Unfolding in Green Bay and his future or lack thereof in green bait. Last week, I popped onto the Dan Patrick Show to talk about the Anna Roger situation. And Dan asked a question asking me to trace back what happened on draft day and the process leading up to ESPN releasing the story on our Rogers. Well, that actually was the first day that I was scheduled to play golf in. Ah, year, one full year and I don't play golf very often, but a few times year it's nice to go out in front was taking me out. And so I do. Dan Patrick, a 10:25 a.m. Eastern, go to play 18 holes with my friend and we were three holes in having a nice, enjoyable day. When I got a text from my boss, Seth Markman. That my name was trending on Twitter, which is never a good sign, And initially I was confused as to why my name could or would be trending, But I guess it came to my attention. As many critics have pointed out that they felt that What their take away on that interview was it was that I intentionally held the story for draft day, which I could tell you was unequivocally 100. Percent wrong. I did not go to Cleveland thinking, boy. I got this Aaron Rodgers story in my back pocket, and I'm gonna drop it on draft day. Baloney never happened. Number one number two. The complaint was that Didn't have sources because I said during that interview that there was an accumulation of information which there was over months. Over a long period of time that I just kept picking up. And so That morning. Made the decision. You know what There were reports that the 40 Niners had reached out to the Packers about Ann Rogers and I said, This isn't gonna hold up and while I didn't go into all the micro details With Dan. Patrick and I made the decision that I better get on this Aaron Rodgers story that morning with that information, and it just felt relevant, of course, at that point You reached out to not one person, not two people. Trip, but multiple people. Multiple people to make sure But the situation has not changed is still unfolding, is updated. Are there additional details that I might add? All of which happened? And if anybody needs to verify this, they can ask my boss set Markman instead of reading headlines on Twitter and even Packers fans to the station. Adam Schefter had no sources for this story. People. Let's be honest. No sources for this story. Are we serious? We think that that morning I just woke up and said, You know what? In fact, it took me a few hours to get that information which didn't come in the final bits of informations and verifications. Until Three. Five or so and we can prove that because why didn't we open NFL live at three o'clock if I had all the information that I wanted That's what we were trying to do. You'll notice that I came out of the end of the segment and said, We'll have breaking news after the segment because the last piece of information that I needed I just come in, and so we opened the B block at about 3 15 eastern and if alive With the animal Roger Story that I was putting together for the rest of the morning. Left out those little details about doing that additional reporting that morning that day on top The accumulation of information. That had come in for the better part of weeks and months. Which is why I didn't address that in Dan Patrick. I inadvertently left out that little detail that when I decided to go with the and Roger story that of course, I was going to go to other people to verify it. Check it out. Make sure was up to date. So disappointing that All this could come up and become a total non issue that became an issue over what Over a story. Crazy. Let me a little journalism lesson right here. Every story has its own rhythm and peace. Some stories. You get a text and you can just report it right away. Their stories take days or weeks to flush out some stories. Take days, even weeks or months, and you never get them and you never report them. The Aaron Rodgers story kept happening, but nobody really verified that. Hey, He has given.

We're back on Monday talking Super Bowl 55. I'll tell you the one reason Patrick Homes in the Chiefs are going to be repeat champions and it's everything to do with the guys. He throws to Keyshawn Jay Williams. You've been six Eastern on ESPN radio. Let me see. It's the Super Bowl is this week. Chris, You've done this game before. What is it like in a week where you are not working the game on air. Um, you know, I can't help myself. I'll be honest with you. I really should not be studying this game when you what I am. You know, I've got the podcast coming up. With Jon Gruden and Richard Sherman. And I don't want to go on their sounds stupid around those two guys, you know, because they're gonna have something and so I've kind of been studying the game. I went back and watched. You know some of John's paper and repent Raiders tapes. Um, you know, when they play these games, I watched the last time these two teams played to get a feel for what happened, Which was a wild game. I mean, it was just crazy. And you know what? You thought Tyree Jill is gonna have 1000 yards in the first quarter of that game West and and it just But I think it's gonna turn out to be a fantastic Super Bowl. I really When I watched the game live. I remember maybe I was getting ready for our game or I can't remember exactly what it was. But it was on and it looks like it was over. It was like 17. Nothing and even Kansas City left the first drive ball on the three yard line or on the one yard line was tried to couple of trick plays, Advocate a field goal and then the game ended up close. I mean, at the end of it was they came all the way back and end up being 27 24. And the Chiefs had to get three first downs. Do not put it back to Brady, which they achieved on DNO. No shock, and I think the lesson learned, and it's gonna be interesting talking to John today on the pod. Is that Is the philosophy and and is the only way to beat these guys. Is to go for it on fourth down is to play off. And so you're just gonna have to outscore. There's just no way that even is greatest San Francisco Awas. Playing defensive football for three quarters against Patrick Mahomes last year. He's still got him in the end, he still got and he got him on a third down and 15 play. So you know, just the philosophy of being in that division plane and twice bm once they're they're only lost and almost beat him the second time. It was a Sunday night game and Kansas City scored in the final 30 seconds to win that one. So this is the guy and Jon Gruden, who I think has a little feel for how do you beat? This thing s so right now you are going to the game right now. Right now. I am not going. Not going to the God I could change right now. I mean, as a as a right now I'm not going. You bring up your family. What is it like to work with your son? Jack was enormously talented and gifted at NBC. And I remember the time that ESPN hired him on remember my great boss. My good friends, Seth Markman. Texting me an email me He was a way to take a look at this clip. I saw this clip of this young kid. Jack, I I know he's Christmas. I think he's really, really good. It takes. I looked at the stuff I tasted my He is really good. He's really good. And ESPN hired him and NBC snatched him away from us. And now you get to work with him. What is that? Like for you? They're kept anything better than that, right? It's really weird. And when Jack was hosting that there's NFL live shows on ESPN. I can't. I must have gotten Hole over 100 different people that would call me and go. I was watching ESPN and then I heard you on there. And then I was like Why? Why is Chris on? ESPN doesn't make anything on my look and it and it was Jack. Apparently, we sound exactly the same now. True. Not true. But, yeah. You know, whatever it is that apparently we found exactly the same. And so it's really weird..

"First Time shooters can go to drink a favor dot com. The hope is that it will be back there at some point. I think the NFL is pretty committed to that. And we'll be back because the plan was so good and the environment would have been so great In the city was was ready for it. You know you know there's an forever This is unique. They understand it But Yeah like Vegas would've been amazing and we'll be again that was ESPN. Seth Markman. Who was talking about? How talent is feeling a little left out that we weren't going to get the extravaganza in Las Vegas. We know the city of Las Vegas. And probably the Las Vegas raiders as well or feeling some of that and we can't wait till we can find out when we do get. Nfl draft back here in the city. So it'll happen at some point. We know. But his quickest everybody would like Ma- maybe maybe not. Maybe we're looking at the believe we had said. Twenty twenty two would be Probability but we still don't have anything new on that but what we do have for you. Here is a mock draft that we're going to get through with picks one through sixteen. We have a lot of names that I think. A lot of people are waiting at the top and so we already know the Bengals redskins. Lions are one two three. I think a lot of people are looking at Joe Borough Chase young and then the three is where it gets interesting for me. Because I we've heard that the lions are maybe looking out to seek out a trade maybe business. Where is like a Simmons goes may be? This were quarterback goes. I Know Adam. This is something on your Nfl MOCK draft. Where you have put on your third version of the chase. Young is actually going third that the redskins are jumping onto at number two. So for me I have gone job roads and then to chase young is they assume ends with a possible question. Mark on trade there for number three. Adam what have you done with your mock draft here on the Review Journal site and What why why do you have to go to your mentioned The third one the fourth one will be coming out later this week in two will no longer be in that to spot even though he should be. I mean I think part of my thinking there was what they should do. The redskins have like nine quarterbacks on the roster actually none that can probably play so. It's a difficult spot to be. But they have acquired tile Allen. I don't really look at him as the answer. I certainly would not look at Wayne. Haskins as the answer. There's also weird rumblings out there about Alex Smith. I think that there's a lot of question marks there for the quarterback and I just feel like you. If you've got a guy like to a WHO could be a generational talent and you feel good about his medicals. You should take up now. The problem is nobody can really get a look at them. The can't really be sure about medicals and I just feel like teams are going to be a little hesitant especially when you have the best player in the draft who has not joe but is chase. Yang a sitting at number two I. I do think they're going to end up taking him Especially with some of the stuff. That's coming out of there. Even though you have smokescreens I just think it's going to be really tough to Patricia. And then three becomes interesting because the best fit. There is the second best player in the draft. Jeff Ikuta but I. I think that they feel they could trade down and still get it so do. The chargers make a move to get the quarterback that they want does another team trying to jump up to. The dolphins gets scared that somebody trades into three or four into they try to move up from five using some of their draft capital to move into that spot. We don't know but if somebody moves up to three. I'd imagine it'll be for a quarterback and then the lions will do what they can to try to get Jessica And we'll see how that works out but there is a lot of questions I think beginning at number three all right Benny to add to that. I mean do you think there's a trade? That happens here Eddie. Think.

"Renter's insurance so guys about a week or so ago where we were talking about the The Michael Jordan documentary. And obviously that's GONNA come out a couple of Sundays from now the first couple of episodes but this whole thing the whole Michael Jordan story at least the the championship version of the Michael Jordan story started with that wind back in. Nineteen ninety-one over the Lakers. And we had Michael. Come on Michael Thompson. Come on and talk about that. And he said at the time that part of the reason that that thing went the way that it did is because James Worthy went down in that series. Take a listen to Michael. I no question in my mind L. Z. That'd be my argument. The people like two dollars. James Worthy went down with a sprained severely sprained ankle game one we went to Chicago and won that game and secured advantage for the rest of the series worthy hurt his ankle and couldn't play the rest of the series and for people like Travis and Ireland and Maybe even keyshawn say well. That wouldn't have made a difference because Jordan was George Pippen. Well okay let's turn things around. We will fully healthy and Scottie. Pippen went down with a at the ankle injury. That basically did a man for the rest of the series. What do you think would have won that series so I will maintain to my my dying days Travis Rodgers? You doubt a you that Michael Jordan would have five six it worthy healthy. No actually am. Let's start right here. Phyllis let's for second assume that Michael's exactly right that the Lakers win that series. If James Worthy stays healthy how different does the Jordan thing? Play out if he's five and one instead of six zero in the finals. It's a totally different sort. I think I think he went. This is what I think I think. Five in one. I think he wins. More championships didn't defy because eventually the Lakers get older. They completely move along. Detroit gets a little bit older. Boston gets older now. He keeps on his run so I think he he's eighty one or something like that. I work there's the question of why Michael Really leave the game. You know there are rumors about a possible suspension. He said he wants to play baseball. We don't know but in order to get to that number key he would have needed to play those seasons and we don't know what makes you think he would have went to play baseball the baseball thing everybody says everybody says all the different stories about why he went to play baseball. Managers probably won't go play as far as I'm concerned okay. Well that's unlikely to me. In order to get eight one. He would immediate those years to get to want guys even if it was eight and one. It's I for million again travis. And then again. I understand what you're saying but Michael Jordan much like mini athletes withers Tom Brady or whether it's tiger woods or a brother Babe Ruth whatever it is. There's a narrative and L. Zeke is speak to this as a writer. Who does these sorts of things? There's a narrative that shapes the story in because Michael Jordan. You want it Michael Jordan to be the greatest. Nba They wanted Michael Jordan and beat the greatest. The the the Marketing World in New York City wanted Michael Jordan Nike want so when you paint a story about a particular athlete and he's doing championships in living in selling shoes. You can paint a story about what the athlete is. Of course you can. Of course you get five and one would still be Michael Jordan because no no no I get that. Get that all all the ex. Yeah I'm with you a hundred percent but how often it you've heard this L Z. You've heard this. I've heard this. We've all heard this a million times when you start having conversations about Michael Jordan relative to other great players whether it's magic or bronner anybody. The response is always at some point in that conversation. Yeah six zero six zero six zero that that is the that is the trump card that they all play and it's the zero. It could be ten in one which is just bonkers crazy. But it's the zero that they hang onto more than anything else if Ben Zero is a one because James Worthy doesn't go down that Michael Jordan still isn't the greatest of All Time. Still one of the most popular players ever still exactly what you just described key but it's a different conversation. If that zero was gone from the back end I think for people who don't like Lebron or don't like this idea that he's the greatest or don't like the fact that he constantly I stuff is king. That's when you really saw the prevalence of the sixty no conversation. Really take heart. I think the Ford Dan. It was just six championships. Oh my God that was enough but she had a up a notch say no because the bronze teams have lost multiple times one or laws more times than they want and so. It's a way of sort of undermining what Lebron is able to accomplish by saying Jordan never lost in the finals. Lebron because Kobe Bryant would have got to six they still would have said six and Old Jordan. It wouldn't just be about in the bronx per. Kobe was never in a conversation of grace ever. No no no. No Kobe. Bryant was in the conversation in his career when he was winning those championships that he could do it with anybody he can win championships. He's kidding. Ready TO CATCH JORDAN. All of those sort of things again that near to was going to be set however the sports writers in the marketing world was going to say whatever they were going to say whether it was going to be the greatest ever or he's compared to Jordan which says greatest ever. Because I'm comparing you to Michael Jordan's that means you the greatest ever. Am I right or wrong? Because if you consider consider Michael Jordan the greatest ever and I'm comparing you to Michael Jordan. That's essentially saying you're the greatest advocate to tell me. Conversation king was different with Kobe. They weren't comparing him to Jordan. They said he imitated short. There you go people compared to no argument with Jordan. The argument with Kobe and Jordan was never the. Kobe was as good as Jordan or a better than Michael Jordan. The argument was this is as close as we come to seeing something like Jordan. It was always his imitation. No Damn thing traveling's not stop better is better than that if this is better than that. That's one argument. But if I say you know what that's the best I've ever seen but this is close to the best that I've ever seen that's entirely the same thing man. No thank you. Thank you very different just like I just said you can shape it however you want same thing right time. That's how I know it's over right. Move Long and brig side Seth Markman. Espn executives going to join us next to talk about some of the challenges of trying to put on the draft when you have thirty two teams and thirty two different locations. That's coming up next on the morning. Show on seven ten. Espn watch called me. Call me as I said before as he's walking to the eighteen hole in their whispering then I will tune in at that point in time but ESPN will be showing a classics. The remainder too weak. Maybe even the next week in that big April Nineteenth Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls documentary. Tim Port serious. We'll be airing on. Espn not wait. I will make sure to send you. A text is on watching key. The next big sporting event that is actually going to take place is the NFL draft joining us right now is vice president of production at ESPN in chargeable NFL STUDIOS. Show joining us here on the sprint people's hotline set. Good morning how are you good morning guys? Great to talk you good. Good morning to hear your voice. I'm sure you're dow hunker down working real hard to get ready for the draft as shifts from Las Vegas back to Bristol. Connecticut says how difficult has it been to coordinate? Not only with the talent to producers but also with the NFL in terms of trying to navigate through this situation. Yeah it's it's it's been really different key. I mean you know we had a great plan For Las Vegas it would have been an absolute spectacle in Las Vegas. Our team was.

what I want then I'll decide you're on a full count them yes yes yes that's been a big so here's what happened right I don't wanna be a countdown I want to be in one of the not that it's not big okay not that it's not big I really want to be on the field I want to be the guy who's on the field you know after the game there on the field postgame stuff that's what I want to do so I go into to Martin's office I said listen I want to be part of your natal coverage because that's how easy it is her had you just walk in about coverage okay and he said here's the deals that love the show love you loves departed I also love Bruce Springsteen if you can get Bruce Springsteen to shake my hand I will allow you to be a part of one NFL pregame show what one NFL pregame show and so what I did then was down that I have a friend who's I believe I want to say his name but I believe Bruce Springsteen is related to a very good friend of mine like second because something like that okay I asked my friend Hey can you get bruised two shakes up more content and my friend said get the hell out here so now I'm wondering if there's anyone around here anyone in our audience that might have access to Bruce Springsteen because they love the show so much I think everyone would love to see me on the pre game show for the NFL where we could somehow arrange a handshake between Bruce and self market Lorenzo you're nodding your head you seem to think that you can get this done I don't think it's possible but I listen we'll check Twitter if there's any what you you're shaking your head yes I don't digress here I need to get back to Bruce Springsteen okay I want to get in the NFL pregame show I have a couple options here but yeah something tells me that you're not gonna be able to get to the real Bruce Springsteen I know you have a lot of friends of connections but I just have a gut feeling that that's not gonna happen okay we need to come up with someone who looks like like a lookalike Bruce sprinkled really can just tricked him okay option one or even a check by the right option might be not as good we just find someone else with the name Bruce breast he didn't specifically say there was John springs okay I am willing to pay top dollar for any Bruce Springsteen out there okay call it talk to Chris talk to Billy tweet us I don't care at level Giorgio anyone when the name Bruce Springsteen you're right technically if I got a lawyer I technically you're right I read reviews get any Bruce Springsteen's exam we are good I don't like the fake perspective because of that is a big fat in pictures of all of the wall but any wrist bracelet if you want to change your name to Bruce Springsteen and then shakes up markets and I agree with that the right price I'll change my name how much we'll talk later let's talk now we're not gonna be here much longer he's leave exit I am you know I'm going higher hundred Bucks I deal you would have been for five thousand dollars to be the man you gotta be demand someone is already so we found the case now we found a Bruce Springsteen in Carmel New York get him get a militia I've always wanted to do that and like book gas with famous names but it's not the actual person so we can tease all shell Elton John will join us later is is a guy named owns and we did that years ago we we can provide a tiger was gonna come on tiger tiger tiger tiger naturally everyone thought it was Tiger Woods end of the show tiger court former Miami hurricanes defensive line and IT workers DSL was your stocks that listening I get that outburst "I'm having dinner without them and that, that to me is what Memorial Day means will allow me to thank you, and Chris Mortensen, and every other person, I know and a real person I don't know who has served for our country and given up their time and made sacrifices for their family as you did as more did as so many others have done, and we all all you a tremendous debt of gratitude. So I would ask you sell so then how do you go from doing what you did drive in that ship, as well as you did to driving those live shots, as well as you have for twenty four years freeze over twenty four years? Right. Like we are closing in on twenty five years free, his nobody's done it longer. And at a higher level than you. Well, you know. Longevity in his businesses tough, and, you know what I tell aspiring broadcasters or journalists, is you gotta have proper prior preparation to prevent poor performance is something I learned in the navy. It's the six Ps, proper prior preparation prevents poor performance, and I still rehearse and I still make sure that I know exactly what I'm talking about at all times, and I still try to bring it. I try to bring, you know that whole Joe DiMaggio thing you know, no matter what you're doing in your craft try to do it to the best of your ability with that with that extra pep in your step at all times. Because you never know if the person watching is watching for the first time you ever imagine leaving the navy that you would work the way you have for one company doing what you have for this long period of time. I've been super lucky the answer to that is definitely no super lucky. I've had great people in my life at ESPN Jim Cohen who hired me Seth Markman, who is the godfather of all things NFL at ESPN has been such a promoter of my career when I wrote Phillies special, he was the first person that ESPN that I think meek knowledge moments. Stephanie, Julie norby Williamson. I mean, the list goes on and on and on, of people that I've had close to me, who have been make people came out and newspapers like Chuck, solid, pseudo. You know, guys people who understood how to do the job at understood that I had something to contribute. And I always like to say, again, to my students, sometimes ESPN you get to play quarterback. Like I do on Sunday mornings at Lincoln financial field. But when I go to the Super Bowl, I'm the right guard. And that's the key to understanding the culture at ESPN. Sometimes you get to play quarterback, but you'd be better be ready to play special teams when they ask you where do you teach students sell. You a class that you teach I teach all over the country out of mental I taught as an adjunct at Saint Jones for six years, I take teach young broadcasters and something called the scholastic broadcast camp every summer that it's done. It's based at affiliate, but it's based, it has camps all over the country. And then I'm asked to to go and teach classes at different universities and colleges all the time. And whenever I can I try to talk to them because it's tough now to get a job. And it's really hard to keep them, you know, twenty five years at Disney, you know what they give you for that cell, which is the statue for twenty five. I checked it out before I came on tinker. Bell is twenty five years. You tinker bell. L statue coming and I believe, if my fact checking is accurate that you get a similar statue at twenty. Do you have a simple statute from twenty I have Mustafa said, twenty I believe, yes, I have still I gave it to my granddaughter Kira? I wanted her to have it. She loves The Lion King. And she can't believe that I have that statue. Simba mustafa. That's a lot of styling of a single statue from Disney yet. Don't worry you're gonna own the company. I don't ever single stats show in your role as news gatherer Sunday sideline reporter who is the best interview that you've ever done. You know..

"Hundred fifty four passing yards six touchdowns plus fifty three rushing I wanna say like five of those touchdowns came in the first half. So just one person me, but if a car Rudolph, so let me explain the reason why I made the case for off before we get to the others and also received votes when I think about a player that seemingly came out of nowhere. Like, I wouldn't vote for someone that wasn't being you. Allies in lineups at all not a single person. Playing in the championship was like. Yep. Can't wait to insert Blake jar win in week seventeen. Howard up as a player that you had stood by throughout the season. Not because he had been good. But because no tight ends are good. There's literally like three good tight ends. So without a reasonable option to replace Colorado with you probably just tried to figure it out at other business you set out. Hopefully, my running backs are good enough to win this week. He went eleven straight games without a touchdown. He had five catches for thirty yards over the two weeks prior to this game. And on that game. He came out with thirty three point two fantasy points of close. Of course, the hail Mary at the end of the first half of monster monster game, like I would not be surprised if covered off with started in like, I don't know like a reasonable amount of leagues that were still playing in week seventeen wouldn't stunned me. Whereas I think some of the other guys in this list, Nomo planum, hence, my reasoning. Well, we all play in the war room league writer at at ESPN and the the champion of the league. Seth Markman our fearless leader who oversees all the NFL coverage for ESPN who plays league won the league this year. And he did it in part because of Derrick Henry who was my vote. So I really looked at the the description here the best performance that seemingly came out of nowhere. That's the first sentence of the description here, and you think about Derrick Henry who has certainly rostered and tunnel leagues. And in fact, he was started the reason I bring up Seth is because Derrick Henry is one of the reasons he won the championship. He started him in this week fourteen. We certainly heard from a number of people on Twitter that lost because they were facing Derrick Henry or manage to survive in advance because of Derrick Henry you think about Jacksonville entering week fourteen second he was running back points allowed six running back rushing yards allowed seven fewest running back yards per game. So it was a very good run defense for Jacksonville. And then Derrick Henry if you think back to that week three game when the titans and the Jaguars played the first time of the season. Derrick Henry got. More carries in week three at Jacksonville eighteen than he did in this game. He managed a sixty seven yards. So he'd already failed basically against Jacksonville. They were red hot Dion Lewis had been been more of the primary guy. However he had been scoring touchdowns coming into that game. And so people I think reluctantly started him hoping he would fall into the into the end zone. Seventeen carries two hundred thirty eight yards. Four touchdowns. Forty seven point eight fantasy points came out of nowhere to me. He's the winner. You got the vote as well. Yeah. Pretty much the same stats that. I was looking at. And it was the, you know, if you follow this podcast for a while we and we're talking about this before show. You've heard us use the term fantasies on being the way. This is a player. We are trying to side if you really qualified as that because he wasn't really good to start the season and then disappeared, but I think the expectation was Derrick Henry was gonna have so much more opportunity with DeMarco Murray being gone, you thought he was going to be a solid performer. It didn't happen you probably gave up on him. And then these these few weeks at the end of the season came out of nowhere. Congratulations. Derrick Henry who wins award one warned to goes to the show. That is not what we practiced at all..

"In to the Friday edition of the fantasy focus football podcast. What I should have said is Aloha to the Friday dish. Because this is a low ha Friday, let you do you do you in shape and have some sort of not ical plans this weekend. Now, we're going to we're going to her holiday party tonight. We started off with not I was a little nervous. Oh, sure. Fair fair. But now that we're live on Twitter. I have to clean it a lot. So actually the backstory is my dad for those. I think many of the people in this podcast audience know, my dad's from Hawaii and one of the great harbor in Hawaii. I don't. You started school sorta high school at punahou. Which is where Barack Obama went as well finished high school in DC with the boarding school. At that point. He became a stateside, man. He's now lived in Boston for the entirety of his his adult life after go into Haverford college in Philadelphia, but grew up in Hawaii until has deep roots, and certainly like born there you have a special bond with with people his favorite football players. Marcus mariota like his favorite athletes. Have always been players at hail from Hawaii and raise them, nothing, but Donohoe music. Yes, lele. Of course, got it. Right. Understood. Yep. Say you actually knew that rain Spooner is every year. My dad like growing up every year. My my dad for Christmas would always get me rain, Spooner Hawaiian shirt. So it's Christmas season at his time of the year to buy it. And so rain Spooner twenty eighteen addition ear so they are so low how Friday all the way through shout out to pop up. Bill Gates, so yeah, just a just a simple humble man who loves us. Aloha friday. So, you know. Well, show simple. Humble, man. You dare. Henry shadow tall. You guys that managed to start Derrick Henry or all the first place teams that played the the crappy team that just snuck into the playoffs like six and seven and got in like on some sort of like tiebreaker and his all beat up and just had to throw in Derrick Henry because they had no one else in your wake up this morning going like I crushed all season long. And then this like what what what that happened in the league? It's the happen to me. But yeah, I've I've a buddy that that happened to that has the first place team crushed all year long, and is gonna lose. I can't tell you. How many people tweeted the meat last night? And they're like Matthew must be playing again tonight. That's the only explanation for four touchdowns I managed to avoid Derrick Henry, thankfully, and all my playoff. But you know, who did not have that. Yeah. Yeah. You know, who no in all seriousness? You know, who did not avoid scottclark about our friends. Scottclark at all biz. So do we have to redefine what it means to get scottclark? Like, I think God's got Clark. Our our our boss here Seth Markman at Tunas weasel on the Twitter. Started Henry of the league of the war room league him against scottclark in the playoffs. Like the next time set comes down for performance review. And you'd be like field here all the things you need to do better. Just let me set your lineup this day. He apparently is the goat when it comes to fantasy football gave me a lot of games in total. Of course that really quickly just because I want to say this. We did hear back yesterday about ZipRecruiter smarter span the week, we left that open. I just want to solve that right now Andrew ball. That was our former marine that was the we put him up for the week if he wanted it. He said he would take a man's league entry. Instead, it's hip recruiter smarts fan of the week so Joshua. Buck will be this week's ZipRecruiter. Smartest fan of the week. And Andrew Baalbek will be in the man's league. In twenty thousand nineteen okay? Cliff notes version Matthew is we had two awesome entries one which Larry and funny and one which was about how someone would take you to war with him because you would be a great. Outlet for those that are in war. Basically every platoon has a guy that brings intentional and unintentional comedy. And it was like eraser comedies intentional and fairness..

"Titans chargers. Texans Jaguars Cowboys, Redskins Bengals chiefs. These are the games that two months from now we're gonna be talking about who won this game as tiebreaking scenarios. Well, so as you start to project and we're now in the middle of the season years, we started project towards the playoffs. These are games that when you're talking about wild card for the divisional. You're talking about the visual races who the team that wins game. They're going to have a big leg up as as we get towards the high unusual how that happens. There are some weeks in the NFL where some of the matchup lack some sizzle, right? And then you get a weekend like this one in week seven, where there is a ton of sizzle. There's a ton of storylines a ton of games to talk about, and that doesn't even those five that I mentioned that doesn't even include some of the AFC NFC matchups bears patriots, saints ravens that that are really good games. You bring up the saints ravens. So we get a top offense versus a top defense and the saints offense has been tremendous and the ravens defense has been commended, what do you make of this match? It really has and all the talk about how great the chiefs and the Rams offense they have, they, I'm not downplaying that at all, but the saints lead the NFL in scoring offense right now. And this will be the eighth time in the last fifteen seasons. We've got top scoring offense against top scoring defense week, five or later we actually saw it. Just a few weeks ago at the Jaguars and the chiefs. Now the offense has won six of the previous seven games. So as you're looking ahead to Saint ravens, the offense, at least historically in these examples has had the advantage. Obviously, we saw the chiefs beat the Jaguars through two fourteen that defense ad was number one score divas at the time. Obviously, we've seen since then, Jacksonville defense certainly struggling over the last few games, but the ravens with their performance against the titans of week. Six now have a whole different animal deal with drew Brees and it's going to be an historic day for drew. 'cause I could agree that he's gonna throw that one past one touchdown for five hundred. It could be historic in another way. Interesting. Note that that I've been talking about with some of the the crew on Sunday countdown. The ravens are the only one of the thirty two current NFL franchises that drew Brees has never beaten in his career so he could beat the rabies and throw five touchdown pass all in the my favorite game in week seven. I think it's ravens couldn't agree more. You know, it's funny. Every Sunday in the war room, Seth Markman. Who is the NFL coordinating producer or now vice president, right? Yes, absolute. We look at the games the matchups 'cause he assigns the reporter. He always sends it over to me. What do you think of these games? And when he showed me the schedule for this week, the first game that I looked at was the ravens Sanchez said that to me is the best game of the week.
