This is Utah Senator Mike Lee Cho involving President Trump and Senator Tub Pavilion were not made by me. They're not accurate. And their contract. In fact, I moved pursuant to rule 16 that they be stricken from the record. He's referring to arguments made by Davidson Selenia, Democrat of Rhode Island, who cited a reported phone call that Donald Trump made to Senator Tommy Tuberville. He referenced Mike Lee and Mike Lee is saying that that information was incorrect any once it struck from the record, these were pressure ports, right? You correct So I appeal to the chair. Could this be a matter of senatorial courtesy they granted. It is very unusual for any senator to speak tour during an impeachment trial, But Senator Mike Lee seems to be invoking a point of personal privilege that he was named directly, Mr President. Mr President. Right here way might as well hear Clearly what the ruling of the chair wasps. So if you would repeat that, I believe that was Roger Wicker. Is it shell? The ruling of the chair be sustained. Is that the question? This is Roger Wicker Republican from Mississippi..

"7 42. It's Alabama's Morning news. I'm JT David. Let's go with cut one here on yesterday and a rally down in Georgia. I should say over in Georgia, but President Trump was there once again talking about how he came away victorious in November's election. Listen The one I want to Thank you very much. Hello, Georgia. By the way, there's no way we lost your do this no rig that was a rigged election. Joining us now to talk a bit more about the election results. The fight that our own congressman Mo Brooks has got underway right now, Senator Tommy Tuberville joins us. First of all congratulations. The swearing in was just awesome. I mean, compare that to accepting a national championship trophy coach. How did you feel when you had your hand on that Bible in the Vice president was standing there right in front of you. Well, it's uh Ranks charity eyes be honest, they take because, you know, being in sports and accomplished in the gold is one thing, but when you have the opportunity to change people's lives. Millions of people whose lives I have one vote out of 100. It means a tremendous amount to me. I love this country and I believe in it, And I believe in the Constitution the rule of law. On my breathing President Trump and the boy can still draw a crowd. Now I said he could do it, but it just really excites me. JT. It really does your stay with my first full day of work. Really only had about three or four hours work supposedly and end up getting home about eight o'clock at night, so there's a lot of work to be done hiring people. This is a huge day for our country will say that Spent, but 034 days in Georgia a couple weeks ago campaign and we have to control the Senate. I don't think people really understand the significance of that. I hope they do open people in Georgia, especially because we have toe have AH roadblock. Or the left. Uh yeah, just left. It is coming. A wall of water is coming in us in this country, and we have to be able to put up a damn You know, we've talked about it before. I know where you stand with our president. I know where you stand on the election results in the potential that there was election fraud going on. I just can't you know, fathom the fact that Joe Biden could only get a couple of 100 people rallies compared to thousands of people at the Trump rallies during the summer leading up to the election, and all of a sudden he ends up with more votes. Than any president in U. S history. It's just outrageous to me that that's the dream team, Kamila Harris and Joe Biden. I mean, she had to pull out of the race couldn't get enough money together can maintain all of a sudden the whole country wants them in office. I'm not buying it either. And Congressman Mo Brooks has got a fight going on right now, Tol Get to the bottom of the fraud. First of all, and let Congress decide on this presidency. But it's like first and goal from our own one yard line with 30 seconds left in the game, and we're down by seven..

"For all the latest information on the greatest information out there. This is a great day to be an American watching the politics unfolding in front of us. I know. I know. There are people were nervous. Just stick with it. I got faith in the American people in our country. I genuinely do. And we've got a little bit of the developing story right now that we're going to be tracking and watching closely over the next couple of hours, and that is Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri or Missouri, depending on you know what part of Missouri living Announces he's going to contest the electoral college certification next week. So this is Josh Holly. He's one of the young guns, one of the young conservatives there in the Senate overnight. There was a lot of chatter back and forth about whether or not McConnell Mitch McConnell would would put up with any of this stuff will just the news eyes reporting among other outlets that Josh Holy announces he's going to contest the electoral college certification next week. At the very least, Congress should investigate allegations of voter fraud and adopt measures to secure the integrity of our elections. That's what the Missouri Republican had to say. He goes on to say, but unfortunately, Congress has so far failed to act. Now Any member of the lower chamber joined by at least one senator can contest the certification of the electoral college vote. For several weeks, Republican members of the House have been announcing their intentions to contest the certification. But it was unclear until today that any senator would co sponsor their efforts. Although incoming Alabama Republican that Senator Tommy Tuberville has said he would consider signing on to a challenge, So once the challenges seconded by US senator A floor debate would be prompted, followed by a vote in each Chamber. One of the people who who's been leading this charge, right? His Mo Brooks, Mo. Brooks is one of the folks who who's out there leading the charge. We have a a newly to be minted congressman right here in North Carolina. Madison Cawthorne, who has said he's interested in making that push as well. That challenges well and really what this comes down to. What this comes down to is the fact that we need to as a as a republic. As a constitutional republic, which means I get it. It's popular to say we're a democracy. We have democratic institutions we vote. We do that sort of stuff. But we are a constitutional republic, which means we follow the rules of the Constitution. Whether you like it or not. We're following the rules of the Constitution. I get it. It's just easy to say okay, forgetting that somebody go. Let's do our own thing. Everything's gonna be fine. Let's ignore what's happening. No. We have rules. We have rules. You have 1/12 amendment. It's hugely important to understand that the integrity of the election is vital and I would hope that people on both sides of the aisle would at least put Results to a test to see if it is, in fact a legitimate vote representing the legitimate interests of the American people. Isn't it curious that you have such confidence on the other side of the aisle such confidence on the on the cable news programs in the morning and at night? You have you have such confidence in the result that they don't have to take a look at it. We don't even we don't have to look at I'm gonna tell you what's driving much of this because it does feel like it's a super accelerated pace to shut this thing down. Put Joe Biden and Kamala Harris there behind the desks there at the at the at the White House. On but the vice president's residence. It does feel like there's an acceleration here for that, and you want to know what that's based on. I believe that your average progressive out there who saw the election results. Knew That something might not be right. But more importantly, because we're driven by this odd media culture, and I don't mean the news media per se, but I mean the media culture where everything is a resolved. 30 or 60 minute episode of something, And so if this were a program if this were Grey's anatomy or some show like that this would be where the president is declared the loser. And he is sent away immediately. I guess they forgot that there was supposed to be a cooling off period that takes place between November the third and January, the 20th you have to certify on the sixth But you still have these different elements that are out there kind of moving. You have folks who are so steeped in in current culture that they think that well once the election is called Bring in the moving van. Get the president out of that White house. It's not how it works. Not. It's not how it works. There is a process and procedure. It's so interesting to watch especially progressives out there. Talk about how much they love Abraham Lincoln. How much they love These Republicans not named Trump, and what's interesting is you've had Republican presidents make difficult decisions and stand by them. Regardless of the blowback or the pushback. I assure you, I assure you that the people who are represented in the Senate From the state of Missouri. Want answers to what happened in the election want answers as to the results in that election and want to see that the constitutional Republic is kept sound. You're gonna go to Marcela and Crosby, Texas. First up the comment on this, Marcello, welcome to the program. I'm Brett winnable sitting in for Rush Limbaugh..

But it is as a fun night we Ah, A lot of hard work came to fruition. It's like plan a ballgame. You work off. I worked a year and 1/2 basically on that, and yes, it is. It came out very well. I think it was a great referendum of President Trump. You know, he gets knocked around from people all over the country, and he's doing a great job and he's doing a great job is kind of like a quarterback. You got 45 defensive lineman holding onto you. He's still able to get the ball down the field. He's making things happen. So I'm proud for that aspect. Jeff Sessions Rent a mini rig hard campaign. You can't ask me pretty good right there late and I thought he's closing down. But you know, people are just They won't outsiders. They want people that actually had jobs in it. And I told you, Jake, that I don't need this job I wanted. I've got more energy now that at the last 20 years I'm excited about helping the people of Alabama. That's what this is about. But it's amazing people I couldn't get on the phone. My phone died over 600 text messages last night and I looked down. I could imagine. I think I know where that got me. And I've been trying to get him on the phone for, like all of a sudden you've got 800 new best friends right in that amazing, but Again. That doesn't bother me. You know, I'm not an ego guy wanted things done. We've got to get jobs back in the state are kids I know first hand of working with kids and they leave and even my two boys, one left the state and we've got to get jobs and that's going to be my number. One job is Is to work with Senator Shelby and get jobs back in the states because President Trump tells me and I talked to him again and Thompson a couple times a week, Coach, get ready. They're coming back. You've got to get her share. We don't know where they're going. You've gotta put your foot out there and you're a good salesman. You've got to get him in Alabama, and we're going to do that. Well, Coach. I mean, I can hear the leadership in your voice. I can hear the motivation. I mean, just a successful as you were with football and motivating players and developing men. I'm so glad that you're going to be bringing that DNA if you will into the Senate seat here. I understand. The president called you last night. How did that conversation go? Really went well, you know, he called and congratulated me and perfect had all my stuff in there. About 40 people and we were going over things getting ready to go out. Give the acceptance speech and that's Mr President. I've got all my teen years a coach put him on speaker. Let me talk to him and he gave me It was really good. It's um It's a memory. Some of those kids most summer interns do not for free college kids and a memory of a lifetime for those kids. And so it was awesome Night and again. We've got our hands full three months of Ah Of a of a liberal Doug Jones and You know we're going. We're going to do the best we can and we're going. We're going to be successful and again, Jeff Sessions. Comey last night was very humble and said, Coach I'm all in We're going. My sports will be with you. We've got to get him out and appreciate his services. I told him and and we've got to become a complete team now because this guy has raised money all over the world. He's gotten by 989% is mighty mild, Bala the other 10 12 million. They've all come from Europe in California and New York and and we know he doesn't represent Alabama. So that's one of the main reasons I'm running. Well, congratulations again, and I liked the class. The Jeff sessions so showed last night publicly and what you personally it was in that he's going to support and back you and helped win for the Republicans here back in Alabama. So, coach I know you've got a busy schedule this morning. I really appreciate you getting up and spend a little bit of time with us and our listeners. There was a lot of folks that listened to our radio stations. We're pulling for you. It was a big win last night. They called it pretty quick. 61 2 39% But congratulations, and I think I feel pretty confident saying a good luck, Senator. I think you're going to do a job. Thank you. J d God bless you. Thank you.
