It's quite slippery sloppy out there with high temperatures in the upper thirties to about forty likely going for about an inch or two of snow in some of our outlying areas. In the meantime, we're going cloudy at times tonight. We're also looking at a quiet one tomorrow and forecasting a mostly cloudy one even with the chance of wintry weather back again for the end of the week. I'm Seth Wayne in the KOMO weather center, and you can see very graphically all the different conditions this morning. If you check out the KOMO weather radar at KOMO news. Dot com slash weather, light, rain and sprinkles all the way from Russia halos and Centralia up through Olympia parts of the Tacoma area, and at times in the Seattle and Renton areas rain, but it's right on the line between that and snow, and it's very snowy on the east side communities, and especially up into Snohomish and Skagit counties this morning. Thirty six degrees at seatac airport thirty-three right now at Boeing field, and even as the snow turns to rain across much of the region communities to the north continue to get hammered. I'm Seth Wayne in the KOMO weather center showers, especially up into the cascade area on the east side from Redmond north all the way up into Marysville in Arlington, some of the rain this morning is fairly intense going over highway two it's forty nine degrees in downtown Seattle. Komo news time six thirty six today. I five new gates will open that's tech airport. You're gonna see new dining areas retail shops, art, work, even massive double decker windows that really let in a lot of natural light behind the scenes what you're not going to see some seismic upgrades baggage-handling improvements and something key for a lot of travelers better train access which you have to take to get to the end gates. "Check AAA traffic on this hump day Wednesday and how we doing this morning after the first two days of this closure. Kierra we're hanging in there, Tom. I mean, we definitely still have some heavy volumes. But I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as we all thought that it really could be right now, we don't have any major blocking problems on the highways but southbound I five it is a slow drive out of Northgate to about the convention center. And then if you're on northbound I five he start to hit the brakes at the north end of Boeing field, and you are really dragging as you work your way to Seneca, the west Seattle bridge that still remains busy from delridge to I five, and we're sort of seeing slowdowns on north heading northbound on fourth avenue as you're approaching Spokane street, we're looking better on I if you're traveling through there, but then I avenue that will start to become heavy as you're making your way toward the stadiums. Northbound four zero five off and on slowing as you're traveling through the Renton area, and then you get busy again. In fact, toria southbound four or five not looking too bad anymore in Bothell, but it is busy through totem lake and eastbound five twenty still taps the brakes between four zero five and a hundred and forty eighth for next traffic at nine fourteen and forecast. Let's check in with Seth Wayne today for the most part dryer, mostly cloudy, where it's at we're going to continue to increase that cloud cover through the day today. Although we do have the chance of rain coming our way, mainly this evening and overnight tonight, but it's overnight to that rain really starts to ramp up, and that's gonna make way for Soghi conditions on your Thursday and Friday. So today, we'll be at about fifty tomorrow likely in the upper forty s and low fifties as the rain returns and continues through the weekend. I'm Seth Wayne in the KOMO weather center early thirty four downtown under.

"Picture every single one of those trains that we moved through are taking hundreds of trucks off the roadway, and he says to have customers to serve we're moving more freight right now than we ever have any time in history. So there's a lot of freight being moved by the rail system, and they also to accommodate sounder trains and Amtrak. So everybody takes a turn. And again, that's Carleen Johnson reporting on that story. Let's get right to the traffic situation. And before we talk about impacts here downtown, we've got an eastside issue. This rather big our AAA traffic. Here's marina. We sure do. It's an overturned semi. That's been blocking for awhile westbound highway eighteen at I ninety now the tow trucks are on the scene. They are blocking both westbound lanes to upright that overturned semi. And they are working on getting it cleared as soon as they can. It's the backup is on the westbound I ninety exit highway eighteen so I'm not seeing a huge backup looking at the map right now. But there certainly is one there as far as the viaduct is concerned right now if you're headed out for lunch, you're looking pretty good. We do have some minor slowdowns. Southbound I five through the U district into downtown Seattle. But all in all not bad at all. And we do have some slowdowns as you approach the first avenue south bridge. It looks like they're closing that for marine traffic right now. This look at traffic brought to you by discovery. Get your free credit score card with your FICO credit score. Looking at mostly cloudy conditions to route out the rest of this afternoon. Still dry, but that's going to change as a series of disturbances start to come through. So we're looking at the next chance of rain to come more widespread late tomorrow afternoon an instant evening, and it looks like it's going to stay wet Thursday Friday into the weekend. I'm Seth Wayne in the KOMO weather. Chilly right now, we have forty two in downtown Seattle.

"Seth Wayne from the KOMO forecast here. A Thursday gone. Planty breezy across much of the region today series assistance systems coming on through. I won today's going to us plentiful amounts of what weather at times again hit and miss when it comes to the rain later tonight on into tomorrow daytime highs from the low fifties through Friday generally in the mid forties as snow levels dropped by the beginning of next week. I'm Seth Wayne in the KOMO weather center from shoreline north toward mount Vernon a little bit of a rain shadow at the moment, but shoreline southbound over much of the rest of western Washington, getting showers and some occasional heavier bursts of rain and right now in downtown Seattle. It's forty seven degrees. The heavy winds and rough seas could slow you down today. If you plan to write a ferry he's gusty winds likely to cause delays in some rough rides for people crossing the ferries north of Seattle. There could be delays out of Mukilteo and a quarter in the port Townsend run the ferry run. There could actually be suspended at times today if those winds get stronger than the ferry services warning us. To warn you that that could happen. Also ferries may not be running fully loaded today that helps balance the boats when the Caesar high also not just on the water. We could have some trouble stormy weather is causing the avalanche danger in the back country to go way up. Now, this is because of our yoyoing snow level going away up after we got a bunch of snow, and then we get some rain on top of the stone that it comes crashing back down adding snow on top of some more, unstable snow. So the bottom line stay in the inbounds areas of those skier. If you're going over the mountains, it is raining hard over Snoqualmie pass. But there were no tire restrictions as thirty four degrees. There's no snow on the roadway. Stevens pass same kind.
