The iron deer in the front. You know what that looked like? You know what he looked like when he was running for that first down. Matt Ryan. He looked like one of those electric football players on the table. Kept going and you're wondering, and all the defense is now in the other corner of the table as this one piece is just still buzzing down. That's what it looked like to me. That's still in my head right now. To anybody who thinks this is a piece of cake. Let's ride. Okay. Do something. Hey, man. You know how I feel about that. Four wins in a row, and then they take on your pats. And that game that got flexed out of Sunday Night football for their 5th straight win before I see them. On Christmas Eve on NFL network in the 50th anniversary game of the immaculate reception. Oh, let's say it's steelers and raiders both 7 and 7 on that night. Oh, baby. Count me in. That said, here comes baker, Mayfield is a flying ointment. This league, man, you can never predict it.

"Man oh man, when Baker Mayfield was scratching the belly of the dog, not a metaphor for anything. He was literally scratching the belly of the dog. Was it that he wouldn't pet the dog? That was the thing. How was he? Oh, that's right. He was just sitting there in the dog was just like, please scratch my stomach. And that's what I said. That was a red flag that he wouldn't scratch in belly of a dog saying, please scratch my belly. That's all I would do. I would stop the podcast and go, hold on a second, and scratch the belly. Good point. Can I put that down? So when he was doing that, and he was just like, we were all wondering what's happening with him. What's going on? When's he going to get out of from Cleveland? When are they going to make this move? Who's coming to get Baker Mayfield? If I told you he might be the week 14 starter for the Los Angeles Rams at that point in time, you're going to be like, what are you talking about? What? Do you need your belly scratched? Answer is yes. But you knew that everybody knew that. It was an awkward pause, so I just figured I'd fill it. Well done. I mean, holy cow. So the Panthers come and get them. How about how about this being the actual story between the belly, the dog wanting a belly scratching him potentially starting for the Los Angeles Rams tomorrow night to kick off week 14 on Amazon Prime? The Panthers go and get them for Matt rule and there's a competition between Mayfield and darnold that I said there won't be really competition. You might call it that, but if you're giving up draft capital for the guy, you clearly don't believe in Sam darnold enough that you need to create a competition. You need to kick a tire here. And sure enough, you know, there is a competition, but baker's the guy. It didn't help that Sam darnold got hurt significantly with an ankle injury towards the end of the preseason, but it was baker's gig by that point anyway. And then the Panthers, I won't use the words involving the pooch, but they did. And sure enough, that rules now the head coach of Nebraska football and Baker Mayfield's quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams. Because after getting his job back from PJ walker because he got benched by the interim head coach and Sam darnold comes off of IR and they basically tell him, hey, you're in the new Zach Wilson. You're number three. Number one overall pick formerly. Your number three now on our depth chart and he's like, I want out of here and they're like, we will oblige. And they oblige on the very next day after Jimmy G supposedly hurts his foot in such a manner. It requires surgery and he's out for the season. The old Liz Frank. And so now we find out when bakers on waivers not only to the niners not claim him, and part of that might be that they got a sense that Garoppolo might not be done for the season might not need surgery and that has now been reported out of Santa Clara that he doesn't and it's possible he could be back for a playoff run. Which would be fascinating if Kyle Shanahan has placed in the position that Belichick was placed in all those years ago. Did he go at the young kid? That was your last day draft pick that you thought had no shot of blossoming into what is blossoming because if the niners have a deep playoff run in them, Brock purdy's leading him there. Remember that? You're going to go back to blood cell you're going to stick with the hot hand and Brady. That was even the question after Bledsoe had to come out from the bench off the bench to win an AFC championship game because Brady got hurt. We forget about that part of the story. And Brady's first year, there was even a question for Belichick while you go back to Brady for the Super Bowl. Spoiler alert he did. But that might be a reason why the niners didn't place a claim for Baker Mayfield. It didn't matter. It would have been a moot point if they had placed a claim in for Baker Mayfield because as we found out yesterday in the waiver wire process, the rams got them first. And here we go. Here we go. Talk about landing on your feet. Because I don't know what's going on with Matthew Stafford. When you hear spinal cord contusion and you've got a trophy in the case and you have proven all you need to prove already in just one year of Los Angeles, California, football. And you got four little kids, I think I'd hang out. I mean, I will let my voice trail off because you understand the conversation. And you always heard there's a couple quarterbacks that might fit the system, things ain't like, they could really look at and say, that's a guy. That's my guy. I could do stuff with that guy. Baker Mayfield has been a name you've heard. Every now and then.

"They've done it the right way. They also have four also looking to climb into that number 5 spots and they could talk a little bit more trash. So, you know, when you went to championships, you know what you have to do. You know, the other team is going to be playing way above their head, but I also gain issues start to tighten it up a little bit, glaciers start to get his legs back and they should really start to get a cracker because when you're a championship team, you don't need home court advantage. I wouldn't want to play Steph Curry in the first round. I don't care if they're at home or at home. I don't want to see mister Steph Curry in that first round. And then tonight's game between the Celtics and the sons, if I said that you could take that as the preview for the NBA Finals or the rest of the field, what would you take right now here, top of December? I will say you're correct. You have been a visionary of the game for a long time. Your word. Thank you, sir. You know, respect you. I respect your wife. Thank you for what you have done. Yes, thank you. I believe what you say because this is what you do. You've been doing it for a long time. A lot of people can see that. I can also see that. Okay. Well, you know what? We can talk about it when there's a documentary called rich, a four part documentary. It's probably more that's probably more possible, Susie, you'll be part of that documentary as well. Let me know because I produce this documentary Jersey legends, baby. I love it. I'm producing a producing movies and family. We'll do that. One of my favorite stories Susie told me when she was covering the Lakers when you were playing Shaq. The Shaq Kobe Lakers that she was covering is we got engaged that she calls me up and she goes to Shaquille was very impressed with the ring that you got me. And that made me, as I was sitting on the set of SportsCenter puffing my chest out, Shaquille. So I appreciate your support. Who are your boyfriends? She's like rich eyes. I was like, my rich. My rich. Two O 6. Maybe two O 7? That's me. That was me back in the day. Channel two O 6. That's right. I was like, okay, I did a good job. I thought I had. I really felt that I had, but then when she calls me up, she goes, Shaquille O'Neal said, good job. I'm like, okay. He's a little proof. I knew I got like, you knew about it. You know about rings that I know. I said, oh, I said, why don't you marry rich and so don't let that suit for you? When he takes his clothes off, he looks like Fabio. Fabio Isaac. I was like, okay. Thank you. Okay. I knew you've been supporting you've been in my corner for a long time. Shaquille O'Neal. Thanks. Thanks again. Congrats on the talk. Right back at you. There you go. Shaquille and you'll everybody. Right here on the show. Thanks so much. These are true stories, by the way. I'm not kidding. I'm just going to say this. I love Shaq, man. Of everything that dude does, bro well, he also he used to do too. And when Sue sits in here, you've got to have her tell the story. But I'll give you the let me write this down because I'm still trying to get her to tell us what she told Shaquille O'Neal. Okay. When she first started covering the team and saw that Shaquille would have a habit of strolling behind reporters who were doing their job standing on camera and he would be like dancing moves behind them. He loved please ask Susie to tell you the story of what she told him. After she saw he did it to others and thus Shaquille never did it to her. Oh, I gotta hear this. All right. I'm still trying to get her to tell us about that. We're still trying to get it to tell us about the ultimatum, but she would my ultimatum to her. Yeah, but she immediately went to commercial. You got to ask at the top of an hour. Now I know. I know your break times, man. I don't know your break time for the app. And I think she went to commercial early, as you know what I'm saying. I understand. Let's take a break here on the program. Baker Mayfield is now a Los Angeles resident. What is happening? This league, man, this league wild. "To stream on HBO Max Robert Alexander said that Kobe's family called up and said, can you not make this less Kobe centric than it might be or is in the edit bay? Does that surprise you? Check? I don't know. We all miss him. We all wish he was here. I'm not familiar with that story on my show, but I wouldn't do that anyway. Our story is well documented. So it doesn't pay anybody any good to keep going over it. The basis of the story is the respect was there. That's all that matter. Everybody wants you guys to us guys in a locker room. We travel all the time. It ain't going to be rosy cheeks all the time. Tell me you don't have bumps in a row. But I always tell people, you think we had these and go back their first championship after a Reggie misses the shot, somebody get the rebound. You see me going in the middle, that's why I put both hands up. It's 30,000 people in Oregon about a thousand people in a restaurant to see who's the first guy to jump in my arms. Look it up. Look it up. So if we don't like each other, I think everybody got food. And you should be fooled because I knew what I was doing when it comes to marketing. I want you to talk about being always able to be. And you know, we had some problems. You shoot, I shoot that shit, but that's not every team. You don't think guys have a problem with, you know, guys taking all the extra shots. Listen, I'm the big guy, I'm saying I want to first. Kobe's azar said, no, I got it. You have those things, but when you got two of the best guys competing with each other, trying to outscore your jelly, you know what you got. You got shack floating points. You guys, it's Kobe 38. 78 points. And all of these big shot bob to hit a three and you know rob and Reagan do all that. So that's why most of the time when we got to the finals, you couldn't stop us. I know you were trying to get the Finals MVP. And so was I, but I miss them. I've never had Muslim communication with valley, but Washington home of Florida, daughters are beautiful. Beautiful, so I wish them well. But it wasn't going to be no bastion because again, our story is already well documented and people think they know the inside. I know the insight. The only thing you need to know to understand is we definitely have respect for each other because if we didn't, we wouldn't have been able to win three out of four. Hall of Famer Shaquille and here on the rich eisen show again, Shaq is airing tonight. You just mentioned moments ago that you made your summer home. Your permanent home because you were out in Los Angeles as much as you were after games in Orlando and so you just decided I'll just go to Los Angeles and I'll do it all at the same time. Do you think that that decision to use the phrase that your father said make decisions not choices? LeBron's still here. Do you think? Shaq. Well, obviously, yes. Listen everybody loves California, everybody loves to let go organization. LeBron did whether it was supposed to do. He got an air one one. We're all competitive. And all LeBron is saying, decorating market is near. I'm going to get that. Let me get another championship so I can time magic. Let me, you know, hopefully come down here one day after LeBron when you're down we're going to put your Jersey in the raptor. These are competitor and all afternoon should be competitors. People ask me should this season be about him breaking a record that I want to share with you the answer is hell yeah. I'm actually jealous. I wish I could be the guy that passed the claim of Deutsche bar. You know, to be the greatest score and NBA history of American Ohio, who never gets in trouble, always does the right thing plays the game the right way. People always say, LeBron is the password guy or if he's a first guy housing about the past three months in points. So I'm happy for LeBron. And when he gets a record, I'll be the first one to tweet in the first one congratulating. And then another story will start. Who's going to pass him up? How long is this thing going to spend? Because Colleen workers do it for how long rich 30 some years. That long. So LeBron, and then on the broad, he said she just said, he may play another year to get in the 41 42,000, which means nobody will ever break it again. Yeah, I know. The question is the other championship part of it that you just threw in there, you know? Clearly it doesn't look like that's going to happen this year. And they'll have to be building towards it. And when you add pop champagne shifts, it will just stay on the charts a little longer. You have four Giga four championship range. His book is just solidified as the bestseller. If you get 5, now you get to start to add another chapter. Who's really the greatest point guard from the Lake of history? Is it magic with 5? Is it Kobe with four or was it LeBron with 5, but just creates more stories and more barbershop top? So I'm happy for this brown and this AD's playing lights out. You gotta hurt last night, the only player coming in last night, but he's playing lights out at one 8 out of ten. There's another 11. And they're still in the 13 spot. However, they're only one two spots out of the 8 spot. So I'm sure they're going to get it going with Russell starting to slow down a little bit of get a goal. So I think they can move up to that number 7 number 6 5 if they can get some sort of consistency. Play really hard last night, but down in the midst of just came out of nowhere last night. He's really and they are playing really well Cleveland and the few minutes I have left with you. There are two 13 and 12 teams, the warriors and the nets. If you had a place your Shaquille O'Neal check mark against one of them that you think that they have the chance to go from 13 and 12 to the championship. What do you think? Who do you think? They have the blueprint, Steph Curry. My best player in the game on trademark does 80,000 and clay's been low up and down, but they have the blueprint.

"To that we are having technical difficulties. Those are the best furniture moving and some cameras flying. Controls with a person into that tree. Okay, so I guess it's only fitting that it was Kenny, it was only the jet who did that. Very good. Okay. Let's jump into your dock here. What do you think of as you watch a documentary on your life? We had the director Robert Alexander and studio a couple of weeks ago. He was fascinating and his perspective about putting this together. What are your thoughts on it? You know, Robert did a good job. I'm programmed to want something happens. You put it in the file and you move on. So he did a great job of asking me certain questions and bringing certain things out and helping me remember certain stories. I think you did a great job. I don't really get to show my vulnerability a lot. So a couple of times I'll show how vulnerable I am. I always like to show my thought process and how I thought I would have some people come to me and say, is it true if you lose a game in your chair so that's absolutely true. I wish I had the window contract in Beverly Hills number because me and him was on speed down. He'd be like Shaq already know you miss 12 out of 29 three dose, which window is the same kids you wouldn't know I'm more like, you know come on. Come on. I would like to go crazy 'cause I don't like to let people down. I don't like to let my family down. I don't like to let the city down. And you know how there's an NBA, like that's one games you can end up playing Utah, which you did in those years, and we got swept. But you end up playing San Antonio Sacramento, who I rather play. You know, it was interesting that during our championship years, we kind of stayed away from YouTube, but when I first got there, you told what was the only thing that would sweep us. So we kind of wanted to stay away from that, but so I didn't like let me do that. So now I feel like I let people out and I have to release that energy. So did you what footage have you seen from the dock where it's like, oh yeah, I forgot that happened. Anything like that? Mostly mostly all of it. You know, especially stories going up as a child. We were getting, you know, my problem was a drill sergeant. So when you do something, you get it done and then you move on. That's why every time I want to championship, I will have to come on the next day. Like we celebrate and do that, but I have to come home the next day. It was ritual. MVP football trophy and I had to give it to him and get back on a plane and he said, okay, have fun for the summer. Get ready, see if you can get another one. And that was it. Shaquille O'Neal here on the rich eisen show. There's an interesting part in tonight's episode Shaq that I saw where you're winning with Kobe and you're winning with the Lakers and you've got multiple rings now and three MVP awards from the NBA Finals in a row and then they cut to penny Hardaway. Your former magic teammate saying essentially he was jealous, saying that when he was watching you after leaving Orlando going to LA and do that, he said that should have been me. What did you think of when you hear when you hear that? And I believe that Kenny was Kobe was more Kobe. And a lot of people as great as Kobe was Kobe first two years. He had to get adjusted. Penny came in great. When petty came, I think we made some files that there's not that first year, the second year. Then he was great. I kind of felt this pain. And the business with basketball is a tricky thing to get the business the best of all. You got egos. I felt we could have definitely got one or two. I was telling the guys last night because they asked me, I said, I said, I was winning three in a row and all I know, I don't know because it's a system thing. The triangle is an intricate system that is not a lot of people understand. So as good as we were, it's a system made us even better. And Orlando, when you're running the traditional offense to floppy and the pick and roll and all that, a lot of things can go wrong when you run those tech options with the triangle. When you do something so consistent, it's kind of hard to stop. So again, I think Kenny and I could have got one or two, but so we're in a row. I don't know about that. And just seeing you, I mean, we have a photograph on the screen. I mean, just you, you're a baby, man, back in Orlando. You guys could have grown old together pretty much. You know? I've always tried to take advantage of opportunities. And I knew I was, you know, emerging as one of

He looked good and he was, he was talking a little smack about how a lot of state took care of Michigan for a while and I said, you know, hey, one was it could be a one off two's a trend. He goes, two is not a trend. He says, nine's a trend. He had a point. Nine's a trend. That's a pretty good pizza. I guess three's a crowd. It was a fun conversation. Shaquille O'Neal is calling in any moment right here on the rich eisen show in advance of his documentary tonight, having episode three of the Shaq documentary on HBO and HBO Max airing tonight. 8 four four two O four Richards. The number of doll here on this show, Kelly O coin, the actor who plays dollar bill from billions is here. He's playing a former clippers president in the Sterling chronicles that's being shot right now here in Los Angeles. It's crazy winning time in the Sterling chronicles are being shot at the same time here in LA. I don't O'Neill play Sterling in the same way, I guess. John C plays Jerry boss. I'm guessing in Ed's wardrobe. I don't know if we should even go there. You have to imagine I wonder if Jerry buss will appear in this because apparently they had a friendship. I don't know how far I don't know how far back chronicles go. I don't know. Kelly, when he's here an hour three. Apparently so. And the trailblazers who Kelly O'Connor doors are 13 and 11 in conference, which is what the Mavericks are after their one point went over the nuggets last night. That was a fun game to watch. On TNT. Well, they're all looking up at your Celtics, Chris. One of the Celtics going to remove the interim tag on Joe Missoula, winning 20 years. Not enough? That's been a little topic. In New England about that. I mean, it took one week of winning for Jacques Vaughn to get his interim tag removed in Brooklyn. I was doing a fantastic job clearly the guys that bought him in. Also just the Jays have taken it to another level this year when you thought, you know, maybe they weren't going to. And I thought they're the seas. Got it? It's been a rough go for the breakup the J's crowd. That's all I'm saying. Well, as you know, the whole business of somebody leaked the Kevin Durant to the Celtics for Jalen Brown stuff. When Durant was on the market back in the summer and I said that took that to mean like just lobbing a grenade into the Celtics locker room like chew on that one. Right. And. Nothing even awesome. Nothing was knocked off of the rails there. 20 and 5. They look really good. It's four of those losses. To each to the Cavs and bulls. Right, taking on the suns tonight. Yeah. So weird. Gonna be great. They're out here next week, looking forward to seeing them play the clippers and Lakers. Probably going to both games. Oh, you are. Yeah, it can be awesome. Fantastic. Okay. You're gonna go to the clipper game with TJ? No. Why not? I don't understand. It's never come up. Would you go to would you watch a game together? We have watched the game together. You have seen the Celtics and the type of play against each other? We watched the 20 hour World Series or 20 inning World Series game together. We did go to a rams game together once. That is true. Yeah, but your team and his team. Well, he's probably gonna go with me against each other. Also, I'm gonna actually buy really good seats, which TJ. Oh my goodness, gracious. That's a shot fired. Is he accusing you of not being open at that Velcro wallet of yours? He knows that I get, I have a tendency to get freed clippers tickets. So therefore. Also, he will his favorite team in the world was playing 8 minutes from his house and he didn't go. Dallas Cowboys. Right. So there's a big difference in getting it out of SoFi than getting out of the crypto though. Episode three of the four part HBO sports documentary Shaq airs tonight at 9 eastern on HBO and is available to stream on HBO Max. The one and the only Shaquille O'Neal here on the Mercedes Benz vans phone line to talk about. How are you doing check? How you been? So I'm so upset with your assistant there, buddy. Why? What happened? You heard me on fear, we don't hold for 30 seconds. That is not that is not acceptable. I'm going to talk to my people. How dare they? How dare they? 30 seconds. Are you kidding me? I apologize, mister O'Neill. On behalf of the entire rich eisen show community, I apologize. I'm great. How are you? I saw you got hip checked into a Christmas tree last night. Are you okay? Yeah. We like to have fun out there. Ernie was so concerned. He's like, oh, you heard us like Ernie, this is what I do. But believe it or not, when I was young before I wanted to be a basketball player, I wanted to be a stunt man. So I would always have trials and tribulations and teach myself how to fall and I would jump off buildings and climb monkey bars and fall off on purpose just to see. So, you know, the key is to when you get lost, try to land on the middle of your back. So if you go back to the video and slow it down. Yes. You can see that as soon as you push me, I had to turn to the back because I want my back to hit the Christmas tree. Oh, and a bunch of pies. A bunch of times, pine cones in the back. I ain't never heard nobody. Well, I guess, you know, it's a contact sport now officially when Kenny's going to the big screen. It's officially compact sport. So I think he's set the tone now, Shaq. Don't you think? That's a tone setter moment. He did that a long time ago and they got me last night. But look, can you so small and we'd like to have fun? I wouldn't return it. If Charles would have did that? They would have had to go to that we are having technical difficulties. Those are the best furniture moving and some cameras

One day in pads, happy where things are going right now. We're going to win the Super Bowl. He should have responded. Yeah. Of course I'm happy. We haven't told my face yet for you. Would you like to tell my face? Fantastic. Crazy. You know, and truly, truly, I think that's what it is. If you ask him the right question, he's going to. You know what I mean? He'll expound on it. People have learned. He's accused of hating the media and again, I haven't been on the beat, so I haven't been there day in and day out. But, you know, he makes himself available to the media quite a bit. Oh, yeah. He talks multiple times. He's like, he does a Monday, Tuesday, anyway. He does, he speaks. Because he wants to give folks like you, all the information that's required if the proper question is asked. You gotta ask him. I think personally, I think he is happy with the way the camp is going so far. I think so too. Mac is going to be knock, Andre. If Parker is stronger, that's your guy, right, TJ? "A moment. Let's go to Tim in Ohio, take his phone call. What's up, Tim? You're calling in about the live tour. What's on your mind? Yeah. Just curious, I get a lot of people saying that they're not growing the game. They're, I think that in a way that they are growing the game because these people, the golfers are independent contractors. They're paying their own expenses. So if you're Dustin Johnson, you're paying through your brother's compelling. You're paying for your own health insurance. I work in sales. Let's say everyone on the rich eisen show decided that you were going to make them independent contractors and they had to perform in order and they got to pay their own lengths on the health insurance standpoint. So there is something to be said there. And Manchester City is owned by the Saudi government in the English Premier League. No, and I totally get that. Let me just say this, Tim, and I appreciate you calling in to lend perspective about how the economics work. I am 1000% up for watching a live tour golf event. And seeing these players compete. I'd be totally up for it. I don't like the format to be honest with you. I don't like 54 holes. Clearly agree. I don't like the shotgun start. Call me a traditionalist. I think it should be four rounds. I think there should be a cut. I think that's the way it should go that not everybody gets money for competing. I would totally be up for watching that. But to me, the approach that many of the players have taken, and that Norman is taken. And it turns me off. It's essentially telling me we don't need you. We don't want you. We don't need you. We got all these players and eventually you'll come around and the PGA Tour is going to have to come around because we're here to stay and go, you know, I don't care what you have to think. I don't care what you have to say. It says Greg Norman. I mean, that's not really great customer service, is it? You know? I don't think that I don't think the PGA is doing great customer service. So I play a lot of the goals. I'm sorry, I lost you there, Tim. Say that again? Ah man, I want to hear his other put him on hold. I wanted to hear his very viewpoint. What's the PGA Tour's not doing great customer services? What he said? I'm wondering what do you think he was responding to that? I couldn't see where he was going though. All right, you want to pop them back on to see if because again, I just want to. Yeah. Okay, so you were saying you don't think the PGA is doing great customer service? How? What do you mean by that? Because they're making it so hard to qualify. If I'm a pretty good golfer and I want to get on the court, they eliminate a Q school for the PGA Tour. So now my options are to go play on the corn ferry tour, which if you look it up, the deadline yesterday for the first round of falling was $3500 to play in the event. Every event that you progress, the money to qualify those up. So at the end of the day, to qualify for the PGA Tour cost you posted $15,000. So I think the growing the game from an employee standpoint and PGA Tour is obviously reacting to that saying, we're going to raise the purse. They should not treat them as employees from a contractual standpoint if we're going to require you to play X number of events, then they have to sort of say, all right, we're going to take care of your caddy. We're going to take care of everything I've heard from these golfers and everyone involved with it is that that's the reason the health insurance is the caddies getting taken care of. Right. Mark Hubbard told us, and thanks for the call. Mark hover told us that when he makes when he makes an event, the child care is a significant aspect of his, the PGA Tour provides all of that. I'm just saying, I would love to watch all of these guys compete against one another. I just don't like the format and I don't feel like the welcome mat is out. For me, you know what I mean? I just don't. But it just seems not going away. There's a certain type of golfer with a certain personality that's joining the live tour and those guys aren't for me. I enjoy watching the regular PGA Tour every week. With guys and stories like Tony finau. 8 four four two O four rich number to dial. We've got Dalvin cook coming up right here on the rich eisen show. "Bowl wide receiver. Promo wide receiver. I don't know what music this was. Terrible wheel music. Terrible wheel music. Thanks, guys. Would you like to, what would you like to do? You would like to guess a letter or do you want to buy vowel? The vowels already bought, okay? Oh, it's a no. Yes, yes. On the board. Then the letter that comes after a and before C okay? There's a B and there's a couple of these letters in my name. Ah. Jay. I know. Yes. Long way to go. All right, that did take a minute. If I'm Jerry Jones, I am sniveling. To one Odell Beckham junior and say, how are you feeling, man? I mean, obviously, he's not going to be ready till mid season. Good enough. Fuller, Emmanuel Sanders, bring Cole Beasley back. Do some guys out there. TY Hilton's avello? Yeah. Yeah. But I put on Twitter. I'm like, we might as well sign OBJ or Desean Jackson if for no other reason than to avoid that four for one 60 and two touchdowns that they're going to put on this if they happen to play us this year because every year we play those guys just destroy us. So might as well sign one. Cover what you see every day I heard on The Silence of the Lambs. So we should put the Odell Beckham junior in the basket right now. Do it now. Why not? But I mean, I don't know whether it would cost. I don't know if he's even interested, but Juan Soto's going to the Padres, guys. Sorry, TJ, another boy. You know you were counting on him for the mets. Massive prospect hall for the national. Some really good players in there. What do you got? But not Eric Hosmer. Eric Hosmer was originally in this trade. He was, he was prepared to be named later. He reminded he said, check the fine print. I have a no trade clause and specifically to Washington. How do you think nationals fans are feeling right now? I mean, think about it a few years ago, they had Trey Turner, Bryce Harper, Juan Soto Anthony Rendon. And Rendon and Max Scherzer. They won a World Series. Without Harper, but yes. They needed Howie Kendrick. Actually, you know, it's a pretty ironic Juan Soto's last home run as a member of the Washington Nationals came off of Max Scherzer. Kind of weird. In the deals, Mackenzie gore, left handed pitcher, they just paid, and then prospects Robert hassel, CJ Abrams, James wood, apparently just James wood. James wood. Apparently he's according to one of the big time players. That's the one. Yeah. Big time outfield there are a lot of power. That's the one. I'm being told. Yeah, you're correct. He's a Willie mccovey type is what I saw. That's high praise. Tatis took batting practice yesterday for the first time in a long time, so he's on his way back. Obviously that was going to put Soto 5th to protect. And lead off for second. I think. He's going to get on. Yeah, and then let tatis and Machado and bell bring him home. And cronin worth didn't move and pro farted move and they still have hostile still there. Holy crap. There were thousands in the lineup too. There are World Series odds cut in half after the trade. What were they? They were about 20 two, 20 to one. Now they're ten to one. Can I see the wildcard standings as they currently do we have that? I want to see it. Because the ship has sailed on the division, correct? Correct. Well, the ship has sailed on the division. It doesn't matter if the Padres win every last damn game. They're 12 back. The Dodgers still have to still need another team in front of you to collapse. And that's one thing that Dodgers aren't going to do is collapse. Most likely not. Okay. So the wildcard standings right now, the brewers would play the Phillies and the braves would play the Padres. The defending world champion braves. Would take on this Padres team that has Soto leading off what cronenworth would sit there second, right? To set the table for tatis and maybe only cron worth weeds off and then just go Soto tatis Machado bell right in a row. Two, three, four, 5. Wow. And what you got Darvish and musgrove and now hater on the back end of the pen? Boy found the braves I want to win that division. I don't want any piece of that team in the first round. None of it. None of it. None of it. And if I'm the metropolitan's, I am not drop. I am not losing that lead because now you suddenly got the Padres coming to town. The first round? Short series? Padres Dodgers games. Here we go. Oh, we got a little surprise coming today. What's a surprise? You don't know? What is it? Oh, you didn't know the goat is back to night baby. Oh yeah, degrom. The Grom season debut. Let's go. Hey. Look at teachers. Okay. All right. Over under our number of innings before de gram feels a tug. Is that 6 innings? The third two and a half. 6 and a third. He's on a 5 inning limit. I would imagine. Okay, so Chris, when you have 9 pitches and inning, who do the match play tonight? Who? The national self internationals. Oh, God. So de gramp 5. 5 innings. 5 innings. 15 batters over under on strikeouts. 9. Oh, that's a little high. That's hot. Let's put it. Over. I mean, look, he could mow them all down, you know? But I could say 5. 5 is probably good. The Grom season debut here we roll. Well, buddy, let me tell you something. And what's the mets lead in the division right now? It's two? Two. We have 12 games left with the braves. We've got a 5 game series coming up as Stewart Scott used to call it the expanded thin de

The SS 12 system works quite well. You know, I was just sitting there thinking about Shaq and just how truly dominant in the early 2000s he was. And it was just that Lakers run. I mean, you know, I was angry every year, because the Lakers were winning, but man that man was unguardable. There was nothing. I know. You could do this. It was amazing. Well, how about him saying that Russell was the first pig that was old school big man that was nice to me. Well, you know the story always was the way Shaq told it that when he was a teenager he had met David Robinson and he said that David wasn't that nice to him. So it kind of carried over and he said, every time I played David Robinson, I tried to put him through the hoop, so to speak. So I mean for him. He's definitely said that, man. But if we put up that photograph from the Hall of Fame when they went in, the class went in and there was Bill Russell to welcome them in there. With Karim, they were all on the they were over there. David and Kareem's on the stage. I mean, it's definitely 6 of the ten greatest centers of all time. Look at that. That's Zelle right there, laughing his ass off, right? Yep. Wow. Bill Russell. Look at that. We got to get Barkley on to tell the story about a Russell flipping them off, right? Remember that happened? Yeah. Was that during the espys? Was that what it was? I think it was, yes. "I know he's going to do the right thing, but that's a good recommendation rich and that you should put that out, but I would say yeah. But more success. Yeah, that everyone who wears it now gets to wear it for the rest of their career. LeBron being the perfect example of that right here in Los Angeles and then when everyone else is done with 6, that's it. And we put the banner in the rafters everywhere, every arena and the NBA, Bill Russell 6 hangs. I think that should be great. You should open up rich eisen law firms. That was a very nice report that you just throw in there for you guys. Great job, Richard. Yes, my guy. My guy LeBron. That's how I refer to them all the time. Well, I mean, he's the most famous number 6. That's why I throw it out there. But I like that loophole. Yeah. Okay. All right. Shaquille O'Neal with the check mark right there here on the rich eisen show. Before I let you go in your day a couple of questions for you on the current NBA. If you were the Celtics, would you trade for Durant? Would you cough up Jalen Brown and others for Durant right now? No. Not at all. You have a young nucleus that we can build and we can trust people. And I don't know what everybody else was watching, but Jalen was hanging for itself with that. Look like that to me. So, no, that's just no. That answer is no, then. The answer is hell no. I think that is a bigger level than just no. Well, I mean, because Durant is still Durant, right? I mean, that's why and Jalen and Jada have his way with the rat down the playoffs. You joke, I see that. I did see what the Celtics did to the nets, but the units obviously were a bit of a mess. So I'm good. What do you think is up there with Durant in Brooklyn where he asked out two days after kairi said he's opting in? What do you think? Shaquille is happy. And these young young women are young. I wish I could jump into the mind, but not fairly saying to you, you know, he's going to have to do what he's going to have to do to make his career successful. It's pretty successful now to establish a brand with it. He's looking for a margarita. He probably got tired of all the extracurricular media activities that Kyrie was bringing. And we'll have to deal with that. If I have all that speculative, but I don't know. Right. And so where do you think Durant would be best served? Do you think it would be for him to stay put? Or which team do you think should go ahead and offer the package for you? When you put a house together, you should live in it. You know, you as the one who hired the architect is one who got the other architecture and Philadelphia. So you as a leadership make it work, but you don't want to make it work, but you should go buy another house. So I know he's going to probably try to get to a contender. It's easier that way. Shaquille O'Neal here on the Richards and shell. All right, what's going on in your world these days? Where you're here in LA, you said, what's going on? What's happening in the world of Shaquille O'Neal? I was eating some hot pancakes until your guy called me. Okay. All my pancakes are called rich. I imagine you can afford to make new pancakes though, right? I don't know what new pancakes rich. I want the ones that I ordered for breakfast. My apologies on the pancake. I guess you got to get some pancakes cold to make an omelet. I don't know what the hell I'm saying, but at least you could do that. Yeah. The cowboys will win the Super Bowl this year or I will walk butt naked down the one on one for one exit. I think years ago Shaq said that the cowboys were going to win it and you dress as a cheerleader or something like that. I did. I don't think we haven't seen that. From like, what? Like cold water to Laurel. It's just one mile. I mean, what stretch of the one O one are we talking about here? What do we got? What are we going? You know what's crazy? What? I was getting ready to say from cold water, jalari. Mine's great minds. Great mind Shaquille. Great minds, man. It's just one mile. It's one mile butt naked for one mile. Okay. And before you let you go to your pancakes, you happy that Charles didn't make the move. You're happy about that? You got some Charles with my best friend and whatever he was decide I would have been happy for him. But I would have missed you guys together. I would have missed you guys. There's some Charles was also one of the great players that didn't have the chance to make tremendous amount of money, so. And that was a lot of controversy with the money and the organization and all that, but anytime we got and get 50 to 70 million at 55 6 years old, I wouldn't have wanted him to take it up and dig in a job, but he's going to be back with us, so we're going to have another great year, we're going to argue and we're going to fight. One day I'm going to just reach across an early and put Charles right in his face. Well, I mean, Kenny's Kenny's sitting there too. Is that when you're going to figure out what the price of gas is? Shaquille is what you're talking about when you're talking about the price of gas? Money for gas. About filling. So you still fill up half a tank. Is that what you're saying at the half tank? That's when you fill up. That's what you got. Okay. All the time. Makes sense. I'm with you. I'm team Shaq. I'm paying. All right, take care of yourself, Shaquille. Thank you for the time. Go back to your pancakes and I hope for your sake that the one O one from Laurel to cold water or vice versa stays Shaq free

"Eisen show on the Mercedes Benz vans homeline is my buddy Shaquille O'Neal. How are you doing check? How are you? Can you hear me? I can hear you like you're sitting next to me almost. That's how I can. I am the same city as you are, sir. I'd love it. The city of angels, I love it. All right, Shaq, let me just jump into it. When you think of Bill Russell, you think of what? What do you think? Top two greatest big men ever. We have a nicest gentleman ever. I learned from him. He made me realize I was a spoiled brat, and I was complaining. What I mean by that, when I first met Bill Russell, I drove Googly and you started telling me stories, stories I had no idea of like, could stay in the same hotel to teammates and people throwing things at you and death threats and this and that. That was almost our component because it was for guys like him and real training and for him. They paved the way for me. Marketing knows that his magic, they paved the way for me to make a lot of money. So by listening to all the stories that mister Bill Russell told me, I just said, stop comparing it. I'm complaining about it. I don't say nothing. Because of what all these people have to go through and he was the first legendary big man that was nice to me. Didn't say much wilder than say much and then on that mister Russell as a hug and sit down and I did this and had the dad I like this and I like that he was the nicest guy I've ever met in my life. Really? So what we're seeing, I guess at an awards show of Bill Russell at the microphone and there you are flanked by what looks like David Robinson and was at Zoe matombo and Kareem on the stage and there you are and he was just he was a funny guy too, Bill Russell, right? The photograph you're speaking of, I think that was at the Hall of Fame. And you know, to have him at our Hall of Fame, it was like, it was like, wow, because I know doctor Jay was my guy. And he was the only one I really paid attention to. But when I started getting told I'm a father pulled me outside and said, he just kept mentioning three lanes. Every time what else that? You only need to play defense like Bill Russell. You need to get up, you know, unstoppable movement like Selena Dubai. You need to be the most powerful big guy like world champion. I just kept hearing those names and then when I finally decided to do my own research, I was like, oh, I wish I could be as good as these guys. Like, you know, like when you're a kid and you're okay, you look at the guys that are apex of their career and you realize you're not even close sometimes to get you a little discouraged. I was like, I don't know, Dan. I don't think I could be as good as these guys. But then when I was coming in, I was starting to gain confidence. And I made a call on that. I told my agent led up now about our I want to do a commercial. We're all the greatest big men inside this plasma portal thing. I know I'm coming. And what I'm coming for, I want to be recognized as them when I'm done playing. So he made the call with all the grace and they all accepted. I was like, oh my God. And I got to meet the greatest big ass ever and one day on commercial shoot. That was a don't think of that she got commercial shit correct. Was there what was there? Bill Russell was there, Bill walker was there and the legendary John Wooden was also there. That was like one of my one of my greatest days. But mister Russell, he will definitely do this. You are correct. He was a flooded guy. He was a nice guy. And he just told me so many stories and he was definitely going to be messed with the great Shaquille O'Neal here on the rich eisen show. And you said you stopped complaining and you realized that you were spoiled when you talked to Bill Russell and you heard about all the moments he had to deal with racism and hatred being thrown at him. Even in his own home, when people broke in when he was gone out of the city that he brought so many championships to, did he, when he was talking to you about his experiences, did he tell you, hey, you're complaining too much? Or are you just glean that on your own? I just realized it. Look, we are telling you, you can see the title of a book. Oh, he's a great player. Best player ever, but then when you open the book, you're like, oh my God, he had to go through all this. So this is like the first time I met him when he was sitting there and he's I think he's at the four season. He was just drinking water and he was just telling me stories. I didn't get the total workout. He was just and he was happily telling me story that I'm like damn. Y'all didn't travel private. You didn't get to stay in the hotel. Every hotel I went to and I had to have the biggest sweet rich. It's just how I love him. He was like, man, we had to stay out of the hotels. We couldn't drink water out the waterfront. And I actually felt bad. And these guys are the greatest players ever and they didn't even make one fourth of the money that we made. So I decided to also, okay, I'm gonna start complaining. And I'm gonna play it hard for these guys. I'm gonna let them well, thank you. I appreciate your and, you know, whatever you need. So nobody had to tell me. I was small enough in consciousness when I was to realize that, hey, your spoiled breath. You know, even that good yet, it gets worse every year in the playoffs, shut your face up, take your game up and start one in generals. Shaquille O'Neal here on the rich eisen show. So when was the last time you saw Bill Russell? Jack. Remember? I know it was an awesome game, but I'm not sure. Could have been the 75th anniversary moment. Exactly. And I imagine him walking in the room would be at the pro football Hall of Fame. I've gotten to see how the players knew Hall of Famers and also older Hall of Famers, certainly the running backs felt when Jim Brown walked in the room. It was mister Brown that this is the goat. Everybody was deferential to him on the spot. I imagine it's the same thing with big men and Russell as well. And those things. I get tickled when people say the best big men in the game. I will never be as good as the top three. I'm close, we'll never be as good. Bill has 11 championships. When you have 6, what was the most dominant player ever? I'm happy with the fact that I can be mentioned in the same breath because you know I'm happy. Is it 19 years old, a drill sergeant took me on a basketball court and said, you can be exactly like those two guys. And I believe them, and I listen to them. And it's here. That doesn't matter to me, I'll show you the other ones I'll mention with those guys. Trust me. I'm more than happy. Bill Russell, the world and three greatest big guys ever in the history of never anybody as close to them. Especially the way the game has involved now. Never be another trio like that. No, I probably know the answer to it but I'll ask it anyway. Do you think the association do you think the NBA should retire number 6 forever more similar to the way that baseball retired from? I will say yes and Adam silver is a fine gentleman.

Doesn't just travel you wherever you go and you guys would know the viewers think of your favorite hollywood actor throw the big names denzel washington right brad pitt throughout some big names jennifer aniston if they go over to boxing. Are you going to come with them. Just because you're just ask yourself that question and they'll be part. Yeah i would go watch you. Might you might go watch them once. But you're not gonna just come with them and we've seen this tested both ways. We've seen people in the boxing world roy jones junior. Who's a big and meaningful name within the box and thought he could parlay that into rap. I think if memory serves me right even shaquille o'neal try doing some level of music and entertainment to get those fans to come with you no matter where you go your youtube star but you transition those fans and you pivot over to boxing. That does not just happen. Because you have twenty million followers. There is an art to that. That's where jake. Paul should get the credit his ability to bring people along the journey. That is jake. Paul's life and for them to not care. What genre you're going into. That is an art. Like no other. If you wanna go study jake paul. That's what you want to
Amazon Alexa Gets New Voices, Including Actors Melissa McCarthy and Samuel L. Jackson
"This month. Alexa is going to sound a little bit. Different on july fifteenth the tech giant rolled out an update to its digital voice assistant to include a second voice option. As you know amazon's assistant typically has like a feminine sounding voice with this update. You can change that to a more masculine voice setting this all up his quite simple. You just say the assistant's name followed by quote. Change your voice and quote but that's not all there's an additional wake word you can use in place of alexa. That new word is ziggy Basically it works the same way instead of saying the primary name of amazon's digital assistant You can say ziggy instead. If you're a fan of gigi and you've never tried to swap out the wake word and you kind of want to try it out. Anyway you have some other choices to You can use amazon. You can use echo or you can use computer And the way to do this is really simple. Just like with the change. Your voice option. You can make a query to the assistant and say change the wake word to whatever you want Another way to do this too is open up the app for the voice assistant go to the menu. Select your settings than device settings. Then you go to the device that you want to update with this new wake word and then you choose the when you want and that's it now if you don't want either of these options for voices you can actually add a little bit of celebrity flare After introducing an option awhile. Back to add actor. Samuel jackson's voice to queries amazon is much similar offerings featuring actress melissa mccarthy an nba legend shaquille. O'neal so the way it works is you kind of ask them directly as you would amazon's digital assistance. You might say hey shack. Tell me about the weather. Hey samuel Tell me about the news today. And it works exactly the same way and they will read everything in
I've Hired Several Coaches, but No Improvements. What's Wrong With Me?
"Hey i've hired three business coaches. They've all felt like a waste of time and money. And i haven't seen any improvements what's going on. There's something wrong with me. My doing this wrong. what's happening. Well i want to answer this question to make sure i also address. Everybody was listening. That my have a similar question thinking about hiring a coach or have higher coach. Maybe didn't see the results are looking for on a star by saying i have gone through this several times. I've hired coaches have a lot of experience. And not all. My experiences with coaches have been the same. I i have to say a quick If you have a coach if you hire a coach and they give you instructions if they give you a action items to do a plan and you don't implement you actually do the work it doesn't matter. What kind of coach you have. You have to actually follow through. So i know this kind of obvious but a lot of people i've met along the way have hired coaches and ask them. How's it working out like not so great as it will. What does the coach advising you to do. All of they're telling me to do xyz. We'll have you done xyz and they're like a not really not sure. If i should and that really is the biggest red flag for me when it comes to hiring a coach. Don't go down the road of hiring a coach if you're don't a hundred percent trust this coach and believe what they say you should do is worth doing because the whole point of hiring coaches saying. Hey i'm allowing somebody else to advise me on how to move forward. And i'm willing to do what i need to do to make. It happen very similar in sports. You know one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time is phil jackson. He coached michael. Jordan scottie pippen but he also coached the lay kobe bryant shaquille o'neal a lotta great players but these players would not be great would not achieve their level of excellence if they didn't allow themselves to be coached if they allow themselves to follow through. And do what the coaches asking them to do.
Why 'The Inside Story' Is so Great
"There's a series I've been watching. It's played before. It's called the inside story. It's about inside the NBA that great series with Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny the jet Smith and Charles Barkley and Ernie Johnson. Great show, it's the best sports panel show of all time. And it's now it's in the broadcasting and television Hall of Fame because it's just so perfect. They were perfect without Shaq and they added Shaq they're in better now. It's a dynasty and it makes me laugh every fucking week. It's on. It's like that largely because executives didn't fuck with the talent. They just let them be who they are because they knew they were good at it.
Are Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz True Contenders?
"So tony. Let's start this story during last year's playoffs done mitchell and jamal murray have this epic battle in the nba. Bubble shot clock down to four. Mitchell has millsaps. Automobile three took three and returns the staredown ton of matchel clutch. Three pointer for the jazz. Eventually mitchell jazz fall in dramatic fashion a game. Seven two seconds ago for the winter. Tell us about donovan. Mitchell after that loss of known donovan. Pretty well in the four years. He's been with the johnson. I don't think i've seen him data emotional in the post game. There's so many things. I just feel like we could did and we didn't and i think that's just where the hurt really comes because quite frankly i don't i give them credit but i feel like we kind of eased off the gas. You have to remember the jazz at a be in the second half of game five which was supposed to be oppose out game for them to do more and this won't happen again is extremely down and he just basically said. We're not losing in the first round of the playoffs anymore. This ain't the end. This ain't this is just the beginning man. This is just the just the beginning. And i'm ready to go. Who begin right now and so once. The cameras were gone and donovan. Mitchell was back home in utah. How how did he spend. This off. season is funny. Because i talked to somebody close to donovan mitchell about this a couple of weeks ago and one thing he said was donovan was on the phone with people like literally. You know two or three days after the season Sam less workout. You know the thing about donovan. He's a guy that goes out and he works on his craft resolutely. And you know. I think that not only. Did he work on his craft during the offseason but after that the rest of the jazz from person one person fifteen worked on their craft under all season as well. Well let's bring it forward to this year. How did mitchell in the jazz start off. The current season they started off on four and with two really bad losses unforced turnover passing out an equal. Don't runaway league beasley. They lost the minnesota timberwolves at home. In the second game of the season they will blown out and outclassed in brooklyn nets team did james harden because they hadn't traded for them and they didn't have durant is everywhere. Count it at one but rudy rudy. Did show back up on the screen and brooklyn's play it with alan at the energy so basically re irving at a bunch of role players that blasted the jazz in new york. You know jazz nation on the fan base was kind of going crazy. The jazz a couple of games where they look like world-beater. They had a couple of games where they look really back. And tony. I wanted to ask you about this moment. That happened on live television a few weeks ago. That was really widely discussed. It started at halftime of jazz. Pelicans game when the tnt broadcast crew was discussing the game. My question to the panel. Donovan mitchell is that the point of superstardom where he can take you there. Or he's still all star status. He needs to be so go. Third option really. Yes yeah i feel like it. No talent to do it. He's a great score. Grew there but if he's not score. What else can you do. And when the game ended shack starts interviewing donovan mitchell. Who's still on the court right after the jazz victory. Yeah and he says. I said tonight. That you are one of my favorite players. But you don't have what it takes to get to the next level as central purpose on wednesday to hear what you have to say about that. I that's it i mean. What were your thoughts when you first saw that exchange so the irony of the whole thing is that the actual conversation was fair. That part of the conversation that happened at halftime that part was fair. We know the donovan. Vigil is a dynamic offensive player. We know that he is a star. We know that he is an all star. Caliber guy for him to be a superstar. He has to round out his game and do everything he's got to defend. He's got a rebound. These got make plays for others. What wasn't fair is shaquille. O'neal saying hey. I don't think that you have what it takes to get to the next level as a player. And i just wanted you to hear that. What's your reaction. And i felt bad for about donovan. Because he was really dominant in that went over to pelicans he didn't deserve to be blindsided like up on live television and frankly he handled it as about as well as you handle something like that. My rookie year norms gonna get better mood. I do wonder cuba. The look on his face. Kind of indicated that he wasn't happy you know about the question but at the same time he's always been a person that knows how to express himself. I think he's a guy that's kinda. Learn how to lockout the proverbial outside noise and kind of focus on what he has to do and i think a desk one of the reasons why he's improved so much as a player.
SPACs: The Backwards IPO That's Taking Over Wall Street
"The hottest trend on wall street. This year is a spec. That's spelled s. p. a. c. constantly house backs backs best back frenzies. Back actions back is the new black former house speaker. Paul ryan's got us back. Shaquille o'neal's got us back and the youngest self made billionaire ever just brought in all that cash through a spec. What the heck is a spec will let. Npr's camilla Explained in an ipo or initial public offering. You start with a company that wants to go public and then investors toss a bunch of money at it. A spat or special purpose acquisition company kind of flips that around investors pool. Their money together. I with no idea what company they're investing in then. That pile of money goes out and looks for a company to merge with the company gets the money and the stock ticker with a lot less paperwork until recently this was not a well regarded way to go public. They have this sort of shady origin. Story right rodriguez is a professor at the university of georgia school of law. There are these blank check. Companies really had a bad reputation a lot of blank check. Companies were outright frauds. So the federal government. Crackdown suspects added more safeguards to the blank check model like investors can get their money back if they don't approve of the company that gets picked but they were still on the fringes of the financial world until now and probably done one or two huge back combinations a year for the last five years until this year and then i would say the of the market just exploded. Sarah morgan is a lawyer. With the firm. Vincent in elkins specs today over fifty percent of my practice this year. Why now well if you look past the bad reputation specs have some real advantages there. Faster than ipo's and have less uncertainty for founders. Both attractive during this really uncertain year. Austin russell is the ceo of luminary a company. That makes lighter. That's like radar but with lasers it's used in self driving vehicles. He founded the company as a teenager. Now he's got contracts with companies like volvo. It was time to go public and he saw the appeal of a spec. You've got the process end to end and in a like four months as opposed to having to spend huge time distraction for the better part of a year or two and he'd seen several well respected companies. Do it i. it's pretty cool. His spac merger earlier this month made him at twenty five forbes's youngest self made bilionaire. Today's specs have clear benefits for founders. Like russell who can go public with less paperwork they can also mean big bucks for the sponsors who organize them in fact sponsors make so much money if they close a deal that some critics worry. There's an incentive to merge with a mediocre company just to get that payday and that raises a big question whether this spac craze will be good for investors shiver drita says the risks are real because the flip side of making things easier for companies is inevitably that the risk of fraud to investors goes up. I don't know anyway to square that circle some of the sears specs have performed badly on the stock market and others have raised bigger concerns after zero emission truckmaker. Nikola went public through respect. It was accused of fraud which the company denies despite the skeptics the spectacular rise in specs shows no sign of fading away camilo domino npr news.
New Adam Sandler Halloween Movie on Netflix
"I, guess sort of mixed reactions in mixed recommendations from me but Brad let's move to you. What have you been watching? I watched another hitchcock remake Huby. Halloween. How many I saw the original but this one is a steep departure. From that. No. This is the new Adam Sandler movie that's on Netflix's Halloween themed obviously, and I went out of my way to watch it because some people including an article that we published on slash home dot com. I don't remember who who wrote it and forcing them. Sir Jacob can tell me here in a second, but they actually said that this movie was funny. And I just WANNA say? No, it's not. I I will say I did laugh a few times during this movie. There are some some funny recurring bits and just a few things that I was surprised just funny jokes that suddenly caught me off guard. But this is just another weird movie were Adam. Sandler puts on a goofy voice and this is one of the voices where you can barely understand what he's saying to because he's mumbling all the time. And it's just has such a weird story and it has these tangents that don't ask anything that don't make any sense like. Shaquille O'Neal's part in particular. Felt like it was super shoehorned. into the proceedings and then. You know you have Julie Garner's character who is yet another woman who is inexplicably infatuated with one sandler's dimwitted goofball characters and I just I don't know how or like. Adam. Sandler his point and like why he's been stuck here for so long 'cause I had also recently rewatch the wedding singer went to talked about in the quarantine stream and recently big daddy because I found out that my parents had never seen and I love both of those movies and they are genuinely hilarious not even just funny by. Adam Sandler movie standards. They're very good comedies and just movies like Cuba Halloween in Sandy Wexler which Steven Brill also directed there. So far, and away you know the kind of comedy that Adam Sandler used to be able to make used to have like characters that were fleshed out and felt real while also being funny and like not just these goofy characters and that's not to say that you can't have comedies that have outlandish characters in them. But whatever Adam Sandler is doing with these kinds

Does Influencer Marketing Work
"Does having your business or brand promoted by a celebrity by influencer by tastes meagre in your market really work does it do more than just awareness as actually convert into actual sales? That's what we get into in today's episode. The first thing on a mention is that influence their marketing has levels. Okay. Now, everybody is going to be able to afford to use Shaquille O'Neal's influencers or Kardashian or the rock for that matter. Okay. But for most businesses, you don't need these big celebrities. You don't need these big names will you actually need is somebody who has a following? The has an audience that would be perfect for your products and services somebody who's really need. But has raving fans, I'll give you some examples. Pat Flynn is considered a influencer in the blogging community, the online business community. The content marketing community converted is a email marketing service for creators for bloggers. So pat is a big deal in that space. So when PAT promotes converted, it's going to move a lot of business because. I actually love what he says love what he does and they'll do a he recommends. So if he promotes convert it to his email emails on instagram on a social profiles does a Webinar that's a perfect match for converted. They're actually GONNA make more sales from Pat Flynn whose only known in that community. Then let's say a B. Actor who's well known but maybe doesn't have the following in that space. There's a cycled CAMEO DOT COM. The has celebrities that are well known household names that are willing to give shout outs and some people even endorsed businesses. Now, this might look. Cool and seem nice and maybe ego boost for your business. But it's probably not gonNA move a lot of sales because Kevin from the office is really not the authority in your niche market is not somebody people really trust in terms of a recommendation it's kind of cool thing to have, but it's not really gonNA move sales. So I really want to impress upon you today is you wanna find celebrities in your niche in your market who are the people that have the biggest following who is the biggest name in your niche if you're in the swimming niche WHO's the biggest? Swimming coach that everybody knows about in your country if you're into snowboarding who is a big snowboarder that is on youtube though has a following that people watch. You don't have to go with the household names, but the names that are known in your niche are really powerful because they can really really influence their audience to buy your product. So how does this all work? Well, I recommend when it comes to an agreement with an influencer is do a combination of a guarantee minimum plus commission. This allows them to have some skin in the game and want to push your product and. Promote it and recommend it and use it and give a testimony. So something like this would be like You know you're gonNA share this on your email list you're going to do a Webinar with me and you're GonNa you know post this on your social profiles, three times in one week and We're GONNA pay you. Let's say ten thousand dollars. Now this is just a figure I just pull out of my head. This is something that you can negotiate. It also depends on the following but in addition to the ten thousand dollars you WanNa say, Hey, use an affiliate link. Here's the link and you're going to get twenty percents on all sales. Again the percentage pulled out of my head. You can come up with the number of that's right for your business. But the point here is that they get a combination of cash upfront for doing what they do or even still fifty, fifty, five, grand five grand. In this example, you know five star five after the WHO fills obligations, and then they get the ongoing commission for any sales they get. So they can continue to promote you beyond the minimum commitment and they become sort of a partner with you.
NBA teams kneel during national anthem as season restarts
"Night, the embassy isn't got underway. And of course, there was a lot of attention being brought to what would happen during the national anthem. There were two games last night, and everybody kneels every single player, every single coach, even the officials. They all take a knee for solidarity with the national anthem. So I was curious as to what the broadcasters of the game on TNT, Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley had to say, kind of surprising, actually, listen to Charles Barkley's response here. You're going to hear from shack first and then Charles Barkley type of God. They say you should do is you should do that. Everyone has their own platform. You know they're on their own brand. I'm proud of every one. And my thing is Listen. That's not the mean different things to different people. I'm glad these guys all unified where the people people don't kneel. You're not a bad person. I want to make that perfectly clear. I'm glad they had unity. But if we have a guy who doesn't want to kneel called the After me some to him, he should not be vilified. Listen

Where Michael Jordan's Coming From
"I do are you. I'm sad this is almost over. Are you sad? I am sad. Because I'm so happy that the powers powers-that-be be rust documentary so instead of coming out in June came on April gave us some content especially on Sunday night making popcorn. I'm warming up hot sake like I turned into a whole thing. Jalen rose played thirteen seasons in the NBA. And he's also the cohost Jalen and Jacoby last dance after show podcast first off. I'm like instead of doing two per night. We should have just did one night. We had in Sundays so now. I'm like maybe we need to Craig Hodges ever sell. He'd be happy about that. So yeah I'm a little sad. This Sunday is going to be the last one popcorn and sake an air yes indeed school on Moran Bacher so I haven't seen the last two episodes but I have a sense. Probably GonNa Start with a ninety eight Eastern Conference Finals Course Bowls Pacers Jalen. You're there how do you remember feeling about your team's chances headed into that series against Chicago? So the unique thing about an athlete is that you have to have something that I call a rational confidence. I've sat in the locker room multiple days of my life and said that I was better than Michael Jordan. Kobe Bryant Shaquille O'Neal. Tim Duncan none of them could guard me. None of them had a chance. That's what you have to tell yourself or you might as well not put on shorts and the shoes and you know that you're the underdog and you're going against all time greatness so for us. We wanted to end the height. We wanted to shut up. All of the Jordan stands so on the floor. It was like we about the eliminate Mike in not have him. You know have two three peats but not on watching the doubt. I'm like how we let this do laying on the couch with potbelly drinking every night. Smoke CIGARS BEAT US. That's what I'm thinking. We should have beaten down more. May Be more bad news team like you're seeing that year. Your coach by Larry Bird who obviously knew Jordan very well from his playing days. What did he tell you guys about how to defend on him? Both you know one on one and as a team. What would he told me? Because I was coming off the bench I was a young pup. I had the plate. Percentages is that I'm GonNa put you on twenty three scorn you twice. I'm taking you out. That was instruction. And so I'm like all right cool I'm GonNa just follow him. I'm just thinking in my so I can stay in the game but he didn't want him to get into a rhythm is like soon he gets on away and if he gets into
Chicago - Michael Jordan Turned Down $100 Million Deal For Two-Hour Appearance, Agent Says
"Michael Jackson Jackson Michael Jordan excuse me once had a chance to make one hundred million dollars for not much more than two hours of work and he turned it down for sure you think that's a true story yeah one hundred million who okay well tell me okay so his agent said they're not being very specific but he said this is according to his agent and it's a quote all he had to do was other than giving his name and likeness make one two hour appearance to announce the deal and he turned it down god bless him he's been so successful it gives him an opportunity to do whatever the hell he wants or not do things he doesn't want he's very very selective in the things he wants to be involved in yeah I mean unless it was some like tawdry it get them more role deal for a hundred million dollars even if you didn't keep that money you could have changed other people's lives yeah but then you could you could argue that a whole bunch of wishes worth two point one billion dollars I credit him okay we're not taking it okay so he doesn't need it oh goodness no he is he has his own brand I mean the deal that he has the jump man logo with Nike he owns the what was the NBA team the Charlotte bobcats were real I mean this dude is he is doing fine I I think that's awesome that he would just I also want to find out the percentage under million to two billion are you gonna get some rice throwing out your rice I was but you know he's so protective the reason he is so loaded one of the main reasons is because of how protective he is band of Michael Jordan the brand is still like this ESPN documentary that's on right now is the most that we have heard from Michael Jordan ever ever ever yes he you never did you interview so you never see more like him more Fallon or anything like that he just lays so low he didn't get into the commentating business like Barkley did in like Shaquille o'neal did he is always just taken this this different route and there's been this this sort of like smokescreen around him which makes the entry so much more I mean he's been out of the league for twenty years and his shoes are still the hot issues that sell each and every year everybody wants a new pair of Jordan so if that hundred million if he felt it went against the brand that he had carefully curated for all these years hi Tony has nice enough money where he could be like now pass and don't forget is Hanes commercials yeah is he in the commercial I haven't seen one recently but I always remember he wasn't you know not too long ago yeah he was on a plane we have the Charlie Chaplin mustache and he was telling people about his aching neck member who suck but yeah yeah T. shirts in his underwear talk about underpaying planes yeah generally frowned upon death have not seen that one

Diamondbacks' Madison Bumgarner secretly competes in rodeo events
"Arizona Diamondbacks left hander Madison Bumgarner has been competing in rodeo events under the alias Mason's Saunders and even one of twenty six thousand five hundred sixty dollars and a team roping competition in December according to a story published Sunday by the athletic Bumgardner was told I told the website that he has discreetly competed in rodeos for awhile including in March of last year two days before pitching for the San Francisco Giants in a cactus league spring training game he's been roping since he was fifteen or sixteen and said he's been added so long that quote it's just part of who you are he's the twenty fourteen World Series MVP if he agreed to an eighty five million dollar five year contract with the Diamondbacks this past December and I'm sorry Courtney if I was the diamond backs I wouldn't be thrilled to find out that my ace left hander yes competing in rodeos in the offseason this is the same guy who got injured on a dirt bike do not remember that when he was with the giants and that was a serious injury that put him out for a very long time no wonder he was performing I guess you want to call that under a pseudonym or a fake name because had you found out about this the Diamondbacks might not have spent eighty eighty five million dollar a gigantic sum over a five year contract on this guy I mean it doesn't make any sense like I understand the thrill of competition and this is who we is but these risky things every sport has stuff like this written into players contracts that you cannot do I mean I always go back to when it when he got hurt in San Francisco a few years ago do you remember the month Taylor's thing when he was with the warriors he fell off the scooter when he went back to Mississippi for the offseason S. lied about it yeah that was a story that came to mind and I feel like any time something like this it comes to the light I'm not one of these people is like all the cool funny look how cute of the story is I'm like what is he thinking like you get injured and made these you know these are animals eat these things have a mind of their own they're powerful they're strong and certainly he's you know well conditioned and knows how to be around horses but you know that to me is way too big of a risk if I'm a professional athlete you know the prime of my career to take but you know he's done it before and that he is you know we don't really get that much of outside having serious injuries at receiver big penalty from the team for you know the motorbike thing according to have the details how did he come up with the alias of Mason's Saunders instead of going with you know his own name Madison Bumgarner sell it this came from directly from the athletic article that broke the story said quote if you competed as Madison Bumgarner every phone camera in the area that would have been trained on him he said so he devised Mason Saunders the surname is the maiden name of his wife Allie Mason is a shortened version for Madison and it's something allegedly his wife called him out in public so people don't recognize them so very clever I'll give him that but I don't think the whole thing is a buzz saw her story totally bizarre and the other thing is you know if this was an NBA player everybody would recognize them already because NBA players are actually recognizable it just goes to show you how anonymous baseball players are that the most clutch postseason pitcher maybe of all time can compete in rodeos and nappy racket I think what I know it's wild lake in the in the fact is here like he continues to go what do these very risky things it just doesn't seem to care yeah if you get caught I mean there's the photo in that athletic article where he's smiling and you know he's with I guess that it's a two person thing that team roping so I hope twenty six thousand dollars I hope that Madison Bumgarner did not keep that for myself given the gigantic contract he just signed in December the but yeah he looks he's not there we is in this picture I mean I just think it's hilarious how almost incognito so many baseball players can live their lives in that matter just because they blend in because they're not these gigantic athletes by and large I mean they're not six eight or you know they don't think Shaquille o'neal out there everybody would be able to tell if you're you know for the most part with NBA athletes I just don't understand why when you have hit the genetic lottery anyway to be able to throw the ball a hundred miles an hour the end and to be able to make eighty six million dollars really it's more than that doing this why you would ever risk your body or put like what your fans in your organization is rooting for on the line so recklessly and you pointed out he already ruined the giants season aired my fantasy baseball season which is far more important Courtney by falling off of that dirt bike a couple years ago and here he is I guess he says I'm just going to live my life and Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen told the athletic that quote he was not going to get into discussing specific contract language but you pointed this out that we know the player contracts have I can't imagine that the Diamondbacks are cool with their ace pitcher also being a rodeo road being a cowboy literally let alone they don't want to be a Dallas cowboy let alone in being a literal cowboy well I just remember a couple years ago at the end I felt combine whistle and was talking to Mike Zimmer about you know the quarterback situation at that point he had said that Sam Bradford had a degenerative knee I come to find out later that offseason I was speaking with Kyle Rudolph who said that he went skiing with Sam Bradford that off season right around the time of the combine so I'm thinking to myself you are here you are a health concern and you're going skiing or you could very easily risk tearing your ACL for a third time and you already had your season cut short because of injury like I wonder if these guys just do it for the thrill or maybe they just don't care because they have ungodly amounts of money to begin with if they feel like they can the kind of invincible they can do whatever they want but you do wonder like this has to be in contract language if you cannot do things like this because we know across sports there's certain things you're just not able to do I it's a liability reasons you ever been to a rodeo Courtney I half I went Mississippi when I work down there the show but county fair rodeo I've been to the Cheyenne frontier days shout out if you're listening in Cheyenne Wyoming on the ESPN radio affiliate there I gotta tell you it's oddly it is oddly entertaining but the the thrill of it is almost that you think that the that the ball right is just going to charge and block these cowboys into next year it is one of the most dangerous things I have ever seen and I never in my life once thought you know what it be cool to jump in there with these bowls and try to try this on for for my but how do you even practice you know you kind of just have to get in there and and take it on right yeah I guess I guess so what I mean I've seen the photos of Madison Bumgarner I'd taken the horse around the warning track at AT&T park when he was still a giant I just think that that's who he is this is got this guy is a country bumpkin at heart from North Carolina and I I just think that he grew up this way and it's always gonna be a part of him so he feels like Hey I'm an able bodied individual and I also have more money than anybody at this rodeo thing I'm gonna do what I want and it's somebody else take issue with it I'm sure they actually would found out about it right now well look I know why it's so good in the clutch in game seven of the World Series because if that that's nothing compared to facing down the eyes of a bull
