What Happened to the Unified GOP in the Midterms?
"When we think back to when we were in power, when Trump was president, sure, there were some never trumpers, but for the most part, we all unified behind Trump. And when I think back to the State of the Union speeches, Trump gave, I can't think of a time when the Republican narrative was more clear. And the Democrats, while clearly opposed, you remember Nancy Pelosi physically ripping up Trump's speech, our whole side was quite unified. But ever since the midterm results of 2022, this unity has slowly disappeared. Some of it started in 2020 and maybe even more in 2021, but after November 8th, 2022, very quickly, conversations began about what went wrong and why, and people immediately started pointing fingers. There was a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking going on as they say. I know many of you have likely seen the infighting taking place. And it's very disturbing. Some say the midterms were great and maybe it wasn't a red wave, but hey, we control Congress. This group has a very positive outlook on how things went. And the party's recent expansion into the black and Hispanic vote were unheard of years ago. In fact, despite ballot shenanigans by the Democrat party, the GOP won the popular vote in the midterms by 6 points. Others say the midterms were far from a red wave. We were expecting a bloodbath, blowout election, where we'd control the House and the Senate, many thought this would happen because Biden seemed so obviously bad. With his policies so obviously harming Americans with record high inflation and people feeling it at the gas pump. But alas, we missed the mark. We overestimated our wins. We counted our chickens before they hatched maybe. Others say we've could have gotten far more seats, but we didn't because of various reasons, whether it was candidate quality or it was lack of fundraising or mismanagement of funds. As McConnell backed Murkowski instead of shabaka and left Blake masters out to dry. There are many reasons why people feel this election did not turn out the way we had hoped. But nevertheless, the point is, they are disappointed, and we are not unified.

"I think that some of the best because she's so talented most are not. Okay, other updates. Here's why you can't have ranked choice voting. Is the worst. This is so frustrating. Protect democracy, but allow ranked choice voting. Kelly shabaka, she won the most votes she won a plurality of votes in a four way race with 44%. So she won the race, right, Charlie. Not in Alaska. But she had the most votes. Doesn't matter. You have to get 50 plus one or else or else what? You go to the second round of ranked choice voting. The what? So in Alaska, the way it works, and this was designed and implemented because thanks to project veritas, we know this. Lisa Murkowski put together a coup in Alaska. And basically said that if you do not get 50 plus one, then it goes to the second round. Now, some people say, well, Charlie, to be fair, we're not won his race, but he didn't get more than 50%. Well, that's a runoff system. This is a this is not even allowing for a runoff, which I would support. If there is a runoff now between Murkowski and shabaka, then great. That's fine. Let's do it. Shabaka would win by 20 points. But it would be would it be would have run off with the ranked choice voting again? No, no, no, no. Well, that's the point, is that there isn't. Instead of a runoff, which is annoying but understandable. Right. Because some people say, well, hold on a second. But Georgia. Like Charlie, you know, isn't a runoff system helping you in Georgia. Of course it is. Yes, it is, because Herschel Walker did not get a plurality. We're not going to plurality. The point is this is that this now goes to this goofy algorithmic second and third round, where they have to tabulate the votes, and I'll be very honest. I do not even understand how this is tabulated, where it depends on whether or not people ranked shabaka or if they did a second candidate. Shabaka's hope in this whole tabulation process is that if a vast majority of people only ranked shabaka and left the rest of the ballot completely blank. That's her hope. Now, in the congressional race, which is equally as frustrating, Democrat Mary polota got 7 47% before the runoff while Palin and begich are right around 25%. If all Republicans stayed loyal this cycle, this will go to the Republican Party, but that didn't help happen in the special election, and it probably won't happen here. Therefore, Democrats are probably going to win the Alaska congressional seat. And so basically it looks as if, unless there's some sort of surprise and Alaska, thanks to Mitch McConnell's $9 million, Lisa Murkowski is going to hold on to her Senate seat despite losing a plurality of votes in the first round of ranked choice voting with four other competitors. Think about it not only is Kelly shabaka popular, she's so popular that she got 40 4% against four competitors and that's likely not going to be enough. So he spent $9 million in Alaska. How much did he spend here in Arizona? By the way. 500,000 to a million. Sort of double check. Almost enough. The Arizona and Blake masters is right on the right on the brink of losing by 10,000 winning by 20,000. We don't know until the final ballots are dropped. Okay. And so this is where that's where it stands in Alaska right now. It looks like the Democrats are going to hold on to the House seat and they're going to and by the way, beating it incumbent. That's a big deal. It's very hard to shoot incumbent. Lax salt is learning that in Nevada. This is a great year for incumbents. It just was..

Mitch McConnell's Unforgivable Betrayal
"To comment on the Republican establishment as well because I've been pretty upset the last couple of weeks with what I've been seeing, which is a betrayal of amazing candidates across the country that are left to fend for themselves. It's a very serious problem. And we should never forget it. We're not going to know for probably a week, so brace yourself for impact. Georgia, Arizona and Pennsylvania are already telling us that it's going to take a week for us to get election results. So just get ready for that. Remember, you get what you put up with and Brian Kemp and raffensperger and do see an Arizona. We're not bold enough to get the election reform changes necessary. Now I hope there's no fraud. I hope that we overwhelm the fraud. I think we will. I think that Carrie Lake is going to win the governor's race in Arizona. I really do. And so we're fighting right now like crazy to make sure Blake masters wins against the fraud of Mark Kelly, but let me tell you the problem. Blake masters has raised about 15 to $20 million. Mark Kelly has raised $75 million and Mitch McConnell is instead spending money in Alaska to go defeat a great Republican. $9 million has been spent on defeating a Trump endorsed candidate Kelly shabaka, meanwhile, Blake masters is being outspent in Arizona. Meanwhile, he pulled out all the money in New Hampshire with a great candidate Don baldick, and he goes up in the polls and he says, maybe I'll do a million. You see McConnell is not counting votes. He's counting seats. And this is a huge problem. I'm telling you right now, he has betrayed the grassroots of this country and has allowed our candidates and left them on an island. $9 million in Alaska, while our candidates can't raise money while we are being outspent at every single corner in turn. So you ask the question have we done enough with election integrity? No.

Ron DeSantis in Florida. Guys, we have the greatest fighting team that has ever been assembled at the state level and Ohio. And they will have JD Blake. This is why this election. I'm going to tell you guys, we have the coolest youngest, most vibrant, exciting candidate. And these people will be in public office. They are so scared of this in 2024. This should motivate you now more than ever to show up, show up big on Tuesday because if we get this across the finish line, America is in, I'm telling you, America is in a more exciting better place than it's been in 20 years. And we have the Democrats on the ropes in a very profound way. Alaska, what's going on? We have a very loyal Alaska audience on real America's voice. I get emails from Alaska. Hundreds of emails a week. I love Alaska. Kelly shabaka against the snake because the turtle is supporting the snake. What is going on with the Alaska Senate primary? I'm going to tell you right now, Charlie, and everybody in Alaska hear my voice. I want you to get involved. I want you to get involved the Republican Party. I want you to demand great party leadership at the local level and you need to push back against ranked choice voting after this election. It's too late now though. It's too late now, but you got to turn the ship around and then be a spokesperson for the rest of the country to say, don't let this happen to your state because unfortunately we had some Republicans asleep at the wheel, not understanding the context of this. And shabaka should be your senator. And I want you to know this right now, we are in, if you can pull this out and knock out Murkowski, it's going to signal something special for the rest of the country. And so we're counting on you because it's going to be the last votes to come in. That's the last race to come in. Just so everyone knows, you have incumbent moderate, very, very moderate senator Lisa Murkowski. She's a Democrat. Let's just call her what she is. She is a Democrat. She voted to indict Donald Trump with impeachment, Mitch McConnell, who we call the turtle, just so everyone knows our little animal references here, but I call Murkowski the snake. So he pumped in $9 million. How much do you spend here in Arizona? Almost nothing. Goose. He's never been here for Blake masters. Mitch McConnell does not care about Arizona. He doesn't care about getting this over with, instead he's more concerned, not what Don baldick, not with all of that. No, but he spent $9 million propping up Murkowski against an amazing candidate. Delhi shabaka, in Charlie, I want your audience to understand this. And this is the politics of things that most people don't see or understand. The amount of money the amount of money that McConnell raised for a Republican state to take out another Republican is not only dastardly because of the money they spent on that, but you understand that by him doing that, it signaled millions of other dollars to go to that state to help Murkowski that could have gone places that we needed to win. So we're talking about an impact that had rings that probably 20, $30 million plus. And this is part of the reason why everyone's so angry at Mitch McConnell and they should be. They rightfully should be. Mitt Romney came out defending Mitch McConnell yesterday. This is how you know giving him the how bad things are for Mitch McConnell that he has to have Mitt Romney come out and say something nice about him. I'm telling you right now, it's not looking good for Mitch and the biggest slap in the face to get the Republican Party and the establishment correct here would be to win big with the right person in the last Scott for leader, no doubt. Okay, so let's go to another race here where people are very, very interested and we're getting a ton of emails about this, the New Mexico governor's race. That's a sleeper Tyler. Ron Shetty versus the woman. Yes. That is the worst. I can't remember her name. I never remember her name lujan Grisham or whatever. Yeah. So in New Mexico, New Mexico is kind of similar. So there's three states that obviously everybody I think is really watching down the gubernatorial side. You got New Mexico. You've got Oregon and you've got Minnesota. And obviously New York is now thrown in that category too. If Republicans have the kind of day that we need to have, you know, for some Senate races and some of these congressional races, you're going to see some of these governors get over the top because and this is the thing to talk about. We always talk about top down, we hear RGA talking, RNC, RNC, and our SC talking. The grassroots, I'm telling you the school boards, school board races and things like that. That's what flipped Virginia. That's what's going to flip a New Mexico. That's what's going to flip it. Oregon. That's what's going to flip a Minnesota. That's where the Republican Party has to invest this time and effort moving forward is when and flip the school board races because you went all the way up ticket when you do that. That's right. It can happen run Shetty can become the next governor of New Mexico. And by the way, in New Mexico, that's why it's happening because parents are so ticked off because schools are so poorly run in New Mexico. That's right. And they're not a school choice state like Arizona where we've fixed that..

Mollie Hemingway Calls In to Explain the Latest Midterm Shenanigans
"Now is Molly Hemingway from the federalist and you gotta check out her book. Her book on the 2020 election rigged was just such a great book. Molly, welcome back to the program. Thank you for joining us. Molly, I want to talk about something here that's really firing me up. The turtle is spending $9 million in Alaska to prop up Lisa Murkowski. Meanwhile, Blake masters and Herschel Walker and Oz and Ron Johnson and JD Vance and Adam laxalt are in a fight for their political life. And now Republican Lisa Murkowski pledges to vote for the Democrat in the Alaska House over Sarah Palin. This is what the turtle is subsidizing. Molly, what's going on here? Yeah, it's just a very weird situation in Alaska because the general election is pitting two Republican candidates against each other. You have Lisa Murkowski, who, as you note, has promised to vote for the Democrat running for the house race versus Kelly shabaka, who's the conservative endorsed Republican endorsed candidate in that race. So no matter who wins, you get a Republican. So why is Mitch McConnell devoting 7 million plus of his PAC money to that race when you have these races that are where that money could be much better utilized for a larger Republican majority. And so people are frustrated and just it's a good example. It's not the only situation where Mitch McConnell's choices have been bizarre. You know, he famously abandoned the Arizona race, which really needs money because that's the race that Democrats have focused laser focused on in their attempt to keep Blake masters from winning that race and also in the New Hampshire race. He pulled money out of there, which is a surprisingly close race given that Democrats were supposed to have an easy hold. But this is his approach.

I want to get to some sound here, but I just want to make sure everyone knows the name, Tom Emer, because here's what's going to happen. We take back the House of Representatives, and then there's a deep state within the Republican Party. What are we going to do about that? Exactly. What are we going? We have to make sure there are no longer in power because NBC now says there's massive red flags for Democrats. So what good is it to win Congress? And then do nothing and as I was going to tell you, I called them Vichy French. The Vichy French were people in the French state who were collaborators with the national socialist workers Nazi government. That is most of the Republican Party. They are appeasers of the evil Democrats of the marxists. So someone says Charlie, are you sure you have the right name, Tom Emerson, Minnesota? Yes, that's right. He's from Minnesota, and he's the chairman of the NRCC, a very powerful man. Very powerful person that is trying to preserve the regime of the uni party in Washington, D.C.. We got to get rid of him. It is a very winnable effort. We've got to install Jim banks at his place. He's in Michelle bachmann's old district, by the way. And by the way, just to broaden this, I know many of you are saying, we just got an email here. Charlie, why is it that I see nonstop advertising for Mark Kelly? Well, largely because the turtle is spending money up in Alaska to go support Lisa Murkowski against Kelly shabaka and we are directing the Republican establishment would rather have Lisa Murkowski, a Democrat who calls herself a Republican defeat shabaka, then Blake masters or Herschel Walker. We have got to send a message to this Republican Party. So let's go to this cut three. Yes, there are some great trends, but what good will it to be to win if we have the deep state operatives in charge? Play cut three. Digging deeper here. We've got some all time midterm highs that should serve as red flags for the Democrats. The wrong track 71%, all time midterm high since we've been polling. How about presidential approved disapproval on the economy sitting at 57%? Again, we hadn't recorded that. Ever that high in our poll. And the third one, the direction of the economy. And the next year is going to get better or worse, 50% say it's going to get worse. Again, an all time high in midterm polling. All time high in midterm polling, these trends are not good for Democrats at all. And how are the Democrats responding? Donna brazile, who always she racialized as everything. She's a race lady two. Play cut 19. You have record numbers of people voting early in Georgia. Record numbers of African Americans within early, and yet the Democrats are saying it's Jim Crow two. It is. It is, unfortunately, it is Jim Crow. It's Jim Crow, these people are unbelievable. Unbelievable. Breaking.

"Just as Republicans appear poised to do very well in the midterm election, we have some very strange disruptive and in some ways destructive behavior by a Mitch McConnell. Now, let's start by talking about Lisa Murkowski in Alaska. We use some Murkowski is turning out to be a real snake. First of all, she helped to orchestrate a ranked voting system that is taking a Republican state like Alaska and handing it off to the Democrats. Why? Because when you have multiple people in the same race, the ranked voting system doesn't mean that the party that gets the most votes. In fact, Republicans got 60% of the vote and yet the candidate Sarah Palin lost or Democrat Mary peltola. Now, in a new development, a very disturbing, Lisa Murkowski has endorsed Mary for peltola. The Democrat and Mary beltola has turned around and endorsed, so she's endorsed Mary for beltola for Congress and Mary pelto does turn around and endorse Lisa Murkowski for the Senate. Why? Because Kelly shabaka, who's been on this podcast, now I think two or three times has been giving Murkowski a run for her money. She is quite possible that shabaka will pull this off and Murkowski is running scared, so she's basically trying to corral some democratic support to neutralize the fact that Republicans are going to vote for her. Now, my point is, what is Mitch McConnell doing with all this answer? He's pumping in millions of dollars to protect Murkowski. Why would you protect markowski against Kelly shabaka? Republican. And she's a solid Republican. She would be a very valuable vote on the Republican side. Lisa Murkowski is actually much more unreliable. But this brings me to a point that was clarified for me by Michelle bachmann this weekend Debbie and I were at the focus on the family retreat. Kind of a donor retreat at the beautiful Broadmoor hotel in Colorado. Michelle bachmann was there and she's like, you know what? Mitch McConnell doesn't care about any of that. He doesn't even care whether he's the majority or the minority leader, as long as he's the leader. And what he wants in the Senate are sycophants who are loyal to him, and even though Lisa Murkowski portrays herself as very independent, she's a McConnell sycophant. And so McConnell would rather risk what all this money and then risk the losing the race. That's not what's critical to him, what's critical to him is he wants to, he wants ultimately to remain leader. And he wants people who are going to be, you can call him McConaughey's in the Senate. We see this not just in Alaska, but we also see this in New Hampshire. Now look at the New Hampshire Senate race, the incumbent is Maggie, Hassan, who is running against a prompter named dawn bolk. McConnell tried to backboard opponent, bulldog won the nomination, and you would think McConnell would then say, okay, listen, I've got money. I'm going to put it in and what the McConnell people do is they're actually hurting Don baldock. How do they do it? They very noisily and loudly pull money out.

"Let's start by talking about Lisa Murkowski in Alaska.

The Charlie Kirk Show

"Okay, this is a weird but simple example play cut 44. Under ranked choice voting rules, it's not enough just to get the most votes, you need a majority. More than 50% of the votes. Purples ahead, but it has only 7 votes. It needs at least 11 to win. So we eliminate the color in last place. Sorry, orange fans, we're going to your second choice. Two more for green, one for purple. But no color has 11 votes yet. Still no majority. Bye bye blue. One more for purple? Four for green. And we have a winner. The ranked choice voting way. If you wanted to destabilize faith in elections, do that. If you wanted to sow distrust in our democracy, that's a great way to do it. I understand it, and it is still confusing to me. And by the way, it also begs the question of who's doing the counting? Who's doing the tabulating? We had enough problems in two 1020 with signature verifications and ballot trafficking and mules. Now we want to overly complicated and say, well, yeah, bye bye blue and by orange and we're doing this. So now we have an algorithm. We have a multi process tabulation and introduces potential counting and tallying issues, some that could be innocent mistakes or some that could be malevolent. Some that could be benign or some that could be actually in some ways sinister to try to boost a candidate, that video is just one of many that explains ranked choice voting, but you go to the website, it's spreading all across the country. In Kansas, for example, they use ranked choice voting in the 2020 Democrat presidential primary. They use ranked choice voting in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina for military and overseas voters. In Virginia, they used ranked choice voting in their Republican nominating convention, Indiana. They used it in their Republican nominating convention. This is exactly how the Soros groups operate. They introduce it and they let it spread like a contagion. Under massive propaganda. And if you are a moderate, if you're a mit Romney type, if you're a Murkowski type, this is a gift from above. You don't have to win over voters. You don't have to win over your Republican voters anymore. You get us one over a little bit of Republicans and be like, well, a Democrat is going to win. You might as well write me second. Now shabaka is telling people the only rank her first because people get confused and might rank her multiple times, nullifying their votes. So this is how insane this gets. So this is the ballot. So if in every let's pretend candidate a is Kelly shabaka. If you ranked her first through every single one, then it nullifies your entire vote. So if you rank Kelly one two three all the way across the board, it cancels your entire ballot. How is that democratic exactly? You know, for the folks that were always like, every ballot should count, it doesn't matter if the signature doesn't match..

The Charlie Kirk Show
"shabaka" Discussed on The Charlie Kirk Show
"Ranked choice voting is a huge threat. And it is currently being used in Alaska as a uni party ploy to defeat Kelly shabaka. We got to get Kelly shabaka over 50% in the first round of voting. Which is a side note, and this is very, this is just one of the most important things I got to say, which is if you have a state that has ranked choice voting, just pick your top candidate and that is it. Ryan emailed us and reminded me, please educate your audience, they need to just pick their top choice and leave the others blank. That's right. You are not forced to fill out the rest. And so Annie says this, Charlie, can you please explain ranked choice voting? It's very hard to understand. I have tried to understand it, but till now have been unable to wrap my head around it, I'm sure there's others like me. Perfectly understandable Annie, it took me a while to understand it too. So let me do the best job I possibly can. And we'll play that video again, but that was a little short. You get a ballot. You have all the candidates listed, and it kind of goes in columns. So hear me out here. Columns from left to right. And the columns go through round one. Round two. Round three and round four. And depending on how the ballot is configured, you rank your candidate as to be your preference, one, two, three, or four. So you say this is my first candidate. This is my second candidate. This is my third candidate. This is my fourth candidate. And so then through the rounds, it goes through, okay, so candidate a was your first choice? Candidate B was your second choice? Candidate C was your third choice and candidate D was your fourth choice. And so when they tabulate it, they'll say, okay, let's do our first round of counting. And let's say that Kelly shabaka in Alaska, there's a picture of ranked choice voting. Let's say Kelly shabaka in Alaska gets 48% of the vote. Pretty impressive, right? 48% against three other candidates, not enough. So then Kelly shabaka will go to the second round of voting. And then they will tabulate if anybody, then they I'm sorry, this is where it gets complicated. If I understand correctly, then they eliminate the last place person. When then it goes to the second round of voting. And then they tabulate them again. This see now with the last person eliminated and all the people that had the last person ranked first, they retaliate them again. And then if no one gets to 50 plus percent Kelly shabaka gets back to 49%, well, then they go to the third choice of voting, eliminating whoever got last again. And it goes through this process until somebody gets 50 plus percent of the vote. Now, if you're confused, that's the point. I do the best I could. I apologize if that didn't make any sense. Essentially, there are rounds of voting, giving a preference on the rank. Now, this is going to sound a little bit more clandestine than it actually is, but it is effectively an algorithm. Now, I'm not saying that to freak you out. The media is going to have a field day when I say that. But it is a matrix of which how the votes are counted, right? Because if it was ranked choice voting and you win with a plurality, not a majority, then there's really no need for it. But they say, well, this is the most democratic way to do it. No, it's not. Because you're running up against four other candidates. So by definition, the person that might have a ton of enthusiasm at 47 48, 49%, can't win. In fact, if I remember correctly, Donald Trump only won a plurality not a majority in some of the states in 2016 and 2020. It's very hard to get a majority of voters. And they say, well, that's just what you have to do. What they're asking for is uni party type candidates. I can get a little bit of Republicans, a little bit of Democrats, and then protect and preserve regime style politics. That's what they want. And so in Alaska, this is a way, and we have them on camera saying this. That this is a way to protect Lisa Murkowski..

McConnell Spends Donor Money on Lisa Murkowski Over Kelly Tshibaka
"Instead of using that money towards the right pickup opportunities in Nevada and I was on and elsewhere He's spending millions in Republican donor money to defeat shabaka to get Lisa Murkowski elected these two Republicans Once a punitive Republican that would be Murkowski she's a fraud Which money can be used elsewhere And now why is he doing that Because she is a McConnell I shall do exactly what McConnell wants That's the bottom line That's all he cares about as himself Quote we request the Senate leadership fund immediately stop attack acts against Kelly shabaka and discontinue all support of senator Murkowski district 9 Republicans demanded And the resolution went on to demand Kentucky GOP leadership censure their senator from meddling in Alaska's party affairs while the minority leader abandons up for capturing the majority While he controls the Kentucky GOP see McConnell's an insider is a sleazy old school closed or insider He's locked up the Republican Party in Kentucky with a few exceptions He's locked up the Republican Party in the Senate Through special interests and money and threats because he's been around forever And he's using shabaka as a is an example to all Republicans who would dare challenge the people he wants

The Charlie Kirk Show
The Best Opportunities for Senate Pick-Ups This November
"It's quite interesting. People ask me, they say, Charlie, where are the best opportunities for Senate pickups? I say, well, it depends how you define a pickup. Because yes, of course, we hope Herschel Walker defeats Raphael Warnock and Blake masters defeats Mark Kelly. We hope Adam laxalt defeats Cortes masto. But what if I told you we have a chance to get an actual Republican and an actual conservative of someone who calls herself a Republican? I'm of course talking about the Alaska Senate race, which technically is not a pickup, but it actually is a very big pickup. Where there is an Alaska Senate race nail biter, Wall Street Journal reports. It's by Kimberly strassel, who I believe actually lives in Alaska so she has an authority on this topic. And it is an amazing candidate who we have endorsed that turning point action who is running a really great race, a grassroots race against Lisa Murkowski, Kelly shabaka, and she joins us in just a second here, but I want to just make one other point before I welcome Kelly, which is many of you are asking, where is all the Republican money going? Answer. It's not necessarily going to Blake masters. It's not necessarily going to Oz, no, no, no, McConnell is spending his money to defeat a grassroots conservative in Alaska to protect Lisa Murkowski.

Stopping McConnell's Midterm Sabotage With Kelly Tshibaka
"Kelly shabaka joins us right now. Welcome to the program. I'm so happy to be with you, Charlie. Thank you so much for having me. I'm joining you from anchorage, Alaska, where it's a balmy 38°. That's a very high temperature, at least for what it's about, what's about to happen there. Kelly, tell us about how your race is going. It looks like, according to Fox News, Trump backed shabaka projected a defeat 20 year incumbent senator Murkowski, but I'm very worried about your rank choice voting ranked choice voting is a very big problem. How's your race going? Tell us about it. Well, it's looking really good. Right after our primary and mid August, there are multiple polls showing as tied 50 50 with Lisa Murkowski and then 5 38 came out just a couple of weeks ago and said, we now have a 53% chance of defeating Lisa Murkowski. I think that that shows the grassroots are definitely mobilized to see a change. That's what I'm hearing across the state. I've traveled more miles and state than it takes to circumnavigate the globe. People realize from Murkowski has moved increasingly left throughout her 21 year career. Project 5 38 says she votes nearly 80% of the time with Joe Biden. That's a lot more with Joe Biden than she ever voted with president Trump. We know up here the last Republican Party has censured her and removed her from membership functionally. She's a Democrat in the state of Alaska, which is all the more perplexing to your point about why Mitch McConnell is investing up to $9 million in a smear ad campaign of lies against me to give you context in her last election. Lisa Murkowski only raised $7 million. So $9 million in Alaska is a huge amount of money. This is probably the closest and least expensive Senate race in the nation, and he's trying to impose on us who are senators going to be.

The Officer Tatum Show
"shabaka" Discussed on The Officer Tatum Show
"This is the officer Tatum show. On the Salem news channel on the Salem podcast network and right here right now. Donald Trump came to Arizona yesterday. I didn't go to the rally because taught at going to the rallies. I love Trump. I can watch it on television. The rally, the rallies are a production. Now, I'll say this. If you haven't been to a Donald Trump rally, you should go to one. Hands down, you need to experience it at least one time in your life. If you been to three of them, you might as well have been to all of them. Because they are long and Donald Trump is like a rapper. He show up late, and he stay late. So if you don't want to tear, don't go that. They just watch an old TV. You're here the same thing. But if you have never been had the energy of all these patriotic conservatives together, I mean, it's something you do not want to miss. You have to at least do it once. So he was in the state. He was in Arizona. I think it mesa, people turned out there. It was an amazing event, like it is always. Just know you're going to stay late. However, I'm saying that to say the leverage in the influence that Trump has in the political climate today is impressive. And it's funny because he has not, he hasn't declared yet if he was going to run for president in 2024. He hasn't officially declared. Now, I know that when you officially declared it has to be some things that you just loopholes you have to go through. So he may be holding on, but I don't think there's a reason why he's campaigning. He's literally campaigning and then he's not going to run. I don't see that being possible unless he campaigned for somebody else. Him and desantis is somebody they got some behind the scenes that we don't know about. But this article that I read today was a indicative of what I'm talking about. It says Trump back candidate expected to defeat 20 year incumbent markowski. Now, it says the incumbent Alaska senator Lisa Murkowski, they say endangers of losing her seat as she held for two decades to a challenger from her own party backed by president Donald Trump. And it's this new concept they have in Alaska that's this very, very interesting. I'm going to read it to you and I can't explain it. I probably need to do a little more research to explain it more vividly. But it's that the Republicans has roughly a 99% chance to win the next month, Alaska Senate election, the Republican challenger Kelly. I don't know how to say our name. Shabaka, I think it's probably shabaka, Kelly C shabaka, considered most likely to emerge with a victory of 53%, which is in its new election. If you get more, it's almost like a runoff. If you get more than 50%, I believe, then you win, even though there could be multiple people in the race. So if nobody gets to 50%, I think then you have to go back to the drawing boards. And this is according to the four election forecasts of 5 38. It says shabaka and if y'all, please correct me if I'm wrong if it's not shabaka. The Trump backed Republican challenger who previously served as the commissioner of the Alaska department of administration is currently locked in on a tight battle with Murkowski after the incumbent senator generated controversy by supporting the impeachment of president Donald Trump. I'll reach this last part because I think it's important. Alaska's 2022 race is uniquely or a unique thanks to the 2020 ballot measure in which voters approve ranked choice voting. So Google ranked choice voting look it up if you want more information about it and this particular state elections that they have voted on. And it says, meaning that both shabaka and Murkowski will appear on about it despite being members of the same party, the two emerged as the top two candidates in the state's nonpartisan blanket primary in August and will face off with Democrat candidate, no name. I don't even need to hear your name. It's irrelevant. And November's general election. But the thing is, is that Murkowski has been an incumbent for over 20 years. You know, it's like how did she lose her seat? It's because no patriotic American wants to even acknowledge somebody is dumb as to vote to impeach Donald Trump. And you know that it was bullcrap. Everybody knows, even kyrsten sinema from Arizona, I don't know if she voted. I don't remember her voting. I think that's why I liked her. But Tulsi Gabbard, I think, voting, no, I don't know, she voted in the middle. No vote or whatever you call it, you vote with no, you didn't pick yes or no. I think that's how I often get the way they vote. But you could vote and not say yes or no. Well, she voted like that. I don't think she voted to not impeach Trump, but she didn't want to get involved. She came on the news, Tulsi Gabbard. She came on the news, and she had made mention that she didn't want to get in this political garbage. The only reason they're impeaching or trying to impeach Donald Trump is for political reasons, not because there's a legitimate impeachment. Not because there's legitimate impeachment. So, you know, I think that I think that Donald Trump, we need pure talk. I think that Donald Trump, he has so much influence. And in no way form or fashion in my shock that he has this much influence. I think it's amazing. I think that Trump should keep fighting a good fight. And people like you and I should support Donald Trump because at the end of the day, man Trump, like Kanye said, he just wanted what's best for America. The news media through all his bull crap in the way and that discouraged people from voting for him, called him a racist and all go crazy stuff. But at the end of the day, he wanted what's best for America. I don't think these other politicians want more bits for America. Joe Biden definitely don't want what's best for America. I mean, these people are puppets. And all they do is they want power and control. They want you to lose your constitutional rights. They want to be more of a socialist communist nation, and they will do all it takes to get there. Why? Because they're already on top. They're not fighting at the bottom of the bear like us. They're at the top. They're the ones tell you what to do. They have legacy wealth because they've been in political office and all of the above. Ladies and gentlemen, gentlemen, ladies, welcome back to the office today to the show. There's so much to talk about. I want to get right into probably my favorite sheriff. In the United States of America, the sheriff from Pope county, Florida. Sheriff Grady Judd, man, God, dang. He is, he just like, senator Kennedy, they just say it like it is, man. And it's like, you know how refreshing it is. For people to just say it like it is with no filter. It's like they got Andrew Tate that people hate. It's like, I may not agree with everything Andrew Tay says. But I love the fact that he ain't afraid to say what he really feel. is PC. What is he really feel? How do you really feel about women? Now, I would say 90% of the stuff I agree with what he's saying about how women act and how women are, you know, the modern woman, not your wife, your wife is perfect, that's why she married you. Or are you single ladies that listen to y'all all perfect? You just ain't found the right man yet. I'm talking about somebody else. That they are falling down by the wayside. Kevin Samuel got risked his soul was the same way that they would just keep it raw and uncut. And so sense of freedom that you feel when somebody just say it like it is. But anyway, I want to let y'all hear what the sheriff Pope county said about people who decide to invade your house, especially the floridians who are struggling with the flood from water damage and flooding from the hurricane. This is what he had to say, roe clip one. People have a right to be safe in their homes. They have a right for their property to be safe, even when part of their home may be torn away. And these looters, that's unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable. I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks into your home, comes into your home while you're there to steal stuff. That you take your gun and you shoot him. You shoot him so that he looks like grated cheese because you know what? That's one looter that won't break into anyone else's home and take advantage of them when they're the most vulnerable and the most weak.

"Kelly shabaka is backed by the state Republican Party. They've excommunicated Lisa Murkowski. And Kentucky's Mitch McConnell is spending money contributed to the Senate leadership fund. Which is millions and millions. Reaching into Alaska to try and destroy the Republican, the conservative, that is backed by the Republicans and conservatives in Alaska. That's McConnell. That's McConnell. One thing for the campaign to attack each other's candidates. That's the unfortunate part of campaigning for office. Setting forth the contrast for voters this year Alaska's new open primary sent two Republican candidates for Senate to the general election ballot. So I'm presidented in Alaska as a result of Lisa Murkowski's allies pushing ballot measure too. So that Murkowski would not have to face a Republican primary. And it's Murkowski, worry, voters again. Alaskans have never seen before such ugliness from the GOP, which appears to be attacking its own candidate. Shabaka, all the way into November. Normally once the August primary is over, the internees and battle stops and Republicans scattered behind their candidate. Not this year. The battle only intensified in the Republican world. Thanks to the Murkowski ballot. Allowing her to scoot past Republican voters and head to the general election without them. They set up this voting system like California did. To promote their own candidates, the Democrats and the Democrat party. Well, Murkowski did the same thing in the Republican Party, basically. In Alaska, and they spent a fortune to get this thing passed, so she didn't have to face the more conservative Republican primary voters. And so now she's running against another Republican in the general election. That's how this works. And over the top comes McConnell, McConnell, when ObamaCare passed, he put an amendment in there. He slipped an amendment in there even though he voted against ObamaCare. He slipped an amendment in there that would increase the contributions to the Senate leadership fund and groups like it could get. From give or take 35 or $32,000 to ten times that amount. The man is sitting on and was. Over a $100 million. To empower himself, and the Republican establishment. In Murkowski, as you know, voted for impeachment, Murkowski is in the back pocket of the teachers unions, she votes with them a 100% of the time. She's the one Republican they love. She and Collins. Murkowski is big time lefty. Big time Washington. Each of these Republican candidates Murkowski and shabaka brings with her a separate sensibility and set of values for how to legislate. On my left hand, we are Murkowski, the elder war horse of Alaska and American politics. Hardened by years of election cycles and heir to the throne given to her by her father, her father, senator, and then governor Frank Murkowski, appointed her to the Senate. Appointed his daughter. "Guys, today is the day of the Alaska primary. I'm delighted to welcome back to the podcast. Kelly shabaka. She is born and raised in Alaska. She is the Trump endorsed candidate for the GOP in the primary and she's also endorsed by the Alaska Republican Party. She lives in anchorage with her husband Nikki and their 5 children Kelly welcome back to the podcast great to have you as always. Alaska has a well, a little bit of a different primary system than the other states. So maybe I can start by asking you to spell out this kind of ranked voter system that is going to be an effect today. It's not so much one party against another. As I understand it, a pool of candidates in a single pool talk about that and how it's different than everybody else. It's great to be with you and thanks for having me. The fact is this is our first time going through this system. Project veritas just recently exposed that it was Lisa Murkowski colluding with her campaign staff to deceive alaskans and put it on the ballot in 2020 in order to manipulate our election system so that she would have some kind of a chance of maintaining the 41 year markowski monarchy that we've had in place in Alaska. And this is the only way she could do it. Otherwise she would never survive a regular party primary.

Dinesh Examines Fate of Liz Cheney on Day of Wyoming Primary
"Today is a big day with two important primaries. There is the Wyoming primary, which I'm going to talk about now, and then also the Alaska primary, which I'm going to be talking about later with Kelly shabaka. Now, Liz Cheney is not going to have a good day. I think it's fair to say she is going to not just be defeated, but kind of walloped trashed, humiliated. By let's remember someone who kind of came out of nowhere. I mean, who heard of Harriet hagman? When I had Harriet anchorman on the podcast, she seemed, well, she seemed very green, very new to politics. And kind of finding her way. And I have to say that Harriet hagerman has turned out to be a pretty formidable candidate. And by that, I mean she has zoomed in on certain key themes. I don't know if you've seen her or ad, what she talks about, you know, we're fed up, we're fed up with inflation, we're fed up with what happened in Afghanistan and it has the climactic statement and we're fed up with Liz Cheney and then she just like walks off the stage. And so one of the themes of Harriet hagerman has been that. To associate herself with the maga agenda and to make a blistering critique of Biden. And she's done that. The other is to emphasize that she hagerman is a real creature of Wyoming. And Liz Cheney is, well, I think at one point she even calls her the virginian because she has a home in Virginia. So the idea here is that Liz Cheney is part of the swamp. And so as I say, hagerman has run a good campaign, and I think this explains not just her lead. She probably would have a lead anyway, but the magnitude of her lead.

Dinesh Examines the Ongoing Feud Between Trump and Musk
"There is a public skirmish going on between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Which I think is unnecessary and in fact kind of pointless for both sides. But let me describe it first and then comment on it. So this got started when Trump was in Alaska. This was a rally that Trump did for Sarah Palin. But also for Kelly shabaka, who's been on the podcast running against Lisa Murkowski. And Trump began to talk about left wing censorship. And then he goes, quote, Elon is not going to buy Twitter, he goes, where did you hear that before from me? So this is actually Trump being correct. Trump actually predicted that that Musk would give up on the Twitter deal and pull out. And in fact, when Trump said that, no one really else was saying that. Most of us thought, well, Musk is going to want this platform, and even if he ends up overpaying for it, what's it to Musk? I mean, when you have $250 billion and you spend 44, yeah, it's a sizable chunk, but on the other hand, you get to have fun on Twitter, you are the boss. And so this is not I didn't think and others didn't think that Musk would sort of nickel and I am this. But Trump was right. So now, Trump comes back on to say, well, he might later. He's got a pretty rotten contract, not a good contract. So Trump evidently thinks that Musk is over a ping. For Twitter, but then Trump goes on to say he's actually talking about Musk's statement that he first voted. His first Republican vote. Said Musk was from Myra Flores. Another one of our pals, who's been on the show, but Trump then kind of marks Elon Musk and he goes, you know, he said the other day, oh, I've never voted for a Republican. And then Trump says, he told me he voted for me. So evidently, Musk met with Trump for earlier. And apparently Trump says that he told Trump, I voted for you, so that's the case, obviously Musk has voted for a Republican before, and then Trump this, I think, is the unnecessary part, calls Musk a quote BS artist.

Today at four on 90.1 w A. B. C D. It's bull's eye. I'm Jesse Thorn. It's not that Shabaka Hutchings is eclectic. I mean, yes, the saxophonist and composer blends jazz, calypso dancehall hip hop African folk music Afrobeat. But that alone isn't what makes him so great. Shabaka was born in the U. K. Raised mostly in Barbados. He studied classical music in college, not jazz. And that's interesting. But again, it's not the reason you should listen to his music. You should listen to the music of Shabaka Hutchings because he makes brilliant, beautiful songs. His music is vivid, complex and hypnotic. He's the leader of the band Shabaka and the ancestors and Sons of Cam. And then she Baka himself goes into a sax solo is absolutely breathtaking Sons of Cam, it have a brand new album. It just came out. It's called Black to the future. I'm so excited to have Shabaka Hutchings on the show. Let's hear a song off the new record. This is to never forget the source. Chewbacca. Hutchings. Welcome to bulls.
