"Seth Wayne has our forecast remaining quite stop the across much of western Washington. Keep in mind that we are dealing with that rain snow mix. It's quite slippery sloppy out there with high temperatures in the upper thirties to about forty likely going for about an inch or two of snow in some of our outlying areas. In the meantime, we're going cloudy at times tonight. We're also looking at a quiet one tomorrow and forecasting a mostly cloudy one even with the chance of wintry weather back again for the end of the week. I'm Seth Wayne in the KOMO weather center, and you can see very graphically all the different conditions this morning. If you check out the KOMO weather radar at KOMO news. Dot com slash weather, light, rain and sprinkles all the way from Russia halos and Centralia up through Olympia parts of the Tacoma area, and at times in the Seattle and Renton areas rain, but it's right on the line between that and snow, and it's very snowy on the east side communities, and especially up into Snohomish and Skagit counties this morning. Thirty six degrees at seatac airport thirty-three right now at Boeing field, and even as the snow turns to rain across much of the region communities to the north continue to get hammered. Komo's Corwin Hake reports from one of those very snowy locations, Greg. It is still snowing here in the hilly parts of the Bothell Kirkland area. I'm on top of the hill where accumulations from last week too today. Well over a foot and farther north even more. So Justin Evans is with public works in the city of lake Stevens. He says his road crews continue racing to keep up with the winter weather. Yeah, it's coming in waves. And that's why we've been on trying to keep on. Top of it. Because if we don't go constantly around the clock, then it builds up, and we'd get behind today was a surprise for lots of people myself included over the past several days. It's been stressful at times navigating the hilly streets, but today impossible even to reach those silly streets. Deep snow on top of ice have flat out stranded me in my own driveway. Live in Kirkland Corwin Hake. Komo news. Like, a trooper he's still working more flight delays and cancellations at seatac airport. If you're heading out there to take a flight or meet somebody this comes after more than five hundred flights were canceled yesterday. Private contractors came in to help remove snow from the runways, and once the snow really starts to melt and that could start happening this afternoon. It needs to go somewhere. People all over the region are being urged to start clearing storm drains of any ice or snow or any leftover leaves to help prevent localized flooding. The latest round of snow also causing trash to pile up..

"And the weather Seth Wayne of the KOMO forecast. Team is here. Good morning. Who's ready for more snow? I know we are dealing with this snow, and it continues to come our direction likely late Friday afternoon and into Saturday. We'll show kinda watching those computer models, but they're pretty much all agreeing that it looks like it could affect Puget Sound three to six inches of snow including the Seattle metro and some spots even higher than that. So we'll certainly keep you posted on that. In the meantime, today, clear and cold bone chilling cold down to seven eight degrees in spots of Marysville in Arlington, but again, we're all slowly warming up again, use the term loosely. Four thirty five degrees. I just checked Arlington. It's now four there. It's unbelievable. I mean, this this real cold batch of air is in place when you factor that in and more coming in from VCE MandA, then we're looking at an area of low pressure from the Gulf of Alaska, you combine the two. I mean, it would be really hard to not get the snow that we're anticipating. All right. Keep us posted. We'll do JBL right now. Sunshine and sixteen in Olympia. It's fifteen here in downtown, Seattle, sunshine and Twenty-three. Stay connected. Stay informed. Komo news. Powered by triple a roadside assistance. Forty-seven? "Seth Wayne from the KOMO forecast here. A Thursday gone. Planty breezy across much of the region today series assistance systems coming on through. I won today's going to us plentiful amounts of what weather at times again hit and miss when it comes to the rain later tonight on into tomorrow daytime highs from the low fifties through Friday generally in the mid forties as snow levels dropped by the beginning of next week. I'm Seth Wayne in the KOMO weather center from shoreline north toward mount Vernon a little bit of a rain shadow at the moment, but shoreline southbound over much of the rest of western Washington, getting showers and some occasional heavier bursts of rain and right now in downtown Seattle. It's forty seven degrees. The heavy winds and rough seas could slow you down today. If you plan to write a ferry he's gusty winds likely to cause delays in some rough rides for people crossing the ferries north of Seattle. There could be delays out of Mukilteo and a quarter in the port Townsend run the ferry run. There could actually be suspended at times today if those winds get stronger than the ferry services warning us. To warn you that that could happen. Also ferries may not be running fully loaded today that helps balance the boats when the Caesar high also not just on the water. We could have some trouble stormy weather is causing the avalanche danger in the back country to go way up. Now, this is because of our yoyoing snow level going away up after we got a bunch of snow, and then we get some rain on top of the stone that it comes crashing back down adding snow on top of some more, unstable snow. So the bottom line stay in the inbounds areas of those skier. If you're going over the mountains, it is raining hard over Snoqualmie pass. But there were no tire restrictions as thirty four degrees. There's no snow on the roadway. Stevens pass same kind.

We just opened up Europe few farmers you're not going to be too angry with Trump. I can tell you but there was no deal reached with the European Union just an. Agreement to start negotiating and temporarily halt the trade war ABC's Andy Field joins us on the KOMO Newsline with the latest on this. And that might make Wall Street happy Andy but how did that play. With the farmers So far not great Neal he says you're. Not going to be, with Trump but a lot of them are in fact. Many of them are Republicans from harm states who are telling the president you're killing our farmers here with business this this whole European Union agreement which is basically a handshake saying we're going. To try to buy more soybeans from you There, is no such thing as a European Union buying anything They might set. Prices for, individual countries to buy stuff but, countries like, France for example this goes against their trade policies trade policy his we buy our. Own farm products are not buying them, from the United States so a lot of this has promised but. It's really hard to see how the president's, going to deliver, and then on the flip side of, that we have China which is imposed these sanctions on soybeans poor products on even Bourbon from Kentucky to hit it Mitch McConnell's, home state all of this is targeted at red states that President Trump won. Because, the Chinese are saying we're gonna hit you where it hurts Mr President when when it comes to election day right so you bring up the point. The politics of this and look those farmers bust their backsides to not only try to feed their families but feed the world so everybody wishing the best. For them but the politics of this is I. Think very. Intriguing when you look at new poll numbers from some of these states. Now I think there are thirty three out of ninety, nine counties in Iowa. That twice, voted for Barack Obama and last, time out, voted for Donald Trump it would be very easy for them to go back for. These midterms who advise the president on, his policy from the political standpoint before he engaged in do we. Know that is a very good question I, don't I don't, know the answer that it doesn't seem, that the president really Listens too much advice at all when it comes to doing these things because. Very often he'll make a decision or he'll tweet these things out in the White House his staff kind of scrambles to provide a justification for it when, it usually is supposed to be the other way. Around but. Something had to happen because last week the European Commission was a foe Well again that's wide bar heads are spinning I mean a. Fake news, says I'm crazy or I'm out of control by by calling you know we're gonna go to war. By calling, Kim Jong on Little. Rock man and look now we're we're good friends well at the time That, was fairly outrageous for a president? To make that comment and it's yet to be seen.
