"I'm Katherine Foreman and I'm neal learns and today we are bringing you breaking our format. Our usual format our new usual format a little bit kneel at we have the opportunity to sit down with the General Chair and senior program chair or this year's interruption of the international conference on learning representations I clear which was entirely virtual this year Alexander Rush of Cornell and Shakira Muhammad of deep. Mind thank you so much for joining us today. I really appreciate it off. Excellent Catherine great to be here. I'd love to do a little bit of background on. I clear I just sort of like mainly to give us a sort of a context for the conference in in the ecosystem of other conferences. WanNa know how did the conference get to where it is today? Yes thank you neil. That sounds like a very good question. How the conference get to where it is today. This year was already breaking ground. It was going to be taking place in Ethiopia which I think is the first time any of the large conferences have been held on the African continent But then all of a sudden we had this massive global change and it was decided that the conference would take place entirely. Virtually so Sasha. I'd love to hear from you a little bit more about how you see. I clear fitting into the larger system of conferences. And what your experience with. It's been and how this change took place shore so this was the eighth international conference of learning representations but it was run as a workshop for several years so it started in two thousand thirteen. And I think what's remarkable about the conference it's been experiencing exponential growth for the last basically for its entire history and so it's a conference where everyone is kind of a newcomer each year. We have most people kind of experiencing it for their first time. I think personally I didn't really attend. I clear till about three or four years ago and I was coming from it from the natural language processing community so conferences like ACL P that she makes up a relatively large part of kind of this multi disciplinary area. It's a conference. That kind of welcomes a large group of people doing different forms of representation learning and deep learning and things of that form I think it differs from some of the other machine learning conferences in that. It's a bit more experimental. I think a lot of people know it for its experimental reviewing format and for the structure of how it's laid out and I think one of the reasons it was so interesting to work on is because it's a conference that kind of allows for more experimentation in its format in its structure and we took that to heart in both the venue this year and also in kind of change to the virtual conference format. So this sort of like the experimental stuff it does on its own. It was the first to open reviewing. And then there's the experimental stuff that's forced upon it so. I find so amazing. What you had to do this year is first of all you were taking a major conference to the African continent for the first time which was a major undertaking in itself. And then you had to cancel the first major conference on the African continent. Tell us how how I don't know who's best to sort of speak to that. She cared. Do you want to tell us how that came about? And how you reacted yes. I think we were actually quite far along in our work dealing with the European conference it was going to be in a great venue in the Millennium Hall. Very close to the airport in Ethiopia. Lots of things have been set up. Even down to the whole Shedu of the conference itself was set up. The we're going be three. Parallel tracks experimented the conference in that way. All the keynotes. All the speaking. The setup of the post is all of these kinds of things are done and then it was a difficult time the end of February the beginning of March when it was very clear that the long run of cove it and would come into effect and a lot of consideration and debate with many many different kinds of people around actually cancelling the conference. But I think in the end You know it was obviously a good decision. Forced us to experiment in the new way so I was pretty happy with the with the end to actually get to do it. So what was the thing that Chicago pops happiest about about the way the conference went the thing that surprised you the most because I know both of you I mean it must be in so much stress. Just organizing a major conference like this is like major stress in in the base case and then organizing one where you have to reorganize the entire conference within the space of a few weeks. I just can't imagine it but let's start with the positive things and and pats that recession. Say She Sasha. What was the thing that you most pleasantly surprised about about the conference? Yeah so there. I think there were a lot of things that kind of were unexpected or kind of emergent behavior. That came up during the conference itself. The part that I think I spent the most time on and was most excited about was the the social interactions particularly chat and the socials. That emerged I think that was the part we were most worried about. It's the part I get the most out of conferences talking to experts in the field kind of having conversations that you didn't expect or learning about papers that you didn't know that we're coming. We really built that around kind of slack. Like chat experience and seeing the different topic rooms emerged. There was a very interesting created. A I room. That came out of nowhere. The community had several very interesting events. That were just so neat to attend and then we also ran several mentoring sessions just kind of out of nowhere in the middle of the conference that were super interesting and kind of almost better than I would have imagined. That could have occurred. Say getting a drink at a bar at an normal conference

Welcome to nomads place. Hey man good to be here. Thank you so much for coming to my pleasure. Right down the street. Yes yeah we were just talking about how we never were neighbors. Yeah Yeah Burbank. Yep GotTa Love Burbank. Indeed man now Your House. You have a studio as well right Yup Yup got a garage we That was kind of the main selling point of the houses that we'd a three car garage that we could build a studio in awesome. Yeah I mean I wonder how many people in Burbank actually musicians right probably half composed. Who's play yeah? It seems like every you know every couple of months I get invited to some session and it's like down the street somewhere in someone's garage. I'm like Oh my God. I didn't even know there was a studio here. That's all it seems. Like half half the houses in Burbank. Have some SORTA studio you know right right. But he's in the industry exactly and then not to mention writers and actors and producers directors. Sure we're definitely in the entertainment district. Here hub yeah cool all right so bro. The career musician it is what it is right. A lot of people say. What does that mean? Well we've made a living out of playing music so I kinda dub does as career music. Yes somehow we've made it work exactly. Yeah against all odds so look I. I WanNa talk about a brief history. Okay I think you went to the University of Miami is I did. What got into music? What was the impetus that said you know what? I'm going to be a musician but I'm going to be a bass player as well. Well that was early on I mean just as a Kid. I think a lot of us that end up doing this. You know we discover music when we're really young and we just like it. We don't know anything about it. We don't play an instrument yet but we're just into it and that was me. I I listen to a lot of stuff. I was really into it when MTV came out. I just could not stop watching it. I just saw people playing on. Mtv knows like man. I want to do that so then when the time came I I gotta get started taking lessons for just a few months and then I was in a music store once waiting for my lesson in there was based on the wall and I was like. What's that and the guys who get the Bass Guitar and I? I had no idea what that was. It was like I wanNA check that out so as I'm waiting for my guitar lesson I start playing this basin it immediately just like wow like this instrument. This is what I WANNA play. Wow that's who's who's kind of like that. Yeah what what was it? Because there was only four strings would they because they were thicker the vibrations the lower frequency? I can't explain it. It's just like I started playing it and just really dug it. I was like wow. This thing's really cool like and then I kind of learned what it is and what its function isn't a band and Yeah just started taking lessons on one of those i. I was a caddy at the time. Saved up some money caddying at the golf course and bought a Kramer Bass Kramer Duke Bass Guitar. Oh Yeah that was in Norwalk Connecticut. You probably know where that is your from. Long Island right absolutely now not too far away. Yeah all right. So then what brought you down to Miami and eventually over here. Well I've you know pretty soon got pretty serious about it like I had my high school garage band jam on. Know Van. Halen led Zeppelin stuff like that. Then my family moved to Cleveland. Ohio and I was kind of thrust into all the all the groups in the school. Like in the music program like the Renault Bass players so I got thrust into jazz band concert band marching band. Because they didn't have Tubas so I played in marching band with a wireless and then look would do play in the pit orchestra for the musicals. They'd have it high school so I was just kind of thrust into all these situations that that made me a better musician you know I had to. I had to learn to read ahead to to play jazz. I had to learn. You know all all that kind of stuff you know. Kinda made me get serious about music and then started auditioning for other stuff around Cleveland. I played in this like all state jazz band called Ohio Jazz Orchestra for Youth and got my ass kicked in that really like you know. Made Me Kinda step up and shed a lot and that's a trip. How about half of the right? Yeah Yeah so. How did you learn how to read and and play changes and whatnot and jazz because you're going from rock and Roll Jazz? That's a transition. Oh yeah totally. I was a metal head before I did that. Likud I moved to Cleveland. I was like into thrash metal and stuff like that and like you know I started taking theory in the in the high school band director was was like. Oh you know we need to play jazz. Been and all this stuff and I'd never played any of that stuff before I had never read anything so I was just thrust into it and I had to learn and I got Got A teacher in Cleveland and helped me start reading and I got some reading books and practised reading. You know it was just like trial by fire. Sink or swim. You know if there's something that I couldn't figure out how to like take it home and figure it out you know and this is the days before the Internet Youtube to just look it up. Oh no I just had to kind of learn from books and learn from a teacher and just learn about putting the hours in just by you know Kinda practicing reading rhythms and reading notes and the more I did that in the more reading situations I got put into Just kind of the better I got at it and it was a very valuable skill that I was fortunate enough to learn on right. Incredible did you ever use the clap out? The rhythms before is doesn't that table. I remember I would just sit in bed with my book and like a flashlight and a pencil and I would just kind of like nod my head to the quarter note just tap out. The rhythms can only do that for a half hour before bed. You know things like that or if I if I had time where I didn't have my base with me and I couldn't like actually practice do that. Yeah just tap out the rhythms just to Kinda learn how to read rhythms. I talk about that all the time to this day. I'll be sitting on the airplane writing a chart totally an IPAD and you can just tap it out and you can count through it and slow it down right. Yeah I do that all the time just like on planes. Because that's like you know downtime. You have a lot of times in between gigs or whatever and you're like okay. We'll I can use. I can use this three hour flight to chart out tunes for the next GIG. That's right and that's all the time. Yeah Yeah we're GONNA come back to that actually so then you go to. Um so which is kind of good because you start in Jazz Ban. You get your feet wet. Yeah I got more serious a- more serious with jazz as time went on like I said I I was in that Ohio Jazz Orchestra for youth with a lot of real great players from local high schools. I did that and then I went to a interlocken center for the arts for two summer programs and then ended up staying for my senior year of High School Eight of Boarding School. It's just an arts boarding school where everybody's there to get just better at their craft. That's along we. There was there for years senior year so I did two summers and then stayed around for my senior year of high school. Then I went to University of Miami. That's immersive though that. That's Oh man. It was great idea. Yeah it really was because I was with a lot of like minded people all the time you know aside from our on. Sambas that we were in our classes. We jam constantly. You know late at night early in the morning like you're with a bunch of people that just want to play and that just really head start you know just putting in that many hours playing those very fortunate to have been able to do that okay. So that got you prepped for. Yeah then I went to Miami. Miami was the only school I auditioned for. I You know I was. I was an electric bass player. Never really got into the upright thing. A lot of other schools that have jazz programs. Were a little bit more traditional big bandy. You know to where like I couldn't really just be an electric bass player and you go there. Really my options were Miami Berkeley or am I and Miami just seemed to be the right program at the time but you didn't even apply to the others. I didn't I just. I applied auditioned addition to Miami. Got Accepted and that was it. Bam So my choice easy. That's awesome just went yet just went for one school. Yeah what was that like? It's great you've completed your yeah. I did for years. I did take a year off after freshman year. I just kind of wanted like takes time off and process everything because I I've been going pretty intensely for a while with with You know the the the summer jazz program I was in and then interlocken for a year and then after that I did a cruise ship for for the summer. Then I went to Miami for freshman year and It was just a ton of intense shedding for years. And I really just kinda needed to take time away from that just process it so I took a year off after Freshman Year. I did a cruise ship Gig for six on states. Saved up some money practice my ass off but also you know partied quite a bit simple. Do on. Cruise ships brilliant. Yeah just kind of wanted just. I just needed a year to Kinda like SORTA CATCH UP PROCESS. Right relaxed a little bit as well. I feel just like a lot of information intel. It was really practicing a lot back then. To right Yeah so took that year off and then went back and finished and it was great. It was a great program a lot of great players. I played in a lot of bands and just took in a lot of information and it was. It was

Should You Speak At A Conference For Free?
"On the back of post I need a couple of days ago about how Jalen Shakira got paid nothing to pay to play at the Super Bowl. They just for exposure exposure Simon ship. It's ask the question. What about when it comes to speaking at spark conferences. Should we expect to get paid or should we just do it for the exposure and and the short answer is nine times out of ten. I would say yeah. You should do it for the exposure now. The reality is a lot of spot. Conferences and a lot of industry conferences in general won't actually pay speaks to attend. They'll expect that you're going to do it for the exposure. My situation I guess over the years I've spoken at a number of events of events and I kind of take the stance now that if you pay for my ticket my airline ticket and my accommodation then as long as I can do it within a day or two then I will probably come and speak at the event if I can if I don't have anything else booked but generally if people aren't going to the organizers not prepared to cover the flight ticket and and the hotel accommodation side of it then I probably won't speak unless it is a big opportunity because I've spoken to these events for a number of years. I feel I've got enough exposure certainly for me and probably for the brand but generally speaking if I can get to speak in an event and represent the brand then generally. I will do that if it works into the rest. The schedule so I think it really depends on your personal situation and your brand or your company situation. Do you need the extra exposure for you personally. Do you need the extra exposure for your brand. The other question I guess is. Is there such a thing as over exposure and in the case of these events I'd say yes there is because a lot of these. You're seeing the same people speak again and again and oftentimes speaking about the same subject. I think that actually brings your impression or or your Your reputation down a little bit so I would encourage you if you do speaking events every year. Make sure that you're doing something unique and different in your speech but preferably I think you should be probably alternating events. I noticed by China for instance is big data every year for a number of years now but I always make sure I'm speaking about something different. So that's my opinion. If you get the chance to speak it's probably worth exposure as long as you're not denying yourself any other business or incurring any substantial

Shakira's tongue was both a meme and educational
"So this is a story in the British press as if you're in the music industry I can imagine there are certain points in your career when you just know you've made it getting your first number one hit and performing at the Super Bowl halftime show and becoming a viral meme all are up there okay in which case after last night's performance with Jennifer Lopez Shakira has officially made it because she ticked off the final two requirements she's had she's had number one hits songs yes but now she made a strange noise and wiggled her tongue around half way through one of her songs and it has become an instant mean yep are already seen it three times
Super Bowl 54 halftime show: Did Shakira steal the show?
"I I thought thought she she stole stole the the show show and and I'm I'm a a little little surprised surprised that that she she came came out out off off the the top top and and got got so so much much time time on on unabridged unabridged uninterrupted without jail at all they got the same amount of time I felt like it was she came out of the top and did like five minutes without any parents of Jello whatsoever and sort it made me think she got top billing kind of I mean her name was first in the whole thing it was secure in jail of the whole time which I think we forget that Shakira like she may have a sort of she says they had any like contemporary hits the played on the radio I only that I think globally yeah she might be a bigger deal yeah so of the world so you know I don't know why we should be surprised surprised but but I I guess guess I I thought thought J. J. lo lo for for our our audience audience was was the the star star and and I I didn't didn't necessarily necessarily think think that that she she thought thought they they have have also also represented represented really really well well yeah yeah they they had had so good I thought tweets you saying like they represent so much more than obviously like what they brought to the table which was like Latino culture but like you know they're both moms are both older anything it was just so beautiful to see and and bad money into a ball but I mean like okay I just I guess
You might have missed the Kobe Bryant tribute during the halftime show
"Well fans expecting a tribute to Kobe Bryant during last night's Super Bowl halftime show are complaining that it was so brief they missed it Jennifer Lopez and Shakira announced the tribute last week it came in the form of a song that Lopez is eleven year old daughter sang along with a children's choir as part of the tribute cameras also briefly showed a giant cross lit up in the Lakers purple and yellow before the game players lined up in a twenty four yard line for a moment of silence Brian wore the number twenty four when he played for the

Hail to the Chiefs
"All right so this was an incredibly even matchup but at the end of the day a clear. Oh you're winner emerged Jaylo well and Shakira like let's let's give her due to Yemen Jaylo whatever. She's whatever over she's taking to look and move like that at fifty you know we can all take a lesson from her and And who knew she could move on a pole. It is kind of funny that you know. So how many years. After the wardrobe malfunction we now just have performers on stripper Poles. All right so let's talk about this remarkable game I What was the vibe in the stadium before kickoff? Yeah I mean listen. It's the Super Bowl right. People are excited. I will say that there were a lot more chiefs fans then niners fans and that was kind of to be expected. That's how it's been in Miami all week I think ESPN projected before the game that it was going to be sixty seven percent Kansas the city fans which would make it the most lopsided attendance in history and it really did man. It felt like achieves home game. You had the chance and you know it was a sea of red. Obviously because both nighters and she's fans where red but but chiefs fans definitely were taking over and you could tell when they did the introductory lineups? You could tell. Whenever they they showed chiefs players are coming through the tunnel the stadium which get loud And conversely a lot of booing being whenever the camera would focus on the niners. And you know we've talked a lot in the buildup to this game this week about Kobe. Bryant he just is looming over the world of sports so largely right now now and there was a beautiful tribute to him before the game began. Yeah so there was a moment of silence before America. The beautiful and national and the national anthem were song on Four Koby daughter Jonah and the other seven victims of the helicopter crash. Sure Sunday's they will never be for each of the teams Rosters were lined up on their own twenty four yard line. No Mosh to Kobe's number twenty four as the moment of silence happened and a few players were also wearing purple and gold cleats during warmups. All right so this was expected to be a close game and the first half was incredibly. Even what jumped out at you from that first half. Yeah I mean the first half was super even obviously. We went into to the second half tied at ten The first quarter kind of gave you a setup of how this of how you thought this game was going to go you know. Both teams had strong drives early San Francisco got the running game going out of the gate with deebo Samuel But despite controlling the ball for nearly six minutes in their opening drive that drive only ends in a field goal the chiefs then come back to answer with a really strong drive heavily favoring Running back Damien Williams play action was really working for them in four achieves team. Who's WHO's running game isn't nearly as strong as San Francisco's? This was pretty key for them on that particular drive third and eleven and Patrick mahomes shows off the legs he takes off off and he appears to get the first down but then he fumbles after a hard hit pushes him back. So it's now fourth and one and Andy Reid. has this decision to make. Does he go for word on further on fourth and one it's early in the game. San Francisco's defense was the best in the league. This season on stopping fourth and one And kind of going into this game you know you don't really ever know what he's GonNa do on fourth down but he ends of going for it. And it's absolutely right call Damian Williams gets the first on a short run and Patrick mahomes eventually takes it into the end zone. Himself for the touchdown and the chiefs go up seven to three and early in the second. Quarter Jimmy Garoppolo threw an interception reception and the chiefs and up on a drive with another fourth and one and they go for it again. Yeah and it ends up being the right call again now. Let's remember that Andy. He read only went for it on fourth down ten times in the regular season and here he's gone for it twice in the first twenty minutes of the game so clearly. It's the Super Bowl. He's putting everything on the table and it ends up being the right. Call it results in points. The chiefs the cheesecake field goal. And they go up ten to three okay so at this point Jimmy. Garoppolo has just throw an interception. Forty niners are struggling a bit and it looks like they need a big drive to get back into the game and they get it they did. The the very next drive is really a statement driver San Francisco. The run game really got going. The five straight strong runs including a touchdown throw. Oh a play action pass to a very unlikely hero. Kyle used check the fullback. We got a fullback touchdown in the Super Bowl who also became the first player from Harvard? Ever to score touchdown in the Super

"Jennifer Lopez is going to be the halftime entertainment along with Shakira okay fine right I'm interested to to see what comes together then we heard a little bit about the maybe not jiving together so well in right not sharing the stage so much together instead kind of two separate things so one of them just either or tweeted or put it on Instagram of a photo of the two of them and they look happy but I came across some fun facts about Jennifer Lopez there's actually fifty interesting facts but did just a few of them popped out for me like you know she was a fly girl on in living color yes and that was in nineteen ninety one she tried out and she didn't get the gig she didn't make it but what happened was the woman who did get the gig couldn't accept the job so
Latina stars JLo and Shakira say Super Bowl halftime performance will be 'message of unity'

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira vow 'empowering' halftime show
"During a press conference in Miami Jennifer Lopez Shakira he is what we should expect from the Superbowl live halftime show J. lo is cryptic though the two teams that are playing by the chiefs in the forty Niners are run by women and then you got to women headlining the halftime show so it is just that statement alone for me is empowering when I think of my daughter when I think of all the little girls of the world to be able to have that to see that to let the nuns doing this at this time in this country at this time is just it's just very empowering for us who is the woman running the team's I think this ownership groups and that exam disco's own moment and the chiefs the old Lamar hunt's daughter right a granddaughter consulting business on Clark on I don't whatever jail said hide it when I'm with

"E. O. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira teaming up for the halftime show at Super Bowl this season it's been a lot of talk about some possible guest stars joining them on stage for the show as well the latest rumor I love this song he tweeted out that he might be in Miami around long bone visual I don't want to see Martin said the Superbowl halftime show is gonna be special he's going to be watching at least he wouldn't give up any secrets just that the halftime show's going to be an amazing event for Latino culture in he just happens to be in Miami in February just happens today well Disney's do streaming service is having a disclaimer to several favorites over the years like dumbo Peter Pan lady and the tramp why because they depict racist stereo types in dumbo from nineteen forty one the crows that help double learn to fly there depicted with exaggerated blacks Terrio typical voices in the league Crowe's name is Jim crow term that describes the subtle laws that legalized segregation I know baseball wow yeah I know in Peter Pan native American characters or character character shirt isn't well the and the film to view it in nineteen fifty three the lady and the tramp you remember the Siamese cats offensive Chinese characters as well so if you see that that's what it's all about we've you see those little disclaimers on some of those Disney films on Disney plus north of Dallas has a wreck on central expressway and there's something going on on sixty seven we check your traffic and weather together on the eight thirty minutes right now when you come in and switch to T. mobile you get the amazing iPhone eleven pro on us iPhone tennis traded aren't these mountains majestic Joe are you even looking I'm posting these amazing pics I took with my iPhone Levin pro it has three cameras whoa those picks are amazing and you have service to T. mobile their new single goes farther than ever before then you can look up whether these are bear tracks right or we could just run going.

"Into the down and distance podcast hosted by Ivan Mozelle Commemorating Writing the One hundred fiftieth anniversary of college football download subscribing review down in distance available. Wherever you enjoy your podcast Chris you WanNa Finish your thought there that you weren't able to deliver correctly because an ESPN executive was breathing on your neck but that executive is back. NAB penalty wasn't long enough. It wasn't long enough got. This is my moment to shine right so wait a minute so the penalty wasn't long enough for us to withstand army andering show didn't have enough time in in her sitting penalty box in a closet at the Cleveland or hotel for twenty minutes because we got distracted all right. Let's see what you've got. What are your long-awaited thoughts thoughts on the Super Bowl that came out so clumsily because he has been executive was breathing on your neck. Well IT'S J. Lo and Shakira and I'm wondering in the negotiations of this did Jaylo demand that she has top billing in this is she top billing thought they were Co.. I didn't think there was a top billing. I thought they announced the two of them on purpose for the you are right but in everything you see it's it's Jalen. Shakira and I feel like that was done on purpose first name the first one and you don't think it was alphabetical. 'cause I feel like Jaylo has been feeling for a while now that this was going gonna be her GIG. Everyone was kind of there was rumors about it and then when they came to her and said Hey we're going to be part of this. Species like okay. I can do that but it's Jaylo insecure here at not secure end Jaylo. Put It on the poll. ISHIKURA upset that J. LO is the first one mentioned in Jaylo insecure the halftime show there are certain people in all walks of life in anything you do that you bow to and I feel like J. Lo is one of those people I really do. I'm not sure secure has to bow to J. Lo that was my point join exactly Dan. If we're talking just music I take secure over Jaylo. That's just me. I don't think you're alone on that. One actually put it on the poll. Just put it on the poll like that Jay Lower Shakira you. Oh you got to throw in a rod no now. That's a perfect segue though because my second a good point for Shakira right. It's not a good point for what do you mean if you've got. Iran coming out in the suit with a briefcase to one he goes. That was my thing. I wanted to get to the second thing I want to get you is how does a rod inserted himself into this halftime show. I've got him on a jet pack at some point just appearing overstate tape yeah. You guys think his own what he's going to come in on a jet pack at some. I'm calling guys. I was thinking what if did he's involved. All dolls slow make sense Luther Campbell's already on twitter complaining about the lack of black entertainment in the Miami Super Bowl. We uh-huh Luther Campbell doesn't do you not know Luther Luther but a minute guys. There's no way I mean maybe I'm wrong. She low and secure are going to do the full twenty minutes or whatever it is by themselves. They're going to have a ton of people around and just be patient. Let's wait this out and see who's going to be involved. Oh my God mark Anthony might be so. That's my question. How many people need to be involved for this to be successful. We're looking at what five people who just mentioned Wycliffe. John was secure like I'm looking forward to that boy clubs John's not there I'm now. Why is everybody so down on this. Aren't nothing's happened yet. This is ridiculous what you want restraint when it comes to having an instant reaction or earn instant opinion to something in pop culture like we have fast forwarded. It's too late bill. You're getting left behind okay. Everyone's got an opinion on everything ten minutes ago like anything living. That's been digested in pop culture. You WanNa wait and just wait so that we can criticize the halftime show when it actually happens as opposed to right now yes because they're going to get plenty of that too. Can we just wait a couple months and then you've never looks loss was gay was the last memorable one it was beyond say right. It'd beyond say like sort of cinching everyone's eyebrows. How's this I mean. There aren't going to be a whole lot of people who don't know who she carries right because she cures one of these performance that you remember where you were the first time you saw ordinance like to answer Christmas question kind of your question about this. I think Jaylo is the top billing on top billing their co headlining but J.LO'S I because 'CAUSE J. Lo Right now. Nationally speaking I think is more relevant. I don't think that that Deborah she's not more musically relevant. Oh Okay but she's more relevant relevant like she's nominated for an academy nominated. We're getting ahead of ourselves but she could win. An Oscar the following week she's everywhere with like she's. The Star of the two of them. You can argue back and forth and say here's more musically talented whatever she has a better deeper catalog of music. That's fine but this is to make a splash. That's why J.lo's the top name look at J. O. Be a excuse me look at Billy Bean Mr National by the way May I remind you secured to the World Cup International. May You be reminded of that billy. That's fine this. This is a national event is as you know the Super Bowl. I think okay wait hold on a second. It's not worldwide because the musical acts there was no. It's not geared appeared towards the world. The musical acts that we get always American acts are they not popular acts in America. When's the last time we went to get. You know what what's the big like. The Korean like B. B. T. S. or whatever so they're gonNA kill me now because I got that wrong but when was the last time they did a halftime show. It's geared towards the American public. I'm not wrong about this year as well because this year feels like it's less your crossing over this. This feels a little bit like got. You guys remember right. a whole lot of people were introduced for the first time to Latin music to Latin music and to Ricky Martin at the grammys because of the Electricity of the performance because the idea that the stage was vibrating and a whole lot of people were like whoa that was US sensual and Brown and it on a lot it was a lot it was it was very loud sensuality and now they're doubling down now. It's J. LO I. I can't believe that if Li- girls still out here being fly girl at fifty like it's crazy. How is that possible. I see where you're going with this. You think Ricky Martin is going to be involved to horse. We're going to be involved getting involved. I don't think Mark Anthony is though we know what is relationship is with J. Lo they're fine. Are there any other kid to go. I I don't know do singers. Singing trees like coaches coaches trees because I think here is under the J.LO's singing tree. Yes they go. I think pit bull as well what you don't don't know anything about what you're talking about. Trees trees are you talking about ballot. Check has is coaching careers spawned off of J.lo's career career. I'm telling you she makes people she does. He's onto something with this. Is He a perform together. How are pimple research now before saying something that I don't think is right? I asked the question. It's for others. You didn't ask a question. You said something. Something was the fact that you just made up. You wanted to talk about coaching trees. We'll singing trees a whole new trees. There might be a singing tree but the one around John J. Lo hasn't borne fruit then you have a radio tree. We're all in it yes. Yes you have a radio journey. Three guys are just saying things skies blue. There's clouds in this. None of this is related but we're talking just took the show and then put the steering wheel took a left turn by invading. You want to jump coaching trees. He felt laugh that left out of the halftime conversation because it got a little to Latin. He's like let me talk about something. I WanNa Talk About Coaching Tree Ob still reeling over the fact the US gay rod is the main event. They're silly. Please do you have being part of the J. Lo Coaching tree pedal pit bull and who else is the singing tree who again again who are the people that you have emerging from the Jaylo singing tree Shakira and pit volt. I don't even know if she karen Jaylo know each other..

"Stations so billy has a weird obsession with the super bowl halftime show he. He is very excited because he was right J. Lo is the featured act and he thought that that's the way that would go. I don't think anyone had Chicago here are though did any of us have Shakira being one of the acts there. I think she kira may have been mentioned in passing as a Secondary Act in this room. I don't know by who but I feel like it may have been said someone tweeted at Chris Christie. You call this and he's like I did okay. I'll take it so Chris may or may not have called Shaquille. It'd be involved. You're not excited about this by by the way I realized yesterday for the first time what it's like when you don't like I was on the happy end of the halftime show announcement and I saw the people we're not on the happy side of the halftime shows me usually. I'm not on the happy side of the how to type show announcement so I can relate heroes. Wow this is great. Everyone's GonNa be great. Nope no what are are people saying that J. Lo hasn't had a hit song in a long time Dan. I'm glad you brought that up here yesterday. Okay I was upset and I was in hiding in quietness because I didn't WANNA say the J. Lo shouldn't be the halftime show. I'm here to say she shouldn't be a hey. The has raisins on hold up. When was the last time Jalen had a song wasn't featuring somebody else that made the song better think about this think about all her discography and figure out what song she sang by herself that she's going to sing at the Super Bowl without the help of pit Bull Marquette. She's going to have somebody else help Ashley. Everyone's GonNa come in every round. They're going to bring each person after featured person so gyros. GonNa show up. I always Oh. I hope Joe Rules shows you don't dude at the end me and you know what else can relate in this room but me and you Dan. This is for the culture. That's halftime show oh it is. This is Marty off. This is smart. This is smart the league. It's not just that you're going Latin. You're going women at a time that your league has had some trouble with the domestic abuse stuff you're going. You're featured Richard. Act Your featured act in the middle of the the violence is going to be too women. Those are the two big names on the marquee doubt very much that that's an accident they went Latin and woman coming into Miami but you may not like the John wrote music which is understandable. That's fine whatever everyone doesn't like the same same stuff but it's good to have some sort of musical diversity from halftime show to halftime show like we can't have Paul McCartney every year. You know what I mean like. Boring Justin timberlake every year gets boring like Maroon universally panned last year right. Maroon five doesn't have fans. I I mean I'm sure they do because they you know they sell out arenas and stuff but I feel like Maroon five exists to be made fun of on the Internet as the halftime Kabq them. I getting that wrong nickelback. We'll also Maroon five understand. Nickelback is the worst of it but I'm saying they couldn't go nickelback even the NFL. Even even goodell knows that he can't go nickelback. We'll get ready. There's GonNa be that again this year like there's going to be some of that because J. Lo and Shakira are not from Miami but they are Miami. They have Miami culture in them. They represent people that live in Miami whether or not day themselves from Miami so they're going to give a flare there that the halftime show is not used to and they'll bring up people like pit bull and they'll bring in all kinds of me. Luma will be there who knows who's actually going to show up but they're going to be a a representation of culture. That's not the main culture in the United States so there's going to be people that see and they're like what is this is in good. It's smart though it's a smart move by the NFL's just a marketing tool for the NFL and all the people involved in the NFL and it's a smart. It's a smart thing to wrap it in in all of this stuff as you come into Miami. I don't know that they could have actually chosen wiser than that if they're trying to actually give off the feeling when they all last year when they're in Atlanta they bring out big boy because they're trying to give of off at Lanta. I don't know that they could have done better than the sensuality of these two women the ethnicity culture the Jails GonNa win in an Oscar for portraying a stripper in the movies at fifty but you're saying they give off Miami. Yes yeah they give off Hispanic culture which is what they're trying to highlight now. If this is all Miami Amee thing which it could be. I wouldn't be shocked. If you see like Rick Ross or someone come out or if you see like article probably know Rick Rick Ross would would be what who was it. Is it Travis Scott. was he the one who decided hey can someone help me with this because I saw Netflix documentary on Travis Scott and my mouth was hanging open because I know oh the pattern the power of the Kardashians every dating them but I was floored by the crowds. This guy draws just it just totally floored by the insanity of thousands and thousands of people treating him like something I didn't even see from Cognac or Jay Z at I I can just in terms of grabbing the young people because he's dating one of those influencers and I don't know anything about the music I was just stunned by the sheer number of people providing popularity. His music is very popular so it's a combination of the Kardashians and his music just being genuinely liked but he's dating Kylie Jenner's officially. It helps to quit. I'm down with this like down in a good way. I'm not down on it. I'm down where you're not down on. Everyone understand down with it the jailer not down if you if you make the clarification on being down with and just try to be clear. De you pro or an. I'm pro this time. Are you nervous because a very powerful ESPN ESPN executive. It is sitting very close to you off camera. Let's go to break and all gather ourselves and maybe we will get this thought in a cleaner form Marcia can can you please go to the penalty box. Please scaring the employee. Buy Low sell high time for some ants two minutes for breathing down his neck. Yes just for being for being the corporate deity and that scares the employees or in her defense. I'm always this terrified when I talk. We'll get back to your thoughts after we'd kick her out. Johnny got a golf set when he was three and from that day on he was hooked all he wanted to do was Gulf both Gulf Gulf he'd be on the links before school after schools all he ever wanted was to go pro and then one day when he was holding his grandson London thinking about his twelve handicap Johnny realized it just might not happen for him but you know what did happen for him he switch to Geico and saved a bunch of money on car insurance so Ooh that was good and so was hanging with his grandson Donlevatar Yanni out of a boo-boo Stugatz Jaanus out of a boom boom this.

"Good morning millennials happy Friday. Welcome back to the Morning Post. It is a bright and Sunny Glorious Day here in New York because everyone knows even God that it's Friday that it's Friday that the traffic is winding down in New York. We made it through this week and it just it couldn't be a better feeling I'm getting by Dan. I was actually going to post that story by diplomats. I think one of them lives in my building. That's pretty I live with my building. I actually feel as though I were diplomat. I might live in my building 'cause because it's like it's good proximity yeah yeah maybe they do. I'll have to get the dorm scoop doormen in New York. hold the secrets to the world yeah he'll since I've been traversing racing the city and just walking everywhere. I feel like I've seen a good amount of secret service people who wear the pins but I don't think I've spotted any diplomats in the wild so I've seen like more than usual amounts of like suburbans suburbans and escalades which is how you know like bigwigs in town totally. Do you think for the diplomats at you and weekdays. It's kind of like the Olympics like the Olympic Village just having lots of sex show. There's a big mixer. Will I feel like it is I drove past the Nigerian embassy because it's on like forty second second and it was popping like Sony Sony people outside inside walking around like it was so much security. They'd guardrails like it was crates. I feel like there are so many embassy parties and I don't know if I was like coming in from two small country wasn't isn't involved in drama like I would come to me. See my fellow diplomats and like maybe that's a meet cute but is that considered like traitorous trees. It's freezing. Yeah somebody think about that is the assistant to a didn't let hooking up with fellow. I think there are so or like a secret service hooked me up with fellow Hello Secret Service. I don't know I just think it could be really cute hallmark movie. Oh God it all comes back to homeland in our nation's united in our hearts united in the sack. We we get to tell you the craziest thing so ben yesterday left the House at eight thirty. Keep him out in the time to actually is a crazy story. He left the House at eight thirty to go record. It usually takes like an hour hour and a half sometimes get drinks afterwards so at ten o'clock he was on the way home and I said can you pick me up found soda so at ten o'clock exactly he calls me from the BOJ's. They don't have found soda. I'm like okay just forget it come home so he was on the corner of my apartment at ten o'clock and you know I'm face timing having you I'm watching TV and times rolling by actually some food and I look at my clock. It's ten forty five and I'm like Holy Shit like where's been bid for the last forty five minutes and I check this location location and it wasn't picking it up and call phone. This phone was off so obviously my mind always goes morbid. He was hit by a car and I'm kind of freaking out as tiny me and I was like no he definitely just doesn't want to come home empty handed and he's going to get you a soda like he will find you a soda. I wish okay I knew that wasn't the case again. Bet really one small thing and like all it takes us just to go. He's now. He's on a hunt for the soda. No trust me. That's not who I was just trying to keep spirits alive so I'm on I'm like just really freaking out like trying not to get so anxious and among the foam which came on the toilet and the doorbell rings and I'm like Oh it's bad so hung up open the door and he's he's like Sofa clemes. I was mugged and I'm like literally like my heartache. I'm like what are you okay like mugging. Let someone comes up to you to punch hugh like give me your money like sharing clueless like with a gun thing. I was wearing an Eliah so I'm like an IT really important design so he comes in the house and he's like yeah like I was walking home from the Bodega and I realize my wallet gone and I'm like they took it. Did he was like well. I don't know what that's up muggy. He's like someone took it on my pants while I wasn't looking so you pick pocketed. He's like Yeah Jones say muggy and then I'm like wait no. When were you pickpocketing because he bought himself a bottle of water at the Bodega so he's claiming that between the Bodega and my apartment literally less than a block he was picked pocketed okay so he went back to the Bodega looking all over for my baby someone found it in the data and took it like you pick pocketed? That's so classic bed like to deflect right. That is so confusing so he left he probably lasted in the Mohegan. Someone snatched is true. You're not leave anything hanging around and interesting but like the the way that he came in all sweaty his hair mask I was mugged. You live in New York and like it's very common but none of us I think I'm not gonNA ever experienced Jussie smollet. He's Benny smollet over got talking hilarious. That's what it was like. It was totally fake like I left shocked. I'm actually surprised that none of us like they have ever encountered a mugging like it's still common percents. Ben said it it was so believable but so unbelievable yeah that my heart sink I was like Oh my God. He needs to start carrying immerse. He does a drummer he is he. He needs a little purse or a fanny pack. There's some really cool moments fannies on the market right now him or he needs a little brief case. We tried to me. I can just see either way his pocket. I don't know if he was picked but a lot of guys they'd just wear their their small jeans and they're big wallet in their back pocket. He was wearing baggy sweatpants and I know he's a victim and we're saying what was see wearing that like I just feel as though immerse is very an underrated thing it would be picked picked pocketed yeah but it sounds like he left it in the Bodega more locally course he did it was just so dramatic for literally no reason like getting my spirit's all tangled when nothing was wrong and that he wasn't isn't with Theo but again he wasn't mugged so open he was totally would have been fine the auto taking care but house we need to talk about Samantha on with the because he is just getting more beautiful full by the precious and more perfect and like I feel like there can't be that can't be Britain's almost like evolving at such a rapid pace that it's like. It's it's it's beyond Darwin's expectations check his. DNA turns out. He's one hundred percent that bitch hundred percent that kid totally cuties. He's also something funny that I wanted to share the toasters now that we're talking about like Mason whenever we tried to make Merch Mace because we didn't try we had the idea out there brainstorm and everyone was like fully illegal enemy by it in New York like people I know their parents get it for them in New Jersey Yeah so there won't be any merchants coming soon but those cozy may coming soon Satan's girder lines because it's the good stuff. It's the best stuff yeah Lou well. You're going away this weekend. We're going to miss you. Yes I'm going to Malibu for a retreat with vital proteins and it's like so far for a weekend but they told me Lorna Liz Irving so I'm like okay I'll go Malibu's just like so beautiful weather and it's like the sheikh is trip ever. It's like nobody is so vital. Proteins is so premium so premiums really excited a really good. I'm really excited. You know what it's like. It's devoted oded relaxing like there's facials. I'm really didn't even think I'm going to have a drink like I'm really looking forward to detoxify famous last yeah. Maybe like Saturday Friday like you'll be at Nobu Oh and like choose putting me for my show. We'll just put in my one woman. Show tickets available Dot Com San Diego San Francisco and Los Angeles next week. I wonder if now this matter has been to every show like if she knows your whole set and throw her under study I literally could. Let's say I got sick. You go you come on stage. What's the first thing you say to wherever you are? That's what she said and then and then well to be here you know I think the best one yet correct but it's not no. It's not no. It's not that's hilarious. How do I end before that with my last words? Thank you good very good. She's paying attention. It's funny well. We'll be here this weekend snatching. I'm happy for. Are you know that I am yeah so I got to the airport so we got to chuck. Oh yeah everyone let's make sure today and they just want to say that it is from one of our sponsors she gazal like are are on that shoot Asil Grind and you wanted to get it cute very cute. Steven Spielberg's new movie doing Challenges Avenue because I was at the beginning of the year and that that the whole process got so much buzz that people started thinking that that was the actual website story. I don't know if you've heard about that. I actually thought that it is like worse. Spielberg originally said he was gonna be at the screening so that's a little bit different. You know that's what I initially we heard and I was like I just like to be in his presence and look at his face while he's watching. This is like the tip of his hat. Yeah just not even watch what would did just look at him. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah but no. That's originally what I heard so I can. You know if you weren't able I wasn't able to see it on Broadway at the time but I mean that adaptation doing something like that would be a dream and acting Olympic dream and I think my other thing would just be fulfilling that physical side side too. You know that I saw active so like a physical roll like I'm. I'm such a fan of like Michelle Rodriguez. Yeah Yeah I mean Zoe Saldana L. Donna like that world like Avatar. Much Babbel's teaching method and speech recognition technology has been proven to be the most effective across multiple studies so the lessons are created by experts like people like a computer in translation machine gene which as you know as anybody that's ever use google translate. Joh- I'll go there more or less K said to newmarket therapy call Nora's going so I was like bracing for relief myself but cheeky cheeky. I smell the coconuts house from Cuba brought lotion when I heard that so that's my deodorant yea speaking of Tony. I shouldn't have but I did because I I read reviews. I don't do that awesome. I have to say a lot of the reviews are very positive. Warms my heart. No of course you're gravitates tour. Maybe not less less than wonderful wonderful and I was gonna read one record. You've been doing that and I I've told you guys that at least for now I'm going to stay away from them until we get a a good number number of sorts under our belt. That's that's Carlos is flown. That's my is honestly. I probably will give into it one day but right but now but now I can't I get like anxious even thinking about the ordering because right now when I was looking up the review I wanted to you mentioned it's gone. I saw another one. No it's still there another one who wished I hadn't seen this one okay so say don't WanNa read it. I'm GONNA YOU WANNA the gist of it was the person writing it identifies Latino and has led friends and he's and they said that they don't talk like we talk right. They say spangler exists but that we it's not like people don't talk like that which we don't need to focus on a negative thing but Edinburgh's up a really good point about code switching switch and yeah which is which is an interesting because for the record. We're not putting any airs I mean. We're literally if you're listening right now ever wonder if we're trying to put something on weird risa truly streaks like that yeah. I get called out all the time but but it's fine because it makes me. It's you know but the point is. That's what we're trying to this podcast. which is I understand why some people might feel weird? It's because it's unfiltered in the sense that we're not trying. We're only speaking for ourselves. If there are other people out there that are like us. They'll understand that that's what it is and so like when you tell me this. I hear I hear this common to review or whatever and it's funny that you that someone is like. Oh identifies Latinos host anguish of the thing but people don't speak like that. I think that's a that's kind of part of the problem not to be like negative yeah. It's kind of like yeah. It could could be like that because again like we're all from different places and where you live and you grow up. I like is the true reason how we are how we speak. The reason I ask yeah the reason I am the way I am is because I grew up in Miami with a Cuban family but I also like went to school with a lot of different other unlike other Latinos of not just letting white friends black friends Asian friends it really was a melting pot so for me it was Bangladesh like I would be speaking to my Colombian friends and like Miscellany Alec personnel but I'm not Colombian and then I would be speaking to like of an blake trauma or like what are those like slang. Come out when you're just speaking two people that you feel comfortable with and again if you're from Miami and you don't know Spanish or like some like I don't know how you have survived because the even the whitest like Caucasian person that is on the street they know how to like they know how to get by with like. Ali's understanding sanding it and they they will say something to you in Spangler or Spanish because they you you need it survived. There seems very myopic to say that because you don't speak a certain way arrests of the Latin x community wouldn't sound like that but anyway I digress Tony. You brought it up. Let's hear what you think speaks to like something thing. We want to celebrate a live show and this show is the diversity of the Latte Nex experience. I guess we keep hitting that new hammer on that nail on the head but it's true so like people that are in touch with with their family heritage. Oh I mean it to be honest with you. You know what it sounds like to me. It's it's very much sounds like toxic. Shame and some people will find something annoying because truly they feel like they can't be themselves selves were they can't speak a certain way or they've taught. They've been taught to like. Take a down a notch to survive within their community so it's almost like a it's almost like a resentment of like oh you guys get the talk this way and you guys get to have a podcast sounds like this. This is bad because because they felt the the negative aspects of doing the understand psychologically you hate it because it's really what you want to be in. You're not allowed to I mean since reading that review a couple of weeks ago. I was checking myself. Mike and that's dumb but like if I don't WanNa read it but here's the thing you know what somebody says to me and okay like sure like it does make me feel a little bit bad because I'm like oh like damn I hope people don't think that again. I'm putting on an accident or I'm speaking Spanish for whatever reason like I- legit I mess up in real life all the time. I speak to people that don't speak Spanish in Spanish initially like I'll be like no because I want you to make sure you get up on it but I like. That's just how it like. It just comes naturally and it's truly nothing that I'm putting on but then also I have so many many friends and I don't care like what one thing that sounds like it'd because I have so many other friends have told me while like you make me feel like I can be so myself myself. I feel so Latino when I'm around. You and your friends like I've had a lot of like other people like Oh like I feel like I've embrace my my Latina being denial since I since I started being friends with your like we've done unim- proverb you know you you've inspired me to get to like really find this place of character whenever this is obviously like a lot of my comedy actor friends that they felt like like they didn't have some type of group of people or whatever growing up even within their family their Latino but and it's not saying oh you're whitewash. It's just you do your maybe they grew up with parents that were taught to not which is something we have spoken about before a lot of Latinos that came that that the immigrants have come to the United States were taught. You don't speak Spanish. Don't have an accumulator so yeah exactly and so now. It's like a fucking opposite like no oh like you. WanNa speak Spanish they want and they feel they feel embarrassed because people call them all like there's so many actors. I like I hear interviews and they're like yeah like I don't speak Spanish but like I really really you don't do that. Don't make fun of these. People like just let them like. They're trying your goes either way it goes it goes both ways for people to know Spanish but I've never over at somebody go. You know what I'm glad. My parents didn't teach Spanish. I've never never and here's the thing too I feel like the the point. The crux of it is like everybody's just starving for refer like a place that they can go home and that could mean location that friendship. I'm GonNa give you an example of like me when I was in college and this is nothing necessarily to do with ethnicity the Orlando but but it's a good example of like what you forget when I was in college. It was really hard for me to like make some really good friends and I would like struggle. I mean I made a lot of great friends but the type of friendships that I'm used that I grew up with Puerto Rico. We're very like my true. Friends are like brothers and that I was trying to find that because I was you know when I was in college. I spent a lot all the time I spend like four or five years and I was trying to find that during the semesters and I could never do it and it was very frustrating until I came back home for Christmas or I came back for the summer. It was was like Oh. It's not that hard. When you have like you know what I mean so it's like it. It goes back to like starving for that affection or that. Representation comes from finding your people. You don't have to put on airs cares about it. You can just be who you are and that says a lot about the how we're brought up and how we're dealing with the situation. You're in the United States do you do you feel alike. Do you feel like you guys code switch. When you're talking to all the time yeah okay. I'll say because I definitely like I noticed like even sometimes when like I'll be again I get the whole lot of people are always like your soul Tino. I'm like okay. I don't sometimes offensive like sometimes it's it's like kind of offender insult. Oh Yeah No. I've literally micro aggression. No I've met like like people that I couldn't believe that they said it to me but whatever anyways I feel like sometimes I'll be in where I what I think is like a very professional setting or whatever and I feel like like university. RISA comes out and she's she's knows big words and she knows how to speak in her like unlike my my chest is up. My head is up and then. I'm like when I'm like with my real legit Familia and like my friends. I'm like I'm just designing. I'd say like seventeen hundred times and I know I say it and I don't care but then when I'm with other people second guessing myself also ASSOC- and it's it's so much work for my brain because I'm like I don't WanNa say this English word with an accent or say it incorrectly because then I'm going to either get called out or her. They're gonNA look at me like if I'm dumb or they're gonNA make fun and it's fine if you know me and we're friends but like if you don't like sometimes sometimes that sounds very condescending and puts it also happens in Spanish oh yeah. Am East Caribbean Spanish speakers. I've definitely might code switching shing happens more when I'm talking in Spanish and people can't understand the rhythm of Puerto Rican Spanish and I I I've had to done it. I do a Mexican accent send because of work here in La and sometimes it's frustrating because people will be like like I just wanted to get you just want to have a conversation but at the same time what I did try to stop I people because a.

"I don't like doing radio ever unless I'm totally in control. Really because I have a face for TV. Not right. Yeah. That's true. This is may soon Ziad. She's a stand up comedian slurry and everyone thinks I'm drunk. Now, the reason why is a little self conscious about doing radio is because of a disability. She has which in her stand up routine. She tackles head on here. She is on the Ted stage. My name is may soon Zayid, and I am not drunk, but the doctor who delivered me was he my mom fix different times in different directions. Suffocating poor loan me in the process as a result. I have cerebral palsy, which means I shake all the time. Look. It's exhausting. I'm like Shakira. Shakira meets Muhammad Ali. He is not genetic. It's not a birth defect. You can't catch it. No one put a curse on my mother's uterus. And I didn't get it. Because my parents are first cousins, which they are. It only happens from accidents. Like what happened to me on my birthday? Now. I must warn, I'm not inspirational. I don't want anyone in this room to feel bad for me because at some point in your life. You have dreamt of being disabled come on and journey with me. It's Christmas Eve, you're.

"Newborn children on TV shows great unforced errors of because everyone wants the drama of pregnancy and childbirth land wanted to child. Yeah. And my third show now baby actors on it. And I'm like. But I, I love that you will not ignore this because she is making choices every time. She does anything which many of us are since I had a kid, highly tuned to certain things like the baby had an eight o'clock, eight PM call time outrage having having where the fuck was his energy last season. He had kids, but me because is like he's fine. These kids are all disasters when it comes to bed time. We're okay. He's getting paid. I'm on record saying we shouldn't maybe eight pm acting. This is this is this is first second energy. Exactly. Was you Carly you Liz. What are they not gonna sleep suffering, who cares. Credit learning. A lot of the dash racks. Speaking of the on samba I, I wondered if it was delicate in any way behind the scenes bringing in a new member of the family because you have the new. I don't wanna say, improve you have a new junk chain. Adding to an already swelling cast was a decision, the literal opposite shocked. It was like we were. We had and I think we like anything. We take Karen casting people who feel like they are. Yeah, we weren't trying to cast somebody who was going to blow up the group. We wanted somebody who ultimately, we were telling the story of she got sucked into the groom. So I think that Shakira has lovely energy and was great, and the girls just all sort of swarmed her and brought her interesting training and it was and sedan will know l. who plays cherry was so welcoming, and so amazing and like Tucker as her date to the sag awards. It was excited off at the ABC club on set, and then we do all the other stuff that we do. But I think we're going to check in with alley to see how she cares fitting. If we needed to kind of welcome her more and it was just, we. Shakira. Yeah. Yeah, but you know, there's a, there's a, it's nice to hear that because I would say to to learn happening on scenes because Chile's audience member, I feel that you to the rest of your staff are doing that for these characters. I was thinking about how much I care about cherry and Keith. Yep. Yeah, I care about them. I'm invested in every time, Keith is on street. I'm thinking about how he's having such a good time share is such magic and their marriage is something I think just because I feel like we don't get to have their under a lot of marriages on the show, but I love the invested in that. I feel like there's a way to look at this however, many members, you have storylines relationships. You could think when the feeling could be were being overwhelmed with information, or he could say, oh, there was a moment for them here, and there were moments that we didn't see prior to this and moments. We don't see afterwards and yeah, pick your spots. Yeah. Our number one priority is to make you care. Then comes plot. We're gonna use the fought to do that straight up. Yeah. Yeah. We. Well, that's the type of storytelling. We care about two more actors that I care about care about specifically, I wanted to talk about Marigny near to. We talked about him last year when a totally wonderful surprise he was this year. Also. I just want to say congratulations on finally, adding someone else to the Italian but come on. He's really Jewish hall of fame, George Costanza was lonely there for a while. And now Sam Sylvia joins Marcus, very, like, always, really. We're like. We're like this when he says it, I'm like, okay, come on. Yeah, I love it. But there's a Jewish at talion overlap, and there's a big city by a hand, talking kind of thing. I'm a fan of this. But again, I looked at him as someone who he's he's more of a mess than season one, obviously doing a lot more drugs or at least we see him doing drugs, and it was great to see that you could still use him as as an engine for for conflict or for being demanding or unreasonable or so, emotionally naked just can't turn away while also acknowledging how lovable he is in this part..

"Your mom rack though, how do you remember she overnight over the moon? Hostile to right here at that point, y'all sell my ball. I'm also was raised by single mom. I wasn't raised with any brothers or sisters on goals cousins. Nothing. My grandmother took my mother in when I was young, their best friends, so she's not really my grandma. She had two moms said, yes, I have two months. Yeah, basically, she was also, I mean, just elated. It was such a crazy experience, and that's the first time actually like realized she didn't know how big the dream was either. And I was like, wow, we're more similar than I than I think like, we're, we're the same. But yeah, that ended up just changing me and giving me a new sense of confidence. I just was around three models. Three other fence that three other girls were models will Amina like they were signed models. So from me to be next to them, I was like, God are you're trying to tell me that I just need to be happy with myself, you know, like you need to. I need to be happy, we'll you radiate light. Yeah, but I didn't feel that way. I didn't feel that way and you. You can help other people, but you need help yourself. I like you. You have to put the oxygen mask on you before you put it on the child. So I feel like I wasn't doing that ever and it took that to, you know, validate it for me. Sometimes you need to have a lot of faith and I believe in God. But sometimes you just need to feel it and you need to get the reassurance from the universe and you need to take it in and realize like how much you've worked for the moment and ground yourself. So I think that was the first time I was like, I think I'm gonna move to LA and do it. You know. Joy. You're lot sophomore, junior at this one. I'm a junior and he got one more year to graduate. Yes, yes. And then I convinced the dean of my school. She was like Shakira, no one in the dance program misses more than eight classes. You can't. You're going to fail. You're going to get a d. you're not going to pass. I'm like, you know what? Cokely. Let me tell you something. Returning. Talking to said something. I work hard number one for you to tell me at me that are not going to graduate number one. Number two, I was like, isn't this what this program is about? Aren't I already working? Yeah, you know any. It may not be in the modern dance or classical dance. I may not be a ballerina, you know, dancing for a ABT, but this is a sensually apart of what you guys are teaching us. And I'm using my dance in this very simple gory Agassi, but I'm using it and you know, this is really good for us for the school for for everyone. I mean, we at the time we didn't know about commercial dance. We only did were trained dancing like proper foundational classroom training companies, modern dance companies that was the aim. So for me to go into different direction, it really opened up there is, you know, there is this whole other side, so I was able to you. It is a slap in the face they did. I remember a lot of the studio. Were like, that's unfair, but she's making a lot of money. Hang off her student loan. Yes, exactly. And I also feel like I tried to tell as many of them as I could because I just like to share, like I love to share and for all of us to succeed, I feel like that's the only way so I was always like, guys, do you know that there's a whole 'nother side to this, like there's a whole 'nother side for the footed people. Flatfooted by the way. I know you guys don't cancel. Laws or jealous. I am very grounded dodge, so nice that she left us. Thank you. Should care..
