"You know, more libertarian minded conservatives like yourself and Senator Rand, Paul, Senator Mike Lee and even Senator Ted Cruz in certain respects over in the Senate. There are a lot of things with regard to criminal justice reform and police reform that that we could agree on the fact that Democrats aren't interested in sitting at the table with the likes of Tim Scott to figure that out or or with you, congressman Not only and by the way, compare that compare that toe last session. When the Republicans were in control. We reached out to the Democrats. We passed the First Step Act, which was a major criminal justice reform, passed both houses on bipartisan majorities and signed by President Bush. Our president, President Trump Eso, So, I mean all of of of the The bipartisan cooperation is only gone in one direction. Republicans When we were in the majority sought out the support of Democrats, the Democrats have thumbed their noses that Republicans law they're in the majority. Thank you. It's a great point to amplify there. And let's just recognize the reality here. It's no surprise that there's politics going on in Washington, D C and that legislation or bills were being debated and past solely for Election day purposes. But these are all dividing this nation across racial lines on the most polarizing possible issue that you could dream up solely for electoral gain. And there's something extra diabolical about that is, as you see the kind of violence in vitriol in the streets and even on in people's neighborhoods. Within people's own families. There's something so destructive right now. When and that's the great tragedy. The killing of George Lloyd, a struck a nerve across the country of that united all of us as Americans. It wasn't that it was the killing of a black American. It was the fact that was the killing of any American. Of that brought us together as a nation and outrage and and yet instead of using that, as a unifying moment of the left immediately swoops in and uses that to divide us as a people. Um ah. And you know, there are Racists of all colors in every society that is the basis part of human nature. But no nation has worked harder to overcome that nature to Ah, to isolate an ostracised. It's racist, then have Americans the American founders placed in our founding documents, principles that they We're convinced would eventually produce a nation where people of all races and religions and backgrounds could enjoy the equal protection of the laws and all of the blessings of liberty that our Constitution guarantees. Of Abraham Lincoln gave a very famous speech at all in Illinois during the Lincoln Douglas debates, and, he pointed out any other claim to the contrary has an evil tendency, if not an evil design. His words and those are applique as applicable to the radical Democrats today, as they were when he directed at the Democrats in that speech in 18 58 Well, said Congressman Tom McClintock of California is our guest. And let's talk about what's going on in the Golden State. Sadly, a CZ you know, as the rest of the nation watches California they often think that Ideas. Sometimes good ideas like Howard Jarvis is tax plan and everything that came from Ronald Reagan. Sometimes good ideas move from the West Coast across this nation. Oftentimes it's pretty bad ideas, and the state Legislature in Sacramento just passed something that I need you to comment on, because I know that you were part of the discussion with regard to Prop. 209 Prop. 209 put these words into the California State Constitution have said this The state shall not discriminate against or grant preferential treatment to any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin. Getting those words enshrined in the state of California Constitution was a landmark moment where where people of that state determined that we will no longer judge people on the color of their skin or their ethnicity or their gender behind their talents and the content of their character. Your legislature in Sacramento. Congressman McClintock just voted to remove those words from the Constitution. They want to reverse that trend. Well, what they're doing is not only taking on the American founders and their vision of a of a society where everybody would enjoy equal protection of the laws they're taking on Frederick Douglass and Martin Luther King, who had exactly the same vision. Yeah, well said. And yet if you say that, now look at where we are now in the national conversation, Congressman McClintock. If you say that you actually do want a so called colorblind society and you want to judge people not based on their race for the national origin of their ethnicity, but based on their talents and and and and who they are in their values. You're the racist in the room, and they're getting away with that conversation. I'm not sure they are getting away with it. I think people have more sense than that. I think there's a great silent majority that is getting fed up with all of this nonsense. There's only one race in this country to the American race. We come together from every corner of the world. Every race every religion on and we join together as Americans that the American model e pluribus unum from many one from many people, one people the American people from many races, one race the American race. Of that is that that that is the foundation of America. What the left is trying to do is to tear that apart to divide us into warring factions based on our color on our religion on our backgrounds on Daz, a cz, Lincoln said. That has an evil tendency is not an evil design does the Democratic Party of today the 2020 Democratic Party with Nancy Pelosi, Shuman, of course, Joe Biden and their head, although Listen, they're Democrats from 40 years ago, they who knows what they believe now, but the energy as you know, in the house, there is Ilhan Omar, Ilhan Omar and Alexandra Cozzi of Cortez. And like Do they believe in the concept of e Pluribus onem? Does that course. Of course not. That's very clear and their every utterance in and action. Um, there we have to understand something, Larry. There is a huge difference between the leftists of today on the Liberals of the past. The Liberals of the past way might have disagreed as conservatives with the with their vision of the scope of government, But there were fundamentals that we all agreed on. Of Ah and and one of the most fundamental wass, As you just said, You're judged by your the content of your character, not the color of your skin. Liberals believe that conservatives believe that you have freedom of speech in this country. You may speak your mind freely without fear of retribution. Liberals and conservatives agreed on those points. The left is something very, very different. They fundamentally disagree with freedom of speech they fundamentally disagree with the idea of America is a melting pot of based upon the principles of liberty and individual responsibility. This is a movement that rejects the of the greatness of America on and they are very clear and that in there every utterance in their very action. Congressman as we see statues being removed from the public square knot not removed through a regular order and through some sort of transparent representative process, but turned down by angry mobs. As we see protests on the streets until they get budget at the city and county and state level changed for law enforcement to their liking. A CZ we see these movements go forth on our streets. Can we continue that? You just used the term? Silent majority. Can we be silent at this point? Can we afford to be silent and just you know, we can't but we can buy. I quoted Lincoln from 18 58. This all speech. Let me go back 20 years before that, 18 38. Hey, gave a speech to the young men's Lyceum. He was 28 years old at the time. In it, you'll find his famous line that there is no grievance that is a fit object for redress by a by mob law. Ah, and I quote a little bit from because it's hauntingly familiar Today. He spoke of something of until all men among us. I mean the increasing disregard for the law, which pervades the country, the growing disposition to substitute the wild and furious passions in lieu of the sober judgment of the court..

"On it next week so of course the devil is always in the details but so far looks like everybody is is going to sign off on this yeah we were talking about this a little bit earlier and we reckoned well you know what it sounds to me like both parties both sides would like to get past the election without without a without it total shut down the government as so often happens and we've also heard that the president has been telling people around the White House when I get reelected prepare for to start doing some real budget cuts some real cut backs on the national debt and so forth you get you hearing the same thing yeah but then again he said that before he was elected well yes but to the rest of us now he's just doing his own people this and and that may be enough to assuage their concerns because you still have the conservative Republicans in the house where the bills originating and they're saying wait a minute what about the deaths that and this does that add more spending it does add to the deficit but it also cuts some areas of spending and it does most importantly prevent the government not only from a shut down when the fiscal year and temper but it also prevents the government from hitting the debt ceiling which is is basically a credit card limit and so one has to pay off the debt and if it doesn't then it's the fault and if it defaults that affects the overall economy and the literally the national economy but the international economy and that is very bad indeed for the party in power and right now it's the Republicans is this face any challenges in the Senate you know I think most are going to find some challenges from the from the the normal challenges from for instance senator rand Paul senator Mike Lee and rand Paul in particular he has always been a I hate to use the word stickler but I guess I it works here he says that you know it whatever you spend helped offset and he has me on multiple please on that on multiple pieces of legislation most recently the nine eleven victims compensation fund which is coming up for a vote in the Senate today so it has been his rallying cry it's it's been his moniker and I'm sure that there will be some some push back from him but it does tell us to get to the full house is that right the full house they hadn't has there it had to follow their seventy two are will serve the legislation had to be posted everybody could read it whether they do or not Donna is always a matter of debate and then they they will vote on it on Thursday the border that late Thursday but they're out of it on Thursday all right Linda can young live from Capitol Hill Kaley of news done now seven twenty the the the presidential debates the ones coming up but again for the Democrats July thirtieth and July thirty first as some people saying you know what this seems like the fix is in here's a new conspiracy for him like they weren't picked randomly right I am I did and I did see another post that said that said the front runners have emerged before front runners have emerged and it's like really you had one debate breach candid it and now we're ready to proclaim based on polls the front runners are and it just it just sounds like these secondary candidates are not going to get enough attention especially once the once the mass media starts proclaiming victors and so forth but here's the problem for this writer the Democratic National Committee on the first night of the first next to debates July thirtieth Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren will be matched up again as they were last time in their polling the highest in this group yeah well yeah in this group and because they are both socialist orders socialist leaning at least and on the second night yeah I have Biden Joe Biden thank you and camallo Heris at each other again and of course you know the you know the party wants to get plenty of people watching and that may be what they found was separated pardon me these four were separated on her because they're being separated by the media I know that as to what the the the the party has done I don't know I don't know I think sometimes we look too hard for conspiracies but if there are twenty four twenty five whatever the number is canonization all be given an opportunity to be heard unfortunately with that many people it's just almost impossible well there's that all right hindsight's always twenty twenty isn't it absolutely every find out how turns out yet if you could live your life differently looking back on it would you how many of us have ever thought about this I would say just about all of us have thought about that there are a couple little things I might have done differently I kind of wish I had finished college what it changes your whole life exactly it absolutely would change my entire life and that's the and that's the problem with trying to go back and say what what I've done differently if you like your life if you're even just reasonably okay with it you don't want to run the risk of creating a a series of tragedies for yourself warning to a survey of two thousand British adults four out of ten we're great how they have lived their lives so far that said that's just very sad spending too much time at work not traveling enough among the respondents biggest regrets well that's okay you're not asking for some you know major chains like of the person you're married to your right you know the kids that you've got that guy would have children then you know it's not like that but if you chose a different path in life like if you made one simple yes change when you were younger it could have changed all that right you could you could have gotten a cold and had to cancel a date and as a result you didn't wind up getting married to that person who is the love of your life and bore you three wonderful children right because you had a cold one night and how do you know that we don't that's the only way that you could give us the only way you can look at that is to say okay if I took about them this is interesting if I chose to make these changes in my life I would have to do so now based upon that knowing that once I've I've agreed to make the change I wouldn't know anything of the current life that I have no words you will know what you're right change well that's what I mean like you say well I wouldn't have had my son well you'd have another son perhaps do you have a daughter the one I have is is a good son you know it wouldn't be people used to talk I used to talk to me about when I was getting divorced so well you know you guys probably weren't compatible in the first place I go well when we were seventeen we thought we were and besides that I said if I had married her I wouldn't have my son and by the way if we hadn't gotten divorced I wouldn't have married the woman that I'm madly in love with now for the last thirty two years right I mean he is so you look back and you say what what I've changed and I I've come to the conclusion is only one thing I could really safely change that is I would not have climbed on the roof tenth nineteen ninety four I fell and broke my my ankles and stuff it's it's an interesting thing that it is an interesting thing to think about it is seven twenty five let's get update on traffic.

"U._S.. Only what's up everybody. Welcome to this edition of the Charlie Kirk Show. We're just so thrilled to be here with a surprise Monday episode. We're doing this because we have a very exciting yet unusual week at turning point in U._S._A.. We are actually broadcasting live in some form of a bunker down in Washington D._C.. Right on the heels of our turning point teenage student action summit and this is our fifth or sixth time actually only doing this summit where we have a high school focus summit with a little early college but mostly high school focused and this is our third year. I want to say third or fourth year doing this in Washington D._C.. rebranded and that's MR producer everybody. He's going going to be <hes> helping me out again today. Thank you Mr Producer. <hes> is rebranded to be the teenage student action. Summit was traditional the high school leadership summit. We'll have over fifteen hundred probably even more if the fire marshal. Lets US people in that room we we have the President United States addressing the students on Tuesdays. That's GonNa Kinda. Throw a little curve ball a little hanging curveball for your baseball fans by way should support our sponsor but online they do great job hanging curveball in our entire schedule and anyways the president speaking on Tuesday and we have Senator Rand Paul Senator Mike Lee Senator Ted Cruz Congressman Matt Gates Congressman Jim Jordan down from junior Kimberly Guilfoil <hes> judge Janine and many many others. That's not even the entire tire roster. The roster is just extraordinary and we're really lucky to have all the also interviewing jared Kushner so the the the the terrific jared Kushner who is <hes> senior adviser of the United States in a really good friend. I'll be interviewing him and we'll be releasing that exclusively on the Charlie Kirk show this week actually as our mid week episodes so that's why we're coming to you live not live but live to tape to drop on Monday here on the Charlie Kirk show and so anyway I was flying cross country this week and I have a couple of things I want to share it the guys for we kind of dive into the news of the weekend I was I was rereading our great president his tweet that he sent out the tweet heard around the world the tweet that created the squad wad the queen that anoint the tweet that anointed the squad all that sort of stuff and so I just WanNa read this tweet because somebody was reciting I was at this retreat this last weekend with <hes> a lot of friends and a lot of people that are somewhat political and someone someone said he had Charlottesville section is bad as you thought as I thought you should reread it and we did read the tweet live on the Charlie Kirk show but I even miss something I missed something really really interesting and I want to walk through it again. So let's read the tweet so president and trump said so interesting to see quote Progressive Democrat congresswoman who originally came from countries whose governments are total and complete and total complete and total catastrophe the worst most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world prentice if they even have a functioning government government at all now loudly dot next tweet and viciously telling the people the United States the greatest and most powerful nation on earth. Our government is to be run. Why don't they go back paws okay? This is what got the Democrats so upset go back. We defended it. I believe it's not racist and we believe is correct. Okay why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested place from which they came okay but there's a next sentence coming in the tweet it says then come back and show us how it is done. Wait a second he told them to go to their home. Country going on humanitarian mission and fix it and then come back to America. He's literally done to come back to America. It's quite inviting actually friendlies since you're so good at this fixing nation stuff. Why don't you go fixed wartorn Somalia? I these places need your help badly. You can't leave festival of sure that Nancy Pelosi very happy to work out your free travel arrangements. This was not covering and were even I miss this producer he both I missed this. The United States in his tweet was not saying we even never come back. He was not saying that you said why don't you take a little hiatus like a vacation because I hear Mogadishu's. She was really nice this time of year I hear the Horn of Africa is really nice considering they're being overrun by Al Shabaab and they have completed told a catastrophe. What out of Control Government can get us quite in implementation in Somalia and then come back he I was actually saying I want you back? Come back to our country. There's nothing racist. There's nothing xenophobic. There's nothing divisive. There's nothing hateful about saying that but I knew I just want to say even I as I was doing the live analysis on the Charlie Kirk show last week and I encourage you all go back to that show. I think there was some really good analysis. Even I kind of missed the mark on that in the sense that I missed that president trump said leave and come back which I thought I just think it's very very interesting interesting and what all of this kind of ended up being a debate about was a can you tell American citizens to go back to where they came from okay so there was a little bit of a broad brush that he was using. I mean when I first read it. I thought not for sure he's talking about Ilhan Omar right who is actually born in Somalia <hes> but the bait really became centered on you know do these women love America or not right which I think is you know I actually think one of the more fascinating debates that's come out and it's it's really interesting because we have this wonderful new quote <hes> from Alexandra Costumer Cortez where she calls America garbage and then that became sort of the center of debate on <hes> <hes> Fox Sunday morning show so here we go. Let's let's hear this. I think all of these things down radical compared to where we are but where we are is not a good thing and this idea of ten percent better from garbage. Is the what we settle for. It's like this like if feels like moderate is not a stance. It's just an attitude toward life of like all right so that's really interesting to me by the way because when we call her radical left I mean she's basically just owning it right there. Moderation is now out of Vogue Charlie. Well not only is it on a bogus so let's go back to this tweet though which is really interesting I had this pulled up because again you look at the tweets sense heard around the world. The president was actually being intentionally cryptic and I want to go back to this garbage thing that they oh see and we played again in a second because it's just so wonderful. Her unique love this country calling his garbage garbage. I when I think of something I love. I tend to talk about human waste too but the the president tweeted here he said so interesting issue quote Progressive Democrat a congresswoman who originally came from countries so it's really interesting and he never used names and so I thought to myself <hes> what if there's other people that are members of Congress are women that were foreign born. It turns out there. Are It turns out. There's actually quite a few there's actually twenty nine like members of Congress that were born overseas. That's really interesting and this is according to M._S._N.. News which is not exactly right wing propaganda and interesting enough Dan Crenshaw was born overseas. He doesn't fit as a progressive congresswoman but Debbie Mariscal Rascal Powell from Ecuador you go. He could've been talking about her. He could have been talking about Diana to get who was born in Japan. She's a Democrat from Colorado Inland. Omar's obviously on the list could have been talking about any one of these people could've been talking about PRA Myla mispronounce it Jay pal from me. La Jolla Paul who's actually super liberal should've been talking about her and she's actually from overseas can come at any one of these people but the media decided that it was about Alon Omar despite despite him actually never saying it was about a lot of Martin we inferred it because of some of the additional come and they owned it. They actually helped brain themselves that with the press conference afterwards no but it's really interesting that the of course but they owned it because they wanted to be martyrs. This is the left the left will embrace victimhood at every turn because the left believes that victimhood his virtue the left believes that if you can be a victim you should be elevated to a higher status you that it's what we call the oppression Olympics here at the Charlie Kirk show that if you are able to say I am the most depressed I'm the most ridiculed on the most victimized person therefore I deserve something better. Someone said something really interesting me lately. They said Charlie the way that the left views politics right now is they believe that the political dichotomy I found this. Really interesting is women of Color Young Women of color against old white men. That's how they see. The political died in America and I thought to myself boy that is the opposite of E.. PLURIBUS UNUM isn't it that is the opposite of what we talk about on the Charlie Kirk show the Latin phrase E. pluribus unum means out of many one so the left is trying to go back to tribal identity politics of saying well. The real kind of struggle that we want is not a struggle of ideas. It's not a struggle of collectivism versus a free society. It's instead of it's a struggle of young women of color versus old white men. That's what they see in the struggle them. I want you to understand what the left was actually trying to create here and what president trump wasn't is then. That's why they're playing into this is they see this as an opportunity to show yeah. Here's these young men of color positioned against this old white man in a in this really kind of hateful patriarchy. I think it's really I think it's really interesting that when trump goes after McCain who's an old white man who's a conservative old white man. None of the debate is about his skin color by any means. It's about you know he was a hero firm. It's a really good point and then he goes after flake another old white man he goes after Schumer norcal worker her yeah I mean there's so many old white men that trump has gotten into this. This is a really good point. I never talk about here's the thing not only that there's all sorts of people that he's got into verbal spats with all different sorts of colors Cruz Marco Rubio's were of course but but the left actually believes this and this is really really important. They don't believe that racism against white people as possible. They actually think racism is not hatred of someone's skin or prejudice. Someone's skin color..
