Sen. Ted Cruz Calls Out Phony Journalism on Border Crisis
"So there's senator Ted Cruz who's been fighting this left and right He's actually on the border yesterday and there's a reporter Much like we had that reporter remember when comer was done Talking about all the shell corporations What about Trump Because this is phony journalism today Listen to this Ted Cruz cut 6 go Let me ask you something Let me ask you something What right of illegal immigration do we have in 2020 Do you know anything I asked your question in office Do you know anything How long have you been I've been in office 11 years now Okay Except your okay you don't get to argue with me You asked your question You asked your question You don't want to hold a press conference You can do it over there You want to hold a press conference you can do it over there How are you So hold on I'm going to answer his question The talking point of the Democrats which this media reporter happily parrots Is gosh the problem can't be fixed There's one little problem with that it is an utter and complete lie in 2020 The last year the Trump presidency we had the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years You ask what have I done I've championed the men and women of border patrol I've championed securing the border A champion remained in Mexico and we turn this problem around and solved it and we went from Joe Biden inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years and the first day in office He made political decisions to cause this problem and you should be ashamed of yourself because you're a reporter and you're not reporting facts You're telling lies That a boy But he's not ashamed of himself He'll get a Pulitzer
Sen. Ted Cruz Erupts on Reporter's Democratic Talking Points at Border
"I'll share with you the frustration of senator Ted Cruz. He got real fired up. He's at the border, and he got into a one on one with somebody who was challenging him on the Republicans and the and the border. Listen to this. Let me ask you something. Let me ask you something. What rate of alien immigration do we have in 2020? But you have the thing. I asked your question in office. Do you know anything? How long have you been in? I've been in office 11 years now. I think the calendar in multiple administration accepts your okay, you don't get to argue with me. You ask your question. You ask your question. You don't want to hold a press conference. You can do it over there. You want to hold a press conference, you can do it over there. How are you? So hold on. I'm going to answer his question. The talking point of the Democrats, which this media reporter happily parrots is gosh, the problem can't be fixed. There's one little problem with that it is an utter and complete lie. In 2020, the last year of the Trump presidency, we had the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years. You ask what have I done? I've championed the men and women of border patrol. A champion securing the border, a champion remain in Mexico, and we turn this problem around and solved it and we went from Joe Biden inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years and the first day in office. He made political decisions to cause this problem. And you should be ashamed of yourself because you're a reporter and you're not reporting facts. You're telling lies.
FAA head defends safety of US air travel after close calls
"The head of the federal aviation administration is defending safety of U.S. air travel after some close calls and some technology failures. A breakdown in the federal system that provides safety alerts to pilots grounded flights last month, acting FAA administrator Billy Nolan couldn't promise there won't be another breakdown. We will continue on this journey of modernization. I've asked and I've directed our team to look at what is our ability to accelerate that timeline. Texas Republican senator Ted Cruz also showed video of a close call between two planes in Austin. How can this happen? How did air traffic control direct one plane onto the runway to take off at another plane to land and have them both within

Ted Cruz Warns DHS Secretary Mayorkas Should Be Impeached
"Senator Ted Cruz joins us now, senator, welcome back to the program. You are calling for a quick impeachment of mayorkas, walk us through it. Well, Charlie, great to be with you. Alejandro mayorkas has done the worst job imaginable as secretary of Homeland Security. Under his tenure, we have seen the worst illegal immigration in the history of our country just last month. We had the highest illegal immigration ever recorded in a single month in the history of the United States of America. And it's not simply that mayorkas won't do his job. If he had utterly abdicated his responsibility, if he did nothing, if he just sat on a chair and spun. That would be better than what he's been doing. Because doing nothing at least wouldn't do affirmative damage. Instead, what he is doing is he is actively defying federal law. He is actively flouting federal immigration law. He is directing those under his control, not only not to secure the border, not only not to deport people coming here illegally, but he is directing them to expedite people coming here illegally to process them more quickly to make it a faster process. So the 5.4 million people that have crossed under Joe Biden's presidency, he wants to more than double that number. He wants to get faster and process Alejandro mayorkas today is the world's largest human trafficker.
What Happened to the Popularity That Nikki Haley Once Enjoyed?
"Happened to the popularity that Nikki Haley once enjoyed? Let's go to a couple pieces of tape here. Let's talk to, let's see Nikki Haley here talking to Brett Baer, cut 50, two weeks ago. Nikki Haley teasing that she's going to run for president. Now we know she is play cut 50. But when you're looking at a run for president, you look at two things. You first look at, does the current situation push for new leadership? The second question is, am I that person that could be that new leader? Yes, we need to go on a new direction. And can I be that later? Yes, I think I can be that leader. I've never lost a race. I said that then I still say that now. I'm not going to lose now, but stay tuned. 52, she continues and says it's time for a new generation to lead play cut 52. The survival of America matters. And it's bigger than one person. And when you're looking at the future of America, I think it's time for new generational change. I don't think you need to be 80 years old to go be a leader in D.C.. I think we need a young generation to come and step up and really start fixing things. So Nikki Haley running for president shows that Donald Trump is going to have some serious competitors. Competition. Now, Nikki Haley is not going to resonate with the grassroots base immediately. She's going to raise a pile of money though. A ton of money. I can say this as somebody who has been very blessed to raise a fair amount of money at turning point USA and turning point action and turning point pack and been around the conservative donor space for ten years and I listened to what they have to say and I agree that some and I disagree some but Nikki Haley is definitely a consensus candidate for the American conservative donor class. They love Nikki Haley.
Is Nikki Haley About to Put Her Hat in the Ring for President?
"Nikki Haley seems to be running for president of the United States of the scoop last evening. The media is reporting that Nikki Haley is going to announce for the presidency on February 15th. The day after Valentine's Day, you see, a couple of years ago, Nikki Haley was really looked at as the future of American conservatism. Objectively she was a very conservative governor of South Carolina. That is true. However, she would always go out of her way to try to pander to media narratives and Donald Trump selected her to be the ambassador to the United Nations when she went and became the ambassador to the United Nations. That's where I personally started to find a lot of disagreement with Nikki Haley. Let me say this before any further. I've actually had a very warm relationship with Nikki Haley. I know her son. She has spoken at turning point USA events. I have nothing negative to say about my interactions with her. She just recently spoke at a turning point USA chapter meeting in Clemson. I'm certainly not supporting her for the presidency in 2024. We're going to talk about that, but I find it very interesting. I find her candidacy interesting for a couple reasons because it does show that despite all the bad news, I think the party is changing for the better because a couple of years ago, even prior to Donald Trump, somebody like Nikki Haley would have automatically been accepted as a consensus top tier candidate. But Nikki Haley, I'm sure you could find an article. Somebody could have Nikki Haley 2000 16 or 2018 2020 presidential poll, some poll that somebody did a favorability. She used to be one of the most popular Republican figures out there and she is no longer. Now she could, again, and I'm going to walk through how I think we should not underestimate Nikki Haley. I think she's very talented. She'll raise a ton of money and she works, man. I'm telling you, she is ambitious.
MorningStar Ministries' Chris Reed on the Conditionality of Prophecy
"I'm talking to Chris Reed of Morningstar ministry's Chris. I'm sure that there are just people stunned by what we're talking about. I encourage them to watch the video where you deliver this stuff at Morningstar TV dot com so they can get it. But so you said that, first of all, the, that the Prince Andrew, who has been plausibly tied to some of the Jeffrey Epstein stuff that this would overwhelm him to the point that you said he would try to take his life or he would be tempted to take his life. The thing that you just showed us on the screen implied that he would succeed in that. But when you spoke on December 29th, you told us to pray for him that you didn't see that as a theta complete. Yeah. Yeah, once again, I want to say, some of these things, you see in part, you see glimpses of it in these visionary experiences and I saw him in such a place of desperation and grief. I mean, of course he lost his mother and so on and so forth. And I saw him try to take his own life and it seemed like he was successful, but another part of me felt like that this could be prayed against. Just like this whole thing I saw with Ted Cruz. I thought a health crisis, you know, coming for senator Ted Cruz and I feel like that can be averted if enough people begin to pray because we need him. He's throwing conservative in Texas and I'm praying God will protect him and preserve him and keep him from harm. Well, so some of this stuff is conditional and you're just talking about what God showed you, but you did you did say that God clearly showed you that the marriage of Harry and Meghan would not last. He will be played the fool, yes. He will be he will realize at I can't, I don't know the exact date of this, okay? I'm sharing in 2023 things that could happen. I don't want to limit this to 2023. This may, you know, two or three years. I don't know, but I did see them split. Yes. And his attempt to reconcile with his family.

Julie Kelly: There Was Massive Involvement by FBI on Jan. 6th
"What's in your I hate the expression heart of hearts but my mother used to say it all time What's in your heart of hearts You think there was some involvement there Oh I think there was massive involvement by the FBI not just that day but months leading up to it We know from New York Times reporting at least two informants were run into the Proud Boys organization I have motions filed by defense attorneys in the oath keepers case that they at least 20 FBI ATF agents undercover were near some of those descendants early that day And so what's most fascinating Dan is when senator Ted Cruz confronted Jill Sanborn one of the top chief counter terrorism chief at the FBI Asked her point blank twice How many FBI undercover agents are informants were either engaged in or provoked Violent conduct on January 6th she wouldn't answer the question Now if none of them did it would be a no brainer The answer is no of course that senator we don't tolerate that the FBI did men and women blah blah blah She didn't say anything like that She refused to answer There's no follow-up from her now 6 months later since she refused to answer those questions But look we have to look no further than the Whitmer FBI capacity kidnapping I call it the fed camping hoax Were you had multiple not just multiple FBI undercover agents and informants Dan They were working out of numerous FBI field offices This was an expensive and expansive operation to entrap these men and a jury in April occluded two of them and had a hundred on the other two after defense attorneys successfully argued they had been entrapped by this FBI That was October of 2020 Just a few months before January 6th in the same guy running that operation was made to the D.C. FBI office in mid October 2020 So lots of parallels there but you know what the FBI is capable of
Washington Examiner Editorial: Trump Proven Unfit for Power Again
"Washington examiner obviously has some new executives And I'm not fond of these unsigned editorials These corporate editorials But here's the editorial that was put out a 1201 a.m. Trump proven unfit for power again Former White House say Cassidy hutchison's Tuesday testimony But a ring the death now for former president Donald Trump's political career Trump is unfit to be anywhere near power ever again This is what we get out of conservative newspaper Hutchison's resume alone should establish her credibility so again without any challenge she's credible Why wouldn't she be The 25 year old had already worked at the highest levels of conservative Republican politics Including in the offices of senator Ted Cruz and House minority whip Steve scalise Before becoming a top aide for former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows So far none of this has anything to do with anything
"senator ted cruz" Discussed on Bloomberg Radio New York
"Me Excuse me Senator Ted Cruz is on the stage You can hear him telling him to sit down He was escorted out of the room And we'll talk a little bit more about this later on with Jessica Taylor Beto o'rourke then held a sort of impromptu news conference outside the temperature is rising And as we consider the idea of gun controls as we consider political solutions here if I can use either term today there is legislation on Capitol Hill that could get that ball rolling Congressman Mike Thompson Democrat from California chairs the house gun violence prevention task force and sponsored the background checks bill that passed the house and has yet to move in the Senate He's with us now Congressman welcome back to Bloomberg Thank you very much I'm just sad to be here under these circumstances I wish we were here to talk about something else Of course but I appreciate your being with us as the background checks bill that you sponsored and saw past the house is beginning a lot of talks since yesterday I'd like to start by asking you how it works This would cover all gun sales nationally correct That's correct Right now the federal floor is that if anyone buys a gun from a licensed dealer they have to get a background check And sadly in many states that floor that federal floor is the ceiling So someone can go into a gun store attempt to buy a gun find out that their prohibitive loan in a gun maybe they're a criminal maybe they're dangerously mentally ill a domestic abuser they're refused to sail and they can go out and they can go to they go to computer store next door and go online and find someone who's selling the same gun but not a dealer by the same gun and the McDonald's parking lot And it's just it's this flawed system and by requiring a background check for all gun sales you'll stop a lot of people who shouldn't be getting guns from buying firearms Governor Abbott today in Texas says there has been no criminal history identified at least yet there was no known mental health history congressman with your Bill have stopped him from buying those two rifles I don't know all of the particulars about that individual but I have never pretended to believe that any bill mine or anybody else's can stop all gun violence It's just one step we can take to make our communities safer The only law that would stop all gun violence is a law that would do away with all guns And no one is proposing that We're just trying to take an incremental step to be able to make our communities and our schools safer Background checks are something that we know work and we know that if we expand them to include all gun sales we will in fact make our community safer It's something that has broad bipartisan support across the country So while we need to take this step your bill passed the house with the help of 8 Republicans one Democrat voted against it All I keep hearing is this couldn't possibly pass a 50 50 Senate Do you believe that Well it would pass the 50 50% If it could come up for a vote but the problem in the center as you know you need ten Republicans over there to allow a bill to come up for a vote Right So if we can find ten Senate Republicans who had the courage that it would take to help make their community safer we could bring that Bill up and it was bad So you can't clear that cloture vote senators Joe Manchin and pat toomey as I'm sure you know are offering a bit of a compromise bill that requires background checks on all commercial sales including gun shows but not individual private sales to family or friends Is that a loophole in your view congressman I think we need to expand background checks to cover all guns The bill that I have takes care of the issue of faculty that got on to a family member but that bill that the amendment actually that mentioned in two me offered way back when I think is a much lesser threshold over community safety We're talking with congressman Mike Thompson Democrat from California I know congressman you're a lifelong gun owner and a Vietnam War veteran And you've drawn the distinction between guns for hunting and sport and guns that are weapons of war as you put a governor Abbott again said at the NRA convention in 2018 that the cause was specifically not about hunting in sport Listen to what he said and we'll have you respond These men and women understood the necessity of the individual right to keep and bear arms Not for hunting not for sporting but to defend themselves from dangerous attacks.
Josh Mandel: J. D. Vance Has Been Camped out in Silicon Valley
"Today and in the past you've been backed by Tea Party organizations You've been backed by gun rights organizations You've been backed by outsider organizations You've been the outsider fighting all the time when you were treasurer You were the outsider fighting the entrenched government in Ohio and so forth I'm just asking you a straight question Was JD Vance anywhere to be seen or heard No word I mean literally this guy's been camped out in Silicon Valley for years his personal bread his business bread and his campaign bread is all buttered by Silicon Valley I mean like I said earlier I think he's a Silicon Valley sleeper cell And that's what he'll be in Washington as well And I think a lot of the people here in Ohio see JD advance and that's why they're going to reject them at the ballot box tomorrow And for any of you listeners that want to learn more about Ohio or their other parts of the country the websites real easy It's Josh mandel dot com J O S MAN to EL dot com It's not too late to pitch in if you want to go on there and pitch in ten bucks 20 bucks 50 bucks whatever it is We'll use the vote activities tonight and tomorrow We've got a huge get out the vote operation through churches and through pro gun groups and through pro life groups As you mentioned Mark I am the only candidate in the race that's endorsed by the national association of gun rights which is a no compromise not given an inch constitutional rights gun group I'm also the only candidate in the race endorsed by the right to life action coalition of Ohio who are the pointy tip of the spear leaders in the right to life movement and as mentioned been endorsed by senator Ted Cruz of Texas senator Mike Lee of Utah senator Cynthia lummis of Wyoming these are all senators who were endorsed by Jim demint in the Senate conservatives
Josh Mandel: I Am a Proud Constitutional Conservative
"When it comes to the border when it comes to spending as you just pointed out When it comes to critical race theory when it comes to a transgender agenda as opposed to individual decision making When it comes to all these things you're down the line individualism but you believe in family and faith And the proper processes for making these decisions This is an important fact don't you think particularly for people who come to Washington D.C. and say I'm a nationalist I'm a populist I'm a this some of that you're a conservative a constitutional conservative correct I am a constitutional conservative I might proud constitutional conservative It is one of the reasons why I've earned the endorsement of senator Ted Cruz It is one of the reasons I've earned the endorsement of senator Mike Lee I believe it's one of the reasons I've earned your endorsement The great one because I am a proud full spectrum constitutional conservative And I also have a deep recognition in the fact that America was founded and grew strong on a bedrock of judeo Christian values and those values are worth fighting for
The Biden Administration Has Zero Integrity
"The problem with the Biden administration is again they have the zero integrity and they lie about everything The Biden administration is trying to publicly play tough while behind the scenes They don't want to play tough with Russia because they don't want to escalate which by the way I don't think is a bad idea Having said that if they would just be honest about their position behind the scenes they wouldn't cause themselves as public embarrassment Here's what I mean I asked senator Ted Cruz about this yesterday It rare again that we play a radio interview twice but just not the whole thing but just this answer because it's important And he's read in on this program pretty well He knows a lot about it They don't want to escalate with Putin which is not a problem Just tell our international partners that we are going to try to find a way out of this that doesn't escalate into World War three delicately tell the American people without telegraphing every single thing we're going to do There's no need for that Just tell them We are doing our best here to assist the Ukrainians in their fight for self determination national borders and their own sovereignty but we're trying to do so in a manner that doesn't escalate this crisis into a nuclear World War three I think the American people Republicans and Democrats alike would be understandable But problem is they always lie The Biden administration's original take was oh you know the polls they don't want to help They're really not interested They're not going to help And then when the polls said the Polish government said really we're going to ship these MiGs over to ramstein in Germany and now you guys got them and you can go give them the UK and all of a sudden the story
The Activation of the Suburban Woman Voter Against This Regime Is a Stunning Turn of Events
"You look at Merrick Garland, you look at all the people testifying. You look at the Virginia governor's race, you look what's happening. They don't know how to handle a reignition of involvement and concern from moms and dads and parents that by the way, otherwise they might not have actually been the biggest Trump fans in the world. That's what's so interesting. Is that the activation of the suburban woman voter against this regime is a stunning turn of events. And it's just starting, by the way. And Merrick Garland and senator Ted Cruz got blessed some cross examining it. I think had the line of the day. Where he said to Merrick Garland, if I would have as a law Kirk for when rent quest put what you put in the memo as attorney general of the United States, I would have been laughed at and I would have been thrown out of the room. Escalation and violence, we actually read the national school board association memo. We're listed in the national school board association memo, turning point USA school board watch list. And we saw very early on, we weren't the only ones and credit to Tucker Carlson and so many other people, school board school board school boards, front lines, for the fight for liberty. Always peaceful, obviously, always being very respectful of the laws and the regulations, but you better believe you're going to complain. You're going to make some noise. You're going to use protected the First Amendment protected rights you have given to you by God not by government. To speak your voice to speak
Jake Ellzey Wins Runoff Election for Texas' 6th District
"Died in office yesterday in a closely watched congressional runoff between two Republicans in North Texas state lawmaker Jake LZ beat Susan right. In the special election to replace her late husband, Ktrs builds able was in Ennis, where L Z supporters gathered for election night. 20 year. Navy man Jake LZ considered this campaign a call of duty when he answered even though many thought he might not win. I honestly didn't expect this to happen this way. Because it's so hard LZ defeated Susan Wright with a little more than 53% of the vote. The sixth Congressional district includes parts of Tarrant County as well as Ellis and Navarro counties. This district's been Republican for decades when former President Trump and Senator Ted Cruz endorsed right. Political observers took notice. Ron Langen header and LZ supporter didn't care nothing against Susan. But what qualifies her to be in Congress? I don't know. Right? Ran on years of Republican Party involvement. L Z on his military and legislative service in conceding, right said it's time to back the winner. I want all this to get behind him and help him. The sixth District belongs to all of us, L z said. Now it's time for him to get down to business, Man. I'm ready to Love on my family, get some rest and then go to work whenever it's time to start working as the next congressman from the sixties I'm bills able in Ennis.
US Surgeon General: Covid Misinformation ‘Spreading Like Wildfire’ on Social Media
"Their hands full as the delta variant of the coronavirus. Tears through the country also circulating misinformation about the illness and the vaccines that the surgeon general believes big tech isn't doing enough to combat Dr Vivek Murthy spoke to Fox News Sunday. This is about the health of Americans, and that reality is that misinformation is still spreading like wildfire in our country, aided and abetted by technology platforms. On Friday, President Biden singled out Facebook, accusing the company of killing people. Facebook then called on the White House to stop finger pointing. It also laid out what it's done to clamp down on misinformation. After the White House revealed it was working with big tech to flag so called problematic posts. Conservatives pounds, calling it government censorship, everything we thought about the Biden administration about their willingness to trample on free speech to trample on the Constitution. Everything we feared they might do they are doing Texas Senator Ted Cruz on Fox's Sunday morning futures Republicans are
Seth Rogen Calls Ted Cruz a Fascist
"Senator ted cruz is our guest. And it came across the blotter just a few minutes ago. Fox news reporting that. Seth rogan called him a fascist fascist as the new racist. But he doesn't really seem to care what anybody calls him. He just doing his job. But when does the nonsense end you know you. You've got angry rich leftist. Who who just like to throw insults and and You know it. I actually think it's indicative of the environment where ian where there's so much hatred there so much ugliness and there's so much misinformation You know you. And i've talked about this before. I worry that with with social media with the internet that that that tribalist where we're just talking to people who agree with us and so the right listens to right wing media. The lessons left wing media. I if someone disagrees with you you unfriendly them on social media and we don't have shared access shared information anymore. So it's so it's it's like we're living in parallel universes and that i think is good for the country
Cruz Ramps up Criticisms of Big Business
"Let's talk about ted cruz in a new opinion piece for the wall street journal. Senator ted cruz pretended as though he wants to hold corporations accountable. But it's not due to their mistreatment of workers or the fact that they tend to severely underpaid the very people who make revenue for them. It's because he's worried about culture and how corporations are engaging in it. It's titled your woke. Money is no good here. Where ted cruz pretends if he's not gonna take corporate pack money argues the corporations have taken advantage of republicans for too long. I won't take their pack dollars anymore says crews so first off. Let's just acknowledge and get out of the way the fact that we don't believe him i personally don't believe him. I think that in one way or the other he will take money from corporations because otherwise how is he going to do what he does. This is this. Is ted cruz bread and butter. And the fact that he's pretending like he's not going to take corporate. Donations is ridiculous. But moving. Moving aside or moving to the other part that i wanted to bring up you know. He angrily writes about how these corporations are speaking out against georgia's voter suppression law. And he believes that that qualifies as engaging in whoa culture. Don't to be clear. I do think that the democratic party has a problem with quote unquote woke movies. And get to that in a minute. And i want people to understand that. It's actually a very nuanced issue. That is hurting the democratic party when it comes to local elections when it comes to the federal elections and we'll discuss it but crews argues that had these watch me woke it up. Ceo's actually read the bill. Instead of parenting the radical left talking points. They have discovered. They have no idea what they were talking about. A clutch of businesses or business leaders tried to win woke twitter points and clown themselves instead now. Obviously none of this is true. Corporations after being pressured to speak out actually did say that the voter suppression law. Georgia is a problem and it is a problem.

"The House managers were focused. They were organized. They relied upon both president the Constitution and legal scholars. They made a compelling argument. President's Trump's team were disorganized. They did everything they could, but to talk about the question at hand, and when they talked about it, they kind of glided over it almost as if they were embarrassed of their arguments. Now Haman, impartial juror and one side is doing a great job on the other side, doing a terrible job. On the issue at hand as an impartial juror. I'm going to vote for the side that did the good job. That's Bill Cassidy, Republican of Louisiana. There were other Republicans who had his same kind of bash the way that Trump's lawyers did it. Relaying what they had learned in two weeks in Wuhan. One of the key things that came out of their report was, they said it's highly unlikely that the coronavirus came out of the lab and Wuhan, China. Well. Last night, one of the advisers to the W. H O J. Me Metzler was on Fox with Laura Ingram. He's an adviser to the W. H O. And he says he's very alarmed by their report yesterday, he still believes Came out of one of the labs in Wuhan. And he says they were there for two weeks. They were not independent. They sat and listened to reports from Chinese officials. So China got to tell them what they think and believe. Yes, yes, Here's part of what he said last night, and I'm just neft that this has happened. I think it's really terrible way don't know Most of us don't know exactly how covert began. But certainly an accidental lab leak is a very, very credible possibility. Then, he says, the world has to get to the bottom of this and find out the truth. Well in the best of all possible worlds, we would have an international team that would be able to go to China. And have the ability to do an unrestricted forensic investigation of the Wuhan Institute of Neurology and other sites. This is in many ways a potential crime scene and Senator Ted Cruz this morning agrees with him. Senator Cruz reminds all Americans that there were reports of terrible safety practices at these labs more than a year ago, he says, people should remember that and we need to learn what happened at those labs. Both of those labs were not only studying viruses they were studying Corona viruses from bats. And the State Department more than a year earlier, had commented on the poor security protocols at the at those viruses that said in writing that there was a risk of a global pandemic originating from those government lands because they did such a poor job. Securing the virus is there's never been a thorough, credible, impartial third party investigation into it. The Chinese government immediately went into panic mode to hide this. The W H o today said, Well, we know that it didn't escape from the government labs. Why Because the Chinese communist government told us And members of that wh o team are now getting very defensive. They're getting angry. They're hearing this pushback and questions about the labs. Why? Why are you just so quickly taking the word of the Chinese that it was not at the labs? Well, I said it yesterday and I stand by it. It's kind of hard to believe when you've got a group made up half of the Chinese individuals, half of the WHO, and they're just hearing reports they had they come out and said, Well, we can tell you for sure it did not leak out of this lab because, blah, blah, blah, whatever the evidence is, but for them to give a report And I think that we're going to place any trust in it by saying it likely because it's a rare occasion it most likely didn't come out of the lab. It's likely it came from this Or maybe it's likely it came from that. They didn't give any Anything that was definitive on, Okay? We figured out the origin or we absolutely were able to eliminate that This was the origin. It was a con job. Just to cut to the chase. That's what happened yesterday. With that report here. How many jobs they've lost, and he doesn't care. At all. So for those workers, the answer is somebody else will get a job. The answer is that we are very eager to see those workers continue to be employed in good thing. Union jobs even if they might be different ones. Okay, So, so we're gonna cancel your job. We're gonna We're gonna make sure you're unemployed. And then we really hope we're eager to see you get another job were eager to see you get over. Not gonna help you find one? No, no, no, no. And he doubled down that the environment is more important that today's Democratic Party is not concerned with working men and women having jobs. And that the answer is will eliminate your jobs. And I guess good luck in the future, then Senator by the way, That's a great question. So basically he's good luck in finding something else again. Senator I think the answer is that we're going to create more good paying union jobs. So we can do that, while recognizing the fact that when the books are written about our careers, one of the main things will be judged on is Whether we did enough to stop the destruction of life on dropper T due to climate change. I've got to believe we could do both of those things. So there you go. That's it. Wait if when the books are written when history judges us They're they're not. The books will not care that we destroyed families that we destroy jobs that we left people on the unemployment line Or is there saying in the Koven thing here out of the food lines, we left him out in the cold. But you know what Way Lord, our carbon emission by 1.5%. That's that history will judge us correctly. Meanwhile, China's coal production went up. The highest point ever. In 2020, they pollute more than America and the European Union combined. So if anyone's going to do anything to stop, climate change is going to be China. And the problem is that Pete Buddha judges and the Joe Biden's of the world You're not strong enough to stand up to China, and they're gonna make them join the Paris climate change as a not a developing nation because they have a carve out so the world's most polluting country that puts the most carbon in the air that for half of the year there, major cities are barely livable because of smog and pollution. They get a pass. They don't have to change anything. But we United States of America. We're just gonna lay people off. We're gonna have families go hungry and have to make more difficulty decisions because we like a pipeline that doesn't even contribute to the carbon dioxide problem over the world or the United States. No one wins in that scenario and ultimately Buddha judges being told what to do, and his job is to figure out how to explain it to the senators. And that's the best he could come up with. Otherwise, He basically just said, I don't really care about those jobs. A lot of jobs from Wisconsin. You know, that stated overwhelmingly voted for job. Oh, yeah. 20,000 votes, everyone. But don't worry. The National Guard was on standby, ready to act. If any one of those people kneeled during the national anthem, E was mightily concerned about the fashions on display from the people trying to do the coup. It looked like farm and fleet goes to burning man. It was really you know, I was looking at it, and I love how the capitalists of open rights like it's the People's house, and that's why it was easy to get in. But I have to say there's a castle on the island that that I'm from in Cove, and it has like little slits at the top of it to pour hot boy light of it has it has what's called a murder hole? Yes, on and it works. You know, it's worked for 2000 years. No to keep out the marauders, and they're terrible fashions. Did you ever have to? As you were growing up in this island? Serve in the castle to defend from marauders? Or does that only happened once you move to America? Yeah, It's funny, isn't it? A lot of people are like this is not America I'm like, but I've only ever seen this in America. But on. I should also say that, like the castle in Cole's now they just project the big Santa falls onto it at Christmas time. It's not the murder hole is no longer in use may well, not yet. Now we should say that the people who tried to overthrow democracy did not, at least for the moment when they did not stop the certification of Joe Biden's victory. There's the Senate reconvene later in the trash capital, and Mitch McConnell gave up heartfelt speech about democracy after which he had to give the heart back to the cadaver. He stole it from. Oh, But what was amazing was after all, that all of that Senator Ted Cruz still objected to certifying the election, which led to the second unimaginable event. Of the day. People hating Ted Cruz even more if you don't. Well, it's so hard to look at Ted Cruz sometimes because he looks like his own, madam. Give us a 10 Day audit of this thing, Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma began his remarks and in the middle of it, it was interrupted because on Capitol the Capitol steps, the Front end of the protest mark that had made its way up to the Capitol steps had tangled with Capitol police pushed their way through push their way into the building and and had Basically breach security in the capital building. They evacuated the building. They've put both chambers into recess. They suspended the electoral college tabulation. Every member of Congress and every member of the Senate, every member on the president. United States is calling for this to stop. They're calling for an end to this. The president's taken to Twitter twice now to express those concerns. I think the president should actually get on television. Um And and call for this to end right now stop doing this in my name. Stop doing this in this in the name of this cause that's the president has said on Twitter. He should say it on television as well. On been the meantime, we're seeing this unprecedented moment where the business and I do hate it when people say I'm president, But this is pretty unprecedented where the business of Congress of the United States federal government have now been suspended because of a breach of security. And because the building has been in many respects overrun by people. There are alarms going off all through the building on they're trying to clear it out. There's not pictures on social media off people. Ah, you know, making their breaching the Senate chambers and taking Selfies. Upon thee upon the chair of the president pro TEM of the Senate. I mean, This is what we're dealing with right now. As they have broken down the doors.

"Lower Now by 3.6% again, recapping Equities lower a Monday sell off back to work sell off with the S and P down 66 a drop right now of 1.8% balance of power continues. And once again here's your host David Western. Thank you so much Charlie Palate. So Wednesday, The Congress meets in the joint session to record the electoral college votes and formally designate the next president of states. But the Constitution provides a process by which senators and congressmen can object to the tallies from individual to individual states. And it doesn't Republican senators and over 140 Republican congressman have said they will do just that. This is how Senator Ted Cruz explains it. We've seen in the last two months, unprecedented allegations of voter fraud and and and that's produced a deep, deep distrust of our democratic process across the country. I think we in Congress have an obligation to do something about that to take us through this process. Welcome now former Democratic senator from Montana and former U S Ambassador to China Max Baucus. So, Mr Ambassador, Thank you so much for joining us. This is not the first time there's been a challenge like this. It happened after the 68 presidential election and haven't even after 2004 presidential election. Is this the system working the way it should? Well, I think in the end, it will work in the end of Joe Biden will be the next president. I think all those senators who were potentially going to contest the Results on Wednesday. No Joe Biden's gonna be president. In fact, In fact, I think they'd be very irresponsible to try to have it both ways because they know by their actions and Delaying They never got result, but they're also by the actions of playing to their base is very political. Many of the water run for president 2024. But if there's any chance that their actions with upset the elections, they would not be taking these actions because they don't want election upset because that would cause tremendous consternation the political process and answer your question, David So it will work process will work so long. This result is what it should be. Don't forget 206 left. Vulture for job by only 2 32 Afraid, trump. So it's the end in the end, middle of work. It's which seems to put everyone believes it will work on in addition to the electro ball vote count. You also have a remarkable number of judges and courts there, reviewed this and have found no evidence of voter fraud. And I'm struck by Senator Cruz is remarks. If you really parse them. What he says, is we've seen in the last two months unprecedented allegations of voter fraud. We don't hear much from the White House about actual proof of voter fraud. Lisa I have not heard that. About that's very true intact. I had the same reaction when I heard of Senator Cruz's statements. They all say allegations even around Montana. Who's gonna vote to contest Uses the word allegation. None of Any proof? I didn't say they have evidence. As you said off the course where this has been contested and found the rabbit is strange. Oh bar while people have found a voter fraud, there's no fraud in this. The suggestion of a commission I think is just bogus and me. It's a smokescreen. It's a red herring. It just talked, and basically they want to slow things down and play to the base because they want to get re elected or run for president s O people run for office and they do various things and savory things running for office. But also there's the business of the country that has to get done here. What might this portend for the Senate in its ability to operate? I mean, we just heard a report that now Mike Lee, a conservative publican actually led the defense and the impeachment for President. Trump says he doesn't think this is the way to go. There's divisions even within the more right part of the Republican Party. There is, uh, unfortunately, I think is a deeper Drift in the country. People are falling into their own little silos. They don't really care much about facts, and then it's also reflected in the Senate. It's been it's reflected. I think pretty much nationwide is a big problem. And frankly, I think that it's major. Challenge that the press select Joe Biden must face when he is inaugurated on January 20th how to get bring the country together, really, and the way he's gonna have to do that is to show That he the president and both parties we're gonna have to show for it is they do in fact, listen to they are listening to a lot of people in the hinterland. The country who feel with If the elites and Washington aren't listening to them, And I think that that perception that the elites aren't listening to borders is with causing a lot of this division. We've had several people come to the office of presidency, saying We want to bring things together. Certainly, President Barack Obama said that he wanted to that if we go back to President George W. Bush and I remember his first inauguration address One thing's he committed himself to was really overcoming partisanship so people have tried is that the people weren't the right people to get it done, Or is there more something more fundamental in the country? I think that a lot of it is that is caused by the media. Some of it is a cable news. Some of it is social media, the Internet. Um people of shorter attention stands these days and immediate and then bad news has reported seeing currency travels faster than the good news and unfortunately that I think is caused people just It's done. Think enough. That is Listen enough, have their minds open enough. They're big question. How do you solve it? And I think that one way is for the president. The new president. Really show that he is listening. He may have to get all get around the country does have a lot of time meetings. This show we really is listening. I just talked to people that listening, Joseph talker just could have to listen. Indeed it does. Listen, and people see that he's listening and really under 60 Boy. Maybe this guy really does care about then maybe something might happen. What do you make of the Georgia to run offs that we're going to have tomorrow? Now? I mean, at the beginning was thought that it was a real long shot for both Democrats to win. But now people think maybe those odds are narrowing. Uh, I don't know it zipped gossip. Um, it's Democrats are really motivated. Really organized. Think about $400 million is being spent in Georgia. Uh, A lot of the polls have not been very accurate in recent elections. Who knows? We'll know. Hopefully Tuan, Um sometime Tuesday, United maybe early Wednesday morning. Boy. I hope that's right. People think might take a lot longer than that. It's really such a go ahead. Like the other one the way long time e don't like saying, Okay, Thank you so much as always such a treat to talk with you. That's Ambassador Max Baucus coming up today marks the first business day since United Kingdom left the European Union. We go over what's happened so far, and what we can expect with Matias Metis. He has Council on foreign relations senior fellow That's next on.
