"Now there's a lot of running back in this league but he is the first done and he's honestly the best twenty back in my opinion just because his ability to will his team single handedly to coming back from seattle down fourteen to fifteen points and coming back and winning over time and just his stat line was just ridiculous and when you can go into century leak field when you can go into seattle and silence the twelve as a forty nine fan me. Personally i'm going to give you stuttered status of the week. My number one son derrick henry just because his performance just just look at the stat line. I know i said this before him. Glennon ogling over the stat line. But you don't see this stat line many times and often in the nfl right now. Everybody doesn't want to get their running backs injured. But you know what this stat line is just crazy this man just single handedly brought back the tennessee titans from the bring death from the bringing death and from the of being owen to to winning on the road against a tough seattle environment against good seattle team just look at the stat line. Thirty five carries thirty five carries. When's the last time you see somebody other than derrick. Henry rushed the ball thirty five times. A hundred and eighty two yards a five point two yard average three touchdowns three with a sixty yard long. And he's like oh well he's only a one dimensional back. Nope he can do it. All he can catch on the backfield he can. Do it like christian mccaffrey he can do it. Like dalvand cook. He can catch like alvin. Kamara six catches six targets. Fifty five yards almost a first down average point two with a long of fifteen. And you know what. That's the first out of the week. The first out of the week goes to derrick henry just because his mvp just because his historic performance against a good seattle team on the road. And you know what he was truly the benefactor and he was surely the x factor in that game. Now you look at the total yards. Tennessee had five hundred thirty two total yards seattle. Three hundred ninety seven. Now look at the passing yards. Both even at three hundred twenty but the story of that game was the ability. That tennessee was able to rush the ball. Compared to the lack of rushing in seattle. Everybody wants say. Let let russ cook right. Okay well if you let us cook you're going to get this stat line rushing eighteen attempts seventy seven yards. You look over on the other side. Forty attempts forty two hundred twelve yards almost a hundred and seventy yard difference on the ground that honestly that is school football ground and pound at its finest and week. One stud goes to derrick henry for that. Mvp ish type performance on the ground in week. Two i out of the week. Derrick henry all right going on to the next of the week. The next week in my opinion has to be tom. Brady does like fine wine. Just like a fine wine. Tom brady and you know what. I'm gonna throw rob gronkowski there to they get better with age. They get better with age and they just keep on producing doesn't matter for planning new england doesn't matter were planning to tampa bay. We're going to do what we do. That throw touchdown passes. And that's pick apart defense's and that's dominate the other opposing offense and opposing team in general. 'cause wow this guy. These guys looked better right now. They did five ten years ago. It's crazy how that sounds but tom brady. Looked better right now at forty two at forty forty-three at forty four than he did when he looked twenty three twenty four even at thirty four honestly right. Now he's he's probably performing better than his prime. He's not in prime anymore. He's in his forties. He's almost mid forties. I think it's forty four but it was. It's honestly so amazing to see these to do it for so long and just the production level that these guys are putting up weekend week out year in year out it just honestly. It's it's spectacular. Watch it really is so my second stud of the week for week. Two of the nfl. Tom brady and rob gronkowski. Keep doing it like a fine line. They'd just get better with age..

All right is third and to jackson under center. Get it every time he took over. Just get so much joy out of it. It's great to to listen to. Oh i hope. I'll gets a chance to call more games because it feels like this is his last season calling and then might torika will take over for al michaels. I don't know if that's official. There's a a player on an interception. He just started running backwards. There's no defensive player even near him. And he just got called for taunting that was the buccaneers. Yeah back who had two interceptions in a span of four minutes. Yeah he is turned around toward the defense. But there's nobody to pick sixes and span of has that ever happened in. Nfl history in the span of four minutes to pick sixes for the same guy. See if we can get some of our best people on that already best and worst of the weekend poll question update the poll results polling. Here we go most likely owen to team to make the playoffs. The colts fifty three percent. The vikings forty four percent and the jaguars. Giants and falcons are getting almost nothing. I was looking ahead to next weekend's games. I know you have the lines. The packers tonight. I'm not dismissing that. But you got tampa bay at the rams. You got the chargers at kansas city. You got green bay at san francisco philly dallas and cincinnati at pittsburgh tampa. Rams is awesome chargers. Kansas city should be tasty green bay san francisco philly dallas and then cincinnati pittsburgh. One of those where. Joe borough goes wait. The raiders beat pittsburgh but are the odds of me being able to go in there and beat them. The next week with the defense was banged up. That certainly helped but dare car had a great game philly in dallas. That feels like a thanksgiving day game right or are they playing on thanksgiving again this year. But then that would be playing in philadelphia. So that doesn't happen green bay at san francisco. We're gonna find out an awful lot about green bay. It feels like you're probably not going to find that up tonight. But you'll find that at san francisco chargers in kansas city. He was good. Justin herbert was good against kansas city last year but Tampa at the rams. That'll be on fox next sunday afternoon. That'll be three of the bucks. I four games against you know big time opponents dallas new england now the rams they of course roughed up at atlanta yesterday but Aaron donald jalen ramsey. They face. "You something this guy i thought he was. Okay and fantasy this guy you know. He was like he was a first rebus. Was we first pick last year. I mean he's definitely a guy that at this point should be on your bench. I mean this guy has done nothing okay. And he had that costly fumble at the end only at about two points. Yeah he was awful in this game. Awful awful in this game A guy that should be on your bench from now on because he is nothing. Anyone don't be surprised. Dr williams had a rushing touchdown. We saw mckinnon catch catcher. Pass in this game. Don't be surprised if edwards solaire sees himself out of the starring role because he is not been good and then we go to the receiving stats. Kelsey one hundred nine yards. And a touchdown i mean. There's no surprise there. Pringle had sixty three yards and a touchdown. Hardman five fifty. Five marcus robinson Touchdown in this game is well. Yeah the chiefs offensively regret. Defensively really was their problem and really thought it was going to be row. Because lamar jackson on the first possession Because the ravens got the ball start the game. He threw a pick six. And you thought well here we go again with the ravens and the chiefs but lamar done played pretty well after that Eighteen to twenty six two hundred thirty nine yards one touchdown to interceptions yet. The two picks were bad. They were bad. Obviously it talked about the first one. The other one was you know. He's just it up for grabs in the red zone and it just costed him but he had a hundred seven yards on the ground to rushing touchdowns and this is what makes lamar very valuable and fantasy is running ability because he is amazing on the ground. He has and the two rushing touchdowns huge and yet tyra tyson williams. Seventy seven yards rushing latavius. Murray thirty six with a touchdown they freeman. Had that big thirty one yard run early. On in the game he also twenty nine yards rushing anarchist brown six hundred thirteen yards and a touchdown pretty good in the game. Mark andrews five for fifty seven. Sammy watkins for forty four. Yeah i mean the ravens. They played well in this game. Offensively after the two picks in oh l'amour played really well. The chiefs defense just is not good and i had a feeling the cheese. We're gonna put up a lot of points thing. A lot of people did and they didn't disappoint the chiefs lost his game. Because you know the defense was bad homes through that bad. Pick and then. Edward solaire fumbled cheese for messing around towards the end. They thought we're gonna win. this game. butger is gonna hit game winning field goal. And we're going to be out of here. No that's not what happened. So what happened. Edward solaire fumbled the ball. And then the reasons going forward on fourth and one on their own. I don't remember what it was. They were in their own territory. There was like their forty and the more gets it and they won the game and good for them. Lamar was really good. Fantasy got was give me really nervous because he did get off to that really bad start but yeah i mean. This game was amazing this game. This game is probably the game of the year. honestly these two teams were fantastic. Pensively and lamar showed you something. He finally beat the chiefs. That was his kryptonite. Finally beats the chiefs in a shootout and i mean really i mean looking at the performance renew mahomes is gonna do. Well did amazing outside of that one. Pick kelsey was fantastic. The one surprise was tyreek. Hill three receptions for fourteen yards. I mean the ravens heldman. Check gotta give him props for that but yet if you started any of these defenses this week for some reason i mean. I don't know what you're doing. But yeah i mean this was This was a shootout is a great game. And yeah i mean the chiefs now. Next week they go against the chargers. So that's not going to be an easy game. And then the ravens against the lions so depending on how they do against the packers. I mean i think the ravens probably the game but just still something to keep an eye on though. But yeah lamar. He finally got that monkey off his back and ravens. A big win so yeah. Those are the four o'clock games and the sunday night game. Recaps in the top fantasy performers. And all that stuff so that we are going to take another quick break when we come back. We'll talk about my fantasy teams. How they are doing where they currently are ad. You know players that. I have some concerns about. I touched upon a little bit in both of these recap segments but i will go into more detail with that in the third segment so stick around. We'll be right back here on the gs mc fantasy football podcast tired of searching.

"Not only did they say it wasn't touched on. Actually overturn the call on the field. See we're thought the call would have stood but Anyway would rather have cortlandt sutton or the big dud devante smith from today anyway so. I'm not sure if i'm ready to run away from devante smith. Well you don't have to court better. Just think so. I'm not going to be what it was i. I don't think it's going be this. Every week he played jacksonville. That's what he was before his injury. That was better than what we thought. Smith was before the season right so when we were drafting. Suddenly one of the worries that we had was that. Well he's not gonna get every single target because judy's there and judy we figured would be better and today. He just really stepped up. We know judy will eventually come back but fans. So what's it gonna be has had touchdowns sudden savante. Smith can be better season. So is that sounds how. 'bout heats winners rondell more. He's only forty four percent. Roster he special seventy seven yard touchdown catch and yet eight targets. Do you think that you think he's going to be reliable. I don't know if he's going to be reliable early in the year. I kind of think by the end of the year. There won't be much choice left. Like they're just going to realize we need to get their acting like an already. I mean it's pretty rare for a team to be manufacturing touches for guy like him this early in the season anyway. So i don't know i think he'll be reliable number three wide receiver or as reliable as number three wide. Receivers are and listen. If he's forty four percent roster he needs to be one of the top guys in the waiver. Wire hold on hold on The reason why he's getting the work is because of what he did. On the seventy seven yard touchdown against minnesota and we to. He's currently leading the cardinals in targets catches and yards and two weeks. He's got more than hopkins in all three of those categories. So i think he's absolutely somebody who could be here to stay for a while five targets and four catches and we wanted it was ten. Pbr points in week one. He absolutely has to be rostered. Npr leagues and definitely a good bench. Guy in.

"I think college football fans as a whole. They don't emotionally invest themselves. And what happened but you care about that result because it was so blatantly wrong. I mean again like not to give credit to to mincy or to dave or whatever more than like the whole panel of us that were there all said the exact same thing. There was nobody that even tried to argue so as a college football fan. You see if there's somebody out there that can try to argue that. That was the one of the worst calls they've ever seen. I would love to hear it. I love to hear the reasoning of how a guy on his knee with a hand on his. I was gonna say on his ball but that would have been on. The ball is not downing. pont how i mean. You cannot make an argument so no they might not emotionally care but you should care as a football fan that it was just an astronomically incorrect thing to do all right there it is. That was my speech about that. Also we credit to you for not absolutely exploding when you're a state fan. You don't really get surprised when you get fucked like i understand. We're not a have in the college football world so when this happens to us it's not gonna make a dent. Nobody's actually gonna care it. Just fucking sucks to reminded you stand in the pecking order of things. Because i swear to. I swear to you. Tennessee goes to memphis. That doesn't happen. Lsu goes memphis. that doesn't happen. It doesn't happen. Maybe it happens the vanderbilt. Maybe ole miss. It ain't happening to anybody else in the sec. Whatever it's fine Do i owe emory jones. Do we all jones and apology. Because i said it earlier word well enough to win. I said it earlier than the first quarter. We were all mocking dan. Mullen coming into the second quarter. Like what the hell is this guy doing. The quarterback whisper and emory jones played very. Well played well enough to win the game like you said and not only that again that two point conversion was terrible everything else leading up to it was aiming we did not expect it. I mean he put go ahead. Yeah i guess. Superb is i was gonna say but he played superbly. You'll know i agree. I at first. I guess i'm still in the mode that it's like. Oh he's anthony. Richardson should have played. But i'm looking at emory john's right now. Eighteen for twenty eight hundred ninety five yards. Qbr seventy six which is very good price. Young was eighty-nine but that's price young and emory jones. Also has seventy seven yards rushing touchdown You know that's good enough. You're the defense of florida. Looked really good. Kept them in that game. But emory jones played well enough to win. If i'm i'm a florida fan. I feel really good today. Not about that game. Although certainly feel better about the season than you may be felt about coming in. I just feel good for the future. Because i know that emmerick anthony restaurants is gonna take over that spot. And he's going to be better than emory jones. I think but ultimately dan mullins got that team in that program. They're tough like they fell down. Twenty one three two alabama teams. Don't get up from twenty one three alabama. They don't they. Don't get off the mat when that happened last time that alabama loss in eighteen point lead was cam newton in twenty ten so eleven years ago and one of with one of the greatest cost absolute. Yeah that's a unicorn that's exactly. That's we were talking about how we all remember that game. And how crazy but to know that alabama has just buried teams for the last eleven years without anybody. Even i mean. Eighteen points is not that many points. It's not like they're coming back from thirty but still eighteen. Points can be a lot if you give up. Florida did not give up there. I think dan mullen is is turning the corner there from from building a team that can look like a contender to actually building a contender. So i think that would make sense so the answer i think is we owe emory jones. An apology for how much shit we talked about him. Immer jones played that whole game. They would get destroyed. Yes and i so there. We go him an apology. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that. He's like one of the best quarterbacks in the country quite yet again. no no no. But i'm saying like i like i'm not gonna completely switch my my take on emory jones but we all were mocking him and hit a couple of the plays very early so yes. I will apologize emma jones. I'm sorry isn't that nice. Are you gonna say i'm sorry. I'm the one that broach the one that brought it up. Say say no she apologize. Take casey is our our minister of apologies. Here on the show we do. We should talk about some of the questionable play calls. The auburn penn state. That fayed was disgusting. If you're if you're auburn your down. Twenty eight twenty. It's it's about three minutes left. Maybe yeah about three minutes. One time out left there at the two yard line fourth and goal. You've got one of the best running backs in the country and tanks bixby you've got You got a quarterback who might be able to make the play. But he's athletic and what they chose to do was fade the on of the end zone. That just didn't get within twenty yards of succeeding a bone expert ball out of bounds. Be the the receiver. He had no desire or knowledge of how to get there and it was just completely fucked from beginning house that i well. I don't know how many people have said this but the goal line fade fascinates me. You don't do it. You don't do a fade anywhere else on the field like that. A short a short distance. But you don't ever if it's like four thousand one from the thirty nine nobody does a fade. Nobody ever says oh the one and then fade but we get near the end zone and we're like oh here's what would work. What if our quarterback got the ball and immediately threw it high in the air and he threw it to a space on the field. That only has about a foot and a half two feet of operating room and we throw it to a receiver and he's probably gonna have Somebody all over. Let's do that. Yeah that seems like a good idea. A good idea and it's worked out. There's forty seven yards of field to work with sideline to sideline. We don't need it. We want we. Won't that corner on the two yard line to it wasn't like they were backed up a little bit to where they needed to create some space. Just run the fucking bolan. Where are they vulnerable. Oh how about that corner way over there. How corner was we have. Drop it in a bucket and bonex can't drop anything in any bucket. No i thought it was a terrible blake. Oh and i don't know who was it you that tweeted at jack. Somebody tweeted it. It was like somebody gets paid seven figures a year to make that play call tweeted that from the the main account just says with nothing in it and what somebody does and also i was really disappointed in the play call from dan mullen on the two point conversion. It's been mentioned. But i feel like you could have Again call the better. Maybe it was emory. Johnston didn't run it properly. And that's not to get on them but it didn't look like even if he keeps there. Yeah obama's ready for that like also if felt like they were really just converting on all cylinders at that point and just a quick read option up the middle..

"Game than i. He couldn't block. he couldn't block me. Get some point. You've got to help the player outright and if the player camp block you gotta help them out. I think the ravens from a tactical standpoint really made a huge mistake. They kicked the winning field goal. They took the clock all the way down as far as they could. They didn't get first down and they kick the field goal. This thirty six seconds left to go. Now the raiders had two kickoff returns in the game for thirty three yards total. So you have to kick that ball inbounds. You've got a high kick it you gotta kick it in bounced and you gotta make them return. You gotta make them return it. That's a play so now if you could pin them in the inside the twenty or even if they get the ball to twenty three or twenty eight who cares. There's twenty nine seconds. Maybe thirty seconds on the clock. Just let things slip away. They let the ball go through and now they have the ball to twenty five and they got a chance. And i just think to me you know. I think the ravens got exhausted. I think the heat the humidity the whole essence of the game. They got tired. Let the raiders defense. I think when they play against a good passing game. They're gonna have a lot of troubles because they're going to be able to protect against them. And then i think you've to be able to throw that that that ravens passing game to me still needs a lot of work a quick. Follow up about the kickoff thing with time. That is a brilliant thought in brilliant. Take because you are wasting o'clock way and if it's six seconds probably down to thirty or whatever the only thing is one if they housecall that you're an idiot is that everybody's saying right but i mean look. They had two other returns and for two other returns. They combined for thirty three yards and ravens have a great special teams. I mean the ravens guys. We're going to cover this kick. We're gonna pin their ass back. They're not gonna come out. We're gonna win the game right here. I mean if. I give you the ball to twenty-five and you've got thirty six seconds right if i were doing the tv game. I would say okay. We're six plays guys we got six plays. We've got the fed thirty six six thirty. Last time i checked six thirty six was six right so he got six plays all right. Two of them are going to be spike. So we're going to have to defend for place here. So how are we going to do it. If i can cut down apply. That clock is meaningless. All that clock tells me is how many places left in the game. Okay so in. By the way they got for the raiders they got to massive legs kicking for them not to tucker tucker rowbottom machine daniel carlson though. It's at fifty five yarder to put that thing in if they back that thing up there inside the fifteen on the kickoff. That's a different game. I mean granted. The routes will be run different. Everything like that. But he's got a massive light you make him after hit from sixty though. That's a much different mental game. I think he's still makes it but there's a lot of that little shit that happens early in the season you help get cleaned up late. But i'm impressed by the raiders squad. Finish off hey. This guy was bullied into making a bet last night. Yeah i know you're not gonna love this that. He knows he had to do it last year. He didn't love making picks on mondays. Or thursday all the time he gets this upcoming weekend. Bengals bears rams colds broncos. Jags vikings cards tightened seahawks chief ravens. These are all matchups of teams that look good versus teams. That did not look good. How do we go about a mindset looking at week two as far as looking at some of these games wear one of the teams did not look good versus one of them. Did i think you have to really watch the tape. I think he can watch the watch. The atlanta philly tape. Everybody's going to say atlanta was terrible. They were bad. Atlanta's drives the ball to the opening. Kick off down the field. They stumble in the red zone next drive. They get too many penalties and then they fall apart in the second half. They really did. It was a seven six game. That kinda got away from the penalties mistakes. They weren't as bad as that score right. So you've got a balance that like cincinnati wins the game mitchell borough. I'm watching the tape right now. Joe berga had a fight for his life. I mean he was getting running sack. Like you gotta take the games in divorce yourself from score and say okay. Here's what really happened like the washington football team. Everybody says you know dirk great on defense pact. They're great on defense. Started most incredible defensive front. We've ever seen it football. They gave up seventy three percent of the third downs on sunday. Gave up. four hundred. Seventy seven yards. I mean how are you a great defense. When seventy three percent of the third downs get converted. Why are you a great defense when you know you give up. Four hundred seventy arts. You can't use those words while they're getting their fans are getting poop. Poop water rain it on them in the stadium so maybe that rained on average about eight speaking of the chargers in washington game. How about that five minute. Drive at the end beautiful. I mean four minute offense there to take care of that game i mean. What's the chargers able to do is whatever they wanna do. That team looked unbelievable. I thought it really did wash it to look like they were in great shape..

"Thank you feel no big surprise. That patrick mahomes tops. The projections for top benefit quarterbacks to season. He's bald by josh. Allen and tyler murray both of whom asset protection with their legs obviously fourth dak prescott coming back from that gruesome ankle injury. Lamar jackson completes the top five. Stephen a smith host the top five quarterback that you think could potentially take a step back this season. Me personally think is prescott regular football in fantasy football. I think he step take a step back. If you compare it into the other in the top column marie when you think about lamar when you think about patrick. Mahomes and these boys josh allen You're gonna see dudes capable of making plays with both their arms and their legs are definitely going to throw the football a lot. We'll see what happens. In the case a dak prescott us tonight expect precipitous. Drop off in terms of you know what he can do offensively and throwing the football because requisite weapons that he has available to you. I just think. Even though he rushed right there was two hundred seventy seven yards not last season when he only played five games but the season before that then the two seasons crowded and he ran for three zero five and three fifty seven in the end..

"Going back as as we take the stouter trip here from the first. Preseason you mentioned. Jared jared patterson right. That's his name intern. Popular yes There's a lot of interest in him because he what he did at buffalo was amazing. I mean didn't he have over five hundred yards rushing and one game ridiculous amounts of jerry patterson no he didn't have over five hundred yards rushing in one third amount. Yeah okay. I liked him dab. Look it up. i'm gonna have my staff. Look it up. He's from his from here. He played at pilates right. Yeah right I remember in ninety two. There was an undrafted free agent at william and mary. They robert greene running back. Yeah remember him. Yup i do and the reason. They drafted him because gifts knew him. Because that's where it gives son plays football. He was his teammate. At william and mary And i've ever watched robert greene in season and thinking. Wow i mean he was built like the same way as jerry. Patterson short very combat you know and i thought man this guy is going to make it in the nfl. This guy every time he touches the ball. He makes something happen. He was electric and he lasted one season with washington As a backup didn't see much action then lasted about three or four years with the bears But was always a backup. Never got into. The game sat much but again i thought after watching him in ninety two a pre season i thought this guy was a cadmus star so for all the excitement about jared patterson Let's let's he out perspective here. Well i was actually going to move towards that subject about sort of preseason heroes. This franchise has had a ton of. I'm sure other franchises have had the same but just to To follow up my research staff Just handed me this He had four hundred and nine yards in a game. On thirty six carries last november Against kent state in a seventy two forty one win. He tied the fbi. Single-game record with eight rushing touchdowns in that game But fell Eighteen yards short of the all-time f. b. s. single-game rushing mark held by samah j. p. ryan who who set that record with oklahoma before being drafted by washington. I think you know patterson has is the easy choice to be the guy that ends up being the preseason hero that nobody wants released but lendup getting cut and being signed back to the practice squad. I dunno maybe not. Maybe not i mean. I liked him a lot. You know at buffalo and you can see a lot of the things that That i'm sure you know the coaches of seen as well and he'll get plenty of opportunities like tonight. I'd be surprised. If jared patterson in the second half with stephen montanez quarterback kyle lounge not gonna play. I'd be surprised if a guy. Like jared patterson to tonight doesn't have you know six to eight carries minimum. You know in the second half and they'll get him a lot of carries. They don't need to see gibson. They don't need to see mckissick Give jarrett patterson. I'm sure none of opportunities. Unless tommy unless they are absolutely convinced that they want him but they don't know if he's going to make the final roster and they don't want to expose him to some sort of eight carry seventy seven yard performance. Where if they do cut him. He gets picked up immediately. games played as well This time of year but No one will ever be anybody else out there who i've read.

"Year. Twenty one touchdowns you have. Just come to you like soon. You walk on the field. Here's a test down for you. You get it tested. That's you and oprah you'll get gonna tested that's your free can't earn does only ten interceptions. You never highlight that. You never talk about that turnovers to glad to that. The point being cam newton more than they expected what they gave him which was the depleted roster in terms of personnel and in terms of assets to the tune of why. Tom brady left at the twenty years cam. Newton one's gonna be just fine fake action no death at the other reason. I genuinely think you should have faith. And cam newton. What other option do you have. And i don't mean literally in mack jones but you put a player on the football field because you believe that player completely get ax gave him newton roughly thirteen or fourteen million dollars because you believe he can play the game of football so how dare you undermine cam. Newton like the forty niners are actually doing with jimmy right not having made them individual. I'm in my lap in my take like this so i believe that a lot of ninety five percent of players in the nfl our nfl talented. Right there's five percent that you kind of like how may get into the league but ninety five percent are. nfl talented. What separates one from the other. Is their confidence in your straight up and down with individual from the communist. Give you the story. i'll give it an tedtalk one day. But i give it to. Y'all right now tedtalk talk. Two thousand and thirteen was my first year in philly. I think it was thirteen. Odell beckham comes into the league either. Thirteen or fourteen. I don't remember. I'm playing phillies. Plan on the giants. We played odell beckham. I wanna say week eight and by week. Eight odell beckham had two catches for thirteen yards. We played odell beckham again week. Seventeen the last game of the season. He had thirteen catches one hundred. Seventy seven yards and two touchdowns. Nothing taint soon. Be manning's tournament ball. Same offense coordinator same offensive line. Same head coach. What was the difference between eight and seventeen. Odell beckham made the catch Three finger cats throw becca. Made the catch. He became a different individual because he had faith in himself. And the giants had faith in him. Cam newton if you do have that kind of faith. You won't see that same cam newton. We used to coming up tom. Brady and peyton manning. Legendary rivalry will tell you our favorite rivalry you of all time nets. Beat tom brady and peyton. Manning had one of the biggest rivalries in sports history of reports say brady will attend manning's hall of fame induction ceremony this weekend. Brady had an eleven six record against a hall of famer so this got us thinking about other. Classic rivalries between athletes. So what is your favorite. All time playoff. I play a rivalry k. I i'm gonna go with extremely high hanging fruit highest of hanging fruit. And you remember you remember. You would've played against him. Aaron brooks saints saints corner. Saints quarterback quarterback quarterback brooks okay. Yes from two thousand one to two thousand him which we're talking about him. Because he was cousins with mike vick when my vittles starting quarterback okay falcons versus saints. They were going up cousin bursts cousin. I love that because two thousand and one. That's when i fall in love with the game based on the game of hide versus high hanging fruit. that's the highest highest thing a. Nobody thinks off like low hanging fruit. Say peyton birth. Tom brady high hanging. He does really bring up. Now let me. Just go some moderately hanging fruit. Now grits my very quickly ali-frazier. Ali frazier is my favorite rivalry. Remember they had a three peat. They had the the rumble that they had. A manila was the very last one. They had the fight of the century. Which was the first one and then they had the super fight. Which was the second one ends up. Ali winning two one. But i remember it goes fifteen rounds. the only time anyone ever got knocked down was the first fight. I believe it was frazier knocks down. Ali around fifteen takes a first one. I'll lead takes a second rally. Takes a third one thrill in. Manila was seen by one billion people like a michael jackson concert. One billion people. Globally we watch the super bowl. And oh my god. Twenty seven million fifty million one billion people with a botched. This rivalry amazing. That's my favorite one one. It's gotta go study wikipedia. You guys so people you wanted to wanted to billion oh doing it. Hit me for get out the tree. First of all forget the fruit. You treat them a high hanging hanging moderate hanging. Let's talk real some. That made you jump off the couch. Say rope i want to do that were you. Did i didn't want to do that. Okay i gotta run. A runner-up young tony. Boselli remember him see. This is my hot hanger. Fruit for you. And bruce smith if y'all know what i'm talking about go youtube. I was behind. Bruce smith and i was. I do not want to play this game. Play that guy. But then there was one that i used to watch our saw. The kitchen uh saw resistance saw the we lost all her toughness. Michael strahan versus john raw. Yeah what to see something hard. What stray hand hall of famer and run. You lose your right off the eagles and adversity. But he do. who's obese. I played it. Gives him a few times. These are so long as got him a couple of times. I hear this robbery. Used to just sit there and say this is. I'll play the position. This is at the highest form. This is the von graham. Couldn't like i'll sit there like this is how you play football at these positions. It was amazing to watch. Do we have any traditional as once. Normal ones whatever. Go back to wikipedia with the cowboys. Steelers excited would be excited to speak for yourself is next. What else will pay bruce. I on the facially footfall than baby. The cowboys and the nfl preseason started tonight. The hall of fame game on fox both teams have a lot to prove after last season. And it all starts. And i tell you about football football or you know what i get high. Let me stop. Football's back ru football is back. And then i can't wait. Oh look forward to this game but cowboys brooklyn near walk. Wellesley browsing cheese going down. That's it we'll see about..

"He went on for another minute. Incredible like two minutes soliloquy. I think turner should clip that and send it out on their their social media accounts. I would re tweet it because the last match because he played thirty six the day before he played eighteen the morning of the man who's doing he's doing sprints in the parking lot and like what are you doing so i don't want to suck out here. Incredible and then the fifth aspect. I was hoping to get out of the match. We got it in. Absolute droves was montana and big sky country. How beautiful did that course look. I was looking up like cabins and places to stay. I mean how incredible and jack like looking at like this large mountainous regions zone. Okay let's put a seven hundred by the way. The card that i pulled out talking about yesterday was the seventeenth hole but they might have flipped the front and the back. I don't know because the eighth hole was that super long super long when they might have flipped it because they didn't they wanted to play that super long when they didn't want to run the risk of seventeen being played which by the way it was not last night. So that seven hundred seventy seven yard. I mean the number of holes that you could just hit downhill and make you feel like you are the king or queen of the absolute world. And i'm going to hit it. Forever and aaron rodgers did hit one four hundred yards. And that's you know a brady put it on the green on that three ninety par-four which was downhill. He was that was incredible. And i was on that whole with standing out at the five hundred yard. Marker i thinking that maybe shambo what's going to put it into orbit. That course was gorgeous. The state was gorgeous. The sky looked different. The mountains the bears the mountain goats. The all my goodness gracious the bears on the golden bear designed golf course. My buddies florida talking about a summer trip next year to go play powerful. It's amazing excellent choice all around and then one last thing that we were thinking of putting in there and i swapped it out for putting in the big sky. Because i was looking for. I just knew phil was going to deliver the goods phil. Mickelson is phenomenal. Phenomenal phenomenal like the minute. He wants to stop golfing and get into the booth. He's got it just name it. he's in and he just strikes me as the greatest playing partner offer. Great hang you just wanna you wanna be because you wanna hang with him because not only is he gonna make the shots. He's going to help you make the shots he's calling you partner. he's bucking you like. He even needs to email. You knew at times like tom brady needed his booth. Confidence boost like this. What we're gonna do. It goes right and goes left. It's a fun we're gonna go right through the funnel. We're going to do that. Like he's telling about on the t. Before they go down all these amazing. And then i couldn't tell if phil was being serious or getting in your head which is another great aspect of applying park. When you're trying to beat somebody else. I don't know if he was legitimately trying to solicit pot bryson dish. Shambo is process information or it was a full troll job a couple times he would just tell the price and why are you. Talk us through it. Tell us what you think. And i thought to myself. He's just trying to get him going. Just to try needle him. Or he's like you know we need this for the broadcast. Could be that too. I couldn't tell it fills that see martin probably. Yeah probably i bet all of the above it strikes me as all saw all over bryson plane. Slow oliver bryson about. Tell us what you think here. And i couldn't tell you serious or not. And then after he's all over brazil. Tell us what you think. He's he hits that one on the par threes. Here's what i'm going to do. And he walks through any talks as the balls landing gonna come back to the hall is going to let nestle right in two and a half feet from the hall a couple of times but rogers was great him and rogers going back and forth with each other was terrific including the very end. You know talk about you. Know calloway's assize a church bells there to now okay. They're about to be closed out. Brady needs to make this long. Putt and phil says to brady. You know we're going to go forward. It's like it's like it's fourth in three or down eight. We're going to go forward here. We're not gonna we're not gonna kick a field goal. He says that. Rogers as rodgers playing his head off and they're losing. And i thought to myself rogers has got to come back and say to shambles. He's over the puck. You know what. I'm going to go forward here and You know even if i hit it past the whole i'm a run up and hit while it's moving and stop it in reference to what filled it in the us open in the pacific northwest a few years ago but he didn't he was chill. Which makes me think roger's really successfully worked on his chee and that's even inspired me. Oh to work on mine. No way yes okay like. I just saw the way he played..

"On on on the practice range like a total lunatic and he swings from his heels and you do see him in post-match conversations. Whatever but we've never really spent an afternoon or an evening with the guy he's miked up. We're going to see a wicked smith sense of humor. Does he have. No sense of humor. Is he. You know i. I'd love to hear him talk about golfing. Maybe give wires. i mean. The way transformed his body and he's you know he's always known to be thinking out there in the course i wanna see that in action and also there is a long drive competition and won holes just like any tournament that you plan like a scramble. Correct that there's a one whole that's the prize. I guess for the longest drive. Are you aware that the seventeenth hole at the reserve at moonlight basin in montana. Where this is going on tonight are you or the seventeenth hole is seven hundred seventy seven yards long. It's a par. Five seven hundred seventy seven yards. It seems like that's the longest drive home tonight. The the yardage for the from the tips for if you look at the scorecard online is eight thousand yards. No and that's part of the reason. Why phil said that they chose. This is because in the big sky thin mountain air it trash shambo may not know how like he may. He may under club himself or over-clubbed himself without knowing because he just will hit it a mile. Anyway now. he's an altitude that seventeenth hole tonight. We'll someone get four hundred yard dude with the role. I guess you know. So yeah whole tea. Tonight is a seven hundred. Seventy seven.

"The holder took it back wipe to pass. Shigeo keefer drags down giants player flags everywhere. The giants were jump down again. It was gonna be. Pi spongy because one of my group. Home brothers i guess you could call him and actually turned off the tv. I was listening to the game on the radio. Young my radio out of my hands which caused me to actually missed the play lie and so i'm scrambling to try to turn the tv back on and everything. And i turned it all and all i see is not a player on the ground with the giants. Play on gal giants players jumping up without flies all over the place in. I thought it was pass interference or at least a pound. The other niners and i was about to throw up everything like that. Luckily one of the raiders cause of the wraps. The giants had men ineligible downfield at which negate the pass interference. Penalty was called on redshirt Seymour burt seaboard and the ball game was over. The niners completed the second biggest. Nfl playoff comeback and tied for fifth overall biggest comeback in nfl history at that point the second biggest comeback in niner history. Man it was it was legendary. It was the greatest play ever. I loved it. It was amazing. It was the best night as one. It i mean you know the catch to prove to me that never count niners into the last This never give up these high school or the niners can come back from any score and as long as there's time left on the clock niners you can get it done. It was amazing. Game would finish the game after tia would finish the game with eleven targets nine catches hundred seventy seven yards and two touchdowns jeff garcia finished the game. "Takes down servite thirty eight twenty eight tale of two halves pretty remarkable surveys up seven three at halftime and both teams obviously playing great defense. You know seven. Three ballgame survives pressuring bosco. They're blade blocked field goal. They're swarming to the ball. They're playing with a lot of confidence especially on defense. Bosko's playing great defense to check out these numbers. No feta excellent junior quarterback for servite. He's one for eight in the first half for six yards unbelievable. He's been played putting a huge numbers and he got it going eventually. In the second. Half and then t mac zero catches in the first half another junior on t mac mcmillan other outstanding junior But that was bosco. Really pressuring him pressing amount. I should say on on the edges and did good a great job but then know bosco takes control the second half they score on four or five possessions in the second half jabari bates runs wallo for one hundred. Seventy seven yards this guy. Matteo hoogly outstanding catches to touchdown passes the tight end sophomore five for saint john bosco catches two touchdowns in the second. Half including a key fourth down touchdown on fourth down conversion and then And then and then bosko gets enough stops to hold off. You know survive. No on t. Mac did get going in the second half put up some big numbers there but just couldn't sustain that momentum. They had in the first half but pretty interesting game pierce car. I also think Pierce clarkson is probably emerging as the number one guy. Think he's starting to step up a little separation with keeton houser. They're still rotating quite a bit. But i'm starting to see you know. I think pierced might be kind of emerging as the guy. I like both those quarterbacks. They're they're both kind of different. But pierce clarkson. Elusiveness is kind of a game changer. The he can run in compliment. That running game get out of trouble. Whenever that is can extends some drives through a couple of pretty nice touchdowns as well so and in in cadence got a great arm. But it's in. But i i kind of think that pierce clarkson could be emerging jalen woods with the big game as well Look at outside linebacker for the braves. But scotty what was your take on this game.

"Was the expected. You know marty put their vast difference on display. You know with the really the only question. We're going to game with moderates quarterback in for that alone. There were a few guys that were there. Said they were all there to see elijah specifically As you mentioned you know he went fourteen of eighteen. One sixty five three. Td's in three. You know half quarters of play. I'll say he played better than i thought black. He does look like a freshman. I think more people were expecting to be physically mature. Gifted not yet He ito he's you know. He's very still slam. He's got room to grow you know build on a skill set So it's going to be They're interesting you know. See him progresses. He definitely showed poisonous. I start Though he really wasn't pressured but he did at times. You know move around the pocket. Eluded the defender here and there Even added twenty nice twenty five yard scramble. Raul said he played well but he also forgot. You know about his mechanic some throws but he's at hey he's a freshman but he did make some line protection changes so that was good to see His first touchdown passes Had some nice touch on them. You know hitting decided as for seventeen yard corner post. I first bar city score in the connected. Later on with cooper barky for thirty five yards and then his third. Td was short out to quincy craig. Who made a nice move along. the sidelines. kinda slid by the jade center defender. Who was looked to be position to make that tackle quincy got by for seventeen yard score And then you know all the other brown making his debut was released brown and he gave a taste of. What's he's going to bring in the game. You know a lot of people have maybe heard about him but haven't really seen him play The only carried the ball eight times for eighty nine yards and a score but everyone was dynamic simply I wanna say people were saying it's video game like because he would start in stop on a dime Spin out of tackles cut on a dime in an he'd be almost at full speed on. What's instantaneous you know. We have that showed up bursting gear that nobody else has But really wasn't wasn't the only one that put up yards are added. You know he led the way with ninety four yards at you said on twelve carries and then a freshman asia bryant kinda reminds people say kinda reminds him of jj taking their stature and quickness visa kind of in a small back but he added seventy seven yards on ten carries and scored two touchdowns You know when they ran for starting grad for eighty nine between those three backs But i do have to say j. serves defensible scrappy. You know they were just overmatched up front but they did a good job not allowing that home run play sophomores raving valenciennes linebacker. Joseph torres led the lions with six tackles each monitor a big chunks of yardage but nothing longer than forty one yards. The other story. Evening was was modernized. Defense didn't allow a jason. I down in the first half. The only first down came after a late. Hit on the quarterback and if not for a seventy yard reception by junior owen chambers on the open played the second half. Monday starting defense. What the hell jay. Serta twenty yards of total offense on the night they mondays overall defense held j. sarah to ninety six yards jackson potter had a tough night. You go and and johnson the rookie from clemson You know Sure he's in the lab right now getting ready for his opportunity. And may you know so so he becomes your third guard as of right now. Obviously the raiders got a good look him last year. And i'm sure they feel like he's on on track to to be a guy that they can make on. We'd right tackle. Obviously that's there's a whole at right tackle right now but There's there's time to address that and on top of that There's there's a a really deep draft for tackles a share so will be shocked if if that's the direction that the raiders went You know in the draft but again it's march nineteenth There's there's still plenty of time to get that rectified before the draft and so offensive line. Obviously it's a concern until those guys go out there and prove it than it always. It will be a question mark. But i do know this. The raiders were. Were getting up there at age on that offensive line and the money was was starting to become Age plus that money Maybe we maybe we take that money and and spread it out a little bit more to build a more complete rosser. And that's that's kind of what they've done Thus far so we move over to To i think. I know that this this this move caused a big star but the kenyan drake Signing which looks a whole lot better After looking at the details and this is another reminder and it's a kind of a pet peeve of mine and i learned this covering this game for awhile now those first initial numbers that you see on twitter are coming from the agent and i have nothing against agents. They do a great job. They have a job to do. And it's an important job in their whole world. But i always of sit back and laugh at when i see all those numbers being bandied about on twitter and everyone running running them with A as if it's gospel and a general manager told me one time i go. Why don't you set the record straight. You know when when you see that. And they're like here's what we feel why you know it's all gonna come out in the wash anyway and number two let the guy have his day at the agent have his day. He's trying to build his clientele. He's trying to build his popular. You know his Attract other clients. You know to his. The player gets his day in the sun and his big parade and everything that we know what it really looks like here and usually not what it looks like out there. So i'm like okay. But i by tell fans this like an readers. Don't freak out on those initial numbers because it's always gonna represent the best possible scenario. You wanna look at kenyan drake Let's just let's just put it out there okay. He signed a two year. Eleven million dollar contract with eleven million guaranteed up to fourteen million dollars. And everyone's like. Oh my god that much for a backup running back a he's gonna play a lot like a starter so you don't get into the semantics but when you get into the weeds of this contract all right eight point. Five million dollar eight point five million is guaranteed at the signing so whenever he signs. His contract is two thousand and twenty one salary. Plus two thousand twenty one roster bonus plus two thousand and twenty two a roster bonus are all you know guaranteed a at a at signing but he but instead of five point five million dollars a as the yearly salary each year. It's it's actually one point. Two five million dollars with a one point seven roster bonus And so it doesn't look so bad when you start looking at it along those terms it's really a one year deal because that 2021 salary doesn't guarantee until a year from now they make decision on whether or not they want to do that and that and that Twenty twenty two roster bonus of five point five million dollars becomes guaranteed and paid on the third day of two thousand. Twenty two Next year. so it's not as bad as it looks and if he plays up to what he's doing than all good It's it's fine so anyway just again a word of warning that it's not all you know what it looks like. Sometimes so before the armchair general manager start talking about roster construction and money and all that kind of stuff. Wait till the details. Really come out before freaking out. Well kenny. drake's good any like you look at the his career yards per. Carry four point five. That's that's very good for running back and especially over the course of a career in her fifty five yards and ten touchdowns last season. I mean he's been productive everywhere. He's been in the listen. They're not gonna bring a guy in there. They're not going to go out and get a running back kenyan drake. They don't plan on like you said using him in in figuring out different ways to josh. Jacobs those guys together and being creative and keeping josh jacobs fresh. I think part of this move Just feels to me. Like josh jacobs felt like last year. He wasn't one hundred percent. He was a little banged up. He was just a step slow and felt like. And if there's a if you can go out and get another back bona fide back. When he lied bobby he was arizona's. Leave back in twenty twenty and he resolved right you guy that has experienced being a lead back you pair with another lead back now. You have options. And there's i imagine they're going to do different. Things can drake in the passing game as well. I mean he's a guy who caught in two thousand eighteen fifty three catches for seventy seven yards and then in two thousand nineteen with both teams arizona. Miami another fifty catches so. He's experience catching the ball. You can run between the tackles. He's in his prime at twenty seven years old. Maybe not the first position that comes to mind when you think of need but it is another player on the offense. It's another a skill position player. That has odd that that can alleviate some of the pressure of josh jacobs. Derek carr and they're not bringing them in here unless they have real plans to to use him into feature at various times absolutely and I think that that that the versatility and the creativity that adds. I think you're gonna see a looking at the tape to. He's more of a home run hitter than than than josh jacobs says josh jacobs is that grinding five. Six seven eight yards. Eleven yards fourteen yards. Drake take it to the house and saw that on tape. And i think in the red zone he's going to become an asset Because he can catch the ball and you line them up all over the all over the field in that area. So i really think that red zone factor is gonna come into play So so you have you have that Now offensively. I think you know jon gruden always gonna want to add to the weaponry and tweak it and and try to get better and i think he absolutely did with With kenyan drake now. We go to wide receiver. John brown Who when you look at the numbers and the production There's no reason why you know he he. He obviously slots right nelson aguilar's spot and in some cases. I mean he's had better years than to say he's better years Especially that that that that twenty nineteen season when he was the wide receiver. One in buffalo up with you know seventy plus catches a thousand plus yards Obviously this guy can produce. And i think that As he showed last year when he was healthier when he was on the field. Being part of it ensemble. He's a nice piece on on on samba. In before i get to your thoughts this whole notion of the wide receiver wound and the wide receiver to throw that all out. That's that's like yesterday's.

Derek carr eleven million Eleven yards Six twitter John brown two thousand Drake two year five million last year josh jacobs march nineteenth twenty five million dollars jon gruden josh fourteen yards one year seventy seven yards

"Back you know if he could get the opportunity. You're saying that he's not going to get that at detroit. They'll probably give him about. If i guess you know maybe forty percent most of snaps It's nice because he's he's kinda similar to to switch you know he. He's a good receiver. Guy does a little bit of everything. Well so i think he's a really good backup case whip. Were go down. You know you don't have to change your game much. You don't have to rely on on different kind of like a you know you don't have us got back. In a you know touchdown you know third down guy. You know what i mean like you don't have to have bruiser ada scat back. So he's kind of like a little bit of jack of all trades master of none of it's i do like the sonic and this is you know as i said this is probably a good signing because it's not a heavy budget you know like he's not making a ton of money he also. I think a majority of contract if i remember correctly. It's basically all incentives so you know go is probably haven't cintos to not have him hit those if you know what i mean so i think it's a good i think it's i think it's a good plus for yonder swift that they didn't go out and get a big name. I didn't see them getting a big name. Anyways i think i did a mall williams probably the biggest ever gonna get. I don't. I didn't see them personally. Going after getting big name in the draft Especially after a just drafted swift in draft. Any there aren't a ton of free agent running The honestly that you you would think would take away a lot of cares for de'andre swift so doesn't mean too much. As far as yonder stiff the my opinion. I'm gonna say something interesting to kind of follow up on your points. Kyle jamaal williams. When he gets the chance he can be a productive back and these following stats or going to agree with that statement. In the three games last season where he had more than fifteen carries he averaged at least four point one yards per carry in each of those games and had a touchdown in two or three of those games and i'll specify in week seven. He had seventeen carries for seventy seven yards. For point one yards per carrying a touchdown he also had four receptions for thirty seven yards in week eight. He had sixteen attempts for seventy five yards. Four point seven yards piquet not touchdown that game. But he had six receptions for twenty seven yards and then finally in week twelve seventeen touches for seventy three yards. Four point three yards and a touchdown so he actually was pretty consistent when he got the ball. A good amount of time so he definitely has potential and i really liked signing for the detroit lions overall time for another a headline and i wanna go to this headline because i thought this was a great bargain for the team that signed him. Marvin jones now is going to the jaguars on a two year. Fourteen and a half million dollar contract with nine point two million dollars guaranteed you're talking about undervalued players every year advancing over jones's another one You know he. He's got nobody wants. I mean you can't get like third round pick swarm last year this year. You know people just don't want them in you know he finished last year is like the s receiver. I think that. Pbr you know. He's good when he gets on the field and he gets opportunity. You know how much opportunities get with charge. It's turkey is still there about the seasons. you know..

Marvin jones six receptions seventy last year Kyle jamaal williams two forty percent sixteen attempts seven yards three games seventy seven yards thirty seven yards four receptions two year this year one yards detroit lions two million dollars more than fifteen carries week seven

"Tyreek hill has a significantly higher probability of scoring forty fantasy points. Tom brady doesn't my opinion. Okay so. Tom brady has a higher probability of that. Say twenty five number but tyreek has a higher probability of the cheating number. What do you make of. The fact that the kansas city chiefs gave up the second fewest. Fantasy points to wide receivers. This year and stefan digs just had six catches for seventy seven yards on eleven targets the week before jarvis landry had seven catches for twenty yards and a touchdown on ten targets evans had fifty yards. We did have two touchdowns. Godwin did have ninety seven yards in the first meeting. But they were great against. dj more. They were really good against stefan digs twice. They face a lot of good receivers. They've had some good performances some bad performances but overall second was fantasy points allowed a wide receivers. What does that mean to you. that's we're talking about. I think it's i was actually pleasantly surprised to translate again in that big spot against pablo there. I think it's a. I think it's a very good indication. I think that these two wide receivers and tom brady is. It's a it's a little different spot. I think that they're more healthy. I think they're going to be fine in this game but you do mention i kinda like the tight ends a little bit and it's not gronk i like i actually like camera A little bit in the smart especially with the way they're priced. I think that not a lot of people are going to go all the way up there but i do like them but i'm not too worried about the kansas city defense while it has been good while they have limited fantasy points wide receivers. I don't think that that's enough to persuade. Not play any of the wide receivers in this game. I think that if anything if they struggle early in kansas city gets off to a lead anything that they lose in terms of efficiency they're going to gain back or maybe exceed in terms of volume right. So they're gonna come out and have to throw even more if they fall behind. So i personally am not worried about it in this file. How do you feel about starting kickers so defensive and special teams in showdown in general or okay. I wouldn't never play one in the katherine spot. It's oak a in the flex spot but mostly will depend on the projected ownership of the field. So where i would be more interested in playing them might potentially be a game like this where we know. It's an offense battle and they might have a projected ownership in single digits. At that point. I could get a little onboard with getting equal to the field or maybe slightly above where i would have no interest in planning them as when they would be twenty to thirty percent on my initial run iran..

Tom brady twenty twenty yards fifty yards Tyreek hill jarvis landry seven catches eleven targets six catches ninety seven yards ten targets tyreek evans seventy seven yards This year kansas city two touchdowns second thirty percent Godwin

Second and fourteen went on the sideline jalen hurts in the game hurts. I snap complete sean. Jeffrey and then wednesday is coming back in and hurts his going to the bench. Someone will have to explain what that was about next. Play third nate whence back to throw wentz going down hard whence hit repeatedly in this game. That's a loss of six eagles. No first downs on their first five drives later in the second still most scored but russell wilson is doing something about that. They came back cab. Fifty two yards down to the one yard. Line metcalfe playing with a chip on his shoulder against the team that passed on him in the draft a couple of years ago. And then setup vis wilson david moore for the touchdown on the corner and the seahawks take a seven. Nothing lead next seattle drive. Its second goal and they can do it on the ground. Chris carson is back and better than ever bullying way into the end zone for a score and seattle a fourteen. Nothing lead with five minutes left in the hand now. Eagles trying to get something going in the red zone. Second and goal final seconds. Wentz dallas guttered. Yes there. On the board three yard touchdown fourteen six extra point. McClymonds is a state football champion for 3rd year in a row

"You're listening to the spoken edition of the San Francisco Chronicle. Mcclements estate football champion for three years in a row Oakland. Michael peters. Didn't waste words. A three peat is hard. The McClements football coach said after accepting the CIF for a division state bowl championship trophy Saturday at Laney college, the journey may have been hard. But the warriors made things look relatively easy on the field after the Clemens defense held Garfield Los Angeles to twenty two yards in the first half the offense took over in the second half. Jomar Julian rushed for one hundred seventy seven yards on twenty carries and freshman quarterback Dray in Paul through for a pair of touchdowns as the warriors rolled to thirty to six triumph. Mcclements twelve to becomes the third program to win three consecutive CIF bowls. The warriors are the first public school to do it and the first to win each bowl in a different division. The warriors claimed a five eight title in two thousand sixteen and a five AA title last season. Daily Al concord, which won four straight open division, crowns from two thousand nine to two thousand twelve and central Catholic Modesto division for two thousand twelve to fourteen are the other programs in the club for Peter's and the program the third title was possibly the toughest in addition to graduation taking a major toll on the roster. The warriors also had to deal with the loss of longtime assistant and equipment manager dean Hodges who passed away before the season. We said we were going to set out and do it for him said Peters who claimed Hodges as one of his closest friends. This isn't my best team, but they sold out and dug deep in their hearts and pulled out a win for him while the warriors defense was dominant from the get go the offense manage to six points in the first half. Garfield thirteen to tied the game six six midway through the third quarter on a seventy six yard drive that was aided by a pair of fifteen yard penalties. Mclennan's answered on the next possession driving forty two yards in seven plays and scoring on Addy Anderson's one. Yard dive for a twelve six lead. After forcing a punt the warriors tacked on another quick score. When Julian broke free for a seventy five yard run. I ran through the whole I saw the two defenders over pursuing. So I cut back. The senior running back said it was an instinct of move Peters wasn't surprised by the Ron or Julian's night as a whole he's just a grown, man. That's all I can tell you the coach said he runs hard. I'm still shocked that a lot of schools haven't come in offered him a scholarship, but they will Julian tacked on two point run for a six lead after three quarters. The warriors got a twenty six yard touchdown pass from Paul today. The Sanders and a second touchdown run. Twenty yards from Anderson to close out the scoring Paul finished with just one hundred forty two yards on ten of seventeen passing. Montreal Smith had an interception and fumble recovery for the warriors defense all of us wanted this Julian said all of us wanted that three Pete. We all had the drive to win this game all of that heart together, and we came out as a strong. Team chase. Bryson is a freelance writer.
