"Forty niners i. We always want to make sure you're up to date on the news on this show. So with brahima. Cirque on for the year john michael hasty out for a while with a high ankle. Sprain and trae sermon and elisha mitchell iffy for this week. The forty niners made a move at running back signing. Jacques says patrick off the bengals practice squad now before he was in cincinnati. Patrick was actually a member of the xfl's tampa bay vipers. Now he's not a burner. I believe you only ran a four six. Nine forty yard dash at florida state's pro day. But he is the biggest running back kyle. Shanahan has ever had with the forty niners. Six to two hundred thirty four pounds. He might not be able to run those outside zones but he's got some power there now. Let's get to the main point. I wanna make on today's show basically the forty niners communication and messaging. When it comes to trae lance stinks. Listen to this question and answer from kyle. Shanahan's conference call on monday. Plan not to use trae lance against the eagles. Or did the way the game unfold prevent you from inserting in place No i never have a plan that. I'm hey i'm gonna use her. I'm not gonna use them. Always an option throughout the game. I've been to games. And i've never had them in the openers and i've never had him as a designated time on doing that week to week and whenever i feel like putting them in you saw when i did and week one I never got that urgent week too. So there you go you just heard kyle say. He never has a plan that he's either going to use trae lance or not going to use them. Now listen to jimmy garoppolo on the rich eisen show yesterday after he was asked. If he gets a heads up before a game about trae lance potentially getting snaps sort of. I think you you kind of know what the situations You know the first game we got into the red zone and then they brought trae in but you know this game like we had plans for him to come in and it just didn't end up working out that way and you know it's kind of one of those things you got to be ready to roll. And when you know if he calls trae in their college and there it is what it is but You can't think about it too much. I'd say there you go. You just heard jimmy. Just said we plan to use him and it didn't end up working out that way. So what the hell's going on. Why is kyle shanahan. Not telling the truth. And by the way for the record. I get why. Nfl coaches. don't tell the truth. Okay i know they all lie. But here's the thing they lie for a reason okay. They lie to gain some sort of competitive advantage or at least what they think is a competitive advantage. But that's not what cow shanahan's doing. What is the competitive advantage of telling us whether or not he has a plan to use trae lance ahead of time or not from the beginning the forty niners communication about this whole situation has been horrible at different points. This off season kyle. Shanahan has set jimmy. Garoppolo is the starter. Then he said he'll play whoever's better then he said he's comfortable running two quarterback system going series to series or play to play. And now he's saying he never has a plan for trae. Lance and jimmy garoppolo is saying he actually does have a plan for trailer. It's it doesn't make any sense to me. And it never will. And i really wish that kyle shanahan would get challenged on some of this stuff because it's so so frustrating also later on in that interview with rich is and jimmy was asked if he wants to be in san francisco. Long-term you want to stay in san francisco. Is that what you want like to to be able to do. What rogers is done and brady obviously even did to you. Jimmy is that your play just cannot allow the organization to maybe move onto a drafted plan. Is that you know. There's a i don't know to be completely honest. I haven't thought that far ahead yet and one of those things that i'm so tied up with the season and everything we got going on. If if i could repeat with aaron did last year i would love to do that. That guy i mean. Mvp speaks for itself. Do a hell of a year though. So if i get you know replicate anything similar that i'd i'd be thrilled with it but you know after this year. We'll we'll figure that out when we get there you know it's We've got a long way to go. We're only a couple of weeks into this thing. That's a smart answer from jimmy. I mean i can't blame him for not wanting to commit one way or another. I can't imagine wanting to stay in san francisco much longer. Frankly after the team sniffed around every possible quarterback for two years including right. After i went to the super bowl and they trade three first round picks to move up to draft. One i get. Why jimmy garoppolo would wanna go somewhere else even though. I don't think he's a great quarterback from his perspective. He wants to start and he wants to be secure in his job every single week. That's natural. I mean anybody would want to do that. We always give you one thing to read one thing to watch and one thing. You might have missed something to read on this wednesday if you were already looking ahead to the game against the packers on sunday dalton johnson has a great piece on nbc sports bay area dot com about kyle shanahan and.
Raheem Mostert Injury Update: 49ers Running Back Exits vs. Lions With Knee Injury
"He most hurt left the game early for the forty niners as well. It's really just so unfortunate remo serves been plagued by injuries For for years now and and yesterday was no different left. The game early second quarter. I believe only had to What was it to to carries ers only two fantasy points for you. All we knew was that it was his knee kyle. Shanahan said after the game that he was going to get his knee further evaluated when they got to greenbrier. Those who aren't aware forty niners have a game in east coast. They are going to greenbrier and west. Virginia staying there this week for practice so he was expected to give further evaluated when they got there last night. Once we have those results will share them. Shanahan did say he did not He heard that they did not believe it was an acl so they thought that was encouraging but nothing further specific as of yet

"Kyle shanahan did not have a press conference on sunday but he did have a conference call and as you might imagine everybody wanted to know what kyle thought of trae lands performance. I wish i could have left him out there longer. No enjoys playing. He's only been able to play one game and Over a year. But i think it was good for him to get out. I think he started out. Good got a little excited. Sometimes but she does and you get a little excited your technique and stuff you lose on which will be fun to watch with them and raise a guy who's tough on himself and loves the correct things and since we've had him he's been very good at correct mistakes. That's a pretty positive assessment. Kyle considering that trae kinda did struggle. After that eighty yard touchdown pass. Why do you sound so excited about that. Though we all know trae has the ability to play well and do some special things. But that's not playing quarterback in the nfl. You gotta have the ability to get into the club but it's how you respond to adversity how you can play over the course of a game when you do make a mistake. Can you come back and make another big play. I'm not just about going out there. And keeping both teams in the game. You gotta go out there and find a way to win it for one team. And i think trays we try to put them in situations where he's building out and trying to get ready for games but nothing's more like that than actually playing the game firm to get his first nfl game. I thought it was huge for them. And i know there's a lot of things that he's going to already know without seeing us that he's gonna be hard on himself for and that he can get better and That's why i'm just excited to get a going away from the plant next to it is going to be a fun week for the forty niners if you don't know they're going to have joint practices with the chargers this week before playing ally in what is now because there's only three preseason games the dress rehearsal which is sunday against the chargers. And by the way did you catch that little thing at the end there. He said he's excited to see trae. Play the next two games. So that means he's going to play in week. Three of the preseason against the raiders. As well kyle also offered his opinion on some of the other rookies besides quarterback and he wasn't so pleased with running back. Trae sermon i to see a little bit more from them. I mean putting the ball on the ground. You got a lot of confidence and trey And i think he watches the game tape. You'll see that you can do a little bit more. I don't know if he's gotta clean. It looks as everyone else but putting up all on the ground in that situation can happen. And i expect him to do a little bit. Better get going forward simply put kyle. Shanahan hates turnovers. He hates it no matter what you do. If you don't take care of the ball kyle is not going to keep you around since he took over. The forty niners are minus thirty five in turnover ratio. That is dead last in the nfl. If you don't know what that means that means the forty niners have turned the ball over thirty five more times than they've taken it away from the other team. It is no wonder they have had losing seasons in three of kyle shanahan's for years trays sermon is going to have as big a role as i think he can have and a lot of people think he can have he has got to nip the fumbling in the but finally some injury updates for you rookie offensive lineman. Aaron banks is going to miss at least two to three weeks with a shoulder. Injury and undrafted free agent wide receiver austin. Watkins unfortunately played through a broken foot. He's going to miss the next six to eight weeks. In terms of good news the following players will return to practice today linebacker. Aziz i'll share dimitrios flanagan foles samson. Ebba cam michael pruitt and k. One williams all. We'll be back yay..
San Francisco 49ers' QB Trey Lance Signs Rookie Deal
"Trey lance in the forty niners have finalized his rookie deal. He signed a four year. Thirty four million dollar contract. That is fully guaranteed. They got the deal done just in time for camps open day. Kyle shanahan said yesterday. There's no open quarterback competition right now. Jimmy garoppolo is the starter and sri lance is his backup. Zach wilson is now the only unsigned first round pick.

"I'm rob stats guerrero and with me as always is levin black what up levin no actually got on the talk about for one see you say not a whole lot and then you then you follow it up with. We have something to talk about so clearly. There's something going on by the way. This is episode. Forty two of the niners nation podcast and there is only one choice for who we dedicate this episode today. Levin i'm giving you one shot and if you don't get it you cannot host any more shows on this network not can't think of any running lot. It is ronnie lott. This is usually the time in the pod. Where i kind of wax poetic about how good this person is. If you don't know how good ronnie lott was. Who lot was. That's on you google it. You need to do some homework before you finish listening to the rest of this episode. He's ronnie frigging lot. He's on the forty niners mount rushmore and that is that Kyle shanahan just spoke. He literally got off the podium moments ago as we record this and the big news of the day levin is that the forty niners have cancelled the mandatory minicamp next week. Now kyle went out of his way to explain. You know what. I'll play it for you. Here's kyw's explanation for why they are canceling minicamp. We're going to keep the rookie around here for a little bit. Some more than others kind of sided a while ago. We weren't gonna do many camp. I rarely do do many camping in nine hundred as in we should do one practice. We have like a team building thing having eighty nine guys here and getting seven oh. Ta practices in I felt great about it so you heard him saying they're eleven that they had great attendance. Today's and that they were planning on cancelling camp any way. And all this stuff about how this already in the works. My question to you is do you buy it. Yeah i guess. I would buy it. I don't think they had a plan months in advance. I think it depended on how many people showed up if he had something where some vets showed up in the beginning and some vets couldn't short week two. They probably would have had that extra week so that everybody gets the time but so many people showing up for it i think once they knew that they decided that they're not going to do the full. Ota that they need to many. I don't know if i mean. I doubt that he would drastically. Change the schedule But i i think it's also naive to say that the injuries had no part in it whatsoever. You know i. I agree that they probably had this in the works depending on how many guys showed up to. Ota's but the fact that they've already lost three guys for significant chunks. If not all of the season. I think that played a factor in whether he admits it or not. You're gonna be hard pressed to change my mind. I don't think it played a factor in it because those guys just got hurt at least two of them and that would mean that he did be reactionary because if it was up in the air and then two people get hurt. Nears all right. We're canceling one day later. Then that's him one hundred percent reacting to injuries. I think this was in the works long before those injuries in those injuries just made it even more cemented. The you were doing this. You mentioned the word reactionary. And that's something. That kyle said today. That i think is going to get him in a little bit of trouble. We're going to get to that But before we do. He mentioned that tha various more and justin school. Went down three plays a part in practice. That is unbelievable. He went out of his way to say that to various more injured himself on air. So it wasn't you know it was a non contact injury. Wilson injured himself getting out of a chair and then justin school said he put his foot down and his knee buckled. So kyle went out of his way to kind of explain away. The injuries like try and minimize it you know. He didn't wanna sound any alarms but he said one thing levin that i think is going to get him in trouble and i'm gonna play it for you. I think that if he could do it over again. I don't think he would have said this. We change every year a little bit. You know we always learn from stuff but to sit and say we're going to do training camp differently because someone got hurt getting out of chair because someone got hurt on and person hurt his knee playing football. It'd be pretty responsible me and extremely reactionary Just try to do. What's right for guys and providing football. We try to do the safest way as possible. I'm just saying it. Now if the forty niners have training camp and guys start getting injured that quote is going to resurface is going to stick to kyle shanahan forever. And i know for a fact. That grant cohen already. Has it highlighted saved and ready to go for his article that he's probably already typing up now as we speak. I take issue with that being brought back up if it ends up happening because the thing that you change isn't necessarily how you do practice. Yes there have been some coaches out there. And kyle might have fallen into this early in his tenure where they do way too much contact in practice that they're doing contact constantly and they have a little bit more of an old school mindset and that leads to more injuries. So yeah if you're one of those you should change but you don't change practices due to injuries you change. Who the hell you.

"I think everyone is that way. Women women the same way too. So i know there's an art because i've watched you do it and really by the way that's part of what i love about your product. You are the product you go on your very vulnerable. You're putting masks on. You're doing your eyebrows. You're you're showing me and other men how to do it. So there's an art to apply makeup. How should someone who has never used. These products learned to apply them. That is i think the biggest thing that i need to do as content creator and just as a brand in general is to make a lot of this information very accessible and so part of that is is me myself like we have a library of content on youtube in when customers get a product. We'll send emails like. Hey here's how using sealer. Here's these attended moisturizer out. We were getting a lot of questions about how to use it to The beard so video on that. I agree my beard out. I put it on. And then i showed like you know how to interact with the rest of your face. And so that's a huge part of it but then also Because it should never just be about me. The co founder should also. I'm trying to get more guys that can speak to this content for us whether it's different ages ethnicities skin tones. Everything else so you know. The first year that i've been doing this has really been like myself. Tiktok and trying to show these products in educate But now that we have this like really really rabid customer base in really big fans of the brand is like all right if you have a really dark complexion. You're dealing with a different skin issue than i could ever Demonstrate than please Video together so i can you know. Share that with our audience. In in show that these products can be used in different ways and xanthi regional. It's like if you're if you're doing the tin which is for c. pap machine. I never heard of that use case. That's great way to then share that with the audience more. I think that's the way that we make this more more inclusive and more accessible. I'll do that actually. I've been planning on joining c. Pap just to get rid of the shame for other people. But then i'll add to it. I don't mind showing them how they have all this readiness and how your product really put it on every day. Because i was. When i got to talk i could see more on the video and then you know using filters and i don't really like us though isn't it. Isn't that the worst. We saw a huge spike last year. Because guys were staring at their faces all day on zoom when everything locked down atmos like that became because we say that before before kobe we would always say like look. Everybody was on camera all the time. Instagram tiktok to you name. It like guys. Everybody is on camera more than ever all of a sudden literally. Everybody's on camera constantly. But i just. I don't wanna miss appoint that that i wanted to just touch on there as like you even mentioning that you wear a cpap machine to me is like the there is no matter. What whether it's health appearance looks. Anything is so important like my dad refused to wear cpap machine for years and he. He died of forty seven from a heart issue. But when i talked to the doctor so he had a heart issue they put him in a medically induced coma and they did brain scan and they said his brain is so damaged from years of sleep apnea if he had been wearing a c. Pap machine he probably would have been okay in even for him..

"In two thousand and nineteen. He co founded streaks considered a pioneer in the men's cosmetic industry. Welcome john why you can ta threatened by. Pr person That i wrote that. No i didn't listen. Thank you so much. I am telling you Since i started watching tiktok and found your your videos it has been really. I don't know i guess. I never realized how much i really needed. Cosmetics to say that they're ferment. I'm gay. I am not anti female or sexist or anything but something about the idea that you're you're promoting it to men just spoke to me. That's why i appreciate that. And actually we heard similar sentiments You there's definitely the the movement out there to be gender neutral and not really take a side on that sort of thing. But i think the way that the cosmetics makeup industry has played out in the past fifty years it's been so heavily marketed in catered to women that in order to get to a place where it is more gender neutral like there has to be that on ramp for most guys i. I was just literally morning. I was watching. My wife put a little bit of like blush on my four year old. She loves to wear blush in those. Who make up. And it's like this doesn't happen with guys and so it's from the beginning with with many women it's a very normal thing in with men. It's just not so you know whether you're a straight guy has never use it or a a gay man that has walked into a sephora or an ulta it's really all about choice in excess ability is one of the things. We're trying to really push forward. I'm glad you mentioned those two stores. Because i saw your videos on that too and i thought it is uncomfortable for me. Even if i go to macy's and i go to the cosmetic you know you're going to the female cosmetic part. It's okay but i mean i'm talking to a woman who's talking. Who is used to talking to other women about their skin. I just like the idea of a man talking to another man about how to deal with his own skin. I mean it just feels more relatable. Thanks yeah that's i think our two biggest You know goals has accompanied relates to de stigmatizing normally normalizing these products for men and then that goes hand in hand with the component which is where my background as an uber comes in is because as tiktok it's like just showing how a consumer can be put into a morning routine..
Rams superstar Aaron Donald upset at end of playoff loss
"The packers thirty two eighteen on saturday and heading into the weekend lindsay. You wrote that you were really excited to see this. Coaching matchup between matlock floor. And sean mcvay. What stood out to you in the battle of the minds here. Yeah i mean because these are two guys who know each other so well and you know. They're very much part of the same coaching tree. They both worked under kyle shanahan about the flora then works Under sean mcvay. So they have very similar offensive philosophies but that was just a game that was full of really interesting. Coaching matchups mallon floor wine. That batch up by far the packers had the better game plan. They were the better team better coach. All of this and sure aaron. Donald was not at full strength. You could tell that. He was very clearly hampered by the rib injury that he suffered during the wild card round but it was just a very impressive performance overall by aaron rodgers and certainly by matt leflore and that entire coaching staff the packers put up four hundred and eighty four yards of total offense against basically the best defense in the league. talked about aaron donald. Who's just a generational talent. Not being at full strength. But how is this packers offense. So effective saturday night. We'll everything they do. Obviously starts with aaron rodgers. Who just seem to have this innate mastery of what was coming and it kind of went viral on twitter a little bit because so many of fox's camera angles shown face on with aaron rodgers where you could see the moment that he realized what was coming that he was able to diagnose the coverage and dictate the play based on what was coming and the offensive line played really well protecting aaron rogers. He was barely touched. I'm not sure if his jersey had a single grass stain on after the game. And you know when you're not getting pressure on a quarterback and you're running the ball really well and you have davante adams who's one of the best wide receivers and football. It really wasn't even a close match up. And you know. I know a lot of people in green bay throughout packers land. Were wondering this is the best defense in football and it has to make you wonder. If that's the way that the packers aaron rodgers played against supposedly the best defense in football. What are they going to do for the rest of the

Thanks read all right. Thanks again to the president of the toronto. Maple leaves brendan shanahan throat. Punch not a big challenge. This week you know. I i i feel as the hockey gets going then. Obviously more game specific throat punching candidates for. You're going to emerge but renew at all surprised. Because i was at how much reaction there is been do the national hockey league selling ads particularly the helmet ads. I don't i don't. I don't understand why people care i don't care if there's an ad on the ellen or not that is my throat punch to the people that are complaining about this because in anything you do was advertising it so why can't the nhl advertise on their most notable product. Which is the players. So people always send. Oh yeah it's going to end up like this. Where the european teams have ads. All over their sweaters and pants and socks. I told you and i spoken about this. I went to the game and berlin last year landed was playing there right. Nobody looked like they weren't having a good time. That was the best game atmosphere. I'd been at in a long time. Remember back in the day. Because i was playing. I hate saying that. Jesus back in the day down anyway. There were no ads on the boards and when they put the first few ads on we were like. That's ridiculous those save never last. Now you're like you don't even notice them unless you see it in its advertising. What about the four places on the ice where the ads are what. I can't believe they haven't done. Why isn't there ads in the faceoff circles. That to me makes sense because everybody's stopped. You're not skating across the ad right where you might only catch a.

They want skilled players but brendan shanahan and he came up to the old school of hard knocks one year stanley cups with different teams. You described in detroit but that you advocate for toughness. is that a bit of a misconception. I would say it's probably a misconception. That that kyle. Sheldon don't also advocate for toughness sin and intangibles. And i remember the first you know for some i met kyle and in. I was seeing what he was building. Sault saint marie Obviously then what he did for the trauma rallies all of their teams if you look at the players that played on on those teams in the su- If you look at those teams have played for the marlies they. They had a real nice balance of of of really skilled players. Which which you need It also toughness physicality Intangibles and And i think it's important. Say like you know. Sometimes toughness is about showing up for battle sticking together as a team But but i'd also say that. I can think of lots of players hockey. That maybe have never had a fight in their careers. That are incredibly tough. And resilient in gritty and by the way champions with multiple rings so I think sometimes there's an argument that sort of going on in hockey. Maybe it's going on all in all sports this sort of like analytics versus old school I was curious about when. I first got hired. I tried to figure it out. I didn't really understand what the flight was about I've got less time for that argument. Now it's it's to me. It's it's information. And i think some people will will take a manager that that is considered to have top teams. They'll say oh he doesn't care about skill that's not true Then you'll take a manager that has a background in analytics. Say oh he doesn't care about toughness he only wants skill. That's not true either. I think if you if you wanna know what how we think as an organization i think we we want to have a balance we If look at some of the moves that kyle is done over the last two years once we establish that core of talented young players bringing in a guy like buzzing bringing in a guy like clifford. signing veterans. We've always. we've always had a guy like a polack but gauchan now like big tough guys that can sort of be big leaders in the dressing room. There's always been a value to it but until you win it's not going to really be recognized so we're all trying to do the same thing in the nhl all to win And you know. But i think that that's important to state that that you know. I said an interview recently like i. I've lost my appetite. Not nothing ever had navigate for getting carried off in stretchers. But i don't i don't really enjoy watching guys You know i think my time specially at the league. And as i got a little bit older my time league and Learning about headshots and illegal checks the head like that's not something we thought about In the eighties and nineties. But there's been an awakening there. And i think that a disdain for sort of those illegal plays Is sort of is just something that that everyone in management recognizes now More so than we did in the past but.
"shanahan" Discussed on The Ray & Dregs Hockey Podcast
"Joining us on the rain rigs hockey podcasts and shannon aiming regular season about to kick off six months no hockey. That's a long time for the players longtime for the staff. But i mean has to be a long time for you as well so will you must be looking forward to get things going again for. Sure i think. I think we're all not just us but society but you know in hockey mer discombobulated I know for for lifetime. Since i was a little kid. You know when. I talk about years or seasons. I they always. They don't necessarily start from january and in december thirty first. To your the way you remember years are oriented agassi's you know which usually start around september and and go till whenever the season ends and you get your summer your off season in lays at that that someday gets ingredient in us when we're takes and in pee wee's So it's it's been weird once in a while to be a training camp environment in pop your head up and look at a calendar and see that it's january or that you're playing hockey at august But we're all adapting. And i guess that's what that's that's the whole world is doing right now trying to adapt and figure things out. Try to get through this. Get through this time. When you know when the first lockout occurred channy we were playing and we all talked about how contacted the schedule was and how tough it was going to be and then it just kind of became what we did like. That just became the season right now. It seems like wednesday should be should be an exhibition game yet. It's a real game. And so how do you. How do you guys get ready that sprint and then you just have to kick it off like it's happening now. While we we ask our players to constantly be in in a state of an ability to read and react and adapt. You know your everybody has a game plan. It's like the boxing like everyone has a plan to they get punched in the face And it's it's the same in hockey you have a plan but you have opponents in. They're talented in the good coach. In good scouting. You're always having to learn to read and react in. And i think going into the season Aside from a first off some of the feedback that i think the league got from players after the bubble situation was that they didn't need as many exhibition games as they thought to get prepared for competitive intense hockey So so that was sort of an interesting perspective Talked to a guy like jason spasm who is a veteran now like he probably wanted four five exhibition games.
"shanahan" Discussed on The Ray & Dregs Hockey Podcast
"Tsn. Welcome to episode five of season two of the rain rates hockey podcasts. We've got toronto. Maple leafs president. Brendan shanahan coming up here. On the bottom man. We've been waiting for this week for a long time. Haven't we right. I mean hold on a second. You've actually been working doing hockey games a lot with world junior championship. I've been waiting for this week for a long time. Still kind of hard to believe that we're already here while it seems to.
Thirty-two NFL Awards
"Every week on this podcast given out. Nfl awards app. The week is over. This could be a bit ambitious but thirty two teams thirty two awards. Let's go we're gonna call this one the best six and ten team of all time award but the washington football team stepped up so now he renamed it already way to change the word on the fly in the moment with breaking news the best seven and nine team of all time award the washington football team now can we say that definitively it may be too early to say last year tampa atlanta both went seventy nine. Those teams didn't even make the playoffs so the early lean is that washington could be the great one of all time. But we don't know yet. Speaking of that game. The clockwork orange award goes to the new york giants because they had to watch i at one point. This season banned myself from nfc east games. I said i wouldn't watch any until the teams are over five hundred. I watch step drop sixty two instead of being super locked into washington philadelphia. And i don't feel like i miss much. I know there's a lot of controversy would get that. Maybe a little bit later but imagine having your eyeballs taped open like clockwork orange and being a member of the giants having to watch that game. Nate sub-field now. Look we can sit here and be upset about it but you could have gone seven nine and got into the playoffs. So how sorry. Can you really feel for the giants the skeletons on the zahara award. Yes some of these awards. We referenced. his some won't get boy when you do get a weird one. You're gonna go man. I get that all right. That award goes to the. Las vegas raiders. Because at the beginning it looked promising. Nice little boat trip trade. Some spices await were crashing into rocks. Not a big deal here. Some locals gathering on the beach here to help nope now. We're marching to our own death in africa so it was very pro gruden. Hey maybe this gruden guy knows what he's doing and then you're like wait. Does this actually suck again. The drought continues. The raiders have not won a playoff game. Since two thousand to the notre dame award that goes to the green bay packers great record high green. Bay's really good. They're thirteen three though the one seat but nobody outside of their own fan base is rooting for this team. Not only because of the history of hatred. Although i imagine there's way more anti notre dame stuff out there than it is anti green bay but no one trusts you. Yes you're thirteen and three but that's three. Nfc conference championship game losses in the six seasons. A couple down years. They've turned this thing around. They are the one seed. But everybody's kind of overt already before. It's even started the parent's weekend award that goes to the new orleans saints. You guys know the deal parents weekend. There's a dad he wants to stay out with you guys. And he's older he's a little beat up and you're like i don't know like we're going to go out. We can't say no. We respect him too much. It doesn't look great. Doesn't make a ton of sense on paper there's some bad stats in there. But you have to let them do it. You have to let them try and the thing is is you and your buddies like there's no way does this is going to end well. The iceman award that goes to the dallas cowboys man and dangerous. What is with this jolt. A don't let us get hot. This is insanity when this was part of the story lines throughout the cowboys broadcast. Yes you on three in a row. Cincinnati san francisco and philadelphia yay. Then you lost the giants at home. You came in eleventh in the nfc but if you were to get in look out. This is now. It's our time you were eleventh in your own conference dangerous. You had sixteen games to prove that you're only dangerous to your fan. Base is or perhaps the understanding of what the word danger beans the g. league award san francisco forty niners. They had twenty eight players. At one point on i r or another injury cova list which was most in the league. They use the most. I are slots. They lost the most games to injury in the nfl. And even with losing record my coach. kyle shanahan. i can't believe how competitive they were. All season law the dabble award. That goes to kirk cousins in the vikings bike. He's gonna win. Nah no one really cares are one in five star people already over this team so their disappointing season was so disappointing so early that it was just all of a sudden just completely off the radar even though they turn some things around there a bit in the middle of the season with dalvin cook but watching cousins dance reminded me of daboh announcing his tiktok account hickory vickery dot mouse ran up the clock coast. Sweeney's got that drill and now he's on tiktok.
Wilson, Lockett help Seahawks rally for 26-23 win over 49ers
"Turn it. Hand called his time inside. The ten inside the five touchdown seahawks back. It's up five. Doesn't matter alex collins is gonna punch it in for you anyway. Steve ray will. Kiro with the call outs. Columns ran for eight yards on a yard score. Russell wilson threw two fourth quarter. Touchdown passes the tyler lockett the seahawks rally twenty six twenty three win over the niners They end twelve and four. The seahawks four game winning streak But they are locked in at the number three seed. because of the saints packers winning the seahawks will host the rival rams in the wildcard round next week and mark. How good you feel about the seahawks. After today's game i would. I'm concerned about their offense. It's almost like a flip inverse relation to where they were earlier in the year. Where the offense was we watched it through the air. We had russell wilson pegged as a potential mvp because of how they were allowing him to play and how decay metcalf antilock. We're playing and the defense was all the concern. I mean lock it today. Set a seattle seahawks record for receptions in a season decay metcalf set a franchise record for yardage in a season but a lot of that has to do with the compiled numbers from earlier on this team. At one hundred and nine yards the start of the fourth quarter. They couldn't run the ball and it took a very typical seahawks. Finish the tyler lockett touchdowns and the alex collins dash for a score. I mean they came up late in a game where i would put this a little bit into divisional game against cal shanahan. Who robert sala. Who thought again. It's been weeks in a row. Coaching lights out. I'll made things real tough for seattle seattle things tough for the niners in the opposite way just sort of a typical nfc west beatdown and this niners team. They keep flashing to the box up in the sky where like star players not in the game. I mean they're doing with nobody and seattle. They work themselves out of a funk to some degree. do i trust them
Jalen Hurts inspires Eagles to victory in first NFL start
"At least for one week philadelphia. Eagles fans can feel confident with the caliber of play. They got from the quarterback position and jalen hurts leading philadelphia to the outright upset as an eight point. Underdog against the seemingly unbeatable new orleans saints. The eagles offense showed a little bit of a pulse and the saints defense was nowhere to be found in the first thirty minutes where they surrendered more than three hundred yards. It's kyle shanahan could've done his job. The eagles would have been or would be right in the thickens. Visger that divisions a mess. I mean every time you want to give them credit for making strides ford. They they pull you back in and like you said kyle shanahan and company allowing washington to get the improbable win. But i digress silly. Despite the washington win increase their playoff chances by about seven or eight percent. So there's still a fighting chance you mentioned this game and that's what it came down to is getting out to a quick start. Philadelphia thought for the first thirty minutes. Did a really good job. And they control the trenches. Which is a little shocking. Because you had this. Eagles offensive line that was was really depleted. You've lost peter's as well in that's against one of the more talented defensive front fours in the nfl. The new orleans saints miles sanders woke up and decided to contribute. You'll get the eagles offense. Ten point four yards per russian. At first half fifty percent rushing success rate for explosive runs all in the first half. Doug peterson game plan to me was was pretty good. The script resolved the playcalling was decent in. the eagles. did enough in the first half to hang on for dear life in the second. Come away with that win. And and keep themselves alive defensively. I thought before what feels like every single starter for the eagles left the game in the second half. Billy did a nice job defensively in that first. Thirty minutes stanzas. Well three point six yards per play allowed thirty three percent success rate allow tastes. Him only ran at twice in the first half. He was semi accurate throwing it. What it was just really short. Four point three yards per attempt in that first half so across the board that might have been the eagles best half football. This season they were. They were fantastic in. It was certainly against a team that had more talent. It just looked like philadelphia. Wanted it more along. The lines of scrimmages
'Mr. 80 Percent,' An Intimate Portrayal Of Surviving Prostate Cancer
"We're talking about prostate cancer why we don't talk about it because of issues like incontinence, impotence, men's private parts, and so forth I'm joined by Boston Globe Mark Shanahan who is out with a new podcast Mr Eighty percent, which tells the very personal story about his own prostate cancer and a warning again to listeners, we are talking a very frankly about this disease about sexual function and so on and so forth, and so this might not be suitable for younger listeners. We just want to put that warning out there. mark I want to talk a little bit about how this diagnosis it didn't just affect you affected your loved ones too. So your audio, your daughter Julia was in junior high when you were first diagnosed. So I want to hear a little bit of the two of you talking in episode one of Mr Eighty percent. I think I just took it to like. Like he actually died I would basically lose my best friend. This is my daughter Julia she's in college. Now they say like we're not your best friend like where your parents by. Having. Cancer means you get a preview of what your kid might say at your funeral. You're the funniest person I've ever met I. Think one of the most supportive and hardworking people I've ever met and. I also think you one of the most intense people I've ever met and you have a very impressive career, and so I always like looked up to that and by impressive you mean I have talked to Bj. Novak. You took me to Taylor concert. She gave me her bracelet, right? So. So that's a cut from Mr Eighty percent I'm here with Mr, with Shanahan and mark that's really touching moment. But say a little more about that because you make this, you spend a lot of time in this podcast talking about. The effect that this has on your entire family, and by the way the way your wife stepped up in heroic ways and supported you and this is a huge theme about in this story. It's true Anthony that You know you just can't anticipate something like this and and again it's the nature of this disease that you know. This was something that as my surgeon says, at some point in the podcast, you know when you're when you're treating. Prostate cancer patient, you're really treating the couple. And So Michelle had a heavy lift Michelle, your wife correct. I should say right Michelle. My Wife. And she was Extraordinary and But so it's a learning process. For she and then in terms of our children. You well, I Beckett we would like to get back into the podcast but your son as fifty s fifteen year old boy now and You know we wanted him to say, well, we're going to have to talk about our penises and that was. He he just wasn't willing to go there. So again, it's it is. You know we say in the podcast that you get the cancer but everybody's life changes and you know I I don't think that unless you go through something like this, you can really appreciate what that means but I. Certainly do i WanNa talk a little bit about Get get you to talk a little bit about the course of treatment that you opted to follow. So so walk us through first of all the options that you had to consider. When you were first diagnosed well. So we want to also say that because prostate cancer. So slow growing and because many men who are diagnosed are much older I think that people should think very very carefully before embarking on any treatment that there is something called active surveillance, which means we watch it we pay attention to it. And but but. For Myself I was young I had two kids. I had forty years may be to live and. I had a gleason score, which is a score after they give you your biopsy and take a look at what's happening they grade basically of the severity of the intensity of your cancer in mind was seven. Out of ten that's considered to be intermediate I guess you know the options for me were to watch it to have surgery. Or to a radiate my prostate and. In, the end there have been enormous advances in the treatment of prostate cancer over just thirty years. If I had gotten prostate cancer fifty years ago. I. would be rough rough rough. And not just for me every man who had a prostatectomy which is surgical procedure to remove your prostate. before nine, hundred, eighty, two, left the hospital impotent every single Guy which is just incredible to me because nineteen eighty two is not that long ago. Right, it is incredible. So you went for the surgery but I did but that wasn't the end of your ordeal surgery. It turns out we learned didn't get all the cancer. So you had to go back and sign up for pretty radical course of hormone therapy, and this is really the most excruciating part of your journey to read into here about you describe it essentially as a kind of. Chemical. Castration. Well. Indeed and I don't just describe it that way. That's in fact what it is It removes the testosterone from your body and the reason that we do that is because it's the thing that feeds the cancer prostate cancer. Grows Thanks to to Saas thrown. So if you removed from your body to cells cancer cells week in some cases they die and then when they're at their weakest blast them with radiation. The problem is that when you take a testosterone out of a man's body it is a as you say excruciating I became a different person. ahead you know the the euphemism is mood swings. I didn't have mood swings had a I had tantrums and I will say that I was on the phone this morning, the guy who listened to the first three episodes of the podcast and. He. said, he'd never talked to anybody about his course blueprint and he was arrested he actually got arrested. Because a parking garage. because. He could he he got completely out of control. So it's scary. And and you know now as I sit here. There's you know at this surgery if if the prostate cancer should return, there is no surgery there is no radiation. Those are no longer alternatives. and. The prospect of more loop ron or any kind of hormone therapy is really terrifying
The top waiver-wire pickups for Week 3 of fantasy football
"Tap waiver wire picked for me this week. Is going to be 40 Niners runningback Jerick. McKinnon makes sense. McKinnon is available currently in 73% of ESPN League, so widely available and with the most injury, coupled With Kevin Coleman also being gone for a couple of weeks. This seems like an opportunity for the big free agent signing for Kyle Shanahan Step up and have Ah productive week and at least for a couple of weeks. I think he's the at least for this week. I think he's definitely the best ad long term. Maybe not because most it will return. So if you're just looking for help for this week, maybe a couple of weeks. Jerick. McKinnon is your best bet this week on the planet Jets, other playing A. Who cares? The Giants there. Still, I stayed in New York and you look the Giants Steelers. The Bears have run the ball on the Giants, and they stayed in New York. They're playing the Giants, so I would think that that's they're going to try to ground and pound. This is saline advice is always from the update and grapple is positive, right? Like they think he's gonna play? Yes, Okay again, though, it's it's obviously Tuesday, so it's hard to say anything definitively. But my cannon is the top waiver wire pick up, especially If you're hurting at running back, and if you have sake one if he had most, sir, if you had McCaffrey, and now you're starting to Sergio. Look, Yorgos got to start Jamal Williams from crying out. I got Jamal waves in my story. You might be hitting your waiver wire to pick up Jack Kennedy on the can, For sure, he's gone in one of my All right. Who else? Hide Let me fire Rams running back. Donald Henderson was highly drafted. You have Malcolm Brown, who left last week's game with a finger injury, along with Who's the other Ocampa and left with a rib injury as well. So Darnell Henderson stepped in. I think I believe you had 80 total yards from scrimmage. So Donald Henderson is my second ad. He is available in 54% of leagues. 50 44. That's good Darnell game this week. Rams and Bill's about it to Owen omits to know that those of a good man, that's an exciting game. This's now I'll give you a couple of guys right here. One's more of a long term play. The other is going to be a better bet. Immediately, but probably not for the long term. Joshua Kelly, Los Angeles Chargers, he is it looks like he has stepped right into the Melvin Gordon roll from last season. Austin Heckler obviously, is the main running back that you want with the Chargers. Things were better. With Justin Herbert under center. It's undeniable. Tyrod Taylor comes back. I'm I'm not nearly as enthused, but I have a hard time believing Anthony Lynn is just going to give the ball back to Tyrod Taylor. If Justin Herbert continues to be productive, why
NFL fines three head coaches $100K each for not wearing masks on sidelines
"Up weak, too. Showcasing Las Vegas league was coming down hard on those Who haven't been following protocol. Last week, NFL sent out a strongly worded memo that said coaches had to wear masks on the sidelines and the NFL felt like there were three coaches that didn't do it this weekend. Vic Fangio, Denver Call Shanahan, San Francisco. And Pete Carroll in Seattle. It find each those head coach is $100,000 and find each of those teams $200,000 over a million dollars in fines for not wearing mess and the league might not be done after watching tonight's game, ESPN insider Adam Schefter, noting the three coaches who have been fined. Vic Fangio, Pete Carroll and Kyle Shanahan. But the league may not be done. Shafter referencing the Monday night football game, Raiders coach Jon Gruden seen wearing his face mass, like a changed rapid times during the wind. Over the Saints. After the game, Gruden telling reporters, quote I'm doing my best. I've had the virus. I'm doing my best. I'm very sensitive about it. I'm calling plays. I just want to communicate in these situations that if I get fined, I'll have to pay the fine, but I'm very sensitive. About that, and I apologize. Three coaches find on Monday as you heard hundreds $1000 each plus an additional $250,000 Breach of their team. The NFL had sent the memo last week after Lax adherence to protocols during week one of the NFL season. Robert Kraft had
New York Giants Confirm Saquon Barkley Tore ACL, Out For The Season
"There are terrible injuries all over the NFL yesterday alone. Nick. Bosa. From the niners Saquon Barkley from the giants both suffered torn ACL statistics show that through two weeks nfl record twice as many significant injuries as last year. It's actually at least six players suffered a torn acl including just recently Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin Eleven, injuries to starters in the one o'clock games alone John Do you think these injuries have something to do with the fact that there were no preseason games. Well. For example, the Rams don't play any of their starters in preseason games I think is in the spirit of your question i. think it has something to do with no camp no real camp they kind of shotgun training camp and I don't know how you could make the opposite argument that it has nothing to do with it. I wouldn't tied to preseason games what I would do it to the fact that there was very little tackling. Yes in. The game started and the other thing is I know Kyle Shanahan the niners felt like the field wasn't ready like the field I think he played in the meadowlands and he's got play there again next week because he played the jets and now he's GonNa, play the giants. Players on both teams going down. So I don't necessarily think that the facilities were one hundred percent prepared either I think again, I think the spirit of your question is the fact that they fast tracked everything and started the season. Because of Covid is that having any do with the injuries I don't know how you could say it doesn't I think it has to yeah. I mean I I completely agree I mean between training camp and preseason games where guys at least get a sense for what they get a reminder of what getting hit is like. I think they're I think they would be better off. It is an extraordinary number of injuries and none worse than Christian McCaffrey who's gone for four to six weeks and his the stalwart of my fantasy team just loyal to John Ireland how about? Yeah. I cleaned your clock thinking Matt Ryan. But. How about how about Saquon out for the year? Yeah. Entirely out for the year Bosa gone for the with a tornado. And that means that the giants I. It might be a race between the giants and the jets who the worst team football is. The whole new. York City area has to just garbage football teams because the jets are a mess and now the giants have no running game. So it's going to have it's going to have after-effects. All these
Final 53-man roster projections for all 32 NFL teams
"We're to get into the fifty three man roster. So today, we're going to make some projections I did a roster projection heading into training camp was on July twenty seven I had Jalen Hurd making the team I had Sean Coleman making the team. I had a few other players that they're just not going to make the team for whatever reason. So we're going to do that again today after trying to cap after all the news after everything we've seen and read and it will let's just compare to see what's changed since. So start with the first things first quarterback, Jimmy, Garoppolo, nick, mullins, CJ, Beathard I think they all make the roster I. Don't think that that's going to be very you know very controversial. It should be. I mean yeah. I I. Agree I all three of them making the roster as well. Especially, this season with Cova did I imagine that most teams will try to carry three quarterbacks if they can especially just given you know you never know. What happens if Garoppolo or mullins or you know they were to test positive or whatever the case is right and they were mistime than having Beth who understands the system? He's not great by any means just having them in the building is going to be advantage. Advantageous this season. I made this comment to someone else earlier Beth. `Red to George Kettle is Kinda of like you know James Jones or Mike Miller was. and. Lebron he's like teams back in the day. He used to have like those guys like travel with him. I think CJ beathard and George kind of like that George must have somewhere in his contract that Caesar method must be on the roster wherever he is. Those our buddy buddy but jokes, apart I I think all three of them will will make the team. So that's funny. You say that because Caitlin Beth one throwing to kill this off season for the most part it wasn't. Garoppolo. So maybe there is this weird clause in the contract right? I mean I feel like I could make a stronger argument where you carry two quarterbacks as opposed to three just playing the odds last year I can understand it as you know Garoppolo is coming off an injury. So you want to just protect your quarterback you WanNa make sure that you know united last minute fishing for a quarterback but you know he's out there he looks comfortable. No knee brace. In just in this situation I just can't understand a situation where. What are the odds that your third quarterback plays a snap in the regular season game just play the is I imagine that's less than ten percent very, very low at imagine. Right if we're going to do that, yet are the likelihood of a quarterback testing positive for having that whole situation happened shared night. There's a possibility that can happen without. It'd be a risk that I'd be willing to take, and I would much rather have you know a position player as opposed to you know a third string quarterback that major. May Not like the is that he throws a pass on likely and he's not going to help you in special teams or anything but that's I mean that's a Shanahan's ways and I don't see that changing I. Wonder if that will change you know this year with mullins and method both moans is a restricted free agent, right? Yeah. MULLENS will be back. He's restricted free agent. CJ BEATHARD is directed So hopefully, this is the last we've seen of method. CONHAM. I. Hope they don't some deal but Yeah it's tough. Especially, you know when you're having. Debates over other positions trying to like squeeze some other guy and you've got who's affected taking roster spot and like you mentioned, what are the odds that he plays right? but just given. Kyle and where they draft method and what they're trying to do I think they're gonNA, they're gonNA keep him on the roster rather than just swallow their pride and cut him. So both said before the pod before we hit record, this is what we think is going to happen not necessarily what we would do if you were in charge fifty, three man roster so.
How the pandemic is affecting music venues in Chicago
"It's great to talk to you. And for people who don't know Joe Shanahan, he is the man behind Metro Club Chicago and also G Man Tavern. And smart Bar. And Joe. You're the man that we need to talk to about the health of our music venues. And what's happening with this pandemic? How you how you holding up? Good morning And thanks for having me on Bob, You know, I think about the history that I've had with you. You were the first interview I did almost 40 years ago. That man you're with. A local affiliate. When I ran my first club here in Chicago, so you know here we are. You know Metro's going to celebrate its 38th anniversary and 2020 and Not quite the way that we wanted to, you know, basically tell you straight up, You know we need and trying. We're trying to figure out funding and relief from the state, the federal and the city level. We were state mandated closures on the march on March 13th trying that their team was the last Basically day of business at Metro, Um, and it is called all the music venues across the city to close their doors. We will be that we were the first to close and we will be the last to re open. Um, we don't see opening until we have some kind of Immunisation Andorra vaccine, So it's imperative that we protect the great music community. The great music venues right here in Chicago, and, uh, just so you know, quickly. I mean, my my list call if every day was managers, agents, bands, you know, creatives. My call is now is, you know might quickly Dick Durbin. You know, Doc words. You know, we're calling on the governor's office. The D O e B A G P. I know more initials for Ah, people here in Chicago, Illinois. Washington lawyer thought I wouldn't know. But that's really what it's all about, is just trying to figure out a way to keep the venues in mothballs until we can safely reopen because no one part of civil, the Chicago Independent venue League or never, the National Independent venue Association wants to be open until we can do it safely for the public. Yeah, I was reading about the Chicago Independent venue League and the hashtag save our stages and very important, important. That's a collection of more than 20 local music venues and Joe your place there, 37 30 North Clark and your long established and not that you don't Have to struggle through these times with some of these other clubs are not going to be as fortunate. How many do you think will not be able to reopen? How many are we going to lose? How many music venues around Chicago are going to go away for good? Well, first. I don't think that we're sitting on a pot of gold at 37 30. We're in the same fight as you know the hideout. Lincoln Hall, Sheba's Value Hall. You know, Rose's lounge across the city, you know, sleeping village So many of the great new and established then use such as the Big Theatre. The Riviera. You know, Jam Productions is involved in our fight, too. You know it. It's not easy to look at a business where you have no revenue. And you're trying to pay utilities rent mortgages insurance license. Now we've gone to the city of Chicago on ask for some kind of rebate or mention painting even on our licenses. You know, there's been some help. There did not help we need. We need a longer runway. For most of these businesses. We did nothing wrong. There isn't a business failure here. This's a state mandated closure. A public health issue were very much aware of how serious it is, and we're looking to your audience and everyone would be listening. To help support state of our stages Single, the Chicago Independent venue League as well as the National independent, then you association across the board, even small businesses like, um, help that we get from the hospitality Business Association in Chicago, the H back group. They're hoping the bar side that you're helping the talent side of things. But Bob Honest, $1 that expend every single ticket Metro or any of the venues. $12 goes into the local businesses around the bank used for food for bar uber from public transportation. We've done a study on this and quite honestly, the impact He's not just a concert or going to a club, the impact all of the businesses around and surrounding us.

The Fat burn Fix And Our Growing Susceptibility To Viral Infections - With Dr. Cate Shanahan
"Welcome to the model. Show this fitness and nutrition expert Shawn Stevenson and I'm so grateful to be tuning today. This episode here I am so pumped about. This is one of my favorite physicians. One of my favorite scientists and she's got a new project is really helping shed some light on a very very misunderstood topic in this the topic of body, fat. Sustain that we tend to see is a very cosmetic target is a very cosmetic issue for hundreds of millions of people right now, but in truth, our body fat is a major player in so many different dynamic ways as far as our health as far as our ability to fight infections, viral infections, even and I think that this is going to be incredibly enlightening and something that you're going to walk away with having a better understanding of this. Incredible tissue that we're all carrying around in what's led to the surplus that were carrying around for many of us, and also some more intelligent ways that we can address this in not just for cosmetic issues, but to truly get our society healthier. And hope that you've been employing different strategies to get yourself healthy right now, and also your loved ones. It's more important than ever to reach out. Make sure that our friends and family are doing some of the basic necessities of just getting some fresh air, going out and walk move their bodies, engaging in some stress management practices, and we've done episodes dedicated to these things, and also making sure that they're getting in some high-quality foods as well as supersport right now, but we just recently went on our first outing since the corn team began first outing to a restaurant with our FRIZZ nextdoor, nextdoor, neighbours, families both wint. And it was very a felt like I was visiting another planet, I definitely felt a little bit like that scene and back to the future when Michael J. Fox goes back to pass, and he's got like a has met suit on, and he winds up in a barn, and these folks happened upon him in his hands. Matsue with this delorean in the sign has his comic book. which is like the cover? The Comic Book Kinda shows what the future looks like are. These alien invaders look like. So just to get into the restaurant you walk through. The. Lobby is about five feet of lobby, and you have to wear masks. Go through the five feet, but then there people already there sitting at tables there socially distance. Of course you know one table apart, but they've got. You know they don't have mask on because you can eat with a mask on yet. Until maybe we get permanent mass installed on her face faces in little openings, but the science there. Wasn't really accurate. You know like that five feet, but then once you go pacify feet. Take your mask off, and you can each her. You know whatever your therefore, but he's a very strange experience. Because the waitress had on, the has metsu she had on the face shield. She had on the mask at that point I was like why be here in like there's so much that goes into it, and it's so abnormal. We should just go ahead and you know. Make dinner ourselves have family. Get together something like that. It's just an added. stressor is so much uncertainty in all. The tables had to be labeled that this table has been sanitized in, you know. We've hit it with the flame thrower all these different stuff just to feel comfortable going outside, and it was like this was like a you know there's a strip mall and everybody is just a very dystopia and situation, and this is the situation that we're facing right now. There is a very infectious. Virus that is that we're dealing with as a society and at its core. We Really WanNA. Look at this what we've been dedicated to. How do we get our citizens healthier? so that were not as susceptible to this virus in the mini viruses that are to come because this is right now. This is just the first of many that we're going to be faced with as humanity you know, and the thing that is overlooked in that I've really been working to up level the conversation is. As a species? What are the things that make us more susceptible to viral infections? What are the things that we can do to help? Improve our bodies response because in truth we've had such a relationship with viruses throughout human evolution that we are in fact, the human genome is eight percent over eight percent in dodge in his viruses that we are. Our genome is made of. We've had such interaction with viruses. We are made viruses on that level talking about our human genome, what our jeans are made of the human genes with the things that make us human. We're part virus. And even more tangible aspect because I think there's really a hard pill for us to swallow as society right now that we are virus ourselves. But you know this is something that we can test track now. We have some affirmation to the fact that we all are carrying upwards of three hundred trillion virus particles in and on our bodies all the time. We are. We're like a playground for viruses and. Pathogenic! Many of them Symbiotic. But this equation really plays into. How healthy are we interact with other people's virus load? How healthy are we or what can happen to damage our health immune system health that even the pathogenic viruses that were carrying right now can become opportunistic and take advantage of our system and make us sick.
Breaking down Trent Williams' trade to the 49ers
"Trent Williams dealt from the Redskins to the forty Niners for five today in a three next year and we're breaking it down as you just heard the guys drafted by Kyle Shanahan and Trent Williams is a talented guy and if you look at the forty niner list of to do list today are coming into this traffic should say replacement for Buckner check can log the impact wide receiver who can start opposite Deebo Samuel check brand in the UK left tackle replacement for Joe Staley check Trent Williams would yes thanks I I I mean it it's it's it's it's pretty awesome I mean I I'd be it can't be that simple I mean can you just can you just go in the draft in in it that you would think is what you're supposed to do you you you you talk about the team that you know the one that wins the NFC west you go to the Super Bowl you miss the Superbowl basically by one play and and and you want to get better and I think after the Superbowl in after free agency you you start thinking whether the team is not as good as they used to be I think if you look at the team now I mean you would have to think that you know they are as good or better then they were going to the Superbowl yeah I I mean you only hold off on saying that is because we haven't seen this combination of guys play together yet put Trent Williams is a like I just got a text from our buddy Kevin Francis a good pick great pick

Would Tom Brady to the 49ers make any sense?
"NBC. Sports Boston's Tom. Curran told our old friend Chris Mad Dog Russo on his radio. Show that the chatter chatter connecting. Tom Brady to the forty niners as quote real now again. I heard that in India by the way before went on the air and said it. I had heard that Which I dismissed it as A. That's ridiculous and then I would assume the heard it as well and because he's a master at disseminating information played it. As you know I got an idea. This is crazy but out here you know but that that was as early as Friday Thursday. That was kicking around here. Jimmy Garoppolo the details of it are pretty fascinating the time that current said it was from both sides. Oh of course. Tom Brady wants to play for the forty niners. He's looking around the league possible teams to play for that. I can't come up with a better pick. Not just because he is his favourite teammate. And I mean that's the starting point. The next would be how how good they are and how Santa me everything's raincoat. And the fact that the forty niners have some mutual interest. According to this report is what and put yourself Garoppolo shoes. You have a really. You got traded from Tom. Brady's team across the country. You have this great ending to the season with the niners. Then you play your Tom Brady in two thousand nineteen you blow out your knee. Very frustrating comeback. You improve as a player. Maybe you're not all the way there where you're superstar. Maybe you'll never be that guy but you have a better season than Tom Brady. Your team goes to the Super Bowl and has a double digit lead in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl. And now you're hearing that the guy that you had go three thousand miles across the country to get out from under Mike. Come back to you. That's a tough situation stinks. But I would say that you look back when the trade happened. There were whispers that the forty niners had inquired about Tom. Brady not even whispered. I mean that was out there. And secondly if you're Tom Brady and you you're gonNA leave Josh mcdaniels in this embedded patriots environment for team x and you have no idea what really is happening to the one team. I could trust if I'm Tom Brady going teaming with Kyle Shanahan and seen how that two year process will play out the first one where I thought this is the first brady remember. It makes sense on his side. I don't know how it makes sense for the forty niners but it does make sense for Tom. Brady well there. There is thought that Jimmy G. Kyle Shanahan you know aren't a perfect match where he's not doing what? Kyle wants reading answers on every play and that maybe Jimmy G. doesn't always have the answers wash the fourth super bowl. Look if you're trying to compare the ability to win before the snap or the mental ability of quarterback comparing someone at Tom Brady. You're not going to end up looking great but I think that's some one where Kyle Shanahan would look. That's the advantage that Tom Brady would give to them that he would. He would know all the answers and and as crazy as it is. I mean I'm not putting this as like it's the answer but pf for instance. Had Tom Brady as a much higher rated quarterback last year and. I don't think that's crazy. I think Tom Brady led similar or better level. Brady's entire two thousand nine hundred thousand season under the microscope that Jimmy. Jeez fourth quarter was has been under. And you're going to see a guy who failed over and over again with the New England. Patriots feels tremendously shortsighted. If the niners went this route I mean Brady is going to be what forty three and August. He's showing signs of slippage. Garoppolo is a guy that still in his twenties. What is take? That doesn't make sense right. What what do you do in two thousand? Twenty three cents. I think if you have to think long you don't because if you're Kyle Shanahan you're up twenty eight to three in the Super Bowl you'll lose. And now what are the Falcons? They've never been back. They're not the same your window. That's the thing that's you know. I experienced it from two years ago with the chargers. At twelve and four beating the ravens going New England. It's tied at seven. You feel like okay this is great than Brady gets the best of you. You come back following year and people are picking win the Super Bowl to win the division. You've already be Patrick mahomes once maybe you figured it out with Derwyn Jones and it falls apart. You can't like there is no law window in the NFL FAST. But the so just go get it. Go Win the one championship and worry about one mile scenario to also just indicate that they don't that Jimmy Garoppolo is someone that they're invalid about long-term because I think there is a. There are a number of quarterbacks are there are situations where of course they would not want to jump off a guy in his twenties but if they considered a move. Like saying this one specific. Don't feel great about Jimmy D but I'll tell ya I'll tell you who is excited about this. I mean If there is a perfect situation or to get patriots this is it. I mean this is this is this is. This is what I as a selfish fan would have wanted. I I've said on this podcast. I don't WanNa see. Tom Brady played poorly in any uniform. But I'd rather have played poorly in another uniform and the Patriots and this this story here at least I would think we talk about Patriots fans all the time. It's all you ever bring up. I wish I could jump off of it but this would bring me back in. I mean I think it comes down to this. This cow Shanahan Jimmy. Garoppolo holds them back right now and if he does then sense to look into it. I guess if you're interested US coachspeak but they absolutely believe it is is a better than guy be do. I think my team has a better chance on a super bowl with Tom. Brady or Jimmy Garoppolo next year. Because if I believe. It's Tom Brady. Guess WHO's coming to play quarterback Tom Brady. This is too good having that some pink upright there Jimmy G. wants back with the Patriots as starter. I'm I mean you can't just sell that down the river as an organic happening that feels to me like a prepackaged preplanned plot hatched years
The Long Road Back to the PGA Tour, with Joseph Bramlett
"People are looking for someone to root for this week? Joseph Bramlett has to be your guy. Yeah thirty one years old. He was the youngest ever. Got To qualify for the US. Am hand you know. He basically took like seven years away from the top levels of the game. I mean as someone who's back as someone who tried to play Pro Golfer a couple years and then you know so the writing on the wall and quit. Yeah I have major admiration for someone that saw the top of the tower and then went to the deepest dungeon. And now has yeah. He's out of it. He had his back. He's LEGIT PGA Tour Player. Top twenty last week at pebble so he was a great guy to talk to him. Yeah we talked to him about twenty minutes. We talked to Rafael. Who is the owner of Genesis for another fifteen or twenty minutes and he told us basically everything that their brain is doing here this week? Why they love this event while they love. La Gulf stay tuned for that a little bit later for now here is Joseph Bramlett are we are here in What is now the Genesis invitatinal press conference center with? Joseph Bramlett the Charlie Sifford exemption. This week now your first time as the Charlie Sifford exemption but a lot has changed internalize since two thousand eleven. When you were in that position the first time you just came off the top twentieth pebble. How are you feeling about the game right now? I feel good. Yeah I feel really good. My coach and I did a lot of hard work in the off season Felt like I was showing some good signs. The first couple events this season and then To have a nice respectable finish last week was a good stuff for people. That don't know your back story like let's just rip through. His backstory is taking taking shots at me. A rude you were a phenom growing up. Tell us just a little bit about where you're from. You know how you got here. Wow okay well story here we go. Yeah I grew up. In San Jose California was born in Stanford Hospital grew up playing junior golf in San Jose Bay area. Yeah when I was fourteen I was the youngest to compete in the US amador. That was a big big accomplishment for me at the time and were teen years old. Yeah it was very young. Yeah it was really cool. I I was got a little bit of media coverage and a lot of attention from college coaches so made the recruiting process. Really easy for me and Yeah from there. I played a lot of amador. Golf in northern California I went to school at Stanford Was able to graduate in two thousand ten and At the end of the year I went through school and was able to get out here in two thousand eleven straight out of college which was amazing steal. It was a big company. People can pull that off no not at all and it was. It was incredible is amazing experience. I would say that I was probably a little bit unprepared for some of the things that came along with playing professional golf. What just how frequently. We Compete Growing up I would play at tournament for three days and then I take two or three weeks off prepping for the next tournament and out here. If you miss a cut and then you've got like five days to get ready for the next one and you my my rookie year. I played nine events in a row and I played eleven out of twelve weeks straight. So I'd never done anything like that big life. Yeah it was. It was just a huge life shock. I mean not only was I competing often but I also didn't go home for like two or three months and I'd never done that before so it was just. It was a big growing experience. That lines up with a lot of what to rookies have told me in the past and are held. Varner said something like that just like your first year is such a learning curve which kind of you know sometimes guys like Matt Wolf or more cowardly like snap their finger and it happens and they get it but that it's much more a rarity than what is the norm now. Absolutely my hat off to them. I mean they`ve. They've played incredible right out of college. Which I mean shows a lot about what they can do But it's it's hard to do that and yeah I I took the the learning curve. Route niners fan absolutely. Oh yeah outsider. Yet it was. It was definitely a tough pill to swallow Starting out the year I was really pumped. I thought we might make the playoffs. I was really pumped. I was like we might be in contention again and then eight games in house like we're good and then Yeah I knew going against the chiefs in the super bowl is going to be hard because they're so dangerous is Jimmy G. The truth for you is he the one Jimmy. Jeez my guy can't roll with. Okay I like it. Yeah I mean from a Franchise Tag Joe Montana and Steve. Young I mean. We have very high expectations quarterback no doubt when Jimmy came to the niners. The excitement around the niners went through the roof for him when he didn't have anything. I'm so he is helped the culture shift in San Francisco and for those reasons alone. I'm riding with as a packers fan. The niners warped our ask twice this year so down there better scary. So good football interlude. They're kind of like that. She was stick with just the football. Let's talk about Shanahan. Nice Forty five minutes twenty eleven. Yeah well you played well. You didn't quite keep your car right. You were just a few thousand dollars. Away thousand-year status. I mean how do you? How do you process being so close? You know being on the grind for that whole year and then just missing out on keeping your card It was tough. It was it was a tough experience. So two thousand eleven was my rookie year out here on the PGA tour and That year actually got my head kicked in pretty good. I didn't I didn't come quite that close to keeping my car. I think I've finished around one ninety five on the money list but the next year was my first year on the what is now the Korn ferry tour and so I think that's what you're referencing that year I was inside the top twenty five all year and thought I was going to get my PGA tour card back. I was really excited because now I had this experience with me looking forward to getting back and I came up short in our last tournament. The tour championship one shot short and I was I was devastated Kinda. Wear you stood where you needed to finish. Never know for sure because I think it was the tour championship there. Sixty guys plan. I was somewhere around twenty fifth and so there are a lot of guys behind me that we're playing well and you never know where it's going to shake out so. I knew I needed to get out of it as I could. Yeah I know that like there's little decisions you make on the golf course. Have these really big effects on the rest of your life. Yeah and that's what you train for as a kid to block all that stuff out just kind of stay. Stay PRESENT. Stay in the moment. I think I've put myself in that situation so many times. That much more prepared for. I've I've learned to do it. But it's it's really stressful. And Yeah so tell me about life since then because now you're actually thriving on the PGA tour but what happened between two thousand twelve and now. What was your road back like? Yeah so halfway. Through the two thousand thirteen season Was warming up for the Utah Championship. And I swing with a LOB wedge. I just got this searing pain throughout my whole body. I felt like every nerve in my body was set on fire and I just got stuck. I couldn't move. I had no idea what it was. I hadn't had anything like that happened before so I tried to get some treatment. You know one thing led to another. I had to withdraw from the tournament. The next day couldn't play and Yeah I spent the next six weeks at home laying on the floor Cross of visceral description by every never my body felt like it was on fire. Yeah with something. I've never experienced before. And anyone with back pain probably has a reference to what I'm talking to But it's it's just such a humbling experience because I went from being a professional athlete. Who Does everything with my body to laying on the floor and you know asking you know loved ones if they can bring me some food or like not brushing my teeth for days at a time because I just can't bend over to do it So it's just it's it's a very very humbling experience. GotTa be one of those things that you and I. We can listen to you. Describe it. We can't understand it until happens to you. Like no one can really understand back dame until they have back pain at least that's my understanding of it. Yeah I I'd say that's fair. I certainly had no idea what I was getting into at the time. Either and There's a lot of people deal with it though. That's the scary thing is that like it's the back dictates everything that moves in your body so if that computer has a problem nothing else functions and yeah. I mean it was from there. I got a lot of imaging and a lot of memories taken and we started to realize that I had an annual charity. My four zero five disc and that takes eighteen months to heal on average. So that wasn't fun. News to hear from the doctor goes through your brain when he says eighteen months. Until you gotta be kidding me. Eighteen months what takes eighteen months like. Yeah I'm like Senate guys to the moon and eighteen months like how does that even but It just shows you how delicate and fragile. The human body is and You know from that point I just started trying to figure out any routes I could take to speed up the process. I saw fifteen different spine surgeons and the first fourteen told me. I wasn't a candidate for surgery. All they could do implement rods and my back and that would end my career and then the last guy last guy was like yeah. I mean I can open you up and take a look. Were you looking for that information from? Are you looking for someone that would agree to surgery or I I was? I I knew surgery was not the best long-term solution but I started getting impatient and I was wanting someone to fix my problem And about the guy is the host this week the same exact things multiple surgery so I imagine yeah and as an athlete like we do things with our bodies and we wanna you know be strong and get back out there and get to work and Yeah I didn't. I couldn't do that so I actually was considering the last guy pretty good. And it's where my girlfriend's stepped in and she's like you're not GonNa do this like not having an experiment. Doctors exploratory back surgeries. She's like go. See this guy that I know. He's a physical therapist and so yes she got me. In touch. With my current physical therapist cody Fowler and Yeah from there. We started piecing together. How my body moved and kind of get me back on on track.

"Welcome to file maker off the record you're listening to Thomas and Theresa of Profile Developers discussing All things file maker for developers and power users this is Thomas and I am here with Daniel Shanahan sat right that's right with new leaf data Daniel Welcome to the podcast thank you John Very glad to be here appreciate you taking your time out to talk with me it's really nice as we were talking before the show is really nice the number of podcast now about file maker and of course you guys now with a year under your belt are becoming part of the veterans scene which is which is cool for us yes yeah I thought I'd start with the basics how did you get into file maker you know I I got into maker I think like a lot of people who got into file maker I am not a computer science major I'm not an IT major I was doing work in and in a nonprofit and somebody had told me about the software I had no idea about it and so that's how I found out about it night implemented it in this nonprofit working with in liked it so really it was just mostly it was a a contact database that I built and that was that was in nineteen ninety one I'm currently in Ohio but in I was younger in one thousand nine hundred ninety nine I was ahead now too go Colorado so so I was out there is where I really learned file maker when I when I started in ninety one I was certainly you know I just knew the bare minimum and then in two thousand and seven so that's a big jump but in two thousand seven a few things had changed for me professionally and I decided to become a fulltime bow maker developer so I was a junior developer and I worked out California's in California at the time I worked for he's whack stated tools and then a year later I started newly data two thousand eight so at that time I was a generalist and only worked for myself for people who who know beeswax they have a number of employees there but when I left there it was just me and so trying to figure out how can I how can I make this business work and it took a couple of years then I started to learn more about things like the value pricing about niching about positioning and just just trying to learn about it and eventually it started to feel alright and I moved in that direction so three years ago I decided to focus my energies into one area and and then let that take me wherever it would yet beeswax are very very reputable place for sure in a good place to I would think learn if there's one thing and you might have the same thing too it'd be interesting to say to hear what you intrigue so would recommend to incoming developers but if there's one thing I would recommend to an up and coming developer his if you can work with one of the larger deb shops because there are there are people there and really there's people there that you who aren't always well known in the community but beeswax just had a well also knowledge just really really impressive developers who were very nice and I learned I learned so much when I was with them one thing you mentioned that was was value pricing yes so is that how you do your billing now value-pricing is sort of a it's a tricky topic and the community seems to me so I I tried to evaluate really I do as I say I fixed price because that's in reality that's what I do is I I put a fixed price on things I trying and gather the value but I think buddies trying to gather the value Sweden if pricing hourly I think people are still trying to gather the value it's a method I like the methodology the and the methodology helped me understand the complexity of pricing out but I'll say that I am that I fix price and I would say it this way to that I'm I'm a proponent of it but I'm not an evangelist of it okay I think that's where we would fall because what we're doing is very similar to that we do the clients that we've had for years and years are Paul hourly because when I started with those clients that was the only way that I actually knew that was a reasonable way to bill yes and and more recently that we've been trying to get into value pricing I don't think I have enough knowledge yet to do that in a in a real practical way so what I end up doing is giving to prices one is hourly and one is flat less that the I tried to base the flat on value yes I don't know if I'm hitting that yet it doesn't feel like I'm hitting it yet have a bit to learn yet it's it can be hard to learn it can be hard to to ascertain the value because sometimes the client doesn't know what the value is oh exactly you know the the value pricing piece for me came onto my radar win it was at one of the cons wasn't there but I heard the podcast of it it was when there was a panel in you're probably familiar with you probably know exactly what the entire event I remember that one yes yes and so that's when it came on radar and at that time if you listen back to that at that time there was no conversation about positioning or wasn't a very strong part of the value pricing process and so when I started out with value pricing I didn't have this concept of positioning and as time ooh gone think some of the proponents saw the vet solidly the need for the positioning peace and so now that's that's very common to hear those two go hand in hand but when it when I first started that was the missing piece and so the one of the great things about positioning if people are able to do it is that I don't know all the questions I need to ask but I feel more confident that I'm asking the right questions and asking enough questions at the beginning of a project so how do you do your project leads come through your webs site or do they come from file maker it's all from my wet it's all from my website I don't know if you saw the difference so I have I have three different websites did you did you you see all three I don't think so I had looked at I think it was just new leaf data dot com and it's an ad mentions inventory right on the front right so there's the inventory stuff on there and then I have another website and really the beginning of my funnel comes from another website called file maker inventory resources dot com so one of the things I had to do this is true for anybody wants some once company wants to become wants to position themselves as an expert in a certain area they have to they have to prove their expertise somehow and so my attempt at doing that it won't make a claim for it but my attempt at doing that is found migratory resources dot com where I I just started doing research and listening to questions and then eventually writing the result is I have these articles thirty two articles and there's thirteen demo files in what I did is I position myself not just an inventory but inventory on the filmmaker platform so that even riches me further in might be a good move it might be it might be too limiting to just say but that's what I did because I know file maker best all people usually do some kind of google search and and this often comes up on the first page and then they start to read the articles and I have a place where they join the newsletter so that's how I start to began my interaction with potential buyers as does that keep you busy it does keep me busy summer was a little bit slow for me but it does keep me busy that's the same thing never I listened to other podcasts or read anything about doing software development as a business as an entrepreneur that finding your knee is definitely the way to go and so that's what we've been working on here inventory looks good maybe I'll take that niche maybe not with either being competition or I'll try and sell you what I built there you go I think there's lots of different niche niches out there like that and if you if you can land in it part of it is if you can get if you can garner I don't know if that's the right use of that term but if you can get an silence you can get an audience then it's easier to get the next project will I have the as I mentioned the the filmmaker inventory resources so the the beginning of of my funnel starts there with the articles in it I think it's a great place for the do it yourself for who really has a grasp on what they're doing they just need to figure out this one thing and so hopefully they can come here and they can see they can read about how would they do this thing in foul maker like how would they do kidding or how would they put put a bill materials tree together or something like that how would you do transactions and if there's no article I'd love to hear from them and continue writing for the website but there's a there's a further movement to I have a link at the top of that page that sometimes people are looking for a little bit more is what I have discovered and so I I built this other page called FM inventory starter and that's a skeleton file I'm not really sure what call it a skeleton file or a template it's not really a starter file but it's a it's more of a template in that one I've I've put in all the tables that really most of the tables that somebody would need to start inventory solution most of the field what's that somebody would need now it does come with my naming convention so that's part of the reality of vile makers does come with if you're going to build a filer template it's GonNa have that company or that person's naming convention it has most of the layouts that you would need but it doesn't have any bruce and the thinking behind that was most of the business logic is going to reside in the scripts and so here's a a starting block for somebody and they could they could create all the business logic from scratch and they wouldn't have to go through and find out what they're not using in and tear that out so there wouldn't be a lot of legacy code in there because there's really no code in there one of the problems I think a lot of developers have the they hesitate to do it on giving all my code away a and to separate out the concept of well that's the business logic that's your thing to come up with here's the here's the underlying structure you're gonNA you're not giving much away and to expose your naming conventions I think is not a bad idea anyway I think there's a speed element that comes in once again spite be a for a for a new developer but once a person wants a company decides on a naming convention things can go much faster because less cognitive load about trying to figure out how to name a certain thing you just know and there's a there's a a relaxation in a speed that comes with development on that piece there's no more cognitive load to say how if I do this what happens then yeah I agree with that completely for the relationship graph we are very consistent with anchor buoy not a super strict version of it but anybody looking at it will recognize it as Anchor Buoy and I've toyed around with some other styles the biggest problem I have is that whenever I go back to one of my solutions that is ten years old it takes me all thirty seconds to figure out the action when it's the same thing so I just see so little value in switching to something else right when when this works right with this if I can go back to the inventory starter so one of the one of the pieces the inventory starter I've created as a course so people can download the file which is free and then the course leads them through the process of if you're a diy or how to use this file but then I also have paid courses that are complementary you don't need them certainly if you ready downloads it may already know how to to build a transaction module they would need to purchase the transaction but for somebody who's just starting out trying to figure out how can I what's next how can I do this there are these courses that can be helpful is the initial course of free course yes right the initial courses free in the initial courses the is the FM inventory starter so they so they get that starter solution for free and then if they want to expand their knowledge learn a little bit more from you than there are some courses that they can take their paid courses so somebody who who wants to build imagery voice solutions and already knows how to build the different modules and is comfortable with the naming convention or is fine naming them they could take this and and start building and they would need to pay for anything but for somebody who's WHO's saying gee I I don't even know what a treat net boyd I put together a discount code for your listeners and I love this would be time to do that but I can give you that Code by all means sure people can go to FM INVENTORY STARTER DOT COM and see the different options there but if they decide to buy if they type in profile two zero one nine then they'll get a.

"Oh, I mean, the levian thing was very similar to the Tevin thing that wasn't something that we win in targeting kind of fell into us also. And when we realized that we had a chance to get that for something that we definitely didn't expect we got excited, but you know, I think it was a little bit more of a tease, and which you know, we went through a little bit because we didn't plan to be in it, and then we got close. And so we got someone excited a little disappointed when it didn't work out. But when we ended up with heaven the next day that ended very faster us. So I was very pumped ended up with tavern. And yeah, we definitely looked into though del thing John I've been working on that for a few months trying to see if something can happen. And I just didn't think we had the stuff on that they wanted and it didn't work out. And you know, he's always a great player. I don't know how much I can talk about him. He's on another team. But you know, that would have been a great thing. But you know, that didn't work out, and it's nice ever second pick in the draft still now it'd be into turn our attention toward the drift. "Maybe don't watch God knows to carefully people might talk. Kyle Shanahan the San Francisco forty Niners. Hey, coach and cow. We are getting ready for the drafts coming up soon. I know you don't like to be in this. But what is it like to have the number two overall pick and get ready for the draft. Well, it's it's a lot more fun than being farther back. It's something I never want to be in. And it's not it's not something. You're proud of. But when you do get here. It's definitely a lot more fun looking at players that have a chance of going to then as opposed to twenty. What is your assessment of this crop of players atop the draft? It's very exciting. You know, this is our third year here looking at this. And I'd say these three years it's his deep at the top of the draft is what I've seen and there's a lot of good options. There's definitely more than two great players. And the fact that we're picking second makes you feel pretty good about that. How hard will that decision? Be then knowing that there are all these good players over there that that's I don't I don't know if I'd say a hard decision. I think it's a fun decision. Because you just you know, you're going to get a good player, or you know, you're going to get some very good trade off. Offers that's going to have you go farther back and still probably be able to get a good player. So I look at it as a win win. You just you. You don't wanna get cute with it? You gotta make sure that you get the best player possible and be happy with that. But I know that the Niners at the end of the day are going to have one of the best players in the country coming out of college or gonna be out in a few more players because we get a very good trade offer. How realistic is the idea that you could trade back. You never know. I think it's always realistic. Because you you'll do we'll do anything to improve our team. And you know, we I'd say we can improve it every single position we have on our team. I probably rule out quarterback right now, you know, not to give our thrower cards all the way out there. But I don't think we're gonna draft a quarterback with the second pick. But I'm happy with the guys we'll take. So it's not like you're going out there trying to facilitate a trade trying to make it happen. But if people call you, and they want something bad enough, you always sit there, and listen, and if that can help your help organization out more than just one guy at the second pick, and that's something. We would never hesitate to do we hold, and I just want to tweet out that the foreigners are not taking a quarterback. You should be good one. What are your thoughts? Smokescreen? What are the order your thoughts in the idea that the cardinals will go quarterback at number one you sitting there too? So we don't know what they're doing. But I'm sure you're curious like everybody else what they might do at one as you sit here today. What are your thoughts there? The I try not to go too much into that. Because it's all just talk. And it could be real could not be you don't really know. And you don't know till they pick our until they announced something that they're doing that. So I don't try to look into it at all. I don't try to figure it out. I think there'd be a lot more to figure out if we were further back, you know, but we're right behind him. And we're also now waiting to get a quarterback. So it doesn't affect us that much and there's more than two good players in this draft..
