"We'll see cloudy skies on Monday. Little cooler with high in the upper fifties. It is 51 degrees of DFW airport, Congress finally passed another round of significant relief to help American individuals and businesses suffering the economic impact of the covert 19 pandemic. However, it now hangs in the air. Over a showdown between the Democrats, Republicans and the White House over how much each individual should receive When it comes to stimulus checks. Senator John Cornyn broke down the large parts of the bill with W B A. P s Eric Bushman. It took months. But here we are. A lot of it might sound repetitive from legislation months ago, according to Senator John Cornyn, the provisions a lot of it all looks pretty familiar to you because of what we did last March in the cares act, But at the time we didn't know how long this virus was going to be with us and what the needs might be. Americans will get another round of stimulus check. Also, small businesses get another round of help to replenish it. Some provisions there like the direct payments to individuals, enhanced unemployment insurance benefits. And, of course, the P P P or Paycheck Protection program. The Paycheck protection program was focused on smaller businesses. And in Texas, there were 417,000 small businesses that got P p p loans that could be converted to grants under certain circumstances. It's over $41 billion worth of economic support for small businesses. Just in Texas alone. There was some confusion over what could have been taxable. And Senator Cornyn says they had to work that out with the I R. S in that bill that the P P p Grant itself would not be taxable to the recipient. Um, I thought that was pretty clear that businesses could been deduct their ordinary business expenses. In the tax year. We got some contrary guidance from the IRA arrest. After a long battle, we finally will include in this bill. They a reiteration of the of the fact that there will no be no taxes. Do associating with a P P p loan or grant. And that business is small businesses can take their ordinary business expenses off their taxes as well. And something else a senator Cornyn wanted. He even reached across the aisle to a senator who ran for the Democratic nomination for president this year, which are from Minnesota, and I introduced the piece of legislation called the Save Our Stages Act. Which was focused on keeping small, innit independent entertainment, then used that Texas is famous for open. Um And so they or does them hang on so that they could reopen once the local and state officials allowed them to safely do so. These main shapes main street businesses were excluded from the original Paycheck protection program. Even though being in the hospitality industry there were among the hardest hit businesses. President elect Joe Biden says he agrees with the bill, but he calls it only a down payment to further relief He will call for once he is sworn in as president of the United States. Just under a month. Eric Bushman, WB AP News Coming up. Have another check.

MJ Hegar wants to bring Texas values to the Senate

"MJ Hagar Welcome. Hi. Jonathan. Thanks for having me on. So okay. I I had a set first question, but I'm going to ask my own separate question and that is we started out the clip intro this moment. With your doors add. You ran when you ran the last time to me was one of the most powerful political ads had seen perhaps ever was it important for you to tell your story in that way? You know I think part of why it was. So powerful was the moment that it played in. In that moment people were. Being exposed to the horrors of family separation, for example. And the fact that it resonated so much with people almost. Sad. I want it to be successful, but it was also kind of disheartening to hear so many people reach out to the campaign and say, yes, that was me I had doors closed in my face to I've been trying to advocate for. Disability rights because my child has down syndrome or whatever it was that they were trying to be heard by other elected officials and they completely You know empathize with that that experience of going to DC and having your elected officials closed door in your face and treat you like if you're not a big donor or you don't have any political capital to barter with and you don't matter. And so it was kind of a bittersweet thing. It was great that it got the campaign so much attention but it broke my heart a little that people were. So gut punched over family separation and and so used to their government just not working for them that the message really resonated with people. And so you you lost that. That that ad was made for and now you're running for for US Senate most polls I've seen have you around by points within five points of Senator Cornyn the Cook Political Report classifies your race as likely are which I expected to be solid are given whose Senator Cornyn is from your perspective how is the race looking? Well you know I mean if you I love you know just talking about like the INS and outs of the data although I do think the data shows. That, we have a much better shot than Beto did against Ted Cruz a lot of people think that beddoe crews race that if anybody you know. If we couldn't beat Ted Cruz and we can't beat anybody in Texas. It's actually not true independent voters really like Ted Cruz Ted Cruz had a fifty two percent approval rating when he wants went up against Beto. and. Better almost beaten and John Cornyn has an approval rating of anywhere from twenty eight to thirty two and the vote exactly the same way, and so you have to try to figure out what the differences between the white has one why once a while popular in Texas and one's not And, the reason that that John Cornyn is not so popular is because he there's not an independent bone in his body. He just does he's told he does as he's told by his corporate special interests he does he's told by his party leaders and. You know that's very Texan. It's very Texan to have backbone and grit and integrity and stand up for your principles and so You know I don't really look at polling that much. Even fivethirtyeight recently said that Democrats in Texas are always going out will recently at least maybe not always are outperforming the polling in part because you poll people with a reliable voting history and we've been forty nine hundred fiftieth in voter turnout for decades. So who's reliable voter anymore when when you have double or triple the turnout at the polls, a lot of the people showing up to vote which by the way the people who are getting. Engaged to go and vote who haven't been reliable voters tend to be not good news for whatever political party is in power right? So we expect to outperform the Coles the polling we're we're a lot closer than Beto was in the polling against Ted Cruz and yet he's still almost beat him. So I, have every confidence that. After the debate we only have one scheduled that Cornyn. has agreed to he has kind of chickened out on the other to even though he told the Texas Tribune that he would be. Willing to do more. I think that he knows that he can't run on his record I. think he knows that the more Texans learn about him the worse it is for him we pick up a lot more of those independent undecided voters because my vision for this state is a lot more in line with Texas values in. Want.

"On five seventy. Hey, L I F seven seventeen now. KLIF President Trump will appear this morning in the white House Rose Garden design a compromise funding Bill, and we will carry that live starting at nine o'clock right here on KLIF, but word is that's not all he's planning. Bob Costantini is live at the White House with the very latest. So what else is the president planning? Bob. Good morning, and Dave from the White House where in a couple of hours or so the president will be apparently, we don't know if it's gonna be big signing ceremony or how this work, exactly. But once he signs the legislation to avert, a another partial government shutdown. He is then expected to declare national emergency as he sees it all along the border with Mexico, and that every indication is that he's going to try to move another six and a half billion dollars from other appropriations toward border barrier. Construction defer total around of around eight billion considering one top well along with is that includes the one point four billion. He was given out of this Bill. It's a trillion dollar spending Bill is important to keep that in mind, but the president and our focus has been on how much money he got for his border wall. And today dissatisfied. With that amount. The president is expected to clear to declare a national emergency along the southern border something that is also a warehouse knows legal challenges from not only Democrats, but interest groups as well. Yeah, I was about to say that that plan to declare an emergency is getting a lot of pushback, including from some Republicans, right? Senator Cornyn is someone who has said he thinks this is a bad idea. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell has previously said he thought this is a bad idea. However, he indicated yesterday in his speech when he's the one who announced the president was going to do that the president would sign this legislation to fund the corner of the government for the rest of the fiscal year. But also, then declared a national emergency McConnell indicated on the Senate floor the supports that idea. White is expected not only will there be court challenges, but the house of representatives at least now in democratic hands may try to approve a resolution disapproving of this president's move, the president's move all along these lines. However, we don't know if that would fly at all in the Senate anyway, and then of course, if there was hit by solution. The president would veto it. So that seems to be more of a show vote kind of idea maybe for next week or something along those lines. The court challenges will begin probably relatively quickly as well. He's going to say that. I bet the court challenges will be filed immediately after the president makes his announcement. Legislators and going home for the holiday weekend, the president himself leaving later today for mar-a-lago, so you know, with president's day, maybe it'll be into next week, but it's going to be relatively quickly. No doubt about it that they will try to get some sort of injunction somewhere from a federal district. Judge we've been through this with a few other things, including the the travel ban issues. Get to get an injunction from federal judge someplace who is inclined to give that injunction, by the way. And then let it play out in lower courts, perhaps perhaps the supreme court may eventually have to decide this. So if they're going to do it relatively quickly or whatever, but it's down to delay any kind of construction the president wanted to one border barriers, but perhaps that's expected here at the White House. There's no question about that. Truthfully. But this is, you know, in a political sense. The president is taking this move also help please his base after making the promises that the border wall would be built. All right, Bob. Thank you very much. Have a good weekend yourself. We appreciate the report has always Bob Costantini at the White House. The department of Justice has told the president that this will be challenged in court improbably, successfully at least for a short time until they can appeal and then get it work through the process could take months, maybe even longer and this programming note once again, we will be carrying that signing in the rose garden starting at nine. O'clock Texas time this morning right here on KLIF. Speaking of politics as Bob just was the democratic field is beginning to take shape for twenty twenty. And we always we're always surprised at how fast this comes around. Here we go what I'll ready. Well, you know, we're about what ten or eleven months away from the first primaries. It's like we just went through. And according to politico, President Trump is most worried about Joe Biden who has not announced yet. But the president reportedly thinks Biden would give him the toughest run in general election. We shall see Trump reportedly thinks Biden would give you just said that you say. Say if you want. Sometimes you hear something really here. Then you realize you. The Klein of brick and mortar stores isn't expected to slow down new report from core site research an outlook of store closures in two thousand nineteen this year. According to the research firms reports six weeks just six weeks into the year retailers in the US have announced two thousand one hundred eighty seven closings. Yeah. That's seven hundred and forty nine Gymboree stores. The kids clothing store used to shop there all the time of my kids are little. Shop goes stores is that a grocery store. I don't know what else two hundred and fifty one and then ninety four Charlotte russe locations LaRussa. I don't I don't either, but clothing, well, clothing store lists shoe sources closing over two thousand of its locations. Bankruptcies continuing at a rapid pace. With the number of filings. The first six weeks of two thousand nineteen already one third of last year's totals. And they're saying online shopping has something to do with it. But even online shopping has been down a little bit in the early going this year and over the Christmas season. New poll reveals that fifty three percent of California residents are considering leaving the Golden State. Because the high cost of living. And wonder when this was gonna win it was gonna come to this. But it's not just the high cost of living. I got to tell you the truth. This is this is a report from SF gate, which is the publishing arm of the San Francisco Examiner, which as you might expect is pretty liberal. And what it doesn't say is that politics has a lot to do with Californians distaste now for what the way their state is going this trust barometer poll by Edelman intelligence was conducted just the last couple of weeks, and they found nearly two thirds sixty two percent said they believe the best days of California are in the past fifty three percent of Californians are considering moving out of the state. That's an outcome here. The Texas too many of them will. Well, they'll think that the housing prices are cheap pay cash for and that'll drive up the housing prices here. Yeah. That has what that is what hap- people who've lived in Texas all their lives and are not making anywhere near as much money as people in California for making this could be a big problem. Excuse me. That's why I say, well, we need to do is start attacks for immigrants in Texas. Moving to Texas. Fine. Welcome. It's all yours. All wait a minute. That's gonna cost you thousand bucks a head or three thousand for the family Californians wouldn't even flinch if that they're used to being taxed for everything. Probably not legal, but it's an idea. Okay. Seven twenty five. Let's get an update on traffic..

"Of the demonstrations on Capitol Hill. The impassioned fight over whether to confirm Brad Kavanagh has led to heightened security the US capital, some senators using police escorts to shield them from protesters eager to confront them. Meanwhile, Brett Kavanagh's pass to the confirmation process. Appearing to solidify with too key Republican senators praising the FBI report and said it did not find any additional evidence linking him to those sexual assault allegations. Arizona Senator Jeff flake saying that he had seen. No new credible corroboration and a second pivotal undecided. Republican vote Susan Collins of Maine said the report appeared to be quote, very thorough at a news conference on Capitol Hill. Senators Chuck Grassley of Iowa Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Mike Lee of Utah appearing confident of the president's nominee. How you came up with your list of who should be interviewed by the FBI. I think I'll let you do that. Because you were at the same meeting that we did not come up with a list of people who the FBI should interview the FBI was requested to conduct an investigation into any and all credible current accusations of sexual misconduct by judge Cavanaugh, and the FBI made the decision from there as to who they interview. Christmas Blasi confided in over the years are those kinds of conversations usually sexual. They did. And I think I answered your question. Our request was to the White House. The White House then made the request of the FBI to conduct a supplemental investigation into current credible accusations of sexual misconduct. They did that. Just to be clear that we did not give them a less than people. And only these people that can speak with way went back to have them. Go back to those who issued statements speak with them. But a part of the protocol when you do a bad criminal background investigation. Is there anyone else I should speak to and in fact, when they went through that they identified some others who hadn't put forward statements before we saw that in the record this morning. Additional weaken. Twenty seven. Twenty twenty. Recall robbery. Green light. Tell the White House. Interview. The FBI has gotten all the all the permission. They need in order to interview whoever they think is necessary. There has been no one to corroborate any of the allegations made by Dr Ford or by MS Ramirez, and the FBI's reported that back to us. They have followed additional leaves. But the whole purpose of this is delay. This is not a search for the truth anymore. It became clear early on when this allegation by Dr Ford was hidden from the committee at handled in such an extraordinary way against her wishes and without her consent. This is a search and destroy mission. This is not a search for the truth. We've done everything we can to treat both judge cavenaugh, and Dr Ford fairly and treat all allegations made seriously that's been exhaustively studied by the FBI as well. As judiciary committee staff, there really isn't anything else. Members of the Senate Judiciary committee, including John Cornyn of Texas and the lawyer for Dr Christine Blasi forty issuing the following statement in FBI supple. Background investigation. That did not include an interview with Dr Ford, nor the witnesses who corroborate her testimony cannot be called an investigation. We are profoundly disappointed that after the tremendous sacrifice. She made in coming forward. Those directing the we're not interested in seeking the truth. Now, the Senate Judiciary committee received the report from the White House at two thirty this morning. It's only available in hardcopy is being held in these sensitive compartment information facility in the US capital. Only senators and ten staff members who have the requisite security clearances can view it Senator Cornyn again joined by other senators from the judiciary committee, including Thom Tillis Chuck Grassley and Mike Lee, also speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill. Twenty. There shouldn't be even a little doubt. Given the fact that the accuser. Checking that there are people could corroborate their stories are you confident. Any cloud of doubt, all of the people identified by MS Ramirez. And Dr Ford have testified contrary to the way, MS Ramirez, and Dr Ford alleged, and so the witnesses they have identified saying they were present at the event have all refuted their allegations. So I think that ought to settle it. One thing that was notable at the committee hearing with Christine Boise board said that it was not fair to the committee would go cowboy. I'm just curious Kerry Grassley, you've already your son some charge the day regarding uncorroborated allegations. I'm wondering will the committee take action against the attorneys for Dr blazey for? We don't prosecute. To the right now say, I don't know. And I don't wanna there's any reason to I think what I'd like to do when we get all done because this is almost rock bottom. I would like to have the future mending things. So we can do things in a collegial way that the United States Senate do and particularly when it comes to the supreme court nominations, and you folks can have something to do with this. Now, I would never use the word fake news. I consider you, folks. Policemen for our democratic system of government. But I want to show you where some of you have bias. I've had. Demonstrators in my office for two weeks. Now boasts four cavenaugh and against cavenaugh and one time the people at were for cavenaugh wanted to be interviewed. And they said we only enter where you're only interested in view interviewing people against cavenaugh. Now is that's a bias that none of you should be proud of. Boards. Legal team has sent a letter to the FBI near characterizing this investigation stain on the process on the FBI and on our American ideal of Justice. What's your response to that? I'll give you let the FBI do what the FBI is hired to do and keep political influence interference out of it. And my making a call to the FBI that you ought to do something is political interference. I made no call to the FBI since this whole process started a week ago. And I'm not going to I never had any confrontation with anybody in the White House because I got confidence in FBI, they go where the facts lead them. Well, I I think it's also important to consider the source. This is a legal team that when we formally communicated on more than one occasion that we would come to California and have a confidential interview and on her terms. Dr Ford to testify. She wasn't aware of that. Really makes me wonder the competency of the folks who she has advising her either either, the competency or the political bias that they have. Senator Chuck Grassley joined by Senator Thom Tillis and also earlier we heard from Mike Lee, Republican of Utah and John Cornyn of Texas all members of the Senate Judiciary committee, well once supportive of supreme court nominee, Brad Kavanagh. Retired Justice appointed by Gerald Ford. John Paul Stevens is no longer a fan. The retired associate Justice earlier today said that he thought cavenaugh had the qualifications, but has since changed his mind, quote, his performance in the hearings changed my mind, calling it disqualifying. We carried his remarks in West Palm Beach, Florida. You'll be able to see it later tonight on the C span networks from the halls of the Russell Senate office, building Lindsey Graham of South Carolina responding to reporters questions on the cavenaugh nomination. I'm competent the FBI did a good job. They were not hindered in any way. The focus of the background. Check was on credible allegations before the committee. I was looking for certain things to be answered by witnesses. I'm more than ever. What the committee found has held up. And then some the main thing for me is that you need to go to the FBI and you need to ask them. Did they feel like they were able to do their job without interference?.

Additional background. Investigation of the sex assault accusation against supreme court nominee, Brad Kavanagh. And we got some real hard information there. They find themselves caught between Senate leaders fighting Kavanagh's confirmation and their states more conservative electorates, a debate over access to documents from Brett Kavanagh's work at the George W Bush White House dominated the nominee supreme court confirmation hearing Thursday, New Jersey Democrat Cory Booker made waves by releasing what he thought was a confidential Email I'm going to release the Email about racial profiling, and I understand that that the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate. And my colleagues numerous said that to accept the responsibility, very serious charges that were made against me by my colleague from Texas. I don't know if they were political bluster sincere feelings if what he said was sincere. There actually are Senate rules governing the behavior of senators if he feels that I now my fellow colleagues who were with me. How violate those rules if he's not a tempest in a teapot? "Consequences. And so, sir. I come from a long line is all of us Americans understand what that kind of civil disobedience is say save a Senator who's going to be civilly disobedient. Now when Trump tweets he's Mont here. We have a Senator who's a clown. He's a clown. He's into drama. So I we come from a long history of civil disobedience you kidding me in the US Senate. So he's he's doing figurative lease throwing over the table. Go ahead. Right now before your before your processes finished. I'm going to release the Email about racial profiling. And I understand that that the penalty comes with the Email about racial, profiling shows a cavenaugh didn't support it anywhere. But he's ready for his penalty. Ladies and gentlemen. He's ready for his penalty. This is civil protest. Go ahead. And if Senator Cornyn believes that I violated Senate rules, I openly invite and accept the consequences of my team releasing that Email right now, I'm releasing it to expose it. Number one. The emails are being withheld from the public have nothing to do. Emails are being withheld from the public has anybody ever seen an Email from the United States Senator how come freedom of information act doesn't apply to the United States senators members of the house? The reason is they wouldn't be able to function. So why should it apply to a president and his lawyer when they're trying to function to? Go ahead. Security nothing to jeopardize the sanctity of those ideals. Dear instead what I'm releasing this document right now. Sir is that we have a process here. For personal the highest office in the land for a lifetime appointment had slowed down the highest office in the land is president. We know. It's a lifetime appointment go ahead shooting through this before me, and my colleagues can even read my college. Before my colleagues, and I. Go ahead. Can I ask you can I ask you how long are you going to say the same thing? Three or four times. I'm seeing how long do you want knowlingly violating the rules? Wow. What a tough guy he's knowingly violating the rules. So what's going to happen? Lindsey Graham going to put the cups on them. He's knowingly violating the rules. Tough guy. Making a mockery of himself. To me. He has demonstrated that he's not qualified to be president not by age. No by what between his ears, which isn't much. Go ahead. Tell us there. I'm saying right now that I'm releasing I'm releasing committee, confidential. Invoked my name. I do I assist on an opportunity to respond. I did not mention his name, but he mentioned my name. And he's right. Running for president is no excuse for violating the rules of the Senate. And by the way, kudos to John Cornyn. Seriously. He stood up to this bullying. And that's what he is. He stood up to this democratic any and he fought go ahead. Then she -ality of the documents that we that we are privy to this is no different from the Senator deciding to release classified information that is deemed classified by the executive branch because you happen to disagree with the classification decision. That is irresponsible. Outrageous. And I hope it's a Senator will reconsider his decision because no Senator deserves to sit on this committee or serve in the Senate in my view, if they decide to be a law to themselves and willingly flout the rules of the Senate and the determination of confidently and classification now, the Democrats will agree with that. Because they accused Trump of this all the time from the executive branch perspective, right? Flouting the rules, violating the norms being uncouth, blah, blah. Go ahead. Irresponsible and conduct unbecoming. A senator. Wow. That was something wasn't it. But we're not done. Let's see here cut four, Mr. producer, go. If he feels that I and now my fellow colleagues who were with me. Violate those rules if he's not a tempest in a teapot. But sincerely believes that then bring the charges Br go through the Senate process. This is all a setup it's all staged. This is it's such a disgrace. But these leftists have done to our institutions they destroy them. All they burn them down. Burnham down. And yet they accused Trump at doing that again here, the never Trumpers. Wow. You know? He's bad. He's out of play backtrack to Trump era. Anyway, go ahead on somebody that you said is undercover to be a Senator let's go through that process. Because I think the public should understand you notice they burn the place down in the name of the public all the time you notice that. The public. Now, you're an ego maniac who wants to be president United States. Yet haven't done a damn thing in the Senate. And so you create the spectacles to draw attention to yourself, and you just happen to simultaneously, send out fundraising emails. It's a crock some of us care about this country. Mr. Booker, obviously, you don't because of course, you think the the framers of the constitution where so horribly imperfect that the constitution itself should be rejected. Let's invite Mr. Booker onto the program, Mr. producer. Let's see if we can have a conversation about the constitution with Mr. Booker. Go ahead issue of does the public have a right to know. This is not about the presidential records act. This is not a violation the president records, Alex how the public have a right to access to your emails, Mr. Booker. How about the citizens of New Jersey? All right. Let's try this New Jersey. All of you listening to this program in New Jersey up and down New Jersey. There's many many of you north jersey. Many of you listening on the great WABC fifty thousand watts. South jersey. Many of you listening on the great w PHP fifty thousand watts and everything in between Atlantic City. We're in many places in New York excuse me in New Jersey. Why don't you call Mr. booker's office be civil please? Be civil. And ask them to release all of his emails since he's been a United States Senator. On behalf of the citizens of New Jersey. Publicly released Email, so you the people of New Jersey, so you can know. Whether you're a Senator is conspiring behind the scenes, the sabotage a supreme court nominee. Or whether he's a statesman. I strongly encourage you to do that. I'll be right back..

"Traffic and weather the day's top stories, and you this is the Larry O'Connor show. The idea that we could somehow to your lengthy process. These documents many of these documents are dumped us in the last minute. But to Senator Cornyn actually made a very good point. I knowingly violated the rules that were put four, and I'm told that the committee confidential rules have knowing concept consequences, and so, sir. I come from a long line is all of us Americans understand what that kind of civil disobedience, my unintended consequences, civil disobedience, the United States Senator who is he being disobedient to he's one of one hundred lawmakers this the so this is the drama that played out this morning on Capitol Hill. It's Cory Booker. I knowingly violated the rules. I come up with a long history of civil disobedience, don't, you know? This all stems from a bunch of documents that were as you just heard from Cancun, husky explaining these are protected by various levels of executive privilege from windbreak cabin on not as a judge but worked in the White House counsel's office under George W Bush and the senators were able to see them, but they weren't released for the public because of the various aspects of the privilege, and such and he's going to release them I'm going to release them. Well, you should if those are still confidential or protected on executive privilege, you shouldn't release them because that's breaking rules. And if you break your rules, then you have to be disciplined. He's like disciplined me, please. I'm begging you to discipline me too. I am right now before your before your processes finished. I'm going to release the Email about racial profiling. And I understand that that the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate. And if Senator Cornyn believes that I violated Senate rules, I openly invite and accept. The consequences of my team releasing that Email right now that sounds bad. They're trying to hide an Email from Brett Cavanaugh about racial, profiling this. Oh my God. We need to see what are they hiding? The Email that got sent out. Okay. To punch lines to this number one. The Email itself says Brett capital recommending that the administration not adopt policies post nine eleven and I'm talking mealy post nine eleven where they would racially profile people based on their nation of origin, their their Arab descent their religion being Muslim being, you know, being what we all know would be your standard, typical Jihadist. He was actually recommending against profiling people with those things number one number two. The memos. That were in question. We now find out had already been cleared for release. So this was all a complete and total waste of time. In other words, it was Cory booker's political career in a nutshell, and I'm releasing it to expose the number one. The emails are being withheld from the public have nothing to do with national security nothing to jeopardize the sanctity of those ideals that I hold dear. That's great, Cory. Now. Do the Warrenton Carter page you want to start releasing stuff to prove to the American people that what's being held back. Redacted have nothing to do with national security than out champion releasing all of the documents having to do with FBI and spy gate. Lead the charge Corey. I'll be right there with ya. I'll be right standing right behind you. But in the meantime, please by all means compare yourself to a man who was crucified in film. This is about the closest I'll probably ever have in my life to an IM Spartacus moment. Thanks. Cory Cory booker's, not Spartacus. Okay. You're not Spartacus Corey. This is about the closest I'll probably ever had.

"To conference and again i think the important thing is this can get over the finish line which will be good for the economy and good for commercial and regional banks and then after that what's next is it infrastructure is that reforming the consumer financial protection bureau what's the next big item for for you for your for the administration of an economic fend right from my perspective from charters perspective the other piece of legislation will working very closely with senator cornyn is on for which is is basically upgrading sephia since sylvia's reform uh i believe that this is very important for national security and very important for everything we're doing so we're hopeful that that will get through i think he's you know we've had we've we've talked about housing reform i'm not sure that's something that will get done this summer before the elections but we are determined to try to get finian and friday restructured in some format so that we don't put tax payers at risk uh and as you know we're very focused here at treasury working closely with the irs on the implementation of the tax jobs out so it touches every single aspect to the irs about a minute or to put on the issue of tax reform in particular there's been some chatter really interested he got your take on this that there could even be in additional bill later this year brits tweaks to the tax reform are even more even i president trump said at one of his speeches that he would like to see more this year before the terms is that actually in the works it may be so what i would say is there's a lot that we can do on regulations there's a few items that may need to go through a technical corrections bell and then i think the president is is is interested in looking at what are the things that we could continue to do afterwards and move forward line this week when there's a new trade tariff policy announced what is the reaction going to be from the market summer one but republicans are there are going to be satisfaction or is there going to be a lot of criticism like quite frankly i'm not going to comment on where the markets are in the short term as you know there's a lot of volatility there's no question the market is still up a ton since.
