"So much more fun than raw. A home improvement podcast? I'm down. Can we? Start from episode one. In episode 603 of the home improvement podcast. We do this joke. And no, we don't have COVID. We just have no voice left because we've been doing that too many times. We could sing our own theme song? There's got to be like a compilation on YouTube of him just doing it like 400 times. And I'm going to watch her. I'm going to look that up after this show. Yeah. And I'll just laugh my ass off. All right, let's get to, let's get to awards. Who did you have for worst dressed? I had Tamina. I also had Tamina. I had Becky Lynch just because, again, her face makeup was so bad. Like she did not look attractive. So going there. Best dressed. Bel Air. All right. I had bliss. All right, Alexa Bliss as well. You know, as long as Sasha's not here, yeah. It's a toss up. Right. Worst acting? I doubled down and went with Tamina as well. I also went with Tamina as well. I will do it on the show. She deserved it. Yeah, I went with Sheamus because any time he talks, I want to no. What's that they're full of? Fella. And I hate how mojito excited pad Mack feel he's gets when Shane has comes out. I'm like, but no, he sucks, pat. And you don't. Best acting. Best acting. I had the beast slayer. The beast slayer. I had the player, the visionary, the architect, Seth, freaking, Rollins. Yeah. Sweep it. The nightmare wake her upper. No. Nope, nope. Swinging a miss. Yes. Worst comments. Rumor Willis. Yes, I had that as well. Really? I had ain't no one meaner than Tamina. Yeah, he does that all the time. Ain't no one meaner than Tamina. You can even rhyme you dumb fuck. Yeah. Best comments. You don't get to destroy the throne and come back and try to make it from me. Yeah, that's clearly it. We can sweep that, but I did. I left out loud when there were yelling liar at each other, Sammy and Kevin. Yeah. And then he goes, liar, pants on fire. And Kevin went too far. It's heavy goes, sorry, sorry. Go ahead. Becky also had a great line when she was talking about handing over the belt to Asuka. She's like, when I went to go create life, like the God that I am. That was amazing. Yeah, Eric, I can't let that pass. You said Seth's line, like kind of nonchalant, so please say it the right way. By all means. Redeeming. No, I mean, you say it. Now you don't want it. You don't get to break the throne and then come back and take it away from me. All right. All right. You forget the all right. All right. All right. Worst match. Ronda and Raquel versus nettie and Shayna yeah, sure. I had Rhonda and Raquel for worst match, and then my slo-mo was Rhonda and Raquel versus daddy and Shayna. Okay. Mine was a drew day versus. I fuck you, Eric for that. Look for that. My slo-mo was how slowly this is our rolled up Tamina to win the 24/7 championship. Right. Best match. Who are you? Yeah. We're smooth. Shakey's dancing. Dancing, I expect shanky to be a jackass. Drew's dancing? Anyone dancing? Did you dance? Yeah. Yeah, I had Kaiser's kick to the chest for the win. That's my finisher. Sound good? Yeah, that sounds great. Yeah. Best move. Best move was giving Seth Rollins a mic on. No shit. That's funny. I had the super RKO. I mean, he does it so well. I had Cody tackling Seth of the barricade because like their fight was so good. Like their brawl felt so real and I really wanted to be expecting it. But usually only break that one barricade that's like near the timekeeper. Yes. So it's nice to see that they went with a different one for a change. Around here. Yeah. Worst moment or segment. Just 24/7. Just off. Like just 24/7 raw and SmackDown. WWE. 24/7? Yeah. I mean, I had the main segment of whatever, call it. Contract signing. I was trying to decide between miss TV in the 24 bullshit. And you actually know mos and I picked miss TV just 'cause it went on longer. It did. Fair enough. And then best moment or segment, that's easy. Seth freaking Rollins. We're setting Cody. Yeah. Right. That segment was fucking. Them being them. Right. All right, that's all for awards. So now it's time for breaking news. And oh boy, this is embarrassing. So WWE announced that they have moved the money in the bank location. From Allegiant Stadium, which holds 65 thousand people. To the MGM Grand arena, which holds 17,000 people. Just a little under. A little less. All right. Yeah, obviously it's because of low ticket sales. But once again, Eric and I went to SummerSlam. It was half empty. Right. And if you can't sell out SummerSlam, how are you going to sell out money in the bank in the same fucking stadium? And even one that went to SummerSlam would never want to go back to that stadium again because of the horrible experience it was. Including this guy, that's right. And I still blame you, Eric, for that. You're welcome. We could have went to all out with Brian Danielson and Adam Cole debuting, but no Erica. Also, money in the bank is going head to head with UFC. Who is also in Las Vegas on the same night? Really? The same night. They chose to do money in the bank on a Saturday. It's a sad day. Wow. Yeah. That's stupid. Like a UFC show, like a big one. Yeah? Oh, you have a big name. No, but I'm not, I'm a casual UFC, so I don't know all the, you know. No, no, no, no. I don't think so. I think that's the next month. The main event is not a title fight, but yeah, it's still UFC. Also, The Rock's daughter, Simone Johnson, who signed with WWE in 2020 as officially received her in ring name. And it's Ava rain. AVA, and.

"I saw your Instagram, have you been there prior to your post? No, that was the first time I think I think I walked past it one day, many, many years ago, never took a, it was probably before iPhone, so I never took a picture. But I went there Saturday, took the picture because you have to take the picture with the Seinfeld diamond in the background. Made the mistake of eating there, which was a church on every level. But I should have just taken the selfie and gone to Joe's pizza. But instead I ate that, which was a mistake. But the picture I was happy, I got the picture there. If you're in Manhattan. It's a classic pick. No, it's a classic pig. You have to do it, but you're right. I was going to say, don't eat in there. I went. But I will say, I mean, you're in that place, and the signs outside, and what I pose on Instagram is all I can think about is that episode when George orders the opposite. Instead of tuna. Whatever, he gets chicken salad. The way he goes, the way he finished it, he's like, instead of tuna that he goes, I'll have chicken salad on rye with then he goes, and a cup of tea. That was great. And you're right, the walking up to it, just seeing it from the outside in person. It's a really cool, yeah. Exactly. Last thing, Russell mania is this weekend two nights Saturday and something will you tune in at all. Seth Rollins is on that was on this podcast. This listeners know. Here's my issue with it. Number one, oh, it doesn't even matter that I'm into the current storylines or not, but I'm not. I haven't been. Usually though, I'll even check out WrestleMania. My big issue with it, and I've had, I've talked to Paul Heyman, I've talked to Drew McIntyre. And I asked him the same thing. Now they're going to obviously say that they like it, but it drives me nuts. I hate the two nights. I want one night. So when I talk to Seth, as people will hurt, Seth loves the two nights. He thought it was getting to be like 7 hours for one WrestleMania. And he thought the wrestlers couldn't take it. But okay, from there, point of view, I guess, as somebody, so a casual fan. Now, I know the die hard you're going to have, whatever. But in this case, I am the casual fan. And for me, if it were Sunday Night, 7 o'clock to midnight, that's I'm more likely to go to that than I am Saturday and Sunday. So it's almost to me like they're doing it for either a, the diehard fans or B the fans who are going to the city and taking in the whole event from home, I want one night, it makes it more special, or I mean, the biggest year. I'll give you some good news. Unlike Max Scherzer's first start, you can go back and watch WrestleMania at any time. All right, whenever you want..

"Was still like triple threat ladder match, I think, with the Dudley's edge and Christian and the hardee's. And Jeff pulled out the giant ladder and did the scent on off the top of it through the table through a bubble. I think, and I just remember I was just at the age where I was trying to decide what I wanted to do. So I would have been like 14, 15, and I was like, that's it, man. I can do that, you know? I may not be able to be Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels. I certainly can't be Hulk Hogan and warrior. I'm not that big, but I can do that. I can be a daredevil, you know? I can be wild. And so that, that really pushed me to want to all right, I'm going to buy a home gym. I'm going to work out weights in my basement. I'm going to do every. I'm going to take acting classes. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that I can go be a pro wrestler when I'm 18 years old. And so that's kind of like the real moment that would push me into what you see today. Yeah, that's it. I'm trying to remember edge doing the spear off the ladder on what are the hardee's. Was that a WrestleMania? I don't think that was actually. That was special too, but I was sorry. I was already cook line and sinker about that point. The coolest spot I've ever seen. It's up there. I mean, it's a special moment as well. They don't get no bigger than that. The time is perfect. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So big moment, WrestleMania 38, the Saturday Sunday, April 2nd, April 3rd, and Jerry world in Dallas, Seth friedkin violence versus TBD question mark. Now, even though you don't know who the opponent is, we're taping this on Monday where do you know the drip? Because you can't go in there with regular drip. Now you gotta go over the top. I do. Everything, everything Seth Rollins will be over the top. Come Saturday or Sunday. At WrestleMania, yeah. The team's ready. We've got a plan in place. So things are gonna look real good for Seth freaking Rollins out there in Dallas. I would not disappoint when it came to the trip. Absolutely. So if you look at my past WrestleMania drips, they're all quite special as well. So we're gonna add to that list this time. Right. WrestleMania, you can't just come up with drip two days beforehand. It's gotta be planned out. That's gotta be. Yeah, it's definitely a pre planned months in advance type drip. Although, again, now we go all the way back to the beginning of this conversation. And I tell you, it's been hell trying to get myself on WrestleMania, not just on raw Monday nights, but backstage as well. And so I've had a lot of ups and downs when it comes to what I was gonna do. So it's been hell, man. We got something good. Do you have a preference being on raw SmackDown? I mean, I think a three hour show is just obnoxiously long every week. It's just everything gets stretched out, you know? And you've got a crap. You got to feel three hours of television. There's just nothing to be done..

"Unfortunately, you gotta be a little older like me to fully appreciate it and get it, but I thought that was a brilliant brilliant tweet. No, I am a I am a lover of all things Andy Kaufman. So yeah, I think that's great. That's tremendous. If they're on that level, if rock and Smith are on that anti Kaufman level, then this is some genius business right here. Time will tell. We'll see how it goes. I want to ask you before we wrap before we close with some WrestleMania plugs on WWE Network April 2nd April 3rd Saturday Sunday with 2038 Seth Rollins against big question mark. I had your wife Becky on the podcast a couple of months ago. She was great. I really enjoy talking to her. She's obviously going to be at WrestleMania, playing a huge part in it. And you guys are new parents. And I just want, you know, I asked her, I want to ask you just balancing the work and fatherhood life and being able to spend time with your kid while still being a top superstar and WWE. How do you managing all that? Man, we are in one of the most fortunate positions on the earth as parents, because we are in a position where we can travel with our daughter every single week and be with her every single day and take her on the road, I mean, she went to Saudi Arabia with us twice, you know, she's been to Europe with us twice. She goes everywhere we go and we get to be with her and we're fortunate enough to be able to have the accommodations to do that. And not other families don't get that opportunity. You know, they got to send their kids to day care or what have you. And so I feel extremely fortunate that we get the privilege to do that and to be parents and to be present parents and not have to have to work and we get to do it both..

"How does health have grew up in Chicago, cold as hell? And so I'm here where I enjoy the climate and temperature. But I've always been a hockey fan. I can sit down and watch a hockey game between the two worst teams in the league. On television and get tremendous enjoyment out of it. And I still believe this. Hockey is the only sport. Where you can physically see the uptick in intensity in the postseason. I really believe that that you can look at a game like, oh yeah, that's a Stanley Cup. Right, right. And so would I be able to handle play by play in a hockey game? I don't know. I have a great respect for those who do because the names are a little bit tougher as you go along. You eventually learn it anyway. But I just love the game pocket. Well, Greg, I appreciate this. I had it blast and we have the final four coming up this weekend on CBS Saturday. Yes this year. Oh, TBS TBS that's right. They switch every year. So it's Villanova against Kansas, 6 O 9 eastern, and then North Carolina duke. That's got to get you pumped up, right? Nobody do I just had it all. If he doesn't wear blue, everybody will drop dead of a heart attack. They should be good games and it's funny. We just went through the whole Saint Peter's thing and the problem as it always is. Everybody loves an upset. And but later on, there's a price to pay for that. And that team gets to a higher rated and more talented team and a lot of times the spanking happens as it did this time. But it's still a funny thing to do. We'll all be watching you on Saturday and studio with Charles and Kenny and Clark Kellogg and yeah, there'll be a couple of eyeballs on duke North Carolina. So don't mess up any names then. I'll try not to. Thanks, Greg. Appreciate it. Thank you. Sir, we got your test results back. And give it to me straight, Doc. You have to listen to the podcast ridiculous.

"But there are some people who don't, no matter what happens, they don't want to be taken away from their game and their team. So in that era, you weren't going to please everybody, but so you tried to please most in this era, of course you can please everybody because everyone can find their game itself somewhere where it's on. Right. Well, and the problem. I mean, if that system was going on now, okay, so you can have a one seed playing a 16 seed and the one seat is up by 30 and CBS wants to switch out of it to get you to a more competitive matchup. But if the spread is 31 to 32, people don't want you to switch out of it. So I think the sports gambling today is, you know, if that system was still in place, that's where you'd have a lot of angry people coming into the mix. Well, you're right. Because back then, you didn't, as recently as that seems to be, you still didn't have the tools to be able to keep up with what's going on. Now you can just look on your phone. And keep up with the team that's going on. The thing that we always left at wasn't a laughing matter to the people involved though, Kentucky is a prime example. Kentucky could be leading by 50 points with a minute to play in the game. Don't you dare take their video. They are sound away from their game and switch it somewhere else. We'd get up. It was Helen wheels. So this is your 24th season as the studio host for CBS. The way it set up today, what's the biggest challenge for you or most difficult aspect of doing the tournament? I think keeping up with everything that's happening at a time, especially those first two days of the tournament where there are 16 games on Thursday in 16 on Friday. And of course, towards the end of the evening, you kind of just start getting used to who's who and what teams and then 24 hours later it's entirely different names and numbers and uniforms and everything else. But it's a matter of keeping up and look, it gets to be a little chaotic at times because you want you to do an update here and then quickly do this update over here and I remember one time years ago, multiple cards and notes and papers in my hand and it's a voice-over and I said, let's get you back to Indianapolis and then our producer Eric Mann in my ear says great. We don't have any games in Indianapolis. It's a few year way through. I think everybody recognizes at least in our business they recognize the chaotic nature of it. The fans, all they want is the good clean feed of what they want to see. And back in the old days, what they wanted to see wasn't always what they got. And then on top of the chaos, you have to deal with Charles Barkley now. Well, give me, how has it been for you when we talked about CBS teamed up with Turner to present the tournament and then.

"This week to guests. First up from CBS sports, Greg gumbel, Greg is entering his 50th year of broadcasting and really enjoy talking to Greg great interview. I think you guys will like it a lot. For my wrestling fans out there, Seth Rollins follows gumbel and as Seth always does when he comes in this podcast, has a lot to say and stirs the pot and we talk about WrestleMania coming up this weekend with Rollins and then train of thoughts with my buddy's avocado, where we read some apple reviews and get into more complaining about streaming issues. So stick around for that. So it's Greg gumble. Seth Rollins, train of thoughts all on this episode before we get to it just a reminder if you missed last week, tri Aikman gave us his first national interview after leaving Fox for ESPN and Troy got into a lot of the backstory there. So check that out if you didn't listen to it in the archives, other recent guests on the podcast, Chris Russo, Mike florio, Molly Kieran. Check those out in the archive subscribe to the SI media podcast and if you could rank review that house. And as you'll hear later in train of thoughts, I'll read some of the reviews. All right, let's get to it, Greg double followed by Seth Rollins followed by train of thoughts right here. On the SI media podcast. All right, joining me now, first time on the SI media podcast, and I don't know why I waited so long to have him on pretty ridiculous, entering his 50th season. As a sports broadcaster, 50th year. Quite a feat. From CBS, he's been all over your TV for the past couple weeks with the NCAA tournament, Greg gumble, Greg, how are you? I'm good, thank you..

"So I guess Cody reaches over and smacks his dick. Hey. Put that dick down. Becky swings, but Belle takes it from her and hits Becky a few times with it. She goes for the KOD, but Becky rakes her eyes and gives her the Russian leg sweep with the kendo stick. She stole Sandman's finisher. Right. And for those of you who don't know the that move was my finisher in doomsday wrestling. Yeah, right. With the beef with the beef, I took the beef sausage with the sausage and I would put it across the neck like the salami or like the kendo stick, and I called it the rack of slam. Yeah. So you also stole Sandman's finisher? No, I use, I use the salami. It's completely different. Completely different move. Do you remember what the salmon called it? No. The white Russian Lake suite. Okay, yeah. Nice. Yeah. Anyways, title match next week where I'm sure Becky retains. Yeah, I'm sure. Next so we have Damian priest versus T bar and a championship contenders match. Priest has new shitty generic music. Yeah. Yeah. And he also lost his cool entrance. He did. Instead of doing the archer thing, being like original, now he just walks to the ring. He just kind of lifted his hands up like, hey. Why is everyone's music changing? It makes no sense. It's how we acknowledge these guys. Right. We start do you want us to not like him and just change everything? Clearly, I think he just learned to make him heal. He just looks like a guy now. He yeah, I think you're right. 'cause he lost the blue in his hair. And now he has a man scara and he hadn't shaved, so he had a shitty kind of 5 o'clock shadow. Yeah. It's a man scare us, some guy liner, guyliner, yeah. T bar hits a moonsault off the top rope, beautiful, but priest kicks out at one. Yeah. Like a clothesline, got him to two. Like, 5 seconds earlier. Outside the ring T bar throws, one of the announced table chairs at priests for the DQ. And then priest snaps. He kicks T bar's ass and finishes him off with the reckoning. But yeah, he'll turn imminent. Yeah. I would think, yeah. I'd prefer it. He went nuts. He lost his shift. Yeah. Yeah. What happened in song? He snapped. He was. Yeah. Maybe that's what he's pissed he's like, I wanted that Saudi money. Yeah. I'm gonna go bad now. Going bad. Next up we have Liv Morgan versus carmela. The rematch after rematch after rematch after remake. They moved this feud to raw. Yeah. This is 6 month feud. They drafted a feud. They drafted a feud. Lives gear was inspired by Chuck E.. Bottom right. She looked amazing. You know, the bottom body left. She looked great, but it didn't help her. No. Mid match Liv bass, carmela's face on the announce table right in front of Corey graves and she even talked some trash to him. I thought that was fantastic. That was true. Yeah. But then a couple minutes later, Carolla wins with The X Factor. Yeah, that's it, of course. She wins. Clean. She did do a float over X Factor, so at least that's new. Yeah. Sure. I don't know if I don't have seen that in a while, or. Well, I mean, every it was different. Every woman ever has done The X Factor at some point. So at least adding something different to it. When you share a finisher with Lana old finisher where she you know of style the code of silence. Yeah. That's great. It was good. But however, Liv is still buried. Still buried. Dead and she was like, Vince, I made Chucky gear for the, you know, the USA thing and Chucky. Yeah, we're getting paid. What of it? Right, right. Next up, we have Keith bear cat leave versus Cedric Alexander. This might have been the weirdest match. Of the night. Yeah. Because you're not sure if he's a heel or a face when he comes out. He's kind of brooding. Well, so they announced him, they just called him bear cat Lee when they announced him, right? Okay, so the graphics says bear cat Lee, but everyone called him Keith bear kettle. Leaving my room even the announces the analysis of Keith barret and then his gear just like the jacket he had on said Keith Lee. Right. So I don't know. He's got like four different names floating around. No, he's a pretty good wrestler, and he just kept like pushing him down. There's a couple that were really slow too. It's like, that's what Vince wants. What are they doing with him? He's great. That's what Vince wants him to do. And they said he's a wrestler who can move like a little guy that they just made him like King Kong Bundy. Yeah, that's why you would call him the bear cat, 'cause that's, you know, but right. Yeah. No. He wins it a couple minutes. He gives Cedric his BBC. And then after the match, Shelton Benjamin gets in the ring like he's gonna attack leave with any backs off. So, you know, if they're smart, they would, well, they would put him in The Hurt Business, but that moment's probably passed, but at least have MVP come back and try to recruit him or Lashley try to run if they're trying to make Keith Lee heal. I mean, he would make perfect sense to try to recruit him. I don't think they are, though, and the fact that they just renamed him, I think that I don't think he's going to be more serious too, so. I don't know, we'll see. Next, so we have Dominic Mysterio versus Austin theory. This happened because theory earlier in the show wanted Dominic to take a photo of himself with ray, but Dominick was like, I'm not a photographer. So he's like, all right, well, fuck you, I'll see you in the ring. Yeah. And in theory wins with his finisher, then he takes a selfie with Dominic and he takes the selfie with the raft and so Austin theory's gimmick is he's a fan. Yeah. He's a fan that jumped the barricade against Tyler breeze. But this was like Dominic being the heel. He just was like, I want a picture with your dad, can you take one of us? Yeah. Like, I'm not a fucking photographer. Well, clearly you're not much of a wrestler, 'cause no. You haven't won ever. He went from almost beating Seth Rollins to jobbing to everyone. But I kind of like Austin theory right now. I kind of like his attitude, I think he's pretty decent on the mic. He's got he's a good wrestler. 24. He's growing on me. Yeah. Yeah. You've grown for him. It sounds like. Oh boy. You better believe it. All right, we got the dirty dogs versus RK bro for the raw tag titles. Orton hits rude with an RKO. Dolph hits Orton with a super kick. Then riddle goes for a roll up. The Dolph kicks out and goes for a roll up. But then riddle kicks out and retains with a roll up, hits him with a super roll up. How about they have beaten the dirty dogs? What an ending. He'll be roll up a roll up and then a roll up the end. Roll up to a roll up to a roll up RKO crowd erupts, then roll up roll up roll up roll up pin. Yeah. Beautiful. All right, main event time, Rey Mysterio versus Kevin Owens versus Finn Balor versus Seth Rollins in a number one contender match with the contract hanging above the ring. We're wondering what they're gonna put up there. And it's a red book 'cause it's red raw. Yeah. Imagine if it was blue, how humiliating, right? Would that have been? It would have looked so stupid. Bunch of fucking idiots. Yeah. But at least we had this match. Yeah. For a pretty raw. At least we had this. Yeah. There were some great ladder spots. Owen's powerbombs baller on a ladder. Owens went for a centaur off the top rope with Seth laying on a ladder, but Seth moved, so ouch. Ouch. You could hear Owens he yelled. You know? This whole hurt, him. Later, there was a hornswoggle sized ladder laying on Seth and Balor back body dropped Owens onto it. That.

"I remember correctly now that could be mistaken but if i remember my time line correctly was seth rollins was tyler black and ring of honor. I believe jim cornet was there. So you know i my mom's a little murky right now. I'm trying to figure it out. Because if cornet was there dan. I'm trying to understand okay. We'll cornet even way back then even way back then with With with with cornet if he was involved in our way wage. Surely he did get the ball. Rolling with seth rollins abou- hey uni to work on this. You know this is your character you got gotta right. So i'm a little bit confused On that one. So i'm looking forward to seeing what he has to say about that definitely definitely but he seems to be a really good place. Good wife has a child. he's got his own wrestling academy is at his own little coffee shop restaurant. Daddy opened up. Yeah i think he's got like two of them now down in idaho as he's done pretty good for himself and he's only thirty five. I think that's just Amazing that is just amazing. It's even more amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. That's the number one. Take away As well as his number one takeaway but this was really about a guide. I was trying very hard to find himself. Fine his identity and now he feels as though all of these years. It's led him up to everything that he's doing right now as this drip king is drip guide. It's some of his best work of his entire career. it is some of his absolu- best work even. If you can't stand the gimmick you can't help with just take a step back and say now you know what yeah this. This is the absolute bass. Seth rollins says entire run and wwe. And in all that part. I found very interesting because i was ready to hear him. Say yeah well. You know this whole gimmick. I was looking at no stuff from pop culture. And i saw a well. Qua- phoenix's joker movie and but a looks like by all accounts that had no impact on. What's on with this whole messiah drip guy gimmick a looks like the joker had no impact whatsoever because many of us when we were looking at this. We're going all. "I mean it's all there but yeah i'd never tutu and dance around. I wasn't swan. I mean at this point. You've held every major belt and every title like there when you say there really is no peak. Is that true is there. Something that like you could achieve You know at wrestlemainia at summer slam coming up versus a certain opponent a certain belt to certain something where you could be like i can die a happy man now know now that i know my wrestling career was fulfilled. Already at that point where what would it be for you to be like the actual peak. I mean truthfully. If i if i look at my career in retrospectives fashion. It really feels like. I've accomplished than things things that i got to do that. I never thought i would even have a chance to do you know Examples obviously or the money in the bank cash in from sawyer's creating moments like that or urges student segments with some of my favorite know ric flair. I've been in the ring with roddy piper. I got to wrestle sting. I'm wrestling age summer. Sleep speaking of attitude resume match with an attitude. Era guy for someone your age is like first of all. You've probably didn't think it's even possible because you know you need a crazy bastard like ed. You still out there doing it. But that's gotta be a cool bucket list feeling exactly i mean. Those are things that. I never even would have written down on michael to my goal list. I oh If for whatever reason it all ended. Tomorrow i'd be very satisfied with my career but that's not to say that it's like i've done all there is to do. I never been on the marquee wrestlemainia. Like i've never been hulk hogan vs. Seth rollins like the guy tickets. I sent a cash in the moment that incredible matches i brock listener. They are a couple of years back. But i've never had that that. Be at the top of the top and so to me until i get that out kind of always be driving myself forward and then it's about legacy to you know you you know like you said it's about heirs right. You compare eras yet. But i'll ago jetways johnson and doing what's ric flair doing. What are their numbers. But how hot. What was the impact that they had on the industry. How i get my name in that conversation. How do people talk about me. The way i talk about shawn michaels like these are all just things that well in my is those moments. I think when you talk about like like the money in the bank moment to me. It's it's not even necessarily like you don't think about whole pay per views. Sometimes you don't even think about matches you think about individual moments within a match you know and i think that that money in the bank. One something like that does that. Just come down from writers is that are you part of that influencing that like you know. Is that your idea. Their idea combination of it. 'cause that's got to feel pretty cool when you realize like oh this moment's gonna fucking is gonna kill it That particular moment was my idea. From beginning. that's awesome. Good holwell don. The execution of it was was a collaborative effort as far as making a triple threat match and winning it. That way But i had thought to cash in in the main event wrestlemainia and I had thought of a few months ahead of time. And i and i kinda put it in the right people's ears and waited to see kind of how the few to the rivalry between listener and roman was going to percolate What i was gonna look like. I kind of had a bit of nostradamus moment..

"That side of the field for kind of the tv booth Radio booths and cameras. And then kinda the to the laughed which was more from third base over to to home plate which was where kind of the writing media was and then there was a different media center. That was kind of off the Off the grounds a little bit is pretty close to the chicago. White sox locker room so you just kinda had to walk over there and it was a great view of the field. The only the only person i. I felt bad for was set next to marley rivera from espn new york. Because she had a poll right in front of her. And so i was trying to move over a little bit letters see and and but but other than that the views were great for everybody else except marley and certainly was You can see everything going on on the field. What kind of access scott did media have prior and after the game. Yeah there was the typical field and and dugout access Players were able to talk. You know without masks or you could go right up to him. Just kind of like the old days of governor major league baseball there on the field there in the corner they were everywhere and and they had no problems no reservations whatsoever talking to him and then a few of the stars star players couple of each team. Both managers spoke before and after the game and the media center so There was a lot of access there and it was. It was different. It was unique and it kinda brought us back to what life was like pre co vid in some of our interviews but then also i think everybody kind of realized that the importance in the city in the specialness of the game and and so almost everybody was willing to talk no matter it was on the field before the game or anywhere afterwards. What were there any protocols that that the credentialed media had to follow in terms of masking in terms of social distance or anything like that. Yeah there were two. I mean everybody has present a vaccination card to get in and And once you've got and the only other requirement was in the media center which was indoors to to wear a mask The press box was open. I know everywhere around was opened so there was no need to wear masks anywhere else or at least i was not the requirement. Can you give my listeners. A sense of of how this was played in iowa in terms of the lead-up how big story was it so like in relation to whatever the traditional news story of the day would be. Where did this where did this. Mlb event sort of rank there yet started to grow an interest and importance. Kind of i would say a little bit before the fourth of july and it just kinda started to soar and a groundswell of interest grew and then in the final week leading up to the game Once the the lottery for tickets was released it was I haven't seen anything like this since except maybe a few big college basketball or football games but and that night itself it was the big story in the state no question and and it was really a kind of examining the interest.

"Up our minutes with a with a couple of things here you You have a massive social media following you know four million plus on instagram. I didn't look at your twitter account. But i'm sure it's in the millions. And whatever else. You're on. Seth linked in knows what else so like. This is like significant marketing. Sort of power set and you talked to any person sort of an expert in the business and like if you were just like some youtube star like that's worth millions of dollars just the amount of follows you have. Obviously it's different. You're part of a wrestling company. A lot of what you sent out there is promotional etcetera etcetera. How how how do you navigate that world because when Having sort of worked in traditional sports there we'll take the nba for example. There are some nba guys who embrace it and have fun with it. There are other mba guys who i personally think. It affects their life. I just i think they're impacted by the negative stuff and then there are others who just take it or leave it you know. They'll throw out something in and get away from it when you have those kind of numbers and that many amount of people who can sort of get into your head if you allow it on a day-to-day basis. How how do you navigate that it is very difficult As a person to tap the deal with scrutiny on that level the only way an i found the only way to truly Be kind of you know. Numb to it is to put it away. You really ask. Just keep your eyes off of it Because if you can find whatever you're looking for there you can reinforce whatever you want. If you want to find negatively you will find negatively if you want to Inflate your own ego. There's plenty of people on there. Tell you you're great so you can really just put you in a mental Bubble and you live in this little site old age that it's almost takes you out of the real world. It's very frustrating. And it can be very very difficult because sometimes that can you know something like that. If you put too much stock in it can ruin your all day. I've been victim to it in in a few Allow it to kind of continually stress. You out especially. If you're not happy in other parts of your life you know especially with work if if you're disappointed in your own performances and then you know things aren't going the way you want you're not an a story you like or you know you didn't have a good night. Whatever it may be like you can go into a dark place on social media if you really want and then it can end up really affecting other parts of your life and droopy told it at thirty five now at eight month old baby like i got. I got too much shit on. I got time for all that negativity. Man i really don't i just don't i don't have time for i. I like being happy. I like smiling. I like being around my daughter in a good mood. And so It's one of those things where you just gotta put it away. Sometimes you just gotta understand that. It's it's not you seth rollins. It's different of your life and you have to put compartmentalize it in not let it affect everything that you do because it can be a pretty pretty tough place to be sometimes eight months old. I hope you guys are getting some rest. I have two twin boy girl. Twins are a little older than that. Now but man i remember i remember those days it seems like a blur this point. One last thing on on social media. Then i'll finish up with one other quick topic Do you are you one who likes to use your social media feeds to sort of continue. Storyline i again. I find. I'm not sure i have seen somebody use. Let's say twitter. For instance better than becky like. I remember last month. She tweeted. i might as well go to. It's i read it exact. Oh yeah here. It is okay breastfeeding and home and still the most over woman in the division. That's phenomenal like that. Keeps her front and center in people's minds. It's also such a great line like just such a money line for when he would say healer face. It's just a good. It's just such a killer line but she has been one who is totally used twitter to like continue storyline and honestly just promo beat down on people. Is that something that you you you do. You wanna do or can you. can you blur the lines. I guess the social media to get the rollins character in there or is or is only for the gifted few like your wife. Yeah i mean she special when it comes to that. I don't know that there's anybody who does it. Quite as wells her And and she's created such a reputation on it. That's what people sort of expect When i've tried to do it it's it's funny because when i try or i have done it. It just doesn't come off the same. I've gotten more attention from tweets. That have been just honest tweets ben from storyline tweets. And so to me. I just i go. I think people have already save They have an expectation. For what what your twitter is. Or what the tweets are gonna look like. It's really hard to change that. And so she's got her set up in a perfect way where she is so much gray area. No-one knows you know. No one. I guess such a mystique about the man that she's able to to just play with people like me. She's above master and so it's it's beautiful to watch. I don't think i can ever get to that level just based on my twitter history alone And so yeah. I use it sometimes. Not too great fact Most the time it's just like you know schillt's for my wrestling school or you know an event i have coffee show did stuff like that. So i I i use it more for news than anything. These days are less question. For seth rollins and now just note that He's got. I think a number of coffeeshops now and i had to his instagram feed. You can check that out. Anybody who wants to coffee shops generally very cool person props to you on that last one. Here is your thirty five. So you know that is young in wrestling. Even with all the bumps your body has taken. You'll be able to perform pretty much as long as you want. But i could totally see you. Working as a healer baby-faced commentator down the road if that interests you doesn't this broadcasting at all have any interest for you down the road in terms of any even if it's not full-time just sort of being that part of the business..

"I'm not exactly sure why People think that's an insult to me. I might. yeah my wife's awesome. she's great. i love her. I get why you want her instead of me. I'm also a bad guy. You know what i mean like. I don't. I don't know where the insult comes in here. Like i'm not trying to figure that part out. But i like if that happens how do i. How am i supposed to react to that. You know like what do i say so. It's very interesting. luckily haven't had to address it yet. But it's one of those things where i just. I want to go guys doesn't hurt my feelings. I don't know what you say. It's it's so interesting you say that because like i think i understand where you come. Psychologically your two characters. don't really mix like you're i totally get where you're coming from. And so the counter this is like i think you and bailey had phenomenal. That like sort of skip that you guys did when she was in the ring. And she's interviewing you like the it worked. I don't know if it's because it's sort of like too over the top heel characters who are just vibrating. But like that was really good television and so i get it like. I understand where you're coming from in that. You may have incredible chemistry with becky off screen. But if i think of seth rollins at least seth rollins corn carter now and the man which is like one of the great greek our anti hero great characters it doesn't really work in storyline. Or at least. I can't figure it out at this point how it would work. Yeah i mean. Even when i was You know pre guide visionary. Monday night messiah. It didn't it didn't work but but her character is. She's a loner like she doesn't need anybody. You know what. I mean. It's just it's it's so sear That character in relationship is just. You know what i mean. It doesn't it doesn't feel good. It never felt good and so especially now. I don't know what it would look like. But yeah just to your point. You know the the seth rollins in the bailey characters energy was perfect made perfect sense sense for them to be in the ring together. You know in a promo together so It's kinda funny how that works but yeah just her character's not built for a number two which is really not and so no harm in that night is don't think we need to touch on it ever again. We'll see what happens. But that's that's how i feel at the moment. You're ready to get into yoga. So you order the essentials and non slip matt yoga blocks to.

"His promos cena's i should say roman. Did that scene a mention dean ambrose. And so for you seth you know you've mentioned edges daughters. I believe in some promos. How do you. How do you work that into a promo the reality of it and then my second part in this. Do you have to run it by the person you are shooting on to make sure that you don't go over. If there is a verbal line where that person you take off that person or they feel like you you you went to a place that you know really sort of went beyond whatever they would be comfortable with what everybody's different in that regard everybody you go out there and have a promo with or talk about is different. They're all going to Kind of have you know. The line is drawn different places for each person right so seen for example. This is just a off top my head when i've done stuff with him promos with him he always told me. I don't care what you say while we're out there anything in front of the camera. I don't care. I'd never jacob personal. So he's a guy that's what you know let it all fly and then when we get to the back it's different it's work it's not not nothing is personal and sometimes other guys aren't like that some trump. Sometimes there guys are girls who were very Protective about certain parts of their life and they don't want that to be in the public and you have to respect that as well so yeah it definitely. The mileage varies from person to person But i do think i would say most of us have been in this game long enough especially when we get to the level You know you mentioned john. Roman with promos kind of breakdown wall a little bit We they've been in the game long enough where you know. Everyone sort of knows it's business and there's gonna be personal jabs in there but if you can't if you can't take that stuff if your skin isn't thick enough then you're probably in the wrong business because like i said when we started this you know. It's all about conflict conflict. What sells so that real life little thing that one little twist of real real life quote unquote is really gonna be sometimes the difference between You know our raslan story and a real story that people get invested in so especially nowadays when the curtains pullback so d- what about for you are you. Do you fall into the sina camp of when we go out there. It's all business. Say whatever you want or are there lines for you that you don't want anybody crossing in a live promo man go ham go out. I'm all for it i again. I'm john boat. Whatever you wanna say say like. I said you gotta ask skin. They don't have the skin you you're not in the wrong larai business. It's you have to be tough at the top especially because everybody wants to know you. There's nothing you know. Roman reigns is going to say to me in a ring that it's six thousand people haven't said to me on twitter in the last twenty four hours so you know you gotta just be able to take that and move on. All right for those in This audience who don't know seth rollins married to In my opinion one of the greatest performance in the history of professor wrestling. I'm not just kissing. Thanks because he's on a line. You can go to my twitter feed. You'll see anything. I've said about becky lynch Whose whose real name is rebecca quinn. I'm gonna call her becky for this interview south that that's okay with you just to make make to make life easier for you. They're very few performance. Who i appreciate more than becky lynch. It was interesting to me. Set that you to and this gets back to the media thing you guys discussed when you were expecting your first child together with people magazine and so i wonder It's a very similar question to what i asked you before when the publicity is about both of you as opposed to just seth rollins. How do you to sort of get together. And then decide. This is an outlet. Where comfortable talking about our personal life with this is an outlet. We're comfortable in appearing as a married couple together. How you guys navigated that. Gosh all enough. I don't even know we have those conversations still deep. It's mostly just like some pretty cool with almost anything like My i'm all out there for the most part you know. She's a little more protective or characters a little bit different than maya's well there's a lot more beak are around. The man there is around me and so I really just kind of in that. Situation acquiesced to her it whatever she's interested in doing if it's something that she doesn't want to do i rarely force it. I don't think i ever have as a matter of fact but if it's something that she wants to do i'm usually all game so i think it does me no arm to be doing interviews next to her a very proud of her. She's a genius as you mentioned. She's also an incredible person in incredible mother. So anytime i mentioned Next to her. It's a win for me. Yeah i agree because For sure all right so this is this is this is fascinating to me because it gets into like my granular interest in In what you guys do. So like i mentioned rene paquet has been on this podcast many times and one of the things she told me was how challenging. It was to be on the raw broadcast when her husband. Jon moxley obviously people know went by dean. Ambrose in the wwe was on camera because she said she didn't know if she was supposed to be an announcer and sort of be neutral or acknowledge to the audience. That in non story line. She's married to this dude. In real life. it was very surreal. It's sort of crossed all these kind of odd places if becky returns to performing and i think everybody hopes that happens in some form. Have you contemplated this or have you talked about. Like how do you navigate the nexus of real world and storyline. Well i mean we did it Briefly a couple of years ago and for we're married but we were dating it become public end People were excited about it in the company to us and asked us to. Do you know kind of bring it to the screen if you will And i don't think we we tried to make the best out of it. But i don't think either of us terribly comfortable with it And even though we have like incredible chemistry as people as performers are characters never really vied on screen and so I think it's kind of one of those things that if she comes back More than likely will stay away from it. We just won't touch on it. I mean if where if something calls for you know we're in the same segment or the same story in some way. I mean there's no way you can't pretend like it doesn't exist you know it's not it's just not possible to high profile for that but it's almost like if were to several places in now then known even thinks about it that much. Do you know what. I mean And so i had to think about navigating it a little bit now because and in a couple of my promos on some of these live events. We've been doing now. We have a live crowd again. i'll get. We want becky chance and i go like. I don't know how to navigate that..

"The sports media. Podcast all right. As i said of the top south rawls is one of the most accomplished performance in the history of wwe. You can see him. Weekly on smackdown friday nights on fox on saturday august twenty first at eight. Pm eastern time from allegiance stadium in paradise nevada. Seth rollins will face edge other matches on that card. Include roman reigns verse john. Bianco belair recession banks triple threat. Match with nikki. A. s. h. Real ripley ripley and charlotte flair and you can watch that exclusively on peacock in the united states and the wwe network everywhere else. I've long admired the seriousness and dedication seth rollins puts into this business. Probably not one of his dreams when again the russell to be in a sports media. Podcast but serious. Seth rollins. Seth aurea a thank you I'm doing well man. i'm doing well. I appreciate you having me on the all right. So this immediate podcast. The generally the guests on this podcast or announcers. You've seen joe bucks and people like that and sort of get granular in the business. But i've had a lot of wrestlers are people from the wrestling community on. Paul heyman and rene paquet in particular have done this. Podcast like four or five times and i'm fascinated with the business because so much of what you guys do really is about communication and your ability obviously to connect with an audience that way. So here's where. I'd like to start south promotion. Obviously a massive part of your business something that probably you had to learn how to navigate and do and so. I wonder for you. How do you navigate interviews where some people want you and character and storyline and then other people want you to talk about the business of wrestling or your career man you know. What's the crazy part of our industries like it's such. There's such a gray area between who we are as performers in who we are as people that it almost trains us to be able to go in and out of it with these and so to jump from one interview where you know. I'm full cackling. Half rounds into you know a regular podcast where we want to talk about the inside of the business or just regular personal stuff It's very easy for me. At least over the course of the last twenty years that i've been at this just kinda weave in and out In in fair it out. It's sort of just like wrestling. Sometimes you have a plane going in the audience tells you they want something different and you got to be able to change it up on the fly. So it's all about kind of reading your audience or your interviewer or where you're at an sort of giving giving what you've got in that arena. I suppose that's interesting Just here roman reigns this week Do the sports illustrated media. Podcast which i used to do before moving to the athletic and He was he. He did exactly what you said set. He he was answering a question about his promos. Any went from sort of talking about the business gradually to basically saying how john is in for a nightmare this week and he did it like within mid sets and i wonder so my thought when i listen to this was like this roman even realized his ability to do this and i want to ask you the same thing like. Are you consciously aware when you answer a question as sort of seth rollins to performer to going into. Seth rollins the character Yeah yeah there is conscious awareness of where you want to take the answer the question sometimes it changes mid answer sometimes You know so. You're you're kind of just train of thought drifts. Stream-of-consciousness turns the answer into something completely different than where you thought you were going to go but oftentimes if i know. There's something a conflict that i really want to sell which is essentially what our businesses You know i will tell you the line a little more than if if it's just me if you're just asking me about you know say random performer. You mentioned rea- ripley right. I've got nothing but good things to say about rea- ripley because i've got no conflict with her. I've done nothing to sell when when it comes to her and so but if he asked me about edge i got a lot to save that guy so just depends on where we want to take the answer but there is definitely a conscious awareness of what we need to do in the business needs to get done. how much do you dictate with whom or with what outlet you will speak to how much do you dictate that how much does wwe dictate that. Or how much is it. Maybe a combination of both. It's combination of both. I mean at the end of the day Especially when we have a major event like summer slam coming up you know. They're putting together as much media as they possibly can To try to promote the said show you know and so it's on us. They come to us with a lot of requests in what we wanna do and Depends on our schedule The level of the media if we liked the interviewer stuff like that i mean. There's lots of stuff going on but at the end of the day. If if i say no you know they're gonna come back and say okay. This is really important to us or okay. I understand your concern will will put somebody else in. The era will get you. Get rid of it completely. So it's definitely a partnership when it comes to You know accepting and rejecting media requests. One of the things. I think that. Wwe has done for a long time. And i think they've done it well and probably the case with other organizations to is there are a lot of times is a priority to get into the main the quote unquote mainstream..

"Two guests this week we are. Uh we're going wide on these guests. Which really like i stopped. Seth rollins if you are a professional wrestling fan. That is a very very familiar. Name is one of the most accomplished performers in the history of. Wwe this week. saturday. August twenty first from legion stadium in paradise nevada. Seth rollins will face edge. That is part of one of the. Wwe's huge cards. Roman reigns verse. John seen bianca belair asha banks. We got a triple threat match. Re-recently charlotte flare nikki. A. s. h. Summer slam is usually really really good card. And seth rollins comes on to talk about one of the topics. I really love talking about on this podcast. And that's sort of the intersection of professional wrestling in media. So chef takes us behind the scenes on just how he used. Promotion howling navigates Interviews his philosophy on promos and how he tries to sort of get the crowd either on his side of the crowd to dislike him. And how much of that is scripted versus non scripted and sets case now at this point is bridged about all of its non scripted on. Then we get into Seth and becky lynch becky lynch real name rebecca quinn. That is Seth rollins wife but A massive performer in her own. Right quite frankly A one of the major stars in in the history of business. Hopefully she'll come back and talk about them. Navigating presses a couple and how they might deal with any kind of Story lines coming together as a running back. Who's been on this podcast discussed When she was broadcasting matches of her husband. John moxley then dean ambrose. And so seth rollins was very cool to sort of go into the. I know it's not stuff. These guys always go into but But really appreciate his honesty. And then we finish with navigating social media for someone. Like seth is massive. You know more than four million Instagram followers and And so. I really enjoyed it. He was an awesome interview. And i really appreciate his time. Art and seth is followed by my colleague at the athletic scott. Dr man who is an iowa based college football writer but he comes on. The podcast discussed the field of dreams. Game in dyers ville he was there What it was like to be there in person how many media people were. there were kind of protocols. They the people in the media had to deal with kind of access they got and whether scott expects Mlb to make this an annual event in iowa we also And very quickly on just the future fry state and iowa with You know the two big schools in the big twelve heading to the sec. "Cancelled the WW network trended for over I think twelve hours in the United States brought this up on the post show but it's worth mentioning again how long it actually trended in the US on twitter that's that's equal to give divas a chance it took a long time go away and wwe heard the message loud and clear that the fans were not happy with the decision of for Seth Rollins to retain the title at helmets L. and it wasn't even that seth retain the title it's the way that it happened where you had a referee stoppage in Helena sell first time I think ever for a rest pitch for what Rock Nestor coming in and killing two people but for basically what happened is Seth had br on the ground he had a bunch of stuff piled on top of him takes out a sledgehammer he questions himself the restaurants talk me out of it says like no no no I'm going to do it seth hits the stuff with the sledgehammer and bray and Aref immediately calls for the bell a call for stretcher for Bray which I don't know I go back I've gone back and forth on this because at one hand yes he's absolutely human being a medical attention he does deserve a stretcher but at the same instance he's a Hor- character do you really want horror character stretchered out no but I need to read something before reaching you okay Rod Peta the official art with Bray motionless and Seth clearly doing whatever is going to take to win that match I had to think of the competitor safety and at that moment I did I thought was best and I was getting to that because I was gonNA bring that up next so Monday night they waited until ten thirty to talk about the match and they just sort of highlighted didn't said that seth had one and then that came out like two Wednesday on the new network and social media show the bump you go there's at ten am eastern on Monday mornings on Wednesday mornings the bump is actually decent show different but yeah so they put that out which didn't really help the situation no it's just pissed more you know it's kind of like just just let sleeping dogs lie on this one don't don't try to defend decision because I feel like this was somebody somewhere that made this choice we have to defend our decision they're wrong that's what it honestly feels like he was actually pissed off that the fans were angry at this and so they made this poor man who was the referee in this match like defend his quote unquote choice to stop the match even though it was really his choice and he's like he's taking the brunt of this and we're all pretty much like double finger no no that's not accept into vote because I mean this led to this whole situation has led to people going on the network which I'm sure made them very happy but when on the network and pull photog- and gifts and stills of past hell in the cell matches and pretty much the most violent ory about even though they filled every sledgehammer they did they did they pulled every sledgehammer moment they pulled every gory violent moment from hellenise Allen Trust me there's a bunch of them long blades they did or take a lot of weight were either triple h you're taker but they pulled this and then proceeded as posted to social media as basically like w t f like this okay but this wasn't and I mean you got it from the human perspective Brian is a person but this character the fiend that he is portraying is not no and he is monster from your nightmares and he's relentless and he's unstoppable in the fact that you had seth rollins get him on his back for probably I five five or so minutes and proceeded to do this while seth running around in the rain like that's the whole thing that was really bothersome about this was not that seth got breakdown that's fine that's totally cool like seth is the beast slayer sess should be very difficult to beat it shouldn't have been easy for for Brady to just walk in and kick crap out of Seth but the fact that breaks laid there motionless for ten minutes now or not to miss but like five minutes is seth proceeds to pile ladders and chairs into boxes and everything else on top of him like that's that's what made this really really hard because it's like well wait a minute this is the guy two months ago or whatever at summer slam massacred Fin Baylor just like eviscerated fan valor. Now he's doing this with seth it just it didn't make sense nothing about this made sense
Women to close out WrestleMania for first time
"WWE is going to make a little history with wrestlemainia this go around at outta MetLife. Big. It's a big deal. It's a huge deal for the first time ever. It's an all woman main event, it's a three way match, you know, with Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, whose champion were raw women's champions around the rousing shallow flair and Becky Lynch does the freeway match. It would be the main event. Some would call it the final match while from us. Call the main event Seles match. Yeah. So. You know, some folks thought maybe Brock listener. And Seth Rollins will be the main event, it's not universal title. This is for the raw women's championship. And you know. It says a huge deal. This is great not just for the business. It's just for the restaurant business, but it's great for women's wrestling because women's wrestling over the past several years has come such a long way, not just from WWE other companies to and the women aren't just looked at as as it used to be years ago. When it just I candy, he's a legitimate athletes. These are legitimate performance legitimate WB superstars, and these three ladies Shala flare rows and Becky alleged. They're gonna tear it down. It's going to be great. It's going to be great. And to do it at MetLife. Another just we're wrestlemanias. Always at these big big stadiums. Just like the SuperBowl, isn't pack them. Okay. You're gonna have close to eighty thousand people. Okay. At wrestlemainia people from all over WorldCom. And that just makes me so proud like as a former wrestler, a former wrestling broadcaster. You know, how many years it's taken? But it's finally like I was saying during the break to you and Andrew bogusch. Not really awesome. How so many worldwide mainstream sports verticals in sports, broadcasts companies, and and worldwide entertainment companies supporting with w w pro wrestling does on their websites on TV just a little while move says, you know, you're going to have Roman reigns. And all ladies the ladies in the main advantages named ought to be a sports center on ESPN on TV. I mean, so and and they're going to be doing suffered ESPN they did stuff last year too. So I'm just saying I just so it's just so refreshing that it's the the entertainment value is respected by the sports world. And the athleticism is is respected by the bulk of the sports world. So, but this is a huge thing. I mean, this is huge. And it's it's happy for I don't be rude. I'm happy for Charlotte flair and Becky Lynch of these ladies they paid their dues a lot of years. Lot of skin in the game. A lot of. A years. Lots of years, okay before WWE, Rhonda Rousey, she's new to the game. She'd been paid dues and the wrestling business. Great great MMA. She's a UFC hall of Famer. She's a amazing grand champion judoka. Which is a a junior champion. So amazing athlete and she brings massive stop power. But I'm old school wrestling traditionalists, and those two other ladies paid a lot of dues flair and Lynch, but Ronda Rousey is helping draw draw the helps draw the main event, obviously because I'm a stop out. Yes, she does. But not as popular as the other two amongst wrestling fans. No rescue domino. You said and you're right. And the reason is because bring name power put the wrestling fan or fans of Becky Lynn me the reason is because of respect. Yeah. Because they know like I just said the wrestling fan knows that those ladies paid a lot of deuce and Rhonda hasn't. But that's not the main reason she she's her character, which is good. They have for doing this more out of health the fans and a bunch of nerds in their basement. She's going that route which is called cheap. It's easy to do that works. It's fine. So that's helping hurt that helps her as a heel as a bad guy dead girl, get that heat. But the fans also know when she talks on a Mike is just terrible is no juicy. There's no other way to put. She's yes. I'm sorry. She's great, and my disrespecting handing she's done athletically, or what she means in for the WWE attached. But I mean, I just look at I look at the other two is just better overall. When you put everything in place. I, you know, I look at them as better overall women rested. And I just want to say this to like anybody who thinks wrassling. I listen, you watch any stuff leading up to the smack just for example, what Shala flare Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, go on YouTube goal. WBZ's website watch the physicality that's happening with these ladies. Yeah. Okay. Watchhouse fifties kicks and punches are that will watch. And so anybody who thinks any different is a dumb ass. It just doesn't stand and they have this archaic thinking, and it's it's sad because that's kind of like uncalled Alec. It's like wrestling's embraced now. It's it's sitting here on a national sports radio show. And we're talking about this. You'll have you'll have broadcasters here on CBS sports radio. Talk about wrestlemanias that leads to on WFAN here. Locally to know wherever you might anywhere anywhere. You live right, right. Talking about this. Because it like I said they're fixing to be on ESPN. Right. It's it's clearly it's clearly more mainstream and has got more mainstream as we've gone along here. And I, you know, put all that, you know, everything you said is true TASR. I just think you look at the growth of the women are the women's wrestler. The woman wrestler in professional wrestling is just remarkable. Because you mentioned in terms of now, I remember the days of sable, right? And not even not even go back where you know, you mentioned candy and everything was calling that stuff. You know that birthday. We'll see. So. So it's so significantly different the way that they're treated and appreciated now much significant. Yeah. And they've earned it. I mean, and they do a great job. I mean, we've interviewed you know, we interviewed Charlotte all week. That's right special winter, she was doing stuff a special, which is which the WWE designate job their outreach into the communities, and helping those that need it, and she talked about that. And and we know how big of a star Becky Lynch's and Ronda Rousey, she's got some work to do in terms of. I don't know if it's ever gonna get there with her on the Mike, but we know how great of a of a physical specimen. Well, then the thing is I do think like just a my opinion that I think they if if if if something McConnell McGregor happens would w w at wrestlemania guy the table set here, you get this main event here like we said earlier, I talked about this earlier. And I'll talk about more on my podcasts on the tashaun get deeper in the woods on the wrestling. But the thing is like you got you got one of the girls listing Becky Lynch and who's probably gonna win the championship. At wrestlemainia, and for those that don't know harmonica. Her name is she's the man so speculates as you know, Muslim. She's the man that's like the gimmick. And 'cause she's the man, but she's a woman. But it's it's just a gimmick. Right. But anyway, she's from Ireland. Okay. We know Conor McGregor is from Ireland. We know Rhonda rows economy McGregor offer ends. I could see something happened where I would strongly predict if f Conor McGregor gets involved. You know, and everybody's gonna hack this for me on this radio station. Just throw some credit over here to task. I would think that Conor McGregor helps Becky somehow some way maybe if he's involved win the match that'd be cool and win the championship. Because then they could go down the road where Rhonda's pissed at McGregor, and they could do something potentially further down the
