"Yeah, I think children are normalizing the sexualization of a young age and grooming material for children. So yeah, so what are you using to combat that right now? What's been effective for you to combat that? Wirelessly just took it there. Pictures right out of the book that I was quote. You ripped them out. Well, I blew them up because they were very pornographic. There were sexually exploding themselves like pictures and a little kid can go and look at. And I blew them up and I put them on a picture on a poster. I said, is this what you want our kids in schools? Where did you put them? And I took them to the school board and I held up the sign that I made. And I read their word exactly what it said. And they just kind of looked at us like, here's how did you get home? Who's the day? Were they aware of this? Did they know this was in there? Oh, yeah, they knew it was. They knew. They knew. But they were they didn't know if we knew. But we gotta hold up a website. Our website at our lemon bears. The other parents know. So that any parent can look to see what books are in your school. So if you go to Iowa mama bears dot com under the columns, I think there's scoreboard books and you can go look in there and you can find out what are your schools. In Iowa, in any state. So what I did was, like I said, I read from the book. And she read from the book, there's two other moms that read and out of the four books that we read only the one that I had was removed. All the rest of them they said that oh, it was this was more about how they worked. Artistic and yeah, artistic value. Artistic value? Yes. Artistic value. So what purpose? And it wasn't pornographic. And I'm like, what part of sexually charming place telling these kids how to pretty much do everything is not born of graphic? And it's teens on young children. Oh, you get out of here. Are older teens on young children. So I thought it was good. This is happening? I mean, listen, you say this. Absolutely appalled. That our cheese, okay? I think this is normal. We have parents speaking up these boards saying you're censoring our artistic thoughts and our children and your anti LGBTQ. It's like, what are you gonna do? When you're two lifts up your fantasy from these books on tomato children. What are you gonna do that? Are you gonna tell people all they were, you know, they were just looking at their tastes? No, you're implementing children's thoughts. And it's really promoting pedophilia. It's grooming and child. It's like flat out fear of me. I mean, I have to actually kind of like the slot at past under Gavin Newsom and San Francisco. The San Francisco California senator, right? Called a name, but he's basically legalized. For 18 to 14 year olds. I see that's just wrong. This is I think a couple years old now. Yeah. It's not a disorder. Not a disorder that we needed normal light. That is just wrong sick because I'm a rape survivor. And you know, as a young great survivor, I was working when I was 14 years old. And as a survivor, I know a grooming is. And these books are definitely grooming. And they might sit there and say, it might feel good to these kids and the kids are liking it, but there's a fine line between when it's wrong or what is right. And it should not be up to anybody, but the kid's parents or what that lie is when that line is crossed. We should be able to tell our kids what is sex is about when we want them to know. Our schools don't need to be knowing telling them that stuff. I mean, I had to sign a waiver for my child to go to learn about their period. But I don't have to sign a waiver for my kid to check out a pornographic book in their school. And another teenager. And another thing that's sick is that they will not let a Bible into our school because they said that's religious, except thousands of religious they want to accept the Bible but they'll accept obsessed with cornbread because it goes against the sea. The school board? Yes. But what you can do is you can get attention from your legislators in your senators who we are, and they're trying to pass it a felony to dissemination of this material. Please go get your hands in front of you. So you know like sanctuary city. And he said, if you don't do this, you're working there withhold money from you. Right. I just think that's what these legislators are promoting. And we're going to give you the name of some of these legislators. Senator Jake Chapman is leading the way and Eddie and he's just supporting it along with sandy salmon. As long as the U.S. Senate Jim Carlin is also standing strong behind all this because they all think it's wrong and we need to get it out of our books. We need to take out pornographic and the LGBTQ lingo and put back in correct because this is what's happening. They're taking parts out and if they never took the Bible out of school to begin with, we want to be dealing with the pornographic stuff we are today. And so this is what I want to make sure that none of this ever happens to another child. What happened to me? I do not want to see happen to another child. And it's very simple grooming that they started the young age. It's all the way in kinder care. We have done segments in kinder care where they are starting to grow children from 6 weeks old. And this is just wrong. This is how they look. This is how they normalize it. And from a sexual survivor standpoint, I was sexually harassed or used. Sexual abuse, yeah. And I go to school. That's my safe spot. But now at schools are doing the same school that same that my predators here, where is my protection? What am I going to do? How am I going to protect myself? This is why suicide rates are. This is why depression is. This is why kids are having issues with self esteem. This is why kids are having problems going to school and being open about what's really happening because they're being told that what we're doing is okay because it feels good. And you shouldn't tell because it feels good that you liked it. So then if you tell then that's what they're responding to you. They were responding to that. Yeah, so they're the grooming these kids to make sure that they don't tell and they can get away with their pedophilia. And then they can pay on any child that they feel they want. And I just think that's wrong and I'm gonna fight it too soon now until God takes my last breath, I will be at every school board garden this as much as I possibly can. And these legislatures are behind you and your movement is growing. How do you feel in general in Iowa, you're working hand in hand very closely with these legislators? And they responded to me. The same legislators there. I mean, some more instrumental with the pornographic material, but I really believe that we'll get some signatures on that build from those same legislators. Absolutely anywhere to help. I can't wait to see what you're governor. Absolutely. Yeah. Okay, so you've got you've got Iowa that has the last time you spoke in anion, Iowa, which I think it was the first state one of the first states to outlaw mandate. For mass, and also vaccines? Or is that in the works right now? I think she stopped it on Medicare. Yeah, it's from the government, yes. However, the employees are podcast..

"Welcome. I am Alvin sedar. One of the two producers sitting in for mister metaxas today. And it's a real pleasure for me really to welcome you to the start of the Thanksgiving week. Now, I'm certainly sorry about what happened. The tragedy and walk ashore over the weekend in Wisconsin. It's a very sad way for America to start this Thanksgiving week. I think everybody was looking for a breather to hope that we would have something to just relax and just say, look, let's all calm down and get into a thankful week and now we have what happened over in Waukesha happening. And very, very, very sad. Later this hour, I just want to mention before we introduce our first guest. Later this hour, Lee strobel is interviewed by Eric metaxas and he's talking about miracles. So hopefully that's going to be a very upbeat to put a positive spin on some things that are going on. But before we get there, I wanted to welcome senator Doug mastriano from Pennsylvania to the program. He's going to talk a little bit briefly about the written house verdict and of course the tragedy over the weekend. But also, there's something very big. So very big news coming out of Pennsylvania about the 2020 election and the audit going on there. So senator Doug mastriano from Pennsylvania, I want to welcome you back to the program. Thank you. Thank you all but for having me on. It's a tragic day though. We watch what happened in Wisconsin yesterday and our heart is broken. I guess we'll get more information. Looks like the perpetrator there or the accused has a record of sorts of criminal activity. But prayers until then until we know what's going on for the recovery of those who are injured in that tragic incident. You know, when this happens over this holiday season between now and Christmas, it just seems it really hit home a little bit harder because it's a time when we come together as a country. When we get thanks to God this week, I remember a couple years back the Christmas market in Berlin had a similar thing happened and you know, it just really hurts because it's supposed to be a family and turning ourselves back over to God. And thankfulness for this great blessing is given us over the past year. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. That's what I'm not kidding after the rittenhouse verdict on Friday. And I just thought, okay, now we can X here. Yes, there's going to be protests. There's going to be some violence. Unfortunately. But we're going to get to a Thanksgiving week that, you know, that we can finally say like, look, let's try to put some things behind us. And now this happens. Yeah, it is heartbreaking. So on rittenhouse, I mean, obviously, we watched a bit with bated breath. Well, first off, clearly that case should not have been brought forth. It should have been dismissed because it was clearly an act of self defense. We had the video. We had eyewitnesses. We even had the one guy who was shot at survived. That was attacking a rittenhouse. And it just seems like our basic freedoms are constantly under assault in America. And so that's why it's important that we have more diligence and that we have more people active politically and running for office what have you and every position support. We saw this past year in Pennsylvania and across a nation that school boards are important. The county commissioner's important, even state senators are important. And so we can't stand aside now. Yeah, yeah. I know. And I've said this on the program before, it's one of the things I knew growing up that phrase that said, all politics are local. And it does start right with your local school board. That's the basis and you go up from there. Yeah, you really can't make this stuff up. I mean, obviously loudon counties put an exclamation point on a whole point of view there and how important even school boards are. But, you know, around my state here, thankfully, a lot of people instead of just standing aside and here's one thing out, but that really strikes me. American Christians, we have to be careful about, I guess passivity is maybe not the right word. But just I guess lack of care, you know, hey, things are going terrible in our country and then Christians will often say they'll throw their hands up and say, oh, it's God's will. That is ridiculous nonsense. No, it's not his will. For some reason God chooses to work through the agency of men and women like you and me to stand in the gap like Esther's like giddy and like Martin Luther picky here, George washingtons. And if you just throw up your hands, all right, God will raise up and deliver deliver from elsewhere Esther chapter four, but it will take time. There'll be consequences. We saw that in 1934 Germany. There was one guy standing in a way of Adolf Hitler, his name was Kurt von schleier, retired general working within the republic. And he could have stopped Hitler and he had his estimate. He chickened out. Hitler hadn't killed a few weeks later. So God rays up and deliver from elsewhere. The United States armed forces going to take us ten years to get there to think about the consequences had Kurt von schleicher done his sees his moment history would have been different and maybe no Holocaust and catastrophe the Second World War. So it does matter. So thank you for those who are stepping up these days and standing in gap and running for office. Running for office was never ever an aspiration for me. And I turned down his path because I had to do something. Yes, I know. And now you're going to explain what's going on in Pennsylvania because it sounds like some positive news this week. Yeah, I hope to be proven wrong, obviously I had been leading the effort for a forensic audit in Pennsylvania and it all started a year ago this week actually. The 25th of November, I had my Gettysburg hearing. And it really got things moving. It's as far as exercising or constitutional oversight of reviewing the election results. You know, the left, of course, they have their ridiculous talking points. It's funny. I was reviewing my findings from last year and when the media writes about me on mastery and who advanced the big lie and false claims of voter voting cheating and what have you. I want to see my letter and they had not disproven anything on my letter thus far. So this journalist do your jobs, turn your brains on. So Pennsylvania, I was leading the effort had it all lined up to launch a series of Arizona style audit ended up clashing with career politicians in the form of senator Jake Corman the president of the Pennsylvania Senate..

"Have I mentioned the stolen election lately You know my attitude is hey let's let bygones be bygones You know anybody can rob the American people of their voice What's the big deal Hey let's let it go Unless I'm being sarcastic I'm talking right now to colonel Doug mastriano also state senator Pennsylvania My friend Doug mastriano where are we in the madness of the 2020 election You've been a hero You've refused to stop looking into this because we happen to think it's important to know who the American people chose to lead them Where are we right now You've been in the forefront That were what 11 months now on from November election and we held a hearing Gettysburg on a 25th of November We're no closer now The resolution of this whole issue that we were back then I've been undercut by the Senate leadership the strip me in my committee chair because I was pressing ahead with subpoenas And I was going to have a vote issue subpoenas of several counties to get to the bottom of this here and it's a great catastrophe They stripped you of the chairmanship of your committee Now why would they do a thing like that Well you know I was moving ahead as a committee chair I sent letters to three counties to begin in audit of forensic investigation to get to the bottom of what the heck happened You know if there's nothing to hide open up the books let's get to the bottom of this That's why you keep the balance for 22 months so you can do this But Senate leadership senator Jake Corman was in keen on I think moving ahead with a full forensic investigation And so not only was I stripped of my committee chair I had a voting session I'm a committee arranged on the 6th of August It was canceled behind my back by him I was locked out and committing a committee voting rooms in Harrisburg I mean does this whole thing is ridiculous I don't know what the issue is You know the people of Pennsylvania and I want a forensic investigation to figure out what the heck happened here But I'm being undercut by the party What is the name of the man you just mentioned and what is his position He's a president pro ten of the Senate senator Jake Corman a Republican Senator cake Corman yes Okay so he is a Republican I think that technical term is rhino And he doesn't seem to like the idea of trying to find out what the voters in Pennsylvania did Now why if you don't mind my asking why would it be that state senator Jake Corman in Pennsylvania would be against this It doesn't make sense Why would he be against this You know I can wait speculate but he's been in office for 22 years He took over his dad's seat of 21 years So 43 years of a corpsman in the state Senate same district really has a face opposition And what I see Eric is just status quo Don't do anything risky that could overturn everyone's comfort level There's some opposition within my own caucus which is fine If there's going in the beak because this is something that I guess not all the people are comfortable with But you know I am But the bottom line is so when I was pressing ahead when I sent a letter to the county he told me you know he said I can't stop you but I urge you not to I sent the letters to the counties announcing that I had the intention of doing an audit and that I gave them three weeks to comply Philadelphia county York county tioga county Time came and went It was time to do subpoenas and then of course when I had a vote I lined up he undercut me and so I worked with him and his staff for several weeks trying to get okay what's your concern What's the hang up Couldn't come any resolution So I went public on you know so people are asking me done Where are the subpoenas I'm like ask senator Corman So senator Jake Corman has been in power for 22 years Before him his father held the same seat This doesn't sound good Senator Doug mastriano this sounds like the antithesis of what the founders try to set up in this country where people are elected by their superiors The government is we the people we elect people like you like senator Jake Corman to represent us not to have a sinecure not to sit there for decades the way Biden has done how else am I supposed to interpret this Let's ask another question Why are you convinced that it's worth pursuing what you've been trying to pursue and what has been obstructed by folks like senator Jake Corman Why are you convinced it's worth the trouble Well I've seen some things of obviously going back to November 3rd more importantly I've heard from a quarter million people Eric I represent about a quarter million people I've heard from a quarter million people from across Pennsylvania with viable claims assertions accusations of fraud or nefarious things going on at a polling station and they are all telling me do something set in a mass grano You work for us do something And so as one of the most junior senators in building of course I put together the hearing aid Jake had no pardon He didn't even attend it And for 11 months I've been champion this year and we're on a cusp of beginning this entire audit and of course under by him For political reasons now he's had a conversion moment he's on radio stations and TV saying that he's four We'll see I'm in Missouri mode right now show me but I was told by him and his staff if I persistent is not only with a strip me in my committee but also take away my Harrisburg staff which he did This is the kind of stuff that I think my relatives in Sicily flood that country for The corruption thug tactics and we're seeing it here right here in Pennsylvania So if you thought it was hard to get an audit done in Arizona it's even harder in Pennsylvania obviously when my own party's undercutting our process We're not suggesting senator Jake Corman is corrupt We're actually stating it There's a difference If he is not what I fear he is he needs to do something And I'll go over his head to the people of Pennsylvania or to people anywhere in the country To write to him senator Jake Corman because ladies and gentlemen the nation is at stake your children's future your grandchildren's future We don't get another crack at this If we look away when history delivers up to us a moment such as we're living through right now it's on us It is on us So I don't know anything about Jake Corman but what you've said to me anyone who is not interested in at least letting brave folks like you do their job I find that very disturbing and we need to understand why somebody like Jake Corman in Pennsylvania would not be willing to take the trouble to want to know what do the people in Pennsylvania actually vote It's pretty basic We're being told not to talk about this.

Jake Corman 43 years November 3rd Harrisburg 22 years Arizona 21 years Sicily 22 months Doug mastriano Jake three weeks Biden 6th of August 11 months 25th of November Eric Missouri Gettysburg Senate

"You've refused to go along to get along if anybody's seen the film. Mr smith goes to washington. What a great film. You realize we've always had these this tension in our country. They're people that they've got power. They forgot why there we. The people need to remind them. So if you live in pennsylvania or if you're any kind of an american and you decide to look away ladies and gentlemen it's on you. This is your moment to contact. People like senator jake corman in pennsylvania or anyone else but he is the one. We're talking about right. Now why would someone obstruct this. I cannot fathom it. Doug monster yano. What do you suggest i suggest career politicians. Somebody who's very comfortable. There's on upset the apple cart. You know but this is not about upsetting anyone apple cart or disrupting anyone's harming this about serving the people of this country. You know your book a republic if you can keep it this really is telling we. It's very timely that book because we've lost connection with virtue in our country and as a result is we have politicians who want to steer the ship in the wrong direction. This country is not in disarray. Just because of the democrat party but because of lacklustre republicans so it's time for the people in this country once again to be involved to be engaged. If let your voices be heard always respectfully of course when you engage with senator karma heavy but firmly. Tell them we need to get this done with. This is not about a squabble between match or gorman ends about our very nation. Pennsylvania deserves better. This is where it began six seventeen Six seventy six with a light. Liberty was leading the new birth of freedom in eighteen. Sixty three and of course two thousand one flight ninety three out in somerset county when todd. Beamer said let's roll. Try to take that plane bag in so that this is happening in pennsylvania. I think just gives you a bellwether where we are in this country writ large. We need to stand up. Get the job done. We want transparency. It's not about overturning anything it's about finding the truth. Jesus said you should know the truth to such a free. I i want the truth and the people demand that is well. I think that you know it's always tempting to be cynical. There are many people that have worldly wisdom they're cynical. The scripture tells us that unless you become as a child you cannot see the kingdom of god we have to understand that to be innocent to be guileless to be hopeful That's what god is hoping we will do. It doesn't mean to be pollyanna. It doesn't mean to be naive but you're trying to find the truth. There's some people. They shrug what is truth. I think we've heard when when herod said what is truth. It's a cynical shrug who's to say we'll folks. I think america wouldn't be america if we didn't have that innocent view that there is such a thing is true there is such a thing as the voice of the people but if we are not vigilant It all goes away. It's republic if you can keep it. That was set of course in philadelphia by benjamin franklin. If you can keep it can you keep it. Are we keeping it. We all have a job to do. So senator. Doug mostra no. You're doing your part what can My viewers and listeners. Do we have thirty seconds Wh what can they do. Repeat it if you would. Yes so first and foremost pray. We need to pray for wisdom. We need god's intervention here we need gotta turn the tables as we see esther with of course with heyman on the second part. Here stay in. They engage they involve. Let senator cormon not what you think about this year And more importantly the local and state level in your own states whether you're pennsylvania's not if if you can't find somebody to get behind that reflect your values maybe. It's time that you saddle up actually run for office yourself. Wow what an idea. I'm really glad that you ran for office. Senator doug must yano. I thank god for you. Were at a time but folks Do your country a favor and Contact senator jake corman. Let him know you're interested in the facts and the truth. Doug maestro thank you and god bless you thank your god bless you too..

"Great state of pennsylvania. Senator dodd mastroianni. Welcome back to america. I thank you sebastian. And i swear madness set in administration. Thinking is a good idea to give a list of american in afghanistan. That's just asking for disaster. This whole thing. Here's been a catastrophe. Yeah this is the less that binding omitted yesterday. We gay to the taliban of people who still have to be rescued a list that i can assure you will be used as intelligence by our enemies and may even be used as the basis for ransom deals in the foreseeable hours. It is less than a hundred hours until the deadline that we had enforced upon us by the taliban and bind surrendered to before we get to what you will do. In pennsylvania as senator master. Yano tell us in your opinion with thirty years in uniform. Have you seen anything in. You'll military career of vat timespan as agreed gis a strategic failure as the last two weeks in this administration. I absolutely have not seen in thirty days on active duty junior lieutenant that have predicted this kind of outcome and the think that we can trust the taliban or work with them. The very people that they gave sukkur as you rightly said to Al qaeda and osama bin laden that wreck havoc on her nation not eleven twenty years ago it. Just it just shows you that really. There's no leadership in washington dc. And that this. This clown show of removing our troops in july overnight from baga airfield and important hub for intel for special ops airstrikes to everything that is needed to back up the afghan national security forces overnight and thinking that the afghans can stand on their own without american logistics without the contractors without infiltrate is the same outcome that happened in nineteen seventy five and i got to see this twice in my lifetime. Here is this heart rending. Have you not learned anything. Do you believe the man who says the title of president. When he says that his generals told him it was okay to close the only strategic airbase in the whole region. and that. we didn't need background. Do you believe biden senator. Yeah i absolutely. Don't buy that at all because that just setting up for disaster if you wanna turn your back in the country and lots of collapse as unfolded as was predicted by intel analysts. Then shutdown airfield. But i don't buy it for one instance and that you do it before you take out your people before you out word to anyone that needs to come out of state and that the that the he has the gall to get on. Tv today and say he takes the blame. But it's president trump's fault i president trump didn't pull the troops out and send them back in again. No absolutely non. We had a conditions based withdrawal plan. And we also saw the taliban break the precursor requirements and the president responded by bombing them to send them a message. Let's focus to the keystone state state. Senator doug mastery on. Follow him at send mastery on on twitter. You have been dedicated. A vocal vocal proponent of transparency and rectitude in our elections. What is the latest from pennsylvania on getting to the bottom of what happened last november. This has been very aggravating frustrating for people like myself and and is that people audience here so ever since they hearing that i later on. Twenty five november at gettysburg. This day. here. I've been the leading voice and in pennsylvania for getting an audit done and i've been working in good faith with the senate leadership jake corman and others and i was hitting a still wall and it was clear to me last friday. They had no intention of doing anything. But drags out here. So that's why. Last week i went public so when people are asking where the subpoenas are i told the whole story and it's time for you to ask our president. Pretend the senate jake corman you know the these these gains get clearly. I've only been out of the army a couple of years than the the idea of honor and integrity here still foremost in my mind and i get it. This is politics now but when the very republicans at stake and you have republican leaders playing games and and not just taking a stand either way and just kind of dragging its whole process out here. I needed people to see this. Might be a mr smith washington moment without the night divvy. That was with that moving. The people i pulled back the curtain and we need to get this sorted out here. We don't want any games. Just do an audit get it done. So what have you already seen. What can you report to us. We have been told by the mainstream legacy media. Nothing happened most secure election in american history. Any claim to the obverse is ally the courts dismissed. It all what is the truth. What why are you doing what. You're doing senator. Yeah oh the irony. They'd be told that you're banning the big lie. Baseless claims baseless claims that ever investigated. And it's funny from the very people that for four years talk about russia russia russia collusion or a big joke. And what. I've heard. I've heard from literally about a quarter million people from across vania many with personal experiences somewhat. They've theory is a family members and friends of being disenfranchised being blocked from being a poll. Watcher we have still a hundred and twenty thousand excess voters in pennsylvania means one hundred twenty thousand more votes that were counted than actual voters voted. So there's a lot of issues here we need to get to the bottom of it. How can people support your efforts in pennsylvania or elsewhere Senator jake corman to get the job done and stop talking about it. Just do it time to get the answers. One man is fighting. follow.

And that's a question that has a lot of people wondering and at least a few. Shrugging i try not to get all wrapped around the word says nicole stott a retired nasa astronaut who twice flew to space and served a long duration mission aboard the iss. Maybe it's just a question of achieving presence in some place with whatever role you have when you're there she says not. Everyone is so at ease with the matter. The someplace dot mentions may be loosely described as space but has always been more strictly defined as anything above the so called von karman line. That's a boundary point. "The skyline above the rocky mountains is dark, can speckled with morning stars as Aaron Pulse The van onto the road somewhere in that vast sky, the international space station hovers the astronauts sip morning, coffee through a straw inserted into an airtight plastic bag, gazing at Earth, and watching one of the sixteen sunrises or sunsets that mark one day in space. Vegas at Earth as I gaze at stars. Twelve years earlier, the honorable Senator Jake Garn spoke to my college about his voyage as the first member of Congress to space. He said the beauty of the earth from space is impossible to describe, but he must have described it in exquisite detail, because I sat in the lecture hall, enraptured by Vision Earth all green and blue with a halo like glow, as if the planet herself were a celestial, being aura, intelligence and spirit. An, Angel. Mother Earth. No political boundaries no war zones no prisons, only the glory and perfection of Earth's pure potential without the clutter of human failings. This is how I feel leaning my forehead against the COOL DO MR passenger window, listening to the low home of the van engine. I am orbiting my life hovering in the space between our summer moon and our return to planet. Earth hoping. We don't burn up on reentry. Aaron steers the van through the streets of downtown. Salt Lake City then accelerates climbing the on ramp for southbound I fifteen. Only, four hundred and twenty one miles.

"Furnace say to me. Now furnace that you may is called Freddie, Saint-Germain public service as a road. I Representative and house baking chairman made a millionaire out of the son of a dye factory forming Saint Umeh's close ties industries, regulated by us committee. What makes say Jamaica one or two biggest recipients of campaign contributions from the three financial PECS lobby for bakery form legislation at the time. A wash dog group during this period noted that stage of name you see nine times more industry contributions than the average Representative. Now, the bill's co author Utah Senator Jake garn was equally implicated into this pay to play scheme, for example, in one thousand nine hundred seven you could go to the garn institute of finance at the university of Utah. Which opens his doors? Thanks almost exclusively to contributions of me, but offensive services lobby funny, Texas, it foundations like going is cheap illustrate in another way the industry kept his access to legislators who are writing Bank rules in effort to circumvent created campaign, finance and related laws now for after Americans still pours campaign finance laws that enable Gossage Opie prove costly as I mentioned before African Americans will be on the most Vesa stakeholders in the subprime housing market yet despite having the most lose they held little sway with policymakers in large part because of the Finnish resources mobilized by Wall Street, see over the last thirty years, the finishes services sector has been by far the largest single donor to national political campaigns contributing well over two trillion dollars. It's nineteen ninety para San AFC, America's on average, heckled tribute only pennies per household to candidates. And what the literature says is that campaign contributions typically translate to some influence policy debates if not actual policy decisions in Washington as well as state capitals in the growing presence of money in Washington as well as the capitals further isolate wish minorities and others for corridors of power decisions will be made in determining differential fate. Given the growing influence of money of people's limited African-Americans particular limited wealth like he put them at even greater disadvantage, percentage wise in population. Actual voting numbers you see in the post voting rights world campaign, finance and money and politics have emerged as yet another bulwark against exercise of electoral power about communities of color alongside at large elections, political appointments of felon disenfranchisement in voter ID laws. Now, the origin story of the Gorsuch, a main and the most common utilize subprime mortgage products. This loss phone is so wash industry money that is difficult to to the Jamaica sustain any serious defense that the laws design. Now, how's he has been one to that families have utilized as a means to improve their lot employment is another yet over the last generation of. So the media wage is actually sort of flatlined, let's not sort of falling. According to the bureau was his his six thousand nine hundred seventy non-supervisory worker earned eighteen thousand eight cents an hour. That's saying onto the visor worker two thousand seven. Earn twenty seven six less justified inflation now individuals families have responded in various ways, offset way, stagnation work, more hours. We create two hundred households women joined the workforce. And of course, we tap into our home's equity line. The free market has responded to the issue of the growing gap between income and expenses, and perhaps the most ubiquitously spots by the.

"I say we because it's DC ran decker Alex stack. We're a team and we're talking about the flying car possibilities. Actually, we're talking about the transformation of transportation. Good morning Stacy good morning, Charlie. How are you? I'm swell. Thanks for joining us and Alex stack an auto enthusiasts is here in the house. Always having to be here. Charlie. Hey, you know, what we're talking about the transformation of transportation. I want to go a little bit wacky this time. Instead of the flying car I'm going to go beyond last week. We talked about this trip that I had gone to Denver, and it was kind of a crazy challenge because of air, traffic and storms and things like that. But the reason was there's this great wings over the Rockies is a museum. That's in the old Stapleton Stapleton. Airport was replaced a decade ago by the the big new Denver International, and they have a museum there. But they also have created another. Museum blue sky. They call it down at this airport, and I was asked to speak at an event about this future of transportation in an airborne world. So I spoke a little bit about the development of the flying car. The things that I know the things that we studied we don't talk about it all the time on the show, but it was really fun to kind of bring together and bring everyone up to date on who's developing the possibilities for the flying car will follow up on that to last week in London was revolution. Aero. They'll be back in San Francisco in the fall to talk about it over elevate. Stacey you've been to that in the past. Yeah. Hoping to go back to when they have it in DC in June. Yeah. Washington DC in June elevate. And again, the the possibilities of really a commercial utilization of the air. You know, again, we talk about all the different things happening aces is the acronym. Thomas connected, electrification and shared. It's not gonna take care of congestion per se. In a cities. You know, certainly get congested. They move up the the buildings get taller. And you know, maybe there's a possibility of going to the air, and we'll see about that one day now one or the other things going to the air or experiencing these fiftieth anniversary fiftieth anniversary of man landing on the moon. And for those of us that grew up making our little spaceship models, Alex. I don't remember if you you know, I know you were boy scout. I if you wanted to be an astronaut when you grew up wanting to be an astronaut, but more of the shuttle era. Space shuttle era, really you weren't just of Jules Verne is shooting a bullet shaped spacecraft to the moon and hit in the eye or something like that. Or George Jetson. I'm definitely space shuttle timeframe, Stacey was what about you girl? I mean, did you ever think about being an astronaut? I mean, I I remember. I'm sitting in watching challenger. When I was one of those that kind of nip that in the bud. You know, so, but there's there's danger in everything. There's how many astronauts have we brought back safely relatively few people have been in space just over five hundred by the way, I happen to know that because I actually attended in fifth grade space camp in Huntsville, Alabama and also shortly after the move come out. So you know, that gives you a sense of how old I was eleven years old. But so a congregation member of my church went into space, the former Utah Senator Jake garn, and I remember him talking to us, and he was saying when when the shuttle was re entering the looking out the little tiny window that he he could there were so many shades of blue in the atmosphere in the sky. He's like Kodak does not have that many shades of blue in their palette. It's just that much of the spectrum showing. So well, we're, you know, we're at the verge of the possibility of entering space as tourists, you know, Stacey attended event onto very long ago. And the keynote speaker on women. National day. She'd actually been up in space, you had gone to the international space station and indicated it changed her life. There's talk that anybody that has been up there and sees our planet as a whole has a whole different perspective on this fragile object. It's circling the sun that we all are sharing and working together. Everybody up there and started. Well, actually, the the idea is to get again more people up there, but make it available. Obviously if and when it becomes a terrorist event is going to be very expensive. And and there's a number of different people that can offer that. So this this event that I went to in the reason we're talking about it. We talked about to other things I talked about flying cars, obviously is a possibility. We will talk about flying in an opportunity around the bay area to save time. If we were going from San Francisco to San Jose, and we could just fly across the bay in down there. We could do it in a quarter of an hour instead of two plus hours. The other speakers talked about space travel as a tourist I'll get to that. And then also supersonic. And the interesting thing this is the fiftieth anniversary of the concord also when it was developed and again supersonic air travel for consumers was a joint venture between France and Britain. And of course, the. Yeah. I can always remember the concord coming in to land. So I I grew up in northern Virginia by Dulles airport, and whether it was British Airways Air, France, or whomever. I I don't recall because I was young. But the you would always see the plane like at thirty and afternoon on final approach, and it's it's low in the nose was tilted. So they could see I mean, it was quite a spectacular. Aircraft. I only wish I had the opportunity to go on it. Well, it was very expensive. And I tried at one time I had a full business class fare ticket to and from Europe. I happened to be at the gate where the concord within the next one over I'm thinking, holy smokes. I should take advantage of this. And it was going to be literally thousands and thousands of dollars to just get on the one way. And then I would be in New York and have to come back. And of course, I'm frustrated. I didn't do it. It was mocked to. And how fun would that have been to try that the experience wasn't first class per se? It was you know, again, obviously, the people that work there took care of you. But it wasn't a very large cabinet was a small tube and wasn't a very comfortable seat. Now, certainly we'd we'd look at the I didn't even business class and some of these jets nowadays, and we'd see these fat flat seats and things you didn't need that. Because you're only going to be in the air for three hours or so so ours get you wear to wear that was London to New York. I'm sorry crossing the. Oh my gosh. Yeah. So that was certainly remarkable jump seat for that. Of course. And then of course, relatively small windows. So we're talking about nineteen sixties technology that was the forefront of of this aircraft. And so you think about now fast forward to now. And you think okay here we are fifty years later. Why aren't we doing more in space or why aren't we doing anything supersonic for passengers? And of course, sonic, boom. You lived in the area. Did you hear it to bother? You. Is it obvious? I did not you're then. So it was not obvious. Obviously it happens. Typically, it's you know, wait till you're offshore to exactly so the speed limit on these these as a went offshore. Then they could exceed this sorry exceed the speed of sound which creates the boom, and they can be heard along ground. But I have heard one before. Well, and again that would be so the idea was it was going to go to London. It was going to be, you know, New York to San Francisco or Los Angeles in a couple hours rather than five. It would be you know, maybe. Under to again crossing the Pacific. And then what we found over time. Is it wasn't allowed? It wasn't flying over. Habitants of our planet surface. It wasn't it. What the the boom was something that was disturbing or that. We didn't all recognize her understanding it's actually outlawed it's illegal to within the US. It's illegal to break the sound barrier. Breaking the sound barrier. Leads to a sonic, boom. And regulators have determined that people need to be protected from sonic, boom. And this is why Alex can only drive so fast. When he's in a car government is there in front of me. Only in Montana. Exactly. So that said there is development. There's a there's a company up in Denver. It's called boom of all things that is trying to develop the possibility of, you know, again, offering again consumers the opportunity to go supersonic to travel the planet in a way over the speed of sound. It's two point two mach two point two now is a number and we had an opportunity. Great presentation by Blake from sonic. I'm sorry from boom talking about this development. And you think about all of the things that might make the flying car possible like lightweighting new materials carbon fiber. We see that in the seven seven the Airbus three eighty now possibly putting that into a smaller. He the vehicle that can go faster across great distances at a relatively small speed. You can put you know, again, you know, capable seeding. But you don't have to do. Nobody needs his sleep. Because theoretically, you're only in the plane for a number of hours not overnight or something like that. So long long way out there. But it's it'll be interesting Stacy's, you talked about sonic, boom, and such to see whether that is something that can be accomplished, and he's not talking about air travel across the United States at this point. It's usually crossing the ocean. So New York to London, obviously. But on on our side, you know, again from San Francisco or Los Angeles to Asia. And then of course, a long to LA or an hour and a half. Yeah. Sangeeta LA is currently twelve hours, and it would be just over six. Yeah. Specifically interesting with airplanes, obviously, the more weight, you put on them as far as the infrastructure the seeds creature comforts, the bigger the engine you have to put on there to pull it. But then obviously the engine weighs more too. So it's kind of a double penalty. So if you invert that the lighter you can make the plane, obviously, you can make the engine smaller. But the engine that you would have just does more for you. Because it's hauling around less all aspects of transportation. You're measuring number of things you're measuring the number of people you can carry how fast goings the crew and possibly even the fuel burn. This all has to add up, and it's so much more dependent on reaching limits in terms of aviation. We got a lot more to talk about. You're listening to the flying car show here on Caygill. We're talking about flying. We're talking about flying over the speed of sound. But we're gonna talk about so much more about.
