"Yeah. We'll stop to read it. But anyway, but yeah, you know, talisa Soto is great, but she's underused in this movie. Bond, always. Is she the one that got whipped? Yeah. Did she get whipped with a slim Jim? Yeah, that would look weird. What was that? But he's always telling Q and the other galley he's like, no, I work better alone. And then they leave, and then they come back. He told them, no, I work better alone, or no, you should go home or no, you need to get on the plane. You need to get out of here. That was like every other scene. He was like, nope, you gotta go. Nope, I didn't do this on my own. Nope. It was nice to see a queue helping him out in the field. Shown back up. Q also covering for his just Bond Ness. He's like, you know, sometimes you just gotta do some things in the field to, you know, whatever it takes to keep your cover. No. And she's like, what? No. No, fuck that. And although he's pretty wasteful with that bay ass broom walkie talkie, he's like, wow. I'm like, dude, you can still use that. That's how he could have just pulled out a walkie talkie. Yeah. Little accountant guy that was like, what are you my on this for? How much did it cost? You to develop that broom. Yeah. You're not in the majesty's Secret Service anymore. You can't like, yeah. You're disavowed. You can't be spending money on broom radios. Explode in 30 seconds or something. I don't know that would be badass. They just linger different 36, nothing's blew up. Clean, sweep. Yeah. That'd be great. That would be great. But yeah, I give it a 6. Same reasons as Sean. It didn't feel like a Bond film. Really until Q got there. They had, you know, you didn't see money penny or at least he didn't go into the to get a mission or anything. He saw M in the field and they shot at him, tried to kill their agent, and I was like, oh, well this is, this is a horse of a different color. This just got real. Weird tie in with the Hong Kong also Secret Service, and there's a reason for that. Originally the script was supposed to be set in China. And they were going to deal with Chinese villains. And I believe for not only budget reasons but because China is a little bit strict on who they're going to allow to film, especially when they're I thought it was Hong Kong. Yeah, we're hung. I mean, it's going to be like very different. Yeah. Be careful. Yeah. Which is British, but yeah. I think they weren't allowed to film there. For they couldn't afford it and they weren't allowed to film in China. They filmed there for blood sport, which came out right around the same time. Loved that movie. So there were also several people, one of the agents was Shang tsung from Mortal Kombat. Everett McGill, I recognize from under siege two, is the only film I remember him from. And then I know the deep dive. Yeah. And then good old Robert Davi. The bad guy, goonies. As soon as I saw him, I was like, goonies. What else is Robert? Also, talisa Soto, she was katana. And Mortal Kombat. Now, I like Timothy Dalton, and I'm okay with him as Bond. But every both Bond movies of his, I'm not a fan. I know what I know Robert Dobby, I'm sorry, real quick. He used to do voice-over for some commercials. Do you want to work on?

"It is a token that you can't move. Listen, here's the EIP 49 73 count bound tokens. Sold bound. Turn blow it up a little bit for those who are watching this. Let's see. Consider name change to account on tokens check. There's a couple of other things that need to happen before this to go through. These are the checks we can go to. Code. That's lame that they had to change it from solder count. Dude, I should make a Twitter profile crypto Shang tsung. And then whenever somebody gloriously messes up with this implementation here, I could tweet it, and I'll be 30 is the one we want. We're in the EIP's repo. I wonder if like in legal terms you can't bind things to a soul because what in legal terms is a soul. A soul is any person inside of a moving vehicle. Okay. I thought that's only for everybody. It's pretty straightforward, right? It's an NFT, the type of non trends are going. Non fungible token that is also not transferable. There's some people call them NTT's. Meaning that my preferred name for it is a badge. And there's a lot of implications that can come up with something like this. They're very useful for various things. It allows you to show a specific criteria or tag or categorization of a given account. Say if you are belong to a specific lifelong membership or you want to give a specific feature to a certain set of accounts, you can give it a non transferable token. So that way it can't be gamed. The ownership or access that that token gives you can be game to move around. But at the same time, like, what if I can send somebody a token that they can't move out of their account? Like, I don't know. And NFT that links to a picture of child pornography. That tends to be the canonical standard of, this is a bad idea. I can give somebody something they don't want, that they can't get rid of. That's the main thing people are worried about when they complain about non transferable NFTs or soul bound token because that's the only way you can actually say that word. Digital STD bro. Not all of them. You know what's interesting? This is on Ethereum, but there are other L ones algorand, for example. That you actually can't AirDrop. You can't essentially send tokens to an account without getting that accounts permission. So I'm curious, which way will be preferred by the market. Protocols where you get to choose or protocols where you can have STD like dynamics. As long as they can be revoked, it doesn't matter. Okay. If me as an individual can remove it, if I own the account, it's my account. I should be able to remove things. Then that would make sense. I just can't transfer it to another account. So in my opinion, if you have these types of things, it's non transferable, but that doesn't mean removable. But it costs to do that remove action. That's subject to the smart contract. Depending upon what the use case is, because there's a bunch of different use cases for this type of stuff. A problem with NFTs today is that if you grant access or permission or voting or some type of utility associated with the ownership of the token, it's potential depending upon let's just take, for example, like voting. And remove this things that's in that long sharing it. Say like, I want to release a set of NFTs that the owners get to vote on specific subjects. I can then cast for a vote. And if I don't set that up correctly, if I'm not really, really careful about things, then someone could vote and then transfer the NFT and then that other new person could vote as well. And so you can have different types of games based on how they interaction is set up based on moving the NFT around the interaction to kind of play with what you expect. And in some cases, that's good. Regular enough to use your good for that. Like software licenses could be really good for this. I don't want to. I only want to use this software for a specific amount of time, so I basically buy an FC off the market, use the software for the period of time I need it and then sell it to the market when I'm done. So I don't have to pay for I can have interesting dynamics and how I use specific types of software that requires licenses or whatever, right? Yep. And I don't know. I was just thinking. Keep going. But that's just the general idea in my opinion. And so when I think about badges, I think about a lot of really cool things from a social perspective that you can start to do. Like popes are a good example, right? Proof of attendance protocols. Like when you go places, you have these, you can get these things called Po apps or popes or I don't know how people call them. But it stands for proof of attendance protocol, where you basically have an indicator or like

"Bloomberg daybreak Asia It is non 30 a.m. in Hong Kong and here in Singapore I'm Juliette Sully And I'm Doug prisoner at the Bloomberg interactive broker studio in New York pretty severe losses coming through in markets Not only in the apac region but in terms of futures trading for the E mini futures contract for the American market and we'll take a closer look at the price action for you when Brian Curtis joins us in a moment or two Right now a few of the sours top business stories Well over the weekend Chinese from elika Chung warned of a complicated and grave employment situation Lee said stabilizing employment is key for supporting China's economy This comes as China tries to contain COVID outbreaks in its most important cities His Bloomberg's Yvonne Mann When you have these two seemingly contradictory goals of achieving COVID zero and around 5 and a half percent growth target and you add that we saw even more intense measures in the two most important cities in China Beijing and Shanghai over the weekend So that's why you heard from the premiere in that statement saying instructing all governments departments and regions to start prioritizing measures to help businesses retain jobs and whether these current difficulties The national bureau of statistics said China's survey jobless rate climbed to 5.8% in March That is the highest since May 2020 it reflected the hit from Beijing's COVID zero policy And here in the states two of the fed's most hawkish members are defending the Central Bank against charges of being behind the curve in fighting inflation They are fed governor Chris Waller and the head of the St. Louis fed bank Jim bullard the two say critics don't take into account how fed speak is tightened financial conditions even before the fed's first rate hike back in March Critics now say the fight against inflation will produce an economic slowdown and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates said the slowdown will become global I'm afraid the bears on this one have a pretty strong argument that concerns me a lot in particular because the poor countries whenever the rich countries have these big budget problems the health needs places like Africa get deprioritized Now Gates went on to say Warren Ukraine on top of the impact of the pandemic will lead to higher inflation he said countries including the U.S. the UK and India have started raising interest rates as a result we know that Last month the International Monetary Fund slashed its forecast for global growth by the most since the early months of the pandemic Let's get over to markets now and check in on what we're seeing in Hong Kong out of action for a public holiday but China opening up pierce Brian Curtis I think I know what Gates was talking about but he mentioned the budget problem What was that that he was referring to there I think it just spending and how spending leads to higher inflation I don't think he was so much focused on I know Well maybe man I'm just trying to help him out Yeah exactly Exactly Raising interest rates this aggressively to fight inflation And then you encounter these problems with growth So that's probably what a lot of investors are wrestling with here And it's one of the reasons why we see a lot of selling across the markets U.S. equity futures They're all down sort of in that one and a quarter percent range to worse Stocks in Asia down bonds down I thought we could take a look at what to expect in the trade data coming in China because it's not good And it's interesting because it has elicited some comments from some and I'll bring those to you in a moment So we're expecting exports year on year to actually increase only 2.7% And that is way down from the 14.7% in the prior period And imports will actually decline 3% And that's worse than the slight decline of 0.1% before And so if you look at comments here from Shang tsung who is a former official at the PBOC he was writing an article in the Shanghai security news published today And said that China's economy is expected to be hit hardest by the COVID outbreaks in the second quarter and quote significantly improve in the second half So that may be that maybe something good Can you buck the trend Yes west pack is doing so It came out with its earnings as we reported many times earlier this morning First half cash profit was 3.1 billion dollars and the estimate was 2.9 and the stock is trading up two and three quarters percent in the session today A couple of quick numbers for you We have weakness in the Chinese yuan It is trading the C and H at 6 74 40 against the greenback The greenback itself is stronger by about three tenths of 1% a little more than that almost four tenths of a percent Dalyan won 30 86 and oil prices are lower down about 1% one O 8 70 And that is a check of markets 35 minutes past the hour joules to you Thanks Brian Let's get now global news.

"Even when we're talking about men in music, rules as immigrants, they're no longer the joke as they once were in past decades. You know, in past decades, if you had an Asian man and he was an immigrant, he was someone to be made fun of. His accent or his ignorance of western laser what have you. And I don't think that that is the case on shows like Kim's convenience or fresh up vote. It's a comedy, but they're not the vote of the joke. And so it means very heartening and encouraging. And I have really high hopes for especially younger actors coming up in so far as they won't have to put up with some of the things that people of my generation were older had to put up with. And my host for the future is that that process is a process of expansion so that there are just more opportunities and more access to better rules and more access for agent storytellers to tell their stories, you know? Yeah. Yeah, that's a huge part of it. And you're really part of the solution when you think about it because as a creative who's behind the scenes, who's actually writing the plays, which can become screenplays, and then be put on the screen, whether TV or movies, you know, your work is actually even more important for that change to happen. Well, thank you for saying. I mean, I hope, you know, I hope that my work does certainly play a role in expanding the opportunities for other artists. And that is part of why I am telling the stories that I'm telling now that have predominantly Asian cast and will certainly telling Asian stories. Stories that speak about our place in the world. Yeah, and what's fascinating to me is that stories that not only show our place in the world, but that can be universally admired or understood because when you think about those opportunities that you've mentioned, whether it be Kim's convenience, which we loved, and we thought you were a great pastor there. But it's also thinking of ways to accelerate and create more momentum. So to build off of the Crazy Rich Asians, the Shang tsung, et cetera, or some of the recent comedies that have been happening where, as you've mentioned, we're now we can be laughed with. We're laughing the audience is laughing with us rather than laughing at us. Let me just extrapolate on what you just said because I just saw a couple of weeks ago every, what is it everywhere? Everyone all at once? Yes. Yeah. And so that to me was a great example, I think, of exactly what you're talking about where the film takes a character who at one time might have been in the brunt of a joke where it would have just been invisible. And it's as genre bending kind of complete redefinition of who that person can be as a human being. And in terms of moving the discussion forward for Asian Americans and Asian Canadians, that's exactly the kind of thing that's happening now where because we're allowed to tell our story on stories, we're now in a position where we can take a story that everyone thinks they know and flip it and completely redefine ourselves for ourselves. And I think that's a really great encouraging thing that's happening now. Yeah. Absolutely..

"All right, so we're going to transition now to this email that I really loved and I fleshed out into multiple big picture questions that I spent pretty much all afternoon researching in Rohan. I know that you did the exact same thing, which really has me really psyched for your responses. The email comes in from Caleb, who writes, even though the Lakers season hasn't been great. LeBron James is now second on the all time NBA scoring list and deserves his flowers. You hear, do you hear that? No one talks to him. Can I just say something real quick? Wasn't it two weeks ago that everyone was like LeBron is now the number one scorer of all time? Regular season and postseason. And now we gotta celebrate him moving ahead of Karl Malone too. Pick one, okay? Pick one. First of all, I a 1000% agree with you. We're doing regular season here. Obviously. Karim wasn't playing for playoff rounds. Yes. Come on. Okay. So anyway, back to Caleb's email. We should appreciate LeBron's amazing long-term greatness hard work and determination of his career. That being said with his new accolade, the LeBron James Michael Jordan debates will still be raging all around us. What if instead of asking who is the greatest? How about we ask whose legacy means more to them? Here's the hypothetical scenario. Both LeBron James and Michael Jordan can choose whatever age slash year, they think was their best. They play a traditional one verse one to 21, ones and twos win by two, call your own fouls game. Whoever wins. One on one all the way to 21. Absolutely not. I'm not running a marathon. We have a message from our wonderful producer Shelby. We will read his answer after I finish. Whoever wins is the greatest while the losers legacy is gone, a race from time never to be known. Kind of like Shang tsung in Mortal Kombat declaring your soul is mine after a fight. So who's best wins MJ or LJ, enjoy the pod, the lively banter, and off tangent rants. Thank you, Caleb, wonderful question. He loves my off tangent rants..

He's up there his match with Roman a few years ago was right it was we thought oh, hey look big thing off this guy. Nope know and then you assess like number two. Nope, not guns up, you know who was like violated. His career was fucking Rey Mysterio's daughter. Yeah, you know, what's a good answer that? I think they've underutilized job. Because he's been so good at such a young age is Dominic Mysterio. I think he could be like a another Shane McMahon if they use them, right? Sure. He just needs to learn how to you know act. Yeah. Yeah, it's not great. But his in-game is fun. Take some acting classes drove. Do she what do you guys think of the song called Jericho interview? I thought it was a little lame. No new content. I thought it was good. It was recapping Jericho's career. Yeah, you know, I don't know what you expect to Jericho to say like WWE sucks that clearly wasn't going to happen. Right? Right. He says also when you guys get a thousand Subs Andrew should also spot the Austin facial hair off cuz I said weeks ago on the podcast that if we get to a thousand subscribers on patreon, I will shave my head that offer still stands. So you see if that ever happens and if sure I'll do options, I'll special hair as well as well. Right? Yeah. Well shave the head and give you a little goatee there. Good Jason dearen with all their friendly backstage interactions our new day supposed to make me and us like riddle or Israel supposed to make us hate the new day. Yeah little bit of column a little bit of column B, right mostly comedy. Mostly, little cozy quick over under Charlotte's had as many plastic surgeries as title Reigns. I guess that would be more like a true as true false. I like they're going to keep going ahead of each other and going around. They are neck-and-neck. Yeah. What is it off with no end in sight Rowan? It's Dan hankinson couple of years ago. Charlotte was my favorite female wrestler, which I can go back in time and kick myself in the balls. Oh, well, at least you know, you were wrong wasn't I mean Roman we liked Roman when he wasn't crammed down her fucking throats, you know sure she'll show you this one is from you lik my dek ulik wage. Medic like it like a lollipop u l i q. That's the first name m i d i q u lick my dick suck going on guys love the show. Appreciate all of you more Eric though. Yeah since Mortal Kombat is coming out this weekend who on the roster would you cast as the characters in Mortal Kombat? Vinny Mac is already Shang Tsung. Basically stealing. Everyone's fucking soul. Yeah, I mean wasn't insoles Woods and Kofi are obviously people Sub-Zero and Sub-Zero and Scorpion right dress up like that Braun strowman's basically going down these fucking at your arms. It would be Johnny Johnny Kaden s. Yeah, maybe yeah. Yeah Sonia Charlotte Flair, I guess know like Thursday would be Sonia. Soni de Ville yeah famous Shamus or Elias would be K know who's the most boring who like who berate in ratings board who am I don't know the older who's an older boring maybe Orton. Yeah when he's a face right, right. Yeah. That's a good point Chris Clem not really a question but you guys should do a bracket on best WWE catchphrases if you smell hey yo and you can't see me that's a good some bad good idea. Yeah, Eric. I don't like Charlotte Flair either wage, but you guys think that's a woman's a woman wrestler that wws keep it all costs know now again just to draw ratings. No, she's not they try to put on NXT the ratings did not move an inch, right? They did not the meter did not move so better with her. So are they did the were the ratings better when she was gone for a month? We talking about just ratings or like the ratings better Wednesday. There was versus not like are people like, you know, it's like they get Charlotte not on the show. No one really moves the needle anymore. No better show so bad that it doesn't matter doesn't matter. So I don't know how long I'd be totally fine with her going to he W and starting over but I mean, who knows maybe she'll want to do that? Cuz they fired her, you know, fiance whatever where he fucking posted a picture of like home and picking her up and harass is just right at like they're clearly swingers right there in the middle fingers is because they show up there snow like her ass is right in the camera. Like that's you know, like if there's the one like another couple couple years clearly. Yeah, and then there's one for a couple of years ago where it looked like Charlotte was giving him a blowjob on the beach. Right? Right my God, yeah. So, who knows? They're not going to do is not coming back if he's not coming back. I don't want to speak to guys don't want to come back for each other. Yeah, they don't offer. It could be doesn't want to come back and he promised if any promises they had. Yeah, it was promised his mom. She has like incredible anxiety and OCD I think personally wage. I mean allegedly according to me and I think that it just takes so much out of them to fight. He said he never even enjoyed fighting. So if a guy has a millionaire and he was doing very well and he has a gym and he loves to be on the sport and a nice guy and he has all his brain cells and doesn't want to be there I wholly like support respect that and it could be because the guy that Thirty, you know, and after his last fight didn't want to be there either. It seemed like it seemed like home doing it because you know, so it's just like two guys want to go out on top. I think that's the way to go out, you know. Yeah, I would much rather see that than see you know, what happened with Anderson Silva, you know, Melvin Guillard loses nine fights in a row or something or yeah, or like or like that where it's guys are fighting for money and they you know, you know, they're going to get knocked out and bought it becomes sad. Yeah so know anybody that's listening if you got Amazon Prime Amazon Prime Shanghai Shangri 20, it came out last Thursday. Amazon Prime go to Amazon Prime.
