NSBA Coordinated With White House, DOJ Before Sending Notorious 'Domestic Terrorists' Letter

"The national school board association of America coordinated with The White House Department of Justice before sending notorious domestic terrorists letter. Fox News reports. Newly released internal emails. People that the national school board association coordinated with The White House and Department of Justice before sending Biden the notorious letter that compared concerned parrots to domestic terrorists. Viola Garcia, the national school board association president, whom the Department of Education later named to a federal board sent a memo to the national school board association of America on October 11th. Providing a timeline of the national school board association's interaction with The White House ahead of the letter to Biden, which the national school board association sent on September 29th. Concern over the current climate for school board members is also a top priority as disruptions at school board meetings grow and members face growing threats, Garcia wrote, the national school board association of America is actively engaged with The White House from justice and Department of Homeland Security and Department of Education Surgeon General and other federal agencies on pandemic issues. But here's the most important thing, is that on September 14th, 2021, the nspo a organization of state directors, they were informed that they had a meeting with The White House. And subsequently on September 17th, the interim executive director emailed noticed to the state association executive directors that indicated a letter requesting federal assistance would be sent. In response to the letter sent by NSPA, on October 4th, 2021, the attorney general announced in a memorandum, widely shared throughout the U.S. Department of Justice that he was ordering all U.S. attorney officers and local FBI offices to reach out to local and state law enforcement officials to coordinate efforts on this problem within 30 days of the memorandum. This also contradicts what Merrick Garland said to Congress on October 27th. When dick Durbin asked Garland if he had second thoughts following the NSPA's apology for the letter, and Garland said quote, the letter that was subsequently sent does not change the association's concern of violence or threats of violence. It alters some of the language in the letter that we did not rely on is not contained in my own memorandum. So basically, here's what happened. Is you had collusion going on with the national school board association of America with The White House privately. They concocted this letter and then they sent the letter publicly that The White House had then the mandate to go to the Department of Justice to go say we now want to go spy on moms and dads, treat them like domestic terrorists and use the Patriot Act against people we don't

"Yeah again going back to Garland you know it was interesting when they asked him about this case and he said he didn't know about it but it sounds like a state issue No no what we're talking about is violating federal law title 9 perhaps more Meanwhile when we're talking about domestic terrorism what we're talking about is state law right State law things like trespass disorderly conduct Those are state issues The Department of Justice has its priorities all backwards because it's completely politicized by this administration And you worked at the department justice right I absolutely did Mark And I can tell you one thing that letter from the NSPA came out on September 29th and they were able to turn around and memo in two business days I mean those things take weeks You got to tell the U.S. attorneys You got to tell office of legal counsel obviously the policy You got to coordinate with other cabinets and departments that are involved Please that thing was done probably written well beforehand and given to the attorney general when it was convenient when they got that in FDA letter It's a complete inside job and the Republicans need to stay on this People by the way you can foia the United States Department of Justice and see the internally who wrote the memo who was responsible for the memo who signed off on the memo any other communications that took place too So I would just tell my audience you know hundreds and hundreds of you ought to pile on and file those frequent information act and fire them right into the Department of

"Broken. Chadli what time is it It's pure thirty there. Tanner is beer. Thirty welcome in side of the auto collision specialists studios chad young. Dr michael mosier Brian gary i m tanner swint thanks for being with us here on broucek beer. Thirty for all of you newbies out there. Listen up brian. I'm talking to you. We try this beer. We judge based on the art of the can work. We judge based on style of the beer. What we know what we talk about what you like about it. What you don't like about it And it's your personal. Would you buy this again. Type of rating. Eight and above is brute approved. Anything below is not. It's gotta be the average of all of our votes doc. You brought this beer in. Let's go ahead and introduce it. Yeah so this is a dogfish head Which is out of delaware This is their sixty minute. Ip a now they do make a ninety minute and one hundred twenty minute And so this is just their sixty minute The label says continually hopped for sixty minutes for an intense yet enticing hop centric experience. Yeah so nice. Green can with it. Yeah it's all over right and it's got the signature dog Dogfish stuff on there as well This one smells like it's going to be a hop bomb big time but i'm not necessarily getting there right off the bat on the on the flea and that's kind of what i like about this beer. You get that great hop knows but it doesn't punching the face. It's not that you know it's not. It's not pallet buster. Right right now and i was a little bit worried about it. Coming off of that pros. The vienna lager. I didn't know what this was going to be like. And it's definitely i mean. There's a stark contrast for what we were just drinking. But it doesn't have that that bite at the end Does have a nice piney does it. It's definitely your old west coast style. ip which. I definitely a heavier knows than it does. The taste buds. Yeah i mean like you were saying there's a lot of whiskies that hit you and then it tastes a little different and the same thing with this where you're right when it hits your nose you're expecting About a different outcome than what you get from this because it's again it doesn't linger afterwards. It's got a nice clean finish to it. Yeah no this is a type of beer for any like newbie to the craft craft beer world of you smell this. You're running the other way down. This could be scary. If you're just a nose. But then i agree with you because honestly as i started to drink it i went. Oh crap how. Am i going to say something good about this. This is not the way. I wanna start this night but it is surprisingly different than what hits you in the nose. Why is i mean what creates that strong aroma. But then not the well. Real happy for hops can lend three different things to a beer depending upon when they're added if they're added early during the boiling process They'll add just the bidding flavor to the end of the beer if they're added towards the end of the boiling process. They'll add flavors and if they're added at the very end of the oil the land the aroma so if they added a lot of hops at the aroma stage and a lot of hops at the battering stage they might just have a beer with the big aroma and not much flavor. Yeah here. I think they did. I think they did a little bit of everything. Yeah no they. They definitely did obviously went big on the aroma on this nice golden color around it. The the head sticks around for quite a while to That's one thing. I took away from it Dogfish head the sixty minute. I yeah i mean the the head is actually very appropriate for the style. it's an ip sue with as much Hop aroma and hop flavor. and embittering hops. That you would expect that are in there. He would also expect the head to stick around. It's nice White foamy head on top with full of little tiny bubbles which is really great for me is a beer drinker I love the experience of tasting the foam right with the beer the same time. Well i was just gonna say For traditional i. fans this is right there. I mean th this is right. There chad has been heaven with this. This is a great beer barely meal alone and it's quite different than the beer that we had as the table. Beer and tried in the most recent episodes episodes. We're talking about october fest. Type years very multi. This is quite the opposite you know. We talked a lot about. What do you drink during the seasons right because the seasons can dictate what you order in. What does styles of beer are on tap. This is pretty Pretty universal beer too because you can have one of these you know on summer nights and this is also got enough of that that warmness that little bit of burn that you can drink this during the wintertime too So this is one that i would assume that that regardless of the season You've got a pretty good chance of ordering this be. I could drink this all year long leisure six percent. Abc on this Any thoughts from you brian. No i again i was. This is one of those that once you tasted it feels so much different than what. You're expecting I was surprised. I loved the can. I love the design. And i was anxious to try it because i think the look is really cool and i liked the name and i'm like yeah this okay i wanna try it then again. The nose hit me wasn't sure and now it. Each sip tastes better than the one. Before right. you know this actually gets better as you drink it so that could be a dangerous situation. It's fun situation. Dr member the energy when the show started All right any final thoughts from anybody else on a sixty minute. Ip well and we're also drinking at room temperature rather ryan icy cold so you can taste every single flavor right absolutely all right Let's get into the ratings Let's see let's start with chad. I here on this one with again. Eight and above is talk approved. Anything blow is not. It's to be the average. This is right up my alley. I could like i said i drink this year. Round doc vish had great very. I'm going with a nine and a half now right. That's a big one. That's big one. Their doc yeah Believe it or not. I think he's right where it needs to be. This is the quintessential west coast. Ipa made on the east coast. This is a nine and a half for me as well. All right brian. Yeah new at the rating scale and Just because i liked it a lot. I'm gonna go just a little different. I'll just go nine now. That yeah i thought it was very very good. No i i'm right there to this is right up the alley. This is not necessarily a particularly my style But there's always a place for this You know we're having dinner. Maybe having a little bit more of a hearty dinner you want something at this. This is up my alley for sure. i'm gonna go nine point three on this nine point three for me which does keep the average above nine in does make it through talk. Approved down for the winner at there was very well done. That's a good beer. That's dogfish doesn't mess up. I mean that's another one that was bruised and we're talking about they just don't they've done some really interesting ones to were. They've done some interesting like go back and look at the history of beer production and make a beer. That would be like what you'd had an ancient egypt. They've tried They've got one hundred and twenty minute. Ipa which that's actually how long it takes brian to watch sixty minutes. Do you have any other. new materials. Breakout heard ryan. He's laughing really. That is so those to go on now. You have voted on this one good. One god's tanner his four hundred one. Now i've got one on the board. Well if anyone was listening to my show earlier. I'm already up like twelve.

"Gosh i don't know and october fact tober fast all right. How about you brian. I'm a very simple man and my answer was pretty much because mine mine would be george strait in a bottle of mussa. I like that. I like so that means europe. Max i know it's monte expanding. The mustache fits the montoc brand too by the way. That's why i've been growing it. I've got an endorsement deal kentucky beer no and not up. It's going to do that. What is it five ninety nine for a six pack of tall boys with monty. Wow it's actually not we. We're doing the best bad beers we could think of. And i brought that in. It wasn't terribly bad. It's not in montana. It's not burden. Kentucky's brewing wisconsin. But they called it montani for some reason. I think it's because it's halfway there. And i think that i should absolutely be the spokesperson for you to see me on the horse with some stupid hat this monarchy. You should drink it. That should be your name because you like. Yeah i can totally see that The the one concert that i would go to That's actually a really good question. Because i i don't know there's a lot of people that i haven't seen i think brooks and dunn would have been a lot of fun to see in concert so i'll say bricks and done and i will go with a. I'm i'm going to go to haiti. I think he's epa going. Enjoy a brooks and dunn counselor. And i would be the only one drinking brixham dot com. I was just gonna say it. Looks like some other beers. So it'd be put chucky cover over there. Let let us know what your thoughts are. What what concert. What beer would you have in your hand if you got to pick By the way what what. We got here chad. It in the pros vs their vienna lager. So perfect time of the year for first time of the year for it to you know in keeping with german theme the week so i thought why not well and it's just a reminder to because brian earlier he thought it would be heavier because of the darker color on it not necessarily always the case And that was one of the first lessons. I had to learn. Well thank you This i enjoy the education and I'm here for the you the advance course so we always well. Actually the first time. I remember it was the barley line and that was a talk to learn from. Yeah barley wines Normally range from twelve ten to twelve percent. Higher plus barley wine is wine made from barley instead of from grapes. Oh so it's kinda like it. Sounds context clues. Brian context exclude. No we so we. There was the first. I was nervous. I had just started drinking craft beer. I didn't know anything because i was obviously a farm. Kid michelob. ultra out of the bottle. From when i was six months all the way on and they started drink. Crappier and i get the head guy. Unc brewing laboratory scientists coming down. One the hell am. I gonna talk about with him and he brought in of course barley wines. Chad was outta town. That and so. I'm nervous pound the first couple call for a ride by the time the show i mean we had. We had four or five of those at dead ten to sixteen percent and Yeah that was a quick and tricks. That is dark heavier. Okay so just so you when you get into that. There are dark light beers and their dark heavy beers. Those dark heavy beers. Let me write that down because that sounds like an evening i want but at least this one is really nice. Light with october fest theme. It's just awesome spin around. Yeah yeah absolutely a nice nice and smooth drinker. Everything like that when we come back on the other side we've gotta dogfish head Ip doing for beer. thirty nice. i knew has brian. You're fourteen years old when we come back we'll get into your thirty. Th brew talk radio on the voice one. The three one at thirteen ten. Kfi.

"Right. It was it's exactly what it is now and now we've been having a debate for quite a while. About how long will this trend last and about two weeks ago we determined it's dead. We have determined. It's dead so you heard it here. First celtics are gone. You can't even buy more. Then why do all the ladies. I hang around with him full of them while you're hanging out with ladies. I'm telling you know she's okay to make sure i'm in touch with my feminine side. Good yeah so but zima no no no no no absolutely not i gotta quit tiki. But he goes out late on. Tuesday nights zima. No no no. That's a good show folks. Thanks for joining the energy in. This room is like pagan off the wall. It is absolutely electric. That's what he to get to business owners and keep them out late. And that's right doc. Running on fumes from linda. How was the concert. The concert was actually really good If you've never seen leonard's candid whether you're like their music or not. They really know how to get the crowd. All amped up and riled up and is very very loud too so unfortunately my ears don't care for the loudness but But their catalog of music. I mean even the album's they've put out in the last decade have been fantastic. Johnny van zandt still just has that voice unmistakable. I agree i agree. And tesla opened for them and real test. Let which isn't the kind of music that you would say. The same genre loved them both renaissance album correct so they did a lot of really good songs from mechanical res- renaissance and a whole bunch of other songs. There too that just really had the crowd go and standing on their feet. Cheer and then out came leonard skinner than did the same thing so it was a high energy night. It really burned your energy at that altitude to. I can't do shows at red rocks. I just can't unless you can airlift mine but dropped me and my see we were. We were thinking elevators or escalators. Or something like that. Would be a really big plus. Yeah i don't know why they well and you know they they hit so many Raves down there and and like the edm type of music that those people are all on acid and don't care how far they have to walk. Anyways i don't know is that just. A stereotype was a little bit of a stereotype. Just is just a touch. Yeah you you think okay park up at the top and walked down to your see yes or do you park at the bottom and walk up to your parts of the top and walk down But at the end you have to walk back okay. Strong point i still go with the with the up top I've been to red rocks once in the one time that i went My buddy had a couple of lou combs Concert tickets That we went to sorry about that as a real radio professional over here got that going of us have our phones off. Thank you know Work with pros. Who went to Lou combs on mother's day and my buddy had I i bought the limo. He got the tickets. And i should joy she didn't go. Oh i know. I left early on mother's day. I know trust me. I know. I know you're more of a jerk than i really haven't seen that. I you had a high level of jerks but you just went above it when you get. You know you ghost your mother on mother's day so the night started off pad the way that it was. I got to the limo and the limo driver steps out. And we're wearing the exact same shirt Business bureau and i was like. Are you kidding me like they. It was like my favorite shirt. I i shouldn't but i'm like okay. You know we're fine. We'll bounce back from this whole about halfway the on the right down there. I've been drinking already and Somebody i no big surprise Somebody popped out some fireball shots. And i took a shooter in hit my stomach completely wrong. And it flipped and i may or may not have vomited a little bit in the back of the limo. So this is how well this nights going And we get up to red rocks. Finally isn't yeah for sure. And i hope she's not listening right now too but then we get up there and they drop right at the top we get right in line and then at the same time our tickets were kind of in the upper portion done right back to the top and get out and go and it wasn't a problem and also i highly recommend if you go to red rocks get a limo. That's where the moral story is. I was waiting for you to say switch shirts with a limo driver. Because i tried. That's when you stop by the vendor stuff and for four hundred and seventy two dollars for for that. Everybody is red right here. Renting limos you got money to burn it was real just bob down the street and his suv. Bobby's good is. There is is red rocks the best concert video in colorado. I dunno pretty good. I think red rocks in in my heart is the best in colorado. Michelle walk is a close. Second mishawaka hitter canyon okay. It's a much smaller venue but it's outdoors and it's right on the river. It's very colorado. Yeah i mean. It's one of those that that artists love to come here and go and hang out there and play. I remember seeing jerry jeff walker and many many others up there. It's always it's always been a great time there but but red rocks has that mystique. I mean the legendary status that goes with it you know. Cheyenne has a legendary status people. Play there where. Honestly i think it's a crappy concert venue. It is I have trouble seeing a show there. You don't really see it. It's so big spread out on if you're up in the in the seats all the overhead ones hang down to low and you either. It's if people are standing up and your five eight Would know from experience. But then it's tough to see over that people in front of you too so so i'm gonna throw A vote in for hudson gardens though. I actually really liked that one really. It's on grass. You bring your own chairs. And i've seen skinner at that one as well. It was a really good show now. Red rocks has such tradition and artists. Have this. it's like a church right when they get to play. They're one of the best shows i ever saw. They're coming for me. Now was was at the denver botanical gardens and they have a little venue in there. It's like a little bowl setting y'all ever been in there The mavericks and my friends. The last band dilara. Sarah few years ago and that setting was absolutely gorgeous to to sit and enjoy show so we really have a lot of great venues but i gotta say red rocks because of the to show when you think of so. Many artists who've had their legendary shows at red rocks. You know i gotta go there. Yeah and there's a. There's a great deal what i like about rhetoric to is that It's not just your coors light. It's not just your bud light. They've actually got a good selection of beer in if you're going to a concert on czar. You're going to have a couple of adult beverages. That selection of beer can go a long way of making or breaking concert. Venue as well. I've never had a drink at red rocks. Believe it or not. I don't believe that. I had one the other night. A little pricey right. Yeah they're going to be. Somebody usually have much many more beverages in the parking lot than i do in the actual venue right. Yeah you're right. Whatever money saving beer. I bring you know you're paying somebody to haul it all the way up there. So that labor cost. Yeah that's exactly right. You're listening to the brutal containers. Schwinn chad young one of the tavern. Dr mosier with ruin five. Brian gary sitting in for the evening when we come back on the other side. Let's talk a little bit more about beer festivals and music and how those two can make or break. Your experiences brute talk radio.

The of the river on the steelhead trout and during the tapu solid over one was phenomenal. Doing really big fish fan but it was. It was great. You like a smoked trout and stuff like that. Okay and the next one's next month. Which last tuesday of every month last year like church got it. Well yeah it's dry dock coming up there. I and i've been to one of the parents before with drydock in it is phenomenal. She came back with this new love of beer. The always a good thing now i. It was interesting because she was never one who liked anything with any weight to it. You know what i mean. Ryan came to beer. No she was very much a hate to say it. But the michelob. Ultra high kind of beer drinker and she got to experience real beer when it was you know when it warms a bit you know we all think ice cold beer. You gotta get the ice cold beer. She got to actually taste the flavor of supposed to be like and now. She's become a bit of a beer snob where she needs. She needs a beer. That's got some reason to it. You know what i mean. Yeah of course. And and those are the cool experiences. That'll change somebody from being that mcculloch and there's a spot for mclovin baltra bud light and in chattanooga and even donald talking about this alarm when we go out golfing or something like that something like that has its place. Chad down celtics. Like you've never seen before.

Sometimes the best one in the city they say and she went there and she said it was like a war zone outside the outside the restaurant. It's terrible she had never car break ins right there in this really beautiful part of town and you think what is going on here we've got it's gotten much worse So some of this is just as politics. I mean we have a Da surpri brilliant guy. Who says that. We shouldn't prosecute anybody's long as you don't take more than nine hundred dollars. Well that's what just go out and get eight fifty to crack and you're okay in san francisco. I mean the where the messages used sand right exactly. So that's what's happened. It's like everything's free here and people. They literally have closed down. Eleven out of twelve walgreens because people were just walk into the raw. Grins drugstores and grabbing stuff and walking out. Well okay walgreens said okay. Well this isn't a good business model for us. We're not exactly making a profit off our san francisco clientele and so it hurts. Everybody in our city is kept up wonderfully but a lot because if taxes I i have a client. That's a small hotel owner. And he pays seventy thousand dollars a month for small hotel in taxes to the city. Now now now. That's a small hotel. That's a forty room hotel now. What happens about the bigger ones this. The money floods in the conventions. The money floods in Even parking tickets in san francisco and traffic defines get one hundred million dollars a year for the city. That's a stunning stunning amount for a very small place. But what once you allow this to happen now. The whole financial base of the is going to be affected. and then what happens Now you know things are really going downhill fast. So i think a lot of this comes from you know are well-intentioned Progressive politics It's very well intention. I know just does not work in practice. We've shown that time and time again every laboratory. That's tried it of venezuela's he goodwin right today. But every everyone that's where we've tried it is it. It's been disaster and people people's living standards have all universally declined and the people hurt most the poor and the striving The striving people who wanna better themselves those are the people that are hurt the people we wanna most help. And it's just a shame and people have got to get tough love here and realized that commonsense. I don't care if you're a. Moderate democrat or republican. Commonsense is what we need to search. Certa start using here and and not being ashamed of it So many people are ashamed of imposing their values on other people That we have to sort of you know. Stand up in the in walk right. And then just sharing not even imposing sharing their values and as you reference john commonsense in short supply is sears..

"The only one caught off guard on this one. This as the man. Who shot president ronald reagan and three others in nineteen eighty one assassination attempt. Well he's going to be granted. An unconditional release by judge. This likely makes him the first person to ever shoot a president and live to see freedom again justice or is justice being served eight forty now. Northern colorado's voice one. Oh three one. Thirteen ten kfi k. A. mornings with gail from the auto collision specialists studios. I don't know about you but this is a head scratcher for me We'll find out what legal analyst and author john o'connor author of post gate how the washington post betrayed deep throat covered up watergate and began today's partisan advocacy journalism feels john. Welcome back to the show. Is this rather unprecedented. Will it is in the sense that you mentioned in that. Is that That this is the first presidential assassin. That's ever been. Let free. But what i would say is this. I think today we recognize that. There are a lot of crazies out there to call them that. It's maybe it's not a good term. But but i think you know what i mean. And in the case of john. Hinckley the moral culpability. Here is less than by this mental problems. We've got so many people out there that have gone crazy and because mental disease or defect That this doesn't bother me at all now on the other hand had You know you get a guy like sirhan sirhan or somebody like that. And i say look to throw away the key. Throw away the key Let's let's because then you're sending a message to other people who are rational actors but the problem with deterrence And and punishment both are that. They're not good. They don't help out society if Somebody's crazy And so the message doesn't get to a crazy person. And that's why i'm not. This doesn't offend me. Understand how the reagan family feels. But i don't think there's anything wrong with this Again if he if he were more of an evil rational act even if you little little some people. I mean everybody who should. Somebody's a little bit off. But this guy was way off and just didn't know what was up from down so To me i. I'm not i'm not bothered by this. Let me put it that way fascinating to hear. I mean you know because you're balancing. I mean his debt to society Justice being served. And i've heard from several of my mornings with gail family asking that very question. I mean i is justice being served with his release but it was interesting because patty davis his daughter wrote. I believe it was years ago when my father was lying in a hospital bed of course referring to president ronald reagan recovering from the gunshots. That nearly killed him he said i know. My ability to heal depends on my willingness to forgive john. Hinckley she said. I too believe in forgiveness but forgiving..

"Everything doesn't have to send us currying to are respected. Partisan corners you had complete colorado investigative journalist webb county political insider sherry. Pii f- Teaming up with a former greeley councilman debbie pills to oppose to greeley homeroom charter Change initiatives related to water to g and to age that are appearing on the november ballot and great piece incomplete colorado just jump online to complete colorado dot com and click on that page to link and sherry. I have to admit i. I love the headline here. It is and pilch protect. Greeley's water vote no on questions to g to exactly well and that's exactly what it is. I mean i think debbie and i have been Going around the city several different times already. We've got a few more events plans but we jokingly call it the truth train Because we you know. I've known before couple of decades anyway Dating back to when she was on the city council. Maybe a little bit before and we are. We've remained friends we Have always been very much about friends over politics and we started many times that we've agreed on things but we started to notice a while back that her face page. When it came to the terry ranch water aquifer and the to charter amendments was looking very similar to my own and She contacted me and she was like. Hey maybe we should get together and maybe stand tall on this together and it was a it was a wonderful idea and i absolutely agreed on immediately. Because it's exactly it's it's that water is not a political thing. We all need water. It doesn't matter what you believe in It's it's very much be the one aspect of our lives that we can't do without so this was something that was very near and dear to both of us and we decided to team up and that's kind of where we're at and we've been going around talking to people about the problems to g. h. And what is the response that you are getting very positive response. I think it's like anything else. Once you understand what's really happening and once you really get a grasp for charter. Amendments could do to the city of greeley and not just the city of greeley And we talk about that a little bit in our in our op ed. It's everybody that gets their water. Treated by greeley so evans milliken and window and all the surrounding areas were drew. Kirk greeley theresa their water. It will impact their water rates as well so response has been very good once people find out what the true problems with these charter. Amendments are they. They are immediately like a home. I god who came up with this idea. You know Yeah this is an absolute now. So we haven't had a whole lot of pushback. It's just a matter of educating people and making sure they really understand that. These charter amendments are about changes to our charter. Not about the purchase of the terry ranch. Aquifer that purchase is done over. It's never going away and there's nothing that can change that. So now we're focusing on what these charter amendment changes. What did so. Let's talk a little bit. Excuse me about specifically what these charter changes would do. Starting with two g well. And i'm gonna just kinda take him together if you don't mind because that's the honest with the i can't remember which ones which And pretty much. They would both do kind of the same similar situation So any time. The city of greeley would want to sell or lease or transfer any of its existing water rights bat option. That opportunity for the city would have to go to the voters now the proponents. We'll faye you. Can you know because we're saying those would go have to go to special election and they would have to go to a special election. Which by the way would you very costly. They could be much of two hundred thousand dollars per election now. The proponents will say well. No they can go on the general election in november. But let me give an the classic example of how on how that exactly would not work so you one of the things that the water that the water department in the waterboard do is they buy up water rights from farmers who want to have a large influx of cash into their Into their farm to be able to to operate for the year so the city of greeley will buy up the water rights and then in turn they will go into long term contracts with these water or with these farmers to lease that water back to them for twenty thirty years so it to pass. That could no longer be without a vote of the city. So let's say somebody comes to the waterboard in january and says. Hey i want to sell you my water rights for that. I have money to farm this. This season and the city of greeley goes well. Yeah we can do that but you know i. We have to send it to the voters so in november when we when we have our election. We'll make sure that the city of greeley votes on whether or not we can sell you or we can buy your rights that you want to sell right now before farming season so if you waited until november the have these elections you farmers would have to be a year or two in advance of trying to figure out where the money's gonna come from and then they would have to sit back and hope and pray that the city of greeley voters understand that they want to do this. But they're the ones that have asked for this and let's hope and pray that the city of greeley that voters in greeley agree that we are allowed to sell our water rights. I mean you're asking the city of greeley voters to allow you to sell something that you own and do it. After farming season is over. So that's just one of the One of the things that could really Curtail anything Or the agriculture. Now when you look at Save greeley's water the opponents to terry ranch and you've been following this just as so many of us have do you think is at the crux of all of this. I was just asked that question a minute ago. That's a really good question. i don't know. I really don't know You know they will tell you that. It's the uranium they you know there. The the city is gonna poison everybody with the amount of uranium. That's in that groundwater listen. Uranium is a natural occurring substance in water period. City already treats for uranium they will continue to treat for uranium and what people need to remember. Is the people that put these contracts and play in the people that made these decisions. Guess what. they all live in greeley. They're gonna have to drink tap water. They're gonna have to brush their teeth with they're going to have to shower in it. Their families our grandchildren. They're all going to have to use it as well. I'm pretty confident that they have no desire to poison their own family so madij. It's preposterous the other side of that is the cost. They talk about how much it's gonna cost. Well i and this is one thing that i have started to tell people. There's one point. Two million acre feet of water already in that in the aquifer is that one point two million acre feet were to be sold at the very minimum Price foreign for an acre foot of water. You're talking thirty five thousand dollars foot. We're talking forty. Two billion dollars worth of water is in that aquifer already and they the city bought it for two hundred fifty million. I think he got a pretty darn good deal based off.

"And focus on passing laws that make sure that Biden himself and no future president can do. The gnarly Shit that trump has done tightening up the you know the independent counsel laws. Making sure that there's a distinct firewall between the DOJ in the presidency especially when it comes to anyone involved in anything that has to do with them that there is a effectively a permanent independent counsel for anything that would relate to that. that an a very high bar so that you don't have just political enemies shitting on whoever's president forever and ever and ever. But then you as you know, the best thing Biden can do. In. A lot of ways is go after the laws guy broke and tighten them up. And then watched trump be hosted by his own petard because he's going to. He's shit the bed financially. There's nobody going to need to bail him out after this Russia and all those folks were bailing them out because of the leverage they could get. From him in. New. I know where he's coming from and I said, we're talking about the people that you give an offramp to, and there are more of those people than the hardliners and if you go if you try to own the conservatives like they own the lives by yelling lock him up about this Asshole, you engine Carol might do the job for you. New York City Will Again Delay Start of In-Person Classes for Most Students

"Yeah, Big news Just now. New York City is delaying the return of in person learning for most public school students, K 25 and K 28 students are now scheduled to return to the classroom. On September 29th not this coming Monday as originally planned. Middle schools, high schools and secondary schools will come back on October 1st remote learning for all students will still begin on Monday. Mayor De Blasio says the postponement is disheartening. But necessary. This is a huge undertaking. It is difficult is challenging. It's not the easy way it isn't had, in fact, the hard way, but it's the right way. The city's Department of Education is adding 2500 more teachers to try to make up for a shortfall in staffing. Three K pre K and a district 75 special education classrooms will still reopen. For in person Learning on Monday, and W N Y C is Jessica Gould is here with Mohr on this surprise move. Hey, Jessica. Hi, David. So, just yesterday, the mayor insisted schools were opening on Monday. The 21st. And I guess they still are. But this is a big change. Tell us what you learned. Right? So you just went over the major changes. I have to say. When I tuned into this announcement today, you could tell from the mayor's 2 M that something big was coming and I got a pit in my stomach immediately And after all of this insistence that we were full steam ahead. Of course we're going to open fully on Monday. Now we know we're going to be phased in on Dyken tell you a little bit about why mostly, it comes down to staffing issues. So the issue that has come up repeatedly with principles for months now and you know parents started seeing it yesterday is that there just aren't enough teachers to cover the Blended learning and the remote learning so in person at home, and then the days that kid's air at home when they should be when they're in school, you know, part of the week those air three different categories, and they just haven't been able to make the numbers work. And so now there's more time Tio get those other teachers that they've hired and dispatched out. On board did to bring on more substitutes. Basically what the head of the teacher's union and the head of the principal's Union said was You know, because of this, it just wouldn't be safe to open school fully on Monday. This was done in partnership with the principles and the teachers union this delay and and that's what they think they're going to get from this extra time that they'll be able to deal with it. The staffing shortages and It's not that much extra time. Right? I mean, exactly. This has all been on such an expedited schedule. But it is more time. Andi think the other thing is that you know, all week. We've been hearing from teachers who've been working outside protesting, saying that conditions aren't safe. The head of the teacher's union, Michael Mulgrew says there's been a lot of improvement on P P E and the ventilation systems are getting better. But that's another thing that this extra time will allow.
