Yes, Thank you, my friends for joining me. So we've got a lot to talk about today and first and foremost. Let's talk about kind of the ins and outs of something that's made a lot of news lately. The film tax credit and this is something that's come up in the news over and over again, and all Beacon Hill of really big movement, though, has kind of come and pushed this film tax credit into something permanent. So James give us a bit of a rundown about like what the film tax credit is about. And what happened to it on Beacon Hill? Yes. So recently, actually back in July, the Governor Governor Baker, he signed the tax credit Pretty much answered the state budget. So not only is it going to extend beyond what was the original date of January 2023 that film tax credit is going to be, um, spread indefinitely. So it's here to stay, and that's that's good news to a lot of people in the film industry. In Massachusetts, as well as those in the local businesses, from hotels to restaurants, catering services, security services, transportation services, you name it. All of these departments are benefiting from the increased boost of of business Right now, the we have local lawmakers who are Applauding the move. We have state Senator Michael Moore of Milbury. You're saying that this this move the fact that the tax incentive was in Massachusetts for the past 15 years. It's brought thousands of jobs at last count around 17,000 jobs during that period it created and it boosted the Massachusetts economy generating around $2.8 billion during that time, and so it when Governor Baker did sign. The tax credit extension indefinitely. We saw a lot of people, especially in the in the union, SAG AFTRA union applauding that move, and and, yeah, it really is impressive of how many industries are touched by the films and TV shows that do film here as Jamie was mentioning the increase. We've been seeing just the past, you know, six months alone. The tender bar, starring believe Ben Affleck. Film here, Dexter New Blood Filmed here spirited filming in Worcester, Worcester. Worcester is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the film tax credit over there, the the president of the Chamber of Commerce, They say that thousands of jobs have been created. They're seeing hotels fill up there seeing more business coming in, and it really is benefiting almost everybody around. I think the only people that will be complaining about it is, you know some of the streets get closed down, and that may mess up their route to the neighbors. Yeah, but But other than that has been very beneficial and a lot of people applauding Governor Baker for making this tax credit now run indefinitely. Jamie. Um hi. You have been actually somebody who I've really admired because you're really getting into this whole background. Acting thing you can actually be seen in a few different movies, including your hands have made some very special appearances in some movies. So give us a rundown about what you've been in so far. Well, Nicole, So I kind of fell into this by accident. When I I had a little extra time on my hands. And I've just been really lucky that you know when I put in for things I I managed to get cast in some very interesting, um, productions and that's a little bit what we've been talking about. There are so many productions that are coming to the New England region that there are so many of these opportunities, so some of the things that I kind of fell into Knives out a little thing called knives out. That was like one of the biggest films of 2020 29th team. Um, I I got to be the body double for the main actress and other armaments. I I got to be her. Armas. Not really. Yes.
