He commented that she was an amazing woman who led an amazing life. He did not comment on if he plans to nominate her replacement prior to November's election. Texas Senator Ted Cruz is on Hannity last night, though, and said the response from President Trump in the U. S. Senate has to be immediate. We cannot have election day come and go with a 44 court. A 44 court that is equally divided cannot decide anything. And I think the risk of constitutional crisis if we do not.
20 Republican Senators Petition the FDA to Ban the Abortion Pill
"The GOP continues to be indomitable creepy about reproduction even in the midst of a pandemic. No this happened last week but I wanted to talk about it because it was so egregious. Last. Week Twenty Republican senators joined forces to ask the FDA to ban one of the medications used for early abortions. One of the Senators Ted Cruz and he tweeted. Pregnancy. Is Not a life threatening illness and the abortion pill does not cure or prevent any disease make no mistakes. mifepristone is a dangerous pill. First of all, you just hear that in his voice, his kind of whiny pontificating voice even though it was a tweet, it's like the same voice he used when he yelled at Donald Trump for saying his father was part of the JFK conspiracy are murder. It's not I mean I don't know how the voice would sound defending his wife from Donald Trump calling her ugly because that never happened he never. but this this he's gotten involved in, he's going to stand up to

"Being remembered and honored as a champion of justice and a trail blazer for all women. CBS's major Garrett takes a closer look back later, Ginsburg was one of those American women who had ambitions had desires in law school. And wanted to do things but found many obstacles set before her not only in law school but as a young lawyer, and she was part of a litigation team that brought a case that changed American law. No discrimination on the basis of sex. There is a movie about this and about her advocacy for that position, while President Trump issues a proclamation directing that flags at the White House, and all public buildings and grounds and military facilities be flown at half staff until the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is late arrest flags will be lowered to half staff at all U. Hi. Do you want to mention that reports say that the president did not know about Justice Bater Ginsberg's death when he made those comments. Mr Trump was informed until after the rally. Just over a week ago, the president released a list of more than 20 potential Supreme Court nominees, and Ted Cruz was on the list. At that time. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was also in Minnesota last night. Biden has built a consistent lead in the polls in Minnesota. Biden made his case to the Carpenter's Union and a half hour speech, mostly about blue collar workers and the middle class. "President Trump has issued another list of potential Supreme Court nominees, his fourth since his 2016 presidential campaign. But as NPR's Nina Totenberg reports, this list is a bit different. Today's list of 20 is avowedly more political. While the previous three lists included just one elected politician. Today's includes three senators all fire breathing conservative Republicans. Missouri's Josh Holly, Arkansas's Tom Cotton and Texas Senator Ted Cruz. All have been highly critical of Chief Justice John Roberts for not being conservative enough. Also on the list are to current or former Trump Administration Justice Department officials who have been carrying Trump's legal banner in the courts. And Paul Clement, who served as solicitor general in the George W. Bush administration and is considered perhaps the best legal advocate among the very able lawyers who practice regularly before the Supreme Court.

Restaurant Employees Fight for Reinstated Benefits, Some Say It's Too Dangerous to Return
"It's it's still still too too dangerous dangerous to to go go back back to to their their jobs. jobs. While While many many restaurant restaurant workers workers air air back, back, others others have have refused, refused, so so I I think think it's it's a a personal personal decision decision for for everybody. everybody. I've I've been been furloughed furloughed and and I I chose chose not not to go back because they're doing dining service. Andi my opinion dining services, not safer workers. They point to some victories. Texas is among a few states to give $300 in extra unemployment benefits. And now there's a federal moratorium temporarily stopping evictions through the end of the year. The eviction moratorium by executive order with Trump is obviously a huge win. Uh, but it's still so loud enough. So we're so fighting for extended unemployment. Do you feel safe returning to work now? You know, I have tio Think about that. You know, I live with my partner. He is immuno compromise, So it's definitely going to be more of a decision. Republican Jewish Coalition official makes the Jewish case for the Republican party
"As the Republican National Convention dominated the news this week I sat down with Matt Brooks the Executive Director of the Republican Jewish coalition to hear him make the Jewish case for the Republican. Party. Just a reminder AJC is a five. Oh, one C. Three, not for profit organization that neither endorses nor opposes candidates for Elective Office Matt. Thank you so much for joining US Saffy. It's great to be with you. Thanks for having me AJC held a series of virtual programs last week at the Democratic National Convention and we're doing the same this week alongside the RNC you spoke at. An Age RNC program yesterday and you guaranteed the Donald Trump will win a larger percentage of Jewish vote in two thousand twenty than he did in two thousand sixteen. What makes you so confident of that first of all, my understanding of the politics of the Jewish community I've been doing this job for thirty years. So I think I have a very good feel for the Jewish community. But then the most important reason is to look at the record of this president There is no question that he has been without a doubt, the most pro Israel president ever in history. That's not coming just from Matt Brooks, but it's coming from people like the prime, minister of Israel has said as much in the Oval Office in meeting with them. So there's a reason why fifty six percent of the Israelis who were polled in a recent poll would like to see president trump reelected and only sixteen percent. WanNa see Joe Biden reelected because they understand that this president is absolutely transformed the US's relationship beyond that Steph. Touch on domestic issues I think people in the Jewish community are deeply concerned about what's happening in our big cities whether it's Portland Seattle New, York, the lawlessness, the rioting, the efforts by the left wing progressives in the Democratic Party who want to defend the police. I. Think People in the Jewish community understand that president trump giving his incredible track record. Pre covid is the best person to revitalize our economy postcode and also recreate and bring back all the jobs that were lost as a result of this pandemic. So I think there's a wide range. Of issues that both foreign and domestic that to me give me great confidence to have my back moment point into the stands and guarantee that this president will do better among Jewish voters and twenty twenty than he did in two thousand sixteen was the Yankee Fan I. Appreciate any reference to Babe Ruth let me just follow up on that though you pivoted and spoke about domestic issues at the end, which obviously are very important. You started out with Israel though I'm curious does the RJ see any kind of polling or anything like that indicates that the? Percentage of American Jews do vote based on. Israel. My sense is generally not at top issue for American Jews. So we do have extensive polling and we're very data driven in our messaging and how we look at the races you know, I think your point is well taken but you know elections and campaigns about mosaics. It's about putting pieces of the puzzle together. It's not just one issue. There is definitely a segment of the Jewish community that does care about Israel we're going to appeal to them. There's definitely a segment of the Jewish community that appealed issues. Like school choice we're going to appeal to them. There's definitely segments of the Jewish community the care about the issue of defunding the police and having law and order in our streets in protecting us against anti-semitism. So we're GONNA have various messages targeted to various constituencies within the Jewish community. Our community as you well know is not monolithic. So to say that there is one issue that's gonNA drive the Jewish vote would be a mistake but I think we have enough experience and expertise in this arena to make sure that we're serving up the right messages. One issue that you just mentioned Matt is is Antisemitism Joe. Biden actually laid the cornerstone of his campaign on President Trump's comments after the unite the right rally in Charlottesville in his video announcing his candidacy, and then again last week when he accepted the nomination, vice president. Biden cited the president's very fine people on both sides comment at which he saw as excusing anti Semitism he cited those comments as motivating him to get into the race to beat the president. How would you want Jewish voters to think about those comments? Well, I, mean, that's going to be part of our task and we've had several events both with Nikki Haley Mark Levin with Senator Ted Cruz just this last Sunday night you know in which we've talked about that there is a mythology that has taken hold by the Democrats to try and create a false narrative that the president Or somehow tried to give support to white nationalist. If anybody takes a step back reads the entire transcript and admittedly I wish he had been clearer and less awkward in his original remarks when we put out a statement to that effect. But if you read a few sentences before and a few sentences after very fine people on both sides, it's very clear that the president strongly condemns White Nationalist Neo Nazis, and you know it is absolutely unambiguous also to some of his other speeches in actions you go back and look right after the tree of life synagogue tragedy he gave a speech that day to the future farmers of America No. President no president go back and take a look at the record, and you'll agree if you read the opening speech, no president has ever condemned anti-semitism and planted a flag about us and our strong commitment to fight anti-semitism wherever it raises its ugly head, and then obviously you look at what the president did it on his executive order to help protect students on college campuses who have been the victims of anti-semitism and I will tell you time and time. Again, this president has by action demonstrated his commitment, not only to condemn white. Nationalist Neo. Nazis. But also to stand up and take strong stands against the rising antisemitism in this country.
Trump to Michelle Obama: I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Barack
"President Trump had plenty to say after the first night of the Democratic Convention President Trump Tweeting someone please explain to Michelle Obama that Donald J. Trump would not be here in the beautiful White House if it weren't for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama. GOP Senator Ted Cruz told Fox's Laura Ingraham. The convention is showing the Democrats are moving farther to the left These air radicals, and that's where the Democratic Party is, and I don't think that's where the American people are. The president will be in Iowa in Arizona today and in Pennsylvania That's Joe Biden's birth state on Thursday.
Ted Cruz says President Trump 'absolutely right' to call out mail-in ballot fraud concerns
"Senator Ted Cruz, discussing President Trump's place to stop mail in balloting over claims of voter fraud. When it comes to elections. We want elections to be thanked. We want them to be secure. We want that when you go and captive vote that that vote count and then that the integrity of the election be protected. President Trump is filing a lawsuit against the state of Nevada after it enacted a new law providing mail in ballots, toe all voters. There's no evidence of widespread fraud linked to mail in ballots but concerned about potential abuses, more states are moving to mail in ballots to protect poll workers and voters from Corona virus.
Charlie Kirk: Coronavirus stimulus
"And you have Schumer Pelosi. In Biden one hundred twenty five years, Charlie Kirk of failure, unmitigated failure, swap failure and I. Think of my kids. You met my son. He's twenty one years old. My daughter's eighteen and I would think about your America their America and when I say you know, live free or die, American, the world on the brink I'm not joking. And very specifically will be probably the biggest choice election by far in my lifetime, and maybe since eighteen sixty, and there's a lot at stake We can go through the issues if you want, but it's. It's there's there's not one issue we agree on that. I can think of for the most part yet, and you wrote this, and it just really sent chills down my spine. You wrote this book to sound an alarm as a warning. Warning to my fellow patriots about the left's undying commitment turn America into a land, our parents, founders and framers wouldn't recognize it. It's perfectly put, and that's the direction that they're headed on page twenty seven. You have a great part about how Ben Franklin says we ever republic. If you can keep it, can you talk more about how this truly is? A referendum election in some sense and the left is trying to do to our country. Well the the story about Franklin's interesting, because it's, it's the constitutional convention and somebody says he comes out one days, says, is it a monarchy republic republic? If you can keep it Reagan, I quote him off. When I give speeches, said Freedom Charlie and you know this is but one generation away from extinction. And you know when if you want understand if socialism is adopted if their stated goal is adopted America as we know, it then becomes unrecognizable look, I can understand psychologically. There's a component of maybe people that that have been indoctrinated in schools, and you're great at this because you're going in to hostile environments every day, and you're saying you know what there's another way of thinking here, so maybe the idea that people think Charlie that some things are oh, everything's going to be free and they're gonNA forgive my loans at I'll have a guaranteed government job guaranteed government food. How did obamacare workout now? We're GONNA have Medicare for all or or double down on the stupidity of Obamacare and guaranteed retirement. Guaranteed vacation sounds great. But simple math shows you that you'll never get there. And that's why in the Fourth Chapter of the book did this whole history of socialism which is a history of failure? The point is look at the issues. If if we're talking about law and order. They've cited in Portland in Seattle and new. York and Chicago with the radicals. Joe Biden his yet that I know of said one good thing about the ninety nine percent of cops protect and serve and put their lives on the line for us every day. You're right. Okay, so law and order taxes. He's pledging to raise your taxes through the roof. That will destroy the economy Then they're gonNA just add all the bureaucracy. The Donald Trump spent almost four years. Eliminating that'll be gone. That means nobody's GONNA WANNA DO Business. That's why the Biden Obama economy was so bad. Then you look at where now energy independent for the first time in seventy five years with a number, one producer of energy in the world will lose that for sure We'll shut down coal fracking. Oil Gas exploration production those tens of millions of jobs high paying jobs career jobs for people. Then it's about amnesty. Or the United Sanctuary states of America versus Border Security and law and order of never mind foreign policy. We haven't even touched that part yet, so. There's a lot at stake. If those plans stated plans are implemented. America will go down the past you know. The Trash bin of history as Reagan, said Freedom One generation away from extinction we will. It I shudder to think what will happen the three you and your children by kids, and and maybe one day grandkids. ARE READY FOR THAT And I love the framing, because as the founder said either we're GonNa live free and defendant right now, or we're gonNA. Have a country that you know. We don't WanNa live it, and that's really the framing. That is so important right now, and you talk about and I'm really pleased about this. Shawn because I think we have forgotten about the Russia hoax too quickly in. In the conservative movement, you have been the leader on this every night. You were covering it. You didn't let us forget you help. Muller Accountable, you had investigative journalism and it just seemed that an Oxana names, but other conservatives just kind of drifted away from like Oh. That's what happened happened. You have two chapters on this in the book. Can you talk about that? Yeah I mean I call it Charlie, the the biggest corruption abuse of power scandal in history and the Ukraine was oh. Okay, we failed with Muller after three years. We won't. We won't even bother with a special prosecutor not to I'm going backwards here but to get to Ukraine. You? Know they're talking about quid pro quos, but you have to ignore their presidential candidate on video saying you're not getting a billion US tax payer dollars unless you're fire. That prosecutor is named Shokhin. WHO's investigating my son Hunter who went on a and said? Do you have any experience in oil? No Gas, no energy, nope, any experience in Ukraine. Nope, why are you being paid millions? No, because you dad, so there was a quid pro quo and millions of dollars for the Biden I call crime family. That's exactly right, so. Listen and China's even worse. You get to this whole thing what we now know and I believe what's coming. It's like, and this is where the media's corrupt because. They're just the propaganda wing of all things democratic. Socialist. We now know and have all the evidence that we'd ever need is that they protected their favorite candidate. Hillary Clinton. For things you and I and everybody you know that follows you and you have a massive audience would. Literally never get away with. If you had subpoenaed emails Charlie Kirk and you decided to delete them, and you decided to acid. Wash your hard drive with something. I had never heard about bleeped bleach bit and bust up your devices with hammers. You'd go to jail. If you violated the espionage act, you'd go to jail. They protected her. Then the narrative began we now know began in August. We know crossfire hurricane representatives actually went to brief. President Trump General Flynn. Flynn on national security, but they were there to try and get information on trump and Russia, the most amazing part of this, because the Democrats and the media live for all these years is that they knew and they said and they wrote, and they even testified. There was never any evidence, but there was a dirty Russian dossier. And now we know even the New York Times acknowledged full full of Russian disinformation and that was used. And they were warned not to use it, but high ranking people abusing their power, wanting to take out candidate, trump, transition, team, trump, and then deep into the Presidency Donald Trump. They use the dirty Russian misinformation dossier to ruin Carter pages life and roomed his civil liberties and constitutional rights, but more importantly to spy on candidate trump, and then they had their insurance policy. The fact that the mob in the media ignores it is beyond comprehension. I have so I have two chapters. One is on the Russia hoax, and the other is on this whole impeachment witch hunt. And I want everybody in your audience to understand one thing here if I can get one point across. Yeah, they hate Donald Trump, but they hate us more. They think we are as Peter. Struck, said the smell by the way I probably shop at Walmart say money. Why not you have a woman I love Walmart I love COSCO's. I Love I love it all. And I've shopped there my whole life I mean people always stopped me when I'm in a grocery? So, what are you doing here? Shopping? Wa I like to eat a cracks me up. So but think about that. smelly Walmart Shoppers while irredeemable deplorables, wow! Bitter Americans as Obama said that WANNA cling to their God. I'm guilty their Second Amendment Rights Guilty Bibles and religion I'm guilty of that, too. But. It's contempt for your audience. It's contemporary my audience. It's because they knew better. And they will ling. This was an attempted coup. Now do I think there's going to be arrests and prosecutions I? Do spend much slower than any of us would have liked, but the evidence is overwhelming. It's incontrovertible sad actually that this could happen. That was going to be my follow up. Question Sean because when I travel and we get thousands of e mails a on this topic. When are people going to go to jail? And can you give me insight on this? Can you give us any clues any crumbs that we're starting to see from Durham? It's I call them. It's funny. You say crumbs because call them the the Attorney General Bar breadcrumbs. It's like Hansel and Gretel. Remember. We're we're trying to follow and see the trail exactly yeah. He did say that the president was spied on. It did happen illegally. The. Think about this. If you go before Judge Judy I wouldn't WANNA lot because Judge Judy I. I've met her once she'll eviscerate. You I watched her show. You. Don't go before a court. The information that you have not verified. It actually said at the top of a FISO Warren Charlie. It says verified. Okay. We now know the dossier was unverifiable. The sub source we now know, said this this bar talk. We were making this up. This was never meant for anything and again Hillary paid for it funneled money separate issue. And so, what is going to happen I don't have a crystal ball but I. do know all of the facts that are in the public. Are Enough to indict many of the names that your audience is most familiar with. I would argue. Komi McCabe struck page. I'd like to know a clapper. Brennan's role in all of this ends up being and and others. The more fascinating deep question is. Will they get to that January fifth twenty seventeen meeting inside the Oval Office? This is when member Biden said George Stephanopoulos Oh I. Don't know. Anything about this, you know this whole impeachment Russia thing. He was the one same. Bring up the Logan Act fifteen days later Susan Rice in that meeting did the Cya memo the day that Donald Trump was inaugurated. Obama in that meeting shot Sally Age by saying a He. He knew everything about the Kislyak Michael Flynn call. If we look. To sum it up. I think we're GONNA get there because the evidence. Is that overwhelming? If we don't. I fear for the country? Because of you. GonNa Raid Manafort's home predawn raid and you're going to raid Roger Stone's home. For lying to Congress by the all many of the names I mentioned were referred for the same crime and you're gonNA. Pull it twenty nine guys in tactical gear, frogmen and tip off CNN cameras and. Have a biased jury for person. We won't have equal justice and equal application of our laws, and worse than that Charlie is. We lose our constitution. Yes, all our laws are are predicated on next great document and some `perfect, but it creates the path to perfection at a more perfect union so. Long answers. I'M GONNA talk. Show I love it. No, this is what our audience needs to hear, and and thank you for that and look I I completely agree because if we do not have people and I, say this as carefully as I can in handcuffs for what they did Donald Trump then I I will lose faith in the American justice system I. Don't want that and I don't want revenge I don't retribution I want people to be held accountable and I would want the same if someone did this to Barack Obama because it should never happen to a leader ever. Yes. and. They've gone after every single trump friend confidant, and yet if you oppose Donald Trump you get different treatment, talk a lot about the constitution in your book and the founding of our country, Sean going to be honest, I've been very let down by some of these supreme. Court decisions lately Can you comment on that and the importance to get more people like Kavanagh? Who's actually ruled brilliantly? Unlike John Roberts. I! I'm a little. I don't know what's happening. Roberts I have my theory I guess I have my sources people that. have their own ideas based on some knowledge? For whatever reason and I think this goes back to the obamacare decision. He has allowed. How the court appears to influence his decision making. I also sense with no evidence whatsoever. You're not a big fan of president trump, but that should not come into his thinking. Now. If getting rid of bureaucracy and lowering taxes and energy, independence, and securing our borders, and law and order are all part of this election. Let me tell you another big part of it. And it's you know we're taping this ninety. Whatever days away from the Election Day, I what about and we got asked. What about the Supreme Court? Yes, I go through a whole list I. Forget what paid maybe sixty seven I forget. A. In the book. Of. All the things Democrats would do if they're getting power one, is they? WanNa, stack the courts. Get rid of the Electoral College. And I. What, they're saying they. WanNa do is scary. They used to hide it Charlie. When I every single Liberal Democrat running for office, they would run to the left in the primary. They race back to the center, but you knew they wanted the left. There now openly embracing the most radical elements in the country and you know. Unfortunately we're watching it all. Play out nightly on TV and and that sad what I see happening when I think we have to remind a trump supporters that these are not trump appointed justices, a gorsuch I think ruled incorrectly on one ruling. That's it besides that gorsuch and cavenaugh have been tremendous and terrific verses Roberts. I just think we have to give the audience a sense. Sense of continued conviction that the trump appointed justices will continue to rule correctly and Clarence. Thomas and you know the the Thomas Family. They get no credit at all. I mean what he has done. And can you comment on that? 'cause I, E, you've actually been you open my eyes to that like eight years ago and I never learned about Clarence Thomas as a high schooler until you I mentioned it just as a quick aside on his incredible career. I like to do on TV and antidote on radio, too. Sometimes I call it the Hannity history, lesson 'cause I lived through all of this. I know this is going to see. You're not even thirty three, but my radio journey started in nineteen eighty-seven crazy right. Now on my twenty fifth year of Fox, I didn't think I last two. So I feel very blessed. As a side note if you haven't read my grandfather's son. Which is about Clarence Thomas is life. It's amazing. But. You know it's interesting because him and Scalia. To my opinion, my to most favorite justices in my lifetime. Scalia this incredible wit and genius and understanding and. They got a little acerbic side to when when he was questioning Clarence Thomas always set by quietly. What they called a high tech lynching at the time, the more modern. Let it. You gotTA. Remember Yeah. And you know. It was then Senator Ted Kennedy you know Robert Bork's America the borking of America. That was Clarence Thomas. Now we see it more recently cavenaugh. It exposes. The, who is Joe Biden? Who is his team? Because Clarence Thomas and Justice Scalia or the people we need on that court. We call them constitutionalists or originalists, the original intent, not people that would sight foreign law as liberal justices have done or not people that feel that they can rule by judicial Fiat and dictate or legislate from the bench. Democrats always wanted the court to do that which they could never. Do legislatively or win at the ballot box and that's why they want. We call them. Activists Justices Clarence Thomas. has shown a fidelity to the Constitution at the Antony Scalia. That is beyond enviable And the differences styles always interesting, too because Justice Thomas will always be quiet. That's very few questions. Anthony Scalia was in there in a wrestling with people. I don't know about John Roberts. I can't get into it, but I do believe the next president United States is a very good chance. You have a lot of older justices may want to retire. And I think that the next this election in just three short months. That's on the ballot and that's that's generational now. And Sean I think we have to pressure the Biden campaign to do what trump did and release a list of justices I mean president trump was so transparent and Joe Biden hasn't done it yet. Intentionally, of course, because he'll probably put repeated to lieber something on the United States Supreme Court I mean as horrifying as that might be so in two two quick closing question Sean and thank you for being so generous with your time anchorage, everyone you know. Know go by live, free or die. the first is this. Can you just talk about? We are heading into the election. A lot of trump supporters. They're failed. They're falling victim. They suppression pulse I wish that wasn't the case, but it seems like the memory of two thousand sixteen as faded where people forget. We were down by double digits. Can you just give a little vote of confidence to some of our listeners out there? That think we're just losing. I WANNA. Give the vote of confidence, but I want people to feel this way. I want people to think I'll use a football analogy that our mutual friend Linda that you know. Who's your biggest fan? My radio producer? He's amazing. Amazing, but she doesn't even know how many points you get a touchdown, so I'm giving these football analogies. I, want this election. I want people to feel the way I feel which is. We're on our own twenty. Two minutes to go. We have no time outs We're down by six. We got a cross. The plane marched down the field, cross the plane and hit the extra point to win. So if people feel a sense of genuine urgency and worry and concern, I'm cool with that because fear often as a great motivator, not irrational field fear, but if people do not vote, you will get the government that they're telling you. They're going to give you believe. That that is their agenda. To be a Republican and win. You GotTa always use this analogy got to run the table I gotTA. Get Florida Georgia North Carolina can't win without Ohio. No Republican's ever become president without it right? You got hold Iowa then you got pick off Pennsylvania Wisconsin hopefully Michigan maybe MINNEA- Minnesota will be play. Maybe the city of Arizona will be in play. By Joe Biden reference for those of you. That didn't get. We got a hold Arizona Gopher Nevada New Mexico. New Hampshire and Maine's second congressional district. If every single mom, this is a battle cry. You started out this interview with this. I wrote this book not because I like writing books. My last book I donated every Penny I made to charity I don't care. It's not that. This is a tipping point. Charlie this is I, don't. See if these policies are implemented how America recovers. Irreparable harm the to the rule of law to our courts to our economy, they want to wipe out the lifeblood of of the world's economy. This this promise of socialism and I go into such detail about how it's always failed. Here's a quick socialism of example. Member obamacare. Keep your doctor keep your plan. Save on average twenty five hundred dollars a year per family right? Okay. Millions lost their doctors. Millions lost their plans. We're all paying about two hundred percent more and add to that. Forty percent of Americans almost forty percent have only one obamacare Biden Carriage James Choice now. How did they do with that promise? Medicare is going broke. How did they do it? That promised social security. Charlie hate the break this here. He paying into it. You probably won't get it I. Barely Skate through, and they might give me ten cents until they means tested and then take it back, How does it? How did Liberal government work in New York City with all the anarchy cutting a billion dollars, so please? How's IT WORKING IN CHICAGO? All. These liberal cities have where the violence we've been talking about takes place. They all have one thing in common. They've been run by Liberal Democrats for decades right. Most of these states have been run into the ground by Liberal Democrats for decades. If you WANNA know what America will look like if Biden Bolshevik Bernie. Pelosi Schumer and Bozo. That team gets place look at new. York state and city look at Chicago the City Illinois. The State Look at California. Look at Oregon. Look at Portland, the city. Look at Seattle. Look at the state of Washington. Yes. And I. Love this country too much. You know it's an all hands on deck moment and Every everyone of you've got this connection with younger people in this country. You have this incredible. A credible platform you built, and it's become powerful and meaningful and transformative to the country, and you're going out there, and you're fighting on these college campuses and you. You know it's not easy to be in the middle of a I call it a shift. Show all the time, but let's well put, but you do it. And it's freedom works. Every time you give up freedom for security, you lose your freedom because the security that they're offering. These promises that can never ever be fulfilled. In America. The land. I'll close with this unless you want to go further I can keep going the. Barry Farber who was a mentor of mine. Just recently passed away like ninety ninety one. And he always said there's never been a country in the history of mankind that has accumulated more power and abused at less than the United States well I add. A country in the history of mankind that has accumulated more power abused at less, but used it to advanced human condition. The reason America is great and exceptional. If I can say that today, it's not perfect, but it's great. An exceptional is because of its people, and because of the fundamentals of liberty and freedom. So that? Natural rights versus government or rights, natural rights come from God doubt by our Creator. Life Liberty pursuit of happiness while you can't pursue happiness these days in Chicago New York Moreland Seattle. So there's a lot on the line. I love your audience. I'm so thankful for all you're doing, and you've got a great team that you building review and you're out there fighting the fight and I just urge you guys. Just fight like your country depends on it. Because America's, we know it. It's all hanging in the balance. Yet was Sean. You've been so generous the last quick thing I defend the president all the time personally as a person. Can you comment on that because I've had the opportunity to meet him? not as much as you obviously and get to know him, but a lot of people here misrepresentations in lies about who he is as a human being. Let's close on this note. Can you just mention one or two things that that people can take away from that? You know first of all. It's interesting. Nobody seems to understand Donald trump yet. They don't want to understand. I mean Donald Trump. The Dog Bites the beasts, things you feeling sad or get cancer. You Complain Trump. I mean that's how saying the leftist. But here's a guy that is so unique he this guy is like a soon nami force of energy like I've never met my life. The most distinct and unique quality he's had is as president. You mentioned the Supreme Court. He put those people that he said he put. He cut the bureaucracy as he said he'd caught, and he cut the taxes as he said he'd cut. He did the North Dakota. A keystone pipelines Anwar Likey said he would. He's building the wall or almost four hundred miles. A wall by the by election will be over four hundred miles. He found a way it was. It was an uphill climb He said he wanted to pull us out of foreign conflicts, but not back away from evil defeated. The Caliphate took out. Baghdadi and Associates took out Sola Mani took out the Al. Qaeda leader in Yemen. So? What makes him special and unique in terms of presidency is that he is who you see is who you get. The guy that's fights on twitter is the guy that's fighting for a better trade. Deal the guy that fights. Against Liberal Democrats and the media mob is the same guy is fighting to keep his promises that to me makes him the most unique transformative political figure in our lifetime. And Right now. The. We tip the scales. You have a choice. It's never been a bigger choice. He will keep his promises. Coronas been a little bit of a curve ball to the world, but even that ten days after the first case, the only guy that I know of thought about a travel ban will be donald trump. They were teaching at the time and Joe Binder Biden was call them Sinophobic, so he's a man of his word. He's a man that will fight to his last dying breath for this country and the promises he made, and that makes them in my view very transformative. Men will. Polls show Trump is losing to Joe Biden
"President trump, Joe Biden, spurring the economy, one of the areas where president trump still holds an advantage over Joe Biden. Amanda Carpenter former top staffer for Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Jim Demint now congress at the Bulwark Anzor, Lena Maxwell senior director progressive programming for Sirius Xm author of the end of white politics. Welcome to all of you and Ramleh me begin with you Joe. Biden has about a nine point lead in national polls right now, leading in all the battleground states some Democrats. Now talking about going into George going into Texas, is that overconfidence. yes, and no I think on the straight point I always think. You have right now. Don't get confused with the national polls. They are very very good, but while he is the vice president is up in the battleground states. I would right now number one goal secure those top battleground states before you expand the field. Keep your eye on those opportunities that approach and I. Think Right now I wouldn't spiked the ball on the twenty yard line we. We know what happened. In Two thousand sixteen focus right now on securing Michigan Pennsylvania Wisconsin Arizona. Florida the in North Carolina. That's what I would do, and then look strategically about which of those opportunities right now you have an election. George were the American. People basically want a president who solves problems and not be the source of problems, and that's the Opportunity Democrats have right now.

She thought the Counter Revolution Against Castro. She saw the misery and poverty. And so the podcast. It's become one of our most downloaded podcast because it's a chance to to really listen to a firsthand story. And what Bernie is saying of of Cuba as the Socialist. Paradise is just utterly false. As anyone who's lived through it could tell you unless you like. Those cars are pretty cold. fifty-six Four or but. So what did you say? Did you say you'd rather have the president faced Bernie or you'd rather have a face. President vice-president by burning scares me and the reason Bernie scares me. I know a lot of Republicans that are that are celebrating. Every time Bernie wins. Let us run against Bernie. He so extreme that that that trump gets reelected the thing that scares me about about Bernie's we're divided country. There is a chance. This country could elect a wild eyed socialist. And you want to see something that we do devastation to our economy to people's lives that worries me a great deal. I'd rather not even roll the dice so personally. I'd rather biden because he's at least in terms of the overton window. He's at least slightly closer to rational. He's still very liberal. I mean I mean what qualifies as moderate in. That might have cost millennials. A lot of money its most regular users. It's a mess. Welcome back I'm Katie Kramer. And you're listening to squawk three two one. Good Morning Welcome X. Box right here on CNBC. I'm Andrew Ross. Sorkin along with becky quick and Joe Kernan our guest host this morning contributor throughout Steffi of Douglas Lane trading robinhood suffered a second outage yesterday. That apple is down throughout Monday. Leaving users unable to take advantage of the largest ever point gain in the Dow and was fully operational by noon yesterday as stocks fell after the Fed surprise rate cut reports. Say THAT THE TRADING APP. Now faces regulator scrutiny. Joining us right now for a look at how this will impact Robin Hoods reputation. Is Dan primack? He is business editor at Axios and Dan. Robin Hood has been the darling for a long long time. They set the standard of zero cost trades. Now you see this happen. What does this tell you well? It's a disaster. Obviously for Robin Hood and particularly kind of for its high volume users. Now remember lots and lots of robinhood users didn't really experienced an outage but they probably didn't notice right because they weren't necessarily trading over the last two days before its most regular users. It's a mess and the thing about Robin Hood is while it's got a really clean interface and people loved that there's a cash management feature a big piece of it. That zero dollar trades everybody else's followed suit on that starting last fall so that's no longer really differentiator for them. So if you're somebody who feels you got screwed over you can go to another service and get the same benefits that you used to only be able to get from Robin Hood. What what was the problem too much. Trading activity who were the systems? Just not ready for it We don't exactly know They provide the they originally said. Oh our systems. We're having problems communicating with each other. They then took about twenty four hours to come out with a statement apology but a statement last night. Yeah which says basically they're DNS didn't work. They got overloaded by too much activity. there's a bunch of engineers on twitter who are questioning pieces of that. Don't quite understand it. There's going to have to be a serious audit of this. A third party audit to figure out what really happened. Do you see kind of moving now. Toward the Schwab's Fidelity's I mean we saw Schwab is buying td Traded is now going to be part of Morgan Stanley. All this was caused with zero trading days a year from now do you think Robinson's still exist because individual investments can do all this themselves. Well I think it will still exist. I think one of the questions is is someone GonNa Buy Robin Hood and if if somebody was thinking about it particularly when Morgan Stanley announced a trade deal a lot of people jump and said Oh. Someone's now going to try at least to buy robinhood. Why wouldn't you? It's very popular. You know one of the things about Robin Hood is even after. Everyone went to the zero trades. Last October Robin Hoods user. Base grew in fact it grew faster in Q. Four then it grew in Q. Three grew faster. I am told in January and February. Then it didn't Q. Four so it was still expanding. Robin Hood was wonderful acquisition. Target for somebody else. Who wants to rival with Morgan? Stanley did what happened over the last two days though clearly but that question. And what do you think regulators are going to do? Well I think they're going to look you know it's interesting There is a law on the books here. The Congress could actually theoretically take a look at this although it's supposed to be based more on bigger systemic issues for example like the flash crash what happened robinhood affected robinhood users. It didn't affect the markets as a whole but look regulators are going to have to take a look at this and as I said there is going to have to be a serious audit. What Robin Hood has said? So far just doesn't cut it. How many customers do they have? I honestly don't know the exact answer except to say a lot and definitely skews younger. They are they are known as a millennial focused company so you think they still would be an acquisition target just at a lower price. I think so and look. Obviously we'd be talking longer term. Anybody and I don't have any information that somebody was in talks to buy them tomorrow but anybody who was clearly is going to understand what happened and why the outage happen but yeah they could definitely still be an acquisition target. There's still a very popular company. They still run a lot of trades. There is though probably a new litigation risk. Now I mean you have to be able to prove. I don't know how you would prove that you were going to make trades but if you were Robin Hood user if your money was sitting inside a Robin Hood and you didn't get to play on the biggest gain points day ever for the Dow you've got to think there's GonNa be a class. I think anybody not tried to log in day. Who couldn't actually has what you don't even have to do. But if you were trying to log in on that day I think you have a claim by the way just to answer your question? It's a little over ten million users right now substantial. What's worse than not being able to get in that day or what's down to try and back in eighty seven New Orleans picking up the phones. We'll look I mean Robert Robert Unfortunately I mean it it. It came back online after a couple of trading hours yesterday in theory. Maybe you could. Have you know if you couldn't get in on the upside? You also couldn't get in on the downside but you missed on both say you've missed the whole turn up and down Dan. Thanks good to see you. Thanks for listening. Squawk box is hosted by Joe. "Policy tax policy. I know that I actually believe that. One of the reasons why stocks are up today is not just as a reaction to yesterday's market conditions. I think that investors are looking at the possibility now of Joe Biden winning the nomination. And he's going to be very good for stocks by is more centrist. He understands Wall Street better than Sanders. And he's less likely quite frankly to put forward confiscatory economic policy investors want by and they don't want sanders. I just think I don't know if I describe as much to the debates as to the you know in a philosophical sense some of the stuff Bernie says is good but when when en masse the democratic population suddenly sees the real possibility on the predicted markets at sixty five percent that it's GonNa be Bernie Sanders and it starts actually becoming the reality. I think that's what they saw last week. And it's like if you're not if you're over thirty five or thirty. At least that is a horrifying prospect. I mean someone like me. It's a it's a it's just unthinkable and I don't know why you nominate someone who can't win in the general election. I think a lot of Democrats finally realized we're going to nominate a guy who is going to be McGovern from from day one he's going to be McGovern so it had nothing to do with the debate like we came back. They came back and decided the joe out of all the other candidates. That Vice President Biden is the best one for lack of of of an alternative Bloomberg. A billionaire I was GONNA ask you frank. I can't remember exactly what I thought. You were kind of positive about Bloomberg. What is your most in the last ten appearances on Squawk box? What's the most prescient point that you gave us over the last ten where you are absolutely right about that? Democrats and I've said this again and again. Democrats will not vote for billionaires. They did not vote toddstarnes. I thought you said don't underestimate him. Money can go a long way not advertising. You have to perform well and debates and my Bloomberg performed horribly and he agitated people focus of building their hold on this focus groups that we've been doing these are Democratic voters not pundits those focus groups for showing us that people will lead leaving. Mike Bloomberg in droves for Joe Biden. They've found Biden particularly over the last week. South Carolina debate performance performance speech. He gave in South Carolina. We saw last night. Joe Biden is hitting his stride. This was not the same Joe Biden that began the debates six seven months ago but he is just as likely to have the same type of gaps that he's had over in terms of public speaking gaffes. That's not going away right well. That's that's why I'm telling viewers to watch the debate in Arizona. I think it's going to matter. Tremendously and Biden is is gaffe prone but at his best. He is a very strong candidate. He delivers a very powerful passionate speech. And in looking at the polling data looking at the voter response Biden is on his way up and Sanders might. Well have hit his peak. Frank really really quickly What does this say about? Not just Michael Bloomberg but the idea of spending lots of money. I'm thinking of Tom. Style and everybody else is there. Is there a walkaway lesson from this? That this is not going to happen again. They may still try. Republicans donate money. Republicans donate Billionaires Democrats. Do and the fact is if you're wealthy unsuccessful. The Democrats are not going to vote for you. It's just a fact highlight the media's performance Let's see we went from maybe warn to Kamla Harris to Mayor Pete. Then clothes are had a short little time in the Senate. They couldn't hit if fell out of a boat. They couldn't hit water franken terms of what was going to happen here. They mix up what they want as as completely compromise media saying they're non biased. They go from from what's actually going to happen. They have no idea what this may be the first time in the six months. I've been doing this show that you and I agree. The worst pundits. I'm glad we haven't agreed at one point over the last six months. I want you to tell us what it was because I put my money on a bunch of different things based on what you said and none of it ever came true right. I told you billionaires. We're not going to win. Democratic primary. We agreed then too so we were actually in agreement on that one. I think you grow that. We grew that beard so people would remember you at the same guy and six months ago. Tough-guy thank you frank a stock to watch today Campbell Soup. Shares are rising Right now after earning sales beat the street and the company raised its full year profit outlook in a bet. Philippine joins US right now. He's got more on that story. I felt hey becky. This is the corona virus Gut Punch to the revenue stream for the airlines. How much will the airlines be? Hurting as the cancellations mount. Well it depends on how accurately we get this data and the most recent data from a couple of weeks ago from the International Air Transport Association. Known as I- ATTA. They said that global traffic would drop four point seven percent in twenty twenty and it would cost the airlines about twenty nine point. Three billion dollars in lost revenue. But if you take a look the airline index keep in mind that that estimate for my Atta. That was two weeks ago. And we've seen the cancellations pickup since then this is why analysts are saying for the airlines. It's all about managing cash flow right now as you take a look at the four largest. Us Carriers Delta American united and southwest over the last month American basically since February Twelfth. The stock has lost forty two percent of its value. The CEOS of those companies will be here at the White House today. They're supposed to meet with at least vice president. Mike Pence we could see them also meet with the president if he decides to join that meeting but guys at the end of the day. I'm not sure what the White House can say to. The short of. We'll do something to help you out financially. Which I don't think is going to happen because if you help out the airlines do you also help out the hotel industry. Do you help out other industries that are suffering because people are simply canceling their trips. Right now they're just going to have to work their way through basically the fact that they've got too much supply and the seats are just not being filled on these planes to the degree that they expected just a few weeks ago. I guess what's unique about the airline industry is they collect fees upfront for the tickets that you're selling you so In a certain sense it's kind of like the float that the insurance industry is to an extent to an extent but you also have a lot of people who will say we'll pay the two hundred dollars to cancel the ticket now a lot of airlines and you heard from United yesterday that joined American and Alaska as well as jet blue in terms of cancelling change or the fees that goes with changing ticket or canceling a ticket but those are in certain areas in terms of tickets that are bought now between later in March. What's interesting here? Becky is that their costs. Don't drop they still have to. Let's say a you're you're leasing narrow body aircraft and it costs you three hundred thousand.

"With senator Ted Harvey of the committee to defend the president and that he has has he has this package probably the largest pro trump PAC in America you can go there and learn more about it and donate if you would like if you believe in this cause senator Ted what struck you about the state of the union address I know a lot of people are proving of this and that's from a CNN poll all right that was a great CNN poll and it was accurate in the fact that this was one of the best state of the union address is that any president has ever given it was patriotic it was inspiring he talked about all of the great things that ever have happened to our country whether it is president trump's doing or not there are great things happening in this country and that the Democrats are foolish not to stand up and applaud the amazing things that are happening much less not to stand up and applaud when the president is exemplifying the heroes that have served our country whether it is teachers whether whether it is military man all across the country and the Democrats look like fools so I think the president knocked it out the park hit a home run and I think that the Democrats are going to rue the day that they perform the way they did the last night it did look decidedly unpatriotic many times when people in the gallery refused to stand and of course Nancy Pelosi the entire time talking to ourselves seemingly shaking our head now and of course the big moment at the end when she tore up the speech her copy of president trump's speech and this I mean I I've been checking this is big news I haven't checked my my laws yet the people are saying this is a violation of the laws for her to be destroying this piece well I'm sure it is but nobody's gonna prosecutor on it and I know senator Ted no one's above the law what what it really does show it is the difference between Nancy Pelosi and the president the the Republicans and the Democrats trump stood up there and show the world why America and our constitution and our free markets in our capitalist principles have made America the greatest country on the face of the earth and it also showed why the Democrat party is showing the world the worst side of America which are the socialists that are trying to change this incredible blessing that has been given to the world the United States and it I I think it just showed every time she rip those papers it she was showing the American people we have lost the Democrats have lost we're not going to win in twenty twenty and after this speech I'm probably going to lose the majority in the house of representatives and I think that is probably the case and you know that's going to be good for America any time we get Nancy Pelosi out of that speaker state the the the sooner the better concealment removal or mutilation and that is exactly what she did you know people are calling this is genius some people tweeting sure there people on both sides but people are calling C. span saying I'm a Democrat I'll never vote Democrat again because what she did just by just by her tearing that up let alone other antics that might be going on say both sides of the aisle at least I will never vote Democrat again it makes me sick yeah but you know I I think she got her what she wanted to do I have accomplished the president gave the greatest speech that he's ever given any showed why so many millions of Americans voted for him and why they are continuing to support him and numbers that we've never seen of any Republican president before each she took that off the front pages and made it be all about her and even if she has to take a couple twenty four hours to forty eight hours yet she she's willing to do that to get Donald Trump off the front pages from one of the warm an incredible speech that even even seen as having to say it was one of the best ever given and yeah if that's what it takes to get trump off that off the front pages should do it and that was just the grand finale of Nancy Pelosi all throughout his speech I felt like she did try to be very distracting she was asking yourself shaking her head no looking down people said she was shocked leading and shuffling as if she was looking at the the the wine list and on and on and on and it's just it's generally disrespectful I mean this is the this is the house of representatives they're presenting the president it's a state of the union it's historical and there should be a bit of decorum sh but despite all of that I I think that the American people got to hear Donald Trump as at its finest and I think that he delivered a speech that you know he he he was gloating he wasn't biking the football and he should spike the football what they have accomplished over the last three years despite all of the distractions despite constantly being under investigation despite constantly having to fight impeachment the successes that they have had as been on unprecedented whether it is renegotiating it tryna agreement that no president has been able to do since Richard Nixon opened up China rather it's renegotiating nafta which everybody is set for for the last two decades that we we are harming America we are harming our workers were harming our manufacturing base trump came in and like you said in the speech this was his number one objective this is why he ran for president was to renegotiate these agreements and he got it done he he he told the American people I am going to force China to renegotiate all of these trade agreements stop stealing our secrets are are are are corporate secrets our trademark secrets and and we are going to force them to work fairly with us when it comes to trade and he got everything he wanted in that trade agreement everybody said there's no way China will never agree to any of this stuff and trump got every bit of it and and in in phase one I'm I'm excited to see what phase two is going to be after we already got everything you promised the American people you would get in phase one but that he's building the wall he is beating the back the the radical leftists in courts across America in their efforts to stop him on immigration issues he is winning everywhere.

Now back to the story time time is among the most important factors in the mysteries of what happened on Chappaquiddick island on the evening of July Eighteenth nineteen sixty nine because us of the fact that Ted Kennedy waited ten hours before alerting authorities. There was plenty of time for the important details of the case to be lost or or on a more sinister note. There was plenty of time for Kennedy to craft his story. Our second conspiracy theory is that Ted Kennedy he was either intoxicated or otherwise impaired when he crashed the car even if he wasn't this theory puts forth that something was off with his State of mind that night and whatever it was directly led to the crash and Mary Jo's death when the story of the accident I broke. There were two main in questions that arose. What was Mary Jo Kopechne e doing in Ted Kennedy's car and was Ted Kennedy Drunk Ted Kennedy. He didn't drive at least didn't often drive given his substantial personal fortune and high status as United States. Senator Ted had a chauffeured referred to cover. Most of his transportation needs in fact. Ted's personal chauffeur. John Crimmins was at the cottage party on Chappaquiddick island on the night of the incident. prims was a guest. That's considered to be true but he was also there in some capacity as Ted Kennedy's driver river so when Ted Kennedy prepared to leave. Why didn't crimmins leave with him when asked later? Ted stated that he didn't want to pull crimmins wins away from the party to take him home. CRIMMINS was still enjoying his meal and the company. It's odd the crimmins would be preoccupied with a meal since it was after eleven at night when Kennedy made to leave that maybe that really was the case given the full day of partying and relaxing. There's one thing to note here though we're unsure what to read into it. According to the official account Ted Kennedy retrieved his car keys from crimmins after Mary. Jo asked him for a ride home. This could mean that Ted was planning on having crimmins drive him home until Mary. Jo asked for a ride. If he wasn't planning on driving he might have been drinking. Mary Jo by all accounts was a smart capable woman and it would have been very out of character for her to be drinking drinking heavily at an event like this but she hadn't driven herself to the party and thus wouldn't have needed to worry about keeping an eye on her drinking. There are some uncorroborated reports that she had drunk at least some amount of alcohol at the party. She may not have been impaired but she also may not have noticed if Ted was not in a condition to drive now crimmins was both Kennedy's driver and occasional aid he knew the man well and it's not a stretch to to assume that he would have noticed if Ted was too drunk to drive himself. The fact that he handed over the keys to the car would seem to indicate that as far as the partygoers eighty goers were concerned. Ted was only fine the big discrepancy that may lead one to ask if Ted was drunk or not has to do with the geography a Chappaquiddick island.

"This is our second and final episode on the Chappaquiddick incident of nineteen sixty nine when rising star Senator Senator Ted Kennedy crashed his car into a pond on Chappaquiddick island the incident resulted in the death of Mary Jo Kopechne e and to this day there are questions regarding how she died why she was in the car and what led Ted Kennedy to wait ten hours before notifying lying the authorities that he had left a woman trapped in a submerged vehicle. The chappaquiddick incident is among the most famous political scandals in American history three and is seen as the key reason that Ted Kennedy never had the chance to follow in his brother's footsteps for real shot at a presidential run but the legacy of the entire affair is inherently problematic in no small part because we tend to refer to it as a political scandal and not on a case of manslaughter over the past ten years ever since Ted Kennedy passed away at has come to be accepted that the real story story of Chappaquiddick may never be known after all the two people who were in the car that night are both dead and gone and this episode episode. We're going to examine the unanswered questions that still swirl today over the chappaquiddick incident our first conspiracy theory is the Ted Kennedy's Kennedy's account of when he left the Party and when he crashed is false this is best evidenced by the so called missing our between when and Ted Kennedy left the Party and when he was supposedly spotted by a sheriff's deputy over an hour later our second conspiracy theory is that Ted Kennedy he was intoxicated or otherwise impaired that night and that this was the reason for both the crash and his actions immediately following it finally Ted Kennedy waited ten hours before he reported the crash. It's been suggested though obviously never proven that Mary Jo lived for much longer than initially suspected and that she may have been rescued. If only Ted had gone for help in our last episode we discussed the decades long series of events that ultimately led to Ted Kennedy and Mary Jo Kopechne e attending that party on Chappaquiddick island on the evening of July Eighteenth nineteen sixty nine ted was the youngest son of Joseph Kennedy Senior. The New England millionaire and Patriarch of of the Kennedy Family Joe Senior groomed his sons to succeed in politics but between nineteen forty.

"By the end of nineteen sixty eight three of Joseph Kennedy senior sons had died Joe Junior John and now Robert at all been killed before they could fulfil the extent of the ambition. Their father had Joseph Senior. Perhaps due to his own lodged intend to become president was adamant about putting the Kennedy Boys in the white eight house he had succeeded with his second son. John John's political legacy was permanently interrupted when he was tragically assassinated in nineteen sixty three with Robert debt as well and just as he seemed to be on the cusp of kicking off a successful presidential campaign the weight of the Kennedy name nail fell to the youngest Kennedy son Ted Edward Teddy Kennedy or nineteen thirty two it wasn't exactly the black sheep of the Kennedy family but as the youngest of nine Children Teddy was afforded leeway to fail in a manner that his brothers were never allowed while Joe Senior had been laser focused on ensuring the joe junior and to a lesser extent John and Robert worked to succeed in every aspect of their lives so as to prepare them for life in the public spotlight he seemed to not have the same level of commitment to ensuring that Teddy excelled old teddy had middling grades throughout his childhood though his large size made him a natural football player despite the lack of any real academic achievement he attended Harvard University for undergraduate just as his father and brothers had done sometimes name is more important than a transcript teddy was in his freshman year in college while his brother John was serving his first term in the House of Representatives that combined with the families already notable profile across Ross American news and politics meant that there was a public spotlight on anyone with the Kennedy name as the youngest child teddy likely wasn't used to having much attention directed his way. This is why he probably thought he could get away with cheating on an exam in his freshman year. In nineteen fifty one teddy arranged for another student to take one of his exams he was caught and both students were expelled. That's not the kind of backstory. Are you want to see in someone who wants to be President Teddy expelled and with few options of other schools that would actually take him enrolled in the military he served for two years in the military. Police and Joseph senior used his own military connections to ensure the teddy wasn't deployed in the Korean War which was ongoing at that time teddy was discharged in nineteen fifty three at that time Harvard University allowed expelled students to apply hi for readmission. After a few years teddy was readmitted again no doubt due to the workings of his father and his own family name Teddy graduated from Harvard in Nineteen Fifty six when he was twenty four war but he was rejected by Harvard law school due to his poor grades and the prior expulsion the academic dishonesty on his record should have prevented him from getting into most law schools but he managed to follow when Roberts footsteps and attend the University of Virginia School of law as he had for his entire life teddy performed middling Lii in his academics though in law school he started to develop a reputation for his strong oratory skills. While he was in law school teddy also had his first real run in with the law when he was charged with reckless driving nothing came of the charge and it certainly didn't seem to hurt his political aspirations but then again we must always consider teddy's powerful family and their ability to put him in positions to succeed Teddy was named manager of John Kennedy's election campaign for the Senate in Nineteen fifty eight after graduating law school in nineteen eighteen fifty nine. He went on to help manage John's campaign for president. After John won the nineteen sixty election. He wanted Teddy to take his vacant Senate seat. Even though that wouldn't be possible for two more years since instead he was only twenty eight in nineteen sixty teddy claim to.

That was the case for Senator Ted Kennedy in the summer of Nineteen sixty-nine on Chappaquiddick Island in Massachusetts though the official account of what happened that night is somewhat muddled. The facts are as follows late at night after a party Kennedy set off down Chappaquiddick road in his oldsmobile with him was Mary Jo Kopechne acne a former campaign staffer for the recently assassinated Robert Kennedy. There was an accident. The car hit a barrier and flipped over into the water. Ted Got out and survived but Mary Mary Jo was left trapped in the car. "Senator Ted Cruz is our guest Senator Bernie Sanders was on Fox News last night. Two point five five million. People watched why? Well, yeah, I imagine out of curiosity. I suspect most of those I suspect it was a combination of regular FOX viewers. And then also Bernie supporters, and listen there there are unfortunately, far too many gullible people in the world that that that that are in thrall by by the promises socialism. And and I suspect a lot of the folks turning on where we're hardcore Bernie supporters a few of them were regular, FOX viewers. So we're just curious to see what they'd say you're pulled in a lot of different directions, you working in a lot of different issues. You're traveling a lot there's some major issues before the Senate. What are you working on right now with your name on it? That is the most significant. Well, what I've been doing this week is I is actually I'm touring Texas. I'm back in Texas. This week said it's not in session and focusing in particular on the school choice legislation that I've introduced in the Senate, and it is it if passed it would be the most far reaching federal school choice legislation that's ever passed. It is operatives tax credit. So it's a federal tax credit that would give you a dollar for dollar credit on your taxes for making contributions to scholarship granting organizations in the state Senate is five billion a year or fifty billion dollars over ten years for federal tax credits for contributions to k through twelve education allowing parents to use the scholarships to go to public school or private school, appropriate schools or religious schools, and it is also five billion a year or fifty billion over ten years for contributions federal tax credits for for contributions to scholarship granting organizations focused on workforce training, technical training apprenticeships. So I spent the day traveling a construction site visiting a construction site meeting at at at Texas State technical college meeting with folks who are training to be welders work in robotics and working in cybersecurity. And those two together the potential impact. Act in terms of educating and training, the Texas workforce in the workforce, a cough across the country is enormous. The president was in Crosby few days ago, which of course in your state Crosby, Texas just outside of Houston. And he announced a couple of executive orders in line with that. How important is that? Well, I'm very glad the president was was back came to Texas. I had hoped to come with him. But actually at the same time he was down in Texas. I I was chairing a hearing in the Senate on big tech, and and their censorship of conservatives and their their their political bias. And so since I was chairing a hearing in Washington, I couldn't be here for the the events in Texas, but I was sorry to miss them. But but glad glad to say the president coming back, Texas, Senator Ted Cruz is our guest today after tax day, and this, of course, tax freedom day, as you know, all too. Well, you have proposed making the Trump tax cuts the tax cuts for working Americans making those permanent. So that they don't sunset why. Because it's the right thing to do. And and and you know, I'm reminded of right after we pass the tax cut. We look at the tax cut. It was passed in in late twenty seventeen. We've seen the economy. Take off we've seen over five million jobs created since the beginning of this administration, Texas is benefiting enormously, but under the Bill the individual tax sunset they end after ten years, and I remember just just a week or two after attack tax cut passed. Bernie Sanders was on one of the Sunday shows. And he and and all the Democrats voted no voted against cutting our taxes, and and and Jake tapper asked him said, well, why why did you vote? No. And he said, well, the problem is the individual tax cuts sunset they end. Because tapper quite rightly asked Bernie said said said look this tax cut cuts taxes on on working men and women on Americans all over the country isn't cutting taxes on middle class Americans. Isn't that a good thing? And Bernie says, of course, the problem is they're not permanent. Well, I heard that. And I immediately. Retweeted that clip Senate out and said, Bernie, I agree with you. Join with me, let's join together let's make the individual tax cuts permanent. Let's make the small business tax cuts permanent. And and and I think we ought to bring it up and vote on it Republicans would support it and Democrats it'd be very interesting because their rhetoric they claim they wanna make individual tax cuts permanent. But I'm willing to bet Bernie and the rest of his party would vote. No. But, but it would it would provide real clarity as to where they stand. I'm for cutting taxes on hardworking, Texas, the two thousand seventeen tax cuts there in December just before the end of the year. President Trump's the end of his first year in office benefited sixty six percent of all Americans by reducing the amount. They had to pay Americans. It was broad. It was the it it cut into all layers of our economy all seven tax brackets. And yet I read today that of sixty six million Americans are sixty six percent of Americans benefited direct. From that only twenty percent realized they received a tax cut change that. Well, the Democrats are very good at demagoguery and and the media parrots their attacks. And and so it's it's amazing. How many how many Democrats just said things that aren't true? If you look at the results, we cut taxes across the board. And and so I if you're a taxpayer in Texas other than for a handful of the super wealthy just about every taxpayer in Texas had their taxes cut and cut significantly by this tax cut. Not only that though the effect of the tax cut along with repealing job killing regulations. We're seeing an economic boom as I mentioned five million new jobs in the last two and a half years that that is a lot of new jobs. We're seeing in Texas and across the country. We're seeing wages going up the number one state for wage increases is the great state of Texas. And and I'll give you my favorite stat last two years which. Is in the last two years over five million people have come off of food stamps. And and Michael the powerful thing about that. That's not just a number on a pie chart, those our lives being transformed. Those are people who two and a half years ago were dependent on the federal government for their basic food needs. Who now presumably they've gotten a job. They're out working. They're coming home each night. They've got a bag of groceries in their arms. They're setting it on the kitchen table. These are moms and dads were looking at looking their kids in the eyes and who had the dignity of work have the self perspective saying I'm providing for my family that is power on. You know, what those folks are benefiting from the tax cut. Also, even if they don't know it because the economic environment, the growth of small businesses and jobs is a big part of what the naval them to come off food stamps and get those jobs and have that dignity of work. Senator Ted Cruz is our guest we're going to go to break and forty five seconds. I'm gonna record with you during the break. So we can keep you on a play that in the next segment in those forty seconds named to places when you come back to Houston that you have to eat you gotta get your fix. No matter what time of day. "Senator Ted Cruz is our guest. We're doing great. We're going hard and fast, as as you know, last night, we did the fiftieth rally and last six weeks all across the state, and we did it a threat neck country club, you were there, and we had an incredible enthusiasm excitement, and it's all designed to turn people out today election day, and and and everyone listening. Please. Please, please. If you haven't voted come out and vote because we we are fighting for the state of Texas when my wife was secretary of state, she got to travel to places that she'd never been in the state, and she said, this is really an amazing state as you get out and about I've been watching the size of the crowds, the energy of the crowds far flung corners of this state. It has to be exhilarating to travel state this big and see these kind of crowds showing up for you and excited to send you to the United States Senate. Well, Texas is an incredible place, and it's one of the wheel blessings every day. I wake up. Ju ju just. Represent twenty eight million texts used to go fight for twenty eight million Texans. And when you travel, you know, the last six weeks, we've had a double decker bus that that that that that has traveled all over state. We've been in east, Texas, we've been west Texas. We've been in the panhandle within the valley and every community is different. The diversity across the state is amazing. But but there's also commonality we all value and cherish freedom. There is a rugged frontier. Independence to Texas that that is unlike any other state, and it's incredible. When you get to see it firsthand, and I'll tell you Mike will the excitement which were saying, you know, we were down in the valley. Two thousand people come out in Harlingen two thousand people come out mission that same day we're over in Laredo. We had over thousand people come out Laredo all across the state people want to defend freedom. And and was thrilled for the economic boom. We're seeing Texas is booming jobs are blooming, and we want to keep that going. I've talked to several of the pollsters in the state in some of the C folks, and some of the national folks in the last few days, and one of the things that keeps coming up is how well you are doing in border counties in the valley. And my my sense of that must be that the folks who are most affected negatively by illegal immigration by border migration, or the folks who were saying here's a guy who's serious about securing our border is that what's going on. You know, Michael, I think that's right. And and and I think the national media and Democrats like beta what they get wrong about how to win the Hispanic vote in Texas is is they think that the to get Hispanic in Texas the vote for you gotta go hard left. You gotta support open, borders, and amnesty and socialism all of which is what beta rox campaigning on. But but but that that's almost like you've never actually met a real Hispanic voter in state of Texas. Look the Hispanic community. Our community is conservative. We believe in fate family, patriotism, hard work, the American dream. And and you're exactly right that that is Hispanic communities that often see many of the most direct pump sequences of illegal immigration that that that that illegal immigrants that are coming off and move into neighborhoods that are predominantly Hispanic. That means they're taking jobs from US citizens from legal immigrants, and and and when they're when they're coming in when it's MS thirteen. Eighteen when it's gang that are coming in. It is often Hispanic community that seeing the consequences of the crime of the violence of the drug abuse that that comes from it. And and what most Texans one. Is commonsense. Secure the border, stop illegal immigration. And and and welcome those who come here legally. There's a right way to come to this country, which is to to stand in line and follow the rules and come here legally that that the overwhelming majority of Texans agreement that Senator Ted Cruz is our guest, even some of the president's biggest allies, and I know on Fox News they've had several panels on the subject have said, this is a booming economy. The president should be bragging about that. At the big rally. He did for you here. Downtown he noted that in getting tax cuts. You were at the point of the spear on that you've been a leader on that. 'cause do you think that more Texans should be recognizing? Yes. The borders important. But man, we're doing better unemployment rates at record lows economic growth at record has does it frustrate you that this shouldn't even be close considering how strong the economy's been in. How policies you've championed have? Put us there. Well, I do think the people of Texas. We are seeing real results we have one big big victories for the people of Texas in the last two years, and and none more important than what's happening in the economy. My number one priority is you know, Michael is jobs jobs jobs jobs because that's the top priority of Texas. We want more jobs higher wages. We want more opportunity and the way you get jobs is cutting taxes, simplifying the tax code and reducing job killing regulations. All of that gets government out of the way. And it lets the incredible small businesses owners and entrepreneurs in Texas do what they do best wishes create jobs. I worked hand in hand with the president with with my colleagues in congress. We passed the biggest tax cut agenda in a generation we repeal job killing regulations. And what's happening in Texas. In the economy is incredible. We're right now today producing thirty three percent more oil than we did just two years ago. We right now today have the lowest unemployment forty nine years. We've got the lowest African American unemployment that has ever been recorded. We've got the lowest Hispanic unemployment that has ever been recorded and Texans. We wanna keep the second omic boom going and the way to do. So is come out and vote today and vote for the policies of low taxes and lower regulations that keep jobs growing in Texas. Just saw in my show prep this morning. I was going to get to it after you. And I finished our chat department of energy says the August numbers shows the US is now the world's largest oil producer. That is a direct result of policies. Absolutely. And and for eight years of Obama, we saw federal government hammering oil and gas opposed to the energy industry. And by the way, that is one of the big big divides. In this Texas Senate race in the last six years, I have been deed leading champion of the energy industry of oil and gas of jobs in Texas, and the reason is simple because energy producers millions of jobs in Texas, directly or indirectly. And and if you care about jobs in Texas, you want energy, thriving and Baidoa Rourke has been a left wing progressive enemy of the energy industry. He has voted in favor of a ten dollar a barrel tax and every barrel of oil produced in Texas. He's voted repeatedly in favor of carbon taxes is voted in favor of aggressive federal regulation of fracking. He's voted in favor of aggressive federal regulation of Ellen g exports liquid natural gas exports every one of those policies would cost thousands upon thousands of jobs. Jobs across the state of Texas would be bad for Texas. And and so I if you work in in energy, you'd have to be out of your mind to vote for beta a rookie, and let me encourage you come out and vote today and bring your friends, but even if you don't work in energy, if you care about jobs, if you want the economy booming in Texas, come out and vote today and not only that pick up the phone. Call five your friends, we know the hard less extreme they're energized their mobilized, they're angry, they're showing up and so if you stay home, if your friends stay home, you are seeing the future of Texas in this country to the radical unhinged last, and you don't wanna do that Senator say right there, you can you hang with us for one more break. All right. We'll.

"So that energy, especially if you multiply it times the entire nation allows for Texas to essentially keep some of that political money here, which has been a real problem for Democrats. It's truly indicates that it's Texas has been like an ATM for the rest of the country. They've come to take the money and then has spread it to West Virginia in California never else well or works candidacy and his visibility has really allowed the money to stay here and be used to build the Democratic Party. But Abby ebbing Livingston on the other hand, Senator Ted Cruz. He's he's getting some support from the national GOP. I mean, the president himself is going to campaign for for the Senator that brings a energy and and money as well to to his campaign to an extent. I mean, Trump could do just as much to energize the democratic basis, the Republican base, but on the reverse. That resources coming to Texas to defend Ted Cruz extraordinary things. So there's a group called the club for growth that is spending for groups. And generally, I promise you, they would probably rather be spending somewhere else. They invest in house races and Senate races, and so this Texas is becoming a money pit for the Republican party. And I think there's a scenario where we could wake up the day after the election in a roar has lost several of these competitive US house races that have never been competitive before stay in the GOP column, and people in Texas may say will, well, that was a failure. But if you take a step back this, the to save these people resources have been diverted from other places and incumbents in those places could go down because of the money being spent in Texas. So Democrats could win in Texas by losing. Let's get a couple more callers in here. Dana is calling from curvier, Texas. You're on the air, Dana. By we bien. That's that's the extent of my Spanish. "Are you voting for people because you actually agree with what it is? They're saying they'll do did interesting quandary, we examined that and much more. And also we examined a very tight race for US Senate the state of Texas with this Senator for the great state of Texas a Republican from from Houston. It is Senator Ted Cruz. How are you? I'm doing fantastic. Joe? How're you doing David? I'm living the dream where we're reflecting on. Obviously this being the anniversary of nine eleven two thousand one also the anniversary of nine eleven two thousand twelve we can't forget about Benghazi and the ridiculous lies that were told then reflecting on what happened seventeen years ago. Your thoughts today? September eleventh changed this country. Every one of us remembers where we were when that happened for me Heidi. And I we were both living in DC. We're both serving in the George W Bush administration. Heidi was working in the White House that day and when the planes when the first plane hit one of the twin towers, the secret service came through the White House. And and and told everyone stay where you are. I was at the time walking out of our apartment. We had an apartment in in northern Virginia right by the Pentagon, and Heidi called home and said, turn all the TV look what's happening. Then when the second plane watch we all watched in horror realizing that that, you know, the first plane a lot of us thought, it might have been some horrible accident, maybe the pilot at a heart attack. Right. But when the second plane hit we knew in an instant that this was an act of war, and and for Heidi the secret service began running running down the hallway with the White House saying get out now don't walk run. She ran out. She couldn't get her car. It was an underground parking garage. So she pulled off her high heels, and then she walked home barefoot across memorial bridge when the next plane hit the Pentagon, as I said, we were just about a mile away from the Pentagon, and you could smell the soot mash, and it was a moment that it was the worst attack on US soil since Pearl Harbor at it galvanize the nation at brought us together brought to resolve all then that resolve has resulted in some incredible victories, including toppling, the Taliban. Afghanistan and defeating and killing Osama bin Laden, and including the last two years utterly routing ISIS, and and and taking virtually every square inch of territory they had seized denying them their caliphate. And and and at the sobering reminder of of the radical Islamic terrorists who kill us. But but also, the incredible courage, and bravery and resolve of Americans, especially the soldiers and sailors, airmen, marines who risked everything defending this nation. And and and and fighting our enemies, it's Senator Ted Cruz Republican the great state of Texas. He's up for reelection in November, Ted if I would've told you in two thousand one that and it didn't take seventeen years. I mean, it probably happened in in ten years that we would hate the police some communities would we would we would hate our neighbors. We would be on social media absolutely hating each other that that people who call themselves democratic socialists would be winning primaries. Would you believe? That. You know, I don't think anyone would have been big in how bad it is. I don't think anyone would have envisioned the political correctness gone amok that that you would have. Avowed socialist as as as the mainstream of the Democratic Party that you would have Washington democrat like Vado Aurora campaigning thing he's open to abolishing ice to abolishing immigration and customs enforcement agency. Know, I don't think anyone imagined ninety two ten years ago years ago that we would be actively debate debating people protesting during the national anthem national anthem used to be something that brought us together gratified, whatever your politics, whatever your views, you know, in Texas. We stand up we stand for the national anthem. We put our hearts, go ahead over our heart. Or if you're in uniform you salute and that's something that ties us together. And it's this this better division that I think is really bad for the country. You know, where saying it in Texas, the state board of education tomorrow is voting on a recommendation from their advisory committee to delete the word her roic from the description of the defenders of the Alamo. That's just crazy that they a revisionist history that the that you've got those on the progressive far left that they're embarrassed being American. They're embarrassed to being Texans. If it's like this new movie about the alarm. Landing on the moon. We're Hollywood edited out planning the American flag. I mean, this should be bringing us together. And and and the radical left I think doing a lot of damages by by their assaults on on on who we are as a people and interestingly, the the actor in that movie said, well, it was a human thing. It wasn't an American thing. Of course, he's Canadian. So he probably doesn't know better. Chuck Yeager called him on the carpeting said, yeah, that's not the Neil Armstrong. I knew it Senator Ted Cruz, Ted Cruz dot org. Ted Cruz dot org. You've got a guy who's not bad looking in. Robert francis. Beta O'Rourke, he he's been called the Hispanic Bobby Kennedy, which I don't get he doesn't have a drop of Hispanic blood in him. But having said that the guy is running to abolish I so abolish the organization that stopped sex trafficking of little girls abolish organization that stops the smuggling of drugs in humans wants to abolish organization that stops the flow of weapons across the border. He also wants to impeach the president wants to take away your tax cut. Wants to raise the taxes on the on the guy that employs you how on earth is he within forty points of view. I don't get it. Well, what we're seeing right now, this is an unusual time in politics, the extreme left. They're angry. They're energized, their they're flooding the state of Texas with tens of billions of dollars, and you know, every time Baidoa work in braces, this far left position when he comes out for impeaching Donald Trump is he has and by the way, he's the only Democratic Senate nominee in the country to do that. Elizabeth Warren hasn't done that. Let that sink in. I'm sorry. Elizabeth Warren, he calls her polka hana's. She doesn't want to impeach him. Or doesn't say. So this guy has go ahead. Bernie Sanders hasn't called for impeaching. The president Nancy Pelosi has called for impeaching the president veto roar cast, and when he goes hard left. What happens is Hollywood liberals liberals all over the country flood, the state was cashier raises millions of dollars from that, you know, as you know, he and I had been having a big dispute over his strong support for the NFL. Protestors protestors who are taking a knee and refusing to stand during the national anthem. I, you know, I gotta tell you. I think that's disrespectful that's disrespectful to our servicemen and women to the to the heroes who fought for this country. And and listen, of course, everyone has a first amendment right out and say what you believe, but you can do it in a way that isn't disrespectful to the flag into the anthem, and and and to our veterans, and and when he did that. Pack. He once again, raise millions and millions of dollars. So his campaign is out raising three to one because national liberals are angry. And and everyone in Texas should understand that is very dangerous. Now, the good news is in Texas. They're still a lot more a lot more conservatives than liberals. But we gotta make sure commonsense. Conservative show after vote they have to go and vote. It's it's Senator Ted Cruz Republican the great state of Texas. He is the office holder now and has done every single thing. He promised to me when he ran the first time that he would do and not promise me as joepags me Texan, and we've got fifteen radio stations now in Texas, and they need to hear the message that he might look good. You look good too. I'm not taking that away from you. But you might be the shiny new thing that Ellen likes or something. But the man's politics are far left wing progressive. Nothing more nothing less. The he tells me if I got. Right. The other day. He was actually speaking on behalf of political action committee getting the help of political action committee saying he was rejecting political action committees. Am I getting that right? You are right. And he's done that more than once he likes to hold himself out as rejecting packs, and and yet he penned a DC fundraiser for a big pack there. You know, he's got another pack called, the Jay street pack, which is a virulent anti Israel packages. It's one of the most notorious anti Israel packs. They've they've raised over one hundred eighty thousand dollars for him because beta Aurore caz, the most anti Israel record of any member any democratic nominee for Senate. And let me give you the facts behind it because it's important. It's talking about substance. And and not just what the media profile talk about. Which is how much they love his hair. And and and and his his big, right? In twenty fourteen HAMAs raining rockets down on Israel, right? Beethoven Rourke was one of eight only eight members of the house of representatives to vote against funding. Israel's iron dome missile defense system, virtually every Republican voted. Yes. Virtually every democrat voted, yes. Nancy Pelosi voted. Yes. Maxine Waters voted. Yes. They voted out. He wouldn't stand with Israel. So, of course, the big gay street pack there enthusiastically supporting him while beta campaign saying he's against all packs. I if. It's something we've gotten used to saying our last Liberal Democrats where where their language back home doesn't match their conduct in Washington. And at the same time. He also at the same time. It was a few years later last year. He said no to the hurricane Harvey relief. What was the excuse given for that? How does it Texan ever say note about I don't get it? Well, you know, it really wasn't stunning thing. I mean Harvey with just over a year ago, it devastated, Texas, a devastated. My hometown of Houston, and I helped lead the effort for three major disaster relief bills that went through congress passed provided billions of dollars a relief, and I authored emergency tax relief for victims of the hurricane over five billion dollars in emergency tax relief that passed both houses of congress. President Trump signed the law only four Texas Democrats voted, no. So virtually all of the Democrats in Texas voted, right, but four voted no one of them was Dato Aurora. And it was a simple example of. His trying to please. Liberal activists nationally. Rather than focusing on Texas. It's the same as supporting the flag dealers. It's the same as impeaching the president. He's concerned with its Hollywood donors and the national liberals. And so the reason by the way, he voted no to tax relief for Harvey is that he wanted to hold that hostage for other programs. He wanted to expand the chip program he wanted to ban amnesty. And so he said he was going to vote no on tax relief for Harvey or totally unrelated programs. Most of the Texas Democrats said we're not gonna do that. We're actually going to stand with Texas. But but that's not what bad or Roxanne. We'll be items were all disconnected from the actual relief that was necessary to rebuild that town and other cities that were horribly affected by hurricane Harvey Senator Ted Cruz, Republican the great state of Texas ten last question. You guys were set to do a debate in Dallas. He ducked you on the debate. He just said that's not going to happen. Why haven't you guys debated yet? What's the problem? I've actually talked to beta O'Rourke. He's a nice enough guy. It seems. But it seems like he's trying to direct. Exactly how this is going to go and the voters don't want that the voters want to see you to mix it up a little bit. I think that's exactly right. As you know, I invited him to do five debates the most in US Senate history in Texas. The first one was supposed to be a couple of weeks ago. It was going to be hosted by NBC news and the Dallas Morning News. Not exactly right wing or definitely not accepted. I said yes, betas skipped and he refused to attend. And and I think what's happening is that I think his his political consultants and handlers are telling him the media's protecting your right now. They have you in this warm embrace of Coon where every profile talks about you talks about you in terms of puppy dogs and rainbows and doesn't mention anything about your radical voting record about you're talking about abolishing ice that you're wanting to impeach the president. And if you have a debate it's gonna become evident just how out of step your views are with the people of tech. Exactly, right. I think it exposes him. And he doesn't he's getting exposure. That he wants a needs. And he's gonna ruin that. If he actually has to answer to real topics and religious now, I do think we will end up having some debates. I think he's not gonna be able to run the whole time. But let me tell you final point just doing courage you on the last two weeks. I've done nineteen town halls all over the state of Texas. Great just about every single townhall people come up to me afterwards and say, I'm a democrat. I've always been a democrat. I'm with you now and Greg because the National Democratic Party getting so extreme when you had people like Baidoa Rourke saying impeach the president. Let's talk about abolishing ice their millions of moderate Democrats have conservative Democrats in Texas who are suddenly saying, they don't have a home in the National Democratic Party. That's just consumed with Donald Trump, right Senator Ted Cruz. We always appreciate the time. I actually spoke with them on September eleventh. And that's why the reference to to the commemoration of that anniversary. It's it's a tighter race in Texas that you would expect I look forward to them. Baiting. They did announce three debates yesterday one in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio. And we'll certainly stay on top of that race your thoughts. One eight hundred five zero one seventy eighty joepags dot com. Stay here..
