"I'm the host nicholas philosophy and it's a busy week of the nfl. We have been covering all the releases all the movement over there. Big blue view. Please check that out if you have not already. And i've gone on the chris joe show and gave him a lot of my opinions on some of the giants roster moves. I love the fact that giants address the offensive line realized that they had an issue and then went and pursued both billy price and ben. Bredesen's ben edison will be under contract for several more seasons. I think that's a very very wise move by the new york. Giants and unnecessary one. I think each of these players may have a significant role in twenty twenty one. Even if everybody is healthy we know. Joe judge likes to platoon the offense of line. That's all well and good and we also know that shane. Lemieux struggled mightily last year in pass protection right now. He's dealing with a partially torn patellar. Tendon i have no clue how he's going to attempt to play through that but it seems like he is so good on the giants to actually try to fix this situation. I would say bad on the giants that they were in this situation to begin with. I know that zach fulton retired. I know that joe mooney retired but it seemed like they had a ton of coaching hubris. As i have kind of coined it throughout the entire off season the fact that they thought that they were really comfortable with their guys. Really comfortable with the depth and then it all just kind of fell apart in preseason with guys like wiggins significantly struggling and then you also think about the tackles and how poor. They looked against the patriots. And that's a whole nother issue because you have andrew. Thomas matt pair. Nate's older those. Are your three tackles right there. They did not address the back end of the tackle position and they had a lot of confidence in nate's older they a lot of confidence in all these young players. Let's hope they can come together and form a solid offensive line a fifteenth ranked offense of line anything's better than the thirty second ranked offense of line. So we'll be talking a lot about the giants offensive line. But this episode isn't going to be focused on andrew thomas struggles or some back debt pieces at the giants were able to via trade but will just be talking about some of the bigger storylines going on around the national football league. Before i get to that. I also wanna talk about the giants practice squad. I do love the fact that they added matt scorer. I love the fact that they went out and pursued some of these. I guess you could say. I don't wanna say higher profile type of free agents but guys like ryan is who won a super bowl but joe judge up in new england. I thought that was a really smart investment to bring him onto the practice squad. We know the giants and jason garrett love to run twelve and thirteen personnel packages. And guess what you look at the giants tight end depth right. Now you have kyle. Rudolph just came off the pup. How up the speed is he. Evan ingram dinged up his calf. Is he going to be ready for week. One then you have cadence smith. You lost living toil though. You lost nicotine. You lost rice in john. It's a kind of concerning position group or a team that likes to run heavier personnel packages. So it's good that they have guys like jake housman chris meyrick who they also signed to their practice. Squad from the miami dolphins and ryan izzo. I like how they pursued players like that matt. Scott another veteran offense of lineman. You can bring him in another addition that i appreciate. Let's get into some of the happenings around the national football league. Now let's just start by saying hey thursday. That's opening night. Baby thursday one week away ladies and gentlemen this twenty twenty one. Nfl season is just around the corner. We're going to be here providing all the content on the new york giants someone fantasy football will definitely be talking about and around the nfl abroad. It's going to be a lot a lot of fun. And in this game we have the dallas cowboys opening the season against the super bowl champion. Tom brady led tampa. Bay buccaneers head coach of the cowboys. mike mccarthy. He ushered a bunch of praise. On tom brady earlier this week. Stating that the forty four year olds longevity in his league may be even more impressive and the seven super bowl. Titles which isn't crazy when you think about it quote. This is mike mccarthy. Well i think like anything. A lot of things about this game but longevity. It's difficult to win a championship in this league. It's so difficult to win a super bowl and the fact that he's won seven is just unbelievable but i think my personal belief. The biggest challenge in this league is to have continued success to have success and to play at that level for such a long period of time to me. i think that's tremendous quality. And he's living it and he eats it every day. You can see just the way he goes about it from what you know from what you hear about. Not only as approach where he is today but to be able to do it at such a high level for such a long time. That's what i'm impressed with. That's coach mike mccarthy head coach of the dallas cowboys talking about tom brady and he makes a lot of points man. I mean think about tom. Brady's almost fifty years old. This guy is forty four years old and six years. He's going to be fifty. He's coming off of a super bowl victory and the team lead by jason light. Their general manager was able to retain chris godwin shack barrett antonio brown lavar onta- david leonard fournette and rob gronkowski and con su. That's insane right. There rob gronkowski also reporting that. He's feeling a lot better heading into twenty twenty. One seems to be in a much better place down here in tampa this team. The buccaneers could easily repeat. And there's so many things that can happen through nfl season. i'm just saying as currently constructed. They are an excellent roster on the offense they have a very very strong offensive line. One of the best right tackles in the league and kristen. Words big sigh big sigh but yes they do. Have one of the best right tackles in the league. One of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. Bruce arians is a really really solid coach. They have skill position players. All over the place at tight end. They have three very capable tight ends with oj. Howard cameron breed and rob gronkowski. Oj howard coming back from that achilles injury. You have that trio of receivers with antonio brown. Mike evans and chris godwin menu have role players. Like scotty miller. And then you're running back. Leonard four balled out last year. Ronald jones the third and now you bring in giovanni bernard to be really legit down back because for whatever reason leonard fournette was one of the most inefficient third-down backs we saw when he was with the jacksonville jaguars twenty nineteen operating in that role. And then we don't know what's up what ronald jones third he just always drops the football maddening. It's very very frustrating. But you have giovanni bernard we know tom brady has used that type of running back so much throughout his career. Obviously james white comes to mind. You can go back to shane. Marine who giants fans pretty. Well kevin falk. If you want to go back to the early days of tom brady. We remember these types of players. Were pass catching backs and how they failed..

"It feels good. Yeah, super exciting, right? It's amazing this year to come in and see fans in the stands already, Right? We've got people out here. We're starting to fill the seats. Teams are out warming up. We haven't had a lot of will they play won't they play issues like every week last year? It was. Are they going to play? What's going to happen? Who got contact trace this year Guys are in. Teams are working within the boundaries of the protocols for everything and you haven't had a lot of speculation, so it's fantastic to have regular college football playing again. And we have a full slate of games for the conference. On this weekend beginning on Thursday night, and so I'll go through the scores. And then what kind of talk about one or two of them? That kind of stands out for us? First of all, Utah? No problem with Weaver State. Utah winning that 1 42 17 the youths at BYU next week and what will be a huge weekend to a conference, But we'll talk about that a little bit later on. Also Thursday night, Arizona State rolled past southern Utah 41 to 14 s used problems this year might not be so much on the field, but off the field in the courtroom. Colorado get it. You gotta win. Good to see Shane Marine part of the broadcasting right Friday night game. And then today's games interesting finals that we have for you So far. Kansas State and Stanford playing a Jerry's world, and it was really the Wildcats world Today is they thumped Stanford 24 7. Stanford scored very late to get just anemic like they were anemic on offense couldn't run the ball 39 yards rushing for a Stanford football team. Quarterbacks had high percentages but just weren't very effective and turn the ball over three times to the air. So you turn the ball over three times like that. You're going to lose it. If you can't run. The ball played two quarterbacks, not a surprise, but that's what they did, and they play at USC next week. Well, and that's another discussion. We'll have a little bit here. We'll get that That's two scores from now in Eugene. The Oregon Ducks overcame not only Fresno State, but the smoke at Autzen Stadium, where the air quality was hovering around 200. Much of the game. It could have been over 200 before the game. They wouldn't have played the game. Right. That's the unhealthy mark, right? There has to be under 200. I believe so. Tim DeRuyter defensive coordinator now for Oregon. Of course, he was the D coordinator here for a couple of years. Beat his old team He was the head coach of the President's Day comes back to the D coordinator. Three takeaways, right, So three takeaways is huge. That defense they're showing. They can get the ball back. I don't think they played kind of also owners firing today It was our first game. Fresno State's second game. Jake Hainer, Monta Vista product right. Local guy played really, really well. So hats off to J Cater Fresno State they gave Oregon Everything they could handle today. Uh, we're gonna have to see the jury's out on this Oregon team. Well, we'll find out more next week there at Ohio State and we will find out more and we'll see if if Thibodeau always health because he left the ball game. Had a boot on his left ankle, was injured in that game as well. Speaking of us see their opener today against San Jose State 37 Trojans with the victory kind of just I mean, physically dominated the game. Kate on slow. It's only through 12 times. He was 10 to 12. That's it. I put up 30 points. So the 32 7 is really kind of misleading because it was like 13 to 7 in the fourth quarter, and so They weren't super effective on offense, like you said, didn't throw it very much, but they get the win. 37 looks good to national viewers, and.

"It's a game that's played in space. This is this. The league Jim Brown played in a business the lead to Tony Dorsett, said Earl Campbell and even Walter Payton. Played in where those guys were featured Guys. They were going to get the ball 1st and 2nd down and then we were gonna throw, right. I mean, go back. Name me one great tailback. Other than Terrell Davis. John Elway had earlier in his career that he was always duped around John. And then they added the running back. They found their guy, right, so that's the way you see teams building now. With greater emphasis on the passing game running back and can catch it. Out of the backfield. It's more favorable to the running back. Look at all the runners who played with Tom Brady, the guys like Kevin Faulk, Shane Marine. Um, uh, you know, guys, James White, catching up fact at the guy that's more valued. And the guy who can towed it. 30 to 40 times a game. You look at the Tennessee Titans. They're still built. The way that we talked about the old fashioned way with built around tailback at the halfway to victory for the Titans is a narrow one. They have one way of beating you. They're going to found the run game play action from our P O game. And if that wrong game isn't clicking, I don't know that we're sitting here, saying Ryan Tannehill is going to win it and shoot out. And so it's just a preferred way to play. I do think that dealers did the right thing. I think, Najee Harris, right first round pick deserving of it. I know there are some of the people at even where I work at gff who don't think they should have done it. This is where I depart from group Think. Okay, I'll tell you that and I stand by that pick because That's the one player the pit approach. Dealers need it arrested. Their team is already built Last year, they were missing that component that balance To be in Rothenberger, who's an aging 38 year old quarterback. He's like John Elway at the end of his career. He needs that guy, but the rest of the team's already built. I thought it was a wise decision. But you saw all the other running back teams awaited couple second round to get him. Solly, Man, you always Phyllis with a lot of really, really good information. We appreciate you taking the time as always were running up against some Rockies baseball, So we look forward to catching up with you next week. Always great talking with you guys take care. Enjoy the week. Thanks a lot. That is Salma will cause from pro football focus. Joining us here with Big Alan. Joe Joe on cable news. Radio traffic.

"Particular one in particular were not how he was a was a corm name tapley and young guy a they flushing out of the hospital to augment us good kiddo and he was just cheer streaming down his is bought up to his elbows and tears streaming down sir surrogate everything we could you know in But we just couldn't save him. I mean he was hitting the liver. And and i say but he was. You could tell he he'd made comments and suggested maybe they could have done more. I and he was wrestling with that right then and i said hey you did. You did a good job. You did what you had to do. I mean can't save everybody you know. Sometimes you're just gonna lose people all you can do is your best and But he was hurting right in. And so i spent a little bit. I was in but then i really wanted to go. Walk the line with us and talk to some of shane's marines. And i know that they knew what was hap- what had happened but every one that i stopped and tyree you hasty position that i stopped at they all said. How's our lieutenant. They knew how he was. I mean they saw it but they're hoping that somehow d- a miracle yet it would liquidate would happen. That would make it. So did what they saw was not really what happened. And that's when. I started thinking what your job here. You're the old guy really. I mean i was forty whatever forty two years old. I'm the old guy He had the old guy in the in the equation here. And i have to get them refocused so i i talked to him and i told him hey And now they were all hurting really bad and they and so's i so i i mean i lost one of my officers. In one of my marines. Any of them any any one of them would would have been hard to take. But i but. I mentioned to to them that okay. You know. he didn't make it..

"Wants to play. And he said he'd be interested in playing for the Buccaneers next season, because who wouldn't want to be a part of wait for it? Shop obey his TMZ sports, There would definitely be something that would be interested in playing with Tom Brady. That by itself, you know is enticing. But having a relationship with Bruce Arians, you know, I don't know what they're gonna have going, you know for next season, but If I'm a part of it, if I if they want me to be a part of it, I'll be a part of it for sure, because I'm definitely trying to add a told me to mind my resume. I think a P is going to be in the Buccaneers next year. No. Could it happen? I guess it could happen. Have to take a one year cheap, cheap, cheap deal, though Brandon Marshall used to play with Russell Wilson, he's now part of first things. First on that first one. Brandon Marshall believes Russell Wilson is trying to expedite his exit in Seattle. Russell Wilson is beyond frustrating. I think Russell Wilson Eyes trying to figure out how to move on in a classy way. That's what I truly believe, like Russ is a guy that's not concerned about like how you think about me and what do you think about me? And he's really concerned about what type of legacy do I leave behind? He's trying to lead the legacy that he did things the right way so other guys can follow that same blueprint. I think he struggles with how to move on in the classy way in a way where people can look at him and say, You know what? He still did it the right way, because that's important for us. My question is based off. What though? Is it just simply the comments because I heard his comments. He's clearly frustrated. Does that mean that he's trying to move on? Not necessarily. Could he be setting up the foundation? Like I said, though? And telling the organization Hey, start listening to me because my contract is up in three years, And if you want me to stay, you gotta do it my way potentially, that would fall into line with the bread to Marshall saying So I think right now, Russell Wilson's thinking about leaving, though I would probably lean more towards no Then I would towards yes. Let's hear more. Brandon Marshall. He says the offensive scheme is to blame for why Rush holds onto the ball. So long now, a lot of people like well Russell Wilson own onto the ball little long. Well, Pete Carroll, the office that you put in places we're going to run on first, we're gonna run on second. And if it's third unmanageable, we're probably gonna work run on third down, and then we're going to take shots. I was there. We had no quick game. There wasn't a nest ablest game outside of Doug Baldwin. And then you had Tyler Lockett. Where's like you had an option round. You either break in or you break out. That was it. So Russell Wilson at the deep balls, Not there. Of course, he's going to hold onto the ball. Definitely when you have that type of offense in line in front of you, So that is the problem that that's one of the problems. So if you say Russell Wilson holds onto the ball too long, Alright. Could that be true yet could be true. But is it the reason why I sent 2013 He's been sacked. 44 42 45 41 43 51 48 47 times is that the majority of the reasons now? Offensive line is not good enough. A tear or two more from Brandon Marshall bring the marshal says There's a philosophical difference on the offense between Russell Wilson and Pekao. Are we going to let Russ quote Russ is the guide make as you know? Oh, he's going to scramble around. He's going to make plays happen by the end of the day. You need to decide if you believe in Russ. To drop back and throw it 30 40 times and I don't think they believe in Russ. Why, Actually, I know they don't believe in rush because I was there every day before practice. I would sit there with the quarterbacks with Coach shoddy and Russell Wilson and we would talk shop and we will also do quarterback drills. I would actually be in the quarterback drills like dropping back three Step. Drop. Five Step Drop seven Step drop. So I heard a lot of stuff. Well this week. Pete wants us to run a little bit more all. Well, What about this? Can we get into this little sooner? Or what about our no huddle offense is like no, This is what Pete once, so there's a huge philosophical difference there. Now, let's be fair here was bred the marshals in Seattle for one year was 2018 he played? I think six or seven games. So is he still plugged in to what goes on the Russell Wilson and now even from 2018 to where we are in 2021. Russell Wilson is viewed differently than where he was a few years ago. But this is not the first time that a big name quarterback head coach wants him to run the football. More. Aaron Rodgers, Matt before they made a conscientious effort to run the football more now, did Roger still throw the football it, Tanya, But it's not a winning formula. Toe. Have your quarterback throw 45 50 times. I know that they were behind today to throw the football more. But Andy Reid only had 12 design runs and the Super Bowl on Sunday. Look at Tom Brady. Even when Brady was at his best in New England that I like to throw the football, of course. They always had guys like Kevin Faulk, Antoine Smith of Corey Dillon, who is a better back. Even in this the second era. You had guys like Steven Ridley Shane Marine. Sony, Michelle wrecked Birkhead. James White. You don't need a stud running back. Just look at the last 10 or whatever Super Bowls that with that one, but she did running back by committee. At least you need production because you need balance you need to run to set up the past. Let's hear one more from Brandon Marshall says Russell Wilson doesn't believe the Seahawks will do what is necessary to help them out on offense. Russ wants to stay there, but he knows that Pete Carroll's going to continue to give them the runaround. You know, when it comes down to the offensive coordinator, did I really have a seat at the table when it comes down to how we approach our offense? Are you going to listen when it comes to, you know, building around the best player on our team me? Are you going to draft offense? Alignment a center are you want to do those things? And I just think is getting to a point where Rush just doesn't believe I don't know. I think Russell Wilson doesn't trust Pete Carroll. I can't buy that. Is he frustrated, though, and could part of it be? Look, how many times have been Saxons? 2013? Yeah, it could start to question if John Schneider and pique collar doing right in the draft room. Do. I think there's not a cent to trust their? Yeah, I have a tough time believing that For Syrians tells Chris Galvin at the parade, and he's not going anywhere. They don't.

"The coordinators would change. Josh McDaniels been there for a long time. But you know Charlie Weis and you know Bill O'Brien. He's gone through him. But now to do this in the very first year with Bruce Arian, and he's got time or over on the sideline, whispering in his ear like he did with Peyton. It's a whole new group to do you notice. How how different is the offense He's playing and now or overtime? Did they incorporate a lot of the Brady Patriot part of the of the offense and his Tampa Bay offense? Shin Yeah. You know, I haven't seen too much difference of stars like play design. What I have noticed towards the end of the year is, um they're identifying defense is better. I think that's where Dr Campbell base offense was kind of struggling on the way you do that is, you know, you use motion. You use different formations that Kind of give you hints and keys as to what kind of defense Um, you're gonna be seeing on a particular play. So I see them doing Maura of that. Um, but ah lot of things. That they're doing are things that they do well, and that's kind of how if you look back at Brady's first couple of years, it wasn't the same offense that it was when I was there with the Patriots, you know, but he's so good at what he does that he can kind of take what in office is built for him. What an offense does well and kind of mold that into and combine that with what he does well and You know, I got a tip my hat to Bruce Arians and that whole coaching staff because they've been able to come together with Tom and be able to in N able to create a very powerful offense when when things are going well, and it's pretty fun to watch. "Great to be going that joined by Shane Marine Former Cal Bear New England Patriot had 11 catches for 64 yards in Super Bowl 49 in the Patriots 28 24 victory over the Seahawks and that crazy month And he joins us courtesy of the guests line. Hi, Shane. Thanks for taking the time. How are you? I'm doing pretty good. How are you guys? You know we're doing good. Super Bowl memories have to be good for you like Super Bowl Friday. Start thinking about Super Full 49. You were Brady's guy that day, huh? We were able to pull that one out. Otherwise my hate before weekend. Oh, Yeah, It's great to hear your voice. I gotta tell you, John alone that Shane and I reconnected via linked in, I think is the only person I've connected that way and so great to hear your voice, and I told the story on the air because I think it speaks to your character. Shane was a Intern at NBC Sports Bay Area for a few months, right? And then he never ever I saw and they're in the building every day. But I didn't put two and two together, We revolt head down and working at the very end. His last day comes up to me and says, Mr Papa. I want to just, you know, tell you, he said he was training like your shame, Marine. I called your games a tale. He never wants big time anybody and said anything so all your success and just tell us what you're doing before you get into Brady, you've got into broadcasting. After your great career, So just what are you up to now, Shane? You know, it started a little bit of business Had. They're trying to stay busy. But as I'm sure for everybody, this this last year was kind of tough, just keeping things going and getting things even started. For the most part. So, uh, Still trying to stay in the sports broadcasting room. Not sure you know this upcoming here where exactly? I wanna land or whatnot, but but definitely still keeping my keeping interest into sports broadcasting in some capacity. Chain Marina's joining US former Calello running back course played for the Patriots won a Super Bowl and Super Bowl 49 with Brady and the crew, and he got 11 catch. Levin passes for a 64 yards. I gotta ask you before we get off that Super Bowl when, when Russ threw the interception on Malcolm Butler, Pick that pass off. Where were you? Where were you standing? I was I was sitting on the bench, actually. And I wasn't watching the game. Um, because a couple plays before that. That was ridiculous. Catch made by curse, and then Marshall on ran it down to like the one so I kind of had my head down on me. And I was just thinking about how much time would have left. Um, you know, and I was also pretty pissed that that catch just happened and I'm like, Is this really gonna happen to us right now? On and then all the sudden I hear our sidelines, you roughed and then I look up at the at the at the screen and I realized what happened And then I just started going crazy. So when you went to New England and you caught the ball out of the backfield of Kale, you were one of the great backs in the history. The program. How many yards you having that one big game? Well, over 200 yards. I remember Yeah. Yeah, that was. Yeah, the one at Stanford. Uh, like 009? Yeah, that was a pretty good showing that was 42 carries. Uh, that one? Yeah, that was one of my one of my good memories. Yeah, I remember that game so well And then you know, uh, Bella, check and McDaniels and time, you know, Use your pass catcher. And you had years where you You caught the ball more than you even ran the ball, And that was such a. It's always been a big part of Brady's offense, even going back to You know when he first got in the NFL any had Kevin Falk is a check down and then white, obviously and you, but just talk about that evolution in your game from being a guy carried at 42 guy at times and a In a big game for kale to a guy that would catch the ball out of the backfield and catch the ball 60 times a year. Yeah, You know, I never, You know, I never really limited myself. As far as um, You know, Coach Geico schooled was my running back Coach account. He always said, never put limits on yourself. Um, be a complete back, be able to do all things but be able to do all things. Well, um, and that's how you will find time on the field. Um, you know, and they'll find ways to use you. And so I really took that to heart. And I just always even bring back a cow. And I just always, you know, wanted to be the best I could be at all aspects of running back that's blocking, running and, of course, catching And part of catching is his route running. So I think I really just worked hard at my routes. Watch the receivers how they did it watched How Kevin Faulk and Danny Woodhead guys that did it came before me and were successful learned from those guys and And, you know, just concentrating on not dropping any of Brady's passes on that kind of just propelled me And, you know, after I found myself a nice little nice little niche there in that offense. By the way you're talking about Cal running backs. I don't know that I'm to call you guys running back you but very underrated Marshawn for set you Chuck Muncie, J. J. Arrington job it best. I mean, you guys have had a lot of Good backs come out of cow by the way after that game did I don't know if you're close with Marshawn. If you're friends with Marshall, did you go up to him? Go. Hey, Sorry They didn't give it to you, bro. Oh, actually, I think I might have seen him one time after the after that game of and I didn't want to bring it up. He didn't bring it up. So it wasn't brought up because the stories I heard that he and the rest of the team breasted New York's team was not We're not too happy with the play call, and I think after the game most income just ran off the field, so I didn't really have a chance. And I'm just gonna leave that one alone. Yeah. Darrell Bevell is a guy and Richard Sherman over on the defensive side ripped up but S o. Go back to your time with time. I mean, when you first played with them your rookie year That was 10 years ago. Just about And what have you noticed about him? I mean, you're on your next career. And you know you're gonna be great broadcaster. We can tell right away. But he's still going strong, Do you? Do you notice anything different in his game? And the guy that's gonna quarterback for Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl on Sunday? Shane versus the guy you played with in the in the Super Bowl. Yeah, I mean, especially no, I have it. And I think that that's the most impressive part is like he still has the same motivation, the same focus and the same determination that he had 10 years ago when I first met him. The same attention to detail and you can tell through the screen his desire to win that chip on his shoulder being, I think, the sixth round pick. I think it's still there, and I think that chip was bigger than anybody ever. Ever imagined it could be. And he's still out there trying to prove everybody wrong. Trying to prove that he is the greatest and he is, in my opinion. Um, you know you're not going to give me to set anything other than that. But I'm just impressed with his ability to continue to play at a high level year after year and each year coming in, people are always questioning is 40 now 41 42. Can you still do it? Um and I just love watching him achieve greatness. Um, you're in a year out. What's he like in the huddle? Uh, he's intense. Uh um He's focused and the and the good thing is that he knows His offense so well. He's had a spin the office for 20 some odd years, So it's like being in the huddle with an offensive coordinator, so he makes sure that everybody's on the same page. If there's any tweaks to a play or anything like that, he's very good at communicating what he wants, and what he sees from defense is That was the line about him was that he was he had the same head coach..

"Debo early in the game in the first half, ran a bunch of times. Is there something that you're seeing kind of under the radar that maybe people aren't talking about enough is far storylines of the game. Oh, well, you know, I said, I guess I think of it more in terms of tactics. So, in other words, I think of in terms of how did the bucks come out and play this game? You know, we know what Bruce Arians is. He's a coach in a long time. Bruce Arians is not the kind of guy that's gonna come out and say we're going to try to slow the game down in my opinion, anyway, I don't think that's Bruce core philosophy. You know, He's a no risk in no biscuit guy. So You know, I'm very anxious to see how they go about playing offense. I'm not suggesting they're not going to run the ball at all. But I don't think they're run game is particularly good. I know it's been effective in the playoffs, but I don't think it's particularly good. In other words, I don't think it's a run game you can lean on. Uh and quite frankly, I think if they came out around, it's T Spagnola and Andy Reid would She would say a great run the ball. So I'm so curious to see how the bucks come out offensively from a personnel standpoint, and from a philosophical approach standpoint, because, look, we know Tom Brady's great That's not the point. But I think overall, their offense would would have a hard time if they got down big again like they did in the week 12 game. Last week. When we heard you on the show, we had your roll up your sleeves and give us everything on Matthew Stafford and you, You gave us a deep dive, and we talked about it before because you started him in the off season in the point was, what would he look like? And Kyle Shanahan's Offense. Well, that didn't happen. The very next day Less state makes a huge deal with Brad Homes, and now he's in the NFC West, but he plays for Shawn McVeigh. So he see ever been in an offense quite like this. And what does this do for the L. A Rams offense to go from golf? To Stafford, Greg. Well, I think Stafford complain any offense. I think he's a high level throwing talent. I think he can make any throw what he gives them. He gives them much more mobility. You know, this is a fascinating question, Pop Now that a lot of people are having, and it carries over to the college players coming in at quarterback is God and look, you can win with Jared Goff. He got to a Super Bowl, but stylistically, he is not a second reaction player. He's a drop back quarterback. He needs the system to work for him. In some ways, he's very programmed. And I think there's a belief now that that style of quarterback he can on Lee go so far because you must have some kind of second reaction ability. Stafford does you know the kinds of throws that Mahomes makes that everybody talks about throwing from off platform throwing across his body? Stafford's been doing those kinds of things for years. It's just effort has in one And I know that that's a big conversation. There are people who believe all well, Stafford's not really that great because great quarterbacks lift off your team and then the flip side, of course, is well. Stafford's been on terrible teams, and he's done everything he can wherever you fall on that. That's that's personal. But Stafford is a much more talented player than Jared got far more talented. All right, that your opinion carries a lot of weight here. We're doing a poll today. Okay, we're doing beautiful. Your opinion matters more than probably anybody. So these are the four choices we have for best quarterback matchup in the history of the Super Bowl. We got Montana versus Merino. And we're in the bay Area. So we got Montana versus l. A. We have a dream. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, That's right. You told us that it was at that game Breeze versus Peyton Manning or Mahomes versus Brady, Which is this one. So Montana, Marino, Montana, Elway Breeze, Manning or Mahomes? Brady. What's the best quarterback matchup of those two years? Where's Dilfer versus Collins? You could have done that. You could change shape. You could shave, Mr Cosell. Uh, hey, maybe listening the dice to drink. Well done, Bulldog. And I know that I love friend. Come on, Castillo. You know what would come on now, boy, That's you know it, Zwah just you know, it's funny how this stuff works just because I was younger, and you tend to be more impressionable. I just remember being at the Marina Montana game and thinking that was because I was younger, that that was the coolest thing you know, Obviously, I wasn't at the point my career I am now. Um Wow. Boy, That is tough. Um, my choice. I went with that one. I'm gonna go with that one. Just because, you know, it's like when you hear music when York, you know. Yeah. Talking about listening to Southern Rock and Leonard Skinner. You know, either music I listen to in the seventies you No, that's still my music, You know? So we owe Morino and in Montana when I was younger and it it really made an impression on me. That's great. What it actually before you go because we have the L. Davis 30 for 30 last night. You've talked about Coach Walsh a lot. You have much do you have much interaction with they'll Craig. I did not. I believe it or not. I met Al Davis. Only a couple of times and one of the Times was when he gave the eulogy at my uncle's funeral service in New York City, and that was a 1995. Great stuff. Sorry. We can't see. And but we we hope to next year in l A. You know, maybe we'll see you next, right? I know. I mean, I sure hope the world's better because I really like to go to l A. You know, I see the new place a new threat. Great stuff. We'll talk to you next week. Thank you so much. All right, guys really appreciate it. Thank you. We got it. But there's great Coast cell, not at the Super Bowl. But sitting in a very comfortable spot, listening to Southern rock and watching. You know what I just realized? I never knew this. His uncle that he's talking about. It's Howard Cosell. Really? Yeah, You're right. I didn't. I never would. I know the name and I have always joke that he's not Howard Cosell. But I know he's the nephew. The great Howard Cosell. He's I never knew that even interviewing every Friday for two years. I wish I That's all we would have talked about. Is that great Howard Coast So it is true. Oh, my Lord. I didn't know that. Show done for the year. Now I see. Is he coming back next? I think we have it tomorrow or next week to put a wrap on all the about the great great Howard Cosell will do. Shane Marine is going to join us coming up next. He is a former Cal bear. And he was on that Patriots, a winning team against the Seahawks in Super Bowl. 49 had 11 catches in that game for 64 yards. We'll ask him all about that all about Tom Brady all about Super Super Bowl 55 next. Only here on these forces..

"John, this team is just too too good to be giving up 147 points. I don't care what the Warriors got going. That was awful. Last night what they did on every single quarter 36 38 36 37. I mean, every single girlie guilty of quarter we're a team will score 36 38, whatever, but they're not gonna go for four quarters. I mean, that was atrocious Defense for four quarters. Awful. I wonder if now he was playing quarters last night when he was watching. No, he doesn't drink anymore. He doesn't drink anymore. You can't really do that with weed. You know, Put it in a glass. Take a big hit. I guess you could have a smoking game. I've never seen that. Dreamin was great Last night with 15 assists Like you said, Who bring 14 to 21 7 of 10 overshadowing stuff who was really good. He had 28. But everybody got into the act 57% from floor 22 of 43 51%. And I don't know if you watch the TNT show but in typical child passion at halftime, he's bitching and moaning about the small ball line up. It's like Are you watching the game they're crushing it for and then he comes on right after, and he just said it was ugly. What was ugly about it? I assume he thinks Dallas is performance study, but the one thing and I turned it off after Stephan Curry appeared. Is it interview subject? They didn't play nice with step. There was no The meaning of staff. They treated him with the proper respect he deserves. Which was good. Yeah, so and by the way, one Toscano Anderson. Very underrated like that guy He had to play 40 last night. You don't want to play 40 every night, but I like that guy. So underrated John. He doesn't even have his entire name on his jersey. He has just to Scott. No, right, So and I had not noticed that before. So I texted Eric House in Who's in charge of all things considering uniforms and everything. He's the guy that makes the Warriors fit. And what he said was, is what I thought I didn't know. You know why he did that. Sometimes guys drop names because of a family situation. But he housing texted me back. What's up Pop name does not fit. So that's what he chose one in the G League, so we just stuck with it, but Maybe we could shrink the letters to make it fit. Have you ever? I've never seen that. I mean, Abdul Jabbar fit. It's just more letters and Abdul Jabbar. Are there more letters and finish Smith when you have the hyphen. Dana Kuhn Bo, What did you honestly have on the back? How many's faces to Scott? No. And you know, hyphen or drop the hyphenate. They can't go with a little. You know McDonald's arches shape to get that all on there. Isn't it weird that he only has to have his name I would think and you could get you noticed that before that bothered me last night, you get lots of guys with big, long names, and they just make the fun smaller on the jersey Don't think Not so, Yeah. Come on Housing shrinky that Shrinky that jump in and get something, Honey, I shrunk wants Jersey is what you gotta do. You gotta be a way to get his whole name on. Their guy went for 14. He was outstanding. He's the one that guarded. He was the man up, defender. Luca. They they switched and you know, wagons guarded them well, too, But he He's a pretty good player to Scott. No hyphen Anderson from then on there, Let's go. Yeah, you mentioned the guest list. It is phenomenal. Today. Carson Palmer is going to join us at 10 20. Great Cosell's join us at 10 55 you missed you mentioned former Cal Bear and Patriot and giant Shane Marines going to join us at 11 15. Tommy lost Ellen newest giant 11 30. 7 45 Will Shields Hall of Fame guard for the chief's 12 30. Geoff Schwartz is going to join us, as he did last year in Miami. He'll break this thing down. Although he's brother is bright yellow. There you go. Yeah, he gave you the buttery cigar. You said you reminded me. It's buttery, buttery Fidel when he appeared His brother Mitchell is not going to play the former Cal Bears, so we'll ask him how that's gonna affect things. And then Tom Spencer. He's part of the broadcast team for CBS is going to join us at 1 15. Which should be fun and looking forward. They just finished their rehearsal for CBS, and he sent me. Guess what? He sent me to get me going. Big picture of the pirate ship. Pirate ship all dolled up, Israeli said There's no way to pick that up and move that. Does he know? Does he know you're a disdain for the pirate ship now? Did you do that? You well, I did say, what did I respond? That should be need to take that down, and I got nothing back from him. But I did get his thoughts because he is a historian at the highest level of all sports. Certainly football. He's the right hand man. Jim Nansen, Johnny Ramone gonna broke the Super Bowl on Sunday. I asked him to give us his thoughts on Holder's biggest pole. Well, we've got that, I think is the biggest one. We've done this a big one. Yeah, We've got that, too. So all right. We'll start with Carson Palmer in just a few minutes. We do have a lot of the things to get to us. Well, we'll continue with the warrior's lot of NFL lot of discussion around the Super Bowl. Some of the story lines and all those things. By the way, Levi Stadium is going to become the Largest vaccination site in California. So congratulations to all involved with that. So that from Al Qaeda this morning, very cool. Yes, And I already nominated offered up us to go and help in any way we can. Just absolutely Yeah, I'll do that. Then we can show up and do our show from there. That would be a good idea. People probably don't like me near them. I look sickly, but, yeah, I think that's good. We would do anything. We couldn't help. No question about it without question. Encourage people to get vaccinated. Absolutely. All right. We'll kick everything off coming up next Friday. We'll get the pole up for you as well. And tell you what's that what that is all about today, all next pop in London only here on the SportsCenter. Did you know you can listen to Papa in London? "Anytime soon. I don't think so. It looks like a joyless slog. Brady most of the time, and it's been that way for a couple of years. Dating back to his final seasons in New England. And we attributed a lot of that to his apparent rift and viewed and rage with Bill Belichick and the lack of respect he felt But he has all the respect in the world in Tampa Bay. This is his team. This is not Bruce Arians team. This is Brady's He got his way and got his boy A. B. Antonio Brown, who also did not find the end zone on Monday night, the Buccaneers air one into by the way, since they added Brown So on paper. This is the most talented offense Brady sad since 2007 with Moss and Wes Welker and the 16 and no team and all of that. But they still hadn't found a rhythm and it seems like a joy was slog to use that phrase again. And it's just Brady one for nine on passes. On Monday that traveled 15 yards arm or through the air. He's hooking the ball deep. Like he's really never done before in his career. I mean, Brady Even in his prime. And he is 43. He still plays in a very high level, but we can safely say is out of his prime. Never was a great deep All guy never was just a chuck it up guy. I mean, pass interference right now is one of the bucks greatest and most consistent offensive weapons. Tom Brady's turns into Joe Flacco from that standpoint, So It's a lot of this, chucking the ball deep without a lot of rhythm. Nothing surgical about it. You go to the Patriots offense. They clicked with these short underneath passes. It was Troy Brown Deon Branch, then Wes Welker. Julian Edelman. Brady has really have that option in Tampa Bay. They've tried it with Scotty Miller. Chris Godwin fits that prototype. But you saw the interception that was intended for him on Monday, they still can't get on the same page. And I think even more glaringly is the lack of a reliable receiver out of the backfield. One of the linchpins Of the Patriots offense with Brady was finding the running backs on third down for the short yardage gains through the air. Having fuck into Shane Marine, Most recently, James White, who had big games in the Super Bowl, against Seattle, and against Atlanta. James White, instrumental for the second half of the Patriots run and those later Super Bowl years. What we see. On Monday night, Lenin for net dropped the pass. I mean, the Buccaneers do not have a reliable guy out of the backfield, and that's and that hurts Brady. And it shows that sometimes in life, the worst things are getting exactly what you want. Brady has his team. He's got drunk back. He's got a be bunking with him or what we what we know still doing that He has my Kevin So yes, he's found more of a rhythm with recently another touchdown on Monday. That is a positive from the Buccaneers you can take, but this team is loaded on paper, Chris God, and we mentioned Scotty Miller, Taylor Johnson, the rookie Cameron Great, you forget. He's even on the team. He's the second tight end. We're not as I mentioned is a bit player on this offense. I mean, this is on paper, a loaded offensive team with an offensive mastermind deep ball guy, Bruce it guru Bruce Arians with it with a with a copilot role on the sidelines. So what Brady has it? They don't have the discipline the teams had with the Patriots. Ready, Mrs. That and that Patriots offense. Donna is the flashiest, but it was best suited for him and not saying braise a system guy and I, Joe Judge say they need a ridiculous like that. I mean, Brady's in better position this year than Bella check, and the Buccaneers are still seven and four. I mean, that is the fax. No doubt. But Tom Brady is missing something 11 weeks. Then it remains a sloppy is it was from the get Go..

The Buccaneers are surpassing the Patriots in terms of interest right now because the Patriots stink so Seen a lot of Tom Brady. And tonight. Wrap up Monday night Football to 30 remaining Down by three Brady with the football. We've seen this many times before. And oh, indeed. I have never seen Tom Brady throw a worst interception at a bigger time ever in his career, overthrowing Cameron break by a mile into the outstretched arms of Jordan for his second interception of the night, and it's sealed the Rams victory. Brady was sloppy and week one with the pick six against the Saints, and it has not stopped and there have been some impressive outings. Tom Brady is still a top 10 quarterback. He's still a very good quarterback. I would still take him as my quarterback. But something is not clicking with this Buccaneers offense. It is sloppy and At this time, you can't count on Tom Brady to make the big play at the end of the game. Mike Sando mentioned it last hour. One of the hallmarks of Brady in New England, where these short intermediate passes to Yes, the West Welker's and Julian Edelman's and before them Troy Brown people forgetting the first wing. Of the Patriots dynasty. Troy Brown was the Welker and Edelman the guy underneath who Brady could always go to Dion Branch. I mean, Brady that is the hallmark of Tom Brady. And in Tampa Bay. He doesn't really have that. I mean, they've tried to make Scotty Miller that guy to mixed results, and I think most glaringly there's no running back who can catch the ball out of the backfield. Running backs You can catch the ball out of the backfield expert had another one. I mean, the Patriots targeted those guys. Because that was the bread and butter for Brady and so many aspects, and they just don't have that at all The Buccaneers. It's a lot of these deep passes that statistically, Brady has been hitting the Tonight one for nine, then passes a travel more than 15 yards and That's never really been his game. That's never been his strength. And I think that is a big reason for the sloppiness and just so out of sync the Bucks look as an offense as well. The phone number is 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. Let us let us and give us some insight into What he was thinking after the Big Saints win over the Falcons on Sunday. Retweeting Roddy White said, Yeah, basically gonna wipe Taysom Hill in the Saints Retweet. By Sean Payton. So I do like that. How could you not? And Peyton has every reason To be riding high. He has every reason to be riding high because the Saints won on Sunday and granted, it was against the Falcons who really stink, But the defense was incredible. And Taysom Hill Under center was incredible. 18 to 23 completed 78% of his passes. That's the seventh highest mark ever very debut in quarterback. Lean Game 233 yards, No picks. 10 rushes 51 yards to scores. It's Ah It worked really well and I totally understand. What the Saints have been doing a quarterback and breezes absence or Drew Brees gets hurt. Last week, they go into Jamis Winston. Why? Because Eastern Hill is such a unique talent. I mean, he was probably practicing with the tight ends for most of the week. For all we know, Jamis Winston is obviously a much more conventional quarterback. So in your conventional quarterback, and Drew Brees goes down. He's an easy guy who you could turn to. But now The Saints had a full week to prepare with Hill with Hill. They'll have another week to do that this week and They changed their approach..

"Yeah, they did have plenty of chances. Just like 2 32 remaining fourth quarter. You're down three. Tom Brady with my crew Co speaks your leg. And what does he do? He throws one of the worst pass is one of the worst interceptions I've ever seen him throw. A bad night for Brady in prime time again. Yeah, Week one against the Saints. Pick six struggles Sunday night football. They lose 38 to 3. He struggles on Monday night earlier this month against the Giants struggles on Monday night against the Rams, Tom Brady. Picks and late game spots and bad performances in prime time. And when I when you try to diagnose what exactly is wrong with this bucks offense, this loaded fantasy football like Bucks offense that is now one into The Buccaneers are one into since they've added a B and, you know he's and know if he's still bucking up with Brady, but their bromance not resulting in a lot of touchdowns their way Brown was out of the end zone again on Monday night. And it's just 11 weeks into the season. I go back to that word, miscommunication the first interception as a textbook example of that. Chris Godwin, who's a very good receiver was going one way Brady was thinking the other way. And, Yeah, they hooked up for touchdown later in the game. All is not lost there, but it's just really not clicking. It's not clicking like it should and And one of the things that was one of the hallmarks for Brady with the Patriots, of course, was the short intermediate passing game and one of the Biggest components of that. Was where the running backs who could catch the ball out of the backfield Make place. Kevin Faulk was one of Brady's favorite third down options through the early Aughts. The early odds and the Patriots first Super Bowl run. And then in the second one of the dynasty, which Shane Marine and James White was a very good player and had huge Super Bowls against Seattle against Atlanta. Those guys were really rocks of the Patriots short passing attack. And what do we see tonight with the Bucks? We seed. We see Leonard for net dropping another pass, so we don't see Anybody out of the Tampa Bay backfield who can catch the ball and Brady needs that He needs the safety valve that that and that's not a knock on him. He's the greatest of all time. But in New England, it's Kevin Faulk. It's James White underneath. It's these running backs. You can catch the ball. Get you that first down get you those junk yards. Julian Element. Wes Welker. These guys underneath Brady. Hasn't really found that in Tampa Bay. He's trying to turn Scotty Miller into Adelman White. It hits it, Mrs recently. It's been a lot of missing and you know Chris Godwin fits that prototype. But As we've seen, they're still not on the same page. So it's a lot of deep passes toe Evans and drunk over the middle, which was always a staple of the offense in New England, of course, but drunk to say the very least, has lost many, many steps, so that's not the same, and there's just not a rhythm. To the Buccaneers offense that that that's the word for it with the Patriots and Brady and Josh McDaniels and Bella check in the operation they had going on. There was a rhythm there was a flow to the offense. There really is not that with the bucks and at Brady's biggest weapon honestly. His pass interference when it's not going well for him. He's turned into Joe Flacco circa 2012. You know just that That's it. Pass interference is A lot of ways. It seems like the way the Buccaneers are getting their chunk yards and you look at it tonight. Brady was one for nine on passes that traveled 15 yards or more through the air in and now he's 43. And even in his prime arm strength, the deep ball. Was never the best part of his game. He had a monstrous so seven with Randy Moss and the Patriots were an explosive offense for much of his time. There, of course, but This just Chuck kind. I'll just duck in shock kind of guy that that's That's never been Brady. And yet that is what he's been, for the most part the season with the Buccaneers and I think some of this is Brady. Learning the hard way that Sometimes the worst thing in life. Is getting exactly what you want. No, I don't mean to exaggerate this. Like this is the downfall of Tom Brady and the downfall of the bucking years there, seven and four. Do you think there'll be seven and five? After next week, They play the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. But they're looking at 10 and 6 11 and five. That's a playoff berth. Brady I mentioned has had some explosive games Mean on paper. This is certainly an explosive offense, but It's not cooking the way it should. It's too inconsistent. Brady's too inconsistent and He has every weapon he's ever wanted. Has his Binky drunk back. He has a massive red zone target. And Mike Evans. He has a guy and Chris Godwin, who's a real speedster as we mentioned he has. Is Ellman light. His Welker light his Scotty Miller. He has Cameron Breda's a second tight. Andy Leonard for Net is a bit player in this offense. He has it all. He has Control over the personnel, apparently with Antonio Brown and bringing him aboard and really strong arming that one through Bruce Arians can say now. Oh, yeah, You know, Antonio Brown's a changed guy never been charged with a crime yet to them. Have that sort case hanging over his head still, but hasn't been charged with a crime yet. He's a changed guy, mean Bruce areas can say all that, but we all heard him on these airwaves in March of Tiki and charity. And you see Antonio Brown fitting in with the fucking years? Absolutely not, Aryan said. I don't think you go that way all the way the other way without some strong arming without some influence. So Brady has it. He has all his guys including Antonio Brown, his bunkmates still for all we know. And they weigh another egg and prime time and they lay another egg against a good defense. So Tom Brady is struggling. Tom Brady has been sloppy this year, and he's finding out the hard way that fella check system that Patriots discipline. He needs it. 855 to 1 to four. CBS is the number that's 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. My name is Alex. Dreamer you've been seeing Tom Brady lighted up for 20 years, and he still does that to an extent this year. There's the Tom Brady is still a very good NFL quarterback. But he's sloppy. And at this point you can't count on him to make the big throw tow win the game. Patrick Mahomes. He's not. We saw it Monday that slipped away 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 will take your thoughts on Brady on the other side. It's Alex Riemer on CBS Sports radio before you drive the All.

"So this past offseason we saw a lot of running backs kept paid. Christian McCaffrey is a tweet from Alba Prayer. Four years $64 million. Alvin Kamara right before the start of the season, Got five for 75. Derrick Henry for for 50. Dalvin Cook five for 62, a half and Joe mixing got paid as well for for for $89.2 Million. So you look at some of the performances yesterday, Joe Mixon didn't do much with the Bangles Bangles late. We're driving through the touchdown pass the A. J. Green. It was one of those ridiculous offense of past interference calls that should not have been called. I know Camera had a It was a receiving touchdown yesterday. Um, you take a look at Dalvin Cook. That team did not play well up against the Green Bay Packers. And you see, Derrick Henry is going to be going up tonight. So, like, forget about what everyone did yesterday, the one thing I don't get it. Is Christian McCaffrey. They keep on telling you he's the best player on the roster. And he's more than a running back because you could have a discussion. Is it worth it to pay running backs this much money? Because you see some of the Recent Super Bowl champions, most of its running back by committee. Or guys that just get to the Super Bowl. You see the last year's Super Bowl? Kansas CITY, Kansas City, Damian Williams was their best running back. It's not a starter on him back. He's got a bell cow back. He's not playing. This year, they plugged in quite Edwards, a lair boom instantly. Fight over Taylor becomes a top 10 pick in Fantasy football. A team that went up last year re most most people don't even over he most there was before the NFC title game. I think he's still trying to score against the Green Bay Packers from the NFC title game. You see the Patriots when they've won? Rex Burkhead in the second day of the Dynasty. Rex Burkhead, James White, Shane Marine. Sony Michelle. None of those guys are Bell cow backs eagles when they want You had McGarrett Blunt You had the kid at 100 Yards receiving in the Super Bowl, 4 700 yards and touchdown. Corey Clement. Now there's no household names there. There's no bell cow backs there, except when your team like Carolina, and you use an early draft pick on the Caffrey eighth overall, you're going to pay him and you should pay him. He's like a player. Same thing for the Cowboys with Zeke. When you draft Zeke, fourth overall, you gotta pay him. How much of the Giants right now as it straight up then giants with 7 42 go Steelers. Get off the field. Oh, they're going to get their offense back on the field. Galaxy embarked the second overall you're eventually going to pay him. So you don't need to pay your running back. It depends when you take them and how good you think that running back is and a guy like Kamara and Henry in Dalvin Cook and Joe Mixon. And Christian McCaffrey. Those the guys that I'm okay with pain. Except if you pay them to things you look for. I think even Albert said this. Let's see with off. All those running backs are in two years. Cause when Todd Gurley got his deal, who would've thought Todd Gurley would have been cut that quickly with the Rams? Nobody. He got injured, though, and now he's in Atlanta on a one year deal. So I'll be curious to see where the guy's like McCaffrey, Camara, Henry Cook and mixing our In two years. When there's about Half for a little under half left on their deal, depending on how many years that they got. The basic the halfway point. The thing I don't get though for the life of me. Is when you have this Carolina Panthers football team, which is defense. We know it's going to be problematic that there was a reason why they drafted a defense supplier in every pic of their draft offensive that they got some players, though. You got Teddy Bridgewater, who? I don't think it's a franchise quarterback did a nice job. They'll fill them with the Saints last year. Some of that's easy to root for. You got McCaffrey, who may be the best back in the league. You got Robbie Anderson had over 100 yards yesterday how to touch down coming over from the Jets. I like Maur. The wide receiver, too. So you got some names there offensively. And I thought yesterday Carolina is going to be in the football game. I've unpicked them, plus the points and to win the game outright, because I don't trust Las Vegas. I don't I don't like car. I know Jacobs a heck of a player. And defensively. I don't think they're there yet with the Raiders. The thing I don't get, though forthem one. You're basically at midfield. And you hand it off to your fullback. That's getting too cute. That's a young coaching staff and don't get me wrong. If you listen to the show, you know how big of a fan I am of the Panthers coaching staff, but that's a young coach and staff getting way too cute. That's what it is. You have a back that you just paid for years. $64 million to you trying to go win the game. Have you run the football on this spot on fourth and one which you should It should be going to McCaffrey. Not your full back. If you get stuffed one yard out with McCaffrey, so be it. It wasn't meant to be. To get stuffed one yard out with your fullback. I'm not comparing the Caffrey to Michael Jordan, but you get the point. If they like it. The Bulls didn't give Michael Jordan a last shot. He's the best player on your team, and it's not even close. And when you're a young team, you could take risk, but take smart risk. Go down swinging and do the smart thing with McCaffrey. That's a bad job by Karolina yesterday and you know what? I'm probably on ly person on national radio in America that knows this because I went to Temple. That game yesterday. Here comes the most obscure reference here all week on a national radio that game yesterday, Raiders and Panthers Reminded me. I think it was a mat rules first year of Temple at Temple as that coach. When it was Rutgers and Temple. It was. Ah, Leon, Take Karu, who had a game winning touchdown pass If you remember that name But earlier in that fourth quarter There was 1/4 and two Temple ran out of the pistol. So, basically they're trying to get two yards and they were they were they hand the ball off. They were 45 yards out, which didn't make sense. It was that type of early blunder. That I didn't get. But that was that temple team that year. They played a lot of gritty games. They were in a lot of games. They were going up against UCF, Blake Bortles and J. J Warden. They almost won the game. It was ridiculous One end to catch the back left of the end zone at Lincoln Financial Field, caught by J. J Warden. So that's what Caroline is going to be. This year. There'd be some games they get blown out. Don't get me wrong. There's gonna be some games, all where they're close in it, and then they just make mistakes. And there's one thing to have the mistakes being made by your place. But the mistakes shouldn't be made by your coach and staff there, and this could be grown pains for young coaching staff. In a moment like yesterday. First game, though. Brady and rule have to give the ball to McCaffrey on that fourth and one year at midfield. Why do a fullback dive? And even if.

"Someone even listen is anyone can to be surprised if dion lewis could be the mvp of this game of course not james white maybe maybe maybe should have been last year shane marine changed the game against seattle so there is going to be a way against this fast eagles defense that they not only go in with a game plan but that they achieve just when they have to and that's why i think the patriots win the game yeah that's the hallmark of the patriots being able to address like that and obviously you mentioned with eagles need to do when you look at eagles defense you said they have a great front they're not a great defense what's the weakness of that eagles defense out in the corners aren't great now listen have they played better than people thought including myself after seeing them in training camp in knowing the personnel yeah they have they've played better but to me this is what happens in the nfl seasoning and you know that spread confidence starts they beat the giants the giants who were awful i'm not going to defend the giants here but they beat the giants in week three on a sixty one yard field goal although certainly chains both teams seasons the giants at one and two might actually feel like they have a chance the the eagles beating the giants sending them to own three the giants were cooked they were done and the eagles felt like they could win those kinds of games and then they went on and did it but i think the other players especially in the secondary have played better as their seasons gone along and they've gained confidence and listen the best way to help a defensive backwards you now was with a a great front apps that's how they've gotten this done i gives jim schwartz an awful lot of credit yeah he's done a great job in a.
