"At seven P.m. Eastern Time, says Sunday's is our slot to kind of get you ready for the work week. Sundays at seven P.m.. That's four p.m. on the West Coast Pacific time. And if you're up early on Monday, will also air Mondays at eight A.m. Eastern time, which is really early five AM for the West Coast, but they create build manage show is going to television so wanted to Let you know about that. It's just September. The 12th. 2021 on my mind and on a lot of people's mind. This weekend, of course, is the 20th anniversary of 9 11. And in part of me, it's just hard to think that it's been 20 years. And in some respects when I start to look back on the last 20 years, Of course, it feels like it's been longer, but you know, everyone has the Where are you moment? I think Ryan for our generation. Um, it's the defining moment is where were you when 9 11 happened? Yeah, without question without question. Our parents, of course, were around for 9 11, but they also remember the assassination of president JFK. I think I think we may have also had in our generation. The space shuttle. That's true. The early eighties. That's true. I do remember that challenger? Yeah, Yeah, yeah, that's true. Yeah, There's just those moments in your life when you kind of look back, and you remember So I thought, you know, rather fitting today to start off the show. Um, that kind of talk a little bit about r 911 stories and kind of where they were at and Ryan. I don't know where you were at you. And I did not know each other 20 years ago. But we were both working in media, which added a different kind of wrinkle to everything that was going on. So I'm curious. Or you have family net. Uh, family net. So what was what was your day like on that Tuesday, so I was actually driving to work. I remember exactly where I was on Interstate 30 and for West Fort Worth. And making my exit or just actually getting on and I heard on the radio that a plane had hit. I guess it was our one right? And you know, I don't know if this is My and my tendency to under plot to downplay something, but my first thought was, Oh, it's a pilot pilot school, a flight of flight. Frankly, all thought that was just heard it because I think it had just happened right recently, fairly recently, not into a building, but you know, right in the neighborhood or something like that. And so that was my first thought. Well, then I remember pulling into the office and walking in and our engineers who the guys that you and I worked with and not at the time, but you work with him later. We're all gathered around. This is before everybody had smartphones Mart phones. We didn't have any streaming on our everybody's laptop, so we had to go to a TV set. And they had gathered around the one cable box we had in the building and turned it to Fox News or CNN. You know, one of the 24 sevens and and just kind of looking at it. It was it was at that point there were four or five was gathered around that became real, right. This is not just an accident. You know it had that progression from one. It wasn't a little plane. Then it was a big was a big plane but intentional and that's where I think it really shifted. When you when you realize that somebody did this on purpose, it wasn't a navigational error. It was intentional and family that at the time, um if I'm not mistaken, you guys were part of Fox, right? And you do like, not not yet. Okay, that became so I was just thinking about this. We'll go. We were not a news age. We didn't have a news division. We didn't do any news. But I think that week, everybody Yeah. Every television or radio broadcaster became news. And so we began to it's 20 years later, we were stealing footage from anywhere anywhere. We could get get a feed in to get just to get something right on the air. And so you know, that happened at eight o'clock our time, Right? Central time. And so yes, Central time is eight o'clock. We went live at 10. So we were just grabbing everything We could. Yeah. Try to cobble something together to put on the air. And, um, um, you know, I think at the time we went live nobody really knew other than that it had happened. Yeah. We didn't know any of the details. Nobody had claimed responsibility at that point. And so that remember that whole week was just kind of a blur of while we weren't doing news. We were learning how to kind of do news. And so it was a lot of late nights and early mornings and And figuring it out in the midst of dealing with the emotions right. A national tragedy. You know, Once in a generation, I pray national tragedy. So my story I was news director and radio station at the time in 2000, and one is a pivotal year. My life personally, My wife and I had gotten married earlier. That year. We've been married 20 years got married in March. Actually Honeymoon in D. C. Which is a story for another day. Why we chose D. C um and so you know, going into that day we had been to D C earlier that year actually went to the Pentagon where the tours weren't being allowed at that time because of renovation. And, of course later, we learn There wasn't as many casualties as could have been in the Pentagon because of plane hit an area that was being being renovated. But on September 11, so just to give you I'm in small rural town, Texas College town doing news? I was set to graduate. Um, actually, I just graduated. I graduated college in May. Still working at the radio station I did in college. And that day is kind of interesting because the local city because it was 911. They had an emphasis on 911 preparation. So the big story in local news in Brownwood, Texas. Before eight. A.m. was how the city leaders had this big event. To practice if there was a big emergency, and so I got to the office early. I'm rolling tape on the scanner and they're doing as if it's an actual emergency. And of course, it's not at this point. And so that was the story that day. You know, city leaders and county leaders are getting together to prepare. Of course, none of them knew, right. What was going to happen? Just a few hours later. We wrapped up the morning show Casino radio You mentioned you went on the air 10. We wrapped up the morning show right as the first plane hit. We were in ABC radio news affiliate..

Travis Scott's first Fortnite concert was surreal and spectacular

"So old. Because I'm sure everybody who is like below twenty five heritage Travis. Scott had a concert in Fort Night. Did you hear about this in four-night yet in fortnight he had exhausted so base. Okay so you know what fortnight is. It is like a big video game interactive game thing and so he had to publicize it and everything so like and they had like five of them so that different people around the world watch it but at seven. Pm Eastern time. Let's just say he they if you logged into the game and we're just like in the game map you're just like hanging out. The whole game map changed and it became like a trippy acid trip kind of like seeing and it had a giant Travis. Scott like animated him like as a little video game. He's a huge and they don't have like a stage per se. They had this huge like almost like space art planet that was floating in the sky in the game and the whole map was the concert and they just played it along with the music and they basically just play detract. They played like four or five of his tracks as it was like fifteen minutes long. But it's just like you think of. It almost is like music video that you could swim around walk around and you online game so like different things happening so like when the Song Change. Sometimes you were swimming. And then he was like kind of floating and other times you're in space. And he had like astronaut outfit on and then other times he was like in the main map which is kind of like a big city and he's like stomping around and you can run up to him and stuff like that and like it was really well done. It looked really cool and I was like this is how people might you know experience concerts from now on. You live music. Who's just playing his track. He was just he was just playing it but clearly this was a very big effort from them to all these he wasn't like he was wrapping into phone or something. But Hey yeah that could be the next thing you know like. Yeah I thought maybe this is going to be something kind of like you know you're while you're there and there's like a concert stage and there's going to be a little. Avatar of him and that would have been fine. But that's like Kinda whatever right like you're you're essentially just kind of recreating shitty experience but this one is like this. He was huge and it was really artistic and it was like it took full advantage of all the technology. Yeah the game which was really cool and I was like. I mean we do not have the money of Travis Scott nor fortnight. So like there's no way we could do like a really cool comedy show. Where like we're huge in. It looks like you're taking shrooms and like listening tour jokes but very if you and I had the money and did like a fortnight takeover and Detroit do stand up those kids would like shoot us from fucking the ground they were taking. It would die and died so you can't do the show anymore but we page you a million dollars. Yeah sorry you know you're you know you're you're HP's too low. You know with the with the crossbow. So it was really cool. And I think I'm curious to see what's going to happen so you just kind of connecting with zoom thing. If we don't do zoom shows you know what else. What else can we do? You know. It's like? Yeah what else we got. What else we got not gonNA talk has

T. E. Y. Stein online dot com you can find that and if you like then you fancy spending a bit more time with me there's always the box sign cruise you can go to mark Steyn cruise dot com one one of the where it is aspects of this impeachment thing is that nobody believes it's an impeachment everybody says I'll while I watched a bit there how many days knows it let me figure this out is to say so I think it's we're getting close to six days since the moment when the president was in page I don't see an M. and and and MSNBC I think the vote came through it like eight fifty seven PM eastern time and their role during that this is historic historic vote I'll never forget where I walls when they impeach Donald Trump and all the rest of it and know where anywhere in the rest of America does anybody think of it like that nobody thinks that the incident liaison even historic anymore they took a century to get around to impeaching the first guy Andrew Johnson and then it was another century before anybody brought up the subject again with Richard Nixon since then three of the last eight American presidents have been impeached two of the last four American presidents have been impeaches becoming fifty fifty this so becoming a thing anymore it's becoming is becoming routine where defining impeachment down so nobody apart from these shifts from Pelosi and the media think of this as a real impeachment no the if you go back if you they usually play used to sit in films of the period in place of the period during the Nixon herrings everybody knew every aspect of it everybody knew everything about Rosemary woods and the missing section of the tape in all people were a gold on the TV watching it every day and and then they make films of the period I think I was this the ice storm that came out to about to think of the late nineties about swing is in Connecticut or whatever it was and and the they have a scene in there in which there watching the Nixon impeachment nobody's watching nobody's following this nobody everyone people sort of understood but yeah is something to the Ukraine will be able to to do the crown well that trump made a phone call to Ukraine and I think that's a high crime or is it a misdemeanor I don't know but it's one of them and they get MP nobody cares about it now trump's approval rating from the hill from some fruitful rating name is fifty percent fifty percent I'm all this if you wanted to be Fridays I'm unless except a rush was speaking at this conference down in Florida just may rush Neira Palm Beach he introduced the president and they had various other speakers that this conference and among the this because I had was and culture you also is down in that part of the world and they and then told her he took part in some paneling man has been one of the most critical she's the one of the opposite of a never from her is she wants trump to be calm pia and she thinks the trump has been de trumpet five by various anti trump has that have surrounded him in the in in the White House and in the administration and she thinks she likes trumpet is from this and she was speaking at this conference where Russia introduced the president if you want and that is a real constituency by the way there were people who was superb from those who would like trump to be calm pia and a disappointed because I'll old of of policies where he's dialed the trump **** back if you wanted to energize phat bass against anything the best way to do it is to impeach the god where is setting up the situation exactly like in their Appan in the United Kingdom a week ago when everybody was everybody's been talking about how the failure to deliver bricks it people that own one breaks it people are scared of brexit they voted for brexit they was stupid moronic knuckle dragging masses who didn't really know what they were voting for because let's face it one of the problems with democracy is that it gives every mall on a value ten we Constand the morons and so the morons voted for brexit but they didn't last too moronic to know what they were doing and in fact now they get the second chance and that is again a vote full socialism they're going to vote for the people who want to repeal brexit and in the end all those policies gone gone absolutely crush and more people voted conservative in the United Kingdom a bigger proportion of the electorate voted conservative in the United Kingdom that have done in half a century since the nineteen seventy election and fewer people voted for the labor party than at any point since nineteen thirty five and you cannot give out the reasons for it but one of the motivating factors was the desire to punish all the obstructionists the people who either attempted to subvert the people's vote in the brexit referendum and that's what's relevant head that's what's relevant hits only even anything particularly today with socialism all liberalism all this is a mall vandalism because it gets to something more basic the fact that you were you were you for rejected the results of the vote and your trying to subvert the vote and in the United Kingdom they spend three years the people who spent three years trying to subvert the vote just got screwed over just call toll we don't want you just Scott told good luck finding some career off to politics is going on in parliament anymore I'm only a few of my view of impeachment is that that's actually what's going to happen here the people who were like and culture and cool down from because he wasn't Trumpy enough for them all right she now going to be determined to go to the polls and vote for trump all over again just because these creeps I have spent three years trying to deny him a family's done things he's had a remarkable ability to concentrate considering that it's even you know considering that the period the stupid free months transfer of power thing they spend that period the deep state the permanent bureaucracy all the rest them spend that period setting up the structures that would attempt to subvert to cut his presidency off at the knees before he'd even been sworn in and people get that he will get that we will get the votes with that's that's what's basically going on if he didn't do anything in Ukrainian made a cold day the bottoms on tape bargains on film actually the money a quid pro quo he says if you want a billion dollars you fathers prosecutor I'm Joe Biden I don't know whether he actually did that he's on tape boasting about it so we we should give the same weight as a man who confesses to dumping the body in the light he's confessed to a crime on camera lab Joe Biden is a bracket he's always you know like when he was talking about domestic violence we'd keep punching punching punching it domestic violence when he's talking about Colin Powell I we to how we took a E. what he was taking it tire chain out to Colin Powell this gang leader who Joe Biden is man enough to insult by calling him Mister Williams which for some reason is a big insult in the Philadelphia area will waive it was down away and action so brave men Joe Biden brags about everything he's at the center of everything is the toughest home by anyone's so he might just actually be bragging about something that never happened we have an actual video confession the corruption is the bidens hunter Biden a sleazy worthless creep making just shy of a hundred grand a month in a country where the average salary is two hundred dollars a month so he's a thief you know if you take the you know you've got to come take the Democrats seriously that's the whole thing is it's legitimate for people for rich people to pay more it's legitimate to redistribute wealth from fabulously rich people to to pull people that's what Elizabeth Warren one such with Bernie once but somehow when it comes to redistributing hunter Biden's it'll gone and gains by like his house in Beverly hills and a six figure stipend from the Ukrainian oligarch who's who's bought and paid for the son of a sitting vice president suddenly all these great re distributors of wealth clam up you can redistribute anybody's wealth except on the bidens Hastings he's a corrupt one and and if you wanted to find a way to energize the trump vote while not energizing the Democrat vote which is bold by impeachment as bold by anybody else then this is the way to do it not signing for much working to take your polls straight ahead this.

"This Saturday seven PM eastern time not one but two former Attorney General Ronald Reagan's Attorney General ed Meese George W. bush's Attorney General Michael Casey when we discuss the mount Mahler hearings if you're the program was partly pre empted last Sunday and the first half hour rated enormously I was very popular so you'll get to watch the entire program I hope you will Sunday a brand new show would kneel Ferguson is incredibly intelligent women discussed China and Russia we're also gonna discuss socialism versus capitalism I think you'll find it interesting it's not the kind of TV show that you normally watch because it doesn't really exist elsewhere on television yes tries to do it that they can't we do it ten PM Sunday on fox on life liberty and live in eastern time at seven PM Pacific I hope you'll watch also please if you haven't gotten your copy one freedom of the press we have a family member who needs to read or a friend or neighbor we gonna see somebody this weekend give them a copy I actually buy copies myself and hand them out did you know that Mr producer it's important the substance of the book is important because one of the grave threats we we face in this country is the lack of a truly free press and by that I don't mean government intervention I mean what's between the ears we have an ideologically driven progressive press a social activist press that's why you see all these radicals and so forth that's why you hear other hosts on TV and radio now stating something the never stated before because they read my book that the media are leading the charge the media are leading the charge and you see this in growing Tierney's growing despotic regimes that's what happens this issue about what how long are we going to fight I hate to tell everybody this but the battle between liberty and tyranny is permanent it takes on different looks different methods different adversaries different enemies domestic in farm but the the yeah the evil diabolical schemes to destroy liberty our forever that's what the human mine that's what mankind tells us but history tells and we have to be mindful of this and sometimes it takes just organization to battle it sometimes it takes ideas to battle it sometimes it takes a military to battle it just depends on the situation doesn't it really is so bizarre when here how much longer will this go on we don't dictate that we're the ones defending liberty we don't dictate how long this that or the other thing is and may I make another suggestion to you if we talk about specific theaters in wars part of the reason some of these wars go on for a long time is because we don't fight to win the have we fought to actually defeat the Taliban in Afghanistan I'm not even talking about nukes we have such military might I'm not even talking about infantry look at the Vietnam War what do we really fight that to win no we didn't so the problem is in many respects the commander in chief for politicians are who members involved in making these decisions not the fighting men and women but we don't live in a fantasy world there are terrorists there communists there are fascists they're all kinds of enemies in genocidal maniacs out there I want to move on to Elizabeth Warren believe it or not this is the Boston globe one releases financial report Elizabeth Warren the Harvard Law School professor and consumer advocate this is from my twenty twelve twenty twelve okay wasn't just released and consumer advocate within was challenging Scott brown took more home more than seven hundred thousand disclosure but they were provided by her campaign one has Patrick campaign is a fight for the middle class which he says is left behind in the recession well the financial industry has been protected within one seven hundred thousand dollars in teaching and consulting fees is forty four thousand dollar payment Sheeran in twenty ten is a consult for travelers insurance company for cases involving asbestos victims we understand that she was paid by travelers to fight asbestos victims for the little guy to saying and I'm not opposed to that mean they they have to have representation to but she doesn't present itself that way despite her claims you don't need to be a Harvard professor to know that insurance companies don't hire big time lawyers because of their interest in protecting the little guy said Jim Barnett a spokesman for the lan brown campaign here's the bottom line here is why I started this Sheeran over a two year period as Katie Pavlich has tweeted out four hundred thousand dollars to teach one class as Elizabeth Warren closes the night with complaints said Pavelic the other day about the cost of college for students just remember she was paid four hundred thousand dollars to teach one class shows well worth it Mr producer are you four hundred thousand dollars to teach one class they just know how to rip off the government they know how to use the government to line their pockets whether it's China whether it's the states this I'm believe it's sickening this is what I mean about a non free press how come not a single question was posed to Lizabeth warn about any of this going to debate some which he's participated in a not one not one question now the left is very upset that their hero Barack Obama was criticized by other candidates you're not allowed to criticize a bomb the media's discussed it with I I can't believe that they would attack Obama they're supposed to attack trump like we do Obama's to be protected and he still building this monstrosity in a historic site in Chicago and the complaints by the community left and right in local newspapers there and again the national media could give it the arts what sorry and all that so bomb here is Rebecca Bach on CNN today apparently she knows bomber at least claims to cut three go as you know Obama has been trying.
