"New loan funding program the SBA revealing twice as many people tried to access the program on Monday than at any time during the first round of loans. Many lenders reported not being able follow applications for clients because the computer system kept crashing. God dammit man how come it seems like every time the government bills a website it crashes immediately like. I've never had this problem with my website. Pickles AND SOCKS DOT COM. And don't tell me it's because nobody wants to see photos of pickles wearing socks it's adorable. I mean. Look at look at that. He's not supposed to be wearing that suck because he's a pickle. It's still finding now look computer. Errors can be fixed right. They probably just need to turn it off and turn it back on again. That never works. But there's a bigger problem with the PP. It turns out that one reason small businesses haven't been able to get their money is because all the businesses have been snapping it up. We've learned that. In round one of the P P P A whopping eight hundred and seventy million went to publicly traded companies at least seventy five companies. That were helped are so big that they're publicly traded and some had market values greater than one hundred million dollars. Some of the nation's largest restaurant chains are facing backlash shake shack returning ten million dollars. It received after public outcry. The Los Angeles Lakers organization is the latest not so small business to government loan. The team received more than four and a half million dollars in the first round of loans. Lakers are one of the NBA. Most profitable franchises worth more than four billion dollars. Yeah it turns out the companies who are getting a lot of the small business loan money a small in the same way that Joe. Exotic is chill. I'll tell you about Kari Baskin when and how come. I can't say the end work. Even the Los Angeles Lakers got some of that small business money and I don't care what anybody says. The Lakers do not need four million dollars all right. The Knicks need four million dollars to bribe their fans to act like they don't see what's going on now. It is important to remember that although what these big companies did was shitty. It wasn't illegal right. They saw a chance a chance to get money and they took it. Which is what companies are always. GonNa Companies? Don't company off. You know how we all say that no we don't my question is why didn't the government come up with regulations to make sure that the money for small businesses actually went to small businesses. Like if you put down a bowl of food for a small dog you have to get the biggest. Everyone knows that I she just off the big dog not to eat the food. The does want to be like. Oh well think about it but I think better when I'm foolish. Well let me just eat some of the food. And then I'll let you know so you see instead of keeping the big dogs out the Treasury Department just left the whole thing to the banks and then the banks did what the banks do which is screw over the little guys. Four major banks are already facing a lawsuit. Alleging they prioritized bigger customers because those loans yielded bigger fees.

"Bingo card. Oh, that's a good thing. Your producer prince of backup for you every week that would suck if I threw that away, I couldn't have possibly. It's way too important. All right. Senator Tammy Duckworth has called did throw it away. Dang. Okay. Senator democrat Senator Tammy Duckworth has called for an investigation into the Environmental Protection Agency to determine whether the agency, broke federal law by granting small oil refineries, waivers to bypass regulations mandating that corn. Ethanol be mixed into their guests. Apply. Now, this has been done thirty five times thirty five waivers. From the Trump administration to, to some of these oil refineries and Tammy Duckworth is all upset about it. But she didn't give a rat's butt about Barack Obama doing the exact same thing in about the same time period. I'm sorry. He he only granted thirty four waivers. Whereas Trump granted thirty five she was completely silent about it, then not a peep out of her not one peep. Pathetic these hypocrites. Plus, she represents all kinds of interests in the. Ethanol industry. So you don't think there something going on there. Do you where she's got? Maybe a little conflict of interest, perhaps to mazing, what Democrats get away with and they're never called on it. By anybody in, in the mainstream media, by the Washington Post or the New York Times it's pretty rare. Meantime, New York City educators, apparently, told teachers and school administrators to favor black students over white students in the interest, of course of racial equality. Take you keep using that word I do not think it means what you think it means. So this is from the department of education, no consultant hired by the city department of education. If I had a poor white male student, and I had a middle-class black boy, I would actually put my equitable strategies and interventions into that middle-class black boy because over the course of his lifetime. He'll have less access than less opportunities than that poor. Shut up. That's what racial equity is. According to Dr niece among the consultant is that amazing school. I mean that is absurd. So you're doing the opposite of racial equality to bring about racial equality equality. Okay. All right. That's it's an interesting strategy, so you're using racism to fight racism. Yes. Exactly. Got it. That makes perfect sense. I don't know what your problem with that is any racism is bad. That's my problem. Really? Yeah. I know I'm old fashioned. School home school, baby. Yeah. Well, if you can absolutely absolutely obviously, since we home schooled for twenty three years, a little partial to that. But there are some people who just kind of, can't don't think they can. From wondering, I'm David Brown. And this is business wars daily on this Thursday may sixteenth co working spaces are big business these days as the number of solo preneurs in the country grows, so too, does the demand for independent office spaces, but a lesser known phenomenon has been gaining a lot of steam over the last few years co working spaces designed for women most big cities have at least one or two born from the same entrepreneurial zeal. Shared by the audiences are intended to serve some of these companies have international ambitions, consider the wing, which now has offices in New York, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and Chicago. There are more on the way including one in London. Now the wing offers co working features, tailored, specifically to women that includes offices that are, you know, warm enough cafes lactation rooms, Instagram worthy common spaces, and frequent networking events, but the facilities aren't the real draw. The wing is heavily marketing itself as a social club, dedicated to women's empowerment, it's even inked and agreement with time's up, the nonprofit devoted to safety and equity for working women. The wing is community first office space second founded in twenty sixteen. The wing has raised more than one hundred million dollars. That's a huge amount of the new women's co working market, but it's a far cry from we work, which is set to go public soon. We works owner sports controversial valuation of almost fifty billion dollars. If that sounds like a tough rivalry will look under the covers and you'll see that we work is a wing investor the company's hedging its bets, don't, you know, projecting that demand for women. First spaces is only going to grow. And as it does the wing is doing everything it can to ensure it's top of mind it's been entering into high profile partnerships, such as one with h. HBO the wings helping HBO promote the new season of the hit show. Big little lies. It'll host advance screenings in many cities and even a panel discussion with Reese, Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep, but the wing is not alone in cultivating starpower arrival. Women's co working chain called the Riveter has featured events with Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg, and US Senator Tammy Duckworth, by the way, in case you slept through history class, the Riveter is named for World War two's, famous feminist icon, Rosie like the wing. The Riveter is well funded. It's raised more than thirty million dollars so far. It has seven locations and Embiid to operate one hundred around the globe. Both the river and the wing. Call themselves women Centric, meaning men can join it's not a philosophical choice before it changed its stance. The wing was sued for gender discrimination, and with membership starting around two thousand dollars a year. It's also been the object of criticism that it's designed primarily for. Affluent women, while the wing may be grabbing attention in the market. It is by no means the clear winner. In addition to battling with the Riveter, it's also competing with growing numbers of smaller local women's co working businesses, especially in trendy cities like Los Angeles. Denver in Seattle term success is far from guaranteed. But, you know, maybe that's the key to success, potent mix van Bishen and uncertainty that spurring innovation innovation. That's pushing the wing out the traditional co working box. From one three. This is business wars. Daily Haiti life are take on the news shares with a friend.
