Day 079 (Deuteronomy 28-29) - Year 2

"Hey Bible readers I'm barely hobble and I'm your host for the Bible Recap today. We drop back. In on Moses as he's reviewing the blessings and curses portion of the covenant. He reminds the Israelites. The blessings that await them if they obey God he will give them victory in battle and Moses even says God will command his blessing on them. Wow blessings go where God tells him to go and he promises to give the things only. He can give life growth and rain when that happens. The people around them. We'll take notice that there seems to be a unique blessing on this nation state because of God's very evident protection and provision these other nations will be afraid of the Israelites because nothing is more terrifying than your enemy is thriving when Israel thrives. They'll lend to their neighbors in need and remember. Their neighbors are their enemies. Neighbor isn't just some word to suggest. Friend the surrounding nations oppose them. And don't follow your way. All of these blessings will follow them if they follow. God if they don't follow God the curses will come and wow they sound terrible covenant curses were typically not just the absence of blessing but the complete reversal of blessing. Say You may have noticed those parallels for example the blessing would have them be victorious over their enemies who would scatter in seven directions but the curse would have them losing to their enemies while they scattered in seven directions. That's how covenants were typically written a complete reversal of outcome for blessings and curses. That's one reason why some of these verses might seem extra harsh but they're more of a demonstration of Covenant Language Than of Character for instance. Twenty eight sixty three says as the Lord took delight in doing good and multiplying you. So the Lord will take delight in bringing ruin upon you and destroying you. This is typical covenant language and it's The opposite of what we've seen about God's character and how he regards his people he doesn't delight in harming them. We heard some harsh words for Moses today but first of all. This conversation isn't over yet and second. We have to remember what we've learned about God so far from the other times. Moses has discussed God's relationship with these people resist the urge to isolate this text and built the algae around something taken out of the greater context. Remember fifty three where we learned in Leviticus twenty six that God will be faithful even when his people are faithless he will pursue them even when they go astray in these other passages were Moses covering the same thing he covered here. We've seen that. God only sends the bad in order to bring about good in the end and remember. We don't want a god who lets her bell without consequence. We want a God who will call us back to him when we stray. And that's exactly the kind of God. Yala is not a god of punishment but of discipline and protection is disciplined protects us from the far greater. Harm you would bring ourselves and others if we continued in rebellion unchecked as I was reading through some of the curses. A lot of it reminded me of job one of the things. We learned there that you can't always look at someone struggles and determine the reason for them. It's not always because of disobedience. In fact for job those things happen to him because of his righteousness and we know that. Because that's what God said before. The whole thing started and for the Israelites. God is telling them how things will work with them but these curses will be a result of disobedience to the covenant. He's made with them. We can't always look at our own circumstances and make a determination about what God is doing. Why it's an opportunity to trust him and lean in regardless of what's happening because if our struggles are the result of sin and repentance is what our hearts need and if our struggles aren't the result of sin than his nearness will still be a comfort to us. Regardless as Moses wraps up the blessings and curses he urges all the Israelites to keep this covenant. It's not just a covenant with the leaders it's with everyone from the greatest to the least including the foreigners and sojourner is living among them and even the Israelite to react to be born. He reminds them of all the things. God has done for them. You rescued from slavery provided them with food and clothes gave them victory over bigger and greater enemies and he is even given them some land already where the two point five tribes live. Moses warns everyone against thinking they might be the exception to the rule he warns against an unrepentant heart and against presuming upon. God's grace encourages them to just do. GotTa show them the revealed things and trust God with the rest. The secret things but Moses nosy people well and in two thousand nine four he says to this day the Lord has not given you a hard to understand or is to see or to hear Moses knows they will rebel most commentators even say that's probably why he spends so much more time with all the curses than with the blessings because it's so heavy on his heart so he's imploring them to obey but spoiler alert. They don't Moses knows this and God knows this yet God still chose them to be his people knowing all the ways. Their hearts rebel against him. Where did you see your God shot? Today I saw that our God reveals things to his people but he also keeps things hidden. Twenty nine twenty nine says the secret things belong to the Lord our God but the things that are revealed belong us and to our children forever that we may do all the words of this law what he tells us is for our obedience and our joy but so is what he hides from us he reveals things that bring us greater freedom but whatever he conceals is also for our good. It's good that we don't know everything. It's good that we have to walk in step with him trusting his goodness. If I possessed all knowledge I might exalt myself against God. Who Am I kidding? I already do that and I know almost zero so by revealing some things to me. He's helping me obey and trust him and by keeping some things hidden for me. He's helping me to trust and obey him regardless what I know. Or don't know he's out for my good and one thing I do know is that he's where the joy as we hear from a lot of you who are interested in getting transcripts of our daily podcast for a variety of reasons. welcome back to influence our insights we are here at this week with another listener QNA and this one in comes from Jacqueline dealt wiler and she says what one thing did you change about your daily weekly and monthly habits that has changed her your life for the better and how did you stick with it well I think that this is such a good question that we can all relate to I mean I mean I know that we have all been there and it happens time and time again right we wanNA know those systems and those processes that really keep us going that keep us on top of our game now while in influence insides episode eleven I talk about my guy to productivity so if you haven't listened to that I don't know eight to ten minute episode I'd definitely advise vise you going to that one and listening to that as I give a great guide on what I've really done to change my morning habits and my morning routine and what I really used to be productive throughout the day so that is influence or insights episode number eleven now when it comes to habits I think that the first thing that you really have have to do in order to see success to keep that confidence up to really feel like you're getting where you're wanting to go is that you have to plan planning is key he guys it is everything when it comes to really attaining your goals and getting to those achievable next steps so one of the things that I really do that I love when it comes to planning that tweaked this was probably a couple of weeks are years ago I'm sorry to really get those habits going was that there was a few things the first thing is that I stopped looking at my phone checking my emails or doing any kind of work related stuff until ten o'clock in the morning now obviously if you're someone who works at a fulltime job the Julie that is completely unattainable there's no way I could ever do that I've got to be in office at seven thirty I get that however what you can't control is your phone usage if if it is not work related that I would not get on the phone until after ten o'clock I wouldn't be checking instagram I wouldn't be on the facebook I wouldn't be seeing you know what my friend was doing on twitter I I would not consume anybody else's content until I created something I and I would not consume their content until after ten o'clock in the morning it really allowed me to set my morning up for success it allowed me to be more present for my family it allowed me to take more time for myself really get aligned and centered with my intentions engines and what I wanted to do I also started with a little bit of just morning meditation morning devotional reading something that is encouraging I make a list of gratitude each morning it's one of the first things that I do make a list of ten things that I am grateful for really again just puts me in a mindset of positivity and and just excitement to start the day to start at right now the other thing that I did when it comes specifically to business into strategy into really planning my day out for success is that one day a week and you can do this on any day that works for you I used to do them on Sundays but now I do them on Mondays is I actually ordered this big desktop desktop calendar from Amazon and I would take this desktop calendar each week and I would plan out what my week needed to entail and this was this is specifically typically pertains to content so what content in my putting out this week what instagram stories am I going to be doing what facebook content am I going to be putting out there do I need to to set up any kind of photo shoots or anything like that for the content that I'm creating 'em making some edits and changes to current programs is there anything content wise in my business that I need to tweak change or create this is the day that I plan it out and I take this big desktop calendar and this is where I get super creative and super messy and I just go for it and I write down all of my goals I write down how I'm going to curate my goals really kind of deep dive into the planning planning process and I caught my calendar blueprint now once this calendar blueprint his dying I take I formalize it I finalize it and then I put it in my Google Akao now I'm a big fan of calendar I love it I use it I literally could not live without it me and my team use it it's a great way to connect with if you have team team or family members who need to know what you're doing about the day that's just personally how I liked to do it so I would take the B- The big desktop calendar all's my messy nece finalize it and then whatever ever was finalized I put in my Google calendar and then that is what I work off of each and every week now if you are someone who wants more guidance guidance walking through this the other tip that I can tell you is to really give you that day right give yourself that day to plan your content out I promise yes you may take a little bit of time but it's going to set you up for so much success that week and then you're not going to be feeling like you're being pulled into all of these crazy different directions throughout the week because you're like oh I've gotTa stop what I'm doing and create this piece of content and I've got to think about what I'm going to create and maybe I won't create anything at all because I can't think of anything you know we go down down those rabbit holes so really setting yourself and dedicating some time at the beginning of each week to plan out the rest of the week will set you up for success it will make you feel more proactive more productive and it will give you that confidence boost that we all need to keep going in these dreams that we are turning into realities now I do have something that can also be really helpful for you I have a guide called plan with purpose and it is just twenty seven dollars guys now plan with purpose is a video video guide and six step strategic roadmap to properly curate plan and execute your goals over a twelve month period now plan with purpose comes with a five page workbook and deep dive video guide where I personally coach you through the planning process and every month for my planning and lifetime immediate access to the material so you can return the planning strategies whenever you want your after year again guys it is just twenty we seven dollars purpose to get this amazing six step strategic roadmap and video guide and five-page workbook all right thank you so much for that question I know that that is one that we have all battled with it is exactly why I had to figure something out for myself off and is why I created playing with purpose jacqueline so I appreciate that and I cannot wait to catch up with you guys next week on another episode of influence or insights before you go remember to screen this episode and share it with me over on Instagram by tagging me at Joel Soloman and Hash tagging the influence or podcast I always Rule One Broken Down

"Hello my name is jesse mecum in this podcast number three hundred eighty nine for wine ab where we teach you for roles to help you stop it from paycheck to paycheck. Get out of debt and save more money today. I want to go back to the basics for like we've been <hes> yeah. We've been chatting about a lot of different things but today. Let's hit the basics so basic fact but i want to talk about rule one. The reason we'll one rule rule one is rule one as because it is the most important rule every other rule is actually just subset of that first rule rule. No one is to give every dollar a job. Let's break it down word for word. Give but you know you're bestowing it's <hes> it's you being benevolent and <hes> it implies that you're in control. It implies that you get to decide you. Oh you are the benefactor and you can basically tell those jobs that you own full and outright. You can just give them the job. <hes> you want them to do so you give because you're in control. You are the supreme czar of this this situation so you give you don't assign you. Give you being kind right and you're being thoughtful and you're being benevolent. So you give every you give everydollar a job. Let's talk about every you don't let a single dollar off the hook because if you do then it does not keep its sanctity as a zero based budget the trade offs disappear but if you're giving every dollar a job that means every single dollar has a purpose has some intent behind it because the benevolent dictator has decided that's that's how it should be and has given those jobs to those dollars so every single dollar has to have a job so that if you ever need jobs for something else what's route three. We'll talk about that. In a couple of weeks. You can feel the trade off and that feeling of the trade off is is probably the most important thing about budgeting period but if you don't give everydollar job then you aren't feeling that trade off. You aren't feeling the pull of if i do a i can't do be so you. You must give every dollar job. Don't defer dollars. Don't wait. Don't leave them to be budgeted later. That's not a job okay. You defer it by san. I want you to pay my rent next month. That's a job but don't you say i'll leave this here to make my budget a little squishy in that instance. Those dollars are escaping jobs and we don't want that. If you want those dogs to have the job of peace of mind and a buffer of some kind or another then that's fine but be intentional about it. Every dollar has to have a job now dollar. Let's talk about that for a little bit dollar. Pound euro whatever it's all the same but <hes> the key here here is dollar and why not sent why not penny because we don't want to get too granular dealer so the idea of budgeting something to the tune of fifty cents unless it's a math you know your life. Insurance premium is nine hundred twenty seven dollars in sixteen cents to divide that by twelve and comes out with some pennies but for the most part you should find yourself. Budgeting in whole dollar amounts anything less than i feel like. You're just typing more than so you need to so. Let's keep it to the dollars then you give but evelyn dictator every thorough dictator dollar common common sense pragmatic dictator a job and that's where the dictators priorities are defined. It's a job it's work. It's it's productive. It's probably efficient. It's purposeful. There's intent behind it. It's meaningful. There's passion there. Perhaps do you think about the ideal job for you. What do you look at an intersection of skills passion <hes> economic viability. What about with your money. What kind of jobs are your money doing. Are there. Perhaps some where you see that you're really good at this kind of thing where it's a skill cross this cross section or where you have passion for that hobby that projects you're spending money there where it's just economically <hes> pragmatic and commonsense incense to have your jobs do certain things food clothing shelter unless clothing as your hobby and then i i do not understand you however over the job. It's gotta be economical. It's gotta make sense. It's gotta make money since it's gotta make sense from a value standpoint what you really want to do with your life. Just like a real job would and it also needs to represent your skills. Your abilities your uniqueness all of that comes into play as you decide what jobs your dollar should do so that is rule. One broken down word for word do not neglect it. It's budgeting until next time. Follow ups for rules and you will win financially. You've never budgeted like this.

Larry Magid: Chores Get An Upgrade With BusyKid

"Well, if you have children, you might be interested in finding ways to encourage them to do their chores as well. As encouraging them to save money, and perhaps donate to charity. And of course, there's an app for that earlier. We spoke to Larry about busy kits before. I described the app I want to say that I have mixed feelings about it. I'm neither recommending it nor thing it's a bad idea. But if an interesting app, and I think it's worth consideration. The idea is to encourage kids if you mentioned earlier to invest to donate to charity, and of course, to get their chores done, and it's done through both a parent and child dashboard that allows the parent to give the kid money to reward them for having gun their chore, if they're allowing so to speak and a child dashboard, which shows to child how much money they've gotten and allow them to donate the money spend, the money or invest money when you say spend the money how does that work the child gets a visa debit card, and the parents can put money into that account, which the child can then spend using that card either online or in. Store or anywhere else that Vive accepted fill in addition to being away that the child can spend the money that they earned I suppose there could be special situation. Maybe the child is going out with friends and the parent wants them to be able to pay their portion of the Bill apparent could add money to that card that the child could then use to spend you mentioned investing. But when you invest in the stock you usually have to invest quite a bit even for a single share. How does this work what are the way to buy partial share? So you could actually by a certain amount of Amazon stock or apple stock or any other stock that you wanted to buy by entering in a dollar amount rather than a number of share that you want to buy and you could invest if little at five dollars at a time, and you get a partial share of that stock do parents have control over how the kids can spend the money. Yeah. According to the fight the parents can approve or disapprove any transaction a child makes whether that spending donating or investing. So ultimately, the parents have both ability into the child's account and control. And by the way, maintaining an account cost twenty. Four ninety nine a year for the entire family and seven dollars and ninety nine cents a year. If you want to spending card.

Get Paid By Blogging: 11 Things Most Bloggers Ignore

"An ensemble cast iron and i help women who want to leave life of time unfreedom become wildly successful using proven organic marketing strategies so that they can finally cheese a lifelong dream so this confidence in today's particular podcast me gonna be looking at how to get paid by looking i'm looking at eleven things move love you know that's eleven things will love it you know let's get right into it i wondering how to get paid by plugging do you know that only two percent of workers in over a hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year do you know what i say do you ever get this nagging feeling the back of their heads that you possibly forgot to include something important on your book is there or do you have he system in place like a puppy love check on this or you know something feminazi showed if you remember to include what he said joe items you may have considered this before but what makes your plugs time dog from the other one hundred seventy two thousand seven hundred ninety nine folks publish every single day i know that some people get stops get started blogging just as a hobby but here is another worrying statistic for you average time spent rising above pools street and a half hours which does not include we switch strategy so if you if you blow everyday or write a blog post every day or every week that's three and a half hours puppy be plus three and a half hours of research and writing about booze what is you're currently tune on that investment of time the truth is that many bloggers struggle with figuring out how to get all the moving pieces together but that is if they are aware of those pieces however it does not have to be this week for you in fact i'm going to let you in on a few secrets that is successful bloggers would not tell you in this particular podcasts i'm going to nine eleven essential items that most of us forget all ignore include in order to get heat lipid okay all right so what is the purpose of a blog before diving do eating ever essential items is super important for me to dissect the purpose of a blog at this point i could go into the history of booking where does believe that beat some holland's sounds was the first acquainted to lug however both of us would fall asleep before too long because i think could be much in history was far from my favorite subject in school so in layman's tombs blogs i loved by google and other search engines because it provides fresh content on a regular basis logos ride doubles as a week to markets to contend that let's release the hope attracting seeing potential reid is what happens when they rita views the content and off they reid your particular propose is a main focus of this particular podcast today have you ever spent some time analyzing the jimmy off your potential readers not understand the reaper plus a blog glitter if you look at a jimmy off your rita on what he loved should include at the end of this at the end of these items you longo wonder how others get paid much you have an idea of what needs to happen this your particular book okay so number one set up an email provider setting a blow can be such an exciting fighting experience for anyone the vast majority of us spend their time worrying about truck traffic however having ten thousand page views every month may look good on analytics report what's it mean it may have no effect on your bank balance also is very little impact on on your knowledge of this amazing audience of ten thousand users if you're not finding ways to communicate with that setting up an email provider is an important part of loving because every one of you spent on even marketing as a blocker in brings back forty four dollars in recent so he return on investment of one dollar is actually forty four dollars when you set up a email marketing on your block correctly the good news is that you could set up your tuesday for free have left at lincoln the show notes where you could look at the date top it's a free even marketing providers that i have taken time in done a lot of research on so that you could also take advantage of them in number two or should i say coming in at number two is free content i'm great how many times have you been given the option to sign up for free email newsletter i cringe every time i see one sign up front on free email newsletter and here's why i stopped watching the news ten years ago as part of my reach it talks anyone wanting to send me more news when not being tied to get my email address yes i'm weird like that but here's the important facts you if you offer something more relevant other than newsletter do you think they may be interested this is why it's important to start building relationships with joel rita's by offering them something of fatty these items kind of include cheat sheet checklists equals women now or other kind of principal even though you're offering them for free they will help you get paid ragging when they purchase and high temp from you wanna ties you're blog is number three this one can be difficult depending on your niche in the ladies i was to not included affiliate links on any of my my brand new braunfels until my broker saturday ranking in the search engines however i've since ignore that and feis included them wherever possible whenever possible there are so many recently ties you up who's if you're talking a if you're talking about your book above who's have a product of sort of his views on amazon for example you could include links do ticket products you kind of go sign up a too many affiliate programs rams are available in your specific niche for example share a sale and if you ever heard of it before but it's a a huge a i guess you call it a nun hysteria community but election election of a different affiliate programs as available in one place it's called share seal or one woods's s h e r e e s e l e and it's a great place to find options across not just one pitch but they have it available across several niches having your production and also this is yet another week that you couldn't show that you blow this much ice oh if i have a huge huge list of foods he plus we've if you wanna tie it up so feel free to head over there to grab those more ideas i've left lincoln the show notes these this way of my ties and you're block will increase the chances it's his of getting paid by blocking a number four i have properly set up ups in full this has happened to me several times i knew what i'm talking about him just as guilty as anyone of you out there i remember being so excited to create a freebie or content upgrade for in you blog posts squeezer reelected and set it up correctly and by setting up second setting it up correctly i mean if you've never if you've ever connected on upton form to your email service provider you know what i mean there's several steps that you have to go through a i have i have plugging or something in the back there 'em or if you if you start if you creating the form captain from from scratch as well there's a lot of moving parts on an if you've ever wondered if white is a drop in your email list groot check out you upton forms and see if it's receptivity i set up correctly this happened happened to me you know several times no matter what it is important to go back through every single form on a on a on your blog and of course vp's is just make sure things are connected property and that's just me sort of human error because you know be a human we forgets unfortunately especially when you're getting older a trust me trust me when i say this i have a duty to see freebies available on my blog so when you get when you get the ten that's the way you don't and you you probably only top ten but i somehow i have to give them a when he gets that many upton foams as okay well it's different ones to different segments a of of its that's got a little bit confusing and human harris sets in some members of sediment old up correctly if you find that you have a drop in your email described in numbing coming coming in at number five i have preaching reaching one time office or will chico's if you've never heard of that before but it needs to be honest with you know south right now do you have any one time off as you organs to grab just case you've never heard of this phrase me for one type of product at that you offer those recites subscribe to emailing us some people call it a trip wires no me is priced between seven dollars and fifty seven dollars and there's none of which is anywhere else on your site at that price did you knew that five the twentyseven type tiny sorry did you do at five five twenty percent of people who joined you email us will buy you a one time will fall i know that it's can be tricky to find good suffer provider for one time office but he could always use a the ones available from thrive for elemental number six we have including countdown timers at one point i fell a couple of a couple of congo time until i realized the psychology behind it if i lose altogether come from time it is time that is pleased to get a witch hunt one time offer it gives you subscribe by the chance to buy or fall within x amount of minutes could be five minutes ten minutes you decide seven minutes you side how how many minutes you wanna keep them if the person needs its then they most likely will go for it however if it is not in need than the time will not have any facts on them in the pos i told you i was forcing people to buy something that it didn't really neat that wasn't until i realized that i would never buy something that will not be useful from be well my business no matter the price the time what price that's available however i have to tell you that finding an inexpensive condom time that he's up steve is very difficult many of them can set you back at least twenty five dollars there's a month a number seven we have reaching an email sequence yikes i can hear you saying that puts us i you're terrified of creating an email sequence because you have no idea what the safety of subscribers well i'd like to welcome you to the terrified communicates subscribers club yes i have to agree with you that it appears to be so so difficult however do you knew what is worse not communicating with them at all let's enjoy an email lists and not hearing it from the bronco so many times as a problem you are frustrated about not making money any money looking but you have not communicated but you audience ita this is so hilarious but over the years i've learned that you don't need to have you along for doc ready just yet it is a great opportunity to communicate kate which subscribers the finals what they need you know what sick karn struggle so if you can create it and do any weaken sign on that is if you have she you know emailed them if if you want to get paid to blow my advice to you is to create yes so sequence five in you take it from there i've number h i have having an upsell the moment you create a product you should consider having an up so if you have no idea what i'm talking about let me explain how you set up your one time will fall then it would make sense have another higher priced item for those who pushes just one time offer i consider you cringing from here you're probably thinking why would you half second all far off the wall and it took you so much courage to create your first offer well satistics shoe that sixty seventy percent of your existing customers with by up so so if you currently have an email list of five hundred subscribers he is what you should what should have happened when you know when you seidel from scratch five percent of them should have purchased one time over at a price over seven pillows for one time over which is a minimum you'd be something to be less it looks at twentyfive when you apply by seven dollars equals a hundred and seventy five dollars and cents sixty sixty seventy percent of those twentyfive would actually buy up so so sixty percent of them logistics upsell then it would look like this that's the upside is a an e book at forty seven dollars and fifteen people would actually by upset and forty seven dollars and that looks up at seven hundred and five others just because you have a one time offer an upsell as brothers we all think we need to have twentyfive thousand page views and one and all five thousand subscribers so if you can make a thousand dollars actually it's not true even after you make a thousand dollars we had lots of much smaller let's okay at number nine i have offer e down so i conceived by two years after leading this particular types or even listening to this particular types yes on the starting point where you have subscriber for you give you a subscriber to to solve the problem see you you just see a setting i need to see it as offering you'll subscribers the option of solving a problem they're facing again in case sister is very foreign to you it dunk so is simply giving you have cost money but as he to invest in a high temperature eighty your price and bits removed so let me give you a very practical example if you were selling it calls which on nine free do treating four hundred ninety seven dollars as upsell example then the dunk soap would be a deep that same course and e book format the templates for seventy seven dollars there was a time i saw this as he bit too much however if you see it as giving the prospect of course somewhat he reto still solves that problem at a lower price than it is not as hot as you mentioned it to be right side number ten i have creating products so many love believe that they have absolutely nothing to offer their organs or they take way too long to create their products and services if you're eating this i'm not in your head because he believes that you don't have anything to offer then releasing the get every one of have eight we have at least one book in us that we need to tell the world this is the year that you start lining the chapters of your book you'll subscribe your subconscious mind will help in the bronx think about it for a second what can you talk about i lucked without doing lots of research promise me that she will start creeping up as soon as you finish meeting or listening to this particular podcasts also is important that you have a part of the feet of the to help solve the problems of your potential clients at feed minimum okay coming in at number eleven i have preaching you africa okay if you have not done this yet you need to stop everything you're doing and get to when you're off auto if you've never heard of before is seen as he approached sauna i say quote in marketing idea kind it could be that you up brand new to the area idea of ragging on your own indian investi investigative stage which is fine somebody for writing of the foods you should have at least completes the foods integration of you off a tough on you should include the following age gender ready liv city and country or even just a country is fine or cd's on country countries a living in a house or an apartment depending on what you know like if you're in the home deco 'em space do you want to address a homeowners for people living apartments and small spaces etc their neighborhoods what is it looked like what i did daily weekly monthly or annual challenges outline their biggest needs the kind of problems they're trying to solve personally and financially the deepest desires and gene for them undefined me what ivy in terms of their biggest fears what are they not spiders going just emotional ones do you get yeah short to unknown to goes any idea of being good and bad habits what gets them excited what is the stuff that annoys them what their passion projects that they're looking on read it is spend most of their time online this the kind of items they spend money on on when they get paid so do we get paid weekly they get paid by a biweekly every two weeks to dick as heat once a month a what type of podcast listened to which so far it on or obscenities is it gives you the opportunity to really on this to get greedy gets understand you organs you redo as well as a potential clients love of detail if you take the time to actually be create in great detail you'll africa right can you really make money blocking the short answer is yes but it is what we saw from hard hard work dedication and a keen understanding of your audience will still be having things i've mentioned before in order to help you with this this let's do a quick recap of all times you should include if you're good is generating income with him pug number one set up an email provider create free content upgrades when the ties a blog post using affiliate marketing or even odds depending on you know that's traffic you get set up update informs create one time offers include comes on time was set up on email sequence of welcoming a sequence at least have enough so over a dunk so create a product and formulate nate you africa as he couldn't see it is so easy to be a bronco enterpreneur for many months or years just publishing seven a booster yeah which out lagoons take it step back and revisit chip lagoons and see how you can incorporate many of these ideas to achieve your production goals one of the secrets to get paid by plugging to grow your email list and they set agreed relationship which subscribers and even your audience this is only available to anyone would like to treat them as a business so that they can generate a fulltime income on nine it all starts with new england rita or audience on these very indepth never so working on you advertise he's actually the first the Ep #353: Stop Trading Time For Money

"You are listening to episode three fifty three on the daily grind. Hi, everybody. And welcome to the daily grind. I'm your host column Morgan and five days a week, I aim to motivate educate and inspire you to live the life of your dreams. I interview some of the most successful and inspiring people along with sharing insight of my own in order for you to not only be successful in what you're doing, but prosper in business and life, the show was for grinders people don't just have dreams, but are willing to lay it all on the line and grind for what they want. Welcome everyone to the daily grind. Hey, everyone. So as you know, I started to rebuild my website using wicks. I got really tired of going through the process of relaying, what I wanted to my web developer, only to having to just put up with what I had because ultimately, I had no idea how to build it myself. I wanted to start with a blank slate and design my website the way I wanted it. That's why I chose wicks. I, I was able to start building my site and publish it for free. I chose over five hundred stunning templates to find the exact fuel, and look that I was looking for I was easily able to change customize and add anything I wanted wherever I wanted. I've actually finished the site for about a couple of days now. I'm just finishing up moving the three hundred plus episodes. I've done in the past over, which, as you can imagine take some time. But what would have taken me months to complete in the past and thousands of dollars. I've completed only a few short hours myself. Plus, everything is automatically optimized for any device desktop or mobile, which for me is super important for my business and not only that you can also add SEO capabilities, which are bedded in wicks, which for me is going to save me a bunch of time and money. What I've learned is that building a website doesn't have to cost thousands. It doesn't have to be a headache and can actually be really easy, and enjoyable with wicks to get started using wicks today and get ten percents off. Go to wicks dot com forward slash podcast. Again, that is wicks w I x dot com forward slash podcast. Happy tuesday. Everyone and welcome back to the show on today's episode we're talking about how to stop trading time for money. And why do you have to stop trading time for money? And what the alternative to? That is now drawing up starting to work. I remember my first job paying me. Seven dollars and fifty cents an hour and at the time, it's all I knew. And because that's all I knew I thought that was a major thing I can make seven dollars and fifty cents every hour, I worked and the reason for this being because that is what's taught to you at a young age, you work. You get paid for your time. And as you get older, you get paid more based on the job and work you do. And so on. This is what is taught to us. So this is what we think, is the norm. Few years ago. I remember hearing people being paid over five hundred dollars an hour and thinking, wow, they must be doctors lawyers must have some crazy skill set that I don't know about how amazing would that be? I wish and for most people listening, this is the case, it's hard to imagine people being paid like that even more. So I heard people being paid to speak on stage for forty thousand dollars for an hour or two and thinking how the hell does that work forty thousand per hour? That is something that I can't comprehend. I'm thinking, what does that come with a gold bar speech and a goal? But, like, how does that even happen as it began to learn more and understand the value, an idea of money, I started to realize that top performers in earners think differently about time and about money? Firstly. They don't value money in the same way as we do. Now, I wanna prefaced as they value money. That's why they make it but they don't value it in the same way we do. It's just a thing that they play with. They don't overvalue or undervalue money. They respect it, but they treat money almost like it's game gaming monopoly, and imminently, you take risks. We try and get ahead. We try and win always we don't sit back and play it safe. Now, sometimes you lose a monopoly, and sometimes you win. And sometimes you win big, but your goal in the game is to get ahead and play big and win and top performers that is their mentality. It's not safe. It's not. I'm comfortable that stay put, it's how do we continue as the get ahead and win this game called life? Time is not to trade. This is what I found out time is the most valuable thing that we have time is cherished by top performers used wisely. Not thrown around for the sake of making money. See top performers don't trade time for money. They trade money for value. I found this to be such an interesting way of looking at it the value. You're delivering what is it worth to the audience? What is it worth to your customers by me helping solve this problem? How much does it save this person or this company? How much will it help them gain because of it? These are the questions they're asking now I get it. Charging high rates can be frightening, but it's also very free need to understand your value to the marketplace, you need to be sold on about that. You, if you don't think you're worth a certain price, you probably aren't. So how can you determine your true value? Will interested. I've created a free worksheet for you. Just go to daily grant podcast dot com sent me an Email asking for it, and I'll send it to you. But this concept is just so simple. You've probably heard of it, but implementing it. Although scary is incredible. I remember two years ago, charging two hundred dollars an hour and thinking that, that was amazing. That's more than most people. Make an hour sending invoices for two hundred bucks an hour to now sending invoices for over five thousand for only a few hours of work, plus see when your perception of yourself changes sodas the perception of the marketplace, you attract high paying clients, a more driven and successful type of person. And in doing so you're able yourself to make it bigger impact and get your clients amazing results. Your focus is on time is on value. How can I provide this person or that company with the best value, ever you start to ask yourself? How can I make this more valuable? Because in doing so you can charge higher rates. You realize that time is not what people and businesses pay for it is value. Whether you're selling to big companies, whether you're solo printer that's doing something small even in even in the time that you sell your product or service. It's not about what you get. It's what does it do for you like we've talked about before people by the best deal, or they buy what they consider as the most valuable, so either you're competing on price or you have to differentiate what you do that separates you from the pack. Now if you can combine those two that's where you can have a gold mine, but that's not always the case that always cannot happen. So for you competing on money. Typically is not the way to go. So what you need to do is clearly, explain to the people, you're working with whether to product or service, that you're delivering what they are going to get because of it, and you this is where you can start to change and ask questions for your. Clients at the end of this, what would an ideal situation be for you? If I deliver this product if I'm helping you with marketing monthly in an ideal world. What is an ideal outcome for you? You can start to get this communication and start to realize that they're not focused on the money. What they're telling you that they're focused on what they're going to be getting someone's happy, if they can afford it to pay ten thousand dollars for something if they know that, that ten thousand dollars is going to make them fifteen twenty etc. It's when people don't understand where the value was coming from when they start questioning went price when they start haggling you down, when they start using language, like I have to get back with you. I need to check with my partner I need to check with my wife. Those are always for them just to get off the phone with you, or if they're sending you Email, people need to know what the value is that you were delivering and successful people understand that making clearly communicate that to the people that they're working with. So I want you to ask yourself. What is your value really think about it? Be honest, write it down. What is your what do you think? Your value is to the person you're helping or the people that you want to help. And if you wanna make morning more money in help more people need to start focusing on creating more value for them. It's not about putting in time. Sometimes an hour of work is more valuable than five hours of work. It's not about that our what you do before. It's what you do after. But it's the delivery that counts and it's the value that you're setting, what really matters if you do that promise you the money will follow again. If you wanna grab that free workbook, which will help you understand your value, not fine. But understand what that is. All you have to do is go to daily grind podcast dot com. Shoot me an Email or get that over to for free so you can start to really truly understand what and how high performers and toppers think before they charged who they help if you like today's episode. Everyone be sure you drive me a comment, share this with your friend, not subscribe to the podcast, please, please, please. That's scribe button. incredibly important to explain to them because I knew I wanted to make a true difference in their life not in my classroom I operated with the intention that any to honestly about this topic I found this very true when opening the discussion with a group of sophomores and telling them listen I want you to ask me that an honor much of what I will share is my expression of universal consciousness confidence and trust Kim hello hello and welcome back to the sex and intimacy series this is so exciting and I gotTa tell you what I afraid to ask your loved ones because I don't want you to go finding the answers out the hard way if you don't have to please ask the questions that you need and know that there is no miss questions that you have so I can get you the answers that you need you are not going to shock me scare me or knock me off my rocker it is the same sation around sex and intimacy and I'm really committed to normalizing this conversation so that we all operate in more elevated and listen gentlemen would be greatly served by this information that said I will be speaking about the topics of sex and intimacy candidly closeness being close with somebody or something so you can have an intimate experience with of intimacy from just like sex too connection and authentic connect orientational culture anything we are going to be covering the four different types of intimacy today and I am really really excited and to really an occasion or with a space if that makes sense and so- intimacy I want to begin by just expanding the concert working night and so I have this chair next to me I have my computer here behind me I've got my bed right behind me and I want you to imagine me so if you want south here with me getting ready for Saturday night yo sister a brother friend whatever just hanging out and relaxing and having this conversation but I just want you to imagine that we're hanging out actually talking about this stuff okay so let's Divan intimacy K. intimacy is I'm grateful for you if this is new in someone just shared it with you I encourage you to share the way they shared with you because this is a conversation that we are causing around the world and it is acted from love and that is very different so you have a lot of intimate relationships all over your life already I'm inviting you to be working together would meet your current needs I'll be straight with you though health and wellness classes Gasden is a serious one if it can't even say it's launches way in this topic it's been so taboo for our whole lives that a lot of us have a lot of unanswered questions and it doesn't have to be that way everybody chip and that's not actually the same as intimate relationship you have intimate relationships all over your life and so it's really great because a lot of times we it set the tone for today I am going to set you up energetically I so I don't want to give you a little visual is I am recording this hundred downloads to the podcast this week we had as of last night we had one hundred seventy downloads on the sex and intimacy series so if you're a returning listener I in Challenor also coloring book here you prefer that right and so we're kind of just jamming out on the topic and having a Rayleigh normal what's the difference too is people saying an intimate relationship and they may be referring to a dating relationship a romantic relations Russian and deep connection which is very different than we've often talked about right or that we believe in and then also something I want to begin to distinct so what have we done to slow that down and ask you to take a deep breath in with me yes feel unloved we think we don't have access to love and that's just simply not true what's what's true is we've feel cut off or discussion do you have to be who you naturally are and do what you would naturally do so that you can have a life this conversation in welcome you and you're going to hear me getting ready you make your a clicks off makeup compactor you may hear me curling my hair or whatever whatever ingratitude right because now you get to see you already have what you want you've been too busy wanting it to actually have it and that's one of my favorite breakers into shift your relationship to the word and feeling of intimacy and begin to allow it in as much as it's actually around you so mrs also flexing your most the whole podcast because it's one of the most important breakthroughs you can have in creating a life that you love and living your heart on weight so I'll just encourage you to go over and head over and listen to that one and so just join me in my space and imagine lounging chairs and while I sit and Chroma hair and maybe you're painting your nails or you're just kind of has their own conversation around six intimacy and some of us are just having it more often than others and more elevated than others elevator sexuality and all of those different things on top of that is also not relate to sex as intimacy or as love because sex is a physical activity and anyone can do it and there doesn't actually have to be feelings involved and so many times that communication basic is physical physical intimacy now I share this lesson last weekend I'm going to start with it I did not learn until I was twenty eight years old at sex so really fucking good to be honest with you I felt validated I sell heard and I felt scene and accepted and it was really in speaking my own truth ought very authentically in very openly and very proudly and Thank you so much for listening and then letting me know you listen because there was a lot of pats on the back commute through in it did not equal love and that was a big old lesson and it really helps me in learning how to express myself sexually as well like to actually explore that's naturally waiting for you to how it in okay so before I dive down that I do have an episode copy do have and it's like one of the first ten episodes in the Dan and so I just WanNa encourage you I love the feedback I got a lot of feedback from last week's episode my sexual history because I shared a lot we're types as existing on a spectrum so physical intimacy can scale from one to ten how physically intimate how deeply I could really drive in two different rabbit holes all day long but we're going to try to keep this contract with four types of intimacy and so the first type of intimacy let's cover because most is like be do have don't wait to feel like you have something in order to do what you WanNa do and be who you WanNa be watchman I g you see my physical space you see where I live and you see might I call it the Zen den right and so I want you to kind of imagine yours intimate relationship with somebody doesn't actually always mean penetration like the actual act of intercourse or sex there's four played there's groping long catching some feelings and someone may go ahead and get their feelings hurt in that and so knowing that physical intimacy there's like I want you to look at all physical and emotional and energetic connection physical intimacy goes along entire gradient or a spectrum or scale if you will right it can connected or is it a shallow connection and it's just a physical activity so that's really kind of as much as I'm even gonNA say about sexual intimacy there can be physical level ten intimacy without there being leveled ten mental emotional or spiritual intimacy me very low physical intimacy which means you're not physically connected attracted in aroused or level ten shit where it's like practically magnetic invite you to share what's up with you a lot of people came to me this week about man what you said really wrong modell and that's great because your awakening so keep awakening okay because there's a lot of exploration available oh actually you know what I'm going to go on about this one is having a sexually intimate relationship with Saudi physically episode while sitting here in front of Mir doing Mir worker you can say but naked in curling my hair and makeup on as I prepare for my son and that's what's so beautiful because if you can accept that you're going to be able to live your truth authentically as well you're not going to be so damn afraid to share what's up with you and then you can look at your impact on people's lives as well so this is a very well rounded conversation and so back to the physical intimate partner we're looking at all types and this is you having boundaries and conditions of satisfaction in expectations and being at choice about who you in not really quickly is it's just one of four so you can have level ten physical connection with somebody and that doesn't mean that they are other people's truths came forward or people simply just acknowledged me like I see you I feel you I hear you love You I am you and we all are one we all are one is not shared between the two people in the interaction or three or four or however many and so that being said like someone may be mistaken and some will make your life partner it can be really great and if you know it and see it for what it is you can access it for what it is I have had friends like and the reason we're going to cut to the chase here the reason I teaching you about all four is so that you can live a conscious lifestyle when choosing a life easy enough is friends with benefits is what we've called them but when you look at the actual connection you can explore your sexuality with somebody and it doesn't mean you're in can't keep your hands off each other and obviously know the Difference Between Lust and love right because there can be physical intimacy get this one here's where we're going to begin to break these apart how close of a person that or how close this person will be in your life in your inner circle and how much impacted influence they get to have on your life right love to invite you to skip over to the eleven or twelve minute mark where the intro ends I am including the intro if you are a new listener this is the first episode there's hugging just physical touch there's the staring like being able to stare into someone's eyes is a physical activity and eight an actual relationship with them that is stretching and expanding you now let's pause there let's not be in mature about this this isn't be Goglia AC- with people so is this person are you physically intimate are you physically attracted is there a level tenant Tennessee you can look across the other three and then decide Gobi silly stupid irresponsible unsafe unhygienic in all of those things ray I don't want it to get twisted I don't want it to get sideways about sex before me harassed with and how because you know a hundred percent of the quality of your life is based on your conversations and relationships in life and so who you involved the ourselves with is those relationships in conversations and so I encourage you to check the market check the boxes on these four different types of okay I'm already having so much fun you guys the hype that has been coming around this exit intimacy series has been so much fun to live and original whatever your beliefs are support your beliefs and I'm all about doing the line for you boo but I'm talking about was the line for me as said in the last episode the episode is I'm given invitation is knowing that not everybody is the same that's the whole point right so if it's not your belief system I ain't trying to convince you of nothing like I got and so if this is not for you it's not for you if it is welcome people your mouth people were in flow that's all good and if it's not for you oh mentally or intellectually connected are you as somebody this is where you find your business partners right if you're intellectually connected with somebody dating one on one as well it's really gonNA open up your world and your mind and what's available to you being at choice about your life all right and so the next one we went through mentos everybody loves a little bit different Okay I'm I'm elise bet there are you guys we're GONNA move into mental mental intimate but we can't necessarily tell why that's why like someone you initially me that you're not physically actually cool and you kinda like friends on them you're going to feel like you've compromised your own standards which I can wanting to recommend one of my other episodes and I'm just going to do it right now which is called dating does somebody sometimes we make a mistake of thinking we're in love with somebody because we are attracted to them for some reason you guys have a lot of the same goals you have a lot of the same value systems when it comes to like a work energy or projects or your you had the same types of I heard the term Sabio sexual which means a person who is sexually aroused by intelligence right or sexually attracted to intelligence and man when I heard that one I don't know the number of it but dating one one is all about maintaining conditions of satisfaction having boundaries in standards again maintained out some type of understanding I was like Oh man this is another one if you only have the intellectual attraction but you their path and grows period and growth rates so open your heart open your mind and welcome in the different concepts of the way people live so that number one you can ships at later they're like Oh this isn't GonNa work because you haven't checked all four boxes right chuckle four boxes and not as a lasting sustainable connect Z. so I love this concept because I just discovered the term sapio sexual not the it was in twenty nineteen this year oh I talked about mental and it's about being having mental connection and again this lands on a scale gradient a spectrum it's how creative energies that really goes together and speaking of creative energies I'm Gonna go ahead and flow right into the next type of intimacy which is emotional intimacy tonight you continue to grow together but if you're missing one of these four if you're missing two of these four you're only hitting one mark eventually on the eighth pillars of empowerment is that if you know yourself if you master your self you master don't have the physical attraction you don't have to go like love and up on everybody who you're attracted to and if you have an energetic connection expand their consciousness in and so I am like fully committed to all of this and so if you're loving this conversation head over to the emotional intelligence series so you can begin chilly but then you get to meet more new show you there in legends and they're brilliant and you're like oh you sexy church who explore your own mind and heart and to you can practice that acceptance that if you are calling yourself any type of religious and you accept people well let's accept that them and really being at choice about who end up in relationship with and that's not just romantic relationship that is friendship that is your religion sanders signs because many of our emotions actions reactions life views and approaches are dictated by the Zodiac signs and numerous at your birth chart printed for you there are a lot of self study types of things that if you spent time meeting yourself emotionally good Lord your release Asian ships thrive because then you're seeing relationships that are not serving you is emotional intelligence sewin- Hannity because if you can understand your light side of you and the dark side of you and you can accept it all except yourself so so this is a great at least for maybe Casey's this is a great spot to look at your Zodiac sign and begin to understand the divine feminine in me and I have surrendered the wounded masculine any and I have harnessed the like when you're born where you're born all sorts of different cycles and patterns and that is a whole another episode which I would need another professional to help me explain to you grow in meat yourself emotionally there's too much avoiding distracting that it goes on in our day and age because we are in the age of information on art so I am incredibly committed to you guys knowing yourself level ten emotionally because when you can create emotional connection with other chips with your parents Lucile just family in general your work relationships it's about what you're willing to tolerate and not tolerate so yes go ahead and check out you know it always has an impact on the world and life but I gotTa Tell Ya you not knowing yourself has however we are shifting into the that age raking where everyone is really diving in on themselves because in my concept of self mastery which I do talk about in Njoya Bliss are you guys and so the last one the last type of intimacy that we are going to cover is spiritual we you develop this new level of passion you develop this new level of compassion because you understand what it needs needs to be humid and that we're all just humans people doing people things doing our best and sometimes our best connecting with you is so authentic it's so intimate right and so let's go back to the spiritual connection this isn't about religion and those spiritual development has gone hand in hand I feel so lead that I don't like intimacy and love this concept and I've been growing this concept per year now like knows first diving into my spirituality and important you guys like stopped calling myself a coach and I started calling myself in emotional intelligence expert because that's genuinely what I feel like and it's genuinely what I want to help people I follow it if I get a ping of inspiration I follow I write it down I decided on my drive from Huntington Beach Down here your God forgives you and if it's a fear it's not God if it's confusing it's not God gin and you follow that and you kind of obey that and go in that flow spiritual doesn't exactly exist in they give impact on the world and so continuing to grow and live a conscious lifestyle is you living out loud is you unleashing your I wanna say those two together because they go hand in hand I am completely nuts not actually completely I'm still learning I am tapped in you but the emotional intelligence if you understand in do a little bit of self study you can look into your human design you can look into your Zodiac signs you can I wanna say I wanted to say that I don't plan my day but that's not true but I follow the intuition I listened that if my heart tells me something I we are all talking about infinite love and acceptance then your God accepts you any man made constructs now we certainly tried to put this construct right we tried to explain spirit your self a lot of people are listening to this about how to crack the code on how to find their their person you here's your shining newer radiant and you realize how important like you get to become one of your number one if it's not love it's not God and it's all the same and so I invite you again for those of you who've been listening to the podcast who eat

EP16 - It is all BS

"Hey guys welcome to the fast growth podcast episode number sixteen and this is my turn attempt today to do the podcast all the other <hes> recordings somehow didn't get through <hes> i recorded thirty minutes podcast today on the way from the city and sub out <unk> pressed the record but until i didn't actually come through this is my third attempt taking time something as well so hopefully this season episode vicente ready and it's ready and i could actually boasted ride saw <hes> thirty tempt so but i wanna make sure i get it done today as well so it's episode number sixteen today hope he goes doing well. Whichever part of the world you live in and enjoying the weather either because in this part of the world where we live in called melbourne has been frigging crazy crazy and hot authority cold rarely really really cold. We've been having a really cold weather from last couple of days. <hes> pretty much fucked up right so <hes> hope you guys enjoying wherever you are ah if you are in the other part of the world in the u._s. In some other part of the world weather's been pretty good. I've seen it. I've spoken to a few friends day and it's really cool in this part of the world. It's not that could but today really want to speak to you. Guys <hes> something very important. Something important called the focus right as we all all know that wherever our focus goes the nudged floors ryan is very common. We know that i must be focusing opening on the right thing and today it's really important to chat about what happens and why we sort of get distracted. Why live we not focusing on the right thing. Why is that when we know that certain things need to happen why we distract ourselves and start moving toward something which is not even relevant right so let's talk about this. One is really important. You must know that everything we do in our business to make it successful or anything we do in a life to make life successful or take it to the next level it all based on the b._s. Everything is based on the b. S. which is a belief system relied whatever the belief belief system. We might have right to give you an example of this b._s. Some of the b._s. says i must have a university degrade to get a job. I must have nurul linguistic programming certification to coach anybody. I must have a speaking thank skills before. I stand up on stage and talk right. These are the means that the belief system we acquired in our world to think that this is what we need said for example all the people we work with all the people we have in our business. They all want to run a run of say would run a business. They all want to make money based on the skillset right. They all want to sell programs. They all want to sell this over says they all want to sell the packages to make money means that they have a quantum and skill set along with the time right and now they want to sell that skill set to make money but what happens is because of these bs yes but he had distracted distraction happens. They believe that they now because they have the skill set knowledge all they need certain other things means that they must learn how to speak in public so they go in a choir and spend time learning skills at the don't get me wrong doc. You need that skill said but only when you in sudden level in your business not today if you are struggling to make ends ends meeting your business you do not need those skill set. So what is the number one skill said you must have what are the number one thing you must be focusing focusing on so the number one thing you must be focusing on today if you are starting out and he would have billiard businesses cold marketing you must be working king on marketing because marketing is that channel which is going to bring people into the business. Everything else doesn't automatically edited a seat. Most of us come from this background where we either for somebody else or we the required skills acquired we work for somebody else. Means that <hes> you perform those certain duties you perform. Those skills had working for somebody else because you work for somebody else. You started to believe that this <hes> delivery. He is the most important picture on because we worked for somebody because we got paid for that right and because of that. It's really weird that when we start our business we you start to think that it is still the most important thing we believe that that delivery means that performing the work. It's still still the most important thing and they seize way. Most people get their own. I mean get it wrong. Why is that see. You can only perform the work. You can only deliver the work when you have a client. Exclude tone have have a client that has nothing to deliver. Why venue look for somebody else when you were doing the delivery that that getting the client problem was solved by the people who employed you and you never had that problem before today. If you wanna be successful in your business the number one thing you must be working on is reporting a marketing system together. Which give you qualified leads for you to work on them to get it. Delivered riots at delivery system only works when you have a marketing system which is working so the number one focus should be working on the market system holiday die into stand this concept see when we started out software company a while ago and coming from a delivery background. I thought you know i'll make the best software in the world. People will come and i made this mistake many many times. I've taught hard the making the best software making the best website making the best product <hes> would bring the clients and my belief was <hes> build the best thing and they will come and nobody came our bill the best thing in the world and nobody came the reason for that was i was markets. Gets best kept secret. Nobody knew me nobody near me. Nobody know what i did not know what i was doing and i build the best thing in the world old but i didn't actually tell anybody and i didn't actually know how to tell anybody because of that. I've failed in many startups to this is the mistake we all make so. That's why i said we must be focusing on the right thing if he don't focus on the right thing. You probably believe that today ape. You need to have certain things for certain things to happen in your life giving example what happened today right. I was standing at a seven eleven. I go in next i to me and i was just getting coffee at seven game next to me and said i'm trying to put this <hes> a boat together. Notice put together. She has to have a whiteboard and and she was writing something on that and she said i'm trying to put together a masking a dollar klein from people what i'm just going to be sitting out seven eleven on asking for dollar coins. So why are you asking indoor quote from people she looked pretty fine like the didn't look like one of those people who need money she said yeah. I'm collecting money at the moment because i need thirty seven dollars. That's cool. That's good and then. I did nas in the why she needed but she said to me. I need thirty seven dollars that said what are you writing on this whiteboard right and she said i'm writing down. If you have a spare spare change if you have a dollar give it to me that all right. That's what i'm looking for. I said why don't you just wanted <hes> pity seven dollars because that's what looking for she said no. I believe people. I'm not gonna give me thirty seven dollars. I said did you try. She said no but i believe i just need to ask for dollar so this is the b._s. We all have we believe leave that we need to go through certain path seven process for certain things to happen means that you must have to acquire skills at before he becomes something ryan. It's just all b._s. Everything is abuse so my question to you is what are your bs. What do you think that something must have to happen for you to get something means that for you to save ten thousand dollars <hes> <hes> you must only be saving or five dollars a week rawhide so something are there are you don't need to save in this age because is to you too young to save right. Are you need to go out and get a graduate diploma or degree to get a job in accounting or anything right so so these are the things we come up with and we create a rules around it all these things. Are i call it a b._s. With the belief system is come from our family and background all these stuff. You know that it's all come from that so i wanna give you something else today ride to really interesting seat the reason i'm talking about. This focus stuff is his. I'm very very focused. <hes> two herds wanting these days. I'm really interested in learning business skills really interest i in learning business skills. Everything else is around that but i'm really good learning towards business thing. This is what we teach on programs. This is what we help. People with storm really interested if somebody's doing something i love to listen right. If somebody's running an event out listen so i went to i'm australia's top speaking beating place speaking. I wouldn't say the name of the company. Those are the people that each speaker how become the best speaker right they should do this is what the businesses bain few different countries and they run in this country and they're pretty famous right really famous so there was about forty fifty people in the room who were who wanted to listen and i was one of them as well so sitting at the back just to see and and the guy who taught today was one of the best guy was really good crafted percentation really good speaking skills israeli good face expression really good hand gestures like anything mitchell was you could say he actually gone on and done the work. Which was we say puree to practically example right. Some people think that's you know we do this. Do we do that. We must do this as a speaker but he actually we did it so he was really velcro after what he didn't do right at the end which i was really interested to see that he didn't actually know how to lose lose it how to sell it how to make people <hes> transformed from an external to a client really bad at it right so see. This is one thing which are relaxed. Some people think that they need to be crafting. A stage skills that need to be really good at that so he was the the best he was really good at it but he didn't know how to how to move people from <hes> as an external to a client and pink out of fifty only one or two signed up for the next level and that was it really interesting interesting to see that why is that and i go back into because this. This is what we teach right. I've gone back and looked at my way of looking at it and said hang on this guys. Were really good record really really really good. If i have to give him <hes> in the number ten i would give ten outta ten as a speaker really good speaker but really bad glows around the business guy really bad. He's really good employees but really bad. <hes> businessperson wise a bad businessperson wide. Why do i say they see this is a mistake. Most people make make somebody going acquired the degree from them go and spend time become the best speaker but they don't acquire the skill set to become the best business owner mon- hope hope you get the point right so acquiring those skill set which you believe you might need it. Today might not be relevant might not be relevant greg. This is really bond. You only spend time only spend time learning that skill set which i believe is learned the systems. He's learning the business side of stuff and how to take your business to the next level. Not just think that you might need it. You'll take those skills you learn learn those skills but only when when you like fata heading the business now right now i believe the biggest mistake that person made his he was just just way too far ahead in the journey really far ahead in the journey liked lot people who are sitting in the room just unrelated because he was so in a polished he was the best he was really polished. People who sitting outside they didn't believe that this mistake he taught really well. He taught really really well. He was teaching forty much morning till the often on he was teaching rights. They seize wanting rich. You never forget in your business if you're one of those people who run events who actually go out and stand up and speak in front of the people this is one thing you must do one thing you must do and the one thing you must never do firstly wanting you never ever ever do if you standing on a stage and selling something wanting you never do is that one thing is you will or you never ever ever ever ever each year. Never teach because a few each. They'll be your best friends. People who are listening. They'll be your best friends but never buy from you. Why if you aren't beaching today you'll understand. This people love you for that. They come and shake hands and saying best thing ever done and you who are really good at it but they will never buy from you. So what do you should do instead of that. What can you do instead of not teaching right so the only thing you should be doing in that hoffa workshop or one day workshop or to our workshop where you selling something or you're selling telling them the next program. You must be building their belief. You must be building their belief. See the reason people are not buying from you today. Sedates not because <hes> you know. They don't know what you're teaching. The reason people are not buying from you today is because they don't believe that you can solve their problem. They don't have this belief for them to buy from. You must believe that you can solve the problem see. It's everything is <hes> b._s. Everything is everything is a belief system right the the only thing you do in that half workshop or one day workshop or to our workshop way you selling the next step off your business. You must build a belief. This is the one thing that guy didn't do it today at two one thing he didn't do it today because bieber didn't believe that they can do who the way he's doing it because he was way too far heading the journey and he didn't show in being tired presentation but he was is really bad at it to begin with so there was a huge disconnect and you don't want to have this disconnecting your business ryan. You wanna be relatable label when you showed the steps to somebody that this is what you must do. They must feel that if they follow the steps they'll be able to get the results to one you show them right so they must have believed that they must believe in you and they must believe that if they take on the a journey you're showing them at the end of the journey. They will get the same results if they don't believe in that they will never buy from you. This is the biggest secret ever people who are selling on stage and did the bestseller the only thing they do is they build a belief so so this is the biggest thing right guys icon stress enough. Don't each be blamed those half day workshops. Go out and build a belief and do everything what you need to do to make sure that it's a building the belief you off this question again and again if i put this slide if i put this content what this will do to the clients or the people who listening will that build a belief or will do something else for that reason awesome if you have a slide if you have a presentation deck which is just teaching something you take that out and make sure you build a ride so hope this was used for on our super exotic. This is something leaving breed these days. I do this for twenty four seven. I watch people doing it. I see people making mistakes steaks and i see an executing totally different way exactly what i talked about today and i get the results not only me all the people in the room all the people in mind. Would they follow these steps in to get the results of cloud and do the work but don't focus on something today which you might. I needed ten years. Don go and do hundred businessmen street when you don't have the business yet ryan hope. This makes sense hope you'd like it. <hes> as overexcited pink managed to complete this for sake of complete today because there was a third time i did it. Enjoy a night have fun. I'll speak to you tomorrow.

We don't have to have one. Other than my. My dogs improving. People have asked about the dog update it's amazing atomic north topic out and get a lot of action talk about your dogs daughter and telling you dogs and daughters and Yet the dog is getting better improving in in her behavior sham release you just puppy. The worst thing is is I do this whole? She's a pain in the butt she's crazy and the dog people come over like lump let me take and all of a sudden she does what she normally does. Well, this is normal I'm like you're kidding me this is normal I would expect them to go. Yeah, she's kind of. Ally and So she's not. So we're going to keep her are thought you were going to see people come over who know how to deal with. chills. Now she's she's getting a little bit better so. And then I, love people say, well, that's what that's the doodle inner. That's the doodle in her. That's why she's all wound up. Well, that's the doodle inner I'm like, okay. Well, how about we get a yellow dog? Slow yellow wouldn't it be the? Huddle COMMITTED PUTS IT huddle. I had speaking of dogs and daughters had a conversation the other day with my daughter Cara who's out in Denver and she was at a friend's house and. Her friend says yells from the back. Hey, we want to be on the PODCAST. And? I don't know if they're listeners. You can be on the podcast if you tell me what the last episode was about as. None of. Brilliant. Into because you know you've got to call their bluff have to everybody wants to be on. That question. So true. So True Hey, if you're a sales pro and again we know you are because you're a loyal listener to the advanced selling podcasts and you're wondering what does the coming year look like and what does the back of twenty twenty look like and you WanNa make sure you are locked and loaded for success and we invite you to become in a ESPN insider. ESPN CIDERS A group coaching program that meets monthly where we coach on relevant topics that are going to help you grow your business and your income. The tuition is forty seven dollars a month, or you can join for a whole year and save even more money. Go to advance selling podcast, dot com slash insider for details. There's also a video that walked you through why were doing it what's in it for you? In addition to that, we've got some videos from current members will tell you why they think you should spend the money to become insider that's selling podcast dot com slash insider. We would love to have you be a member of that group. Okay, topic topic today yeah. We last week we spent a little bit of time on embracing this world. That we're in, we're not even going to call it the the blank blank were in this in this world, and the world is as it is even if it's not the way we want it to be it is what it is the worst thing ever but that's fact here, and so what we thought we'd do today is what causes our resistance to change, and then what can we do about those those things that get in the way of accepting and kind of going with the flow and leading through all this change and so start with what causes some of this resistance, and then get some tactics like it. I've got a couple you've got to do. Three things that I think caused the problem I've only got one thing so far maybe something else will pop in my head as we talk about what to do. So can I see why don't you go first the what causes us to hang onto things? I. Wrote Down. The word definer and I don't think that's a word that it is now and these things are definers. They define who we are. They define how we are. They define our self image they define what other people think about us all the things that we've hung onto in the past define us, and if I'm going to change any of that I, run the risk of losing myself of WHO I am my core, who I believe should be at my core exhibits who I've been and I think that's a really really important. Thing to examine yourself is to say I've kind of been defined this way and it can be all sorts of ways you know it could be anything in sales could be always a great relationship guy or Gal whatever yeah and I'm like, okay that defines me on face to face I'm a people person you know a closer I'm a and whatever you're defined by that and we tell you a different way like strips you of your image strips. You've who you are all of a sudden people link that they wanNA hang onto it. So you got to figure out what your definers are I, think in this in this. Examination, yeah I've got the same thing. I've got it written out here is just identity. Who are you there? There's there's the two forms of that. I believe there's the who we think we are yeah and then there's the true. So it's like the false sell for the role self is all those things that happened in the market and I'm a NFL official and I'm a Tall Person I. This color and I'm this. Way With people. Yeah. Good closer. I'm good and bad at this and good at the Ad, and we identify with all this collection of stuff and the fact is that we are none of that deep down. Right we are not our skin color. We are not our income level. We are not those things those things we've allowed to them to find us and. Then we go to change and we say well, wait a minute but that's not me. Yes and I can't possibly take one hundred, thousand dollar annual pay cut to go in this different direction because that's I'm a two, hundred, thousand dollars a year person I'm not I'm not gonNA take one hundred, thousand pay even if the potential is five, hundred, thousand the next year. We get so defined and identified with our traits, attributes and our pass. And there's so much there about just uninstall saving ourselves and believe me this is not something I've mastered at all terrain progress but the idea of Unin slaving yourselves our selves from what we think we are young we really are. At our core. Everybody it's right. Listening has this going on and who where do you go for? I mean you probably advanced what are you going to go to your pastor and asked that? You're not going to go to your shrink as your shrink wants talk about how you were brought up and childhood is you can't go to your spouse can say what? We all know that we are I think Saad, Guru, who is one of my favorite yogis. Favorite follow this Ad Instagram. Yeah. He says, all suffering comes from the world that disappoints we want it to be a certain way. It's not a certain way was Brian Neal. It'd be a certain way and he's not bill caskey and he's not our spouse and they're not all suffering comes from that. So the only way to not suffer is have no expectation that the world's going to correct correct. So true isn't it we want everyone to do certain things, but we wanted to do that certain things the way to be. Right so interesting here at my second one is pretty straightforward and I found to be really true. It takes effort to change its work. It takes almost no work to stay the same because I know what I'm doing. I've got to nurture the ball's rolling down the hill soon as the ball stops, Roland gotta go up the hill push it I gotta do. Something and it's hard and I gotta sweat and I gotTA use muscles at used before and I think people just like to say you know I always we joke like talking about exercise like it's real easy to go for a walk. That's you walking is very easy for most people. It's easier to sit there. It's easier just to stay on the couch for another hour. Easier that makes sense because I got her ardy on the couch. I'M NOT GONNA move. It's easy for me to stay seated in this chair takes a leopard, get up and go out and go on the trail for a walk. So you gotTa get past that first step I've always my. I always say put your shoes on. As you gonNA work out these, put your shoes on k. your shoes are on now. Now what now? Maybe we'll go for a while so That's good. That's good. That's those triggering trips ideas. I think a little bit of cause for our resistance to change is, is the idea of I'm just not enough. Yeah. I'm just not and I know that you know we always laugh at the whole Stuart. Smalley and Saturday night live I'm not good enough doggone I'm smart enough. But you know there was a lot of truth to that, and the truth comes from the opposite of those things that Stewart was trying to get across, which is I'm not enough. I'm just and I hear this a lot from people you know in some of my programs we talk about this feeling that is so deep that we don't ever want to access it and talk about it. Yes. It comes from childhood growing up from traumatic situations and I'm not talking about sexual or physical trauma just trauma just. Being a person who doesn't know what the hell they're doing in a world that everybody thinks they do and they get you get punished by it all that. But I think there's also the corollary to that which is I'm not enough and I'm not going to be able to handle it. So I'm not going to be up for the task right to change getting off the couch doing a youtube video I'm not going to be able to do that and we all know that's just a BS story that we tell ourselves it just is it And I think sometimes I see a lot of people even in social media you kind of in the instagram influence world when they talk about this, the the fixes to say you are enough well you to go deeper than that. You can't just say no bill you are enough. It's gotta you gotTa examine where those feelings are coming from to pull. them up and try to make them better. Yeah. Saying you are enough to somebody who doesn't think enough. It's worse exactly getting damn not no, I'm not I'm not. I'm not enough. Yeah you are. No. I'm not lose friends over totally dog in the trailer down by the room Gosh the last one I have here in the cause is just the. I think this is interesting because this is something that is innate Mrs Biology. This is biological wiring. We are wired to stay alive and reproduce all human species all plants, all animals job was in in the mix you can't get out of it. It's part of the deal. The way that one of the ways humans survive is to be selfish. That's one of our mechanisms that we use were evolved. So sometimes selfishness you know it's like well, don't be so selfish. Well, all of us have selfishness because if you weren't selfish ever watched, you know a litter of pigs or dogs eat. They're not like where you go ahead and take a no you Susan I've here you can have this tiddle or whatever. Those are, what whatever, till's the dot on the top of an I. Don't know what to say. They're trying to keep it PG so I go to the pharmacy today package of titled. Migra thrown out of my mask. The top of the I, right? The top of. The letter. Oh. I meant to say teat I'm trying to keep it clean. But he's not I mean. The. Male. Times you're watching a show I think we've talked about this. Does the person say. This. Bitch is from Arkansas. And We heard back to. All boys all boys stop. All Boys. Stop eighth grade. That's true. Mentally emotionally we do. So let's. Say. I've got one more, but I'll save. I'll say that let's go to the now what? Now, what I've got a couple of here. Number One, this is an action you can take that. I really think is important and I'm not saying this because we want you to invest in yourself in the insider program but whatever you do spend some money on yourself. Yes and not just massage parlor or at the gentleman's bar. I'm are gentleman's Club I'm talking about investing in your own. Wellness excellence it could be a coach that you get it. Could you know it's not a book though it's it's not yet. It's not investing in another podcast. It's you've got to really say I'm going to invest in a coach or in a program or in a workshop or in a live event or something that's going to cause me to leave my current world behind in, go expose myself to a new world. A lot of people in the insiders say it's it's a new world and as we stay in the old world protected with fences and gates and and the Moat, and we don't enter a new world by investing in ourselves we get sucked into that current current. Yes, and it is a current. It's the current of the average and we're trying to get out of the current of the average in the way we do it as investment ourselves for sure. And there's something about the exchange of money in the action of doing something like you said, even beyond pass a book or listening to podcast that I think it tells the world and tells your God and Higher Power whatever else that? Hey, I'm in. Doing something I wrote down one and I this is just the one thing I'm gonNA leave with. Is I wrote down. Let yourself be moved. Let yourself be moved because I think sometimes we try to fight through this resistance too heavy but trying to battle through it. And it hasn't worked for me personally allowed. You're not try to fight my way out of it. It's and it just and I've learned it's been really hard. I just came through a period like this right just had like, let it be for a minute One of my guys I study with he said, sometimes when you're knocked down, you stay down I just sit there and learn to be in the pain and the hurt being that sort of thing can make you stronger coming out. Correct. So that's been what I've been working on his let be moved. They just came out of a kind of I told you of a messy like ca just feeling kind of withdrawing. I gotta go out and talk and meet and like I'm just going to be here for a minute and just withdrawn him and guess what I just I can feel it moving out of it. I just let myself be that way and ideas come to you in come to me in those times that if we're rushing about, we don't have our brains don't have doesn't have time to brainstorm brains does have time to do that so I think that's really true. So and that kind of gets back to one of my thing is just get your vision back just get it get start to re imagine and I know that terms getting old too. But starting to think about what does my future look like? Okay the future that I had as of January first of this year probably not going to happen now but let's let's redefine what the future looks like. So get your vision back and get your boots back on and go out and invest in yourself shed those emotional stuff and I think you'll find that this can be a unique opportunity for him into that good one. All right. So once again, if you have not joined us in the insider program or just want to know more about it, you can go to advance selling podcast dot com slash insider. I know we talk about it a lot. It really is something that we feel will benefit you over the next year as you seek to navigate all the craziness that is our sales world. So we would like to have you in their twenty seven dollars a month pretty nominal, and we'll see you next week at work by.
